Los Angeles Lakers win NBA Finals; LeBron James secures his fourth championship

"The ENDA has a new champion. That's it. It's over. This historic 2020 MBA championship belongs to the Los Angeles Lakers. LeBron James led the Lakers to their 17th title there first in 10 years and the first, of course, since Kobe Bryant was killed in a helicopter crash earlier this year, they beat the Miami Heat in six games. And remember, it did not seem like it would even get this far. The MBA stopped play back in early March, when a player for the Utah Jazz got Corona virus back then, playing the season seemed like a fantasy. So Lee Commissioner Adam Silver decided to bring the season to Disney world. So what we've come up with now is playing at a single sight. At Disney Wat world of Sports complex. The league's started up again in a bubble. All players, coaches and staff had to quarantine before entering. Everyone got tested regularly stuck inside the bubble. The isolation started getting two players even LeBron. I've had a number of nights days. Think about bubble. Everyone has they cross the line, but the bubble did work. Here's league commissioner Adam Silver again right before the finals. We have had zero cases. Among players among team staff working on campus. This program is working, which got us to the playoffs. The Lakers were heavily favored over the Miami Heat, but the Heat star player Jimmy Butler, did not make it easy. Butler drives Falling away. Got it again. Jimmy Butler puts the heat back up by one James drives goes inside. Lay up, mister, get the rebound. The following banks at home, James and Butler throwing haymakers at each other. The heat suffered some injuries and that helped bring the Lakers to the championship. We just want our respect. Organization. What they respect Laker nation won't they respect I want my damn respect, too. I think you got it. LeBron.

The Nuggets led by as many as 12 of the first half in Spurs. Went on a run and win it by nine in the third quarter, but the fourth quarter belonged to dinner. Nuggets took the court without three starters. Gary Here's Will Barton Jamal Marie were all out. But for the second straight game that didn't matter because Michael Porter Jr picked up the slack, M P. J was sword and scorned like Jordan. "Wide world of sports complex with all kinds of you know basketball courts soccer fields baseball diamonds and Major League Soccer and the NBA are both talking with Disney about doing their seasons there which should be a pretty good place I mean they got twenty four thousand hotel rooms they've got all the venues and you know you wouldn't have any people there except for the players obviously just doing the games and it be a great place to kind of just be secluded away from everybody and and finish things up it's the Pauly shore biodome approach to major league sports where you're just going to basically keep people quarantined away from the rest of society yeah and and the reason one of the big things is they're so worried about one person testing positive on one of these teams okay that happens five do and then they shut it down again mmhm what they've said is if somebody gets it and they will somebody probably will yeah I hate it's likely I guess that someone will get it when everybody comes together is just quarantine them and keep going you don't have to shut down the season again right yeah do that I think you have unless it's like a really big problem I think you have to just keep going it is a one person testing positive I think you're right you quarantine what happens when eight people on the same team do on an NBA team has just you know video of the fifteen people and you got a problem an active roster yet what happens if like you're in the NBA finals and lebron James tests positive for covert what happens yeah in lebron's case I would say he should be ejected from the league and never return let's say a player that I like and it happens to the seriously like you know you know Yanis referred the box test positive during the NBA finals what do you do what do you do you take away the eight you know NBA MVP on off of off of a team in the middle of finals can you but yes we absolutely would have to delay it do you wait a couple weeks away for him to be a you know a symptomatic test negative make sure everyone has to decide all those things in it all right gosh it's going to be for it it's gonna be crazy together and thinking about all that right they have to be they had what if lebron gets scolded nineteen do shut down the leader do you keep going and I think you could go in as long as just lebron if it's fifteen people right spread across different teams then you probably have to stop yeah I you probably there's some level of right where this yes because teens and twenty guys get it then you're worried about a pandemic the sweeping through the NBA and killing NBA basketball players you'd want you'd probably stop so the end that you know like they they they're the way they're changing the seasons up you know trying to be basically half season for baseball where site media games and hockey only five percent pay yeah so I don't know that ever happens because players aren't pleased now they're not happy about it and I will say it's an interesting approach to fight about money in the middle of this yes it is a hard thing to