And the charters in front of the five and nine Broncos, Ella, also five and nine on the year, Let's get more from Chuck Case. Thanks so much rich with 14 51 remaining in the third period. Just underway is the Chargers 13 and the Broncos zero The Chargers. Last score was with 2 43 were left in the first half. That was a Michael badly 43 yard field goal. He earlier had one from 37. The only score the day for the Chargers, eh? Nine yard touchdown pass from Justin Herbert Austin Heckler. Michael badly with the extra point and really, it's been three big plays on defense and special teams. The Chargers with Casey Hayward, picking off through lock in the end zone. On the first drive of the first half and also AH long kickoff return by Nasir Adderley and with 14 45 remaining in the third period. It is the Broncos with the football to start the second half. The Chargers 13. The Bronco zero All right, Spin a low scoring affair in Seattle, where the Rams have lead over the Seahawks. But Seattle trying to at least tie the game before the break, let's go to Neil Scott. All right, two minute warning. Two minutes to go. Second quarter Rams up 633 1st half field goals to buy the Rams won by the Seahawks. And with three minutes to go here in the second quarter sandals quandary, digs picked off Jared Goff. That was his 13th interception in the last eight games auction Now in Ram's territory, Rams wide receiver Cooper cut by the way has five. Third down receptions is a total of six catches on the afternoon. 49 yards. We get two minutes to go first Half Ram six, Seahawks three. All right, thank you very much. Neil and the zoo surprisingly low scoring game Jordan, I did not Did not expect this and from the from the Rams and Seahawks so far North tonight to see your defense is certainly gotten better from winter came, which was on pace to be one of the worst defenses in the history of the National Football League. Theoden Shin have Dunlap and getting Adam's back from injury has been key to their turnaround. But, um, I thought the Rams could move the ball a little bit more, and I thought to see you. Would move it against the Ram D. And that has just not been the case here in the first place. No, absolutely not. And we have two other games going on right now. And at the half the Panthers of a 20 to 3 lead over the Washington football team. Dwayne Haskins finishes that first half six of 15 36 yards. Two interceptions and fumble doesn't get much worse than that. Well, they should have someone warming in the bullpen. Let's put it that way right now. It's Z interesting job, because if you go back to the days when we did I on college football if you might remember we once actually, we had a couple times we had Mike McIntyre on and Mike McIntyre had a very good season in Colorado before. Ultimately, things started going south. And, of course, Stephen Montez was one of the quarterbacks. For that team, and they use two quarterbacks. But Montez had come on because of injuries but really had a great arm and, you know, prototypical quarterback size and I remember finding out the story of how he got the Colorado and he was a lightly recruited player. Just because he was in Ah, place in Texas, where you might not look for high school football player, and Jim Jeffcoat, who was the former cowboy defensive lineman and great pass rusher was recruiting a player somewhere. In the vicinity. I don't remember how close it was to Stephen Montas, his hometown, but he was asking. Hey, you know who are some good players around here while I'm here? I could go. Scott Mason, while the best player in the in the the county or area Whatever is this kid Steven Montas. You better go look at him. And he said, You know, most of those kids were about 5, ft. Six. And Here comes Stephen Montas, who's you know over 16 at the time and throwing into 40 Mile an hour winds and dust. You know those those Texas sandstorms, and he says, he's throwing the ball like he's throwing bullets, and he's like, you know, he's saying calls Mike McIntyre and says, Look, we gotta We gotta get the quarterback coach here because you know, I've I'm not a quarterback guy, but he's alive, chased a lot of them to know that this kid can play and there he is. So he is the third quarterback today, so I don't think he'll see the field. But, hey, you never know. But in the meantime, let's get let's get back to the games at hand and let's head to Dallas, which been a good one so far between the Eagles and the Cowboys. Here's Bob Stevens. What the two minute mark it around happened. Eagles lead the Cowboys. 17 13 Dallas that they're 31 Eagles jumped out to a 14 story lead after one Cowboys scored 10 unanswered points. In a second to get to within 14 13. But the Eagles just answered back on a 38 yard field goal by joke. Elliot was caught the 55 yard drive. They play in that drive of the 23 are cast from Jalen Hurts, too. Thomas Cottage Hospital game is seven for 1253 yards and a touchdown. That touchdown was an 81 yard bomb to the Sean Jackson, who is back after missing seven games with an ankle injury and comes up with that big play it for Jackson as the 25th career catch of 60 yards or Which is a medical record one of the Cowboys. Alden is nine for Chuck Down 11 for 15. Now 171 guards that have touched down that was a touchdown to Michael Gallop. And then Greg Zuerlein has a couple of your goals. Glass. One of 20 yards was set up by a 55 yards. Queen passed to Michael Gallop into gallop here in the first half. He has caught four passes for 95 yards. So again about a minute to go here in the first half the evil 17 the Cowboys 13. All right. Thank you very much, Bob. So four point game there and at the half in Landover Boy has been a one sided affair. Actually now, third quarter underway. Let's check in with Chris Russell. Indeed, Rich 23 as we start that second half little bit of an injury time out here. Mike Davis, who earlier had a one yard touchdown run for Carolina, was banged up. On. We're about to resume play here in just a moment. But the Carolina Panthers in a must win game for the Washington football team, a win and they would win the NFC East. It's not technically a must win because they wouldn't be eliminated. The Carolina Panthers are trashing them. 23 right now, Ron Rivera's former team, certainly taking no prisoners. They struggled early on offense, but they got their first touchdown of the day on a fumbled punt by Stephen Sin's junior that was recovered by Brandon Ville Stra in the end zone, And then they got the offense going. 10 plays old run. Drive capped off by Mike Davis. What? That one your touch that run..

