"You had to put in a little effort to find what you were looking for, but these like unbelievably cool communities existed in before they got bought up or like before there wasn't a reasonable path forward for them with ad revenue or whatever. They were like, they were like online magazines, essentially, but had these communities and video and photo in like, it was so rad to be like new schoolers was popping at the time. We had like, I remember like, you know, thousands of members would be online at like 8 p.m. Eastern Time on like a Tuesday. Yeah. And it would be the forums would be like every post would have like recent comments. And you see it on the sidebar. Online. Real professionals are here. They're online. In communicating. And that's another thing. Yeah, you were engaging with skiing, freestyle skiing is like a pretty niche community. Like pretty small in the grand scheme of action sports communities and stuff, but it was like I can't think of many other forums many other sub communities of skateboarding surfing, mountain biking. You know, pink bikes are great example because we can get into that after this. But yeah, new schoolers was like the Tom Walsh was on there. Totally. All these pro skiers were on there engaging with it. The kid came up through the website. Some of these kids emerged just because they were members and making videos. And that is to me is like the coolest, it just experienced to have had and I'm so thankful for that site for existing and for one allowing me to build a career out of it. I guess you could say I was the same thing just on the media side of finding my fit through it and feeling like a part of a community. And then growing my craft having an audience to share it with and then getting recognition through it and carrying on to where I am today..

Abraham Lincoln Said the Only Thing That Could Destroy Us Is Us

"Shall we expect some transatlantic military giant to step the ocean and crush us with one blow? Never All the armies of Europe, Asia and Africa combined. With all the treasure of the earth except our own. In their military chests. With Bonaparte for a commander could not by force, take a drink from the Ohio or make a track on the Blue Ridge. In a trial of 1000 years. At what point then. Is the approach of danger to be expected. I answer. If it is ever to reach us, it must spring up amongst us. It cannot come from abroad. If destruction be our lot. We must ourselves be its author and finisher. As a nation of free men. We live Through all time. Or die by suicide. And he wraps up With The rest of the admonition and you can read that for yourselves. But To sum this up. Abraham Lincoln gave us this morning and he said, this country comes down because we'll take it down ourselves. Mark Levin wrote the book, American Marxism. Because he clearly articulates But that's happened where here doesn't mean the country is Over. It means they've gotten a footing and we can't play games anymore. It is no longer a spectator sport. This is critically important. I think it's it's important that we realize these things again. What Lincoln said. And he said it in 18 38 is so apt

How the Wokeness Is Killing the Simple Joy of Sports

"I caught up on this, Uh 30 for 30, ESPN special at the 1986 Mets, the World Series team. Jim is a big Mets fan producer, Jim and he had told me this is such a great show. You got to watch it. So I sat down for four hours. I couldn't turn away the 1986 Mets, and it reminds me I was a Yankees fan, not a Mets fan, but I was very happy to Mets won the 1986 World Series. I was a kid and I was I was 12. I mean, you know, I'm not thinking about solving the world's problems at 12 years old. But I was happy for them. My mom was a Mets fan and that stunning World Series victory, of course with the Bill Buckner era and it's a real shame, because you know, Bill Buckner is such a great player and became You know, it's infamous for that one plane he shouldn't have. He was such a great player throughout his career. I mean, it was just right. Jim Buckner was a great hitter. I mean, if phenomenal player and it's really a shame that a lot of people just associated with that one moment But I watched that upset victory. The Mets come back in the ninth, and I remember just losing my mind being so happy for my mom and she was screaming, jumping up and down and this guy Phil's house we were at it was a friend of Of hers at the time. But Comey thinking How mad I am now. I don't mean like man at the world are mad at you. I mean mad at what the sports world. Dead. I had such special memories and I was a kid sports. I did I, uh, you know those moments. You you all know. I mean, if your guys ladies out there you were at a game with your dad or your mom or whatever, and home run gets hit in the beard gets thrown in the air and everything like that. People throw and popcorn, peanuts, crackerjacks all over the place. Whatever. Everybody's just going nuts together something about the collective energy of the crowd. Sports brings us that. It's a form of entertainment. You don't see that the movie theater, right? I mean, very rarely in a movie theater. You know, you're not watching, like return to the Jedi, where Luke Skywalker throws Darth Vader over the thing, and everybody gets up in cheers. That just doesn't happen. But it happens in sports, right and those moments I missed them. I've been, uh, stranger to sports for the last few years because of the Wokeness and I just don't want to. It's just not my thing. I just can't take it and I'm really mad. Like many of you are There's a special moments to me. I remember every second of that 1986 Mets World Series. I remember there was sitting at the end of the couch on the right side. And this guy Phil's house watching that And that feeling of elation and joy. Why'd you have to take that from us?

"And the cowboys got that win. They did the. Nfl was a nailbiter seats. Wermer and i'm trying to think of other things you could apply to the cowboys first win of the season and it is here by the way we'll sort of like the open. It came down to the last few seconds that was greg's airline who was the goat. And i'm not talking about the greatest of all time. He was the goat after missing two field goal attempts to previous week against the buccaneers and appoint after temp but he was able to get it done yesterday. He lives in a he lives another week. And he's the guy. I mean he's he. He's a really good kicker. Although his quarterback dak prescott was Having to kind of watch from the sidelines go please please. Yes he kicked it. I mean Y'all's over there. Talking to omar checking on amar somewhat. Just trying to get my mind off of it. I guess obviously known in situation like that. You trust the teams and greg's are lying to put it through But yeah. I mean it was great. Obviously believing him make anyone did that and it was just a relief right. I mean the first one. I one a many in the first ones usually the hardest now. I'm not going to get into specifics. But there were some issues with clock management down in that final drive. The cowboys had it back with three minutes and change to go a lot more time than tom brady. Had the previous week when it was less than two minutes to go. But mike mccarthy and i don't know what was going on with keller more in their communication but they wanted to get a little farther down the field than having kick fifty six yarder but zor line had with his leg. Greg leg had more than enough distance yesterday that it could have gone farther than that than that if they needed it. I just know that. CEO of X2, Mark French, on How His Product Has Disrupted the Market

"Now. A couple of questions. I have here for you one. Is you guys are operating this business. And i would say that it is. It is disruptive what you're doing from what i can tell. The brand seems to be disruptive. What do you accredit the the rapid growth to do. What do you attribute the rapid growth to why is it. Being such a disruptive success. I would say there's more people coming to the category now right so there's certain people that would never try an energy drink right that more health conscious consumer really was not interested in putting in other bodies some of these beverages that had you know some you know ingredients that you can't even pronounce so as more people. Are you know looking for energy solutions. Whether it's a coffee drinker. That wants something. A little bit cleaner lighter Or you know somebody that might be drinking other energy drinks but is trying to live a healthier lifestyle. You know. i think that's really where the disruption comes in also. There's never really been a brand that you know was built in the locker room in this energy category right so you know. We're really fortunate that Death net recently featured us as a sports drink. Innovator we're not really a sports drink. We're not a hydration drink or something that you might take Before you want to do some exercise or if you wanna just have a little bit more energy and focus throughout the workday but you wanna have it with clean healthy ingredients and you know the other reason why people might consider us to be somewhat. Disruptors is just because of you know this athlete a model. there really haven't been athletes like saquon. Barkley labonte david kawhi leonard and now kendall tool who's one of the top peleton athletes That are joining a company like ours as shareholders and partners in the business. I think it's just you know shedding some light that there is renovation innovation in the energy category and that's where we could probably be looked at as being somewhat

