"This is Monica. Perec's Brad. Our top story it is four days to quote Election Day people have been voting in droves. People have been mailing in election deadlines for mail in ballots have been extended. So as a very nebulous election time and but one thing is clear the pulse or narrowing. Yeah that wasn't predictable at all that. Show. Some worrying concern. We should clarify. Four days until the election is not over yet. That's right. Hashtag election does not we learned that an indicator that trump is. Conducting a coup and stealing the election is if there's an announcement of victory on election night because no longer are there to be results on election night that is just crazy to think that. Yet another way we re going back in time to the pre industrial era where you had to ride by horseback to. Cast your ballot by the time it was maybe that's why I. That's why inauguration day used to be in March. Because they probably had to travel and. Fight along the way I wish that were still the state I wish you had to be able to ride a horse to the ballot. We need to. I'm trying to get all these people. Saying let's let's let's get rid of most of the people that are voting. that. Ties anybody who can't ride a horse. Them selves out if they have it investigated or researched or if they don't like the choices, people were have fallen into this trap of feeling like they have to be forced to choose between a punch in the face kicking the balls and so they just choose the one that they hate the. This all focused towards that hate and propaganda. To the level of compulsory voting almost I got more and more text messages. Today I'm getting overwhelmed with them every five minutes I can't have to scroll up like fifteen minutes real text message from somebody that's not like a fake number that kind of looks like my phone number like, Hey, sme for move on. Are you going to vote for Joe Today? Hey, we heard you voter yet. Don't let your neighbors find I don't care find abors find out..

Thank you each and every one of you for the comments, the support, the love, the criticism and everything in between We're joined today by the Rock Star of the company and getting a smirk as I say and he knows that I know it. We all know it. Mr Rob. Nixon the deal Ninja. Doing today I'm doing great. Yeah. Happy Beer or you happy am good. You got some time for me. Yeah. There's GonNa be. A little banter back and forth today Robin I have always had a really interesting relationship and I think that we've both grown to learn that's part of it. And we'll get into some of the things that we're doing to help work on that relationship and to help build and foster a much more productive atmosphere. But as we always like to do we're going to kind of go back to the beginning rob and we want to talk a little bit about you know what's Made Rob Nixon Rob Nixon. Right. So give us some of the background. Where'd you go to school? You know where you a not a native Staten Islander let's let's take it from the top. Sure. So I grew up in Staten Island I was raised in a area went to PS thirty than is fifty one public school guy and then I went to Xavier High School Manhattan great experience then went to Mariss college where I got my degree in finance and entrepreneurship. Graduated in two thousand, thirteen that was great time learned a lot in there as well and quickly found myself into real estate actually kind of by accident I was planning on going into trading had some opportunities in fixed income trading in particular but I didn't really love the direction that it was going in especially really going digital and a couple firms. I had sat in on I. had saw you know they had these big big big rooms, these trading rooms and I noticed there was a lot of empty seats and I said, you know how many people were here A couple years ago this was full and I'm like, okay well, now it's. Forty percent bowl. Mike, what's IT GONNA look like a couple of years and like it's going to be smaller I'm like. All right. So that doesn't seem like the greatest place to you know reach growth I wasn't really thinking short term it was really about long-term. So by accident actually, I got involved with James Prime, the mono and John Patera at the time and got my license and just kind of look back it kind of. Just grew organically and it's It's been a really fun ride. So kind of crazy it's seven years now. Twenty Twenty eight turn twenty, nine, next three weeks. Old Bro I. Now man I know I feel a lot older answers. So I wanNA talk a little bit about the Xavier Experience. So you're a public school kid prior to that and westerly kid we grew up you know very close I'm over on in West Brighton. So basically, one neighborhood over from you I'm a PS forty five chairman is sixty, one kid I would never have had the. The confidence that drive the security to go to Xavier like how does that happen you know? was there testing for you? Is that what your friends going there was always a goal did it just kind of fall out of the trees one day does happen..