I don't think we've had an illegal procedure one legal procedure call if I remember big, you're right. You know, it's clean. It's been cleaned from the standpoint, certainly no personal fouls. She never had a screen game. Exactly. A lot of possible fouls. He can hear the referees on field down here is talking about. Well, that could have been always. "Town of golden gopher one yard line to play in the third quarter. We missed to play in L Mitch who's gonna take a snap. There's was left and rolling along. The inside of the goal line was Renard Bill for a touchdown. Yeah. Just a quick throw quick out route that time rinse show is on the. Was there behind him wasn't able to make a make a play on that? So. The second passing touchdown by men Shaw. He's got twenty nine the season covers extent elitist sixteen to seven and make the buffaloes pay on a fumble by Trayvon McMillan with ten fifty six to play in the third quarter. Like Mazda for the extra points knocks that one through seven plays thirty two yards. Three thirty the time of possession. A one yard touchdown pass. From shoe to Renard bell seventeen seven. Well, this is a critical point for this buffalo football team down. And and maybe for a season Mark this. They have got to rally back here. They can't get into a chase mode with his far down. They get touchdown there. Still within striking distance you start a scoring contest race trying to keep up with this team. We're going to have problems. So this is a critical drive coaches players. Rails. We talked about the top, by the way, civil place. Thirty two yards three possession yard touchdown reception by Bernard bell from seventeen to seven. You've lost four in a row. You've got a game that up to this point has been very winnable against equality. Undoubtedly. What you let this thing. Get away to. To a very salty Utah team coming next week. Not a road game. And things really begin to build it becomes suffocating after a while the bubble is you tell by ten spine one Denver senators same day, neck back and joint pain relief. And sports injury work accidents, chronic pain and auto accidents, schedule your appointment now. Call spine one three three six seven. Well, let's see if the buffs can answer couple of team numbers here real quick Washington. State three hundred sixty four yards of offense Eighty-one Russian. So for the buffaloes. Able to muster a mere one hundred thirty eight yards of offense sixty five rushing so far for Colorado's. This is going to be an interesting series for coaches play calling for the offense of line quarterbacks. They've got to put together something here. They've got gotta have the grit to do it. The combination of things were things that have a chance to work, and they gotta make more. So he can't be guessing on this series. And they had a half time to make adjustments. And they didn't get a chance to use much of that only got to run to plays. But. They still have a. We still have a handful of adjustments, and obviously had to be made at halftime Mike Leach in a seven season forty six in thirty nine to Washington state since two thousand fifteen has got twenty four wins the pack swells that is tied for number two was over that same twenty five Stanford Washington in Washington state with twenty four I wonder if you ask people to think of Washington state was at the top of the fact well to Windsor the last three seasons not around here. There's a lot of respect for Washington state, but they have done it. And here's a kickoff Watkins get a chance to compete has number Samir side for your out. Of course, the ten the fifteen got hit down. Low a nice open field. Tackled down goes Ronnie Blackman at the eighteen yard line on special teams. Tackle by Brian dream. Well customs six yards there. Which right now, we need sixty seven yards here. You gotta make full plays. You gotta make smart mental football plays as well. Deep Saudi minister point of third cluster down by ten seventeen seven game still very much within reach. I attended the eighteen Arpaio throw a screen pass intended for the discus Chenault got deflected on the way. They're reaching up was Willie Taylor. The russian. He was way high for that thing. I don't know if it was set up or not, but the almost deflected it back to himself. Second down a tenth of the eighteen. Ten forty seven to play in the third seventeenth seven Washington state Dmitri Stanley runs over to the right there. Ovation wing right contests. Snap the hand up. He's going for the depot. Nobody would want Winfrey. Cuddled all fat around the thirty two yard line. Look like Steven was thrilled to down the right side. Nobody was out there. Incomplete pass dairy who saw the coverage. There was some miscommunication there whether it was receiver or quarterback. Stephen obviously thought there was gonna be a corner out there, and it didn't show up. So it's third down to ten the buffaloes goose egg on third downs. Oh of five thirty ten till eighteen tests. This time down the right side Winfrey. Backpedaling grab is made on the east side line across the forty pounds of the forty five yard line knocked off from behind out of bounds. A gain of twenty seven pass was all the Mark. Brought to you by local to us four gopher brag about him. Strove to a battleship. And that was one of those throws. It goes into the sort of the seem cover to between the corner who's. Down low in the safety, the time I intend to lucked out his size at tuck it Iran, straight ahead along the hash these out to the fifty yard line and get stoned right there gain of five quarterback, Stephen Montanes. I can't tell whether that was designed or not because we don't have a replay. Not that. I'm pounding a table. Second data at five hundred fifty yard line Baez. He's out of the shotgun. Hey shift on the defensive front by was a slot to the left the open sound of the formation a wing and received the battery side, right? Trayvon McMillan earliest back earlier is back to play action. Stephen took throw looks left. I it out there and it's inaudible hands viscous should Holtz. Alba coverage was Marcus drawn. He's the pointing biscuit pushing all for them. That's a healthy viscous lakes, dotted. I'm not a hundred times that was a good throw by Stephen Montas faking forgetting some play actions. Helping the offensive line out a little bit with this play action. And so he had time to make that pretty quick throw giving him a single read third down and five the Pablo's one of six towns, they converted their last week at nine thirty to play in the third quarter. The buffaloes trailing by ten seventy seven. Shotgun. He's got a slot to love looking versus slant. Lupus drops his second. The hands George Hicks. The third was held the coverage of the left lane. Well. Boy, that's too. We didn't see coming there. Well. Well, it's got to alter the way you feel about things when superman figures out he can't fly. Probably can't do everything. He's used to doing. You don't mess with you. Might be Lois lane in boulder. By Davis suite with a fair catch the twenty one yard line on nineteen to play. "Ball quarterback. Stephen Montas repack Utah players segment brought to us by Conaco. A proud sponsor of CU football. The bus fans everywhere because buffaloes are always on the go. And we support new supporting them Conaco. Choose go quarterback Stephen Montana's joining puffs at five to two and two two Pac twelve conference coming off a couple of straight losses on the road. Couple of tough games. Get your thought of where this team is that where you guys are offensively. I mean, yeah, we had a couple of tough losses. I mean, you always wish you could have played better in a game that you lost. But I mean, the reality the reality of it is that we we didn't win we lost. So we just gotta come back in and get everybody back on track and get everybody's spirits up. And just kind of get the energy back in practice, and hopefully, hopefully, work hard all this week. And hopefully, it will pay off on Saturday. The thing about it is getting people sometimes forget you played on the road hostile barbeque against two very good football teams to and guess what? Those guys are on scholarship as well. Oh, exactly exactly they they they get they get their school paid for to play football as well. And and we know that there are no slouches. So we just we we we played our hardest. We gave we gave it all of our effort that we had an tank and just just came up a little bit short. But I mean, we got we've got another week ahead of us. We got Oregon state this Saturday. So we're excited about it. We're a Pompton. We're ready to play Stephen is this goes along and your number two is used a starter. You're an upperclassmen. You're one of the leaders of this team is as time goes on the offense destroy a little bit. You sports start to put more responsibility on your shoulders. Yeah. Definitely definitely. A lot of the energy. Just offense Elise falls on my shoulder. Just because the quarterback position is naturally a leadership role. And so whenever out there on the field. I tried to do the best that I can get our guys set up in the right positions and and get everybody on the same page. And.

"As they host, Colorado. Joining us for our weekly dog talk. Former husky at NFL quarterback Damon Huard sponsored by passing time winery, David homecoming weekend a lot of alums on campus. And what should be a great afternoon for college football. Yes. In that twelve thirty start time. How awesome is that? Mark, Brunell, Chad ward, a couple of great husky is going to be inducted into the hall of fame. Just a couple of those great former players that will be home this weekend for a back when we're looking forward to against the buffaloes. Speaking of which coming up that tough law said Oregon in overtime loss. How do you expect the team to respond in a big way? No question that was a tough loss a week ago. I mean, there's no sugar coating it. Well, the toughest losses in a while. You know coming down to close game like that. But not the kids that had a great week of practice excited to be home to Colorado team coming off a tough road loss at USC either pretty banged up. So I expect a dogs to get it done here. Tomorrow afternoon running back smiles Gaskin and solve a bit banged up. But it looked like the other kids step did pretty well. Last week Kamari Pleasanton, Sean McGrew taking their place last. So we saw probably gets some playing time with them, regardless of the health of gas. Yeah. You know? I mean, those guys are banged up. And you know, kind of heard that next man up mentality. Coach Pema staff, they do a great job over the course of the airplane a lot of younger guys playing backups in key situations. Just in case you need 'em. Like this down the road. So they did some good work last week. And if they need to be called on tomorrow, moral they'll step up and get it done, Colorado. You mentioned coming up their first loss of the year that was at USC until they had been undefeated. They've got a pretty good quarterback. Tell us about the buffs, and what we can expect from Stephen Montas rest them the big athletic kid. He's definitely a lot better than he was a year ago. He's improved with his accuracy is good seeded can extend the play can make all the throws Levesque's Chenault their receivers. One of the best in the country is a bad to-. We're talking about injuries. It's just that time of year when teams get banged up. So we'll see if they'll be be ready to roll. But they do have some talented guys. And and it's quite a few points this season. Alright you'll be there with Tony castricone for the. Broadcast as you mentioned a nice twelve thirty in the afternoon. Start the way college football. He used to be Damon and gang with the huskies and Colorado coming up tomorrow on a home of the huskies. Komo news..

