Just sure you know that because they're in that position right now Dow by if they score the touchdown. They're going to go for two. Kickoff for right to left for errors soda and this on the back of the end. So to sick. Firsthand ten for the twenty five yard line. Khalil take fifteen thousand three hundred yards and five touchdowns. Remark through the last four games. Now, our our secondary's continue to be exploited. When things front sevens playing really well against the run. But no one you gotta have kept points yards. Just throw it down there. Yup. More than likely you're going to get what you need. Here comes Stephen Montanez. Twenty one of thirty one passing six hundred seventy seventy yards three touchdowns. I intend to the twenty-five play action. Stephen droplets middle and Winfrey makes it grab it traffic across the forty out of the forty two yard line. Took a shopper behind seventeen yards Dmitri's Flanagan bowls. Although tackle that's ahead. Heck of a catch. Boy, am pretty good coverage. He hit him maybe even early but great catch by Winfrey. I down to the forty two shock outstep dropping looking rears back. He's gonna take down the right side. And it's incomplete as wintry take a little bit offender calls himself on the ballgame burns at a coverage. Patty, put the brakes on there. I sure did. "Would just twenty nine seconds to play Shuqair gets the kick away in Colorado with this amount of time left will bring it out trying to get into field goal position Blackman on the return and Blackman gets it out to the twenty five yard line. And you're right, Jim there's enough time for a guy like montage operating with two timeout. Damage does does the trick? That's why I knew with Oregon state with their timeout. If just just wait a little bit leave yourself enough because you could you could get a first down, but it would have been at the two yard line. So you know, I mean, I got a fine line. Colorado keeps it hopes formerly alive. They still would have had a chance down a point with montage and company and the two timeout out. They gotta get over on that trip to the left to get somebody behind Katie Nixon. I intend for the buffaloes out there twenty five and a thirty four thirty four time that play could swing momentum certainly back in the buffs favor. The throws nearly intercepted. But it's a catch instead out to the forty three Shomar Smith. I thought was in a position to make an interception instead, it's a forest down for the buffaloes. They market at the forty four twenty three seconds to go Colorado and Colorado takes a out the clock down to sixteen seconds. The bus with one timeout remaining and chamois really, quite frankly. As employees to pull out in. I think he might have even got his hands or chip the football. And this is a very dangerous quarterback and receiver combination with Katie Nixon, and Stephen Montanez, I think Buffalo's probably need to get around thirty five yard line there. Probably twenty one twenty two twenty three yards away from getting themselves in field. Go ranch, and they have sixteen seconds to work with. And they still do have a timeout that they've caught up Reiter eighteen seconds on the game clock. Eighteen one is that right? Do they still have time? Do they have one time out remaining the beavers? No timeouts. Colorado at.

But number forty two. Doug to move out to stop down at four Mark to bring the in down for the dive and scraping the linebacker for the quarterback that happens in this. Against this offense a lot. They have to have an answer for that. Two of eight down says four forty four yard line. I'll tell tamp six and a half to play in the third quarter bowl eligible slot. Either side boundary right Montana throw slant left side, Katie that get the catch. He gave ground. Where they brought him down is very close. It is a first down Jade four and a half yards. I say done on the coverage. Boy, you know, he does that. I'll Mark he catch that ball and comes back behind the line of scrimmage, then crosses back or not land scrimmage declined to gain back across. He does that a lot. I I on the they're gonna review that spot. Neither I didn't think he got it when he gave ground previous players under further review. The ruling on the field. Gary, I think what they did. They marked it where he caught the football and then didn't take into account where he gained ground to get to the line to gauge. So I this is going to be this isn't going to be. I don't think this is the first down. Oh, I think it's going to be that was third down there. She'll be fourth-down one maybe fourth and one is way. I sit Mike's gonna which is gonna have a decision to make. We got six hundred ninety point two three replay right there. I don't think he's going to be fourth in less than a yard. Because he did I guess is he gave ground he's circled back towards the line to gain that reached out little bit. So he gave ground he actually caught that in I down territory. The he's going to be about a half a yard shot showing Bill. Yeah. Look at the job derks once he wasn't forced back to go back. That's right. That's the dangerous forced back. Then. That's that'd be different thirty one ten. Buffalo's advantage six nine to play in the third. Total yardage this with three hundred thirteen mega three hundred fifteen yards for the buffaloes. One ninety three seventy plagiarize. Bangles no win. Now this turn into a perfect