The Secret to Creating Real Freedom Through Digital Entrepreneurship

"Jason say. What's up to fire nation and share something that you believe about becoming successful that most people disagree with. Well i i thank you so much for having me on and that's a great question i for me. I guess only answer for me for me. I think it was a healthy dose of ego and delusion I think that. I think that as when you got big dreams and you got someplace like goals you want to achieve. They're gonna be a lot of people who just would prefer you stay in that kind of world of mediocrity and i think if you wanna be really successful at anything you've gotta you've gotta believe that that dream is possible that you can create manifest that and then you have to live in the beautiful delusion of that dream until you achieve. If you can do that. I think the odds of success go up the beautiful delusion fire nation. I love how other entrepreneurs talk about. How ignorance is bliss because in a way it is nice to be ignorance about the pain. The strife the struggles at a lot of entrepreneurs go through before finding success. So guess what you know sometimes. Ignorance is bliss. Delusions not the worst thing in the world in today as i mentioned in the introduction fire nation. We're talking about the secret to creating real freedom through digital entrepreneurship. So let's just dive into it. Because i want to know jason. What makes entrepreneurship more important today than it's ever been before. I have a background in finance and economics. And i think that we are part of we are at the very early stages of a a massive troll and economic shift One that is similar to what we saw during the industrial revolution. And and these way. I can explain. It is prior to the industrial revolution. Most people were entrepreneurs. They lived on farms. They they were blacksmiths or apprentices and And that was the way we lived our lives. And we've gotten away from that. But i think what's happening right now and it's the very beginning of it. We are seeing a shift into automation into artificial intelligence. Augmented reality all these really amazing things that are gonna happen for us and our culture. But it's going to cause a massive shift. In the way we work

2021 Voice AI Predictions with Thadani, Tingiris, Stapleton, and Fields

"Welcome back to the voice about podcast. Worse okay so we're gonna get your prediction is why don't you just tell who rain agency and what you do. Short so ran is an agency that sales voice assistant experiences for large companies. We work with companies like nike nestle. Flat rock in the win and we really help them design and build conversational experiences. That are going to drive business. Value so You know some our collaborations in work have been with google on. Abc mouse and we also recently built a experience for the win hotel. Las vegas where we implemented a voice enabled concierge in their hotel rooms Slept on the work that we do. That's awesome well. I shouldn't have to talk about some of these projects you've been doing so we'll figure out an appropriate time for that. Because i'm i'm interested in what's going on with the win. They were an early adherent to voice. I know they've continued to invest. So that's a good example but today's focus is on what we should expect to the voice. Ai industry over the next year and to summarize you're looking at the rise of owned some people call them cost them some people call them branded voice assistance. Why don't you describe what that is to you and why you think that that's going to come to pass. Yes so You know. I think we've all been seeing. Rain has been very bullish on this space of own voice assistance. So these are you. Can think of america's erica or walmer. Ask sam so rather than relying on the army. Assistant landforms forms like alexa. Google assistant like some of these brands have in the past. They're building their own ranted. Ai assistance That sit on their own channels. They more control over the user experience in the data that comes out of those experiences and the reason that we've been particularly bullish on this in our twenty twenty one. Prediction is just based on a lot of the antitrust regulation conversation. That's been happening over the past year. in in our view at rain there has been unprecedented. Scrutiny of tat as a whole. It's really the first time that you know. Government leaders across both sides of the aisle are taking a vested interest in antitrust topics. Actually trying to understand them and understand that they're asking. There's a lot of reason to believe that they tech companies may not look like they do right now in twelve to eighteen months in q. Add on top of that. What's been happening just past week with twitter and amazon apple after some recent events is just more ammunition that will fuel this conversation around breaking big tech which will certainly impact voice assistance. Kind of how. How wall yeah. I think that's interesting. I was just talking to someone earlier today about this. They brought something up. And i said you know. There's a lot of companies out. There have been focused on different things over the last decade. And i think it's it it might be that a company like amazon which is really just focused customer. I you know they have their strategy customer. I you know that's been a twenty five year run of that focus. They might actually start looking more legal and regulatory focused over the next decade. And i take a lot of rash or maybe justifiably so to say we have to do that. In order to keep serving our customer. That is the way we best serve our customer. But i think that's really interesting thing but like not to go down that rabbit hole too much. Because i'm sure there's plenty of opportunities to do that. You're happy to comment on that. But this idea of assistance has been something that we've been talking about On voice for awhile. I know you've been talking about it. I think there's a sense that Doing this is too hard or that. The investment is really to significant that. If you're only only amazon or google can actually get away with this I don't think you agree with that. Yeah i think there are a lot of different ways to do this right. There are ways to do it Round up a lot of investment. Probably very hard as we've talked it out in the past like thank america did with erica and i have talked about the fact that we consider that to be successful. A lot went into that success rate but there are other companies that are doing it in very different ways. In still leveraging. I think solutions are kind of being patched together because today there are a lot of really interesting tool providers out there raza pico to fi- you could very well used pieces of these different assistance to at least start to test and understand when owned voice. Assistant would look like before. Making larger investment in rain has been kind of in the gamut of those types of experiences. So everything from you know. How do you do this from the ground up to starting to piece together. Some of those providers to It'll be solutions.