"They'd have had some big wins in a in the last couple of weeks. I think you look at nicks Sheryl, this test this week against greedy Williams. The corner from LSU Devon white is looks like he's going be a. Stud linebacker for the bayou Bengals as well. And then we're shod Lawrence upfront at defensive line for for LSU as well. Vanderbilt, I just watched a good amount of their game against Florida. Kyle Shurmur was a little bit up and down in that game as well. Another big test this week, Kentucky. They've got talent in all three levels that defense, you know, Jordan, Dan Jordan Jones at linebacker as the guy that intrigues me, Josh Allen. There's really you talk to people in a lot of people say, you know, he has helped himself more than any player in college football this season in terms of his NFL draft stock. He's been so productive and has come up big for the Wildcats and a number of different spots. And then that secondary, Mike Edwards at free safety, Derek baby corner. It's a senior late and group four, Kentucky. We did that the SEC preview. You mentioned just how surprise you work at how many prospects is bringing up with Kentucky. And that's shown this year. They've had a couple of big wins. They started off belief, five on the season with a couple of big wins on the road. So another good game here for Kentucky to kind of show out against Vanderbilt and then out west Colorado, quarterback Stephen Montas. He's got another chance to shine here against Washington there smarting off that loss against Oregon, this past week, but a really talented, secondary Byron Murphy. The underclassmen has gotten a lot of buzz as a first round pick the redshirt sophomore. I haven't studied him yet, so I can't speak to that. But certainly a guy who has gotten that kind of buzz is that kind of talent Taylor rap Jordan Miller's week to week now the senior corner. But Taylor app is a senior underclassmen safety to keep an eye on as well going to running backs versus linebackers going into that Clemson NC state game. You look at Travis t. n. the junior sophomore running back for the Tigers. He's a guy who runs really hard. I'm excited to see him against this NC state defensive front. They've had a lot of turnover there, but that senior linebacker the middle that defense Germain Pratt is a guy that really impressed me over the summer tough physical kid that can play all three downs. I, I like what I've seen from Pratt on Phil, this is going to be a good matchup for him in this game to watch, and then Alabama, they take on Tennessee, so Tennessee. They've got a linebacker who I believe still has another year of eligibility, and that's Darren Kirkland..

"Bum rap. I don't know what the word is. But I hear from you buff fans on a regular basis on why I'm not talking more about the Colorado buffaloes. And I think that first of all air force is like I could walk outside in see air force. So that's more our team second we have had three different boths on and what we just completed game six of the season. So I feel like we strike a good balance with the Colorado buffaloes, and please allow me to talk about the buffs on Monday. It is all over everything. Everything is over the chance for a Pac twelve title Levinsky Chenault Heisman candidacy over in wine foul swoop. Bob sloughs against USC final their third. Thirty one to twenty and it wasn't even that close. We thought. You know, this is the beauty and the curse of Twitter because LA viscous Chenault runs out of the wildcat. Just a great play. Call from from the buffs. They motioned Stephen Montana's out that got a USC player to go out with them and then immediately came in and he's like, oh, wait Chenault at quarterback. I got worried I'll him are. They snapped the ball sealed that that linebacker and Chenault just hit the hole in took it to the house, and I'm tweeting out most dynamic non quarterback in college football Heisman all this kind of stuff. Not that I ever thought that should always going to win the Heisman or was even a front runner for the Heisman. But when you when you get done with when you sift through Haskins, and and the in Cuyler Murray and these other. Quarterbacks. I think should all was the next name up on the list. Well after that things did not go that. Well. Chenault only ended up with two cares for forty six yards. He's a wide receiver though healing ended up averaging about eight yards. A catch USC jumped all over. They scored twenty one. They scored what twenty twenty eight unanswered points in that game. Stephen Montas looked pedestrian twenty six of forty seven hundred seventy yards and a pick. Although you can blame Sean all the little bit on the pick six because I get your fingertips. I got come down with it. So extremely disappointing for the Colorado buffaloes because you thought if they could get past USC, then it was all out there for them. I guess in there to. Join in the buffs misery Washington lost on Saturday as well to Oregon. So the Pac twelve title game might not look like we thought it was going to look. But yeah. They just say the we always have these with the Colorado buffaloes. Right. We have these reality checks like a couple of years ago is the Pac twelve title game. Like, we're like, oh, okay. The buffs are not quite going back as far and I'm not followed the Bob for most buffs for most of my life. But I I would never say that I was at diehard fan. So many of you have a better frame of reference than I do. But I think about when you know, Gary Parnasse coach the team with with Chris Brown and. Who is the quarterback on that team camera? But they they ended up going to the the fiesta bowl. And they play Joey Harrington in the Oregon ducks, and they got blown out by like one hundred that was kind of the reality check that year and then fast forward a couple years ago. You have the Pac twelve title game. Where like, okay like, it was a nice season for C you, but they're not they're not there on that level. And then they go the Alamo bowl. And you think maybe and then Oklahoma state was like, yeah. No. We always get these little reality checks with the Colorado buffaloes, just when we think that they're fully back. And look this team might run the table the rest of the way, they might bite. I think USC might not lose again. And we may be the boss may be on the outside looking in when it comes to Pac twelve title game. But. Disappointing loss for the buffaloes on Saturday. That is for sure the other thing I wanted mentioned briefly before Rhonda break, Emmanuel Sanders. Manual sanders. By now, you've seen it. He makes the big cat. She was ruled down at the wine gets up gets in the Cornerbacks face. You know throws his hands. And he's all gesturing and going crazy and everything and they throw a flag there. And and Emmanuel Sanders after the game said that be NFL was getting soft. But then at the same time he also took to yesterday's loss. Really personally because he thought that he was in part are responsible. And as I said going into the break. Yes. The both are correct. Emmanuel Sanders was probably getting his ear chewed off by the ram secondary the entire game to that point. And that was a massive catch. So I think that the NFL is a little bit soft when it comes to look they're grown men like Emmanuel Sanders gesturing and and getting in the guy's face like is that going to make him cry? Like, no, they're grown men. They should be able to do that. But at the same time, Emmanuel Sanders has to know better. You can you can call the guy horrible horrible things and call his mother terrible things as long as you're not gesturing as long as you say it with your helmet on. And you're not, you know, no arm movement or anything you can get away with it. Emmanuel Sanders should know better and those four points when you look at the final scoreline they would have come in handy. But here's the here's the thing beyond all of that. With Emmanuel Sanders. Case keenum was the best red zone quarterback in football last year. I intend from the sixteen should have been almost an automatic seven points. So some of you can blame Emmanuel Sanders. I certainly think he should've known better but come on. They were still in the red zone. Coming off a big play. I I don't think the penalty took away that much more momentum. But it just goes to show what the Broncos all right now. I intend from the sixteen and they can't find a way into the end zone, manual Sanders should know better but his offense should execute. It better after that penalty was called two eight six zero zero four six is the text line coming up next. We'll get to a couple of your thoughts. And also talk about the real really he Franks territory called a dad, so all we caught beatdown of air force by Colorado college to claim the pikes peak trophy for the first time message and data rates may apply..

