"And I know he's a dictator and I'm not saying that it's Kinda hard that say the bad way when you say dicta but I'm not saying in a bad way because he's not killing people. He's not doing that it's just that he's he's running his company. The way wants to run it and he's well he's got some special guys that stand out you know they get a little bit more favors like McGregor you know but they why he he insists that you're in a competitive fight. Your you know eighty eighty percent at the time in boxing. It's not a it's it's a against the be the exactly that's that's too big novacaine eighty percent of the the time it's a against a B.. One guy's going to win the other guys probably not GonNa win. We know it at twenty percent of the time in Mice Sport Sport only twenty percent of the time. Is it that kind of competitive fight. Yeah it's it's it's because of the nature of the game because you got a few powerbrokers and they will have a little piece of land. They don't give a crap about the rest of sport and there could drown. They able to control their own little thompson. And that's it but the fact well you're going to do but in. UFC You could see what it looks like when it's done the right way when when when somebody says no you gotta fight somebody you get good fights and and that's why they're brand has grown enormously the way it has to UFC. I mean there's a reason for it because they're putting good stuff on They're putting a good product. Doc Dot there on a regular basis so and I'd say one other thing. The commentators had to jump into this a little bit but the commentators. Sometimes there's too much showing going on in a boxing. I'm not GonNa Point anybody specifically But man is too much going on with it. Because you've you got the against the B.. And and you know right away you close your eyes and you know who the House fighter is because you hear the way the commentators are talking. It's ridiculous sometimes types. It's absurd really like I want to say to you. Hey guys you got any pride I mean come on. I mean and I'm wondering about the you guys feel bad. What do you do you? You don't notice All you've got cotton you a lot of cotton but you put in. I mean sometimes it just gets too much but the commentator and sometimes commentators eight is a box and took terrific. Don't get me wrong. I'm just saying sometimes boy and the commentators would you have see. There's no showing and they will make good points. Yeah I mean they they. They were hitting all commentators. Should make a point but the truth is you WanNa Hilo secret. They don't sometimes they don't sometimes. I wonder how they make a analyst stop you you can watch the super bowl coming up right. You'RE GONNA. You're not gonNA see a newspaper as a guy breaking down the offensive line blocking guarantee for everyone's sake it better be Tony Romo. That guy is the bell miles miles. Put them saying you're not gonNA see like a boxing. You're not going to see a guy who's never coached. Never fought never trained. You're not going to see them telling you why L. Love's GonNa land the why the why how traps going to be said. Oh look for counter versus you know. Effective Aggression No. They're not going to insult you Intel. I mean and football. They know they can't do that. You're GONNA have a coach you're gonNa have somebody who's done it. Somebody who's been in that area somebody who should be breaking down the XS and does not just there have newspaper talking about what this supposed to talk about on no sideline you know talking about. How many fans in the stands you know? I'm just eh whatever but they insult the crap Outta me. That boxing. The so-called Honchos they. They don't care yeah they don't care that there's nobody holding a standard. There's nobody demanding. Stand to the fans to the fighters. The fight is deserve. Better than that. I digress. I do that sometimes but anyway I appreciate the commentators that does not showing what the UFC that. I do see them making points that you would hope that somebody that knows their craft would be there to make an Aaagh they are whether it's rogue or the other guy there there making the making proper points them where they could add to the podcast of telling you what's going on one of the fighters you just mentioned. Conor McGregor was in action. This past Saturday and just a complete walkover beatdown of Donald Surani. I don't know of Surani threw a punch. But he doesn't know what it was like. It was like I always liked to make comparisons right. Yeah pulled the air. It was like spinks Tyson ninety seconds. Oh yeah but but this was forty. I'm shocked because Cowboys Aronie is a tough guy. He's been in there with everyone and he just got blown out of there so fast fast but it speaks this for the raiders. Yeah he's a good. He's good saw the raiders. Going to and mother you to the the Super Bowl. I saw Mark Davis at the Fight Market Down Marquette down. That'd be in the Super Bowl and now doing a good job gruden All the aw bike my tremendous tremendous Amazon's part of that team