"It doesn't mean that the hotel the money out. So now that we have genesis coming out with these warnings, what could the potential next shoot to drop be here? What other companies are you watching that have exposure to FTX they could potentially be in trouble? Obviously, we have to be careful right here because we're talking about bankruptcies. We're just genesis is a big vendor, as I said, and they have loans out to many other companies, but they're also a brokerage. So we'll see if there's issues just with they've said so far that the issues are restricted to the lending unit, which means that they're trading operations. They're fine, but if they're trying to raise money, it might signal that there might be problems elsewhere so we have to first follow see what's going on there carefully. And then trying to track all the counterparties, much like FTX, they were very key to or they are very key to the crypto sector. So we'll see if there are funds that money to or other trading counterparties. It kind of can go anywhere. And that's why I think there's a sort of wait and see mode in crypto right now from the big investors. People are waiting to see who might be next. And if it's their counterparty and how they are exposed to risk. And in the meantime, of course, continuing to follow the FTX bankruptcy saga here, the latest filings, what can you tell us about what FTX is reporting in terms of its own financial solvency? Yeah, so they just the new filing shows that they have 1.24 billion in cash FTX and its affiliates, right? And last week they said that they owed creditors the biggest ones. I think something around 3 billion or more. So as sort of the people that are running FTX now, we're saying they're trying to figure out where the money is, who has and even get a clearer sense of things like how many employees they have. So it's kind of all up in the air for now. They're trying to was clear that they weren't keeping track of their assets very well, even their cash balances. So I think it's, again, there, everybody's trying to piece all the elements together to understand who might be old what and where to get those funds. So clearly, FTX founder Sam bankman fried is under scrutiny here. And now we have celebrity athletes like Tom Brady and Stefan curry coming under potentially multiple investigations as well starting off with the Texas regulators looking at them. I mean, where could things go from here in the last 30 seconds in terms of the investigations into FTX and potentially other players in the crypto space? There's different authorities that are looking about the SEC, the CFTC. I think New York authorities as well. And with celebrities, obviously, we've seen previously in cases like with Kim Kardashian that the regulators have been pretty strict that you have to disclose not only that you're obviously a sponsor but how much money you made in sponsoring a cryptocurrency or if that's cryptocurrencies or security. So we'll have to watch carefully and see if anybody did anything that they think could get them in trouble. Yeah, Kim Kardashian certainly learned that the hard way with that post on Instagram. Thank you so much for this and I know you've been very busy along with the rest of your team and we really appreciate the reporting as we continue to watch this crisis unfold

"She added that she brought the vape canisters into Russia because she had packed in haste for her flight. In later testimony, griner described a confusing scene while being held at the airport, saying an interpreter provided by authorities translated only a fraction of what was being said to her, and that officials told her to sign documents, but no one explained any of it to me. She also said she was not informed of her rights. Her lawyers introduced evidence that griner was using the medicinal cannabis for chronic pain and injuries sustained during her career and included a letter from her doctor. Griner testified she was aware that cannabis oil was outlawed in Russia and had not intended to break the law or plan to smuggle anything into Russia. Trials in Russia proceed even after admissions of guilt, and there has been speculation her actions were an attempt to move the legal process along in hopes of a possible prisoner swap. Grinders slow moving case and her nearly 6 months behind bars have raised strong criticism among her supporters in the United States, including her wife, sherrell, that president Joe Biden was not doing enough to win her freedom. Griner sent a personal appeal to Biden and more than 1100 black female leaders urged the administration to make a deal to get Britney back home swiftly and safely and to meet with Britney's wife sherrell immediately. Biden later called sherrell griner to reassure her that he is working to secure Britney's release as soon as possible, The White House said July 6th. Sherrell griner, who also spoke with vice president Kamala Harris. Later said she was grateful to