"Ecommerce giant announced that it would buy electric delivery vans from rival Stellantis as well Rivian and Amazon say look they're partnership It's unchanged And we know EVs are called big theme over at CES this year but here's a twist you might not have thought of Tiny EVs Canadian company electromechanical is showcasing some of its three wheeled EVs in Las Vegas right now But can it make it can it compete with the likes of Tesla and rivian and this increasingly crowded market Well man is going to tell us all CEO Kevin pavlovs with us And talk to us about the desire the need the one for smaller electric vehicles right now Absolutely Thanks Caroline Yeah the idea of this vehicle was it's a purpose built vehicle for an individual Everything you would do individually And what makes it really special is the idea that it's not an EV that a lot of those are coming out because the market loves them But it's a really efficient and fun to drive EV It's centered around one person It's a quarter of the cabin space of a four passenger vehicle The heat's fast it cools fast It's a quarter of the battery size so it charges fast And you get all the same range and mileage It's just a really well built vehicle for the purpose of urban mobility challenges and actually we're finding quite a bit of great solutions for last mile delivery small parcel things like that Why not motorbike Well this is a fully enclosed cabin We made a niche right between micro mobility which are motorbikes and scooters And cars And part of this it's classified as a motorcycle It does classify there by you have power windows power brakes You get in eating cooling air conditioning Heated seat back up cameras So it's everything you could expect from a vehicle Highway speeds 80 miles an hour a hundred miles of range It just gives you a lot more flexibility in all kinds of weather That you might not get out of a two wheel vehicle And then it gives you all the efficiencies that you would get on before wheel So how many have been delivered today We've got over 60 vehicles that we've delivered to consumers and fleets We're continuing to ramp up production Yeah we started in October 4th where we had our inaugural last year And we just keep ramping up And talk to us about the manufacturing goals therefore Absolutely So we currently produce out of China with our partners And industrial And what we've done is there's about 20,000 units of capacity but as you know the market is tough but supply chain issues chip shortages logistics So we've actually put a plant in the U.S. to service the U.S. So now we've increased our capacity doubled and more room for more expansion But the whole idea is to really give start out on the West Coast California and 5 states go north and go east so that we can make sure we proliferate and give people what they're really looking for Right tool for the right job So making in China Canadian company but your focus point is America thus far West Coast than east coast Who else is by all those 60 deliveries been to American buyers Yeah.

"Welcome back to fast money. We've got a trader triple play, and the auto space first up Stellantis revving up after the company said it plans to generate more than $22 billion and new software revenue by 2030. Ford also upping his game on the software front, that company partnering with Salesforce to launch a new subscription software business for its commercial fleet shares higher by 4%. Meanwhile, more drama for Elon Musk, Elon Musk slamming President Biden's plan to provide tax incentives for electric vehicles as part of his build back better plan. The Tesla CEO saying quote, honestly, I would just can this old Bill. Don't pass it. That's my recommendation. So lots of news in the outer space Karen. Trader's choice. Any of those headlines stick out to you? Yeah, I felt a few. They were similar. Stellantis, let's just go with that one. That talk of trying to get to 23 billion of software basically subscription as a service from revenue by 2030. I mean, if there is really a land grab now, it's not just EV. It's a land grab to own the interface of the car. The intelligence of the car, the feedback of the car and how the driver I don't even know about have drivers then, but how the passengers will use the car. That kind of revenue, converting that into subscription as a service and getting that kind of multiple, that would be enormous. If you look at Ford or GM, the trades at a high single digit multiple to get some kind of SaaS multiple in the 20s or mid 20s. That would be tremendous. I mean, that's a gigantic leap from here. So, you know, GM is my auto bet and it's these sort of near the highs, but still that P E multiple is just ridiculously cheap. Anything to move it would be nice. Tim, what about you? Which of these headlines stick out to you? I'll jump with Ford just because I'll extend what Karen said, first of all, the F one 50 has always been an office on wheels for a good portion of the small business community in this country. It's the most popular vehicle. The software that will now allow them to do paperwork and digitize a lot of their on the field work, but at a $39 a month price tag with some interactivity is to me just the kind of thing that should rewrite the stock on top of EV ambition, but maybe more importantly, even if it didn't have any of this, this is a company that's largely as profitable as it's been in decades. In other words, they've eradicated bad businesses. They've streamlined a lot of processes. They've certainly dropped regions that were not making money in forward it. 9.2 times earnings is the story, but today's announcement is about a company that's trying to strive for being more involved in their consumer's life and they're doing it. Nadine does mister Musk's headlines have any interest for you. I know obviously we pick up on almost every word he says. I don't know if it makes any difference. If you want to look at Tesla stock or not, but hey, it's a fun talker. Yeah, I mean, a little surprise there. We've been long VW in Porsche, so we're going more overseas in the auto area. But on days like today, hate to sound like a broken record, Porsche is up over 8%. Those are the kind of days that you're given a gift. People are really excited about things. Market bounce back. Take a little off the table. That's what we did. So then you can wait for a better entry price. So I love we've been long the structural theme, we think it has legs for the intermediate term, but it doesn't mean that you have to run an buy on a day like today. So we would just caution for investors, you can go along the theme, just pick your entry price, get it a better price. Well, we're just getting.

