"She's got really really good and You know it's just something I enjoy and you know I'm thirty nine years old turned forty in December and you know what? Actively ride my bike as much as I possibly can skateboard as much as I possibly can, and I think it's funny you when I was a kid if like you saw data in his forties riding a BMX biker skateboard you by guys we are now commonplace and all of us that grew up through the eighties and through that era of the you know the and started skating and BMX riding. We're going to talk about rollerbladers. Kazaric. But you know what? I mean like I feel like it's just a part of the same thing video games you know. Twenty years ago you didn't see adults playing video games. Now it's very commonplace. Everybody I know still plays video games. You know it's just. It's just a part of life and something he does that we've grown up with and we've brought with us, and now we do with our kids and it's actually kind of unique and I know Cool things that just happened recently was my favorite movie of all time. I'm not saying Sports Movie Action Sports Movie. No might legit favorite movie of all time is the movie Rad from the Eighties I had the. A kid burn that thing through. This movie that's gone into hibernation for like thirty years and You get these pirate copies from like Bangladesh you know these DVD's or burned and things like that on Ebay and the only way to get a copy the movie and the one time of popped up on Youtube got pulled down they just re released it in four K. and I mean this is probably one of the. Such a cult following and got some big name actors in there. But I would say this is probably one of the greatest action sports films all time, but it's actually a movie and you know that just got re released and so I feel like you know getting these new out I actually just last week ordered a new. Tony Hawk deck, he's got a new kind of retro throwback and. I got kind of got the skateboard collection going and and the thing is like some of I ride and some of them never never get never get gripped or anything and just Kinda hang him here in the studio and I know right now I got this Santa Cruz. Garbage pail kids deck. It was a blind back deal they did and it was like seventy five bucks for blind bag couple years ago and they have like nine different variants and you pull it out. You never know what you're GONNA get one of the I think one of the most rare ones all holographic and everything else. I. Got that in the studio never unwrapped it. So it's like I do skateboard but you collect to you but. I don't know I feel like we're seeing this renaissance of Action, sports? From the eighties and people like myself that are really getting back into it heavy and still skating still being maxine in these movies are being released skateboards. Now, this whole retro series thing become a huge deal same of BMX bikes man they're doing retro bikes from the eighties and the they're so goofy looking it's funny but. It's just fun and and I. Think it's you know it's great for these companies because now we've got disposable income that we can buy the stuff whereas your kid we didn't send our buying the stuff we always wanted as a kid and never could get, and now we got money and it's like Yep take my money eh so. It's been been kind of fun and Buck. You ask, yeah check it out. Go to his instagram. And check it out. It's It's just. Just. Amazing. These two decks is just amazing That's all there is to it. So yeah, it's it's good stuff but you know I guess we should talk a little bit about Vegas to Reno that's coming up one of the big ones indy five hundred and it was announced that they are no longer. Having fan that was a big big blow to the motorsports community. I know Roger Penske said it was one of the toughest decisions of his career. He originally had planned. They were able to twenty five percent capacity, which is about seventy five thousand people said, the five hundred deserves to be run in front of fans and then all of a sudden. You know they just legitimately didn't think was safe can do it. So fans out at the five hundred, it's going to be weird no fans running. In August either TV ratings are going to be the highest they've ever been in history or TV ratings are GonNa be in the toilet I don't know I'm going to be tuned in, but it's going to be interesting to see see what happens there I don't know I just And you know isn't any five hundred win in Indy Five, hundred win or are people going to look at this one go wasn't quite as much. I think it's still been classified as man I mean the ones that happened during the champ car era when they were, they were rivals still count as wins right I don't know it's just a weird mood around the indy five hundred this year. That's kind of my thing. But maybe just to do like a live chat during the five hundred as on twitter something like that we'll. We'll figure out something fun. For you listeners Sema show scrapped this one I think we all knew what's coming. Nobody wants to go and standing convention center shoulder to shoulder with two hundred thousand people. That I had you know they kept saying seem as ago is going on my I don't see how any possible way sema is a go this year and Yeah Rug got pulled out from under it. They still say, PR is ago but she's the mini version a sima geared towards racing same organization. It's an Indian set of Vegas. I. Don't know as easiest way to put it I. Don't know how they're going to pull that one off either but they say it's still go. So who knows maybe it's A. So. Yeah. So all that's going on but Vegas Torino's happening. We know the bow thousand now officially happening, they got a contract in place I. Think the ball five hundred is going to be scrapped. Know. So we've got that to look forward to racing Baja News. we've got to crandon races. We got an e r x race next weekend's the Midwest short courses on fire, and then we've also got. Vegas Torino next weekend, and almost four hundred entries, and it's the WHO's who of. UTV Racing Trophy Truck I. Know it's called