"Steve. Okay, you're going to have to do that. So let's talk about the here and now. What do you think about this matchup between the eagles and the chiefs? Steve Smith, what do you think? I love this matchup. You know, this match your reminds me like the old Tyson, Holyfield. Somebody's going to bite someone. Helmet off? The whole heavyweight fight. It's going to be a lot of haymakers. You don't really necessarily care who wins. You just want to see, you just want to see some great punches. So good plays, some good strategy. Especially what we saw with the Philadelphia Eagles being able to take out Brock pretty. Josh Johnson going down, it was pretty tough game to watch. That I just want to see these two guys and then Nick serian. He's also from the Andy retreat. So he has some plays under his belt as well that he knows they know each other. So I just want to see some good old fashioned chess football versus sometimes, especially in the last couple of weeks of the last couple of weeks over the season. It was more like checkers, uno. Old mother made. It wasn't really great football, but I think once we had the playoffs, man, it was glue, you were glued to the television. Yeah, the AFC championship game was a terrific. It was. Yes. I enjoyed that AFC championship game. I think that was the heavyweight fight that we saw. Absolutely. And so I kind of think we're going to see a similar game. That's why it's exciting. It's going to be good. Well, the sense that the eagles have such incredible depth and talent. Yes. At the analyzer. I will give you a compliment. I appreciate it. Yes. Don't get defensive. I did get defensive there. I did. You want to move it? Well, no, you seem someone switched. You on the council? It's okay. Because no, I mean, I pay attention. I pay attention when folks like you talk, I listen. Are you an active listener? Or wait to talk? I'm an active listener. Oh yeah. An active say, what? You want these guys? Because it's great that you think you're active listening. I know the people you work with. Do you believe he's an active listener on a consistent basis? I put the fit there, Steve. Oh, yes. Are you doing this for me? You know, Steve, he pulled me out the mud, bro and I liked my job. He's an active listener. Thank you. He would not be in his position this long, if you want to. Oh boy, man. You got a little bit right there. By the way. The potential worst listener that we have on this show. By the way. And the guys in charge of listening. Like that's his literal job is to hear and listen to make sure that what we are saying is accurate. It's heard well enough. Not accurate, but that is heard. He's right here. And he's the number of times where it's his job to actually add something to the moment, we produced it, and he'll just be on his phone or something. Oh, I'm working. Yeah.

"Roku channel air as well as this radio show. Good to see you, George kittle. How are you, brother? I am great. Please take a seat right behind you. I can see her here. There you go. There you go. Thank you. Let me just describe for the radio audience. It's an old spice sweatshirt. You're putting the product on the corner of my desk. Oh, did I? That was there. That was the thud that was the thud. You also have a rug rats reptar. What have you got? Yeah, it's reptar. A reptar, rugrats, sweats. And then you're repping the boys. Well, I am one of the boys, aren't you? I on the show. I'd like to think rich, go on the show. I want to go on the show. Let me just get you guys wait one second. Rich, go on the show. I'll co host with it. So I'll be on the show. I have told Taylor luan from the beginning. I am not going on the bus unless there is a motor in the bus. And he still doesn't have one. I need to stick to my guns, but I'm still happy to go on as a zoom or something because I can't get to Nashville. Why not? Come to tighten you and do your interview then. Are you officially inviting me to do that? Last year. I don't recall that. Yeah. I mean, you invited me to have a hand in the curriculum for the university, you know? That's inviting you to tighten you. Okay, very good. Yeah, come on through. We'll get on bus with the boys all co hosts. We'll just kick Taylor out. It's okay. That's okay. Stay confident. Pretty funny. We'll take him on a walk. Too many mission guys on one bus. There's not enough windows to breeze that one out. I love that picture I saw a lot of talking in a Michigan shirt. Was that this year? That was this year. My good friend Tracy. We bet on it every year. Yeah. I have not won that one yet. Actually, I want to my rookie year I think. I mean good to see you. Great senior, rich. So great singing job last night. I thought. Thank you so much. I appreciate that. You're the unmasked singer of NFL honors. I saw that. It's stressful. When did they reach out to you say we want you to sing? Like Wednesday or Thursday last week? Okay. And I was like, oh my gosh, I'm in Vegas, totally not gonna practice very much here in Vegas because I'm doing other things, but I practice about 5 times and I realized I was like, I don't know how much better this is gonna get, so let's just wing it and have a good time out there. And I had a great time. What was the general sense, your reviews? My wife said I did great, so that's all that matters really. That's all that matters. I did it, got it over with. I had a great time. That was more stressful than to me. Then like a two minute drill to win a football game. I like it. My heart rate was through the roof. I had to do deep breathing for like 5 minutes. Denny Kelly Clarkson tips, did you get anything from her at all? So when I got to rehearsal, get this. Okay. I go up to the guy who's like, he's like, he's doing the keyboard and the band he's telling them what to do. And he goes, what pitch do you sing in? I said, that's not the question you should be asking me, man. Have you ever sang before, maybe a better question? Is this song the right choice for you? A Kelly Clarkson song, maybe not, but hey, we're gonna wing it anyways. So he's asking me questions. I'm like, I don't know what you're talking about here, man. My pitch, he goes, I think you're a B, I was like, for sure. I'll trust you guys. I'll trust him. Hit that bee gap. You hit the beach. You see a sea gap tray power, run a gap scheme. I'm in. There you go. Fantastic. What do you think of this Super Bowl, George? Who do you have in Super Bowl 57? I'm just jumping right in. What do you got for me? Well, break it down, George. You want me to break it down? If you want to give my well, I'm going to go with the Christmas caffeine answer. I hope they both lose. It's a great answer. Yeah, but you know that's