football day. Referee's Kevin bar taking the headset off. Make the call here. "Strength Bank of the west fourteen thirteen bubble Israeli by one irritation numbers. Pretty even so far this ball game. Coach, Gary Boorda voice lost. Mark johnson. Thought or two of the from you in the first half. Mark. Thought game plan wise were we've done a good job. And I think that we've got ourselves in positions where we couldn't quite execute the plan but other net we're tackling pretty well. Jake Browning is being Jake Browning in. By the way to beat him is to finally nailing back there instead of letting slip away. But no, no one's been very good at doing that. You know, I thought we wasted a couple of timeouts not wasted. We we didn't get anything out of the time outs or one from five on third downs. We we we converted the first one of the game was a third and three then after that we struggle on third downs. But they've been third and longs. And that that means that, you know. We're coming up short again on first down and second down. And so but other than that. I know I think it's been a pretty good half for the buffs and um. You know being fourteen to thirteen other than the one touchdown. That was uncontested. It's been a pretty good half for. Well, Stephen Montanez so far ten of six to twelve passengers for a hundred yards. I think he's been pretty sure up today. He has I think we need to take advantage of how sharpie is a little bit. We've we've tried to run the ball at these guys and we had some early success, right, Adam. But. We're not getting the push that we were getting early on. And they are getting better pushed deal with their offense than they were really on. So. Is going to. Both. These teams are going to come out and do what they do best. And I think that's for the buffs is going to be throwing the football around a little bit. And take advantage of some of the receivers that we've got kospi's retake the field. The bustle take the field here momentarily. One of the questions we had to the Gulf the loss last week would always this account attain. That was gonna turn it fight or suck and run and. Just come out and compete, very hard to. I think if there's anything to be taken them this first half is you know, what played with these guys. Brown. I drive. We can we can push these guys around make some place. So you'd like to see the buffs sort of. Bow their neck here a little bit with a little bit of confidence. And we'll see what happens, but. We've only throwing the ball twelve times and ten of those successful sorta looks like to me. That's maybe the way we go. Let's turning loose. We talked about the injuries here. And you know, you can't worry about who. You don't have drivers Bill or however, you want to put it, but we get down the short yardage Golan situations like number two other which is no question and. You know, we don't. And so the kids that are playing out there playing pretty doggone. Well, we've got three completions two tight ends to Russell the one to bounds. And you know, nobody saw that coming Daniel areas with his first collegiate kits is a touchdown. Patriots. Ailing with one Tony Brown with one. So you'll we we can get the ball out there. I just think we need the protection pretty well. Probably get those those place call again for those that don't know Dmitri Stanley's father is Walter Stanley the cherry creek products did played for the buffaloes nineteen eighty and eighty one is as wide receiver. So he's got a family history of thought to be a very talented young receiver shows go to see him out there as well..

"Faster mental Mark Johnston back here in Seattle tied is seven eleven forty nine to play in the second quarter big play here. Coach third down and five for the buffaloes from husky twenty yard line moving left to white bullet tash marquees situation right here. Well, they made a couple of key plays down here. Mark in this drive. And you don't wanna go away without points. But you really want to seven and not be forced to kick a few goals with the new kicker with someone with a lot of kicks under his belt. So they want the right formation, and they they want this thing to be positive here. Boy, Stephen Montanez has been sharp seven eight passing for eighty five yards at a touchdown that big a thirty seven yard score to the young wide receiver Daniel areas here come above lose third down and five for the twenty odd little pistol formation. Tight ends. He turns he hands off to trail. Mcmillan got hit in the backfield and went nowhere on the plane. Totally blowing up that time by Ryan Bowman. My goodness. That was a pretty strange call Mark boy. Felt they something on this situation. So now Gary was talking about a moment ago. Here comes Evan price for the buffaloes to attempt. His first college field goal is spotted down the twenty eight yard line. Thirty just inside the twenty eight thirty seven yard him for the league snapped down swings. The right leg grew up on its way. And it is good. Buffalo's take the lead with eleven oh three to play the second quarter drives doles out at the twenty yard line. And Evan price. The young kick out of evergreen high school in the foothills just wants to temper knocks through his first college field goal. The buffaloes have cut the lead ten seven over the huskies here in Seattle. We'll take a timeout. This is Colorado football field. Here. This is a prescription..

