Pfizer vaccine more than 90% effective against symptomatic COVID
"Pretty good news from israel about the pfizer vaccine couple of things came out today. The pfizer vaccine has been shown to be very effective against the uk variant. Remember all the scares about the variants more than eighty percent of israel's covid nineteen cases are from the uk variant and that country has put. Its real statistics. That's what they call real world data because they've been giving people as you know on a per capita basis. Israel's like tops in the world for vaccinating people you heard biden say the us is given out more vaccines and everybody but we're talking about a percentage of population. That's another misleading statistics. Newsom tries to pull that one to write the pfizer vaccine. There's so far. Ninety four percent effective at present preventing what they call a symptomatic spread. People who don't even know there can page so if you have the pfizer vaccine and you manage to get covid in your nostrils. The vaccine is ninety four percent effective at. You're not spreading that vice to somebody else right. That's that's why. I'm saying if you have the vaccine. It doesn't matter the size of the crowd. You can have twenty thousand people staple center. Everyone who comes in shows their vaccination certificate. You get in because no one's going to spread. Nobody's going to be spreading anything. This is a good time to play this audio. Because he did mention the beloved. Dr fauci dr fauci was on cnn yesterday. And even the cnn host was like wait a minute why can't people have been vaccinated traveled because they've been still arguing and arguing mending that even if you're fully vaccinated you don't travel right now. Let's hear how he explained this. Cut one the. Cdc is carefully heading in that direction of you know when we when when dr end ski made the announcement a day or two ago about the fact that when you have a couple of people to three more people in a family setting both of whom vaccinated even if it's someone from another friend that doesn't have to be a member of the family. That was the first in a multi step process that they are going to be rolling out there being careful understandably they wanna get science that want to data and then when you don't have the data and you don't have the actual evidence then you've got to make a judgment call and i think that's what you're going to be seeing in the next week. She she little by little more and more guidelines. Getting people to be more flexible. The first installation of this is what can vaccinated people do in the home setting. Obviously the never gonna be what you're asking now travel about going out getting a haircut. What about doing things like that. Yes that's all known. We're not waiting for you enough for this guy. We're not waiting. I'm not waiting for the government to tell me what freedoms i have. I have them already. He's full of it remember. He's full of it some of the time he told us. Aw don't worry. We don't need masks at the beginning. Well he lied because he didn't want to run on masks. He wanted to save them for the hospital workers. Okay so he tries to quit. He's trying to say there was what i just recounted in this story about the pfizer vaccine and the real world data from israel that it's effective and it stops spread and it stops you from getting sick and it's working. I think he's done a. Cdc is acting like well we want to see real world data on how effective vaccine is before we jump in and just say sure go anywhere. if you're vaccinated be with other vaccinate people you find a masks and you know what he doesn't have an answer to. It doesn't have an answer to. If you're you're in a room with two people why can't you be in it with five or ten or twelve or twenty. There's because you can't that's why it is an answer. That's why it's dead that that that bat saw jabirjabir.

LeBron James calls All-Star game plan in Atlanta 'a slap in the face'
"All right now. Let's talk about the all star game. We talked about this yesterday. That is going to be on march seventh in atlanta but certain people are not happy about it. One of those people is lebron james now he told reporters after the lakers beat the nuggets on thursday night at staples center said. I don't even understand why we're having an all star game. He said i'll be there physically but not mentally and a lot of people. Don't think it's a good idea. He also said it's a slap in the face amidst the pandemic. Now another person who thinks it's a stupid idea is kings guard fox. He was At a press conference. And here's what he had to say about the all star game Only brutally honest. I think it's stupid. I would like to hear more a why why why. Why to all games shouldn't have. And i just wanna know because it doesn't count for anything. Maybe yeah that's when it goes on their record so why do something that doesn't even ren- anything just a good time and money play money. I sponsored they got sponsors. We know that. Los Angeles Lakers get championship rings with empty arena
"Was it like last night being in the staple center so just to kind of play off that. And that's why i was curious to know if you've been to so. This is the first one. I've been to sporting event. I didn't go to the first two. Preseason games added staples center. Did everything from the studio. Postgame finishes start hustling over there there's not a soul outside of stapleton right. So you're just right out the gate you're accustomed to people lined up everywhere even getting into your media credentials gonna take some time get inside staples center. I go to section one. Fifteen is where you know. My credential has me sitting cap it was. There's no reason to under Understate this incredibly weird incredibly weird. I mean When i got in adam. Silver was just grabbing the mike he was. Obviously there would genius. You got all the lakers lined up together. And they're doing a lot of stuff on the jumbotron But it's the just think about this the way you're talking about. It's one thing on tv to have fake fan noise. It's a completely different thing when you see the entire arena right. You're you're looking at all the mtc to know that there's only x. amount of media that are there and then obviously all the players for that type of a moment for for the lakers grabbing their championship ring to championship number. Seventeen which you know is incredibly important to this organization Anthony davis getting his first one. Lebron james getting his fourth all the storylines and there isn't a soul in the crowd. I i'd be lying to say it was incredibly odd. Who's incredibly weird. But this is the circumstances and you know nothing you can really do about it.

