Jeanine Pirro Previews New Book 'Crimes Against America'
"I am a fantastic even though the country is going to hell judge I must tell you It's going to hell in a hand basket It could be And yet you have this fantastic book out here judge Called crimes against America the left's takedown of our republic So yeah go ahead I think no one can appreciate it more than you Mark because it's been what you've been talking about for more than a decade that I know of And I start the book crimes against America the less takedown of our republic with a quote from Abraham Lincoln from his speech to the young men's life theme of Springfield in 1838 and he talks about at what point shall we expect the approach of danger will it be some transatlantic military giant to step the ocean and crush us Never At what point is the approach of danger to be expected If it were ever to reach us it will spring up among us It will not come from abroad if destruction is our lot We are ourselves is author and finisher as a nation of free men We lived through all time when we die by suicide Nobody said it better than Abraham Lincoln We are literally fulfilling his prediction And that is that we are dying as a result of what people in this country are doing to the institutions of government to the culture that we live in to the beliefs that are founding fathers wrote down in the Declaration of Independence and the laws of the constitution Every day Mark we see it in the newspapers As we open our phones and we read the feeds and we listen to the radio and we listen to you And we look for someone with a voice of sanity because we say to ourselves I must be crazy This can't be happening But it is Mark And so I write this book like an indictment

Caller Tries to Explain Why Dems Are Against a Secured Border
"Here's Paul and Springfield, Virginia, Paul. I'm honored to call. Let me sit back and turn the microphone off. The floor is yours, explain the Democrats, unanimous opposition to the secure the border act. Hey, Mike, good morning. It's a pleasure to be on and I'm not Trump exactly what you're looking for, but I felt compelled to call because you seemed very here for someone who disagreed with you to call in. And I will start by saying, I'm definitely not a policy person, so if you're hoping for like a point by point explanation of the bill, I can not give you that because I suspect most of your listeners, I have not actually read it and don't know what's in it. And I actually have not heard from you on your show, although I've only been listening for about ten minutes, what's actually in it, but I'll tell you my suspicion is that the democratic position is likely that there are a lot of people who are fortunate and are coming to our great country because they see the opportunity here and they want to create an opportunity for those people to get your in a safe and legal way and again, my suspicion having read the bill, not a policy person, is that the reason Democrats are voting against it. But they don't see that opportunity. Okay, now I have my mic. I had my microphone off, but I have to turn it back on because inexplicably you said you haven't heard me say what's in the Bill. I've only said a hundred times what's in the Bill. So since let me just tell you in the last minute we have left, and I'll turn my mic back off. The bill would restart the border construction construction on the border wall that Trump began and it would add thousands of additional border patrol agents to the border. Are you against that Paul?

Unconfirmed Report: Budweiser Clydesdales May Be Replaced
"Budweiser, you know, they have, they've been facing this massive uproar, and there's a lot of, there's a lot of controversy out there because they have brought on Dylan Mulvaney, the dude who thinks he's a woman as their spokes person. Spokes dude is not a spokes babe. He's a spokes dude. Anyway, the rumors we're hearing, and again we're working very hard to confirm this is an apparently. The clydesdales are going the biological horses may be replaced by gerbils who identify as horses. So, no right, I don't know. No, I can't reveal my sources. It's an unconfirmed report that Budweiser is about to replace the biological horses, the clydesdales, with gerbils that identify as horses. I don't know. I mean, the gerbils are pretty strong, right? I don't know I don't know how many it would take to pull the carriage. I don't know. What, a couple of hundred? You're going to need a lot of them. But what matters is tolerance equity and diversity. That's what matters. So look, a Budweiser, by the way, has canceled, clydesdale showings over what they call right-wing uproar, they were supposed to be in Springfield, Missouri, but they are canceling that because of the partnership with and the backlash. And they're saying that their people are getting a lot of threats. We understand that a number of bars around the country have now decided they will no longer serve Anheuser Busch products, Kid Rock, open fire on boxes of Bud Light, and even John rich said, nope, that's it. It was Roland road westbound between Springfield village drive in Bellamy avenue at last report. You will follow police direction around the crash in manassas, Yorkshire lane between old sonneville road and route 28, follow crude direction for the house fire activity there. They may be still on location. Otherwise, I 95 southbound, looking pretty smooth as you leave the Springfield interchange headed toward Fredericksburg, northbound I 95 seeing some place as you head toward garrisonville and then again in separate stretches, continuing toward the Prince William Parkway. Once you get past Norton, you are clear toward the Springfield interchange known I three 95 going up to and across the 14th street bridge. If you're traveling in the district, northbound third street tunnel crash before New York avenue is clear to the right shoulder all your travel lanes are open, inbound and outbound New York avenue, just east of the third street tunnel, the left lane is blocked as a result of the work zone, further outbound on New York avenue between Montana West Virginia and Blaine's burg road