"But he said a lot of the older generation of already told him they wanted a soon as it comes in. Well, that can understand. If you're in your sixties seventies and eighties, if you want to take it, you mean I have a problem with it. I've already doing on my wife and I have discussed that She works at a local grocery store, not saying the name out loud, but there has been talk through the employee. She's saying that They're thinking about telling your employees if they don't take the vaccine that you're not gonna be able to go to work, so, basically, I told her she didn't force is harder to quit. Listen, they're not requiring it for nurses at ST David's in a variety of their hospitals. Yeah, but I think it's interesting that they're not requiring it. And thank you for not mentioning that your wife works at the Piggly Wiggly or handy. Andy's I appreciate them. Thank you so much. "Registered nurses that work at ST David's here in town, And they say that they couple weeks Bill received an email from the top brass. They're at the hospital, saying that they're not going to require folks. Theo didn't but it worked there to take this vaccine, right. The covert 19 vaccine. And I just wanted Does that mean the rest of us won't be required? I mean, does that change people's opinion about jumping in line to get the vaccine? When hospital workers themselves? They're there on the front lines Treating these folks are not required to get the vaccine. Now Secretary of Health and Human Services Alex a czar, he says 40 million doses of the Fizer Madonna vaccines will be available to Americans this month. Each person needs to get two doses of the shot. First. Let me just clarify on the number of doses available. It is at historic achievement that we're talking 10 months from that plague this plague hitting our shores that we have possibly to 95% effective vaccines and tens of millions of doses. That is fast. Absolutely. We always said the goal was by the end of December to have in the tens of millions of doses of vaccine. I've said hi tens of millions. We'll have 40 million immediately, releasable and we'll have a comparable amounts that are still going through quality control. What we've said, is for the average American who aren't prioritize groups. Over the course of February, March and April. Progressively is more vaccine becomes available these two and we hope after a Zeneca we hope Johnson and Johnson Janssen as those become available, more and more people will get vaccinated. More and more general vaccinations to the point that by the second quarter of next year, every American would like a vaccine ought to be able to get one. There you go. That's AH, A's are just a few minutes ago on Fox, and we'd love to get your reaction at 51283605. Well, I guess the medical community feels that masks will do the job. You know, I mean, that's what they've been espousing much Now that master or the deal Mass. Maybe it may slow the spread, but it won't do the job doesn't get rid of a virus. You know, Herd immunity will all right. But listen, if hospitals are going to require That they're that they're staff be vaccinated. Why should a building our cars require that? Exactly? So what do you think? Uh what? I don't know exactly what's gonna happen as a result of that. If you know the folks that don't get it will infect each other, and then they'll get it And then they'll have the The anybody but about the actual issue local hospitals or not requiring it, But your company may require it. You have a problem with that? Well, we're all talking. May we're all talking. Maybe in May, And maybe not. Maybe, maybe. So. It's all hypothetical. At this point, the shots coming next week. People are gonna start to get the shot here locally. I understand that. But the scenarios you're talking about are all hypothetical. At this point. We don't know if our company for example, here, Waterloo Media is going to require that or not. We don't know. We don't know. Do you know Have you? Have you heard something coming down the Richard and beauty? Good morning. Florida. Hey, hey, I'm kind of one of the reinforcement of the nurses were saying My wife also works in Saint David. And she told me they're not requiring her to get it either. She actually works in surgery. But she says she's not going to get it because just like they say they don't know the long term effects. There could be really God long term of sex. They haven't done enough testing on it. I also want to point out because I think this is just as important is there telling them if they do get sick or any symptoms from Covina? Don't go get tested because they know the testers so inaccurate. They say, Just quarantine. Don't come back to work, You know? Don't go get tested because it's inaccurate. I hear you, man. Thank you, Richard. I appreciate it. I mean, we've heard tons of stories about the past. But you know, the You know, false positives and false negatives. Things like that. Yeah. Sarah in west Austin. Good morning. Morning guy. You know, I just I don't understand why there is talk in our society about Mandated vaccine. I mean way don't mandate other vaccines, and for all intents and purposes, we pretty much eradicated Small talks measles Mom's Arabella except polio from our society without mandating. People to get a vaccine. So I don't understand what makes this one different, especially when we have a survival rate of 99.9%, which is actually higher because we don't truly know the number of people that have been infected with the Corona virus, and then we have all of the therapeutics. I don't understand why again. What was my liberal friends? They are fearful of this virus, insistent upon wearing masks that do not work because most of us are not wearing in 95 mask. Nor we pretty shields over. I so droplets Concil penetrate. There s so I guess I just do not understand why this happened in and our society. I'm literally at a loss. I know. Don can't help me with this one. But I thought maybe you could thought I'm not their hopeful. I'm right there with you, Sarah. I'm right there with you. You know, it's 99% recoverable rights and you have to get a test. Even I can't even determine if you have it or not, You know, it Z and if you do Test positive Most of the time. There's absolutely zero symptoms on the fact that a Zafar is the effect that it's had on the world. Yes, killed a lot of people, no doubt about it. But the economic effect that is has is not because of the disease disease itself is because of the decisions that were made by government, and that's two different people in federal two different issues that Yeah, and so yeah, listen, I understand all the different Viewpoints on this. I do. I can. I can rationalize just about any angle on this. I'm just I choose to. I will get the vaccine. I want that peace of mind. And I'm not gonna think less of you. If you don't. I might not understand it, but I get it. Yeah. I mean, when I say I get it, I I can understand