"Many many. I mean, the you realized, right that you're you and Beato and Jason have a sign An advertisement on the side of the Austin stars. The the ice really, Yes. Another front center on like they say, the 50 yard line and football But at the center of the rink we need we need to go. We need to go Tonto that sometimes Hey, the Texas Longhorn baseball team playing it USC you dish Parkfield, currently the leading West Virginia, But TCU is also leading Kansas State number two in the land. By the way he touches Longhorns. Longhorns may teach you to lose and Texas to win to get a tie for the Big 12 regular season title that looks like Texas may fall short, but not to worry. They got the big 12 tournament, Syrian thin the regionals and the super regionals and then ultimately Omaha. And if you're right, then this team is really, really good. That's right recent here James Laughlin, former coach of the Golden State Warriors, now with the Nigerian national team, going to the Olympics next year. James this year. They're going this year is 2021 r, ready in two months? Yeah, Good Lord 30 2021. Yeah. James, your former team. The Golden State Warriors just had a devastating loss in the play in game. This new format. The MBA has What your initial thoughts on this year's MBA structure on the playoffs. Who? Your favorite It's a weird year. So where do you it's a very strange here. I don't know what you thought about the season so far, sir. Rank seven. Yeah, There's no reason to think they're not as strong and capable as they were last year, So I think it's the first year you can look at the seeding and kind of throw that out, and it's like a bar fight. Who's gonna throw the first punch? Dallas did it today in L A. You know, Scottie pointed out before there's not as many fans so the home crowd, not really in it, So it's gonna be an interesting year to see how it plays out, could they? East. Make some noise. Look at what can they? Well, they are because I love Milwaukee. I think I think Miami's good. Of course. The £800 gorilla is the Brooklyn Nets. How good are the Nets? With all that talent, people of are checking the boxing. They're going to be in the NBA Finals. Yeah, I wish we knew. I wish we had seen them this regular season play together. Obviously hard and on as they all play together at one point the right on No. Casey. Yeah, you know, Kyrie and Katie have a little bit of report from playing here on this project. They all know each other from a U point together along the years is a Z kids, but it's gonna be a really interesting year. We have a play to get DeAndre, Jordan Blake Griffin. Fiery KD and James Harden. They ever been in the court of the same time this year. I think only a couple times. Yeah, it's not. It's not a big sample of games. And so tonight, we're fully healthy. So good to see what it looks like against Boston and seven. Boston has been a big disappointment this year and their best players out, I guess for the year who do you think's gonna emerge from the East? Will it be Brooklyn? Will it mean my Emma will it be? The Greek freak in Milwaukee. Yeah, and then you've got Philly, right? No, I forgot about John. Here's Bill. Yeah. Quivers done a great job. I got to pick Brooklyn. With Katie. I've seen what that guy can do that Golden State. No, he's a chance so he knows what it takes. He's got that instinct. But we do have to see what it looks like. And they need to find some mo mentum. You know, early together, I would say most teams want to sweep and rest. But this is one team that Probably wouldn't mind a five or six games seriously. They could find a little bit of rhythm together. JP got some. You know, a zoo coach. I've got a question about the MBA and about coaching. And you know, I've been what we've been watching the MBA for decades now, But these days I gotta believe coaching. Really Any sport is different. You know, works were coaching a different type of kids. Call them kids. Whatever. Young adult What do you think? These days? As opposed to? Maybe 30 years ago with Pat Riley's and, you know, I mean, even Popovich, throw him in there. Absolutely. What is it? What is What is a coach needed do well today. Do you think to be successful in the India had the gift to be good with people. I think you have to be really good and be able to