"I mean, the only curious thing here is they took a lot of flack for giving Stephen Adams, the contract they did, and then they kind of turned around and gave Valentine's Steven Adams level money, give or take a couple of million. But still, I think it's a solid deal for a big man that admittedly, I'm a fan of. I really enjoy his game just being that kind of throwback brute force center. Yeah, next year he'll be on the books for 14.7 ish million. It looks like. Which is that's actually believe it or not, that is over 3.2 million under what Adams makes next year. So that's actually that's a meaningful amount of money. Just kind of another fun little note. They have exactly one free agent now planned for next year and that's Tomas on a run ski. Everybody else is signed in under contract. And then they have Josh hart on that very unique structured deal where it's got non guarantees and a non guarantee with a player option, which is very rare and it's final year. But yeah, I think this is perfectly fine for the pelicans. Valentinus is 29 now. I think he's a guy who should age well because he's never been relying on his athleticism. He's always been a pretty ground bound guy. But I think with the way he is out of range to his game in that, that's really going to help. I think he's somebody we don't do a ton of this, but if you're a fantasy basketball player, go get them on Zions out, 'cause I think he's gonna eat inside. I think he's gonna get the ball and do a lot of stuff. Do you have that moment for this team? There you go. And I've never said that, so I can't even take credit for that. That's right. But yeah, but yeah, I think this is a good deal for the pelicans..

"Justin. I gotta walk. I think for sure. I mean one thing if you're competing on two tracks other teams are on one track have been inherent advantage because they can all push the same direction. I will just push back on. The ballot in stephen adams thing valley. Tunis averaged seventeen points per game last year at seven points per game like adams really not an offensive threatening more unless he's like directly in the pick and roll if he's doing anything else he's just taking up space basically. I think that's a huge loss for the team. I'm not a big atoms guy. I think he's kind of bring towards the end of his career at this point. Yeah better yeah he. He's certainly better i. I don't know though like you. Mead stephen adams to be a dynamic offense afforest when you have all out there has to be a threat to score just kind of out there a lot of times. He's a great screen center. Yeah i i think a lot of is also just injuries which like that comes with the territory. Twenty eight years old. Somehow i know i know. He's thirty five. His body has broken down. I don't know. I think the trade off of getting higher draft pick was worth it for a team and i just think it's an interesting. It's for sure worth it. But it's going to have an impact this season that drop off but the long i i think is worth it. We shall see all right. That's it for the second edition of the group shepherds in power rankings. Thank you for joining me. Thank you to sasha ashland production We'll be back with part three and let me tell you. The mavs are in his teeth back..

"Submitted. You gotta you gotta be persisted. It'd be day. So that's what i did. I just stayed at it And i interviewed. Like maybe didn't land jobs but i interviewed felt like during that time like i got a chance to refine those skills through the whole process so like when i first got back i was super choppy and my interviews like stuttering kind of repeating myself a little bit so no wonder i get those jobs but i started to catch on to that and then you know what started to get different jobs still continuing to reach out and i did the interviews and more second interviews came. Danny get those jobs but then it was like all right like i saw what that looked like it was kinda like layers to it and i started to get offers job offers after offers and he kind of became like for me like an opportunity to pick what i wanted to do which was awesome so actually i had accepted a job to work in chester. Pa for power home remodeling. I was going to be in talent. Acquisition and You know it was going to be a little bit of commute about an hour day. But i was just like you know what was good. Money benefits all dislike. He puts family to position. I'll do it. Sounds fun and then started all over little bit commute. It's going to be a it's gonna. it's gonna put a lot of stress on a lot of people around me. So i started reevaluate a little bit and kept interviewing during that time though like even though i accepted the position i still wanted to work these skills and interview and honestly with teaching job. I took it took the interview thinking like oh probably only going to be able to interview here because because you know they're not gonna want me and based on my situation and everything you know got going on and ended up offer me the job on the spot and i was just like serious like i thought it was a joke and they were like no like. We're very impressed with you. And we would love you to work for us. And i was like. That's i mean that's awesome. When when when do i start essentially so ended up switching gears and getting into teaching role and spent the last couple of days there You know with our inservice days and kind of just learning to you. Know what i'm gonna be doing. And how many working and its signing skits dove as awesome all right so so. What's your recommendation to anyone. Trying to chase their dream on becoming Whatever it is they want to be. Whether it's a professional athlete a teacher In your actual experience a lot of times we do get some very cliche things where there's a reason why they're cliches because a lot of these things are actually true just as it genuine coming out of the person's saying so in your opinion experience recommendation. Whatever you wanna call it. Someone's out there literally doing wanting to become everything you're doing. What would you say to them. There's man the biggest thing. I'd say it ain't over till it's over man. It's going to be over when you want it to be over. So see that through the scope like really understand what that means to yourself like that. What does whatever you're doing mean to you. If you means a lot to you you need to be putting everything into a achieving that accomplishing and doing whatever you need to do to obtain. And if you're not doing all those things he becomes a reevaluation. Okay well what am i doing wrong. What should i be doing right then. It becomes a breakdown of of you know little things people around yourself. Are you treating yourself the way you need to be treated. Are you putting yourself in the best position or the people around you doing the same. Are they treating you. Are they looking out for your best interests like it becomes an entire thing but it ain't over till it's over man like if you want it to be over and you wanna put your time and energy into something else. Don't do that. Yeah but if you truly believe this is what you're supposed to do. You truly believe that this is your destiny. Then go get him in and go through the ups and downs of that process. Embrace every little part of that journey and understand that when you wanted to be over it will. But if you keep going and keep fighting anything's possible man. A love so so Before we close things out with trae we'll start with you any parting words And then how folks can follow you and your mission. Of course yes. We gotta a conversation for today. We just want to say that we all take a moment to check mental health. Mac miller actually passed away three years ago as a today so definitely take a moment to check your mental health. If you feel like something's bothering you even a little bit or a lot. Just tune in with somebody i think. Sometimes i'm over dramatic. And i say like you know i don't really have bad days but like we all do it can't just be. Oh because i'm alive. It's a good day like realistically going to have a good day. But that's why they make tomorrow's and there's a lot of artificial stress so if you can't control it you can't stress it. That's the best thing i can tell. You can't control it. You can't stress it. i love it so you can follow me on instagram. that's o. M. t. t. m. underscore lifestyle and As well as twitter oh tm to and we have an announcement coming out later this month. "I'm going to give a lot of kudos to my growth with a lot I i don't know. I'm still just getting my feet late in the game honestly You know my son. He has been born yet. But we've been doing a lot of prep for and just taking. You know all the precautions we can. You know our health and everything As well as getting everything set up in terms of like the bass and clues washed. Put away all that stuff. So it's been fun though you know going through that experience with her and sharing that with her so i'm getting prep for everything so it's been doing that and then you know. Start up this new teaching job I'm really excited about It's with brookefield academy and i'm working as a homebound teacher where i'm going to hospitals and working with inpatient and outpatient students who suffer from either special education needs or behavioral needs So i'm really excited about it. It's a good opportunity for me and you know. Obviously you know. It allows me to do the things i wanna do. Still take care of my family. Be with my family and you know. Have the flexibility to still train and play football so You know it's a lot. There's a lot of moving parts there and You know. I say that a lot. But i've always been the one to take a lot on my shoulders and and take strong like if it's going it's going to come and i'm going to deal with it and just deal with the head on and i feel like that's what i've done had to take these steps as a man to do what you have to do and I feel like. I put myself in a good position. You know with all the things that i've had to do so far so right now kind of feels like you know. Just keep doing things. I'm doing with the school. Keep training and and you know just ultimately like keep trying to be the best that can be as a person and and it's gonna come together the way it's supposed to yeah absolutely So you graduated from delvalle so you you. What's your degree in. And then how'd you shift like you always knew you wanted to be a teacher. Yeah yeah i'm. I'm a secondary ed major so i always knew. I wanted to teach definitely wanted to coach. I mean. I've really coached for most of my life since i was ten years old. I've been coaching You know at that time there was basketball now. I've transitioned into football. Coaching but still coach for a long time. So i've always liked working with kids whether they're younger me whether it's my peers and i feel like that's always come with the territory as well like if i was an upperclassmen. Say you know working with an underclassmen. You know i'm coaching them. Like i'm working with them so it's always kind come naturally to me and my dad's coach spent a lot of time with my dad growing up. You know. he coached me. Put me around a ton of great coaches as well. So i've just kind of feel like. I have a really good just a ton of knowledge right now. I can share with kids and ultimately no perspective as well. You're mind through my experiences and ultimately just give them a different perspective now to help level them out as high schoolers and again just put them in the best position to be successful. you know. that's just what's most important to me You know being in this. Roy's giving them feedback. That's going to be positive enough for them to you know. Continue to do things they want to do in. They're passionate about. I love it. I love that matter of fact you know scary. I'm thinking about it now. Well two things one. I went to dell for business. And i had no idea why agree business but him in john jones. Yes the first thing. I thought of that. Yeah we were just all together to weeks ago. Just thought about it. So they're doing amazing things man legendary but just the opportunity to inspire. I don't know man like kids. Need inspirations outside of like you know making athletes they're here like professional athletes. They need to see role models men. And you know you got a couple of examples in here and and there's plenty of examples of people like that out there. But if i'm not going to be in that professional athlete raw i still want to be in that position to inspire and change you know and help kids and you know do what can for them so i love it so explain a little bit about landed. The job right was maybe a little bit about that process. And maybe someone listening Wanting to land a similar job you know what was the process like for you I know we're in a totally different era With these kinds of things so explain a little bit about that sure The process was really difficult. Actually i started applying as soon as i got back from the spring league for different different jobs. I wanted to start working right away and it was kind of like i couldn't land the right gig. I really just kind of put myself out there. I knew i had a bachelors and that there's value in that I also trust my skills and you know the resume that i put together over the years so i really just kind of took a shot in the dark and just started applying to a ton of places i can pull up my indeed right now show you. I had over ninety nine applications submitted. It's like something it's got to be near one hundred fifty applications submitted because it's not showing natural numbers says ninety nine plus but it's gotta be near one hundred fifty applications.