"Kind of fun to go back here in Los Angeles. Follow who's a linebacker has got a brother. Josh follow. Plays tight end for USC, the two factors still playing catch out there. Right now ended a good chance to one may be covering the other in this ball game. Gary barnette. Mark Johnson tough or what to watch for segment between the buffs and the Trojans of USC aren't Gary tonight. What are you watching for Colorado against Southern Cal? Mark. USC is turn the ball over a couple of times, and we are due to get some turnovers especially in the secondary. I'm looking to see a secondary that flies around and comes up with their first pick of the year. We have three picks all three by linebacker. So I'm I'm I think that's the area of our defense that needs to assert itself for us to become a better football team. I'm looking for that. I'm looking for you know, we Stephen Montas leaves the country in percentage, passing percentage, seventy five point six whatever it is. That's unbelievable. He's seventy percent on third and fourth down passing. Well, he's nineteen twenty seven that is that is really a good number. Bobby can tell you that. That's a good number on third down completion percentage. So I'm looking for that number to make a difference. If he can continue those numbers that'll make a difference in this game too. From Alabama came at Stevens throwing more passengers. Alabama's so number. Well, probably how would you what are you watching for you on the on the defense side of the body? Love to see the turnovers at coaches talking about nine would like to see it happen because we're getting some pressure on this young quarterback. You should be in high school right now the kids starting for USC. So I'd like to see our our guys, you know, put some pressure on him and make him make some bad decisions. You know, I I don't mean to be a echo coach. But I just look for Stephen mantra keeps being that leader make decisions protect the football playmakers hands. And I think they'll be in good shape. Mike talked about this week at his press cowards. So it was kind of interesting you, and I were talking about five games. And you are what you are. And so I asked him about come to personality your demeanor of this team. But he says so the guy that was kind of unique to a football team. This team has got the unique ability to dial in and focused and taking care of business. But there's a looseness. Well, you've seen that we've been down there with her. I think that emanates a little bit from Stephen Montana. That's kind of the way he lives his life. A little he's got cattle that. Blase faire attitude what he's out there. And I wonder if maybe that's not part of what what we're talking about. I think so, but there are some characters on this football teacher, and you know, the the guy no one would know about Edwards is a character. That keeps it loose. Yes. I think Keady Nixon keeps it lose. Yes. Know, I think there's a number of guys on football team that keep it loose. And they're sort of a loose guy. You know, I think the thing that doesn't I think I heard Brian talk about it. The other thing about this team. I think has shown his teams that very well prepared. I think in every game is played and that's a credit to the coaches the players for buying in and listening. I want to give you a chance very quickly here. We launched a coaching legend this week in John gangly RT who a lot of major college football fans might not know the Heisman at the three level is the gag already trophy was Dottie one years old at ST John's, which is a small school in Minnesota. And I just want to give you an opportunity a chance to meet him growing up in in working in that area early in my career. I mean that guy for a guy that that was better tiny little program in the middle of nowhere. Minnesota was unbelievably impact wellness business. And let me tell you. He impacted so many players so many young people, and he says the small program and yet he won more games than anybody. He was amazing. I met him at some ceremonies through the American coaches association a number of times, but he just have deep respect for a guy that could do what he did for as long as he did. And as well as he did if you've ever gone by that campus, by the way, many times it was like a Norman Rockwell postcard bear just the fact that this guy had been there for fifty sixty years, whatever it was just it was perfect. This is the way it's supposed to be and it was magical than so the passing of a legendary coaching figure. John gangly, Artie, we've got a college football scoreboard Jennings worth is coming up next. And he's got a lot to talk about. It's been a wild day gain college football that comes your way next as we get ready for Colorado and.

"State back to back losses sandwiched around the bye week for the Nittany lions Alabama in front of Missouri. Ten nothing West Virginia and Iowa State have traded touchdowns. Miami and Virginia are scoreless Michigan and Wisconsin just getting underway. And of course, later on this evening, it'll be five and Colorado taking on three and to USC at the LA Coliseum, which should be a good one. Mike mcintyre's bunch though off to a great start after a down season a year ago after having a breakout year back in two thousand sixteen but they have one of the best and most electrifying offensive players the nation in LA viscous Chenault. And Stephen Montas has taken another step in development as a good quarterback. He has been a terrific quarterback. So far this year completing seventy five percent of his passes. And I got a chance. To catch up with the buffaloes. Head coach yesterday. I talked about that big season two years ago before the dip. And now the terrific start. What's happened in? What's been the key to that turnaround? Our our young men are just playing really really well coaching staff identify nominal job with them. And in our quarterback is excellent and Stephen montage, and he's making a lot of things happen for us. And defensively. We've got Tom a lot stouter on defense. And I'm just proud of what those guys are doing. You know, you mentioned Stephen Montas and how well he is playing. He's always had the physical abilities. But his seemingly become a much better quarterback. At least from the outside looking in. He's completed over seventy five percent of his passes this year. What has made him transform from an athlete that is a quarterback to a quarterback. Well, you know quarterbacks need that experience. And he's got some great experience and and played really well in his showed signs of that. He's now learned really understood our offense. Really well, but now he's hard to understand the defense is and what they're trying to do. So. He can see it coming. He's an able to dissipate. He's able to react. Well, he's much more on balanced fundamentally when he's throwing now, and that's making him much, more accurate, and he's and he can also make places feet because he's truly a six four and a half years two hundred and twenty eight pounds and he can run he can throw it. He's a great athlete. But he's also a great quarterback. You have a terrific offense. But it has been an electric combination of Montas delivers ca Chenault who right now is one of the best college football players in the nation has he been a victim of east coast bias in the sense that he should really be in the Heisman conversation right now are viscous an extremely excellent player. He plays. Really? Well, we moved him all around. He's able to handle it all he's played in the back Phillies. Stay tight end. He plays wide receiver. This is a great player and he'll continue to make plays this year. And that's he continues to play. Well, and and we hopefully continue to win. All those accolades will come his way. What does he been like to coach a guy not only of his extraordinary talent? But to come back from what he's been through growing up seeing his father killed in a car accident while being in the front seat. It's certainly forced you grow up fast. Yes, it does. He is an exceptional young, man. He's very humble he was a little shy when we first got him. But now he's opened up. She really wants to trust people. And and he's a pleasure to have on the team all the players love him and care about him. And he does now he he gets just as happy for the other guys at score touchdowns. He really does. And that shows you what kind of character tests, and I also don't want to forget about the running back position because that has been a big big key to the start as well. And Philip Lindsay had a terrific career. And is now not too far from campus with the Broncos, but how much did his parting gift to the program if you will help? And of course, we're talking about Trayvon McMillan his successor. Philip Lindsay, let left a great legacy here. A legacy leadership and the legacy of hard work and playing relentlessly and Trayvon McMillan has played really well, and you know, has had four hundred four hundred four one hundred yard games last week. He cannot put us on his shoulders attended a game and made some huge plays to run the clock out and just very excited about Trayvon. And what he's doing what made him? Call Philip Lindsay and get the get the lowdown on on the program before deciding to transfer. Yeah. Yeah. That was crazy. I literally get a call from like eleven o'clock at night and Filipinos coach. He goes the back from Virginia Tech, Trayvon McMillan, just college, okay? I don't