"Brown. He's bald, and he's breaking it down. It's America at night, with rich valdes. Republicans already attacking Kamala Harris. They think that's going to be an issue. Listen, I understand he's 80 years old. And people always overthink this stuff. They always everything this stuff. I've never met one person in my life that voted for a candidate. A presidential candidate because of the vice president. It just doesn't happen. Maybe it'll help bring a state over once in a while. But in this case, almost never. Yeah, but in this case, attacks against Kamala, Harris. These people going. Yeah. Yeah, whatever. It's just it's another one of those things that is done primarily to whip up more frenzy among the Republican base because they don't like her because guess what? She's a black woman. She's a black man. They're not into that. Is it the fact that she's a black woman that Republicans don't like or the fact that she's not a smart woman? Um. I'm gonna go with the latter. Anyway, let us continue with your calls. Let's go to Steve. He's in Cleveland, Ohio, WE O Steve. Welcome, Iran with rich valdes go ahead. It is easy listening of the evening, rich, all right. My man. Yesterday was talking about ADD and I forgot to tell you something. If you really think about it, ADD has got a couple of definitions, but I came up with the first one because I had a problem one night. But it's a tension deficit debt. Why? A lot of other ones. Because all dads have attention problems when it comes to kids, it's like, yeah, we'll take care of it later. I miss her. I got you right. You're like, hey, what did you say? That's so true. Anyway, tell me what you think about Biden and his reelection bid. Well, I think ADD also stands for tension deficit Democrat. When you stick, when you put a scarecrow out front and you make him the main focus, you never look at The Wizard of Oz, don't pay no attention to the man behind the curtain. And we're going to give you a road full of gold and actually money that used to be backed by gold now it's just paper. But when you look at what Biden is doing, he has to be the front runner out there just to stick out there because it just has to be Obama's third term. And if he can last long enough between now and article 25, whatever the heck it is or impeach him or whatever because if you impeach his son who's living in The White House because you don't want to pay child support or whatever this full stuff is and the other guy he's used to build buildings and put his name at the top of golf courses and these people, this country is either that stupid ESP acting could stand for extraordinary stupid people. We're going to run out of time, Steve. Let's get to your bottom line here. Biden Biden going to run. He's going to be gone in 6 months. Michelle Obama, I believe is going to be surprise FrontRunner. And they have a surprise somewhere they think. But I don't know who that one is, but Biden is not going to finish this. He can't finish the term once and keep giving him B 12 shots. We'll see what happens. I don't know. He's got all the people in the world behind him, but he ain't going to run. All right, Steve, thanks. Yeah, I don't know how that ends up. I personally don't think Michelle Obama will ever run for president. I think she'd lose a ton of money in doing so. They make a lot of money by not being in The White House anymore and a run for The White House. Short term add to their coffers for campaign donations and stuff. But long-term, it would put a lot of scrutiny on them and they don't want anybody scrutinizing their cash. So I doubt that's going to happen. But let's see, man, you know, Stranger Things have happened, I guess. Steve, big shout out to you and everybody listening in Cleveland on W EOL. Let's continue. Let's go to Sarah in Bedford, Indiana, WBI, W, Sarah go right ahead. Hi, rich. I got a story I'll try to make quick about toxic work environment. In the really early 90s, my mom was working, I won't name the hospital, but you'd recognize that prestigious hospital Manhattan, there was a security guard and huge complaint he'd make inappropriate comments and try to lift up her dress. Was it Joe Biden? No, no. It wasn't Joe Biden. But anyway, they won't throw short. She tried to avoid my stuff. One day he got me elevated with her and grabbed her and tried to kiss her and she punched him. And he told her I'll have your job because she was white. He was black and he had a brother who was real big in the hospital union. And he told her that, I'm going to have your job. So she left work, made a police report telling what she did and why she did it. And the next day is coming to work. They were ready to fire her because he claimed that he got elevated with her and she just called him a certain racial epitaph and then punched him for no reason and she said you do that. I'll sue you and I'll win because this is what happened and why didn't he make a police report? Anyway, make a long story short. She kept her job, but she had to take racial sensitivity