relate to these young men. These kids like you said. They don't want to be coach like Pat Riley, coach athlete expect in the nineties. It's a different age, so you gotta be able to relate to people. You gotta be able to relate to your staff and just keep everyone in the same room and make sure no one leaves the reservation mentally, spiritually. Keep everyone intact. Think that's what makes Popovich and guys like Steve Curve special is they can connect with guys relate to them in that way and keep everyone on the same page. So you think Popovich still is able to it a adapt and adjust to be what he needs to be to coach a championship team, or do you feel like you know what Maybe maybe coaching is something different? I think he's adapted pretty well. You know, his messaging to the media is very current. I think it relates to today's players so well respected, so respected, right. I mean, the Olympian, the only coaches let's say head coach. I mean, I do think the Spurs and the Miami he or the two exceptions to the rule where they have that culture, that bubble of culture where when you come in, you know what you're signing up for. We're gonna do things the Spurs way for the Miami Heat. Maybe Miami Heat. There is a fitness test every Monday morning. No matter what way of the year it is, and you better pass it. And that's that's how you get paid every week. What is on set hidden foot in what? I pass it? I don't know. You know, Andre, you good dollar played with how many beers to drink in one sitting. How many pizzas city once it is, guys fail. And when you fail you come back Tuesday morning and you do it and you keep doing it until you pass. What do you do? What do you do? J. Secondly, a street signs. And I don't know it's fully about Audrey with dollar was with us. You texted me when he got to Miami, he said. This is no joke, and he's probably finished human being I've ever met. And he's telling me it's hard so I could only imagine being how hard it would be for you and me. You know what kind of weekend they had exactly changed. Keeps their party and check is what it is. What kind of question in a thought. So I was thinking about this today and today's day where you have all these super teams, you know, and players form together getting you know 45 stars together in one location..

"But but a bomb bomb but about about about a bomb but were emanating from New Orleans and we go to Michelle to foil on the sidelines. Michelle, what do you got to tell us this week between the Packers And the Saints. Oh, my God. So you actually you have good information. Here's sec, Gilb. Yep, yet, Zack killed show CBS Sports Radio. We've been telling you all about my good friends and all you need to know with my good friends of Beck you Oh, so trace. I think you need some help in the bedding department. Correctamundo, right? A little help. I need a lot of help here. Sobek QL sent it to be a bunch of temps. They do a great job, So they ranking the way that they do this. It's a scale of one star 25 star and the five star bets of the great value bets. So coming up tomorrow night. You have the Lakers going up against the Sixers. Now the Sixers And beat out, but the Sixers have been winning. LeBron James, out, along with Anthony Davis Lakers have been losing This line right now in this game. Sixers minus 4.5. Now, if you were betting, let me just ask you this. You're betting Sixers and Lakers coming up tomorrow night. And this game is in L. A It's gonna be a 10 P.m. Eastern tip is gonna be. I think it's on TNT. How would you bet that game? Would you go with the Sixers minus 4.5 of you? Plus the 4.5 points with the Los Angeles Lakers. What do you know? I think I would take the Sixers on the road. So you take the Sixers minus 4.5? Yes. Now we go to my friends that Beck you okay? What is back? You? L say they call this Five star Bette. QL projects the Lakers to lose by two points, one. Oh 7 to 1 of five. The Beck you'll model has hit 56.8%. Five star NBA bets. All time. MBA spread bets all time. So That's what they give you a little vice or They're giving you a five star Bette. Plus 4.5. On the Lakers. I'm kind of with you personally, I would have gone with the Sixers minus 4.5. But that's why Betting does occur. That's why I listen to the experts because you know what they disagree with