"Take the veneer off a lot of a lot of put on a pedestal. That's why they have that 8% approval. I don't know if they're on the I don't know if it's, I mean, I don't know. And people always say about Babe Ruth, that everyone would, if there were cameras around Babe Ruth, back then, Mickey Mantle. We love them the same. What would you do? Back and forth. Here's the thing. There's no stopping it. Number one, wouldn't you rather watch it without someone on this network? Yes. Versus I was watching it was like, oh my God, this is a pleasure. I actually started doing that with some sporting events because I can't take the nonstop. Shut up. Who is controlling these cameras? Because it's the House government. So that's how that's how they're going to get these cameras. They're men and women from. Start of every Congress fan takes control. That's a great idea. As rules passes and they always pass. We're taking that away. But so but who are those? Did they hire freelance camera people? And by the way, where's that budget? Come from? That would be a great experiment. Or not Emma sir. CNN has one camera and you watch their feed and then Fox News versus I'll bet you they'd be a 180°. The biggest one you could do it that way instead of talking acting for the cameras. I didn't mean that. I meant CNN. Stephanie McMahon has now resigned as the chair and co CEO of world wrestling entertainment after her father, Vince McMahon, was unanimously reelected as the company's executive chairman. She had returned from a leave of absence in July to take over as co CEO after her father retired amid allegations of sexual misconduct. WWE's board ultimately found that payments to women who accused Vince McMahon of sexual misconduct should have been booked as WWE expenses because they benefited the company. Vince McMahon said he was returning to facilitate a potential sale of the company. Saw that in the rundown wrestling update, something you don't see every day in our school. Now, but this is like a family wrestling update now. The true family wrestle, right? And the fact that the daughter is out and he's in and what does it really mean? Do they talk to each other? What happens to things? The story was, well, of course, the harassment payoff should have been booked as expected. I mean, what kind of accountant do you have here? I mean, it just was. That was jarring. That's the most. It's strange. The benefit of the company. And as a result, you saw the stock. It was right that all this morning. I've just seen the family dynamics. I'm just thinking that your kids still think it's real. I don't want to ruin it for anyone. It's okay. I'm not going to say it. I'm not going to. They are talented. I guess it's all choreographed and everything, but you have some big names who have come out. You've got The Rock. You got Mickey Rourke in that movie. Did you see that movie? That was a great one. Of course. That was a great movie. A fabulous movie coming out about wrestling with Zach looks so ripped, it's Efron. Zac Efron. It's people. Yeah, that's right. I saw a picture of him. How come I try? Nothing happens. Nothing like that. Although. Joe, we sit in a chair for three hours. I know our job. No, I have seen in the gym. You know what? I could fit right into this role. When people get really fat. Yeah. I think give me a couple months. The whale? Yeah. Give me a couple of months. Wait. There are the actors who take on that role and who will put on like 67 pounds. And they're active. Do you remember Matthew McConaughey? That's amazing what they do. We're live at the NASDAQ market site in Times Square mantra Sorkin along with Becky quick and Joe kernan. We're going to talk a little New Hampshire. And maybe the rest of the country as well. Now for a look at the state of the economy, the battle against inflation at the state level and much more want to welcome governor. Chris sununu of New Hampshire, who has recently inaugurated for a record fourth term as governor, and you tease Joseph. Are you going to ask him the big question? Was that there were some moves that seemed to indicate that you might have an interest in higher office? And running for president? Yes. No, people are talking about it and we're having conversations, but the royal week. We might be in my opinion. Because we just talked about it. So that means we. America wants somebody that can get something done, a good bipartisan ticket. I'm thinking sununu Sorkin, 24. Right? If you want to go far rate far right far left, saving billions with billions. That's right there. That's a good the whole portfolio covered. Or we do the two MIT guys, right? We do MIT. Well, you're like a biology. Molecular biology from MIT. What did I tell you? If I was going to do it, what did I tell you? You want money? No. That goes without saying, obviously. My son's not quite old enough to really get into those lucrative businesses. But. I want to be vice president. Tell me to do the border. I'm like, well, you know, there are underlying you don't have to do anything for the current administration. I can tell you vice president Pence did a lot of work. He is president. He pulled a lot of successes over the line. Let me ask you a question. Let's talk economy. Yeah. State of New Hampshire. But if you could broaden it out in terms of I'm actually very curious, what you think you would do in the larger country about what's going on in our economy right now, given the inflation story. Well, look, I'm going to give you the tax piece of it. Yeah, so look, I'm a fiscal hawk, right? And I do believe that whether you're talking about inflation where you're talking about good government, the responsibility of spending other people's money, folks in Washington don't seem to have a good grasp of that. You got to absolute start controlling spending. What we saw with this latest $1.7 trillion bill is a boondoggle, all those earmarks. It's just political graft, right? To get a base bill passed. And I think you got to stop all that. The inflation reduction act and you can call the inflation causation act, whatever you want to, whatever label you want to hit. There's just so much money out there. Now, obviously, you see the quantitative tightening happening and the things that have to happen to bring it back in. But get stuff done. And leadership can do that. Even out of The White House, they can drive success in Congress. Get them. Do the IRS side of things. So you want to cut spending, but no Republicans want to raise any. Devil's advocate. Thank you. Obviously. So you're going to close some of the loopholes higher some agents because the IRS has been, I can't even say it. I don't think. But let me try. The IRS has been underfunded for years. All these millionaires are not paying their taxes. Why not, why are the Republicans dead set against having? You don't need more IRS. Trust is trust. Trust but simplify the tax code. But that's not going to happen. But you also have lots of people who have gotten caught up with trouble who are just average Americans who can't get somebody at the IRS to call them back. You've got the FAA shut down today because we have not put enough funding into putting these very important systems to make sure the planes can stay in the air. There are certain things the government needs. So when the let's look at the infrastructure act that came up, the trillions that went out, that's exactly where, if you're going to put money and put it in systems, invest in long-term systems in a modern technology and in a modern business economy that doesn't require all the workers. But would you be prepared to invest in the IRS, the systems behind the IRS? Well, first you start by massively simplifying the tax code. Everybody wants that. Every American wants that, even businesses want that. And I know the lawyers in the IRA area are agents don't like that. But if you simplify that tax code, you don't need to do that. And the governor, let's just talk about that. Simplifying the tax code seems great. We've never been able to get to that point. And by the way, the reason we can't is there are so many special interests that are caught up in it. You have real estate that gets caught up. You have charitable donations that get caught up. Do you say no to all those things? And if we wait to invest in the systems until after that happens, it's like waiting for godot. You sound like I have to be honest. You sound like all those senators that when they were trying to convince me to run for the U.S. Senate and I said, why can't we do this? Why can't we do this? It was excuse after excuse after excuse, are there special interests? Yes. Does that mean you can't get something done? Of course. I have a special interest in New Hampshire, and we get everything done. I'd be with you. If you could cut out every single special interest, I'd be totally. Everybody has their own. You give a little bit a lot. It's called negotiation. So what are you giving? What? What are you giving? What do they want? I mean, really, you can give a little to get a lot. It's just like I deal with at the state level as governor. I have special interests that want this that want this, but I still got school choice done. I still got the most innovative paid family leave program done. We're still the most fiscal. I don't mind the chips spending. I think it had a lot of other stuff in it. But I would have voted for the children. The complicated part is, okay, so the real estate industry, ten 31. Exchanges. Do you get rid of that? What do you do at death? A state tax. You don't need a state tax. You don't need to stay. I'm living proof of it. You had carried interest is going to get taken. Then a Democrat. Yeah. Mess that up. You can't even Democrats. Let's just look at the New Hampshire. I have no sales tax. I have no income tax. I just got rid of my interest in dividends tax. I have no estate tax. I have no death tax. And we have the most efficient government in the country. So I'm just going to tell you, we are a great model for how to do it. You bring a lot of the decision making local. We've gotten too used to the federal government making all the decisions up here. Let's states decide, let localities decide and create a much efficient New Hampshire is a unique state insofar as its size. No, no. Insofar as its size, its per CAPiTA, the number of if I told you to do what you're doing in New Hampshire to this city. It would be much harder. You don't think, I mean, of course it would be harder, but it's possible. So yes, I'm asking folks to take a bigger leap to work a little harder to create more efficient systems and get out of their traditional thinking. Because if we just keep thinking the same way, we're just going to keep having the same discussion of national special one data point at you. Minimum wage. I got the lowest minimum wage in the country, yet I'm ranked as some of the highest per CAPiTA income. So explain that. Because I have the lowest poverty rate in the country, by far. My poverty rate is 20% lower than the next closest state. Because we get government out of the way. We let businesses do what they want to do. We let a free market ensue and wages. It would be better if no one was on the mission. I appreciate that. But your