So far so good in the series, which opened last night, they beat the Padres 75 Jon Lester, though, did not do well in his start. But five relievers combined for five and two thirds scoreless innings in the victory and trade. Turner was back in the lineup last not only back in the lineup from that jammed finger there was causing a problem causing missed four games the entire Dodgers series, but he had a leadoff home run last night. So encouraging for the Washington Nationals. NBA Finals get started tonight in Phoenix and Milwaukee has not been to the NBA Finals since 1974. Phoenix has not been in the NBA Finals since 1993 Phoenix. In fact, there's never one NBA title. Milwaukee's only title was back in 1971. When I got in cream Abdul Jabbar was playing for the Bucks. Or he might have still been called Lowell Center at that point, but you get the idea. It's been a long time and tonight it's the first time since 1998 that the finals will be played without LeBron James, Steph Curry, Kobe Bryant, Tim Duncan or Dwyane Wade. So it is a different finals. And for that reason, also, you could argue an intriguing final who you pick and between the sons and bucks. You can make strong arguments for both. At Wimbledon today. "About pro athletes they're the one percent of the one percents if you think about industry leaders in business same goes There are a ton of fantastic business people and entrepreneurs out there fantastic athletes out there and You know you could talk about the competitive nature and even the grit and work ethic. That goes into making it to the top. There is a little bit of nature. Most of it is nurture and You know we can say hey. It requires a lot of work and that means can work like doing seven hundred plus podcasts waking up at four o'clock in the morning but that happens over time and we are a world of instant gratification and we wanna celebrate the founders on the cover of entrepreneur inc magazine and we think that happens over the overnight. None of it does. So i think the crossover skills if you look at world class athletes. Formerly you know. And alex rodriguez or currently a steph curry. Kobe bryant rest in peace. Like these are. The athlete prodigies one of a kind. Those transferable skill sets lend themselves while the business number two though. Is you really have to educate yourself. So this is an entirely new arena for a lot of athletes understand business and there is a stereotype. Attached to athletes coming over into business as dumb jocks or just athletes just entertainers. You have to work twice as hard to make half the progress because we're later But that competitiveness the grit and then tied to educating yourself. The intellectual curiosity. I think are transferable skills. The last thing i'll add because fundraising is a daunting process. You get twenty to thirty knows per one. Maybe Athletes tend to be used to that repetitive. Censu- failure Whether it's a lacrosse player shooting fifteen or twenty percent which is considered all pro or baseball player hitting two or three out of ten. You're used to that and have that developed resilience which is required to go raise capital one of the other things that interest me because you have built your own brand. You know. i've been on your early day. Podcast as well and you know understanding community. When i looked at cll in. I had been involved in rugby for years Trying to get rugby into the olympics and then working with the sevens with lyle and in hodges and with the us now being on the olympic committee looking at rugby as a sport and i saw so many parallels between kind of the second tier sport of ruggedly rugby which is a world renowned sport You know very popular outside of the united states and i saw the same similarities. When you're going out on the road onto your road show. And i was going to look at it in wonder. How's he going to separate himself from you. Know some of these other sports the secondary football leagues and and rugby and a few others out there that not. They haven't got traction and success that you've had why do you think or where is that. Subtlety of success of how you have been able to have the success that for example rugby just hasn't been able to get even though it's a world popular sport that's a it's a great question And i think that like you said rugby has been successful. Globally has struggled domestically in the us. is most popular in the world. In the united states. North america game. It was created by native americans in the iroquois but formerly the haudenosaunee there are world class players in our league from the onondaga. grew up and still live in the confederacy It is canada's national sport of the summer. "Just verbal. But it's also your intake. The information listening to another person speak ensuring pieces of himself saw. It's it's good to know that year you're sort of like car. Yeah it's year. You set a good tone. I guess for the guest right. Yeah i just wanna make sure that they feel comfortable safe and some people are practiced other people. It's the first time they might be on a lot of podcasts. But it's the first time that you're talking specifically about that topic so it's a bit different and that's why i'm able to get some of the guests that i am is because they've you know they're like oh they're intrigued by that topic and how it correlates they've never really explored it. It's only off brand for them and if you pitch it that way a lot of people might be interested. You still a quick lightning round. And then we'll get into asked the club segment and those off You and i had a conversation