"Vaccine rollout has been among the nations slowest, his stay at home orders inconsistent and their enforcement arbitrary. Fight continues story. Everyone in California talking about today and now nationwide is the recall movement against Governor Governor Gavin Newsom. Over the weekend. We got word of 1.3 million signatures is the current tally, according to recall organizer's 1.3 million signatures. That means that they're on a pace of about 100,000 week. They need to get to at least 1.5 million quality signatures. But in order to know that they got the signatures, they've got to get two million. Two million signatures. Let's see 100,000 per week and we've got seven weeks left where at one point yet it's very going toe to be very close. But we have to keep the pace we're on. Get to the two million so 1.3 million signatures was the big announcement this weekend. They need two million signatures that would require about 100,000 signatures each and every week through March, 17th. Which is the deadline to submit them, But for you and me to collect them were probably really looking at March. Mm 8/9 or 10th. To submit them to the campaign so they could be properly reviewed, vetted, processed and submitted to each of the county registrars of voters. Now there's also been big developments over the weekend in terms of candidates getting in the race. We had John Cox on this show on Thursday of last week. Well, on Saturday, he announced it's official. He's running for Governor, John Cox ran in 2018. He was the Republican nominee. Um And he said he's running because Newsome is really that bad, and he's learned a lot about how to run races from his last race. Also right wing activist Mike Son of Bitch who has a big following on Twitter announced today that he is also going to file papers to run for governor if the recall qualifies. Kevin Fucker is still saying he's looking at it. But his team said he raised a million dollars $1 million and he put out a tweet saying this is a movement. Really a million dollars. Well, what he doesn't tell you is that the million dollars came from 13 fat cat donors. Kevin That's not a movement. Must you put a word with the letter B at the beginning of it, But anyway, the point being, we now have candidates. They're stepping forward and running on the Republican side. Lots of them. Also a billionaire has put $100,000 into backing the recall effort. Chammah, Polly Tapia. He's a Internet guru big following on social media. He is very, very wealthy. Challenged him last week that if he's going to run for office, he better pony up and give money to the recall. He has done that $100,000 to back signature collection. By the recall committees now In a in a sign that Gavin Newsom is taking this recall threat much more seriously. He's not only beginning to cave on important policies like the State Home Warner, or last week, he was indicating. Very big shift is coming on his decision to back government teachers unions to force kids to stay home and keep the school shut. But now we're seeing actual money being spent against the union. I'm sorry against the recall The National Union of Health Care Workers today rolled out a digital media campaign where it is running ads asking thousands of Californians to sign a petition opposing the ouster effort. Uh, the funding of these ads not only designed to dissuade people from signing, but they're also Reinforcing that If you signed their petition, they can get your name off of the recall paperwork in case you signed as some a mistake in case you were confused. Not a whole lot of people are gonna be confused. But what you're going to find, though, is that the unions and Newsome are now going to start pushing counter signatures. They're called withdrawal forms. Under California state law, someone who signs recall paperwork can take their name off of the recall petition after it's been submitted to the state. By signing a roux withdrawal petition. Why would you sign a petition to recall a state official and then turn around and sign a withdrawal? Well, yeah, you could change your mind. But what Newsom in the government unions and Democrats are banking on Is that people may be confused. They may not know what they're signing. So, for example. The National Union of Health Care Workers Campaign. Is emphasizing not the recall of Newsome. They're saying signed the petition because quote Now is not the time. To move Caliph Now is the time to move California on Medicare for all You see what they're doing? There is they're trying to make Medicare for all the issue, which is among some voters popular, even some Democrats popular They may not know what, exactly what they're signing. So what you're finding now is a funded effort by Newsom. You try to thwart the recall effort here in California as the final days now rollout Aziz the recall efforts trying to get an additional 700,000 signatures to get the 1.5 million Final point on the recall effort. Announcement by Reform California The group that I chair The ads. Have started running today paid ads promoting the recall petition. You actually may start seeing them on some websites, particularly sites that carry news and sports information. We are trying to get his many people to sign the recall. Paperwork is possible. So we've put Paid adds up Now why are we doing it on news sites? We prefer Facebook, but Facebook has rejected our ads to support the recall of Gavin Newsom. We have lodged a complaint. We've appealed their decision. Thus far there, quote Unquote Independent Review board has not made a decision. They have not changed their policy. Facebook is not allowing us to run ads. So we are trying to get them up by running them on new sites. What can you do to help? You can get involved in the effort. Do not sit on the sidelines. Don't just sit there and say, Well, I already signed it. Go out and get yourself. In the in the fight, get five.

