Bahrain GP: Lewis Hamilton wins opener
"Race day in bahrain. I'm what an unbelievable season opener took the win. After griffin bassil to the very last lap against smacks stephon. It was a race filled with action. Overtaking and crucial strategy. 'cause we retreated to batu throughout the failed impressive drives from the likes of landowners. I'm sergio perez. Meanwhile elsewhere the day didn't go quite to plan with. Dns finicky to mazar pin on fernando alonzo contact with guiseley which ultimately ruined his race. Another tough day for sebastian battle. He finishes the day with a ten second penalty and five penalty points on his licence.

"Nothing better to do during a pandemic than listened to some new tunes. Some stuff you've been wanting to listen to and haven't had the chance to. Thank you for having me on Sure i miss getting to play live shows at all but i definitely miss coming to the greater chicago. Area man there some of the best rock and roll fans in the country right there. Yeah it's always a great seen a great show whenever whenever. There's a live concert here in chicago whether it's a small club theater or arena it it just has an atmosphere that is like no other. It's really cool. I agree man I've been coming to chicago since the early days of brother cane We could have first. Album outweigh back in ninety three and straightaway man chicago and northern illinois radio in general. They really embrace this. And i feel like it's a relationship that i've been really fortunate to have for gosh man crazy number thirty years ago long time and you have some connection here too in chicago. I know steph from f three design. I think he does your local man. Stephon stephan does everything. He's yeah steffen. I think the first thing he did for me was help me. Get my website design in early two thousands and then Bizmart work for me. On my i guess my second solo album which was in a stick record and then when he has started warns. The arm in You know i've been a proud supporter of their clothing company and i love awareness stuff and they're just they're to of my favorite people on the planet. They're like family to us. Yeah i've known stephan for gosh. It's gotta be two decades three decades almost and i used to live with this rock band in chicago and he used to do. They're designed to as well in all their kind of marketing in and You know other kind kinda website and designing stuff. And i've known him so i run into him at shows like him and i always like bump into each other like. Hey man what's going on so it's always good to see him. That's amazing you've known him longer than i have. So that's That's really cool. And i'm i'm so proud of the growth. They've had their company and They're both incredibly talented. And it's inspiring you know for them to start their own kind of mom and pop business as they as they have and they grown it to the level that they have. I'm really proud to be a part of their circle. Well we got lots to get into but we always begin the episode. Every time we have a first time guest the same way and that's the essence of the show. The the question. We always ask just like every rock song has a hook. That sucks you in rock fan has a moment whether it's a band performance a song or album that hook them on rock and roll. What was it for you. Wow that's a big question The thing that hooked me on rock and roll was. I saw kiss on the midnight special on my television. When i was in the seventh grade and i it was the equivalent. I'm sure jay of our older friends. When they saw the beatles on ed sullivan that was the equivalent of that moment for me. No one's ever asked me that question to tell you the truth You know. I grew up my my folks to this day man. Both my parents love music and so it was a very musical household. The radio was always playing in. Dad would buy vinyl records of perjury artists pop artists and but yeah that was when i felt like it was something that was specifically mind. You know my parents not care for kids. They played black diamond complete with this. You know the rising drum riser in the pyro and everything manages your that. Messed me up preordained. I think it put me on the path for sure. Your kiss was an inspiration for a lot of musicians. And i think it was just the the imagery you know the the faces and the explosions and all the stuff. That kind of just pulled you in you know. The music was great too. But it just had like this power over young kids. I mean i got exposed to kiss back in like the early eighties. And i always remember knowing of them in knowing what they look like before i heard their music and then i heard their music and then i was just hooked. Yeah you know. I you know. I'm i'm probably a little older than you. So you know that midnight. Special show man that would have been nineteen seventy seven grow. This was this was early. This was. I believe this was between kiss alive. One destroyer and You know it was cool. Because i had a group of friends at school that you know we were all kind of discovering rock and roll at the same time and i remember that year in school that no kid and leonard skinner. I'm from the south. And so you know sweet home. Alabama was already the national anthem for us. And so you know the musicality of a ban like skinner We love led zeppelin and You know not long after that. We really got into bands like rush pink. Floyd bad company was big call. Rogers greatest singer of all time. You know things like that. So that set the table for me. I guess jay and then the two big bands not long after that you know when i finally started going to concerts where we saw thin lizzy. Ironically i saw them in seventy nine and that was a game changer for me and The the next summer. I saw van halen for the first time and i was cooked like that's it. I'm i gonna play guitar. You know. I have friends who go to college and get a degree and and and pursued that actually and it wasn't until i had already graduated junior college that i really ever thought of even considering it to be possible to play music as living especially for women coming from such rural backgrounds. There was nobody from where i came from. That was a professional musician. You know so. It just didn't seem possible.