and two nights ago. If there's ever been a moment or an interview that you where you're like fuck. I wish it went totally different. Based on how. I thought it would go as a is there ever. Is there a structure that you're looking to implement into your shows right now to kind of like avoid that from happening. Yes so There was a point when i was basically just accepting everyone on my show and now i'm a little bit more play so i was featured in a newsletter that got me like sixty inbound requests of the sixty. I think i did thirty. Maybe twenty five recordings of that. So i was still vetting people but not like super well. I was still uncomfortable. Say no to people if their stories in hit that well. So now it's more about me going out and actually putting in the work to recruit speaker like recruit guests Ones that i know. I while on my show and that's kind of my in my approach so that that doesn't happen in the future but also i mean i've had interviews that i thought really poorly and then the week i was gonna post them. It was the exact things. I was thinking about that. We can like my own self reflection and like this is exactly what i needed at this exact time Call it the stars. Aligning call it. Burgo and podcast thing. I don't know but it's mesmerizing. How that can happen. Favorite guests guests man. There's been so many good ones allenstein. Junior has a really good one. We talk about emotional intelligence. He used to be a Nba performance goes so. He's worked with like steph curry kobe. Bryant Kevin durant a lot of the top talent in the nba. That was really interesting. Another one was like the biggest threat i had gotten on a personal level was jason lee. I don't know if you know jubilee media on youtube. But they got six million subscribers they have like the middle ground series spectrum. All these different really cool series but really cool topics i got him to come on my podcast to those would probably be to the end. The porn star. Those were probably my top three. Those are those are pretty elite conversations in the one. i'm recording. this week will probably be Top five podcasts. That you listened to top the once called the angry therapist. It's so good. He talks about relationships. He talks about their micro segments episodes to some ranging between four minutes and ten minutes to fifteen minutes super good so the angry therapist fantastic. He's one of dream guests who he's got some fantastic books to modern manhood by this organization called next gen men. I've had their founder cum on my podcast to That talks about some of the topics in a different way than i do in like more like journalistic avenue I really liked that. One gives them ideas of what to talk about on my podcast and and how to go there and then Another one that. I listened to the school greatness ron purpose like more of the cliche. Big ones One by j shetty and the other one by Lewis house so lewis house wrote a book called the masculinity but he's also got a huge podcast. That buck is one of the books i like. Inspired me to go on this journey to so school of greatness would probably be my third one. Okay an episode episode gore like. What is the how many episodes are your hand. I've recorded seventy but released sixty two though. What's your ultimate number to get to that you you feel like oh. I didn't know i would get to this number. Rose i know you want to keep going but like we're lake. What's the wait for. I never thought. I'd make it to the twenty to be honest so the fact that i'm already sixty one sixty two Pretty awesome to me to be honest number that i would wanna get like i. Honestly it's never been about the number for me So i can't really give an answer there. Thank you for sharing. This is the point part of the show. Where like our guests get to Pretty much present their own questions and bring their questions to table any inquiries whether it's directed directly towards me show the concept it's listeners So people could kinda chime in next week. We share them on so so knowledge radical questions. I know you asked one of them earlier. You've got more. Do i have two more. So i i be day gonna walk and today i five pm so i went on before we recorded this and two questions kind of came to mind so i don't ask one at a time i will so the first one is. I know you're like creative or and stuff. So where does your inspiration. Come from. Like is it from trauma. Is it from your past. Like because i think a lot of the time. It's hard to know where that core can come from. And as you kind of alluded to earlier to you are in your soul stays constant but the outside kind of changes like who. Where does that inspiration in your soul. Come from to do what you do. Have a lot to keep it short. Have a lot to say. No no no. I mean i see how happened there. No i'm i'm telling you where it comes from like the urge to say to say things to to share pieces of my story to the world like i want to inspire people with not only the good that i've been through our experienced life but also the stuff that has challenged me. I'm not going to use the word bad. Because that's relative like what a person might consider bad might not have been bad to me. I might look at it now and say that's just i was meant to go through that so that i could be here today so i could tell the story. He also left that back about how you look at it so the urge to just speak and to to like i think that sometimes we come across creatives that exist or less safe famous people and they don't share the wealth they don't share the the knowledge the experience the stuff that took.

