Nuggets take Suns, NFL draft
"Or AP sports I'm get cool and emphatic start to the Western Conference semifinals in Denver correspondent Bruce Morton reports. The nuggets thumped Phoenix one 25 one O 7. Denver gained separation in the second quarter led 68 51 at the break and kept its distance. The nuggets Jamal Murray was game high with 34 points. We're gonna keep doing what we're doing, keep proving everybody wrong and just taking one game at a time. Other NBA news, 76ers center, Joel embiid is doubtful with a right knee sprain from Monday's series opener in Boston. Stanley Cup playoffs, John Tavares scored four 35 into overtime to give the Maple Leafs their first playoff series win in 19 years with a two one game 6 win over the lightning. But in saying that, I think we just did a good job of staying within finding ways to win. Also in the east, the rangers forced a game 7 with a 5 two win over the Devils in the west, the oilers eliminated the kings with a 5 four game 6 win. Day three of the NFL Draft, the LA rams drafted two time national title winning Georgia quarterback stetson Bennett in the fourth round. I love competing against the best and, you know, it helps when you got the best on your team. And I think we do. The rams also made Toledo defensive linemen, Dez Juan Johnson, mister irrelevant, with the 259th and final pick. Major League Baseball, the Padres slugged 6 home runs during a Mexico City series game that featured 11 total homers in a 1611 route of the Giants. San Diego manager bob Melvin across the board are bats were really good today. You know, you get the ball in the air and we have some guys that can do that. Other animal results, the pirates swept a double header and the brewers, D backs, Phillies, Dodgers, Marlins, and reds were winners. In the AL, the Orioles and tigers split a double header, while the rays Blue Jays rangers Red Sox and royals were also victorious. And finally, Yankees captain Aaron judges being evaluated for a mild hip strain and the rangers placed ace Jacob de Grom on the 15 day IL with Wright elbow inflammation. I'm geffen kuba for AP sports.

"I don't know how good they are. You go back with fields in Haskins. Down through the list here. Is CJ Stroud different. And why is he being overlooked when it comes to? We talked about Bryce young. We talked about will, miss Anthony Richardson. We talked about stetson Bennett more than CJ's job. What are we missing here? We're missing a lot. I think he's the second best quarterback in this draft, and he really might be one B to Bryce young's one a. I mean, like I said, the size is there. His best game, as you mentioned, Dan was against Georgia, a historically great defense, and he showed all the things that we said he couldn't do. You know, the knock on him at Ohio State for two years was not only does he not run. I mean, there are times he just flat out would not run. It looks like it was something he did not even care to try to do. But then you play Georgia, which is a great defense. And he's running. He's rolling out. He's scrambling. He's making all these plays with his legs and his arm. So I think he showed a part of his game that was there, but just not being used. The same thing happened to Justin Herbert coming out of Oregon. People compared him to Joe burrow into and said he doesn't run. He doesn't use his legs. And then you find out that the Oregon staff didn't want him to run and use his legs because he was too valuable. They didn't want him taking hits that he didn't have to. It makes me think CJ straps can be a similar situation where once he's in the NFL, we're going to get opened up and do more things. So everyone does, everybody wants to scout the helmet and say, Ohio State quarterbacks. Michigan didn't have a great run of quarterbacks before Tom Brady. LSU didn't have a great run of quarterbacks before Joe burrow. Texas tech, that's Patrick Mahomes. There's cliff Kingsbury wasn't great in the NFL. There's always going to be that the person that breaks the cycle. And I do think CJ Stroud has the arm talent. We've seen now the mobility. He definitely has the football IQ. He throws the best ball of any of these quarterbacks. And his workout Saturday night in Indianapolis was one of the better throwing workouts I've ever seen at the combine. I mean, it was a show as much as Anthony Richardson's vertical jump at 40 were a show. CJ Stroud's actual throwing of the football was I think just impressive. What did the bear's going to do up top? And they're telling everybody who will listen, they'll trade, they probably trade you guys the pick right now if you call them and offered enough. So Alfred ritzy did the bears. They might trade it. They want to. I thought it was really interesting that woke up Monday morning and Peter king had a piece on the bears trading, and Albert breer had a piece on the bear trading. Everybody talked to Ryan polz and Indianapolis. And he told everyone the same thing. They really want to trade that pick.