so that don't good before the fight. My son made a point. Venus in the true as of a scout doesn't have to be football. You're a scout you scout He said that there's one thing going against his cowboy. You know I don't know follow the UFC two once. What's but he goes? He fights to watch he shot one he he fights a lot. He fights too much. And that's going to be where everyone was looking because that is like when you point out some he goes and you pointed out in a different direction that where people looking at it to be coming from he said McGregor would say always been an active. You know so they're saying cowboys could win. A lot of people would say that and The the fight on the line foot in Vegas was very close. You know and a lot of people were saying that. Oh McGregor has been inactive. He's made a lot of money. Honey you know he's not hungry. Don't want whatever cowboys always fighting the skies veteran he goes. But this is a time where it's GonNa work against them where the other guy's going to be fresh Josh and is going to be a little worn out. He also didn't make cowboy cut weight which people were saying was to Cowboys advantage because he's naturally bigger guy. McGregor egger look muscle bound and they said why are you doing at one seventy goes out. I WanNa Matt as best. I can make them come down to one fifty five McGregor is like the mayweather of you have see he could dictate state any terms. He could find him in any way he he wanted and dictate how many rounds probably too. But he said no let them come in at one seventy Nelson no problem if you'd think if if that's going to help him in at the press conference even Surani said I appreciate you not making me cut wait. I'm happy to find the name. Mayweather Mayweather we. We all know. He's a defensive genius. One great fighters of all time or that undefeated but what we should not miss what he's also great at is. This is a great business man. He's a great batch make. He's a great manager. He's a great guy picking his spots. He sees something. I remember when he picked canal away once it all. He made a mistake back. Then yeah call. You made a mistake. Haw and he won every round except for that one criminal. Judge that you know again. You can't get away from unfortunately it's so again I it's it's McGregor source something to your point title. He was being a nice guy. I would beg to say maybe it was more than just being a nice guy. He knew he knew what we're talking about. Like mayweather does he knew that. The advantages sil- the advantages and to his credit he was ready for it was smart. He knew that his guys shop on this guy is a Lou shot very very slow notoriously. Slow starter jumped jumped on him and you know what I got to point something out. You know he used his shoulder. You'll out of course the Bang Bang Bang brokers notes knows but nobody teaches these. UFC's go in this case cowboy there's a similarity box ox work. I try to help you so you as a training you teach the guy to turn his head look up toward head so it's not available to be on the site I. I was almost almost as as much as it was. I give credit and it was magnificent. That part of the fight plan was to do that for McGregor's much is that's good out in a positive way in a negative way. Those who hit me that wait a minute. How could Surani not be taught to get his ahead? He he did keep it there for one hit for two heads for trae like after one. Turn your head you know. Get your head out of there get out of there but you know so. I'm just saying I can't help. But that's the trainer in me that I'm watching those two houses guy leaving his head there you know. He doesn't know what's coming next. So so anyway I saw that I saw that I again in the different dimensions. I looked at it Yeah but Grega had a great fight play new up against he was fast he blitz the blitzkrieg. He blitzed him. He knew he could blink. Some uh you know. He's to his credit. You know he's known as a good striker but to his credit. He threw a good kick it all he talk nice kick to eat a the thing with the shoulders and of course he jumped on overs all over And and he pulled it off but some of the other things that again Dan that you don't get credit for because a lot of people say well what did you what did you see. What did you get out of that? You know really it was a it was a slaughter slaughter you. What did you get out of? What did you see? You didn't see nothing for McGregor. Well pets again. Where I give credit to accommodates where someone like? Rogan pointed out right away said no no no no you get credit. You had other things you saw. Oh what did I just saw an onslaught no. Aw You saw guy that handles pressure tremendous pressure tremendous light. He handles the brightness of the light he takes. That's part of his. We can't overlook that that's part of his talent part of his ability that he he takes that bright light the way flowers taken sought took role to glow. That's what he does and visit good observation. There's a there's a talent to that. So rogan right away Jason Nano..