"Play of the day. Play of the day is brought to you by the Mercedes Benz sprinter van unlock your potential, and you can do your own thing, be your own boss, live out your own dreams capable and versatile Mercedes Benz sprinter can help drive your ambitions as far as you want to take them. By the way, the nets got 25 from the newly acquired Spencer Dinwiddie, they rallied to beat the bulls, also Yanis had his 9th straight double double at 38 and ten. Luca, the Joker had double digits. He had 29 and 12 wasn't enough. Magic beat the nuggets. The Joker is shot 50% or better from the floor in all but one game this season, including his last 42 in a row. All right. Stefan Diggs is a lot of fun. He gets it. And if he wants to, I'm sure he'd have a great future in this business. And he tells stories, he's animated. He can get serious when he needs to. But even telling the story of damar Hamlin, I had not heard that detail. And I didn't want to be insensitive, but we're after the fact now, and he did bring it up, but I wanted to see what he saw. Because, as he said, he's seen death before up close. And to see blood coming out of demar Hamlin's mouth, then you knew it wasn't because I think initially we all thought, oh, is he flopping? Did somebody just push him over and he flopped? And then when you realize he wasn't getting back up, now you start looking at him differently. And if you're that close and he said, we're just trying to shield him so people can't be watching him with what was going on. But, you know, in a great reception for demar Hamlin last night at the NFL honors and rightfully so and the medical community who helped save his life. Justin Herbert, the Chargers quarterback top of the hour Trevor Lawrence is going to stop by a little bit later on. And Fred Warner of the niners, their great linebacker will stop by as well. Eagles are still one and a half point favorite over the chiefs, the over under is 51. Don't think anything's changing unless you have somebody getting banged up in practice, but don't see that happening. Yes, Pauly. You know, it's Stefan Diggs. He came into the league at age 22 in 2015 and he had a lot of good numbers when Minnesota's last year, second last year in Minnesota, really hit it. But since he's going to buffalo a three time pro bowler, three time pro bowler, two time all pro, 127 catches, 103, 108 average about 11 touchdowns a year. He's starting to get into that level where he flirting with the Hall of Fame someday. But he's 30 one, I think. He is, I have just turning 30. Okay, 30. Okay. But yeah, but this is like, it's almost like Kelsey with my homes. You two lock up together for four or 5 years, you got 500 catches in 5 years. This guy's gonna have 550 catches in 5 years. But I don't know what the numbers are for receivers anymore. Because it feels like if you don't have a thousand catches, then you're not going to get into the Hall of Fame. And you know, I don't know if we'll get to the point where contributions to the game, like Julian Edelman's name comes up this time every year because we go, hey, you can't tell the story of the NFL and super bowls without Julian Edelman. And okay, I get that. I mean, there's a lot of guys you can't tell the story of the Super Bowl or the NFL without their names. That doesn't mean you're a Hall of Famer. That means you had a couple of great great memories, and he was a Super Bowl MVP. And then you'll get, well, Julian Edelman and Lin swan, Julian Edelman has more catches or whatever it might be. In Lin swan did have his great moment in the Super Bowl when he was an MVP. Yeah, Mark. Yeah, that's what I was saying yesterday about the pro basketball Hall of Fame. Iconic moments or iconic teams and sometimes I get you into the halls. Like I just remember growing up, Lynn Swann's catches. I didn't know he only caught 54. I think he caught like maybe 400, less than that, three 50. That's it. But, you know, back then it's just different. When you start to compare generations, it's just you have to factor in what the game was like. And back then, it wasn't now if lynch Swann played now and John stallworth played now, then those guys would have a thousand catches. But back then, they ran the football. They chuck noll was conservative. They took less chances. They played great defense. That's just how you played back then. If you threw it 20 times, 25 times, you're like, wow, what's going on here? Using you were in trouble. It had to. Now you can throw 25 in the first half. Yeah, Paul. Remember one of our biggest debates on the show right when Edelman retired was whose career would you want Julian Edelman good regular season player? He'd never even made a Pro Bowl as an alternate as an alternate. Never sniffed a Pro Bowl. 600 catches, blah, blah, blah. By the postseason, Julian Edelman, I think his all time leading receiver with a number of catches. And or Calvin Johnson, 6 time all pro, regular season, he's first ballot. A Calvin Johnson did almost zero in the postseason. I think he played one game. They're the complete opposites of each other. Yeah, Calvin, you know, obviously playing in a bad team and Julian got to play with the Patriots. But if you said, who are we going to be talking about in ten or 15 years, you might mention megatron just because here was a guy out of Georgia Tech of all places. It becomes this athletic freak. They didn't throw the ball in Georgia Tech. You had megatron at Georgia Tech and you're like, we're going to run the football. Should have got an army and really just got the game. Exactly. Yeah, I want to go where I don't get any catches. Well, you almost did with Georgia Tech. But Edelman is probably going to be mentioned history will be nicer to Edelman because of those moments. I mean, he had a couple of unbelievable catches. Unbelievable catches. And he ended up winning and he got an MVP in the Super Bowl. Todd, would you update the poll results? I can help tout at that. Here we go. Actually. What are you doing, Todd? I'm just getting some notes together. Okay. Where are you watching the super bowl on Sunday? Home, family, Friends house. Not going to watch her. I got tickets. Only .7% have tickets, believe it or not. Okay. How about that? Most people watching it at home. It's not even really close. Okay. We're going to switch it up for an hour or two. Yeah, yeah. Okay. Paul Paul's actually got one for hours. What do you got? Whose hair would you want? Justin Herbert's or Trevor Lawrence. Now, before you jump to an answer, they're both great hair, but they're different. Trevor Lawrence is more surfer, sunshine. I think Trevor Lawrence relies on his hair more than Justin Herbert does. To a fault? I dated women who didn't flip their hair as much as Trevor did. Working or dumb. The idea, oh yeah, it is. Absolutely. West Justin Herbert, who's got better hair. Justin Herbert, Trevor Lawrence. Stay tuned for that. Yeah, the hard hitting questions, of course. What's up? "Wide receivers. It's tough. I mean, he's getting a lot of targets too. And you know, only people that were really touched the ball as much as him was the quarterback. So, I mean, I feel like he deserved it a 100%. Could you feel like America was rooting for you guys this year? Oh man, a 100%. From the beginning of the year, even from the previous year, I feel like everybody went in with the right mindset of just like, man, it's your buffalo should win it and do a they're supposed to do. So, and then with everything that happened, like the trials and tribulations we had ton of injuries, we had things happen at the end of the year. I feel like it's like that feel good story that you want so bad. Everybody wants to feel good story, but sorry, but you know, we live in the real world. Well, it was like a Disney movie. It just didn't have a Disney ending. Yeah, it's like more like a nightmare, maybe. But how do you describe the feeling that last game you walk off the field? It was just disappointing. Damn sure frustrated, you know, everybody really put in a grand scheme of things of how long a year is, you know, and our year was damn sure. I mean, it just felt that much longer with everything we had to go through an indoor, so out of disappointment, frustrated, and it was like, oh shit, we did all this for this, and it seemed just like, seemed like a little bit not real. When we lost and I was just like, really trying to let it register like, damn, that's what we just did out there. So it was damn sure frustrating and disappointing. Yeah, and I understand your frustration. And everything's on camera. Yeah. So we see you in Joshua on the sidelines. But I'd rather that, you know, you had passion there, that it didn't bother you. I know that you've probably been asked about it, looked at it, talked to Josh about it. But looking back on it, what should we know about that moment where you two, where you had words with him? Well, looking back, it was just a, you know, that season that kind of shook out the way it did. I feel like the first 9 weeks we had a kind of like a former like a recipe for winning. And we kind of got away from it on the back end. You know what I'm saying? We were creating a creative ways to win, but it just how we were winning wasn't as smooth as the first 9 weeks. So, and I kind of tested that just throughout the season. You know, we had a lot of ups and downs and individually just trying to keep them things to keep things tied together. It's just, it was just some crucial moments in the year that late in the late in this late in the season, you know, late in the fourth quarter. It was opportunities and we didn't take advantage of. So I felt like that last that last, I guess, series or that last play when you saw frustration, it wasn't necessarily just that play. But those moments built up to it. Culmination. Exactly. And for me, it was up to this point. We've seen quarterback and receivers as far as like tandems and guys who play at a high level and every quarterback has their guy, you know, in those moments like you are the guy, you know what I'm saying up to this point I've been to God for my team and for my quarterback. So in those moments, of course, I want the ball, you know what I'm saying? I'm never apologized for that. I'll show you a good loser. I'll show you a loser. You know what I'm saying? At the end of the day, like in that moment, it was fourth and whatever. Of course, I was one on one on the backside and I wanted to put us in a position and win. So, you know, I never apologize for passion. Because we forget about this game, I guess. And you know, some people say like, oh, don't be a sore loser or, you know, it's hard not to be frustrated. So for me, I always look at it as earlier in a season we had a, we had a real scare. You know, we had something that, you know, we never thought we would see 99.9%. The thing but demar, you know what I'm saying? So it kind of like put things in perspective for a lot of people and it became real. That's what I'm saying became real for everybody. We saw it. So it kind of seemed like we forget how much we're putting into this game until moments like that happened. And so when his mom was like, will we lose and people shot to tell you to be a good sport or patch on the back? This isn't literally baseball. Nothing against literally baseball. This is a little bit bigger. So I was just like, I just want people to really be reminded of how serious this game is and how much, you know, people are putting into each and every day. I train year round for 17 weeks, or 20 weeks. So in a moment of frustration, I just always want that to be in the forefront. Stefon Diggs, the Buffalo Bills wide receiver. When demar goes down, I mean, the game is so fast than everything slows down. And then everything stops. And it's a weird reaction because you're not used to anything, like nothing slows down in the NFL. And now all of a sudden you see your teammate on the ground. What's the first thing you're thinking? I just got kind of like a little bit of tears right now. Maybe it's just because it's cold. I'm not sure. But I remember vividly kind of happened right in front of my face 'cause typically sometimes I get off the mist to support the defense. So I'm looking and the way it kind of happened so fast he fell and the guys that were behind me like I thought somebody pushed them and he just like, you know like you flop or you go on the ground. But then he didn't move. So it was just a moment of just like, I don't know. Like the world stopped. It's perfectly when you say the world. Stop it. You can hit damn near a pin drop in the stadium. It's just like, because somebody knew something was wrong, it wasn't as simple as like, he didn't get up or he had a concussion, so. I tell you now when our teammates kind of rally around him and got into a circle, it was more to try to protect them so people couldn't see. But the fact that the people that could see really saw, you know what I'm saying? So when you were up close and personal, it is something that I don't wish on anybody. But what are you seeing when you're looking at him? Well, at first, when I saw him, I'm sorry, it's my little graphic, but it was like some blood coming from his mouth. And it was like, I was like, it seemed like somebody hit him or something like that. I was like, nah, like something wrong. So when the medical staff shout out to the medical staff, they rushed over there. It seemed like they knew something was going on. So we rallied behind them and kind of like circled up and you saw you saw them low key, go, come back, go come back. And something I mean, obviously I've had experience with life and death. I've seen death, but it's just like for your teammate and it just happened so fast on a football field. It's like this. It's like, damn, what the hell is going on? Somebody help somebody helping. It's like, you just want to see something good happen and it happened and it didn't end and it happened and finally things kind of like a little bit turn the corner. And then, you know, football was just in the air for a second. It's like this damn, like we forgot all about football for a second. What was it like first time you saw him afterwards? Oh, well, I saw him in a hospital, you know what I'm saying? Was he all hooked up to? Yeah, it was a scary sight. I'm not big on hospitals. And that's just a personal thing because last time I seen somebody in the hospital, it was my father. And I kind of saw him in a similar state. So when I saw him, it was real triggering, but it was like some life of hope and be like, all right, he's at least a manageable right now, or trying to get to be manageable. So, but when he came back to the facility. Oh yeah, it was like a breath of fresh air. I don't know, it's like, I don't know how many cookouts you've been to. I mean, cook I was, have you been to? Have you been any cookout? Well,

And we had a lot of fun with him. We've stayed in touch with him, obviously, is now with the Buffalo Bills, and the wide receiver, joining us on behalf of Downey unstoppables. You know, if you're going to represent down and you better look clean, let's say hello to Stefon Diggs who joins us on the program. Looking good. Looking good. There we go. Yeah? You want to pull the microphone up there to you? All right. We had that awkward moment where he went to shake my hand. I went to give him dap and then I had early story. What is policy, though, with you start with dad, you do start with him. I start with that typically just because you never know how clean people are hands on. And I'm a big kid. But if I like you, I might. Oh, I might. Okay. But you gave me it. I kind of forced the handshake when I met you earlier today. So we're half and half. All right, just want to make sure I do like it. I don't want to get I don't want to get called for encroachment here. I just want to make sure which is colder, Minnesota or buffalo. It's Minnesota still. Buffalo gets a lot more snow, but Minnesota, I'll never forget, just because my first year I was outside and, you know, M&T Bank stadium, it was fun, but it was damn sure cold. But don't you think that'd be a great home field advantage if in Minnesota to have outdoors? Well, I had buffalo, it's been, you know, we've had inclement weather the past couple of years. So it's like, we do have advantage when guys come in and it's cold and, you know, when Miami comes or somebody like that, it doesn't play in the clothes. A little bit of advantage. But should we factor in where you play and what whether you plan when we look at your stats when your career is all over? A 100%, I mean, I feel like if we had a nice indoor, I think we're working on something right now, you know, to be a little different, but we're out there making it work, you know, the other team is just as slow, so. How long is it going to take to build that new stadium? Stadium expert or maybe a year and a half. Nobody talked to you about the stadium? I think that's above my opinion. Oh, okay. But you could be curious. I want to ask more questions, but then good things come to those who wait, right? Okay, but how long is your contract for? I got a couple of years. Okay. I just don't want them to get stadium completed and I'm long gone. Then you're gone. Then you're in Miami or something. I asked deebo Samuel if we lined up all the receivers. Everybody in the NFL. Who's winning a hundred meter dash? Is that a real question? Yeah. I mean, Tariq here. Like it's not even, it's not even a question. It's not that. He's a rust. These are all special talent. He got a different kind of speed. And it's a lot of fast guys in the league. When it's a lot of fast guys, you still got to look at a guy like, who's really separate at a high level. Okay, who's the second fastest guy in the NFL? His counterpart. I mean, he's in a mix and I like Turpin two from the cowboys. Yeah. He plays more like return that way. He's extremely fast to his. Could you put together a four by 100 relay team and maybe metal in the Olympics? No, no. No? Because the track is just a different real speed out there. I feel like the guys that are fast and I'm behind him a 100%, but that truck speaks different. Wait, you don't think tyrique now I tried to set up tyreek versus you seem bolt. Yeah. And I thought if I did 60 or 70 meters, Tyreke could take you same bolt. I agree with that. Not a hundred. I agree with that. Because once you're seeing gets those long legs going, then he's gone. I like how he came on to fix me in a way. So you think he, yeah, because he only separated towards the back end. He's beat everybody by ten meters, I guess. Yeah, it was legs get to turn in this kind of hard to stop. But Tyree could probably do that to defensive back. Yeah. That's your guy? All right. Justin Jefferson got offensive player of the year? Yeah. You okay with that? He deserved it. Okay. I watched some clothes. He had a great year, especially from the receiver position. I also feel like, you know, coming from, you know, pulled dead a little closer to you. Coming from an offensive driven team, like they had coach was offensive guy, you know, that plays a huge part in offensive scheme and what they're doing, so. But no competition, between