the both of them for the time they spent with me and for the commitment they expressed to getting BG home, using her wife's initials. On July 27th, U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken said Washington has offered a deal to Russia aimed at bringing home griner and Whelan in a sharp reversal of previous policy. Details of the proposal were not announced, though a person familiar with the matter said, the U.S. has offered to trade convicted Russian arms dealer Viktor bout for Whelan and griner. The person insisted on anonymity to discuss an ongoing investigation. Her detention was made public only after Russian troops moved into Ukraine, as relations between Russia and the United States hit new lows after Washington led the west in bringing sanctions against Moscow. Greiner's plight has been highlighted by her supporters at home, including top athletes, especially after little news emerged from her initial weeks of detention in Russia, where she had limited access to officials from the U.S. embassy. It was only in May that the State Department designated her as wrongfully detained, moving her case under the supervision of its special presidential envoy for hostage affairs, effectively the government's chief hostage negotiator. Elizabeth rood, the U.S. embassy's charge de fair, has attended the trial in the Moscow suburb of kimchi, where the airport is located and said that American officials are monitoring her case closely, along with those of all U.S. citizens detained or in prison in Russia. At the espy awards last month, soccer player Megan Rapinoe referred to griner as a political prisoner and tennis great Billie Jean King said first, bring BG home, gotta do that. NBA Finals MVP Stefan curry wore grinders Jersey under his track suit at the awards show and urged the entire global sports community to continue to stay energized on her behalf.

"Be there in person. Wardell, Stefan curry, the second. You have sunshine. But you saw it obviously from afar, David, what did it mean to him? Do you think to sort of close that particular loop in his life? Yeah, I mean, we talked about it previously. I mean, that was incredibly important. I mean, I was like probably as proud of him for doing that as anything, you know, he's done. And also, you know, Davison has this sort of archaic rule that they won't retire your Jersey if you didn't graduate. So now they get to retire his Jersey. Davidson, no subway sandwiches. And no jerseys in the rafters if you don't hold the diploma. Yeah, he had to have he had to graduate. And by the way, the city of Davidson now since Steph Curry has graduated is a metropolitan little town with like a Harris teeter and all of these stores and they've totally embraced all of this. He's transformed the entire city into like this whole thing where subways are now allowed to be there if they want to be there. You know, I was watching David. This is how I sort of got the idea at the end here to sort of even talk to you about step because I knew you guys knew each other, but I watched Steph Curry. Truly not forget where he came from when I saw him walk into a game in the Western Conference Finals. Carrying, I think something that you must have been pretty thrilled to notice. Yeah, so he was carrying my book the movement made us that came out may 10th. Go out and buy it so you can be like Steph Curry. You know, he has this book club thing that he does, not texting him, sort of jokingly, like, you know, don't forget me in the book. And he was like, no, I'm not like, this isn't a joke. And, you know, I was like, well, I'm gonna send you send you a book, and of course he knew about it before I told him about everything 'cause he, you know, that's just what he does. And didn't tell me he was going to do it. I didn't ask him to do it. And before game one of the Western Conference Finals as part of his walk up, he carries the book into the game, but like facing out. So you can see what he has, and that's just like the stuff. I mean, it's the same guy who comes to your dorm room after the UNC game. And to help you feel your CDs. That's just what he does. You know, and that's like basketball, no basketball. You just one of the greatest guys that you'll ever know and I'm sure and I want to play with him. I want to play with him in the war. He's like, I want to go a team up with him. I understand what LeBron is saying. Like, you know, that's just the type of stuff that he does, and sticks his neck out for you. And, you know, that's Stephen Curry. So what you're saying is that Stephen Curry now on track to be like one of the two greatest point guards in NBA history in the middle of his playoff rod is still helping David Dennis junior, the Jay-Z of Davidson college. He still helping him move units. Absolutely. David, thank you for doing this, man. It was a joy. Oh, thanks for having me, man. This is great. I'm Pablo Torre. This has been ESPN daily. I'll talk to you tomorrow..

