"On the sidelines and that's gavrikov sitting on the sidelines for trade related reasons, but you watch team like Detroit sneak out two points versus the admins and winners last night and that's part of the answer, isn't it? In answering the question as to why there are no trades. Well, it's because a team like Detroit stays in the mix, right? Detroit loses a game like that or they lose a series of games in a row. Well, maybe that changes the thinking of how aggressive Steve eisenman wants or needs to be. Is he more of a buyer? Is he more of a seller? But that's what gums things up is there really isn't a clear cut line at this stage aside from the teams at the lower end of the leak between the buyers and the sellers, but I guess that'll show itself in the days. Well, it will and that adds pressure to the managers because what might have been an easy decision to sell or buy becomes more and more complicated as the team plays themselves into a different position and the days get shorter. I mean, what's the 16th of February here? We're now at its basically two weeks till its goal time for them and you know that last day, a deal will come up, the names come up, the hockey department talks about it, the scouts are talking about it, the GMs are talking to the pro scouts, who else do they have in their in their organization to balance out the trade. The amateur scouts are saying we like these draft picks. We like the prospects, the analytics departments put together quick profiles on the players that they have all at their disposal, and then all that information lands on the desk and you got, I don't know, how long did these guys have for a decision? 15 minutes? By the time he gets to the end. They're like, yes or no, because I'm moving on to the next guy. So here's the crazy thing Drake. You bring up Detroit. So I just checked them out again here. So 50 points and 53 games. Same as buffalo. There are two points behind Florida, three points behind the islanders. They've got four games in hand on both of those teams. Food. So you've got to give them the thought that they'd win two of those games and that puts them in front of both of those. That puts them right behind Washington. And they've got three games in hand in Washington. Washington's an interesting team. I had their game last week, all 6 defensemen that played in the game drags on the signed. For next year. Yeah. Like this really feels like now, Martin sheriff Ari is a good young player. He'll get signed. There are players there that they probably will sign, but my goodness. They feel like a team in transition. They may be a seller. They could be, you know, that because they might say, look, this is as far as we're going to go here. So we might need to move some pieces. We really interesting to watch Washington too. Look, I want a quick thought on the Nashville predators. They can't seem to figure it out. They just can't seem to figure it out. And what I know based on multiple sources, not breaking news it's obvious a frustrated group right now. Probably from the multilayered ownership group that they certainly through the general manager's office, coach's office, and into that dressing room, there's rumblings about the coach and a disconnect with his players and all of that. It seems like David Boyle has got a tough decision to make, right? I mean, who's in play who isn't in play with the trade deadline looming.

"If he had one year left, Steve? I would say, yeah, I would probably, I would probably say three plays and a high prospect would definitely do it. Maybe even a first round pick would do it. But, you know, with that year taking away in your inability to negotiate with somebody that possibly might want to test the free agent market, I'm not sure if I want to pay that price. It's like the Red Sox going for that Japanese player. They gave him $55 million just to say hi to them. Just to sit them down and go, can we talk to you? We got a great. They got a great business model over there on at Fenway. But you know another captain, you know, I love the guys that have seized on their sweater and, you know, the other team that I hear is highly interested in them is the Detroit red wings and I've talked about it before. If Steve eisenman's in on them, then I'm in on them too because I'll do whatever Steve iceman does. That's just my all time favorite yeah, but you also know Steve the Jim Rutherford out in Vancouver was not gonna be an idiot either. He's gonna want to get valued assets in return if bob leaves leaves the room. So what's that what's the biggest asset that Detroit might have and it's also on a minimal contract? It's Dylan Larkin. Dylan Larkin is probably going to be the guy that Jim Rutherford Rutherford wants out out west. Yeah. So I mean, no matter what, you're going to pay. You're going to pay a pretty good price. And speaking of Vancouver real quick, I can't believe the bullcrap they're pulling on Bruce boudreau. This poor guy. I mean, you know, people in Springfield still rave about him when he played for the Indians, but is there a guy who just seems like so fun? I would love to, I would love to be a player under Bruce boudreau. And I'm just slinging mud at him. It's just so infuriating. I hate to see it. Barbecue Bruce is what we call him. Such a great guy, great coach. And listen, I gotta give this guy kudos for how professional he's been throughout all this shit storm to be honest with you and just doing the media thing. Doing the playa thing, going to work every day and just doing what he's contractually obligated to do. And unfortunately, the Vancouver Canucks in my opinion dropped the ball on this whole thing because they put him out to dry. And I think because of Bruce's professionalism and what he did to the final end, you know, hey, he was emotional. Pointing out to the crowd, letting them all know, thank you very much, because it was a chant.

"The fourth best free agent at his position. As opposed to this is the second best defenseman on the market today and we're going to throw him all this money. So we guarantee he comes here. Whereas, you know, if they go out and they get Andrew Cobb, for example, like he's what probably wasn't first on anybody's list. As like centers, you probably wasn't super high up on everybody's list. But he's a very competent NHL player who, if you put him in the right positions, will play well for you. And I don't know, you know, I don't know what more you can do if you're Steve eisenman to kind of make it a little easier on your death guys. Yeah, I completely agree. Okay, Florida Panthers. So last year, they set the high watermark for offensive creation in this era, basically, right? They were like literally the best regular season team we've seen in 15 years in terms of shots, chances expected goals, everything. This year, they're actually slightly better in every single one of those categories. They're averaging 38.4 shots per game, 15.3 high data chances per game, and 3.8 expected goals per game. The only difference is that they've gone down to tenth an actual goal scored because they're 29th and shoot team shooting percentage. Now, I think there's a key distinction here between what last year's team was doing and what this year's team is doing at least a partially explains that. I asked Stephen bat about if clear site analytics was showing any sort of difference in terms of the way they're creating this. And they have them down from first in expected goals generated off the rush, which was their bread and butter. The 14th, which there's still above average, but it's a pretty clear departure. And specifically, it's weird. They were first and breakaways. Last year, there's 25th. So far this season. Wow. So clearly in terms of their roster construction, the personnel and the coaching, like they've changed, they're still generating a lot. It's coming in different ways. And I think that explains part of it. I still am a believer in them in the sense that I think just when you have the type of volume that they're generating, you're going to score goals and they've been playing the last little while like without barkov without lindell and because of how close they are to the cap, they're not even dressing anyone in their place. They're basically playing down a couple of guys and yeah, neck plaid missed a bunch of games too. Yeah. And so I think in the grand scheme of things, if you said all this stuff was going to happen, I would take this as like where they are right now. It seems like it's on the good range of the good kind of range of outcomes for them actually and I think they're going to be better. And I think the great news is that you look at what Matthew construct has been doing in his first year for them. And he's having just an unbelievable season. Unreal. It's about the investment they made in him, which was obviously beyond just for this season. They basically have him. For all of his prime moving forward after this season, I believe after Keith yandel extension or a buyout comes off the books, they're going to have some flexibility and Patrick hornwood contract expires. They're going to be able to actually add to this team. This was going to be always going to be one of those bridge years for them where they still try to be competitive, but kind of plan for the future. So I think yeah, I'm actually pretty optimistic about this team, regardless of how shaky it's been through the first 25 games.