I don't know if she wrote it if you would attach to it, but that, but that's what she was promoting that day. And me and my co host. Neither one of us is Hollywood leading man material, So we were like we were lamenting to her. How ugly we were, and she said something very complimentary to me that involved the curse. That I didn't know how to respond to in the moment and stunned me so much that I even forgot to, like, Take the clip and having for perpetuity, so I don't even have the audio to play for you. But I've had to reconfirm this story with Sirius XM people multiple times at CBS, because when I've told that no one believes me, so I've had to get people to verify the story and what she said. But it happens and maybe she no. There's no point for my name. But there was a moment There was a moment where she like, half flirted with me. Did she say I would blank you? Is that the punch, she said. I look like I would be good at that. Was her was her. Get the that out of here. Get the van. You would be good at that. Not yeah. Not Gaming. How hot was Olivia Munn 11 years ago, she said you'd be at that point blank. If there is a picture, I can find the picture. There's a picture of the group of us from from the day that she came in so at that point because she was still newish. The attractive part was she was she was just a regular woman that had to be there was like a 10 and now She's not ugly now. But now there's like there's Hollywood involved. Here are the 2020 Emmy Awards highlights
"So much nowadays traditional Glam, gathering of the EMMYS was shrunk down to a virtual version. This year, the winners had to dial in from their sofas but did to scale down show remove any of the fun while I'm joined by the phone critic Karen Cranach from welcome back Karen. Now, Jimmy Kimmel called this the pandemic. What was it like? You. Don't I was reading about the run up because of course, they had five days of the creative emmys, which was very interesting which covered documentarian sports things like that. We don't really get to see those its role waiting for the television ones television on comedy and they're all saying, oh, it's can be terrible to glitches and there were absolutely no. Glitches at all the writing was sensitive national it probably would have worked alive, and in fact, what they were doing is they were cutting back into the audience of previous years. So at first we thought Kimmel was presented to reluctance of couldn't be, and then of course, we see that it's an empty staple center with cardboard cutouts except one person Jason Bateman. It worked really really well, and as you said, he called the Pan Denny's. You can't have virus without a host modest M.. It. Last year it was host free. So he's making a double point there isn't he? Will he is I mean there is a discussion for all the wards shows that you know do we really need a host to carry through to give a a link King presents between all of the awards and sometimes you need that sometimes you don't, but he's very, very good in this effect was. Nominated himself didn't win but for for this year. So he solid reacted really well, and particularly with Jennifer Aniston was was there in I'm assuming was a prerecorded, extra it live. Where he's burning one of the emmy envelopes to sanitize it, and if the fire gets out of control, she actually does put put. The. Fire. Out on stage. Tell US little bit more than about. Who won who lost how things went? Arguably, this was possibly our final reminder. Some was that it was a blissful reminder of our recent past, but people could still make television in the same room. I think we're we're all I. Think we're we're going to get nostalgic about these virtual awards shows really because they could do so much more with with a with a regular live show somebody sends in a prerecorded or televisual link you feel cheated. Now you feel that you've got more possibility because the people can actually record something or talk to you live. So it Kinda works really well, for example, before I go to the awards there was almost apprentice reunion lease a Jennifer Aniston Courtney Cox and Lisa kudrow showed up altogether and Jimmy Kimmel's going what are you doing together and he goes she goes well, we've Jennifer says. We've been living together since nineteen ninety four. It was just a lovely surprised wouldn't have been able to happen in real life. So it was great now. watchmen with the big re reimagined science fiction. Series was for twenty six nominations at one eleven including UN series. Star. Regina. King and also best limited series which is amazing and that helped push the HBO show to Thirty Wins in total, which is very important and also Shits Creek, of course, we have to put little tm on there because it's spelled S. C. H. W. T. s. did a sweep a to record for comedy shows of nine wins and it was yeah it's it's incredible. It's last is the final. Season for that show and it was wonderful to see all of our beloved. Canadian actors. That was a hugely hugely popular series it turned up on flicks. But it didn't start with nets, which is weird. Yes it has found that second life. Elsa Bell Rutland. Well, it was really pop TV and it just it got a cult following because. I mean, these I've been watching Catherine O'Hara Levy since the seventies I mean they were at second city which the rivals Saturday night live we've seen them in American pie everywhere. These are very, very good season actors and writers and the fact that they show up with this unique show on pop TV it just goes to show you that if something's good against audience people will see

"There's accountability for the officers involved it can't just be a situation. You throw money at. Jalen Brown sang some really important words today about this idea of reform in how reform actually means dismantle or recreate and. This has been a theme throughout the bubble players making their voices heard about these issues obviously, the flash point a moment coming when the bucks a decided to forfeit their game which led to. kind of a mass strike that day about other Jacob shooting in Kenosha Guinea I know that you cover these issues a little bit more closely than I do on your podcast. I'm curious I know that you had some thoughts basically about a the players activism in the bubble and specifically the protest. Yeah, first of all on Jalen Brown I would love to see him be like a panelist on basically any cable news show because I feel like that dude really gets it and I'm not saying that like other players don't get it. But like his understanding and expression of the issues is always like pretty astounding to me I'm like this. This is making a lot of sense in like. Also like on philosophical to but. Yeah I mean my thought, it's hard to think about like. What could have been? And to. Expect any more from players that are going through. A lot of different overlapping things right the the isolation of this experience. The fact that this is a league that is dominated by black athletes who are having to live as black men in America but the thing that. I thought about over the last couple of days what would have happened had this strike continued know like it if we imagine a world in which they came to a decision. To continue to not play as these issues. Played Out in our society as we, we see these things develop you know every day essentially, what would what would that have looked like What else could they have possibly gotten from the NBA or or secured in terms of commitments from owners for anything like that, and that's not to belittle anything that they have done because I think it's incredible accomplishments to the point that you're making the fact that. After every single game, there is still some sort of visible presence of, Hey, remember that these things are going on outside of what we're doing here. I think tremendous in unprecedented for sure I mean that's always going to be a little bit of the great unknown. What can the players have gotten if they tried to strike for longer? And I think there were a lot of raw emotions that day when the bucks decided to or fit I think. I almost looked at as a mental health ray. How can we play basketball game at preceding this happened? Not far from where we play..

"Your offense isn't the same in the playoffs as it is during the regular season And Yeah I mean I think that like? You know Denver seem to. They obviously have like incredibly talented players but. The thing that's interesting to me at least. I didn't know that Murray was really capable of this. I mean, even after the jazz series were getting like fifty, every other night I didn't know that he was really capable in those enormous moments to have. Some of the most important stretches of of games but yeah, I mean they genuinely sorted. Didn't have the kind of like vice around them. That was like championship bus. They didn't have a situation where they had brought in you know the. Peak talent in the League to try to get them to that championship or bus. So I feel like that really just takes the pressure off and like. You know those dues had fun they working them too. So I just WANNA put a bow on the clippers conversation fiscus right there's all this fatalism like these guys can be free agents in one year. What's GONNA. Happen Doc rivers. This is a massive upset. Where do they go from here? Right? That's the question ever want to answer. Where do they go from here? Here's what I'll say here's my opinion. Even. The best teams lose okay. The seventy three win warriors lost in the NBA finals. They blew a three one lead. The Miami Heat signed Lebron, James and Chris Bosh to pair with Dwayne Wade. They blew a a not a blue they were were close to going up to. The twenty eleven finals, they lost their up to one. They lost three straight. It's not always easy to win in that first year you know no matter the circumstances. and. What I would say is it's good for teams to lose. Sometimes you know Pat Riley gave this incredible. Maybe. Damaging press conference. After the heat lost the Spurs in two thousand fourteen in Lebron leaving that summer. But you know he talked a lot about guts and what it means. The loss he went through, for example, when he was the head coach of the Lakers in the eighties. If I'm Paul George. Free agencies there you you want this team you want it to be in La will then use this loss as motivation to make it work. I think that's what the great players do. Great teams do Lebron hasn't won in the finals every year. You know I think that this could be a galvanizing moment for the clippers as an organization I WANNA. Now move on to something else it's been a story line in this bubble of from day one of the restart A. Yesterday I guess I should say Tuesday rather the city of Louisville announced that it will pay the family of round Taylor twelve million dollars to settle a wrongful death lawsuit the family at filed against the city. A Taylor was killed. By police officers who entered our home. With a no knock warrant while she was sleeping it's something to be players have been discussing almost every single day in the bubble a just for example, after game one of the Eastern Conference finals. Jason. TATUM was wearing a shirt about arresting the cops who killed Brianna Taylor. Lebron James is worn a hat in the wake of the settlement Eric express that he still hopes..