Either you have 732 NBA jam shirts of different colors and configurations or you keep picking the same one up off the floor. I'm a little concerned our YouTube viewers might share my concern. I am wearing the one bearing the likeness of waddell Stefan curry in on this Jersey in honor of Steph potentially breaking the all time record for three pointers made as early as Wednesday. Steph is 16 three pointers behind Ray Allen on the all time list. There's some momentum Howard. So, you know, I think that's a bit of a stretch. Steph has not made more than 9 three pointers in a game this season. It's against the blazers so all things are possible. But Steph's personalized 13 in a game he's done that actually just once. We had 12 once as well. You're right clay 14 back in 2018. I'm not going to predict a 16 three point explosion in one game by Steph, but I'm not going to rule it out either. I think more likely he's going to get it on this upcoming road trip, which means it could come at Madison Square Garden where he's had some historic nights. Could come in Indianapolis where reg Miller once roamed, so symbolic value there. I guess the only thing we know for sure is it's coming. It's coming soon. And that's going to be a really fun moment. It's against the blazers. Things are possible. But Steph's personalized 13 in a game he's done that actually just once. He had 12 once as well. You're right clay, 14 back in 2018. I'm not gonna predict a 16 three point explosion in one game by Steph, but I'm not gonna rule it out either. I think more likely he's gonna get it on this upcoming road trip, which means it could come at Madison Square Garden where he's had some historic nights. Could come in Indianapolis where Reggie Miller once roamed so symbolic value there. I guess the only thing we know for sure is it's coming..

"By Sports Illustrated's Chris mannix and Howard back. It's a whole new level for you and me, Chris. This relationship. Like and subscribe for the best weekly NBA content these two are capable of. What does that mean? It could be the best duo ever. I don't see how you can beat that. Here they are. Chris mannix, and Howard back. All right, crossover, NBA podcast Chris mannix and Howard Beck, what up back? What's happening, Chris? I can't help but notice as we do this again, our weekly routine here that you seem to have the same T-shirt on, the NBA jam. All I can see is the NBA jam. I can't see what's below it. Either you have 732 NBA jam shirts of different colors and configurations or you keep picking the same one up off the floor. I'm a little concerned our YouTube viewers might share my concern. So I just figured I should ask. Well, I would say I have an excess of 15 NBA jam t-shirts. I am wearing the one bearing the likeness of waddell Stefan curry in on this Jersey in honor of staff potentially breaking the all time record for three pointers made as early as Wednesday. Steph is 16 three pointers behind Ray Allen on the all time list. There's some momentum Howard for Steph to break this record against the blazer. Just the last game of a home stand for Golden State if he doesn't break it on Wednesday night, they'll be on the road for the next 5 games. So, you know, I think that's a bit of a stretch. Steph has not made more than 9 three pointers in a game this season. The record, I believe, is 14 by Klay Thompson, so you're asking Steph to have a record breaking performance to break a record on the all time list. I mean, it's Steph's of all things are possible. "Just drafted Chen for yourself. We would have been perfect fit with these guys. All right, let's go to warriors, things, do things. Fun one here. This is the kings man they're going to hang in a bunch of games. They're going to do a bunch of this stuff, but they've got to they did this against the jazz and we're right there and didn't come out with a win. We'd like to see them come away with more of these wins. But yeah, deer and fox, a little bit better, still just only one of 6 from three did have 7 turnovers. Harrison Barnes continues to be absolutely on fire to start the year. On that side, 24 points, rashon Holmes, it is thing. David Mitchell, he married Donna is good a job guarding Stefan curry as anybody can in the league. And he's a rookie. You can see why his nickname is off night. Why they call call him that out there. He has the quickest start and stop defensive moves I've ever seen in my life. He can back metal into a full stop into a challenge faster than any player I've ever seen. He's really, really good on ball. And he also scored 22 points. Kate came up big as a scorer as well for the kings on a game where buddy healed was only two of ten from. Yeah, I mean, we need to talk about Mitchell here because this is this is big, right? He only scored, I think it was three points and two points in his previous two games. So that was the big. The big knock on him was, okay, he can defend but this guy can't score. And now he comes out and he drops 22 points and he's already getting recognition as one of the best defenders in the NBA. You mentioned that his defensive abilities on curry. If you're getting, and I'm not saying you have to get 22 points out of him every single night, but if you're getting at least solid scoring to wait to where teams have to respect him. That's the key, right? Do teams have to respect him? Does their defense have to take account of him? And then you add that to the defense. If he can establish himself on the offensive and that much, and then you add that to what he can do defensively, you've got a really, really good player that's going to be extremely valuable in the NBA, particularly when you're going up against guys that are these high scoring guards that you can put them on and he can help slow them down. So I think he was a really nice piece. And you know what? The kings, I've yet to see them look bad. I think that's the big thing. I haven't seen a game where I just went the kings lost this game because they're the kings, right? They just did kings things lost. I think they're one and two, but they've, in the moments I've watched them. I've yet to see games where I just went, oh, this team just looks like a mess..

