And they said Alabama was absolutely thrilled to land a player that they think is going to fortify their secondary and get right in there from day one. So clearly a massive loss on the back end that a new coaching staff would like to have there to erase some of those potential mistakes when you step up in class on a weekend week out basis. The last team that I kind of wanted to preview with a semblance of a level of deep diving and I say that kind of tongue in cheek as we've glossed over a lot of these teams, but trying to give you at least a little bit of a landscape for what to expect in the AAC would be the temple owls. And we've seen their win total on the move as well. I saw a price of four and a half over minus a dollar, 40 you may know numbers that were a little bit earlier, but when checking before the show this morning, they're already out to 5 overlaying a dollar, 40. And you never were sure what you were going to get from EJ Warner at the quarterback position, but the defense erased a lot of those mistakes, and they did lose a number of one possession games down the stretch, which for me oftentimes can be a harbinger of things to come in a positive manner. When you look at the temple owls, is there reason to be fully believe in that this team can get back to that? Yeah, I think so. And I go back to last season, not just you in pain, two guys that really respect it in this industry. There were a lot of other people. In fact, I would say temple down the stretch was a poster child for some of the bigger betting groups and individuals that I consider to be sharp. Love this temple team down the stretch. And they rewarded them. They covered 5 of their last 6 games. It was a team that's kind of even off my radar, but they really progressed and got better as the season went along. And they got a lot of talent coming back, 16 returning starters. Kurt Warner's son, EJ Warner, had an up and down season, but still has a freshman. When he completed 61% of your passes and you have a decent touchdown interception ratio, I mean, you'd like to cut down on the interceptions a little bit. I thought he looked fine. I was watching the east Carolina game in the last week. I mean, he more than made enough plays to win that game. So I think this is a buy team and I am part of that early limited money on tempo, at least whatever they could allow me to bet that win total I did take over. Yeah, I look. I mean, Stan drayton was one of those hires last off season that you went scratching your head, you try and how to figure out exactly where he had coached before. But maybe the perfect guy for the job. We know recruiting a temple hasn't exactly been easy. It's a program mired in mediocrity and being at the bottom of the basement in the past. So they fell on hard times after Matt rule left. And when he ended the baton and Jeff Collins, they bottomed out with rod Carey and maybe drayton can be the guy to bring that back to middle of the pack status. And to be a broken record here, Brad, like you've pointed out to us, another team that will benefit immensely from losing the likes of UCF Houston and Cincinnati off their schedule, taking on teams from conference USA. If they're able to get things done, a game that will watch for temple early on in the campaign to see how far they've come, a road trip to piscataway to take on Rutgers. If they're able to pull that game off, I think there's reason to start believing in what the owls can accomplish. As far as the rest of the AC is concerned, I know there are prominent fan bases in Houston that root for the rice owls are in Charlotte that are rooting for the forty-niners, whether it's in Tampa, looking at the USF pools and Alex goal is in his first trip there. Or of course, of course, Kevin Wilson trying to make Tulsa football fun. Something that we haven't seen in the last couple of years. What are some of the things that stand out for those four teams? And I don't think there's a deep dive really required for any of that going on. Deep dive a little bit rice, wink, wink, wait a couple minutes for that, and they might have some actionable advice on rice. Tulsa, I like the Kevin Wilson higher. I also like their quarterback braylon Braxton a young kid that played at the end of last season. He flashed a bunch at the end of last year. They don't believe me. Popping the tape against Houston had a bunch of great throws, good athlete there. The worry is not much experience around Braxton and last I checked Tulsa still hasn't hired defense corner. They hired one. And then he left for another position. What was he there about two weeks? I think. They went the entire spring without a defensive corner. So that's a worry because Kevin Wilson's a great offensive coach and did a lot of great things in Ohio State and did a lot of great things in Indiana, but didn't take defense too seriously at Indiana and that's my concern. We're so far from what I've seen from Tulsa. USF, you know, I don't know much about Alex ghoulish.