Trick. Hazard but stacked injury list I mean, you know you got Robby Gordon. BRYCE MENZIES BG Baldwin you name it just about every single person is there GonNa be Competing Vegas Torino. Think. It's going to be insane I mean and this is a different track. That's what's Great. So a lot of the scores coming over who haven't necessarily done Vegas Green on a couple of years they aren't going to be at a huge disadvantage because the track is different this year different starting place we haven't ever started in are we gonNA valued I know. So running a little bit of the terrible sound to fifty course. And then. Yeah up through baby and you know it's just the wind it differently it's five hundred and fifteen miles but a lot of zigzagging Os's out and it's more of a straight shot but. It's it's going to be interesting this year for Vegas to Reno Just because you know you've got a different track and you've got a stacked field, I mean, every single class, you get the premier. Drivers Utd. The score guys coming over there acing. Trophy trucks, score guys they're coming over there acing I mean, this is the you know five hundred didn't happen in June I mean it's the only major desert race. We may have obviously thousands going on they've got permits and everything else. You know at the end of the day that's still could be cold. We what happened with Indy five hundred you know we've seen NHRA races that are. Getting scrapped in indycar getting scrapped and things could change in Mexico and that could be cancelled. So I think drivers right now are like, Hey, we want we want to raise as many ways as possible. We're going to get him in because we can't bank on anything happening later in the year sponsor obligations everything else. So it's like let's race and that's what we're seeing it Vegas to Reno. Sixty one hundred fields stack class tin class, one top to bottom. It is just an insane insane entry list and I am definitely definitely looking forward to get behind the wheel map razor got racer magazine Mafia coming into race with me obviously my good friend Steve Arpan, you know him from the rallycross world he's coming into race. So it's It's going to be a definite definite good big event for us and for the community as a whole. So yeah, we. Looking forward to that one, we're got to take.

"To the down thirty radio show, powered by palatis razor like to welcome my, my good friend. Steve Arpan to the line. Steve man. Welcome. Welcome to the show. I guess out in Charlotte. You boys about a month ago. I think you're getting ready for for the big a Rx season kickoff. And now we're in full swing man. How's everything going? Doing good men doing good and hey the way you came to visit us back back when you were in Charlotte, Brigham beard. The guys shelf working lake get loaded up. You're, you're more than welcome back, anytime you want, I can promise. That'll be my thing from now on, I'll show for the shop of the case of beer, and then I'll be welcome, then we'll be like hanging out at least he brings us beer. Right. You know he's. We'll get you lazy and everything. Right. Pop center in the shop for you. If you keep on keep those trends up to do that is a done deal. You know what actually happened is all just move in? And I'll bring one of those k- greater refrigerators, the Kagan there's something we'll just we'll just have a tap going or something. Oh boy. Productivity will probably be a little bit there. But hey where easy. Yeah. Well, you don't as funny because like I've been to your shop a couple times. Now when I go back there, like, I think a lot of people don't realize, like I think they see TV they see Steve Arpan driver owner. I don't think they understand like, what it takes to be a driver owner in motor sport. I mean, I'm I'm not just talking NASCAR or anything like man. You are wearing multiple hats out the day. I know man, it was like it was like ten thirty at night, and you're having a problem with a semi, and you're, you're making calls like in the middle of the night to try and get the same role into go to test, like, I don't think people realize on a daily basis, what you're going through. I mean today, you've probably already been on two dozen phone calls. I know you've changed a flight. I just don't think people understand. Steve Arpan schedule. It's crazy. It's but I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world and to be fair, as much I think mine is crazy. All my guys are in the same boat. So we're, we're a small team. It's not just me that wears multiple hats, that's every guy on this team. So we've got we've got Karl Goodman, who's who's are leading to near and, and he needs scrubbed toilets scope to shaggy, our heads have guy. He's he jumps into every aspect of the team. Well, also, it's my no means just me, but it's it's small small team. It's a it's a challenge that I think you left, it around ten thirtyish and it was two thirty in the morning that night when I got outta here the with the running truck, we got it fixed. So that was a good thing. And then we're back on the road by back on the road by seven o'clock the next morning. So it's a it's a challenge. It's fun. But I tell you what when we have weekends we started middle high. Oh, and makes every ounce of it worthwhile to build to be such a competitive team with go. Going up against the powerhouses that we are is pretty awesome. What I think that's you know, to me, that's the big thing with. They are ex like I don't think people realize, I think a lot of people outside looking in. They look at the entry numbers, you know, and they see all seven seven and supercar and I look at that and I'm like, yeah, but all seven of those teams are capable of taking win wins. All you know like to me it's a it's a quality over quantity type thing right now. Like I mean for you guys to get to podiums there. I mean I look at the people who worked on the podium at co Patrik Tanner Faust. Like I mean you know, I'm looking at the guys that did wing time. VW hasn't been on the podium in rally cross worldwide. Yeah, it's, it's just