"I think it's gary patterson's driving the gt five hundred. And then. I forgot the woman's name. Her name is shelby and she's a racing driver shelby hall right. She's a professional racecar driver. She's in the bronco and they do this fun. Little bit of who's going to win on track so there at this closed course racing track like a like a club track. Gt five hundred hauling ass around the the bronco takes off. It's doing well and then of course. She just cuts into the grass and cuts three corners out of the thing and then gets in front of the shelby and then he passes and then she goes a little off roading again which is fun and then actually crosses the finish line just before the gt five hundred and then they get out of the car and then they said You know maybe shelby should do this. You know something along the lines of that and that's kind of the punchline to it and it's basically implying hey shelby could be planning on doing a version of the bronco which could be interesting. I say guys have shelby. I'm all for it. Make a bad ass off road or make your version of the raptor or the wart hog. That's coming out shelby a fight all you want. Maybe just don't do the hood. That's on the truck. I would prefer not to do the hood but that aside. These guys do a good job from everything that i've seen. By the way the shelby trucks out sell the shelby mustangs by a significant martin to to watch just people are super into the trucks right now super into the trucks. So i don't know we'll we'll see what their what their thought is on that. So we've got to cut things a little bit short ted day. I want to say and the next couple of weeks. I don't think next week but maybe the week after there's going to be some drag racing going on out here in california so our friends from jags are going to be stopping by. And i believe they're going to join us in the studio. So we're gonna be talking to jags and find out what's going on in the drag racing world jag junior. I believe has retired from pro stock and troy coughlin. Jed coughlin troy coughlin taking the seats. And he's the nice young man who's carrying the torch for the jags drag race. I think he's doing very well. Spent groomed for a while to take that position. So it'll be nice to have troy so we've talked to a few times now. We'll i believe we're going to be talking to troy. We'll see what's going on there. And then i believe the week after that so two weeks from now. We're gonna be talking to jags and then the week after that. We're talking to our buddy. Mike back nola at sima. We're only get the lowdown on what's going on with the c. Michelle what's going on with sima garage. What's going on with with everything in the world. Start writing down my questions right now. Yeah and in the aftermarket world. Because it's been doing very well. I want to get some insight. Tell nat so that'll be an interesting conversation as well. Next time we step foot cements like a completely different place. It's gonna look like a completely different player. We'll get more details. But i was told the walkways. You're going to be wider thing. Expanded that west hall. It's gonna be it's gonna be interesting for sure. There's a big overlending off section out back that they're going to be doing it's going to be. It's going to be kind of cool. And then i don't know like are how much i've of course the bronco is going to be everywhere and broncos sport because that's the hot new vehicle right now but as we start getting into. Ev like what's going on with the product. That's exactly what i meant. It's gonna look like old league different place than the seem we were. Yeah i definitely over the next few years as everybody starting to announce mustang mach e is out and being delivered. So that's something that could show up. We could start to see like we mentioned like jeep before e by in the next two three years. Sima shows you know. How do they embrace. Ev muscle cars. This easter enemy interesting So give us a follower goldberg goldberg garage on twitter. And he's gobert nine five goldberg's garage on instagram Follow him out. He's got the got. Is the all electric volkswagen. and i. i've got some thoughts on it. It's kind of a new vehicle. I think i have something. That's a little pre production. So i wanna work through a couple of little tiny issues of this car before we get into it so maybe we'll have it next week and So we should probably have alastair come back in at some point as well too. And i'm sure he's going to have thoughts on this as we lean into the world. So maybe we'll try to line that up as well so guys. Thank you so much car cash. Oh dot com is the website. "Car. Cast for five dollars off your spectator ticket. It's good guys. Dot com promo code car cast so check that out. These are good. events are fun events. I'm going to get back to the del mar one. That was always a big. I think always is it pledged to go through when they still had an auction. Yeah well it'll be. It'll be fun to check those out so you guys want to do that so i don't know if you saw this other teaser. Video but there are some shelby. American friends out of las vegas. They announced recently there. That are truck that are big shelby truck so if you want something other than a raptor you can get the shelby truck now. What they're doing with the shelby truck. I've toured the factory and their build. Quality is good. It's an amazing facility. I just can't get behind this. Could i just don't love the hood. That's the big snorkel hood. And honestly i don't know that i need a full-size f-series pickup truck with With the shelby stripes on it just looks a little off putting that being said it's merely cosmetic you can do whatever you want They have a bad ass truck that they announce it is not inexpensive. I'll tell you that but it's it has. It has the big suspension package on it. If you want the the faulk shocks with the internal bypassing and of course that interior upgrade the two-tone shelby seats leather branded logos everywhere. It's got kind of a body kit going on to dress it up cosmetically and of course the hood but you can get the optional super charger. It looks like they've got the whipple superstars that would go the five liter v eight. I think the five leader. It's the five liter base. It's like three eighty nine horsepower. But for twenty twenty one if you get. He get this truck with the superstar. It's seven hundred and seventy five horsepower. Right so if the if you love the rapper raptor but the power. Just not doing it for you. You can go to the shelby and get the seven hundred seventy five horse. That's i don't think different. Same buyer. I as i've seen that truck in person dot the new iteration. I don't think that's the same buyer. I really don't. It's a different truck. it's more of a. It's more of a of a of a show piece to drive around through parade you know. That's that's fully capable of going one hundred miles an hour of her. Let me ask you. Is it because the price gets relief. Expensive this point considering the process. I'm not even considering the you just think the shelby truck is more of a collector. Piece more of a showpiece in it is an offroad. 'cause i think aesthetically it looks more. It doesn't look like a utilitarian. Bad ass off road vehicle. The raptor goes and i think that attracts certain group of buyers whether they be in la driving around or those. Are the people right there battle but that will get this truck. I i get it. So i certainly to your point the guys over here that we work with over at at galloping they're super into raptors general manager tommy's good friend he's got his raptor and he's out every weekend either going off road and with his with his young son or he's got a group of people or a bunch of clients that want to go off roading and not just the over landing but like going off roading some of the highest speed stuff that they do yes. They do a lot of modifications to those trucks to make them purpose built adding certain lights and things like that they've done to the truck and and bumpers for more clearance so me it's not as me. I see it pulling a raptor on a on a trailer out of the glass. Yeah it's just. The shelby is sort of a turn key. Get it that way. Version of the truck knocking up. It's more like a lincoln What what what's the or the black label. yeah me. it's more like that. I agree so if you want the turnkey solution. The shelby truck of fits the bill. But if you are going to start changing bumpers and adding all the lights and all this other stuff and the the raptors much more of a jumping off point to be able to so much more of an aggressive looking vehicle also. Yeah once you compare that two. I went in as i told you a about ordering a gauges bronco and the guy tried to sell me. That show be truck. And i drove it up in. Trx which is more expensive than michelle redraw in kids comparible in many ways. But it's a completely different looking vehicle. Yeah it is slightly different in. The price is about the same. But it's it's it's for a different person either. Well the price and about the same anymore because the shelby truck with the v. Eight one hundred and seven thousand dollars and with the super charger. It's just under one hundred and fifteen thousand dollars but once a bit more but you are but you are going to shelby to purchase the entire package like like you said is like i like to track. Its biggest bad ass. It's powerful. i don't really know who is going to spend a hundred and seven thousand dollars on the naturally aspirated version when for an extra seven grand for one hundred. I like if you're already spending that kind of money anyway. Just getting with the superchargers way. More fun i rather say. Take the hood off. Keep the stock market leads on of the bmw right so they announced that truck. And then they release this teaser video and it's kind of a fun little video where called shelby versus shelby steele. You see the shelby. Gt five hundred. Pull up to the starting line of race track and then come up from behind it next to it is the new bronco and I think it's gary patterson's driving the gt five hundred. And then. I forgot the woman's name. Her name is shelby.