know who that is anything, and he goes, well, he's called me one program. He's obviously that keeps going to be transferred from there. So why can't talk until they get a release and all that he had a couple of days later there was released and he was talking to other schools to and he just loves it here in in love with Philip had to say about it filters, the big recruiter and getting shows they kind of one of those things that they found each other Trayvon fouled him on Twitter and direct message and then call him, and that's how they had this whole thing started, pretty, amazing and Filipino. We love fill up the university of Colorado. And of course, he his energy and enthusiasm. I think jumped right through the phone to Trayvon ever since. Trayvon's been hearing got here in June in may excuse me. And he's been phenomenal. The student as a person as a teammate. And of course, on the field as a player talk with Colorado head coach, Mike McIntyre has Buffalo's at five and ready to take on USC, which is going to be a tremendous contest in the Pac twelve and you have a chance to seize control of the pack twelve south this weekend. Of course, there's a lot left of the season. But how would you rate this opportunity that your team has in front of them today? Definitely it's a big opportunity as we keep winning the opportunity to get bigger and bigger, and that's what our kids came to the university of Colorado four in the football side of it is to play in big games and keep pushing that forward. So this is a big step for us anytime, I play team in the pack twelve south almost double double down for you. And so are gastric side about playing the game. I guess football team. We talked earlier about the big turnaround this season. And obviously, you know there. There are some great physical attributes whether it's Stephen Montas or Visco or anybody else on that team. But team chemistry from the outside. Looking in seems to be quite close this year. How's this team come together? They're really close. They chilly. It used the word brotherhood. I mean, they really have each other's back. They really don't care who gets the credit. They wanna sacrifice reach other to help each other be successful. And and they've said a lot of time off the field together. And, you know, actually hanging out with office a line, and I see, you know, all those different types of things going on. I say closeness in. I see a team that's always focused, but always loose. And that's how you want them. And you don't always get that. And we're getting that with this football team, and it's exciting. And it's a lot of fun to coach them. How important has the word development into this program? You talked about Stephen Montana's, and how far he's come. Havi Edwards has lost so much weight and become a force in the middle on defense for you guys up and down. This roster was del Ray Abrams or heavier Edwards are Stephen Montas that that the development and how far they've come in a short time really stands out. Yes. Are we have phenomenal strength staff? And we have a phenomenal training training staff that works with these guys away from us. You know, they've Jennifer knowledge I've developing them, and then our coaching staff has done a great job of teaching fundamentals and coaching the bare essence football and sometimes that gets lost in the shuffle. And I at this thing that I stress all the time and how we practice and how we prepare. We always say practice makes permanent. And so our guys understand that and their work at this team loves to practice. You know, there might be tired their as you're tired. But I haven't had one day when they didn't come out there and really want to get better and really wanted to get coach really push each other. And when they do that on a continuous basis it start showing up on Saturdays. And that's what we're seeing dog with Colorado head coach, Mike MacIntyre, the buffaloes unbeaten getting ready to take on USC one of the guys that you worked for in your career is David cliff. And I've always said about him. He is one of those people who has his priorities in order and really just a first class guy. What does he mean to you as a person not as a coach? Wow. I I don't know if long enough on this on this conversation to tell you David cut cliff means to me, but. David cut cliff. I would not be why today without David cliff cliff on my father's helpless declining. And I was totally for coach cut. He was a true mentor and father figure to me, and I talked to him quite often and get a lot of wisdom from coach cut, and I'm just so thankful, and he's helped me be a better person. He's helped me be a better father. He's probably her husband, and he's helped coach, and I I'm more appreciative. Then you know, what maybe cooking to me? Speaking of being a great father, your son Jay had a big day earlier this year against the Brassica eight receptions in two touchdown when you see that type of day and the smile on his face while this is happening is your first reaction that of a fatherm or of a coach well during the game, and I've been able to my dad coached me, and I grew up in football Stanley my entire life. So. During the game. I'm watching it just like he's a player out there. Because we're having to think ahead we're having to think of the game. I think what's going on. But when that game was over, and I had a chance to reflect now I kind of remember. Wow, that's my son. What a day he had. And you know, what I do is. I we watch the game. And then evaluate the film on Sunday. And then after I would say on Sunday, I take about twenty minutes, and I go back, and I just kind of watch his plays as a father and kinda goes to like a father Leonard a game. And if I don't do that, then I'm missing out on something special in life, which every day. I would love to have would that watching their kids play. So yeah, I was really proud of him more proud of him as a type of kitty as a team captain. It's hard for a coach's kid have happened. And so it's exciting for what he's done. I see my coworkers coached their son's little league team, and you see all throughout the industry as well. What type of privileges it as you mentioned, and how much joy, it brings you to see your son. Succeed and be the type of person he is how how how much joy does it bring you to have the opportunity to coach him, and he can be with you as well. It brings a lot of joy that the thing. I think that hit home he got interviewed as a freshman and had to intervene during the season. I wait until after the season they interviewed him. And my why I never read the paper or anything my wife calls, and she you gotta read this article. I said, no, I don't article about Jay an article that said, you know, what do you like about being here at Colorado and playing at Colorado, and he goes, you know, the best thing is is when you're coaches signing college dad to get many your high school games. He's traveling. He's coaching other people doing all that just the first time a life. I get to my dad every day and that blew me away. That was that's probably the best part of that at all. Well, it's been a great story. Not only you and your son. But your team is. Well, it was a great story two years ago when you had that breakout season, and it's been a great story this year. Thank you so much for a couple of minutes. Coach we wish you the very best of luck. The rest of the way. Thank you very much for having me on Mike MacIntyre. He has done a terrific job at Colorado and last year did not go so well, but they are right back where they were just two years ago five at USC tonight. And they haven't played a killer schedule yet. It's just the site. It's soft but undefeated is undefeated. And yeah, I like them tonight against USC even notes on the road is still on a learning curve for me with a freshman quarterback in the like ten Colorado might be just one of those teams and we've seen this before where. Yeah, they're not impressive yet. They don't blow people out, but they just know how the win and they find ways to win and they make the plays when they need to win not much on style points but undefeated undefeated, and I think they walk into L A and. Walkout undefeated again tonight. I think their defense is better than people thought. But I here's what stands out to me. Stephen Montas looked so good so far and LA viscous Chenault. I think is I think right now after the top three guys in the Heisman the quarterbacks Teke via Loa Haskins and Cuyler Murray. I think he's probably the fourth best player in the nation. And just that I was describing I was talking about the team. But also the same the quarterback. That's the kind of quarterback Montanez. He's a winner. He's been terrific. But he has become more of a quarterback than an athlete playing. He's upgraded his passing game easier. He's grown into it. For the first time this year. West Virginia trails is Iowa State has just pulled in front, but misses the point after thirteen to seven the mountaineers trail, the cyclones in Ames, Michigan and Wisconsin underway and scoreless in the big house. What else does week seven have to offer? It's been a wild week as another wild season continues in college football. We'll be back with you next Saturday at noon eastern time with ion college football. Of course, we'll be with you tomorrow at noon eastern for eye on football the week six of the NFL will kick off. And we'll be with you at noon eastern. See you then..