that emergency utility work is cleared and you're traveling to once again available. We're dealing with crash activity on the southbound side at the Dale City exit the flatbed is on location. The bottom line is it's still two to the right getting it by again with delays. North bounders all clear leaving the Fredericksburg area traveling through open over the yuca quite a good shot all the way up to the Springfield interchange capital beltway in Virginia traveling incident free. Traffic moving nicely on 66 and three 95 no current delays either direction along the GW Parkway. In the district traffic moving well on the freeway just minor volume delays on D.C. two 95 in both directions spinning road up to the Erie's capital street and traffic moving nicely over on I two 95. In Maryland, we just cleared up an earlier crash westbound route 50 of three O one traveling to open, hyattsville area, we may have portions of Riggs road that's Maryland two 12 blocked on both directions at meter out road. We did have a vehicle come off a trailer, do use a bit of caution and traveling throughout that area. Staying in Maryland, capitol beltway traveling incident in free throw. Montgomery county and prince George's county were a good shape on 95 between the two beltways, you'll find it a bit slow on the northbound side of the BW perway, just north of the beltway off and on delays up through 32 in traffic moving nicely currently on I two 70. "Scathing letter from the governor of Texas about border security. Stay with WTO for more on these top stories in just minutes. 6 48. We've got traffic and weather on the 8th Jack Taylor's keeping an eye on things for us in the traffic center. All right, that sounded like I think that was the last of the activity might have been on 66 going west as you headed out toward 29 Gainesville along the right side. There was sheet metal that was down in the roadway at one point they thought they had to close lanes. So it's unclear if the operation has been completed and maybe that debris is gone, but just be careful 66 headed west. Eastbound, we've got some slowing in manassas, then that's about it. The rest of the ride to Rosalind, you're looking good. They'll always heavier in a loop around Braddock road heading toward gallows, 95 northbound a brief heavy traffic in Stafford, slowing in woodbridge, then again, heavy and newington. Same deal, we've got the heavy traffic leaving the Springfield interchange with some slowing, riding up towards seminary and king street, then again a little bit of a slowdown across the 14th street bridge. You will find 95 headed south, police are with a crash between lorton and woodbridge. It's along the left side of the roadway. I think completely contained safely to that left shoulder. Watch out in Alexandria along route one going southbound at east Reed avenue. There was an early morning crash that unfortunately brought the traffic signal down in the roadway, the pole was laying across the southbound lanes, blocking southbound, lanes are black, northbound, you're traveling are open. We're a little bit slower now in Maryland two 70 south, urbana down toward Hyatt's town, topside out a little bit more brake lights, New Hampshire toward Georgia. Good-looking trip still between the beltways 95 southbound, a little heavier every 100. And the Baltimore Washington Parkway is getting busier, southbound, approaching and passing one 75, and north Ben had been heavy as you approached one 97, though nothing reported in your way. Gary Ginsberg Talks About the Friendship Between Abraham Lincoln and Joshua Speed
"Actually shared a double bed for four years. But it was not uncommon back then for men to jump into bed together, particularly lawyers who were riding the circuit to do that, because let's be clear there weren't a lot of holiday ends back in Springfield, Illinois, in the 18 thirties. So betting was scarce and men would get into bed together without actually having any sexual relations, so they became extremely close Friends. For four years, and it plays out in the most crucial moment in January of 18 41 went after, as they say, the four years where they share every meal together. They share the bed. Together. They share their intimate secrets and fears and hopes and dreams. But in 18 41 Lincoln becomes depressed and he was prone to depression. He takes to his bed and speed ministers to him over the course of a month and at one point Lincoln and wants to kill himself. So speed takes away all of his sharp objects. It was only because of speeds intervention. Do we even know the name Abraham Lincoln today? But the real twist of this whole story is that they then basically speak goes back to Kentucky. Lincoln becomes, as we all know. Famous lawyer becomes a congressman. And then in the 18 fifties, becomes a candidate for the Senate, and his views on slavery are evolving in the 18 fifties at the same time, that speed is the most successful businessman in Kentucky and also his slave owner. And they've grown apart for a pet 18 forties over some disputes over unpaid legal bills. But 18 fifties they start cook corresponding on the issue of slavery, and Lincoln bares his soul about How he is just tortured by the institution of it and and speed defend. It defends the institution and they have a very honest debate in these letters.

Illinois Democrats Set to OK New Legislative Maps Over Criticism
"Illinois Democrats convening a special session to redraw legislative maps they drew back in May. Now they're incorporating US Census data provided in August. The hope is to head off legal challenges by Republicans Capital Bureau chief Mark Maxwell in Springfield. This latest move is the most glaring evidence yet. The Democrats muscled the first map through just to meet that deadline, and now they're muscling a second real map through if you will to cover their tracks and button up the parts of that first map that could have been shot down in the courts. Republicans argue it's after June 30th that constitutional deadline and by still drawing these maps, it means it should go to a bipartisan commission. Republicans filed federal lawsuits over the first maps.