"Will have their ram fifteen hundred. Ev on the market. Pretty soon i don't know if they're going to beat gm to market with this. Of course the the chip shortages and everything else kind of throw a wrench in everything all you can do his plan. And and and do whatever by yes and all. Electric ram is on the way as well and you know like the truck markets there are so many variations of it trim models of trucks. These days that you're going to get whatever you're gonna get diesels on some brands and you're going to get eight cylinders gonna get four six cylinders hybrids and. Ev's you're going to be able to pick whatever you want. So if ford was any indication as to what their lineup is going to be including the ev model a ram and gm. Or i'm sure to follow. The ram is definitely doing well and catching a lot of attention because it has a great interior. Now that infotainment screen. The big screen is pretty cool. Lush plus yeah from there. I think there will be something on the chrysler end. Not exactly sure. But probably based off of that s t l. A platform that the dodge muscle cars will beyond. This'll be just more of the consumer focused Chrysler vehicles and then around the world. They'll have their opel brand. Fiat is which is part of their brand as well. They wanna do a naboth fiat. Five hundred x barth in ev version. So a hot version of of there. I could see that. Yeah that would be kind of a cool because now it's kind of like kind of a bad ass little go cart at this point right. That can be kind of fun. I remember you did a thing. i don't remember if it aired of it's like a tv show or some maybe was a smart car was the birth of smarter. We're nason car. Hours of his auditioned for top gear. You tried to flip it. Tried to just put in the anti roll device the year before. So i've been. Yeah i ve around the track and you're like might as well try to flip this thing and see what happens around every corner. I i was looking for such a wonderful experience in that. That wraps yeah and it was so anticlimactic. I think Yeah anyway i would have been. It would have been interesting. It would have been funny to see that. But i wasn't sure if i was the smart car that or the fiat but but a letter all electric lavar th would be bad ass. I'd still be worried about being hit by anything. Anything smart exactly anything other than a smart car for sure anyways so speaking of chips ford has announced that they've secure supply of of microchips. Of course these are going to their f series trucks. It makes the most sense first of all. It's their best selling truck and our most profitable truck so one. There's more of a waiting list for for f. One fifties or any of the instructs than anything else. So they wanna get these chips into those trucks and have those trucks get out to customers but also those trucks are the most profitable so the financial hit. The companies have been taking is rough so anybody. That's getting chips in. There's going to be some allocation to the other cars but for the most part they're trying to get it into their trucks because that's the biggest demand right now so It's nice to see that ford does have that Going so if you were looking for an f. One fifty and ordered something new. That should be starting to happen pretty soon. Which is good so you guys can start to get get that. I don't know i haven't heard anything on the mustang mach one. I ordered the mach one. They said i was going to be going to keep surveys. happy man. yeah we supposed to be built and the week of may twenty first and it takes about a month to show up in california and here. We are on what fourteenth fifteenth and. I don't know like if a week from now they could say. Hey it never happened or they could say the concern. But i don't really know. I've actually reached out to the guy afford a couple times. I'm sure he's overwhelmed with everybody going. What's going on hear from you. I've tried different. I'm not trying to be a pain in the ass about it. But i am a little curious and i don't know i guess we'll we'll see. Let me tell you guys about our good guy shoko guys. Rod and customer association has come into puyallup washington. It's the thirty third griots garage pacific northwest nationals at the washington state fair events center. It's july twenty third through the twenty fifth. There's going to be over twenty five hundred classic cars and trucks on display. There's gonna be a burnout competition and vintage dragster racing which i do like this isn't just the the firing up. I think they're going to get him on the track and do a little racing out there. It's going to be. It's going to be fun for the whole family. Bring the kids out. There is live entertainment. It's the pin striper brush bash. Which is great. I've seen those guys kind of go at it live in real time. Come up with some really tough. There was a model car display. And there's a can't write kurtzer let alone. Students have to be so so steady with their hand right. I can't even break hurts. I go to this event in syracuse new york and there's a big charity event section going on with the pin stripers and they all have just like random sheets of of like pieces of sheet metal. Some of them are like a hood or something and some of them are just pieces and throughout the weekend. They're just doing a bunch of stuff like just making and painting and airbrushing and then at the end of the event they all go up to like a little live auction charity. And it's all just kind of on or you can go to one of the guys and say i'll just i'll just commission it right now. I have an idea. can you do this. I'll donate the money to charity. You tell me what it what it costs and then and they and there's a bunch of guys in like a like a chorale real time. It's pretty cool to see i would think that's that's becoming a lost art to right. Yeah it is it is. We were talking about it on some of the racing cars over here where the guys would paint up the racing cars. The cars the sharp cars and then the guy would come in and free hand with a brush. Like the numbers. I'm sure it wasn't easy for marcus to get the guy two to three hand. The law man. Yeah yeah it's tough to do. So sean over here. He's not a free hand pinstripe or but he wanted the brush look so the way he ended up doing it was he made a stencil which has the outline and then he brushed in the stencil right so it had the hard edges and it has a brush. Textured look and then he you know clear coated and stuff over it and around it probably would have been easier to just have one of the lost artist guys come in with a brush but it was see that so anyway to finish this up giant swap meet and.