There's a big card this weekend Magazine and McGregor. That one guy the guy I gotta that'd be honest with you. I think there's too many cards I don't even see this like this is a pretty big fight and you. I haven't seen much on it well L.. Let me let me correct you slightly. This is a pretty big fight because conor McGregor is on this fight. It makes it bigger because he's fighting. Donald Sironi Aronie so with the UFC. All they really need is a main event. Indoor Komeda meant to be huge that will sell out the entire arena that will maximize mys- paper views. The rest occurred can be can be straight garbage right. Honestly it'd be straight garbage. It doesn't matter if they have a guy conor McGregor around the card. It's going to sell out. He says up by himself. You put one of the bad guys on the planet and Donald Cerrone on the card as well. It's going to do very well put those two together. It's fireworks it's going to sell you know I mean that's how it works for those guys like. I'm a heavyweight guy. I agree with everything you just said And even if I didn't agree with you you could kill me I'm fascinated by how like here. I am Mr Tough Hockey player and you could literally submit me in under five seconds. Well it's all relative The Truth Steve McKenna used to be married. Louisa forces one of my really good friends Seven to fifty. I used to beat the crap out of on the Mat. Put me on glass with livestream about shrimp to the bottom of my feet. Put a club in my hand. Let's change rock around on that glass and see what happens. You guys went every single time. It's so relative to the sport that you're in and we practice timing. Yeah Can I. Can I be most normal guys in the street. We're walking on the street and starts arguing with my wife. Can I defend her. Yes absolutely well you can too. You can do that as well. But you're not defending her against me because I'm not going to be. That guy was gonna try to start a fight with your fiance. I'm going to do that. That's not my game. The game game of the idiot. That does that that we can beat up. It doesn't matter because we're athletes between a baseball player. A catcher a guy that that's fourth that's the fourth utility guy for the outfield world. That played for the Houston Astros. While they're cheating winning. Winning a world series could still beat up that guy because he's an athlete. So that's the thing you have to get around it was like yeah you versus versus me on this wood floor inside inside your house. I'm winning oh I shouldn't put me on some ice. Let's see what happens. You're beating the crap Outta my catch you. I wouldn't even know what to do with you. Let's just say in the wildest scenario that We got mad at each other. I wouldn't even know like I. That's that's where you have to do but I'll assume I wouldn't be able to knock hugh out and then I'm in trouble. Well it depends. How much drinking am I am? I not paying attention to the backside and hit me behind the ear. You'd be amazed at how easy is the. Knock somebody out if you get them right and if I'm not paying attention I'm not ready for it like we're not the biggest problem when fight starts. Is that people start talking about fighting before they fight. Now we're talking about St Street fight so you now in his argument and we're getting accelerated. Things are sort of jumped up and then we start pushing shoving and then I was somebody get down right. It's like well that whole time. I'm waiting for that thing to happen if you and I an argument and you are going to go to the bathroom and I'm like okay. Let's go back to doing whatever and I'm taking it taking a drink and you come from behind me punching back of the head. You're probably going out because I'm not ready for it. I'm not looking for it but if I'm looking at you and I'm ready for it. You're not catching like what we let's say we're going to I'm just so curious. 'cause the last five I got an choked out in a hockey game I didn't realize the guy was a sheriff. And he did this amazing maneuver where he pushed me. We were face to face and he pushed me really hard with his left hand on my shoulder and it turned me around instantly instantly. Okay put me in a chokehold like a rear naked standing up and I was a well because well first of all for sheriff. He's not supposed to do that because that would be illegal to do on a perpetrator because he was in. He was in hockey game. It's totally fine. What about so And he it was little like he was probably I don't know maybe five six probably outweighed them At least seventy five pounds sounds and it was. I was out like that. Yeah and when I woke up he had my glasses in his hand. Because I hear those are really expensive prescription. I'm sorry apologize to them instantly by getting back to the too many cards. Are you know like a heavyweight guy. Yeah I just there's there's something magical to me about watching heavyweights with and I realized that lightweights can knock each other out with one punch But I grew up liking boxing in the seventies Eighties so like Mike Tyson. We saw we saw the end of Mohammed Ali. We saw the beginning of Leon spanks. We saw the end of Leon spinks. Tyson yeah we saw some legit tremendous heavyweight that I mean I have A. I will show you when you leave a signed buster Douglas Glove. I'm a big buster. Douglas Ninety in Tokyo had a nice. You know never talks about him but he is he on and if you look at the story behind. I'm sure you know the story. Sorry mom died. He was having a hard time. Rankin wasn't servicing. Build a run like this whole bit was going out with him. He showed up and just like that fight was not physical. He beat Tyson. 