"Goodyear more driven or bring legs back in a moment, but we'll shift gears. The Brooklyn Nets side of things because broke. It has been eight and six since acquiring James Harden. You heard casting and coach Kerr going a little deeper into what that matchup was with All three players in this pandemic ridden season, part till the Nets have only had five games are all three of their big three of started in their forward one In those five K D, however, has been allowed to play the last three. He's back on the court tonight, and that's the Marquesa sure began his conversation with that, said coach Steve Nash when they caught up a short time ago. Kevin. Thank you very much. Coach Nash. Cady back tonight. Good news. What have your conversations The last 24 hours or so been like a zoo. Prepare to get back at it with your big three. Always excited. You know who loves the game and, you know, deeply misses being with his teammates and playing so first foremost, I'm happy for him and obviously for our group. It's great to have him back in. Our conversations have just been around. Continue to develop our comfort. Both sides of the ball is this group of where we're going, and Every every time you play, really? Those are our chances to get better. Just so little practice time and so just trying to connect the dots and getting prepared for a good outing tonight where you can assimilate back into this group, and we can keep building. No defense has been an area of concern. You held Indiana Good team 2 30 in the first half 94 in the game the other day. Where have you seen the biggest improvements on the defensive end? I thought the Indiana game was we challenged. The guy's basically after landing bag in Detroit, and they came out and played extremely hard and we're connected. And, you know, look, if if you don't play hard, it's really hard to play defense. And I think me that moments where we dropped our level, you know, against teams that maybe we expect to beat and that's just obviously Recipe for failure down the line. We gotta build the resolve and that character to come out every night and do our job. And so they did it against Indiana. And tonight we're gonna be really tested with Stefan Curry and the Warriors. And on top of that, without DeAndre, Jordan is that also hurt the building blocks of trying to put to good defensive games together. Oh, you know it way like a little versatility and then we don't have a true center. But you know, against the Warriors. They're missing all their centers. They're playing really small. So in a sense, it's not a disaster because we don't have Ah, seven footer out there and then we have to match up with But I'm way hope have Deandra DeAndre back and give us that room protector and that versatility of our bench so we can play different ways and hopefully he'll be back with assume. That, said coach Steve Nash, who spent the previous five years as a consultant with Golden State. So you know Steve Kerr. Well, did you have any doubt Steph Curry could get back to this level of play that we've seen? No doubts, especially having last season where he was going to hell back with injury. A and I know the type of person and dedication us for his craft. He's always chasing greatness, the way he trains and prepare so I could see this coming for sure. And it's beautiful to watch his. You know, one of the great gifts of our game. Steve always appreciated. Thank you. Cases that Steve Nash, the head coach of the Brooklyn Nets, Kevin back to you in the studio. Yes, Steve, Steve. Thank you very much. So the Goodyear hotline is he s been in media analyst Tim Legler before tip off for the Nets, and the Warriors aren't legs. What have you seen for the Brooklyn Nets this season? I was skeptical all along, and I still remain remain that way, too, and we make a lot about their defense. And obviously that's a reason to be skeptical because you're gonna have to figure out a way to get stops when it matters when you get in deeper into the playoffs. So that's legitimate, and I don't know if they're going to get better or not when he talked about it a lot, But I also know that Tyree Irving and James Harden have never been gotten killed themselves defensively, right? I don't think Steve Nash thinks that way. Mike D'Antoni doesn't think that way. So I don't know that it's going to get much better. What can get better? Is they think they could be so good offensively that it just doesn't