"I'm Stephanie Gaines Bryant thanks for being with us now to the P .O .P. car review it's is it a supercar or is it a station wagon no it's the Audi RS6 Avant. WTOP car guy Mike Paris joined Dimitri Sotis with with his review of the new wagon picture one car solution sometimes you need an SUV to haul the kids to school and then you want a fast car on the weekend so you have to have a separate car to go to the track where the RS6 Avant does it all you can throw the family in there and when you drop off at school you can definitely go to the racetrack and you or your significant other can have a lot of fun with this vehicle so it's kind of all So that sounds like the the best feature here the versatility yeah this is a station wagon so yeah you can throw the kids there in you can throw groceries you can go to the store and throw lots of cargo in there so yeah it's definitely a very useful car it just happens to have 591 horsepower so it burns a lot of gas clearly yeah it definitely does especially if you hit the go pedal with this you're getting 16 miles per gallon or so so uh definitely highway on the you can see better than that but if you like to hear the turbos like to hear that v8 sound it's definitely going to cost you probably tickets and gas so we talked about the price of gas keeping that tank full it's a supercar with kind of a price super yeah definitely is it starts about 122 000 for the 2023 model if you want the 2024 model as a price bump but you get an extra couple of horsepower up to 620 horsepower for the 2024 models so i guess maybe an extra three or four grand uh won't break the bank for that extra power we know that car dealers have had issues keeping product on the lot you know you can't always find exactly what you're looking for color or model or whatever is it going to be hard to find one of these it's probably not the easiest vehicle to find not they're going to make a ton of these this isn't going to be your your honda accord where you can go down and get one every uh on every there's not going to be many dealers stocking 120 150 000 station wagon the station like it's not the most popular vehicle in the world but this is probably one of the cooler vehicles in the world right so unusual and that's the one of selling points uh beyond what we talked about the the high cost are there other downsides well yeah definitely the cost it's station a wagon it's as cool as it can be but it still has that stigma that it's it's kind of the family truckster the brick on wheels so it's kind of hard to shake that even with all this power that and definitely it's going to be darn hard to find one of these wtop car guy mike paris see pictures of and read about the audi six avant at wtop .com search car review now to the top stories we're working on at wtop investigators in the district are piecing together what led to a mass shooting in southeast that left three people dead keep it here here for full details on these are on the eight to carlos ramirez in the wtop traffic center thanks stephanie the northbound side of highway crane still dealing with an accident scene this is going to be a little closer to st stevens church road looks like both sides of the roadway are affected but all activity should be on shoulders regardless you're gonna see them on both sides so folks are gonna slow down a little bit as they make their way by just be extra cautious northbound 95 northbound bw parkway both looking good no slowdowns between the beltways but if you're headed towards baltimore northbound side worth noting as you approach the baltimore beltway left -hand side of the roadways blocked off with a work zone minimal delays 270 looks from frederick to the beltway and vice versa if you're headed on 340 looks like on the eastbound side coming harper's ferry towards sandy hook might have a couple of cones there over on the right -hand side but again no delays down a closer inside the beltway northbound side of old georgetown road dealing with a crash on your approach towards the capital beltway way should be over on the right side might be on the shoulder by now to be honest 66 eastbound past nutley street the work zone blocks right the side if you're headed on the westbound side looks like the left lane is what is squeezing on by now at the tavern at ivy city smokehouse bushel loads of steamed maryland crabs or try the ten dollar happy hour menu with smash burgers smoked
