House GOP Demands the NYC District Attorney Turnover Documents

"The house GOP demands the New York City district attorney turnover documents and give testimony as to the politically motivated persecution of Donald Trump. That's a great sign. That would not have happened a decade ago. Paul Ryan and his pack of moderates would have been like, wow, this is not us. We don't want to interview with an investigation. That's ridiculous. I'm glad they're doing that. I'm talking about district attorneys. I'm talking about attorney generals. Do we have a current grand jury right now in a red state? Against Joe Biden, the treason he's committed against America, if not, why not ask your attorney general? Do we have a current investigation into the Clinton crime foundation of the crimes that they committed against the American homeland or maybe even committed in Arkansas, by the way? Arkansas is a super red state that the clintons and the bidens have both heavily trafficked throughout the last couple of years. You're trying to tell me that you couldn't find a misdemeanor that Hunter Biden committed an Arkansas. So if this is the new threshold, if the new threshold American politics is, wow, you have a misdemeanor of a payment to stormy Daniels that could be classified as a campaign finance thing. Then what exactly would you call it when you get a $3 million wire from a Chinese Communist Party affiliated company? Why does a Republican district attorney not investigate them right now? I don't want excuses. I want answers and you should too.

Liberals Are Salivating Over Trump's Potential Arrest

"Are jubilant. There's a hashtag arrest miss. They are celebrating. They are salivating. You see, when you do not have a belief in the divine or the internal or you do not have a strong ethical code, you find meaning in the cruelty of others and the treatment of others. And Donald Trump has been made as a hitlerian type figure. And right now liberals all across the Internet are celebrating. They're having parties. They're saying that finally we are doing it and they're going to realize that, okay, Donald Trump gets fingerprinted in the process. Your life is still super miserable with all your cats and your apartment in Brooklyn. It doesn't make your life any better. All of a sudden, because Donald Trump has to fly in and has to fight a felony. It's a really bad way to run your life. To all of a sudden, act as if your meaning is connected to somebody else's life becoming more difficult. But that's what you get when you have an entire university system that isn't built on wisdom or goodness. So the left is celebrating their salivating, it's happening in great numbers. And this is all built on revenge. It's built on revenge because it was the regime that never got implemented. Donald Trump disrupted so much of this. In particular in the courts and the international scene from how he rearranged NATO to getting out of the parents climate accord to redoing nafta to finally holding the Chinese Communist Party accountable. And if it wasn't for the virus and the lockdowns and the infiltration of Fauci and Burke's into the Trump government, then Donald Trump would easily have won four more years. In fact, of course, we believe if it wasn't for Zucker bucks and the mail in ballots and the signature verification, he would still be president.

Why the Potential Trump Charges Are Pure Fiction

"Is that Donald Trump and his own private life paid stormy Daniels is a hush money payment as a way to try and influence the 2016 presidential campaign. This is such this is beyond an abuse of the criminal justice system. Even if you hate Donald Trump, even if you are the most anti Trump person, you can not possibly justify. That this is what the criminal justice system is for. This is not even a novel legal theory. This is a fiction of the legal code. Signs indicate that Bragg's plan is to claim that Trump's payments to stormy Daniels were improperly classified as a legal expense. Now, even that would just be a misdemeanor of true, so to make it a felony like Bragg has been saying that it's a crime was committed to cover up another crime and the theory goes that it goes a bigger crime making this any illegal campaign contribution. This is such an abuse. That basically says any spending in your personal life is actually for a political campaign. And then it just begs the question, was Donald Trump selling our country out to the Chinese Communist Party, so his cocaine addicted son could make money in our national security could be compromised. Did Donald Trump smash a bunch of devices even though they were under subpoena? And they just disappeared. Did Donald Trump engage in a summer of love of looting and fire and arson, of course not. A city that is more dangerous than ever and the local DA is going straight after the 45th president of the United States. Why is this happening?

Marine Recounts 'Catastrophic' US Withdrawal From Afghanistan

"The foreign relations committee in the House of Representatives. Did a hearing on our withdrawal, our botched withdrawal from Afghanistan. And it was emotional. It was jaw dropping, there's nothing that was maybe newly revealed, but to listen to how this administration failed, the men and women of our military and also our allies was pretty stunning. Take a listen. This is video cut 6. This is a marine sniper sergeant Tyler Vargas Andrews who gave testimony yesterday. Take a listen. When he got to me, he dragged me to safety and immediately started triaging me tying tourniquets on my limbs and doing anything he could have stopped the bleeding and start plugging wounds with the help of the other marines. I was awake through most of it, screaming, moaning, and cursing. Please ask, I ask you to please ask me about getting shot at the tower in Abbey gate and how no one wanted my report post blast. Even NCIS and the FBI fell to interview me. Asked me to elaborate on my ordeal post blast and asked me about this one little girl and her family that I reunited. Our military members and veterans deserve our best because that is what we give to America. The withdrawal, the withdrawal was a catastrophe in my opinion. And there was an inexcusable lack of accountability and negligence. The 11 marines, one sailor, and one soldier that were murdered that day have not been answered for.

Matt Boyle Unpacks His Huge Interview With Kevin McCarthy

"Big interview from breitbart or friends over at breitbart dot com. You can check them out each and every day for your news and you should. An exclusive interview with speaker Kevin McCarthy after the release of the January 6th tapes to Tucker Carlson, some of them that started airing this week, joining us right now is the person who interviewed this speaker and of course a friend of this program. Matt Boyle is here. You can give him a follow on truth social at real Matt Boyle and Matt, thanks for being with us and welcome to America first. Hey, thanks for having me. It is great to have you now. You sat down with Kevin McCarthy and I know this is a two parter, right? There's going to be more information coming, but I was really happy to hear he says that these tapes are going to be available to the public, not just to Tucker because those really are our tapes, aren't they? Yes. So look, there's a whole ton of other stuff that we talked about during the interview. That will come out of the coming days and weeks. It takes our team a lot of time to make these perfect and get them all ready to roll. We talked about all sorts of things like that ceiling China immigration, the cartels, all sorts of stuff like that. All that stuff's coming. But the big thing we had to get it out immediately because this is in the news is that this is the most in depth interview, the speaker's done since he made the decision to authorize the release of the capital security tapes from January 6th. The surveillance video to Tucker Carlson. So I asked him, you know, for the logic and the reasoning why he decided to do so. He argued that it's in the interest of transparency and the public deserves to see what happened there and whether or not it fits with the narrative that the January 6th committee is putting forward or that they put forward. They are defunct committee now. They're totally shut down because the new Republican majority ended the thing. But then in addition to that, I also asked him if intends to release them publicly. And he said they do. There's 42,000 hours, he said, which is a lot more than the $14,000 that the committee staff said. Last Congress that there was. So they're going through all the footage right now. And they're removing things like secret doors, security reasons stuff, right? Like they can't release that stuff, totally understandable. We don't need to know where the leadership gets taken in a crisis or something like that. Probably probably a better thing that that stuff doesn't come out. But everything they can release, they do intend to release to the public. And

You know, I just, it's weird to me how black people can get on there and they can bad mouth white people as hard as they can. They can specifically say, hey white people, y'all shouldn't be doing this. And nothing is said nothing happens. There's no criticism. There's no nothing. White America y'all bet not do this. Now, just imagine if a white guy got on there and said black people, let me talk to y'all for a minute. Y'all bed and I used this as a way to talk bad about white folks. Because y'all black people need to not talk bad about my people. I mean, bro, he would get fired midair. They'll fire him while he's talking. They're literally writing his papers up and they will hand him his papers live on air and cut the stream.

Are the WSJ Articles on Binance and Tether Trial by Press?

"Let's kick off with some good old fashioned tether FUD. On Friday, The Wall Street Journal reported that tether had used falsified documents and shell companies to obtain bank accounts, citing emails leaked to the newspaper they discussed some of the tactics used by tether and their intermediaries back in 2018. The article claimed that an email from Stephen Moore, one of the owners of tether holdings limited, said that a major Chinese counterparty was trying to quote circumvent the banking system by providing fake sales invoices and contracts for each deposit and withdrawal. He wrote that it was too risky to continue with this method, considering his signature was on the fake invoices, and recommended that the counterparty abandoned its attempts to open the account, saying quote, I would not want to argue any of the above in a potential fraud slash money laundering case. In March 17, according to The Wall Street Journal, Wells Fargo stopped processing transaction from several Taiwanese accounts that tether had been using, and in a lawsuit filed against the bank, tether called the move quote, an existential threat to their business, but withdrew the lawsuit shortly thereafter. A few weeks later on a conference call with users, Phil Potter, tethers then chief strategy officer attempted to calm concerns, saying quote, we've had banking hiccups in the past. We've always been able to route around it or deal with it, open up new accounts or what have you. There's been lots of sort of cat and mouse tricks that everyone in the Bitcoin industry has to avail themselves of. The article also claims that another account opened up on behalf of tether in turkey was later used to funnel money to a Hamas linked terror organization. And on top of that, the article also chronicles an attempt to funnel money through Panama using a company called the crypto capital corporation. The company allegedly used a series of shell companies to move around more than $1 billion. In October 2018, around 850 million was seized by authorities in the U.S. and Europe during an investigation into bank fraud and alleged money laundering. The seizure caused ripples through the crypto ecosystem with tether losing its peg and making a loan to bitfinex its sister exchange to shore up tether's balance sheet. But for next claims to this day that it was defrauded by crypto capital corp and is still fighting the seizures.