"Continued nine minutes left on the planes and Auburn down big to Tennessee. Vanderbilt in Florida has been a slugfest almost literally earlier today. What it's been a great one. So far in Nashville and Ohio State having trouble with Minnesota. But right now still in front Pittsburgh in front of Notre Dame late first quarter in south bend, Georgia and LSU will get underway at the bottom of the hour, no room for error for the Tigers. The BULLDOGS unbeaten and ranked second in the nation. Speaking of no room for Washington. Take non Oregon and stadium and Penn State coming off a loss and the bye week me. Meeting. Michigan state today in Happy Valley in Texas. Speaking of coming off, a big win is meeting Baylor today in Austin and unbeaten UCF in Memphis. Also get underway at the bottom of the hour as well told you about the surprise start in south bend. Let's get more from less drop Stein. Rich. We got a minute twenty six ago in the first quarter hit about to kick off. And they just went a grand total of eighty eight yards seventeen plays nine minutes, forty three seconds country. Alison he scored on a nine yard run in the Irish had trouble. Stopping the run up the Pitt Panthers. We've only got one twenty six to go in what's been a very speedy opening quarter. Notre Dame took the opening kickoff made a couple of first downs. But then the Panthers were able to stiffen forced a punt. And from that point on it was all Panthers and again taking up nine forty three of that opening quarter. Now Notre Dame. We'll start out after a touchback one twenty six to go opening quarter hit seven Notre Dame. Nothing. You know, pit has these performances every so often we saw last year in the season finale against Miami thought, we'd get that against Pittsburgh. Penn State rather earlier in the year that did not happen. Wonderful happened today on the road. So far good start for the Panthers. Speaking of good, how about Tennessee right now at Auburn. Let's check in with Bill Cameron. Reg, Tennessee, seven and a half minutes away from a big signature win and the first season for Jeremy Pruitt leading Auburn thirty to seventeen and Jerry China. I've mentioned what a huge day he's had twenty or thirty three hundred sixty nine yards. Two touchdowns. Seven pass completions of twenty plus yards on the day. Auburn has really been a big enemy of itself though, two interceptions by Jarrett stidham, a fumble recovery for a touchdown by stood him. And just a moment ago. A sure touchdown pass dropped by Darius late and Auburn on the move. But they'll have to score here that whole Tennessee. If they have any chance thirty to seventeen Tennessee leading Auburn with seven eighteen to play. All right inside five minutes left in Evanston Nebraska on its way to its first win beating northwestern right now, here's David Shuster. Three minutes and change and north Western's disadvantages. Ten thirty one. Twenty-one Nebraska has the lead northwestern with the ball deep in Nebraska territory now northwestern had a chance actually the ties the game on its last possession, but Clayton Thorson we've got a couple of touchdown passes and three hundred fifty yards in the air. He threw a key interception. His second on the day. Nebraska taking advantage kicking a field goal to open up a ten point margin. So far on the day. Thorson the two touchdown passes the two interceptions three hundred fifty yards in the air and Nebraska getting a big day from devan zippo couple of touchdown runs and almost two hundred yards rushing. Maybe Nebraska wins game. But they're gonna have to sweat. It out is right now, they're lead. It's ten thirty one Twenty-one. Thank you, David. Let's go to Mason, both Oklahoma state, and Kansas state has been tight when throughout the day. Mason. Yeah. The last time I talked to you guys. I told you that it was a big fourth-down coming up for Oklahoma state. They converted that they went down the field and scored to make it seventeen to twelve. They miss out on a two point conversion. But since then case state has now scored two touchdowns. Alex Barnes finds the end zone for a fourth time tying his career high and Barnes is up. Two hundred eighty one yards rushing on the day for K state. Who is now pushed their lead out to thirty to twelve on Oklahoma state. They just had an eleven play seventy five yard five and a half minute drive. So we've Oklahoma state down. What's going to be nineteen points with two and a half minutes? Lost play the game Oklahoma state with only three timeouts and it was another penalty that kept the drive alive case state and offsides penalty moves case state four and on a third down that originally had been stopped by Oklahoma state. So Kansas state of nineteen with two and a half minutes left to play over the Cowboys. Thank you, very much Mason, and what has been one of the best games of the day. So far has been Vanderbilt and Florida let's check in with Chris leeann Nashville, which two hours ago, they hit a ball led Florida twenty one to three lead his of after right? It's Gators now lead Vanderbilt thirty four to fourteen we are under eight minutes left in the game, Florida. Went ahead with Jordan scarlet touchdown run on the first or second play the fourth quarter. Now forty Swain minutes ago called a short touchdown pass. In Wayne it in into the left. Taiwan valuable has a three nothing edge turnovers. That has really been what's kept the Commodores in the ball game. But Keyshawn bomb who had eight touches for one hundred thirty one yards. He's been out since about midway through the second quarter is not returning into Commodores. I'm not sure if they've yards of total offense without him. Venables got the ball back. But just had such a hard time. Moving looking covered in long hairs poorly of the Nashville thirty four to twenty four. We are now seven fifty three left. All right. Thank you very much. Chris, oh, Dan Mullen finding away to grind this one out so far midway through the fourth quarter. It has been a tale of two halves. The first half was a disaster for Florida in which they were penalized six times and had two turnovers. And again, if turned around in the second half playing very very well with nineteen points, so far and allowing just three let's check in with Jeff rap in Columbus under six minutes left state trying to finish off Minnesota, Jeff. Yeah. Not too many people. Rich would have thought that we'd be late in the fourth quarter with Ohio State still searching you get control of this game. But that's where we are five fifteen to go in the buckeyes leading twenty three to fourteen points in the second half coming from lake hobble, the backup kicker for the buckeyes. He's got a couple of field goals one in each quarter. The third and the fourth after Sean Nuernberger normal place kicker was injured. Meanwhile on the other side Emmett carpenter of Minnesota who came into this game one of the programs f- kickers forty four fifty three in his career including eight of nine on the season coming into today. He's missed a pair of kicks including the forty eight yard attempt moments ago earlier thirty two yarder down in the south end that would have cut into what was just at the time ace six point Ohio State lead. So the buckeyes trying to grind this thing out. Certainly some words exposed today with the buckeyes not having much of a run game today. Day in some issues in the back seven allowing big plays. But early so unsightly when your quarterbacks Dwayne Haskins you still Dwayne Haskins thinks he's thirty one and forty two for three hundred seventy two yards and a couple more touchdowns. No interceptions. So Dwayne has Heisman hopefulness is is ongoing, but Ohio state's got some work to do here. Four forty five or I'm sorry. Four zero five to go in the fourth quarter the buckeyes leading twenty three fourteen trying to move to seven zero on the season Washington trying to keep its playoff hopes alive. Getting ready to get underway at Oregon at the bottom of the hours. We bring in chip Patterson. Oh, CBS sports dot com to take a closer look inside the Pac twelve and you could follow chip on Twitter at chip underscore Patterson. How much was the biweekly chance for USC to reset? It. Look, at some positives. Most notably the development of freshman quarterback j t Daniels big big time. And I think that we're gonna be offense come out and look really really smooth early in the game gets collar. Arado? I think that we'll see it maybe not even from JT Daniels as much rich. I think we see that offensive line. Try to set an edge. I think we see Steven car get out and get rolling early. They know that this USC offense is just different when they've got a productive run game as the base, and then JT Daniels excellence through the air as the compliment because the games that USC is lost in the times are US's offense struggled has been when JT Daniels is throwing the ball forty eight times and having to swing it all over the yard and run for his life. So I think that when you look at this USC team coming off the bye, I think they're gonna look very sharp. And in particular, it will be on the ground in the running game, well rested and hosting five. And Colorado tonight, what has been the difference in Stephen Montas this year completing nearly seventy five percent of his passes. Well, it sure seems like ninety eight percent of those completions have gone to Levinsky issue. Not doesn't it. I mean, it's it is hard to ignore the impact. Of what I think is the single best all purpose talent that we've seen on the field in college football, Louis kitchen, all and that's I mean that is the interesting proposition for this game because outside of Chenault. He's getting it done on the ground. He's getting it done as a wide receiver. You're giving Montas? He he had to step in during the Pac twelve south championship run. He had to step in and a pinch for CFO blue foul, and he did a good job. I mean, he's been in these big games. And these imported games we've done a good job of delivering. I think Montas is good. I think this is excellent. And to be able to capture the Pac twelve south again. I think that they need Montas even as a seventy percent passer. He's going to have some games in the USC one is a perfect example when they take away your favorite target. Can you still make the play anyway? And that's a question that I think Stephen Montas ready to answer for all that you mentioned about Chenault. Should he? We start receiving Heisman consideration. I mean, it's a pretty packed class. So far with three great quarterbacks. But is he that fourth guy? Well, I I'll say there's not a there's not another wide receiver who deserves that kind of consideration. And I think that when you think about the high profile running backs Bryce love is not in the conversation. Like he was going into the year. Jonathan Taylor probably will remain there. But I I would take Chenault over Jonathan Taylor at this point in the season. So he's definitely leading in my opinion, the non quarterbacks division of the Heisman Trophy discussed. I liked that classification as we talk with chip Patterson of CBS sports dot com. You can follow him on Twitter chip underscore Patterson. And also check out is podcast, the twenty four seven sports college football podcast argon in Washington..