minimum wage remains, if I see it right, tied to the federal rate, which is stuck still at $7 and 25 cents. You're saying that's good? Yes. Look, what's the issue of minimum wage you want to you're dealing with poverty. But I have the lowest poverty rate in the country by far. So this idea that if you raise minimum wage, you're going to help people out of poverty is a complete fallacy. And I'm living proof. And so you think, for example, but more broadly around the rest of the country, you would not then raise the minimum wage. No, you states decide. States can figure that out, but I'm telling you, if you let a free market rain, virtually nobody in New Hampshire makes minimum wage. Everybody makes much more because businesses want to be there. Everyone's fighting for the workers. Wages naturally go up. And they're sustainable. I mean, we're the only state in New England that is actually growing in population. We have the far and away the strongest. I can probably get you a degree that. The model's there. Wage price controls are like the worst idea. By the way, that's a wage control. I don't disagree with you. Okay, so how can we acknowledge that wage price controls don't work, but we can't seem to understand it because it makes you feel virtuous. It's very political. It really is. So look, I'm not saying it's an overnight fix for a lot of these other states and localities, but there is a model for the rest of the country to start looking at. And the key to all of your first question is you get a lot of the decision making out of the federal government. We turn it back to states or cities or towns or school boards. My job as governor is to know the limits of my power. And that means allowing localities in schools and parents to make most of the decisions at their level. How old are you? 48. Thank you for reminding me. No. What is that about? Because we've got to pass the baton, no more boomers. No more boomer presidents. Well, we got to pass the baton. I'm not going to I'm not going to say no to that, but I'm going to tell you, I do think as a Republican, my party is missing a huge opportunity to speak to the next generation. And I spent a lot of time doing that across the country. We tend to talk in this echo chamber politically. But we need to reach beyond that to influence others to join the team. We've got a great team on the Republican side. And so I want to get out there and say, hey look, look at all these opportunities we're creating. Not because government says so. I'm building the government and I'll tell you it ain't about me. It ain't about us. It's about you as an individual. And young people want to be empowered by that. But we're missing the opportunity to sell that message. How do you like governor desantis? Ron's good. We're very different in our styles, right? I think he handled hurricane incredibly well. And I give him a lot of time. How about COVID? We were very similar in COVID. Look, we were ranked by Cato institute that most free state in COVID, the most personal freedoms and also one of the safest states. He's number two. I remind him of that all the time. We were number one. So it's not about ignoring the pandemic. We didn't do that. It relates to all of this. And I think relates to business, which is that one of the things we've seen over the last year. Let me go backwards. For many years, a lot of blue states use their treasuries, politically, to influence business. And red states historically said, that's terrible. We can't do that. We would never do that because we're supporters of the free market. In the last year, what you've seen is actually a bit of a shift on that, a reversal. Arguing against sort of an anti woke approach to what some people have seen in this business is going too far. Do you agree? No. You've hit it right on the head. I do not believe in big government authoritarianism, whether you're a Republican or a Democrat. And you're absolutely right, we see it on both sides of the aisle. I disagree without a private business does. But I'm the government. I'm not going to tell a private business how to run themselves or what they want out of their employees or any of that. I might agree with what a school does. But in New Hampshire, at least, the parents already have all the say, we talk about parents matter, which is a very important thing that governor youngkin, who's a great governor, brought forth. We've been doing it for 200 years. Parents, localities, they always have had the first decision in terms of the quality of education what's happening in schools. It's not about what I want. It's about the freedoms I'm giving. And that's what I think where we miss it sometimes is Republicans. Governor. What do you say? 24? You in? We might have to do this. We might have to do this. It would be fun. I will tell you that. Whatever happens, I always make sure it's fun. What do you think about this ticket? You're worried. You guys are going to have to battle it out for the VP. It sounds like. You know what? It's meaningless. Really? You or me? I mean, right? Does it matter? Governor, thank you. Thank you for coming. There's been a lot of fun. Thank you guys. Thank you. Much better because I can respond to the witty banter. That delay is that remote delays. We got to get up there and get some maple syrup before. Tell me about the taxes again. No what? We have no sales tax. We have no income tax. I just got rid of an interest in dividends tax. We have no inheritance tax. We have none of that. Yet, we are ranked as the most efficient government in the country. Cheese will be next. Coming up on squawk pod, layoffs, layoffs everywhere, Silicon Valley, and Wall Street are trimming their workers, and employee consultant Jason Greer says the haircuts are only just the beginning. What we're seeing overall is a basic market recalibration where employers are saying we hired a bunch of people during COVID, we're laying people off. Now we're trying to see what's going to happen in the event. There's a recession. We'll be right back. It takes a lot of ingredients to fix or build a car. Like cooking, but without the frozen dinner, easy way out. eBay motors has a 122 million parts. It's always the right fitness. Let's ride. You're listening to squawk pod. Here's Becky quick. This is Becky's Mike straight up on Becky. The corporate downsizing that started in 2022 is continuing into this year. Coinbase, Amazon and Salesforce, adding their names to the list of tech companies laying off workers. On Wall Street, Goldman Sachs has reportedly started cutting about 3200 jobs. McDonald's is likely planning layoffs as well and stitch fix recently announced its plans to shrink its workforce. Joining us right now to talk about what this means for the labor market and wage inflation is Jason Greer. He is the founder and president of Greer consulting and Jason, what started as a Silicon Valley trend has definitely spread across the country. What are you seeing right now? I'm seeing layoffs, I'm seeing the impact that this is especially having on white collar workers has been tremendous. You see the fact that job ads are way down for white collar workers. But on the other side, you see companies that are basically hoarding blue collar workers because they're wondering if there's going to be a surge in the economy and if there is, how are we going to be prepared for it? I think what we're seeing overall is a basic market recalibration where employers are saying we hired a bunch of people during COVID, we're laying people off. Now we're trying to see what's going to happen and the event there's a recession. What does that mean from the overall wage inflation perspective? Is this a situation where it's terrible news if you're the one who gets laid off? Does this mean that the fed is going to be getting towards its goal of tamping down inflation? Yeah, I think so. I think the fed's definitely trying to meet their goal in terms of inflation and I think it also means from the perspective of the employees are being laid off or the employees were scared about being laid off is the fact that it's coming. As tech sector goes, so it goes the rest of the markets and when tech starts laying off when bank starts laying off, you're going to start to see that ripple effect in other industries. The difference between the white collar and the blue collar workers is pretty interesting. You think that tremendous will continue that this is a situation where white collar workers were hired in bigger numbers. They were looking for more growth, but when the growth goes away, that's when those jobs go away too. Definitely, white color workers were hired in bulk, but at the same time, when you compare a white collar worker to a blue collar worker, you're really talking about salaries, you talk about bonuses, benefits and those kinds of things. From the perspective of employers, look, COVID taught employers a lot, just as it taught employees a lot in terms of what they can get from the market. It also taught employers in terms of what they can get from the employees. And from they basic standpoint of a CEO or executive, will literally say, if I have 5 white color employees and I'm paying them X amount of money, but I realize I can get the same amount of work from three as opposed to 5. Let's go ahead and downsize those two. Let's go ahead and reallocate that to possibly hiring more employees, getting more resources for our departments, whatever the case might be. So I think what we unfortunately see for white collar employees is that for the first time in a long time, they find that they are actually targets of a layoff and it looks like it's not going to stop. Blue collar workers, do they still have a little bit of umph when it comes to the negotiation table? Can they get more benefits? Can they get higher wages as a result of these companies making sure that they keep them around? Absolutely. They can get a little bit of a bump. Listen, we're not talking about 30, $50,000 bump. We're talking about incremental changes incremental monies from the standpoint that employers understand that if there's a boon in the economy and then the economy, we need those employees in order to be in order to be able to fulfill the orders. I want to think on the other side of the fact is that there is not as many people returning to the labor market as we saw pre COVID. And that case we need these blue collar employees so that they can continue to drive our industry. Jason, what does this mean? Just the broader trend of this work from home, the flexibility that white collar workers have been. If that's where the layoffs are focused, just this week you had bob Iger of Disney saying he wants his employees in the office at least four days a week and some people looked at them and said, well, you know, that's pretty strict. If this is a situation where that's where the job cuts are going to be, is this a situation where 5 days a week is going to be the norm? Absolutely. Listen, here's what I tell people, whether you're remote, whether you're hybrid, the fact of the matter is that the market is moving back to how it was pre COVID. When you have bob Iger who comes out and says that we want to move to four days a week. Part of the reason why he's doing that, there's a psychological play, because he understands that four days sounds a heck of a lot better than 5 days. But four days is basically let's put our foot in the water. Let's feel how the water goes. Let's give people used to coming back working through traffic, getting their latte from Starbucks is they go into the office. And then 6 months from now, a year from now, you're going to see it go back to 5 days. Exactly. Jason, thank you. Hey, thank you so much. That's pleasure. And the great line and