"That goes without saying. That's quite obvious. Yes they come up with a tricky way of wording. Yeah i i like this strategy. It'll be interesting to see what they're they're going to be doing with this. But basically what they're saying is they've got four electric platform sort of overall. And they're going to be able to then being modular come up with a number of cars. Suv's trucks and so forth based off of these these four platforms. Dodge is going to be doing what they call the t. l. a large platform. It will be the world's first electric muscle car coming in twenty twenty four. I assume this is going to be a charger of some sort rather than a challenger because the charger a couple of things it is the big selling one by about two to one And and my mind. I'm just kind of thinking the non high-performance version of the car sort of the longer range. Everyone does like when they do their mustang mach e and everybody else in like in tesla. Like hey. Here's the long range. Whatever two wheel drive three hundred mile range and then here's the higher performance two hundred and thirty mile range. And here's the right and so the charger platform being a on allows them to say. Hey here's the three hundred three hundred twenty mile last performance longer range today on or right. And then here's here's the hotter version the rt or whatever they wanna call it a version of it not to mention the longer wheelbase of that all-wheel-drive yes all wheel drive as well either standard or as an option depending on the model and the longer wheelbase will allow a little bit bigger battery. Pack right. we saw this with the new hummer ev. The the hummer four door pickup truck version is actually bigger and longer than the suv version. And it was just a direct function of the size of the chassis. Is the be an battery size right. So bigger truck more battery longer range so pickup truck version of the hummer has more range than the suv version. Both are good but when it comes down to it that's literally just what list just fit more than the other one so okay. So dodgers saying electric muscle car. They weren't exactly clear. If it's all ev or some hybrid or what. But they. they are saying they would like to hit zero to sixty times as low as two seconds and range as high as five hundred miles now again to the point we just made. You're not going to get both. You're not gonna get zero to sixty in two seconds and five hundred mile range. There will be a five hundred mile range version and then there will be fast version with a two hundred and eighty or three hundred mile range. They've got some some some good goals their listen. I wouldn't put it past them to have both in one by twenty twenty side right look at the mustang cobra jet the all electric fourteen hundred run that things out there running eight in the quarter mile and because we've seen cars like the demon a drag race specific car. Come from from dodge. It does stand to reason to to see a variant like. Hey let's do an all electric demon and and of course just opens the door for a whole new way of them. Feeling void of the hell chat going away right and i got the choose. My words differently. How cat engine is that right. 'cause they could call it a hell cat. They just you know when we get into the branding of things. There's so much branding behind. Hell cats so much. Branding behind hammy that the yeah right. And the emblem going wretched. Like look what porsches don porsche uses the turbo name on their high performance variants regardless if it has a terrible or not even using on the tycoon. Right so using things like hemi and hell cat could could stand right anyway. So that's on the dodge brand. I'm sure there's going to be other things a little less exciting but more profitable dodge caravans things like that. The the minivan and stuff do electric versions. That have after satiate. All you know occur. Twenty eight twenty three or twenty twenty five or you know the evolution of the combustible amount of the combustible engine. They have to satiate all these people who are at these hell cats so they're finding a different way of doing. Hopefully that's sure what it looked like in the presentation. I mean i got excited. You know and by the electric car guests. But you know it's no tim and to know the s rt guys in the know what they're capable of. I guarantee you it's going to be awesome. Whatever it is. So on the on the jeep lineup. They have what's called the four x e. and the four x e is. There are four wheel drive hybrid lineup. We know that there was a jeep for on the way and it was a plug in hybrid. And we even did a couple of teasers of sort of the all electric jeep the forex sitting up on top of the mountain. Whatever so that four x t platform we can expect to be of course the jeep wrangler a jeep compass jeep wagoneer. Which is already been announced. So that's the lineup of of gps when it comes to electrification it looks like they're going more of the hybrid model and i'm sure some of it is packaging and some of it is a range anxiety if you wanna go off roading in your jeep. Having a plug in hybrid. Get your your fuel efficiency. Gets you the quiet modes but also you fill it up with fuel and go off road for longer. You know whatever like that. That's the whole point of course Ford announced f. one fifty lightning to great fanfare. Ram of course is saying they will have their ram fifteen hundred. Ev on the market. "In september mid september right. And we've got a little bit of time so hopefully we can get everything going. Maybe get the motorcycle registered. That heads goes on the docket up for auction in taxes. And then it's a little bit closer proximity so you can come out and we can say hi to everybody and have a drink with everybody and kind of figured out from from there. But it's at the energy center in houston i believe and it's supposed to be a nice facility. It's supposed to be bigger by about one hundred thousand square feet. Then the vegas won the vegas one was was big by vegas vegas thirty. Five thousand people showed up it. Did it did really well. And and i do want to thank everybody. That did come out to try vago you know. Our competitors in this space are very big white clawed truly visagie There's quite a few out there. And i i am happy to say that We were there and visit was there and we moved two and a half times more product than visit did which is fantastic. I appreciate that maybe people were just curious and wanted to try it or try the one flavor and come back and try the second and third flavor but i think overall people released seem to enjoy the product a little different little tastier so it was good. So there you go. So the meantime drink bravado dot com. You can sign up for the for the newsletter. And we'll keep you updated as events happened and the website launches and where we're going to ship to the you know the states you can get it in and stuff like that. We're also in this process of getting to bear jackson. Las vegas we are talking to a couple of distributors that will hopefully be able to put it in stores in in texas as well or certain areas of texas so working on on that but again most of these distributors say. Hey we want to do a deal with you. We'll sign a deal in september or whatever but they'll say but go ahead and sadness product in march and april so we can get ready for the spring and the summer so advised. Yeah that's all we can do. Between now and april of next year is make it available on the website and then try to sign as many distribution deals as possible. So when april comes around it will be in as many stores as we can get it. So that's that's the move. But i appreciate you guys following us and and supporting it. We will get product to you. Guys it takes takes a little bit of takes a little time. We were just talking off the air. A minute ago about conor mcgregor that incredible fight. He had this weekend broke his ankle but also the incredible portion of his whiskey company. You know his his whisky brand. It was called notorious irish whiskey and he announced it at a. Ufc fight like three years ago right. And he's like here's my is coming soon. It took a year from that first bottle that he announced to get onto shelves. That's the process is is about a year and that's with arguably a product he had already formulated work with somebody on to create. Just just i mean it takes eight to ten months to come up with your formulas and then it takes months almost a year to get all of your positioning made your marketing major brand ide- and start talking with distributors and get product add samples out like it's a big pain in the ass but i'm having fun with it okay. That was a smile on your face. I think i am having fun with it. So like i said drink vago dot com. And it's drink bre vago on all social media. We appreciate the follows by the way. If you guys follow was it helps because as we start to grow social media presence email lists than that gets the attention we can use that as part of our selling process for two distributors and things like that so all of that helps and we appreciate you guys all right so let me tell you guys about gyco. Quick then we'll get into some cool car news Do you own your home or rent your home. Well either way..

