"By stag Amorn Stanley huff. Trains and I I'm out at at Saratoga. Ran Third Three technique at Jeremie engelhardt to your old. And then he came back last time at Churchill on September twenty nine and a roll like look in I outran linens map within their came back and broke his main a few weeks ago. And I'm GONNA give him a slight edge Steve to To prices in the teens to worth mentioning Something natural the Brad Cox talks that broke the maiden at Indiana and the the interesting thing here was a is a violence cold out of a gilded time mare and cox started him on the grass and really didn't show a lot and that included in fighting. CB He and Billy Batson debuts but then a given the opportunity on the main track. Really took a Asi- sizable people step forward and also not only was it first. Dirt but also the blinkers went on so something natural twelve to one might be the interesting other Brad Cox and and I'm a longtime fan. Apollo logo and Ali wonder that was a very good debut at bell. Tara and I know that sometimes names these you know. The the Ohio form has not held up but the Ali wonder seems competitive in here and didn't run like a Colt. Holt that Actually he's originally. That needed the lead by. We'll take charge. I I thought I thought there was some some interest is to be had fifteen to one and only wonder twelve to one on something natural One of just so many good races on this card Bangel Bangle look tough in the six to me and so did black cat taps in that third In terms of some logical horses that are the ones to beat elsewhere on the on the car. Did you do any any laden work on this. I've still got A. I'm still still got some work to do on the I will point out on. Sunday is single.

"Only impressive horse in here i thought scabbard ran very well in second he had quite a troubled trip i think it's worth watching the replay and he's still got a one eleven time form USB figure in his first try around two u-turns and even the third place i got a one oh nine of abdo who had was stretching out actually from only five and a half furlongs and he got a little bit tired but but the pace was solid and this was a really really nice look horse i'm not one for being able to judge good looking horses but even i could see this one was a really nice book in horror so i thought the top three or i'll really promising juveniles than i think is gonna turn out to be a strong race i agree with that i think this was a really nice field and i know what you're saying about denis's moment being geared down at the end personally i doubt it could have run much faster because he was only gear down for you know maybe ten strides at the end of the race i how much momentum losing at that point and while it did look like the margin was shrinking at the very end i think that was more due to the run at scabbard was put again because because he was really finishing with a lot of energy at the end of this race as you were saying sort of loss meant got stopped coming to the quarter pole and i thought he really regathered himself well to be finishing as well as he did it at the finish he's a horse that certainly handle the two terms well it certainly run like he might be the case in his sprint race has and and that proved to be true here leda who is third i agree with you i think he's a horse that has real ability he probably doesn't wanna go shorter privatised the only horse side who had beaten him was that wesley board maven who went over to believe france in won a group race over there on the turf so he obviously had shows quality previous yes to this but i think these are all three so some nice horses the top shoe obvious they're ones that was onto a race like the breeders cup juvenile and probably be major players there because these figures i don't envision to these two year olds running a lot faster in the subsequent perhaps for that race so we'll see what happens but dennis has moment seems like a pretty special one on just were on the same page i think we agree on the gear down thing when i said he could have run faster i'm talking maybe could match the one twenty s time just when it's i i'm not saying it was a one twenty five fifty was very hard to the wire or anything like that no i totally i take your dad and i know that we talked about this stuff in the past but i know some people do think these horses could have sudden late hit another gear ten points bastrop the jockey hasn't stopped moving his hands is about three seconds before the wire just not sure that that really turns out to be true in most cases but i'm taking nothing away from dentists moment he is a really talented horse and the the speed figure that he earned just based on the final time and he ran not out fast he could have already impressive so he's just a very exciting to europe to prevail romans a not so sure that the two phillies were quite as exciting in the pocahontas lazy days coming in from california again for doug oh neil here over the huge long shot his glory the result of this race definitely bladders bat who won the del mar debutante a couple a couple of weeks ago because lazy days yet been well beaten in that race behind her but she forces they both obviously improve stretching out in distance around the turns particularly blue the runner up with hadn't shown a whole lot sprint races but just seemed to relish destroyed gentleman was sixteen yeah there is really good effort by leased take it got to one five time form USB figure which solid i mean compared to dennis's moment you know yet she doesn't look like a superstar but i think it was a really really good effort for a philly this time of year i do want to note there there were three mile and a sixteenth races run there was also the great three locust grove which was run by go google yourself so we had a pretty good comparison for speed figure making that locust grove did have a