"The gmc basketball podcast last segment. We discussed everything such as the nba. And them do coke. Kobe's been a big issue. They've been having to deal with that. They had postponed the heat and celtics game. Sixers barely gonna have enough games to play their game because of the steph curry kobe. Nineteen prices if you wanna call it that so basically a lot of stuff's happening right now in the nba. They're having to work with and deal with but the show must still go and they they all worked but the thing that right now is currently. It's gone under the radar but it still big deal is what's happening in in brooklyn so apparently kyrie irving was supposed to play now. Kevin durant is out right now because of a kobe protocol. So kyrie is healthy right. So he's supposed to play in the thursday primetime game last week and then he wasn't going to play for personal reasons so he didn't play. And then we learned that steve. Nash really didn't know why. I read in play and now than there were more borst. They came out that said it was just simply because kyri didn't want to play but not but not citing because a definite family or something happened just just. He just didn't want to play. Could it be political because of what's happening in the country this past week. Maybe we don't know in the in the nets. have it clarify what. The reason is either so a lot of people that have paid. Attention have been kind of scratching their head a little bit now. Obviously katie came back against oklahoma city which they lost and then that me work through. But i think that's really irked. Some people because people are just like kyri. Why why would you just. Why would you just not play if you're healthy. And so now listen overall the nets. The nets team have still played. Well i'll carry krayzelburg has gone on so they've still play well buckeye which is good for the team but and they have their own issue. Where you you know. Katie comes back you think. Oh they're playing good gigi comeback. They lose maybe issue similar to land the too much through kyri and katie that has been issued. I've seen nets beat writers talk about. They feel like they played too much through them in there too dependent on them where when they're not there they have to use everybody to actually win and that's when they played better basketball but that's not what i'm talking about right now. It's it's just a point. Want to me. It's just the fact that you know curry just has kari's always had this history of just doing things that just make people that make you shake your. Hey and also. Bukhari has a history. You know. I think cari through his years in it feels like every year. He's gotten to the remember in the first four or five years really really never say too much. He really never did too much. he was fine. I mean he didn't do anything and then ever since he left. He demanded that trade from cleveland. He's been outspoken. He said controversial things. It's almost just like now. He's just like. I have a lot to say in in in so the the fact that basically he's not playing because he doesn't want to play. Apparently it's just kinda like i mean because that's the thing i mean. It could be tied into what happened with the capital. It could be karma has shown that things from outside can affect how because he's always told people it's just the game at the date. Other things are more important so i i don't think that made him not play especially since he's missing multiple games one thing if he missed a game. He's missing multiple games right now. Perfectly healthy and so. I'm sure if your teammate of kyrie maybe make you sit there and just be like what what is going. Why is he not with us. Like what what is keeping him from actually being here in l. listen. I'm sure they've texted kyri now. We don't know kyrie's close players so he might give more insight of what's going on where other players they know. He probably won't tell him too much but just the fact that there's reports going out but he's not playing just because he doesn't want to play it just it just kind of makes weird because it's just like are you. Is it code related. Are you worried with the kobe outbreak. That maybe you need to step away for a second see how the nba kind of handles it. Then come back. I mean that's the thing we're we're looking for some type of justified reason for it because if you if you just say listen to a covert outbreak and nba. And i need to see how things work out. That's completely understandable. Chew you may even be able to bring up does he have covert potentially and they're just not wanting to reward. Why when report it why that wouldn't be released to the nba. But i mean these are all possibilities that kyrie has left people with because he because there has been no information. A wise decision was made in. So i think that's why right. Now we're we're in a spot where we're just so. What exactly is going right now. Would exactly is the issue right now. Would exactly is actually affecting kyrie right now and i think that's why you know. Listen.