Tackling Cattle, Biting Kneecaps: The Detroit Lions' Cowboy Coach

"So kristen eck. We've got to start the story in january of this year at dan campbell's introductory press conference. I wanted this job bad. Because i felt like i knew this community i played here all right on. Everything's seemingly normal and then things get a bit more interesting. I can sit up here and give you coach. Speak all day long. I can give you You know. Hey we're gonna win this many game. I can't that none of that matters in you. Guys don't want to hear it anyway. You've had enough of that shit. So excuse my language then. He drops his magnum opus. So this is going to be built on. We're gonna kick you in the teeth all right and when you punch us back. We're going to smile at you and when you knock us down we're going to get up and on the way up we're going to buy to kneecap off all right and we're going to stand up and then it's going to take two more shots you cover the team for the athletic. What was your reaction to this. I mean i think like everyone else. I was sort of just in shock for a few minutes. Just trying to figure out where he was going with everything but as we'll talk about. I'm sure that was very much dan campbell. I think the people who know him weren't all that surprised to hear that speech from him. It was funny to hear you know brad. Homes in new. General manager was introduced at the same time and he said several times since. I'm glad i got to go first. Because i don't think i could follow that up but i i think that that's you know that's what you get from dan campbell and i think that's what they wanted from dan campbell. They wanted some energy and some authenticity. And i think the fan base really responded to it. I don't know how the players necessarily took it or people in the general public but for this particular fan base. I think it went over pretty well. Neko ear thoughts when you heard it a big pro wrestling fan l. admission here and that's what that was a professional wrestling promo is having talked to him since talking all these guys for the story like he didn't planet it wasn't scripted. It was something that he said and you can kind of tell because he when he said the kneecaps thing he did it like exclaim it he just sort of set it like the most nonchalantly normal way is like to. We're going to play when your kneecaps off. And then he just kept going to the next point. It's like this is just what this guy. This is off the cuff. You could kind tell. The Zach Wilson Era Is off to a Disastrous Start

"So let's talk about zack wilson. Because you mentioned him and watching him lose twenty five to six at home to the patriots and bill ballot check and bill. Bella check destroys rookie. Quarterback's he consumes them. He picks their bones. That's all stuff that we know already cleans. His teeth with the bones of rookie quarterback is what he does but we saw jets fans alex. You know throwing in the towel and it's week two. And i say that because they were literally throwing souvenir tales from the stands. And zach wilson. The four picks. I'm curious about climbing into your memory bank here because what do you. Alex smith remember about playing the colts back in two thousand and five pablo. I've definitely tried to forget this one all right but we're good. I do remember my first career. Start the number one defense at the time and like the colts were in their heyday. Payton was rolling. But that defenseman dwight free robert matt Bob sanders. i mean it was. It was a joke and yeah. It's all a terrible blur for me. Like four picks i think my rating was it like it was a disaster but i think that was a clear design i was i just turned twenty one. I mean i played only two years in college in a spread system now trying to plan their center. Probably this become this pro quarterback whatever that is and It was not good. I was definitely i. I felt unprepared. And it was a disaster and it showed. You've been a guy who had a four interception game really early after being a top. Pick your the number one overall pick of course. What do you counsel him. Hypothetically what do you stay to him after a game like this if you were to visit him. Alex smith kind of like a ghost of christmas future. What do you. What do you tell a kid who's very talented but also just had a day like this. I think exactly that. I mean i think you gotta go like for me. I just go to the third and fourth picks that he grew and pause before the snap and look look like jack. It's ten to three on this one. It's in the third quarter we got. There's a ton of football left. There's no reason to throw this ball up The way he did and then even the second one in the fourth grade. I mean i think it was thirteen to three. At that point. There is still time. Left like again I think going back to just doing your

Panthers' Matt Rhule Is Making a Bid for Best NFL Coach This Season

"I wanna talk about the best young coach football. And it's not necessarily sean mcveigh. It's clear that it's not only an indictment on the new york jets operation. But what you're seeing was sam darnold in the carolina. Panthers is pretty remarkable the knock on darnold out of college there to know with too comfortable wins but the knock on darnold out of college and i watched every snap was his accuracy issues. What does he completing now. Seventy percent of his throws. He doesn't make mistakes total composure. It would be easy to just say. This is an indictment on the jets but instead of just the negative side. Let's look realistically at the positive side. Not only has met rule made darnold more comfortable. This defense has twenty one quarterback hits and ten sacks in two games. What does that tell you. The culture of the carolina. Panthers is headed in the right direction. It also tells you. This is a remarkable stat on matt rule. The coach carolina going back to the beginning of last year. You will not believe this. Carolina leads the nfl with the fewest. Three and outs that with teddy bridgewater and start with. Sam darnold. nothing about that not mahomes. Not lamar jackson. Not tom brady. Not derek carr not matt ryan not russell wilson not aaron rodgers. No the fewest three and outs matt rule. Teddy bridgewater and sam darnold but this is a offensive line. That outside of right tackle graded poorly left. Tackle all the way to right guard. What matt rule is doing with this sub optimal often. It's of line. The scarce number of three out the revamping rebooting of sam darnold is really mind-blowing

AXS to Deploy Biometric Amazon One Palm Readers at Entertainment Venues

"This is part of the show where I'd like to talk about future tech. Can it tell you what's going on? So I'm sure you've heard about the payment system called Amazon, one that allows you to buy things in stores where you just wave your hand over a scanner. It's pretty simple. You hold the palm of your hand with two inches above a biometric reader. And then what's the system verifies your ID? It charges the payment card that you have on file for whatever you're buying. And so you don't have any more checkout lines being using some Amazon whole foods stores. It's expanded. But it's expanding to this. Why bring it up to you? Stadiums and arenas? That's right. Um, no more tickets to get inside concerts or sporting events. Amazon's taking over everything, aren't they? You just scan the palm of your hand. It's being used for a company called Excess in Denver, Colorado at one of the kiosk at the Red Rocks and theater. Anyone coming to an event can enroll one or both. Palms just takes a minute and then you can just scan your palm at a reader to enter. Um, the Amazon. One system could they say, create a unique pump signature? All that other stuff, But Big Tech already knows a lot about us. I know a lot of people are worried about this, but the palm print is just one more thing. You know, Palm lines tell a lot about you. But your browser history? Mm says everything.