crazy. You know. But I think like you know, I look at that, like you were talking about that. I'm like, I you know, obviously you would love to be on the top of the boxer or had Travis there on the top of the box. But dude, I mean like you know, you guys have to be fired up to be able to have both your cars on the podium in the opening round. I mean, you know, obviously the only way this could have went better. I guess as to finish one and two. But I think at this point two and three guys will take it. Absolutely no. It was the cars are strong. The most encouraging part of the holy was the fact that we are two and three in the code EM knowing that there's so much more room for us to, to make improvement. So we're really excited to keep on tune in this package. Keep on working the, the guy that was the first time the guy's really got to go out running the car. So we had one today tests before that. And the majority of that was just working out a little bugs and everything. So now that we can kinda just tick step back. Relax couple of depressed. And it's like all right. What can we do fine-tune this package? I think we're just gonna get better and better going forward here. Well in that'd be and said you switch the package this year. I mean you know, in the year previously, I believe you running now what the focus RS in now you've gone back to the correct. I mean stiff car this year. So when you've run in the past, but it's not it's not like you had all of last year's development work and stuff going into it, right. This is this is I guess, a new old car is at the easiest way to say it. So it's kind of a hybrid, which, which is really cool. And it's something that there's a lot of people that didn't think was possible, Bill to get done and, and our boys here figured it out. So pretty, pretty trout from put my t- Menderes head on pretty, pretty proud to, to see what their -ccomplish, but so. Yeah. Back in the back in the year. See days. We ran the, the Ford fiestas the SAT's. And then when we switched over to Iraq's important up of the union bunch, we switched over to the focus RS Rx. And with that being said, the focus had had its positives for sure. But it also headed challenges with the size and everything and fiesta, if yes to have had a lot of positive itself. But it just so happened that the negatives of this yesterday, or the positives of the focus, so with a little bit of help from Ford and, and a lot of a lot of pulling hair out and everything from our team. We're able to take that. Engine package electron stack, and so much of the running gear from the focus and transplant that into the esta so essentially have like a hybrid fiestas T kinda Rene's nearby lumber motorsports. And we're just just so thrilled without turned out so thrilled that, that were able to accomplish it in the in the nicotine. Thank god. We had long off season this year to get it all done. But yeah, it's, it's pretty excited in talking about that. I mean, I think the platform. Right. It's, it's a here smaller than the focus one. Like you know how how's that use a driver? I mean, obviously you were in the fiesta, you went to the focus now you back to the like, do you have to change your driving style bit the cars. I gotta think drive. You know quite a bit differently. Yeah. Well, honestly, it's a big part of it is just the suspension geometry. So there's definitely a big change from the size ten fully. But the, the focus was was a double Eram style suspension. The yes to the strap. So, so they drive drive completely differently just from from the geometry standpoint. And so, yeah, there's definitely a change and habits and how you drive and the tendencies that cars like and everything. So, so it's a little bit of a Justin back to that. But honestly, the drive so nice the drive so good like the, the Proops and Trump speak like he jumped in and it's like it's, it's, it's not by accident he drove himself in earned his way onto the podium. The first race out. He the, the kids, a hell of driver. But the guys put a hell of a p Sundram as well to, to make it happen. Yeah. You know, and obviously, I think a lot of people, you know, listen this show. No, who equally is just from offroad circles. And, you know, obviously now they are ex and things like that. But yeah, two car team man. I mean you know, things weren't busy enough for you on your own. I know you brought in block, and now you've got obviously p coy racing with you. I mean, I guess it's I don't know doesn't make it easier. I don't wanna say easier when you're doing two cars, but I mean, I guess if you're doing one like the second car isn't quite as bad to run. Right. I mean you know as far as you know as load on the team and things like that. Honestly, the biggest thing so like a car, expensive run, right? Like from from the business aspect. It's running to is has been running expenses. I one does from a team aspect and the and productivity standpoint the amount of data it's like even going to at the first racing in Ohio there, there's parts of the track that, that were my strengths and Travis is weaknesses and vice versa. There's parts of the track that Travis is really good at struggling that. And just to share that data between the cars and really, really examined really kind of educate yourself and, and pick apart each and every lap and, and how to how to how to just capitalize on every single. Is crucial and back when I against the VW's who are team hem teammates to compare that to two and super who has a fleet of cars comparing data. It makes it tough. So having having teammate is one thing having the right teammate like like Travis and his whole family and his crew that they bring with him is crucial, and we couldn't be more thrilled with that partnership. And we'll be back with more with Steve Arpan when we return to the down and dirty radio show powered by police razor right after this break. The sound of sports out of the race. Dr. The sound of your vehicle. Don't drive around listening to drive around listening to the sound of performance Gibson.