"120 countries, I'm Michael Barr and this is Bloomberg, Nathan. All right, Michael, thank you. It is 5 42 on Wall Street. I'm Nathan Hager alongside Karen Moscow taking a look at some of the other stories making news this morning. We're watching shares of the WWE, they're up nearly 7% this morning. That's after co CEO Stephanie McMahon resigned from the company. Her exit comes as her father Vince McMahon returns to the firm to explore strategic options, including a possible sale. All right, Nathan, well, the housing market is in focus this morning as well. Less than 90 minutes from now, we're going to get weekly data on U.S. mortgages. Federal Reserve tightening has been choking the mortgage industry in recent months, and we get more now with Bloomberg Schmidt. The prior weekly data showed mortgage rates rose to a 6 week high resulting in a sharp decline in loan applications. The mortgage bankers association reports the contract trade and a 30 year fixed mortgage increased to 6.58% in the closing week of 2022. It broke the 7% mark in November. They needed Bloomberg daybreak. All right, Vinnie, thanks. Wells Fargo has announced a new strategic direction for its mortgage empire. Welles was once the largest mortgage business in the banking sector, now the firm will stop funding home loans arranged by outsiders and shrink the portfolio of debts its services that caps years of efforts to clean up a business that entangled Wells Fargo and regulatory probes and lawsuits. Well, Nathan Jamie Dimon is weighing in on fed policy, the JPMorgan CEO says the Central Bank may need to tighten policy even further than expected. He told Fox business, that's because the fed was slow to start tackling inflation. We were a little slow getting going. It caught up, I don't think there's any harm done by Wayne three to 6 months to see what the full effect of this is around the world. And the reduction of wages, et cetera. So it is a wise thing to do. I'm on the side where it may not be enough. And at the same time, JPMorgan, CEO Jamie Dimon, said he isn't favor of a pause from the fed in order to see the full impact of last year's rate increases. Well, let's get a check on this market. Now we're joined live by Ross Mayfield investment strategy analyst at Baird. Ross, it's great to have you back with us this morning with all eyes still on the fed. What's your outlook for where policy could be headed into the rest of this year? Well, I think where it could be headed is exactly where they tell us it'll be headed at least in the near term. They weren't rates above 5% before they think about a pause. And then the bigger question is, are they able to keep them above 5% through the entirety of the year, which is what they've forecast. I think they'll have a lot of trouble doing that in the back half of the year is the economy really starts to slow. And as inflation is probably sub 5%, maybe sub 4%. And the political pressure on them starts to ramp up as job loss amounts. Personally, I think they should be thinking about a pause here. Their policy acts with a lag. They're the first to tell people that. And I think we need to see a larger amount of what the effect of what they're doing is before they continue much higher. We're already seeing inflation heading in the right direction. I'm sure you heard the comment from Jeffrey gunlock over a double line saying that the market should be looking at the bond market rather than the fed. That's who they should be listening to when it comes to rate policy is he right. You know, neither had the best track record of forward predictions. But I do think the fed part of their policy prescription is guidance and jaw boning inflation, even if maybe in the back of their mind, they're thinking about doing something different down the road. So I do think if you want a better idea of what's going to happen at particularly in the second half of next year, you could look to the bond market fed fund futures and see that the market is expecting a cut or two at this point and the fed is telling us that they very much will not be doing that. I think you can probably lean on the market a little bit because the fed gains nothing from telling folks that that's going to happen. So are you saying that there's a risk that the fed could be over tightening? I think the risk certainly skews to that side at this point, yes. I think we need to see a larger effect of what this has done. We're already seeing M two money supply crashing. You're seeing the housing market probably in recession. And you're starting to see signs that the broader economy is slowing. We're passed what they would view as a neutral rate probably. And I think we need to see what the effect of this policy is before tightening further. We're not going to get that, but I do hope that they decelerate pretty meaningfully through the first quarter this year. What kind of effect from policy are you expecting we're going to see when we get the consumer price index out tomorrow? You know, I think the consumer price index data will be pretty positive. The question is just how much does headline CPI matter to the fed at this point? Pretty much described that their laser focus on wages and is still imbalanced labor market in their opinion. I think they're concerned about a wage price spiral. And so I think to the extent that we get some insight into earnings tomorrow, that will be that will be insightful, but I do think going forward, job market data is more important than headline CPI data to the extent that headline CPI data is still heading in the right direction and given what energy prices are doing with food prices are doing. And what kind of the broader goods inflation complex is doing, all of which is heading downward. I think those still focus on the job market quite a bit more. So should be good news tomorrow, but I'm not sure how much of a difference it will make to the fed. We are going to get a lot more insight into earnings starting later this week when the big banks report, are you expecting that we're going to see even further pressure on earnings given the policy environment I think so. I think the fourth quarter is where you'll really start to see the effects of higher inflation, the effects

Another strong rally today in Asian equities. Earlier U.S. shares rose, investors appear to be betting that there will be no negative surprise in Thursday's CPI report. If the data confirms an easing of inflation, it helps make the case that the fed could slow down its rate hikes, no signs of that yet. JPMorgan CEO Jamie Dimon told Fox, the rate hikes might need to go higher, he mentioned even 6%, but that he was in favor of a pause to see the impact of last year's hikes. Double lines Jeff gunlock said that investors should look at what the market says over what the fed says. In corporate news apple is planning to start using its own custom displays and mobile devices as early as next year. So what does that mean for Apple and its current suppliers such as LG and Samsung? I spoke earlier with Vlad sav Bloomberg tech editor. The ozone go again long-term is take that scale it up to an iPhone and iPad, et cetera, et cetera and eventually Apple wants to be fully integrated both horizontally and vertically and really the most interesting thing right now for us to ponder and find out in the near future hopefully is who's going to do the subcontracting and the manufacturing because yes, it's going to be an iPhone an Apple design but who's going to do the manufacturing is the thing that might drive the shares of whoever gets that business. And that's a very interesting point. Yeah, and to your initial point that Samsung is a very big company, LG display, not so big and its stock is getting hammered today down about 3.4%. So let's talk a little bit about some of those companies. Do we know some of the companies that might benefit eventually with some of these changes at Apple? I'm just going to say no. We can guess. I mean, the re Samsung display, there is OG display. There is BOE out of China. These are companies that already have relationships with Apple. And it could ultimately end up being the case that Apple just contracts out of that business to Samsung. I'm not rooting any of that out, but we don't know. At this stage. Bloomberg check editor of Vlad savlov. Well, the China securities journal says that there's still room for China to further cut banks reserve requirement ratios. And the piece also says that interest rates could be cut in 2023. This is in a front page report. "Stephanie McMahon and Triple H and take their top fours and we release those. So we're working on that. We have Dan Harmon's animated show that bento box producing for Fox called crap. It's an ancient Greece show hysterical. We had teased at a Comic-Con a few weeks ago. We had 2200 people in a ballroom and we screened a clip and played great. So we're dropping on August 11th. I'm not sure when this will air, but maybe dropped 10,420 unique chickens because chickens are a form of currency before there was money in Greece. And so we'll have attributes on the show. And so like I said, if you own one of those, they'll give you token gated access to video screening room of episodes and material token gated access to emerge store. And then as the show progresses, we're going to drop other series of different characters. We're going to also sell tokens so you can limit the number of people who have their background character. And if you have a token, you can vote. And then it's not going to be, oh, what's the episode about, but you might be able to say, oh, you know, do you want this character or this outfit or that outfit? Or do you want this character to hit this person over the head with a fish or a bat or nothing? So kind of fun stuff like that. We're very excited about that. And that's going to be on Ethereum. And the token gated access alluvial for the video. The Masked Singer was our first project was the number one show on television. That was really, we're coming back this fall with it in more integrated to the show. And that was started with collectible cards. They had collected together to get utility. This season would have more token gated video in premium content as well. And we're in integrating with, again, the show really educating educating mainstream audiences. And then we work closely with Fox Sports to launch spring football the USFL last ring and that was an innovative product where we had tokens for each team. And then the most innovative thing that Eric shanks the CEO of Fox Sports and who founded the USFL worked with melody in our team. We created player tokens and really the players are creators. And athletes create a really interesting.