"Sports leader we will get to Superbowl coverage but as you hear there there were many with an outpouring a yesterday the death of a Kobe rather was last night Jerry west of course who traded for Kobe Bryant nineteen ninety six a lot of the votes went to the Hornets Jerry west got the legend Kobe Bryant Kobe passed away yesterday in a helicopter crash north of LA just before a ten o'clock yesterday certain he was broken up doc rivers shack magic Kareem all but I I think the only guy that I heard speak from the organization was was Jerry and the budget was it was tough for Jerry to get through that and here is no longer with the Lakers he's with the clippers any as animosity towards the organization but yeah he I mean I I I I probably don't give Jerry enough credit what I was talking earlier about you know the Jerry west Jimmy's maybe the best complete player as far as the Laker history but Jerry only one the one championship in the heart of them for years you wanted seventy one seventy two when they went sixty eight and thirteen there you're but I mean mac all time later back or be Colby and Jerri Westover magic a distance of more complete players but again Jerry west love Kobe Bryant in every regard he's the one who went to his work out when he was just a kid and talking about Michael Cooper in there to try to guard Kobe man again Michael Cooper was the best defensive player you know in the NBA for a long long time he was older and he just Adam you know get on the floor and work with golden call the animal live in you know Kobe went sit at the trade was for the thirteenth pick it wasn't like he went out one or two or three he want in on the warriors that infamous Dave Georgia cantat fuller but a lot of people just didn't take a chance because they are very seldom at a high school player jumped all the way to the pros and then successful Moses Malone dead body Moses was not an overnight success she went to the ABA in the Utah stars he went briefly to the buffalo Braves he here to go to a few spots before he found himself bill Willoughby was was a high school kid to jump directly will repair numberless in in all those guys and then it kind of had been a while in the garden it was taken in ninety five later and then Kobe was taken in ninety six okay okay that was before yeah he was the year before yeah it garnet uncertain and wasn't garnet yeah I know he wasn't he is right now yeah I was about ten points on about in about twenty minutes he was just okay so people like like you said at that point had still kind of thought it and we take high school guys yet in Kobe change that but but with it in a wild as you said those guys in and been awhile then gar net thing Colby in that kind of start getting going to have a couple of guys like you know Sean camp player on your junior college ball but he did play Spencer Haywood in the whole hardship back in the early seventies did play briefly but if you have the point is that we're making is there there was a real reluctance to draft a high school player in think he could play professional basketball right away and Kobe he was good right away he wasn't great you know his rookie year was the infamous three herbals and Utah covered in that I cover that but its series and I have the opposing locker room and I I talked to Kobe after those air balls and even for some fourteen that night you to Saudi went fourteen fourteen you know it's seven while teen years old that he he had the resolve it was amazing and the one thing you don't know about any young player like Nick Bosa how do you know Nick boss is gonna be so great well partly because it was father is in his brother but you don't know about their work ethic and just a couple of moments that I was with Colby I've did a few action was supposed to do the eighty one point game against Toronto but I I decided not to do that I want to watch football instead but that year I did five or six Laker games and I remember traveling with them to Salt Lake City and just going from the hotel to the Laker bus with Kobe Bryant and I I've never been around and I you know I was with this version of a Tim Duncan is a very unassuming superstar gets overlooked but Kobe was you know Steph curry before Steph curry Kobe Bryant was the league at that point as far as popularity and it was just hit me Justin he was so gracious to everybody but he was that big of a star and then the other remembrance I have him so well he played the warriors on a night after you've played a very poor game the night before and this was well into the rear I think he already had all the rings are a lot he was already gets a multiple champion and I wasn't at the arena that never we'd a camera there was here the warriors pregame that night and he walked into the arena at four o'clock in oracle four o'clock and he had played the night before an inflated was standard and there he was just getting up a ladder that you see some guys do it at five thirty or six for seven forty but he was doing it at four o'clock anyone hard and he was putting himself through this maniacal work out in anyone out that night dominated so as I say I just anybody who was born with that kinda natural challenge I think Kobe Bryant he can you can rest peacefully now knowing in that the the thing is he's not gonna be able to live the rest of his life and I I I really thought one day he would have been a great GM our president of basketball ops I think you would have done that fabulously well but I think the one thing as far as his basketball career which meant so much to him he really did get every ounce of his ability out of himself he he can never say he took a short cut he worked as hard as you can possibly work came back from the Achilles everything I just I've never seen a guy with a natural ability the Kobe Bryant maximize it and work might not actually like he was just trying to make the team is the twelfth man Marcus Thompson is gonna join us coming up next one of the best pieces you could read the obviously he had one thing big in common and it's probably the saddest part of this this whole story will get into it with mark is coming up next Bob Myers at about eleven o'clock as we memorialize Kobe Bryant only on the sports center the city is Papa and lined it on the tune an app to your smartphone he.

