"In a home where nesar or creating an environment, I think it's going to be successful. So I agree. I met I met Daniel when I was in the mayor's office and he consulted with us some down there and he's he's just a great guy and I'm super excited to hang out doing some projects in downtown Springdale now but Baja's Biergarten we'll be opening in the fall. So it'll be one of our first restaurants over in the arts district, and there's some other Concepts he's working on. There is a beautiful mural that Octavia logo is painting. Now on his building in that was supported by arts center of the Ozarks and through a grant along with six other murals that are being painted in downtown Springdale. They'll all be finished similar completed now and they'll all be finished by May fifteenth. So that's fun to look forward to also squares squares coming up, right? And it's Fayetteville to make first name Fayetteville to Bentonville but the halfway halt is right here in Springdale. If you just want to go half way, you can hang out here. If you just want to come hang out and be a part of the ride, but not ride. This is the place to come. Do it out and grab a beer and watch the other people ride their bikes. You know, there's going to be mimosas and Bloody Marys and brunch and live music. The square my first. Okay. So hopefully this podcast will come out obviously before then. But yeah, I love for people to participate in the Square to Square event. I think it's total of, like, 50 miles round-trip. Yeah. So it's, it's a great event and it's actually I've done it, but on my own, not with other people. I hope to do it with other people though. I think that would be fun. So, I'm very competitive. So, I'll see you out there on the trail. We'll see how that goes. So anyway, no, no. But seriously, this should be a lot of fun and I think wage going to be events like that. And I think they're going to be this summer, specifically, they'll probably skew to trying to have as many things outside Outdoors as possible. June, interform wage. What used to be Arkansas Arts & fashion Forum? They have rebranded. They have a new name Center form. They are located on Emma now at seven 1:17 Mi Avenue and they're going to do a month-long aren't installation throughout the month of June all throughout downtown. So that's going to be the I don't know what all it's going to be, but it's going to be fabulous. Yeah, going to be very fabulous in our June 5th. Our signature Street dinner is coming back this year. Tickets are on sale. Now, we will have the benefit of having all of those art decorations art installations. Sorry artist. Yes, it's not Christmas, but that's okay. We got, they understand. It's, it's totally fine. I mean, it's, it is, it is a form of decorations, but it annoys much more than anything. Yeah, beautiful art. Installations will be all throughout downtown during that month more to enjoy that. Well, and when you think about it, I think anybody listening to this that if you're an artist and you're thinking about coming in Northwest Arkansas, I think you need to understand and and Springdale is, is wage. Is not the only place, but most of the towns in in Northwest Arkansas tend to create a lot of opportunities for blank canvases. Right? Because if you think about it, the downtown area has become a blank canvas and you're opening it up to artists for them to kind of show their abilities and, and what they're passionate about. And that's not unlike what you've seen in in Fayetteville. It sound like what you're seeing in Bentonville, some of the great murals that you're seeing in Rogers, and other places. So that's the other thing I think is that there is an appreciation of the Arts here. In Northwest Arkansas. I'm like, a lot of places, right? Where you've gotta go through them, get permit after permit. And it's like, you gotta give blood or your firstborn. It's been to be able to do something. So, yes, if you bring us a good idea, we will work really hard to home. Make it happen. Yeah. That's what the doors open. And and so, we're always looking for those, those ideas and those opportunities. And we're attracting another thing that are, downtown's are attracting our makers artists wage Become makers. Are you know, we have Rachel, McClintock has beautiful woodworking business here in downtown Springdale. She makes cutting boards and in larger pieces and but I mean, it's a nice piece of artwork. And, but you can also, it's you can use it. I couldn't believe you could actually cut on them. I thought they were just decorated. I know there's no other way. Pretty cut on, but she makes them in such a way that your knobs will not more of them. Yeah, she has one in her shot that she can show you that she's used for years and it's just as beautiful