"There was a comment at one time about a receiver. He does. I think he was Chris quarter. All he does is catch touchdowns. And when it comes to sense of being at all, he does is win games. And he seems to be tough in the fourth quarter. Now, I just wanted your opinion on how you think he's going to do in the NFL, sir. Yes, I think that is easily one of the bigger question marks. I don't think NFL scouts are obsessing over it. And I don't mean this disrespectful to ban it, but I don't think he really figures high in their plans, but I don't think anybody knows what to make out of him. I mean, we are the experts are finding over, obviously, Bryce, young, will love it, Anthony Richardson. And I don't hear anyone talking about stetson Bennett. Well, and to a degree, quite frankly, I agree with you, but you know, I was southern coach said one time there's them what wins and them what don't. He just seems like a winner to me and I just feel like he's got a chance, but I know you've got a little bit more perspective than I do. Well, I think, I mean, I've had people who argue to the death of how good he is, and then that came up during the Heisman conversation, but I don't think it matters really in terms of draft stock because I don't think he's going to go high enough. I just think if he gets with the right team that has a coach that can understand and if he finds the right locale, I think he'll be successful, but there is no guarantee of that based on what I hear. Hey, thank you for the call. Jacob is in Alabama. You're on the air. Hello, Jacob. Hey, mister Paul fam. How are you today? We are well. Thank you. Hey, I know you guys were talking about coaching counters and whatnot. And I just wanted to call and say you've one that we had down in auburn, Alabama. We were going to school down there and we got back from a ball game one night. We went back to the trailer park and we had a little fire going and we looked up one of our buddies was missing and long and behold, here you don't fold up with that die and it gets out of the truck. We had them at the ball game and that diet had picked them up on the side of the road and brought him to our House and he hung around the fire for a little while and he had him a couple of whisky and hanging out with it. It was just, it was really neat. And I wanted to call him. You know, Cenk, if you're talking about right there, one of the most unassuming people I've ever known and I would say of all the coaches that I've known in my career, I would put

"I had a few things to go over. Obviously, the NFL combined weekend and everybody loves Anthony Richardson from Florida. And he's got 7 weeks for his stock to fall. Because that's what happens. They build you up, and then they tear you down. And it depends on how close you get to the draft. Here he is, almost at the top of the mountaintop here. And what could be the next step here? Probably where people start to pick apart his tape. But he went out and did what people thought he was going to do. He could run and jump and throw. He could do everything. But it always brings me back to didn't have a great completion percentage and had a hard time being the starting quarterback for Florida. I guess weird you look at stetson Bennett junior the fourth and his career at Georgia. He doesn't have a lot of athleticism might be sneaky athletic, but he knew how to play the position with what they wanted him to do in Georgia. Anthony Richardson, if you saw those two together, it'd be like Schwarzenegger and Danny DeVito and twins. You'd go, who's that guy? Is that your agent? No, no, no. He won a couple of national titles at Georgia. But Anthony Richardson, not sneaky athletic, just plain athletic, but the NFL combine over the weekend. And once again, when you were listening to the combine, it did sound like the Westminster dog show. And here's Peter's kronski. He's offensive lineman, and here's a black and white picture of him, and that's when he's a baby, and holding him is none other than Vince Lombardi. And he's got great hips, and with a name like scrunchie, he would probably perform well in Green Bay or Chicago. And that's a four 9 40. All right, next up. Here's the rest of the offensive lineman class. Here they go. Let's bring out the dachshunds. All time for the terriers. 