"Of Springfield. You asked for it. You wanted it term limits. It looks like the possibility Moments after being sworn in as speaker of the Illinois House last month. Emanuel Chris Welch. Wanna raise the Maywood like my former colleague John Dempsey. Told reporters that he supported term limits for the position. What term limits What are these term limits? You speak of? Not in Illinois. We don't have term limits. But please, you choke. Turns out, he meant it. Rules that govern of the legislative process were released last night. And the first thing that pops out is term limits for the House speaker. Are you kidding me? You get power power, and they're willing to give it up voluntarily, like peaceful transfer of power in America. Is that really supposed to happen anymore? Also not only for the speaker, but for the minority leader, too. The proposal states that top leaders Republican Democrat blue red whatever party in party out the proposal, states that the top leaders conserve only five general Assembly's Now I'm gonna do the master. You don't have to. You just concentrate on driving. General Assembly's Can't you hear something? So only fine. It's 10 years. That's 10 years, so you can only be speaking for 10 years. That's only be 28 less than our last speaker, right? The rules. Changes were filed by Majority leader Greg Harris and will be voted on when the House lawmakers meeting Springfield tomorrow. The other big change. The rules also allow for remote legislating something the state Senate's been doing for months. They seem to figure it out early. The change will clear lawmakers on the House side to call into committee hearings so that will help And, according to the resolution, bills that are sent to the rules committee now must get reported out to a subject matter Committee for debate. Lot of people say bills go to the rules Committee to die Well, that's very accurate. And that's not going to happen anymore. Close quote that's from Harris, and he talked to Shia, Kapo said. Political by the way, it's a big improvement went on to say. It is the most significant change since Chris Welch became speaker following Madigan's decades long run. Republicans, of course. Say the proposed change. They're mostly cosmetic. And that Welsh will retain power over the house the way Madigan did. Well, guys. You need to win the elections to get the power. Hey, At least this is a step in the right direction. So don't become chief Dark Kat just automatically. That's why people don't like Republicans. That's why you're not invited to. Ah, parties anymore. I mean, real parties except your own parties. That's why you get beat up in high school like mad Gates used to almost every day, I guess. Probably just looking at him. No offense. Republicans say the proposed changes are mostly cosmetic. Quote. While it's great that bills get assigned to committee, they will die there just like they did in rules. It's the same process different committee. This is Deputy chief of staff for House Minority Leader Jim Durkin, speaking Our focus. Was to allow bills to get an up or down vote in committee. To prevent the speaker or the chairman. Person from unilaterally but blocking a bill from being hurt. Close quote. Okay, I get it. I get it, so they voted out of the rules Committee to some other committee. Where it dies. But at least it's Hey, It's something new, right? I'm encouraged. Are you encouraged? I'm slightly encouraged by this term limits for the speaker. And the minority leader. Sounds like a good idea. I don't think term limits. To be honest with you are necessarily constitutional, because if you want to vote, the same ossified old timer in Year after year after year election after election after election. You're dumb enough to do that, then that's your constitutional right? You know, I say, I say this, whether it is You know, crazy writing over here from Georgia or crazy Lefty over here from California? Hey, man, America deserves the representation They vote in Pay attention. Ah, that that Wells, for example, still retains considerable power by appointing committee chair position. Sure to the victor, Go the spoils. And the stipends that go along with them, meaning the case. Those lieutenants in turn, control what pills? What bills or pills make it to a vote. Uh, Harris says Republicans adopted similar rules done and on and on when they control the house. Way. Way. Way. Way. Way. Way. Way. Way, Way Way Way Back When He had it. There will be bipartisan talks on what works and what more needs to be done. Okay, sir, there will be care. Everybody's more optimistic now than I am. Become chief dark cloud since the sixth of January. I have I'm going back and re reading the rise and fall of the Roman Empire to see how far along we are another subtle change the next time a special investigating committee is called If the speaker or the minority leader is subject of the complaint is the subject of the complaint or the petitioner of the said complaint. They must then recuse themselves from supervising the disciplinary process that makes sense. I'm stunned. We didn't do that before. Really? That change follows the investigation and the man against connection to a federal corruption investigation and the complaint filed by Durkin. So That's good for the goose and the gander both sides there now as long as we're talking about Chris Welch immediately after he took over the speakership. They brought up redistricting and essentially another fair map initiative, which I keep pounding that rock. Day and on that, if that damn weekend and weak out, we need fair redistricting. I believe in sure, Max. But my definition of fair maps may be different than what Governor Chris occurs. Definition is and what the hell are GOP's definition is We have to get everyone around the table and at least have an open and transparent process. Okay, fine. Fine. Fine, Fine. Here's my problem. District should not be based on Special considerations choose a category Whatever. Politicians should not be able to pick their constituents and correspondent Lee Certain segments demographically of our population shouldn't necessarily be able to ban themselves together just so they can vote. They're one of their advocates into the legislature. That that that doesn't make any sense in my mind in my mind.