"I know he's working his tail and he knows i'm working my tail Can you talk a little bit of that on that. Yeah i mean you know it could even go down to a relationship monetary like you know he text me like a go get it you know or even our friend bugs and you guys have have show. He'll he'll take april eight. Go go be great today. You know what i mean. Those little things they they they sparked something in. I don't know when you're motivated. They should and i. I feel like you know whether it's your best friend or whether you know it was a college teammate. Or a roommate or whatever. The case may be like if they're pushing you to be better. There's somebody you want around and vice versa. If they're putting themselves to be better like you should want them around. Because like i've said it a thousand times you're a product of your environment and you're going to fall into whatever is going on around you if it's positive then you're you're probably going to be on a positive note and if it's negative you're gonna fall off so it's about just finding people who want to be as successful as you do and then want you to be as successful as you a love it so where do you where do you want to see yourself How do you want twenty twenty one to end twenty twenty two to start if you could if you could just penetre outright here. I mean the tangible stuff. I mean i. I guess like would be to be with a roster in some fashion. Weather's practice squad on the active roster and competing again on me and playing ball again That's the goal. Why i'm working the way i am and why you know. I'm continuing to stay on this track staying in the business and the game You know but ultimately like the biggest thing i want for myself is just to keep finding ways to learn every day like if i do that i know i'm just going to continue to get better as a man and and that's really just what i want for myself. I think that's what's gonna put me in the best position. You know no matter where i ended up. It's what's going to be the best girl it's going to be the best for my son And so it's going to be best for the people around my family and my friends so you know. I'm just really eager to continue to grow And just to continue to find you know learn more about myself sucking continue to be the best version of myself a love so trey on outside looking in but as at a closer range than anyone else possibly listening you know. What do you see. Stephen adams for yemi. You reach out to me like you know. We've got to get him back on. I know you saw even like the the mindshift on him grown as a man so to speak on that. And you know your relationship gave the relationship is is very unique because again when we first met the first thing you say living come from jersey being pa From but you know you break that ice you get comfortable with that and then you see especially at at at delve vow. See we don't have. It's not like dean school where you bring in a certain amount of people we bring in whoever we bring in the best of the best temple wherever you come from. You're like he's won two championships as a quarterback in high school like they bring in the best of the best like no joke so just seeing the patients that it took him to transition from a quarterback to be at the college level was amazing and then on top of that the that he put in me being older than him seeing him getting us together and how to let less be more disciplined. Not talk about what we're going to do after practice but and right now while in. The weight room was being the weight room. Yeah you see has discipline. You see how bad he wants it. And you just seen the growth growth and growth me being on a bunch of as well watch him a buddha over my what he's doing this thing i'm steven. Please like kick it out of bounce. We get rid of a defense next like you. Just see how bad he really wanted his passionate and that's the same thing that will to the moon's about hard work dedication focus in that sacrifice. He could do everything he wants in the world right now to just relax and call it a day like he'd be at home edges complaining about his nine to five but everybody here has taken a little sacrifice and do that little extra in your life. He's doing like you say you got to boots on and to pair of socks so he's doing double duty. Meaning dad playing football having a social life. Like you said somebody you want to be around e gab balanced he. I don't even talk to them every day. And as long as i know mental health is good. I saw that matter. So it motivates me everyday to keep going. Even when i'm tired to the yesterday was just a holiday. we could have just. We'll push it back another week like let's get it done this week. Yeah so that's what it takes. I love it All right steve showed up fishing as beautiful thing So let's talk about that right about work. Life experience balance. Whatever you wanna call it. I know People look at it differently. How are you managing all these moving parts for you. What works for you. I don't know man. And i.