"Hello welcome the car. Cast math the motivator de andrea with bill goldberg. Oh how aria. I think two things are a little hectic on on the ranch getting south down it. Has the weather cleared. Have you started pouring that cement slab for the garage. No not yet delayed again for a week with. I don't know. I think in a forty eight hour period of time. We got seven and a half inches of rain. Oh yeah that's right so you know it's pretty narva but at least our grass looks good. Try to look at the redeeming quality of a negative like that. But it is that. I can tell you i can't tell you that. They they mentioned about bringing a saw out to cut through some of the rock to do a transfer the electrical plumbing. And i thought i thought you know bringing a saw. I didn't know specifically what kind of saw the retarded this thing. Looks like it came out of mad. Max it's gotta be fifteen feet high I don't know. I think they did the trench all the way down to being fifty. I don't know what's going on. But it all i can say. Everything is on the grand spectrum so things take time so yeah. I don't know i just picture. You're standing on your porch with a cup of coffee in the morning. About fifteen foot star goes saw going. How much data fucker cost. No they get things i can use it for. That's right what else are you gonna cut while you're there check out to the neighbors for a few minutes. Maula things are are happening over. There was nobody knows about this. I'll just interject this real quick. I do have a fairly hectic life but much. Just kick back to about four days ago. When we're an airbnb for gauges baseball. Game and i couldn't i couldn't sleep. I'm on the porch at six. Am and there's a drunk intruder comes right around solving right around the right on. I can't make this stuff i did. You have a conversation. Well now it sounds like you live out here like in venice where i can walk outside my apartment. And there's someone sleeping on my doorstep and unlike a rise in shiny it sounds keeps quite similar to that but we were staying in the middle of the country all of a sudden macura crash Shirt was fat guy hanging on the ground as saying that love is blind. I uttered a couple of words to him and gave him about ten seconds to leave the premise. And i just the fact that. I didn't have my camera would be in. I don't have any idea how that was the case but it was one of the funnier things happen. But that's just part. Of course we trailer them pal around and you know when the thing but doing that doing all right. You know we've got Things have been busy. Of course things have been busy with with vago our brand. They're just trying to get things trying to get things going and come up with a way to get product out to people. One chip shortage. Actually it kind of is to took shortage It's interesting because one of the issue is like you can't get aluminum cans and it's tough to make the product you know. All the other companies are of booked and yes the the manufacturers that make this stuff the kind of basically mixture ingredients together and put in cans for you. They're overwhelmed with all the other companies and yes because of a chip shortage. They can't stand new hardware because the canning machine which is a latronic does use chip and they can't get the chips for those machines so anybody. That's trying to expand their their production line. There are there are being told six months to get the hardware so yes chip shortages actually affecting us as well. We're trying to be realistic as to you. Know how to make the product to win to make the product when introduce it and we know it's it's a spring and summer product right and we're kind of getting into the tail end of summer in my head. We are because i'm looking at production dates of two three months way. And that's you know starts knocking on the door of fall more on the east coast than on the west coast. So the plan is and i won't spend too much time on this but the plan is we've found a partner that we can work with on our website which will allow us to sell the product online and ship it directly to you guys at home. I believe we can ship to twenty nine states. And there's this elaborate network of retailers and stuff on the back and to make it all happen smoothly legally and whatever. It's seamless to you guys on the front end but on the you know when you're shopping on the back end. It's a complex network of retailers. Make it happen. So i'm hoping end of august beginning of september. The website will be running and we will have some product being stocked in a warehouse that can be shipped out now. There's always rules when you're shipping alcohol. The shipping is expensive. Not just because of the weight because all the shipping carriers need extra money. Because it's booze and twenty one and over signature. So we'll do what we can to basically cover some of the shipping costs but the fact of the matter is is if you buy a six pack. It's expensive to ship on you. Start buying eighteen cans or a case twenty four cans even if you mix and match. That's fine it. It becomes much more affordable because the fees we cover like the twenty one and over signature and stop. It's per order per can so if you order twenty four cans. I'm covering that huge fee and then the shipping is. I can start to cover some of the cost of shipping. More so anyway. That's of that's the plan right now. Is we want you guys some product. I believe our plan is to try to do another live event where you can taste the product. Barry jackson and las vegas worked out for us. We're definitely trying to get into barrett. Jackson houston in september mid september right. And we've got a little bit of time so hopefully we can get everything going. Maybe get the motorcycle registered. That heads.