I'm not going to the Hall of Fame. It was a great career. I could retire, I'm a legend in my hometown, but then you get that call when you're like 68 years old or something like that. Last night, I was watching it. He had the biggest grin is really cool. Really cool. And he got lost in the shadow of Mark Gaston, and they had one of the great names when we used to have nicknames for our defenses. You know, the New York sack exchange. But gastro no got the credit, but Joe klecko, he was the meat and potatoes guy on that defensive line. Yes, Marv. Random question was Mark gassino a one year wonder because I heard about Mark gassino only because of his outlandish dance. Yeah. No, not one year, but it was probably like a three year and then he started dating Brigitte Nielsen who later married Stallone or was this, he dated her after. She was married to Stallone. I don't know. I could have keep up with the 80s. Mark asked no early 80s for the jets. He had some serious years. He had a 5 year window, 20 sex, 19 sex, 22 sacks. 13 and a half sacks, the other year he was injured. He had a 5 year run where he was the best offensive rush end in football. He led league sex twice. He was all pro first team three times 5 times Oprah, but even his persona was bigger than him. Well yeah, he had a Rolls Royce that he drove and you go out to hofstra where the jets had their camp. And you'd go in and you'd see just regular cars that would be over Rolls Royce there. And be like, oh, that must be Gaston. I thought he was awesome. Yeah. But I was pretty young at the time, but I was like, dang, this dude gets it. Well, he had some question marks about his career. He did. You know, when you're like, I don't know, 7 or whatever. Look at this guy's car, man. This guy's awesome. Look at that second. Well, his teammates hated. Hated that sack dance. Because it was, you know, it's individual selfish, and it was all about Mark Gaston. Yes, Todd. And it often caused fights and they had to come to his rescue or at least pretend to come to his restaurant because he's doing this and now it's starting a whole war with the other two. Yeah, you know, now you have these dances or these celebrations. How's your voice after karaoke last night? That sounded right? It sounded a little raspy. You're on fumes, it feels like. I think I slept for about an hour and a half. We were staying. Here it goes again. It was saying they're really late waiting for them to call our name to sing. It was fun. So fritzie had to wait a little while. Stayed up late, and went to karaoke. And we wanted to make some money, obviously, if there's no coverage there, every 20 minutes, a waitress comes trying to make you buy a drink. You know, you have to buy a drink, a $5 drink every hour, she kept telling us. Because it's a bar. It's not a library, Todd. I'm like sipping my Ginger arc. She's bringing America. Everybody's got a public bench or sitting area our park. When you go in there, you buy drinks, they make money and they go home with money. That I understand, but it just seemed like every 15 minutes he's trying to sell us another drink. Get into the wallet and get a Ginger ale. It's like three bucks. I had like four Ginger ales at three cranberries juice on my table with like 45 minutes. It's like, all right, I'll get the drink. Are you okay? I think so. Okay. She comes in today, and he goes, I only got one song. Let me sing one song. You're not anybody special. That ain't no, but to get us higher on the list and we wouldn't have to wait three hours. There was some bribing going on among a couple of staff members to get me. You would have thought that the bar would want to get rid of you. And maybe up the list. But I was told you got to sing and get out. I was told you'll be able to sing two songs in a row. I gave this guy a 20 or whatever, the DJ, and then after I sang my son did not give the guy a 20. You just said you did. No, I saw bribes happening among no, no, you said I gave the guy. We had nothing to do with me. Absolutely. But I was ready to sing a second song and then some other people came out. Yeah, do you think one of our crew paid 20 so Tod could sing and someone else in a crowd paid 40 to have time not seeing another song? It is possible. Because that's how it works. They may have made some money there. I turned to the guy I said, my friend just gave you a little 20 under the table that I thought I'd get two songs. And he's like, you have to go back into the rotation. I guess you had to give him at least a 50 to be able to sing two songs in the room. So the Buffalo Bills will join us coming up. Do you get acclimated to the weather where he's going to look at this and go, hey, I'm coming from buffalo. It's 45° here. It feels cold to the people in Arizona, but for us, from the east coast, it's like, this is good. Yeah, pulling. Stefan went Minnesota to buffalo, so he's double tough. You think this is a breeze for him? Yeah. Yeah, more. But Minnesota in a dome, so 8 of those were nice costumes. Got to go outside. Minnesota is not a bubble. Do you have to? Could you go from your garage to your car to can you park in Minnesota? They have the whole Skywalker. What we did was you don't actually have to go outside. The first Super Bowl that was there. I remember you didn't go outside. It felt like you just kept going from one area, bubble to another, staying warm. All right, so he'll join us. What's poll question today? You know, not only is it meat Friday, but it could also be a Friday fritzi. I mean, did I just bring the room down there for a minute? About that. I like he sends him poll questions and he color codes them and everything, and it's getaway day. Todd is so nervous he's going to miss his flight today. I think I'll be okay, but you will be okay. And I always feel that. Why don't you leave now? I think you already have. Yeah. Part of you has. I barely caught my connection from Philly to here, so I had a bad experience last night. The Super Bowl. Nobody cares. But I was huffing and puffing and I was getting pains in my rib cage and I just got there before they closed the door on me. Tada's mock headlines, I guess. You didn't send them to me to said I have mock headphones. I sent them to Paul. Oh, you did. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, we're gonna do them. Nice to sell it. Just a suggestion to produce it up a little bit. I'm hearing Ryan and Honolulu Honolulu also has a couple of my headlines. Maybe he could do three Fritz you could do three Super Bowl showdown type stuff. Read it and weep that. Okay. That's good TV. All right. Or bad TV. All right. What the Kelsey? Hey, what's the poll question today? Okay. I have a few. The first one I had put down here is, where are you watching Super Bowl 57 Sunday at home? Friend or family member's home? I'm not gonna watch the game at all, or I got tickets bought. Excuse me? What is Trump just saying? Can you say that? Is that an FCC problem? I wrote BEE YO TCH exclamation point. However you want to know, you can't say that. I just spelled it that instead. I won't say it twice. I got two. There's multiple reasons you can't say that. What are you doing? I don't know. What are you doing? I just thought it would be clever instead of just yes or no, true or false. I'm going to the game. I'm going to my friend's house. I'm buying this newspaper. Yeah. Okay, just take it. Take it. It's all yours. You got off the bus. We could party now. What? There's a flight to Hartford. He can get on now if you want him to. We'll give you the second one. I got two more. You know what? How about we have the fans vote? Yes. I got tickets. We never used that option before. That