me. They know best and it's a good thing. They disagree, because obviously more times than not. I am very much in the wrong so thank you all knows. I'll give you one more piece of information here that back you, l says. And Let me ask you this. Because you rather hear from Arkansas or Roberts. Or would you rather hear from Baylor? Villanova? What do you think? Is the game? You rather hear a little betting advice from? Let's do all Roberts Kevin and batter just on the show? Let's hear what back you ever think about them in Arkansas? It's better that we, uh This one. Kevin Left the show compared to be Oh, Right now. They have it as a four star Bette. Arkansas minus 11.5 back. You always projecting Arkansas to win by 14 points and is giving the Razorbacks and 87.8% chance to win the game out right under Eric Musselman. Here's a little piece of information. Arkansas has gone 11 and two against the spread. When the total is in the 1 50 is the total is at 1 59 right now on the over under Back. You elicit 73.6% of Arkansas Moneyline bets all time. The razor Baxter minus 6 50. Are the best bet and still have value per Becky Wells model, which list them Minus 721. So there you go on that already. Let me spend a few moments here on Kevin Durant and Kawai Leonard. So Kevin Durant. It's a little bizarre to me how long he's been out for. I would have thought he would have been back by now. But he's not. Wanna players out. They don't really make news other than this player is expected to come back at this day. This player is expected to return here he started practicing. Got a few shots up, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. Kevin Durant has been making a lot of news this week, going back to that whole thing that Steve Curve flipped out about which I don't get what he foot that about him. Why he was in order to Schiller. You said what you said. There was Relationship that was fractured in the final year, and it was Kevin Durant's final year there. So I don't really see how that was Clickbait and I've been called Clickbait before, even though I'm not Clickbait, but I usually know when things they're Clickbait or not. I thought that was Steve Kerr get a little bit annoyed. That he was on a podcast, probably having fun and then because he's Steve Kerr. Something blows up. It becomes a big deal. How else should people take that? You literally said you enjoy the season when you guys had 15 wins more than when you guys lost. In the NBA finals. And we all know what the inner problems were of that team. The Inter fighting, it was the dynamic or the lack of dynamic Between Kevin Durant and also Draymond Green, so cagey responds to that tweet or that post from Jerusalem and said, that's funny and then recently and this is not the new for KD. He keeps on going back and forth with random people on Twitter. I don't know about you trace. If you made it, let's say at guard six, FT four From Penn State. Ryan. Trace Hickey. You have to be a good three point shooter. By the way, if if you have to go with the whole trade 100% do through the dome every time you have to be, like Carmelo Anthony all the time. Three to the Dome three to the Dome three to the dome. If you became a basketball player That was a two time finals and VP If I tweeted you her go with the real wood A ring her you suck. Your cupcake. You stink. You're terrible. You're awful. You're brutal. You want to go win a ring with the team that was already great. Would you care? Would you respond? No. Would not care if I would respond. You know how I would do it. Mark Schlereth star. See what he does. I'll show the rings. Put the hand on the table. Put the radius finger. Oh, he's got the ball finger fingers. Yeah. Cheese. I used to work with Baldy at the fanatic in Philadelphia. Any time he would see me. I'm a zoo. The kids say that me up. It was weird because that pinky would put would poke you. It was a difficult handshake when he would tap you up. Or maybe it's not whatever the fingers that's messed up. It is. I think it is the pinky. I was gonna ask. How do you give me a hand shake? He just That's you Because it Zahhar left right there. Yeah, just taking back. What's going on? Brother taps? Yup. Just got stabbed in my hand by both fingers finger. That's pretty much what happens. I just wouldn't care..