slow pace with blue fraction so i think that held those philly older fillies times back just a little bit but it certainly wasn't a tough speed figure to make the ten point different tiers pretty representative but you you know i don't wanna knock lazy daisy too much visually good effort as she was pulling away at the end nobody was really making up any ground and it seemed like she could certainly go further author at the pace was moderate here which probably helped her a little bit but as you said it certainly flattered best in her win in the damore debutante yet i i probably was a little too hard my lead up to that race on this because it was not as impressive as a horse like debt is his moment but earning triple digital from your speed figures for the top two finishers here as two year old fillies at this point in the year that's pretty good and we haven't seen too many of these two year old fillies doing that so far so i do want to give these horses credit credit and just looking at the the way that these has finished i mean there was fourteen lengths from first place to fourth place so whenever you see really big gaps like that between the horses the finish line find probably means that the runners up did some did some good work and actually earn some legitimately high-speed figures and i think that was the case with both lazy daisy and his his glory the pace definitely help them because they weren't willing that fast upfront wasn't a slow paced by any means but we didn't see a whole lot of horses closing in this race we'll see if others present themselves as top look forward i know there are going to be some great one preps coming up in the al societies and and the present at belmont as well as the chandelier in california doc but i think these to really move forward and could be heard from down the line we'll see what else is out there as we see more of these horses running around turns one more race dimension searching downs for move on was allowance race on friday all stakes quality field as recruiting ready won this race was dropping out of a series of graded stakes races to run here and he got to the lead in that really helped him get back to one of his better efforts yet did he he ran a one nineteen time i'm for USB figure which is right up there with his best efforts he finally got out of that graded stakes company been facing this johnny feasts catalina cruiser at belmont even forensic fire before that moore was an ungraded stakes but i think he certainly graded stakes type poor so just a little bit of class relief and you know it just difference can do he is basically holding his form he's held it for a long time this year he started out winning a great three at gulfstream earlier in the year ear and he's basically held that form all the way through it's just a matter who is in against determine how good he's gonna do he's not a horse i'd wanna back if he moved back up in the a grade one or grade two company but he's probably going to be a piece presence in in a horse it's going to have to be dealt with yeah he's a horse who had struggled in some tough races earlier earlier in the year i just wanted to mention because he is capable of reading some pretty impressive speed figures when he meets the right company i'm just not sure that he really is going to ever run those kinds of figures against top horses what he's going to get pay his pressure he's not always the quickest horse out of the gate sometimes to get his troublemaking lead in those tougher graded stakes races but he has a ton of ability and also just a quick pop to his trainer stanley who following stanley huff s- performance during the saratoga toca me i really took notice of almost all of his horses they all ran well he just placed them in in spots where they could be the effective and i've just really really been impressed with the job at stanley is done taking over the sagamore farm horses it just seems like he's really turned around that stable and gotten them to all fulfil their potential counsel yeah he certainly has that's all i have kentucky next move on the woodbine and it was exquisite series of races at woodbine this past saturday will begin with the big upset in the woodbine mile race where got stormy was obviously he's leave the big favourite opera track record setting performance in the four star day of what she saw impressively beat the males and arguably this was maybe an in your field in that one and i think she was deserving favourite she just got run down by a horse who showed up ton of improvement to the honest i look back at the PCP's i tried to figure this one out i don't know where this performance came from from l. tormenta who was i think forty four one in this race he was a local horse sometimes that helps attracts woodbine their little differently configured at other racetracks but he ran the race that he ran and he was just best on the day he was he's a horse when he first one i was you know i don't know where you come up with this horse and i'm not sure i personally ever could have come up with this worst but ah i know some people who did and they pointed out a few things to me and when you go back he had run good he had been sprinting all year he was stretching back out and if you look back in his PP's he's he had run some nights races at a mile and a mile and a sixteenth as a three year old he had some trouble trips this year so all i can say as hats off those they came mm up with them i think you got a great trip obviously there was a fast PCC was able to get through inside while got stormy was a little bit coarser up then i would have suspected to what we had as a fast pace and i think it coster laid i think it probably made the difference in that half length achie- was beaten both of the top two got a one twenty three time formula speed figure and and it was a couple months back to a.