"I would love to keep the podcast going. So where I see it maybe going is because it's got a couple kids and he's going to want to be around his kids more as they keep growing up. So maybe not doing as much as the videos and what I do with them doing on my own. But always doing the podcast to at least we're doing it during the hockey season and hopefully on each show always interviewing a guy because what you find is, you know, I want to get Bret hall on. I want to get Steve eisenman. I want to get Brandon Shanahan and the list of legends goes on. So you still have a lot of guys you want to have an add on. But also the ones where it's like, hey, man, I heard this guy who played in the ECHL for 15 years and he's an unreal storyteller and he's got like 5 iconic minor Hockey League stories. Those guys are the ones that end up flooring you the most. So yeah. There's white whales out there that we don't even know about who we haven't even gotten yet. We had a guy on the podcast Tim Stapleton whose buddies with whip and he's just a little skilled thing and oh man is he a funny bastard and he's got great delivery and it just so happens that at the end of his career he played in Russia in the KHL and the KHL has gotten better but at the time funny you had guys who own the teams who were coming down the locker room and with a machete or like an 8 K 47 done and pointed at players. You missed in Russian. You better wait to fuck up you'd go out there and fight somebody you fucking put like crazy billionaire corrupt owners and guys not getting paid for weeks on end guys taking out the cash or taking their cash home at the end of the year who was a goaltender and stuff their pads full of money to fly it over without having to pay taxes. So he ends up coming on our podcast and lets like 5 or 6 of these unbelievable KHL stories fly about him doing the Russian gas, like one of the drugs that they use to dope. And he goes, buddy, he goes, you feel like you have iron lungs and you feel, you feel the best you've ever felt in your life and no wonder these guys are doing all these vitamins and shit over here. And get me on the Olympic regimen. And then he told he told one about how they gave him they give you a place to live there and how when he was leaving on the road and he would come home. He thought he had a ghost in this place because furniture would always be moved a little bit. And then he came home earlier from a road trip and there was a family staying at his apartment when they were going on the road. So that's why his furniture was oh my God. Yeah, but he had to come home and he had to sleep on the couch one night with them there because he pulled his groin on the road and they flew him home early and this guy had no clue he just assumed like, you know, he's not paying attention to the team. He's just following their schedule when he can live there with his three kids and his wife. So those are the types of guys. So as far as interviews are concerned, I want to keep this podcast going as long as I'm doing anything. And even maybe when I'm done with it all, just to hop on once a week and shoot the breeze with all these funny characters, we maybe don't know anything about it. If it ever ended, you would miss it because you've built this thing into this into this big, big thing with the hockey community. What about I'll let you go after this one. If you could have on any non athlete, who would you want to who do you want to have on? Who would you what celebrity non athlete would you love to interview? I don't think he would I probably wouldn't say this one because I don't know if you would like how much he would divulge. I would love to interview Daniel Day-Lewis. Really, he's my favorite actor. Okay. But do you think he'd be a good guest? That's why that's what I'm concerned about. So that was the selfish answer from the podcast perspective. I would probably say Barack Obama really? Yeah, I just think he's a fascinating guy and how he was able to carry himself through how I couldn't even imagine the amount of stress and the weight of the world on his shoulders being the first black president, all of it, all of it. This is definitely the grown-up is. We've got grown up. Oh, yeah. Yeah, I think he's so cool. He just the way he carries himself. I think he's witty, and I would just, yeah, I would like to interview. I thought you might go for like a Leonardo DiCaprio or a no because I don't because I think when you're a movie star like that, you see him sometimes he has to do these tours when he a movie's coming out. He looks so disinterested. I think that he could give two fucks about that stuff. That's true. So I think that I think Barack Obama for an hour would be awesome. Now, I would have said Charles Barkley, but he has agreed where he is going to come on our show. So I am so excited for that one. He won't go on mine. He won't. I don't know. I've tried to get him to like four years. He's like, there's another guy though, he's getting asked and pulled in a minute. Yeah, I know. I actually cut cornered him at TNT and I had a knife out and I said you were coming on my podcast. And he said, all right. He probably liked that if you did it that way. So I'll let you into TNT with my badge and corner him with a knife and see if it works out for you. I'll do anything at this point. Give me a Stanley Cup prediction before I let you go. I got abs in 7. All right. If you had a gun to my head, though, and you said life or death, I would probably pick Tampa in 7. I just got an inkling. My heart's telling me abs and 7. I hope Nathan McKinnon wins his first cop. Does it does it hurt a little bit that TNT yet you and TNT are out of it now and it's all ESPN aired the Stanley Cup finals or you're like, you know what? I could use the break. I'm ready to veg out on my couch and no, I think everything happens for a reason. And I think that the emotional and the whole ride itself. I think it ended in a perfect time. And we hadn't really done that as a group together. So I think it's going to give us the perfect experience moving into next year to get it. And yeah, no, I'm happy that we got the time off. I still got to do chicklets though. Check out we still got a couple of weeks here left and bank and some interviews and going to NYC for a couple live streams, which I got one tonight, game one, baby. Be careful when you hear an NYC, if any of those ranger fans see you. I got full team security. Head on a swivel, head on a swivel. I'm wheeling around Mayweather's money team now. I got 7 security guards. Well, you walking down 6th avenue. I would be worried for you. All right. All right. And you're honorary coyote's fan. We're gonna get one coyote's tweet a month, which is not that much. Not as much at all. Right. And you're gonna lead the way if rangers win the cup next year, I'll allow rangers fans to egg me. I'll be there for that for sure. You can hand over the eggs. Maybe we'll do 5 bucks in eggs for charity or something. That sounds good. That I'm down with. Appreciate it. Good luck with everything you got going on. I appreciate you coming on. Barty, thank you for having me. And we touched on it earlier. I appreciate all the support throughout the years. You crush it and I love your stuff as well, man. You're a G and maybe more of the swimsuit stuff, but that's just me. Gotta be careful. There's all this. We got the old man. We had to get a little old biz, yeah. Yeah. Yeah, come on a little.