"Right side speed to the corner. Touchdown washington. The dogs. From the stadium. All right. Well, the good news, both augment and miles. Gaskin are expected to play today. I don't know how much especially if it's a blowout. Hopefully, they won't see a lot of time. So they can heal up a little bit off man has a a sore knee from that duck's game and miles Gaskin reinjured his shoulder because he heard it a couple of weeks ago at UCLA, and then kind of aggravated it last week against the ducks. So we're going to see, but it is good news at both those guys we'll see some action today. Well, one thing that dogs have been working on this week. Colorado's dual threat quarterback, Stephen Montanez. Now the guy can throw he can run definitely a dual threat and D coordinator Jimmy lake knows all about that. This quarterback Montanez is a better runner than the quarterback that we saw a couple of years ago. Just got a little bit more bursts to the more agile not nothing against the former quarterback. But I just this guy. He keeps it he'll keep it on his own read. And and he's be guys. You ran a fifty yard touchdown against Colorado state. They didn't leverage the ball correctly. And so we have to be ready for an affordable. Well, yes. So far this season Montas is run for two hundred thirty three yards and passed for nearly sixteen hundred and eleven touchdowns. The kid can bring it with his arm and his legs defensive tackle gray gains. We haven't heard much from this guy this year lease on our show. But he is talking about the buffs this morning. The biggest thing is they run a lot of tempo. And it's like all the time. A lot of teams in the Pac twelve. Khurana tempo play right after a big play. I down big game though, brought up to the ball and go fast. If you get if you stop them, they'll they'll take their time and run the next play with these guys are going fast all the time we got to prepare for and we got to be ready for and like we've got gotta get the play calls fast. Ready to go. Yeah. Big Greg gains been clogging up the middle for the huskies on the expensive line. He's got twenty seven tackles this season and a sack. He's needs to come. Big Colorado does have a pretty big offensive line. Hey, don't forget to hit me with a tweet as we're getting warmed up here on the show. It's at guard swats, and that's what two ways. So that's at G A R D Swanson hit me with a tweet. I want to hear from you. So I got one right here. And it says this is a guy from San Diego city listens. On the web is names. Ricky says this game will be boring and over early dogs fuming after Oregon they win today. Thirty eight three dogs over the buffs. Sally from Snohomish says huskies win huge forty nine ten. Oh and says forty two forty one huskies. So we'll see we got a bunch here to read. I got a lot of people hit me up this morning again at guard swat. So we have a lot.

"Week down in Eugene against the Oregon ducks and joining us now is guard Swanson host of KOMO kickoff. Coming up at seven thirty later on this morning, and in and I back to that Oregon devastating. I was gonna say kickers. Yeah. I always hit or miss. Yeah. Freshman freshman kicker. I think you've got to cut him a little bit of slack. And he got is two or three times to buy Oregon coach, it's college football. But you know, I've talked to so many husky fans this week, Jeff, and they're all smarting still over this. They're still really upset. But as coach Pete says, you know, it's a game as the way football go sometimes, and you just have to figure out how to regroup like today against Colorado. The fortunate thing though, is that the huskies are now out of the running for college football playoff. But they could still land a very nice bowl game. Because you know, you finish if they went out, which is certainly not guaranteed. But if they went out they'd finish at ten and two and you're going to pretty solid bowl game with just two losses. I would think if they went out they're going to be a top twelve team and most likely the top. Well, the top twelve teams will go to a major bowl game. And the Rose Bowl is not part of the semi finals in the college. Football playoffs are the rose is open. So I'm thinking most likely the huskies if they went out when the Pac twelve championship they could be seated in that Rose Bowl. Which would be really cool. Yeah. Yeah. But would they go to the Pac twelve championship? Now that Oregon has the win over Washington Oregon would have to lose quite a few games when the huskies need help for sure starting today at four thirty over in Pullman. And after the huskies lost a organ last week. Now there are rooting for Oiseaux to beat Oregon. This is making my brain hurt. Yeah. But if you see if the Cougars beat Oregon, Oregon will now have two losses in the Pac twelve if the huskies went out, they'll only have one, and they would go to the