Pastor Greg Locke Anticipates Another Revival

"Back. I'm talking to my friend pastor Greg Locke. He is the founding and lead pastor of global vision Bible church in mount Juliet, Tennessee, right outside Nashville author of a number of books. You know, Greg, what I always say to my buddy Ken fish. It's like part of the frustration is there is so much of this and so few who are trained in dealing with it. Which is why I'm glad you're doing this every single week in your church because there is so there are so many people suffering from this and I really believe this is an end time move of God that we're going to see people coming to faith as a result of this kind of ministry. Oh, absolutely. You and I both, you know, we share a love for revival history, right? And so it's not that God didn't do amazing things in the past. But if you look at every single revival in the past, you look at the Welsh revival, azusa street browns will first and second great awakening the hebrides revival, you know, Jeremiah Calvin landfire survival. All of them had a limitation because when deliverance started to break out, it was shut down. It's exactly what happened with the Jesus revolution with the whole Time Magazine thing. Whenever deliverance got to a place where it started making people uncomfortable, it was shut down. And I think that we are right now in the prophetic film and of the book of Joel in the last days, God will provide a spirit upon all flesh or what does that look like in the last days whosoever should call upon the name of the lord shall be delivered. And people are like, well, you know, deliverance ministry is not in the Bible. In the model prayer Jesus said deliver us from evil. And so it's all over the Bible. There are 286 verses in Matthew Martin Luke and John, where Jesus converses with and cast out demons. It's a third of his ministry. And then the disciples and then the 70 and then you and I Mark 16. Paul, Stephen, Philip, it's all in the Bible.

"As one of the Harry Potter actors said, a trans man is a man and a trans woman is a woman. And he didn't say this, but he might have, but they say men give birth, America was founded in 1619. Slavery built the country. And. America is systemically racist. It is a battle over reality. It's the only thing left and right agree on, we don't agree about reality. So all these New York Times readers blasting Bret Stephens for reporting on the report that I have reported to you the Cochrane report, all you're wrong, the Cochrane report doesn't say that masks don't work. So I've read it, and they've read it, and this is what they say. You ever see on the Internet somebody a blow a smoke through a, one of the masks that are people use. So a nurse writes in, of course, the regular masks don't work, the N95 masks work. If I have to wear an N95 masks, mask and there were a country. In other words, there was some national mandate to do so. And I could not. Escape being imprisoned if I did not wear an N95 mask. I would have to leave the country.

Well, my producer says I'm really pushing it. That's correct. But he's not a leftist. So that's a vindication of some sort. So Brett Stephens writes a column in today's New York Times. The mask mandates did nothing. Will any lessons be learned? So of course I've been telling you this for well over a year. But what would be, this is 2023 and what did the lockdowns begin? And oh yeah, in January, in March of 2020, that's right. March 2020. So I've been saying masks are worthless and sometime in 2020. Because I read, I did not know personally. My knowledge of masks and viruses was nil. But I did something the odds are your doctor never did. Doctors are profoundly intellectually un curious about their own profession, which is remarkable. If they're told something by their hospital, that's the end of the issue if they're told something by VA or their pediatrics association for most doctors that is all that they need to know. So people like my wife, which is maybe an unfair example because she does so much reading, but she knows so much more than 90% of the doctors in this country about the vaccine and about masks. "I have to say, man, I think that was a very eloquently put, I appreciate you coming on and giving an insight, I just give you my take on it just real quick. You know, I want to applaud Donald Trump for standing up and doing that and you know, I think that Rihanna's performance, if someone were to rebuke her performance, I don't see a problem with that whatsoever because her grabbing a crotch and then smelling a smelling it. You know, I think that was just totally uncalled for. Knowing that Rihanna's performing didn't have time, I think people should be like, my kids ain't watching that 'cause I already know what she stands for. I've heard her music and some of y'all are born. Have been born because of her music. But not in this generation. I guess the little babies have been born because of music. So you already know what it is. I wouldn't have, I wouldn't let my kids listen to what she has to say and how she performs. I mean, I watched the performance. You know, just, I mean, that's kind of glancing in it. I'm smoking cigar with my dad and some more people in that. So I was kind of glancing at it. But I just think that as a president, you have to understand how what you're saying is interpreted. Not how what you're saying is interpreted to people that already believe in you and follow you and some people follow you off a cliff. But you just have to see, when I speak as a presidential candidate, does this help? Or hurt my overall message?

Vote the closer mariano rivera. John yes love it right. The greatest pitcher in the history of baseball. The numbers backed up all right time for no huddle. That's preposterous. By the way was that how the hell is he not going to be unanimous. Jeeter of course ridiculous. What do we watch for with the cowboys tonight. Guys key. i've got gotta watch the offense line when when you think about what you watch and you're gonna watch their office ally max you want to see how they can protect dak prescott if at all they do. I don't know that they necessarily will when you talk about a team. The tampa bay buccaneers who led the league with forty eight sacks last year. And then when you talk about the individuals the j. p. of the world the consumers bringing guys like antoine will fill out of the secondary to get three sacks. He's going to have a bigger total this year on that. And then you look at them over all on the defense side of the ball they just got so much shack bear had eight sacks jp nine you tallied that those guys don't be like wild animals coming out of the cage. You know the other day. We had saturday on. He was talking about the importance. Zack martin and he said that is yukio. Elliott says zach. Marin was their best off of player their best offensive player and all the things that he has to do. So you know. look ezekiel. Lay down your last year. but watching. how how he'll perform in a game like this against a great defensive line of the tampa bay bucks is really going to make it. A one dimensional game. If he can't breakthrough and that means the arms linked the dak prescott has to come through in order for them to win this game. Don with you guys and also allow collins has been banged up. He had these singers in his neck and stuff. That's the whole right side of your line and that's not great for your running back. We'll see listen to todd. Archer guy there are plenty of things to watch for tonight for the cowboys. But let's be honest it's all about dak prescott can be back. It's starting three hundred and forty days coming off that horrific ankle injury that knocked him out in week. Five year ago in a shoulder strain that limited him during training camp executive vp. Stephen jones said prescott is one hundred percent full. Go prescott said he's healthy and ready again. Be for this one in wide receiver. Michael gallup said it's like prescott never with how he's performed in practice leading up to this game. If the cowboys are gonna pull off the upset they certainly will need back to back g. Who's going to have a tough time with. Zack martin. Now dak or zeke agree with tyler is certainly dak prescott when you think about it. The pressure comes to bear from the bucks defense. Here's a guy who got. He's got to get the football out early and often he can't sit around and pat that thing like a baby. They're gonna be coming after him. Hey zeki elliot can get some yards on the ground but the way that the dallas cowboys are gonna make hay is. They've got to try to attack the second wave of defense of the tampa bay buccaneers. And the only way you could do that is by dropping the quarterback. But if i'm tired. I'm bringing the kitchen sink bringing everything early and often 'cause he's got approved to me that he's capable of running around and sustaining four quarters with that laic coming off an injury j i would agree with you. I would probably say doc. Because i think it's going to be incredibly challenging for zeke to break through and that means that this offense becomes one dimensional. And if you know that doc needs drop back the past especially they get down early in this game due to their defense. Not being well then. I think it's going to be having a long night. I see. I think zeke because dak. We seem even last year last couple of years when he puts up the big numbers a lot of time. They're playing from behind. The guy can hear it out. Now he's a big strong guy can run the air it out and he has great receivers. So i put zeke coming off the down year. Now he's in shape and everything in the whole right side is banged up. That's a problem speaking speaking of that. Let's hear what gentleman had to say while the cowboys are feeling the impact of no zack. Martin and the bucks'll try to exploit that with all those a gap blitzes. Todd bowles loved so much the bucks on the other hand feel very fortunate to be where they're at from a health standpoint only safety jordan whitehead's been ruled out for tonight's game chris godwin antonio brown's and mispractice earlier this week aren't even carrying injury designations and then quarterback. Tom brady came out and said this is the best. I've felt in a long long time. He of course is referring to that off season. Knee surgery something. Jp also underwent and he said i feel like the jp from two thousand tan so the bucks begin their quest to defend a super bowl title tonight at close to full strength..