"Key word health for life I don't know what I don't know what does make how this makes you feel but it just seems like it's so wrong because there is nothing wrong with the American saying fight for freedom but if you put something out on your Twitter feed that says fight for freedom are you are is the boss going to come to you and and raise holy cane or you gonna get fired so the NBA listen to this that what a bunch of phony to face people this is there chief communications officer name is Mike bass chief communications officer for the NBA said the league recognizes that Maurice tweet deeply offended many of our friends and fans in China which is regrettable no it's not bass added that the league supports individuals sharing their views on matters important to them I don't think so what a phony baloney this might **** G. communications officer the NBA is full of you know what yes we we support individual sharing their views on matters important to them no you don't then he goes on this guy all my gosh how can I he says we have great respect for the history and culture of China and hope that sports in the NBA can be used as a unifying force to bridge cultural divides and bring people together well I couldn't care less I really could not careless I I mean great your Chinese I admire if you I love people who know their history and culture in the background and you should honor it if you're Chinese but wonder what we have to honor their history and culture and odd thing that somehow that that NBA is going to bring us together as no it's not and these talks coming up later this week or not gonna bring is any closer together either so the timing is awkward for the NBA China has teams in the U. S. plane preseason games this week the NBA has a China office they just announced plans to add a gaming team in Shanghai through the NBA two K. league what's that is that the farm league must be and officials in both countries say as much as as many as five hundred million Chinese watch at least one NBA game last season several NBA players like Steph curry Kobe Bryant they go to China annually to promote their individual brands and the World Cup held in China earlier this summer saw countless fans attending in NBA jerseys so this is all about business and I'm not willing to shoot myself in the foot I get that they don't have to they don't have to commit but they sure as heck don't have to bend over backwards to be please forgive us please please please the rockets have a large following in China because primarily would win Yao Ming played for them but wow you say one thing about the fact that you stand a fight for freedom stand with Hong Kong and everybody is I don't know just what goes on with businesses that do no wonder we are no wonder we are running a five hundred billion dollar deficit with China every year because our businesses are executives are afraid of their own shadows it is so true you talk to CEOs a big companies and they're so afraid to offend anybody that to the point where it just it just makes me regurgitated does so I don't I I should be picking on the NBA but it's a story that's out today and it bothers me to no end but it but you go to a bunch of other cuts how do you think how do you think so many big American companies gave away they talk about China stealing their technology no they just basically said to the market you want to do business in China you've got to share with those your technology okay please don't be offended okay yes I'll do that right away here let me give it to you on a silver platter let me tell you our trade secrets because I don't want to offend you in any way shape or form that's how China got a head is because they brow beat our would see American CEOs and the NBA is demonstrating the latest example of it shame on them so why are they I don't know where this is going to go I wish somebody would say tough you know one of you don't want to carry the Houston Rockets games no sweat off our brow do what you have to but were begging for their forgiveness because of a pro freedom tweet I don't like it what are like around like it eight five five two nine five sixty six hundred so if you think that are foreign trade with China is somehow magically going to get better all jet China knows exactly what to do they just hike their skirt up a little bit sorry used the phrase N. N. are American executives go running over there what can we do what can we do what can we do to to make you happy I know you have a billion people's up so we're we're we're we'll do whatever you want that I do that China knows exactly how to deal with us it has nothing to do with trade negotiations back I would be a bit surprised if China doesn't did have on some of the negotiations knowing that it won't mean a thing they can do whatever they want they can get American companies to jump through hoops do what ever they need to have them do because American companies are so almighty about the the the Chinese business the Chinese population and of course the almighty dollar so the negotiations with China date on Thursday I I can't imagine they're going to get much done Wall Street journal as a story today China is buying soybeans again yeah the recently made some of their biggest purchases of US soybeans and other agricultural products in more than a year and what they're doing is they're trying to shine on the American farmer they're trying to shine on the government negotiators in Washington the guy who's the chief executive of the US soybean export council says soybeans are a barometer for how the whole thing is going I think we're just now building momentum up yeah they'll buy some more stuff though by some more soybeans by a few other agricultural products but that's **** to them what they want is they want our technology our intellectual properties they don't have a we do they want them they will get them and the way they'll do it is they'll dangle a few contracts for our farmers and say see you want to sell as a more soybeans you got to play the game you move your operations over here to China of course we're going to have access to your technology so they're buying some more at the peak of two thousand seventeen China was buying fifteen billion dollars a year soybeans and they just purchased one and a half billion of total agricultural products so it's not it's no where near what it was but that's that's what they're doing it's all it's painfully obvious gosh I don't know why this NBA things bother me so much because it's not just the NBA it's all the other companies that are doing business in China have fallen into the same trap eight five five two nine five sixty six under your phone calls coming up next.