Pac twelve championship. Okay. Okay. A lot of math involved in this. It is you know. College football. It's great in the huskies had a great recruiting class this this year. So they're going to all be coming in for next year. This season certainly isn't over they're going to go to a major ballgame. And they're going to have the future looks bright for the dog. So moving onto today's game. Colorado in town, you always have to laugh at their mascot the buffaloes. What can we expect a husky blow out on the line L? Absolutely. I think the buffs have been overrated since day one. They did crack the top twenty five going into last week's game at USC. And now they're out of the top twenty five and the I don't think they w w number twenty five and Colorado now out of the top twenty five. I don't think they should have been in there. They only have one loss and that was to SC, but SC basically blow him out twenty eight seven at the break. And then it ended up thirty one twenty. But the score was really no indication of how close this game wasn't how close it wasn't. So I look for a big blowout. Dogs favored by sixteen and a half to seventeen and a half. Depending what where you look. But yeah, I mean, this is a buffalo there. No secondary. Look for Jake Browning to have a big a big show. They have to worry a little bit about Stephen Montanez the quarterback for Colorado. He's a dual threat he could run he can throw. But you know, the dogs defense is pretty good. Yeah. Let's go back a couple of years. And let me ask you this does Colorado and Utah for that matter belong in the Pac twelve oh, absolutely. They're big time programs and they're both. They're both really good schools. Really good. But when you compare them to like other schools around in the other conferences, they're right in the mix. They definitely should be there. I always like seeing Pac ten better than Pac twelve but we welcome event. Yeah. And before that it was the Pac eight. Way back way back. I remember I used to go to the Stanford games. I grew up in California. So the huskies you're expecting a blow out today against the buffaloes by how much might I ask are you gonna play by twenty one three touchdown touchdown. Wow. That is a blowout. Yeah. I think so the huskies have beaten him eight street times they own Colorado. It's a home game. The only the only hitch could be is if the huskies mindset, isn't there after the laws after the lawsuit Oregon, correct? But if they're ready to go and coach Pete is so phenomenal as a coach he's going to have his guys where they need to be going into today's game. All right guard Swanson, host of KOMO kickoff. Coming up later this morning at seven thirty. Thank.

And and we don't mean snaps, you know, no huddle and get the playoff quick. They have to play fast is a team second thing. They gotta do on offense. They gotta know reporter. He's leads the pack twelve and Sachs they've got a block him. They must secure him. They must find ways to keep him out of the backfield. Solit- Stephen Montanez has time to throw the football third thing. They gotta do is. If they see if they get a pass defense most. Time that they play cover two. They have got to run the football. They've got to run the football when they have to run the football. They did that much better last week than they have. Finally, they've got to adjust to whatever SC does to try to take away la-, viscous, whatever they do whatever. They're scheme is in the coaching staff has got to figure out a way to adjust and and and make them pay for that adjustment. Because when they whatever they do means you're gonna take somebody away from coverage on on another player. They've gotta make them pay for that defensively. They've got to create turnovers this team you could beat this team. If you force turnovers, and they turn the ball over and see you while not turning the ball over has not forced a lot of turnovers only three interceptions, all by linebackers and one fumble recovery. We have got the forcing turnovers in this game. Keep the ball in front of you from the secondary standpoint, you know, what? What will hurt you? And what will cause a problem for you quicker than anything is the ball that gets behind you? So the secondary's gotta play deep as the deepest. And they've got to keep the ball in front of him tackle the receiver. And makes the makes the catch if he makes it, but they must keep the ball in front of you. And then you you to find a way to get pressure on his quarterback. He's he's a freshman. He's young. He's Eastone three picks. You've got to find a way. And when I see you got to find a way, you you may not be able to get pressure on him from what you're plan. Nisqually was. So you have to adjust as coaches you have to find a way to get pressure because they're gonna anticipate as well to finally special teams, Mark they got a void