"Learned is like you're not. Everything's going to be perfect. 'cause you're gonna save money somewhere. So if you've saved money on your food, I wouldn't. At the end of the night, give people more food. 'cause they're going to be like, no, gimme a Dona. No, but you're not giving them, you're not giving them more like venue made food, giving them like a little treat pizza or like tree tree? Yeah, little tweet will will. Little. I feel we answered the question. Do you worry though that Donut is just a cake? No, and apple cider doughnut is they're not the same Etel. Okay. I think go for all of it, but Ashley's probably right. The amount of money you're gonna spend on the Mason jars in the pie, which get some great deal, not going to be worth it. Save that put it towards something else. So we'll go cake doughnuts and then a little bit of of a put up when when it's over, that make sense, right. That done. So do the cake, do the donuts. And then later in the night we little bit. Great. Put your, that's it for this week's dishes sports in which we talked about all the in sports. We sports this podcast. "I don't think cousins can dunk. He six, three vertical loves. Love Lord of the rings. Well, that's. That doesn't mean anything doesn't qualify you. That's true. Movies are long, and all that time is time spent not on the court Dunkin. Right? Yeah. And hobbits are really small too. So that is what he's not a hobbit. Famously not off it, not a habit. So with the elimination of Kirk cousins. I still have Matthews effort on my no list and you do that. Puts me at thirteen. Thirteen number pretty solid. Leading Carson. Wentz dunk. Yes. Wow, right away. Nothing but respect for her quarterback. You do. I do Nick, foles dunk? I know it's not relevant to this conversation just for my personal. No, no isn't super tall. Yeah, but I have still. No, that's memorize. No, I don't want you to have the memories just he's toll. I was just basic question. He's, of course he's tall, watched him play football for Super Bowl champion. So that adds like a taller than Carson Wentz. Got that Beatty. Yeah, big dunk energy. I'm so sorry. I have a question anyone's still there. I'm going to say, I think we all under under. It's going to be under twenty quarterbacks current starting quarterbacks that can dunk. Right? Yes. But I do think that Russell Wilson might be able to put he's corny, he so he's such a square God, this is I'm gonna think about this for weeks. I'm gonna think about this for weeks. How about this? How about if you have opinions on our opinions, which I know you do, you can call and leave us a voicemail or for or tweeted or something. And then maybe we revisit this topic because I do feel like there's a lot here and short of just reading numbers. There's probably some really interesting arguments to be made that I'm were. I'm not I'm getting stressed out about and I'm not making self. Anyone wants to help us out, but I do, I think under is safe under twenty. Yeah. So we're going to say under twenty. Yes, and we're gonna lose sleep over it. We being me like at least a week. I know that was voicemail, but this is technically the part where we go to another voice mail JD's to wanna, go to another voicemail. Sure. Great. So let's before we do that. What can you do this one? Like I haven't said it to us yet. Facebook has also brought to you by Iki cut. He? No, you. Okay. How about you? Do Patrick Mahomes. Oh, no. Okay. "We'll now we can the ones that we have solid proof of we can kinda use to inform the other ones. So like Derek Carr, six, three twenty seven years old, two hundred fifteen pounds. Thirty four and a half inch vertical. That's a high vertical that mean earn Rogers probably can cause he has thirty four and a half inch vertical, but he's also six to end. He's much older in ten pounds, heavier and heavier. So I think I still feel okay about saying Rogers can't. Especially because he's hurt right now a little bit, not at one hundred percent. That means Blake Bortles probably can. Kasese verticals only two inches shorter, but he's got. He's two inches tall, two inches taller. He's got some more weight, but it's distributed because he's taller. But then you've also got bring in like athleticism. Like Blake Bortles if it's good blink. You know what I mean? Yeah. You never know which Blake you're going to get at the dunk contest sway never entered. It was like, we don't know which Blake it is good. Blake, conduct bad. Blake, not even close. He's gonna brick it right. Technical term. Did we do James yet? We've kind of glossed over Janus just like the league. I noted Jamus well, here's the thing. James is tall, but he's also, but he's kind of bigger and his his verticals, not great. It was twenty eight and a half, and that was in twenty fifteen. But he also strikes me as the kind of guy that would be like I wasn't trying. Yeah, but then he wouldn't ever try. No, but he dunking makes you cool. And if James didn't dunk. He people like James. Not me people, so he must dunk. If people like him, you can't be like the leader of your team. The way he wants to be seen as the guy that's like gives the speeches and stuff. If someone if you were like playing, pick up basketball with your friends and he couldn't dunk. I think they'd laugh at him. I think that I think I just made a really good point. I think felt good. Like you can't be the guy that's like, hey, athletes gather around. I'm gonna talk to you. We're gonna do this, but he can't dunk feels like a guy that you have to be able to dunk certain confidence level. We know he has on well, I mean, jumps up onto tables. We've already established, Tom Brady, can't dunk? Yeah, Tom Brady doesn't grow. You think Tom Brady relates to people. When these the huddle, he's not talking to them like, I'm one of you. He's talking to them like, I'm really good at this. Do what I say. Same Ben Ben doesn't connect with his teammates at all. And I feel like if Ben could dunk, everyone would be like y'all fun fact Penn fact, he can dunk, but nobody says that. What you've got to think. The ones that are crazy. The ones are like I would could never see Eli manning, dunking. If he could dunk. The story would have come out by now because people team would've thought that was hilarious. You know what I mean? And so the ones who really can or should be able to if they couldn't a story would have come out by now that they can't. Am I making sense or did I smoke the we too early in that day. I still don't think Jameson dunk. Your point is a interesting one. That's your way of saying you still don't like it. I think he could, but will we don't have to agree on every one of them. We just need to decide if it's more than twenty or less than twenty. I would say they set one thing I will say to Brian Steve Bryan. Bryan I knew that is that he set the line. Well, twenty is a good line as the over under..

"Yep. And he's all uncontested? Yes. K, I just wanna make sure we're on the same page here. So interlock is. Hinge looks interesting. I know I wanna confidently say no, because he's Andrew luck, and I just think that he looked so funny dunking. But he's toll in his verticals really good. He had a thirty six inch vertical at the combine likely. He hasn't played in a while. So he's probably just been messing really. You know what Dr but his his injuries is shoulder is not. It is not reached overhead and in a basketball that alone eliminates interlock. We're talking right now. Quarterbacks can. Dunk luck cannot dunk right now. Right. Your logic is correct, but I don't feel good about it because I feel he could if he had to, you know, you gotta remember though he went to Stanford, what does that mean? I just don't picture them like playing a lot of basketball and don't picture him like hanging out. I picture picturing like reading in his spare time. Blake Bortles. Six, five, Jay, he tall. I feel like Blake, Blake, can Blake ball feel you feel like Blake can ball? Yeah, I do. Blake, bald -als. Sorry. Blake Griffin, what there's that's you know, a man named Blake Griffin is in the league and he can dunk, no feud. Think that person aim Blake, couldn't dunk. It really lively, probably can't. I'll texter. Very busy. I feel like I wish there was a formula. I could plug all these numbers into because I know that we're gonna mess this up pretty hard and get for it. But if you think about if the over unders twenty, we need to eliminate twelve. Let's talk about Mahomes. What was my Patrick? Mahomes voice do it again. Okay. That talker case talk about brushing. What is happening. What's. Six six hundred. Okay. Patrick won't. You can stop whenever you're ready. Six three ways to thirty thirty inch vertical disappointing. I did not think. I mean, it's not the worst, but it's not the best, but I'll tell you what, I'll tell you what, man, I think he can dunk. Just because he is that same Baker Mayfield glow. He's just like swaggie like he's just he's also very talented. He threw a ball with his left hand. That's enough for me. I feel like Patrick Mahomes. Duncan in high school? Yeah. On the internet. How katie's? Right again. Patrick Mahomes can dunk? Oh, it's it is he knocks guy down, go look it up. Everybody it is a mental look up, twelve dot com. Twelve up dot com. It's my homepage. K. some homes can dunk confirmed. So we just need to eliminate. Two more people, Kirk cousins. I feel like Ben Rothlisberger. Well, so your husband disputed that. Because Ben's tall, right? But he's fat. They don't call them spelt Ben. Which is the opposite. It is big and spelt the only those are clearly opposites. He didn't have his vertical measured at the combine. Not that it matters seventy five years ago, thirty six years old. It was two thousand four. What do we know about CJ Beth 'Red nothing. Well, his last name is beat hard. So we know one thing. Masturbate. Wow. I don't know enough about him, but you're right. We only have to eliminate a couple others. I feel like I would eliminate Ben Rothlisberger, Philip rivers, and is really, really tall. I'd still eliminate them. And you're limiting Philip rivers? Yes. Who's also relief really to all he's also really, really old that you're eliminating the oldest. I mean, the the tallest ones, they're also the oldest ones. Yeah, but I'm just saying take old numbers into into account. Okay. How about Sam darnold he's six, three, twenty six and a half inch vertical recent, very recently tested to twenty-five played high school. Basketball. He did show me him Dunkin, show me Tim Duncan, and then also show me Sam, darnold dunking. So I, I'd like to see a picture of Tim Duncan and then Photoshop picture bouncing stand darnold dunking. Can you produce these things? I don't have a dunk confirmation. I just have best carrot car. Probably. Can he tall anywheres eyeliner intimidated. Not I black. No. Literally looks like eyeliner. I wish I wish I could talk to Russell Wilson if so many questions. Can you dunk? I think to me this when it's easily the under because I'm confident Ben Rothlisberger Matthew Stafford, Philip rivers cannot dunk. Jared Goff had a garbage vertical their car posted, an Instagram video of himself, dunking. Okay, so that's thirty three months ago. It's pretty good thing. Dr Carr. And is it a convincing? Dunks very convincing. Okay..