"Credit card or three percent cashback on online shopping copyright twenty twenty one bank of america corporation. I knew. I was desperate football last night when. Ucf boise was delayed due to Do storms and i turned on citadel versus coastal carolina and was starting to break down the citadel problems in their defensive line and i said okay this is something i've been desperate for but college. Football is back in alabama is of course always the story. because they're the best program and they face miami in the chick-fil-a kickoff game tied or looking for their seventh title in thirteen years. Which in modern college. Football is an amazing statistic alabama used to be like a lock of all locks to covering game one and then. They haven't the last two years but i always take alabama in first-half spread every game. And i feel good about it. How do you see joe alabama miami. It's a nineteen point. Spread is miami. Have anything for them or is this just. Another tied wrote rolling tied situation. I find myself leaning to miami and the points you can find one thousand nine and a half's twenties crept up earlier in the week but those were mostly snatched up in the number came back down to nineteen and a half. I know a bookmaker here in las vegas. His name is chris andrews. He's been doing this for a long time. He works down the street at the south point and he hung this number two months ago for the games of the year when they put up all the big games in the middle of the summer and he hung alabama minus thirteen and that immediately got all the way through fourteen through seventeen etc. The point. I'm getting at here is. Chris can be off by a couple of points from time to time but to be off by six and a half. I don't know if that's necessarily the case for a veteran bookmaker they know the alabama money is coming in. Alabama has treated those who have backed them very well over the years and nick sabin is eleven in against the spread in the first game the season since he took over in tuscaloosa. But this is a huge number. And you're replacing eight starters on offense including offensive coordinator steve sarkisian left to take the head coaching job at the university of texas last year. They were replacing hunk of iowa and some key pieces. They went on the road to play missouri. They scored thirty points in game. It was their lowest output of the entire regular season and they didn't cover the spread. Derek king back for miami quarterback they returned nineteen starters. The mobile quarterback athletic quarterback has been a bit of an achilles heel for the nick sabin defense in recent years thing. Johnny manziel think shawn watson. So i find myself liking miami plus nineteen and a half but matt i gotta be honest. How much can you really liked. Knowing what's on the other side of the field. Eleven and two against spread in the first game is important but the last two were both the loss so they had eleven straight then lost the last two. I kinda throw last year out because the season you had like two weeks to get ready. You didn't know who you were gonna play. It's not like you had died entire offseason like they do most years to play. I don't know who. What you chris at south point or whatever his name is. I'm sure he's a wonderful human being chris at south point. I wish nothing but the best next time. I'm in vegas. I'll buy you a hamburger but you're crazy if you think that thirteen is the right whereas the right number alabama's go roll here now. It may be close for half you do. You are correct in saying that over history. The mobile quarterback has hurt alabama. But that's changed even in the last couple of years. They've been much better about that recently. I just dear king is fine. Everybody's fine. It's still tied and i'm just telling you this i don't do on a game by game basis. I'm not that kind of guy. I'm an alabama every game and overtime. I'm gonna win now. of course. sometimes. I'm gonna lose but i'll still take it game by game and i'm gonna win more often than i'm loose. I'm taking alabama if you ask me if i'm we'll take alabama against the spread next week i'm gonna take alabama. I'm gonna keep doing that all year. And joe at the end of the year. I'll bet you dollars to doughnuts. I will have a winning record. And we'll have made money betting on alabama. Yeah i'm not gonna fight you on that one the other angle. That's been profitable as the one you hit on at the beginning alabama in the first half. Now i might exercise some caution in this game. When you're breaking in a new offense like this there could be some stumbling blocks. Remember ohio state last night at minnesota there was some stumbling blocks in the first half but then they got their legs under him in the second half and they blew the doors off of minnesota scoring on seemingly every play. They ran in the second half. So i would say be cautious now but over the last few years the alabama first half number has just been gold for those who have been following it. Espn radio is presented by progressive. Insurance gas will join us on the goodyear hotline the game of the night. Tomorrow is georgia. Clemson they are two of the nation's best programs. I go head to head and the loser. Well clemson loses. They may be on the chopping block for the playoff. Georgia could probably lose and if they won out still make it. But it's a big game a game for georgia that i think is a game to sort of say you know what we're legit if you talked to georgia fans. They believe that when you talk college football programs that are the best they should be in the conversation. I always say there are tiers. Tier one is alabama no one else's on that tier then it's clips in in ohio state. Then it's oklahoma and then it's georgia that's and there's there are gaps between each one if you look at the last few years georgia beliefs however okay. Maybe we're not alabama but we're not the same as clemson ohio state. We should be up there with them. Joe this is their chance to show it. They're the only one of the power programs with an experience quarterback they've got an advantage at the other power programs don't have it's their time if they're going to be real they got to go win this game and there's a lot to be excited about for good reason when you see the transformation. The offense went through last year prix. Gt daniels versus post jt. It was remarkable. This was a team that went four and two to open the season scoring twenty nine points per game. They make the transition. Jt daniels at quarterback they four and the rest of the way out scoring thirty seven points per game. The offense took a huge step forward. You know with kirby smart you're going to get an elite defense but now if the offense is going to be able to play a high level this could be very dangerous football team. The problem is that wide receiver. George pickens the best on the roster blew out his knee in the spring. And eric gilbert the tight end transfer from lsu has been away from the team for personal issues for awhile. So you're going to be down if you guys on offense i think ultimately this is going to be a very very physical football game. I think everyone's going to be fighting for every inch. Kind of like the tide and lsu a few years back but not necessarily to that to that to that point i would say lower scoring game because you got to remember something. Clemson's got nine players coming back from last year's defense and the last time we saw him out. Excuse me ohio state was hanging forty nine on him in the college football player. I think that left a really bad taste in brent venables mouth. I think it's going to be all about physician. Punters might be winning. Mvp tomorrow when people have defenses where teams scored forty nine and then out here they have nine guys back part of me goes. Maybe you don't want him back. I mean they gave forty nine ohio state on some level. The thing about this game to me is the pro college football much more so than the nfl and really maybe more so than any sport institutional memory is key because there are so few games they have such huge importance because there are so few games that are actually close. Where the two programs that every time you play one sticks for like a decade you use it in recruiting for a decade and georgian. Clemson are right next to each other. I mean i know they're different states but they're right next to each other and they feel a rivalry. Clemson has passed them and they hate it. They hate it. If you're going to be georgia if you're not gonna be the perpetual second-place team you've been for twenty years. You better win. This one tells me. I can't say anything else about it and i listened to bubba so i'm gonna leave it right there and tell you that thousands out there have been affected by hurricane ida urgently and they urgently need support donate at redcross dot org slash. Espn and helped the red cross respond. Help people recover from the disaster coming out. Vegas has a lot of thoughts on this. Weekend's college football games and joe has games that he.

"It's now though for the smartest part of our show it's defined you bell the smartest person on the show that might be damning with faint praise. But i mean it sincerely chance to find the best injury expert in the business and probably any business to be quite frank. Let's get through some of the notable injury updates to find other injuries that took place last year. The players are recovering from or players have gotten hurt during camp or both as is the case with dak prescott. What's the latest with both his ankle into your shoulder. Was we just heard that sportscenter update and we're hearing that dak prescott may not play in the preseason. Don't be alarmed. I really believe this part of the plan. Because once he came into camping got injured with this latte strain. It is a throwers injury. We just see it more often in baseball and football so a little bit of a surprise there. But i think the plan was to play conservative. Get him back for week. One that is the focus you put him into a competitive situation. He's liable to overdo it. You can control volume of throws in practice. Give him the extra time. I was out at cowboys. Camp my senses. They are not concerned about this at all but they are taking it smart. The bigger injury was the fractured ankle. The dislocation that he suffered in week five last year had surgery on. It had plenty of time to rehab. That was actually doing work in. Ota's that people weren't anticipating so. I really liked that coming into we can. I'm not worried about him. Matthew for my fantasy value perspective dak prescott. Been one of the best quarterbacks and fantasy really since he became the dallas cowboys starting quarterback as a rookie any concern about the shoulder or you full seib with deck from the beginning of two thousand nineteen through week. Four twenty twenty. He ever twenty three points per game. Only lamar jackson average more fantasy points per game and now with cd lamb in his second year a healthy offensive. Line mark cooper michael. Gallup still there. Obviously you've got zeke. They got some nice production out of blake. Darwin and dalton scholtz last year when charleston went down he surrounded by what i believe to be the best group of talent. He's ever had his career. And so you ask me like any concerns about his injury. And what. I i get asked a question any any concerns about dak prescott injury or any players injury. Do i turned us to find your bell. And i say hey thumbs up thumbs down that prescott. She just gave a thumbs up. So yeah dak. Prescott is my qb. Three this year Look he's right in that range if you undertake marie over him. You wanna take russell mills russell wilson or lamar jackson over again. It But i am homes josh allen and dak prescott three all right so let's say the nfc east in an injury. That i think maybe is a little bit. More concern is to find that saquon barkley who will be most assuredly first round. Pick somewhere in your drafts this year. But are you concerned about at all. About the fact that it's august eighteenth and the giants still won't commit to week one from an acl tear. Which i don't wanna make light of that but acl's have a proven track record of players coming back from them. Even running back happen week to it happened to too. I think there's a few things to out here. It's important that we look at not all. Acl's are created equal right. You can have just an isolated. I'm sure i'm sure matthew might have zero. Acl's but somehow still function it's like it's like just a bunch of snicker bars my the two pieces of my leg together their brains snow coming back for you. You you know with some sour patch. Kids honestly Break break though if we get back to like a real athlete like saquon barkley so he actually tore his. Acl has mc sale and had meniscus damage which they repaired. Why does that matter because it is important for the longevity of his career. The repaired meniscus helps protect the knee. But it does take a little bit longer in terms of your rehab and you can have a slow going out of the gate. That's what apparently happened. We thought we might seem do something. Not as no. And then he gets the training camp not participating. Still doing rehab work. He did get taken off the pup list but when he returned to his only individual drills yesterday he did work in seven on sevens but still wearing a non contact jersey. Here's what i want people to understand. People say well he's out there. He's making progress. The start of the season is not until september twelfth for them when zach zach when and saquon was playing at his top. He was tackled breaker. He has to shed defenders. He has to break contact. The problem now is he still not even being touched. He has to get used to making football moves having contact command him breaking contact and then running like the player you want him to be from two years ago all by september twelfth. How much do you trust that. Not enough to draft overall. Pick him fantasy draft. Say that much i mean. He's he made my hate list again. And i don't hate the player but i do hope the fact the to your point field. He's being drafted fifth overall. Like in the middle of the first round and it here everything that's defined saying and we don't know if he's coming back. there are real concerns about this offensive. Line people forget that last year prior to his injury small sample size but he had thirty four yards on nineteen carries the offensive line issues. Were a real thing last year. And i don't know that they've been solved. This off season will wait to see and then my other question is is like all right. Say that he comes back say that he will say that he's healthy. But does he have the explosiveness you know. Those are the things that there has been literature published that showed off after these injuries. Not until the second year that these guys hit their metrics you mentioned the offensive line being poor before and him still being able to thrive because of the talent but that was a healthy player. That's different than when you're coming back off an injury and having that space gives you a different. Comfort is a mental issue as well as a physical one. I love him long-term. I'm concerned about him at the start of the season for fantasy purposes. Especially where he's going. It seems like the giants are going to be patient and smart was saquon. Barkley no need to rush back player. That could be a central part of their franchise for years. To come. devante booker may be an interesting late round flyer that about that tune into an nl central battle tonight as.

