Superbug fungus cases rose dramatically during pandemic
"Researchers at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention say cases of the dangerous fungus tripled in just over three years, with more than half of states now reporting it. According to the CDC, the coronavirus pandemic was likely partly responsible for the increase. Hospital workers were strained by COVID-19 patients, and that likely shifted their focus away from disinfecting other kinds of germs. The fungus candida Auris is a form of yeast that is hugely not harmful to healthy people, but can be a deadly risk to fragile hospital and nursing home patients. "Recent bank collapses that prompted a federal rescue are a reminder of the power still held by Washington lobbyists. It seemed like a good idea at the time, in 2018 Republicans working with president Trump to slash bank regulations joined forces with red state Democrats facing grim reelection prospects. The group passed a bill that rolled back portions of the 2010 Dodd Frank law. The bill was marketed as a form of relief for overburdened community banks, but it also lifted the threshold for strict oversight and mandatory stress testing of large mid sized banks, it is now being blamed for contributing to the collapse of Silicon Valley bank and signature bank whose executives lobbied for the Bill, the effort drew an army of more than a thousand lobbyists, companies and trade groups specifically mentioning the legislation spent more than $400 million in 2017 and 2018, according to an Associated Press analysis, Americans for financial reform, a watchdog group says we can draw a direct line between the deregulation driven by the bank lobby, and the chaos of the last few weeks. In Trump case, NY grand jury appears near end of its work
"A grand jury in New York appears near to finishing its work investigating Donald Trump over a hush money payment to a porn star. Police in Manhattan dropped off barricades yesterday, making preparations as a grand jury shrouded in secrecy draws closer to a possible indictment of former president Donald Trump. Trump claimed over the weekend, he expected to face criminal charges and urged supporters to protest his possible arrest, but reporters appeared to outnumber protesters at approach Trump gathering yesterday where the AP spoke with Gavin wax with the New York young Republican club. This never happened before. This is unprecedented. AP correspondent Mike balsamo explains that this is the state investigation after the federal probe that landed Michael Cohen in prison. There is a legal theory being explored in New York, looking at whether or not the violation of campaign finance laws could also be applied as a state offense. "Wyoming has instituted the nation's first explicit ban on abortion pills. Medication abortions which usually involve taking two prescription drugs days apart to terminate a pregnancy are effectively banned in more than a dozen states that prohibit all forms of abortion and 15 states restrict access to the pills, but Wyoming is the first state to specifically ban abortion pills, Republican governor Mark Gordon signed the legislation into law Friday, and it takes effect July 1st, but could be delayed in the courts of a lawsuit as filed. I don't even like to say the words stormy Daniels, but they're alleging, of course, that he paid her off in this kind of hush hush money scheme. And that therefore is illegal. And then he lied about it, and maybe used campaign funds, et cetera, et cetera. This is Alvin Bragg, who's alleging all this. He is the liberal prosecutor. There are the DA in New York City whose campaign actually was funded to the tune of a $1 million by a liberal group called color of change, political action group, which actually is in part funded by George Soros. So there's a lot of blue money here behind this. And the Democrats wanted this, right? They haven't given up. They think that this motivates their base, but I get news for them. You know what this is going to do? This is actually going to help Donald Trump immensely. Immensely, because no one wants to see a former president. I'm sorry. You know what? When I see the video of Joe Biden falling on the stairs of Air Force One, I don't like it. I actually cringe, I don't like Joe Biden's policies as you well know. I don't think he's a very good president, but the last thing I want to see is him falling on the stairs over and over again. I don't like that because you know what that to me reflects on our country.

Federal judge blocks key parts of California handgun law
"A federal judge has blocked key provisions of the California law that drastically restricts the sale of handguns. I'm Ben Thomas with the latest. The law requires new handguns have three components, an indicator showing whether the gun is loaded, a magazine disconnect mechanism that will stop the gun from firing if the magazine is not properly inserted. And micro stamping capability, so law enforcement can more easily link spent shell casings to the guns they were fired from. But U.S. district court judge cormac Carney ruled the requirements unconstitutional, writing no handgun available in the world has all three of these features, and he writes the regulations are having a devastating impact on California's ability to acquire and use new state of the art handguns. "Eric, I guess the reason that I enumerated the facts in the law as a non lawyer is because what the left tries to do is when they tell their story and weave this narrative. They overlook those because they don't want you to know. So they want people to turn on The Today Show and good morning Americans say the bad guy, we got them. We finally got them. What they don't want you to know is we got them on a law that doesn't exist anymore, and the point that I'm making is that you, when I want to have this discussion with people, I want them to say, to understand that you might hate Donald Trump. But what they are doing to get him is to literally throw out all of the laws of the United States. And to basically say that the means justify the end. There you go. And therefore, they go after a former president, then guess what? When they come hunting for you and they will. Then don't complain. Right. Because you have failed to stand up for what is good and right. And my point is, is that people need to go out and have the facts to argue because when you say to somebody, when they say, oh, well, he paid off this person. That may or may not be true. We are a country of laws and the law says that that charge had to have been filed with an X number of years. That is long since gone. You can't go back and say, well, John, this is the point is that what you're saying, and this is the breakdown of America, is when people talk about, well, it's poetic justice. He got what's coming. Ladies and gentlemen, shame on you. Shame on you if you get to live in a country like this and your knowledge of our laws and our system is so sloppy that you don't understand that poetic justice is zero justice.