"This is why I love what he said. Because we are paying tortorella to make headlines and to give takes. And he's on ESPN and he's saying things that get us talking and get the league talking, get the world talking. He's a complete moron for what he said and he's completely wrong, but I don't want any situation where we ask for takes and comments and opinions on the league and then guys give them and everyone screams and yells how stupid he is, right? So I did send him an anvil and envelope with anthrax. So heads up in your mailbox ever talk about Macbeth like that again. But he's giving a take that he truly believes is correct. And here's the thing, who am I to say anything? Because John toro has a Stanley Cup. He knocked off the Tampa Bay lightning in Columbus a few years back. He's done some special things in the game. And he knows what it takes to win in the playoffs. But if you think that Connor McDavid has to change his game, you're the craziest son of a bitch that's ever walked the planet because this guy, like I've said before, is the greatest hockey player of all time. You want him to change his game? What are you talking about? Do you know people say Steve eisenman changed his game and they won standing up? Steve eisenman had Sergei fedorov Nick Litt strom Larry Murphy, all the Russians, Constantine off Larry on off, Brendan Shanahan. Dude, Connor McDavid is an absolute genius on the ice. We need every other player to try to do anything remotely close to what Connor McDavid does. We don't need Conor McDavid doing what some grinder does. Now, yes, in the playoffs, is it harder to score? 100%. But why would he change his game? Okay, in the end, does he need to do a little bit more defensively? I guess you could ask that of anyone, right? Of anyone. Like, yeah, you gotta be a little bit more responsibly defensively. Dude, you have the whole game. You create chances every time you're on the ice. You're the fastest skater with the puck. The game's ever seen. Nothing about Connor McDavid's game is causing the oilers to not win the Stanley Cup. There's nothing does nothing to do with him. And the argument is, wait, you don't know shit. You were a plug, you were brutal. You went to the cup finals. You sat on the bench pretty much the whole time. Towards his Stanley Cup champion, he knows what it takes. You want to quote towards me saying when he's selling the world on ESPN for McDavid to shut up, what would he be saying if he was coaching the oilers? Holy shit, call a fuck about the honor. He's got fucking tripped in hot dog game. So enough with the shut up Connor. Dude, I have been. I watch every oilers game, as you know. If you follow me on Twitter, there's three penalties a game on, they don't call. And so if he was head coach, he'd be discussed. So you can say shut up. I don't even think he winds that much. If you look at Crosby's beginning of his career, he wind more than McDavid has. I just don't. Social media wasn't as big. Everything wasn't going as viral and happening fast. Now, I agree with you a 100%. He has nowhere near the personnel. This is the first. Is this the first year where they have a legitimate contender? And they still haven't just some people's opinion having addressed goaltending, right? Well, 5 on 5 they're struggling, but they are a contender this year. They are no question. 100% contender for the first time I would say since he's been an oiler. So now we can start judging. Now, based on the penalty aspect, there's been a big conversation online because you know when playoff starts all of a sudden they start calling the game a little bit looser. And we all know that and that's a fact, right? You get away with a little bit more cross checks to hear cross checks are there. So everybody found it weird how many he would normally draw and then the drop off when playoff came. I don't think he drew one penalty during his 8 playoff games. Sorry, did they get swept by Winnipeg? They got swept. In the first round, right? Yep. So I don't think they called one penalty there and then in the games leading up to playoffs. And even to start the season a little bit. Now even as a fan you're starting to notice it. So everyone's noticing it. Right. So that's what makes me wonder. Maybe he is complaining that much and refs are so sick of it and it's like, you know, maybe it's behind the scene under his breath where like refs are noticeably not calling penalties on them. And maybe there's a whole sense of like, he's so good, we can't, we can't help him out even more. You know what I mean? Do you think this is towards looking into all those comments about that? Or he's like, man, come play off time. It's just harder. It's a little bit tougher out there. If he's gonna keep complaining and whining and they're gonna keep complaining and wine, it's not gonna help him in the long run. So he's saying kind of shut up and just like learn how to play through it. That's his. That's his opinion on it. Tort saying shut up, the way he said it so funny because the guy just knows how to like piss people off and he's he's so truly like, what's the word when you he's just so authentic torque? He doesn't give a fuck what one person thinks..

"Winning teams in tampa. I'd be very confident. Happy that he's the guy redoing it in detroit and maybe it's not this year and maybe it's not next year but at some point this is going to be a good team. Lucas raymond is a really high. Pick the highest. Pick detroit's ads and steve eisenman. Maybe that's wrong. But he's one of the highest picks. They've had thirty fucking years. And he's a stud from sweden who i don't know what the impact he'll make this year is put detroit won't make the playoffs. But they're on the right path. And i think if you're a wingspan. After all the success you had all you can ask for us to have a plan put in place and that is going on there. Stevie sticky you we is back is going to be a lot bigger and more mobile and contributed more offensively. This philip how do you say his last name roenick. It's on a or. I just say but i don't know yeah. Horon their team and led their team in points last year. It seems as though maybe he's going to be bumped back to that. That second unit of defensemen is you say second unit apparently second unit comparing he signed a pretty good deal three years at four and a half a year but they got to see some stuff from the young guys. Flip phillips edina. He was the guy that they drafted. I wanna say six overall. They got few guys six over on. You mentioned raymond as well. Not sure if he's going to start the season in the nhl but yeah they're gonna start seeing some some more stuff from the young guys. And i'm sure they're going to get a lot of reps year in a year where where they're not looking too good but they got the usuals as larkin vertucci and fabri and a few other guys in the mix but it just sucks because like they had a few other big guys on the back end that dan takaiser he had back surgery two thousand nineteen and he just hasn't been the same sense so i don't know guys. I know that he's going to help out a little bit and help both those younger guys but this is. This is definitely not a playoff team. Agreed agree as well. You know after you have a dynasty you need to pay the piper in the redmond's frankly it's still paying the piper. After all those great years. I know that last cup was what not to rub it in. Wit await thirteen years but they're still contend for a few years after that and then you've got to bottom out but hopefully get back soon there iraqi franchise and biz after spending a weekend in detroit downtown. At the old chilly. I can see why steve you might ask is about smoking grass all the time because place smelling cheech and chong's living room for the whole fucking week. We are out there. You can definitely find it easy in detroit for sure you've got anything there. That's what i heard. I don't can't confirm and by the way the cup odds one hundred fifty to one. I wrote them down to get them out there. One fifty to one so none of us think they're gonna make the playoffs g. You don't have to correct. I do not all right. Moving right along florida panthers pretty decent season last year. I know the only lasted one. Round in the playoffs they lost to the eventual champion. Tampa bay four games to two very entertaining series. But there's no reason team can't build on on what they built. Last year going into this year they said by offering keith. The endel goalie chris. Dj who got picked in the expansion draft the bringing in one in sam reinhart their cup odds a seventeen to one. This is a team. We've said it before they've been