Bee Gees' Barry Gibb talks going country with ‘Greenfields’

"On paper. Berry give is a superstar. Sorry i should say sir berry give the only surviving member of the bg's he is one of the most successful songwriters of all time. And yes he has also been knighted but in person berry give is exceedingly humble. He's kind and as you'll hear today deeply interested in and excited by making music. Some back story quickly berry was born on the isle of man and moved with his family to australia when he was a boy. That family included his three younger brothers. His bg's bandmates robert morris as well as his youngest andy their journey has been explored in a new. Hbo documentary called the bg's. How can you mend a broken heart. And now barry has released a new album that brings some of the songs he and his brothers wrote together. In a whole new way on greenfields the give brother songbook volume one. Barry performed songs along with folks. Like dolly parton jason. Isabel and brandi carlile today. Very good and the producer of greenfield's dave cobb. Join me to talk about how this album came together. Dave is in nashville and berry joins us from where he now lives in miami to get things rolling. Here's a song that was first released on the bg's nineteen seventy five album. Main course on this new album barry. Performs with miranda lambert and j buchanan this is jive talkin s live discount so misunderstood john. Young you just heard. Jive talkin barry gibbs singing with j buchanan verana lambert a song originally on the nineteen seventy five album main course that version is from berry's new album greenfield's the game brothers. Songbook one today. I am joined by berry. Give and the producer of greenfield's dave cobb and just so everybody knows whose voice is whose though i don't think it'll be that tricky. I'd like to welcome you individually so berry. Welcome to the world cafe. Thank you thank you dave. Welcome to the world cafe. Thank y'all have to be here. It's great to have you both on now on the surface the two of you might seem like an unlikely pairing so get into how this all came together berry. I understand that your son steven had something to do with you. Getting tuned into the dave cobb universe through the music of artists. He's worked with like chris stapleton and jason isabel and. Brandi carlile it. Could you tell us how that happened. Yeah well i mean just outside this room. Stephen came out a darby her. This and on his iphone it was chris stapleton and just blew me away so i thought wow. That's that's for me. You know as right up my street. And and if i'm gonna make anymore record that's the guy i want to work with and i said who is this guy called dave cobb and he's the probably the biggest producer. Ah in the world right now. i should okay. Sounds good to me. Let's find out he's interested in dave. What was it like getting that call. Like what was your reaction when you heard from berry and his people. I'm a massive. Bg's fan and their early records You know top ten albums for me and specifically to be i and it's something that i obsessed on for many many years. I mean that. I record particularly it has got to love somebody on it and holiday and turn of the century and these songs that to me. I love records at sound like. They're you can't imagine humans getting together and making them. They sound like they're made in remarks or something that was one of those records seminole records getting that call and getting to do. Some of these early songs was just more than i ever wish or dream of mine. Well it was an incredible experience. And i thank you for it and i sincerely hope we get to do it again. I promise not to be show nervous. Very i also read. That stephen can convince you that people would want to work with you which blows my mind because you know you're one of the most successful songwriters of all time. Why would you think that you're very kind but nashville is a different world. It's a different world and if you if you're not accepted in nashville then you not accept it. That's all there is to. Nobody explains it. You're just you know. And and at one occasion. I was in nashville and i met ricky skaggs and got a chance to make a do a track with him and it was called soldier. Son and and I was. I just thought you know. This is where i whether other people think showing this year along