"I think we'd like to have are owners enjoyed our experience with us and and be frank with under valuations of horses and so that when the time comes is to put reserves etc on horses. Nobody is surprised nobody's going to be shocked and and <hes> they go away with a good feeling. You know you're gonna be busy. Go from here so you'll go down to keeneland and you'll be busy qian's timber sale of course you'll have the new york brad consignment here next week as well so you'll be very busy up here for a while before you get to keeneland and then in november it kind of switches you go from the yearlings <hes> the older horses and the mayors and foles and the horses racing age for people that are thinking about where they might want to or who they might want to send their top mayors to consign them. What do you want them to know about about what you do with the older horses while i think that especially phillies after track we we specialize the physics tipton do a great job recruiting phillies and and i think where are myself and my staff leslie campaign and gabriel diagnosed. They didn't have the knowledge and love far racing. I think that's a big edition and that helps to sail on to sail to where are we right now with the yearling sales seeing that market that people talk about the fact that okay either they want your they don't want you. Is there some middle ground there somewhere. Yeah i th i think to sales this year. We're going to be good actually does racing jurisdictions new yorkers kentucky's. I know there's issues in california but i think they're going to be resolved. There's love of racing especially here ending kentucky and i think people are are starting to see you've seen these syndicates getting bigger and bigger and bigger and as more people own horses they're gonna just find out the love we have far too awesome and participation animal there and i think racing will'survive and we will all survive yeah. Let's talk about this. I know it's a little bit off subject here but <hes> <hes> love to get your thoughts on this. I had a chance to catch up with trainer stanley huff last weekend and he was talking about a horse that he had that became a multiple graded stakes winner that when they when they went through the sale when the youngster went through the sale he didn't that well and he still went on to be a tremendous resource and that's a message. I try to get all the time that even though i i might not do everything properly at the sales doesn't mean they can't be really good racehorse right. It's amazing. It's amazing. We're just so focused on have to be totally clean gene and gone on to the next stage even two year old is they have to have these horses cleaning. I had particular cold myself few years ago. He was by white twirling candy and he was lame. In the paddock. We x rayed stifles. He had to hold on to stifle the vets. It is so bad. Put the horse down. I didn't want he made fourteen starts as a two year old stakes placed and all they could do is run never never on sound. Donald trump is still running. Actually he's five now twirling rolling tigers if they have that heart to run nature overcomes a lot of stuff so is there value to be had in horses like that that maybe don't don't don't pass the bet. Don't do something now and keep my these are very young horses. They're only year links. Is there value there without a doubt if you can live if you've got a racing stable and you you you can live with stuff. The horses are going to run through it. You know some of them might need an extra monitor too but yes definitely value there. Keep up the great work pat. Thanks thanks a minute past. The low paramount sales kind enough to spend a few minutes with me there the other day jud that last question that i asked him about horses that don't don't necessarily pass the vet may have a little hiccup here and there and buyers could very quickly get off those horses. But how many times do we see it patches referenced. It happens all the time that those horses go on to be really really good horses. Yeah that that happens in horses have little issues. <hes> sometimes you know the thing is yeah at a sale like this where you're spending five hundred six hundred seven hundred eight hundred nine hundred million for a horse..

"Them for <hes> hop. Shams and discreet cat was got trained like great horse you know and <hes> I ran him <hes> here here at Saratoga <hes> towards the end of the need and <hes> I told everybody 'cause I've by nature was a seller anyway but I told everybody I knew that it's really run and in <hes> any did he run a great race he he you know ran fast and look great and <hes> and that was the story story. I tell right after that Ray shortly thereafter <hes> Kieran McLaughlin game to me and wanted to buy the Shaykh Muhammad and I you know and and they offered they offered a lot of money you know like you know three or four million dollars and I and Nice okay great and I told him this is rob jam and she would have known needs to rooney she will sit and and <hes> she wanted to raise and I completely we understood I.. I was glad really <hes> and then came. I'M GONNA say a few days later and Kieran come back to me and said you don't understand shake mom really wants to source and he gave me an offer that was there was staggering and and and I told him it's Jam said Look I know Paul would which was a late husband I know he would he was a businessman. I I. I couldn't go to the bar in every day if he if we turned down this offer. I you know I couldn't every day I went there. I'd be worried. Did he beat you know something wrong with them so I said if he goes in the Kentucky Derby he's not worth any gonna get and <hes> so she collectively we sold him reluctantly and he went on to do pretty good but <hes> <hes> he ended up with some sort of infection and in the one last race he runs it was the World Cup that last year but he was so those kind of things stick out out and had another kind of funny thing my first couple years in Detroit. There was a young guy came in from I. I don't know where he's from Idaho and tell me what worked for Van Berg you know and in US watching Busey's so he a young guy get on himself and and he worked for a Bob Irwin which who ran it the van Berg Horses Detroit and I reached then claimed and I saw his young guys you know got a Kinda running himself he went back and get them in the paddock and gosh toward a bridle off stormed out of there and end up being billy Mutt. You know you know billion. I laugh about that alone. Agreement ruling on he kept on working for Van Berg and and <hes> you know and and the rest is history I mean he had one of the best careers you could have. You know so along the way you run into a lot of people so those all those kind of things stick out when you know but <hes> but you know I have a lot of Nice horses <hes> Never WanNa classic but if I had one that good I probably would've sold you know so that that's kind of my ideal and <hes> I I've always kinda went after kind of the economic exciting game 'cause first of all you know I was about as broke as you be and a young family and <hes> so I I I. I was always