classes. Rule travesty addressed this. It was awful. Yeah. Toxic workplace, right? Yeah. And you know, just replacing one type of racism with another. It just really sad. It shouldn't happen. And it's sad. I mean, it's just a bad deal. Yeah, let me ask you this. Going back to Biden. What are your thoughts on Biden's run? He's announced. We've heard the video. What do you think? Do you think he's got a shot? Do you think he sticks around? Do you think it's temporary? I think, well, I honestly think it's kind of scary that the running such a lame duck because it tells me that it almost gives credence that we'll have a fixed election. I just can't believe them running such a lacklustre candidate and expect you to win unless they have something up their sleeves. That's my honest opinion. Yeah, well, I don't even think Democrats are enthused, so I don't know if they have anything up their sleeves. I think that's just Biden saying, I don't want to leave. I'm not going anywhere. But thank you, Sarah. I appreciate it. Let us continue. Let's go to Doc and Wilmington, Delaware. WDL

"Meal, the kind that we've all become used to during the pandemic, and I ran into my neighbor who said that Since getting vaccinated, he's already eaten in a restaurant twice. For the first time in the pandemic. My mom got on a plane the other day she is vaccinated, but wore a mask as required. We are in a moment of transition. Some safety precautions lifted other still in place. Many people vaccinated. Many not eight states now report that 70% of adults have at least one shot. That is a number that President Biden once all states to reach by July, 4th. NPR's Allison Aubrey joins us Now is she does just about every Monday. Hey there, Alison. Good morning, Steve. How are the states doing? Well. It's the smaller northeastern states that have met the goal first, including all of New England and New Jersey nationwide. 61% of adults have received their first dose. So this is good news. But there are states were vaccinations remain much lower, including in Alabama, Mississippi, Arkansas, The number of daily vaccinations has been declining nationwide. Surgeon General Vivek Murthy has pointed to survey data showing more people would be motivated to roll up their sleeves if their employers gave them time off to get the shot and recover from it. So employers not only have an opportunity to increase vaccination rates, it turns out that they can also help that closed the equity gap in vaccinations. In recent weeks, Steve Big retailers, including Target and Wal Mart, have announced compensation for hourly employees who get vaccinated. Okay, makes sense. It's a market economy. If you really need people to do something, make sure they're paid for it. Yeah, and in Ohio, they have gotten a lot of attention for their vaccine Million program. People who get vaccinated could win a million dollars. Other states have jumped on this lottery bandwagon. Oregon, Kentucky, Maryland, New York has rolled out its vacs and scratch initiative. The big prize five million bucks. Now Ohio is touting some pretty impressive numbers. Steve boosting vaccinations. And I talked to a behavioral economist about this Katie milkman at the University of Pennsylvania. Hi Jackpot is really alluring and feels exciting like a game and because we overweight, the small probability that we might win and imagine that wonderful outcome They're really highly motivating others, lots of research showing that lotteries to be used to change all sorts of other health behaviors. Now in Ohio. People under the age of 18, who get vaccinated can be entered to win the lottery, too. When a four year scholarship to a public university in ST so not a million bucks, but an education. Oh, sure. Well, it's the Ohio State University. So you know, it could be one of the other public excuse there anyway, so these city incentive seemed to be working. But of course, we're still moving toward getting more younger people vaccinated. How's it going? That's right, well, CDC director Rochelle Wolinsky said last week about 600,000. People between the ages of 12 and 15 had received their first deuce. That's out of the roughly 17 million Children in this age group. Now I should point out the CDC is evaluating a small number of cases of myocarditis and adolescents and young adults who have been vaccinated with E M R any vaccines those made by Pfizer and Madonna. This is information of the heart. And for now, what is known is that the cases have been mild. Okay, let's underline that word mild, But I know that a lot of parents are going to hear that news and sit up. I mean, anything is is concerning, you know, I understand that. I mean, experts really don't know if the vaccine is causing the heart inflammation and the cases are pretty rare. Steve No higher than the expected baseline rate of myocarditis, meaning the number of cases you'd expect to see. In this population. I spoke to petition Stench field. She's a nonvoting member of the CDC Advisory Committee on Immunization