What the Patriots can learn from the BIlls' QB strategy
"Talk About That quarterback position because I think you know alot of patriot sales again, and I keep saying this but they don't like it when we point out at the bills rebuilding strategy is working in that the Patriots could learn something from Buffalo. So what are we going to learn from Buffalo? You know, they haven't won anything in twenty years, right? It's like no no, no. No, this is a great case study by Brandon Beane and Sean McDermott M how to put a Young quarterback in the perfect situation to succeed. Especially Young quarterback and Josh Allen who let's face. It was a high ceiling, you know, low floor type of prospect at very high bus potential if it didn't go to the right direction in Buffalo. So I looked at back at that 2018 draft. They actually traded up twice for Josh Allen's pick at seventh overall from Twenty-One wage. Because they made that playoffs or Tyrod Taylor, right? Was that the year? Yeah, so they made the playoffs with Tyrod Taylor Sweet in as a wild-card team. Then they were picking 21st. They traded up from 21 to 12 and then 12 to sneak in to get their guide Josh Allen, but I actually think more so and we can talk a little bit about Allen's development to more so than Allen's individual development. Would McDermott and being did to you know, make sure the offensive line to add Cole Beasley and Stephon Diggs and put Josh Allen in this perfect kind of offense for his skill-set with Brian table. That's really I think as much about what we've seen from Josh Allen's growth is anything in that sort of speaks to the team building process of the whole thing.
Stephon Gilmore Suffers Knee Injury Vs. Miami Dolphins
"Other games. Of course, the New England Patriots have it this. They've been officially eliminated from the playoffs for the first time since 2000 and eight after 22 to 12 lost the Miami Dolphins Pats, also losing reigning NFL defensive player of the year cornerbacks defined Gilmore with what is thought to be a serious knee injury.
Patriots at Dolphins: Alain Poupart breaks down Miami's running game
"The Houston was really the only team I would say that actually through on the Patriots effectively this year and DeShaun Watson besides Russell Wilson all the way back in week two thousand. I am curious, you know, the Dolphins do they have a running game. Do you think that they can do that with because I don't see it, but I don't want to I don't want to be biased over here. Either way. I mean, there are 30 second in the league in rushing yards per attempt. They were missing their top three rushing leaders last Sunday against the Chiefs. What's a be perfectly blunt? None of them are impact players Matt breida came off the covid-19. Wednesday obviously he'll be back. When he hasn't made much of an impact after coming over from the 49ers in the in the trade Myles Gaskin is on the Cove in list and he's a nice story as a second-year seventh-round pick who laughs basically got a cup of coffee in terms of playing time this year and he basically became their feature back and he's got some ability. But in a in an Ideal World Cup gasket is your backup is now your future back in this is what the Dolphins are dealing with our offensive line. Also a good story much better than was last year. They're starting three rookies with Austin Jackson am handsome in kinloch. but when you start three rookies pretty much ninety-nine percent of the time you're going to go through some growing pains and their offensive line while again exponentially better than what last year is still not great. Let's say it's worked in like but they're not a whole lot of big old being open in the running game and you don't have running backs off will make a lot of things happen on their own. So there's a reason again there there are thirty-second in the NFL in rushing yards per attempt and complicating matters. This week is they have injury issue is that wide receiver position where they also have a lot of players but not a whole lot of impact players. So you mentioned might get sick you earlier I believe and now he's got a shoulder injury where we can't get any Clarity from Ryan Flores as to his status for this week. It's all we'll see is working on all that. But if you saw the injury really really hard to Envision him playing cards Devante Port Parker pulled a hamstring or had a hamstring injury against the Chiefs you came out in the first app did not return. He practiced on a limited basis Wednesday, so hopefully play it but then if he plays this carrying a hamstring injury. And then so who else do you have left after that now you're looking at your team Grant who is more of a return specialist and and then their shuttle pass receiver gadget Play type of player on offense. He's also got a hamstring injury that knocked him out of Chiefs game. And then the rest of the wide receiver Corps is rookie limbo Junior who played multiple positions at Kentucky. You have a Mack Hollins who want to sign as a special-teams standout, which he is. He's very going to special teams but more so than the receiver and then you have one of the guys being talked up being able to make a major contribution as Isaiah Ford who you may remember from his three weeks with the Patriots after the acquired immune to trade in his office. I knew he was he didn't play it down for the Patriots. I knew how long is not going to last year when he got up here and he said it is freezing. I need a winter coat, you know, what am I going to do? And I just said look, I'm sure he's a fine football player. I'm sure he could make an impact on the team that needs wide receiver help but this guy does not seem like he wants to be in New England right now. Well, no, but he plays at Virginia Tech. So I'm so he's not like dead. He's from Jacksonville plant in Virginia tag, so it's not like he's not he's never been the call before and the thing about Isaiah Ford and then it was often friends are thinking. Well, Isaiah Ford is going to come and rescue the the passing game and that like life. He's a really really really nice good. And he might be in the league for ten years because he's got a great attitude. He works hard doesn't see anything. He's not an impact player. And right now this is what they have their wide receiver Corps. If she doesn't play they have nobody who's going to really scare the Patriots defense and if you you throughout the city also doesn't play. I mean who makes things happen on this office on Sunday? So that that's a big