matter. And I don't know that that's going to be the case. I worry, and I'm skeptical that you can actually pull off winning a championship that way, because none of these guys really move without the ball If you think about talented Golden State has had Use that had a lot of talent. You guys are willing to play without it. Don't cut running and come off screens and all of those things that create confusion. Defensively. This is more like here's what we're gonna do. We're gonna somebody's going to get the ball's gonna probably get either and ice over a high ball screen. They're going to come out you if you could figure out a way to make them even 10% less sufficient. You've got a great chance of beating that team, so I see not certain nights. They start stringing shots together and they're unbeatable. But I just don't think those nights Are going to be consistently strong together when you get deeper into the playoffs, ESPN NBA analyst Tim Legler joining us here in NBA accounts out of orders nets coming up. I'm glad you brought up the defensive side. Obviously, that's what everyone looks at. But you're right. This isn't exactly the most defensive, presently minded team and coast on the court and off the court as well with the coaching staff. When this is all said and done legs for Brooklyn to be successful. Does it all come down to one person in Kevin Durant? It should it should. I guess that's how she answered that question. And I don't see that. When I watched it to me, Kevin, it looks like this is James hard and show. This is his team. He's the guy that has the ball in any of the important possessions in these games, and if you feels like shooting on that possession, he shoots it. It looks a lot like it did in Houston. When I see them close out games of Kevin Durant is you're setting a screen for him or chemical ran. This is spaced out on the wing, letting James Harden going play. I think it's an incredible mistake. 72 ran. If I'm coaching him, everything is gonna go through Kevin Durant in the big possessions because he's just that great and he scores that easily against any level of defense that's in front of us. If you're going to allow James Harden to dictate how this thing goes, He's the captain of this. I think that that is a dangerous way to go because he has had moments in the playoffs, where he has not been able to come through playing that way. So when you ask you that question, the first thing I thought of was 100% of should, but I don't think that's how they're viewing it. That's something interesting. We're gonna monitor as we go along. Legs appreciate the time tonight. Enjoy the game will catch up again as the season progresses. Thanks for man. You've got ESPN NBA analyst Tim Legler joining me here on NBA Countdown. "It was 10 yards is 12 yards. Long plate's so they weren't in the game was 20 yards. No, maybe it was a little whatever it was. It wasn't He didn't have a big, you know, a big long? Yeah, exactly. So is that what I just started laughing? Because the chief for like, okay, cool. We could do this all day. If you want to do it all day, And then they got out of that defense. And then he'll head for 71 yards. That was in our video. I mean, that was just you know, we're kind of a routine day, but but that's the problem you face. And it's nothing away from Kelsie, who's a great great player. That's not the point. But you know, you can't take away everything. So you have to decide, you know, And that's the killer is you go into a game and the bills have done a really good job, not giving up big plays. And you know the hell 71 yards a killer because it's a six yard pass, and then many runs, you know. So you feel like okay if they want to throw a seven yard balls to Kelsey, That's certainly better than Hill for 50, but You know, just then. Then they have the hardman play, which you know again. There's a misdirection element to that and emotion element to it. And then you got the r P O to Hill for 71 those plays with killers. Yeah, I think with the this is, uh, you would know this, but this is easier said than done, but I think when you get against those type of offenses, you gotta get a little lucky. Sometimes you gotta you gotta get the right calls sometimes, and you gotta hope they're a little bit Little bit off, but I think I think you have to have the ability is a defense and some defense is probably could do this better than others. You have to have the