Yeah, so that's <Speech_Male> my question <Speech_Music_Male> for them. <Speech_Male> Who is this <Speech_Male> Minnesota team? Is it <Speech_Music_Male> the one we <SpeakerChange> saw to <Speech_Music_Male> dominated the <Speech_Music_Male> week one <Speech_Music_Male> or the question last <Speech_Male> night laying an egg on <Speech_Male> the road <SpeakerChange> in prime <Speech_Male> time? Yeah, good <Speech_Male> <Advertisement> question. And this <Speech_Male> <Advertisement> is, <Speech_Male> you know, <Speech_Male> <Advertisement> it's this Kurt <Speech_Music_Male> <Advertisement> cousin. <Speech_Music_Male> <Advertisement> It's literally what <Speech_Music_Male> <Advertisement> he's done <Speech_Male> <Advertisement> for us. His <Speech_Male> <Advertisement> whole career. You <Speech_Male> <Advertisement> know, whenever <Speech_Male> whenever the <Speech_Music_Male> expectations <Speech_Music_Male> get beyond the <Speech_Music_Male> limitations, <Speech_Music_Male> he brings <Speech_Music_Male> his right back down. <Speech_Music_Male> Don't expect <Speech_Music_Male> too much. But literally, <Speech_Music_Male> that is what <Speech_Music_Male> I've seen <Speech_Music_Male> from him. And <Speech_Music_Male> now the question, <Speech_Male> the question <Speech_Music_Male> is, <Speech_Music_Male> <Speech_Music_Male> <Speech_Music_Male> more, I'm more <Speech_Male> concerned about that. I want <Speech_Music_Male> to see Detroit. <Speech_Music_Male> <Advertisement> You know, is it, <Speech_Music_Male> <Advertisement> you know, hey, <Speech_Male> <Advertisement> you have a bad <Speech_Male> <Advertisement> game, take two <Speech_Male> <Advertisement> lines and call me in the morning, <Speech_Music_Male> you know? <Speech_Music_Male> It's like, are they <Speech_Music_Male> still that team? <Speech_Music_Male> Minnesota had <Speech_Male> a bad game. <Speech_Male> Oh, who do you have <Speech_Music_Male> coming in? <Speech_Music_Male> You know? It's like, oh, you <Speech_Music_Male> got Detroit. You'll be <Speech_Music_Male> good. Or <Speech_Music_Male> you got the bears, you'll be <Speech_Male> good. Is <Speech_Music_Male> that the <SpeakerChange> same? Yeah, I <Speech_Music_Male> don't think so. I think <Speech_Music_Male> Detroit's pretty good. Would <Speech_Music_Male> you have liked to have played <Speech_Male> <Advertisement> for a guy like Dan <Speech_Music_Male> <Advertisement> Campbell? Obviously, <Speech_Music_Male> <Advertisement> <SpeakerChange> you didn't <Speech_Music_Male> <Advertisement> in your career. <Speech_Music_Male> <Advertisement> <Speech_Music_Male> Dick vermeil <SpeakerChange> and <Speech_Male> Jim Morris. Two more <Speech_Male> was I'm gonna say <Speech_Male> Jim Moore had a <Speech_Male> little bit of that in him. <Speech_Male> But <Speech_Male> here's what it is. <Speech_Male> You know he has <Speech_Male> his players back. <Speech_Music_Male> That's <Speech_Music_Male> <Advertisement> the thing, like <Speech_Male> Morris. Two more <Speech_Male> was I'm gonna say <Speech_Male> Jim Moore had a <Speech_Male> little bit of that in him. <Speech_Male> But <Speech_Male> here's what it is. <Speech_Male> You know he has <Speech_Male> his players back. <Speech_Music_Male> That's <Speech_Music_Male> <Advertisement> the thing, like <Speech_Male> that's all <Speech_Male> you want from me I had coaches <Speech_Male> to know he has your <Speech_Male> best interests. And <Speech_Male> sometimes you don't know. <Speech_Male> Sometimes it's <Speech_Male> all about the organization <Speech_Male> or is about job <Speech_Male> security for the coach, <Speech_Male> it's not about you as <Speech_Male> a player <Speech_Male> concerned about your career, <Speech_Music_Male> your well-being. <SpeakerChange> <Speech_Music_Male> Yeah. Seems like he's like that. <Speech_Music_Male> All right, last game, <Speech_Male> two zero <Speech_Male> two teams, raiders <Speech_Music_Male> at Titans. <Speech_Music_Male> <Advertisement> One of these teams <Speech_Music_Male> <Advertisement> is going to be zero and three, <Speech_Music_Male> and pretty <Speech_Music_Male> much their chances of making <Speech_Music_Male> the playoffs are nil, <Speech_Music_Male> both these teams <Speech_Music_Male> made the playoffs for <Speech_Music_Male> last year. What are <Speech_Music_Male> you looking for in this game <Speech_Male> and whoever is Owen <Speech_Music_Male> three can they <Speech_Music_Male> still make a playoff <Speech_Music_Male> run? "Just think it's I think it's also, and the winning too, I think that matters. Four rings. I hear you. I always, you know, it always baffles me and I think Gronk is, I think he was awesome. Listen, Tom Brady made a lot of people really good. And we have no idea. They helped him be good. We have no idea that Tom was good with Ben winter coats. It didn't matter who Tom played with that tight end. Wiggins, it didn't matter. Greg was the two tight end. The one tight end was the other guy who was much better than him. I actually thought he was better than Gronk's. He was. He was. Yeah, so that was kind of became the animal that he was with a lot of this stuff. And I think how the game had a game happened. You know, I'm not going to take much away from Tony Gonzalez. He didn't play with the Hall of Fame quarterback. You're not going to find one. And I look at gonzo and what he did and how consistently he did it for so many years. You know, I don't think one of the quarterbacks that he played with, we're going to look at and be like, top ten. I don't know if we'll call him top ten. Yeah, probably not. Mat Ryan might have the numbers, but no one's going to think he's a top ten quarterback of that. I'm just saying, like, there's just something about. And I'm talking pass catch and run blocking. Think about Gronk two is he was kind of the one guy you knew the ball was going to him. And he's still got it. Always. So we're biased, but still. I beg to differ. Wes Welker caught a hundred balls. Edelman caught a hundred balls. Randy boss was there. There was always a Gronk never played together, but when the game was on the line, he was going to grunk in the end zone and more often than not he got it. I did feel like it was a little bit like a horror movie where you're like, you kind of know, don't open the door. It's going to go to Gronk. And same idea. Don't you think? Yes. I thought was going to get it. What's the most catch you see ever had in the year? He's a tight end. He's not supposed to do that. I played running back. I caught 80. It's open about. I will tell you this. You look different though, bro. He caught 82. There you go. And Kellen Winslow is good. I do think your point about element being a quarterback. That was so helpful because what I loved more than anything was the trick place would suddenly it's element and he's got the ball and he's flinging it. He played the game so smart. I understood part of I played quarterback in high school. I understood defenses. And watching him play the game, it was just like, it was fun. He and Tom kind of the same way I was with paid than with Kurt. They knew I understood what they understood about what was going on and making yourself available. It's fun. It's fun when you have that. A lot of receivers that made the trans Heinz war was the same way. That's why he was the guy that goes here on third down. He played quarterback, he understood the little nuances about playing the position and were to be and what to do. It was just like, it was almost like having another quarterback there. We're going to take a break when we come back, Chris brockman's burning questions. That's going to be up next, as well as Ed O'Neill coming up at the top of the next hour and a lot more football talk ahead. Susie Schuster, Marshall faulk,

This stands for history coming up. Big day yesterday and baseball Aaron judge Homer again. Albert Pujols did, as well. I had a friend who works at Arizona state and he goes, what are you doing to us? I go, what do you mean? He goes, you mentioned that, hey, if urban Meyer would come back, Arizona state makes a lot of sense. I go, I'm only telling you what I was told. I'm not saying that there is any traction to urban Meyer wanting to coach again. It's not a report, even though that's how people treated it. I'm telling you the conversation I had where I go, why would Fox bring urban Meyer back? And then my football source said, hey, you know what? If something opens up, I could see him at Arizona state, that's a sleeping giant. You can get your athletes in. It's a great atmosphere, and you could win the pack 12. There's enough talent that you could win. That was it. But then it was there's a report or urban Meyer Arizona state. Never said it, just saying, if that job opens up, I think her Edwards is reportedly on the hot seat there. Could urban Meyer if he got back into coaching? Coach there. That's all it was. Let's see. "In your USD. Well, you're right, but I mean, when we're talking about, you know, maybe double what they'll make annually. I'm not sure what the PAC 12s deal's going to look like. That deal is being currently negotiated. I think it'll be based on what I've heard. I've heard there might even structure it in a way where every team kind of has their own deal in an effort to, you know, if there is future expansion, there's not a grant of rights. So basically let's say ESPN, for instance, gets the deal. They signed a deal with Oregon. They signed a deal with fact 12, but Oregon's payouts different from Cal. And that would kind of adjust accordingly. So if Oregon went to the Big Ten, then ESPN could retain organs rights and this get a piece of the Big Ten deal. I don't know. These are all these all rumor and hearsay. But you're right. I mean, because if you're playing in the Big Ten, the likelihood of getting into the playoffs is still increasingly high because of the strength of schedule. So SC and UCLA will still be benefited after having made the move financially and because of the scheduled, but they'll be able to play. But you're right. I mean, the pack 12 will probably be a one bid league. The Big Ten might have as many as four. In the college football playoff and expanded field. So there's still a lot of value to being aligned with the big boys. Thanks for talking to us. We always appreciate it. "Florida international, Chattanooga, what was Nick Saban's pregame speech with those games as opposed to facing auburn. He was much harder on you those weeks. You know, playing auburn. It's like, all right guys, hey, let's go out there and play hard, you know, but against Tennessee chat. It's like, if you guys don't do this, this, this, you're losing this week. Dan, it's the craziest thing, and I think coach and any coach, you know, little kind of minor in psychology, right? I can vividly remember Tiana against Tennessee Chattanooga. We were ten and O. In 2009, played in the second to last week of the season. 45. I can vividly remember taking the field being like, we better play well, they were going to lose. So you bought into Saban. Convinces you of that. And now my senior year, I was not quite as naive. We're playing against Georgia state or whoever it was. It's like, all right, we're going to smoke these guys. Let's just get out of this thing healthy. But playing against Tennessee chat, my junior year. I mean, he can just, he knows how to press your buttons to the point in which you're never comfortable. You're always uneasy. And when you're uneasy against a team like that, the urgency kind of elevates a little bit. And you know, he's always going to say, we're going to play our standard and all this other stuff. So the messaging is clear. If you don't play well, you will be replaced regardless of who the opponent is. What do you see with USC? The timetable of them coming back into prominence. I think we are so far out in front of our skis right now with SC and people saying they're a playoff team. People saying there are all these other things. They might very well be. But it's going to be by a process of elimination in the PAC 12. If they make it to the college football playoff, it's going to be because they beat a bunch of the teams that probably aren't elite. In an effort to get there, but SC, if you have a quarterback, you have a chance, right? Always. And they have an elite quarterback. I mean, Caleb Williams is phenomenal. It has a couple of years of eligibility left, but he'll be a top 5 pick, no doubt about it. Game changer. But what I was most impressed with the other day was their ball Hawking mentality on defense. And look, Oklahoma had their fair share of ups and downs and Lincoln Riley's tenure on the defensive side. But I actually think they got it right with the higher. It's just going to take a couple of years at Oklahoma to kind of change the culture. But the defense of culture at SC has been lethargic for a really long time. That was probably one of the more inspired defensive performances I've seen. I know it was rice. Let's not get carried away. But you have three picks, 6s. I mean, there's something to be said there. That was the first time they've had multiple pick 6s in a game, I think, in like 20 years. And they had, I believe, one defensive touchdown last year. They had three in the first game of the Lincoln Riley era. So I think they're ahead of schedule, but for us to now starting to starting to lump them in with the best teams in college football. They've got a long way to go before they get there. We always crown a September Heisman. And it might be Anthony Richardson to Florida quarterback. It feels like the guy who is unbelievable and September and maybe not so much in December. Although I'm hearing great things about Richardson that he could be a top ten draft pick. I mean, is that far fetched that he was behind Kyle Trask and that guy could be a higher draft pick than Trask. No, because I mean, we've seen that before. Mitch trubisky was make what make of it what you will. I mean, he was a backup until a senior year behind a guy that was mobile because he was a better fit for the offense. So I think sometimes it's just while Trask was a good player. It was an accurate thrower. I think the more unjustifiable guy that was in front of him on the depth chart was Emory Jones, he was the starter throughout all of last year and Anthony Richardson played at times, but probably should have been the guy from the jump based on what we've seen. When I watched this guy see Vince Young. People have compared in the Cam Newton, people have compared to the Tebow. I don't see it that way at all. I think Tebow was a power runner. He was essentially a fullback, you know, playing quarterback. And then cam was a little bit more physical as well, where it's mostly going to be about his raw power. And he's going to pick up your 5 and 6 yards. Now he can get in the open field, but cam was more physically imposing. When I watch Anthony Richardson, I see Vince Young because of the fluidity and the effortless nature with how he kind of goes about his business. He's so fluid and he's moving. He doesn't even look like he's running, but he's fascinating anyone on the field. He can just the way his body and his head moves and his arm moves and just everything. If you watch them side by side, the comparison is, it's unique just how similar they are. Now, I would also compare him to a sophomore Vince Young. And I grew up in Dallas and went to the Texas Oklahoma game every year. So I watched Vince Young come of age over the course of a four year period. And Vince Young is a sophomore is about where Anthony Richardson is. The freak show athleticism on display every week. But there's also a certain he's a little erratic at times in the passing game. He isn't great on the downfield throws, but it's in there. So it's coming. It's just, that's the path that he's on right now. So yes, he will, I think, in time, be a super elite, multi dimensional player, but right now he's just such a God given athlete. It's just incredible to watch. Before I let you go, I mentioned this in the first hour, the program that we're going to 12 teams by 2026, unless they break the contract, and then they move this up a little bit sooner. But that's a lot of time in college football because a lot of things happen quickly. And I'm wondering if it's a three year window here. And I'm wondering if there's a restructuring of college football over three years to get us to this 12 team playoff where maybe we have 50 or 60 teams that are the haves and then you have nots. Am I too far down the road too quickly with what I think is eventually going to happen in college football? I think that actually the 12 team playoff kind of slows that down a little bit Dan to be honest with you. I thought that that was where we were heading. And I wasn't sure if it was going to be a, you know, a three year period of 5 year period of ten year period with the grain of rights deal with the ACC. They're fairly stable until 2036 or so. But I think the 12 team playoff cools further expansion for the moment. And partly because of the automatic qualifiers. Right now, the structure that they're going to kind of promote is a 12 team playoff with 6 automatic qualifiers meaning the top 6 conference champions as far as the rankings concerned will automatically make the playoff. It doesn't matter if you're from the mountain west or the American or the PAC 12, the big 12, the SEC or the Big Ten, the reward for winning the SEC and the Big Ten is the exact same as the reward for winning a more gettable pack 12. So what would be the reasoning for say an Oregon to leave and join the Big Ten immediately? I don't think that they're going to be in a huge rush. I also don't think that the big tens is in a huge rush to further expand. But does it make more sense though, Greg, USC, why not stay in the PAC 12? Where if you get an automatic birth or Oklahoma, why not stay in the big 12 instead of going in with the big boys here? And maybe there's so much more money to be made, but I was wondering about that. If you get an automatic birth and you win the big 12, who cares? I mean, right? You get that money and or if you win the pack 12