"Perfect meritocracy but closer to it than many other walks of life especially the nfl among team sports so he may not on the merits. Get the job but maybe does. And that's the drama. We're watching unfold right now. By the way pro. Football focus was on this kind of stuff. Had max jones as their number one rated rookie quarterback of game one of the preseason chamois and connecticut. You're on the max kellerman show. Espn radio and kaffir nick with his knuckle last and how come he can get a second chance in campaign and continue well very clearly because and this is this is the irony of what cabernet kapernick was broadly. Protest cabinet was specifically protesting. police brutality. Or you know. Law enforcement interactions with communities of color. Right and we could see against the backdrop of the pandemic. the flash point was an incident that that american cities were roiling because of that very issue. So it's not a cabinet was talking about an issue that wasn't pertinent. That wasn't germane to our time. Broadly he was talking about social injustice along color lines. And we could see that. Unless you think black people are much worse at making money than white people intrinsically few believe that good luck. Then you know that the reason. There's such a disparity in wealth along racial lines because of this country's original sin slavery and following slavery reconstruction and following reconstruction. Jim crow an ongoing systemic racism. And so capper nick. Like the reason he doesn't have a job is because the people that own football teams whether or not they believe. They're sympathetic to him. Do not come from the same background. Have benefited from the racial injustice. Means out of thirty two owners zero african-american owners in the nfl and so he has not been hired precise. the irony is for the very reason that he's protesting. Those owners see their business interests as being cabernet protests being antithetical to their business interests. I don't know that they're right about that. I don't know that they're right about that because he has an enormous following as well. But that's what they believe. And so he doesn't have a job straight talk wireless has ruled out five g..

"I want your opinion. i'll tell you what it is now. What non quarterback has the most pressure on them this year non quarterback. There's only one correct answer. I hear anyone say odell beckham junior because that would be the correct answer. Let me make it crystal clear for everyone. Is there any other non quarterback who will be blamed if his team doesn't make the playoffs. Is there any other non quarterback who you will look at say. That guys responsible bigger mayfield. Odell beckham junior and get along pretty obvious. They didn't have chemistry they. They need separation of divorce and hotel. One of the most talented players in the world always mentioned the top three receivers he and antonio brown who jones all that long ago and they weren't throwing the ball he's being double double covered and they weren't throwing the ball but they also weren't getting the ball to anyone else and that's when odell started making a little noise he's like look all right. I don't get a lot of you know looks but if i'm not getting the looks than other guys should be catching the ball to don someone's open problem this baker mayfield number one once upon a time. Alex smith had three offensive coordinators in his first season. See that's not why this is not good then finally got some stability. Oh look is pretty good. Baker mayfield number. One overall pick. Alex smith had one two three four head coaches in basically two seasons four. Hugh jackson williams. Then what's his name and then stefanski. Who am i thinking of rudge. Who who didn't the his coach. Two years ago baker mayfield names leaving membrane brain anyway. The point is four head coaches in two years. Pretty kitchens so hugh jackson. Greg williams kitchens and now kevin stefanski. You understand how bad the first three guys were. Hugh jackson a freddie kitchens. Greg williams kitchens or unemployable in the nfl by teams right. Kathy lost coaching jobs. And it's not only. They lost coaching job. We don't want to see them as coaches of any kind again. So bad then got a guy. Nudie was doing won eleven games top ten and qbr no odell beckham hotel beckham. Junior wasn't on the team so till the browns when eleven games make the playoffs by beating big brother pittsburgh steelers last day of the season and then beat the steelers in the playoffs to advance to face the chiefs and then lost the kansas city by one score so finally. The browns are coming up in the world and they did it. All without odell odell should be additive. I still think if he's healthy. He's going to be the best receiver in the game. I don't think anyone's talented. Not not more talented than odell. I don't think anyone's as talented as odell but now he's joining a winning team. That was winning without him and if they don't make the playoffs everyone's gonna be looking at him. There's no position player and by the way he's going to be just going to turn twenty nine this season and cute anymore right. Maybe the last bits of his physical prime. He's been around the block a couple times. He knows how it is. he's got fit in. No position player is facing more pressure than odell. Eighty eight say. Espn seven to nine. three seven. Six mason in texas. You're on the mac scouring show. Espn radio buddy. Hey i no longer. qb question. but i just wanted to bring up. Drew lock the broncos. Like you said you made the biggest splash. And i think he came out swinging. I wanted to hear your opinion on it. I agree drew. Lock between him and bridgewater drew lock. I think he looked pretty good. I talked about the second year quarterbacks. But just young quarterbacks in general we still haven't seen daniel jones but a lot of talent at quarterback. Now do i think drew locks going to be a great quarterback. I do not but he looked like an nfl quarterback to me and he looked like the best quarterback on the roster on the roster to me by a little bit. And there's another guy who pretty good. This is the max kellerman show coming to you. Live from the seaport. Sorry from above the heineken river deck at pier. Seventeen rogers has a new way to get me to say things. I'm supposed to say on the year. He doesn't let me see anything else. john in texas. You're on the max kellerman show what's up. Hey max three thinks yes one I'm not gonna ask you how you doing a very good. That's cool I is zeke elliott as the most pressure. That's wrong three. I've been following boxing. Max for probably over fifty years. And i gotta tell you i don't think there's a solo live cosell or pacheco. Anybody else knows and understands the game as well as you. It now john. That's a very big compliment. I appreciate the fact that you didn't say what's up. That's a point for john. Now stephen made the case for ezekiel elliott is facing the most pressure. But the fact is is the guy everyone's looking at because it used to be a run based offense or at least that's how it was perceived. The offensive line was not as good. Zeke was a little fat. He didn't have a great season last year. The offensive line is back in healthy. There should be pretty good. Ezekiel elliott elliott lost weight..

"With carson wentz and so this is the second week of his rest since his surgery next week starts rehab and If that goes as expected. And i can tell you. They're expecting good things and the same is true of clinton nelson. They're all pro guard and we one is very much in the picture out. There can't be setbacks and this may be a little bit of a pain management issue but they're pretty positive about this behind the scenes. And even frank were right on. The record is pretty positive about it now. He said he didn't know but it'd be one or two but but At the same time it's it's far better than what everybody was saying. Oh my goodness you could be out there. we ate. That still happens if the other injury. But right now the expectation Or certainly the way he's training is they. They think we want more possible than say not return until week it to me the biggest problem with carson wentz. He's such a tough guy. And i was there in. La when he destroyed his leg and then didn't say anything and completed two more passes after he should've been in hospital thing. You gotta worry about with a guy like that coming back from injury and we saw it with back on hard knocks last night at a more dacca's wanting to do more wanting to do more put me in coach and all that and wound up with another injury but after finally throwing the ball. Do you think jack is out of the woods with his shoulder. i'm gonna go based off And i have such high regard for tim. Hasselbeck one of our nfl analyst and former quarterback Who's had a similar injury and phil simms a former super bowl. Mvp and a good friend Formerly the new york giants says you know and phil says you know when it said you know the was known for having a great arm and arm never got tired. No problems except the nineteen eighty nine when he hurt his ankle and tried to play through it and that was the only time his arm got sore and he said he and of course in the playoffs. He was terrible. So these are things that you just have to. You do have to manage it. So i can't. I don't think it's like well simple rest and he'll get back in vigo good as ever because there's still noted guy dislocated his ankle. He's been rehabbing that ankle. That's your that's your plant foot and the one you just eat twist on when you throw the football and So i think we'll be okay. I think the cowboys internally think it'd be okay but if we could it could be a story. I think mike mccarthy will keep them on a bit of a pitch count as we go along which would only be smart. And i just go back a little bit max on On carson wentz. 'cause we were talking about you. You mentioned the tornado acl. But i i know that. The eagles eagles battle with winds behind the scenes Especially the first couple of years with well y- acl and and then the stress fracture in his back eventually Sat him down the next year. I can tell you. The eagles basically said the guy has a high pain threshold and the high alpha drive to play even when he's hurting. He's no question tough guy so so the culture aware of that but even the my understanding even the dodgers have said you know once they had the surgery and i. I think the surgery was exactly what they were open for Was that you know this. Might be pain. Management issue for both guys as opposed to injure it type of surgery more. What just personally for you. Which rookie are looking forward to seeing the most. Oh gosh so. Many of them I gotta admit. I have a fondness for devante smith Because you really on a size about one hundred sixty six pounds. And i know he's injured for a couple of weeks but i just think that you know guys special i mean i and i have some bias For personal reasons with alabama. Not because i wanted to alabama heck. I didn't even finish. Do college of california nominated for two nominated for. Yeah you know. Don't know anybody. But but i can tell you. This is that what is fascinating. Because that whole concept we just saw isaac bruce Enshrined in the hall of fame and marvin. Harrison's already there. And i think bruce weighed like one seventy three when he was at the combine so I'm really excited about him. I'm excited about trevor lawrence. I wanna see is he. Everybody i talked to said yes. He's the number one quarterback. It was a rare year. Where every gm i talked you said yes but there. There were very in degrees of excitement about him and news. Yasim though i wanna see just how good he's going to be. And i certainly am looking forward to seeing what Justin fields does with the bears. Andy dalton is a diff- and he's a good quarterback but if doesn't feels is gonna show something what we expect and one of my most trusted personnel guys on quarterbacks told me very early on in three years he thinks just feels will be the best out of the law. I mean if you can pick up a. They've never had a special quarterback in my lifetime. The bears if you can pick up a special quarterback at eleven. Oh my god what they find. They would finally gone any good. What's that look at any good now. That's not my lifetime morbid more. I'm forty eight years old. I don't remember. Sid luck mendel. Oh that's that's even on my lifetime. The great chris mortensen ladies and gentlemen. You gotta come on this show like regularly this. I needed. ask all right on do roger. i want the ban on chris. Mortensen that you for some reason put down. He's obviously grady's reputation precedes him and yet for some reason. You have you've Blacklisted him from the show. I have no idea. Why raj. But i want it listed whatever it is before i take this upstairs. All right thanks. We'll see what we can do. We love more. Thanks more straight talk wireless. I just love not only does he have all the info but he's always underneath just a little impatient with my football fan questions. You feel that raj. You know what i mean like. He's a little bit. Look kid. I know all this stuff all right. I don't know about these this year. Asking the kind of question that a fan at a bar would ask us something. Let me tell you that. I can't get michael tom when you ask them to. Michael thomas he wound up agreeing with you. But when i listened to his dominated the answer i don't know.