"No, my mind's telling me, no, but baddie. Our Kelly, but still a jam slips. I. Holy shih. I don't know. I feel like he's a maybe. I'm wondering if anybody's going to argue with me on that. I feel like he could, but the numbers indicate. He probably can't. He's six one twenty nine inch vertical anyways, two hundred nine pounds. That's not that much to nine. Yeah, he's like, I mean, I mean, he my reasoning and I'll tell you not based on much he can move seen him dance. Yes. I think he's got coordination is really important. I don't know. I also feel like he'd be that dude that can dunk that you're like, you're not supposed to be able to dunk and dunks, but I don't. I don't feel hundred percent yet. So it's I'm surprised by how willing you are to agree with me. I think we have the same opinion on this right now. He's kind of the guy that can do it all, you know. So yeah. Wanna think he can dunk. Maybe his sophomore season really. Definitely. No right now. Possible sheen has worn off about deck. Twenty five years old six to thirty two and a half inch vertical, very athletic. Yeah, he's six. Two. He feels shorter than that to me. Really? Yeah. I guess I don't know why. 'cause I'm stupid. I feel like this is a. Yes, or maybe. Just because he's so athletic Asha if we keep letting ourselves, maybe it's just, we'll go back also. I see what you're doing with all the black quarterbacks c, they're giving them all yeses, and I just want you to unpack that that is not true. I think I don't know about deck deck really likes basketball, right? He went to that Mississippi State the women's game. So I wonder if he ever played basketball. So I don't know about deck, I guess, make him a maybe. Okay. Case keenum here's I have unique insight on case keenum because I've met him in person. Who left. He's not that tall number show six one, he's thirty. I'm going. I feel solid. No on case keenum. That was your unique insight. Yeah, because I just know like I've stood in front of him and I feel like if you put me in a room with any of these people, I could tell you within a second. If they can dunk or not. I played a game of football with case keenum. He threw a pick to the least athletic person on my staff. I don't think he can dunk speaking of staff, although he was pretty athletic when he tried to jump off the roof after having thrown a pick to the lease. I still feel no about case keenum six ones Tono speaking staff, Matthew staffer, he's transient, you don't. Is there a more of a, no, then Matthew Stafford? Well, you know? Yes, because it was ally Mana lie, but. Not Ryan, and Matthew Stafford teamed up to win a church league basketball championship. Sixteen, of course, say did. So let's just watch. Don't. Still no easing really know Matthew Stafford Italy. No, but he's so he's so what he so staffy. Wow. He's just so you know nephew. I don't know. Something's telling me feel he probably dunked once someone repayment law to Stafford dunked once and still talks about it to this day. That's who Matthew Stafford is. All right, Aaron Rodgers. I feel like if Aaron Rodgers could dunk, we would know because there'd be ten commercials about it. No, I think he's one of those guys that like doesn't tell you that he saw alien until you ask them. If he's ever seen alien and the near like, whoa, all this stuff. Butter notchers. I didn't know. Yeah. So I think if somebody no one's ever asked him if he can don't. Well, his vertical was thirty four and a half inches as pretty high. But then again, that was thousand five, thirty four. He is old always not old. We sit somebody who was thirty was old well for this. I was just joking because felt personal. Yeah, I get. I don't think I've been. I don't think Aaron Rodgers. Can dunk? No. All right. I would have said maybe but oh, across them out. He's, he go. Alex Rogers on my list, so he also can't dunk. Well, wondering he's also a dick to Shawn Watson, Ashley, be careful here. Oh, definitely. "How old are you? Thirty three k can you dunk? No. Have you ever been able to dunk. Full-blown basketball, what. Personally deflated by. Yeah. Like what? About a baseball. 'cause you're base. What did you ever play? Basketball? Okay. And you can't dunk. Like you're saying, how close were you to dunking. Let's say like five, six inches that's claw and your six. Three, four, six, four. Yeah, that doesn't count though. No, yet shirt. Do you happen to know your vertical off the top here wouldn't doesn't know that we could measure it outside flu. Read, how many inches off did you say you were five or six? That's a lot of inches or a little. It's about average sites about. All right, Mike, thank you for answering our questions. Just real quick. Do you think Russell Wilson could dunk a basketball. Right now today today. I mean we have to get the asking, maybe no. Well, what if you to thirty four inch vertical. Yeah. Kind of kind of crazy, right? Yeah. And that's a standing verticals. Yeah. All right. That's it. Thank you. Thanks like five to six inches off. He's a big man my life now I'm, I feel like I don't know anything well, so Mike is not a professional athlete, but he was talking about in high school when he played bass. Yes, I know he's not professional athlete, but still they're not professional basketball players. That's a really good point. Really, good point. We should've started without point. Okay. We need to. We need to make decisions. Okay. So Josh Rosen, who now having trouble with my brain today, Josh Rosen six, four thirty one inch vertical twenty one years old saying maybe. Yeah. I mean, I feel like he probably could maybe with like a maybe leaning towards. Yes. Okay. Matt, Ryan. I'm saying, no. Yeah, no, yeah. No, I remember the outfit he wore when he showed up to the game, the other day Dunkin basketball. You are not operating that way. If you can Dunga basketball. Okay. We also we already said no to Joe flacco. Josh Allen twenty two, six, five thirty three and a half inch. I would say yeah, I said yes. And you said no, no, but the good news is to Jay doesn't go here one account. So we're saying yes to Josh Allen. I feel like, yeah, I also feel it. I don't. He's probably the guy know the least about in the league. So something crazy jump though over the guy with the knee that that was yes. So then yes, yes, he's Duncan. We said Cam Newton is yes. Mitchell Trubisky. Oh boy. I'm going to go no there. I mean, he is young. He's only six, but he's only tune is vertical was twenty seven and a half inches which not great. It's a no for me. Now, let's just be honest. Like vertical isn't everything. You can have.