Los Angeles Lakers get championship rings with empty arena

"Was it like last night being in the staple center so just to kind of play off that. And that's why i was curious to know if you've been to so. This is the first one. I've been to sporting event. I didn't go to the first two. Preseason games added staples center. Did everything from the studio. Postgame finishes start hustling over there there's not a soul outside of stapleton right. So you're just right out the gate you're accustomed to people lined up everywhere even getting into your media credentials gonna take some time get inside staples center. I go to section one. Fifteen is where you know. My credential has me sitting cap it was. There's no reason to under Understate this incredibly weird incredibly weird. I mean When i got in adam. Silver was just grabbing the mike he was. Obviously there would genius. You got all the lakers lined up together. And they're doing a lot of stuff on the jumbotron But it's the just think about this the way you're talking about. It's one thing on tv to have fake fan noise. It's a completely different thing when you see the entire arena right. You're you're looking at all the mtc to know that there's only x. amount of media that are there and then obviously all the players for that type of a moment for for the lakers grabbing their championship ring to championship number. Seventeen which you know is incredibly important to this organization Anthony davis getting his first one. Lebron james getting his fourth all the storylines and there isn't a soul in the crowd. I i'd be lying to say it was incredibly odd. Who's incredibly weird. But this is the circumstances and you know nothing you can really do about it.