"Twenty five years old You know coming off my first professional opportunity and and you know hopefully more things on the way but it's the point that like i'm still having these opportunities to live out my dream and i'm still here and i'm still fighting and i'm kickin and i'm going at it and that's how i'm gonna go out. You know what. I mean like if i'm going to go out that's the best way to go out fighting so do ski fire. I love it all right so you talked a little bit about working on your mental suit. Speak a little bit about self help and is there anything. You're doing to make those adjustments and become stronger upstairs like are you reading books or you talking to someone explain a little bit about that process. I think you know it's it's definitely like continued to communicate with your team at all times. Man keep the people who are close to you close to you you know. Don't be afraid to express your feelings and share who you are like. Got nothing to hold back with those people you know. Sometimes you put on a front and it's like you want to be toughen. You wanna be strong. But it's like you can be vulnerable and expose these feelings and emotions and you're still going to be okay. Yeah i mean for me. I would say it's just keeping up with my people continuing to pray And and you know honestly just just any thoughts. If i have to write them out write about if i have to say say like you know. There's sometimes i mess around. And i'm in the car and i'll like rap or something. I'm not a good rapper. But like i'll do it just to express and get some some stuff out in like you know i've just found that very healthy stuff out and then see it like this. This thought makes sense. And if it makes sense than green like okay now you're thinking good way but if it doesn't end questionable at least you see visually you're seeing. That's what's my mind and you got it out so now it's moving forward from them so talk a little bit about the those around you right. Like what kind of feedback. O'day let's talk about what it is to have a good team around you. Because i've been fortunate enough to have a dope team around me my whole life. My family's very tight knit just part of our culture. But i've i didn't take that for granted ever and so we've capitalized on on that. In a healthy way where we've all had the ability to grow and learn of each other And get feedback. Sometimes the feedback wanna hear. But it's the feedback. You need to hear so so talk about that. That's the most important part is right there. It's like transparency. Yeah like i feel like the most genuine like fluent relationships are the ones where you're just being authentic and real and not holding back You know you have to be able to hear someone like you're saying that tough stuff that you don't want to accept yourself but it's the point that those people are willing to tell you that because it's for the better for you in the long run Overlooking your feelings and really just looking out for your best interest to the big thing with your team like your team's got solid and not afraid to tell you when you're wrong even tell you when you're right not just going to give you praise all the time but also now just going to give you hate like they have that very healthy balance and being between and keeping you level because it's obviously it's cool you know when you got friends who joke with each other all the time but if all they're doing is joking time then that probably means that's all you're doing. So what are you doing seriously together. You know that environment is that healthy for you. Is that going to be the most beneficial environment for you. Keep you on track or your priorities. Straight All those things come into factor. So it's really just evaluating down on a deeper level and understanding like if this relationship isn't the best for me not being afraid to walk away from me and just understanding like five ten twelve years from now. I'm going to be better off because of the so one of the biggest things i've said and i had while i'm gonna i think it's valuable to you. Know maybe kids or someone else. Listen out there needs to hear having having a support from those around you because they strictly just love you versus Them truly believing in you in your dreams. Would you have to do your part in that. They have to see you actually working. They have to see you actually going after things as misconceptions that oh you don't support me. Anything he because it's kind of every time i see you're joking around. How much supposed to take gaining. Take yourself series or you're not taking what you're saying serious enough. Where's the sacrifice at. Where's the hard world once you put that stuff in do. I'll go with you. Whatever you gotta do a back you up a support you and everything but it's hard maybe if you're not getting the support maybe chin check yourself or look yourself in the mirror. Are you doing everything you possibly can to get. That support earned that support. Do because a lot of times. It doesn't necessarily have to come from quote family members. It could be that really good friend. Who's always putting you on or always. Has that healthy conversation with you. I have a buddy. We barely ever see joe. Well first of all he lives in california and i live in pennsylvania but when we get on the phone joe. It's like not that it's cutthroat but we're going straight at each other do what are you. Do you got to believe me. Do i feel so good leaving those conversations..

"I didn't get any love from the scouts is okay though. Know one of my biggest proponents in all of this. Mike mccabe who saw something. He saw the talent he saw. I needed somebody to seeing me this whole time. W linked with him and constantly over the last two years been traveling from jersey to alabama to florida to atlanta to houston texas. I mean all over the place to train with this guy and ultimately charm put myself in the best position to get recognition. First year coming out. I didn't feel like i was ready. Mentally i needed mature. A little bit need to grow up and then on the other side of that as well i needed to actually learn the position and understand the technique and apply what i was learning Ensure enough you know things have come together really well for me I think i've shown that in front of the scouts I think i've shown that to him and he's found it worth his time to continue to work with me and invest is time to me so it's just been a grind nonstop and When i got that call in april you know that. I had this opportunity to play ball again. I mean it was just like varnish weight off the shoulders finally get. That was literally two weeks after our show our show. I said that. I show in april and i was telling the guys i'm like he likes spoke that into existence. That was the craziest do manifest things all the time and and i work at the wake. Do to physically. What someone else do it like it before. My eyes and i saw it before the phone call. But i told you that before. He got something he has it. Whatever it is they need you at this. Point is the way. I kept seeing them like dude. The league needs you right And it was just something special. And then like i keep going back to. You did everything you were asked and more you way more And so i appreciate even then the move. A lot of people stay stuck like well. I guess it is what it is. The agent really worked the expectations. Or what i thought was the best result and you move on to another like yoga. Man's really doing everything possible to put himself in a good position they also options modrica and persistent with the things you want in life. You know what. I mean and You know in this time you know. Everybody knows i'm going to have a child. I'm gonna have to be a father soon here. I wanna show my kid like you do everything you can to live out your dreams and make things some reality man. 'cause it's possible remember. We had those bracelets and can't say all in and we kinda we took it from a. I think i mentioned something about when you go to casino. You see people and they really go all in like they. Either all in all out with alaska. We'll yes what are you gonna do when we are really going to invest everything you have into it and come over water. Are you gonna just wait it out and see you know what i mean. Yeah so sometimes you gotta take advantage. You got to be all in whatever you really want to do. So basic observation from the last time we talked. You seen way more confident than not that you weren't confident before it. Just there's just like a stone cold. Look in your eyes ears like i did every now. You're just like komo and universe like this. Because i did everything you asked me to and i don't want that to come off the wrong way because i was in a healthy way. I'm just saying. I really am still putting in the work and i'm doing a lot of work on the mental side of these Which i just think it's important. Man like shifted my focus on blocked in on everything i want. And it's also it's kinda to the point where it's like i needed. You know what. I mean like i feel close enough to the point where like i can almost touch it and it's like once it's once it's there once it's obtain ken grab it. I'm going to run with it. I'm just really excited for that. I'm just being patient Putting my time in pay my dues. And i i know it will come around. 'cause are truly believe good things come to those who work are was the the biggest lesson learned. I guess this year from the time we spoke in april two. Now it's september and it can be anything. What was your biggest lessons. Learned that allowed you to grow mentally. I would i would say it's just to be patient. You know like and that's easy to say very hard to do but you know it's just like really be patient with yourself. I take your time. Don't rush like everybody says. Trust the process. I'm not gonna say that. I just just don't rush. You feel like a lot of times you know. We want to be somewhere. We're just not there and it's like okay. Well how can i take fast this to get there and we try to force it and we try to force it. It's like you're not doing it naturally so if it doesn't come natural to you then it's probably not for you. You know what i mean. So i decided to take a step back and slow down a little bit and just understand like this is a blessing that i still have the opportunity to play ball..