"And there was always just like. Kawhi make shots for George make shots in that just didn't happen. For sure and I saw firsthand how many times during the regular season the clippers put a game away because in the second quarter I said, I'm just going to score twelve straight points or in the fourth quarter he said I'm GonNa Score Ten straight points and shut down your best player that just couldn't happen in the series of Denver too many offensive operations in its own great offense appearing. In Yokich Murray that it's not as simple as Kawhi being able to take over by himself as far as Paul George Goes. I. Mean before he hurt his shoulder lassie's in Oklahoma City he was in the MVP conversation it is very best. That's the kind of player. He is a two way for someone who can average almost thirty points. A game is playoff resume is starting to get more and more dispiriting the further you go. Again he someone who openly talked about how much he struggled with his mental health in the bubble. Unfortunately, his job was to perform I. DON'T WANNA get on him too much for that but. It was obviously a struggle for him. There were times. He just didn't look confident in that fourth quarter I think what the clippers collapse or defeat or whatever you WANNA call it showed is. And I don't know that the Lakers necessarily have either but just have Lebron James who's kind of seen everything in the NBA There's something teams that have been tested the other teams that have battled together the nuggets, Celtics, and heat. For example, all have guys who've. been through some things together I mean obviously, he'd have a lot of new guys and Jay crowder Andrea Dala. In Jimmy Butler, but they were tested during the regular season, they have other players, Bam and Goran. Who've kind of been there for years institutional knowledge that helps them in these situations. And I just think that the clippers were lacking that in large part because. They never seem to take the regular season that seriously now part of that is because Kawai just might not be healthy to play eighty two games again in his career but it just never felt like they they gave themselves an opportunity to be challenged in. That's important for teams to go through. You're definitely right about like the the the struggles that he had and I think that you know it was it was good that he was openly talking about that because I thought that that was like another undercurrent of being in the bubble dead nobody was really getting at But yeah, like I don't know it's just it's an interesting thing. When you look at some of these teams that sort of Seem to rely on like how they performed in the regular season as just like a prediction of how they would perform in the playoffs without sort of that. Extra understanding of what actually happens in the playoffs and like I think a similar. Thing went on with the honest and the bucks in a way where it was like. It didn't seem to me that there was a definitive answer to like what happens when..

But let's start right now with what I'm I'm calling panic at the staple center. The clippers eliminated in the second round series at the hands of the Denver Nuggets. and. I think the clippers futures is a tiny bit in question here you know what's going to happen Doc Rivers Coin Paul George Free agents in one year you know we started to talk about that a little bit after game seven. I want start here with the clips because. I was at Staples Center, a lot throughout the season, and while the clippers at their best were very impressive team there were always a very good team. The function of having guys combined Paul George. Never felt compelling. They never felt fun and I know you watch a lot of hoops just as much as any writer I'm curious as you were watching the clippers this season did they ever feel fun to you like what? What was the vibe you got from that team?.

"Mayor Garcetti said today on Good Morning America that he will not open the city of Los Angeles until there's a cure for the Chinese corona virus then they're never going to open up so Hey I guess LA as we know it is closed forever is this not insanity let's not pretend that Los Angeles isn't a huge tourist Mecca either Santa Monica pier Universal Studios okay you've got well Anaheim pretty much in the OC but but you get my point there did you know southern California LA major tourist staples center who are the you know the Lakers play I mean there are generally hills there is a huge entertainment Mecca there too and a huge tourist Mecca and he just basically said until there's a cure he is a vaccine until there's a sure the city's not opening up my god my

I was talking about you and I said I feel like Maya. I feel that I am in many ways like you as Maya was to me because I have such admiration and respect for you and Just deep love for you and feeling that allows me to know how am I actually felt about me so I feel that way about U. S? How Start Right there? The healthy start but also said I am your mother sister friend. I feel like your mother sister friend. Yeah me too. That thing it's there's a beautiful embodiment of so many type of relationships that I think that we have and it's fair. You normally have those type of relationships with many people I find I don't so I really appreciate those different levels. Yeah yeah connection. Yea I've only felt that with one another with you able do rene who I feel like. Wow this mother's sister connection and it's so interesting because all the years that I had Maya as a mentor. Friend MOTHER SISTER FRIEND I. I couldn't really grasp it. You know I couldn't really grasp it so I get to grasp it through people like yourself and people like Abe so as an aching good to see you good to see good either that there'd be singing. I'm glad to be together with you. And in this moment I think have happy Sunday. Happy Sunday. Happy Super Soul Sunday at so. So how's your family doing? How are you all doing all clustered family as did you know? We're we're good. We're healthy and and we're feeling well. My youngest genesis is a homebody anyway. So it's only so much to get him out the house anyways he couldn't be happier and the older the older ones are definitely you know missing their friends and and asking what's coming on. How are they going to be going on? But I think that we're doing some good things that I like to try to have. Some type of routine has happened after them to look forward to it. But we're doing well and we are. We're keeping spirits high. What are you all doing? Are you playing games? And how many kids are in the house? I know Genesis and and and and Dr there but are the other big kids there to Denison Egypt Genesis Egypt Air in the house. So that's thirteen nine and I'm five. Wow Are you playing games? Are you getting out for little walks? What are you doing? I'm doing good walks and bike rides and come scooter. Rides and stuff like that in our in behind them and and we're doing monopoly omens the endless games of endless nights with monopoly. I'm getting beat real bad. I don't know why I can't seem to win. Monopoly is making me a little frustrated. But we're getting there. We're doing books reading every day. You know that for a certain amount of time working out doing sit ups. Even Genesis is trying to get a six pack pop in. Do you feel more connected or getting a little. Stir crazy me what. I'm what I'm finding that I don't feel like I have any time personally. I know that sounds so weird because we're all talking about how not doing as much as how we normally do in that kind of thing but I'm finding that obviously with the kids home and then with us all together. I don't have the space that maybe I was able to carve out of the space. That's a little bit. You know what of nowhere to show? I think this is especially hard on mothers. Moms shoutout to all the MOMS out there. Because I've said my whole career that it's the toughest and most important of all the jobs on the planet and now MOMS have to be. The teacher had to be the principal. The Cafeteria Lady there the gym teacher and school nurse all at the same time. I heard that Egypt said you were mean teachers at your box. You being mean to being means you. You have to do this particular thing you gotta do eat. So let's do it but you know that that balance between being strong enough to make sure that this thing on track and staying connected to what they needed to do. Because it's hard to self start to actually have to sell start yourself a complete a project without social element. It's really really hard so he did. I think he was just a little frustrated. I'm how but I mean yeah and you know so so well I believe a crisis comes to teach us something and this is a crisis for sure on every level your husband posted on instagram. That this is the best time to get your mind your body and your soul strong tune into to yourself and pull out the best ever. That's what I think Swiss posted. What is what. What have you learned about yourselves and each