bought three officials involved in a crucial mistake late in the game between France and let the wind yet and this old before Greece said it was filing an official protest against the officials in that last match they needed to beat the Czech Republic by twelve points to progress to the quarter finals they won by seven and the NBA's MVP Janice on to compile was controversially found out of that match consider legal messy getting a red card for Argentina role so after rugby union stop crying about it back in his prime being sent off for the last sixteen of a World Cup it's that kind of thing let's go live to Shanghai and the athletics Joe Vardon festival Joe I mean all the grease team rights to be angry at this man it it was a terrible call and I I don't I don't know how to be any better about it is there there is actually no way that that that was anything other than a block. king sal it would be a blocking out any night in the NBA but also in in in in international play as well the defender was not anywhere close to in front of of Yanis he was moving he was off to the side and Yanis went straight up towards the ram which is what how you're supposed to do that kind of play I I charge would have been if you dip the shoulder into the defender which anybody can seat he just didn't do right they're just a bad call straight up. well yes that that was one of four matches on Monday of calls which have completed these quarterfinals and in a few hours time we have the first of those Argentina buses Serbia spying against Poland how many of those sides impressed you enough this tournament. so I I mean to to be clear it's it's hard to follow them all I'm here with team USA that's my assignment and they play roughly at the same time there's like a France or in Australia or Spain but the Americans play France next in don't want and it's gonna be great I got to tell you that France the way they're set up with who they have on their team yeah is is is the kind of squad that is capable of beating the Americans they they have the right requisite of shooters defenders ball handlers and you know the Americans are gonna have to play well to win that game one of the US I oversee favorites two time reigning champions coming into this and if you think France can beat them our I mean it is your all USA in no uncertain sis for the title with the likes of potentially Serbia or a spine in the final as well. yeah I I mean sure they the Americans took care of of Spain pretty handily in exhibition play in August and and Los Angeles maybe or maybe was Vegas I don't remember at this point but you would have what the world needs to realize if you're not following along is that this team the Americans don't they don't have lebron James they don't have a Steph curry Kobe Bryant Kevin Durant like the names that has won every gold medal and World Cup for the last fifteen years or whatever it is those kinds of players are not here yes they are all NBA players they're good players but they're almost all role players which makes them susceptible to other teams with cut from countries where they have multiple NBA players themselves who are also role players juggle ended that but thank you so much for joining us I will I'm sure will catch up with you off to U. S. I've played that court's final on Wednesday that's Joe fallen off the athletic life from China I spent many a happy out my Spanish some holiday watching Ricky Rubio play weighing credible Spanish basketball he actually plays from American say but wow what a talent yeah as a as always the top plans wherever you come from if you want to play the top level you go to the U. S. just like Yanis who took offense us and we will update you on that without a set throughout the program not remember this entertaining interview on you stay with the great Nigerian rights away so you can cut we don't stand for his perspective on brexit what the U. K. crisis looked like to him we just went through an experience similar to this in my own state when the government you live actually he locked up the parliament are locked out democratically elected representatives for four years simply because he wanted to pass a bill appropriation bill some kind of money for some project and for forty years. how was the problems are news locked up and we would set up a town hall meetings to protest and he came and broke up the meetings this just about a few years ago this is interesting. we here in British politicians at the moment when when the idea of parochial suspending parliament came up to a Pentium opposition MPs who was saying this is a disgrace we will set up our own our own town hold our own talking shop so it's interesting you'll seeing echo of of kind of well sort of known democratic procedure you would say yes absolutely by reading you stop the subject here because I know what I felt as a citizen you know a civil trial in my own clothes to dry and weightless which I think it leads to I mean do you see parallels you see this is a slippery slope for Britain I believe so and I single so some old members the caramel whirls should sit up and take notice and examine the cortical sober brokerages village about suspicions and see whether Britain suspension from the call well or something about example being democratic practice war well she and cassette Mukasa monks of pigeons while the British prime minister former Tony Blair has responded to that comment in an interview with the B. B. C.'s Georgian Durango in Ghana yeah but but we'll stay whatever happens with bags of Britain will stay part of the Commonwealth we and you know very attached to the Commonwealth we believe it's an important part of our. foreign policy partnerships to be attached the Commonwealth and no I think any attempt to mess around with Britain and the Commonwealth will meet a pretty United response from the program exit and the anti brags that people. this is just a very difficult issue for Britain because. there's a profound.