8 7 7 three DP show email address DP at Dan Patrick dot com. That's my final four, by the way. By the way. You'll be able to sign up for the celebrity bracket challenge that you can compete with celebrities that we have in our celebrity bracket challenge. I don't know what celebrities are in the celebrity bracket challenge. Todd has been working on that for a couple of weeks now. I can share some of those names here. Okay, we'll give us a little sampling there. Will Ferrell Brian Cranston, Darius Rucker? Three shockers so far. Yeah. Josh Duhamel? Dale Earnhardt junior, Kirk Cousins involved. Okay. Connor McDavid, how about that? Our friend smoky who loves his Michigan state Spartans. Brendan hunt from our favorite Jason Sudeikis soccer show. That is called Ted Las lasso? Yeah. Have you seen? I have seen a few episodes. You have seen Ted. So Jason comes back on. I don't need to give it extra boost. I don't know if you've seen Ted Lanza. I did. I shared a few episodes. Okay. George Brett? Have you looked at this list? No. So some of the people who are invited. I'm not saying whether they're in or not. It's fascinating. That we, according to this list, we actually sent an email and asked some of these people if they wanted to be there. Give me an idea. I know that Michael Douglas has been in the bracket challenge before. I think two years in a row. At some point in the last couple of weeks, you know, this person's agent, well, Nicolas Cage's agent went up to him and said, hey, would you like to be a part of this March Madness tournament? Nicolas Cage. Okay. And his answer was, he's unavailable, but really appreciates the invitations. How can you be available to fill out a bracket? This one's out of the country. The other ones, he's just unable to participate. Who else? So Nicolas Cage is a no. Mila Kunis. She's invited. Well, why not? Because Ashton Kutcher has been part of the program before. It was a little side connection. Okay, did you ask Ashton Kutcher? I don't think I did. I just went with why would you ask Mila Kunis? She's more fun. Kutcher knows the show. I went off the board a little bit. It would make more sense to invite Ashton himself. He's been an actual guest on the show. Margot Robbie, she was invited. And she said what? I haven't heard back before. Okay. So it's not a no. It's not enough. Okay. All right, Kenan Thompson. Why not? Zendaya asked? Sure. Okay. I think I got a note saying did you ask Drew Barrymore? I did. And Leslie Mann's going to try to shuffle some things around. She just may not be able to get the bracketed in time by next Wednesday the 15th. Well, why don't you ask her husband? Judd Apatow. Another one who's been an actual guest. We've had him. Will you stop going for the women? I'm trying to get more of the ladies here. I know it's you being creepy and don't do that. Adriana Lima. Did you like college basketball? I thought I saw that somewhere. Did you ask giselle? Why not? I don't know. What did you draw the line where you go, well, I'm going to ask Mila Kunis. As names popped into my head, I was like, you know what? That would be fun. It did ask joy behar though. Joy behar got the invite. Okay, enjoy said what? I have not heard back from joy. All right. Or Megan Fox, which disappoints me. What about Meghan Markle? Meghan Markle would be good. The princes, maybe they can do one together, but they're not really on speaking terms. Yes. There are a few guys that we'd love to have on there that's Keith Morrison from dateline has been invited. Okay. Brendan Fraser, the actor? LL Cool J asked? Henry Winkler? Why not? Jay-Z was asked, Paul Rudd, likeable Polaroid? Okay. Mister chesney's on tour right now so it may be difficult. Kenny chesney is on tour. Okay. Did you call him chasny? Did I call him Jasmine? Jimmy Kimmel was asked, David Letterman, Stephen Colbert, but not Jimmy Fallon, who. Jimmy Fallon has had me on his show before he's one of the nicest guys in the world. Well, get one out to. Oh my God. How about questlove? Didn't request that, but I did do a boogie with the hoodie if I'm parasite that right. I didn't invite him. He's supposed to be a big deal. He was featured at a sporting event I was out there with showed him in the front row. Boogie with the hoodie. Marvin, are you up on the boogie with the hoodie? A boogie with the hoodie. Hey boogie. The king of New York. Come on, guys. All right, so all right. I'd like that you're sending out some invitations. That's