"No, can I do one more definite knows yet breeze. Oh, he's a little guy, I know, but he gets ups when when he has to jump, you know what? I'm comfortable doing it 'cause he's thirty nine. Okay. Healed healed. So drew Brees is out. We've eliminated Tom Brady drew Brees ally manning. So here's an interesting one that I think we could have a discussion about Russell Wilson, Russell Wilson's five, eleven? He's the only current starting quarterback under six feet. Very small. He weighs to fifteen k. according to sources. In twenty twelve at the combine. He had thirty four inch vertical. That's crazy. That is crazy. So like guys that were, let's say like Carson Wentz he's six five. His vertical was thirty point five inches. Like Russell can get up thirty four inch vertical like that's great. I think I think I'm the most on the fence about Russell Wilson. Because he's athletic, he can move, but he's twenty nine. I don't think it's getting easier. Dunk heels forget. I feel like very small didn't play basketball and they probably haven't like train themselves to do it. And he's been a lotta time, please baseball. That's a point. That's another good point. We should look this up. Which ones of them played basketball? Yeah, man, Jay really coulda really could've done that. Yup. I also couldn't han- Russell Ken Russell Wilson dunk, but I didn't. It's a smart, nobody that feels like cheating affiliates about the discussion research. It feels like it's about discussing whether we think. I don't know. I'm gonna put Russell Wilson on hold for a sec. I'm not ready to make a call. Okay. Let's talk about tall, tall dudes. So Josh Allen six, five with thirty three and a half inch vertical. I'm gonna say he can dunk. I still think know why. I just feel like he, you just think he's gangly. Do. I feel like he's giving like touch the rim bobble and it's gonna brick from pure. I don't think he can from pure numbers height standpoint. It makes sense that he should be able to, but I just feel like he wouldn't be able to a gut thing. Yeah, really quick can interject I googled Ken Russell Wilson dunk in an article came up and said, Russel Wilson, Wilson, Russell Wilson's high school hoops. Tape is a highlight reel of layups and good intentions. All no. If he couldn't do it in high school, definitely into it. Now. Of stupid. What it said video that said, Russel Wilson dunk, and it was a dude in a Russell Wilson. Oh, ooh. So I was trying to look into the actual math. There's this very complicated thing on the internet about like dunk calculator. It's just too much physics. And then I was looking just talk about him in terms of height. So like flacco you think flacco is gonna dunk? 'cause I think no, I think no. Okay. So we'd eliminate flacco. Right. That feels right. I'm still on the fence about Josh Allen, Josh Rosen. It's gonna be, is it? So he's young, right? That does help stick one on. Six, four tall, six tall. It's taller in his vertical was thirty one thirty one. I don't know. What if we make a maybe call him? 'cause really, they asked us the over under? Yeah, the over under. Let's just go through like what is instinct? Tell you about Matt Ryan. No, we never measured vertical. I think he's he's skinny. Ish. He's got long limbs. I don't think he'd make it to the basket. How tall he six, four. They're all. All six, four. So was like list gas key and Lozo they can't dump their six, four tall, Mikey, gas, six, four, yeah. Oh, they can't dump. Can you grab him real quick? I just wanna know if he can dunk. Yeah. Okay. Thanks. We're just gonna get one of our writers feel. Janus. Somebody told him explicitly not to dunk because I feel like he could then you could junk. Like James is tall, but he's also a little bit bigger to thirty one and is vertical was under thirty inches. But he again, that feels like a guy who's like I gotta be able to dunk or else I'm going. Oh, sorry. Hold on. Let's gas guys here. Could you come in for my question. He's come over here for one second and just state your name for the record Michael's Caskey. Great. Thank you so much. "Was good strong. Anytime I can bring Ashley in, do whispering hurts man tone in my paper. You're like. Doesn't looking what you guys don't know, and maybe someday will flip one of these cameras on and let you see what it's like. We make podcast, but when I do those, I'm making eye contact with Ashley in a way that if I were actually bets pretty uncomfortable, but I need it during them. Once you're angry, I come from, it helps. It's really hard to be angry at nothing really easy. It's not easy to be angry you well, but I'm a method, you know, so it's actually get into it, we'll we'll fill your, we should feel minutes faces and how into it you get or just amazing. 'cause I don't know how to do it any other way. Like I don't know how to just do a voice. I have to pretend I mad, which is very easy. Okay. Earlier in the podcast, what was his name? Brian, Brian, I knew that testing u. Austrailia fact, what was the guy on the name of guy left a voicemail. Brian. Oh. Pope facs has ever been pope named Brian? No, yes is yes, it's no, I think I miss poke fats. We got bring it back, bring him back. Okay. So Brian asked if we think how many starting current starting NFL quarterbacks could dunk, he said between him and his friends that they're wondering if it's over or under twenty correct. Correct into I. It seems like my instinct, I just say under, right. But like I said before, a lot of factors. So this seemed like a really interesting discussion. I think maybe we start with just like who we know is a no. Okay. So let's like ally manning. No, he's not dunking. We don't know is vertical. But it doesn't matter. I'm gonna go ahead and say, I'm comfortable saying men and cannot dunk. I also think Tom Brady. Yeah, that's fair. Tom, Brady's a, no. Sorry, babe. I just don't think he could do it. I mean, I think maybe, but I don't think he could. So we'll just take me like a year to train to donkey would be able to maybe currently stands. Nah. I mean, he's he's six. Four, right? So he li- also famously terrible vertical combine very Tom Brady. Yes, twenty four and a half. That's good vertical at aecom. So that's a good question. I it seems like the average ish was like, you want definitely want to be above thirty. Okay. And I remember somebody recently had like forty one and a half, and that was amazing. So for a quarterback, you're not usually getting the higher verticals. So like low thirties, we think are usually like guys explode off the line. That's what they're actually measuring in those because you can't go from a run, your stand, you start standing and you jump upwards k. so it's not like a running, jump type Scituate whatever you get it, I get it. But like Russell Westbrook's vertical is thirty six and a half inches. So that's just like a good thing to know. Russell Westbrook is six three. He's not one of the like super tallest, but he's still like, I thought that'd be a good thing for us to know vertical. I would've guessed it was higher than that. Well, again, if you're running jumping, you can get higher than that, but his standing vertical at believes thirty six Neff inches, Jay, I think that's right. That seems right to me, but you can look it up. So like. Mariota can Faouzi percent dunk. I feel very confident saying that because he's six foot four and as a thirty six inch vertical. Right, right. Yes. So that I'm sorry, we were going to stick with things. We're gonna eliminate people. I, it's my brain works. The same way heard yours does like who are the obvious knows in the obvious yeses? Like obvious, yes, to me is Marietta and Cam Newton, I would say as well. You think? Yes, he Cam Newton complicates. He's bigger. He's heavier. He's to forty five. That's a big boy. Yeah, but he is athletic to forty five of muscle to six, five. He is tall. He has the strength and fortitude to where dumb hats. So I've confidence. Can jump. He also feels like the kind of guy that if he couldn't dunk. Would like stay home from school until he knew how to like. He doesn't seem like the kind of guy who would ever admit..

"Ten, how impressed hurry by you? Same bolts ability to do to sports. Pretty impressed. I thought you were going to say what I thought you were thinking about saying what I wanna say, you're trying to see if it was offensive, like runnings sport. Running's hard. It is absolutely hard, and it is an athletic achievement but running part of soccer. Yeah. You know what I mean? You're not just a skating champion. You're like hockey combines aiding though. Their speed skating shore? Yeah, I guess that speed running Iraq. It is a different thing, but like speed running sprinting is running yet. It's like swimming, it's the same thing. There's different kinds of strokes. Yes, different links of races, right? But if you're fast and you can run that will translate and soccer, it's not like, how are these skills going to translate? Yeah. I mean, you also have to do other stuff when you play soccer. You do. I never played the game. Well, I did don't worry. Actually gets his second goal was like, oh, you saw the highlights? Yeah, I watch both goals. The second one was we were watching a game an ole own-goal that he just kind of finished. So the second very impressive. The first one was kind of kind of kind of he ended it. Okay. Well, he's got the brace. He braced it. So brace racer selves. Brace yourselves for game two. Great. Speaking of sports, how many sports was that nineteen? Really impressive stuff. Nineteen holes stories on the podcast braces of reason we've crushed it. I have a question. Is anyone still listening. Speaking of athletes plan to sports, let's go and get it from the beginning. But before we do that, today's podcast also brought to you by masterclass. So Ashley, what am I getting myself into? I feel like we've been doing a lot of voice impersonations accents and sections and such. I would like to go back to an oldie, but goodie, which is just like a motivation motivation. Yeah. So for this one, Katherine, I would like you to read this address as if you're in a heated argument at the library as as I often in the library really mad and mad at the library often action..