Summerfest announces new three-weekend format for 2021

"New announcement. About what Summer fest 2021 is going to look like and we're joined right now. In the first Midwest Bank hotline by summer fest, CEO Don Smiley, Don. Good Afternoon. Good afternoon, Jeff. How are you? I am Well, thank you. Okay, Let's talk about the big news. What Summer fest. 2021 is going to look like and then we'll kind of explore why That decision was made, but so what? It's gonna look like Sure we're we're changing the festival format. The three weekends versus 11 days, so we'll start on June 24th and work 24 25 26. July, 123 and July 89 10. We will eliminate two Sundays, two Wednesdays and a Tuesday. That's five days. So what the essence of this is and and what we discovered through? Surveys and focus groups in in in in and data mining was that our customers want Mohr national bands. Earlier in the day. Can so We're going to take the expenses from those five days that I just gave to you and we're going to reallocate them to the weekends. Where will have local bands up early, but well, you you can picture a national band. Being on the Harley stage or the Miller stage at 5 P.m. and then another headliner at nine or 10 o'clock that evening, so it's an effort to go after more quality. Versus quantity and really fish. When the fish are biting, more people are more apt to be out on the weekends. Thursday, Friday Saturday with disposable income And And in using their energy entertainment dollars on those days versus the five days that I gave you, which, really when it came right down to it, they were really weak and that is W e a K. There were weak days for us, and we were spending a lot of money to produce those days and our money can be better spent in reallocating tow three weekends done. This is just in some ways respects. The logical progression in number means. Summer fest originally was always Thursday through Sunday, 11 days and a number of years ago. You made the decision. To to drop that first Monday because of a variety of things, including, I think week attendant, So this is really just kind of a logical progression of that I would imagine. It is. I mean, you know when you look at Theaters and restaurants and so on. I mean, you find a lot of businesses closed on Mondays. But when you're running a music festival The expenses are are are significant and Whatever you can. Maximize those dollars on different days. We concluded that that's the way to go. Even though it's too less days we're gonna have we're gonna have better bands and we're gonna have the bands that our customers our fans are looking for is still at a very affordable price. We're still gonna have free gated missions. We're still gonna have promotion days. We're still gonna have Children's fast day. It's such a It's such so none of that's going to change. We're just going to camp up. No pun intended thie the quality of the of the bands that we signed and on top of that on the fringes. If you will, pre summer fest in post summer fast, we're going to do a lot of shows in the American family insurance amphitheater in the beam, O'Hare's Pavilion will probably do more shows. And those two buildings that in the history of the festival So there's going to be a lot of activity in that building. It was too bad we couldn't use it the summer Ah, it turned out beautiful. And I'm referring to the reconstruction of the amphitheater. So and I know we're not alone there. I mean, you know everyone's hurting, and that includes sports and in restaurants and businesses alike. We understand that, but we had it. We have a scheduled board meeting this morning. We went through all of this. It was a unanimous decision. And so while we do understand that there are Maur. Important things going on in our world today and in people's lives have changed because of coded and also social unrest. This is just one of those things that we had to get out there and get on with it for the planning of 21, Don't just so I'm clear that this is not a one off plan for 2021. This is this is the plan for Summer fest moving forward is that correct? We'll see. I mean, I'm not going to sit here and tell you that You know that This is a perfect plan. And if if it works if all of the data That we considered in making this decision plays out. Well, then it will be a nine day festival going forward. I mean, you know who's to say that there isn't a show on Wednesday night prior to the opening Thursday, and who's to say this might turn into a 10 Day festival? I mean, you know, everything changed with Kobe. Everyone's life has changed their personal life, their social life. All businesses have been affected. And and and we're not on an island here, so we really believe that we have to be flexible. We have to be creative. We have to be able to pivot when when it's necessary, and that's exactly what we're doing. We lost $10.4 million in 2020. That's Before depreciation by not operating summer fest or any other shows down here or the ethnic festivals, So that's quite a mountain to climb. To try to make that money back and start replenishing our reserves again after we put $10 million of our own money into the amphitheatre, which was a $51 million project, so You know, I have, really, I really couldn't tell you what the future holds. I can tell you exactly what 21 is planned for, And if for some reason we run into a fork in the road In 21. Well, then we'll make a decision. At that time when you mentioned the ethnic festivals. Does this new schedule for summer fest proper, have any Will it have any impact on any of the ethnic festivals and they're scheduling No. The ethnic festivals would have the same dates as they would have had in 20 Got it. One of the other things in your announcement today for the nine days of summer fest. It looks like eight of the days are already booked for the amphitheater, and it looks like you've got just a a killer lineup coming there. I can give them to you if you're interested. Sure. Okay. On June 24 we have Khalid 25 is Luke Bryan 26 is Justin Bieber. July 1st Dave Matthews. The second is blank. 1 82. The third is Halsey. The eighth is Stapleton and the 10th his guns and roses. So we have one day to fill July 9th. Actually, it's filled but we can announce it. Yes, and we have some other shows sprinkled in around those dates. Already. So I think that's one of the things that people need to recognize as well and in part because of the partnership you have with with live nation now, the summer fest grounds. There's even outside the parameters of the run of summer fest that the summer fest grounds we're going to be utilized, probably more than ever in 2021 with big shows, right? Yes, sir. That was a great deal We did with the Frank Brothers, which is the live nation partner here in Wisconsin and That will provide more more shows more opportunities it required. Um, the reconstruction of the amphitheater. If we didn't do that, we wouldn't be any more shows And you know, there are some shows that we won't get there. Some shows that just play that, you know, they just want to play indoors and will will not get a shot of those. And There's plenty of venues in town for for those bands to play indoors and then and then we're going to get a shot at at bands that want to play amphitheaters. So we feel like we're in good shape. They're in and we're set up for the future, and I'm sure there's going to be some traditionalists who look at this and say, I really I really missed that Tuesday's show or I can't believe they're doing away with opening day Wednesday, but This is kind of a new reality that you're dealing with in a festival. Look, Let's just, you know, get this out of the way. I mean, we know we're not going to get all the votes and we know that there will be you know, there will be some that don't agree, but you know, we're going off a day out of I, You know, everyone's entitled to their own opinion. I love that. I think that's passion. That's like arguing who should hit second or third and play right field or second base. I mean, if they're not talking about you, I mean, then you really have a problem. So You know, everyone's entitled to their own opinion. We're just going on the facts. We know what our attendance is going back. Years. Um For Thursday, Friday Saturday and we know what kind of revenue we do on those days and we know exactly what the expenses are so for us to set this up. And get it ready for future generations and replenish our reserve funds. This is the move that we need to make. Got it done. Smiley Summer fest CEO. Thanks so much for spending some time with me this afternoon. I always appreciate it.