mistakes. They don't have to be great on special teams as far as they just must avoid specialties mistake. USC by the way is blocked a field goal. The last two games out there and you'll you're talking about forcing turnovers. Neither these defense has done a good job of turning the ball over. In fact, the buffs have only got the seven turnovers three interceptions. A forced bubbles. USC only got three and more Bill. Tell just had their first interception two weeks ago that ballgame. So they're they're, you know, this is a team that he's not force turnovers. The buffs have not throwing or give the ball away in this ball game. But I think it probably a pretty good goal for both of these defense absolutely fail. We got down there. He's getting ready for this one gives us a feel of what it's like down there the field before the we get this one the way, Bobby. Hey, thanks, Mark this pretty lively crowd down here. The weather's great. I mean, it's beautiful out. No win. No nothing and waiting for these guys to come take the field. These fans are into it should be a pretty good atmospheric Bobby in a game. Like, this you play to this kind of atmosphere before take us through the mind of a Stephen Montanez, get ready to walk out this boss offense against you. I said, well, this is why you play college football appoint a place like this against the story programme like USC. And you know, he's just got to keep doing what he's doing play smart. Make good decisions. Take a big plays. Don't we lost bobby's microphone there for a second? We'll get that taken care of plate Helton as the head coach of USC data's third season. He has led the program to thirty in twelve record here. He's never lost a home game since he's been the head coach eighteen old thirteen straights impact whole coverage play. If you could say the coach or something, right? But I guess what are you getting four and five star recruits probably helps of course, it helps. But he has something to do with that. But he's spoiled. He doesn't know how the rest of his live for years. But that's a tribute to him and his players to this place into the the kind of support that he has here. But yeah, that's that's pretty impressive Mark. Or there is a connection on his staff del there. Ronnie Bradford you get a chance to say. Ronnie and actually Clancy Pendergast the thrower narrows was a graduate assistant under coaches under coach McCartney when I was here. So there's there's several puffs down there, Roddy breath. Of course was the national championship team in nineteen ninety. We told you earlier about the follow brothers know about two and Josh the linebacker for Colorado, but tight end who the buzzword curbing. But there's not a lot of action with those tidy interest offense. So we decided to become a US macaroni Bradford. He blocked the extra point. But Notre Dame attempted game for the national Tim. Ronnie Bradford came off the defense left side. Made a great play, and we win tend to nine. So he's a legend buffalo coaches and players. Yeah. He holds a special special place in Colorado history. Let's soap doesn't damage the history of Colorado with his Trojans here tonight except for the teams to retake the field. We're about six minutes away from here tonight, Colorado. Number eighteen in the coaches poll number nineteen or the gay people USC is got two losses. Both in conference as the Trojans coming in at three and two just a second time. The buffs have been ranked Trojans not put a big one here tonight with a victory. The buffaloes could take control the Pac twelve south is everybody. But Colorado with two losses. Blemished at three hundred. We'll see if they can get that streak off their back and snap a twelve game losing streak to Southern Cal. We'll take one final time. We've got the coin toss starting lineups and the opening kickoff coming up next one of the pack twelve glad you're with us tonight. We got football coming up after a break. This is Colorado football field. This is the Pepsi that your father drink and your grandfather.

"It's gonna go deep into the nights. Situationally, I'm just going to take the points. I think USC pulls it out. I am concerned about USC secondary in this game. It's not just a viscous Chenault. I think Colorado's able to move the ball with a number of of different options. I like Stephen Montanez allot against this pretty beat up, say Stephen or Stevie Stevie on his when I thought I heard it was enshrined. Uh-huh. And I like what I saw with Colorado's defense holding up pretty nicely against ASU last week. I think USC pulls this out. I think it's the first loss of the season for the buffs I I'm still not crazy about this USC defense or offense for that matter. I'm almost giving it away. They're no against Arizona and just USC once again is a team that has the ability has the playmakers has the depth to beat everybody on their