other during this time? I think we are seeing that. Were very good together. We do have a good flow together which I think could become quite difficult neck. You and you're kind of always together always in close quarters. Sometimes you can maybe all the things that you haven't quite worked through amount. I find that we're we're actually quite good together. We have a balance. There's something about the age of the kids that's added simply because at a certain time that was tricky to you. Know with an age difference sometimes is creates just right on so that's one thing. I'm happy for that. We have a good connection there I think that we're definitely feeling a lot. I think the gratitude for the little things from you and I was just saying you know. The planet needs a little break too and needs to regenerate and rejuvenate needs us. All the kind of you know do that as well. So we've been saying and I love this but that you you been saying this that encouraging people to keep their frequency high us. Yes he say hi. Yes because I think it's it's very disconcerting. Obviously it's it's troubling. It's scary. I'm sure about of US. Know people who are sick or ill or or having difficulties and you know you want your family to be safe and many of us are not with our families because we're in different locations and so you just feel very uncomfortable and you feel out of control and a lot of ways and I think the normality of our everyday life really helps with the schedules and things. It really actually helps keeps pounding. So you don't have that. I was even thinking how many people united sometimes you're not even getting dressed because you're like well I'll have to get dressed so I'm just gonNA show which feels good but then after a while you messes with your head. You know what is interesting? I was just thinking about this morning. Is that all the things that we use to show our status and create our value in the world. You know all the material things. All of that level don't mean nothing right now. Meaningless slippers slip. I'm doing to change pajamas honey. I'm doing good just a okay. I want to talk about the grammys. This year's grammys in particular. I was I I remember watching and literally. I promise you my mouth was open. I had to say. Close Your Mouth Oprah wow you I mean it makes my eyes water a little bit now just thinking about how beautifully you stepped into one of the hardest moments of our time and you took control and you mastered it and there was such strength and love and control coming from you on a stage in front of millions of people. I remember Texan you afterwards and I thought well nothing I can say to express what I know that took to do that and I was thinking as a person who's been a communicator. My entire life what would I have done would have been able to handle it as well as you. I don't think anybody anybody could have done a better job than you did with that. Grammy's thank you. Thank you so much it was. Did you do that? You will trade up you must apprai- just of Oh yes. A lot of a lot of meditation. I read hard and I wanted to make sure he honored it properly also acknowledged properly because it was out with ours ours it is warning it was that morning. People were still in shock. We were all still in shock. People were outside the staple center. Like I don't care about the grammys what I just lost my hero. Yeah in that building that he played in. I mean it was. Wow

Sports on Hiatus - The Economic Fallout
"Where were you when you found out that the NBA was going on hiatus? And how did you feel? I was at work at the Kings game. It was around. Maybe nine ish when I heard about the NBA and it was actually a little devastating. Because I knew we would be out of work and if the NBA cancelled it would only be a trickle effect down to the rest of the major sports. How will not working for an extended period of time affect you personally? I mean it's GonNa Affect me a lot That's my only source of income. I don't know what's going to happen tomorrow. Where do you do you know? What do you do when something like this happened? This has never happened to us before. So it's hard to say I mean we don't know what the outcome's GonNa be with how long this is. GonNa be but I trust in my union and I trust and the company that I worked for that. They're going to work something out for on Wednesday night mark. Cuban is the owner of the Dallas Mavericks said he was trying to set up a program to help arena workers throughout this suspension. Are you hopeful that something similar might happen in Los Angeles yes? I'm very hopeful that that will happen. And I think that he's a classy owner for even saying that for even thinking about the workers you know nobody really thinks about the people that do all the behind the scenes to make everything run smoothly on any given event. It's about five thousand workers. Five to six thousand people working. We have security. We HAVE TICKET TAKERS. Cook Surburb Bartenders cashiers? Supervisor's what are you hearing from your other Co Workers? They're asking me about their health because I'm a shop steward for the Union. So they're asking me about their health insurance. Are they going to have health insurance in the timeframe that we're not working and I don't have those answers yet you know they're still working those things out so I'm not sure? How did you first start working at the staple center in the first place? A friend of mine told me that staple center with having a job fair and when I got there it was like so many people maybe about two or three thousand people there. I was thinking to myself. It's so many people here. There's no way I might get this job but I got hired here. I am fifteen years later. Do you like working there. I love working at Staples Center. It's the best job to be. It's a great atmosphere. I've met so many different people from so many different walks of life to laugh with those people. We've even cried at the Kobe. Memorial cried when the tragic incident with Kobe happened. Been happy with these people rejoiced with these people. I mean it's the greatest environment to be in in my opinion. What would you say to the NBA? Or I guess ask of the NBA as it attempts to navigate this crisis. I that a ensure that everyone is safe and to not just think about the money that they make that they also think about people that are out of work people. That don't have insurance doesn't matter if you're rich or you don't have money. People are people. So that's what I would say. Adelaide is one of many there are thousands of workers across America working at sports venues. Arenas and these folks are going to see their income hurt in the short term. Because they're not going to be able to work these events. That's Patrick Rish Director of the Sports Business Program at the Olin Business School at Washington University in St. Louis Patrick at this point. We don't know how many people in that includes athletes are going to have their health affected by this outbreak. But we know that event like this as a way of exposing to everyone the size and scope of an industry in its economic impact. There are many layers to that that I want to get into but I as pretty much all of sports goes on hiatus. How big is this industry in America? What mean it's pretty sizable. You talk about. The sports is one of the twenty largest industries in America. A billion dollar industry the service workers as we mentioned are really impacted in the short term and it does depend on whether these leagues are simply suspended or whether games are cancelled because it suspended and the Games are made up later in the summer. Then there's not as much of a hit but if there's a cancellation if this burns. Two months in the league's can't squeeze in their completion of their season by the end of the summer. Then you're gonNA find a real hit financially. These service workers on Wednesday night news broke that Utah. Jazz Senate rubare tested positive for the krona virus. Which stopped that game. It sort of kicked off a chain reaction around the NBA. That ultimately leads the League hitting pause at the same time. Mark Cuban the owner of the Dallas Mavericks was interviewed at his own game and talked about the workers about the old. Now that we're not playing games. What about all the people who work here analogy basis? You know we put. We'll put together a program for them but you so many things go through your head right. It's hard to know exactly. How vulnerable are these workers if something like this was to persist for a long period of time? They're very vulnerable because many of them working in this profession they don't necessarily have college degrees a lot of them. I can speak in. Saint Louis and I know this is true in other markets if somebody is bender expert medium for baseball game. They're going to be a vendor at the Enterprise Centre for Blues Game so where these folks again. Many of them be surprised if their annual incomes or any hired say maybe