league. Christ a quarter century now and they can't really get traction. They got a lot last year in the playoffs. If they can have a great season this year they can maybe finally get something going on the east side of florida wet. What do you got for the panthers. I got i got a team that you gotta be really excited about that. I think's gonna compete to win this division now. A lot of that depends on goal tang. I don't really know how. This is gonna play out with spencer night and i understand that the ugly making ten million but at some point is he your backup. I don't really know what's going to go on there. But i just look at barkov and who radio and think reinhardt was an unreal. Move getting him there. I look at. I look at what sam bennett did. When he got over. Came over. From calgary and i think with joel quenneville and eck plaid coming back after getting injured in the middle of what was his best career best career season. I just think there's a lot of things that it'd be really excited about now. I don't know if in end they can win a stanley cup. But i also think that this is a time where you're actually very excited in terms of bruins fans this year this year being a season. You're kind of maybe a little wishy washy on. If you're a panthers fan the eleven of you you gotta be faulk and fired up for this year because they have never looked as good as they have going into a season. Then right now i mean you pretty much touched on it all going back to top five pairings in the league wieger act blab definitely up there do claire. He's finally found a home. He gets that three year extension. And and i couldn't agree more as far as those pickups bennett looked like a completely different player. When coming over from calgary point per game you know what you're getting from from barkov and as far as guys up front probably the most well-balanced forward lineup in this division or one of them. You got tronto. Who's a twenty goal score on the fourth line horn quist on the fourth line as well nola chari who. I loved him in boston. I know they couldn't keep him because a salary cap.

"To go to Sweden, and it gives me a chance to play and play a lot. I'd like to do it and I thought it was a great idea Form and he went there in the Swedish leads a pretty good league and he did very well. Um And again, probably did he I wasn't sure what my expectations for that league were, but he did well, and he's done well again here at the World championships, so we're encouraged. He's progressing well. He's a mature young man. Physically strong. He's still got a lot of things to work on. You know, he has never played against, uh, Nathan MacKinnon, her Kehlmann car or Nikita Creech air off for Brayden point or Tom Wilson or any of these guys yet, so that's a whole other step, and we'll see. You know, he'll get that opportunity likely next year, and we'll see how he does. Once again kindly joining us tonight. Here on 7 60 wjr, the Red Wings executive vice president and general manager, Steve I Zerman, Steve. It's funny. You know some of the guys that you mentioned. I mean, Nikita is a perfect example. Everybody wants to talk about. You know the top picks in the draft and you were besieged with that. You know where you make your bread? You find the guys like that at 58. Or you find some of those guys. You know, later in the draft that put that team together and One of the things that jumped out to me and I told during this 1000 times is the day that you had your press conference April 19th 2019. You didn't blow any smoke? You told people guys This is a process. It's going to take some time. But we want to get this franchise back to where we were accustomed to. And back where you guys were. Two years later. Ha. How's that? Progress Been Steve? By your estimation, Are you where you think you would be? How would you describe what it is two years into that rebuild? Well, um, you know, I didn't. I didn't put a lot into you know if you project your team at the start of the year where you think you know what your expectations are you work with your coach is, uh, you know, what are we trying to accomplish? What are our goals for the season? Two years into my 10 year, I guess as the general manager I look at what am I trying to do? I'm trying to, uh, you know, get as much young talent as we possibly can. That's and whether it's in, you know the form of draft picks or for the future or kids. We've already drafted, signing college free agents, whatever it is trying to get as much Young talent as we can been through what two drafts with the Red Wings. Now we've got a lot of picks in the upcoming draft. A lot of picks in the next draft. So, uh, I guess the plan is is trying to acquire as much young talents we can. I'm sticking to that. And, uh, we're looking to you to improve our team each year. Um, because I think it's important to for your young players. Whether it's Dylan Larkin or Phillips, Adina or possibly more insider next year. You want to surround them with Character veterans with with some players that helped them grow in developed at the NHL level. So where I'm not sure where I expected us to be in year two. It's not like I sit here and go. Okay. You know, last year I planned on having 40 points this year. I wanted to have us 50 points finished 7th 6th or whatnot. It's not as simple as that. I'm just Sticking to a process of trying to get as much young talent as we can run a good development program. Uh, all from from the From the moment they're drafted or signed through the the American Hockey League until they get to the NHL and and along the way, we hope we get some pleasant surprises and players. We didn't expect to be as good as they were, and that would expedite the process. So I guess, um I'm pleased with the season that we had. I see progress and a lot of our younger players. Um, you know, I expect I expect us to continue to get better our young players to continue to get better in in the add to the prospects that are in our system. Hey, Stevie. Uh, one last thing, which is everybody out there when I say it took me a long time to take my own advice, But if I listen to Steve Eisenman, usually good things happen. And if your fans you listen to what Stevie just said he's going to map it out together. Now I want to take you back because Don't know. How do other than to ask this question. It didn't. It's not for me it from somebody in this room, but it goes back to your goal in 95 against John Casey and the and the, uh, 95 96 97 6. Yeah, OK, 96. Yeah, So it goes back. You want to tell it, Eric, I'll ask this question. You can Please treat at this response because I figured if your answer cons going to ask him some questions here. Feel free to take this one. Right? Here you go. Yeah, go ahead. Uh, so I have afraid when I told friends you were coming on, ask for some questions, and one of them's a hockey fan. But after running this question by Darren, we're going to test his credentials. He would like to know if the slapper in 96 from the blue line against the Blues was just a puck deep for a chance to change. But where you actually aiming at the corner? The only thing I was trying to do with Murray Baron was a defenseman right in front of me was trying to shoot it by his ankle, not hit him in the feet. That's all I was trying to do, Um From that far out, like like I'm just trying to get pucks. Shoot! Get the pucks on the net. Shoot it at the net. We're in overtime. Was that double overtime at that point, you know, they don't call a lot of penalties. It was hot. We're all tired. Your shifts were short, so I was. I was thinking anytime I got the puck, just shoot it. And like I said, at that point, the only thing I was trying to do is get it. By Murray Baron seat. Well, there wasn't as dumb as I thought. But there's it's Steve Eisman is that he was thinking right there Barring in for the dramatics because I always wanted to get tackled by Bobby, Are you like you get back in Peterborough? Anyway, Let's be honest, Mac. Like we show a lot of pucks together. I couldn't pick the corner from that far out. I'm surprised that even got that far. My shotting. Good silk. Listen, they they know you're the worst. Everybody knows you're the worst practice player in the history of the world because of me, Robot ties Number two, and I'm number three, but it's a great list. I follow you anywhere, buddy. And I appreciate you, Uh, Coming on, and, uh, indulging us in great luck, and I love what you said, because this is a true thing that came out of your mouth. If it works out, it's yours. If not japes is in trouble. So there you go. Somebody else's fault. Nothing's changed. Not this