"Who aren't who don't wear their poverty as a badge of honor and pride you know that lament the fact that when money short and who are constantly instantly trying to improve and increase their own human capital so anyway <hes> you know where I'm that's not what I want to talk about today but I got I've got I had to get it off my chest and frankly I we're starting something new so so as you guys know I started the winners list not long ago Jason Stapleton Dot Com forward slash winners for all you guys who are interested in entrepreneurship growing Your Business Marketing copywriting influence persuasion all that stuff that goes into building a great brand and building a great company. I'm assembling a list of people that that's what they want to know about and in an effort to constantly try and improve the speed with which I can get information to you and in an attempt to try and get away from facebook twitter all of these really big behemoths of social media that I think are just destroying what what was really for a very long time a great place for ideas to be I shared and for people to to be able to build their own brands and share their own ideas. It's kind of degrading into something ugly now and so yesterday day before yesterday I went to Matt and I said Man I wanna I wanna try and find something thing that we can use that would both allow me to communicate with everybody really quickly instantly but that also gives people a chance to chat and talk amongst themselves so I really needed to things I needed a distribution platform where I could just put stuff out to you and then I needed someplace where you guys could talk amongst yourselves and communicate and where all these winners could go to to mingle together because one of the things I want is that if you have a mindset it says I don't like being at the back of the plane and having people make fun of me for not having any money that doesn't make me WanNa clap that makes me WANNA slug punch somebody in the throat K.. If that's you then I want to put you with other people. All who are like you gay because that's you your success is driven by a lot of things but the people that you surround yourself is one of them k. one of the biggest ones and so I went to Matt and I said what what can we do and he says did you should look it. Telegram because telegram has channels and it has groups so not only can you do <hes> instant messaging one on one and you can do phone calls but they also have group chats and then they have a thing called channels which is distribution only and so if if you go to Jason Stapleton Dot com slash connect it will take you to a place where you can join the winners list on Instagram and once you're part of that group on Instagram what you're part of that channel you can also it will also give give you the chance to go to the discussion area and actually chat with everybody else's in there. We're in. We're Beta testing this right now so I understand that the maybe some hiccups and we may change a few things but I really want to try and find a way to put you. All together in a group where you can support each other and also you can get instant really real time updates from me as I'm putting stuff out so so for example we had a crash this morning of our system. I just went into the winners list into the winners circle. L. and <hes> did a quick video and said Hey. We're we're down. Check this out. Look at Matt's face. We'll get mad face and we made. I Made.

"Welcome back everybody. This is wealth, power and influence. I am Jason Stapleton. Your host. I have an incredible guest that I want to introduce you to right now. He is a man of some controversy until you actually sit down and talk with him. I've been talking to him now for about the last half hour woman sitting up the cameras, and everything and really interesting guy. Interesting perspective hotel. Jesus, thank you so much for being here might have a call. You my friend now after an hour of talking. But I you have been let's just talk about the controversy. I, I don't want to belabor that, but you have been called a lot of things and you have been your profiles, come up over the last year or so, because of let's couple years, because of your comments having to do with the. All right. I mean to Charlottesville, having to do with, you know some comments about the Jews and in black people moving back to Africa. And I just I want, let's start the bef-. Ginning and explain to everybody hotel is, is a group hotel nation. The the, the word hotel talk a little bit about that. Explain who you are. And what this hotel nation is yes. So right around, it's on Mike ground and Trayvon Martin on those guys were murdered. There was a disturbance in the black community. Everybody's spirits really low and people didn't know what to do. Exactly. So I took a very solution every mindset towards that thing to borrow from Oz. Toray black goes matter. But, you know, I looked at it from very solution based position. And really what I said was, you know, police brutality I think can be squashed, if we owned our cities of owned our towns we own the mayor, if we own the police, you know, if there was police brutality, Lisa. It wouldn't be racially motivated, but I was met with very invective comments from black feminists, and the black left. Mostly black feminists at that time, mostly, the blackout GPT community, mostly women and ABC called you hotel, and I'm like hopes that means peace and satisfaction..