schedule by thirteen to seventeen points and situationally they're just not they're they are. I don't. I don't know if it's a coaching thing. I don't know if it's a focus thing, but I do enjoy that. It's at home in l. a. I think they pull this one out in a bit of a shootout forty, five, forty one. We've got six games here. I've got these in the other games. Other notable gains with big point spreads bucket. I wanna go rapid fire. Okay. Just give me real quick. Quick. Kidder's twelve PM f s one Minnesota, a twenty nine and a half point dog on the road against a high of state who you got. Ohio State. I don't like Minnesota's offense and the defense was good, and now it's not. I'm to go how state as what we agree. We well PM SEC network Tennessee at Auburn. This line opened at Auburn minus eighteen. It's come down to Auburn, minus fifteen and a half. Dan who you got, I'm gonna take the points here. Tennessee's not particularly good. Auburn, just we saw them against low level SEC a couple of weeks ago and since against Arkansas few weeks ago and I don't know Tennessee on the roads scares me. I'll be honest with taking Tennessee points scares me, but I think Auburn wins this thirty two seventeen and that's good enough to cover. I'm going to go Auburn minus anything here. Tennessee's pretty dreadful there to thirty NBC pit at Notre Dame. Notre Dame, a three touchdown favorite Dan. Pit is pretty bad. Actually. Note. Breaking news in case you're playing the home game pits. Not been good this year. Notre Dame, of course coming off that win on the road in lane stadium a week ago. I don't know if I see much let down effect here for Notre Dame, but I am contractually obligated to go anyone plus the points against my Irish. So gimme pit. I am going to happily give those points. Pit's been terrible against the run ad as Notre Dame has been peaking on the ground. Pit is now even more beat up with the loss of a a linebacker captain. I'm going to take the Irish to comfortably win this game by thirty and call it forty seven sixteen three thirty on ESPN Baylor on the road at Texas. The line here opened at Texas minus seventeen is come down some to Texas minus fourteen. Is there a letdown affect your in play for Texas? After that big Texas is back ee program. Changing kind of win a week ago in the Cotton Bowl. Do you want to take like a. CSI forensic look at Texas schedule right now. Let's do it non marquee game against Maryland. They they play close in, lose non marquee game against Tulsa. They almost lose and look, sloppy marquee game against USC. They look great marquee game against TSE TCU. They look great at Kansas state non marquee game nineteen. Fourteen marquee game against Oklahoma. They pull it out in the end..

"Georgia and Missouri are much more lead offenses right now than I am. And this is a SEC game with both teams off wins, Tennessee and Mississippi State on deck for the for the teams. And I certainly leaning with the under in this game. All right. Let's go to game one. Fifty, five one fifty, six, Colorado, and USC and we talked a little bit about that Arezzo state Colorado game. Last week. I was having a hard time getting the buffaloes into a favorite role even being at home just because I wasn't really convinced about that body of work. We get to this game here, ten thirty eastern kickoff. So little Pac, twelve after dark Colorado, ranked in the top twenty a seven point underdog against the USC team that everybody thinks has been kind of a disappointment so far. USC has been kind of a disappointment for the last. I don't know how many years it's been incredible. I mean, USC right now they're five and fourteen ATS their last nineteen games and you look at their wins this year at Arizona by four, Washington state by three and UNLV by only eighteen. So everyone they've had hasn't been a cover. I, you know, I said, I wasn't sure about Colorado last week. I mean, they were very young team returning. I think the few starters are the second fewest and all of what ball with them. We ten starters, the schedule, we didn't know what to make of it. 'cause Colorado state. And then the brass co went out Martinez and UCLA still playing what they are Arezzo state that decent team as well as by far the best team they're playing, but they've done nothing wrong to me. They they've, they've played to the level you have you have Stephen Montanez who's completing six seventy five percent with an eleven to ratio and. And you know you say JT Daniels is a five star recruits and I'm on Ross state Brown. They five star wide receiver and Cedric wear is a great running back. But right now, I mean watching these teams play, I will take the trio of Stephen Montanez LA, viscous Chanel to if you haven't watched them has fifty one catches or any seven hundred eight yards and Trayvon McMillan with five hundred twenty eight, six point three..