take your your answer you get thirty eight million people out of work yeah hi you're like you know what version point nine I work at two nine million cross the street you dollars but on the other hand from the from the player's perspective I signed a contract yeah to play the sport yeah I will make it forty thousand a year though you don't understand the guy who won't play for three million dollars a year it's tough it's a tough one you need to really make sure who is talking about that who was that that smelled like snow yeah it was it was it was my make seven a half million and I think he was talking about working for two point five you're like okay you won't do that he said it's not worth it for not worth it he's a guy who's going to get you make zero if you don't play it all right but he's a guy with who has a future where he's gonna be making probably twenty million dollars a year and is it a risk going back and risk it really more than you know I don't know it's like risking injury for two point five million dollars for him is probably not sensible financially B. however you have to take context into the equation here here in the middle of a big of a pandemic we were people are have been locked in their homes thirty eight million people are out of work at some point you just say look I would have dreamed to play a half season in the major leagues for two point nine million dollars my entire life until a probably a couple years ago yes maybe I suck it up here and just go for it they lose that perspective I thank but like think about this but you go back to your of mere Major League Baseball player you don't eat your thinking of yourself you nothing about the average person what's the best thing for your situation and you know what you think well I'll go back and this first time I've got muscle soreness I'm out I can't pitch I'm hurt like are you guys faking injuries there's gonna be guys who are you know I have a minor surgery that I could get or play this season screw it I'm getting the surgery in stand alone they're gonna have to pay me anyway and then I don't race I don't have this risk associated that everyone's going to do that but that's gonna happen all this stuff is crazy I mean it when you think about him there's a huge story today about how tons of companies they they they one of the traffic which insurance company nationwide maybe in a short of saying that the work at home thing is working so well for us we're gonna go from twenty of nationwide offices hubs to four oh wow twenty four because I was working at home is working out fine so we're like whatever's gonna keep going with that a ton of companies are gonna find out that you know we really we can do we need this giant building right but what we have a twenty floors of this building when we have one floor of this building yeah you know why Manhattan that's already an issue yeah commercial real estate is going to be a real concern big time you know because a lot of these companies can do they have found out it works pretty well yeah we're doing okay a second seven around here who who's normally in the office and and and came in just be randomly to pick up a couple things and it's like it's just working great for us at home like if it were able to be really productive it's even the focus that I have to worry about all these side conversations I'm coming in and having with everybody who's passing by yeah it's the opposite the very opposite of what was in fashion a few years ago which was the open office rera or every single meeting we have everything you do should be in full view of everyone so you can always now and I've always hated that we was a big plus I'm glad for that because he loves the open office thing but like if this is the total opposite right yeah no one knows anything or has any idea what you're doing I have no idea what the productivity levels are you know a good nationwide when it comes to business the whole change of society when you look around where about the only ones who come into the studio yeah it's just us ten people here maybe on a daily basis like me many times to people who helped him get the show on the air few others but it's interesting because when you look around it eight any media they're always at home yeah third home almost everybody I do think tell me you think I'm wrong on this but I think at some level it's become a virtue signaling thing but yeah I'm I'm at home I'm being responsible right like why wouldn't you let's say you're you're you've got the year it running the Stephen Cole bear show or John Oliver right you can go to this facility or you could retrofit up a part of his ten thousand square foot house to make it actually into a studio right like so it doesn't look like he's on Skype right like this would not be difficult for any of these come down to the in a way they're just virtue signaling like look at us we're in this with you we are in this with you to see there's a bookcase behind he's in his basement right now just like you are yeah well in our basement we all right now are the same now sure cases fourteen stories tall yes but yeah I'm just like you and it's in a five story library it's in my home but don't notice that there's some video take it very seriously to the camera I think is Bob and David for Mister show they did a reunion thing for charity and