The Corner

"I don't think it's easy to get the hell out of here. Everyone. And it sucks. Tripp's is gone. She might bring shame back. Well, she might say they come back. Regardless. Listen, I've never seen enough with this family. You never say never miss any come back. A nephew could come, I don't know. I don't know, but she would do whatever it takes to keep this. And that direct bloodline. But that's what I'm saying. A mother. Like, her mom you married into this chill. Wow, no, our direct bloodline. We keeping it here. She don't care. And trips ain't in that direct bloodline. You espouse, my man. You are disposable. So I'm going to ask the same question to you. I'm a sit with this. I don't think Stephanie is a self preservation. I think Stephanie's daddy's girl. And the company will, in some, if push came to serve, she's going to choose her father over a hundred. Yeah. Yeah. And I think here's where you're right, is that I think as much as we love Triple H and everybody loves Triple H if Stephanie, I don't know Stephanie sees that vision. You got to remember, Stephanie ran SmackDown. Stephanie ran creative. I don't know if she sees things the way the Triple H sees things. Maybe she does. But if daddy calls, it's like Steph, what are you doing? What are you doing to my company? I don't know if she's going to buck that. I think that is a very interesting power struggle. Between each other. Your wife and your father. Because if it wasn't for dad, they'd be no WWE. Now, you also have to think now you might be a little see now crazy. Maybe he's not running the business, right? But that promo that started SmackDown. It felt gross to me because it was like, dude, he's paying women off the sexually harassed. Yeah. But it also signals like, well, that's always going to be days, little girl. Like, I hate to say this, but if your daughter went out there and murdered somebody, she's still your kid. Yeah. Got it. Right? You still love your daughter. Yeah. You don't love that other person. It's like, oh, she shouldn't have done that, but that's my girl. So, Cole, is Stephanie? I mean, is Triple H, is Stephanie a Triple H person or a Vince person? This is some godfather shit going on. In here. You're watching a lot of success. It is Succession. It's such a, it's such a loaded question. I mean, I think I run into the same boat that you do, Cal. I think Stephanie has, at this point, she's done enough in her career in WWE that she's kind of become her own entity. And she really is truly a blend of both. I truly believe that where I think she wouldn't be back here doing this and Triple H being put ahead of creative. That's a Stephanie McMahon decision as well. Like Nick con and Stephanie McMahon are making that call. Because they could have, they could have picked anyone else, right? They could have gone Bruce stay. They could have gone, Sean. Take your NXT thing and come up here. God, God forbid. Paul Heyman, right, yeah. There's plenty of people, but they put trips in charge. And I think there's a lot of, there's a lot of reports now coming and this is going to be prepare yourself for the next several weeks. It's just going to be all reports of all the dust that's been piling up on Vince McMahon behind the scenes. Because already, we're getting, you know, again, SRS, pray for that man, a man's been the busiest man's phone's probably never stopped beeping since this news has happened. But, you know, they, they were reporting that they had to adjust their notes for whatever Vince was telling them, like creatively. And be like, you had to be able to speak the Vince language and filter him. Was the word filter. So they know the mental state and the state of mind in general of Vince McMahon and knew that I think everybody's been waiting for this moment to happen. But they also can't say no to them, right? He had to do this himself. Again, right? Like, this is an investigation that's been going on. Why did it happen sooner? Why didn't it leak out sooner, you know? Like if someone wanted to take him down earlier, I'm sure someone could have tried for it. I mean, that's Succession. Again, right? Timing? Timing. Timing is everything and we're not going to get the full picture until way further down the road. But I think in the essence of where WWE is going, Stephanie McMahon is a follow back Triple H, Triple H guy. And I think it's important here to take into account here that this is just, as far as, obviously, it's Paul who's leading creative. Yeah. He is now behind the camera. He's obviously he had the hard issue. He's probably not going to be an on camera. Character. At least for the foreseeable future, maybe in a year that changes. I mean, he'll show up. He'll show up, but it'll be like, but it'll be like kind of what he did WrestleMania. They brought him out there. He did the little water spit and was like, you know, like we are. Yeah, WWE. Yeah, exactly. He'll do, he'll do the coach speak, right? But for the character of hunter Hearst Helmsley, this is fucking poetic. It really is.

"20 years. Why? Why, Sean with that hair? My God. Yeah. It's so bad. It only grows in the back. And he grows it out. And fix your eyes. I mean, it's cold and eye doctor. Yeah. You have successes. You have the Saudi money now. Sunglasses. Right. We got stone cold promoting his beer. He made it all about himself. He did. I love stone cold. Fucking in the whole thing. He's like, if he liked John Cena, give me a hell yeah. Oh hell yes, don't go beer hell yeah. Steve Austin bear, he put it right in the camera. Yeah. Great my bear, by taking my bear congratulations, Cena, but take my bear. We also had Triple H, Stephanie McMahon, Kurt Angle, Randy Orton, JBL, Trish stratus, Booker T, Chris Jericho. Chris Jericho, huh? Where's he been? Were these recorded years ago? Right. All right, well, if you're leaving in three weeks, your contract's up, we need you to record these promos for when John Cena hits 20 years. No, seriously, this was weird. It was. It was. I get Jericho, he's such a cross, you know, company guy, right? Like he'll be back in WWE. He was on stone cold podcast. We also had the big show. I mean, who are you? He looked like small white to me. I know. No more BS, Paul white. Again, a guy who like, it's not a big deal that he laughed. But the next one is interesting. And then the Daniel Bryan. Who are you? Right. Daniel Bryan. He looks a lot like Brian Daniel C does. Yeah, they have a lot of crazy. A lot of similarities there. Interesting. Yeah. Yeah, it's just, it is interesting because like, how does WWE benefit from that? So this was the real forbidden door. It was this old, don't get me started. I already tried to I'm already trying to forget about that dumpster fire of pay per view. I can see it helping both were WWE is being like, yeah, these are the guys, your best guys are our guys. And of course, AW is like, this is amazing. Moving on, we have montez Ford versus Jey Uso and backstage before the match John Cena pumped up the street profits because they were afraid of The Usos. Yeah, what is that? They're like going no the nose with them on the SmackDown. You beat them every week until the titles are on the line. And now you're afraid. So Ford beats Jay with the frog splash, which means which means he gets to choose the stipulation for the tag title match at money in the bank. You know what he should choose? He should choose a one on one match, a rematch. For the tag team title. Correct. You'll have a chance. So we're waiting. We're waiting, and he doesn't announce the stipulation. That's a heel move. Creative hasn't thought of it. They don't know yet. Correct. It'll be a tables match. Right. And by the way, we should have put that in this. We could still put that in the scorecards, but I call tables. Well, I'm going to say tables. I'm going to say tables. All right. Cross it out. All right, next up we go backstage and we got Finn Balor and Damien priest confronting the mysterios. Oh, where the hell have you been? Yeah, basically. Both of them. Balor tells Rey, you're so talented, and accomplished. Why aren't you teaching that to Dominic? Maybe he has a bad father. And Reagan gets upset, but Dominic holds him back and then Balor and priest walk away laughing. They're so evil. I know. Weren't they trying to recruit them at first? Not ray. They're trying to recruit Dominic, which makes no sense because Balor said red, you're so great. You're awesome. We've done all this, but Dominic, you suck dick. We want you. And he won't dominate. Yeah, right. So Judgment Day are now children who hate their parents. That's what they're doing. They don't like father figures. They are dead. So tag team match next week or not because Vince will change his senile mind correct. Whatever. Next up, Kevin Patrick interviews The Miz in the ring, don't even. Patrick told them is that Logan Paul is training and preparing to return to the ring. Good. He was very good. And miss says, oh yeah, we're gonna team up again at SummerSlam. That's so we already know of two celebrity matches at SummerSlam. Uh huh. At least Logan Paul and McAfee are good, though. So this means that we'll see Miz versus, of course. He's like, oh, we're going to continue our winning ways, just like when we beat the mysterios and Patrick reminds me is that he gave Logan Paul, the skull crushing finale at WrestleMania. But Miz says that was a teaching moment, and me and Logan Paul are on the same page. We're cool, and then Miz starts talking shit about A.J. Styles and Kevin Patrick mentions misses tiny balls. Miss is so such a loser now that Kevin Patrick is getting one over on him. Right. He's like, well, you know, styles did mention your tiny balls. He's like, don't. Fuck you. And he's like, well, I do think they're tiny. And you can join the tiny ball club. Remember when a Kevin Kelly and Michael Cole used to clap back at The Rock? Yeah. Yeah, neither do I. Yeah, right. But yeah, one day Kevin Patrick is going to interview him Balor. We're not going to know who's talking and going to be great. Yeah, so then salz comes out. He knocks Miz down with a single punch and then we have Miz versus styles. Oh, okay. I bet this is a long, great match. They went for a while. Styles set up for the phenomenal forearm, but just rolled out of the ring. And took a count out. Fucking walked away. Yeah, that's it. Wonderful. Backstage, John Cena meets Ezekiel. Yeah. And he's staring at him. He's like, you remind me of somebody. Someone I fucking sandbagged multiple times. He's ever WrestleMania. At SummerSlam, raw after manually. Literally multiple WrestleManias. Yes. Two in a row. So Zeke introduces himself and Cena aso is Elias here and he's like, yes, but he's showing our other brother elrod around. So that's a fucking thing now. Kevin Owens was making a joke. Now there's a third one. That's obviously going to look identical. They'll just put a wig. And I can't believe that there are triplets. Yeah, okay. Because for sure. Yeah, Joe. Really? How many fucking dog? I got $4 right here. I'll start bringing I'll pull out my wallet. I'll give you a 20. How much do you want to fucking lose? $20 for each brother. Elrod is clearly fake, but the other person. Are real. Then there's going to be a sister. It's going to be Santino marella. Yeah. It'll just be Lashley in a wig. Remember when I did this? So Zika tells Sena, I want the whole world to hear Zeke speak and Cena tells her, no, that's great, man. Just, you know, never forget who you really are..