aware of <hes>. You know the only way this game. Is You got to sell at some point if you're going to survive in it and that's all I can say eight of people. You know. You can't always just by or you're going to. I don't care who you are. You GonNa have to sell something. He's breeding writes or something in order to last in this game. Yeah that's true. I sold the horse one time that I named after my son all I got yeah. It's been a remarkable ride for trainer Stanley huff. Who is our guest here on trainer talk presented by Phasing Tipton Stanley. That was such itching enjoyable thirty minutes. I'M GONNA I'M GONNA come back to you later. "Know horse like him will will <hes> <hes>. It's what keeps you in business really truthfully to find one like him. He seems to be loaded with talent. He's got he's a typical coal you know and he's kind of maturing as goes but he's had a lot of play Danny and <hes> and that so <hes> it is it is <hes> they make you wait uncertain times but <hes> again he's. He's pretty easy to train when you know to get him ready because he will okay you if he's at all able to he'll he'll give you very good effort he. He's he's the kind of horse that you can look forward to having for a while and your horses often have careers. It's not just meet you know there's a lot of trainers. They have a horse runs great for a while and then you never hear from him again but but your horses seemed to last in and it's gotta be exciting for you to think about not only the finishing up this sure bit next year in the year after that I mean this horse seems like he's got the right temperament to race for awhile I think he does I think he does. I'll peeping for major sire. I think he's got the pedigree and the talent well it so I would love to see him. You know race through his four year old year and then and then it go on degreed earn better things. You know that's that's my hope for him and I do think he has the talent in the pedigree. Three two can make a major. We'll Stanley sitting there. Were just that one loss in his four lifetime starts. This is a wide open year for the three year olds in this three year old division and if you're looking down the road to white might be a three year world championship global campaign if he can start stacking up some wins and some of these big races this fall maybe can throw his hat into the ring. Is that something that ever crosses your mind as a trainer to think about okay. Let's get this horse in the right spots and maybe if things break our way we can win a championship. Well obviously always say you know and in the clouds you know we were I mean you. You don't WanNa ever say that but you always are thinking you know so you you. You know you Kinda shoot for the moon you know in all cases in maybe come back to reality after after <hes> after going through this talent you always oh for that. I have no idea how is <hes> were were his best distance would be you know <hes> I really I really don't I know he's he's got enough speed when going short and he has he he has gone a mild and eight so <hes> so I I really don't you know I honestly can't say you know some little longer better but <hes> he just does everything so easy that. That I honestly no it'd be interesting in obviously if he worked run good and came out of it good. You'd have to think of the drivers. which is you know? <hes> were the best will will probably beat visiting trainer Stanley Huff here on the Horse Racing Radio Network our industry star of the week for this Saturday morning Stanley Lich shift our focus out to the west coast and that grade one bing crosby winning. You're in for the Breeders Cup sprint another talented runner in recruiting ready who is two to one on the morning line in that very contentious race this afternoon. Tell us about him well. "Here we go again another massive weekend of racing coast to coast especially at Saratoga Toga and at del Mar where you have all that greatest stakes action and win in your end implications for the Breeders Cup on the line again today yeah we've got a full slate at both tracks and it's going to be very exciting exciting Saturday to watch these horses running. I'm particularly interested in the vanderbilt and watching Matola he's been training like a bomb and <hes> GonNa be interesting to see if he can overcome the rail and the competition to win that we haven't had a whole lot of time over the past several weeks to talk about that Breeders Cup Sprint Division but this is probably a good time to do it here today because of the fact that you do have that A._G.. Vanderbilt a great one at Saratoga that you mentioned in Matola who has been so brilliant not only sprinting but last time out winning the met mile at Belmont Park stretching out and winning it that day but you also have the great gone excuse me the great one bing crosby out of Del del Mar today and that's a winning your end for the Breeder's Cup sprint division so those two great one sprint races going to weigh heavily on the minds of people who are looking toward that Breeders Cup sprint later this year yeah and of course you know the the bing crosby being in California California where the breeders cups can be held. That's going to carry a lot of weight and it's an interesting field. You've got courses coming from Florida and New York so it's not just the local oh horses and people are going to be spying that we can ask our guest Stanley huff about his horse recruiting ready who's very talented and I imagine he ducked Natoli and went out to California. Yeah maybe so Stanley half going to join US right around eight fifteen eastern this morning he is represented only by recruiting ready in that bing crosby but he also has global campaign in this afternoon's grey to Jim Dandy at Saratoga so are we as action on both coasts in the seventy one year old who has had a lot of success in his career is back on top of the game. He's one more than two thousand races in his career and he's looking to add to that total later today. Yeah well the post time for the bing crosby's eight thirty eastern time so stealing probably hit the sack and it's the little humor a former horse trainer day right yeah who's not quite seventy but on the way and and <hes> yeah it's it's it's great to have that opportunity a lot of times. You're you're kind of stuck running in a particular race if it's in the horse scheduler whatever but in this case Stanley had an option and he took it so it's going to be a whirlwind day for him. Global campaign very talented horse and has a big shot this afternoon the Jim Dandy we will spend plenty of time talking about those races throughout the program here this morning. We're also going to be joined at the end of the show by the Big Gay Anthony Stabile who you can catch every single afternoon Wednesday through Friday on our xpress radio program along with the pontiff big is going to be with US toward the end right around nine forty eastern this morning and he'll look ahead add to the big races at Saratoga today as we continue our Saturdays at Saratoga broadcast series later this afternoon that's all presented by visit Barbados Dot Org and you can tune in five.