"Yeah, they should be able to have their tattoos on display whatever they are. It is interesting. Like if you got a cartoon tattoo family guy to, you're going to be like, oh, well, that's promoting promoting. Yeah, there's a weird line. Interesting. Stay tuned to find out more is still in the league. I don't think he just I think he got out. Can we lock you in a dumpster? Once I got out, okay, we're still talking sports here on the sports podcast. My favorite thing about doing this now is that we're surrounded by like will Cain stuff and Joan Jacobi stuff. And it's just like a like a lot because we're going and then. This is the same room that day Smith, Steve Naismith social real show from here as as Paul finebaum and we use this room for bird noises. Oh, our next segment was going to be. I have a question, look, I don't want this to get weird, but I was coming up with an idea for a segment. And the point of the segment would mainly be like when you want to say something about something, but you don't wanna talk about it too much. Us genuinely have a question because I found if you talk about something without knowing everything about it, people on Twitter will tell you all the ways you were wrong. So if you if you just want to ask one question and you frame it in the form of a question, then they're still going to respond to you on Twitter and this way it's just I'm not saying I'm just asking, you know. So I the in an ideal world, the segment would be a bunch of different questions. I have about news stories, but I've mentioned last week that I wanted to do this and I didn't get other stories, but I do still have this one question about Cristiano Renaldo related thing. And so just real quick, don't get all sad or any or weird or anything. I just genuinely have a question about this Cristiano Renaldo story. Are we supposed to answer God? No, God, no. Okay. It is not a question for you. Okay. Or you Jay. It's just a question because there are Cristiano Renaldo offense out there. There are people that I have seen brushed the story off, like it's not a story. I've, there's been a lot of. It's this is a lot of things, and I just curious to know in this specific situation. Okay. Let me just ask the question. I mean, I just like being around the question. So my question, how do you defend what Cristiano Renaldo is accused of how do you defend him against it? When there's evidence such as the following he himself wrote, when asked if the woman he is alleged to have raped. If she ever screamed or called out, and he wrote, she said, no, and stop several times. I have a question when Cristiano Renaldo himself says she said, no end stop several times. What is the defense there? Because you can't do the, what was she wearing? We can't do the well. She went up to his hotel room. He's literally saying she said, no and stop several times. And I just would like to know from Cristiano Renaldo fan or a defender, what you're what you're defenses for that because I've come up with, I can argue anything and I can't. I don't understand even the mental gymnastics you would have to do that. This one seems super cut and dry to me. Based on the words of the athlete, but I'll be honest that's happened before, like when Derrick rose made it very clear in his testimony..

"To me because when you think about it, sports are like an entertainment product and the fans, I know fans like to think everything's about them, but it is kind of about them. If the product isn't good in the fans aren't watching, they will change the product to bring back the fans, but then there's this weird other side of things where it's like, well, we can't let the fans go to this thing. And so on the show this week we talked about college football -tendance and how that's down. And then Sabin said that thing about students not showing up, and I was just like, 'cause you give them these insane lotteries, but they have to enter. And then maybe they'll get a ticket. Maybe they won't some schools charge. Some schools don't charge, but other schools bake in the cost of it into your tuitions. You're paying for it either way and it's like how. Are there empty seats when there's hundreds of drunk kids in the parking lot, just let the kids in just give them the ticket. Fill the seats, get the attendance. You look better fans are happy. Students are happy. Why don't? Why wouldn't you do that? And this feels like one of the like it's their pricing out actual sports fans. It doesn't make any sense to me either. I guess like the VIP tickets can go for like an incredibly high amount. If you know there's only a certain number of people like you feel even more like the Super Bowl. Have you ever been to a have you hell when you go to the Super Bowl, you notice that like there's obviously ten people there, but a lot of them aren't the best fans you're getting the fans that can the best of the fans could afford to go. Yeah. 'cause Super Bowl. Tickets are expensive. You've got obviously go to a location that's not home for your team. And so you see this weird mix of like there's a lot of corporate sponsors and. A lot of, well, my company got tickets, so we get to go or a lot of really passionate fans who spent not a lot of them. There's a few really passionate fans who spent a bunch of money to go. And then you know, they're like, well, I can't have this next year and I've got a cut out this and I got a second mortgage needed to go to this game, but there's not that much of that. And I just think like the biggest game of the year, these big events like this, the match should have like crazy, excited, sports fans. Why wouldn't you want? I don't get it. I have a lot of thoughts on this because I was thinking about it the other night when I was partaking activities and stuff. So many thoughts. But I can save those. For later, we have more sports stories. Five hundred foot of. Donelly. Since like j. last played hockey. It's been a while. It's been a long time.

"I just learned that I think it would hurt again and I, I don't really want Jada answer and I'm like not making eye contact on purpose because now we're in this weird spot will be who can weigh in. The only man here is an employee and he works on our show and I don't wanna know about Jay's underwear. So Jay, I'm begging don't answer. But it does feel. It just does need a man to explain. But I think there would be chafing Jay, say nothing say nothing, but I think there would be chafing with like rubbing and some sort of like there's too much friction. I know a lot of boxer briefs are made from that material. That's really slippy so it like creates the pants slide over it. Whereas before it would get. But I think if you're just going skin to pant, like I'm just seeing a lot of don't say a word, sue, seeing a lot of chafing, which actually doesn't doesn't shack for gold bond. Sure. I think he does ads. I don't know that he works. No, he works in the factory, creating the powder. I think he does goal on. He does the general. Wow. What doesn't? What doesn't Shek do ads for he does ads for a lot of stuff. Does he don't gold bud and icy. Hot. And are those competitors. Libby opposite. This is really we're having. I think this a lot, but having balls would really help right now, I see how it for sure he does. Okay. I'm looking at does go by. He does that little shake that will dance also. I think I see how it is something you could put on your shoulder for like a muscle. No, I'm saying, yeah. Yeah, I know you don't wanna put icy hot in your balls. No, I think, yeah, I don't think he'd want gold on for like not smelling. It seems like that it was for make for not thought it was essentially baby powder for men who didn't want to use something called baby powder again, masculinity, I think that is true, but I see how does more like it when you have tents muscles and you need to like, but isn't isn't gold bond also for like, I don't know. They seem like they're in the same thing. They have added Corey, the same tingle in the same during the same eyeliner magin tingle products. I'll what tingled products. Sure. So it's like Vic Arabs also in there. Right? And pop rocks. No, no, that's one I'll over. I think great. Jason. Yeah. The only time I don't under- is when I have two hundred. I didn't have time to laundry. Cool. Same shame. Segment, we're working the show, we'll just try it out of the bucket. Shame. You usually go like bathing suit bottom. Oh, I've done that. Oh, I'm I'm talking like I really didn't do laundry, like I really. I've exhausted the bathing to bottoms. Yeah, you just go without. Yeah. No. I'm going to move on anyway. K. that's a sports story. That's three sports stories in the first in the of the podcast, look at us doing the damn thing. Next sports story. The match between film tiger is that with our fishery calling it a match dope. So suspenseful that's going to be in November. We all know about that Taggart's playing Phil Mickelson for nine million dollars. They're gonna show it on pay per view on, like I said that I say the Friday after thanksgiving. We find out this week fans not going to be allowed onto the course that's so weird. It's just gonna be a small gathering of sponsors and VIP's because when I think passionate sports fan, I think a small gathering of sponsors and VIP's. It's also like when you picture tiger and Phil half of the stuff, I'm picturing them as them like reacting and turning around and waving to the fan or like when tiger just one and that horde of people following like, that's the whole thing. And also this is like it's paper view. It's not a Masumi officially sanctioned. It's not a PGA event. This is like strictly a money, grab. Let's make a thing..