I thought that those kids must have just ate it up yeah and and it looks like Lebron can really play that does yeah. What does he does He? I was reading some stuff from Scott's there. They say they need to seem more before they think he's a legit and yeah he's fourteen yeah so you know he needs to to play more but I he looks like he's having fun and <hes> he you know the Brown said on his show the shop that if he it was given a do over as a parent and every parent runs these things to their head like if I could do something different what would it be and what Lebron said was he goes. I don't think would've given my son my name right. That's Last night actually kind of cool in the Blue Jays game. They had Vlad Guerrero junior okay. They had Kevin Bid Gio yeah. It's it's happened yet cabin Kavin an and they had Boba Shet Yep and Boba Shat got his first base at last space it in the big leagues last night yeah there there are so many second-generation star Fernando Tateishi Juniors another guy who is who is having a great year. WHO's the Stransky key kid is a twenty eight year old rookie for giant and he's I think he is either grandson Carl Yastrzemski yeah yeah most people thought he'd never make the major leagues and is actually stuck? He's been really good yeah. You got there so many second-generation stars. You've Kinda got an advantage because you're not off awed by the whole thing because your dad played and chances. Are you around the team and so it's not well. We've seen we've seen aided along. Where do you see this more than any other? Sport is the N._B._A.. Oh Yeah Klay Thompson Steph Curry Kobe Bryant Yup you know so it's happening more in baseball like the best example of baseball's Ken Griffey junior but now like you said three on one team yeah so you're right. If you're around batting cages in your you know around it all the the time then then I think it almost becomes osmosis yeah like if you think about the fact that clay and Steph went both went to small schools rules Steph Davidson Klay went to Washington State Yup and they're the most elite back court you know. I was thinking about that today that <hes> C._J.. mccollum column got a big extension. Do you even know where C._J.. mccollum went to college. No you've heard of it. My uncle went there greg. Do you know where C._J.. mccollum went to college college. It was like weaver state or no. That's where Damian Lillard went to college St. No Damian Lillard went to Weber State and and C._J.. mccollum call him what you even smaller school. It's in Pennsylvania. It's in the Patriot league Iraq. It's called Li. Hi Lee Lee tied Allentown Yep. So that's the you you about those are great stories so you have a backward. The most successful back court is Davidson and Washington's Day and then now you will be high and weaver state and for those guys getting paid. Those are great stories that somebody missed on those guys. A lot of schools guest on were all first round picks have four of them but no no one in the top five Steph was seven clay was eleven. Oh I think dame was notre. Dame was six yeah C.. J. was like twenty twenty eight or thirty once they were there scattered right yeah and now they've just turned themselves in just goes to show you man you can you can get there from anywhere. I always hear people. I'll say it like you went through this. I know you got into an Ivy League school and you weren't able to go and watch though yeah it doesn't matter you can get to where you wanna go from anywhere. "So K D was playing within the system, but just a mismatch is were to glaring for him not to take advantage of them. I think from game three on he's been on that tear. Lebron doesn't factor into his his mindset. I think right now we're factors in is. He looks like a guy who's already depart, but wants to make sure that the narrative isn't that I left and played with one foot out the door. So what is he doing? He's giving them all to buck. He's giving them all the VP performances. So when he leaves no one can ever say that he shortchanged him in that process. I love all the sinister underlying reasons that maybe dis just on one. Ultimately the way he's playing and yes, if the warriors are going to concede to that. Of course, they are. Because what he's getting his getting it so easily that how can you turn away from that? And I think that's been the case from the very beginning. I believe that Draymond green recruited him understanding that as good as Steph is we might need a little bit more. And if we can go get a guy who can get his anytime he wants without being challenged. I mean, you watch him right now, he can't even see the defensive player in his screen when he's rising up shoot. Steph has to work really hard. To get what he gets especially once you get to the playoffs, and you can gain plan for him. So I don't believe it's like Katie trying to XM out or that. He's he's basically hijacking. The warriors. I think warriors look at him and say I'm in nothing amid nothing sinister the guys do. He's the best player in the world right now. He's showing that there's no sinister too. But it just doesn't work for Steph. Curry Kobe told me something one time when we were teammates. And I think this is a similar zone that Katie is in Kobe said he never looks at his defender. He keeps one eye on the second guy. But he's always watching that third defender because he knows that's how much attention he draws. So I think that's zone that Katie is in right now Katie knows it there's not a person on the planet could stop them. There's probably not two people at once. They can stop him. So he's in his own. And I think with him be more aggressive is just the maybe two or three shots more the Steffes not getting but at the same time, I think, you know, Steph not playing that bad. You know, he's had a couple of bad games. But he's still everything what twenty two twenty three points again. Shoot. He's not as the fish int-. You know what I mean? But you saw the stuff I get that when clutch top you know, what else wide. Open miss dunking happened. Just the season. We're we're Klay within a slump and only took one shop for him to have sixty. You know what I mean? So Steph similar play. He's one shot away from getting hot. And if your banking on Steph continued to play bad for your hopes to win the series. It's not a good bet. This is what troubles me about the assessment of Steph is that it's always at the offense of end. And it's the pure numbers. I would all terrible. No, I would disagree with that last. He, but he has been put on an island consistently guys one on one or going to get beat. It's a matter whether you stay beat and how hard you make that guy worked to go by you. He has done an admirable job especially for him in this series. And when you're working that hard at the defensive and they're constantly targeting. You that's going to affect you. With the other end. That's a great pool. That's also of the mindset that look katie's got going on. I'm I have a problem with that. So he is going to concede there when you can see I've never seen somebody concede. You could see in shot attempts. Once you shoot your shot..