And they got everything from knives and stuff for the outdoors hatchets to canvas bags, which will really cool. The one, I ordered was the was the bourbon, one at the urban glass tumblers and it's got the what of the stick is. And then it's got a piece of charred wood that you stick in there to give it kind of, you know, that woodsy flavor. And like, yeah, that's actually didn't even ask them for that one. They said this is the one we're sending you and I go well, that's the one I wanted anyway. Like a cast iron Skillet. Like for making pancakes. Yes. So if you're if you if you like to go outdoors every a cast iron Skillet in their house, anyway. Because you there's some stuff when you need to cook with a cast iron Skillet, but all kinds of stuff, it's definitely for men, the man in your life. So if you got if you had a husband or a boyfriend out there that you're serious about put him on this. It's like forty five bucks a month and they send you something new every month and they got lots of different boxes for you to choose from, and they change all the time. So I know this adds running super long, but I don't care like 'I'm legitimately excited about this. And I can't wait for mine to come in the mail. And when I do, I'll bring it in and show you guys because it's pretty cool. And the last one Dina tramp fly light, this is the indoor Flytrap uses light straight out of your outlet. I've been talking about this for a long time, because I I've got several of these and it's super easy. I would've never thought that just this light could capture and kill a lot of the bugs and flies and stuff, and frankly, when I lived close to the water. I didn't think I had that much flying around until I plug this thing in, and then you start to realize, oh, do. There is a ton of stuff like flying around this apartment and the flights capturing all of it. So if you're looking for a safe way to capture the flies in and the -squitoes and all the garbage that is in your house all the time. "Host Jason Stapleton Whitney as always Matt with as always is Matt. What's up, buddy? How's it going? Today's today's an exciting day. You I it's is it your aniversary today up today is Amy's and my first anniversary. Congratulations. You made it a year. Yeah. We, you know how we met. Right. I know you met on this show. So tell the story teller be the story. I'm so I, I was just kind of starting to dabble libertarianism. This is now three years ago and started listening to the show, and I'm listen to Tom would show, and then I had just googled libertarian podcast and found this one started listening to it, and there's a Facebook groups, I went and joined the Facebook group and it was one person in a Facebook group that was very active. She was always present, and we ended up, I don't remember who sent who sent who friend request, but she and I became friends, and then one day, she posted a, a video of a little girl running around to a supermarket and. Just hugging random strangers. And, and I commented on it and said, yeah, I'll, I'll take one of those and, and she we bantered back and forth for a little bit. And then she just posted her phone number in a Facebook comment, thread anos like I texted it, and I said to do you just post your phone number on Facebook. And I went back and looked and it was gone, and she replied and said, yeah, whatever it, we started texting and one thing led to another. And now we've been. Didn't even live in the same state. Did. You know she lived in L A, and I lived in Seattle. Yeah. So how'd that work? We just texted. And then she did a, a road trip. She drove up to Seattle to visit me, and, and we hung out and then one thing led to another. She moved up to Seattle to be with me. We got married and then moved back down here and then somehow up on the show that brought us together. I love story what a great story man, and you and two of the best people to, to just really fantastic people. So Amy says, I was the one who who sent the friend requests. You're okay. So you are. You're already thinking about making my moves right on. This is the first in many couples because Jason is starting a libertarian dating site. Can you imagine what a nightmare like five hundred dude five thousand dudes and three women total sausage fest, unless it's a game libertarian dating? No chance that, that thing would would survive his. Yeah. You, you, you guys need while we keep talking about influence on this show. The libertarians among us the anarchist capitalists in the group really need to work on their seduction skills because the influence and seduction are, are close at hand. They're, they're largely. There's a lot of overlap there. And some of you are focused on how to politically influence and what you should be doing is figuring out how to, you know how to emotionally influence how to seduce, what's seduction really has a bad connotation to it. I think it's really not. It's just it's the same thing it's just influence for the purposes of sex. And, and I guess relationship Malloch says that if if they ever find a cure for autism. The libertarian party is doing. Oh, anyway. All right. So I don't know what you guys did this weekend. But I was I was at a graduation for my, my youngest daughter Reagan was graduating kindergarten. Yes, they do that. My own feelings about that. Well, let me get it all out. I'll just explained to you. So she had her kindergarten graduation. And then it was the last day of school for everybody else. And so they had his last day of school kind of award ceremony thing. So I was doing that. And then you know, just spent the weekend hanging out with them. And I don't remember when you were in school Matt did. They have graduation ceremonies for Ewing. Kindergarten like I remember they did preschool..