"Admitted on Jimmy Fallon. He hasn't worn underwear in ten years. This a long time, ten years since two thousand eight. Not only that he's he burned all of his underwear, sorry. And so the way the way that this came out, if anybody didn't see the clip was Barclay was on Fallon, and Fallon was like, oh, we got your co worker shack to record a secret question for you and check basically called him out and was like, why don't you wear underwear on when you're doing broadcasts, bad friend and well, you know, could content Bedford content and Charles Barkley was basically like ten years ago. I decided I didn't need under anymore burned on my underwear and I'm happy with that decision burned. Just burned burned all my drawers. Drawer stroz always draws all over his panties, what no heart best. I like to comment on opponents Glenn. No, it makes them feel bad and I like making them that it makes sense. 'cause they're underpin. Yeah, ours. Then they look a little bit like pants depending on if you're about shorter. Let's this that we think Charles Barkley was wearing briefs boxers or boxer briefs. Oh, I don't want you to picture it. I just want to know how we supposed to make a decision like that without picturing he strikes me as a boxers kind of guy. And here's why, because the transition from no box from boxer to no panties. Is a lot easier than transitioning from a brief. Yeah, or a boxer brief because boxers are essentially pants you're wearing under your pants, right. So like. I think it would be an easier transition. I don't think if you're a person who's a brief sky for civil weird. Second of all, I don't think that you not that I'm here to king shame. I don't think that you can make the transition from briefs to nothing. That strongly. I think it's much easier. That's what he liked it so much because it was so it was maybe that's why he went from what's going on under basketball shorts. Zero. I think they have like the now them tight like spandex you want Shen, but they wear underpants under the compression shorts, compression knees. I don't know. I doubt short sees. I'm just trying to think of like a match if he wasn't wearing underpants when he played bad hosts or great, great intimidation tactic drive on Greenland. Sure would or whatever. Okay. So what's first of all? Let's let's discuss the pros of not wearing underpants in k. for ten years savings. Some money, laundry. Oh, my slugs. There's so then again, laundry is the thing like underwear. The thing that let me know it's time to do laundry when I'm running out of underwear, Mike, okay, it's Andrea time. Otherwise I'd be like, well, these genes are dirty, but who's gonna care? I could wear the same jeans every day. It's underwear that lets me know like you haven't done laundry in a while. So if you're not wearing underwear, how do you know when to do? Well, he's a man. We probably should have established that. So he's probably not doing his own laundry anyway, because patriarchy. More positives, not wearing underwear for ten years. You're not gonna have any breathing issues down that there's no like ventilation problems? Yeah, there's a hell. Get Marie. Plenty of breeze air. Let's just jump to the negatives running out of positive. You can't ever wear just basketball shorts. I mean, you could, but it would be frowned upon a family event. You're always going to feel like you gotta wear a pant and kind of thick pip because you don't want to be the guy that sits down on the couch and the kids are playing. Somebody can look up your short, you don't. Oh, that's true. Yes. True. You don't want to put anybody in position linen pants, probably out. Get all any pant that like is going to be a little too tight. Definitely out. When you talk in your shirt going to become a problem, I don't. We really do need a male voice here. I don't think so. No, not getting is the problem, but jeans..

"It was on countdown, right? NFL. Sunday countdown. Justyna Anderson didn't interview with l. Beckham. Junior. This was last Sunday and Lil Wayne was there, and I guess it was because Lil Wayne was like promoting his albums going to be in town, just use that information because she's got a good report with Odell to book the interview, like very last minute. They put the whole thing together within like a day, so I get it. 'cause it's hard sometimes to get athletes to open up and even just we've talked about this even just giving like a a baseball player a bat. When you're talking to him, I've noticed gets into calmed down, like drew Brees as an interview, a little stale. We put a football on his hand, and he became like, you could tell he just like became comfortable. So anything you can do to get an athlete to open up until you more things. Even pains sitting little Wayne next interview. You do what you gotta do. But obviously so much comedy, they're just so many opportunities jokes during the interview. Obviously, ode l. got in trouble for some of the stuff. He said. He's spoke pretty negatively about the team, namely manning put not until Thursday. So like the interview aired Sunday, he apologized Saturday, and they find him on Thursday. He apologize the day of the door. Four, oh, to the team. And then they're like Thursday. They're like, you know what? But he said like, I don't know about manning. I feel like he's not going to get out of the pocket. We know Eli is not going to run it can still throw it yet. It's cool catching shallow and trying to take it. But I wanna go over the top of somebody which is like that is that is you shouldn't have to call for that. Yeah. Fans in these moments. This is when we should be vocally supporting Odell and the giants because we're in control how we react. Is how the teams will react and things will be going forward. So if we see this interview and we're like, wow, bad of e of Odell than the team is gonna go, yeah, let's find him like yet. Don't go be honest to the press. We should be like celebrating him so that more athletes and teams will say, look, great. The reaction was when someone was really honest with the media or maybe they still won't do that, but I just don't get it like we finally got an athlete to say a thing that we're all like, I wonder what he's thinking. And instead of him saying, we give a hundred and ten percent, everyone tries their best. He gave an answer, everyone's like, oh, you can't go do that. I know he's not supposed to, but it's awesome when they do and Lil Wayne. Is there a way? Is there too, and then little Wayne. He wasn't done talking since. I don't think he spoke much in the interview. He then put up seven, Instagram, videos, reacting to people's reactions. To again him being present in Noto that come junior interview. You had said after the interview, I don't watch Lil Wayne much, so I missed a lot of him which surprised, no one. I don't think anyone's like, wait, you. I manning not up on the most recent Lil Wayne news. Zoe lamenting should be up on the most recent Odal Beckham junior news that feels relevant, but so he's, he went out Lil Wayne and said that which always a good idea. And so little Wayne rolled up a nice, big blunt well alleged allegedly. He never smoked it. He did hold it for the whole interview in his little tunechi room because that's all there was on the wall was just a neon. Tunechi sign. Cool. I have one of those two just don't often brag about it by filming, seven videos of myself. But he said every time I'm doing an interview about you in somebody's about to even when I'm in the crib and amongst the homeys every time someone says something bad about you this little Wayne tuck by IB the first one to defend you. Said Lil Wayne while smoking what appears to be a massive blunt. You can ask it Bayless. That's my homey. Shout skip. That's I'm reading. I am not shouting skip that him shoting Horton to sing right on within the quote, you can ask Bela's. First thing I'm going to say as man. "You get to like a like a, you stop thinking. You're just sort of in the physical moment you say you think actually at least can relate to. It wasn't going to. Yeah. Why wouldn't I be able to relate to that? I think we're all very competitive. People know how world champion she has junior Olympic junior, Olympic champion, gold gold medal. Medals one gold medal or maybe to think in the night, a couple brands on Vic, dealing with all. That's fine. Do you know what other Gino? Let's try this. What sport did I play. You were as poplar? Yeah. What position I play bitter, the most dreadful. Yes, actually would understand. And so would you know I? Yeah. I remember being frustrated after games. Mine were more of like I would have did more tears than punching. Yeah. But you anger build up inside of you, take it out. Look, I'm just saying everyone gets so like there goes Odal Bookham junior again, hitting thing, and it's like, yeah, okay. There goes other players hitting people and we don't give then doesn't really make any sense. I just think Odell seems like a an again. This isn't a not like an armchair psychologist or whatever, but you spills a guy that has like emotions and he deals with them in ways that may seem weird us. But guess what I bet is emotions would seem weird to us too because we have no idea what that feels like to be on. That sort of stage into also need to depend on a quarterback who cannot throw the ball twenty yards. Downfield just doesn't have the ability to and like that's going to continue to affect people on that team. And now that they have a great running back and saquon Barkley she, he's, he's so good, but it's not gonna help if the quarterback can't give him that. Sorta space with passing game. Like it's just frustrating and I am Odgen saquon Barclays, probably to Dell being like, oh, I get it. What do we do? How do we fix it? You know? But then you think of receivers that have had bad quarterbacks in the past that are really good receivers, like gender Hopkins was the most frustrated receiver ever, but just because he doesn't deal with it this way doesn't mean no one who is in the situation should deal with it that way. We're not willing to treat football players or any athletes really with like understanding that you're not all the same person. It's a weird thing we do is fans should cut the hit on more importantly, let's talk about Lil Wayne. Oh yes. Please. Because if you missed it and I'm sure you didn't..