as the ones that are. She's making this week. So you gotta love that. And you have James and James a business that furniture Monkey Business, that started in their garage ten years ago and they're shipping Furniture. Beautiful furniture all over the country and have a large warehouse now. But their show room is in downtown Springdale. Now man, I love that. Well, we're going to have to make sure that in our show notes in addition to connections, to the downtown Springdale, to your website and to everything that's in downtown Springdale. Alliance is doing. We're gonna have to connect some and I know you can share some information with me about the opportunity job. Home. So people can have an understanding of what that is because anybody listening to this, you know, one of the things we we've helped people with this podcast is that it's not just for people here in Northwest Arkansas, I get a ton of people, I literally got an email the other day and I'll just share this quick story with you before we end on something. I think you'll like somebody hit, you know, this this woman and her husband were like man you know your podcast is the reason why we're moving to North West Arkansas that couldn't have been a better. Not just it was it made me feel good but she they're here. They heard my I did an interview with David Johnson and Heather Rubidoux from the Fayetteville Public Library and we kind of did a behind-the-scenes walking tour and I turned it into a podcast which I thought I don't know if anybody's going to listen to us. It's like one of my most listened to episodes but they listen to it and it got them so excited about moving here. And they've finally just moved here and she was like she just sent me an email the other day. She was like we're here. We can't wait to see you. We want to take you to dinner and just thank you so much for for helping us see what Northwest Arkansas was all about dead. Oh, that, really, yeah, it really warmed my heart. But I mean, that's, that's the same thing that you guys are going for. As you, you create more awareness, right? I mean, you have an abundance of opportunities here, right? Downtown Springdale and people need to know about it. You know, that are right here in our backyard. Yes, but also people that are halfway across the country, and maybe you're looking for a different place to call home, there's not another place in the world. I would rather call off the Northwest Arkansas. I love that, I love that. Well, let me share this with you cuz I think you'll like this. And I always tell people that, you know, social proof is everything. But I happen to read this review that somebody wrote and it was along the lines of money from the talk business and politics website. And it just says my husband, and I moved to the downtown Springdale area, roughly 8 years ago, and we've never felt more invested and connected back to our community as we do now, the rich local history, culture, food and entertainment is unmatched. It's a welcoming and fun. Place for families, couples and friends in the fog. Food is outstanding. I recommend the southern yet sophisticated barbecue, mac and cheese from big sexy food, shout out to Chef Brent or the perfectly. Cooked shrimp tacos from Taqueria del Carro. And did I bounce that right? Okay. Good. And nothing washes. All this down better than a locally brewed specialty cider from black apple. Wow, just don't forget your bike or you're walking shoes because of the nearby section of the greenway is stunning. I could not have captured that better and I just thought I would share that. Yeah, I know I'm living every single day and people need to hear the song that was just a great review. And I always tell people. I mean, it's like, when you go on Amazon, you buy something, you always look at the reviews and see what other people are saying. And if you're thinking about buying into Springdale, in a sense of spending time here, or maybe even moving here, or, you know, sometimes that social proof is huge. And so you guys are adding to that fabric and helping to provide that social proof by all the efforts that you do. So as you close as there, anything else that you'd love to age, Share with our audience. Just come see us come, enjoy yourself and downtown Springdale. Bring a friend. Make a date night of it. I'm enjoy some of the live music. Yeah, I buy tickets to the street dinner. Spend some time for Ozark Tober and Christmas on the creek is the best place to spend Saturday. After Thanksgiving, it's a tradition we have down here and it's going to be it's going to be a special year this year. When we celebrate, that's great. I love that, you know, this has been weighing on me as you said that when when you were living in Brian. Did you ever Envision yourself.