"That's ring dot com slash Stapleton. All right moving right along. What was I going to say before the before I read those ads? What were we talking about? I was gonna say something when are you guys from the group? Tell me what I was gonna talk about something something super important to talk about. We were. I can't remember. Yes, e-, you know, what bad coaches so captivated by advertisements. That's right. You you were already thinking why ring security system. How do I get one of those? And but anyway, we'll come back to it. I'm sure I was going to say so cars. Yes. Okay. So conversion converting people. So in the nineties, I believe it was the early nineties. There was a campaign both Ford and Chevy did campaigns to try and convert Chevy drivers to four drivers and vice versa. You to switch and Ford did not try it for as long as Chevy did. I don't believe. But in essence, what they figured out was it was three to four times more expensive to get somebody to convert from a product that they, you know, were reasonably happy with to a product that they would really love or switch from Ford to Chevy, for example. Then. Was to get a current Chevy owner to just by Nucor? Three to four times as expensive. And what that tells us folks is that when somebody is happy when they. Here's what happens is. There's a lot of different psychological stuff that's happening in your brain. When you buy a Ford truck or any core. But those she's force for example. First thing you do is ever going to see it actually, dude. You bought Bonner truck? How you like it? I love it. Why even if you hate it? You're not going to say, you hate it. Because you spend all that money on it. You don't look like an idiot. So you're going to maintain the consistency of you being somebody who makes good decisions by both talking about how much you love it and explaining all of the reasons why you bought that particular model with that will leather seats or whatever the trim package was that you got on it. And how how you came to that decision. So you are going to logic the crap out of everybody you run into who asks you about your truck if they say, I'm thinking about buying one. Do you think I should buy that one? Well, you're never gonna say, no what you. Might say is well, if I was going to do it again, I would buy this model where that where I would this. Make sure you get this feature because I really miss not having that feature. You're not going to say, oh, no, dude. Go by Chevy. This is just been awful. I did that when I bought my Jeep. But I'm I don't know, I'm different. So when you look at that, that's some of the stuff that you do. So when you do that every time you do that, you are creating a necessity subconsciously to maintain consistency. You also going to be approached by a whole bunch of people who tell you. Oh, you bought a four man what you need to be a Chevy, man. And you are then going to defend your Ford to the death because you can't let us Chevy man tell you that you made a bad decision. So there is also the sense to defend the decisions that we make all of that creates a desire or need subconsciously to maintain consistency. We are desperate for consistency. Not just in our own lives. But also we want it from other people. So for example, if you listen to Rush Limbaugh today, and all of a sudden he came out and started bashing on Trump and talking about what an idiot he is and looking for someone to run against him..

"And. Well, Hello everybody and welcome back. This is the Jason Stapleton program. Broadcasting once again from very wet, California. It's been raining all weekend long, lots of mudslides, lots to panga passes. Now, what's up turn the volume up a little bit not my well my volumes fine. So as volumes low on your end people believe the group or saying that it's low. Okay. Well, you got a boost that on your, okay? I don't know how to do that that figured out. Okay. So yeah. The people, of course, at Mattis talking about or the people in the private Facebook group, and you get some benefits by being part of that number one. Is you get a watched the show live and comment? You get to be part of the before show, which we didn't do much of the day because we're running a little bit behind. And then the after show this is going to get really cool. We start having guests and stuff on and people being able to ask questions and have count an after show Cuna that will do and that kind of thing, and and then also they do things like do a monthly kind of private Cuna with me. And that is actually the the February's QNA is happening on Monday at five PM. So that's five PM Pacific time. So if you all happen to be central or east coast, you can you know adjust accordingly. But the point I'm making is we do this stuff to kind of keep you guys engaged in and help you just provide a little extra benefits you guys. I get lots of people who want to ask me questions who want to have a piece of my time so to speak, and so one of the things I we do for all our members as we we just do a private session. I answer questions and talk and pretty much whatever you guys want. So that's happening on Monday. If you're not a member, we now have two hundred and you know, basically, two hundred thirty two hundred fifty members something like that right now and going really, well, we're growing every single day. Just had another new member this morning before I came in to the studio. So it's real simple. Just go to Jason Stapleton dot com slash members. And you.