Just small town kid from Arizona, people, actually listening to me, and other parts of the country and actually no no what's going on. What I'm doing. It's kind of kind of crazy to me. Really? But yeah, thank you guys. Once again, kicking off our number two. So I guess the way our number two is going to work here is, you know what we're gonna do. "By dirt Fisher high school in the down and dirty radio show. We did this amazing Email Zine. Hopefully you guys love it. I think you're going to man. Tune in this show by now, you are a rally cross fan. So I'm definitely looking forward to this weekend. The big kickoff. I know they got a TV package, CVS sports kind of Arizona delay. But man, you know, Scott speed going over to Subaru rally team USA ten or fosback. We get some young guns Kevin Bingham. Travis p coy Steve Arpan a man he is back in action as well. This is going to be it's going to be an interesting. A new year, you know, and especially with the Volkswagen's, I know Andretti dare with Volkswagen, but kind of a works type relationship with those Volkswagen now not necessarily a factory team. Scott speed you know reigning champ. He's now a Subaru consume brew finally get the monkey off their back when a rally cross championship. It is to be determined. And now we're going to know a lot after this weekend. Looking forward to it. I will. I'm going to try and be live, tweeting and stuff like that and following along, but should be an epic epic weekend rallycross racing. So I would love to hear from you guys had to that one at Jim beaver fifteen let me know. But speaking of that, obviously, you know, rally rally racing we had a big big big race happening over the weekend, in Oregon trail rally David Higgins narrowly edging out. Travis Pastrana for the w I think David, you know, he's one nine out of last ten events at Oregon trail rally crazy insane that somebody can be that dominant at an event, it's mind blowing. Anyway, we'll talk a lot about rally the next couple of segments power ranking. And then Tiffany stone once again at beaver fifteen on social media. Chime in when we get into these power rankings would love to hear from you guys anyways, we're gonna take a short break. "And yes, welcome back to the down and dirty radio show. Power by Polaris razor just started. And you know it was what a crazy crazy weekend of racing. Indy. Five hundred did not disappoint. Probably one of the best Indy five hundred. I've seen in a long time. Alex Rossi driving, like a man possessed. Absolutely possessed, a heartbreaker for him at the end, you know, me, I was I was pulling for Rossy comes on the show a lot. Right. You gotta pull for you, buddy. But that's not taking anything away from the month of may this, I've and passionate had just an amazing amazing time you can sweep the month of may at Indy. Qualifying the pole win the five hundred win the GP man, that is that is a magical month of may and we'll power data last year. Right. And there's some with these Penske drivers but yeah, just a crazy crazy Indy five hundred. We're gonna break down that race and talk about it in our power ranking segment this week. And man, just lots of stuff happening in the world of offroad, obviously, I was out at the general tire Arkan fifty kickoff to the coq six hundred weekend. And I know Manziel, tires investment into NASCAR, you know, and the, the series outside of Cup xfinity and trucks crazy, man. I know a lot of people say, oh, they've kind of pulled back from offroad while I don't see him pulled back from offer owed. Obviously, they've got some marquee tells desert racing Marquis towns and short course. But men, they are moving and shaking and NASCAR world. And you got Charlotte Motor Speedway. See that big general tire banner on the backstretch, and then you see it painted in the grass there, right in front of the stands, like man general tire definitely making things happen in the world, and ask are going to be really. Really interesting to see what the future holds for, for that relationship and stock cars in general tires. But right now man, there I it's always it's always a blessing to be able to go out there and see what they're doing things. Everybody who tuned into our, our takeover their social media accounts, Twitter, Instagram, Facebook man, we were rocking it there last week and Ingo back, check out some of the posts that we threw up. But yeah, crazy crazy time out there and big thanks to Chris Leoni for flying in helping me out, got to go and hang out with my boy. Steve Arpan and his race shop. You know, he just announced his new program, obviously racing, we can block again at nitro, but Arpan will be holding down and they make they've got Travis peak like coming in to. We'll, we'll one of the cars CD coming on as a sponsor, Steve Arpan. It's always fun to go to his shop. See how things operate, see what he's doing. Another out testing and big announcements coming out of the Arpan camp. So yeah, definitely going to be interesting. I know we're only a couple of weeks away from the air X kickoff, America's rallycross, so look. Looking forward to looking forward to seeing how this year shapes up with the grid. Looks like drivers and things like that. I think you know, it's a series it's just getting its foothold and kind of finding its way some really, really excited to see your number two of a are exigency, you know, what's in store for us with that series so yeah, it's man. There's so much talk about Baath five hundred. Coming up, obviously big news coming out of Lucas oil. The track their Wieland's, man. It was tornado came through whip through in mangled, everything there in wheat lands at that facility. So I know there's a big course of incoming up. We haven't got a lot of news out of Lucas oil on. What's to come with that, you know, without event, it's going to be cancelled it's going to be moved or what but yeah. And that was a big story. You know, they, you know that silly lace host to a bunch of different things. Not just short course drag boats, and various other series late model. So, you know, it's definitely a definitely a tough tough, you know, road ahead. But thoughts going out to everybody there, we Lund's. But I know I've been getting pinged a lot. Hey, jimmy. What's the deal on that track? What's the deal in that race? And I know I'm slated to call the livestream foreign. I honestly I'm just telling you guys. I don't know right now. So I soon as I do know I will let you guys know, but it's been kind of a big story, and I've been getting hit with a lot of messages. And I absolutely just don't know what's. To come with without event. So soon, as I know I will let you guys know what's, what's going on out there with, with wheat, but Crandon before that