"I was looking at my experience from the spring league and compare without. It's like night and day because you know delvalle you know. I've got my brothers. Their lifelong bonds. I mean we were grinding for four straight years together some of us four and a half five because he knows how to stay with the spring the and it was cool man like being in that professional environment. You know. we're all got guys who've been in the league been around you guys like myself who added and then everywhere in between so it was good to just get to know those guys and to be with them and learn from them. But i just didn't think it was a long enough time period for us to really like build that cohesion that a lot of teams build a love it and so when you come back what was that like. Are you just saying in your mind. Like i did my thing. You're you feel good about what you did and your life continues. And once i get that call i mean. I felt they're leaving. I was the best player in the spring league. And i don't believe that i'm the only one who feels that way I've had my head coach down on that. And he felt the same way and love coaches from around. the league. felt the same so coming out of that that that time playing there really felt like something was gonna shake my way. Some some opportunity was gonna come out the gate whether it was just a workout whether it was a camp invite something like my whole thought process. Was you know if i can show them now. Here in june may june that you know i can play. I can do the same thing in august when you see me camp. I do the same thing in september so just kind of carry that momentum into that those opportunities and it's just been a little quiet. Yeah you know. I haven't really been sure why that's the case again. I averaged forty seven yards apart. Wow net was was thirty nine and a half so again when you're working in those scenarios like that's pretty sad it's only eight yards returned and again like i put the film out there. I thought i feel very confident. What i did but just been too quiet so actually i made a move myself. Just just a personal business decision. I ended up moving on from my agent have now hired with a new agent with a new agency so just trying to take any steps to get my foot in the door and get these opportunities because i feel like they're there. Do i love that man. So explain how how the agent any how that process works and in your opinion what were they should be doing. I feel like an agent like their job is to facilitate opportunities for you point being they know more people than you do of and they've been around and this environment they've worked through. They've got contracts. They've done all these. You know very professional things to the point where they have these relationships that they can count on and they can get your foot in the door like. That's what i think in agent is for unless you know you're like a first round pick where you have an agent to ultimately help you with your finances and facilitate business decisions and stuff like that. Sure i'm not there. I'm i'm d three pointer for me like you know. In my opinion my agent has to represent me the way. Like if i if i had the same connections i would represent myself. They're an extension of you. There are part of your team And they got to be willing to offer you. Just do whatever they can get you these opportunities because the benefits are there for both. You have not only financially but you know he gets another player. Who here she gets another player in the business and you know that's more and recognition so it's kind of a hand in hand thing and you guys worked together collaborate and i guess i just wasn't there with this sage had before Great guy. I appreciate all the work. He did for me But i just felt it was a good time for me to go in a different direction. And see what i can do for myself because you know as you guys know met this crosshairs in my life where things going on and you know big things coming and you know. I kind of want clarity. Like if it's not there and it feels like it's not there. I can accept that as a man hundred percents like i told you i left the spring league very proud and very happy with what i did An opportunity post college which i wanted just one opportunity so that was the case i do but at the same time. It's like okay. Well we did all that so if something can come from it i wanted to come from. It's gonna put my family in the best position absolute so obviously having you on on a previous episode just listening to the back story i genuinely and i get the chills. I feel every last summer on. I said the same thing. I generally feel like you're doing everything you're supposed to be doing. There's there's misteps you're literally everything they've asked you to. You've done and then superseded expectations and everything so for the folks who didn't listen to to forty. Can you explain all work you did. Between twenty nineteen an leading up to that phone call in the spring. Yeah you know. I've really you know went out on a limb and went down to texas coming out of college a dove our and had an invite at this college gridiron showcase i was one of the only division i think i was the only division three pointer there. And you know how to chance to compete in front of these guys in front of scouts. And you know..