a work in progress. But get the guy on. Natalie Morales. Ally Morales. Yeah. Hey now. I think fritzi put together like 50 guys names just so you could ask the 21 Nicolas Cage is by far my favorite. I love that so much. Why not prince Harry? Let's americanize him. You know, we'll promote the book, but he lives in the United States. You've got to fill out a bracket, Harry. Haven't heard from max homa just yet. On the golfer? Yeah. Doctor Rahman, how about why don't you reach onto Jordan Spieth? He's been on the show how many times? It's been a while though. He actually recently played well yesterday. It had been a while though. Well, we were like best buddies with them. I know. But I don't understand why you don't follow up with the people who have been part of the show. "A good question for Kirby smart, but it's not germane to the issue about back to Georgia for a second. If Jalen Carter was still on the team, what would Kirby smart have done? He's no longer a part of the team. It really doesn't matter any longer. Let's talk to Jeb next in Georgia. Hello, hello, Jeb. I heard crickets there. How about James up next? James, good afternoon. Okay, okay. James, you there? I'll tell you what, my batting average isn't very, isn't very good today. Dale is up next in Colorado. Hello, Dale. How you doing? We're doing great. Thank you. Okay, so Paul, the only thing that I want to really say about this is everybody's talking about how Kirby smarts is step up and say this or say that. Okay, so one is, what is Kirby's supposed to say? He's not their father. He's their coach. I understand that, you know, it's just a culture and all that, but I mean, if you guys seen the video the day of all the Georgia players in edge order Watson notice Smith and all that, cheering for him, and all that, that's the culture at Georgia. Kirby has no control over his players. You know what I'm saying? And first of all, Stephen and jaylee Carter was not on the team. It's time of this. When this happened. Okay, so I agree with you on that. I think what's happened to Jalen Carter, especially stetson Bennett's arrest is completely irrelevant to Kirby smart. The jailing Carter thinks only relevant because it involved an active player, but you're right. Once you leave the program, I mean, nobody asked Nick Saban, you know, what he was going to do about Henry ruggs a year and a half ago. He was already gone. Exactly. And I want to make one more comment and I love legend. Don't get me wrong. I love him to death. And he wants to talk about booboo, well, hopefully Alabama can face a boo boo and when we push our down and scan yard need, I will have a boo boo. Elvis has died on the toilet. Frank is in Connecticut. Hey, Frank. Hi, Paul. How are you? Thank you for taking my call. Thank you. Well, I have a quick comment or two on the Jalen situation. It appears to me that he's been charged for the same offense as more than once. That's pretty much what everybody's saying. So there's a real character issue of having to do it. Let me jump in quickly. I don't think he would, I don't think he was ticketed for the speeding in earlier in the year. Oh, he wasn't. Okay. That's clear. By the way, he should have been. And had he been I doubt he would have done it again. Yeah, that's what I'm saying. It's just that there was nothing zeroed in on that. No, I think he is, he's gone from he may be okay if he does a good interviews too. He's got Jalen Carter now has a lot of problems ahead. Oh, that was my other short comment. I was going to say, if I wasn't alone or if any of those NFL franchises were getting involved in those interview rooms at the combine, the first AI has asked them is that look a little of your background in recent problems if we get in there, what are we going to expect that we're going to find your car wrapped around the tree three days after you get signed? So you're right. I think he's got more problems coming. Well, Frank, it depends, it's the age old issue. Everyone thinks they can rehabilitate someone else, including an NFL club. The fact that this is already out may help him, I think beyond the speeding, it's, I don't know how to I don't know how to characterize it, misleading, lying. I mean, if you don't tell the truth, you're lying. Especially when there's intent. Misleading is saying, hey, I had a burger for lunch when I actually had burger and fries.