"Michael Hancock Saying, Don't you travel for Thanksgiving? And then he got on a plane to visit his family in Mississippi. It was the mayor of San Jose saying, Don't you go anywhere? I'm pretty sure he Was going out to dinner wasn't the mayor of San Francisco, who then went to French laundry the day after Gavin Newsome was there, that exclusive restaurant in California? Correction. Wittmer went to the inauguration. Jesu. And tweeted a photo from there. When she's next to two other women. I know who they are, but luckily, they're all wearing masks. Don't you know and that's what's important. These people live in her alter alternate worlds, where They know we see them. But there's they're convinced there's nothing we can do about it because Politically. Well, I guess abortion matters more. Tony Katz, Tony Cats Today 833 got Tony 8334688669. When I say that What I'm saying is, is that it's very obvious that the Democratic Party on Lee has a couple of issues that they actually vote on. Only a couple things that matter, and abortion is one of those three things that matter, which means that a candidate could actually take a wizz on you. And you'd be like, Oh, yeah. You're okay with abortion check true. Nothing else matters. No, I guess you could argue. That pro life person only votes for people who are pro life. And whatever else you do check I don't know if it's as true with me whatever else you like. Maybe what we need are not necessarily more parties. But what we need are more candidates to be able to take in all the flavors of the kinds of things we the voters are looking for. But not everybody in Michigan. Is a Democrat. Are Republicans in Michigan, and they're being told they can't open their business. They're being told they have to stay home, and they're being threatened to find that they're being threatened with this. That and the other and there's Gretchen Whitmer. Showing you how elitist she is. He knows you see her And she does not give a you know what She doesn't care. There comes a moment where the caring happens in California. It's happening. In California. There is a serious push. To recall Gavin Newsom. Serious push. Gavin Newsom is not doing a briefing today. Vaccine roll out in California is miserable. He no longer discuss is whether the state Home Warner is working. There's a backlog of a least a million Unemployment claims. California is a failing Aggressively. And in California, finally They're saying, Yeah, we should stop this madness. And maybe that guy is it. Gavin Newsom may have ended his political career. Now. Unfortunately, if he runs for president, someone will still say, Oh, But he cares about a woman's right to choose. Killed Californians and ruin the state. But abortion thumbs go up and that'll be that Maybe we now have a moment where some people will say. Okay, See, these things won't work. For example, the National Guard. We've been discussing how the National Guard was brought in solely for theater. 25,000 troops for the inauguration. Nonsense, and we all know it. And then they were sleeping on the floor of the capital. None sense and we all know it. You could have set up sleeping bags could've set up match could have set up cots. You didn't That's a that's an absolute failure of leadership. Somebody wanted the photo op. And then yesterday 5000 and we're sleeping in a parking garage. They got kicked out. Today. They're trying to fix it on. That's not what happened. No, no, no. No one would do such a thing. I've got governors saying we're bringing our We're bringing our guys back coming under sentence of Florida Governor Abbott of Texas. I've got Chuck Schumer. Saying This is not okay. We're gonna get to the bottom. This I've got representative a Casio Cortez saying. I do not know what's going on here. But our office a little messy because we're moving offices, But it's open and we've got snacks, so feel free to come and stay here. Only proving that It's your policies that a child like she could be a lovely person. Everything about what it is we have witnessed from the National Guard how they have treated our trade. It is wrong. Everything. And maybe some people are noticing. And they're noticing in California when I can hope is that they're going to notice. In Michigan. I hope that they're going to notice and then do something about it. And recognize that they don't have to be this way. They don't have to live this way. People recognized that they were flat out being lied to By CNN by Speaker Pelosi and by the Biden administration. When they started talking. About Corona virus vaccines and the idea of this big, bold initiative off a million people a day being vaccinated for 100 Days, 100 million people will be vaccinated. And people are noticing. That their numbers their math. Their thoughts is nonsense. The Trump Administration was given 36 million doses.