and put this the very last part of it though it seems weird al and he's very dramatically sing just have to look into the camera it is an easy ends it with we're all in this together and they just pans and he just realized he's in this ridiculous mansion in the Hollywood Hills overlooking Los Angeles intentional slow plans show that he's not in it with you at all yes the guys make a parody song it is a multi millionaire has no connection to your life at all okay that is that's the truth that's got a thirty million dollar mansion in the Hollywood Hills I I have no I do not begrudge him at all but like gather with you now this is the Glenn Beck program getting a fresh "In January exits drink nog. Yeah. Okay. Without the yes. One eight one eight five six six four seven eight nine. So we'll be bringing back the moist line people in just three days with the holiday theme around it back to the caravan. The people who are all piled up Deanna. And by the way, this story. I was reminded of when I read this paragraph in the Elsa does time story. You're one of the writers is that that Kate litho. Come she? I remember her when we covered occupy LA she interviewed us. Yes. And she completely didn't get it. Or had an agenda view, Jay El Segundo times writer covering occupy. Now, they sent her to cover the border along with a couple of other reporters, they filed a story we told you yesterday that there's some sort of sports complex where a lot of the migrants who made the caravan trek are waiting to be processed to get into the United States. And I was reminded when I saw this sentence of the super dome after the Katrina hurricane. Oh, yeah. Yeah. Crowded with tencent smells strongly of sewage that was occupied too. Occupy to right. But that was outdoor that was that Dory's. Yeah. This is this is indoors. Just like indoor sports complex or smelled strongly of sewage. Oh, people think they're in San Francisco. They would. Oh, anyway, the stories a hoot, by the way, again, usually what they do is they cherry pick, and they find very sympathetic people to talk to including the one guy that apparently got struck by a tear gas canister canister. And apparently, he's got crutches bandages all over his head in his shoulder. Henry Jose Juarez and from El Salvador, I'm like, well, what were you doing that? Will you throw in any rocks? What was he asked that he was sixteen? He was hitting the head and the canister exploded, and it will comedian go to school sixteen should be in high school. I know they have high schools in Honduras, and he says there's not a lot of work in my country, and it pays very badly. We just came to work. Well, again, you coming to work, you don't qualify for asylum that you got bad information from the left-wing organizers, I would have said, well, we understand that a group of agitators broke off from the main caravan and made their way towards the border fence, and they started throwing stuff were you part of that group. I'd like to know that. But now it's just seems like an innocent guy got struck by canister. Whoa. He must have been close if he would have. As long did. He was he was part of the group that stormed the wall, I'm guessing he was, but it's not mentioned by the wrong. How would the tear gas canister hit us? It doesn't fit the agenda. Hit him in the head. He must have been close. You would think. So if he was sitting in the sports complex sewage. Fine. According to a new survey from El Universal one of Mexico's biggest newspapers seven and ten Mexicans have a negative view about the arrival of the migrant families more than half. Fifty two percent supported blocking them from entering the country without legal documents what which now wait a minute. That seems very unwelcoming here on giving Tuesday. You know, what made him laugh with it? And now Debbie see now she was angry an hour ago. This is universal though. This is like Hillary Clinton pointing out to all the left wing nuts in Europe that your integration policies are ruining the political climate in Europe, all these right wing parties are getting more and more power because you let all these immigrants in right? And you get you get seventy percent of this country is generally against unrestricted illegal immigration seventy percents Mexico's against it. This one issue unites the world in no country. Do you want a surge of illegal immigrants, no country, it doesn't exist? Everybody's writing in Europe over it people in America are upset. That's how Trump became president believe that immigration. Trump doesn't get near the presidency. That was the issue that that that set the fire now you had Mexicans protesting in the street over legal immigration. These leaders ought to take the hint. Nobody wants this. Everybody wants to keep their country culture, language and traditions as is and about half fifty two percent oppose giving work visas to the Central American migrants. Now, come on. There you go there racist and xenophobic. They can't be right because they're also possibly immigrants art part of it is too. There's a racial angle to this. Because a lot of the lighter skinned Mexicans, consider themselves Spanish and the darker skinned Mexicans and Hondurans. Are more indigenous, and there's actors actually, you know, a pecking order there is a rivalry there. Yeah. Oh, just like a lot of places in the