"They're not going to get an lobbies. Just GonNa win. You know just going to win and I think that's a real possibility that he was both of these races Togo habit. You can't press but <hes> I believe that he is the likeliest to me at least the group here to come out of it but he's going to have to run and if Max majority keeps running the race he's running. He's GonNa have to run to be because not like Max. Purity's walking into wins he's running fast figures and we send us after cutting the Pegasus the original negatives status in the past forty years over four years right <hes> but it's like people were saying Oh laws this and that and it's like guys he ran terrific doc kick for data's wait a little better but just because Max where he lost that race. I lost luster at all. I think that's the poverty having these immediate reactions sticking to a PAN being to result-oriented. Don't be results-oriented analyze. It was just like here's another one for King for they had been the race won by six lengths runner one at one buyer be saying see there's maximum security. Most of the words ran very well to beat them. That doesn't mean ran badly right past is didn't run badly the balance not because he was incredibly unlucky to lose where he had this horrible trip and the winner got the best ride in best trip of all the combination of factors. There's an argument has this was five or six months the best development and how would be talking about him now that actually happens but and to ignore the trip for whatever your own reasons are whether it's out of some sort of just whatever it is I is this foolish and to insist if that works was best he would've won. I love that common after races aces no circumstance lead and losing and that's the nature of understanding trip panty Abbott or not or go ahead ignore it but I don't and over time it matters we'll look forward to Friday to this Carlin and then Saturday <hes> the sometimes the Carlin comes up <hes> a little light but not <hes> not S- Not Fried and Jim Dale earnhardt looking bikinis is obviously dangerous. We'll see what endorsed stretching out I you know I thought he was terrific last time but he's GonNa have to take a step forward stretching out to win this race but I think it's a perfect move Kieran and we've talked about it but on the show last week in that it's like okay if it turns out it wasn't the right movies not really a router. Though he's pedigree says he's supposed to love the distance <hes> then they'll come back around and the Jerkins exactly could absolutely win so it's a perfect move by him. You know gives them those options. It's like if it works out and he does really well you try to travers if it doesn't come back from the Allen Jerkins. It's not a bad predicament <hes> so in addition in that group on Friday Stanley huff sends global campaign who were anxious to see and what good timing in Yeah and the daddy what good timing Andy you're going to have Stanley on the show and of course he ate me the other day and <hes> scars are cool on Sunday Stanley's on all cylinders yeah it started school got a ninety two eighty three eighty two right here actually yeah yeah and I think that he ate me like a ninety. Five or ninety six over there really ran yeah. It's crazy. It's crazy and back training and winning prizes in writing this guy's the winning trainers entire career <hes> a lot of people won't remember some of the horses he had you know <hes> if you just recap industry yes all those discreetly ah well some went to pletcher at some at a certain point discreetly mine <hes> but Stanley also trained <hes> you and I when he was later sold to add mcgann right but he's Frankel the vile but Stanford you and I wouldn't be as career you an ice maiden win was giant win in one twenty two and change..