"Back in the buffalo stampede Becker at Folsom field and afternoon affairs above Lewis look to improve to five at all, right? Number twenty one in the countries. They've got Arizona state here for family. We can't in boulder beautiful there for football the head coach joining us here for a couple of minutes, Colorado. Week thirty eight sixteen as the buffs league playing a Friday night under the lights with a victory over UCLA coach. That's that's the way the stadium's supposed to be that place was rocking last Friday night and the buffs so come out with a win. Yeah. It was. It was exciting has a lot of fun that student body was into it. Everybody was into it. It was electrifying and the second half our guys played really really, well, and you know, kind of finished them off. So I was really proud of how they did that, you know, seeing what the buffs have done. You get a comeback win at Nebraska, and that crazy atmosphere memorial stadium to do the same thing as a game. Like that says something about your team. Yeah. It does. They they don't blink. They just keep playing, and we kind of get better as the game goes along to and in some situations and coaches are making some good corrections and fixing some things and the players are listening and carrying it out. So there's no finger-pointing, and they're all unifies is excellent to see this is probably the sixty four thousand dollar question. But where does that come from with the team teams have it in some teams, don't they develop a chemistry? And hopefully, you know, I've tried to do a lot of different things with this team and hopefully one of them stock, and I think that's how helped a lot and they're they're really close. We did a lot of things with guys going out to eat lunch with each other and family groups do things and a lot of things besides a lot of things besides football. Because you really don't get to know anybody unless you spend time with them you can say you are. But you don't and I think that's what's happening, and they'll they like being around each other practice I like being around each other out out of practice hang out with each other. So they have that camaraderie. That's really special what we saw that a little bit in two thousand. And sixteen I think, but beyond the kind of that chemistry aspect when you get into a crucial situation, and it seems to be stacked against you. It's somebody makes a play kind of gets you over the hump does a team build confidence where they start to expect that kind of confidence, and they all know, they eight roles important and everybody every phase of the games important and just keep playing as hard as you can. And you know, you'll end up making plays, and they distrust each other. A lot of attention that rightfully so Stephen Montanez he's playing some pretty efficient football right now. But when you look at the tape, and you you see what he's been able to do what what are you? What's your analysis of him? Right. Stephen playing really really, well, he makes the whole train go and he's able to step up and get out of the pocket. He's able to run. He's very accurate. He's changing protections. He's locked in. And that's enabling all our guys to be able to make plays and he'll keep doing that. He'll keep making plays and we'll keep scoring points. Because he's he's good at it. Is that the byproduct of all the work that you bring occur Roper to kind of work specifically with quarterbacks, but also your offense helping him start to think.

"This isn't someone who just all of a sudden got good on that play. He's been solid all year. Third town at Tampa early twenty eight yard line. There's maybe a fly free play for the buffalo Throwdown the CPAP by Levinsky. He alludes defender. Into the end zone. Touchdown touchdown. Colorado. Looked like he was playing against the junior high schoolers in apart. They're a little bit to catch and was nonchalant Trump cut to his left and took it. Decline. The result of a play a touchdown twenty eight yard strike touchdown number eight of the season to season for Stephen Montanez and for Chenault that is his third receiving touchdown. That was right in the sea market, a balls really high Chenault went up high to catch that ball. Now. Here's a new we got a swing gate here for you're gonna get this on film and make everybody practice against it for the rest of the year. That's why you do it. They had what nine guys lined up over the far sideline. How they come back in a traditional setup. And it is James to find a lot kicking the PAT the thirty one year old sophomore swings through Halley bisects the uprights that chip shot. Brought to you by the National Golf Club. The official. Called course, silicon Buffalo's visit Colorado, National Golf Club dot com. After the Rick Gamboa interception. The buffaloes with a short drive and a touchdown. A twenty yards from Montanez. "The passing game didn't have big playability trace McSorley getting the ball down. The field was a challenge. Pit. We'll get after the quarterback pit has some things that they can do, but will they be able to run the football? Well enough. I think that's the whole key for the for the Pitt Panthers, establishing take some pressure off Kenny Pickett efficient day. Last weekend's and overmatched. Albany team. Colorado at Nebraska. Finally, Nebraska gets to start the season right? Last week's game against Akron. These Scott frost debut was weathered out is a now instead of opening against Akron, they've got to open up against a Colorado team that I think is better than people expected. It's a team that hammered what is now in Owen to Colorado state team last week, Stephen Montanez quarterback. We know the name by now four touchdown passes three incomplete passes. They ran the ball. Well, not an easy opener for these Scott frost era, but I can't wait to watch this team. It's going to be an atmosphere inside memorial stadium, unlike any they have seen in a number of years. There is an optimism in Nebraska