"Spots. Yes. Exactly. Exactly. Yeah. Is that a dining room or a conference room? That could be either. He's the bill's wide receiver, former Vikings, 5th round pick out of Maryland, and one of our favorites. Stefon Diggs, great appearance when we saw him in Minneapolis. Of course, the Minneapolis miracle. And they got the defending Super Bowl champs coming up this Thursday night, and he joins us on behalf of saxe essay, they have something called chief ball officers, and yes, it is underwear. We'll get to that in a moment. Stefan. Welcome back to the program. I'm curious, you got game on Thursday night. How often do you go back into the huddle? And you say to Josh Allen, hey, how about we do this? Or maybe we don't do this anymore. When Josh, not so much because he's the person coming to me like this, hey, let's do this right here. I can't say exactly what he says, but he'd be like, it's fun to say, well, it's a lot of there's a lot of improv with me and Josh because I mean, I feel like we've been together for ten years playing wide receive very quarterback, but we built enough chemistry that would feel like if he likes something and he sees something. I got confidence in it because he saw it. He was saying he's coming from the quarterback position. And if I like something, I'll tell him like, hey, I want this right here. He goes, all right. It's not too much. It's not too much of a bracelet or a friction between me and him. It's more like, okay, let's make it work. We'll figure it out. So yeah. Are you more concerned offensively about Jalen Ramsey or Aaron Donald? Make sure both you gotta know that they're both can be the handful of that time. They're both to be hell of a players at any given time, they can change the game. So as a receiver, you know, I'm more so worried about demand in front of me, but in the back of your mind, you got to know that there is a lot of pressure being taken place. You just gotta trust your online. I trust my whole life. I chose my quarterback. I gotta just get open. I had a job so me to get open to catch the ball. So I just tried my best at doing that. Okay, what happens if Josh takes off and then you have to block and Aaron Donald is chasing after Josh, and you might. I'm gonna run through the wall for him every time. Aaron Donald being the wall. What was your? What was your welcome to the NFL moment? Good or bad. I think in a preseason we played the cowboys and I had like ran like a post in the guy was left inside and the ball was kind of inside and I tried to catch the ball with my body instead of my hands and they picked it and I was like, yeah, I've never tried to catch the ball like that and I was just trying to put my hands on rather than a body catching it. But it was like so many little things like just another thing like that that kind of pimping especially my rookie year I took my lumps my rookie year and I learned a lot and said I had some success as a rookie but not as much as I would have wanted and I liked you so as far as opportunity was, I just started owning it on okay, every opportunity I get, I got to take full advantage of it. How much advice did you give your brother when he first came into the league? A whole lot as far as like how to carry yourself how to approach being a pro how guys would see you and how guys would look at you, my brother is somewhat like me, but he's a different sign and he, you know, he's the baby of the family. So he was he had a little bit. He was a little different. He said, I'm probably a little bit more outgoing and my brother's a little bit more shocked. And he doesn't know my brother might not even talk to you. So for me, I just try to give him some things to hang his hat on going into campus where I was like Rowan as a player, especially when you're young. Your first season, you should be really doing too much talking. Just more so working on this play makes you not only can play in this league, but you can be a good teammate too. So he took into it. He had a solid version, but I saw him in that second year. I really had a couple of conversations with him about making that second year jump. And in my opinion, he made a jump as far as like having some success because his first year, he had got his hands on like 8 bars and dropped like 5 of them. So I was like, all right, if you don't even catch. You'll be fine, so you end up catching more than half, so I was so proud of him. But you only want to teach him so much if you ever face off against him, right? Yeah, I'm not really. I'm not too concerned about. I'll give him the game. You know, like my grandmother used to make used to make what she used to make me. Banana pudding. You know, and even if she gave my mom the rest in peace, my mom still wouldn't have been able to make it how she could make it. So, you know, it's all good. I love that. But, you know, you came in, I don't know if you had a chip on your shoulder, what would you have a 5th round draft pick? Okay, I had the biggest tostitos on my right shoulder and it was definitely something. Looking back, like, I'm in a different, I'm in a different, I'm in a different chapter in my life now, but I damn sure came in with a different kind of chip just because, you know, it's just when you feel like you're talented and you feel like you missed out on some stuff. Like as far as like my opportunity, I feel like I got hurt a little bit in college and I didn't ever want to make any excuses for the thing that I had going on. But when I got that opportunity and NFL was just like, damn, like I finally got my shot. My real shot to succeed. And you know, it's a really blossom. So it was like, it's a field good story. At this point. But also, your father died, what were you 14? Yes, sir. So you got to grow up quickly and then kind of a father figure in the house a little bit? Yeah, a 100%, not a little bit more so if you ask my younger siblings, I did, I did it the best way I knew how as far as meeting by example. So I'm not saying that I was perfect, but I definitely showed we call it the blueprint being me and my siblings, especially now because he hasn't signed a little aid in and you know, I got the daughter, I want to avoid it too, but as far as like the blueprint of showing kids that it's okay to develop toughness. It's okay to love them. It's okay to bring them bring them to the deep end. The whole day ahead too because, you know, you know, nobody wants to really have to do anything alone and it's better to have learning curve with somebody rather than by yourself. So for me, I was just trying to lead by example, started off with discipline and commitment to the thing that I wanted to do and that's the intent of football. You Stefon Diggs, the bills wide receiver, joining us on behalf of saxe, chief ballo officers. So, all right, we're talking underwear, chief ball officers here. What was your reaction when somebody says, hey, I got a product called sacks and it's about underwear. It was a little bit of different conversation, but I definitely, when I first had the conversation, I felt like it was an easy pay for me, especially considering I play wide receiver, I can just pass it. I somewhat deal with balls to say, they look for this new career. So I was like, all right, that's not bad, and the fact that I had my brother with me. I think I could have done it with anybody else, but my brothers. It was a great fit. I wanted to ask you about the back to school giveaway that you were handing out backpacks and this was filled with supplies and gift cards. So you went to tops where the mass shooting happened in Buffalo earlier this year. How did that impact you? And then this Call of