world. There just seems to be this this situation that occurs, and it's it's happy. It's happened in Mexico to the lighter skinned people discriminate against the darker skinned people, especially the ones from foreign countries. Mexico can commit the same sins that we do here. When we come back. We'll turn our attention to the fire news, and I love this is almost laughable. Legislators will take a closer look at the civic gas and electric coming out of the big campfire that destroyed paradise really now. And we'll talk about what they've already tried to do which was a failure coming up. John and Ken KFI. And Debra Mark has news LA county sheriff Jim McDonald says he is not sure what happened that cost him. The election MacDonald is the first incumbent sheriff in LA county to lose a reelection bid in one hundred years. He says one issue could have been his campaign message wasn't clearly communicated the voters to show what we were able to accomplish in four years that it was a work in progress that we had much work to do. But we were going exactly in the right direction. But he says he looks forward to what lies ahead, I'm very thankful to the people of Los Angeles County for your confidence and your support over these many years, Alex via will be sworn in as the new sheriff next week at the hall of Justice in downtown LA Corbin Carson KFI. "So their own battle just to stay relevant. Right. And so this would be a stay relevant. So good job son don't forget about us. Yeah, you got Jimmy Butler. Yeah, that's our break in case of emergency Jimmy Butler trait. We're just basically at this point we're living in fear in between episodes because everyone's waiting word for Jimmy Butler going from Minnesota, Arizona because that's like a big climate change. You have some post nasal drip going, some allergies. He'll be all try. He is it dry heat, but still like the temperature change. That's, you know, that's not fit for man. Did you see the the rumor that he didn't show up to media day? Instead, he went to just like a twenty four hour fitness in play pickup hoops. Good. Be hilarious. Just walk in one day and have Jimmy Butler be like, yeah, I'm here. Dunk on every I would turn and walk read. I would do. That all day, if I was a professional athlete, I would just spend all day just dumping on people, random people. It would be amazing. It would be not even if I was if I could just dunk. Yeah, I would just go to gyms a lot more. I said the other day when we we had, I can't remember what the context was like, what would you do if you're rich? And I decided if I was rich, if I were rich, I would just build a sports complex at my house and just hire people to come in. Let me dominate them in sports and to pretend that they were bad. Yes, we'll know they, that's what John Doe. You can't pretend you to be Justin Bieber. No, they can't pretend they're bad. Well, I'm not talking about hockey. I'm just talking about real snow. He. Have you ever seen his mix tape playing basketball? Yes, sure. And his, he wanted his skateboarding shit. You all eat bro? Yeah, he's got a bunch of chumps around him. Lay down while he does. Yeah. He like dribbles the ball off his foot. Damn Bieber me on that. Trust me meal. Yeah, yes. So, yeah, that's fun. Do you want to be Justin Bieber? That's fun. That actually sounds awesome. Remember when we in LA and we're, we're on that basketball court outside of the hotel that we're in and we may have. Indulgent, some legal activities? Yes. Is it as Sonny digital says, we does not a drug, not a drug. We may have indulged, and then we played some hoops and we thought they were bad ass because we're like inclusive, dunking, I think dumped a tennis ball out there. And then we were like, oh shit. This was like nine and a half years. So high. We didn't realize this Not is not. not half. It was nine. It's basically ten feet. It was not, and I almost done. You will get your close. I know it talked to go. Yeah, you're close is not. It was like eight is no nine and a half. It was actually a mini hoop. Was a mini hoop on the back of a door? No, it was. It was nerve. It was. It was one of those pool basketball hoops in the pool next. Yeah, it was. It was one of those hoops you had as a kid where you're thirty laundries get your, your parents are like, hey, yeah, put your dirty laundry in the hamper, and it was a sign, making it a hoot. Yeah, it was a soccer and I was really, I thought it was outside. All right, Hank grab bag. Let's do it. This one's from personal explained to Hank, but I'm not sure if we'd done this already, but three d. printers ho. That's actually a good one. I don't know how you can make a gun, right? Yeah, you actually, I think that's probably what you should do if you have a three d. printer. Yeah, make a gun. So first thing she's plastic, right? Yeah, it's it's plastic, different types of polymers. I don't know what a polymer is, but it sounds right. Yeah, that does sound right. How expensive fucking replacing a cartridge on a three d. printer must be having this ri- who has printers. Actually, I was thinking about this. I kind of want to get back in the printing out articles and reading them game. Yeah, especially because if you do have a printer house, the only time you ever use it is. If you're like changing apartments and signed a new lease. Right. Exactly..