"Is there on the goodyear hotline. Yeah i'm here on. Espn nfl analyst. I they told me that they couldn't get in touch with you. Then i looked down and there you are all in red las waiting on the line going on bro. Not much buddy how are you. It's great to be back with you. Yes yes. Dan had the nerve to tweet at me the other day. What you i forgot what the tweet was. But you were saying cite your sources. 'cause you claim that i'd taken something from you and then what did i do dan. What did i produce. You somehow created a false Content that you said what i had. You had said matthew stafford under the most pressure on the quarterback. And i feel i have felt that way and i was like max. I said this back in june when i said it and you were like check. Your sources bro. I and you had said march or something. By the way baker mayfield has elite ball placement any as an absolute ken inferno baker as a canon. Go back to the baltimore ravens game. Last year he actually the ball out of the end zone. Seventy three yards. Oh wow who has. I don't remember that who has a bigger arm rate. The arms just strengthened the arms. Josh allen lamar jackson baker. Mayfield josh allen baker mayfield lamar jackson. You have big rover over lamar who rate this speed between josh allen. Lamar jackson baker. Mayfield foot speed lamar jackson and he's not even in the conversation. Then josh baker might Rate accuracy baker mayfield over arts actions over josh. I don't see. I don't see when you talk about elite ball placement. My point is to me a lot of the twin. I was trying to make a messed up asking about accuracy after you talked about as league ball policemen but the the point i'm trying to make is baker would probably be second in a lot of those questions right and the other guys show up in more of those questions first and third. Maybe but the. But i don't see bakers being like the super accurate quarterback. I see him as being accurate enough. I think both josh and the mar have things within their game. That allow them to thrive individually to a level that baker. Just we'll never get to. Josh has the six or five hundred and forty pound rocket arm kind of creative athlete. That baker can never gets you and so that's gonna allow them to thrive overcome things make up for things that baker just can't do and then lamar has the game changing vertical speed while also the lateral shifty. Nece that again covers up makes up things but also enhances your playbook that baker will never have doesn't have those things but it's like an his game it's dan it's like a evaluating pitching prospects or even great pitchers in the major leagues right. The well rounded pitcher who doesn't have the best fastball but has a good one who doesn't have the best command but has good command right. Who can do is is like a lotta times number three starter but the other guys who may be flawed in certain areas but have that over. The top stuff can be aces. They can be hammers at the top of the rotation josh allen. Lamar jackson in different ways. Remind me of that. I more than baker mayfield. You're saying i'm wrong. No i would agree with that. I think that's a good analogy. Like josh in the mar. Both have ninety eight mile an hour fastballs in ninety two mile an hour curve volts. You know it's just they've they've got more high level stuff while bakers. Probably a lot like greg. Maddox you know really. I don't wanna put greg maddux a hall of famer but paint to be very heavy little. Tom candiotti than greg maddux. Hey dan or steve avery. At least then but i i get your drift. Okay i want to move onto dax shoulder with you because there's been a lot of talk like oh. Why isn't he practicing. What's going on with that. How concerned are you about that shoulder. I'm not concerned right now. It's got my attention max. But i'm not concerned about two years ago week. Seventeen on the road against philli to win the division that shoulder that same shoulder. That's hurt now is hurt. Then he can't play as well as you want the ankle and then the shoulder. So i'm not concerned has my attention. I'd say this 'cause the question is when do you get concerned when it becomes one and hinder a hindrance to him playing or to a hindrance to him playing well you know that's what i get concerned and i think we're three weeks away from that. I think people are making a way too big a deal about them talking to the rangers about it. I would actually say it's negligent to not talk to the rangers. They're right in your backyard and they deal with people who throw every day right and so they're going to be much more Understanding and had seen much more. And so i still think we're a couple of weeks away from this becomes now. Do i think it's going to be a part of the narrative this season. Yes i do because you're just not gonna get much time off but if it doesn't affect his ability player play well then. I don't think much of it i'd say one he shouldn't have played in the anyway. I would not have played anyway and then too. I think it's really important for the cowboys to understand what they're going to ask him this year. Like ask him to throw the ball a lock and be really really really good just for me. I just don't think there's any benefits are rushing back. You know. I have to ask you another thing. Then i noticed that. You're never late for mike. Greenberg or a keyshawn johnson yet for the max. Kellerman show dan orlovsky. Prompt denver laskey shows up a three minutes late. What happened yeah. I think it's important to just shun subliminal and nonverbal messages that people received received yes actually talking to field. Yates about nfl alive today so that. That's that's why i was a little tardy. I apologize say no. No the message received you finally through something that someone.

"They managed to acquire weapons around him to make that he could thrive in their market. He did and now. they paid him at a level. That doesn't make him a homes but makes him set for life. This is playing chess while everybody else is playing checkers. Samak's kellerman show on espn radio. I'm jason fitz. I'm gonna get some expertise on this because when it comes to these things. I'm the first to admit. I've never sat in front office. So we'll get to the goodyear hotline where we're joined by. Espn nfl front office. Insider one of my favorite people just as a human being that we have at this company but also great insights. Mike tannenbaum mike man. I appreciate your time. I know this is busy. Cheers to all right. Mike your reaction. You've heard what i've said here. I'm he'd been a lot of praise. Are you happy with this. Deal is i am yeah jay's first of all under the doctrine of reciprocity i've never been a world class violinist so i think we gotta start with that so okay so you. You haven't done what i've done but there's very few people on the plant done what you've done so i think that just bears noting for our audience often said with that said i have talked to people In around the contract who loves seeing it. I think this is a really terrific contract. It's a win win for buffalo. As you said they have cau- certainly at the most important position. Josh allen has continued to get better improved. He's obviously Top to your quarterback something they had to get done from the player standpoint. This has really strong guarantees hundred million dollars at signing which is record upwards of one hundred and fifty million in total guarantee so. This was a really strong deal. Forty three million. A year is a massive amount of money. And i think this is a contract. Jason that's a win win so let's look at the keys them for the bills moving forward if you're going to spend forty three million dollars a year on the quarterback what becomes the most important part for the bills moving forward on how they construct their roster. Yeah that's a great question to me. It's always about front. I think they've done a really good job with the offensive line. Didn't gotta keep four to find that. Look as you mentioned. They went out last year and got stuff on digs. He's obviously a key piece. We monitor the coldeze situation. Because you'll allow those passes last year and brian tables offense were long hand offs. That help josh. Allen continue improve. His completion percentage. So i think it's the offensive line. I and weapon second. You mentioned. completion percentage. Stick there we're talking to mike tannenbaum. Espn nfl front office. Max kellerman show jason fitz villain and. There's this thing that. I hear all the time especially covering college football that accuracy doesn't get fixed and quarterbacks but josh allen is absolutely the exception to the rule. How did they do that. I would say there's a great axiom and this really applies to life which is basically your baseline talent sets before in a character the ceiling. Meaning that josh. Allen came into the league with a good skill set. He was not very accurate at wyoming. A lot of teams concerns. We did certainly miami about you know how good was that going to translate. And he worked his towel off. He got really good coaching from brian. Ball the score nader. Ken dorsey the quarterback coach and he got better and like we talked about when you have guys like cool beasley. Those are quarterbacks best friend third down completions and obviously stefan digs in the best receivers in the nfl. So it's really combination of all those things character coaching weapons. So obviously when we look at contracts mike we always look at other players that sit around him. I won't ask you about mahomes. Because as i've said loudly mahomes lives in a different category. But they did decide on highest average per year on this contract to pay him more than back. Would if you were sitting in the front office would you be comfortable with that. Yeah you know. It's one of those. Things is a great question. Jason and candidate..