"To one. That's not a good enough payout for a parlay. I can see why low for I can see why Ireland's getting killed. Yeah. He only bets the parlays which are sucker sucker bets, but that's not even good enough payout for your sucker bet. I don't think six to one's good enough isn't all that is what a three team parlay as well. Six to one. I seem to recall back in the day and more my gambling days getting. Did you ever gamble for real? Yeah, yeah. Real money. Not mythic really have the fez and the fed says at six to one. No, no. I'm not saying it's inaccurate. I'm just saying, I don't know if that's good enough payout to make this bet is what I'm saying. I don't know if I make that for a six to one payout. Well, he's just trying to make sixty k. to jump back in, right? He's trying to get back into us. Yeah. So he he's desperate desperate. He's still got twenty five k. on whether or not the Larkhall has a baby this year. Yeah, gets pregnant that says, other bet how long you let it roll till the end of the year until the end of the, you know, we started with all this on January one, so at December thirty first at resets and we're back to one hundred thousand does the baby have to be conceived by the end of the cheese. Okay. They have to announce that she's pregnant on the BBC on the BBC. He's pulling like in touch magazine us weekly, and it's like, no BBC is the news of record roar British people fake news. Yeah. No, it's real news real news. They're not failing. Yeah. So you cover the Rams a lot. Have you been around there this week? I have not been around this week. I was round last week. Okay. Before the which candidate just played Ireland of you by the way you cover the Rams. Rams. You also cover USC. So I have been saying that I think Colorado is an absolute fraud. They've played absolutely nobody in. That's the fakest five zero ever. Well, there's reason to believe that could be the case. They're calm. Their opponents combined record is five and twenty one five and twenty. One played two teams that have yet to win, right? Having said that though a USC has not played well enough to treat anybody like a fake opponent. No, and be this. I can treat them as a fair, you can't. I can say they're a fraud this receiver that they have LA, viscous Chenault. Yeah, he is amazing. Yeah, and Steven Montas their quarterback. He does not make a lot of mistakes. Stephen Montas. It feels like he's been there for a long time year, I believe is the starter he he's good. He's very, don't make a lot of mistakes. He don't. He's not a touchdown machine, but he's only thrown eleven this year, but he's only thrown to picks. Here's a bother me about this SC schedule is that it's, this is an easier. This is a year where the Pac twelve south is is just way down all the powers in the north, and they're dodging Washington during the regular season Oregon during the regular season. This is the cake schedule year for USC and they're only foreign two, but three, three and two. No foreign to aren't. They three into three and two, okay. Three into. But at the at the salon projecting the winning Colorado. But at the same time, the front part of the schedule, their their road teams were good opponents as as it turns out they lost, but Stanford is a good team. Texas is way better. Texas is far better than we thought and it feels like they were in the process of starting to figure it out during that game against USC yet. Like when you take a look at how the team has progressed where they are now, it seems like it was starting to click against USC in that game. They just Amal and I root for clay Helton by the way. Another. Another thing about tomorrow night's game is that clay Helton has never lost the Coliseum knowing ever completely invincible. Now he invincible clay. -fensive. Welcome. You know what? I'm gonna. I'm gonna buy that. You are right now. Invincible dot com. Well, that's good because that means that you're by definition than not making this year of the clay..

"But in other words, where they win their last twelve games because they lost the opener again to Maryland by a five spot. So they win their last twelve games. Does a one loss Texas team beat out a one loss Notre Dame team? I think you're the same strong position. If you take I think Texas has the schedule is going to put them in a position where I would consider them well before Notre Dame because the big twelve right now with those defensive. Did they say that Texas because we're going to have to continue to step up if they can find a way to get through their schedule, and they deserve an opportunity to take on of the college football playoff Notre Dame? Notre Dame can't hold on and run the table in very convicting fashion is going to be tough for them to be a lot of these one loss teams have conference matches. There are a lot more enticing Mizzou disappointed as far as they're passing team passing game drew locking company against SCC competition. He's got great stats against non conference opponents, but even against your dogs. He didn't throw a touchdown pass. They rushed for four, you know. But George was in control the game went by fourteen against South Carolina backup quarterback again. He didn't throw any touchdown passes seventeen to thirty six two hundred four yards. No touchdowns to interceptions. So Missouri now going to Bama boy, I think it's gonna be a long day for autumn. And the guys I do like the way that Arkansas was able to move the ball on bam early. In fact, if story doesn't fumble the ball and the one yard line. They're going to cover that first half. And they'd be the only team to do that. But I like the way Arkansas least played with some some heart down there. Fayetteville your take Missouri. Alabama any chance Missouri at least test the secondary Obama. Your best bet. I think Missouri actually have the tools when you look at their office if weapons yeah, we know drew like had an ad the best season to season we anticipated. But he does have the skills to me. Also had the playmakers at the outside position. It's gonna be tough to find any success in Alabama defense. You gotta do it on early down. Missouri. Does have a chance at an outside chance. But I promise you won't last long because Alabama as soon as they get accustomed to the scheme that Missouri is running Bill find ways to put themselves in a position to be successful. Drew lock is going to have to play his best game of his career in order to find a way to pull out this type of being upset coryell. Not only does he know the SEC the big twelve the ACC knows all these conferences jump around to the big twelve West Virginia will Greer six interceptions. But he's thrown for over eighteen hundred yards. I mean, there's no doubt this guy played the next level. And he's got three very good receivers Marcus SIMS David sills theft, and Gary Jennings junior. I think all three of these guys can play in the NFL. They go to Iowa State now Iowa State the bringing a freshman quarterback last week. Brought Purdy kid throws for four touchdowns three hundred eighteen yards. He rushes Eighty-three yards for another touchdown there in Ames. It's going to be about forty five degrees. Their names Iowa Kemp. The starting quarterback should be available if need be, but they've already said that. Campbell already said that it's going to be Purdy that starts West Virginia goes in there. Boy, I'm just saying Corey if they try to force things, and I've seen we'll do this. And they've been a tale of two halves. They went into Lubbock and dominated Texas Tech who was forced to go to a backup quarterback early in that game. All of a sudden Texas Tech had the ball with two and a half minutes to go looking to go down for the tying drive. They had the ball picked off in return for a touchdown from a kid. That was really getting his first action at quarterback, but your take West Virginia going into Ames, Iowa tell you what man Campbell is going to have these guys ready. I think this is going to be one of these must see games a Saturday night game from Ames, West Virginia, better tread lightly. And not take this game for granted. This is the this is what you call the quintessential trap game. I think this is an opportunity for Ames Iowa to step up and really get behind the young signal caller. I think he's gonna be a great quarterback for them. I think he needs to get the nod. And I think he needs to do his birth to play well and not turn the ball over because we know will Greer he's got a little bit of the gunslinger in right? Like you take chances. He's a great player, but he does put himself in some awkward position sometimes throwing across his body, especially when you feel like he needs to make plays. I think West Virginia has much better unit, but you can get hot as a young player. Sometimes when you're young. You're just dumb enough to not knowing not care and play with no regard. And and I think that could bode well for a young kid in a home environment night game against the big time opponents so party will have a chance for success, but will Greer's gotta be the more season. Pastor, I think West Virginia, you definitely pull it out. But it's going to be one of those games where you gotta watch early because. An early turnover by will Grier might put these teams with their back against the wall. All right, soft breaks. So we're going to keep Corey three more quick games. We're going to get to them. We're going to let them