"Sean was like, I literally, I got a promotion one day with bloom and canyon. And I'm in their office and he was like, because I'm not afraid to like, I'm not afraid to let you know something's bothering me, especially if it's justified. And especially if I know I can deliver on it. I'm like, I'm gonna let you know, I'm like, no. Wait, it should be, though, right? Right. You should be able to talk and say what's bothering you. Right. Yeah. Now there's a difference between bitching and whining about it. Having a conversation saying, I don't understand. Yes. Like being an adult. Going with profession, given the proper respects to people on military, I understand that. Right, exactly. I understand chain of command, but I'm going to still be like, hey, I want to be put with this and this and that. Like, thank you for the promotion and the financial side of this. But I also want that to match what I'm doing on television. I don't want to just be paid to be here. Right. No, I want to be paid to perform here. And he's like, well, Sean Michaels office is right there. I was like, okay, bye. Went to Sean. I was like, hey, can I have some time with you on Tuesday whenever you have time? He's like, sure, send him a couple matches. He actually liked me and Darby. He like me and Darby from indie show and me and riddle from indie show. And he was like, this is where we need to be with you. I'm like, you think. Yeah. He was like texting me while they were in the meeting, saying like, hey, this is what they want to see next show, whatever. This is what they're saying about you. Next match or whatever. So that's great. So I'm like, that's it. Got it. Next match me and Jonah went to segs 12 minutes, beat the crab out of each other. He was like, that's what I wanted to see. That's what the fuck talking about. Someone like smacking me on the ass like that would go. Now you're in there. Now you're in there. And then we did the takeover stand and deliver with the gauntlet match. I started first, went 25, lasted to the end with me and Jonah, but Jonah over. Who was Jonah's name there? A Bronson Reed, Bronson Reed driver. Yeah, yeah. The big splash, Stephanie McMahon comes to the back and was like, you are like my favorite heel on this show. Nice. Like literally she said, I'm her favorite. I was like, well, trips, you hear that? I just love proven. That's kind of what drives me all the time. Why I always feel like I gotta do more because I feel like people don't see the potential that I see. And they shouldn't, because it's my vision. Right. It's mine. And I see so much and it's like frustrating when somebody else doesn't see an inkling of it. So I always gotta just be like, oh, I'm gonna show out. I'm gonna show out. I'm gonna show out. I'm gonna prove you that I'm gonna prove why you're missing out on this. I'm gonna prove you, I always wanna do that. And that's just an emotion I always have. I remember the first match that you had here, we talked about it and there were some things that I didn't really like. But the cool thing about it is and this is what I instantly like, I like this guy, is you came back with check out this match or you sent me another map that you had or here's my thought about it. And sometimes I don't know everything. I'm just telling you my opinion. That's one of my jobs here. For this perspective and that's the straight, right? This was good. I didn't see this. I didn't like it or didn't care for it. But then you came back and said, well, what about that? And I was like, wow, that's really cool. And then you did something the next week that we talked about that was really getting the groove, you know, and I was like, this guy cares. And a lot of our guys here do. But a lot of guys in the business, if you tell them something they just don't listen. You know what I mean? And that to me is always like one and done for me. I'll give you my perspective. That's 32 years on the job. Kind of knowing what's up. Here's my opinion. If you want to take it, take it. And the guys that take it, I always like spend a little more extra time. Absolutely. You know, it sounds like Sean was probably the same. And the guys that you're talking about, because they know that you care. If you don't like this, how about that? If you want me to change this, then how about I do this? That's what I always did too. And that's how you get respect from people who go, I want to help this guy even more, 'cause you do need help. Yeah. You don't know the answers yourself. I would never say I made it this far because I did it all on my own. No. I've had help through I have two little girls. The mothers that take care of them, I always make sure they're set because without them and their support, I don't have to worry about what's going on at home. And they give me a little phone call saying like, hey, she did this this week and yada yada yada. I'm like, okay, that's easing off my mind. Now I can put a 100% focus on all these other things to make sure they're good and stay good and when they grow and all that stuff they can go to college and there's a process with that. But if I'm like not taking criticism or not taking like a critique just like a little something simple, if I can't take that and take that as fuel and or as a tool and make that and shipped it and make myself get better at this and I don't deserve to be where I'm at. I don't deserve to continue going. If I can't just reevaluate..

"She's like, yeah, she's like, I always love hearing about these stories about me. I was like, well, this isn't even a bad story. I was like, the early 90s and she's like, yeah, that wasn't me. I've never been there. I don't know who that person is. And I was like, all right, yeah, good time. That's a good screen. It was great saying hi to you. And so then guys started recycling around. We need to get in touch with like, wait a minute. What was somebody was this story totally made up? Like, what the hell? It was in our dorm room. We were just geeky freshmen, fired up. Where did the far side fit in? Someone just wanted to listen to the far side. I heard too far so that was what we always remembered. It was like, hey, put on passing me by again. So we were like, no bra. And you're like, we can't believe she's in a room. And then so now we're like, did we have an impostor for is it just a weirder story? She was like, you can get the fuck away from me. But by the way, totally fair. That would be totally impounds also. I mean, yeah, it wasn't, it was seriously I think I was going out there to be like, probably another MJ LeBron debate and be like, ever silly we get in the seas, MJ LeBron, how much meat left on that bone and be like, I got you, I'll be by at 9 40. And I was like, oh, hey, Stephanie McMahon. It was good to see you again. I remember she was just like deadpan, looked at me. She's like, yeah, that wasn't me. I'd never been there. All right, good times, good times. All right, so here's what I think is always interesting to anybody. The storylines themselves, like I have a friend who was in college with us and I think still deep down has this seed that has not been watered of loving the idea of working in the writers room and coming up with the storylines. Like you said, you're not in it. You're kind of a contractor, comes by and does this, but can you give us any insight into that part of this world? I'll say this. It's certainly different now than it was 20 years ago. It is, you know, there are a lot of writers. There are a lot of people there at any given time. I've never been in a writers meeting, but they really do have these meetings where writers are pitching ideas to Vince McMahon and everyone sort of sitting around. And if you come up with a good idea, you get your props, and it's like, oh my God, I had a moment. This is fantastic. Like all of those things sort of do exist, right? But I have no idea what it's like. I know it's super intense. You know, it's like any sort of writing thing. I'm sure it's akin to SNL. You have your ideas. You want to get your storylines done. And you really want to get your things through and I think it's challenging. And then relationships build, there are some people who say, I work really well with XX and X so a lot of that person's stories will all be written by one person. Someone else's stories will be written by someone else, and then of course there's a lot of collaboration. But like, I don't know. I know everyone always fantasizes about what they could do. Being that close to it to me, it's like I could have seen myself being like, you know what? Just give me the lines. Let me just do the job. This feels like a lot to navigate. The love for the guys that come back from it. You know, it's unique in that a lot of people when they're done with a place at work to like, I never want to be involved with this again. We can tend even if we have a great situation. And for this case, wrestlers, the fame, the money, obviously there's a physical toll, that part of the history isn't great, but everyone seems to come back for a storyline cycle. I think that's pretty rare for anything in entertainment. Yeah, well, that's the thing that's what makes it so great. I mean, honestly, the reason I would tell anyone, it was a lapsed wrestling fan. I watched WrestleMania 20 years ago. But I'm not watching it this weekend. It's the final four. The one thing I would say this, there's a solid chance that at least one of the final four games will disappoint, right? Like that's just sort of the nature of the beast. Stone Cold Steve Austin is coming back on Saturday night at WrestleMania. And it's going to be awesome. 1000% guaranteed you will be as happy as you could possibly be, even though we know that on some level what he's going to do is come back glass breaks, music hits, Austin runs in, gives someone a stunner, drinks beer, gives the finger pours the beer, right? That is going to happen and be awesome. And I think because of that, you have people who will always be wanting to get that again. That's why The Rock is not done. The Rock is going to have a formal send off at some point, but working on a set for Dwayne Johnson for 18 months is not the same satisfaction of when you hear if you smell and everyone jumps up. It's just not even the same thing. So because of that, you're seen as your Austin's your rocks will always come back again and even people who have fallouts with the company where you think, oh, there's no chance there ever coming back. They always come back..