"Max. Now if you were listening at the end of last segment. I said i was going to respond to travis from virginia beach this segment after the commercial. Break so i wanted to respond that i said you know what brandon. Can you play me that. Our technical leader brendan. Can you play me that. Set that call again. I wanna make sure. I understand his point so we listened to the call again and i think his point was that the nfc east is tough. No one gets the last couple years the worst division ever. what's he talking about. And he kept referring to the washington team by their old name. But i don't listen to this phone. Call rogers listen to this again brennan. Let's play the phone call i. I need to make heads or tails out of what travis from virginia beach saying. What's his point. Listen hey thanks for taking my call. I'm a cowboys fan. And i was just thinking about how you were talking redskins tasha then if the east guaranteed i think it's the top division every year though my sticks is if now everyone wants to ride the tom brady. Tom brady wait. If the divisions change and he wasn't playing into scrub the he always played every single year. It came over to my division and try to get a taste of the redskins and cowboys every year. I put tom brady. Yes his division stunk for a long time and they're not called that name anymore. They're called the washington football franchise yet. Finally but tom brady did not come to the nfc east. And in fact. When tom brady came to the nfc south he won the super bowl his first season. What and the saints were in the division who are excellent. I don't understand. I can't that's my response to that call. I don't understand what is someone meeting. Could help me with this. Dimitrius in kentucky. You're on the max kellerman show. Espn radio you doing max I wanna say. I appreciate everything you do you. I was going to say. I was gonna say something about the cowboys but i'm not going to waste it on that. Do you think that journey sports journalists. That didn't play the game or a dying breed because Stephen a guys like you will barn. You know you guys are amazing and what you do. And i just when i look at it nowadays. I don't see as much of the people. I think there's a reason i appreciate that commentary. I'll i'll i'll answer the question like this are people who didn't play the game in sports media dying breed me stephen and will and obviously kornheiser and there others I would say this. The answer is not a dying breed but as a percentage of people in sports media. Yes fewer i think. Now i have the numbers in front of me but it does seem to me. There are a lot of high profile former athletes. Now doing the job that i do and there's a good reason for that there's money in this business. They want to do more than just play their sport. They've long life ahead of them. They hope after they're done. Playing many of them are charismatic and articulate and can do the job the way some of us can and they have more credibility because they played. So you're putting sport show together and like you think of the basketball show thinking about that. Okay ernie hosts but they all have the kind of poor on air. Like you look at tony and mike on. Pti barclay and kenny and shack. Have that kind of stuff on air. But they're two of the greatest players who ever lived and a champion and kenny smith. Like why wouldn't you want that show. So yeah there are more guys like that. Were fewer guys a percentage. It seems to me doing the job i'm doing. He didn't play. There's good reason for it. You can pick better guys. You can pick guys who've actually played. I mean you've got to be really special not to have played and still be able to talk about it and make living. That's raj very very few people worth listening to. Who didn't play boy. Better be special undoing. Rach see what i'm saying will will in texas. You're on the max kellerman show espn radio max. i'm from brazil. I've been here in the united states since nineteen ninety nine and became a dallas cowboys. Fan sorry huge mistake. I think yup. I never seen them going anywhere. But i got a couple of questions for you buddy one is the cowboys are making the playoffs. And two is a worth it all that money. That jerry jones paid back prescott. Okay one into one. I would suggest to become giants fan. We'll take us on the giants. Why not but i okay. We'll they make the plus. I don't think they will. I think that's a nine win team. And i think that that won't be enough. I don't think they'll win the east. And i don't think there'll be a wild card so my answers no on the cowboys making the playoffs. I don't think the defense will be good enough now as to the second question what. I'm trying to remember what it was. And what was the second question. Raj dactyl jerry. Waste money back no. He waited too long to pay back. And as a result had to pay top dollar for deck and dacca's is worth something south of what mahomes in rogers would get right because he's not as good as those guys but he is an excellent quarterback. And if you've got one you keep them and now they have their quarterback that's the thing that most teams are looking for. And you know he's coming off a big injury but that was the first one of his career. He's been pretty sturdy. Before then. So i don't think he wasted money on deck. Brian in california. You're on the max kellerman show. Espn radio hey. Thanks for the time. two questions old school steelers fan. You have tons asked you that last year vauxhall we. One point five yards rushing the ball and we led the league and drops and we still want thirteen games. Yeah what do you think. How much is that. The blame on robert i. I don't think it's rothlisberger. I think. I think russ burgers older but the offensive line was the issue. And that's why you couldn't run the ball. And i don't know that they address the offensive line well enough. But we're going to get into a steelers preview coming up aaron rodgers and the pack trying to make up..

"I've got some questions for if you want to. Hop on the phone. we were talking earlier to stephen. I was talking earlier about chris. Paul do you think. It's a smart bet to on chris paul for four more years. I still think it's it's okay. Mostly because i have a lot of faith in his training staff but i'm sure people are hesitant for that. You know when they heard that news. Same jimmy butler is thirty. Two years old miami's committing tama. We'll be thirty two years old and september miami's committing to him for another five years. Those tips miles men. Although jimmy didn't play for like crazy minutes with tips he didn't do the joke. Noah derrick rose luol dang thing for long enough and even in minnesota. He didn't play crazy crazy minutes with tips. So and jimmy hasn't had the injuries history that those guys have had but nonetheless it still a crazy you know long deal and i think that committing that far out is is a big question. I mean they've committed to kyle. Lowry has thirty five for the next couple years but also did the knicks. Just get played. I know nuno's in there. I purposely this is targeted. You might as well just call. Hr because i am harassing you with your with your sports fandom at the moment but the knicks. Everyone's talking about the knicks cap space. Basically the knicks got played like they always do basically. That's how it works. What do you do this like. I thought we were cool. We are cool. But you know i'm kind of jerk. You know so. It is what it is. I couldn't help myself sorry. So yeah you. Nick scott played and you know. He's a nice player. I don't know if he's seventy plus million dollars nice but you know it is what it is. It's a three plus one george. They'll have an option at the fourth. So it's not that much money. Well if it makes you feel any better you know. I mean your hope. You could always rely upon the fact that zion doesn't take the rookie extension and could be the first guy not all right talk. Oh good lord. I will say this. I love david griffin. But i'm going like whoa. I mean devante graham. That's a lot to give up for devante. Graham and zion loves lonzo. I people are worried about zion than they are. They clearly don't aren't worried about zion. Because they clearly feel that he is going to sign that rookie extension and they've got more time to build but scary stuff speaking of scary stuff. The ramps matthew stafford injured yesterday. His surgically repaired thumb got hurt at practice yesterday. Basically banged his thumb on. Somebody's helmet in practice. Which is always scary. Ridiculous when you're talking about the investments we making in these players particularly quarterback right. You look at all your teams right. You're we're like oh no. My quarterback downey banged his stomach. The helmet it's just like it's so ridiculous because that can happen on any given play so all of us are sitting here going. No don't happen to me but apparently while the alarm was sounded yesterday about his surgically repaired thumb x rays are negative. So looks like everything's gonna be okay. Just need a little rest and no big deal. But i am ready. I am ready for the nfl season. And clearly i love the.

"We will delay my way too early way way way too early. Nba power rankings. Perhaps for one more segment. Because i wanna talk to the people so as you heard christine. Lucy say steph curry signs. An extent with the warriors. Come anthony signs. The lakers rosen is also visiting the clippers. I'll add that So there's plenty of stuff afoot right now. Nba free agency eight. Say espn eight. Eight eight seven nine. Three seven seven six. Let's go to andre in massachusetts andre. How are you doing well. Thanks for taking the call. Listen on agency. I think a lot of teams position themselves specifically the miami heat you know in terms of being contenders but i don't think Changed the overall power dynamics in the nba. for me. i still. I still think you have to go through brooklyn and milwaukee in the east and then out west. Obviously chris paul coming back to. Phoenix was essential even though he's not the overall play that's devon booker but you still have denver utah. I don't think that the move the lakers made to me necessarily put them ahead of those teams. That were leading the conferences Last year you know they're in the conversation specifically chicago. I'm a big fan of Billy donovan as a coach. Mark averagely as general manager and overseeing everything are tourist kosovo's in terms of how he's building up that organization in the mix for demar the rosen's so you know adding lonzo to what they're doing they're going to be in the playoff hunt could possibly maybe make some noise give their first round opponent some trouble but at at the end of the day. I'm not thinking that the final four the top teams in each conference or any difference because it moves that were made in free agency. Wait nice though. You think that the sons are still one of the teams to beat in the western conference and vida and the reason being and just a brief little history lesson here now. The one that gets deep into but in ninety three. The sons went to the finals. Charles barkley was mvp. It was great. They should've went back in ninety. Four ninety five when houston one those two championships. They were up to zero three one again happen and and their their window close so by getting to the finals this year and bring back that same group together. I'm not gonna all of a sudden stage because other teams can help the and other teams added players. The lakers attorney andre here. Here's what i would say to that. And thank you for the call. What i would say to you is this is the western conference is ridiculously tough and if you had a completely different team. That wasn't the lakers sons who were in the last two finals. Make the finals. That wouldn't surprise me. There are plenty of teams in the west. That could come out. I talked about this yesterday. How i look at ten teams potentially winning the championship like you can make a legit case for that. Let me go to tim in colorado. Talk about carmelo. Anthony signing with the lakers tim. What's up hey so with carmelo scoring like you're talking about doesn't help the lakers win games and the playoffs. I mean i guess. I guess last year the game. She went off on blazers loss because he doesn't play defense so i think getting him off or stop. It doesn't help the lakers. I think it's gonna be interesting. Is whether or not the lakers signed shooter and people because they need somebody to play and burn minutes during the regular season insurer can definitely give you twenty five minutes a game thirty during the regular season. I think they're gonna to keep them. Yeah i don't. I don't see that i mean not that number that he wants to thank you for the call and i would disagree. There were plenty of moments. Where carmelo anthony had games last season particularly. There are at least a handful where he had big games and they won. So i i would disagree with that. I appreciate the call though. Let's go to jason in california. Wants to talk about the lakers. Signings jason how are you anywhere. Represent seven ten s. Okay so i gotta say this. If you're saying the laker moves are not worthy. They don't realize that pelinka doing all this with pennies on the dollar. These are all veteran. Minimum mid-level exception. So i really loved these moves and second. Now that pelinka making out this this roster does it now take i. Guess you doubt of if it's gonna work with russell westbrook 'cause i think now now that everyone kept saying where's the shooting. We got the shooting. So let's go have a great day. I jason thank you buddy. I look i think it helps for sure. More ellington carmelo maliki monk. I think that helps for sure. I don't think there's any question. They still have macklemore on the roster. So they've got guys. The question is going to be. Can frank vogel. The head coach of the lakers find the right combination on a given day. That to me is what this is going to be about. They've got the guys with the requisite resume to shoot the ball. But can they find the right combination. Both offensively and defensively to help those particular. Three players thrive and it may be a different group every night right now in theory in theory you'd wanna get guys who you can count on more regularly than others but it may be a mixing and matching situation. Briars in idaho prior. What's up. i'm not the much My question for you is are. You don't in or dunk out with giving away gore in for kyle lowry. I'm dumped in calories a better player than garon dragging brian. Thank you for the call. I think he's certainly a much better defender. It's not even close. I think offensively. I think kyle gives you more even than goran. Drudge does at this stage. Let me sneak in one more. Let me sneak in one more. Let me grab a. Who is the gentleman who disagreed with me. Rods that you had up there he draft. He couldn't handle it. Oh couldn't oh. I wanted to talk to the guy always like talking to guys. Wanna fight with me. Call back guy who wants to fight with that guy who says i'm a laker homer. I just like i literally just told the guy who was saying the suns. We'll go back of that. I wouldn't be surprised if there wasn't a new team representing the western conference. That wasn't the two teams that were most recently there which includes the lakers..