"Then the Trail Blazers and nuggets big one out west. Welcome back. I mean, Mark still in the house Giordano in for Rachel Nichols. The Lakers finally convinced LeBron to shut it down for the rest of the season. If you're dealing with a groin injury since Christmas, Luke, Walton said one of those things where the medical staff just finally said, look, it's just not worth it. Any more me was this the right time to make that call. It's not worth it any point in the last three weeks or it was worth it. I mean, that's my thing. Like, I I only believe that this is a legitimate injury. And it has hampered him and went injuries are notorious to not get better as you continue to play on it with the Lakers were even if it wasn't mathematically. We kinda figured that. They lost to the sons or the brunt. Inbounded the ball of the backboard it was a rap on that day. And the only reason I can think of a plane him in this condition is because you're worried about backlash from the league perception the perception of shutting down a healthy player. Well, then nothing you got to keep him. Mind with him. Like, this is good for the Lakers. But for fans this horrible, you got people. He's iconic right? Steph curry Kobe Bryant, and Michael Jordan, LeBron these are guys where people actually fly in from all over the world to see him play. Somebody bought a ticket in April just to see him play cousins from Saint Louis about a plane December, and you just I feel bad for those people. Yeah. Because he's somebody may just see once in a lifetime unless you live in SAP. So that that's the bad part that comes from it. Let me ask you guys a bigger picture question. And look there may not be an answer to this. But if you look at the Lakers here over the last five six seven years, and I know there's been multiple training staffs in that time. There seems to be an issue. We've been talking about this Matic issues. Right. There's an issue here with keeping Lakers players healthy over the last several years. I'm not saying that that's the reason that LeBron hurt. There's a lot of this is different dude. He got his own people. No, I agree. But he just happened to be there in case. Maybe somebody can you look at Lonzo can't stay healthy for two years ago. Right. Lebron the situation with Brandon Ingram all these are things. Right. Like that have happened. Go back to the Dwight Howard year. Komi? Royal is a lot of stuff here over the I'll tell you look LeBron's different dude. You put that in a different categories nothing to do with this. And also, I would say Brandon Ingram because that's a medical condition about blood cloudy, and that's different issue that you're right. There's a lot of and you know, where all starts the lockout when they let go of all of their staff. Alex McKinney was he's a world renown maybe best in the league does. And so they look all those guys that could save payroll Monday other trainers the bulls now old trying to well. And that's that's. Discussion we had if you look at their injury history since the lockout since you. And I've talked about this on the radio show right about if you're the Lakers. And I think Mark you, and I've had the same discussion you're the crown jewel of the NBA. There should be no reason that you should be cutting corners on anything because the one area. You're not capped is support staff for an office things of that nature. And what are they rank as far as spending money that? Amen. I said if you look at all the owners in the NBA and look about okay, where is the mo- majority of money tied up legs hood. That's a mom and pop operation. It is a mom and pop up even still TV deal. At the end of the day. That's their money. That's the bus money. And it's not like there's huge revenue. Streams coming from other things for them. Their main moneymaker is the Los Angeles Lakers. But to the point on LeBron I understand why. Now, they're just LeBron wanted to try to play as many games as possible. But they're just telling him it's not in your best interest..