"In the future. Wow, Farmers Market, Raleigh Greenway. And then from there you go, throughout to Luther Ingram Park, I'm sorry, turnbow Park, and they're going to realign The Greenway between a meadow and Emma. It kind of, for those of you that Rod that, you know, that kind of zigzags through there and it's a little uncomfortable, it's like, where am I off? And then your back, watch it just gets you off cuz it's like two options. I ride it all the time so I mean, I've right, either option, but for a while one was closed off. So yeah, that is going to just become this beautiful dog. Way into downtown Springdale right into shallow square. That people would be seeing that really soon too. So that's going to do all that open Green Space, that I just mentioned, we have more open Green Space in downtown. Then we do any of our other fabulous down towns in Northwest Arkansas. So that's one of the, the characteristics that we're really going to enjoy and we're, we're building those out. And we're building them with plans to how to program them for activities, near trailheads performance, Pavilions, more places that people can gather for picnics and and outdoor areas. And and so it's just it's excites an exciting time to be in downtown Springdale. Long, it is. And I think anybody listening to this, that's not that's from here, needs to kind of come down and take a look right, come down and hang out, come check things out, get on the greenway and get a bike right in, right? This is this is the best time to do a job as we kind of come out of the thaw that the pandemic created. I think more people are going to be going to do outdoor activities. So it'll be a chance for you guys to kind of show off what makes downtown. Window. Such a special and not just unique place, but I would say, utilitarian spot where you can do a lot of different things you can go out for dinner, you can go grab drinks, you can go get a workout on, you can go off outdoor bootcamp whatever you want to do. It can happen in downtown Springdale and parking is abundant. Yeah, that's true. There is, that's one of the kind of the rubs with downtown sometimes as I gotta go find Park but there's there's so much marking down here and it's tucked in around. You've got to kind of look for it. Once you get familiar with downtown you know where you can slide in just about any time and park and walk to where you want to go. Yeah, it's funny. You say that cuz I brought the kids downtown around Halloween when they fire department. Throws the candy from the cherry picker ladder trucks. Yeah and so but we marked like almost like right in front and just walked right off of that and you know got to experience I think I got hit in the head with a now and later but that's a whole different story so, but anyway, I digress, you're absolutely right. Parking is very simple. When I came to the black owned NW age, And that Jazzy Jay NWA in those tires, put on it was, I parked right in front of the Pavilion right there. So and you guys have done a lot. I've noticed there's been a lot of outdoor activities there. A lot of song, dissing activities. So it was an easy place for you to have a gathering. You mentioned the programs there. We've got some really great programs coming up in turnbow park. This year concert series concerts through Thursday, Thursday, Thursday, Thursday, last Thursday, and I remember the last Thursday of every month through September April through September, and then every Thursday in October, okay? Just two kinds of things on the shelf, right? All right. Now, and in a cool thing about that is, is that part of the Zone where you can carry a beverage, it is, it is up, there's the outdoor dining District. Okay, we were fortunate enough to March an ordinance through city council last year. It took us about six weeks to do it. The city council was supportive and trying it out in order to support the businesses downtown, during a pandemic and give members of the dog. Judy applies to gather safely outdoors and eat and have a drink and gather with close friends while we were all social distancing, but the metrics have been really positive on that. And so we get to keep that District. It's indefinite. Nice long. As we as long as we behave and pick up our trash the ordinance will stay in place. I mean the Mets, I mean I think you're being a little under your not giving it its Full Tilt. I mean 10000 Cups have been consumed if not more but the key thing is that there hasn't been like you said a lot of trash or stuff thrown about and we've kind of remarked about the same experience that I've, I've seen in Fayetteville, but more importantly, you guys teamed up with food Loops to be able to make sure that you're respecting the environment in this process. Right? So that's not just an economic Endeavor but there's also an environmental issue that where you're saying, we don't want to impact the environment negatively. We want to make sure we're stay on top of it. So you've kind of teamed up with an organization, like food loose pin on the podcast and they are about creating jobs Sustainable environment in the way that they use products that especially products that can be reused or recycled and so yeah. I mean it it's I don't know if you want to talk about that. Yeah, the we had a bar owner, downtown Jeffrey, Brown with odd soul. And Rick with the planning department, they had, they came up with this great idea for a compostable cup, receptacle. And it's a, it's a tube that you will see. Downtown has the cups on it. And so, when you finish drinking, you just put your cup in their upside down and then food Loops comes through and