that it's is such, you know, I lived there two years and I covered them for two glorious football seasons, and that is that is. To this day, my favorite fan base on the planet. They deserve a winning product. I hope they get a winning product. I hope they win today. I don't mind saying that I wanna see Adrian Martinez to Scott frost handpicked freshman quarterback from Fresno. Let's watch him against Colorado, but finally go big red can take the field with Scott frost his head coach. It'll be some good skill positions out on the field. You mentioned Montas LA, viscous, Chenault. I talked about him last young, sophomore dynamic, playmaker running catching in for Martinez. You have Spielman JD Smeal when you have Stanley Morgan junior, you got to key guys twenty outside on a printer can make plays in the passing game and maybe help out the freshman quarterback. Arizona's had Houston. What happened to the cats last week? Twenty eight twenty three. They get beat be by a BYU team that was just awful last year on thinking what happened Arizona's off a defensive line. Got pushed around by BYU, their offense of like, got pushed around by BYU Khalil Tate. BYU said, you know what? We know you can run show as you can throw and he couldn't beat him through the air and BYU with a masterful game plan that Houston would love to employ with the phenomenal at Oliver who had thirteen tackles in their win over rice. Last week's a road game for Kevin someone in Arizona. This is a team, a lot of people, including myself think can win the Pac, twelve south and Owen to start. If they lose today would not be what you want that games at noon eastern too. So this western team is playing a noon eastern time kick in Houston, eleven o'clock, local time. You can see it either on ESPN two or on your ABC. I'll tell you what I watched that game against BYU Arizona. I don't know what you hang your hat on. Where's the confidence com going on the road that early kickoff glutamate did nothing. They couldn't run the bobbers three, seven carry against BYU. Okay, you got it. All. You gotta try to block. It was destructive. Last week, you gotta team in Arizona that the defense failed to record a sack. I tell you what they gotta turn around quickly when you're going on the road and you got a got to be a team right now lacking in confidence about the Zona Wildcats and this is this is this is where I'd be worried if I'm Arizona is more than anywhere else. This, the biggest criticism of Kevin Sunlen when he was Texas am was toughness. It was toughness on the lines of scrimmage, and we saw no toughness on the lines of scrimmage. Last week BYU I understand is typically a bigger football team up front. I get it, but they should not have been able to push Arizona around the way that they did. And if AirAsia can't protect and allow Khalil Tate, who may be the best running quarterback in the country. One of them Cuyler Murray Khalil Tate. Phenomenal runners, right? If he can't find room to run, he won't be. You through the air. It will be a long season for Kevin someone in Arizona. That doesn't change. Yeah. And I think also for Houston, temper the enthusiasm and realize who they beat rice and then come back to do it. Yeah, exactly..

"By the way in this is not sarcastic legit and press by Stanford. Just like, no, because this is a team that VIN usually look ready to only football that's they did. They looked ready to play football first time, like four years Stanford's actually clocked in on time. Yeah, they figured out that they figured out that you can't get lower than a b at Stanford anyway, might as well focus on football a little bit. We'll show up for. Yeah. Okay. Yeah, yeah. Might as well show up for that because guess what? They gray Jonah curve in the classroom, but Stanford, but on the field. I'm sorry, sandy flat filter flat. That's right. Here's San Diego State, bro. The only curves we acknowledged are on these hot babes who were already. That were catch are just who are hot babes go to perfect ten is in the number of points we put up rocky longest had exquisite sheet though he does, and he could take them freshly bruised from beating pans of Stanford thirty one tenth into the next game. Kind of an unexpected ask you in there because Colorado state it was forty, five, thirteen buffs I Stephen Montanez he was twenty two for twenty-five. Y'all. I feel like one thing we've learned so far this year is that Colorado state is bad. Yeah, no, they're very bad. They're not good. They were going to suffer this year suffer badly. They're going to let quarterback on a college field do things like only miss three passes out at twenty-five. Those were drops. Can you hear that weed whacker by the way. No, but that would be appropriate since the live show did have, but Elliott every time we talked about Florida state's issues come on with a giant leaf blower play because I wasn't really audience. Blew my computer off the table way. Did it? Yeah. Y'all really can't hear this loud as hill. I love what he's doing play traditional. Things they look different everybody's talking about a two man line we read that in the. Paper And it's, really a four-man line he's, using two linebackers on the outside there. Are a little bit different, because of personnel and this four man line is a nickel defense which is kind of become the standard he's got a three-man line. Which is what the beavers featured last, year he's got kalani, in the middle or end illu and. Better a better opportunity to go. To their conference championship like I think outside of USC I really think. That that division with c. you is pretty open CU. You has a lot returning But a lot is riding on Stephen Montanez. If that dude's not right Then the buffs aren't going anywhere because they need to rely on him even. More than they did last year because they had Philip Lindsey last year So I would say that air, force even though air force is not as good of a team as c. you just because of how good USC is I.