We left off last hour with a huge. I team report waiting to happen, the back room guys, they have their fantasy team. They have the fantasy draft coming up later today, $50 buy in. And Marvin won last year's fantasy league and everybody paid except for one person, and that was Mario. Do we have a comment from Mario? All right, Dan. So I talked to Mario in the back. And it was me him in weeks, our camera guy, and Mariel said, you're missing one big, you know, one big part. Okay. So we did a weight loss challenge, maybe last summer, and Mario one. And so it was a $100. And I paid him over like a four month span. Yeah, basically. And so I was like, you know what? You don't have to rush with paying me the $50. But now we're almost to this season, so I kind of want my money now because I gave you like a full year almost. Whenever the season had 6, 7 months. So purposely withholding this. Correct. Okay. Yeah, that does change a story a touch. No, because according to the statement from Mario last year, I wiped the floor with everyone in the weight loss challenge. Everyone paid me except for Marvin and took him four to 5 months to give said payment. So I think this is like a little payback, light payback. Yes, more. Or not payback. Absolutely. But I want my money now though. It's paid back without paying back. See what I did with that more? But I would say if Mario doesn't pay by today later today, when this show ends, then probably shouldn't be in the fantasy league. Yes. How much money is it? 50, 1500. Yeah. I think it's only fair. I mean, he's proved his point. Okay, we got it. But I think it's now tied to pony up to 50 bucks. Yes. I like when we go to break and then it's like a bombshell like that is revealed that you go in the back and all of a sudden everybody is in a Mario. Is this story true? I know. They're all giving them great yelling down the hallway to him. I knew he wouldn't pay. I know. And then Mary was like, I got, I have a reason why. And I'm like, all right, so I figured Pauly would get the I team on and he has done, of course. Just that. Jeff and Detroit leads us off this hour. Hi Jeff, what's on your mind today? Two time for the backbone Bros had a good weekend so much so that yesterday I'm listening on serious and then rerunning your show. But I think in this actual you guys, I'm trying to call in, you know. Listen, you guys were talking about 9 baths for a bedroom. I couldn't be the only one that's thinking to that self. Todd will probably really love that house. I even do that in my house. We don't have a lot of bathrooms but I like to kind of spread things around. Thank you. Thank you, Joe. So to speak. Russell Wilson, junior, the third they have four bedrooms, 20,000 ft² home, their 7 full baths, and then there's 5 half bath. Why? Why not? Yeah. Yes. But four bedrooms and 9 spots for cars seems a little crazy. Yeah. More than double the more parking spots in your garage than you do full baths. More than twice. Yes, yes, yes. But they strike me as a couple who might have a lot of people around them at all times. So maybe you need a lot of parking, but that maybe those people go home to sleep in their own place, but they're around the house all day. So there's a lot of people who need to use bathrooms and need parking

Yeah, 3 a.m. to watch a giants game, wow. My question for you is do you think Daniel Jones has a legitimate NFL future? I like how we brought in Tyrod Taylor this off season because I feel like he will really push DJ during camp and Tyrod has proven he can be a serviceable quarterback in this league if DJ doesn't work out. I personally think Daniel Jones can improve and be a good quarterback if given better protection and if our weapons around him can stay healthy. Example, Sterling shepherds take on Berkeley, Kenny gallaudet, Carrie Tony. I truly believe that if we moved off of Daniel Jones, he could go somewhere and have a Ryan Tannehill like resurgence. What are your thoughts on this statement? And keep up the great content mate, I appreciate you. Okay, here's what I'll say. Dana Jones has a ton of potential. I think you're right about that. I see a possibility where Daniel Jones becomes the franchise guy that we think he could become in New York. He's a great athlete, he's a smart guy. I'm very excited to see what Brian dabel can do with him. Brian Davis, a head coach now in New York. He was the offensive coordinator in Buffalo with Josh Allen. He developed Josh Allen into an elite quarterback. And Josh Allen worked his butt off did a lot of stuff with Jordan Palmer. It's not all the credit going to the coach, but the coach did something right there. And I could see a world where he does something right with Daniel Jones and Daniel Jones explodes and is really, really good. Because the ability is there. He fumbles too much, but he can run. I'd love to see him extend plays a little more, do some different stuff. I think with a good coach, helping him out and giving him advice and working with him..

"And they need a left tackle. They could get both of them in the first round. I think that, hey, you build a run Jameis, get a left hack, we'll get a big receiver. You're not a bad football team. Like, there's a lot going for the New Orleans Saints if they just invest in the team they already have. Now they could use one of those picks on a get a left tackle or they get a receiver and then they use the second pick on like Matt corral or Kenny Pickett or something like that. I don't know. Can he pick it instead of Jameis? Is that really an upgraded? That's a weird one to me. I wouldn't feel pretty weird about that. I mean, maybe Jameis will make it's very possible, can you pick it's a better decision maker than Jameis, but Jameis is way more talented. It's a weird tradeoff there. There'd be an interesting debate to have. I don't want to have it today. If New Orleans really likes one guy, maybe they love Malik Willis, they could package their two first round picks together and move up in the draft to go get leak Willis or go get Matt corral. So I'm excited, man. The NFL Draft at the end of the month is going to be it's gonna be really exciting. I can not wait. I'm still looking forward to it. And that trade made it even more interesting. Let me check my text real quick. Okay. Okay, my plans moved back an hour. So I was worried, meeting up with a friend, and she said, hey, can we move our plans back? Another hour and I'm like, good, because I'm in the middle of recording. I literally don't want to leave right now anyway. Buffalo Bills wide receiver Stefon Diggs got a big new payday. Again, he's already got a two year $25 million deal. So he's going to be making a lot of money in the next 6 years of his life..

Ms in two weeks of training camp. And, uh, you know, and still dealing with fatigue. Admittedly, he said last week, he used to getting tired a little bit during practice, so I was surprised. I thought they might want to get a more practice time and then play him a little bit against Green Bay, but it made sense to get him out there. He wasn't out there very long. Got to check my notes. One series, maybe a second series and just to get him some some football snaps, actual game snaps. I think I understand why he did that. Um, normally, Dawkins would be on that list of Don't play him. Because as much as we talk about depth, and this is a very deep roster, a very talented and deep roster now there are certain guys. Of course you do not want injured Josh and Stefon Diggs. But you know you maybe you can tread water would be above water actually actually could be above water. I mean, with true biscuit. He looks very comfortable in this offense. Diggs is a huge factor, but God forbid something happened to him. Beasley, Sanders Davis Mackenzie Kumerow. I mean, it's not like there's garbage behind him. There is there are big question marks in terms of backup tackles. I don't know if it would be Spencer Brown. It's a tough spot to put a rookie in at left tackle. If something happens to Dawkins, um Ryan Bates plays everywhere on the line. That's um that is one spot where you would say HM. Might be an issue next guy up, so I think they play Dawkins just because he missed the two weeks Normally, I would not play Dion Dawkins. And I think Sean McDermott is done this the right way. Um, Any guy who's had any kind of an injury, missed any practice time like Sanders No need to play him. You know the other day, they played a few more starters than they did against Detroit. Feliciano played Dawkins played. Um, actually, that's it. Those? I think those are the only two offensive starters that did not play against the Lions, but did play again. Chicago albeit briefly. Ford played. You're not surprised by that because he's trying to win. He's in a battle for a starting spot. Singletary and knocks were the only two starters. I mean, tactically, I don't know that there is a clear cut starting running back, but Singletary Plate Knox played, but he's really done know Morse, No Williams. Beat. There's no need to play Beasley. Sanders digs any of those guys and I think and Josh Allen doesn't need to play. I don't know what they do Saturday. I'm curious whenever that announcement comes about the plan for Saturday because Clearly, Sean McDermott has adjusted his thinking. I think one of two things one for sure. The expectations how good this team is going to be. I still keep thinking back. The day they announced Josh Allen's new contract right and they had not. I don't think they made the announcement came out after practice. And then and then McDermott met with the media being met with the media. Josh Element with the medium term it jokes or being joked. One of them joked about hearing whistles at the practice. Let's get some quick whistles. We don't anything I don't want anything happened Josh renouncing his big contract today. I don't think they should play Josh Allen. I don't think they want to play Josh Allen. The only thing and I don't think this is why you would change your roster plans, by the way is it's a home game..

NFL Players React to COVID Outbreak Policy
"We're talking about the NFL's protocols. Vaccination protocols, health and safety protocols. The fact that unvaccinated players and for staff if they lead to an outbreak, The team has to pony up money. Lost revenue. The players on both teams. Both teams lose game checks. And, Yeah, you get a loss on your record. You forfeit the game, But you getting lost. You don't play that game again. The NFL is basically putting it's foot to the next of players to kind of pressure them to get vaccinated. The NFL is a business that ain't messing around with their money. DeAndre Hopkins just semi threatened retirement and he was just like No, I'm Don't worry about it. He deleted the tweet. He's like, Hey, I plan on being here for nine more years. Jalen Ramsey said. Look, I am not going to pressure my teammates. He says. Whatever they do, they do. He says. I get it. I'm not going to pressure anybody. Stefon Diggs is talking about accountability is availability. He's in favor of, you know players getting vaccinated. Baker Mayfield says that it will be a competitive advantage for any team that's vaccinated. The majority. He says. It's way more than that. It's about safety, general health and well being of human life.

Let's get real about the fake crowd noise at NFL games
"Revisit the Rams and Seattle Seahawks game. I hated watching the Seahawks game because it was there are so many moments where the crowd fake crowd noise was really really loud above the broadcasters like Tom and all these trying to talk on the sidelines and you couldn't hear him cuz a stupid fake crowd noise, which is even weirder cuz you know that the people on the sidelines Jared Goff Russell Wilson, he came backed up. They don't hear fake crowd noise only people watching the game on T. Hear the fake crowd noise. I hate it so much. I'd rather honestly hear the noise of people on the sidelines. Or people at the line of scrimmage yelling. I was going crazy at one point on the sidelines. We couldn't hear the guy at all cuz of the fake crowd noise and I A friend of mine from high school plays for the LA Rams and I'm going to wait till he retires to ask him this question, but I want to have them on the Shelf someday to be like hey, what do you like to play a playoff game with an empty Stadium? I know the NFL doesn't really seem to answer that question just yet. There's a reason why you haven't heard anybody complaining about it, but I'm so desperate to know like what's it like to play in NFL game? I'll be damned meaningful playoff game a meaningful NFL game with nobody in the crowd and you can hear everything. It sounds like an empty gymnasium or an empty gym. Like I I want to hear what that sounds like and what what it's like to play in that circumstance and I just hated the fake crowd noise in the Seattle Seahawks Rams game