I'm stoked to be heading to Crandon here in a couple of weeks to kick off the mid west, of course season, so I will be calling the livestream for that. And if you're there on site, you know, I guess alive stuff as well. So lots lots coming up in the month of June, obviously Bah five hundred upon us. I know a lot of my friends down there. Bob pre running right now wanted to get off road driver on. But chances of that happening are slim to none. When everybody's in boss. So, yeah. Big weekend upon us coming off a big big weekend back to back just crazy. Got dirt fish, Oregon trail rally coming up as well and just all kinds of stuff cranking. So definitely looking forward to this next weekend in racing and what's to come, but yeah, we are going to take a short break here. And when we come back, then Chris Leoni he's going to be holding. It down lockdown down with me on power rankings, and we got a big expanded segment. You want us to dissect what happened this past week in motor sports. It's coming right at you right now on the Downunder thirty radio show, powered by police razor right after this break. Jim.

"Up ten blocks there he ran well. Hold on. Hold on. Hold on hold while. I was at Kim blocks place just day before yesterday. Yeah. Yeah. Ken was there in Iran? Very well. When one of the focuses that he and Steve Arpan half. So he must have made a quick trip from Texas back to what was it, Colorado. No uta. Well, anyway, the hooligan the hooligan shop in Utah in Salt Lake City Cananea Park City. Awesome beautiful shop, I mean to tell you what. And I got a couple of pictures in there. And I was wondering why it was kind of you know, vacant there weren't too many cars in there. And the reason why they must've been must've been trailing in bag, but I'll tell you can is a big star. He's got a reputation as being kind of gruff. But man, I've seen him several times stand there and sign autographs for hours and hours. They did the same thing in Texas. So, you know, he's a genuine star even though Scott speed is running for Milan. He's a big star to a lot of guys from Europe for big stars. But Ken block the guy with the longest line for autographs to him for for driving. Got a two car Ford. Focus team that Ford is not really ready to backup. Lately, they're giving them some help out the back door with parts, and and technology, and that sort of thing, but not really sure what's going to happen. Next year. They're trying to put a schedule of five or six races together. One of them up in your area in Seattle. Somewhere up there around the Dirk fish rally cross school, which would be great and probably starting the season again in Montreal during the winter because they've got a place in Troy there that is covered and they're going to bring in some ice and race rally cross in when it's freezing outside inside. It'll be a little bit warmer, but the relic rush guys may be racing on ice. And that's enough of reason for me to go to Canada in the middle of winter. If they do that that's going to be a great great way to kick off the season. Nice. Well, I, you know, rally crosses fun. I think with the the the waning audience of NASCAR and open wheel racing. Maybe, you know, the younger audience kind of leaning into this little more because they they can all see themselves possibly being a driver of that ilk. Someday in it's not as intense, and they're using the reason recognizable cars like the the the Subaru WRX like the focus, you know, cars that that people younger demographic can. Can recognize and actually buy and the last time we were circuit Americans. I got a ride with Travis Pastrana who was racing with Subaru. So let's a guy who you know. He's he's one of my absolute favorite people. He had just done that evil knievel jump show. And you know, he he's still just as as modest and humble and as much fun to be around it. He was when he was a kid. So I really I'm really hoping rela crisis gonna can make a comeback in US because it is a lot of fun to watch. And I agree with you on that. This question any news anything going on in the NASCAR? After France got that DUI is there any been any fallout from that. I just haven't talked to you about that. A while is a he pled not guilty. We haven't heard anything else from him. And they promoted a guy named Steve Phelps to where he's now president of NASCAR. Which probably helps us a good guy might have been much choice. But I think we've seen the last of Brian France, you know, he doesn't own any of NASCAR he really had been pretty hands. The last year or so I don't think he's gotta be hurting for money. So I don't think he's gonna make a comeback at the level. We've seen before it's a shame for NASCAR. Because.

"B. dirt fish that fifteen percent off their at dirt fish rally school. Now we will be talking a lot of Nitra rallycross coming up Travis Pastrana which was about two weeks ago or we can half ago. But now we're going to talk about world are acts as well as America's rallycross. It happened at KOTA this past weekend, and I gotta tell you you'll Hong Cristoffersen wrapped up his title with the with the season still in play Johan Kristoffersen. He is your current, your current champion while he's the newly crowned champion for world rallycross with. Two hundred eighty one points. You know, Matisse extra sitting there to four, so big shot to Christoffersen. He also won there at circuit of the Americas Pedic sober, finishing up in second. My good friend injuries, backward third lobe, Matijas extra and Timi Hansen round out your top six there in world Rx, but looking at America's rallycross running there at coda. It was Tanner fouls with victory, Scott speed. Second, Steve Arpan in third Topi, hiking in or Tomas, hiking in driving for Subaru rally team USA stoked to see him behind the wheel. There. He finished up in fourth Patrik Sandell fifth, Ken block in six that rounds out your top six in the main event there at Austin, Scott speed, taking away that championship, then looking at a Rx, two also known as lights. It was Connor Martell from dirt fish taking the victory, but Alex keys in the first main event, taking the win. Connor tell second Scott Anderson in third also in a dirt fished backed ride. And then a Rx two day to it was Alex keys. Connor are Frazier McConnell and Christian Brooks one, two and three there in the second final of the weekend. But it was all Connor Martell walking away with the season championship and it's only matter time I think for we see him behind the wheel of supercar, but we are going to take a short break when we return Travis Pastrana going to join us here on the down and dirty radio show powered by Polaris razor. Anytime teepee is on the air. You don't wanna miss it and such is the case today..