pick those up once a week. And so, the instead of going into the trash or even recycling, they go there can posted, and they're keeping the metrics on that. So on a year, will know how many cups were sold. And how many cups ended up being picked up through food Loop. So if you're downtown and you're enjoying a beverage, please put them in in the Republicans that are around town for that purpose. And so, that was, it was a really fun partnership with food. Loops parts department has a piece is partnering it to make it possible and idea that Jeff roanridge Came up with themselves. I think they're even going to pursue a design patent on the receptacles because there's so many communities across the United States probably across the world that have activated entertainment, districts, dining, District South. Yeah. And I think we're going to keep get to keep some of these amenities. There's going to be some Silver, Linings from this pandemic that we've been through, where we've kind of redefined How We Gather how we live, how we entertain, how we enjoy ourselves and I agree, one hundred percent, I mean, as as you're saying that in my mind, I'm thinking, you know, I mean invention and necessity is born out of adversity, right? And when you think of that, it's like, oh we can't sit idly by and just let things happen. We try to figure out a way to improve upon our current situation and I would say, you guys have done a great job, just like Fayetteville and in other towns here, in Northwest Arkansas that have done a great job of, you know, kind of Switching gears if you will. So in a very challenging time, thank you. Yeah. So I love that so. So, what's next for downtown, Springfield, New Jersey. Know about me know about the park. You've got to park situations. You gotta raise about eight million dollars cuz the city is giving you two million. What can people that are coming to downtown, Springdale, waffle expect in the next year or so, as things continue to evolve, one thing that we've not mentioned yet is the arts district which is over by most people will remember, where art center of the Ozarks was located. That was that building has been sold to cash or two times and Family Foundation in cash or The Operators of that building. Now cash is an Arts organization. Regional Arts Organization for all of Northwest Arkansas that is supporting arts and so on in and around that building, the Holcomb Arts District is also emerging. Now that Daniel hints as a developer of that project, we've had Daniel on, have you? Yeah. So he's a little subdued, isn't he? Yeah, I know, right? Yeah, he know. It's funny cuz everything he talks about like the DNA of the place, right. You know, that's his whole thing and hence know I totally get that and he's at the same time. Many different things, theater squared and projects up in Bentonville and I'm not surprised to hear that. He's working down here in Springdale and if Daniel has has anything to do with kind of creating.

"Of the things that we we did, when we let out to plan that Park as we love with the Arts because the arts arts and food, what naturally connects us. And so we LED with that and and it's just it's amazing to see this. The plans that are coming forward for that that Park and it's it was led with diversity. Yeah. I like how you looked at me when you said our food cuz I know I haven't missed many meals so and it's it's all good and I do like to eat and there are some great places to eat here in in Springdale, and we'll talk about that in a minute. But talk about the downtown Springdale, a life. It's not always been around, right? I mean it's, this is a fairly newer organization it is. It started out as a beautification committee, that's what I thought. Just to kind of get the place cleaned up and plants and flowers. And plant some trees. And really, you know, a group of people that really loved downtown Springdale. And then, as we started moving into the Master Plan. Building the master plan for downtown Springdale about five years ago, and organization was needed to lead. Those efforts that was partnered with the city but separate from the city. And so that's when the downtown Springdale lights was really established for that purpose to promote a vibrant downtown Springdale month. And so, since then we we led the efforts do that. We led the public input sessions for the master plan for downtown Springdale and then since then we've also facilitated a number of Grants we were ization that was awarded the design, Excellence grant for Luther George Park that's been about a two-and-a-half-year process, almost a million-dollar design Grant. We also in 2018, we took on the facade, we received three different facade grants and we just finished those UPS of 16 different facades have been completed in that just, there's more facades that have been done but through those grants that were sixteen and when you say massage, just for the wage, You know, you're talking about kind of like building revitalizations taking the old historical buildings or the tired buildings that needed, you know, the the just ripped out and redone, right? The best way to put it is off yesterday and some of them have taken, you know, have gone back to their historical context in some ways and some of them have just made them you know just better spaces. Yeah. I mean it's funny cuz like and we were talking about food started recording that when I first got here, the only few things that I remember seeing on Emma cuz I would come to the Jones Center but that was about the extent of it. I remember seeing the chicken for Tyson, you know, the little, you know, the neon birth