"A lot of us, when we see things like the raid on Mar-a-Lago, when we see things like the raid on Roger Stone's home, you think, are they crazy? Like, do they not understand what this looks like to your average American? So let me kind of walk through a couple of things. I keep hearing people talk about, you know, I can't believe they're doing this to a former president. And when I keep thinking about is the following. Donald Trump has means and access to a ton of money and resources and talent to help him. How many people don't? Right? That's number one. Number two, the folks that are watching you right now, they've got to have a friend or a colleague or a family member that hates Donald Trump. Everybody does. And just stop them when they do. And say to them the following, the charges that Trump potentially is being brought up on are from 2015, the statue of limitations have expired. They are a misdemeanor from 8 years ago that they are trying to couple with something else allegedly campaign finance violations for a federal office at the state level. Again, from 8 years ago, and that have been passed on by the federal election commission and the feds. And you tell me that that doesn't sound like weaponizing our justice system. And because the problem is is that I look at this and I say to myself, if you're sitting at home right now, how just think about what happens to the average person who doesn't have the means and access that somebody like president Trump has. And I think he says this all the time. They're coming after me because but you're next. And he's right.

"All right guys, well, another busy weekend. If you were on Twitter, I'm sure you saw the frenzy of debate around balaji's $1 million Bitcoin bet. TLDR, balaji, srinivasan, who is the former coinbase CTO and just generally interesting thinker, he authored that book, the network state, which is also the name of his new podcast, and has been on this show before as well, has been what he has been ringing the alarm as he puts it around impending financial crisis. He is arguing that these bank failures are a direct result of fed policies, and he thinks it gets worse before it gets better. Now to put his money where his mouth is, he's taken at least two people up on a $1 million bet that Bitcoin reaches a $1 million per coin within 90 days. If that seems crazy to you, you are certainly not alone. That has been the standard response from people in the fin twit space and from traditional finance, but those who are in crypto don't quickly forget just how prescient biology's predictions around the COVID-19 pandemic were. Anyways, it's something I'm watching, but if you want more in depth on that, go check out the YouTube channel. I did a whole episode around it on Sunday. Because i don't really watch the news in korean or in english so for me like doing new stuff makes me feel so very like news. Ish all weird. Because i don't watch news. Generally the news at anytime feels like that most of the time for me Watching korean is really interesting because it helps me like study and learn higher level vocabulary. You know when you watch it online is totally different than actually watching. You literally read it out. Do retakes actually nail it. I actually got to interview the light. He was so nervous that he was shaking. He didn't know where to stand and stuff. And usually you know it's like a routine question when you start the interview. "A lot of sense to me. I have a theory quick. I do have a theory. Can't go forward compartmentalization. 'cause i used to be a government employees or at least when i worked for military but i know about compartmentalization no one person would ever know the entire part because if they got out with the entire story all the information and all the know how they'd be a very dangerous person somebody with only a piece of the puzzle can't blow the project. Are archaeological Just a lot of these details of the stories Don't lend themselves to the compartmentalization that he talked about So i i'm just highly highly doubtful that the government if they had ufo's Would work in the fashion. They detect your belief in what you're telling the person giving the test for enough. So if he sees a sociopath he totally believes everything that he is in his brain. So if he's if that's the case and that's what it is. He just so believes in what he's telling you that him it's true. It may not be true which also makes playing. Jones work too much but when it comes to documentaries i don't need all the fluff and all the diagrams and all the graphics and stuff like that i like to get to the story I enjoyed it. i liked it. I don't know about the guy sitting on on the counter flipping through pages talking on a cell phone to some guy but that's quarterback but as madonna so the part the part that connected to you was the parts where bob was onscreen elena story absolutely i like when they were talking to him and he was actually telling his story. I really dug very cool. Very cool. now Chris for you. You're probably had some familiarity with the lazar story Before the documentary I did it did yeah So where where do you stand. You're kind of on on the opposing side. What do you think of The the lazar story well I mean initially when i first learned about it back in the ninety s you know fully onboard totally totally believable And of course. That was a time when the internet was wasn't around and so it made a follow up on his information a lot. More difficult to do Now however i'm i definitely think that he is a disinformation agent Put out there to Spread disinformation That for me that has been That has been even more Proven but more reinforced by the likes of people like Philip embroiled no and What's that deuce name guy that was featured on the mirage min documentary paul. What's his face. Ball benowitz benowitz. Yeah yeah the fact that there are. I mean in braga. Wasn't this information. But the do destroyed up lied about his credentials for years and wrote books and stuff And then but benowitz was in fact in actual disinformation. So i think. I think i feel like czars playing the long con doing the same thing. intriguing So y- things about ufo's and ufo culture is the the cons because there's plenty of them out there and a lot of them to present themselves as having you know some kind of special knowledge whether it is scientific or spiritual. There's that weird new agey religion crossover into ufo's So i don't know at for for me. At least doesn't bob has not pushed that line Right so so. I think that's one one thing in his credit disease. What are what are your thoughts on. The bob was our story. How much of it should we believe. So my issue is. I believe that he either believes that. It is true or Is a very good actor. Because i'm with james on that front. He does appear to be being truthful when he's doing this interview but i just i can't. I can't bring myself to to believe that. Everything he says is one hundred percent true So many potential discrepancies. The the erasure of his his credentials The lack of credentials. But somehow he gets Brought aboard some of those things just seem very strange to me But yeah. That's kind of where i'm at with it. I believe he believes a lot of. It's true now. Does that mean that they that. The government government Contagious the gum. It didn't go ahead and create a farce for him to feel like Like like he's doing something I don't know.