"You're listening to WTMJ conversations, I'm Steve we're talking to Mike Zimmerman chief executive. Officer rock ventures how did. We get here how did the, rock sports complex, get developed and ballpark comments a significant project on the southside of Milwaukee county so you on the landfill you've now have this new development the rock complex talk about that and and the walk me through the. Stages because even this was some of, it was, inherited right that the, ski hill that was there before walk me through that process as, we move forward so so the rock sports complex, again this is as I said, earlier it was my. Wife and I are attempt to give back right and I just wanted, to build one, baseball field but my background is private equity so I sat down I, did, research, in one baseball. Field turned into a sports entertainment district if you will And I saw this movement? You know six seven years ago towards us tourism and if, we if we were going to do something in. Our own community the biggest. Thing that we want to do, is want to, make sure it was sustainable right so he wants to the business plan had to be really robust so yeah the rock sports complex when I decided I wanted to do this I took it to walkie county. Parks and their initial reaction sue black, is was, the purse director at, the time and suggests fell in love with it so I would, say the reaction from Suez let's let's do this, I originally was trying to convince. Them on different property. Over at Milwaukee county sports complex and sue convinced me to do it. In the landfill Not an easy sell it wasn't but she you know she's she's, a good salesperson. And she said you know if, you really want to make, a difference, in, the community you live in what. About this place, called Krystal ridge which frankly it was complete eyesore in the, city it was sort of the armpit of Franklin and I said okay so you've convinced, me? To do it on the landfill so you you get this idea. Herod this, the ski hill and. You kind of expanded out into some allow, a lot of different features but there were some other steps. Here you have to work with some of the other communities there was also issues with some. Of the other great talk talk about some, of those yes rock. Sports complex actually that approval process really quick and it got pitched the idea I wanna, say may in may we're moving like six months later Okay But it was really fun for me because we got to pick the fields and each one of these fields that we've got eight replica of a major league, baseball so so that was. Fun there's so we've, got we've got to smaller fields in four. Large I'm the smaller fields who got the brewers in the. Cardinals we picked those fence lines because there's not a lot of jagged edges to, it so we can also play girls softball, there but on the field who wanted some unique. Characteristics so we picked. Fenway that's an obvious rate. Pirates we liked a lot get giants than. Phillies did you travel around and look at the? Ballpark just familiar with? Them, yeah, I I've gone to almost all of, those but this was fun as we got to look at the aerial. View so you get to see the fence lines and all sorts of nooks and, crannies and that's that's how we picked. It we thought that those were the most of unique footprints if you, will and then we built them to. Spec it's. Ninety two percent of whatever field was synthetic turf synthetic infield infield outfield is is natural. Turf Yeah great drainage so it's got it's got. A Nerdy stuff but it's got six. Six inches of root zone next drainage underneath it and then the these Saad you had to get it from Assad firm that. Also produces two major. League baseball parks all over so that was fun so the side we've got is in the same Saad that Miller park uses and other major league parks of, the other, elements that people. Might know about us of? Course famous umbrella borrow when? Did that come about what was the, idea there, the. Rock is at got great sidelines. Great topography it it sits next to a park. So we used to be when we got there. There was a, BMX traffic, sort of sat up and I said you know I'd love to put a sports bar, up here than we did, the math on it. And because, it's a landfill it got. Really expensive so again pulling inspiration on a steamboat they had a this thing called the. Umbrella Barham like I. Bet that would work well so we. Did that put it there and it's not, open I. Was hoping. I could get it open, four seasons it doesn't we close it in November. But describe it to. People that haven't seen. It, I've been out there it's, it's pretty spectacular yeah it's a open air. Concept so it is exactly what it sounds. Like. It's a. Very large umbrella, probably fits maybe Eighty people in the bar in all of the at least eighty percent of the windows if you. Will the doors dog. Lassie opened up in a nice day we opened the whole thing up and then it's a huge patio and go other small satellite umbrella that firepit up there, and then, just just great. State lines and then we? Also program a bunch of? Things every Saturday we had a concert, series that, we. Do up there which is a. Lot of fun and then we community reaction to. The to that whole complex well so depends who. You ask right, that's like, a lot of things yeah I would say the majority of people really they love it, they you know especially the, Franklin nights I wouldn't. I wouldn't, be honest if I didn't. Say that there's a few people that don't don't like it what's what's the