"Hey, doing great, Paul, and I was afraid when I said the Tommy Reese hire there at Alabama, killed the Nick Saban dynasty. I didn't know if I was ever welcome back on this show. So I appreciate the invite. That's okay. Before we get to football, and I definitely want to get there because there's a lot to digest. What has been your reaction to this Alabama sago with the entire basketball program now being literally obliterated by many in the national media? Yeah, I mean, heavy topic obviously to open with here, Paul, and this is just one of those where I make a conscious decision never to rush to judgment. I know that's easy to do to go out there and give your two cents on what Alabama should have done, what Brandon Miller should have done. I think I've been listening to you all week and the opinions very wildly depending on a call guest to guess, this is just a subject where I honestly don't feel comfortable without having all the information weighing in on it. So I'm just on the sidelines. I don't blame you, by the way. I wish I had I wish I wish we had talked before the week began. Michael, let me get to. The Florida situation because I realized coaches come and go and NFL presents opportunities, but if you're not paying close attention or if you are, it looks bad that three coaches have left. What do you make out of it all? Well, I think I can sum up Billy Napier's season hidden into year two, Vanderbilt at home is a must win situation. So, I mean, that's essentially as dire as it gets for a coach that came in with much fanfare and apparently turned down many high profile SEC jobs and it's not a good look. Obviously, we got spring practice a week away Paul, so it's almost like a rush to get some of these coaches in here. You expect that year two jump. Now you're gonna have to be doing it with a new defensive coordinator and a guy that while Alabama was pretty fired up to get Austin Armstrong. About a year older than stetson Bennett, maybe a couple of years older than that, but I mean, I'm just left shaking my head here, Paul, because I think we have to reset the expectations now 4 billion AP are going into year two, and that's the last thing Florida fans want to hear, particularly with Georgia dominating the sport, Tennessee and South Carolina seemingly on the rise. I mean, I think making a bowl game will be something that should be celebrated a 6 and 6 type season, but that's clearly not why you brought Billy Napier in here. No, no, and this is university of Florida, which even after a couple of bad seasons still looked at itself as Alabama. I mean, you know the fan base, Michael, they don't settle for anything. Right. And here's something Paul. I don't know if you realize it, I've not heard it on your show, but the NFL scouting combined. That's not a total indication of what overall talent you had, but Alabama leads the country. Georgia's right on their heels number two, Florida is actually third most of all SEC programs. I think they're sending 9 players to the scouting combine, including Anthony Richardson, who some for some reason have pegged as the first overall pick in the draft. I'm not buying that, but just the fact that they have 9, maybe even ten NFL caliber players where they had that many, and yet we went 6 and 6 last season. That's somewhat of a damning statement on Billy Napier and the roster turnover and obviously now the coaching turnover. That's why I think we need to kind of pump the brakes on expectations unless you got urban Meyer coming back to town. I don't know how this gets fixed overnight. This may be a three or four year rebuild and I don't know if that's what the Gators need to hear want to hear, but that's what they need to hear right now. By the way, you may be right. And I think they have been remarkably patient, but it's also February. So patients goes a lot farther in the off season. Let me get to the Alabama situation because they were excited when they got Armstrong from southern mist. They thought that was a really big time higher for Nick Saban, a young coach on the defensive side of the ball. He's already gone. You rarely see that happened to Nick Saban, give us some thoughts on that coaching stuff. I know I know you alluded to it a few weeks ago, but tell us more. Yeah, well, the fact that correct me if I'm wrong, Paul, but Nick Saban had an open defensive coordinator position to fill this off season and Armstrong was not the higher. I know he got the co title, but that's just purely for title's sake. I mean, he was a position coach. So I don't know if I'd be doing cartwheels if I'm the Florida Gators that we hired this 29 year old. I mean, he may be the next Nick Saban for all I know, but the fact that more turnover, again, for Alabama, I just think it's laughable, Paul, some of these scholars you've had on your show, which I respect them greatly. They're throwing dirt on Georgia's grave for bringing back Mike Bobo when they hired Tommy Reese, who I can't find a single reason to celebrate Tommy Reese over Mike Bobo, I think Georgia comes out miles ahead in that exchange, and then you're bringing back Kevin Steele, who I got a great respect for Kevin Steele has been in the SEC for decades, but I mean, Miami's defense was God awful. The entire program down there was awful. So I don't know that he's the answer. He's just going to be running what Nick Saban wants run just like Pete Golding did. And we ran him out of town and blamed him for all our woes when we all know Nick Saban is in charge of the defense down there so I don't see much changing for Alabama and I don't care how many number one recruiting classes they sign down there. They signed the number one class two years ago, Paul and the vast majority of that class is either exited or not made any impact whatsoever for the program.