change. Good luck. Hope to see you soon. Thank you guys. Have a great night. You bet. There he is. "In the first round. Okay because once the team makes it through the first round who maybe weren't supposed to everyone goes. Okay now we gotta watch right now. We gotta watch. They've come up with something here. So you know like i say if i if i'm toronto shut up these people. And that's russ cardinal the other day and rusty of course played withdraw on a good team in toronto in dallas in montreal. Any of those teams are us over the years. You know if if it was a different city do you think they would have had a chance or are done better. If they didn't play in toronto and i thought that's dumb question because the answer will be yes automatically right because everyone talks about playing and he said no no. You know it's it's it's i don't know bad luck that they've had or they they just can't do it but he said i'm here to tell you personally. It's awfully tough to win the stanley cup. Because i haven't won it so it is. It is hard to win. But like i say there's always upsets we'll have to see. Yup you never know what you're gonna get the stanley cup playoffs. Just changing gears here. James and if you think about the off-season there's always some coaching changes. And boy. I felt pretty confident. The detroit was going to do something. Steve is a fairly recent arrived in detroit as their gm. Most general managers want to bring in their own guys a head coach and jeff blache was not his guy. Blasio's been in detroit for six years. You took over after. Mike babcock left and then for the last five years the wings have missed the playoffs and so i really thought that is was going to go look in a new direction. But he didn't and that was somewhat of a surprise. Yeah so. I don't know what to what to say about that. Steve eisman right. How how he did in tampa right. That's where it came from. Looker tapped now right. He's still got his fingerprints all over that team. They're up to nothing in that series and who surprised if repeated watch. I watched that game. Last night's sleep before. Watch this brayden point man okay. Holy man is that good hilly man it's good me to get out of my shell here of just watching anyways. I was probably speaking of resigning. I know there's some stories you want to talk about a book coaches who are in the in the fold now again for Seattle and other teams right. Who are looking for coaches. But but he was he was always the guy you know as one of the gm's right Who knew it is doing but as an outsider. I just looked at the numbers and the situation. I said well that looks like a textbook. Firing becoming up there. But i certainly trust that steve eisenman knows what he's doing. I certainly have heard great things. About jeff flash is being a great communicator and a really good coach and It's one of those deals. Where well between team canada and tampa bay. What steve thinks matters a whole hell of a lot and if he thinks jeff flashes should stay well and so. Do i have to be on right. Right right inset. Meanwhile other coaching news. Rick target who just got fired or left on mutual circumstances from the arizona. Coyotes looks like he's in the potentially with the new york rangers and with the seattle cracking. I love her pocket. You know i really do..

"New York conversation. You let me take you on CBC Radio one across Canada and across North America on Sirius, XM 1 69 and from P R X. My name is Tom Power. Welcome back to the show Damp. Eaton's has held a lot of jobs in his lifetime. He's been a physiotherapist, a college professor, a Web developer. None have made them happier than the job he's doing right now. Dan is a pencil artist. He spends hours sketching portrait and his drawings are so lifelike you'd be Mr Be forgiven if you think there are photographs. I know when I looked at one of them. I thought it was a photograph. Lately, he's beginning in a lot of recognition for his portrait of NHL hockey players. He's drawn comic David Matt Sundeen my favorite Patrick Wall. The NHL has started sharing his work, and he's been commissioned by some of the players in the league. Very impressive, considering he decided to draw full time on Lee recently damp Eaton's joins us Now live from London, Ontario. How are you? Welcome to the show. Take Tom. Yeah, I'm so excited to be here. Thanks for having me. Well, it's a pleasure to have you. This all must be a bit surreal way it is. I was chatting with one of my former teachers from elementary school, actually, amongst all the other connections that I've made for my art again, and It almost feels like I'm watching somebody else living the life. You know, it feels like it's happening to somebody else, and I'm just sort of watching, but it's starting to hit home. You know, with each passing week that goes Let's talk a little bit about some of the work and then we'll talk about how you got to the work, so just to give people an idea of what we're talking about here, I'm looking at one of your drawings right now, which is of Steve Eisenman. You know, legendary hockey player for the Red Wings. Lips are pursed. He's staring off into the distance. Tell me what's happening in this drawing. Yeah, And so it's what you do is saying you're a Patrick Walker and I don't want your Colorado fan, but it's Steve is, um and I have a huge respect for he's such amazing leader and an amazing talent. And when I saw this photo of the pretty iconic photo It struck me right away because he is staring off at something. He's staring from the bench. He has sweat dripping down the side of his face. He has a cut on his nose, which which is now just starting to trickle blood. And it seems so None of that bothers him. He's not aware of any of that. All that he's aware of is the play that's unfolding in front of them and what he's going to do when he gets the chance to get back out there, So he has this intense stare. In his eyes, and that's what I try to do when I can. When I choose all the different art pieces that I do is capture the intensity capture the emotion, So I feel like I did do that, in this case he's wearing is All white jerseys, wearing his white helmet with the faded Detroit Red Wings logo at the top. The actual photo itself and how I drew it. Puts focus in the foreground specifically around the face, and as it drifts off into the background, it comes out of focus. So you could see from the chin strap below his chin starts in focus, faith, the other focus as it goes towards this far shoulder. I want to be clear here. I know that people can't see anyone posted a link on our website, CBC dot ta slash Q. But I'm looking at it right now. It really does. It's an unbelievably life like and it's just done with pencil. How long does it take you? That specific one took 18.5 hours. The highest one I've ever done is 32 hours. You know, most goalies will take quite a bit of time. But the highest is 32. What do you start? Always with the eyes, always with the eyes because I feel like it. If you don't get the eyes just right. The rest of the pitcher can look pretty good and resemble some lightness to the athletes or whatever subject it is that you're drawing. If you don't get the eyes right, you'll lose the soul of what you're capturing on. But it doesn't have that same strike so half the time well, less than half the time Now I am getting fatter. But I will start with the eyes. I'll show it to a few key people. I'll analyze it for a while. And if it doesn't look right to me, I just scrap it and start over. So always with the ice, So I'm looking at another one of your drawings here, and this is not a hockey player. This is a character from a favorite show of a lot of people mind. You included the office, the American version of the office. Tell me who I'm looking at and tell me why this is important in your story. There. You are looking at the actor Steve Carell acting as Michael Scott, acting as prison, Mike pretty iconic moment from the show. But I did want to draw him specifically because I am such a huge fan of the show. So When I was going through a hard time. You know, I've had many different careers as you were mentioning many different jobs, and it's always been difficulty for me toe see them through because I do go through quite a bit of anxiety, especially related to work and social interactions. But as time went on, I was starting to get more and more desperate. Starting to think you know what? Well, I'm a failure I can't provide for my family. I don't know if we'll ever be able to hold down a job. Despite my best efforts. I've always been good at them. But this came at a time where I was desperate..