critics say. The critics say it's. The it's the people that are probably. Most affected too right so it's things that, it's like. Noise and. Light so in that's been, widely documented with certain folks in greenvale and then. Even some of our. Neighbors and Franklin that. Are, really close to the property. You know where we've got lights on we. Had to put shields on on our lights We've had to install monitoring devices that measure. Decibel levels so. But yeah I mean the the naysayers I would say. In rightfully so right if you live close to this complex your and you don't love you know all of the activity. You're gonna you know you're gonna take. Issue with the classic not in my backyard if. People like to go to these types of things they don't necessarily, want one in their backyards you, flush all this out and I've been out there that the stonework, around the umbrella bar you. Host? Events other you mentioned the concerts. The, reaction now seems to be one of acceptance. Right the communities. Accepted, it and, it is one of, those kind. Of gathering places when you talk about sports and entertainment that's really a great example of it yeah. No I mean I'd say? Ninety percent of people have, accepted it eighty percent are really excited obviously you. Know? They're still naysayers out there I got to execute. Right so and there's there were concerns about the landfill landfill, so we had navigate that but yeah it's is a great it's a great asset for, the for the city we program very. Locally during the during the week we got games Between two hundred games year so, locally it's it's a second largest adult hardball. League the United States guys, playing baseball and then we we transition on the weekend determined model so kids are. Coming, from two hundred fifty. Mile radius to play ball here and that's really, neat? Because I get to, talk to parents and coaches and come up and say well how unique this places and didn't. Know it existed and they're coming back. Next. Year. So that's, a you know bringing people outside of Franklin to. To see this appreciate it. Is, something I, really enjoy coming up next. On WGN j. conversations, all, of that together Steve general generally about six hundred thousand. Visitors a year and that's. Really tracked, it to retail ballpark. Comments what's involved what does it look like what's. That gonna feel like as a new baseball team. Comes to Milwaukee Hey gene Miller here you've heard me in the past talking directly to heating and. Air conditioning texts Welker. Having a fantastic Thursday wherever you may go a fun day yesterday I was, walking all over DC and I went to college, up here at George, Washington, University and, I'm speaking on, a campus there's like on. Campus today when I finish the show eight, hundred college kids up here are high school kids up here for a big event and I don't how often you. Guys get to go back to places you might have gone. To school but it's a pretty nostalgic experience I'm starting to get to. Be an old man. I'm thirty Nine now and so it was almost was over twenty years, ago just a little bit that I started college up here and it's amazing when you walk around in, Washington DC how much this city. Has boomed from a sports complex sports position and. Everything else Yeah I spent a lot of time like I, said? Walking around all over this city and when I was up here for, those of you have been to DC before in DC gets a rap I think, is a, bad sports town because there's so many people. Who are, from different parts of the, country right they come here and they continue, to root for their own local teams even though they move in here and there's not. Necessarily that many people who are you know, local to certainly the the DC area specifically I mean just at very transient population. A lot awesome place to to spend time but the Washington Redskins or the straw that stirs the drink here, in in this market everybody cares about the Redskins quite a bit but I, was here, and my, first year they opened up the new downtown arena. And I do think there's a lot of talk about what's the impact of sports on a community and water, the overall benefits and drawbacks for money that can be, spent on new facilities new stadiums new arenas the arena that they built and downtown In DC. Has to be one of the best success stories in the history of public and, team sponsorships, to build arenas now the wizards play there. And that's, not a success story but, the wizards have never been very good so, going all the way back to the Chris Webber Juwan Howard days when you thought hey. There's no doubt that this seems going to, be eventually really good they played the Jordan era balls back in the day in. Bed and Jordan said hey I think this team is going to be pretty good Rod Strickland everything fell apart, after that and the wizards have never really been very good even now in, the days, with John, wall and Bradley Beal and everybody else The caps finally won a, championship for the first time in a quarter. Century to win a championship for the DC area both the caps and the wizards play, in, their arena I gotta tell you I been all over the country. For places where they have built arenas and seen the idea in the impact of, a, downtown arena I'm not sure there's anywhere in the country. That has. Seen more revitalization that has, seen more of a growth area around there arena if you're in DC for the summer if you bring your kids up here I. Mean I remember going to