"These Waddle and Silvy on ESPN truecar everybody thinks it's kind of end of that's just not smart. Not yet. We lost this year. Clearly is our year, but Saudi cookie crumbles sometimes. Well, yeah. I hear a lot of that noise. Stand overrun. Jess. I'll see you having we'll be back. Draymond was really entertaining on the podium. He was talking about his technical foul situation. If he got one more technical folly would have been suspended for a game seven, and he's like, what do you think I'm stupid? He's like, I knew what it was. I wasn't going to get too technical. This also caught my ear then we'll take more calls on what you will witness last night, or maybe listened right here on ESPN one thousand plus Nick free out coming up at three o'clock. Steve curve on Klay Thompson, because this was so dramatic clay's having the great game. He was awesome since hurting the hamstring and he's in the middle having this. And then you're like, oh, no. That's not good the way that hyper-extended. But then the next thing you know, he's coming back out of the tunnel. And then he's trying to like jog on it. And he looks okay? You like is he really going to be able to continue to play. This is what went on basically on the warriors bench. He wasn't aware of the. Rule that, you know, if you don't shoot the free throws you can't come back in the game. So I think somebody told him in the hallway clay being Klay, just turned right around and came back and shot the free throws. We committed the foul to get out of the game. And he came back. And he told me just two minutes. I think there was, you know, two minutes left in the third, they suggest a two minute rest. I'll be ready. And next thing I heard was he was stunned for the for the night from true Yoder trainer. Can you imagine that just giving a two minute rest? I'm going to go back in the back of the hall. I'll be back and I'm gonna play and bam. We'll like adrenaline takes over there. So that's why he was able to run for a little bit. Yeah. Or is back out and ran to grantable berries, in Hazel crest barrier on ESPN one thousand what's up? Hey, good afternoon. Well, let me go to your point about the bold move. The move was a couple of reasons. Number one, you brought quite to the Eastern Conference where they play a completely different style of basketball, and you banked on you'd be able to go to the finals and win it with a new team that in itself is one hell of an accomplishment, second point that I wanna make is Nick nurse out coach Steve Kerr without a doubt. They were one three pointer in that game from being swept away. And I think the last thing that I want to point out to you guys. Collide. Leonard is probably too underrated. What he does. He's the most complete basketball player in the NBA he can score. He can rebound. He can pass but he shut down their best player. Shut down the Greek freak, LeBron doesn't bullshit down the best player. He tried to with Eric rose. And that was smaller doesn't do that. So it was a bold move, and I have quite a wind up staying there now. We'll say very I mean like I my appreciation grew leaps and bounds for what coup Leonard is a player. You're absolutely right. I mean, I don't think six months ago. Anyone considered him the best player in the NBA. He's now in the conversation at the very least, especially with Katie how, I don't think that Kerr got outcoached. I think that the warriors got out GM because like if you look at it the death I mean they were playing Girenko at the end of the game yesterday, no death because they've had to give all of their money to these three stars. And they've had to you know, work with. Donna and work with all these guys to try to find something that works. But when you've got nothing left in your playing and Jeremiah's playing meaningful minutes DeMarcus cousins has to play meaningful minutes. Like that's not. That's not being coached. That's just not having enough players are buddy. Danny, and shamburg. You're on ESPN with thousand eight Marco, how you doing this Friday. So by the time you got a good phone in your ear way in line buddy sees that, now you're getting smart. You ready for the weekend? I'm ready. Let's go, Pete, Pete's French market. Tonight wing. Does it get better than that? Where where are you going this weekend farmer's market? What do you think you're talking to cavern show, Danny from show? But I do like this producer lineup today. It's like the who's who you got. My main man, the Egyptian lion AA. And then DC we missed maller though, too. We like our guys. But it's it's nice. Nice refreshing change for a day or two. Your mind made some good points. But I still think it's kind of Iraqi five paper champion Brockie five, that's what they call Tommy, any freaked out. Try not to remember anything. Rocky five on man. But I know you can't like injuries happen like but, you know, and I know they had Katie and Klay. The raptors are winning this thing. So you're gonna look back on it, and you're gonna go. No, I won't Danny Ivy league. Look, again, they were struggling with K D against the rockets. And then he got hurt. They miraculously pulled back game out. And then and then they ended up winning I was shocked by that Zack's in Volos. Zach you're on ESPN one thousand one Zack. So here's things Klay Thompson me. I've tore my ACL three times you could run forward and backwards but side to side movement. He'd never been able to move free. Throws down the stretch is what killed the warriors cousins miss free throws dream on greenness free throws. They still should they still had a chance to win that game even missing free. Throws down the stretch did you mention do you mention too. I didn't hear a few mentioned Daiki. I mean I didn't even think about that. But he missed running Zach. It's a great point. I mean, is great as Andre Iguodala Goodell is he's an awful free throw shooter. I think it was forty three percent in the playoffs and he had lift yesterday. He was making three pointers. He was driving to the hoop. He just can't make a free throw, and you're right, those free throws crush them. I debate with Merck on text last night. Merck said it was a bad final shot for the warriors with staff. I said it was a good one. Nick free del weighed in on that, and tell us if that was the craziest NBA finals. He can remember going to be Pete's fresh market tonight..