Stefon Diggs Is Buffalos Miracle Man
"The best season of his pro career right now. How good are things going in buffalo. I mean really good. Pablo like you said. I mean you know again this is. This is a team. Obviously that has a lot of scar tissue for a difficult times in the past and so the bills themselves are they won. The division for the first time in a couple of decades and digs is right at the center of their success. I'm always staying for buffalo trust and believe in me. I'm forever grateful personally. He is having the best season of his career. He's averaging i think twenty yards more per game step touched up. He's leading the league in receptions josh allen. Taking a deep shot the separation from dixon. He's and he's doing in so many different ways dick's just electric on the outside best received early. Nfl this season so he's been outstanding and the cherry on top came against the broncos digs broke the bills franchise record for receptions allen fires. This one is caught about step addict. Steph dick sets the club record with one hundred and one catches on the season. Congratulate is showing the bills and the whole nfl just how versatile a receiver he really is. You interviewed him for your cover story. Sam what was he like in person burg. I honestly i came into it. A little bit unsure what to expect when i sat down and started talking with digs though it became clear very quickly that he's an upbeat guy. A positive guy a guy who likes to laugh a guy smile. A guy who really enjoys fashion is a little bit eccentric at various points. We talked about the books. He's been reading. He really enjoyed the alchemist his a starbucks order which is apparently tavon green tea with a little bit of juice in it. Well so he loves the alchemist the book. He's apparently an alchemist. Like juice in your starbucks order really y- apparently he's really into it and i have to say as somebody who enjoys green tea and also enjoys apple juice. I had never thought put them together. But it's actually not bad. I want to rewind a bit sam. Talk about he got to where he is now. That trade in question which happened in march minnesota to buffalo. What was going on with digs in the vikings before that so let's go back a little bit right. He's drafted by the vikings in two thousand. Fifteen comes out of the university of maryland sort of work his way in take advantage of the opportunities and then the minneapolis miracle case on a deep drop. Step up in the pocket. He'll fire to the right side. Does it does that catch in. January of two thousand. Eighteen is arguably the greatest play in vikings history. And they've been around for over sixty years so that's pretty significant. You would think in that moment. Okay this is a play. That's going to define this guy's career and it's going to link him forever to this team. Damn bill says i. I got a Never stop working. Today was went all the work paid off and this is where i found his arc interesting within a year and a half or so. He's absolutely miserable. And even though you might have thought hey. This guy could spend his whole career with the vikings. After having this moment it became very clear that that wasn't going to be the case. So what went wrong in minnesota. Why was he so unhappy.

Greg Bedard Patriots Podcast with Nick Cattles
What Is Wrong With Cam Newton and the Patriots Offense?
"To ask a questions about Camp because I want to know what we're watching here and what I mean by that is this is somebody who was considered throughout his entire NFL career to be a top ten to twelve came back. He was never great from the pocket. He was never super accurate, but he was not a dumpster fire. So what's happening is is it he's just off falling off a cliff at age Thirty-One, which doesn't necessarily happen very often if at all at the quarterback position where a guy just you know goes from the top ten to twelve guy to just plummeting to literally one of the you know, 557 worst quarterbacks in the League this year. Is it physical with him Jay Glazer said before the game in Glazier usually has some really good information, you know, he kind of keeps a lot of the stuff in his pocket, but when he drop off stuff, it's usually dropping a bomb unless it's, you know, teasing 24 hours out and offensive lineman with covid-19 another story, but you know, you've got you've got Glazer coming out saying he's in an awful lot of pain. Is it is it that like what I just there needs to be a reason Greg there needs to be a reason why I saw a Cam Newton for eight to nine years in Carolina again not be supervised celebrated with a program and and not be you know, incredible breaking defenses down but still effective and now this guy is completely completely a mess. I'm just trying to make sense of it. Is it is it is it physical that he fall off a cliff is this what he is like are the Patriots not necessarily utilizing him in a manner like Carolina did which would make him more effective. I want to get to the bottom of it cuz I feel like what a lot of people are doing right now and it's it's listen. It's Justified criticize them all you want he's been bad, but I feel like we're more criticized in the result instead of asking why like what has gone wrong is this just the inevitable deterioration of a guy who took a lot of hits and is now what he is. I don't know what the answer is. Yeah. Well here's Answer it's a lot of little things that have sort of added up and gotten us to this point because I think you know really I mean really in the past month. He's been bad. In fact that you would say he was average or a little bit above average but I think on the whole this season, I would say Cam Newton is average number one. As far as factors would Newton and why he's not better why it's not working here. Number one for me is he's no longer. He doesn't have the legs. He used to have he is no longer. He's fine, He's still elusive, but he's an aging mobile quarterback and that doesn't really work and that's always been part of the equation with Cam going back to Auburn. Anyone Heisman Trophy you can teams had to respect his legs. They realized they no longer have to respect his legs because he's not going to just dominate a game with his legs anymore. He doesn't have that ability would be so instead of instead of being afraid of Cam in and being like we have to have eyes on cam and we have to do this and that they're know in playing Zone soft his own. They're no longer. They they realize they no longer have to do that. So, you know, they're just stacking the box and they'll play cover-3 on the outside or man-to-man or what-have-you. They they do whatever they want to do coverage wise cuz they know cams not going to beat them. I mean at most what's he going to get ten fifteen yards? Like he's not going to change the game. Number two is the Patriots just distinct lack of weapons and we'll talk about this anymore in a little bit. But I mean look the Patriots are goddamn horrible at everywhere other than running back and offensive line. I mean they are they're I mean, they're awful. They are awful. They're awful in this division there at the bottom of the Barrel in this division below the Jets below the Dolphins certainly below the bills. I mean, they're just it's falling off a cliff. I mean they have nothing they have no tight ends. They have no wide receivers. They they have running backs. Yeah. They have a great offensive line. Yeah, but it's only going to get you so place so so it's all on cam like when you when you take off If if Cam had better weapons if he was saved the bills, I mean if he had Stefon Diggs and Cole Beasley and John Brown and like, you know Gabriel Davis and Dawson box and you know, all these guys all over the place where you can spread them out and they gotta be like, oh crap. Well, we got a double digs because what's going to happen like Then then cam might be able to do some things like between his legs and the lack of weapons. There's just the Patriots are just they're in a telephone booth. They can't they the quarterback can't do anything with the offense of coordinator can't do anything like to me you combine all those things. Plus there's probably some residuals shoulder stuff with Cam you combine all those things? Yeah, and you're right. It's it's not good in offense right

Buffalo Bills acquire Diggs from Vikings for 4 picks
"Radio back to the NFL some big moves Monday as the talking began Tom Brady hasn't made a decision although some of the decisions may be impacting him meanwhile we know Amari Cooper will be staying with Dallas end the bills reportedly acquiring Stefon Diggs of the Vikings for four draft picks earlier on ESPN radio on Freddie inferred Simmons giving up a first fifth sixth for a guy who has been a massive headache in your locker room for the last two years and and during a you know a playoff game wild card game against the saints when I got but ends up winning the game right exactly Kirk cousins goes to Kyle Rudolph instead of digs no no I'm not some of the game winning touchdown time out at third or those of third down conversion and and they converted and digs goes off the field and throws his helmet into the bench do it you got a first down you about winning the game were just by yourself oh wait yeah we we we we know what you're about so I don't get giving up that much to get him outside from the public but from a kid a skill standpoint I do get it I knew they would take that better back to back thousand yard seasons I mean he is a remarkable talent my problem with Gallic Biggs is in the room because when he's not being targeted he's a pain in the rear end I wonder how much of this is the findings wanted out of Minnesota so badly that he was going to act like that now I'm not trying to explain it not condoning it all in but I wonder how much a whatever led to him wanting a break wanting a divorce in the Minnesota Vikings whatever that was it could be Adam Phelan and his emergence or you want to play a Kirk cousins wait a problem Mike Zimmer whatever it was the findings have enough for Minnesota and he did everything possible verbally invent action wise to make sure that they were not going to keep him even early today when Kirk cousins got his extension the findings was not have a leader was not even Catholic high thought he said I guess it's time to get out here tell me about the Minnesota he was determined to get out of whatever led to the break I don't know what it was but he got his wish now the findings you got what you want to handle it because if you don't people gonna say you had a good thing going to Minnesota where they were building my United Phelan and that wasn't good enough for you buffalo reportedly sending four picks to Minnesota a first a fifth or sixth in twenty twenty and a fourth rounder in twenty twenty one while also getting a seventh rounder back this spring from the Vikings Diggs is in the second year of a five year seventy two million

Bills to land WR Diggs in trade with Vikings

R. the bills are sending a first round pick a fifth round pick a sixth round pick and twenty twenty one fourth round pick for digs and a twenty twenty seventh round pick she thinks the Texans feel right now yeah that's a ton that's W. said I mean that's the whole that's the whole you're given up for de Andre Hopkins or at least what should have been writing up for de Andre Hopkins yeah he is no where Stefon Diggs being is nowhere near the caliber of receiver that the Andre Hopkins is now no he's not and that's amazing what a great move for the bills huh great move for the bills the Vikings get more and so so now the Vikings become well you you would think better he didn't want to play for the river last year with the injuries they had a tight end out wide receiver that also him not getting the ball and prodding and being upset that he didn't get the ball and now do you see the contract getting paid to Kirk cousins it

I mean they have tyreek Hill entirely kill is is arguably the fastest player in the history of the National Football League. I've had scouts tell me he was the fastest player they ever scouted. They went to Oklahoma state. Never seen speed like that and they've seen some speed come into stillwater stillwater. So they can look he t takes it end around or heaped brings a punt for a touchdown tyreek Hill could have one of those games is. Is it likely no but they can still win. They're going to need somebody offensively to have an other worldly performance in addition pat homes. I think to win this