go. Always appreciate Korean on the east coast accommodating us out here on the west coast. And of course, our listeners all over Korea has to get permission. Always check and make sure that he gets permission from his better half. And then he's got the green light. But I hit him on. All this. Good stuff, and it is great content. Colorado at USC Southern Cal off the bye, love the way. That McIntyre coaches loved the way that Stephen Montas is taking care of the football touchdowns. Two picks. Look this team's playing with confidence Southern Cal boy again, you can say underachieving or whatnot. But they knew they had to break in a true freshman quarterback JT Daniels and his leading receiver coming for mater dei high school as well Amman Ross ain't Brown. So they knew they're probably going to take some lumps and they have. But coming off a bye will Southern Cal be ready to take out Colorado because I do like McIntyre. And I know he's going to have this team prepared. But I'm wondering if SC who has really struggled to have any type of pass rush. Again. The only have nine sacks import Guston has four those sacks. They need are actually has five and a half. They need to get some pressure on Stephen Montas to force him into mistakes because if they don't and he's able to find this receivers Chenault, whoever already has fifty one receptions seven hundred eight yards and six touchdowns. I mean, they got to be careful, but I think SE secondarily or secondary wise, they're going to have good enough speed to double up once you know, and take him out of the game a little bit more to the liking than Colorado wants to see your take though, Colorado because I do love mcintyre's one of my favorite coaches on a big program that doesn't get a lot of headlines and a lot of folks thought they'd struggle. Now, they haven't played a great schedule. But at the end of the day, they found a way to beat Arizona state last week. What about Colorado at Southern Cal can SE get them or does Colorado and remain unbeaten the Montessori combination has to be stopped. You're right. Colorado's coming in with a lot of momentum. M s she had the talent. And if they've done anything during the bye week it had to have been working on that pass rush. They don't put pressure on. It's going to be a long night. He definitely has a shot. They've got the skillset Colorado right now just writing away. I think he's gonna be they're going to be a surprise home. Cooking. I think the Trojans actually gonna pull up. All right. That's I mean that's good for me being a Trojan fan, but you know, the end of the day. Hey, I'm realistic. I thought s he was going to go eight and four this year. We'll see if we get there staying in the Pac twelve Washington again. Maybe they take their foot off the gas against UCLA up twenty four to seven at half. But back to back road games now for the huskies and not just any back to back road game. Playing an Oregon team at.

"But yes, of course, Colorado SC Colorado five. Now for the first time in twenty years, I wanna say this game will decide the backbone south, but whoever wins it will will basically can be in control. This is your aim. I take it. This is our game. It's actually the first time I've ever done a home game in four years of the sideline reporter meeting one hundred on a fillet own game or USC on game, but so like not having to get on a plane, both sides of that. I'm curious to watch Colorado in person, and we've talked a lot probably more than anybody else on a podcast about LA, viscous all over as month or so to get see him in person. Also, Stephen Montas who I think is really good. I'm curious what down the road, what, how NFL people evaluate him, but he's playing really well and you. A see. This is an opportunity for I think, for USC to say, okay, and a lot of people look at this program, think the sky is falling. I think a win would quiet. Some of that down a loss would certainly escalate it and see how much growth they may. We had them. We had them week to against Stanford where they kind of got mauled. They could not protect. JT Daniels, they struggled to get much pressure on k. j. Kostelic in granted at Stanford. But we, we've seen that Stanford program really struggle since then. So you know, where is USC right now, how much how much growth have they made since since early in the year. I mean, we off they did not look great against Zona where they stumbled to a land with a ton of penalties. So I'm interested in that, but just told me this, you will be hopscotching around Evanston and the greater Chicago area changing TV's. So at least people are watching night. Well, the question is, first of all I should into question question. No. Will the residents in staying in get episode, right? The FM. Amanda. It don't last. Winter feed and just put put all put all Marriott properties and residents for residents ones residents in on. You know, well, widely known channel. At this point, they have lots of big college football games like this one that their last frontier hotel rooms. It's kinda hit or miss, whether they'll be on your in your hotel room or not. Just just to explain what you're saying. This Saturday will be the first time in fifteen years that I am not either not carrying a game or a home, watching the games and actually attending a game in the stands. It is my twentieth reunion not to date myself. Twenty-three union. And so I haven't gone to go to them usually because college football, weekends, but I will be there. I will be in the stands for just a an epic football clash between the two and three while gas in the Owen five, Nebraska Cornhuskers at least northwestern coming in on a win now. But yes, I will be obviously keeping an eye on everything, and I will watch that Colorado USC game. If if wherever I am has. If not go to sports for still go to. Sometimes they don't have one of two, four spars believe me. I'm at least not Pac twelve network. There would be no chance of that in eight before you allow around this, did you at all watch any of the fight Saturday night? I wasn't like I mean, first of all, you have to pay to watch that. I went to our, I went to a sports bar down near our hotel in Columbus. It was happening right at the end of the Stanford Utah game, I believe. So when the game ended instead of sportscenter showing college football is like, they usually do. They went to Vegas for breathless reporting about this by all afterwards. All I mean by them, I think I had seen the the clips on Twitter of its, I don't. I don't follow this stuff at all. They were talking about black. I was for for the USC, but it seems like he just got them a lot of attention. He's a really, really gonna..

What he'll see you're going to bring pressure. They're going to mix up their front. They're going to bring those backers. That's going to be alright because I think coach Adams doing a great job with though line of sorting it all out and known. We're gonna see knowing what pressures we're going to get. And then obviously coach Rover's working on us as well with protections. Knowing what calls known who's going to be blocked. So I think I think we'll haven't figured out. "Both teams three months three at both teams three one against the number. Here's the golden nugget lane. Carolina three straight covers for them mega four. All right, Florida. Atlantic lane kiffin boy's gonna lay a field goal again stock still and company. We'll see Brenton get a good game quarterback wise. I mean to me middle. Tennessee State is not the same potent offense. Just not, you know, Richie James just not the same cast of characters for stocks dough to throw the ball to sixty one the total. I know the blue raiders Joe always tough at home. But I don't see it this year. I think this is a good spot for them. Again. I if you're gonna take a little Tennessee State dog for them, even though lane. Difference coming to town. And I would take the over opened up at sixteen down for sixteen one. I would take a shot on the over in the smog and all right, Brad. I like the over more than anything in this game. I think it's a track meet up and down the field a lot of pace for Florida Atlantic. I think stocks is the best game of the season over my favorite told us plan week one of them. Meanwhile, Colorado twenty one sixteen Stephen Montas somehow gets out of a sack and takes it down to the six yard line of UCLA and Colorado trying to get a cover in that game. Go up by double digits, if they could get it in the end zone next game on the docket. Southern Cal USC minus three at Zona fifty nine and a half the total USC very fortunate to beat Washington state at home. Arizona has been a disappointment. I don't know. What's happened to Khalil Tate will wait and see how things pan out as Colorado gets in the end zone to open it up and cover the number at least right now. Joe what about it in this one? I know you were high on USC at the beginning of the year JT Daniels, you know, going through the true freshman growing pains in Southern Cal. They are moving the ball offensively. But the defense is real. Really been disappointing. A couple of numbers one of the world's five hours by thirteen points per game. But I'm sure everybody knows you. All seven games against the number. But I look at the rush defense of Arizona given up on your ninety five yards per game. Football will call. It's a long number. Now's the time. One. I like you see on the road in the wrong and..