"Oh variety of things as we work our way through these three hours and As always, We're very glad to have you along. You know, I was off a few days. I was back last night. So just a reminder. This is not a rerun. Not the rerun. What is this is December the first. So I'm saying, I'm telling you, this is not a rerun. Seven. It's December the first, by the way, let me start off by saying Happy birthday to my pops when miss very much my dad's birthday today. Happy birthday, Dad. Miss you so much so If you're doing well. By the way today you have last night on the show we've mentioned I'd mentioned because of Thanksgiving that I mean a pie, The New York stuff banana cream pie. And then I think Kendall says, Well, I would really love some of that. And so Maybe you could make one again. And so then today Went ahead and did that because I had doubled up my recipe, So I had my had enough for two pies. I already made one for Thanksgiving and would then and everyone devoured. That's was great. And so then I made another one today and then Kendall tells me She informs me during the day they informed you. She informs me that today is National Pi Day and who knew? Just don't just spend every day making pies, You know, just I guess it happened. Be a national by day. I cannot believe the synchronicity of that, pat. You happen to make one of your amazing pies and its national Peiding? Unbelievable. What a coincidence. I really didn't know that you didn't either. But no, But it's a nice little so right now. I think that Kitty O'Neil His kid. He's always so generous and sweet and nice. If anybody is celebrating anything around the you know, around the radio station, kid, he's always the first one to go out of her way to do something sweet and kind for people on. So I, you know, I told her Hey, you I made this pie. And I sure loved it if you would have some of it. Now. The thing about the I. Heart media compound here is now listen, I'm not disparaging. They're nice, Pete. They're good people. They forked out lots of bucks for a gigantic clock in this room that let me know that I'm on the air. And so, But what? We don't have our like plastic forks. So now poor kid, Ian Hill. He's on a mission trying to find We've done this before Utensil. We've eaten things with plastic knives very carefully. Maybe there's some way we could cut Some cups into little make them little spoon things. Guys. Come on, get created. Find this in the budget, Not just plastic forks and spoons. You don't want to use the knife because the plot even the plastic ones have that little serrated it watch out for the serrated nous and then you zip it like then a corner mouth is all bleeding in your party. My feeling. Looking like the Joker Shelly like the Joker eating pie. Such so kid, he's on a mission. To scrounge up some plastic forks is that's just beneath her, you know, so that should not be her job. No, thank you, Kitty for helping us find some ways that we can Creatively eat this pie. And of course, I am curious to see what you guys think about a national party. Wait. It's also national Eat a Red Apple Day. Yeah. That I did not know. So well. Yeah, well, maybe I'll celebrate that next year. I don't know. Maybe, but I do like a good red apple anyhow. Hmm. I wonder if I can go get my red apple. Now that we're told now they're going to make a stay at home. Gosh, you know, the one thing I don't like to do is talk about When everyone else is talking about and it's just it's so. Beaten into the ground. You know this? Now you get this. The governor again who It's out and restaurants, breaking his own curfew and such. Saying that now they want to possible warning of the new, drastic stay at home order in the next few days. Mm. Oh, gosh. Remember back in like March February March whenever all this broke And I remember someone asked me. Hey, pad. Don't you think this like I'm like I know anything. How long you think this is? Go on his own covert thing. Oh, please. That should be done. Like like I know anything. I don't know what he dang But But here we are. In December the whole year. Taken down by this stuff. Mm. So now the governor. Warning that if the trends continue, that we're gonna have to take a much more dramatic, arguably drastic action. The potential for a stay at home order for those areas in purple of boy more in line with the state Home Warner that folks were familiar with the beginning of the year. But but but 90 per 99% of California's, they say Population was in the purple most severe of the reopening order. Terms of the timing of the orders those air being assessed in real time, blah, blah, blah Anyhow, so here we are gonna have the small businesses take the hit again. Because they're victims of all of this. The small businesses. I mean, they're just taking the brunt of this. It's terrible. Here. We had Christmas time. How many of these businesses depend on the Christmas holiday for a lot of their business? You know, we always stress Hey, go support your local business..