Stephon Gilmore Got Very Close To Patrick Mahomes After Patriots-Chiefs Game
"I had to open up the show talking about the NFL and Covic how and when are they going to get their act together? We might have some more cancellations this upcoming Sunday. Stefan Gilmore test positive. The Titans Cory Davis test positive, but Titans don't know how to follow the rules they even looks like went to a school to practice. After their own facility was shut down. And by the way, Stefan Gilmour, who did he say hi to On Monday night Football. Face to face after the loss. He got up close and personal to Patrick Mahomes. Patrick Mahomes. I mean, this is what Patrick Mahomes had to say about coming in close contact with Stefan Gilmore Monday night. It up too much of a game and just get in the high five. Like I would. I've done my whole career and not thinking about. It was a little bit of a mental lapse just going to be so sportsmanship and stuff like that, But I mean, I feel like the protocols in place. They're good, and I'm trusting that where my mask do whatever rigging them say and then then just trust and we don't all know what what's happening in this world this time, But just to accept the challenge every single day of being On the best place. I could be to be available for the team. Yeah, more mental lapses like that will lead to a complete disaster this NFL season and not just from the players but from the teams in the league itself.
Boston - Stephon Gilmore Tests Positive For COVID; Patriots Cancel Practice
"Is falling we had what everyone probably could have expected was going to happen, which is a positive test involving a member of the New England Patriots following up the two positive tests. They had late last week or earlier a few days ago with Cam Newton and and and after that Bill Murray practice squad d e l it's Stephon Gilmore who tests positive on a well actually tested positive on Tuesday. Everyone found out about it on Wednesday when you received a second test and now we have a full-blown cold crisis on our hands involving the Patriots and possibly the rest of the NFL in addition to this you had two more positive test with the Titans who are complete mess right now and at risk of missing their second straight game And you have a positive test with the Raiders. So this is starting to fall apart Dragon. It's not really a surprise to you or to anyone know, you know, look John we talked about before and and going into the Patriots game. I thought it was I thought it was completely stupid that they played the game against the Chiefs that they force-fed it down everyone's throats because we just I didn't know what could happen. I mean we knew that if people were contagious but asymptomatic like, you know, you you are at risk for something like this. So now not only do you have the Patriots dealing with something but something could happen with the Chiefs. I mean everybody's putting out there on Twitter, you know, Stephon Gilmore shaking hands getting real close with Patrick Mahomes after the game. I mean, that's just great. I mean, let's just let's just like the whole season on fire. I mean this is this is what we talked about. This is why I thought it was completely stupid that they ran that game down everyone's throat, which if they just said, you know, what wage We don't know what's going on. We we don't we don't know how this is going to spread. Let's just be careful for now. And let's just add a week 18 on and move Chiefs Patriots. Then give them a whole two weeks. Keep people quarantine all that stuff just to be safe because what we really don't want to have happen is two of our Marquee franchises to call become, you know, just on fire with this stuff and that's what we're getting right now. And it's just it was totally avoidable. It's it's a shame and now now we don't know what's going to happen because really we are now getting to a Tipping Point in the NFL that this could spiral out of control and could cost the season and what's amazing is again. It's a surprise to no-one but A way to have saved this off was to do the obvious thing and cancel this game and what we know as as far as the facts are concerned sure. You can't necessarily tie Gilmore directly to Newton wage, but the fact remains that he was reportedly one of the 20 players who had close contact with Newton as late as Friday and therefore placed on a separate plane flew off Kansas City with twenty other players in a plane. That's not great. Okay, and then they played a game and he's all up in Mahomes Grill after shaking his hands and then they fly home on a plane where the air circulation is, not terrific here. So that's what you've created. It would be stunning right now. If there weren't several other cases that pop up in a few days again, you cross your fingers after Newt and hoping all right, maybe it's isolated. But then you just invited this. So now we're looking at Practice canceled Wednesday. It looks like it's probably cancel dead. Tomorrow, I don't see any way they returned to the facilities here and this game is in Jeopardy as well as several others on the NFL slate here Greg and we throw up our hands and say what do they do now dead?