"It includes two car head to head racing. We haven't seen to car racing, and I don't know since like x. games years ago in LA. Right. So the way this is going to work. We'll have to ask Patrick about this because maybe he knows a little more, but the opening rounds instead of being like GRC or rally cross. A lot of American rallycross fans know where you have a bunch of cars, y'all fight for position. You go head to head, right? So you're only battling against one of the team, but in this case is not necessarily winner, moves on, loser goes home. This winter moves on, but depending on your time in second place, you could definitely move in as well as your faster than some of the other guys. So you know you've got that and then you know in the you've got, I guess, to drivers also in the LC q. will join top six in the overall in the semi-finals, and then you've got like, I don't know, crazy, lap counts, stuff like that. It's, I don't know. Travis Pastrana nitro circus are shaking things up in this event will not disappoint. I. I don't know how the racing is going to be, but I can guarantee you, there will be carnage if you're looking for highs, there's going to be plenty of them. Right? I mean, there's going to be Hannigan. There's going to be broken cars. There's going to be flipped cars. There's going to be red cards. There's going to be destroyed cars is they're going to be good racing most likely, but you're gonna see some Carney jazz well, and what do you watch rallycross. Four. Right. We can all be open about this. We watch for the bump and bang. That's what you watch rally cross for. Right. It's action packed. It's it's action sports like Travis Pastrana said, man, it is motocross with four wheels. You know, these rallycross guys go into corners elbows out, right? They're banging their bumping and I know talking with Steve Arpan you know, he said that was one of the biggest things. You know, he's one of the top guys now. He says he struggled for year two, took him a while race NASCAR, and he's like, you had to protect your Queant in NASCAR. You didn't bump into each other. You may rubbed a little bit. He's like rally cross. You have to drive aggressive. You have to sacrifice the car at times. You have to bump it. Bang. It destroy fenders. He's like, that's what was tough for me was learning that I had to drive the car. You know what I mean? Like I stole it drive like you stole it in. That's what rallycross is. Arpan was wide open with me up front said, hey, man, this is this is just the way this event in the sport is, and it took me while the figure that out, you know, and the guys who figured it out Scott speeds. Another one obvious. He's got really good equipment to, but you know, Scott, he came from open wheel racing, man. It was. He's had to Justice driving style. So yeah, that is going down this weekend. We had to. We had to talk about it because man, it is. It has been. It's been a while coming for something like this, you know on these guys get a chance at gold, right? The guys missed out, like Ken block, miss out on gold at x games. He's always, it's always alluded him. He gets another chance at gold medal. Now it is a nitro gold medal, but still go medal. Right? So there's that. So it's going to be broadcast live on the velocity TV network. Have no idea what channel that is, but it will also be on the Motor Trend apps. He can stream it on your phone, your ipad, I guess you computer, whatever. So motorist app, it'll be on velocity TV. So definitely looking forward to tune into that. I, you know, I gotta say knowing Kim block, he's gotta. He's gotta be my pick rolling into this event. I think I think he is my Katie is my pick. We're going to going to roll KB for this one. I think it should be should be interesting should definitely definitely be entertaining. I think he wants a metal pretty bad, so can be watching. For him. So. All right, we're gonna take a break. We come back. We.