"And i say it proudly come from small school. Small town hamlets in new jersey and That's really it. that's why i love it. I love it here. Talk trae for those of us who you are and what you do. Let us know. Of course of course jerry hall of some small town as well about twenty minutes north diva near Southbound zwick jimeta delvalle currently i I work in farm. But i also own nonprofit organization which would give back to the community. We waste do financial education or financial literacy pure discussion groups to allow kids that platform divorce out there. Of course we as adults often no feel that we have that platform as well. Not least you know. Our canned drives food drives. We just did a drive actually last week at mitchell mentor. School in southwest philadelphia. Give buffalo hundred kids book bags. folders you know notebooks pen pencil video or one of the videos. How did that even come about as crazy vow. Tim scott why tens gonna difference megan difference because typically you know i say this every time we have on he's legit and he has these drives food is typically a food drive right and this was. I saw school supply. So it's totally different. Obvious it's you know we're back in sessions now so Beautiful things man. We appreciate it all right so stephen. Let's jump right in. Its sports talk last time you were on the show. A lot has changed. You were training for the next level and talk a little bit about how far you've come several changes Developmentally just let's phyllis in man. It was it was crazy. I think the last time we spoke defensive where we're going to go really unclear a couple weeks later. I got a call from a coach tetreault and it was just a dream. Come true managed opportunity to play ball in outside of college No one of the few to say. I have so right then and there was a dream. Come true but when i got down to houston again it was all business back to play ball again and again i wanted to prove coach cottrell right. You're bringing me on. You know part of the reason. I even brought me. We have that delvalle connection played back in the day. Adobe music legend but you know he he he had said you know we got a rep delvalle. We gotta do it the right way and i took that to heart so you know i appreciated the opportunity really got an opportunity to. We had one of the worst offense in the league. So you know. I had a chance to to showcase. You know what i did. And who i am and i thought i did that in a very high fashion and here we are today. I love. I love it so so explain. Where did you have to go where you know. How does that even work once. You get the phone call what happens yes so there is a couple of weeks in between when i got the phone call and when i ended up going down but you know we pretty much arranged the travel plans and then we flow down houston. I played in one of the four teams that was in the houston division with the blues and there was another four teams in indianapolis which ended up competing at the end for the championship. So i was in houston for about eight weeks and it was an awesome experience You know we got put up in hilton and and you know they took care of us and that was our you know our pay for being there. Essentially yes Opportunity to be in a professional environment work with professional coaches and and you know play on national television again showcase my abilities and very thankful for the opportunity. That's so cool. So so what happens from here. Is there any steps steps afterwards or is kind of You know showcased Your skills and maybe something in the future can happen like how does that work. Yeah i mean now. The films out there like i think what what was really important for a guy like me you know coming from a small school delvalle. We don't get that national recognition that that attention that one programs bring to the table so for me. I kind of needed to be on a national stage. Can i play on national tv. I think that was important to show right away. But then it's also you know playing with the just the pressure of being in a professional environment with that. What's that look like my chance to show how i developed from you know. Once i left year one to year two to now be two and a half out showed them that development in that progress So now we're at a point where it's up to the teams to see that film. If they like it then the work out bring in you know that goes well. It's an opportunity from there but maybe didn't do enough and maybe opportunities come so right now it's really just at that point where it's up to the teams and make the calls so explain a little bit about what's in your opinion or your experience. Is there a difference. And what is that difference when it comes to not necessarily coaching but the locker room the environment is there any difference or is it that it bring you back into that holy smokes on football football so being in the football environment. It's going to get you pumped up and it took me back through. I you know. I'm not saying that it's not possible but for me being there for only six to eight weeks playing with those guys made it very hard for you to connect with one hundred percent. You have the opportunity to connect with guys in college. So you know when..

"To future first round picks including the tenth overall pick in thursday's drop this is all according to sources telling woke. So who do you think benefits most from this deal. Nick richard first glance. I was like well. New orleans looks pretty good balance. Tunis can play. They got off a couple of mistakes in adams and that bledsoe deal. But then i was like you've got time to go after some more pieces. But then i look at what memphis got back in those two picks. They hit all the time. You've got josh. You've got brooks. You've got jacks and all the guys on that bench that young core that has developed. They hit every time they take swings. They like somebody and it's very clear that they do in that top ten. It's going to be there for them in. This is a team. That almost feels like a college program. They play guys in their system. They know how to plan to taylor. Jenkins climbing knows which buttons to hit behind the scene. So this group knows what to do. And i think there's grizzlies team Is ready to take another big swing in the draft. Let's stay with the memphis side for a minute because the timeline for the grizzlies. They have this great luxury. The idea that here you go you have young stars who played so well early that you can draft players now better still on their time line. I mean that's crazy. Normally by the time someone is is a good as john. Mirant is he's five or six years in. He's not just a couple of years in so this let them kind of create even more of talent nucleus all around the same age group. Now on the pelicans side it is fascinating so they dropped back seven spots in the draft but get a ton more cap flexibility that will let them either match an offer sheet to lonzo ball or look for a point guard but the bottom line new orleans is there is a win now feeling there which is not normally what you would expect just a couple years after you get a number one overall talent like zion williamson but that pressure is already there on them right. I mean when a championship. Right now. I just i don't get into the playoffs. Have a winning record mode the the issue for new orleans. What were they doing bringing in those deals in the first place. They've corrected some mistakes. That's all well and good but who is coming to new orleans. This has been a problem for years and years. Who's going there. You've gotta develop your own guys and now you've given up a couple more picks. I understand that they're trying to win. With ion just seems like there's a lot of uncertainty as there always is in that organization and if this deal doesn't work at june doesn't instantly come in and and make a difference. Then where do you go. Well i like the depth that valentinus gives us gives them and look. We got chris bosh. So let's get. Hello chris bosh. We've got the technology to work. I'm very happy to see your face. We are talking about this trait. That went down yesterday. And it moves owners valance soon as to new orleans and i was just talking about the extra dimension he gives them you played against him the fact that he can't shoot and had i think we'll to look at the stats but i think it was either his best season or close to his best season. Ever this past season. How do you think he can help. Zion williamson you can definitely ease one of those players. You can plug in and be successful right away. He can't stress the floor and he is a big body that can control the paint. Rebound you know lay some would in in the paint. The challenge in my opinion is how you play him together. Zion played a lot of minutes at the five last year. And i think they did have success with him picking enrolling. He's one of the most tremendous outside of janas. These probably one of the most tremendous guys in and around the pain area as far as finishing his concern. But i think in my opinion if you look at it memphis just wins this trade by far more picks you know they okay. You get an even swapping bigs between stephen adams and balanced tunis. But they also get bledsoe so he can be in a position where he's coming off the bench and really aiding this fast young memphis grizzlies team and you know. I think they have a tremendous upside right now. I think stephen adams you can plug him in right away. He's going to be able to get guys. Open for moran to have a big like stephen adams that's always a luxury because he's gonna look protect him and this guy's opened but all in all they got more picks they got pretty much even trade on the bigs and they got eric bledsoe deal and it's opt-in protected pick. I mean you have to say that memphis walks away. The winner in this new orleans feels like they've got the better of the deal in terms of the big man. Just because valentine is can do a little bit more a little bit more dexterous on the court but your point about stephen adams so well taken and i know memphis is not grit and grind officially anymore or even in their style of play. But i do think the people of memphis who still have that left over we work hard. Were grimy we do the work. I think they will really really like having stephen adams on their team. I want to switch over to. What's going on here in los angeles leonard recovering from acl surgery. He also decision to make regarding his player option for next season he has the ability to opt out and become a free agent. He could opt for one more year just sort of kick the can down the road or he could potentially sign extension. Chris you have been in this situation yourself. What do you expect quite to do. Do you think that he'll remain with the clippers in one of those variations. Think they should run it back. You can arguably look at this last season. And i'm sure why can say man. We could have won an nba championship. If i don't go down they weren't one hundred percent plan. The phoenix suns and potentially say that they could match better with the bugs in that final series but him kind of not being able to finish the season and still of having the success that they had you know playoff p. Make sure that he earned rightfully earned. He came and he showed up. And i think they all put on display. Why should return. They've got a great coaching staff. They've got great pieces. I think they can make a couple of more moves. Maybe be even be active in the trademark. It a little bit but you definitely want to run it back there. If you're in that position is not easy to be a top four team in the and if you're on a top four team should stay put i think you should retool it and i think you know they'll have a chance to be one of the best teams in the nba. Compete for championship. next year. With a healthy kawai with chris. Because if you're that close to a title if you feel that comfortable about being at home why would you not just stay rehab and then come back if you can at the end of the year and if you can't you give yourself a whole stretch of of being with the staff that You know you develop delete some kind of comfort level with and you've got your own people that can take a look at you whenever you want if i take Take that one more year..