practices. It is younger, adolescent young adult males mostly after does too and save all seemed to be mild and are being followed up right now. So at this point in time, We don't have information that says this is cause and effect, but it's enough for us to just take a closer look. Now leaders of the American Academy of Pediatrics tell me the group is watching this closely in touch with the CDC about it. But nothing has changed in the recommendations. Pediatricians are encouraging kids 12 and up to get vaccinated, and the vaccine program is successful. Steve Case's air down to about 21,000 Day That's less than half of where they were just a month ago. OK, so that leads to another question, Allison and this is a question about public health, I guess, but it's also about sociology and lifestyles and How people want to spend their time. Do people want to go back to the office in person? Those millions who have not been in the office very much the last year. You know, I think it depends many do. Many people have been able to work from home over the last 15 months that have gotten used to it. They like it. I spoke to David Greene Way of U Mass. Lowell, who's been analyzing workers. Reactions to pandemic changes. Well, work. Life balance has always been this perennial struggle. It seems like putting the genie back in the bottle. After this taste of autonomy and flexibility is going to be difficult for employers, especially if the old policies they're just simply Re implemented. You know this long pauses, giving people to adjust to a new way. Some people have moved to be near family, or to be in a place with a better quality of life said to the mountains or the water. We've all gotten used to, you know, slurping our coffee and doing our work and our yoga pants. So some people made bristle of having to snap back to the way it was in March of 2020 Never mind bristling. I could even imagine people feeling some anxiety about going into the office, even though they did it for years before. I think that's right. And nothing. Stokes anxiety like uncertainty, so the sooner employers can be clear about what is expected. What return policies will be. The sooner workers can plan. There are a number of things workers cannot control, so focus on the things you can control planning for child care planning. Your commute asked for more flexibility if.

"Called. How are you Get? I'm calling about a large bird of paradise. With the blue and white flowers, but 25 ft tall, Okay, it's about 67 years old. It takes about five years to bloom. We were gone for the first six months of the year last year to come home and half of it was dead. And you know, because it didn't get in water, But I was wondering if it needs more nutrients than be one. Absolutely, You know, big bird like Steve. Big Bird didn't get so big by not eating. And so if you want to the time to feed its when it wakes up, and that's going to be right here in February, so if you'll find feed it in February with Citrus Food or 2020 20 miracle, anything you have Will really help. It's going to grow the fastest in April and may when it's warmer. Yeah, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to interrupt. The blooms air coming out now, But there comes the flowers air coming out dead well, but the thing is, as long as it's pushing out growth, you know, they really probably suffered last year when it was 115 for a month straight, you know, and they didn't like that with a lack of water. You're right on as far as the problem, but fertilize it this spring. It's going to warm up. It's gonna grow back fast. You can air on the side of being wet and the more you feed it, The faster you grow to a certain point, and I think it would be nice and happy and quite pretty again by April. Okay, one more question about it. Um, Like I said, it's probably 67 years old, and I have some sixth sense around stocks coming up. And should I should I prune it out. I mean, it's spreading. I like it. But other people say that the old stocks should come out here. He told me the most important thing. You said you like it. You know, we were lead grow plants at home Weaker on the way. We're there in our house, right? You weren't funny. The way we want to prove, and the plants can't talk back to us. He can see how they react. But they can't talk back to us. And everybody else just has their opinion. So the opinion that matters the most of your home is yours. Okay? Yeah, I can't back off. I mean, I really cut it back. The dead It's coming back. Nice and healthy. Wonderful. I think it loves you, Sherry. I take good care of him. We'll take care. Bye bye. Don't don't go into several times. If you do leave somebody water like let's see. Next. We've got rickets surprised, but after Rick, we've got Ward opened phones. Yes, we did get Bryce a call. He's back here smiling. And then we're to call 602 to 775 87. Good morning, Rick. Good morning, Brian. In early December, I transplanted an olive tree into my yard and it looked okay for the first months, But in the last