His name is Rob Gronkowski Grok Gronk has had a little experience with Super Bowl trophies. What? Hang on. What's that? I said a name. I know they're you know. Hey, Ming Ming Ming Ming Gronkowski evidently has dented Maura than a few of the Super Bowl trophies. You know, I don't know if he's head butting them or if he's just rough with him or what the problem is, But like I said, so far They have not allowed him to handle this particular one. He was kind of funny because you know, there's a history of rough trophy handling and certain sports. The Stanley Cup comes to mind in the world of hockey. One of the most interesting things I ever saw. In my days in the 19 nineties is the public address announcer for the Detroit Tigers was former Redwing Steve Eisenman after the Red Wings had won the Stanley Cup. Every team member gets to have the cup. To do with as they will for a certain period of time, Usually for two or three days, Steve Eisenman was throwing out the first pitch. Of the Tigers game. He had the Stanley Cup in the trunk of his car. Rolling around in the back of the trunk of his car back, Bang, bang, Bang bang! Well, it's a rough sport. It's pull it pull it into the parking lot. It is all of this tale lick up out of the drug of his car. I guess that thing has been done to so many times out of a hockey attitude. It is. It is. That thing has been done it so many times. I think they have their own body shop for trying to straighten that thing out because everybody messes it up. 5 40 time for traffic.

"At it and break it down executives and coaches how they did when they actually played has very little do with how they are, as general managers are owners, In fact, the best coaches and best general managers. Yeah, they played the game, but you know what? They usually weren't stars. It was mostly the guy at the end of the bench was the guy that had the work their tail off and you know what was in the meeting rooms and was helped Hang out the stars those air normally the guys that end up you know, being the stars. And the thing about magic is magic was able they Lakers hired magic for one reason to bring superstars to L. A. And he delivered him LeBron James. It didn't matter if Magic Johnson was the president, the owner of the coach of the Detroit Pistons. And the Pistons had all the money in the world and sent over a contract of LeBron James and I said No, thanks and moved on. So you know magic was good for one place and look at magic it Magic doesn't want to be a general manager Magic not He's no good at it. He's going to deliver in a superstar. And he delivered him. That's it. I disagree with that. You know, Magic doesn't help pick more players than just LeBron James Bro. Magic Johnson helped. Later he said he laid out the scheme of things he brought in Rondo. He helped a D get there. So LeBron you Magic Johnson is far more just he's He's a He's a blank. This is the man is a businessman. Have anything to do with a D? He didn't have anything to do with that agent. That was your boy Pelinka that pulled the trigger on that one. Look that up. All right, receding. We'll talk about that more in the weeks ahead. I'm sure Let's go right back to the phones. Doug and Impsa. Lanny, you're on the end zone. How you guys doing today? Get it. So you know, yesterday I wanted to call in on the topic of the running back saying in the chardonnay leaving and I couldn't get in quick enough. I don't know if anybody's touched on this. Why? Why did We feel that the need to bring Chris Evans back Or what he gave us. You know, anybody that wears that uniform? J b. You know, I love them, but We didn't move forward in that position last year, and now we've lost. Soft more off of our roster, and Chris Evans wasn't really that kind of guy to bring back. I just didn't understand all that. So I didn't know you guys touched on that a little bit yesterday or what? So Well, I will. The Chris Evans story was a good story. I mean, it was probably because he got he got disqualified from school because of something who knows what but hey, fought hard to come back, he stayed in the area found found found the job stayed in this area. Earned his scholarship back through all the things that he had to go through it. Zagreb eight. It's a great story, and it's a great example to these two the to those young players to see. Ah, young man, lose everything and then win it all back. I understand that completely and I can't disagree with that. But when you when you when you correlated through the The production on the field and in the carries and things I didn't know why it you know it carried out like that. I didn't need to know. Where do you think they're doing it? Look, I didn't either. Like what? You what you normally do is you Let guys compete. And then you have the pecking order where you're giving the ball going to carry the one guy. You have a change of pace guy. You might have a third down back guy. But as is we've been going over over and over again. Michigan tried to do something that no other coaches or no other team tried to do in a completely backfired on him, and he kept doing it. So I mean, it was, you know, that's like people wanna throw out last year. And, you know, this is what Jim does Good. And you know, these are the offensive coordinators, but they did something and then stubbornly stayed with it. And That doesn't that doesn't exude great confidence, you know? And Jim Harbaugh's ability here moving forward to me, right? I agree. I agree. Hey, real quick. I know you got short on time. You may have another caller. I enjoy listen of the receipt E. And I'm not going to get on his on his bad list. I'll tell you that because I don't want to get called up. But Matt Millen was pretty high, pretty high name toe to bring in and that didn't work out so well. So I agree with you, Dennis. We just don't get those names and they don't project from great starting players to good front office. Things they just don't work out is easy. If he he might be simply Oh, Yeah. You know what I get the point like you superstar and known quantity and people get excited about that. But ah, lot of what the general manager's doing like, You know what Steve Eisenman came, and there's no bigger name in the Detroit Red Wings history of the Steve Eisenmann. Steve Eisman. When he was done with this play career, he was sitting up there, you know, next to the Media and Joe Louis Arena, and he was flying back and forth of Russia he put in the time. No, you got to do all that. It's not just about the glamour in your name. So, Yeah, thank you guys. For the time. I really appreciate it. Appreciate your time done..

