your phones now being available in many different states Are people allowed to just kind of gamble with real money in the metaverse It's really complicated It's gray area So in order to gamble and U.S. states mostly you will need a gambling license in the states that do happen to allow gambling Ice poker which is the game we're talking about that exists in decentraland It is gray because you're not necessarily gambling with chips that you then cash out for money There are a number of different currency systems in digital assets that each have varying values that people are kind of playing with In order to actually access the gameplay you do have to be either you have to either buy or be in possession of an NFT that sells for 5007 $1000 or more But gambling experts aren't sure whether that qualifies as consideration which is something that someone would put up in order to gamble in real life That's a lot of money Yeah I feel like all of our browser for it a little bit So glimpse of I don't know that i've ever had a serious raid on my channel. That sounds cool in theory but it is kind of becoming a problematic interaction the way that twitches built it for their platform so much so this is the first story coming by way of wired. Who wrote this up. Oh cecilia day. Deon stasio dion stoskopf. Oh wow i cannot see that name rates have become so problematic twitches now suing users over alleged hate raids against streamers so a stringer starts something on the channel someone raids that channel and then a whole flock of dots. Magnify that channel That raid and it's gotten so out of control that beyond just utilizing their own tools through their own terms of service. We're actually now looking at lawsuits. Which is going to start suing individual users to then also try to break down and get the legal disclosures on who is implementing this policy and this policy who is implementing the strategy and how these are being formed and who's creating these bots. They're gonna try and start breaking down kind of the mechanisms of win. A raid goes hateful so this is very early. We're talking about the beginnings of these lawsuits. So this is absolutely something to keep an eye on how a an organization like twitch under the umbrella of amazon is going to start utilizing the legal system. Not their own internal mechanisms but the legal system a government's legal system to try and facilitate policy on their platform. And i'm i'm really struggling to think if anyone has an idea on when something like that has happened in the past because this to me feels like something new. This feels like something different. It's different than like you know like in the early days of of like napster now. Music labels sued napster and they sued the fans but they weren't responsible for the platform of napster youtube as sort of abdicated their responsibilities on copyright by creating mechanisms where rightsholders could go and like use youtube policies of striking channels or taking their monetization to to protect their copyright. I can't think of a situation in the past where a platform has sued their own users to protect the structure of their platform. So this is absolutely when. I think we need to keep an eye on because this is this is how we interact with laws with governments. And how mega corporations actually do implement policy for their users on that platform. This to me is is like crazy. I've never seen anything quite like this before. From from gorham lord. What exactly is a twitch raid. So as far as i understand it. Because i am bad at the twitch it is a it is a way for you to take your audience on like. Let's say you've got a you've got a certain number followers and then point them to go in experience someone else's stream and often or i believe the original intention of that was to help a larger twitch streamers or even a smaller guess But but to kind of share some love. I'm going to point people who watch my stuff over to someone else's stream and maybe it's a smaller stream and we can kind of build up their numbers. Or maybe i've got a smaller twitch channel but i wanna go and show support for one of my favorite larger streamers and we're all just gonna go head over there together it's a community and community and kind of stapling those communities together because of the nature of online douchebag. This type of tool is now being utilized to of try and crush channels. People don't like so it's It's a an ugly look for twitch because they're trying to implement community policy that makes twitch kind of a nicer place to be and their tools are now being used against the actual platform. So it's a it's heavy stuff for twitch that i don't fully understand. I don't think it's ever really happened to me. So i don't know what it looks like me. I still have not implemented any of those e emotes or or like reward bells or any of the other fun things you can do want which. I'm still mad at the twitch so i don't know how far or how deep you know this notion of raids and stuff goes beyond me. Excuse me all right moving right along to another story. We just need to keep aware of Because i feel like this is going to be. This is going to be a brutal state. Government legal showdown where california has now passed a bill. That might improve. Conditions for amazon's warehouse workers. This is written up by marielle moon on in gadget. ab seventy-one will force companies to be transparent about their quotas and basically. This is a bill that is going to try. And regulate how a corporation or a warehouse or or a staffer like amazon uses algorithms to vet the productivity of their employees. And it's very likely if the if it's passed first of all we we haven't seen the governor sign off on this bill yet but we're going to have to see how.

Thirty years after comes out is a good time to re release that thing or create disposable income. Yes i just have a choice. So would you. Would you buy one of these things each tempting. I mean i've had a quick look in the article about and the list of games that they've announced so far is yours looking very promising. Is the game that. I'd want to see especially a lot of them. 'cause we a lot of magazines so a lot of the games i played were from covetousness which often meant they. The demos and you know we had two big disk boxes which we'd rifle through a neo you'd stick a game in a you play half an hour and he gets the end of the demo and you check it out and getting you spend half an hour to load and so on but a lot of the games which showing up on that list of things like i played the demo of when i was a kid and i really liked i had enough other demos. I wasn't particularly about not having the full game so so that kind of makes me think. Oh yeah i could get that and play those games. But then also i think do actually want to spend one hundred quid to place a media games when i could i could. I could buy some modern games. Play them on my steam deck.