"I say one more thing. Fca real quick okay. Another moment in the dodge presentation was they had to come up with an animal to signify dodgers evolution. And what the true. And they said dodges a hammerhead shark. Because it's changing what. I clearly don't know much about sharks. This is true they put up a slide. It's like the hammerhead shark that has thrived at the top of the food chain. And it's like there's a bigger shark get. Obviously bigger shark exists. Their entire truck line is literally named after an animal. Ram is a different company. Now god so split dodge from ram and then ran is rams tagline is built to service sustainable planet great. I'm telling you this is. This is both the argument to forbid all mergers but also absolutely the argument for mergers to happen. Yeah because then you get giant clumsy hilarious companies amazing speaking of giant clumsy hilarious companies. At and t. has has joined t. Mobile and just giving up taking google's money and making entering messages the default for all android funds on its network. So you'll get you'll get end to end encryption which is also rolling out the whole thing so it's at least verizon and whoever else so yeah google has after what three or four years of trying to make. Our cs happen finally realized that it should just open the checkbook. I don't know this for a fact that we will just opened a checkbook. But i strongly suspect and i'm very happy that we're no longer waiting for these carriers so like former little coalition company and come up with their own text messaging app so now that all most android phones and pretty soon all android phones especially in the. Us are going to be using our cs by default. I said it before. I'll say it again. Apple it's time. Yeah this is funny because after the entire first conversation like it's a good thing google's opening a checkbook enforcement carry astute at once. Yeah i know right the whole vibe. I'm torn at. I think. I think these problems are really hard and i. I don't know maybe pixel phones or any good. This would speed different right. Like maybe if google had a winner integrated phone that it controlled this antitrust case maybe understand why what. The deal is the pixel. I now know i've solved. I've been wondering why pixel for you know five years. Whatever how long it's been now. I know the pixel only exists. Just in case they decide they need to cut off. Samsung or samsung goes away. That's it they don't need it they don't want it to sell the just need to be able to make phones. They just need to sell a handful of them. Stay in the market and it's just there because nobody else. Conserve is a hedge for samsung. And so the pixel is there as a hedge for samsung. But it's in like pantry mode. It's not quite pantry mode pancevo. Does google makes a product and that doesn't release it. It's just there in case encasing competitor appears it's like open pantry mode. It's there and you can let go get it. But they're not really. They're not not trying. It's it's only they only have it so they somebody is at least pretending to be a credible competitor to samsung in android. Alway got cut off. There's a bunch of other. Chinese companies like one plus all of the the b. companies. Oppo the. show. Real me bob on the. There's a bunch of that but in the us Somebody so nobody's trying hard very hard right. Nobody's having much traction. So google just there just in case they ever need to ramp up they can. Yeah in the meantime they're like would you like to merge ties in with us like the thing that's there actually getting closer. Yeah okay. my last lightning round from me elon. Musk said self. Driving cars were harder problem than he originally thought. Yeah which to me is just very funny. Because i've how many car company ceos so we had on decoder over the years from like how long to a car without a steering wheel and they're like well it'll happen and they sort of look off into the distance and hope i want ask how long and then i do. Not for a while. Yeah they all stopped saying five years. Did all something. Here's a few things. I want to call out on the side that we didn't have time to talk about. We have our iowa's fifteen and ipad fifteen previews up. We have our mac. Os fifteen preview up. They have to change safari. yes they must have to. They have to roll that back. Actually speaking of competition stuff jonker incredible line about safari on mac because he thinks i should change it to because it's bad. They put all the time to the top move around. He was like if apple doesn't change this. They will lose market share to chrome chromium based processors. Yeah that's it that's the threat you have to make a good product or you lose market share for important things whereas if they just script safari and the phone you might switch to chrome but it's still there rep rendering engine. No stakes tom. Getting everybody's more stakes ever needs to be more afraid of the american consumer. That's how many this for chess a few other things and era transportation reporter. He's got a great story on waymo. Self-driving company they have virtual city called simulation city that they are not allowed to call simcity test. Self-driving stuff that's a cool dive into things and there's a bunch of additional regulatory things. But the one i wanna call out is the indian government is arguing. Twitter doesn't have immunity for its user posts. They have not to thirty as this a couple of weeks ago. The relationship between tech companies in the indian government is like a preview of. What's happening here so we're paying a lot of attention to it gory. That's because if you want to think about what a world without thirty looks like there are actually lots of countries in the world where there isn't to thirty in. The government doesn't interfere in content moderation. Maybe that's great so just a bunch of interesting stuff on the site to look at props domain for passing facial recognition government facial recognition ban and two are great facial recognition reporter. Dave karsh for covering it is the second one didn't illinois do one illinois has a really strong biometric privacy law and there have been municipalities that have banned government use a facial recognition but mains is like the strongest thing that we have so far but again it's summer and it's like a little slope. There's still a lot happening. So all over the verge wanted focus on the stuff we focus on today. You can tweet at us. I met reckless dealers at back on. Addy is at the decks jerky we've act. Ask next week decoder next week. Another av company. Ceo ceo pollstar. Thomas english that. I have to tell you this interview. Just one of the while. They're see of interview so they were had just a very different kind of character so that was a good one. So that's next week on tuesday. We back next week with chest. That's it five. Stars rate is five stars. Find a place to raise us and then.

"Support it or keep it in. I forget the exact wording but they're not going to discontinue it as my is my impression is going to stick around And then there's the one with a nice screen and like you pick your price point or you pick a screen size or which one you want. It's just like there's the nice one at it's called. Nintendo switch led model. Word model is what offends me about this whole situation right. Just call it untitled switch. Oh lead whatever intendo only ever pronounces. Oled model they. Don't ever say ola. So you thought we won the that we didn't because he's still have to spell it out now you'll go and you'll you'll by the one that fits your budget or you know if you're willing to splurge on the the one it's like you buy an iphone and you pick your storage option right ni- switch and you pick your screen. Isn't there controversy. Joy con drift with swishes fixing that. Who knows they won't. They won't say they won't comment. You know trying to get nintendo to say drifts is very difficult unless you're talking about mario kart amazing. When is this thing come out. It's early october. Same day as the new metro dade which metro dread which yes metro-dade. Good happy excited. I love me some sites metro-dade it's it's we're overdue. I can't wait Yes please also bring back metric prime. I know it's not part of the main storyline but I miss it and you should be able to figure out a way to do that with joy cons pretty easily so please be released that also There's the new zelda. Which is the old zelda skyward sword coming soon going to try that out but i think i'm going to be disappointed. But that's okay because the sequel breath of the wild is still out there in the world and i will watch celtic videos looking at zillow lower trying to parse what's going to happen in that game all day long. I recommend you do as well. Is this holiday silks. Oncoming like is that that's exist. I want silk song so bad. I don't know i haven't been keeping up on that. I managed to finally defeat their creepy vampire boss expansion and felt so relieved that i finally did it that i had to set a done and walk away from it for months. I played out holla night so much. "Yeah here's my theory about the new lead switch okay. It's the new intendo switch. Oh led model in parentheses. That's my theory. Fact that they were just like oh led model in parentheses means that all of my display whining over the past. Ten years in the show has been completely validated. And that all people care about is contrast ratios. I was right. Okay yeah no. I buy it so i mean my theory as they called it and model so that everyone was crystal clear no pun intended. That there's nothing else knew about this. The processor is the same. The power is the same. There are a couple of things that are worth noting. One is the kick stand is no longer a cheap plastic piece of crap that falls off what you blow a light breeze at it. I gotta hate the extent of the original switch. It's a good kick stat in the style of a surface kick. Stan where can like go at any angle and it has sixty four gigs of internal storage instead of a measly thirty two. So you can maybe more than two games on it Which seems good other minor stuff. They added away. Where