"Just turn into a wrestling show. We had topics to get to. I have so many topics to get to. But i mean you guys are just keep naming wrestlers keep i. I saw clip about buff bagwell the other day. That doesn't ring a bell. Golly i know like the mainstream popular guys but buff bagwell. You could say random name. And i'd probably buy. Yeah oh yeah. That guy is great too. There was some there was some crazy stuff. When you're little you kind of get you get yourself wrapped up in it. And you're based more or less like undertakers. Coming out doing seances and sacrificing. Stephanie mcmahon on a cross and the ring. And you're like what is happening. I don't know but i'm in do of that. One clip of vince mcmahon he'd like jumps in the ring and somehow destroys knees ours just sitting there on the because he can't get a. Oh i mean some of the some of the finishing moves some of the finishing moves like that wouldn't do it would it Wac's childhood man bring back some memories. Dude those were those were the then. He got on the trampoline. And i'll never forget this. I speaking of triple h you know his move aaa married. Stephanie mcmahon triple h had the pedigree put it put your head between his legs. Pull your arms up. Drop your face to the ground. I had a friend who's like wwf moves and i- pedigree him was supposed to catch him with I smashed his face into the ground and bloody nose. "This is all going. Because i mean let's be totally honest pretty challenging. I think for. Wwe now that they've got brock. Leser back. I mean you can only speculate but you would like to believe that if brock leser decided no. Wwe i'm good. I'm not interested in coming back. You like to believe that the trajectory then would've been probably most likely roman reigns lashley next year's wrestlemainia. You like to believe that's probably what was most likely going to go now. But now that we've got lessner back into the mix and then we've still got demon balance in there. You know mixed into all of that as well draft not that far away you kinda feel as though. Ww's just kinda as stephanie mcmahon. And i'm like to say. And i usually try to have things planned out. Laid out. Look at things a couple of months down the road. For some of the superstars they've already got shit mapped out soon they don't get injured usually have shit mapped out for them. Six months in advance. you know. Sometimes they got should you know already laid out a year in advance depending right so in. I'll i'm not gonna freak in. I'm not gonna frigging go there. I mean but when it comes to biggie in a nutshell. I'm not even thinking about the fact that he's black. I'm not thinking about the fact that You know a one black man to another. I'm not going that route. I'm going speaking from the heart strictly as a wrestling fan of wwe's since the early nineteen eighties and seeing so many coming go going through the good times bad times With you know. Wwe you know seeing his career going through annexed t coming up. You know early begins what talked about earlier. I'm proud i'm proud of the guy. I'm happy for fucking guy. I can't wait to see what the future holds for him i. I'm looking forward to it. I they is gonna be one hell of a ride. And i'll tell you what if lashley had lose the championship to somebody. I can't think of a better person than biggie right. Because essentially little less beyond is we're not talking about some fucking you know off the game just got fucked up. "So what did he tells michelle. Is he's going off to go. Coughing aniston going golfing. He ends up at the murder house. I can picture. I don't mean to make light of it. But i don't i don't have anywhere else on. I need everybody to understand that. I am really stupidly excited for this. I cannot wait to watch this. I hate horror movies. I hate scary movies. But i'm gonna watch the shit out of this. I don't care if it takes me five days. I'm gonna do it there for that day. Check out rack actor. Views came undertaker. Basically yeah because we could argue this but yeah the other side of this. That i love is again. Because they don't play this into the character especially towards the end of his career like they kind of do is how intelligent. The undertaker actually is how psychological. He actually is the fact harkening back to that. And there's they're showing that he has this whole really high tech fancy setup that he's using in this house that's so bad ass this obama's are you serious. Like they showed him in front of like all these tv screens. And i'm like oh my god they're gonna make him smart. Don't let it be smart. Because i feel like a lot of times like especially at the he just kinda got reduced down to being this like rest in peace big scary dude. Bright like he didn't really get to have that that psychological worker that he was known for for years and years and years and years and years and years and years right like that he would talk with people and he was smart enough to figure that out and how to do that and get around everybody basically have coffins of people in the all kinds of stuff This is the man that hundred pallbearers asked. Who went to his house to kill him right and track down. Stephanie mcmahon and kidnap stephanie mcmahon. Right out from under his man's knows from her from her bedroom. Like that's that guy so the fact that they have him like in front of these tv screens and he's got this setup and everything like that so bad ass. I love that. Like i feel like i feel like i don't know why. But this is also some really weird love letter to the character whereas it's this really are not love letter but like tribute to who the character really is. And i feel like a lot of ways. We're actually going to get to see the undertaker as he really is as a person because it's a completely different context than wrestling right like we actually get to interact with the undertaker as a person as opposed to a wrestling character because he's in a non wrestling environment just like the new day we get to interact with a new day as people and not necessarily in a wrestling environment as wrestlers. Not say that are people. They absolutely are people. Please treat the murder suspect. But it's a different mindset if it's it's a different suspension of belief it's a different just overall context Than what we're going to see on the net flicks stuff and that's why really excited to see this. Because i'm kind of hoping to get a little bit of lore am hoping to get references galore. I'm hoping we get all kinds of stuff out of this. It's going to be something to see. It's going to be a spectacle of some sort. Which is all you can ask. It's gonna like vision. Like traps up setup like he's macaulay kaukauna in home alone and the new day are going to figure out a way to arrive them. You know what i mean. Oh yeah. I know exactly what you mean so it's going to. It's going to be serious serious at the same time you know. It's going to have a nice mixture of stuff. I think that will leave everyone. You know it'll fit the theme of the bomb because it's hockey and everything like that halloween and all that other stuff now. Let's talk about the other side of this okay. Which will this is epic. This opens up a whole new genre to wwe because they had tried to do films in the past. They had some level of success with different franchises. Like the marine franchise was very successful for them. See no evil was relatively successful. And then i think the twelve rounds at least the last one was somewhat of a success. I mean the couples. They're somewhat successful and then they did some late true stories that were very very successful. Now they're working with net flicks and this is in conjunction with ww films to put this together to do this. They are now opening up. A whole new franchise for not only net flicks. But for the company where you can take different characters in the company and you can put them in these situations and you can. You can do stuff like this like especially for someone like the undertaker starting with someone like him. You would never think of this. You would never think of having him like this unless you write fan fiction than of course yes you've thought about this many many times Like it's just it's like it. Opens up so many doors for them with the different characters that they have to show them in a different light and possibly expand on the characters that they can then draw back to later on in storylines. I can set stuff up in these movies that it's like well you know. You can set a huge. You could set up stories. You can set up a really anything. Want coming out of these Course with marquel. Because he is retired by he's retired he's retired he. He's gotta maintain the house. You know it's got two houses now anyway but this. This is a really cool concept and the fact that they can do this with their different characters. Both scary and non-scary. I'm interested to see if this works because if this works this could be big for them. This is a really interesting test for them. We'll see if they can expand the franchises out to different characters and game get people over. It's more exposure for talent. This is the big thing for new. I because it's like there's one thing to be in the doubly world but now they now they're on that netflix. Different avenue for them. It puts them in a different spotlight than we've seen them in. Yes it'll be very campion. Wbz style and new style can't be guess what will also have the series and it's nice for them to show some range and i think it's been long speculated that it's light people would like to see expansions on the characters like something for the undertaker that she could do an entire feature film on the actual character and take all the lore with the character and kind of tell that story and how that all came together. Because there's a lot about the undertaker that we know but there's a lot about the entertainer that we don't know canes another one Valor one you know where you could do stuff within balancing the demon if you wanted to. If they bring the demon back somebody else they could have done it with but they fired him would be bray wyatt. This was like a whole. This would be like right in that passage real house and of course you know. They're like no. We don't feel like you make us money. So maybe we'll see resigned him but yeah this was. The thing was really better. When i saw this. Because it's like. Jesus christ you could do a whole series you can do an entire fiend like film series or bray wyatt film series escaping the swamp escaping the compound escaping the fiend skipping the funhouse escaping the funhouse like jesus list like there's what four five films right there just for him Y'all can't see my face. But i'm looking at the camera like in the office right now. But yeah i would be really curious to see like i said we're this goes and if this is successful obviously they're starting with a marquee name to kick it off on the right foot in the day and the undertaker And like you said it's gonna be campy. It's gonna be siri silly. It's going to be serious. It's going to have some scary moments..