"Thanks for being here it's the Mike Broomhead show I I warned everyone yesterday that was on the opposite side of this and they thought this woman was a horrible person in Dallas Texas that you should open a hair salon and she should have been forced into our house and I'm glad that they arrested made an example of her she should have gone to jail well even the governor who gave the state home Warner came out instead now now let me tell you what the governor of Texas said Greg Abbott I joined the Attorney General of disagreeing with the excessive action by Dallas judge putting Shelley Lutheran jail for seven days as I've made clear through prior pronouncements jailing Texans for non compliance with executive orders should always be a last available option compliance with executive orders during this pandemic is important to ensure public safety however surely there are less restrictive means to achieving that goal than jailing a Texas mother how about the fact that now the Texas Supreme Court has turned her loose how about the fact that at we checked this morning before the show two and a half hours ago probably closer to three hours ago when we checked and there was five hundred thousand dollars raised on a go fund me account for this woman mission accomplished down user made a bad example out of her you sure showed everybody what happened to you to find order in Texas what's the count up to can you tell me see what the count is up to in Texas for that that business I was a little over five hundred thousand before is there a new total let me look real quick for yeah I was just over five hundred K. yeah look just over five hundred thousand and so the judge the judge is been overridden by the state Supreme Court this mother has been sent home now just like the governor said you should comply I am of that mindset to we should have complied I'm I'm arguing with somebody on Facebook you know of course because that's what you're supposed to do but I'm having a conversation with someone I agree with about shutting things down but you can't the government has overstepped what do you got we have Steve do you have a new total yeah it's still just north of five hundred K. just north okay yeah good for her which is no small chunk of change a lot that's that's a lot of money what's the least of that you would volunteer to get arrested for like if you're guaranteed you're gonna get X. amount of dollars and just be arrested what what's the charter opening up your business I guess all ten grand as long as my fines were covered by the lieutenant governor by anybody I I listen I have that much to the dismay of many people I'm out out there I will tell you I have never been put in handcuffs never been arrested didn't do see he gave out a number for people twenty five hundred dollar fine twenty five hundred dollar fine and up to twenty five hundred dollars in fines up to six or six months in jail so you would volunteer to get arrested for twelve twelve five yeah okay to make a point sure I'd be great for the show by the way if I got arrested yeah thank you we can get it happened during the show like on the air that be great I keep talking about K. guy might just happen she is the dictator of of Phoenix at least it'll cover nineteen is over she did sign an executive order she's the the grand Pooh bah I think of of you know that is that at the hope you guys watch The Flintstones but when you do something like this it's an overreach and here is the example I've made it is not it is not apples to apples completely but it's a great comparison the government has over reached the even there is nothing more dangerous than doing the wrong thing for the right reasons and that's what's happening here all it's all in the name of public health at all in the name of public safety everything is listen communism was in the name of of fairness let's be honest socialism supposed to be fair you think they're selling it to people it's it's silly to say that this is in the best interest of public health the best thing to do I'm gonna use a comparison and I I'm not trying to be insulting to anyone the aids epidemic in America when it hit America I was very young and it was terrifying there was a virus that when infected turned into some HIV turned into aids aids was a death sentence it killed your immune system and you died a horrible painful death and when aids the epidemic hit it was a death sentence very quickly they figured out the highest risk groups because it was a blood borne illness and it was unprotected sex especially gay men and it was also intravenous drug users people sharing dirty needles warnings public service announcement everywhere television radio movie stars benefit concerts raising money for research free condoms free needles everything they could do and there were people in both of those groups that ignored the warnings and that disease spread anyway there were people that ignored the warnings were cheating on their partners and then bringing it home where they didn't think protection was necessary because they want a monogamous relationship or so they thought and innocent people are infected and died from HIV turning into aids it happened all over the country I know three people that died of the aids virus three and nobody shot down anything no one said this is the highest risk group so we're going to close this down we're going to make it illegal for a short time you know in order to flatten the curve we're going to make it illegal now did you ever police this accurately but we're going to make it illegal to have unprotected sex even among monogamous partners we're going to make it the law people would have laughed out loud at that idea people would have laughed out loud if somebody would have dared said in that day and age we are going to say we're going to close down gay bars for six months so that we can slow the spread of the aids virus they would say that a that's homophobic B. it is discriminating against one group of people all of this would have been fought in court and in the court of public opinion the government would have been immensely overstepping although we know that the smart thing to do the right thing to do was don't have unprotected sex don't share needles if you're in a ministra user now it was illegal to use intervenors bugs anyway we didn't change laws what we did was if you knowingly acted irresponsibly because you were infected with HIV or aids you were a criminal but we didn't make new laws we didn't shut everybody down we didn't do any of that they made suggestions they spent a ton of money in research they spent a ton of money and preventative measures and messaging which is exactly what the government supposed to do in the interest of public health but they didn't force anybody's behavior change all I'm saying is what we've done with this pandemic is the government is gone so far as to change people's behavior by force and in Texas they threw a business owner in jail thank god the Supreme Court let her out forcing behavior still forcing behavior and it's not supposed to happen coming up in a few moments our restaurants ready to open we talked.