"Let me tell you this story. So each and every morning each and every morning my son matteo two years old. And i watch i take and he always asks on. Tv's at this age we ask. Who's that who's that. who's that. So he asks one day. As i'm watching i take. Who's that and. I say that stephen so now every day when watching i take walks in the room. He says there stephen a. but now what happens is every time i have espn. He asks me where stephen a. And i said just wait sun hill eventually beyond sooner rather than later so you you are the most popular. Espn sports personality in my household. I that is the fruit of my loins and you are more popular than me. Well that's only for now as he as he gets a little bit older and rash and he comprehends a rationalize taking care of and was paying the bills. Who's making to live better for him. It will quickly be his daddy. It won't be me worry about that. You're good to go appreciate i. So let's talk. Let's work backwards here. I was just talking about the heat. But i wanna talk to you about the lakers. I which i open. So the lakers. Dwight howard trevor aretha. Ken pays more weight. Ellington on the surface. I like those moves. They still have the shooter. Bullet potentially in a sign and trade. How do you feel about the lakers. And what they're crafting. the moment. Well i definitely think that elevating themselves to championship contention not to say that. They had the it from those ranks. We all know that if lebron james anthony davis will completely healthy chances are the los angeles lakers would've advanced past the first round and the phoenix suns would have never been nba finals. So when you look at it from that perspective and then you take into account that thing just added russell. Westbrook who's point guard we've ever seen in nba history who's walking triple double Clearly aggressive can create his own shock and make things happen. You've been doing. I think he needs to improve or in reality when you look at that. Three you know that the championship caliber. There's no denying that. And then you add ellington a shooting at a guy like trouble reeser I personally think they'll get carmelo anthony as well When you look at it from that perspective in terms of dwight howard back i think that's gonna buffer their front line to some degree. He was clearly a benefit and somebody They're frank vogel have more faith than than montreal's herrell. I think you take all of those things in consideration. And i definitely think you have to look at the lakers being on the come up and moving in a positive direction my redder. My reticence would be that again. When the playoffs arrived defenses back you don't have as many opportunities in the open court. You're essentially a half cortines and by virtue of being that half court teen. Can we rely on lebron james and russell westbrook to be stout enough from the perimeter and more importantly or just as important from the free throw line. Let's remember you know where you look in brooklyn and you see a heart in a car three k. d. kyri shot ninety two percents that are free to james shot. Eighty six percent for the free throw line..

"In general manager role to conduct business. 'cause you can't your job as a gm is to minimize risk to the club. Do the best deals in the name of the club hundred. How you minimizing risk right. Now you wind up meeting coming close. You know meeting the demands of the houston texans right now in terms of trade compensation from if you believe reports is any as upwards of two anywhere you know in the neighborhood of your number one. Four number ones in a franchise type player five number one five. I mean they're asking for just ridiculous ridiculous return on a guy who has nothing but questions surrounding him. I can do even take yourself down that road at this point knowing that with this blows up in my face. What if the things come down in a turn for the worse for him and then and therefore then it's gonna take a turn for the worst for me because i'm the one who just basically mortgage my friends sizes future for this opposes faces the franchise who now may not even be available to me because of legal situation. That's a hell of a risk man. I'll risk and if you can if you can compartmentalize football from real life situations like this. You're a better man than me and quite honestly you know i i. I don't know you you can go ahead and do it. You can have it. I just want to have more information to accurately be able to make the best decision for the club and minimize risk. The club which is what my number one. Marching order is as. That's why i love talking to them. Espn front office. Insider louis riddick is joining us. And i'll say this quickly before we move on lewis. You remind me of the principal. I constantly tell people which is at the end of the day everybody from coaching staff to the people running an organization still sit dinner with their family and they explained why they leveraged everything why they risk their ability to pay their bills why they risk their house on that move. I think that's an impossible thing to do. Without the info. I gotta ask you real quick before we let you go Obviously madden ratings are coming out You know for you as a player. Do you ever remember watching the ratings. Come out and taking a look to see how the video game rated louis riddick. No matter now you know what you're funny man. First of all there was no internet when i was playing. That's how long ago. I was planning number two. You know what you. I knew what my ratings were. It was on my nephews. Come to my house in atlanta and they would be in my office and i'd hear them all in there giggling about the fact that they put me on like kick return or in the game at running back or something and i just hear them in there going. He's so slow he can't run and then they come out and be oakland you sick you get like you know what you jerk get out of it. That's how i found out about mine rating. That's amazing you guys can follow us twitter at espn check him out across all of our platforms. Lewis is always man. i appreciate it. Thanks for joining me. Appreciate ardent And so it's like the thought of just looking at my own ratings and just no lie. I'll always say this we all laugh about madden ratings. Tell you apply to your own work. Whatever you do for a living. Like when i was a touring musician the thought of a video game coming out where i would have to see how somebody decided in an office. I ranked playing the fiddle against other players on the road. Oh that would've made me matter like even now sitting in front of a microphone. Like what are we going to do a radio like we all know. I'd be like a seven in reading on a scale of one to one hundred but an energy. I better be in the ninety nine club. That's all i'm saying it's it's a phenomenon that all ranking happens and just getting started by the way coming up speech john gruden's last season with my beloved raiders. "I'm here i got you. Listen ryan i know. You are c. and d. c. Or is it what. What did he call now. Rc what is dc ours. You may know they had to put the two time champ name. I well that was. I loved you in star. Wars or drc. Whatever it listen. The point is this. I've been trying to get daniel cormier to be max on. Mma hits on youtube. And i've been trying to get him to do maximum with me now for like two weeks and he's always supposed to be there and then he'd never is and i noticed every time in our c. Happened that day. And i think what's happening is you're you're you're you're juicing them for everything he's got. He's got nothing left when he's done with that what's happening now. Man no man. I don't think he's kind like you max. When when it comes to boxing you could go on and on and on because you've experienced so much. Dc's the same way man. Maybe you intimidate him. I know maybe sitting across a talking to a guy. Like max. Kelham it all that knowledge may. Maybe he's just too scared to come on. Show no not an ma. I'll tell you what the difference is. Dc has all that knowledge and he was also champion. I love with stephen be debating about the nba. Or whatever and you'll get in on mba demand debating and then if you watch like chuck and shack and catch up. You're like they're doing the same thing only by the way they're champions or else. One of the greatest players ever is different. It's a little different louis different Now when you're talking football however you are a champion and you're an excellent player and you are an nfl analyst here on espn. And you're on the goodyear your hotline right now so i must ask you about football ryan. How does the packers get through this. Aaron rodgers situation. What do you do if you're the packers win. When you offer a guy an opportunity to be the highest paid player in the history of the sport and he refuses that. Doesn't it leave you at a loss. Don't you usually feel like money fixes all elements all disagreements when it comes to professional athletes. you know. Dak prescott is happy as he could ever be to be the quarterback of the dallas cowboys You know a guy. Like patrick mahomes saying he wants to be a kansas city chiefs for life. And that's because they made these pledges to them of love with money. The green bay packers try that and it wouldn't work. I think which only clarified and only solidified with so many of us thought was that was. This is personal and you know when emotion gets involved in disputes. Max it takes away all rationale and logic and so right now. None of us can predict what's going to happen. The green bay packers can't figure this out. Because this is personal to aaron rodgers and the next step is either going to have to be get rid of aaron rodgers or get rid of someone he wants gone as an executive and it seems to be gm. Brian goon icus now talking ryan clark. Espn nfl analyst. Extraordinaire here on the mexico. Show espn radio ryan. Also big combat. Sports guy can talk boxing. Mma obviously nba. But we're talking football right now. My take on the situation ryan for what it's worth is that there are the quarterback position to become so important because of the rules. Changes to offense that the extreme outliers the really great ones. You know like in other words russell. Wilson is on the fence here. I'm talking about the other. Worldly ones have more power than anyone in the organization including the gm nowadays and there are three guys fit that description. We'll see if trevor lawrence justin herbert ever gets there shawn watson may have been on his way but his off the field problems now. Maybe not the tom brady. Patrick mahomes and aaron rodgers. And what i think is happening here is the front office meaning murphy and good. Kunst do not have the humility necessary to get the job done. What i mean by that is they need to come out and say aaron rodgers is our boss. He tells us what to do. He's the decision maker. He will decide what he's going to do and we will do whatever he wants. Obviously we'll do what we're told because we want to keep him. That's the most important thing like if they were to truly hugh humble themselves. I think they would find it humiliating because they lacked the necessary humility. They think they're in. They're in charge. They think the boss and with a game with its roots in the military west point values rank and doesn't want insubordination. The players always supposed to know their lane but things have changed when. Tom says this is what i want. You better do it. When aaron rogers says this is what i want you better do it and i think if they would do that first publicly humble themselves and then tell rogers we really messed up. We're old school this way. It's always been done. We shouldn't have done it that way. We're sorry you're right we're wrong. You're smart stupid. You're or ugly all those things and then gave him the money. Maybe they'd have shot. But ultimately rogers is going to make the decision. And i don't think they ever really understood that. Yeah i think. That's what i kinda understood from the beginning. And if you watch aaron rogers and his movement throughout this process they have been very calculated whether it be what he posts what he tweets where. He's seen the things he's done and all of those things lead to you. Know what. I'm in my own lane now. I'm in a place of peace where aaron rodgers comes first not football not the organization and you're right about humility..