sign that was there. And then, you know? And then things started slowly coming. I mean, you had black apple and just a little bit of everything that has kind of just jumped up overnight, it seems like and now you guys off on Full Tilt, mold development and expansion and New Opportunities. And so, I would love for you to kind of share what what are some of the plans for downtown Springdale and what can people expect khong? I mean here I ride through it all the time on the greenway right? Shout out to all the bike riders out there. It's a great place to stop. Now you've got fat Tai usually stop at Fat Tire and get a coffee soon. We'll be able to have Khan. Ke soja is my man. Omar Kasem is setting up a spot right there on the greenway you've got Chef, Brent Hale with big, sexy food and there's just in this that whole Pavilion area, I know the black owned in double had their event out there which was a lot of fun, just a couple of weeks ago, we were able to do it socially distant. Yes. And people had a great time, but a lot of fun, it was a lot of fun. So you know, what are you hoping to like a car wash in the near-term future? So you mentioned the greenway, The Greenway really was, is the spine that that's what triggered the Redevelopment of downtown Springdale is when that came right through our downtown and they opened up the creek, they day Long Creek and turnbow park, build that beautiful space, and just more businesses or filling in Maple Street Market, or Maple Market will be opening soon. It's a small kind of bougie grocery store on, Emma and Hulk. Sure everybody enjoys going to odd. Soul blue crane. Development is doing an incredible mixed-use development right now on the corner of commercial and Emma. It's going to be a four Storey building residential above commercial below, were expecting a couple of restaurants in their coffee shop. Little Emma is an apartment complex that just recently opened. They filled up very fast. I think, they least every one of their apartments in less than six weeks how many person and, you know, I think that when that unit had about eight seventy-five units, it was about how many they had in that all market-rate all market, right? Just booked very quickly and they're going to start another project, a big Emma which will be across the street and kind of behind the old fuels and supplies building that has been remodeled. Recently, there's three new businesses coming into there soon. There are a number of blocks down at large almost full blocks or partial blocks that are owned by developers were in an opportunity Zone. That is another thing that happened in 2018 that really triggered a lot of this Redevelopment off. Downtown Springdale that opportunity Zone will benefit us for a number of years. So, people are listening cuz they're maybe somebody listening. It's like, man, I want to come to downtown Springdale, and start something explained in are just kind of give us a vision or understanding of opportunity. Zone means when you take when you invest in a property and you improve it over time and you sell that property, you have to pay capital gains on that property. Sure in an opportunity Zone. You suggest in that property, you improve that property and you hold it for a period of years and you don't pay capital gains, okay, on that property. So it's a tax shelter. It's a tool that's used across. The was used across country to revitalize areas that were needing it lighted lighted. And so, and we're, we have four contiguous opportunity zones in downtown Springdale. Our entire downtown inside that opportunity zone. So basically, if I want to come downtown and say I want to open up a studio for, I am Northwest Arkansas so that I can do amazing podcast and video the way that I do, I'm being funny. But but yeah, no seriously. If I watch, Yeah, that's something that I could do and I find a nice small space that I would want to retrofit or redo exactly. And I would take, I can take that benefit. Okay, all right. And that's guys actually what's happening with the the school building that's being sold that part of the opportunity Zone, it is. Okay. All right, that that's been purchased, there's going to be some going to be additional housing. That's going to go in around Luther George Park Lake George part. For those that don't know a 14 acre park. That's been here in downtown Springdale for a number of years. But that the design Excellence, grant, that I mentioned. We've done a complete re-design on it. The designs for can be seen on our website downtown Springfield MO. Org and we're getting ready to kick off a capital campaign. It's a $10 construction budget. The city has already committed two million to that and we hope to break ground on that by the end of the year so that 14 acre Park and then the Jones Center Page fifty-two acre campus, I had no idea, it was that big, huge huge, but it's kind of disconnected. And if you drop bot, if you don't go there and enjoy the amenities for, you really don't know what that building. Is that you're passing that campus, does not suck. Speak to its Mission and its purpose. They're design Excellence. Grant is for that. For that reason is to give that is to Define that property and to connect it to downtown Springdale. So you'll be able to easily walk or ride bikes from that campus through the back side of it and then it'll connect right around Duluth Georgia park. So it's going to connect all that open Green Space and then where the around the corner from Tyson on the greenway, there's another seven acres where the Bank of America property used to be, that's going to be converted to a Greenway Market.