"I tell you rainy and I I don't I don't know if I recall twenty four straight hours of of rain in recent memory unbelievable but you know what we didn't have to race yesterday so as a result all it's going to do is make for a lussier greener more perfect pair turf courses when Racing Resumes Tomorrow and the supposed to get nice so we we may have dodged would have been a would've been a washout day yesterday for sure at Saratoga so we'll uh reset and get ready for tomorrow and that includes a couple of Nice as the week unfolds couple of Nice stakes Phil look forward to the honorable Miss Thursday the first of the two great one jump braces smethwick conditions will be absolutely perfect for the jumpers. There's also the jump event tomorrow that opens the card at the Morrissey you got the curling and if you haven't looked at the curling yet what a great bellwether for the three year old action and as we talked yesterday and as I'm sure it will continue to to be discussed cost with the Jim Dandy being drawn tomorrow the after results of the Haskell and knowing that maximum security is headed to Saratoga train and ideally if everything goes well start in the travers I well. It seems like we're on a collision course for an absolute epic late summer three year old classic for the travers offers and we'll get a nice read coming out of this weekend so as well as on Friday. I'll tell you about the Kirwin Andy will be with us in our three today and we'll see what let's see what he's got coming up for for Thursday and I think it includes Stanley huff Stanley sending out global campaign have pain and so far at the meat stand sources the SAGAMORE runners look terrific global campaign expected and Tacitus and more of will tax how about laughing Fox Fox Steve Asmussen. We've got another service that less familiar with direct order endorsed from Kieran and Godolphin highest honors back <hes> again for Chad and Mo- Gotcha for my Engelhardt so I feel the nine for the Kirwin and then probably eight or nine for the Jim Dandy and it all will net down to a fascinating travers that already with game winner and Thorndale seemingly and obviously maximum security probably king for a day and on and on and on code of honor everything you go on the three year old front so we'll get some thoughts will also look at some of the card the action with Eddie Wednesday Thursday Friday. "Any lines and I and I like doing it that way. I like not having a morning anyone in front of me so that's to me distracting so when I get the card of race three number four atomic just fix out 'cause shirk going a mile and they speed those grades according to thirty three percent of the racist last year when gay to wider bixby dies and he could be maybe not long speed but you know he's going to be up there with Rosa a nice pulse then the morning line comes down to the one. I'm like see that kind of took me back but I don't think he'll be to the one I think it'll be a little bit higher because both teams brothers down on the inside but I do like the tarmac I think his running style tips to track. You want here going seventy one on two times but he was claimed to fifty looks like he can handle first level allowance pulses especially with the prevailing bars. You know that that's a that's a fun race actually and I <hes> I haven't had a chance to look at any of the usually Eddie sends out the early scratches so I have it looked but when I wrote the race up I thought that there was there was a couple of a couple of notable scenarios. The Rock I ended up picking the rock says and just because first of also Louis I as ends up gravitating to the rock says for Stanley Huff away from the center Oh and that intrigued me a little bit and I kind of get the sense that the rock says can either set up shop and and basically Stalk Potomac or if for some reason less cano who is more inclined typically to you know to ease into a race rather than grab one by had a collar. The Rock says could also has a very adept at taking control so I ended up siding there but I thought there was some fun things happening in this. I thought walk-off what's what's wrong with with walk off trying to step up. Take the next step forward. This is kind of an old fashioned clean allowance deck right you know it. It's I level allowance period of seven horses. I mean this is this is kind of a bread and butter Saratoga race <hes> you could open up any decade and this would be kind of typical on a car now no doubt and it's the race I gravitated to so then I'm knowing what the bias is on my who's going to take best advantage of dad and the the problem with biases are jockeying ten. <hes> WHO's GonNa go who's GonNa take back and some writers have a reputation for going so for instance Jose could go on and Santo 'cause last time on slop but that was that was an okay pace <hes> smallish fields so he was able to get up second and win going away against St breads and moved up in class today but <HES> LOUIS GETS OFF JOSE GETS on and they'll probably we push him and his brothers down on the rail and like you said <hes> walk-off is in between the two when you really when was the last time you saw todd for two and one was a main climate and one was a starting allow usually usually it starts them about a little bit better but once he wanted to made and client that you got it you gotTa Take the start allowance. It's again you know it's hanging on the edge of the cup you just tap it and so now he moves up to I one often allowance battlefield but thermo breadfruit streets onset of an empire. I mean certainly hate to say it because I I don't WanNA leave into training early on the wet track pedigree well and in fact now you say this in our friend Marshall <hes> sterling <hes> he's just updated everybody in the last half.