"Passion and pageantry of college football lives here. This is the Paul finebaum show best of podcast. Welcome back a lot happening this hour with check in with NATO to a little bit later on, big game tomorrow against Tennessee. Number one team in the country, but first, the big news of this day in the SEC and that's the departure of the two time national championship winning offensive coordinator at the university of Georgia Todd munch and heading to the ravens and the NFL and Seth Emerson joining us right now to give us the latest chef. Thanks for the time. Good afternoon. Appreciate you being here. Tell us what this means to Kirby smart as he attempts to win a three peat. How are you? Well, thanks. Paul, for having me on. Hope you're doing well. It kind of gives us a fresh angle for 2023, already knew that Georgia would be working in a new quarterback, how do you replace stetson Bennett? And now how do you replace Todd munken? We do know who the new offensive coordinator will be and that's Mike bogo. I kind of thought that was what was going to happen all along. And it's good, Paul. I was a little worried that the discourse around here would be a little too just stable after winning two rings. Stetson Bennett discourse happened for three years and he settled that at the end. Pretty much nobody holding out on whether he's a very good quarterback and now we've got a Mike Bobo discourse to go back to and act like it's 2012 and 2013 all over again. And he kind of settled the issue Bobo did back in 2014 and he guided the all time highest scoring offense in Georgia history, but since then, especially with the way things went in South Carolina and then auburn when he was back in the SEC as a coordinator kind of gotten some grist for the mill. Mike Mike Bobo doubters again. So this will be this will be a lot more interesting year, Paul. I checked in with somebody that knows Bobo Riley and I said, what's up with this guy? Because I remembered when he had a good reputation, but working in South Carolina and obviously for Brian harsh and the damage to that as well as the Colorado state head coaching experience. So what should Georgia fans expect from Mike Bobo? Well, I wrote a column today and I think there's a lot of people that are either remembering the early years of Bobo at Georgia and reming that too much without accounting for how well the offense was rolling by the time he left. And then there's people also looking at the auburn and South Carolina experiences. Look, Oliver and 2021 was a dumpster fire. South Carolina kind of was too. In both that case, must champ got fired during the year in Brooklyn to the actually being an interim coach. He did not have the talent on those two teams that he will have at Georgia. He also will have more talent now than he did at Georgia the first time around. Now there was talent there, but go back and look at the players and where they went to the NFL on those 2012, 1314 teams. You've got your chubs and Michelle's and girlies, David Andrews starting center with patriots. But not as many as are going to be on next year's offense. He also except for one year at Georgia in 2011. Never had a defense, like he's going to you expect him to have to lean on at Georgia. That was one of the great failings. One of the reasons that Mark Rick was never able to close the deal is he hardly ever had the offense in the defense really good at the same time. And for the last few years, it was basically the defense. Pulling them back. And Mike bubble's offense doing well. So I think that's what Kirby smart is banking on. And I also think that Kirby smart is banking on that they're going to run the Todd munchkin system. Mike Bobo watched Todd munchkin do it all this past year. And I bet Todd monkey was consulted on the way out by Kirby smart. And probably told him, I think Mike Bobo contributed a lot this year as an analyst and you should seriously consider him if not to be crazy not to hire him. Speaking of monkey, was it inevitable that he was going back to the NFL? He'd been there before and he seemed like his name was linked to a lot of jobs. Yeah, yeah. And I think he only interviewed two places, Tampa Bay, it just was Brady leaving Todd Bowles, not on firm ground next year, they're up against it on the cap. I don't think monkey was that interested there. But I think he was interested in the ravens, I mean, obviously he was very interested in them. But it was interested in them regardless of whether Lamar Jackson will be back there. John Harbaugh is seem to be much more stable there. Ravens are just kind of a stable organization in general. And I think Todd munk and a lot of coaches that go NFL to college, they discover that they have a lot more on their plate in college. The recruiting and all other facets that come with it, make it a real 52 week job. Now you get maybe a couple of weeks total here and there. But the NFL, you