"A great program here in downtown Springdale month. And I know a lot of you guys have heard about the new things that are happening, all of the construction that's going on on down on Emma and everything that's transforming this area which was once a sleepy Springdale into this vibrant Center of activity and I had to find out exactly what was happening and I really appreciated really good friend of mine, shout out to cure Ramsey and the Ramsey family Mazda and that's a joke. They're good friends of mine. But I really appreciate those guys up. We've known them almost since the time that we've been here in Northwest Arkansas and had a chance to. That's the thing. I like about our North West Palm fronds that you meet people and you you instantly become friends. That's what makes it special. But without further Ado, we're talking about, Jill dabs today and we're talking about downtown Springdale. How are you doing? I'm doing well, Randy. Thank you for having me on today. Wow, it is my pleasure. It's my pleasure. Of course I had to Fumble through a couple of the intros before we got it going and I always liked to make fun of myself especially for someone that's done. So many podcasts you know you do make mistakes, right? And so young Have to be able to clean them up and move on from there, but I would love for you just to kind of introduce my audience to who you are. And then let's jump into learning a little bit more about the downtown Springdale Alliance, and all the great things that you guys have planned. Well, where do I start, Randy? Well, I like to just rephrase it. I like to call it the superhero origin story cuz we all have. So I know you have one. So give my audience that off. No version of your superhero origins. How how I got here. Superhero origin story. Okay, so, in about two thousand five, I stumbled Upon A Parks campaign in a community that I was living in Bryant Arkansas, and became the spokesperson of this 24 million dollar. Apart, two hundred acres for campaign and became stumbled into being the campaign spokesperson. We passed a half-cent sales tax. In that part got built fast, forward 4 and 1/2. Five years the day, the part got their CEO of occupancy, a certificate of occupancy was my first day sitting in the mayor's office, that was never dead. And it just kind of happened. There was an opportunity for leadership and the style of leadership that I had was needed at that time at that point in time for Bryant Arkansas. And so I had eight wild crazy fun. That years in the mayor's office in Bryant we did a lot of things we were I learned so much during that time. Randy, about Community Development, the difference between, you know, the urban fabric of a community and the spring that we had been have been developing across this country since the nineteen fifties, and how that was impacting, the quality of life that we all had our mental health, our physical health, and, as I started learning that, how do we change that? How do we do them, than what we've been doing? And it starts with policies. And that's the most frustrating part of it is because the policies are hard to get past and then move and harder to implement and build too. And but we did offer that we did Safe Streets, we did a complete streets program. We started redesigning with the downtown could be in that in that area. And we we did a lot of those things and then my eight years was up and down. Opportunity to come to downtown Springdale. That opportunity was like taking a 20 to 30-year fast forward, jump in my career in based on the things that I was getting to work on at that point in time and it also have the opportunity to start realizing and living the living in that Urban Fabric and benefiting from an in joining, the friendships that are built in it and riding my bike to work. If I wanted to or taking a bicycle ride during at lunch, enjoying sitting on outdoor patios and then and there's just so much going on here. So I never really intended to be in Community Development, but I'm here. I love it. It's, it's what I do. I'm a connector and kind of a jack-of-all-trades, so, well, yeah, so from one jack-of-all-trades to another, I know, sometimes it's, you know, like they say the curse of the gifted, right? It's like would you do next? And it's like, I don't know. Let me figure like yeah, exactly. So so just to be clear, just to share with my audience. Where is Bryant Arkansas, Bryant Arkansas is the geographical center of the state of Arkansas birth. It is there's even a Mart historical marker there for that and it is just south of Little Rock by two exits. Okay. All right. Cool. And you are the mayor there. I was the mayor there for eight years from 2011, through 18 Bemidji ticks. No, no. Not right now, not right now right now. So it's, it's, I know it's a loaded question because I mean, you think about it, it's like oh my God. It's just I guess you look back and you're like, man, that was wrong. It was probably a different time and, and you learn a lot, right? I mean, you learn a lot, you learn about building coalitions across aisles and Pathways, and belief systems and everything else is and she can't get anything done by yourself know. It is definitely a collaborative process and I love local government. I think local government is where we can make the greatest amount of impact, have some people's lives. And we need to, we need to focus more on local government, and then push up from there. Yeah, yeah, that's huge. So you bounce out of the mayor's office and you come you fall, you almost roll right into the downtown spring. Alliance. What was that like for you? Well, it rained for 90 days and it was gray, and it was quiet. And then, and I worried about it for a little bit. I thought what in the world, but it was just this period of a little bit of a lull. And then