"Here's what Stanley had to say. In about how he thought the fountain of youth might shape up. I think the winter my opinion is gonna come from off the pace. I think there's there's speed in there. Everybody's going for that verse turn out, you know, hopefully, he'll lay in, you know, and and get over and save a little ground, and, you know, be in the top four or five, you know, that would be my go, you know, our goal, and it just there is a lot of speed in there. And I just think that if you use your horse to stay with some of that speed, you're you're not gonna make it, you know, similar to the holy bowl. I think that it was too too strong pace something they're going to start coming at you. Well, there you go Stanley huff global campaign does has some early speed in both of his starts. He's laid second throughout much of the running before pulling away late. So he does have some some early to him. And he's had you've got to kind of let the race unfold. Right. You gotta let shape up and let the horse get into the rhythm. Yeah. I think that's the key with with global campaign. I think he's the kind of horse that can turn it on or turn it off. I don't think he needs the lead. And I don't think he needs to lay close up. I would fully expect him to run just like Stanley suggested like, you know, maybe fifth or something, you know, not too far off the pace, but but in contention without being used I would think that would be ideal, and I have a lot of confidence horse. He's a he's a very good looking horse. He's very strong as a certain presence about him that that makes you look at them. He he's one of those horses that that seems tough and and runs like he's tough. So I I have high hopes. For him. I actually bet a few bucks on him. I think he was some ridiculous price in the last future pool. And I was so impressed with his allowance victory. I bet a few bucks on them. So they get I win like four hundred ninety eight dollars. If he wins the derby. That'll be good. That'd be very good. Well, global campaign does have some really speed. There are others who maybe have a little bit more early speed than what global campaign has. And that's coma. And of course, the likely favourite hidden scroll who was very quick and very quick throughout in winning his debut. He should be the favorite later today. You're going to hear from those trainers, George Weaver on coma and hall of Famer Bill hidden, scroll when we come back. Let's pause ten seconds for station identification. "And honestly. It doesn't matter. It always wait is win. And it's always great whether it's a five thousand dollar clamor or sacred. He'll it's always great this horses. Actually, go out there and perform the way you want them to you really seems to have blossomed under your care. I mean, he he obviously likes regime or or have you found any particular keys to him. You know, he obviously had time off what she hadn't really had before. So that was a good freshening for him. Anyway. And I'd always seen him when you training Catalano. And you know, he's a horse that puts one hundred ten percent everything he does. Whether it's in the mornings or racing in the afternoons, you know, and he'd get pretty keen with his riders in the morning, and he'd always kind of do more than he needed to. And I really I've backed up his training away. Like, we just do a dog with them may not judge three four miles and dog him a lot. But we don't turn around too often. When we do, you know, we don't really don't Gallup too much 'cause there's no really in between with him. And you know, they're just kind of keep stress level down in the morning as much as we can. And then so breezes instead of you know, he's got the speed already. So we don't really need to feed into them in the morning. We do a lot of the longer slower. Breathe is, you know, more for famine a-, and you know, he seems to have. You know, conforms, pretty well. She is Jen Paterson. She is our industry star of the week. The segment presented every week. "With Steve. Raising and becoming interviews. This is Steve. We're back about ten minutes to our two after visits to south Florida with Marty McGee and j privilege Nick Tammaro joining us now Nick of morning morning. Steve, how are you? Good first thing. I guess we gotta do is take our lumps after last week. I I with with completely. But thought I was in good shape in the cross country pick five, and then, you know, then then we went down the down the dusty road, the Arkansas bread steak that spun things out of control and at Gulfstream. We were we were in trouble early in game builder last week. Yeah. Didn't really get off the ground kid happen out. It was not I guess if the Stanley huff horse runs down to hot I or from Dorte than we would've at least been alive on a few more tickets, but prince lucky was very impressive winner. And then the those maiden turf routes that we talked about in the last can be difficult. And when you rely a little bit too much on Chad than that can happen. And should we get he's still perfectly capable of having a first time ready to go? So that's off to anybody who hit we took our shot and live to fight another day. Absolutely. And that day is tomorrow. We can look forward to really a an interesting card. I it's it's not exactly what I was kind of hoping and to some degree because there's gonna be some very heavy favorites. Especially late on the card, and I just was speculating that if presi us in the in the Honey FOX and Jay walk in the devoted, Dale. And then the scroll if the three of them win the pick four, and even the pick five are not going to be worth playing unless you unless you, you know, leverage and enter gonna play a ten dollar pick four, and and have real firm opinion. "With him. I just love everything I saw about that horse. He again, he he was under such a long sustained run for for a while. And the big favourite in the race was another Chad Brown horse owned by Judd Mont named on the half the half the first defense. Yeah. And and he was six to five and you know, at at the porta pole those teasers looking back. Oh, yeah. He looking back like, you know is cruising got this race one. And so that oh, absolutely absolutely inhaled them and