It's a thing they pitch doesn't mean that's the only idea. They pitched just one of the ideas they patched. I just wanna make that like thing. Like just because dave meltzer tells you something doesn't mean it's always fully accurate or to the whole story no ash. Ko did not get released by. His contract is supposedly up in january and there is speculation. he's going to w there's also speculation very white may end up in aws. Actually the former ray wyatt May end up there but we will have to see if that's the case Because he could go back to Three could go to impact he could go to the indies. He could go back he w he really do whatever he wants He's still holding the name on twitter probably because he has not decided on a new ring name or he has not revealed his new ring name yet. he's waiting to over the case then anything. It's wait until the last minute. Just like bryan bryan did it. After he he debuted so yeah. It's not to give anything away. Yeah it's basically just kind of biding your time and wedding. But it's i don't think wyndham is going back to wwe anytime soon yet. If at all so we'll have to see where he goes. But you know a place that he could turn up would be full gear because that got announced for november thirteenth and his no compete clause is up at the end of october. It is like. I pushed one week from november six because of ufc. Pay per view airing on the same night. They pushed back. One week you will like a full recap of awol out dot com or i'll talk. Radio dot com grabbed the archive the podcast as Cb writer not for myself the intern and the jumper talk all things awa from about two plus hours. Maybe i'm really quickly to impact bound for glory. We'll begin at a special start time of ten pm eastern seven. Pm pacific on saturday. October twenty third. So everybody tune in for that. But we'll see what the hell let me start star. I think they're trying not to go ahead against competition but we'll have to see what's going on there. We will have to say and finally. Wwe some big news coming out of their Ms has joined dancing with the stars so he joins the likes of stacey keebler and chris jericho. I think those are the only two that have done it in being on the dance show so we'll have to see how he does very exciting for him. I don't think they've announced his partner. They've announced all thirty. People are celebrities. Let's really weird seeing nick marks and a nfl commercial. Yeah it's weird isn't it. It's very weird. Yeah the first time. I saw it. I was like wait. Merck's nick marks and then he tweeted it out. I'm like oh my god nick. Mark steyn football commercial cool very good news for triple h this week Apparently there was an incident last week. That no one knew about he. He has since undergone successful surgery following a cardiac event. So glad to hear that he's doing okay. Glad to hear that the surgery was successful. And we're sending all our love and prayers to papa age as he recovers from that i was that was not news. You wanted to hear on Yesterday i was like. Oh oh that's terrifying. That is terrifying it. It's one that makes you go. Wait a minute oh shit and for any reports out there saying why this happened. Wwe has not officially released. a why it's just. He has a condition that caused the events supposedly and they had to conduct surgery on him So anybody says oh. It's because he had to give up. Power runner exceed that's crap. They did not release a why. They said that you know there was an incident. It's since been taken care of. And he's on the met anyone reporting that it's a heart attack this data that you don't know because the only person who knows our stephanie mcmahon and triple h doctors and his daughters and no one else is going to tell you a thing everyone else is making up shit. Yeah so let's not. Let's not spread false news. Let's spread the love for hunter as he recovers because at seaport thing and speaking of recovering cheetahs from cove in nineteen off. Nfc for the last few weeks. So hopefully he. He's he's improving. Seems like he's going to be on the impact on television here in near future so wonder why. Oh hey that roderick. Strong stronger can't hold that's why. Yeah so. he should be back here next couple of weeks. That mcafee has also successfully recover from that. He has successfully covered. He spent his two weeks On twitter quarantining and as home doing radio show and yeah he's back. He was back in studio. I go so he's back and ready to go. Yeah he will be on smackdown tomorrow night and last but certainly not least for wwe gables. Stevenson has officially signed with the company. This is no surprise. He's been tweeting a lot about it. They featured him a lot So what's interesting about this right. It's an exclusive agreement. And he's going to stay in school. It's the first ever an i l. deal which will allow him to join the russell while still defending his. Nc title from the university of minnesota. That was the only way that was going to go down. But it's because of the new rules that they put out and stuff so it's like this can happen so that's really cool like the licensing and stuff like that. Allow this sort of thing happen. Thanks awa we appreciate it so for forever on the place to be somewhere else on olympic gold medal athlete. The best wrestler in the world signed with wwe wwe's okay. Here's a video on his personal Twitter account from late April of Triple H getting vaccinated with Stephanie McMahon. By the way. Stephanie McMahon is a Fox deluxe. Both of them vaccinated a few months later, he had a heart condition. Now, Bob Odenkirk, the star of Better call, Saul. Oh, that's right. He had a little heart problem as well out in the desert like I'll stop drawing lines. I don't know what happened to these people. I'm not doing Medical procedures on him. I've not given them a physical, but boy, it's hard to not, you know, not notice that the vaccine seems to give you covid or the vaccine seems to give you blood clots or it seems to give you heart. Not a tax Some other thing, an issue of some kind because they don't want it to sound bad. Yeah, There's probably something to be said about that. Hey, we have a very exciting announcement to make on the show. Ladies and gentlemen, the award for woke ast teachers of the year goes to Boy. I'm excited now. This is probably longer than it needs to be. But hang on. Wait for the anticipate patient killing. There we go this Wow, If that just went on for five more seconds, you would have had a heart attack, Wouldn't you This year is we've seen a number of cases where woke teachers have sought to indoctrinate their students. Um, which, but which cases it featured the well. Hkust of the work here is a list of them. We've now got a list of the official workers teachers, and wouldn't you like to know who they are So very welcome. You might not know all of these teachers or any of them, but it may do good to know where they're from. A California high school teacher says she took down the American flag in her classroom. Because it made her uncomfortable. And then she put up the gay pride flag. Yeah, she claims she has her students say the pledge of Allegiance to the pride flag instead. How about that one, huh? So when they say a pledge allegiance to the flag of They don't say the United States of America. What do they say to the gay states of America? I don't know. Did they rewrite it? I don't understand that one either. Now, Gabriel Grape if your guy P. Excuse me if you remember that name another public school teacher, also on the West Coast. He's an antifa member and a teacher at not know Thomas United School District secretly recorded to admitting indoctrinating students. Who want to overthrow the government, he said. I have 180 days to turn them into revolutionaries. So obviously this one ended up on the list. And here's a third teacher, Kristen Pitzen, who taught in the Newport Mezza Unified School District in Orange County, California, was investigated after she always just read that one after, she said It made her very uncomfortable to be around students. With the American flag. Sorry that was on the list twice in the fifth place. Here is one teachers in Tennessee who were ready to defy a law banning critical race theory. Liz Jarvis taught English as a second language claimed this is a bill that viciously favors white kids and ignores the need for Children of color. I guess her point was, it's more important to tell kids that their victims than to actually yes, it is. Anyway, My point is, what do they all have in common? You notice anything there? Where do they all geographically? Mm. There is they're all on the West Coast, aren't they? Which once again proves my one of them in Tennessee..