That was how much he loved you John. But obviously he doesn't wind up losing out on him. Bijan commits to Texas and he lives up to his billing. He's phenomenal. He forced 91 missed tackles last season. That's the most in college football. He averaged 3.9 yards after contact, had 8 runs. They went from more than 30 yards, he's explosive. Robinson. Reversing field. Robinson got her step. Robinson turns out that looks and Robinson is in. Touchdown number four for bijan Robinson. Now you see me. Now you don't. You can't catch him. His body control and balance are insane to shared choice who was bijan's position coach for his last year at Texas. Heisman winners are all Campbell, Ricky Williams, but and I don't think this is a controversial take. Here he absolutely joins them as one of the best longhorns ever. And I want to take a step back and note that he was doing this all as a LongHorn. He was doing this all in Texas when he could have been doing it anywhere in the country at Alabama, or why I was state, USC. And he chose Texas at a time when the longhorns brand had really lost some of its luster. He said outright that Kyle shawwal is better when Texas is good, and he wanted to help the long horns reclaim their rightful spot on college football royalty. That was more compelling to him. That idea was more of a draw to him than a potentially easier road to the playoffs or a national championship. So he has this track record of taking on these big reclamation projects. He wanted to make Texas the Texas again and now he wants to make running backs great again too. What was he like in the community because when I spoke to Steve sarkisian, he talked about just what a great young man he was. Where I've seen him grow is as hard as he works as good as a person that he is. I think I've seen him start to share those qualities with others. I've seen that the leaders start to come out in him from a work ethic standpoint from how to conduct ourselves off the field and he has a lot to give. I know he had a mustard brand. I believe it was called bijan mustards. So we know he's got the sales component to him and the pitch man component to him as you alluded to earlier as well. What

He coached here under Mack Brown right at What do you know about Bo Davis? He's a really good recruiter and a really good coach because he had two stents and Alabama And then excuse me coach with Mack Brown. He's really good, and I think he's a good recruiter. I think it's a really good higher and your higher guy named Bo Davis, who knows the lay of the land in Austin. He knows high school coaches in Texas. And I think it's a good hire by coach Steve Sark s. So this is obviously I mean, this is ah strategic effort that he's making because as we've discussed, he's you know, California Guy Sarkisian is with with no ties to Texas. And so he has to surround himself on that staff with guys who are connected to the state of Texas, right? Undoubtedly, because you've got to get entree into the offices of the high school coaches, because if you don't know the high school coaches in Texas, you're not going to do Anything. No Start doesn't know many Texas high school coaches, and that's why he got Blake Gideon a couple of days ago. And now that's why he's got Bo Davis because that is the key. And, you know, just like every coach since For goodness sakes, Fred Akers. They all say we gotta lock up Texas. We get up, got to get all the recruits from the state of Texas. Well, it hasn't happened the last few years for Tom Herman because too many recruits were going out of state to Ohio State, Alabama to Michigan on the Texas A and M not that's not out of state. That's out of conference. Me too many He was losing too many of the Texas towns, but he was still I mean, until this year, I think, well, the national signing day they had him in 17 or something like that. But he was still doing top 10 classes Tom Herman was with. Do you think that recruiting was really a problem for Tom Harmon? Tom Herman is out as head coach for the Texas Longhorns and Steve Sarkisian, the offensive coordinator for the Alabama Crimson Tide is in hired this afternoon to take over. The duties as head coach for Texas. He will be coaching in the national championship next week. We know that so it is kind of a dead period because usually you'd want your head coach to get to work and right away. You want to meet the recruiting trail, but right now it's sort of a dead period so he can stay focused for the national championship and prepare for that, And once it's over, I'm sure he'll be making his way back down to Austin. To get to work a lot of questions. Still around. While that need be answered a whore is guys who who's gonna pick Who's his offensive coordinator? Abuse defense coordinator gonna be?