ethan at port into the dock and the speakers are a little bit louder but the main news is at the screen is now a full seven point o. Inches and it is lead instead of lcd. But it's the same resolution. It is still seven twenty. That's correct and it's still does ten eighty when you plug it into a tv. It won't go to four k. The seven inch seven. Twenty p ten tunnel screen is going to be like. Maybe i was wrong. I don't know that it's tile it might be rgb. I'm still waiting for confirmation on this. I took a loop to it. Know those little magnify things you put on negatives or whatever and it looks like to me but i don't have the i for screens that you do if you if you don't know penthouse screen is it's a way of arranging. A sub pixels led screen. That isn't straight one color per pixel rgb per pixel and some people see this and it causes their is to bleed and they become unreasonable rage. Monsters who could talk about nothing else. That's neil patel then there's other people like me it's like i guess it looks fine. I don't know it seems good And that's me so it was a lot worse when the pixel densities were low like the iphone has an led penn tile screen looks great because it pinks pixel and see so the whole hack. Is that your eye perceives. Green more than other colors See if you put more green and making it more brightness panel early they just looked horrible. Now high picks. Don't say look great. I'm just saying seven. Twenty p at a larger screen. You're not going to get more pixel density you. You're getting less pixel density. And i played mario kart and i played breath of the wild. Both games are very good at looking nice on seven. Twenty p right. The way that they're visually designed like if it's not it's fine at that pixel density. I think at seven twenty p and so they looked good to me and the screen looks way brighter and crisper to me like tour vibrance and if you look at like the grass or whatever like you could see the pixels you can see the like if you look like really thin lettering. You can start to see the jagged a little bit you know like. It's not anti alias. As well as maybe should be. But here's the bottom line. It's bigger and brighter and therefore nicer the end fair and kick standards better and the stand is way better. Yeah i would not upgrade. I'm gonna upgrade. Because i switched over to switch light and that was a huge mistake and i regretted every day my life. I want go back to the bigger screen. But if you've got a regular switch especially one of the like slightly newer switches that have the better battery life. I think this is a very difficult upgrade to justify because the joy cons of the same the processors the same there's a little more interest storage but whatever build quality is basically the same. It seems like it's a little bit better. Built the kick stand helps. There's a a glossy puzzle around the screen instead of a matte. Finish puzzle around the screen. Whatever but at this point like getting into such tiny little details like the power button is oblong instead of round and it's resist in a different way like okay. Is it nicer. I would say like the big knock me on. The original switch is like it's pretty in in in wild like a masterpiece. The hardware is kinda cheap but just all the way. It's like kinda cheap. I'll say it feels like fifteen percent nicer than the original switch. Probably original switch. Along until i compare it but which is also beat up from us. I have no idea what the single be like when it's beat up from us but you know brand new onto the box. It's a nice gadget. Does it say smaller vessels like like i would say the originals which is kind of plastic. Like yeah. I would say the plastic again. It's like it to me. Seem like fifteen percent nicer. Plastic like the matt finish is a little bit more mad than the original one but also using the original one for years and so maybe just got worn down. Yeah that there's like a lot of rumors that it would be a switch pro that we'd be new chip. Do you have any sense of wide. None of this came to pass. I mean there's the theory that the like the chip shortage has messed everything up right. But i don't know. I mean there's also just like people keep expecting nintendo to act like other companies other council makers they never do and they have not done it again. They like they just this is what nintendo does release tiny little changes to the consoles. That are going well for them and they might get some people to upgrade. But it's just like it's another skewed and put in the store. That's how they do it. I haven't used my switch for a little bit. But i don't know i feel like there are so many good games that don't require really intense hardware at this point and the switches really really good at playing them. Like i don't know this is also just speaking as someone who has other consoles. I don't need like i pretty much. Play the switch exclusively as a hand held. And i don't need to like play aaa console games but i kinda like. I'm kind of happy with the switch. I have now like. I would be perfectly happy with being like a slightly iterative upgrade. So the idea of doing this upgrade is that people will upgrade or you'll get new people to buy switch right. I mean those. Are those your yeah. I think it's more the latter. I think it's people who haven't bought a switch yet. We'll go to the store. And they will be three options set of to the portable one the regular one nintendo specifically told me we're going to continue to support the regular one. It's going to stick around weight..

"Other thing about this blog post is it does this thing that just drives me nuts where it's like they're like cool me. What this is weird. It's so strange that a group of state attorneys general chose to file suit a file lawsuit attacking assistant that provides more openness insurance fathers. First of all. I thought you said they got the vapors as in there was a group of vapors at google. They're all like vaping statement. That's not what you meant at all but equally excellent mental image apple. This to write the i just think it is. If you just look at it abstractly you take. I know there's so many differences if you step back a little bit. They have the same terms they have the same angry app developers. They have the same lawsuits and now they have this almost exactly the same responses and i just can't yes i know they're different. Everyone is going to tweet at us and tell us how different they are but like the shapes are the same like they're more of the same the different. It's very hard for me to say. Oh that's super competitive. And i think one question we've been asking forever is why isn't there more competition with an android. Why aren't there more android phone vendors doing cool things fighting for peace in the market. It should be really easy to switch them in a samsung phone to. Lg phone or whatever right then it doesn't exist. And like i think. Part of that is carrier control us forever. Part of this is samsung. Firehose money at anybody who looks at them and make sure that the winner all the time and part of it is google's control has limited with the phone makers are actually able to do and so we've ended up with who's going to be the first to folding phones because if you can solve it hardware technology puzzle like google can't stop you. The carriers can't stop you but that's it that's where we've pointed all this effort as opposed to how does the phone work is it better for developers the flip side of this and i. It's like deeply ironic than saying this is like five or eight years ago. We're like these. Phones are too fragmented should impose dictatorial control over the android ecosystem to bring things in line. So it's more competitive. I don't know where that balances at all and it can. We not talking about samsung. We should talk about what a big presence. Samsung is in this lawsuit. It's got its own entire section and it's funny how bake samson looms over the android ecosystem not just that they sell the most expensive phones the most expensive phones but also the most expensive phones but it seems like every time there's some sort of fragmentation or like platformer ecosystem debate with android. It's because of samsung. Remember when they freaked out over the the magazine you. I like say seven years ago and like sooner had to like fly to korea and tell them to cut it out no they sold motorola because the samson they sold motorola because the samsung and now in this lawsuit specifically. It's talking about stuff that google has done with samsung and its galaxy store and that just takes up a huge amount of their head space. I mean it's a huge like it's it's the only thing that comes close to being its own brand within the within android right like right as someone with a samsung phone like. I got a samsung phone in part because it was the only thing that like i don't know people would make cases for rate. Yep that's one of the reasons that we do the best android phone. We often will land on a samsung phone. I was like why didn't you pick one. Plus how dare you blah blah blah blah blah. Why did you pick no one says. Why didn't you pick algae some lg pr people. But it's because you can walk into any store and buy a case for us twenty one and you just can't do that with other android phones. Yeah the relationship relationship between google and samsung and the carriers. This is kind what it'd be like if because they're three independent parties with their own interests. Who are arguing about how to get leverage over each other the amount of evidence that exists of google enforcing its leverage. Is just going to be higher. In this case yeah right. And i like i think the play services i mean when i say this the whole thing ever chest episode like the android blogs ten years ago were complaining that google was exerting too much control over android because of google. Play services right like if you ship android without google play services. It doesn't matter where you get your apps from. They're not going to run right. And so there's a big question over as earlier like what. Api's are in place services what api's.