Broncos Finalizing Deal to Make Pat Shurmur New Offensive Coordinator
"Well we just talk to my class are brokers insider who told us that the deal is done with that tactic Schirmer to be the new see for the Denver Broncos official press release from the team hopefully coming sometime before the end of the week big al with Schirmer being the new offense of coordinator what do you see as the pros and cons for this this young this young offense with the very young rookie quarterback is gonna be going into your to what I'm looking for are the things that that you can give a team and that's easy to roles and I always talk about this because I believe that that's the key to winning football games in this league how can you create an easy throw a one on one getting the guy wide open like we saw Devine to Adam's last night plan for the Packers you know the Packers go with the heavy formation they run a play that look like it's going to be a post but it then it turns into a corner is a seven right and then you look up and you say all my goodness the guy has a football it's one on one coverage he makes one guy miss and any out runs the coverage that's it easy to roll okay it's not fit the ball in the window it's not a drop back play act soon getting a guide you know own a seventeen yard dig route it's none of those things it's making the girls that the good players make to wide open guys but you have to design those plays for those guys to be wide open and the quarterback shouldn't be surprised when a wide open and when they're not wide open take the ball and run it that's what the good teams in the NFL do that's how you win football games in this business by getting your quarterback easy throws that you can feel good about and we didn't do that especially not against the Kansas City Chiefs are we rich gang real and I hate to see guys getting fired trust me it's it's not it's it's you know nobody wants to see that I wish there was a way that he could have stayed on and work with the quarterbacks something of that nature but maybe it's maybe it's too muddy if he's in Rome but you know it just we just have to have a change in and once again the greatest throws in the NFL aren't necessarily the ones that are forty M. fifty yards down the field like we saw this weekend but we also saw we also saw Patrick my homes we were out to the running back I think it was Williams out of the backfield on what looked like to be a six star pass it ended up being a seventeen yard touchdown the design of the play against the covers that was played was perfect and the guy had a free run to the end zone I mean those are the plays that you expect out of a great offensive coordinator and that's certainly what I'm looking forward Pat Shurmur who spent a lot of time with Andy Reid and Philadelphia I take it I think he was there for at least ten seasons with Andy Reid going from offense of line coach tidy and coats two quarterbacks coach so he understands the offense it's complete and of course in that Minnesota offense that's what we have to go last because that's where he was calling plays exclusively you look at that team and what they were able to do and the way that they brought on Adam Thielen out of no where to become a star well you know that he understands what kind of receipt what the receivers need to look like and not how they need to run there are so many different ways that we can look at this as be an improvement to be an improvement to what we had last year in part of it believe it or not Joe Joe is evaluating players for the upcoming draft that's a big big part of it because trust me there is a common formula to run in this offense and really make it work Stefon Diggs is the guy that blows the doors off of the defense is for the Minnesota Vikings before we and you look at back at Pat Shurmur when he was with Andy Reid it was the son Jackson now what is a in to read as he has he'll explosive wires see what to add to re kill who blows the doors off so I'm almost guaranteed you I'm almost guaranteeing you were going to find a guy that can blow the doors off of the defense in round one or two of this year's NFL draft that's how you make that all things work do you have a guy that can a workhorse guy who can catch the balls and make it happen that's called sudden but we need one of those guys that is scary says that blows the doors off the defense the evaluation process of what that guy looks like I trust Pat Shurmur more than I do John Elway to

Vikings' Stefon Diggs Addresses Trade Rumors Ahead of Giants Match-Up
"Have a an epidemic in the NFL Stefan digs now is letting it be known that because times are getting tough in the modern fell times get tough trade me. Get me out of here. I'm not happy be I don't need to play out to my contract. I will be sick. I will go home and then I will try to force your hand to trade me. He came back to the team. After missing a practice yesterday digs eggs and this isn't a season in which we know everything has gone badly right now going badly right now for Minnesota's offense very small sample size by the way but he is not getting targeted targeted the way he did lassie's not even close Stefan digs and on the same week that Adam Phelan called out the offense and the quarterback leading kirk cousins weirdly publicly apologizing to Adam feeling the other wide receiver then lets it be known that he wants Outta town so Minnesota has a lot of issues right now and it's kind of an interesting time for them to go face a giants team that despite back to back wins known is GonNa Confuse this defense with the eighty six giants Minnesota if they just figure out some type of game plan and finds a balance of their offense you would think they should be able to move the ball and if they don't and Danny dimes James and I don't think say quantum Barclays playing but apparently he is he is possible they says not practicing as of Thursday but apparently he's such a superman that it's he's getting close but even without Saquon Barkley at the Vikings find a way to to win this game and if they look bad doing it we might have a mutiny on our hands with the old Viking

Stefon Diggs on trade rumors: “There's truth to all rumors”
"But we will start in Minnesota we we stefan digs and his current situation the vikings white out missed practice for undisclosed reasons yesterday and it led to speculation about his future with the Vikings today today dig said he has not requested a trade but did admit there is true to all the reverse. He said that he's unsure. His agent has talked to the Vikings and what has transpired can't sit up here like everything is everything is okay his obviously not but but I can't say at this point it just trying to work. Do I feel like there's no matter how you sit up. I won't be saved speaking on that off off. Everybody's known to be rethinking the next one that team guy always predicting but for myself. I never made it just about me. I've never been that kind of so my resume persona kind of speaks for itself. I've never been to got to kind of be off. Be like me me me and wanting to have success. I WANNA have team. Success is always what I've been pushing them always without push so my language was stated saying whether I'm giving many opportunities not not not a lot. Have you asked for trade if you haven't communicated anything more so the conversation has been about teen and China had success food ah I haven't spoke to them you gotTa talk to play Sunday. hopefully then you play. I like football. I want to be part of I want to the apart play football on Sundays on CBS practice today you anticipate house and I feel a little bit better as to Yeah Courtney Cronin joins us now from Minnesota. She was there when dig spoke and Courtney. You heard him say. There's there's truth to all those rumors. What's your take a what exactly he met. Wendy he kept repeating that phrase multiple times throughout his media the reliability this morning and I think that that's him not completely closing the door that we're all he did say when I asked him straight out dicky requested trade you want lots traded and he said I had not communicated that and then obviously you have to follow up about his agent. You didn't fully close the door saying that no. I wanted to be your completely like that. Is there some uproot that there might be some validity what we've been hearing me Hainan seeing that this has been something that's been brewing probably for a little bit of time now so. I think what you were. Each phrase wants to continue to say it while he did say walk this year and he's been here for five years. He loves everything about teammates. I think he's questioned what you have to bring his question about whether he's feel value. He does have a role in the offense but it is minutes role than it was US last year and obviously you've been obsolete. I come in the steam because that kind of brings things to a head to where we're at right now. Wondering are we've seen the end of the era. Is this the beginning of something that we should be more concerned with or just going to blow over eventually because feel there's fire. I'm Greg it courtney. Thank you yeah I think in this case. It's fair to say there is some fire that smokes coming from Joe Joe. I'll ask you first of all about attentional trade market for digs if he were to move on well. I spoke to a team last night that I know would specifically definitely be interested in step on just because they expressly told me that and then last night I think an inquiry was made in they came back and said that they were told that Stefan was not going to be on the market and I see we're hearing during that today in terms of other people following up on the reporting what we do know about stuff on digs at here's a career worst three catches per game and five targets per game and and even though he's coming off a career-best production with over a thousand receiving yards and nine touchdowns his production in the two years prior to this season. It's still been under Adam Adam feeling and you know he's working with the new offensive coordinator and Kevin Stefanski and prior to that obviously was Pat Shurmur. WHO's the head coach of the giant so I think talk. You're looking at a receiver who feels like he can do more. You might even feel like he's the best receiver on the team and he's right. He is not a Mimi Guy in terms terms of how he portrays himself publicly. I've covered him a lot of times. I was there for the Minnesota miracle of so many of his games and by comparison you would definitely not put him out there but off in that sense but just listening to his words and the fact that he did leave the door open with certain things that he said he is letting you know that he is frustrated in that also think that that it fits within the era of athletes right now this season and last season being more vocal about their situations taking more control of where they feel like they can best flourish and I'm getting the hint although I have not talked to him directly or his agent that he's trying to let people know that he feels like everything is not completely kosher dill. It's funny you say that Joe Joe and I think Steve Young. You made the point two weeks ago with the genie sort of being out of the bottle I this is another example of a player. I think trying to sort take some control of a situation a situation that from his perspective is not working the way he'd like it to work yeah. I think it's a direct reflection on the quarterback play that that's been in Minnesota. Obviously his diminished role isn't because of injury or lack of talent. It's because the quarterback isn't getting everybody the ball right. Now I think last ask year when you see how everyone was involved in Adam dealing was getting the football step on digs with everyone was happy. Everyone was performing. Everyone was getting the ball. There were schematically. There were in situations where both of these guys were making big plays and that's what you're used to seeing from the Vikings and I think this year those players just aren't there and there's plays aren't there for those plays aren't necessarily there for Stefan digs for any of those past catches right now because of the quarterback play and I don't know if that's schematics. I don't know if that's simply the quarterback but I think he's unhappy with how he's being utilized and he's taking things into his own hands and to his credit. I've known for some time as well. He's never ever been me guy. He's never been so. This isn't necessarily about putting himself before the team I think at some point he has to look at his career and where he wants to go trajectory wise and make a decision and listening to talk. You almost felt like he had a little bit of emotion coming out when saying I'm a team guy and I'm not a me guy and I'm just trying to put the team. I listen as a football player. I know you can you've experienced this. We only have a certain amount of years and we only have a certain amount of time that we can go out there and play the game so you don't WanNa feel like that. You're wasting a season and I think that's why a lot of guys once they realize look. There's no chance for us to get to the playoffs this year. There's no chance that we're GONNA win in this division this year and teams on the flip side of that. I understand okay yeah. This season is pretty much over so let's try and get some value in some of these guys that are good football players and that's why we're seeing that more this year than maybe in years past. I thought the most interesting thing that he said Real quick when you're asking me if he was going to practice US I don't know I hope so. That's that was the less you know that he has expressed something to the team and he's maybe worried about how they reacted to. How that's what I'm thinking yeah I mean he he clearly was not one hundred percent sure you're next and Steve Young joins US now Steve. We have talked about this before given our conversations and I'm GONNA assume zoom. This doesn't surprise you that we're seeing another example of someone stepping up and saying this isn't working for me no players who are going to continue to demand what's going to be interesting. Is there is is there going to be a market and I think the Jalen Ramsey and if this situation does go forward and these guys are able to get to new teams I I think the ice will break because there are a number I mean everybody in the League has had moments star player now this star players that can do this because they're they're not. GonNa risk career other. You know non star players are not going to risk their careers to demand a trade this cut and so the star players going to say. I know there's a better place for me. I know there's a quarterback it'll throw me the ball and others office coordinator that will take care of me and that's going to continue to grow and I think this is a this is really the really important time Wendy right now awesome because of Jalen Ramsey doesn't get moved and digs does not get moved and the kind of kind of chill this whole thing and can stop it then this market will not not be kind of a burgeoning market but if they start to be able to be moved then everyone the legal realize I can make my way out of here and I wanna be somebody somewhere else and to the to the point just I it was victor. Rodman raw made it but the average career is three point two years in the NFL players are very aware of it. If I'm going to be great I'm going to be great right now. Well there's no question is a pivotal point in the league.