ability to line up differently than then you're gonna cover if you I think if you show great players, something It's like a double team in basketball, using the double team from the same spot every single time they're going to flat out to you up. It'll be all over. See you give them different looks here and there. Some teams can handle that. Some teams, you know defensively that they get a little lost and they screw it up. But I would imagine same in the NFL like I can't give these guys too much there. We're just we're not going to get it. But if you can I think that's the only way to really have some really good success against him. And the other factors. The Mahomes factor because there were some pressures where they got there and watching the game live, you know, you think. Oh, they got him and then he you know, he makes one of those throws where he's falling away. Or, you know, I mean, what you gonna do, You know, Look, if you're equating into basketball time, it's like saying Well, we're going to stop. Stefan Curry from shooting threes, but you're not really going to stop him from shooting threes. And if he happens to be hot on that given day, you know what he's still gonna make him. You know, it zero. Everybody knows That's why there's not a blueprint per se. You know, It's like people, you know. So what what will happen in the game is, let's say next year. Patrick Moment has a bad game. Okay, and people say Well, that there is the blueprint. Well, no, because that's not the first time someone will have done. What happens in that given game, you know, And so I'm not a blueprint believer in any sport, because when guys play for a long time, they see everything and everybody's tried everything. And you know what? Sometimes it does work. That's just sports. Sometimes it does work. But that doesn't mean it's gonna work every week. Yeah, exactly. Greg, you know so much talk this week about Stafford and coming to the Niners. What do you view him as an upgrade from Garoppolo and you know, there's we've always just past the complexity of Kyle's offense. Is their transition period even for 32 year old guy like Stafford coming from Detroit If he came here and got you know, into this offense was taken a year to or is he so veteran at this point, you think he could adapt on the fly and play good football, right? You know. What hits the ground running. Would say there's a transition, but it wouldn't take a year or two. I mean, I've talked to people who say Stafford is incredibly smart, incredibly aware. I think Stafford's a great quarterback. I know people might disagree with that. He's not been in a Super Bowl. I don't even know if he's won a playoff game, but I think if you talk to people in the league, they'll tell you he's a great player. He's incredibly gifted, incredibly talented. He can play from the pocket. He could move his Got a cannon for an arm. Um, to me. He's an absolute upgrade over over Jimmy G. And I'd like to Jimmy G, but Stafford's just better, Um, so you know, and again. It's a great question, Larry because not maybe the Niners are one of the teams. I don't know what the plan is, but I would trade for Stafford Way before I would draft a quarterback in the first round. Like if someone says, Oh, no, I'm not creating for Stafford, because I'm gonna draft back Wilson. I would never do that. I would. I would trade for Stafford in a heartbeat. Well, well, you know, Steve Young said he went as far Greg to say that he thought Stafford could have been one of the great quarterbacks of his generation. If he'd have been in a different situation, That's how much he thinks of him. I couldn't agree more. I love Matthew Stafford, and it's funny. I watched him last summer in great detail. Could I was home, So I watched a lot of guys last summer and more detail than I normally do, and was the year he got hurt after eight games, So I watched every drop back in those eight games and I've watched him out. Cigar his whole career and I just got such a new appreciation of Stafford watching whatever number of drop backs that was 2, 53 100. Whatever the number was, you know, over a two day period, and I think Stafford's great and I like I said, people won't see it that way because there's no post season, but I think he's a really special quarterback. We're gonna do. A commercial for Stafford were to say it's endorsed by Steve Young and Great Cosell. Such indoors by great Cosell in Steve Young..