"Sixers should trae ben simmons. That's right so cj mccollum that's naturally. Yeah but guess what. There are people according to stephen a. who's receiving texts during the show that don't want important people you can imagine. You might be in portland. Don't want ben simmons there andrea massachusetts. You're on the mac color show. Espn radio listening to this. Playoff is to me is less about injury than it is about toughness. Now max you know. Boxing very well in in boxing. We have something called a glass jaw. And what. I'm seeing here when he's playoffs. Have these superstar players in these big name. Markets just feels. The nba needs them to excel them for the nba finals. In to this idea that because that you're just giving you know the past move on we've got teams. Don't teams coming up as hungary out there getting the job done. I don't think it's about injury. I think it's about toughness. The teams that are delaying hearing where we hold them. Andre andre hold on a second you can say that but when they didn't even have hardened just a healthy kadian kyri. They were beating the brakes off the box with the two of their big three. If they had hardened to data bit they swept the bucks in three games mercy rule. You have to stop the series but not only did they lose harden sorry kyri harden never really came back. He was on the court he was a negative. He was a detriment to the team. He couldn't help facilitate the offense. He hurt their transition game. He couldn't play defense he was. He toughed it out but he just didn't have it so so this idea that it's about toughness if they're simply healthy and it's not like kyrie coulda powered his way. You hurt but when it was just two of the three the bucks were not competitive the bucks one because the nets got hurt. That's it that's it if the next if the nets don't get hurt it's humiliating series for the bucks has k. d. finally taken the crown from lebron. I'll get into it coming up. The max kellerman show on. Espn radio is presented by progressive insurance small business protection for more than vehicles with insurance expertise to keep your company moving forward more progressive.

"That's insane. there is enough talent on that seventy sixers team across the board. There is enough talent that we should be looking at everybody saying hey do more be better. Not just joel. Embiid ben simmons eleven points. I understand the value of ben simmons on both sides of the four understand the value of embiid on both sides of the floor. But realistically if we're gonna take this pin this on one person if we're gonna pin that loss on one player i am not gonna put it on the guy. That's out there trying his best. That's obviously you can tell me if i'm wrong by the triple eight say. Espn eight eight eight seven to nine three seven seven six. We're gonna get some thoughts on all things. Nba now from the goodyear hotline where we are joined by my good friend. Freddie coleman you hear freddie all the time on freddie and fitzsimmons you see freddy. I'm i is everywhere freddie. Talk to me a little bit man. Let's start with the seventy sixers. Stephen a. says all they ever do is underachieve. And i'm having a hard time negotiating with an obviously injured in bead. That just didn't have what he needed in the tank. So where are you on philly. I'm with you in terms of that's a little heavy handed a call them underachievers because think about two years ago. They were bounced bounced bounced going through the rope away from getting eastern conference finals when he lost the toronto. Raptors coordinator hit that shot. And that's the raptors on their way to the eastern conference finals in the nba championship. So i clearly understand why people say the underachieved. But let's look at this basketball team more than ever before you're going to need to greats right now. They have a great player in joel embiid. There's no doubt about that. And they have a guy that should be a great player but he's a great playmaker when it comes to ben simmons so people can't just put that loss totally on be just because he went over the fourth quarter last night at four twenty from the field. He did twenty one rebounds but sometimes when a guy is struggling like that somebody else has to step up. That guy has to be ben simmons. So i'm not buying the whole underachieving tag. When it comes to the seventy sixers. So far and freddie we started the show by talking about what. His turned out to be a war of attrition this year in the nba playoffs. Nobody can get healthy. So when you look at the the east or the west and you start thinking about the health as part of it. How are we supposed to view this year's playoffs when so many stars have just fallen to the wayside because of injury jason. Use the patrician. Because how many times have we've seen that in previous years. Where every year like we've seen in the last couple of play runs in the nba whether it was bubble listeners. Last year not bubbalicious this year. But i go back to back into nineteen eighty. Eight season with the los angeles lakers. We're trying to make it a three. P. byron scott gets hurt in game. One magic johnson gets hurt later on in game two and they might have getting swept by the detroit pistons. So this is not the first time we've seen war of attrition. The nba playoffs. I think this is the first time jason especially in recent years. We've seen the war of attrition hitting superstar players. It seems that every team that the superstar player doesn't have that play or if you have a holy trinity like you have with the brooklyn nets now. Kevin durant has the hope that james harden is going to be right and they upgraded him from out the doubtful which means they're telling me that they don't believe the kevin durant can carry this team by himself in a game five with kyrie irving night out there so more than ever before especially when it comes the off season players are really got the manage their bodies. But let's be honest. Any injury can happen at any given time and it doesn't matter if you're team with two superstars or team with one superstar bunch of all most that are hoping to help him out and try to give them to the nba championship. We're talking to freddie coleman freddie and fitzsimmons on the max kelham show jason fitz filling in for max so freddie. You just mentioned katie. Now i'm going to ask everybody to chime in throughout the course of the show triple eight say. Espn eight seven to nine. Three seven seven six. We're going to talk about pressure in that series. Because i'm looking at katie thinking man you might be the best player in the world so came. You win a game in this series. When you don't have any your batman you don't have robin but conversely i'm looking at the bucks saying okay janas has if you can't beat this version of the nets the heck are you doing so in your mind. Who has the most pressure going into the rest of the series knowing where we are today. I think you're right because if you're not going to see james harden and kyrie irving or even if you see those guys jason they're going to be compromised as in terms of what they're gonna try to the basketball court to make this work for the brooklyn nets this may be the best opportunity out after the coors had where a week and team is on the other side and we saw. Were they able to do this week. And team in the second half in game four where they were just able to run away and hide from the brooklyn nets because they were one man gang and the rest of the of began cannot step up. So i'm with you in terms of under the current bull. But here's something in terms of what you meant about kevin durant for my money. Tonight is the most pressurized game for kevin durant since game seven of western conference finals. Back in two thousand and sixteen. When he played oklahoma city they had a three one lead in that series. And they were not able to finish the job against the golden state warriors. We're gonna find out a lot about both of these guys jaanus on one side of milwaukee. You have a wounded animal and the other side and you had the ability to take advantage of fully healthy team relatively speaking and then on the other side got kevin durant. He's never had to worry about being a leader a leading team. He's a great score. Great play make no doubt about it but now they're gonna need his leadership and can't do that have guys rally around that and take that message and go out there and to the court and win the game five that i don't think they'll be able to win if james harden and kyrie irving not out there even if they are out there they're going to be a compromise james harden and kyrie irving. Is there some spot for because you know the way you mentioned. It just makes me think about that..

"If it is about a hit. The shannon college basketball and that includes duke and everywhere else. And sheesh ask like. I don't need to stick around for this. i'm out eight eight say. Espn i mean. Whoa jr adrian. Whoa generality just keeps dropping bombs and needs to be some kind of a truce thought. There was a geneva convention to stop To stop this kind of bombing bombing civilians stop it watch. I can't keep up with all the woes bombs. Brad stevens moving into the front office on a full time role and he's going to help in the coaching search. Now look it. Seems pretty clear that that danny ainge who's an excellent gm but not the best in the league and if you a celtics fan your standards extremely high danny built them up and did a great job but great not good enough for the celtics one championship all these years and the inability to take the stock pile of resources. He has you know the process in philadelphia. Sam hinkie there's potential energy you roll a of rock a boulder to the top of a hill. Once it reaches the top of the hill. It has a lot of potential energy. And if you push it down and starts rolling downhill that's kinetic energy. It's releasing the potential energy danny ainge degrade as did hanky built up this huge war chest and then the league sabotage the sixers because they were afraid the the process was working and it would encourage copycats like teams tanking for five years in a row but the league kind of forced colangelo on the sixers disastrous choice and he turned all the kind of potential energy that hinkie built up into much less kinetic energy than there ought to have been same thing with danny built up this war chest and all all these acids and he was never quite willing to pull the trigger when he could steal it from you when he could swindle the other team he was all in if he could steal a player he do it or a draft pick do it but when the price was high he's not too expensive too much. I can't give up that much in draft picks prospects players whatever. He's he's one of these dudes. You ever traded baseball cards as a kid. There was some kids who were like. They're never going to give you a fair deal right. They're only going to deal with. They feel like they're getting over. By the way. I was a yankees fan. I experienced the same thing with brian cashman but as a yankees fan. I insist on the following. You don't have to win the world series every year. No one does that. You must win the world series more than anyone else certainly more than your rivals like when the red sox won four to the yankees won in the last in this century so far. It's like you gotta fight. Fire the gm. Because they're better than him and it's intolerable for the yankees to have the second or third or fourth. They must have the best must yankees fans insist. That's the standard celtics fans. Feel the same way about the celtics age. One getting it not. He was excellent not good enough to be honest and time for him to move on now. Brad stevens coach also excellent three out of four years in the conference finals. The guy can coach but he seemed to have lost the locker room. But the celtics think. Highly of brad stevens. So okay you lose the locker room but we like your basketball iq make gm now. The elephant in the room is that there's a lot of i. I rolling about the idea that the celtics boston new england the irish american population in the area. The celtics of course looked like the mascot. The little lucky in irish kind of folks symbol right and and celtic from ireland. Scotland white people and in the nba from that area even though they were the first to start the all black starting five the celtics with bird and michaela named last time they had a dynasty their most visible and best players were white. Guys against the lakers merican team. I think and then boston gets hung fairly or unfairly with the rap is as being racist. Or they're more even kyrie brought it up recently that the elephant in the room and stephen brought it up on the air today on. I take white guy brad. Stevens white coach loses his job as a coach. Not working in the locker room but he gets promotion in a way the gm would that have happened for an african-american coach gm. I actually. I disagreed with stephen about this i think. Yes the answer's yes saw. Thomas do that. Go back and forth between the front office in the sidelines. With an x doc. Rivers great coach underachieved with the clippers lost. His job with the clippers got hired by the sixers powerhouse team but that is the elephant in room. That's what a lot of people are thinking right now. On the goodyear hotline john ireland.