twenties to mid thirty thousand dollars a year so it's really very susceptible of course the lodging in the restaurant industry in these markets. They're hurt too. Certainly I again here in Saint Louis. We were supposed to host first second round the championships. That's not going to be here this year because of what's happened so certainly the hotels take a hit. A restaurant take a hit. In addition hearing from Cuban we also found out that Cavaliers Star Kevin love as planning to commit a hundred thousand dollars to help arena workers and support staff Patrick aside from personal generosity what can the NBA in its owners. Do to help these workers I think one thing they can do is in these communities they can use their own. Hr STABS with their teams to try to help them. Connect with temp agencies or other forms of means trying to find at least temporary employment opportunities to find work but just as the sports industry is getting hit with. What's going on here? This is widespread. There are several industries right now that feels somewhat frozen. There's a fear. Obviously that's on a mock nationally so this does have an impact on not just the sportsman the other businesses. So even if Mark Cuban or lake up or any of the other owners were to try to use their. Hr STABS to help their staff by physicians locally. That may be challenging right now right. You mentioned the cottage industry around Sports. The impact potentially on hotels and restaurants tourism. But normally you know win. There aren't sports other tourism steps in however I imagine everything is going to be impacted by this so it all just compounds no question in particular March madness and all the other. Ncaa's championships you know the big difference between the MTA championship bands. Whether it's basketball hockey wrestling is that these pods and regionals and final fours. Losing fours and the like a large percentage of the visitors are coming from outside of the community. You can't say that for the NBA in the NHL. Most of those games five or ten percent of the fans are coming from outside of the market so the hotels the restaurants really impacted but then how these other industries Meena instance thing. I'll just kinda bring it locally here since we're being impacted by this now. The local sports commission busted their tail to put a bid for this event and bring the event the Saint Louis all that time and effort that they put in. They don't see any of a commission on the back end. How about all the event production stabs and the sound and lighting engineers? And then. Of course you've got people like Uber and lift or people that operate. A A buddy that operates a video bending machine business here. So if people aren't coming then they're not going to restaurants. They're not playing his touch. Screeners Golden

"The staples center and John we appreciate a few minutes first of all from what you can garner would we know Kemba Walker is out today how concerned are the Celtics about his health at this point I don't think it's that big a deal I'm sure if this was a must game a playoff game that he'd be out there ready to go just you know load management like we see time and time again throughout the NBA so I don't think there's any big concern for Kemba Walker as we move forward that's certainly the a term of the NBA in the two thousand twenty era so I wanted to ask you we know the Celtics Lakers rivalry was historic in the eighties it's never quite felt the same other than short bursts since that time so do you think John that the two thousand twenty version of these two teams could renew that rivalry for as the first match up between these two this season it didn't do that yeah I sure hope you know obviously the eighties for me of being my age was the greatest thing ever I mean I think the greatest rivalry in sports was the Celtics Lakers and it's it seems to get that big feeling again as I walk into the staples center today to see bill Russell here I just saw Kevin Garnett walk in I'm sure it'll be some other former Lakers will Michael Thompson sitting to my left right here so there's a lot of Laker greats it'll probably be here as well obviously with Kobe's memorial tomorrow a service here staples is gonna be a lot of luminaries here I'm sure but you know those finals in oh eight oh nine whatever they were eight ten they had a great field to I remember being here for game seven between the Celtics Lakers and there's not much better than that then a game seven between these two historic TSB enemy ello NBA analyst John Barry whether you want to call the Celtics Lakers later this afternoon what matchup intrigues you the most here today well any time you have lebron James and these wings for the Boston Celtics you know gore Hey Richard guy to me that's really been overlooked for this Celtic team obviously you want to talk about Jayson Tatum Kemba Walker the two all stars but Gordon Hayward's got his form back we remember the horrific injury obviously but before in Utah for a couple years this guy was an all star player a twenty four point score either eighteen points per game just because you're not gonna have three guys average over twenty that just doesn't happen in the NBA but he's shooting the ball a terrific almost forty percent from the three point line and he's a difference maker to may so you know those three guys Jaylen brown Tatum and Hayward all going up against lebron James and I think we'll see a very hungry Laker team after getting a hundred thirty nine put on a losing by thirty to their worst loss of the season I imagine we see a very spirited Laker group here this afternoon now I know in the Davis is dealing with a bruised calf I I hear that he's expected to go anyway so I'm curious to know if you think it's going to slow him down at all and then also John AZ Anthony Davis allowing lebron to age gracefully or is the bronze is not a actually hitting that age decline yet like we thought maybe he was yeah I think a deal be fine at what he did was just a bruise it happen in the first half of the Memphis came he came back and had a incredible second half of the kia twenty four in the second half I it's seven blocks in that game a look like a defensive of the player of the year candidate so they'll be no problem for Anthony this afternoon and yeah I I think it's a great luxury of for lebron that Anthony Davis is a guy they can go to a late in ballgames and and maybe a little less stress for lebron James but man he looks rejuvenated obviously didn't play in the playoffs last year I missed the last twenty or so ball game so he had extended period time off that he hasn't had a lot of years and it shows because the energies there are spying on both ends of the floor of the floor leading the league in assists at the age of thirty five would be the oldest since the NBA's ever had he's been he's had a credible year but after the Davis obviously play with a guy like that makes the game a lot easier John very ESPN NBA analyst has the Lakers and Celtics this afternoon here on ESPN radio couple of other things around the league the other occupants of the staples center haven't played particularly well lately what do you make of the clippers at the moment well I would venture to say that they haven't had over five practices as a full team and I know they haven't had five games with their full complement of so that that's a big deal I think if you just put the teams on paper I would pick the clippers I would take that roster but again with all the things that have gone on the injuries Paul George with the load management with Kawhi Leonard Beverly's missed time you add Marcus Morris now you add Reggie Jackson it's a team that they're gonna need three two to three weeks at least by the end of the season to get some camaraderie to get some familiarity with each other as they move in the playoff you can't just stick a bunch of guys on the on the court without practice time without game time and think that you're going to run through the Western Conference and get to an NBA championship so health is going to be big like I said those last couple weeks we need to see this clipper team in full if they're gonna make a run the playoffs sticking with some of the other story lines around the NBA Steph curry he's eyeing reportedly a March first return if you were the warriors would you bother bringing curry back well I don't know that it's up to the workers I I saw stuff amount of attendant days ago two weeks ago and I said you coming back he goes yeah I'm bored okay well if that's if you're bored you you've got to go play go play I don't know that is that big of a deal of obviously they don't really need to win at this point of the better the draft pick the better the opportunity they have either make a trade or get a better player obviously but yeah he just said he's bored he wants to play he loves to play and I don't think it's going to be a much heavy lifting because this team regardless of the SDF career not a not gonna win a