"I guess it's. America's rallycross lights are a Rx to, I don't know. I think years. He kinda coined the terms and it's kind of they're just going to be called what they're going gonna be called. People understand what I say supercar, but current points, Scott speed up front, ten thousand second, Patrick sin del in the third spot in his Subaru. And then Kim block in fourth Suber, excuse me, Volkswagen and dreading continued their dominance there. And you know, there's been a lot of worlwide talk around vis Volkswagen Andrey. They've been dominating rally cross. The past couple of years obviously can block is done solid when he's competed here in the states would year see now with a Rx. And you know, same goes for Steve Arpan. There's spin a handful of drivers that have show you know that have competed, but you know with Volkswagen, but they've just been so consistent. It's it's hard to break that, you know. And so I know what the beetle talk about the this generation beetle going away as Volkswagen going to remain. They've got, you know, different things that need funded in other areas of the company globally. Just all kinds of turmoil. You know, and it's like with, you know, with this new TV packages and quite as good as won, the g. r. c. had, it's like, are they going to stay around? And most I can say at this point is I haven't heard one reason why they are leaving yet. I haven't heard they're leaving. So this is all just, I think, fan created rumors at this point, but. As far as I know Andretti sticking with rallycross I don't. You know. I know they were big part of helping make this new America's rallycross happened in Volkswagen, so don't see why they would check out first year. So, but anyways, points leader, Scott speed terrifies, Patrick Sandile one, two, three. Then you've got block Atkinson and Steve Arpan top six looking at a Rx to Connemara Ilma boy, Connor walking away with another victory in lights. You gotta wonder when Mr. Qatar Martell is going to make his supercar debut. It's got to becoming this kid next year. I'm saying in twenty nine hundred kids gonna be willing to supercar for somebody somewhere in the world. He's that good. He's continued to just win. And at some point you can only win so much in lights until somebody goes, you know, we just got throw this kid and supercar and it's to that point. It was like Mitchell the young. He just dominated, you know. It's some point you gotta be thrown in, you know, and and I think that's going to happen, but he took another victory. He's your coin, current points leader in lights or air x. to it's called in America's rallycross Christian Brooks second, James Rimmer in third in the points. But then this was a joint event with the world rally cross and looking at world row across it was Johan Kristoffersen taking a victory Tim Hansen second, and Sebastian Loeb. In third, it was extra Pedder Solberg and. Rounding out your top five there and Pederson other one man. We've never had him on the show. I know Petr follow each other in social media. I need to get better on on. You know when I go to world Rx in in circuit America's, that's for sure. Looking at points right now, world are exits Christoffersen out front lobe. Second tied with handsome with one hundred forty points in backwards Solberg one point behind them. So second through what second through fifth place, only one point separates them and then you look back at six place and he's only six points back total. So it's crazy bananas happening, but Christofferson just been dominant so far in twenty twenty eighteen. So yeah, that was kind of what happened up there in Canada. Obviously we got Nitra world games and we've got world Rx there at KOTA for America's rallycross. Those are those are coming up on the Americas, rallycross schedule. So definitely looking forward to those and we've got a few stage rally events coming up as well. We've got what is it? The one they're in Minnesota, absolutely love that Jiddah Fourche rally that one's coming up. They're hearing about two weeks, I think so I don't lots of racing coming up in the rally world, but we're going to take a short break. And when we come back, we're gonna be talking some silly seasons of rumors taking some questions, so you let me know what you wanna talk about here on the down and dirty radio show powered by Polaris razor. You want extreme performance, reliability,.