To Stephen Siller Tunnel, the Tower's foundation, a great organization that we all know we all love. The place was packed. Staten Islanders love supporting that particular charity. They're great people, and it was packed and the line was so long for a table. That the owner let some people sit inside and wait for the table. Even the way the state liquor authority admitted that the owner told them he let some people sit inside. Because there was a pregnant woman in their party. Isn't this just insane? Joke? Isn't this just absolutely bonkers that thatyou. This's what could could actually put a family in the poor house. So Joyce is run by the O'Toole family. I don't know A lot of Irish last names. You get uncomfortable. With the choices Tavern is owned by the O'Toole family. It's a couple of brothers. It's the mom. It's dad. It's three generations and you just gonna dust this family's business. Because they get a nice thing by allowing a pregnant woman and her, you know, seatmates and tablemates to sit inside and wait for them to follow the rules and go outside. So this is why it really angered so many people on Staten Island, and I suspect that the Cuomo administration doesn't pull back and give him a little slap on the wrist. Given license back we will have a whole bunch of people standing outside in front of Joyce is supporting them in the near future, Joe. Tune out from the next ten minutes sleep, another ten minutes changed the station for ten minutes comeback in ten minutes because this has been the biggest two weeks in mob news in I would say the last three decades. Obviously, the big news and the national news just did this item. So I don't want to hear from anybody that it's not newsworthy. The the top of the hour network news just did this story. It has of course to do with the murder of reputed Gambino crime family, boss, Frank Kelly. Now. Just some background for those of you those of you that are uninitiated in mafia dam, which is but let me actually even take a step back further. Sometimes people will write to this radio station and say, oh, we you know, I don't understand Franks love affair with the mob. Let me be very clear. I do not have a love affair with the mob. I think most of the people that tend to go into the mafia these days, especially our total Chadrel's people with a muscle in between both ears people that aren't exceptionally bright people. That would rather cheat steal and game. The system than actually go out and work for a living. I have very little respect for anyone that would join them up. And then the supposed oath that you take when you join the mob. It's total nonsense almost everyone in the mob. Especially these days, they will violate every aspect of that quote, unquote. Oh, I think you're the mafia these days, especially your total low life that being said if you look at the people that I've stuck up for an I've advocated for in the history of my being on the radio. This station at another station. I stand by each and every one of them if you and I think I've been born out if you look at the case of John Gotti junior. John Gotti junior is sort of a Michael Corleone gone. Right, right. He legitimately did withdraw from organized crime. That is a success story that is some after paying his debt to society that to me is the kind of thing people should be doing Tommy g Yolly, I was reputedly the the the Colombo crime family, boss acting boss. He is someone that was that have the the gumption to actually challenge prosecutors version of events through a blog, and I saw one how he was being treated in prison to that. They kept him for years without a trial and three that they tried to shut down the spot. What happened with Tommy G O? He was acquitted of six murders. Have you look at? Anybody's yana. I've never met minibus, Geno. I don't know of anybody of any gorgeous from the banana crime family, my issue with him and his prosecution wasn't that he was not guilty. I'm all for throwing the guilty away, and you know into prison my issue with anybody. She was they tried to give him the death penalty after he was already in prison. It was a total waste of taxpayer money. Joel Joe Waverly Joel cook as another one acquitted of murder. So if you look at all the people Frank de Medina the supposed modest associated caterer and Staten Island, obviously Franken different case because I I was friendly with him. He was born out. Totally never did a day in jail. I think was totally acquitted. So I think if you look at all the cases that I've advocated for shockingly, it's mostly instances of people that are innocent charged with the crimes they're charged with being acquitted. So. I I have an allegiance to the constitution, and I have an allegiance to fair play. So because I'm the only guy that sticks up for criminal defendants and the criminal Justice system on the radio. Sometimes people think that I have a love affair with the mob. I absolutely do. Not what I have a problem with is the government giving a get out of jail free card to real mobsters like Sammy Grovonni, oh like Dino collaborative like a number of others that we're going to discuss and in exchange for like Joe job, Joe Massino and get an exchange for their willingness to ally and or rat on their criminal cohorts. They get a get out of jail free card. They get total forgiveness get to keep all the money that they earned. That's my problem. And that is not at all a love affair with the mob that being said. Gambino reputed Gambino crime family, boss, Frank Kelly was murdered. Now. What is the Gambino crime family in the New York, New jersey area? There are six area crime families. You have the Gambino's the bananas the vs the lucozzi. The who am I missing the Colombo's? And then the Di Cavalcanti family, which is primarily New Jersey. That's the family that the show the sopranos is purportedly based on. The each of these six families historically has had sort of a hierarchy structure at the top of that pyramid. Is the boss right beneath him is the underboss right beneath him as the Consiglieri. The those are the three people that make up the administration so Frank Kelly a Staten islander a father a husband was murdered Wednesday night. At his outside of his home in Staten Island, shot multiple times initial reports whether he shot six times now the same as have been shot ten times. Now, this is noteworthy a newsworthy because it's so rare we have not seen a New York area. Mafia, boss, murdered since one thousand nine hundred eighty five. Remember my interview with Jerry Capucci a few weeks ago. I asked him what what is the mafia do these days, and he basically said, well, they don't kill people as much as they used to. So that in and of itself made this whole Frank Kelly murder quite rare had been the last mob. Boss, murdered was another Gambino crime family, boss, Paul Castellano. Another Staten islander, another toad hill. Resident he was murdered supposedly on the orders of John Gotti senior. And that's