why you would be uncomfortable with it. I am not uncomfortable with it. Good. Go ahead and again. Thank you. Thank you. You know what I'm saying is, I'm not trying to be rude. I'm just saying, yeah, you make a choice. You make a choice. Other people's make their you know, they make their own choice, right? It'll just be peace of mind. I'll be done with it. That's the theory anyway, and I'll go on. I'll move on. I'm ready for life to resume to normal. Absolutely. And unfortunately, the disease is, as I said. Has not has not been the cause for a lot of the really bad stuff that's happened. It's been bad decisions that have been made around this disease. Absolutely result. I have the luxury of waiting. I'm a healthy 50 year old man. I don't have to get it immediately and mount on the front lines or anything like that about a hospital worker or a teacher or anything like that. So I personally have the luxury to wait until there's you know, more data, more science and things like that. Other people got to make that decision now pretty quickly, you know? 51283605 nineties. As you know, Los Angeles and San Francisco are pretty much what? They're totally locked down right now. Which is really silly. It really is silly. Angela Martin owns the Pineapple Hill restaurant in the L. A area and she made a video as she arrived in a restaurant to set up a protest against the lockdown order. She spent $80,000 creating outdoor dining area for you know, next to her business in the parking lot, because they told people you can't eat inside. You got to create some outdoor space, and once they did that they shut everything down. Well, l. A mayor Garcetti ordered her business too close and others but 50 ft away Right across the street. The the mayor is allowing a movie company to set up a large outdoor dining area for even more people than she could so sure, Kate, or we're going to hear from her coming up after the top of the hour. She's got an incredible argument, and she's absolutely right. If if that movie company can host a big dinner party, she could have 2040 50 people inside, eating our food. You would think so. That's straight ahead. The tide and gun show. Listen, this real estate market is still red hot and you are in control when you're AH, homeowner..

I don't have anybody obvious in mind. It's terrible decade, but you mind if I, write you in. Can we do that? I thought we were friends wouldn't Sam? But I need the help. Yeah. I don't know I will let you set that one out. We'll. We'll take out. The inclination among Americans to. Not Look narrowly, people have had long political careers I. I get that. That's a bit of a tug I feel too. Yeah, it's it's early leaders and governors are kind of two of the places I. Look. Yeah. Okay. So let's let's get back to the core conversation and I WANNA move from. You did a great job helping us understand how we got here. Let's talk about a little bit about where we're going where does change actually begin on this issue. I think is a mentioned before I think that. the American people have to be our saving grace. We as a people have to step up once the parties have sorted like we talked about it's very hard to see how they go back that conservatives become welcome in the Democratic Party liberals become welcome in the Republican Party, and once that happens I'm just not sure. That they are really going to lead us out of the current Meyer that were in. So I do think it is we the people that have to step up and to remember where at the top of the ORG chart in system of self government we hire and fire everybody including the president and the Congress. And so we have got to step up in ways. to to make that happen commonsense American is one opportunity again, that's NICD. That Arizona Dot Edu where he ago radio and others. but you know there's lots of other. Organizations out there doing rape work. There's there's a lot on the electoral, the election system. ranked choice voting, money, and politics. There's making the ballot more accessible. There's a lot of great. initiatives out there at that level. Plug, any of those. Can you tell us about some of the groups that you're. Aligned with. I think UNRIG UNRIG the system is the whole name for it is a a kind of an organizing space for lots of that work has to happen at the state level. Most election law is the state law level, and so there are a really good kind of. collection and resource for the various state things going on. So there if you go to UNRIG. On, I. Don't forget what there you are. Are we go go yeah. Then, you can find a lot of resources like in your state. What's going on what? What could you know gerrymandering? Yeah. There's less concern I. Think there is a lot that we need to do. in. Our system works yeah. Yeah. No I see some groups doing that there's United America and and several that I are trying to work toward that end. And I do WANNA plug. For, everybody over the weekend just because it came on the last couple of weeks I just watched the documentary from Barry, Levinson and Steve I believe it St David Smick. "The irony is that when we started greg ni greg wanted to be like brian regan and i wanted to be like david tell and then at some point we kind of switched so he ended up being more like i mean you eventually find your own voice i tried on a lot of like i used to smoke on stage i i tried being very political and angry and you know when you look like hitler youth you can't be this is called knowing yourself right yes yeah you get to know yourself very quickly on st david's hell all the time growing up i feel like he was on tv permanently up late what was the insomnia thank you i wasn't insomniac and i just watched his stuff all night and it's crazy me now that a lot of people don't know who is it's you know it's amazing because david tell was also somebody who would come up with a new ten or fifteen minutes that was good every night i'm not exaggerating every night he would come up with new material and then he wouldn't do it again and you're like can i have some so it was there was a a prolific kind of writing approach though is embrace there but every comedian would sit there and go how does he do this when did you feel confident enough i'm not talking to business end of it now someone had to give you the open this door to do a one hour show one hour span so you know it's one of the steps for being a comedian is opening typically there's three people when you tour around right doing clubs and the opening spot is kind of think thankless it's usually people getting adjusted and getting their tricks and then there's the middle spot which is typically twenty to thirty minutes and then there's the headline spot so which is forty five to an hour and that middle spot is so great and so easy and a lot of ways that's that makes the last the headliner spot really hard so i remember that shift being very hard but i remember i was touring around doing a headlining at like improv and stuff.