"Mac? You know what I think the most important thing is, you have to be cognizant and self aware. What you are and where you are. This looks every bit like a rebuilt every single bit like a rebuild their There isn't anything on the offensive side of the ball that right now you could look at and I always use this analogy. You're sitting in the You're sitting in the offensive room, getting ready for a game against the Detroit Lions. And you're looking over the film, and there's nobody on that defense that you're looking at on the other side of the bomb going well, we got to stay away from that guy. We got to stay away from that guy. Now. That's not to say that guys can't grow into that. That's not to say that. You know you don't have a couple quarterbacks. That might be better. I mean, just by nature of the business in that position. For young players. It's a very difficult position or Cora. You know, that might be another guy that down the line, but right now there's nobody. And I mean nobody on the defensive side of the ball that you look at you go complete stud. We got to stay away from them. They don't have a linebacking corps right now. As far as I'm concerned, they really don't mean it. I like Jared Davis. I He works his tail off and you know, every year he comes to camp in it. It's It's like there's no possible way he could get less body fat. He comes back every year. Less body fat. It hasn't worked here, you know, and that those are the things that I'm looking at. So in my opinion, Mac is much as I I Like Ken Holland is a person. I felt that that was his biggest mistake his last few years here, not recognizing that it was time to turn the page. And it was time to do what Steve Eisenman eventually did. You have to be aware of what you are and move forward from there. And I really think that this this franchise is a whole has to look at this and go. Okay, look. We got a serious build out of us right now, So I think that's exactly where it's at. Erik and Erik and Brandon. You guys obviously sit in that room and through all different things. I'm interested in hearing what you're you're too perspective. Eric. Start with you. What is your Perspective of what's going on down and Alan Park, a Z. I was sitting here. Listening question did pop into my mind and Darren? You and I kind of touched on this earlier today when we talked, But, Shawn, I'd be interested to know what you think. You. You mentioned that we're staring down the barrel of Ah, rebuilt. No matter what you say, ah, little more comforting to you that this GM has been a part of a team that did the same thing, But they did it through the draft, and that's how the lions are more than likely gonna have to do it. We're not gonna likely win the free agent battle anytime soon Down the road we might, but for a little while, we need a guy who's not only looking at that first round talent. But he's finding guys to contribute on the field in that 2nd 3rd 4th round kind of area. No, I like that. I think that's good logic, and that's the biggest question And this goes back to Mac. Something that you said does Matthew Stafford have the stomach for that? You know, I mean, because you're you're hearing your hair and mix things, you know, Barry Sanders said a couple days ago. No Matthew's gonna be here and everything. I the first thing that I would say is Matthew. I know it hasn't been easy for you here. But guess what. The next couple years they're gonna be rough. You know, there's a lot of heavy lifting that we have to do. There are pieces on the offensive. The ball, especially and important positions that I like. I like two of the pieces a lot on that offensive line right now. And and Mac you mentioned They're a couple more pieces that might turn into something else, but it's the defensive side of the ball. You just don't have a lot there right now. You might have something there. If we have this conversation a year from now, maybe we're saying Hey, while both these young cornerbacks really turned it on and look at, you know the chorus and you know they, but right now, you don't have that stuff. And so you have to go about rebuilding that and replenishing the cupboards in that regard..

"Know, Daryn, it's the same thing. You and I have talked about this for a year, and I hope people it's going to take time. This is part of a plan. You know, I think if you're one of those people, you're expecting everything to come together this year. I'm going to tell you the same thing that I told you, you're go. You're out of your mind. It's it's going to take time. If you can't see what they're building up to. I don't know what to tell you. They're gonna have so much wiggle room. They're going to be able to, you know, avoid losing some players to Seattle. It's going to take time. He's going to build this the right way. Um, you know what can you say? Carol Carolina's a darn good team on and they played like a darn good team. So You know? Are the red Wings gonna be better than last year? Yeah, they will be I You know how much better I don't? I don't know it. Quite frankly, I'm still hoping that they get another high draft choice that that that they can play with two or three years from now, But this is part of a plan and the plan is going to take time during this was long overdue for this franchise. It was and I know Um, you know, people aren't used to seeing this, but I go back to the day that Steve I Zimmerman's hired, you know, and he told everybody Look, it's going to take some time. But we're going to do this the right way, and they're on their way, man. They are, but it's not gonna happen this year. I think each and every one of us know that I want to see some battle. I want to see some fight. I want to see some great I want to see some guy said are basically making Steve Eisenman say This is a guy that I want here when we're back to that era that everybody grew accustomed to in into the nineties and and beyond. So those are the kind of stuff that I'm looking for this year..