"They couldn't have tried to say, hey, he might play. It would have been. No. He's got a torn achilles sample. I've got the K NPR radio. The report the morning after draft was injured in this like may ninth and Steve curve ruled out in the Killys injury said it's not the achilles. He said, that's the first thing he was asked, they were talking about him playing later in the Houston series. But this is again, media speculation. And then one of the team doctors told them depends on the severity of a calf injury. Could be days or months, depending, if there's tears or not the calf and I don't know if, if there's a terror in their Golden State needs to be honest, and not, you know, say you know, you might. I'm back like Toronto's. Game plans going to chain Toronto. You know, like whoever's out there, I got a guard, you're not gonna go here. Kevin Durant coming back. Now. What do we do? Durant had this similar injury in two thousand seventeen he missed eight days and only two games. So a lot of people were basing their his recovery on what happened a couple years ago when he had a similar injury. All right. A couple of phone calls here, best and worst of weekend. We also talked about, there was a little showboating in the dodgers and the giants series yesterday, max Muncie was pimp and a home run, and mad bummed didn't like it at all. And we thought they were gonna come to blows. Stephen California joins us on that topic. Hi steve. Foot two eight five. Yeah. So I'm I'm a big fan of protect the game and traditional baseball and respect the game to this. And so I'm not going to stand up and defend. Any manual Charles dirty place, but Matt Mack bum and max Muncie. We're watching the ball the same amount. And when Madison Bumgarner turned around he was looking for him to not be running. He was he was he was searching for that condenser now. And having that attitude with the pyre about the strike zone earlier on the first dating and turning around, and looking for that contention seat and said it, right. Man, pitch pitchers are bunch of drama. Thank you. Thank you, Steve. Yeah. I, I had a problem with the whole like just you hit a bomb, great, but, you know, Bumgarner is walking with him as he's walking around the basis for a little while. And then he's got something to say to them, and then Bumgarner says, well, why can't I be myself? You're going to be yourself. I don't care. But I just don't want the cowardly thing that happens here is pitcher gives up a home run. And the guy who pays is the next guy who comes to the plate. Oh, you're gonna show boat. I'm gonna put one in your ear. I think that's the most cowardly thing we have in sports is when a pitcher uses the baseball as a weapon to throw it at somebody's head, because you screwed up and all I'm so mad. Now I'm going to take it out on you. Like this is what I love. Hey, it's the unwritten rules. Hey, don't show up the game you know, old school? So throwing it somebody's head with a baseball who didn't do anything to you. That's okay. But. The guy who hits the home run and add Myers it. That's the problem we have. Okay. I get that. Got a problem in with pitchers. Oh, you homered off me. You know what? I'm so mad. I'm gonna hit the next guy. How about you're mad at yourself? You gave up the home run. The guy just did his job. He did his job. You didn't therefore you want to take it out on somebody else. The next guy up embarrassing. Let me see Angelo in Alaska joins us. I Angelo, what do you have for me today? I'm five eleven and it's time for Kito to twenty two. Watching on audience network. And when you see a home run, it's pretty apparent that you're not watching the person try, you're taking credit..