games, it, was called the MCI center now then what is it now the Verizon center everybody changes names a bunch of different times but used to be worried about walking, around that arena late at night I mean there was nothing there you. Couldn't go get a beer you couldn't go go go to a sports bar and watch other games and now it's almost become the center of the DC entertainment nightlife and I. Think it's just a great example of what team partnerships with. The city when it's very forward thinking back. In the day aid Poland I believe was the owner of the wizards who made that decision that I'm going to build. This arena and twenty years later when I'm walking around. In DC the amount, of change in a generation in this city is pretty staggering and I think the wizards and the caps have been a big part. Of that change because they bought into the idea of coming back into downtown DC and putting down roots and I think the city. Has certainly benefited as a result so, it's an awesome experience get to walk Around go all over the venues. That where you went to to to college. And just walk around, the same streets Bill buildings wanna changes again George Washington University. I'm, speaking later today as soon? As we finish, the show that's why I'm up here in, DC now that's kind of what's going on with me what's going on. With the, NFL this couple of. Clips that I thought were outstanding. And I want. To start with the fun one and by the way, giving you a roadmap where we're headed we're going to talk to. Peter Schrager good morning football and the NFL network also sidelines for Fox Sports with NFL training camps opening. Backup he's gonna join us here, in, the next segment in a few minutes but I want to get his read on this Jimmy Garoppolo of course went out with porn star Carre Maria not Cari, Maria I think that's the girl from the challenge and road rules something. Like that right Kierra Mara Kira Maria or something anyway her name's not really that important although her her traffic on the internet went up I think thirty eight thousand percent after. She dated Jimmy g. he was asked about it I want. You guys to listen to this and then Let's breakdown here's the clip of Jimmy g., asked about taking a porn star out to dinner life is different now my life off. The field I've never really been big on you know I've been very public with things you know even social media I'm not out there. On but my. Life's, looked at differently I'm under. A microscope and Cowesett a good, learning experience Just have him in it is what it is all, right he said it's a? Good learning experience is that is that when you go out with a porn star the, most did he win something by getting that phrase, in there or is it totally innocent I wanna pull the. People in. In the studio quickly out in LA totally innocent statement or. Was, he, was he. Gigging everybody by? Saying going, out with a porn star was a great learning experience totally innocent it's so much better if he gigged them on purpose already Danny. Jeez totally innocent what about you Justin Cooper just you got a thought on the key because I know coop has done a lot of. Extensive research, on sets of research on he's part of the thirty eight, percent thirty eight thousand percent that her internet. Traffic has increased since they. Went out or I? Don't know I mean if, it's probably no coincidence that she usually plays a mom so there's a lot of teaching going, on I'm sure, Milford mill central what about your. Burto is, that an intentional, statement or do you think, he just because that when I. Heard that I was like my God that's such a Yeah I I feel like I I don't know. If it's. Not intentional then it just makes me question Jimmy Jeevan more. Because, you, know what's. Gonna like you? Have that, kind of scripted out and you deadpan that I think it's an awesome line to drop out all right the other controversy surrounding the. NFL continues rate Jerry Jones came out and had to address the anthem controversy because it's never gonna go away here's what Jerry Jones said. About the, anthem controversy is interest and what we're doing is problematic from, my chair and I would say in general. The owners share unprecedented if. You really think about? It but lack the very game itself that's the way it is and we'll deal with we feel strongly about how we, deal with it And Will do so. Accordingly but, yes I'd like everybody would like to go. Away that's Jerry. Jones, obviously when he said it's, unprecedent he's talking about the president of the United. States, obviously I'm here in DC in Donald Trump's involvement in continuing to tweet about and talk about the NFL's anthem. Policy so that's Dallas Cowboys, owner Jerry Jones who was asked about, it and he basically, said, look Dallas Cowboys have a. Policy you stand for the national anthem and we'll see whether that gets any more attention or people are just like I, said ready for this, story you'd be. Gone and Jerry Jones is basically telling you what his policy is is an owner and either you can agree with it or disagree with it so far we haven't had any Dallas Cowboys disagreeing with it in in public in any. Way all. Right we're going to talk next with my. Guy Peter Schrager at piece rates on. Twitter he's going to join us NFL. Network FOX sideline. Reporter we will talk with him about both these stories and also the NFL training camp starting who he's confident in who he's not confident in all that, Moore I'm clay Travis live from..