Stephanie mcmahon got ahold of aaa. Just phone text to nash. i think that's what laura knight is pulled. Kevin nash aside to tell him he wanted to clue them into smart in them up and say hey just so you know You know. Stephanie who says the tax not hunter and And there's you know the that will play out some sort of power play between steph and hunter what i fear and we can maybe address the faction question as part of this. I just feel that we're gonna see kind of a repeat of a lot of things going on that have been going on. Tna with bischoff and hogan. I wonder hunter and stuff aren't going to say well you know it's going to be on. Tv we need the man magic man star power. So let's learn hunter and stephanie and maybe nationally behind the scenes type way be major. tv characters. That are all battling for power And mick foley could even be brought in by the network or by the board of directors and try to offset the power and be one hundred side and try to offset the power that learn. Either national stephanie. Half i think it's going in weird places but i could see punk with the faction eventually completely separate from any of the story line but i i don't i don't think hundred. Stephanie are gonna have a factor in restaurants. I think they'll be battling power behind the scenes. Jason i don't rule out some kind of they represent people they have people that represent them in the ring you know and i wouldn't be. I wanna see what happens with stephanie. We know she was in at summer slam and she stuck around for raw. Obviously but was this just because it was summer slam is. She could actually be a tv. Going forward i. I kind of wonder if the is that stephanie and more lauren itis or working on ventures we have and we're gonna see more events who does go to at least mo shows As for what was the a fat. Oh the faction part of it. I could see Maybe he's i'd be surprised if we're punk though. There was a lot of talk of bringing in kings of wrestling a lot of online speculation. And but i know some talk a little bit of talk at least with some of the players that yeah they may go that route but i think that was before they really decided punks baby face now. I i think there at the time there were still some discussion. That punk was gonna remain. He'll at that point. I think then kings of wrestling. Maybe a colt cabana. Maybe a tyler black and stuff like that was still in play. I think it's kind of up in the air right now and and you know maybe is would be a guy that could lead something like that. It wouldn't be that all thing that everybody was kind of talking about online. But it doesn't matter i mean i. I don't think the i think a very small percentage. Wwe fans would notice any you know would you would even recognize it. Hey all these guys work for that ring for company. Yeah yeah i i. I think you're right and we may even see Kings wrestling come in separate from pumpkin. The him capacity the young bucks formerly generation being tna gotta try out an empty arena trial for producers Last night at raw. So it's possible that you know they'd be brought in. Then you got the usoz. Vincent man i. I assume it was him through the headsets. Not happy with david. Otunga michael mcgillicuddy. Second wanted to see him. You know something on them. And lawler was a surrogate spokesman in that instance so we could end up seeing. If i remember correctly it made him with triple crown champion. it made him a triple crown. Champion in a grand slam champion and the process. Believe it or not then when he Feud with kurt angle. You'll see on the eighty guerrero the documentary there. You know stephanie. Mcmahon she reveals that prior. To eddie guerrero passing. If you guys recall 'cause what was it Minneapolis minnesota i think was to pay per view. was supposed to be But that weekends pay-per-view were eddie was supposed to attend a steph. Mcmahon had revealed that A tournament or something like that and they were trying to think tha crown a new champion or something along those lines. And stephanie mcmahon had revealed that eddie at that pay per view he was supposed to win and he was supposed to be the new champion and i believe they have mentioned it to eddie and he was pretty excited in everything he was. He was very excited and You know but it it sally. It didn't come to be it. Didn't come to be. I believe it was a paper view. That was going through something that was supposed to be going on that weekend. And stephanie half passed the message along to him and he was very excited because when they ultimately took the title off with him He was pretty bummed about he was excited. And everything. we became a champion but he was a little bit bombed out About it because i remember there was a a period. I'll have to research this a little bit more. Because my ma's a little fuzzy right now but if i remember correctly the pay per view buy rates and the house show gates. Were a little bit low. During eddie's time as champion i mean. It was decent buds looking at that trajectory. You could make an argument okay. We'll at this. Trend is going to continue to go down. Maybe we should come back away from this. In kind of go in a different i resume. Which kind of shake it up a little bit or whatever i think because he died at the pinnacle of when he was just starting to really.

You see it doesn't matter if there's ten thousand fans at their zero fans because this is how I I remember that can only way I could describe it as it's like when you're at chucky cheese and the animatronic band starts playing into an empty room. It's still playing. It's still doing. Its own thing. But there's nobody that Iraq to it and that was like the first couple of weeks of this and also they've been utilizing more space around the performance center lake attacks in the parking lot and stuff like that to try to make it feel more than just trying to recreate something inside of an empty room derailed. Me With that chucky cheese analogy this. It's the it's the rock afire explosion ban. Greg get it right. There's nothing better than being in an empty room with the rock afire. Explosion Band and just hearing the gears clunk together. It's jarring but also satisfying so wrestlemainia. Thirty six is happening on Saturday. What was the original plan for the event the original plan was to hold wrestlemainia? Thirty six at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa and this was going to be a huge event for those who don't know it's not just simply wrestlemainia. Inside of a stadium. It is an entire city being overrun by. Wwe events you have the Access Fan Festival you have the WWE Hall of Fame Ceremony. Where wrestlers of old honored and put into a virtual hall of fame. Physical building doesn't exist quite yet and then also after Wrestlemainia the next day on Monday. It's tradition to hold Monday night raw in that same city so this isn't just simply one event on a on a on a Saturday night for The city of Tampa. It was a whole citywide sort of celebration for wrestling as of March. Third The W. E. and Tampa's mayor said there were no plans to postpone the event the W. E. said look the health safety of our fans and performance of our top priorities. But we remain committed to hosting Wrestlemainia at Raymond. James Stadium fast forward to March twelfth. Now you have Hillsborough County's commissioner less Miller saying he'll probably have to cancel wrestlemainia if the. Wwe doesn't make the decision itself because of the virus pandemic governor Rod Santa's that points that cities and counties should cancel mass gatherings over the next thirty days and so it was becoming a worse than worse. Look for W. E. to keep wrestlemainia scheduled framing Jamie Stadium on March sixteenth. They made the decision not to have upwards of sixty five seventy thousand people come to a stadium during a virus outbreak and instead moved into their performance center in Orlando. It's a two night event April fourth and April Fifth. How has wwe justified or explained their decision to go on with us? Well there's the public explanation and then there's the assumed explanation that the public explanation according to the WWe is that it is for the fans the fans are the lifeblood of the organization it is a panacea the fans to be able to hold this event. It is going to give them some comfort in a time of confusion and trouble. It's also going to be arrested for the performers themselves who you know are looking for some direction or looking for some focus in life during uncertain times. And that's sort of the the public explanation for this. If you know about the wrestling business you know that part of this is the fact that story lines that are going to have their big payoff. At wrestlemainia are a month long process. All the story lines all the action. They all run through. Vince McMahon they are on one track. And they're going to stay on that track through hell or high water. These are storylines narratives that the W has been planning to wrap up in culminate at Wrestlemainia happens every year and then they kind of moved to new stuff after that so from a function process to have wrestlemainia occur and wrap up which are the signature feuds and storylines of their season. If you will was a pretty important thing was there any blowback to all of this. Yeah I think there has been some in the rest in wrestling circles amongst wrestling reporters and and amongst the fans wondering okay. We are looking around the sports world. We're looking around the entertainment world. We're seeing literally every pro league every concert tour Disney on ice everything canceling out of concern about corona virus and yet professional wrestling roles on as a weekly television product so there is a bit of confusion. There're two why this continues while every other facet of sports entertainment seems to have stopped. What about amongst the wrestlers did any of them have reservations about participating in this one particular did so wrestler by the name of Roman reigns one of the bigger stars and WWe had a very highly publicized battle with leukemia? He left in October. Two thousand eighteen returned to WWE IN FEBRUARY. Two thousand nine thousand nine hundred and he's compromised so news started to break recently through some of the quote unquote dirt sheets in wrestling. The ones who report the rumor. Innuendo that Roman reigns was not going to be participating in his scheduled match against Goldberg for the Universal Championship at Wrestlemainia. Wwe basically said hey look. This is understandable situation. The health and safety of our performers paramount Sakiz. The biggest name that we know will not be participating but quite frankly until we see what events they air this weekend we won't know who else may have decided to pull out or had to be quarantined or any of that nature because they're being very clandestine about what the card will actually be the first wrestlemainia. That's taking place over multiple nights. It's also the first wrestlemainia that is going to be completely pretaped. So when did they take this weekend's event and what steps did they take to ensure the safety of the wrestlers in the people working on it? It's been a race against time for me. As I mentioned the performance center is in Orlando Florida Orlando Florida. Recently issued a stay at home order March twenty sixth that really closed out all the essential businesses. Just like we've seen all over the country so the WBZ has been racing. It's time to not only record wrestlemainia matches but also record. Future television matches programming as well as far as the safety of the wrestlers. It is a closed control facility. Stephanie McMahon the daughter of owner Vince McMahon who is the brand manager for WWe said to variety. Recently there's extensive testing screening. When you first come into the facility regardless of whether you're a talent crew member or anyone else if you have a temperature taken and you have a temperature over a hundred point four degrees you're automatically asked to leave also any wrestlers de out of the country or in contact anybody who's been out of the country you're not actually allowed to enter the facility. Either so they are taking some safety measures as far as trying to make sure anyone exhibiting symptoms isn't allowed in the facility or anyone who might have been exposed to corona virus through travel or relationships isn't allowed in the facility. Which is you know what you see from other companies as well but obviously there's no way to be sure without Virus testing whether anybody actually has the center of city so they tape this before the stay at home order. Does that mean this is going to be the last big event like this or is this something they're going to keep on doing? There is a lot of sort of mystery as to how these wrestling organizations are going to continue to keep on doing their thing. I'm not sure what the regulations mean for the performance in Orlando. I don't know if this is GonNa be it for their use facility or not. I can't tell you that. Eighty w their competition with also filming inside of an empty facility in Florida's well and there was news this week that they're gonNA be taking their show to some undisclosed to record matches going forward so I don't know if it's GonNa be a shell game where these companies have to start going to the few places around the country that don't have restrictions in place or what have you. But it's clear from both cases that even though they're putting a bunch of their product in the bag right now in our taping matches and episodes for future use on television. The show apparently is going to go on