"What did you learn from him? What was your biggest takeaway from your time with him? You know, the biggest thing for for for us and me What we learn from Coach Taylor is he really took pride turning young boys. Into young men. And just be the fundamental pieces of how to be a man. How to conduct yourself. I'll never forget we used to, you know, we used to wear certain type of travel. And at that time we were like we put on church clothes. Are we doing this? On D taught us all how to tie a time He taught us all You know why I was, You know the right thing to walk with your head high and show your two of discipline is so classy. And those from the metal pieces I still carry with me every day of my life. Um, and again, we walked in there. We didn't know what we didn't know. And he taught us those things and those fundamental pieces have stuck with us. Me and my players, teammates. Um, the rest of our lives. We're talking to Marshall Head football coach Charlotte's huff. You know, he said something else about you that I thought the praise was really, really high quote. Some people just got it. And Charles is one of those guys everything that it takes to be successful. He had no problem doing the early morning. Get up the weight room coming back late. Gotta test the next day. His parents didn't outstanding job raising him because he's a first class guy. I'm super proud. And a quote that's extremely high praise. I'm curious where that mindset and knowledge on what it took to be successful. How much of that? Did you get from him? And how much of that came from something else? Maybe your parents Yeah. You know, I was blessed enough to be raised by my mom and my dad, you know, so my dad was hard on us. Um, discipline was very important doing the right thing. Because the right things always the right thing. Treating people the right way. Understanding that you gotta work harder than the next man in order for you to get what you want. Um and my mom was big on faith. Regardless, Um, how late game you had on Sarah or what she thought you were doing on Sarah's. You will go to Sunday school funding and just that simple understanding of There are more things are important in what you want to do. It's about how you do them. We talked to Charles. Off course you're coming to Marshall from Alabama. What about your time with Nick Saving? I mean, obviously you're gonna take a little something from everybody you work with and work for and work alongside. What about Nick? Saving? Where'd you learn from him? Yeah, I tell people all the time codes. Saving, um, has probably changed my life. The most, um he taught me or has taught me that consistency in your approach. Is the key to success. You set your plan. You have a plan and you stay consistent and the details and the choices and decisions that you make on a daily basis. Are the things that are going to separate you on de everybody, can you No can pretty much agree that he is the master of consistency and whether we want to gain by 60 or we came up short. It was the exact same approach. It was the exact same message. We went right back to work the next day, and we approached every game like it was the only game on the schedule. One play at a time for 60 minutes. Um, And that's something that I'm going to be carrying with me for a very long time. I think that is the best explanation of these so called saving process that I've ever heard. That was perfectly stated. So you know the thinking The past is that when somebody has a head coaching job, it probably means you're walking into a situation that needs a lot of help. But in your case, you walk into a program that's been 1/4 straight ball games. So how do you go about building on that? And what is the next step look like for this program? You know, that's perfect. You know, I had my first team meeting last night. On guy told those guys. You know, this is not a rebuild like you said This is not, you know, coming into a one in nine program and we got to start from the bottom. I told these guys, this is this I am here to win now, and what I am here to do is help them get six inches better. They came up close in the championship game came up close and a few other games of the season and we're trying to improve six inches when you were an elite at whatever you do. Look at LeBron Tain, Stefan Curry, Michael Jordan. Those players work all year long to get just a little bit better. LeBron James is not going to make leaps and bounds and his skill set, But he's trying to get a little bit better so that maybe he gets two more points in the big game. Or maybe he plays two more minutes because his condition improves. And that's what I told those guys were trying to get six inches better, but we gotta work all year. Yes, For those six inches. And that small movement and an improvement is in the details. Talking to Charles Hand behind the line, Not on the line right in your shirt and finishing through the line not to tow line going to class five minutes early. I don't time. It's a mentality. It's a lifestyle so top to bottom..