there will be ebbs and flows in testing but doctor Nicole Alexander Scott says the state is not yet at a point where they think there are fewer people with symptoms she says there is capacity to test S. and S. comfort arrived in New York on March thirtieth it was originally deployed to care for people without permanent virus D. ease the burden on local hospitals the mission later expands those with co that nineteen Rachel Sutherland box six after it had been planned for members of the house to return to Washington the chamber's democratic leaders yesterday said it won't be happening after many of the four hundred plus lawmakers strongly objected and the capital position said the danger was too great amid the corona virus pandemic the Senate with a smaller number of one hundred members are still expected to go back to work on Monday Congress is set to work on the next virus aid package and house democratic leaders are negotiating they were yesterday with Republican leaders on options for being able to do so remotely and allowing proxy votes vice president Mike pence under a little bit of criticism yesterday for not wearing a facemask during his visit to the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota in apparent violation of its policy requiring requiring those two everybody in there to wear masks during the pandemic the video was showing pence he didn't wear a mask when he met with the male employee was recovered from the corona virus and is now donating plasma and during other parts of his visit the Mayo Clinic tweeted that it told pence about its mass policy before he arrived but the tweet was later removed fence explaining what is the vice president and tested for the corona virus on a regular basis and everyone who's around me is tested to for corona virus and since I didn't have the virus I thought it would be a good opportunity for me to speak to these researchers these incredible healthcare personnel and look them in the eye and say thank you I mean he's setting himself up for criticism by not donning a mask you know quite frankly and by the way you look at somebody in the ice for the rice not with your nose and your mouth and that's with a mask uppers scammers thrive on people who are confused and desperate making the current pandemic situation ideal for them fertile ground now they might be after your stimulus payment to confusion about how and when those payments of up to twelve hundred Bucks a more world will arrive from the Internal Revenue Service in combination with people's desperation for financial relief of made the process perfect for the scammers the Federal Trade Commission has already gotten more than eighteen thousand complaints of fraudulent activity related to stimulus payments as of April the fifteenth so to keep yourself safe you should be aware of stimulus related emails calls and texts the government is way too busy to contact you in any way to let you know your check is on the way so if anybody contacts you asking for personal information it's likely somebody trying to scam you also the stimulus payments they artificially called stimulus checks by the IRS the official term is at a Namik impact payment so be wary of any email call or text using the unofficial term it's a clue that the message is not legit so other things to look for the IRS should be sending you a receipt for your payment in the mail fifteen days after you get it whether through direct deposit or as a paper check through snail mail so they will be contacting you in any other way so make sure that you get that letter after receiving your payment now if you get it before it's a sign that something could be amiss and if you get suspicious for any reason let the FTC know about it on their complaint page so how to avoid scammers trying to get your stimulus check it is not called a stimulus check right then referred to it is that they refer to it as the economic impact payment it's not five twenty eight good morning a new unauthorized documentary on Sentosa brown is being released today here's fox's.