how that's how John Gotti senior ascended to being the boss of the gag. Gambino crime family, if mob Lor is correct. So Frank Kelly was murdered on Wednesday. And immediately this became a big media story. And I understand that look I talk about the mob on this radio program, the public as you see from a popular television shows and movies, like the sopranos and goodfellas and the godfather and casino list goes on and on has an appetite for hearing about mafia damn, okay, fine. I get it. I I'm a participant. And then I'm just amazed at the level of coverage in the news media, especially the tabloids over this Frank Kelly murder. There seems to be on the part of the press an effort not to get to the truth. But to completely sensationalize this now one of the few people that got this right now that came to mind they killed Frank Kelly outside of his home. That is an instance of no respect like Paul Castellano. At least they they killed him. Not that matters to him. He's still dead outside of spark steakhouse, not in front of his home with his wife and children home. And it's funny. I was Mike Gallagher, and I'm Mike, and I are good friends. He gave he sent me. This text message on Friday. He said that doesn't sound like a mob hit. They don't usually do that near someone's family. Right answer. Right. Mike gallagher. Turns out was correct. Mike gallagher. Got commonsense smarts. I don't know that he knows much about the mom aside from watching occasionally a few documentaries. So I am just amazed at the level of coverage that the story got between Wednesday and yesterday not in terms of the magnitude in the volume of coverage, but the quality of the coverage the quality was so poor. Let's begin with USA today. Headline Gambino murder sparks, mafia. Rumor mill a couple of guys got to get killed now. That's the headline in published on Friday in USA today in I guess the weekend. Editions you pick up USA today this weekend. You will see this story and this story in USA today quotes three people two of them. What one has zero credibility? A second has very little credibility a third. Okay. He might be somewhat credible. Okay. This is how the story begins. Mobsters and ex mobsters even those who have been exiled to the witness protection program gossip like schoolgirls. So when Gambino crime family boss Frank Kelly was shot dead Wednesday night in front of his Staten Island home. The stunning breaking decades of relative mob piece, set phones of members and alumni Cosa Nostra a flight with speculation as to the actors and motives behind his murder. Quote, is it buzzing former Gambino captain, Michael Michael, Mikey scars Di Leonardo asked rhetorically about the current state of the mafia rumor mill his response, it's on fire. And then it quotes throughout this whole article, Michael de Leonardo and John a light as experts in everything mafia-related now understand who these two guys are these are two people whose main claim to fame is participating in a life time of crimes and not having to go to prison because they were willing to testify against in Mikey, Mikey. Leonardo's case everybody in Johnny lights case, John Gotti junior. Now, Mikey DeLeon auto was a real gangster. He was a captain in the Gambino crime family did know a thing or two about mafia damn his father was in the mob. His brother-in-law was in the mob. He he knows he is you may not like the guy he knows a thing or two about mafia. And if you watch Michael de Leonardo, and I've seen them testify probably about five or six times he is someone that really enjoys being a gangster. He review even now that he can't be a gangster because he's a rack. He loves it. You can tell he really loves it, and he's not a bad witness, and I found much of his testimony. He put on a good show. This is someone by the way that I wanna point out got to keep that is now free and got to keep hundreds of thousands of dollars. They're about in ill-gotten gains and put it in his pocket didn't have to make restitution to his victims. He got to keep hundreds of thousands of dollars in spite of the fact that he was a participant in two murders and countless other crimes all because he he was able to catch a ride on that Dottie freedom train and be able to rat on all of this criminal cohorts. So they quote, Michael Di Leonardo and then they quote, John a white who has zero credibility, and I've gone through chronicling John lights issues for years and years and years. Johnny light wasn't even in the mafia. He was not even in the mafia. He was a low level drug dealer. Even prosecutors. They call my mom, associate not even in the mafia. And yet he's writing books. Fine to get movie deals trying to build a whole career in this case being quoted in USA today as an expert in the world of the mafia. This is who they go to. What is Johnny light said in this article in USA today, quote, if this is still a mafia that guy's gotta get killed that did the shooting. Yeah. He knows right. Even in the mafia, and he's quoted as an expert and anybody that helped them anybody who was associated with this murder, whether it was mob related or not a couple of guys gotta get killed now. This is absurd. Okay. And then they quote retired FBI supervisor Bruce now now, Bruce now, I don't have that much of an issue with Bruce. Now, I think his tactics in going after John Gotti bordered on the unethical. And maybe even the the whatever mecca relitigate cases from twenty five years ago. But Bruce Mao was doing a job his job was to be an FBI agent. And he did it. He did it job. Okay. Maybe a little Gresley at times fine. Okay. Now, Mel credited the long lull in violence. Not so Frank Kelly was very low profile used to see John Gotti senior in all the tabloids used to see him around town wearing his high prices he'd have equipped for a reporter now. And then Frank Kelly was the opposite of that very low profile and a lot of people credited him with reducing mafia violence, Bruce Mel credited, the long lull in violence, not to Kelly, but to Tupper organized crime statutes with devastating sentences for those convicted of mob related murder. Now also stated that though multiple news outlets have referred to Kelly as the reputed boss of the family his information. Is that Kelly was underboss? Okay. Now, I want you to think about that. This. Bruce now, who's been retired? I think for fifteen years from the FBI is saying that what's been reported. And all the papers is not accurate now. I have no idea if he's right or not I have no idea who the boss of the Gambino crime family is I don't know anything about the Gambino crime family because I'm not the mob, right or in law enforcement. But Bruce now is saying. It's not the boss. It's the underboss. Now, I want you to just think about that for a second a private citizen, which is what Bruce Maui is is claiming that he knows better than what's being reported. That he's the underboss not the boss. So that means one of two things is happening. That means..