"Dirt fish that'll get you fifteen percent off any and all classes at Fisher. Our school boy's Antra Brown, Steve Torrens just up there over the weekend, having a absolute blast. I talk with both of them as soon as they got done and. Man, those guys are glowing ear to ear. It's just crazy. You know what? Dirt fish. What Dir fish can do for any drivers to put it doesn't even matter. You're disciplined, you know, everybody can take something away from fish, so always always fun to send guys like that up there and then and then talked him directly afterwards and find out what they thought because it's always always same story. But you know, just different wording, it's it's to fund. But yeah, getting to rally, you know, one of the big ones. This, you're one of the big off season news, I guess was you know this new America's rallycross as we all know, Redbook global rallycross for one reason or another. Got plenty of stories on it. It went away and so you know, left avoid. And I think a lot of teams like Steve Arpan and Subaru run in what what are we going to do here? So they teamed up with with the world rallycross championship and FIA. I am g kind of run things over there for rallycross Rx and such. But they teamed up with them put together America's rallycross, had the opening ground there at circuit of the Americas, amazing facility. They're running now at not opening around into circular, opening North American round. They actually have the opening round at SilverStone than their aunt at coda. They're up there in Canada. Now there's going to be around it the Nitra world games. I don't know if it's public or not yet. Like Steve Arpan, everybody's talking about it, but I haven't seen a press release. It's like what in the world, like if this is still a secret that America's rally Cross's running with Nitra world games. It is the worst kept secret in all of motorsports, like seriously. I haven't seen a press release on it. It's not on the website. It's not on the calendar, but it's happening. I'm telling you it's happening. So Nitra world games and then they're around and things up with coda, tiny with the world rallycross event there at circuit of the Americas. I will be on site that's into September. So it's gonna be RAD. I mean, world rallycross America's rallycross all be there doing radio interviews and such with with teams. So, yeah, I mean, hit me up if. You guys plan on going out. I know there's actually a lot of old GRC fans are going to go. I will be there. No, I won't be on the Mike. I won't be doing TV or anything. I'll just be there hanging out having a good time enjoying it and doing some driver interviews. I know I gotta catch Petter Solberg at some point. My boy Andre has backward. I, I got a circle back with him, have talked to him in years. So lots and lots of guys I need to catch up with that. I haven't in a long time, but yes, that's going on, but I don't know. This is kind of a rebuilding year for rallycross in the US. GRC. It kinda taken things in one direction and built it up. And you know. Especially socially in the media content that they're producing top notch. And now this is restarting, right? This GRC five years ago starting from the ground floor. So you know, I, it's, I know if you fans. I've had a lot of people, hey, where do I tune in? How do I watch you? Gotta follow him on Facebook post up and father, social feeds, and keep in the loop following grows and things like that or get easier to find the information. But a, yeah, they were up there in Canada are running at trae rivers in Quebec. One of the big, the big ones was jock Villaneuva Formula one world champion. He's in Indy five hundred champion. He came and was racing four Subaru rally team USA, massive news. Anytime you get jock villa, new behind the wheel of a car. It's it's big news, especially in Canada, so jock Villeneuve. He was competing up there for Subaru did not didn't make it out of the semis. It doesn't look like, but ended up your your top three were Scott speed Tanner Faust than Mr. Ken. Block one to three, and then you're current points there for supercar. I still call supercar what they're calling him..