"Out in california calls all of the relevant when the seasons start. And oh and ben simmons get traded. Trust me gotta go somewhere else and do work is still being all star level player. Absolutely and i'm going to be a die easy fan of that team no matter what team is in the national basketball association. Jalen rose moving onto a player that you always have some insight on and that is a trade between the pelicans and the grizzlies and i say jonas ballot soon. Because you know the yoenis balance use was very imperiling. The grizzlies success this season. He is now going to be on. The pelicans stephen adams in a pick move. Move to the grizzlies. Mr rose what do you think. The real significance of this move is to open up. The floor pajama ranks ability to drive kind of like when we just said indirectly about joel embiid balance unis has been a productive. Big right a double double guy that can get you a couple of blocks for me. He was this season third most important player behind job mirant. And you know how much. I like dillon brooks and i'm glad he made his name for himself and so on paper scranton initially or paper. This is a little head-scratching. Because stephen eight hundred give off. Its he hasn't given a productivity. Recently eric bledsoe with the pelicans moved off from him. When the butts moved off from eric bledsoe daily win won a championship withdrew holiday and so to me sees more of a salary dump to try to acquire more assets. And i'm not overall upset at it for either eighteen zion's gonna need to play alongside of this holiday him. Becca get some post offense lading gains. Here's what i want you to watch for. Who the pelicans have on the floor. Dass to keep because to me was i n is at his best. He's point center. I've been talking about his handle talking about his passes since do i don't necessarily see him and brandon ingram fallen into the role of traditional three traditional. Four we're balanced gymnasts after five. I don't think that gives them.

"Gives you a tiny bit more shooting than stephen adams. Does i like the idea of clearing the way for cairo. Lewis and aqeel alexander walker but apparently the. Pelicans wanna go. After kyle lowry. I don't know why he would use the pelicans to me. The grizzlies win this thing. They're taking the long view. They're trying to build the next grit and grind bear in memphis. Meanwhile the pelicans. They're focused on the short term in. Yeah you wanna see some success Suren you know gotta feel a little bit nervous him smiling talking about how much he loves playing a madison square garden. I'm that that's playing. A factor in all these kind of moves. The pelicans have been doing but it feels like they're just running around trying to paper over holds everywhere and i don't know that's that that quick fix kind of style of building usually doesn't work out. Yeah this one's going to be tough maybe to greatly until we see who the pelican sign because of the cap space. They've opened up off off of getting off of atoms in bledsoe in opening up a lot more room. And maybe allow you know. Maybe it's it's keeping lawns or josh heart. Maybe it's someone else. I didn't hear something like that. So that's gonna be talked. We have to wait on that. And then we also million wait to see what the grizzlies do with that number. Ten pick and we'll bring andrew in a second to get his like a expert expertise on that. But what do you think of these beard for. Beer trade there Lily to giant beards. Going back in this in this deal. Well i'll just take the two players that are really. The deal is a bad here. Valentinus for adams. And i think Stephen is because you know david griffin traded for him and then gave him a contract extension last season not good. That was a good move. A good solid defender but with zalmai on he kinda gets in his wi- little but he doesn't spread the floor at all now. Valid junus does a little bit. You know he's not a great. Three pointer is not great deep rancher to be can make that shot so perhaps the thinking is zoya needs a little bit more room in the paint to work and you can kick it so you can hit that three. Like i say or just. Stephen adams screen center. He's a good rebound but he's got no real offensive game. You certainly gotten a shot. You know he can pick and roll a little bit But it's not like he can spread the floor at all so in that sense You know. I can see why the pelicans needed to sort of open up a little bit and get a great player. Invalid great to get him coming off. Probably i think he's best season. i think. probably. Yeah that's that's quite obvious. That was his best season. So i like it in. That's but if you are the pelicans. Yeah the fact that david from brought in eric. Bledsoe and stephen added last season Gave stephen adams a contract extension now. He's like shunning them quickly. Oh yeah it's a little bit of a sort of like a things change quickly. I understand that. But you have to sometimes question exactly the direction of the team because valid judas i think is overall a better offensive. Bad defensively. don't think stephen adams has better. So they're going to give a little bit up on. The defensive end gained something on the offensive but not a huge amount. It's going to be you know similar. Similarly you just gaining one area while loosening losing in the other area so And again the number ten. Pick k- still not really that franchise altering position you would think. Yeah but that's a single rightly. Maybe they had the seventeenth pick. They have someone in mind and again. We're good andrew here. Maybe he knows more like who you could see them. like targeting. maybe they were like whoa that player. Be it mows moody josh giddy. The australian li li chris duarte. I know as being thrown around like maybe the grizzlies andrew really like. I don't think that player that would really like is going to be there at seventeen. So let's try and move up Do you think that's a possibility injured. Yeah i absolutely. This is what they're doing and they might. People are saying that the grizzlies might not be done so they may be trying to move in higher and the draft. But i would say if they stick at ten that one i think moses moody makes a ton of sense for them. He's a guy that can hit a three. He's got crazy long arms. I don't know if you guys have seen the photo of him reaching from literally the tip of a door frame to the bottom of to the floor i. It's incredible so he's just typical in like guy is that the idea is he's he's got a little bit more juice than just three. He was kind of the best in the mid range in college. Basketball this past year. He can put it on the floor a little bit. And he played with kate cunningham and scotty barnes and high school on one of the best high school teams of all time. Probably pretty good so he can. He can play a role. But i also think he's got a little bit more there before he joined that team. He was winning state. Titles in arkansas. So this is a guy that can take over. He can fit into a role. I think he makes a ton of sense. As if you're just trying to swing for the fences. That josh giddy makes a ton of sense he is a six eight. He's really probably not a point guard at the nba level. He's probably gonna play on the wing but he can be a secondary ball handler. Similar to join. Eagles does and i hate to make the joe. Ingles comparison just because he's almost too but a lot of people like to make that comparison and a lot of people think he can shoot it. The numbers don't say that he can shoot it. But i hear more people that have talked to him and talk to people that say that they believe in the shot so to me. He's a swing for the fences guy. If you're really trying to establish a core he's great and he is poised under pressure to. Somebody asked him if he pooped on accident on friday. And you know what or did she was completely poised and he just so. I think he's ready ready for the spotlight. That's like he's dad. work either. Who used to play in. Australia is the watching He wasn't a great shooter of the ball. He was more. You're nuts and bolts. Man did a lot of the dirty work screen setting blocking out boxing out grabbing the rebounds so if he can shoot he's definitely inherited that from his mother saw. I could say that for sure. The other thing with the grizzlies to is you know was awesome. I agree with you guys. We talked about what it felt like this past season because he was amazing. I don't think i'd want to be paying him. His next sort of or probably his final real big deal which would coming up in a year. Such with all your other extensions and stuff like that with john mirant. You're gonna be paying him a ton stuff like that. I think they're making that decision. And maybe just like. Hey it's jaren jackson junior time here like a little bit more and i and he can play with adams he can search the floor. You can still play him. You need the defense from adams. And that's going to help. But i think they're going to like hope he can stay healthy and like really try and make him or lead into him being a bit of a cornerstone which ran and then whoever they get a tent or like andrew said maybe they're not done and and they're moving up here because a lot of people don't think bledsoe's could be playing for them so he could be involved of course in another move here and maybe this moving up still. So how would you grade this then. Trade because we heard. Tk saying he liked it more from the grizzlies. Sida things ultimately li like. Is this a fine trade overall for both teams like the be range or.