"Sports radio. What's going on? Nick. On TV today on the news. You have Koppel. Camping. One. Is that I think? Has the warriors before that, though, that what was that? You wanna look the Portland. The lawyers and he said that, that they were doubling civil team player in Portland. And was like. What the loan is gonna do. And. Yeah. And to that point, Nick, Nick, nurse Nick, Nick, Nick, Nick Nick nurse knickers has done a great job. I agree. And he's been able to roll out design plays that if that triple team swarms in their dishing that around the key rather quickly and but to, to be coach and design these plays somebody else to stop in step up and hit points. They were able to take advantage of what they see them in game one hit everything driving to the lane. E Baca was so critical in game four and look let's face it. They haven't gotten a ton of secondary score from Kyle Lowry, but Kyle Lowry coaching. Wise is all the little things taking charges drawing fouls. The difference between Nick nurses, Steve Kerr, Nick nurse Xs and os is one hundred percent out coaching Steve curve. Steve Kerr has never been about Xs and os, nor has he had to be since I always question when people talk about what great head coach Steve Kerr is, what are we defining? That makes it great head coach. If you win championships. Sometimes it's not necessarily about. Out the head coach. And what he's doing Xs and os, y particularly in the NBA look when it comes to plays and scoring a tree, stump could probably coach, the five warriors, they put on the floor management patients where Steve Kerr comes into Steve Kerr. Good head coach is that he's able to manage egos manage the locker room. And this was set a lot dating back to nineties baseball. And even with Phil Jackson, the bulls. Now Phil Jackson ran the triangle. So the big part of it, but how about Joe Torry in the Yankees, Joe Torry when he managed the New York Yankees dynasty, made a lot of bad mistakes mismanaged the bullpen and stuff like that would drive people nuts. But what Joe Torry one he was a perfectly as I'm between a crazy owner, George Steinbrenner in handling big egos in the locker room and Steve Kerr. Look that's not easy. The NBA where everybody wants to get dares. Draymond green, Kevin Durant. Steph curry Klay Thompson. And if you don't Klay Thompson as an eagle, look at the way, he was yelling at Drake on that injured hamstring in the tunnel after game to basically say of my Hampshire wasn't busted would have been worse. I mean, Klay Thompson nego to and to be able to manage those egos. I think Steve Kerr's big traded head coach and not necessarily Xs and os, where Nick nurse realism a lot of egos, the manage, because just even truly Evan ego. I mean you never really hear the guy talk and other than that, search box ego. Kyle ares. I'm going to have an ego, his is about the Xs and os and drop the place. So Xs and os, wise. Yeah, you're right. Nick, nurses completely alco Steve Kerr. But do we even know how good Mexico's coach Steve Kerr is to begin with now on that note? Legacies mentioned the raptors legacy is team and how they will forever be remembered if they pull off, frankly being an enormous upset here in the NBA finals. But an individual legacy moment. It wouldn't mean NBA finals would have star power, and there are a lot of stars either playing or on the team on these teams not playing that legacies will be affected and defined and the three I point to the most are, obviously quite Leonard Steph curry and Kevin Durant. And I asked this question. Eight five five two one two four two two seven..