March came sun, came out and I started really realizing, what was getting ready to come out of the ground here meeting so many people, and be a mayor, you have a large Rolodex in your head of people, and I had to, and then I step into this town and every conversation I had for a year, almost was with somebody. I'd never had a conversation with before. And so that was, you know, that was just getting my feet under me learning, you know, who I was working with who the partners were. And then realizing what the plans were understanding, what had gone into this down town. We're gonna see over the next three to five years. A lot of things happen in downtown Springfield. We already have over the last couple of years but all of these things are happening. The seeds for these things were planted twenty or thirty years ago. Yeah. Yep. You know, when we're just this ground has been tailed for a long time and we're going to really getting ready to see the fruits of so many people's labor. And there's so many people here in Springdale that are still engaged and plugged into a generations of people. And that's this one things I just love about Springdale is it's people, they stay here. Yeah and I mean I know numerous families that have four or five, six generations of families here. In Springdale, waffle is really rare from what I've seen in smaller towns. And in Springdale is still says a very much of a small town. Feel it will be one of the largest cities. It is one of the largest cities in the state but it has this. I've been here forever, this is my town. There's so much pride here in the community and and it's really growing in a in a healthy manner from that standpoint. Yeah no, absolutely. And it's it's, quite a quite a diverse Community as in a very much. So you have a huge latino population, you've got a marshall least population, so you've got a little bit of everybody that's kind of mixing into Springdale and making it as I like to say. North West Arkansas off. Instant pot. But it's Springdale is a melting. So it is it the diversity of Springdale adds so much vibrancy to it and we're, we're embracing that, you know, we've not always been, we've not always been this diverse but we are dead. It is being welcomed, with open arms. We're leading. We'll talk about Luther George Park, a little bit in a minute, but one.

"Of Cincinnati Norwood in Springdale I hope that will be done by two o'clock today if not we will update it one more time this week to make sure that it's as accurate as possible so moving moving into a little bit of what we're hearing and what we're seeing you know our office is still managing complaints that we receive and we're getting a variety of complaints about certain businesses being open my team is continuously working tires tirelessly to handle these phone calls and to manage each complaint that we get both the original order from the director of health and the amended order do you have some clauses for central business and oftentimes businesses who don't want to shut work really hard to figure out ways that they can fall into that under commissioner three houses leadership in the second order we do now have a dispute board so want to help departments are handling it completely differently we are able to work with the dispute board so that we can see consistency across the state that is something we've been saying now for several weeks would be very beneficial the more we and Hamilton County tree to business the same as Clermont county or Cleveland the better off we will be statewide for for our activity another type of complaint that I continue to get a lot of feedback from the public on are these outdoor box stores to the large stores that sell March as well as construction material I want to reiterate mulching the yard is not a central business there is no need for you to match the yard right now and we're all in this together however construction is a central business so my office will not be able to close these types of stores they will remain open and they can still sell mulch but that does not mean you have to go there each trip you make increases the risk for yourself and your family and your friends so we're really just reactivating it read iterating the point that commissioner tree house made make yourself stay home this isn't the time to go entertain yourself I know it's pretty and I know if you have a motion to do now is the time that you want to do it but take that extra step and safeguard your family we are getting ready to celebrate Easter across the community and I've had a lot of questions about church church is exempt in the governor and the director of health stay at home order so it can continue but it doesn't mean you should go to church right now many services have been canceled many ministers have come up with alternative ways to celebrate including church from the parking lot including televised masses and services I would really encourage if you feel the strong urge to participate to do so via via the television or find drive up service so that you are protecting yourself many communities have had questions about Easter egg hunts and even though they feel like their ways that they can space kids out Easter egg hunt should be canceled at this time and I know these are difficult choices for for our communities to make and I know these are difficult choices and these are just not normal times so I I challenge everyone to really think about what they can do to social distance one of the spend a minute I've also done a lot of questions about face masks and I wanted to share a few different types of face masks the first one is the N. ninety five mask that we've heard so much about I have two different types of N. ninety five masks this one fits close to the face and it has the elastic that holds it on to the.