How to Build a Brand When You Aren't an Expert
"Committed to your success online. We've worked with them to a special offer just remarking school listeners. All you have to do is go to dream host dot com slash marking school to learn more and get your website online today. Welcome to another episode of Marketing School I'm Eric Su and I'm Neil Patel, and today we are going to talk about how to build a brand when you are not an expert. So a lot of people are asking US hey, how do I build a brand I'm getting into this field I'm learning law and decide you know what fake it till I make it what do I do and you have to real options the first option is you can just way and then once you get really good at it and you think you're all as quote unquote expert grew whatever you WANNA call it. Then by all means blog about it creep video content odd cast The other option and this is the one I would recommend is you don't have to get expert to build a brand you can share your journey you can share the mistakes you learn, you ensure the pros, the cost, and eventually not only will you learn what to do, what not to do your followers or the fallen that year solely attracting will also learn what to do and what not to do. But eventually as you gain more and more expensive the month over the years you'll be then seen as experts have to be expert. You don't WanNA call yourself expert to share what's working for you in that industry on what's not be super open open book you transparent So I was actually just GonNa say something similar around document your journey in the beginning when people when you maybe feel like imposter and you don't feel like you have enough to teach you don't feel like you're good enough I think happened. So a lot of people when they're starting out and I think that stops them from starting. It's also painful when people don't see results for the first two to three years or so and what I would say is a good example of this is Gary Chuck. He doesn't particularly teach as much as he just. He just had a camera guy following him around d rock and he was just documenting every part of the journey on his team chop things up and that would be sources content, and then he would realize that now he's you're saying this like I don't have to think about all the content I need to produce because just living my life I'm being me he's being very authentic to himself. So in the very beginning, is there any way you can document especially if you become really really successful and people can see from the very beginning there like Even more. It doesn't matter how crappy your video your equipment is how bad you sounded the beginning while people are going to appreciate the raw ethnic you and then they're gonna see your journey another continue to follow you because they're interested in senior story people. Dave Chapelle said people don't follow comedians because they're funny. They follow comedians because they're interesting and so how can you be interesting? You document your journey, you get stronger and stronger don't give up an I feel at that point success has given. So yeah, and what you'll find is throughout your journey. Joe Come through a lot of things that can help you become expert without you realizing as he had a bigger audience, you may be asked to be interviewed on other podcasts. He will may want to interview. You may end up doing speeches at conferences. All these things will help brand your salt and make you be seen as experts, but it doesn't happen overnight and when I look at companies like groove h q a lot of people don't know but they documented their journey and eventually became super successful Gary Banner Chuck was undoing Wine Library. TV. Back. In the day for so many years spitting wind. He wasn't like I know wind better than anyone else. He was doing a show until just telling people what they feel about. You know wine in how it tastes like I remember he was on Conan one time he's again this is how it tastes like a song with dirt try chewing Konin and stuff like that wasn't near just trying to be an expert who is more so distinct this is how it is. This is how I get to know why is this is how I relate to? Overtime people like Oh, Shit your expert. You know this? Really well, it wasn't because he's saying he's an expert he's documenting his processes tasting wine, and at the same time, other people start interviewing. Esam to speak our conference getting known. That's what really helped him up over the years as well. If you even look at Logan, Paul you look at Pudi Pie, you look at Casey Nights, lot of them. They are just kind of even Graham Stephan to he's actually Graham. Stephon Stephan Show where he reacts to things actually he teaches but the the other three people I talked about before again Casey nights that Logan Paul, these types of people they're just