"Uh-huh. Hello. And welcome back everybody. This is the Jason Stapleton program. So glad you're joining us here today where beautiful ended up Monday morning with me as always Matt. How are you buddy? I'm fantastic. All right. So got some stuff. I wanna talk about. They don't have a lot to talk about today. So we may not, you know, maybe shorter show. No reason to keep you here any longer than I have wind with which to speak of. But we do have a new camera running here. I've been talking with the guys in the private Facebook group who are watching the stream live and who get to common to me part of what we're doing and as working out pretty good. So we're gonna test it for another couple of days. And if it works, we're going to get a couple more of these bad boys before you know it. We're gonna have a nice little three camera shoot back up and running again and very exciting. What is what just happened? That's crazy happening the lights just went out. And then came back on like a power surge. All right. Here's the thing. When the big one hits I hope that I'm here not doing what you on the note. I hope I'm here and not on the twenty seventh floor of my of my apartment trying to get out because I'm watching all kinds of like crazy different ways to get out of your apartment when the earthquake hits. And yeah, I don't I it makes me nervous being here. I mean, we're on the main floor which is run outside, and we'll probably survive unless gigantic crevice opens in the middle of the street, and we fall into the you know, the pit of doom. But that just freaked me out for him. He says it was only in the studio. It wasn't out there at all really. All right. Well, maybe somebody wants to do show today. But so we got a couple of things I wanna talk about. And if you guys want to join the conversation be part.

"That's ZipRecruiter dot com slash Stapleton. Really, really excellent. Excellent company. What they do is they go out and they post your job on like two hundred different job sites. And so you don't have to go and do that. They do it all for you. They help you with the with what? What you're looking for in terms of your your job posting so that you can attract the right people? They really go above and beyond to get a quality product out. Make sure you're getting good people and go check him out ZipRecruiter dot com slash Stapleton. You know, we got this Blasios thing. I think we covered the the school. Is there anything else I've missed on the school stuff that we ought to that. We ought to make him point of because the the Blasi thing we'll take a longer than the last fifteen minutes. We've got here. What is there anything? We haven't really touched on with that. I feel like I've been really fair, I think so right. I mean, the only thing I might add just be that in a lot of cases, the the teachers are crappy teachers, but then at the same time they're also being put in crappy situations with, you know, the teacher student ratio isn't great. And they're their infrastructure isn't great. So they do have a point that things about their current working situation. Could be improved. But those are things that they're not just going to strong arm the government into fixing. And those those things that are bad like the this class sizes and everything those are those aren't a bug about government schools are feature. Yeah. That's that's that's the nature of the beast. Well, it I would make a couple of points on that is is number one. So let's say that there is a the class size teacher is is too great. There's too many kids for every teacher, for example, the last school that Amy was at before she moved up to Washington for years ago. The one teacher there had thirty five fifth graders. That's really hard. So let's say let's hire another teacher tired of the fifth grade teacher. Right. And in order to do that teacher a is going to have to take fifteen percent pay-cut but class size is going to be reduced in half. She's gonna have much the quality of the education. She's going to be able to deliver will be far superior than it was before. And isn't it all about the kids? I mean, shouldn't you want that as a teacher to you know, to to have a better? Education system for your kids. And yet means you make a little bit less. But I mean, just think of all the kids you're gonna help it really is about the children. And of course, that would be a gigantic no-go if that ever happened. But the biggest problem I think in schools today because there are good teachers there's a lot of problems inside the system, but there's a lot of problems in the home to one of the biggest problems with poor performing kids is low expectations at home. We caught all these kids. Now, we don't expect them to perform we don't we don't lay down speculation that no you will. Excel you mediocrity is not acceptable. Listen, if your kids, you know, if your kids a C student and he's working his butt off. And all he can get sees good on him. He's a C student, and he's busting his tail to produce sees that's what you should expect out of your kids. You should expect exceptionalism from them. You should see that. You should see them working as though they expect it from themselves. We've lost. That a lot. I mean, I just can't count. How many times I've had this conversation with people people don't know how to get their kids off the video games are off the television. It's like it's real simply to shut it off. Well, how am I going to do? It's like dude your kids run your house. They run your life. How can you allow that to happen that this is not something that anybody should ever have to should ever be worried about is like, listen, you should demand from your kids exceptionalism with the things that they do, and you should make sure that they're that they're performing and unfortunately because teachers don't have the support of parents at home. They're unable to do what they need to do. And our entire conception of education is is pretty flawed the entire entire structure of graded education was based on the Austrian method or something like that from the seventeen eighteen hundreds that was explicitly designed to create factory drones.