lot of ball games John there's been a lot of concern around the Sixers this year and now Ben Simmons aggravated this back injury he suffered earlier in the week there seems to be according to Welch real concern on their part that would that in essence really do in the Sixers in the east for this year no question if Ben Simmons as a player they have no chance I would say even if he does play and they start on the road they have no chance at have you seen them on the road lately it's it's unbelievable to have this discrepancy I believe they have the best record at home they've only lost twice at home and I think there may be nine and twenty on the road at this point it's really odd to me I don't understand it I think if you look at something like that that's got to be a leadership thing because there's no way you can have a team be that dominant at home and be that poor on the road so Ben Simmons gone yeah that that team I don't believe it's out of the first round they're going to be either the for five or six seed I would gas and I don't see him getting by a first round series without Ben Simmons John we appreciate the time very much have a great call this afternoon Caskey Celtics Lakers at the staples center three o'clock coverage begins thanks again okay thank you John berry ESPN NBA analyst and get a lot more coming up here in relation to this whole situation with the Sixers with Jo Ellan beat it with Ben Simmons and where that's all going to play out because in the Eastern Conference it's been all about Yanis all season long but last night when you lose Ben Simmons in a game like that that early it is a red flag to where they are headed but Jo Ellan beat have the interesting quote this week we'll get into that in just moments it is very date right here with Chris Carlin and amber Wilson on ESPN radio and ESPN app the end for the.

Biden thing I got to get to the point where I'm comfortable so what does this mean for you this weekend is your Biden friend on you every day and he's not the only one feeling the pressure thirty year old Adriana Taylor says she's overwhelmed this is the first time where I've kind of wanted to step away look at everyone and then come back into it do you plan on caucusing this weekend absolutely not so you're going to sit out the primary race in general and hop back in it in the general election yes we wanted to know how the political landscape is change for these voters under president trump how they see his term through the lens of faith and it doesn't take long and our discussion for things to swing around to the question of abortion for decades the church's anti abortion stances looms large for American Catholics in our group this is reflected by fifty four year old Steven Monson he says he feels driven away by Democrats support for abortion rights and he has high praise for president trump's actions on the issue this is what's so hard because even if someone didn't support the man in the White House they've been real concrete changes that have protected more of the unborn and whether it's reducing the funding to Planned Parenthood the title ten funds the Supreme Court placements that are gonna be petrol yeah it's been amazing because I'm conflicted because there are things that I can't abide in can't tolerate about leadership but then to watch somebody make a promise like has been done for decades and yet in this crime Kerry through Adriana teller doesn't see it the same way she's a Democrat works in a public school she's African American and has more moderate views when someone who's had two miscarriages the common talking point is that women going to these clinics and they have abortions but what's not talked about is when these women going to these clinics and find out that there's a chance that their babies not gonna make it I haven't experienced this myself and some of those times you have to do unfortunately what you have to do it and that's where I'm conflicted because yes my faith says that abortion is murder but no circumstances where am I supposed to be am I supposed to live my life because of what science is saying we have got have dictated my situation what is my choice and I think that's where the younger Catholic voters like me fail we're kind of stuck in the middle our voice is not really being heard on this and in this part of the country abortion isn't the only divisive issue when it comes to trump says Francisco apple R. as somebody's grown up in a Mexican family in a border town and feel the way we feel in this community even though we're fighting every day to make it better this president hasn't done that for us it sounds like you're alluding to the issue of immigration absolutely and president trump's policies there how do you see them how has he handled this I think without truly understanding the issue truly miss reading what it means to live in the southwest and what are the priorities for us if you look at Las Vegas Strip there are billions of billions of dollars made on that strip every day those billions of dollars would not be made if it weren't for the amount of immigrant labor that makes those operations run how else are you guys hearing this how do you feel like these policies have affected your community in the last few years this is our brand working in the education community I see a lot of hostility between different races of students one thing that's really heartbreaking to me is that the past couple of years we have had to make children feel like their value to make them understand that their culture is not less than because of what they're seeing in the media because of what they're hearing the president is not showing these things he's surprising on a Christian platform but the way he's expressing his ideas are not Christian right does this mean that you are experiencing kids bullying each other using language from the president some of it yes sometimes they use terms that he uses because that's how kids are they model what they see the nation's political polarization it's hard lean into partisanship it's reflected in the election data when it comes to Catholic voters in even in conversations within the community says fifty eight year old Julie o'shea Grosso he's a longtime member of the progressive Catholic worker movement you know what the Catholic worker we have a soup kitchen and we have Catholic volunteers coming to the soup kitchen and they are my extended family but there is a diverse group of perspectives in terms of politics for me it has been stretching in terms of trying to have discourse with them you said that so carefully stretching beyond the discourse what does that really mean what I feel like it means is that I have to listen more intently I have to try to find other ways to connect with someone that I feel differently about things and I have to try to see the truth because they're all like really beautiful good people that come and want to do good things and so we have an opportunity to see that and not demonise them because they don't agree with me how hard is that been it's been difficult but it is also been enriching this is Steven Monson for Julie saying is an experience for a lot of us Catholics and I know for example I'm part of a large Catholic fraternal charitable organization and many of them are gonna fall on the conservative side for a lot of us it feels like we've been pushed that way many Catholics of course were historically Democrats and it was a party of of labor and and the worker and it just feels for me the party left me this is I. Breanna I am actually a registered Democrat I can understand where he's coming from because there's times when I have for but the Democratic Party has not only left me behind as a Catholic voter but also as a minority voter as well that me being more of a moderate I feel like traditionally in both parties have left the people behind because people are so focused on their own personal agendas that they've forgotten how to be kind which is definitely a Catholic virtues before we left the group goes Steven Monson looks beyond the caucus be on the general election even to the truth that for Catholics he says remains constant no matter how the presidential race goes we're compelled by our faith to defend the defenseless and the and the marginalized we still get to do all those things regardless of who's in an office we still get to feed the poor we still get to shelter the homeless we still get a welcome the immigrant and yeah there's gonna be some policies that we need to make real decisions about who makes the decisions I want people elected who let me do those things that I'm called to do by my faith for Catholic voters in Las Vegas Steven Alonso and Julie Ocho Grosso Francisco Aguilar and Brianna Taylor talking about faith in politics and tomorrow the vada Democrats hold their presidential caucus this is NPR news Santa Monica college invites you to a free screening and discussion with the justice reform advocates from the HBO documentary true justice.