"Stephen adams eric bledsoe picks ten and forty And a projected twenty twenty two first round. Pick that by the way. The twenty two first round pick was via the lakers new orleans. Member has a whole bunch of the lakers picks deal. Yeah okay so but here's the significance to if you're listening to us now. The draft is starting to move now. Picks are starting to move every time you hear like in this case picks number ten and number forty are now in memphis. The lakers have pick number. Twenty two all of a sudden. Now the pick that the lakers have becomes valuable. If you're trying to get let's say a big name player from another team and you can package like you hear you hear. We're talking about the football players like three number ones well. They're three number. One picks moved in that deal ten seventeen while two number ones and number twos ten seventeen forty and fifty one so once the draft starts to move once. There's kind of movement in the river. Now more trade or coming this is just the first one and satiric blitz owes in this deal. And he's leaving new orleans. Does that mean. The pelicans are more likely to sign lonzo or does that mean. They're more likely to chase after. Somebody like kyle lowry and remember. They have two guards cure lewis and aqeel alexander walker. That are both young both under the age of twenty two..

"But i think if the pacers were trading savona sir asking for lot back the should i it for me. It would depend on. What's lined up for for stephen adams. I'm i'm not making any type of big commitment to start addressing hundred. I'm not trying to make any type of commitment into another big frankly like i'm tired of giving up acids for first centers In i would like investors in perimeter players are in wings. But i like the bonus a lot. And i think he'd be really good. Fit with zion but it really would depend on what they have lined up for atoms and but if if they had a legitimate trade leonard for adams where they're not attaching a pick for then sure i think lonzo signing trade lonzo kill a pick would be worth entertaining after all right well. This was awesome man. I really appreciate you taking the time Do you have anything you want to plug before you got here now. You guys can follow me at fear. Do Positions Even Matter Anymore?

"Now i'm joined by yahoo serious so he and she wrote this article about draymond green. She wrote an article about the idea. That draymond green is almost a position unto himself that now new players come into the league or filling in so i wanna talk to her about that and i thought it was a fascinating piece because you identified a bunch of guys use value. I think are were only just now starting to understand so before we get into our conversation about like positions and howard thinking about positions in the league across the board. Just tell me a little bit. About what attracted you to this idea in the first place like was there a big bang moment that you were like i think i ll adore is also part of this yet actually was I was watching. I was watching the rockets take on the thunder in the playoffs. And there are a few moments where statement just couldn't close out on pj talker. Who's obviously pointing the five. And then they had to madore at the five and he's six four was already crazy. The pj tucker six five center was starting and that was a response to that. It was a natural response and it was the right response. Underplayed way better with him at the five and they went away from it. Which is i think why they lost the series and it was just kind of interesting to me you know. You didn't have a workers in the playoffs. But stephen adams is being squeezed on both sides. He just can't get away from this thing. That dream on started like on one end. It's we can't defend on the other end like there's there's this young guy who's coming for a spot and he watched even again. We're gonna talk about this later. But if you watch stephen adams now not exactly fitting offense. No i mean. I almost wonder whether or not steven adams was like an enormous tax locker room. Guy like that that he was brought in. Now you can almost make the argument that he's there to give veteran leadership and just like established like a certain culture at the pelicans. Because obviously encore doesn't really work the way. I don't buy that at all veteran leadership. I can these signs of guys and then they're like yeah. That'll that'll play well. They had drew holiday last year. They found jj radic for the past two years. They have veteran leader. Sure especially since. I feel like grip is also read coyotes piece earlier this week. Try to roll bledsoe into that as well as like. No no no you guys go up bledsoe on the back end of that deal. Because that's we got. I see what they were trying to do. Which is like they have like the young guys and then they have like this mix of old guy so that young guys never turned into the wolves and wind up not knowing how like which way is up and all but they're only like a few steps better than the wolves to host stephen adams this much money also the wolves beat down. Yes that's true. How are they really. They made the wolves. Look real smart on offense. Yes which is impossible so wanted to ask you about this idea that i've been thinking about especially as regards to ben simmons which i think has become like a little bit of an obsession of mine this season. But it's like where is he appropriately situated on the court. There's like the physical like. Where does he stand part. And then there is the conceptual like do we think of him as a point guard. Do we think of a four or are we starting to introduce like a certain new kind of lexicon of the way we think about players. Like whether it's the dunker or like a cook cling cappella roller or a guy. Who is you know. There's all sorts of a huge constellation of terms. We use. Is that a better way to think about these guys in does change their value at all. Because i thought like your idea here that the draymond is almost a new position. Now you could look for was fascinating and there's no question to me that it changes the value of the players of one of the things. I noticed while reporting that article was just the fact that once you name something you start seeing it everywhere like tournament use that you see in life all the time and it was. It was pointed to detrimental. These guys because they were doing things in the court and a lot of the people i talked to. Just one of the things to that stuck out was scouts. Were just like you. Just don't don't doubt winning. If the guy has contributed to winning plays this was this was wrong. One of the college scouts said scouted grant williams. So if the guy's making winning plays don't outsmart yourself just because you can't find a way to put it in a box. It's probably something that you don't quite understand yet just because you can't understand it doesn't mean it's not effective in that definitely plays a role with a lot of guys in the league. So yeah tha t to that point a changes your changes your value just because like this league is a lot more because a lot more than i think people realize it. A lot of people are out to win. Press conferences in if you can't quite explain what you're going for with certain player. I think it makes it harder for you to recognize. It also makes it harder for you to sell which matters on every level matters when you're scouting and you're trying to convince your head coach your your gm or somebody else and then for the gm. It's like trying to convince the owner. Then you know that's gonna be that's gonna be defined the depending on the franchise you are. Some of that is going to be defined by the media will perceive a certain selection to Be it's interesting. i think i'm kind of. I'm kind of going to this place whereby my pet theory now watching the heat watching the sixers has become that you can. You're allowed to have if you really smart. And if the other shooters are andrew or really good they can make plays. You're allowed to have two guys. That aren't very good shooting on the court