"Kind putting a light to the idea that android has actually an open system with competition. When one thing that's passing by the way it should point out. Epic is suing google to know they're suing google the exact same reasons. I sued apple. We just haven't gotten all those emails from a trial like the complaints are kind of the same right there. They're slightly different. But the core thing that people are complaining about is google makes you pay their fees so epic epic assuming tools private company. The states are so. Google is obviously the states. If you read the complaint there's a bunch of reductions so we we've got all the discovery from epic. I'm very excited for the discovery. And all this thing go to trial so we can see what's behind those reductions because there's enough stuff here. There's references to like google secret program code named redaction to try get samsung to redaction at here is an email about redaction that it's like a giant square block and it's like oh there's stuff here there's something the this isn't just they're mad they actually have got some evidence and some of the evidence is the stuff that we we got from the congressional hearings. The stuff is all obviously happening in inter twined manner so they were the big congressional hearings investigation into digital marketplaces. Now there's a state law suit. They're drawing from it explicitly. They're saying as we learned in the hearings and then they've done their own investigation. They've got their own documents. One thing that really strikes so we should talk about the samsung galaxy store. It is true that on the show. We don samsung.

"To wait whereas my vehicle et cetera et cetera and then test scale production model three began the best-selling electric vehicle in the world. Omar says that's what's about to happen again with fasd. Andy lan liking that tweet so i thought that was a good reminder and a pretty good comparison as well obviously any comparison is going to have its flaws but it also shows that on is feeling confident with where tussles at as for the impact of the business from the fasd beta release. This initial limited release won't really impact the financials too much. But if tesla does end up actually releasing it more broadly in q. Three they'll be able to recognize quite a bit of self-driving deferred revenue for the quarter potentially hundreds of millions of dollars which would mostly go to the bottom line. That'll be pretty interesting. That'll help tussles price to earnings ratio quite a bit. They might also recognize deferred tax allowance. Tesla wall also have less impact from you. On musk's compensation plan and key threes. Just going to be a strong quarter financially anyway. So it's gonna be really interesting to see these things start to come together. As for the stock itself. I think the looming cutie earnings report is probably going to be a bigger influence than anything to do with the limited fasd beta. I doubt that's going to have a huge impact. The market's already seen the fasd beta testing videos and without closer view. It's going to be pretty hard to get a sense of how much progress if any tesla's has made with this release and until it gets more. Broadly released. I don't think the market's going gonna care about it too much moving on then the next big piece of news that we have here is the introduction of the standard range model y in china of course. We talked late last week right before. The delivery report came out about the introduction of the standard range model. Why interestingly enough in hong kong so with quite a bit foreshadowing from that. This move shouldn't be all that surprising but there are a few interesting details here to look at top of the list. There are price and range so for price the vehicle is listed at two hundred ninety one thousand eight hundred and forty are m..

"A good friend of mine, Kevin McGuire became the chief revenue officer at Hulu. When Hulu was just getting off the ground, yeah. Yeah, 2008 when they started a little bit before that but 2008 is when they started hiring a sales team. Remember, there's like 5 of us in a small little conference room a salespeople were like, what are we going to sell? How are we going to sell this? And we were able to build a pretty significant business in a short amount of time. And then from Hulu, I always call this my internship, but 6 of us from Hulu went over to Shazam. If you remember Shazam, the app on your phone and when a song was playing, you can click it, hold it up to the song and then it would tell you what song it was and then you could instantly purchase it, purchase it from iTunes. And we were going to turn that into a media research platform because you could record commercials and you could do some really interesting day partying research. I have to be honest with you glennon and you're gonna be like no way. I'd still be there if things worked out better than they did. We had some really interesting things going before they decided to go in a different direction and then ultimately sell that cell to Apple. But after that internship, which lasted a little over a year, I was fortunate enough to land at Facebook and here I am almost 6 years later. So I'm sure people are going to ask or they may be I'll ask for them. So did you did Mark Zuckerberg interview you or have you met him and you know what's he like or Sheryl Sandberg? What about that? I personally have not had the opportunity to meet Mark Zuckerberg or Sheryl Sandberg. You know, they both have been into Detroit where I live now multiple times. But you know, logistics when those type of executives show up is pretty strong. So I had fortunately have not been had the opportunity. But. The advertising world, as you know, because you live it is actually smaller than people think. And it even gets smaller when you're in a specific town, which I was in Detroit at that point. Right. You know, it's ten plus years, so I knew a lot of the people and they saw where Shazam was going and was fortunate enough to be able to just come over to Facebook. I was on the national business for quite a long time and then as we saw the opportunity with the dealer business, I was fortunate enough to help play a role and get that team going. So let's talk about that team. Where is that team? Is it a remote team? Is it with you in Detroit? Well, it's remote now, obviously, but the majority of the team, I think 95% of the team is in Austin, Texas. Alfred and I are here in Detroit. We used to have another girl, Amanda, here in Detroit, but her husband got transferred to Austin, which worked out perfectly. So she's in Austin. So it's just Alfred and I guess you can consider remote except our Detroit office has about 30 people because remember General Motors Ford and Stellantis are all are all headquartered here in Detroit. So we have teams that cover those OEMs. So Austin and Detroit is where our team is right. How many people do you report to you in terms of a team?.