week or so, the leaves appear to be drying up, and I'm worrying I may lose a tree. I've been watering it with a drip irrigation once a week, flooding the base, and I'm wondering if there's anything I can do to help save this trio than just But water Well, your your drip irrigation fills the well once a week. Yes. Okay. And where you're at surprises, your soil drained pretty fast. Oh, no, It's it's quite okay. So then you're probably watering it too much this suffocating it. So the first thing I would do is dig around the base of it. Make sure you didn't plan it deeper. Then when you swear you pulled it out from And make sure it's that I didn't do II put it. The root ball sits up above the basin. That's fantastic. Okay, so that's all good. Now don't water it till it pops new growth. Really? Yeah. So it might be a month or more. And if you do water one time we know why it's raining right now go out and pick up some super thrive and throw some super thrive on it. And probably a little bit of high nitrogen fertilizer If he had 21, 7 14 lawn food around home or just kind of anything. 16 20 or, you know, just throw a light goes to fertilize their there. Put the super thrive on there and don't wander into it Throws budget. If it doesn't throw budge, you can throw it away. Yeah. And when should the buds Oh, it's probably three or four weeks. Okay, but you got to dry it out. You're just rot in it. Really? Yeah, but it's not using any water. It's wintertime. So even if it were healthy and routed, it wouldn't be using any water And now you're pouring water. It's like somebody grabbing you around the throat and holding under the water. They improve now, baby, So you know, it's just it's suffocating. All right, all right. That's not what I expected. All right, Thanks. Very good. Thank you. I know you're not that mean and wanting to be cruel, but you know, sometimes were cruel by accident. You know, the other thing is the most plants that you know. A lot of them died because their loved to death too. They just get hugged too often. Anyway, Rick, have a nice weekend. You too vibrant. Well, that leaves us with these wide open phones and Bryce back here smiling in a beautiful morning out there. Why not be a little lazy today? You know, this morning about four o'clock When I woke up, it was raining like crazy, which was just fantastic. You know, you open the.

"I'm curious. All right, let's go ahead and get back to business. Charles Europe next Welcome to the program. All right. Looks like Charles left the building. Let's go ahead and jump over to Brady. Brady. You're next. Welcome to the show. Yeah, right on Steve. Big thing that I see right away. Is everything that Donald Trump has done for Israel in the Middle East will be gone overnight. Get back to the Iran agreement. Right now They're in trouble right now Iran for enriching uranium into metallic substances, which means it's for fuel rods, which is used to send the missiles into Israel or across homely, different nation. That's gonna be destroyed. So right now you're gonna have to Israeli is going to go in within the next couple of months and then take up Iran. She can't have a war within the next couple months started, you know, And what I heard today was made was absolutely pathetic. I heard Hillary and Pelosi. Referring to our January 6 that Donald Trump was calling Vladimir Putin to talk about the riots at the Capitol. I know I read that. What ridiculousness we can Hollis is just gonna be written in the history books for our kids. You know, this is confusing my son. I am so This stop at the Democrats for what they've done to this man and what he should be on my Rushmore, and they want to impeach him again. For the second time. We've got a big, big, ironic thing going on in this country, and I don't know how we're gonna fix it. Yeah, I'm with you, man. I'm with you, Brady. And you know, tonight is the last full night of Donald Trump in office last full night. Yeah, It's incredible stuff. It is all right, Let's go ahead. And I hope I'm saying his name correctly or her surgery. You're next. Welcome to the program. I see if it's actually Sergei. Sergei, We'll see. You know what? I don't want you to think that I'm the guy that basically did that? I only read what they put on their own. No, no. War is just a good old fashioned Eastern European name. That's my name isn't proud, Naturalized American citizen. Now had in honor of casting my first vote as a naturalized citizen in 2016 election because I became eligible to vote only 2015. I've done it right, So the rest of my family And I just want to touch on one point that you brought up earlier in your show about a third party option, and I want all of your listeners to really understand one thing. Okay? Stop voting Republican because everything that took place in the past just a couple weeks alone as you And properly pointed out, show their true colors. "Out with you on this Friday edition of the show 70 to 257539 sixes. How you waited the program we've been discussing if you're