"I also think in this is not a saying anything about, oh, Becca, junior, I don't know him. Well, I don't know anything about his mental health, but do fine. Weird that we like when athletes come forward and discuss any issues they're having with mental health. We all say like so strong really amazing for you to come out and do that. But every minute leading up to that, we don't ever think a take a step back and go Mike. This be a person who in a few years will say, they've struggled with a mental health thing. We don't ever treat it with the same precaution in care that we do once the person says, were admits or like figures out that something's going on. I think that's weird. I think that's on us. Yeah, I was. I was. Head weird feelings about last night with the fan, the non-human fan, non-human fan. 'cause I feel like he is lying. Let's called an appliance here on a here to for four plan. I feel like he has had a history with inanimate objects and it's like, obviously the kicking net was a big one, but I remember seeing video of him also after a loss to the eagles. Like with headbutting. Like a gate in the link. Oh, yeah. Punched a hole in the wall at Lambeau. Yeah. And it's just like, like you're saying, it's it's very passionate emotion, but like you gotta be able to reign it in will not for nothing to his credit. I'm glad they're inanimate. Yeah. Yeah. Like I don't mean to say the bar super-low, but like if clearly this game is really stressful and you have all these emotions that are inside of you and you need to get them out. We shouldn't not saying celebrate him for doing it, but kinda. Like he's not going home and like taking it out on somebody. He's not beating up a person. He's just like agree and he kicks kicking. The kicking is okay. Put the like headbutting stuff. We'll that you mean just on like, don't do that to yourself. You're gonna hurt yourself, workout ching a wall. You're wide receiver. I'm shocked by how often, Jay. I'm interested in her thoughts and you don't have to say anything if you don't want to. But by how often, how much seems to be a thing. Men all are like, oh, I've done that. Like punched a wall. I've never punched a wall before, but I do feel like it is a characterization of like an angry, especially in sports to like you get angry. You do something stupid, you're, I mean, like I played hockey my whole life. You would? I would break my step what? Yeah. It is never once. Come up. Well, it's coming up now, what's yeah. Well, what what you literally never never mentioned when we've talked hockey, you've never been like, well, as a hockey player, you've never I ever played the game thing. No, j. the other day I was like, I'm clearly the best gator on the staff and you just. I did not hear that question, but I also would never challenge you to a foot race Ashley because you would beat me because you just had that superpower. I also gave them speech last night when you were at work said actually sick yesterday. So she wasn't here, but I said the Ashley will beat everybody in anything because as long as the only way to beat her is by going, I 'cause she doesn't know or nobody going second. 'cause she doesn't know where the line is. So like you let her go first and then you can be better than her. But if you go, I is it's gonna go, oh, wow. That's better than I thought I had to be. I will just be better now. But anyway, back to you, Jay, you never told anyone, you played hockey. I played hockey that's and well, I, the dumbest thing ever did playing hockey was I, I got really mad because we let it go like in the third period really late, and I tried to break my stick on the boards, but like bounce back in hit me in the risks such j. thing to do and. And it like basically fractured by risk couldn't play for like another couple of games. So all men are dumb is what you're. Yeah, I think there's like an anger that comes with like, I mean, I think Ashley how these landing us sports. No, I just feel like they're in sporting events situation..

"No one. Whatever hate him. Go get him there. Let's start off with some news as we always do 'em saying that understanding that I'm being third casting, Jimmy Butler stuff's going down for real. He does not want to be there anymore on the timber, wolves of Minnesota. Obviously made it very clear. He wants to be treated then at practice on Wednesday, he. I guess caused a scene is what everyone's saying in the headlines. I believe he just aired some grievances publicly who among us hasn't gone to work and been like, I've got some shit. I'd like to get off my chest and they get it off their chest, but he told what's his face? The GM Scott Laden you. I assume it says you bleeping need me. I better to king need me. 'cause you hit need me would be weird. You need me. You can't win without me which, you know he wasn't entirely wrong because he then led a team of scrubs to beat the starters in that practice. So I mean, if we're gonna talk game, you mmediately back it up. I'm not really sure what there is to discuss. You do need him. He is very good and he's unhappy. A lot of apparently according to watch a lot of Minnesota players left practice, feeling energized by Butler's performance and they, you know, loved it. So like I feel. Like that was an additional most flake. I get it on unhappy, but you really do need me. And then he proved that he needed them and players were like a love this. I mean, other than the players he was yelling at, but then you know, as one does when they want this, not to seem like a big story. They cancelled practice on Thursday. They cancelled media villa -bility, hoping it would blow over. They must not understand the internet and you know you delete a tweet and makes it a lot worse than if you just leave it. And then the final preseason games tonight that's Friday night versus the bucks, and he didn't. He's not playing in that and their their first regular season game is on Wednesday. Oh, and then that's right. Pat Riley called Tibbs. A mother fucker. Asking him, they wanted more more picks in the in a trade because they're trying to trade him. Yeah, he called mother fucker. I just toss that in there because I like a Pat Riley and be the word order. So I mean, if you can lead a team of scrubs to win against the starters, you better get those draft picks for them. You're going to need them for real. I just feel like I don't know what, what's everyone's thoughts on this because I just think that we always overreacted people being angry about their situations when it's like sports fans. Look at yourselves, you've gone to work before felt underappreciated, felt angry and said some things at least he's keeping it real. I don't know. I feel like that's a boring opinion, but I, I don't understand why everybody overreacts to this stuff so much. I mean, I think if you look at it like a real job, if I came in and started swearing at my bosses and saying, you eat me in the office. Yeah, I get suspended, right, but I. Might and might not. That's the other thing is like your boss when you're when you're like, yes, they're your boss, but literally without you that they don't have anything the kit make their product, right? It's like an on-air talent, edit, sports network situation. The boss is the boss and you don't wanna piss him off, but at the same time they do need you. And so when things are frustrating, no one's listening to you come in and say, like what the. Oh. Sometimes reach a breaking point. It sounds like I'm saying it happened to me. It hasn't yet, but I'm just like setting the table. I've only been here for like a year. We literally here, we even put this anywhere in the show guys. We celebrated an anniversary this week actually. Our one year friend of her Serie Ashley, and I met a year ago on October. Ninth. So to what day was that Tuesday? Monday day Tuesday, whatever we met a year ago. Yeah, that one year. Anything when you're in how we feel and I feel pretty great. Yeah, figure it to feel strong. You guys have thoughts, filtered what. When your friendship look, I've known you my entire life..