"Magliolo, right. It started with Maglia than Coco Crisp lays out in Oakland. Really good close games. Yeah. What was the closer? It was a grant. Belfour was the closer on Oakland and then him and Victor Martinez had a rivalry that it was so that right? What was rich because Verlander every year would go to Oakland for a game one dominate, going nine innings. 10 strikeout, the tires would win. Then Oakland would climb back into things. And then we'd have to force related to pitch in three days rest and he go like eight and two thirds the Verde would covet and shut the door and go nuts. That those were the best. Those were the glory days for Tigers baseball for our lifetime. The rivalry with the age of the Tigers every year in the LDS was amazing. It was amazing. Is both teams were so legit because either one of those whoever won that Syria's had basically was the favorite to win the L Because these were loaded that year for four years in a row, the eggs were loaded. Well, I just hope that the way the A's were at that point are what I hope the Tigers are in the next couple years because they just they Had a bunch of prospects that just handed just happen. Toe workout like Donaldson, Sonny Gray sent him down. They sent Donaldson down like two or three times that year. He was the M V P like two or three years ago, and that's all like that just goes to show. Sometimes you just can't quit on a guy and sometimes you just He just needs the right time to do it. But it was just funny that you you talked about grand ball for Because I always remember whenever he would give up. Ah, walk is like you have the most unfortunate name in all of baseball because your last name is about four and they would call him Grant ball for when you said Yeah, I said, I thought it was bell for Belle. For whatever reason, Ball four and I was like, Is that a pun it That was amazing. I never even thought about it that way. Grant ball for hilarious. His mean, You think about that team with the A's and Sonny Gray was a guy that came up their organization as well. And Geo Gonzalez. I think for a little bit for a little bit down there. Yeah, I went to Washington. Yeah, There's a lot of big badge, too, was a shame. Moss. Was that his name out there? The first baseman Brandon Moss. That's right. Brandon Moss. They had Reddick out there, Coco Crisp. There's a lot of talent. Don't forget Eric Sogard. Yes, with the big glasses. The Tigers were kind of, you know the same way, but they would spend a lot more money than the A's would. Of course, we all know that David Brown skinned. No problem pulling trigger on any guy that had, you know a lot of zeros behind his name. Exactly, And that's why I think that's what Detroit's lacking right now because they don't have their not to that point yet. When they get to that point. I think that somebody who are the Al Avila will be, uh, not hesitant on spending money. I think Troy Weaver will see he's not gonna hasn't another spending money and we'll see what Steve Eisenman does here. And whoever the new the new GM for the lines will be. Hopefully it's Louis Riddick. I want to see the lions and spent some real money and get some real talent and I want to see the Tigers get back to that point. Those were the glory days when the tight when the Tigers of the match of the A's in the LDS and lots of talent on both sides All of the diamond was amazing. We'll get back to that point, though, for sure. 809 23 93 85. We're talking a lot of Detroit sports right now. Worst to best. Out of the four proteins here. We're ranking those guys in order, and we're also talking Matthew Stafford right now and what to do with them right now. I'm saying trade the guy heartbeat snap decision trade him. "Christmas, which is hard to believe. Time is flying Murrow's Halloween. You said it for the first time by yourself, and you killed it, And that's when Michigan State murdered Michigan and I called in and said It's a joke too far about you, Barbara. We're gonna get into Michigan football as the season goes on, and as the year progresses here and what to do, I know that Ward man, you'll be sitting down with him and discussing logistics and what to do with the organization and the program here. Horrible. I made it clear to the media that he wants to stick around, though kind of interesting. Would you be opposed to Jim Harbaugh taking off and heading somewhere else? Or would you want to keep him around for? Let's say three or four more years, 800 9 to 3 93 85 is our phone number 809 23 93 85. We got a fun topic here right now, let's rank from worst to best the pro sports teams in our city. But four of them Jesus gonna be hard. This is tough, because if you think about it all the organizations are kind of the same spot me. The Lions are trying to win, but they just can't win because we're alliance. The Pistons are in a rebuild mode. The Red Wings are kind of trying to break out of a rebuild mode of the Tigers were the same thing is the Red Wings. Young guys are there now. Can they start spending the money? We'll see. 809 23 93 85 from worst to best arse. Detroit Sports teams in order Ryan, one of the first body. Yeah, let's start with so the worst team I have right now. Would be the Detroit Red Wings. Um You know, Iceman came in here. He's trying to turn the whole organization around. But right now, as far as talent goes, they did get some draft picks. I know Lucas Raymond is being highly thought of as like a potential, you know, playmaker for this organization, but they are all young. And you know, before Iseman Management really had a hard time of, you know, putting the old guy's t O rest, so to speak, like they just wanted them to stick around. And it wasn't doing the organization any good, really, You know, so I have them and they finished in last place in the NHL. I believe last season and then they were Um, top three worst teams this season before that, So I have the Red Wings as the worst team in Detroit. Up next I have the lions just because of their history. Yeah, Um, and we don't know who the next head coach is gonna be. It's all up in the air. And then I have the Tigers because they have a lot of young talent and a J. Hinch right. So if we look at some of their playmakers, some of their infielders Out feelers. They have Victor Reyes. They have Candelario and then they have Miguel Cabrera, who is you know, he's he's aging. He was a great player for the city, but he's He's a teacher and right now, and who knows if the pitching staff turns it around, They have a lot of young pitchers. I think this team has great potential. And then the best team in Detroit. I think has to be the Pistons right now, just because of what they're trying to do. They have good leadership. They have a great coach already. And Dwayne Casey that we know You know, He's a great coach coming into it coming into the season, and they have a lot of young talent and You know when I think when I think of this best to worst category, I say Who's going to make the playoffs first? Out of these four teams, and I think the Pistons have the best chance to sneak in. Yeah, okay. I think they have the best chance to sneak in. Then the Tigers, you know, it's gonna probably take 2 to 3 years. Hopefully, but lines haven't You know they haven't won a playoff game and so many years 27 years 1992 and the Red Wings are have been the worst team that Michelle for last 34 seasons. So that's why I have the Pistons on top. Just looking at the playoff, you know the future. Of who will get to the playoffs first and the Pistons? Well, I'm looking at this the same way. Um, I do agree that the Pistons Have a chance to make the playoffs first because of the NBA style. Exactly Top eight teams make it the MLB is is look tougher to make because you got with your division or you go somehow make a wild card game. And ah, from worst to best the Red Wings air in my opinion, the worst in here in Detroit because of the situation that they're in, and I think that that won't last long and the Red Wings will surpass every team here. Either this year or in the next three or four years. Devise man knows what he's doing. He knows the lead an organization. They're getting their star to get rid of the older guys and bring in Steve Eisenman, his guys and the young temp they have here. They started to flourish, so I think the Red Wings Are there the bottom on Lee for the rest of, uh, maybe 2021? I think that I think that will make a leap here in 2022. Next I am going to go with the Pistons. I know this is a tough because the Pistons are doing something that the other teams aren't really doing. That's a sense of direction. They completely strapped things over. I don't think that any other team here wanted to do that. But the Pistons did it. They completely scrap things over, but well, it's a waiting game. It's a wait and see game with the with the Pistons because of Josh Jackson pans out. Amazing. Sacred Mboya turns out to be the next Greek freak, then even even better. French freak. Yeah, right. The French freak and then kill Ian Hayes. French freak to point out way. Just have to see about this young Taylor. But for right now I think it goes the Red Wings and then the Pistons. Then lions. OK, so tires air up there. I think the Tigers right now are the best team in Detroit because not one yet the most talent, I think the most fun to watch. Because every day uh what? Just throw it back here in 2000 and 13, 2014 and 12 2020 14 every time the Pistons are the Tigers played They had a starting pitcher that was a top 10 guy in the league writes. That was fun to watch You had Justin Verlander makes Sures or David Price, Rick Porcello on Abel Sanchez. All five of those guys. Four of them have a Cy Young Award. An animal Sanchez as the ER a chip on his shoulder there, so there was always fun to watch. Now, these young guys have a chance to turn five young guys that they have right now in this something Along those lines..