"Involved early and then kind of built his offense. Also getting them involved early. You know, with this team as a younger group, and I think the one thing you saw last night as as a group they fed off of his energy they fed off of his aggression, and they fed off of his rhythm. And I think that he needs to be a little bit more aggressive early in games to get everybody else going. Where is in the past? He's been on the driving kick and move the ball around early. Um, you know, this year he's got to be a little bit more selfish and games to get guys early to get guys involved to get them in rhythm. And in pain is Jonas. We're talking about Steph Curry What he's up to these days. Oh, by the way, 62 points last night in the wind over Portland. From a mental standpoint, a guy who's gonna be 33 march in the whisper start to happen. He can't do what he what he used to do. How much motivation is there for him and how competitive is he is he starts to hear those kind of things? I mean, you're gonna take that pretty personal and you know I don't I don't You know, I don't think that there's any shred of validity or any truth to any of those whispers. Um, those whispers all come from outside the building. They those whispers certainly aren't in the gym with us in the off season. On those whispers certainly don't exist here in my office because I know you know where he is Physically I know that there's a lot left a lot of basketball left. Not just passed for a lot of great basketballs left this Stefan Curry. So you know those are things that people that are looking to You know, create, you know, clicks or headlines or whatever you wanna call it that those are things that they're looking to create. The kind of, you know have something to talk about. But the reality is You know that nice like this, They're gonna happen pretty pretty often, Maybe not 62. But there's gonna be big nights pretty often during this season and next season the following season because he's not even close to being Towards the end. There's a lot of great basketball ahead for him as you texted me this morning. You think he's gonna have a lot of eruptions like this and, you know, minus you know, clay for the entire year. Obviously, a dream on getting his legs. You just say he may look to be more aggressive to score early in the game, and he went at it, You know, right away. Most The times when we checked with you, it's my fascination with how he creates a shot off a dribble. Because I expect him if he's got an open shot I expected to go in. I mean, he Steph Curry, but he is human. He does miss. But the last road trip we saw the video. On, you know from that, and the day off may make 1 105 consecutive Right corner three pointers, which is an amazing accomplishment. When you think about it now he's got the science 77 in a row publicly, but the video was rolling and we saw Lot of the one of five you're with him. So much of you is that by far the most you've ever heard of our you know if he just isn't a one spot like that, you know those like lay ups for him. What's the most you've ever seen a maid? Well, yeah. I mean, we don't do a lot of one spot shooting in the off season. We actually we don't. We don't shoot very many consecutive shots in the same range of the officers because we're trying to create We're trying to create game like conditions, So he alternates ranges or he'll, you know, we use different moves and different footwork to get into shots. We don't do a lot of catching shoot, but catch and shoot like that. Yeah, he's a machine. It's pretty automatic and You know, doesn't always get to 105. No, but I mean, you know, it's not all that uncommon for him to rip off 30 40 50 of those in a robe just because he can get in such a groove mechanically, and it just You know it Z almost like a golf swing. You know, Once you kind of find that groove, you can hit it down the middle for a guy's talented This step is from adult standpoint. You get it down the middle over and over and over again, So you know I was I was happy. You know that he made 100 and five in a row. But that's not something we worked on a whole lot because it's just it's not game like Is there. I'm gonna put you on the spot a little bit. I mean that Maybe that's the most impressive thing. What's the most impressive thing you've seen him? Do? The most impressive thing I've seen him do is, you know we have gained the combined conditioning and, uh, time and score and some of them quite frankly, are designed For him to not win and you know, we have a game that we called 21 involves a lot of running to half court and involves shooting of three or two and get it finished in the basket. And you have to accumulate 21 points within a certain amount of time. And you know, I took the time from 90 seconds down to a minute and 10 on that drill, which is quite frankly, It's insane. Yeah, two seconds after I told him that's what we were doing That kind of thought to myself. This isn't winnable, but No, he went out and did it. And so you know what the most impressive thing I've seen him do. It is something that we do, you know, almost daily. If he finds ways to win these drills, he finds ways to win these games and and find ways to be competitive in the off season, when nobody's looking that Are You know they're not normal for NBA guys. It's not normal. And so that's the type of stuff that really impresses me is when he always finds a way to get through these drills and designed to be almost impossible to win. Look, Look, I know you've worked with Luka. I know you work with Jamie Lee and now you work with Paschal. But I saw an interview recently with you where you're talking about Steph and how excited he is to work with James Wiseman, who's seen him a little bit early in this season. What do you think? And what can he do for steps Game? Man. James Wiseman has been outstanding. And I think that you're seeing each game. You're seeing him. Do something new..