"Continues in the Senate the president's defense team has been presenting arguments against removal from office but also against impeachment in General Pam Bondi former Attorney General for the for the state of Florida has just taken the podium and is beginning her portion of all of this Susan Collins Mitt Romney a couple of a couple of other more moderate Republican senators have suggested that they would be opening to calling with would be open to calling witnesses that is specially after revelation that John Bolton former national security adviser says the president told him he wanted to withhold hundreds of millions of dollars and security aid until Ukraine promised to help them with investigations into Democrats we have course and for the last twenty four hours twenty seven hours or so been covering the the death of Kobe Bryant along with eight other people in a helicopter crash in Calabasas yesterday and while Abel center is going to be forever linked to the Lakers because it's their home and is often called the house that Kobe built they had something else going on last night there that they had the Grammys there were some moments that just gave me chills lives opening up in the night saying of that this was Colby's night and then Alicia keys and boys to men I that was hard to get through chasing Nathan St joins us now for all the coverage Jason you feel the same way yeah I thought that they were going to cry during that because I I backstage there are a lot of Doug peers in people's eyes I think what we were watching that and for them to be able to pull that together boys to men were already in the house because they were part of another performance but for them to be able to do that and get on stage you know and the the news was so fresh at that point and then the camera goes up to his jerseys number eight number twenty four that have been retired in the staples center to have that there knowing the significance of what Kobe Bryant meant to the city and met to staples center and everything it was a it was a very tough moment for sure in it was a real difficult thing to watch the red carpet interviews because I love Robert Cabos six so much but he had to balance the whole you know what are you wearing thing with getting reaction from everybody do are mostly LA centric people about this city's heartbreak yeah music and and basketball courts that so closely tied will be new so many of the people there and that the people in there absolutely they knew him in well I wasn't on the red carpet I was outside staples center where in the LA live courtyard that's where everybody had gathered because of course you couldn't get to staples center because it did was all blocked off for the Grammys but right outside now they live you were you know when it when I showed up there were already hundreds of people gathered there spontaneously chanting Colby and M. B. P. thank you Kobe and his image in black and white was on all the screens there saying you know a in memory of him in nineteen seventy eight to twenty twenty and the people that I talked to were just you know they were they were devastated and they didn't know where to go you know some people want to Calabasas of course and and check out the scene there and left candles and teddy bears and things like that but staples center is probably the the first stop for people who wanted to go in on him because you know when there was a championship bouts were everywhere you go and they would go down there and so but that whole area with thousands of people screaming and and chanting and and all excited and I was as I was looking outside at staples center there and they have the statues for for magic in them stand Kareem Abdul Jabbar and of course shack it bit a huge you know taking use that the ease of bombs Vic they kind of stable center there slam dunking a ball into a net and you kind of wonder well where's Kobe statue will you know he only retired a couple years ago but I'm sure they're fast tracking that now and there will be a statue for him outside staples understand they have announced that he will be inducted into the hall of fame with the twenty twenty class of Tim Duncan Kevin Garnett so that's possible well the the Grammys themselves I mean outside of the the connection like you're referring to with Kobe Bryant with staples center Billy eyeless made history yesterday yes she did she won the the big four as they call them song of the year record of the year album of the year and best new artist which hadn't been done since I think nineteen eighty one and he's also the youngest ever winner of album of the year at eighteen years old she was nominated when she was seventeen and the the previous best the the previous youngest winner of that was Taylor swift when she was twenty so I mean just the absolutely huge night for her ratings what is not so much we just got the ratings in and they were down six percent from last year which I'm a little surprised that because I would have thought with everything happening with Kobe that was the the first place in the one place that we were all as a country able to to name a B. C. some kind of remembrance of him so I thought people that would do that people would tune in for that but they're down six percent from last year to eighteen point seven million viewers which is still the best non sports event of the year so far beat the golden globes but in the key demo of eighteen to forty nine year old it's the lowest rating ever for the for the Grammys so little bit of a surprise there I wonder if anything had to do it if that had anything to do with the controversy that we saw last week leading up to it and the recording you know I don't think so I would think that just I think everyone forgot about that I mean I think it was just all Kobe yesterday and I think if people weren't watching on TV they were probably just on social media I mean it was really hard to not pay attention to all the details that were coming out about what happened you know and only when you look at the ratings of of it being down in the key demo of eighteen to forty nine year olds the lowest ratings ever I think that really does show that the way people watch things and the way people get their news I mean so many people I heard you're now talking about Kobe yesterday was I got the news on my phone yeah you you look at your phone and that's where that's where you get it and that's where people were going for reaction they're going to Twitter they were going into and they're going to social media to find all that so we look at the ratings being the lowest ever that's not really surprising there but the controversies leading up to it with the CEO Deborah Duggan and with L. Smith and everything I thought that would actually increase audience but then when the Kobe news happens of course that changes everything and change the whole tone for everything last night I felt like it was cathartic almost to watch I was gonna watch any of it and then it was on here when I was getting ready to go yesterday as I watched a little bit of it and I saw the boys to men performance acapella and some of the other tributes and it just kind of felt good that that they were at staples center and you know you it is it's it's like a sense of togetherness you know and and and then when I got home I just consumed it on Twitter right and right YouTube and all of that I wasn't gonna sit down for the television which like you said just goes to show how we consume these types of things even when their live events now unless it's a unless the live sports event it's round yeah eight and I will I will actually surprise what like sitting there and watching the whole thing go with the tributes to Kobe in the beginning you know which was I I thought very nice but then I thought that there was a lack of mention of him throughout the rest of the show the couple times is Jersey appeared on stage during couple of performances Liz mentioned in her speech something but other than that there really wasn't much of a mention of of cold beer shout out to him or a or