just and just threw away from him, you know, and one one very nicely and one ten flat. And you know, he's by Verizon. Oh, it's got a decent pedigree. Again, you know, it's only it was only six long Grayson's for start. So. It would be a real stretch to think of him as a as a derby horse at this point. But since on how what Judd my wants to do and how badly wanting to get to the verb here. You know, ready guys scroll? So who's also gonna be hard pressed to make the derby? So I I don't see judge my running two horses in derby with three lifetime starts. But anyway, this is horse definitely to to remember his name. I I was really impressed. Big long striding horse runs. Loader has said down got great extension to strive mechanics terrific. So very and and make your Finnish over seven links ahead of the third horse. So it was very close race. Joe? I mean, all in all it was very interesting weekend. Know. Keep track of with that. There's a lot. There was a lot to keep track of and we'll see. You mentioned, but with some others cost Akwa Dini look good at fairgrounds. So winning. We talked about that race extensively. Yeah. That that was a race that we'd we'd focused quite a bit on because Steve Asmussen early in the week had been on with the, you know, the too expensive horses that were debut in there and seventy seven seventy seven buyer for awkward Dini in in that in that maiden win Dallas keeps producing let's Steve let's look ahead. And there are a couple of in as you say, even with a horse likes doubt. Oh, it's getting a little late for horses to debut at six furlongs. And and, you know, jump in jump into the quarter pole is Trevor Denman would say, but there are some there are some notable maiden races. The next couple of days ahead of the stakes and include six foot. Yeah. Well cowboy. At least at least seven. I mean. The white green stakes race coming up that everybody's gonna be watching by the way is the tentative stream on Saturday. It's a mile and a sixteenth allowance optional claimer, and we're gonna get to see global campaign makers to to turn debut. You know, everybody's been talking about him Stanley. Huff was last time. We saw him, you know, with the voice like this. So it'll be interesting to see, you know, it's combination of sag Amore Windstar by curl out of eight PND mayor. I mean, and he looked awesome. "To look at some of the also rans to what might be something to look for. Going forward. So that's kinda my assessment of of of of him. I I wanna see if he takes a step forward. I think he might need a little more help equipment wise. Well, Peter Miller has got a second horse in here as well. And and keep the storm. Oh, we should at least mention the maybe there's a maybe there's a new my boy Jack to be found. He's got. Yeah. Disarm. Oh has to in here. Miller s to in here Baffert has when you're with, you know, disarmament sources, I I think are a little bit over match in this spot the easy shot and Sueno. I think they they're gonna need to take big steps forward. I don't know what to make us average rate v. Just he kinda over reacted to the minor traffic into the first term the cash toffee thirty. They are putting blinkers on him. So hopefully that'll help them to to do better. I still I'm not sure of the leather the he wants one turn or two. I thought his race in the sprint del mar stake. There was probably best race. Well, down in Florida, sh show gets code of honor back involved in that mutual macho man Jay some people seem to be lining up against code of honor. I just happy to the that should got him right and ready to go. Yeah. I'm looking forward to seeing how he does to me. It's a it's a good starting point for the new year. We know we got sick and had to miss the Breeders Cup in which he would have been one of the top choices in the race. And it looks like he's had a pretty steady work pattern over the last month down at pace in park, which is where should spend the Linter and he got a work at Belmont. Even after the Breeders Cup before he went down to pace. And so it's like he's trained right along and to me, it's a means to an end maybe he won't win. But he's certainly on on paper the one to beat. But there are couple of Woeckel horses. Who I think are worth noticing worth looking at here the horse. Intrigued me the most is trophy chaser of the potential upsetters. Because I thought he ran a a better than look Deford in the champagne you had a little bit of traffic trouble. And then he came back, and he ran I thought a good race against improbable in the street sense. And he'll be forwardly placed. And I think he's got a chance to read a lot better in there. And I don't know what to make well defined these these the thing that will benefit him. He's back at track. We ran a freakish performance in the in reality in September. He just be rent horribly in the the Breeders Cup. And I went back and watch the race again. And like wrote in the in the race recap of that. I just didn't really see a whole lot of excuse for him there. And maybe the excuse was just that he was overmatched. But he's back where he's certainly run his best races that I could see him potentially potentially improving in that race. And even the the other words, I'm kind of interested in seeing if he can take step forward is Jimmy jerkins called. The meals. Knows drawn outside the I'm sure six for is well short of optimum for him. And that's always done this first couple races. Now, it gets to run a one turn mile, which I think should be right up valley and. Well at start was first way fixed and he came out of a super y maiden race in his debut at Belmont. So I think he's got a chance to to move forward off of that. So there's a few wars in here that I think are worth potential could have some decent potential down the line. And I think there's a little more depth than here than that. Might would initially I glance with just six sources in the field. Agreed. And speaking of six sources in a field earlier in the day at Gulfstream reminder of that third race the seven furlong maiden special group, including the first Jad Brown for Seth Clermont. The tap it out of wild vision at three hundred thousand dollar bay who's actually already gelded.