I don't know what the nets would have to do to make the city of New York actually care about what they do like. I literally have no idea maybe we Kevin Durant and Kyrie you know. Then you'll have people paying any attention but it's not as though the knicks are terrible and the nets are not right like the nets are great but the nets would probably go to the play offs. The Knicks are terrible and the nets are just the other team. Nobody cares me. This is just my thought. Is there anybody that works in that operation there realizes that some people you just need to be nice to you know what I mean like? Is there anybody to recognize that? There's just some folks that you gotta treat better than that and Spike Lee and I understand that and I don't blame people who are looking at it like you'll do just go to the other elevator. Whatever it is right I get that but you don't put out no statement knocking the only dude who actually wants to come see this team right. You don't do that. You don't get into the situation with ugly because everybody here loves Charles Oakley. He is a beloved figure. You don't do this. We're Arles Oakley you just don't and you would think at some point that somebody who's in charge there would recognize. This isn't the way to put out a press statement and I feel like whoever works. Npr over there. That's a person that knows something about doing. Pr Right. That's somebody who has done this before. They know this is ridiculous. They know this is bad business. So why would they keep on doing and we all know? There's only one answer as to why it is that we keep on playing like that. If that was the case 'cause the boss told him to write bosses like no go out there and say that what spike is saying is ridiculous what you do is you go out there and say we're going to handle this with spike privately. We hate that. He has chosen to take this public. But we are going to handle this behind closed doors. That's the way that you play. The next. Don't understand how to do any of that stuff man any of it whatsoever in all they wind up doing is looking embarrassing. That's it. They embarrassed themselves at every. Turn and I was kind of thinking about this game because you're kind of had to age. You don't really have much of a recollection of the Knicks. Ever be and light good now. The only like good Knicks team. I think my memory bank is that.

I think if it's reasons first of all I I'm with gab, I think in general raise your arms in the area jumping for a bowl. And and you know, it's coming to you. But I think that we can say more specifically that decision was absolutely in line with the way it's been employed in Syria. I think but I think in Sarah it's been it's been a talking point on the season. We've seen a lot of. On via. Stephon Opio lease at the end. I actually had a great line of the end Steph Bialy who is obviously the unity manager. He said is a game where we played a little more slot VR, which it did feel like by the end of Andrea one minutes, but he also said he was slightly trying to justify the penalty his team as well. He was saying look I wouldn't have given either penalty but in Syria this season, we're giving him everything. And it's true. We all giving ambles everything and Sarah this as something that needs to be done about because I don't enjoy watching imagine every time. Not situation. Yeah. And I think it's also perjure I think in lovey guy is the most extreme. Many more extreme, but we on hitting very much money goes way. We're okay. So the issue in let's get into ties in with with law goal before we get into that. Sorry. I just wanted to go into the fact that I feel like I know that this was three three, and I know that into feel radio grieved everything that we will discuss off to IDs, but I just think that based on the type of game that we saw from Pune Dina. This is one of the most exciting brands of football that there is instead. Yeah. And this is a team that played over will. I'm interested to know. European was this one of the another great display, which is celebrity in organization from inte- was enough to obviously stifle fiorentina. But this was a game by purely by keys by Louis Marie? That was so beautiful to watch the candidates be assigned that reaches Europe are moments in this game. I've been pretty much every. Just sort of wanted. Like, I don't know clap jump out you see something fit any cookie as touch. Sometimes just makes you go off his kids something special. You know, just everything looks at it the way that they will celebrate together so much hominy moments just technical excellence..

"Stephon says the area being deforested grew by forty four percent in the year after colombia's peace deal was finalized we're talking almost three hundred sixty thousand american football fields i mean the scale deforestation is just something that nobody has ever really seen before in this region and who's responsible for felling all these trees there's two main groups that are responsible one is just average comfy see nose or rural peasants who are taking advantage of the fact that the farc aren't there to increase the land that they use for agricultural production or raising cattle but also there's been apparently individuals with a lot of economic resources who are sponsoring groups of workers to go into the most isolated reaches of the forest in just cutting down more than one hundred hectares at a time which is huge so it's basically related to this landgrab where these individuals are taking advantage of the power void to take control of land that essentially doesn't belong to anybody so bad for the environment but obviously this land represents an opportunity for cattle ranchers then doesn't it yes absolutely one guy who i visited has only a few hectares to his name in the only way that he can support his family is to cut down a few hectares more of trees in put a few cows on there in order to sell the milk because no other crops grow on the soil and so the only economic opportunity that he sees in his life is cattle ranching in the other opportunity would be to cultivate coca which is illegal so you're really describing a crisis gina take us back if you would to how the farc protected the forest in cockpit like were they environmentalist by default because people were too scared to go into the jungles or do they actually have a real strategy for environmental protection.