got more off time. And you can just coach basically. I mean, you have to do some draft evaluation and more teams are bringing their coaches into the drafts valuation process. But you do have a whole scouting department and personnel department. There's just a lot more on the plate for college coaches and I think Todd munchkin was ready to go back. I think he was happy to be at Georgia. I think it helped burnish his reputation again after a year at Cleveland in 2019 where he honestly wasn't even a play caller, but it didn't end well for him there. So he wasn't getting NFL offensive coordinator nibbles at that point, but he did it at Georgia. He won two rings and I think he's happy to go back to the NFL, which is less of a brand. Seth, before we change subjects, everyone's picking Georgia to win understandably with the success and the talent. But as somebody who's around that program every day and maybe see things, the rest of us don't. Are we on the right track here? Should Georgia definitely be the pick to win it all? I mean, I guess people are now in the mode of let's not give Kirby smart any reason to twist our words into we are doubting Georgia. Because there are pre season number three last year and yet it turned into everyone was doubting us. And nobody picked us to make the playoffs, even though many, many people picked them to make the playoffs. There's still going to be a lot of talent on this team, but when you're around the team every day, you do see the potential flaws. So is Carson Beck, if he wins the starting quarterback job is he a winner? The same way that stetson Bennett proved to be.

"Let's head down to Washington, D.C. world of national news with Amy Mars. Thank you, Paul, and one of its first acts as majority party in the House Republicans voted to repeal billions of dollars of funding from the IRS about $80 billion in place to help taxpayers and catch tax cheats. The congressional budget office says cutting those funds is actually going to cost the government more money, $114 billion more because of the additional revenue that will not be generated by the audits. At this point, the legislation is designed to send more of a message than anything else and will be a bargaining chip for raising the debt ceiling and funding the federal government, it will likely die once it reaches the Senate, and if it does make it to President Biden's desk, he's already said he'll veto it. Newly sworn in, Republican congressman George Santos previously admitted to fabricating much of his life story, now he's being accused of breaking campaign finance laws. Sara of gauche of the campaign legal center filed a complaint against Santos telling CBS News, that complaint filed with the federal election commission alleges the possibility of a foreign actor funding Santos campaign. That possibilities doubly the case here because as we know mister Santos is wanted by Brazilian authorities. So he has some connection overseas. Gauche also questions how Santos made a $700,000 contribution to his own campaign considering he reported earning only about $50,000 a year. "Number one is a number 11 Kentucky at number one Georgia. It's a huge game. Two ranked SEC teams. I worry that this is a game where Georgia could slip up. I think Georgia wins this game personally, but there's always an opportunity here for an upset or an overconfident Georgia team number one in the country, maybe it's overconfident against a number 11 Kentucky team. There's also a bit of a quarterback controversy in Georgia right now stetson Bennett or JD Daniels. A lot of people are saying hey, it makes sense for I even said this. It makes sense at this point for sets and Benton to maybe be the starting quarterback long term at Georgia. But it's too undefeated teams both are 6 and O can number one Georgia stay undefeated. Game number two, UCF Central Florida at number three Cincinnati. If Cincinnati wins out, there will likely getting into the college football playoff can Cincinnati stand defeated. They should win this game, but and I love Cincinnati's quarterback Desmond Ritter, but it'll be interesting, can Cincinnati their problem is can they avoid complacency? Every week you have to take care of business and dominate your opponent and sometimes everyone has a bad game at some point. And Cincinnati more so than every other team in the top ten Cincinnati can not have a loss. They can not afford it. They can not slip up at all. How about number 12 Oklahoma state at number 25, Texas. Last week, Texas lost to Oklahoma by one score. And then somehow, Oklahoma, I got ranked. The number four team in the nation, meanwhile, Texas got put at number 25. If I was texted, I would feel mad. I'd be like, what? What? How was there a 21 point ranking difference between us and the team we barely lost to? So I believe in angry, Texas team goes, I guess plays at home and dominates this weekend over Oklahoma.