"The leadoff spot. We were talking Golden State warrior basketball five point win yesterday against the Dallas Mavericks, and then tomorrow, they'll be back at it against the Denver Nuggets. Battling for the top spot in the Western Conference. That'll be the real test. That'll be the fun one. You know, we talked about a right before they got their streaky games going on this stretch of games going saying, you should beat these teams. You should beat the Knicks beat the kings. You should beat the Mavericks beat the bulls, and he should do it handily. I thought last night was a good a good staving off of the Dallas Mavericks a team that that is on the up a team. That's got some good veteran players in a team with a great young player and Luca Danni with an opportunity feeling like they could come in and knock off the warriors at home have an opportunity to do some damage and put a little notch in their belt at the expense of the defending world champion, Golden State Warriors. But tomorrow's the big one. Come out, and and you beat the the Denver Nuggets. And then you really do solidify yourself as I dunno back feeling like you're playing your brand of basketball. So they're individuals third stretch of of the quadrants as Kevin Durant. Steve curve talked about into their third quadrant here. So how do they fair over these next twenty games will be a big deal? I mentioned to you on Friday night because the games always pass on Friday and they play against Sunday. We tend to forget about stuff that happened in that earlier game. But it was a blowout game not much of note there other than the fact that Steph curry past Jason Terry for third on the all-time list. Now, something to note in this game is that he passed Jason Terry. But he'd also passed Kyle Korver to get to that spot on the west. Cal Korver, of course, active as well. Rough weekend for Jason Terry. Jason Terry loses his spot to Steph curry and then a day later. Cow. Korver comes in tops Jason Terry. So Terry goes from third on the all-time three-point lists to fifth on the all-time three pointless over a course of two days here Steph curry after the game Friday night talking about how important it was to. Him to pass Jason Terry. Because of the company had put him in the top three. This is a special accomplishment in terms of guys know, trendsetters and stretching. Imagination three point game doing it for many many many years and people that I looked up to as a young kid playing a game. Kind of my day sparked the love of shooting the basketball into have like you said look up on the list, and I want to catch them and put together many more years at this pace. But just knowing knows to Gaza right in front of me special moment for sure. Yeah. Pretty cool. And I felt the same way like as a kid for me. Those are the top three point shooters ever. And I remember when right. I said when Ray Allen past Reggie Miller and the game was on national TV and Reggie's calling the game. It was pretty cool. Yeah. He got up. And I I remember I think it might have been Harlan. He's calling the game Reggie gets up and leaves from behind the broadcast table to go shake Ray Alexander's pretty special moment. So steps said he's going to send that ball. I was trying to get an autographed by both of those guys. Pretty cool. Some other stuff from the weekend. Some fun stuff. That we're aware of. Thank you, Bob. There's some other stuff from from down in LA on Saturday, snoop Dogg who like this has become a thing. Now, whenever whatever he steps into a booth or joins a cooking show or whatever he does when he's Mike up. He's he's. Yeah. They've given me the two fingers to the lips whenever he's whenever he's miked up. He's fun stuff. So he was at an LA kings. Pittsburgh Penguins game one one in the first period. He steps into the booth and naturally as it gets into the booth. A fight breaks out.

"University, which however much it helps you it's gonna help you a whole hell of a lot more. It's gonna help some regular regular student. And if you don't have if you went to the G league or you went straight pros, like I don't even know what you do you gotta you. Gotta get ask the people who you played professionally for a job or for advice and their vice is going to be do. You gotta go back to college and get a degree because very few people get hired without a degree. Yeah. Absolutely. I think you look at the, you know, obviously, the athletes that are that are. Yeah. There are some guys who are making her multi-million dollar stars. And they're going to be NBA players or NFL players or tennis stars. Or whether the case may be, but you know, the vast majority of them are going to hopefully, get a degree and fall back on their contacts and develop into the the career office at the schools to help them get a job. I mean think about you hear stories all the time a lot of guys who end up going on and getting jobs who are athletes. You know, it's an alumni at the university knew who gave him the job, you know, or got him into door. Whatever the case may be. I don't disagree that they should get and they already get paid. And I know some people get paid area already get a stipend. They're getting paid my dad played at Old Dominion back in the day. And they used to get a laundry money back then they used to get a little bit of spending money on the side. And but it's kinda hard door to open 'cause I don't know where it stops. Yep. With that. You know, an I can what about my likeness, use my likeness outside. Well, okay. You know? I mean, you wanna go sell your autograph? How you know? Then you can't police, you know, an alumni giving you a million dollars for autographs if they won't do because you're 'cause you got Alabama. So I'm a big believer in if you wanna be a professional, then go professional, and if you wanna be an athlete in college student athlete, go to go to college. Of course, I would be in favor of them. Putting the baseball rule in for basketball as well. Just like they do for football last thing, Leslie you've been through lot personally professionally. I know you still love basketball basketball's still very much in heart. You mentioned Eric Muslim who of course, you played for for short period. Time. You mentioned Steve curve. Course, you have connections in the sport. Will you will you ever get back in? I don't know. I don't know. I one day, you know, right now, I've got a daughter who's a freshman volleyball player west side. So when reason I got out of coaching when I got into what I'm doing. Now is I didn't had opportunities. I just didn't wanna move my family. My grew up here. My wife's family grew up here. Maybe once my daughter that high school, I might consider it. But I really enjoy what I'm doing. I'm working with a great company. We're you know, we're we're growing, and we're very successful. And what we do here. Locally. So I'm enjoying it. Right now. You know, I don't I don't miss, you know, the late night film session to figure out how we couldn't guard the pick and roll. Awesome. But also miss the competitiveness as well. Okay. I said lasting. I lied. You're six foot two guard from Greensboro, North Carolina JABA, she very good athlete very competitive. If you were going to give advice to a kid and say, this is how you how do you make it whatever level it is. How do you? How do you make it? What's what's the two or three things that somebody should legitimately focus on in terms of how do I make because how do I make it is the same in high school is the same in college is the same as professional? How do I make it? There's no substitute for work. I think..