"We don't i don't think as recording this. We don't know who it is. We know that three players are out during jalen. Brunson josh richardson. One of them is positive. And then today we just found out that maxie is positive so there's maxi plus one other player. Those two players will have to be out to fourteen days which is five to eight games and then the other two that are just quarantining for seven days. that's oh. I thought it was four days. I think it's seven. Yeah so that's two games. They'll miss two more to your games. Yeah that they'll miss. And then yeah maxine and the other one will be out for another four five six to eight gay. So you're looking at a starting lineup. Next game of luca hardaway. I think a one takes over. Josh green. Because i can imagine was surprisingly good. Yeah and then James johnson probably starting at the four for for maxine. And then cauley stein at the five with your bench. Trey burke in powell and josh green and hopefully nobody else has to play. Yeah so i mean it's a. It's going to be tough. It's gonna be rough. Yeah i wonder look. There's some and i don't know if anybody has any inside. Knowledge of porzingis is coming back. I have well. I like how you just brushed that off. Like i'm trying to make a point. It's not about you. I think it's skin way that mentioned that. He thinks they might bring him back in the hornets game because they didn't want to bring them back in the pelicans and have to with stephen adams elbowing him across. Even adams is out. Oh he is okay migraine. I was like just good. So i can be serious. I'm thinking if i'm the mavericks if your intention is to bring about against the hornets considering the situation can you bring them back. One game early. Yeah just out of necessity. I'm not asking you to play him. Forty minutes ten to fifteen minutes just to help offset the lack of players that have and it's just one game. Is it really going to hurt. Clearly he's healthy targeted the hornets. And yeah maybe. If stephen adams is out and he's healthy ready to go why not. Yeah i mean if if that is it if it's just a one. His name was the white powell he would have been the order. Well last game. Yeah i mean if it was that just one game difference thin. Yeah just bring him back to prison back. They're going to be social and look. I'm not saying. I want to risk injury. You're putting his career in jeopardy but if it's a one game difference now quitting any raise. Yeah yeah it can't make that much of a difference if it's longer i get it But yeah it's a it's gonna be rough for the mavericks. I mean but a lot of teams are dealing with this. They actually just announced that they're postpone the game between the celtics and heat. I think the heat and somebody so that's going on anyways so hopefully they can still get some wins. Duri time per. Yeah so we'll see but that that's that's the ugly coming up for the mavericks because it is i mean. Thankfully they want against the magic they had players out to in its magic and their next two games. Aren't against the lakers and the clippers. It's the pelicans and the hornets. Yeah so of course. I already loss against the hornets. Good then chances are will be at true Will get to our game predictions at the end of the episode..

Blazers Beat Thunder as Damian Lillard Outplays Russell Westbrook

"Portland Trail Blazers verse the Oklahoma City thunder. This question because I feel like this is huge. This wish team has the most lose by first round exit. Because. Okay. So yes, by it's okay. Has the most to lose year most Bassac AC wash rest. This is their team to all stars when MVP candidate and the ex VP and they can't do much of their roster for next year. So this is there for three years unless they trade a Stephen Adams or something. So they definitely got the most lose. But they stayed alive was a good thing for them. Russell Westbrook came out and played his game. Which is perfect, and they Billy Donovan changed some shit. Isn't that crazy the colts Billy Donovan as some chains ads the clipboard a job but play last shot? That's the guy who. Chains that he may was Russell Westbrook's Nygaard Damian Lillard last night. He was on African no which could be a great day for us a west because he didn't have to use so much energy chasing, Damian Lillard. And this is also what kills me Russell. You can't talk shit today. If you're not guarding him the first game he killed you. And you do Shane does. Let them go. You can't do that. If he killed her first games. You ain't do sit. And you all yes, I did. But he didn't guard him. He did not most of the game. He said in the corner. And Dr tens eighty percent. He was eighty percent. He wasn't on

Are people sleeping on the Oklahoma City Thunder

"I want to get to another team in the west. That's been a surprise. Obviously we're talking about the nuggets. But how about the thunder Paul George had twenty five fourth quarter points and Russell Westbrook past Jason Kidd on the all time list for most triple doubles has the thunder win again. Okay. See has jumped all the way to second in the west guys. Let's not forget Russell, Westbrook's real real good. Stephen it. Are you buying thunder as real contenders combine them by them? I think Russell Russell Westbrook is a superstar in this league. Yes. And he is the he's the most ruthless competitor. There is in the word. Everybody that's not wearing the same uniform for those forty eight Paul George is something special and the watch him continue to Bob considering the injuries that he incurred. I give him a lot of credit where credit is due right now. He's averaging about twenty four point three games. Stephen Adams is obviously good. And then you look at some of the young talent grant and entrusted to pick up a forgot land. Big Tom pickup. I like what I'm seeing from them. I still don't have them go into the conference finals. Obviously, even though if the players would to begin today, it will be the Lakers vs Golden State in the first round. And then the legs will home, I'm thinking, nobody. But the Golden State out west would beat the Lakers in the postseason. But I will tell you go Oklahoma City is a force to be reckoned with because without having to deal with the whole mellow issue. And it's just about the big two in Stephen Adams in young talent that game Schroeder coming off the bench. I got to admit I'm very impressed with what I'm seeing from the Oklahoma City thunder right now, I. Cannot take my eyes off of them. I don't say it don't say they'll say, I'm kind of hoping the rockets don't get good this year. It's look so bad for Carmelo right now. Like, you take them off the team look at how much better they get. And I understand they're deeper and there are certain differences in the team. Now, then forget about Carmelo several years ago. But but but not take this team versus the team that failed against Golden State in game seven at oracle several years ago. Yes. There are some differences that make a difference. But we all know the NBA at the highest level is about your very best players guys. They pose zero threat to the warriors because they couldn't get past the warriors before the warriors had K de Paul Georgia's excellent is he is is not K D. And now Katy is on the warriors. So since their two best players used to be K, D And Westbrook. And now, it's K D And Paul George and now the team that they couldn't get past as Addie, Katie. There's no way for them to beat the warriors. There are threat to anyone