anything like that which I was actually somewhat surprised by Jason thank you appreciate it writer J. senescence in there with the latest again from the Grammys last night in the member rations of Kobe Bryant at least the very beginning of the of the show we come back talk more about what what we know about Kobe's legacies sort of what it is that he'll be remembered for the announcement that he will be inducted in the in the hall of fame coming up later this year and some more about what tomorrow is going to bring because tomorrow is the first Lakers home game since his death and what that could potentially mean for a for people who are going out there Gary and Shannon and Layla Mohammed has the latest a man has been arrested in the decades old killings of five his infant children the case began when an infant's body was found in two thousand seven by a fisherman in northern California the prosecutor overseeing the Jeffrey obscene sex trafficking investigation in New York says prince Andrew has been uncooperative and his lawyers haven't responded to interview requests from the F. at Florida October fifth I would take that now I don't watch it stayed under a regular season wins mine is about but I think they can win more than eight we will be right around a Nebraska didn't the governor told us you're gonna win a national championship under for us under a nap regular season wins plus about fifteen on that day I love all this betting is just fantastic go it says the NFL's most likely worse diverse teams for this year it says the lions have the best chance from worst to first then the Jats then the Jaguars I don't have any faith in them at all like all this hype they always get the Jaguars again I went with them the lines well how long ago was the first player in Rogers and Minnesota self defense in the bears were great last year giants it says here the giants from worst to first they're not winning the east the bangles from our servers they're not winning the north Arizona from worst to first that's not happening either the Rangers worst to first do they have a chance at all in the last to win it now with no way with Kansas city you can examine the Chargers the Buccaneers worst to first any chance for your voice famous it's not happening carver I just not having any of it the Lakers individual workouts come in for joking no Dwight Howard mo Speights and Mar scene guard Todd do you want any of those players whatsoever would you like Gortat out of that group in terms of low maintenance and just physical banging getting it done playing every night I think he's the safest choice out of all the drama acts that they have out there do you think the rockets should give PJ Tucker a new deal now I want one now now no I think they should get rid of a man's I mean that in a scene of him not getting it done I mean he's a they live in any fashion and all that nice clothes but do they get it done with them and they're going to know them anybody there toggle fog reading more NBA rookie of the year betting money then signed Williamson last time we talked you nobody has faith on science career being the best long term they said Cameron is sort of a better career tonight and tell you they're saying toggle follows the rookie of the year China's on it now what they're telling you there is that more people are betting on him the reasons why more people are betting on him is because it's impossible to bed sign on to win the rookie of the year you can't do it your pain might heavy minus sides because he's such a huge breath right so they're looking for people with some really good Jew some really good plus sides and everybody loves following part of a team Jesus it's about the music it's a landing the money the frame and relationships is dead last sex and relationships I gotta tell you it out I do it to pay the bills right and to I don't know that that handles anybody's capacity for accepting at a decision all these people what is that one I read it's a to inform our due to what was it to serve the community we're trying to "staples center" Discussed on Mason & Ireland
"You're going to get one of those you and the kids. So you know, the of the kids. No, no, no. You know, the thing about me is that the babies now therefore for their young for a venture. They're in there in pony league baseball man there on the the athletics this year. Oh that's great game tomorrow against the brewers task. I yeah. So I do not like cheese. So the my issue with this is they're probably it's probably pre made to some extent, I would have to take the cheese off. But I still I may do that you should go you should go because the rest of it sounds great Atkin truffles. It's going to be awesome. Can I tell you guys a weird story? And what you told me it's this is something or nothing. Okay. Okay. So tonight is game. Six at Staples Center between the clippers and the warriors. The rockets have already advanced. To the next round. So they play the winner of this series up. And the rockets have flown to San Francisco today now. Okay. So but follow me on this. So. The clippers called their normal hotel in San Francisco to make sure that they can get in. If they win tonight game seven would be Sunday in Oakland. And they were told that their rooms are gone because they've given them to the rockets. Oh, wow. Now, the rockets is that a fact. Yeah. Now, the rockets. I've fallen up there. Even though there's a possibility there will never be a game there. In other words, if the clippers were to win in home tonight, which isn't like unforeseeable, they're not favored, but they could just say. Yeah. Gimme twenty five hundred mythical money. Golden State minus the ten tonight versus the clippers. I think the same thing for five. All right of GU I'll stepping up. Okay. So, but here's here's the thing. Let's say the clippers miraculously win tonight. Right. Okay. Then they go up there for game seven, then the rockets are sitting in San Francisco until game one which would Mike probably be what Thursday, so John you like conspiracy theories. Right. Yeah. So I heard something about this last night, and the rockets actually put out some sort of I don't know if it was a direct statement. But basically, they told somebody that they didn't need it as any disrespect that it's the only respect not. But here's but help but check this out what better way, could you motivate the clippers players then to put this out there. If you're the rockets who who want a dense another debt taken out of the warriors it now the clippers play hard anyway. But you you you don't think Doc Rivers who was famed the thing that I keep hearing about doc over the years. The one thing he does the best is rally the troops at before the game and had half gives the best beaches. Can you imagine the speech that he gives tonight about the rockets or after this and they're in there? The warriors. No one thinks come on. This is brilliant by the rockets that statement brilliant means for the clippers right? But also the rockets because they want them to take a chunk out of the warriors. Right. We mean, no disrespect towards the clippers. I've never heard of anything more disrespects, the most most disrespectful thing I've ever heard and also sense. Now, it is honestly it is kind of comments. I totally agree with you. It's both. But the reason it's never happened before ever as far as I know in the history sports, no team has ever flown into a city. With the potential of a game never being played there. Even if the the clippers win tonight game seven between the clippers and on Sunday, and the rockets would just be sitting there. All right Bri, go to the game. Right. Well, well, they could go to the hotel. They're already there or they have to. Yeah. I mean, nobody thinks that the clippers are going to win the actual series go. But how about how about this scenario, which was which is the one you root for now? All right. The clippers shocked the world they win tonight and Sunday. The rockets would have spent thousands of dollars to fly San Francisco and that series opens in Houston the money..