"To flourish during the interstate thirty five project I go, I'll say this. Everyone, awake. Oh, seems like they have a heart of gold. Like every time I watched the show every. You know, like I read, I was reading about this. You had quotes from like the mayor. You had quotes from city council. You had, you know, chip and Joanna pass, and everyone in Waco seems like the best people ever and not only that you can find the best house or the worst house in the best neighborhood for really cheap. Eighty dollars for house. Like basically it's basically a big Mayberry is the impression I get Waco giant. I don't even know that it's a big Mayberry. I think it's just a Mayberry. It has like Baylor there. So I mean, you know, as a major university Marion Barry, not have a college? No. Mayberry was off the main road. They made. Disa- building and that hell the jail, Sal. It was one this little building that was a police station and a tiny jail cell peop- for people who had been. Let me try to say this delicately they're writing session had run. They really played up the humor of alcoholism jail cell. All the good qualities of the show. They did play a crippling. Alcoholism. Good joke. Like what in jail cell and let's make fun of him while he says absurd, I'm gonna hear this parish. The good people of Mayberry. You get the impression that maybe higher education wasn't a huge priority and that said. Outside of Andy, I feel like the after him the intellect general intellectual Maluku really takes nosedive. That's true. Andy kind of holds together and then, yeah, if you were to move him from the equation, like I feel like I feel like that that may berry was one sheriff, you know, not being around to devolve into Lord of the flies where everyone sustain themselves on, you know, knife-fights and Kane fishing like that was the only way they could survive and whistling contests, which. We weren't allowed to watch TV in my house growing up. You'll know this that we didn't want Thursday. Yeah, there was no TV, except when dad got home from work. He wanted to watch the Andy Griffith show. So I have seen every episode because it was the only TV show. I was allowed to watch Monday through Thursday and my house all grown up. We got to watch one episode afterward, but before dinner, it's very wholesome show. I learned a lot about sufficient other than the crippling alcoholism thing is still holds as rippling out. There's the, I watch it still. I mean, throw it on my life. I'm written a lot of books about it around him. Thanks to it. Alcohol is little still still get a kit, like never whenever I stop stop and think about that being little Ron Howard, my mind is just exploded right? What a wonderful universe, like just an incredible life that we always more surprised about the happy days. Ron Howard, then I am the Andy Griffith wrong Harley. Your mind? I mean, think about think about that. I mean, honestly, what other person has been involved in as much influential. Television series right and movies. And I mean, run her nerve to the Star Wars movie like he's been everywhere is not is stumped all over the entirety of American pop culture. I think about like Steve curve sometimes caring about how he was like on the best bull steam the best, the best bursting. And now. On the coaches, the best wizar- same and like wizards warriors seems and it's like, who else could have this like this career that spans all these different teams and all these roles feel like Ron Howard occupies that for TV and movies like he's literally since he was..