just joining us. What I told you would come and that is the mandates of the vaccine. It's already happening in Los Angeles. Okay, it's already been announced. This is confirmed. That the L. A unified school district will require students to show proof that they've received a coded 19 vaccine. If you don't you don't go back to school. You have to keep your kids in remote learning. And definitely why do I bring this up to fold one? I've got people listening to me right now in Los Angeles. Why? Because Katie WN is heard in L. A. As clears. It's heard here in Vegas. Two. Cecil Act is the Robin to Newsome's Batman. And he loves to be a copycat because he can't think for himself. He's inept. And you know what? What's going to stop that from happening in Clark County? It may not. I pray to God it doesn't. But could we go so far to the left because we have a so far to the left president coming in in a week, less than a week being inaugurated. And if that's the case, friends if that's the case. What do you do? Do you comply? Or do you just start homeschooling? This is serious. As I told you, it would be so we've got a whole set of challenges that we're going to be dealing with going forward with a Biden administration. All right, let's go ahead and get right down to business. And let's get to the calls on hold that were held over from last night. Let's start off with Christine Europe first Welcome to the program. Hi, Steve. Um, there is no way I'm letting my Children take that vaccine. Not when I don't know. What the side effects are seen in 10 years. Are we going to be watching commercials where they're saying? If you took this shot for covert 19, you're now entitled to compensation. We don't know if it's gonna cause sterilization. Um, And the other thing is what happened to the radical left thing. My body. My choice. Why can't I make the choice? Whether I want to take the vaccine or not? Yeah, that's only reserved for you know the murder of the unborn, Sadly. It's It's ridiculous, So I think it's hypocrisy, though. Let me ask you a question. Christine. Okay, So if that's the case, and obviously this has happened in Los Angeles, But let's say that happens in Clark County Clark County just today said they're putting the steps together necessary to get in classroom learning again. Let's say that there's something similar. Comes down the pike with Clark County regarding this, then what do you do? I mean, you know what do you keep your kids online? You home school him. I mean, my God, You're a taxpayer. You're getting cheated. Yeah. And you know what? I don't have an answer. I have to go to work and my kids who were Hey, students are now failing most of their classes. Because they're not getting the attention or the kind of schooling that they need. So I don't have no idea like I I don't have the answers. Now That's just that's just horrible. Christine. I appreciate the call it Z. You are like many of the other parents I speak with. They just don't know what to do. And and this is serious business such a serious business. All right, let's go ahead and get right back to business again. We're going to the calls that we held over last night. First. Brady, you're next. Welcome to the program. Yeah, Right on Steve. Big Palm with sister whack. You know, this is been a hell of a year. And like I said, I'm in charge of raising my son here at the house and stuck at the Hollis all the time in it. It's been hell. Lucky my kid did pretty good on his grades, but For him, not get any exercises, but you can't go all We can't use our pools yet for the kid to go swimming. We can't use the exercise room. It's still rocked out in the cold. It So you know, I don't get what he's gonna do it. Sister lock is going to do probably extend this all the way through the year and I don't think the kids are going back. Yeah, And right now, you know, Brady, you know, Clark County today, I've put together some steps and what that looks like. We still don't know. Undetermined. There's a few things that are have been leaked out within these days to come. We're going to know. And I do truly Brady. I have ah, huge concern that they may replicate what l A school district is doing and saying we need proof of vaccine or your kids are gonna have to stay online. It's absolutely ridiculous, but I wanted to bring up what's happening with what policy did the Trump. I think we need to file charge against her. And all the Democrats for finding the charge, like Trump is a white National insurrectionist. I want him removed for filing a false charge. I'm with you. I am so with you. I am just the point now and I gotta bounce. Brady. I'm a pawn breaker. Thank you, man. I just don't think to say this. I hate to be the one that says it. I just don't think.

It Didn't really matter in the end, but I'm intrigued to get your thoughts on the penalty Steve Did. You think it was the right decision. Listen I can see why the referee gave it because. Y-. Gomez on was across the front, and how to hold of of of Sterling, no question.