'cause he wanted it'd be Tyson it was mental fortitude. He showed up and said I'm going to beat this guy no matter what happens. I'm GonNa beat this guy and he went in and did it and end of it and then that was basically under Tyson at that point when she realized is like everybody else. It's weird once you figure out how to beat the Yankees Yankees why find with bullies and this could go to hockey fights if you go oh to MMA. I I always wanted to see but there's more than the you'll see You know that when the bullies beaten once they're never the saying you you know like Bob Probert who was the king of he was Tyson of the NHL in the late eighties to mid nineties but one night and Saint Louis. Todd did you and knocked him out. He was never the same. Marta mcsorley. Yeah I mean He. He taught me how that guy in the head. He thought for sure he was getting away with whatever he wanted he he was the guy. He was the enforcer so he could get away with whatever he wanted and then he did something so agree. Gis We're going to get you out of the League. That's how bad the situation that you'd caused us. We Tom I forget who he did. Donald or share dom Tomahawk him in the head. And how I met them I was in Manhattan beach at sharpies. Barrios Harry IOS heroes and they both were sitting next to each other and lily walked in. It was like I don't really know what's going on. I can't figure this out because the uniforms but I know you guys someplace. Oh Hey sure. Hey I'm like oh hey. Aren't you out of the League. Because of this. I is whatever it just had to be in town. They had to be sitting next to each other. It's crazy crazy. Well I think the controversial thing with that outside of the stick in the head and goes to. I don't know if there's a code within a May fighters but like in hockey. There's the code. If you beat a guy badly you owe him a rematch. Yes and that was the situation that people kind of forget and I'm not saying what mcsorley day was right but You know shared beat them pretty badly earlier in the game in a straight up fight. Yeah and he did the He had this thing where when he would beat someone really bad he would wipe hands together like he was done with them right. Yeah and he went by the Bruins bench and did that. And that did not make the bruins happy so mcsorley wanted a rematch. In Bushehr would not give it to him the rest of the game. And that's why but go back to your point. Look what happened to the bully. He he he alison heat and he won't now you won't engage with him. He doesn't know what to do okay. I don't know what to do. I got. I got accelerate this because I don't know what to do so your point of wants to believe beat people kind of figure it out and that's Kinda what happened extraordinary once. They figured out he's got to push the buttons and then he's GonNa come back after Eh and similar where Tyson because You could see when no one had ever gotten up from a Tyson knockout and you could see in deservedly really so I mean what my God But when Buster Douglas got up barely some argue he didn't because long count supposedly You could tell tie you know. Supposedly there was a long but I've watched it several times like it seemed to be a close does count to ten but did the rest start to count late. It was only it was only one second of two seconds late. And so here's the deal with you. Have to think about referees. have one hundred per second to make a decision and what's to make that decision to live with it the rest of their lives. Well we at home at the replay. It we watch it make a decision talk amongst their peers. Figure it out and then spit back. What we think actually happened well? That guy has to have great.

Yeah and he did the He had this thing where when he would beat someone really bad he would wipe hands together like he was done with them right..

"That Mike Is Yours. And you see the podcast. Already started before the introduction Get excited with every guest. I have on here a lot of. I'm sorry interrupt you clean this thing. That was last touched by Stephen Pierce she the the singer from Iraq. So can you go ahead and give you a brand Mike. Because I know where he's been. Listen you want brand new. My Skull on Rogan's podcast. This is a low budget operation I'm GonNa give this man the introduction. He deserves. I don't have many people who are in any hall of fame. This might be well. Don frye was on this podcast. One of my first celebrity guest. Ast and I love Don. Frye hope he's doing well in Arizona. this man is a second. You'd see hall of Famer I've had on. It's he's referee. Now which makes perfect sense Place and he's probably the toughest guy with the nickname of twinkle toes. Give you for Mr Frank Trigg. You know I hate that nickname I mean. I felt weird even saying to you but it is your nickname. I'm trying to get rid of that thing for now. It's been almost twenty years right. Hold on twenty years. I'm trying to think for more than twenty years. I mean I was. I aware that nickname through I believe his name is the voice. Michael Michael Chabala. He gave it to you right. No no no. I got Lucia Ferrelli. Who was my manager time? His brother Rico was my trainer They gave it to me because I pay my toenails knows in Japan. He asked a female fight fight fan. You know who is your favorite fighter. The frights rover and everyone's kind of you know San Autographs and taking pictures all that stuff and and she was like. Oh I like the ball. Garo tattoos that note it down onto every American. That was on the car and Japan's near going to every single American guy who was on the car while a ball had tattoos and she's like oh the WOM- Toes and it stock. He's a total toast. Oh so he just ran with it and then he just that became the nickname you know. He also came up with the natural for couture Yasser came up with. What was Henderson's Hendro Hollywood is now back. Who was Hollywood Henderson? That was Louis came up with that one too He get with everybody's nicknamed that was part of the raw team. And so but I hate it from the very beginning to. It was a non like it and I've tried to get rid of it and just stuck. Thank God now You know the Beltran. The referee with two things super long beard. Yeah He gave me a new one Tristesse. Now that's running around in the Russian community tribulations as the riffing community Tight because I would. I would imagine you're all up for the same gigs. I would take one Chango Ongo. I hope I knock him out. That's your that's your best bet. That's my only be. I be last me I in runaway last. "And maybe they'll give you a high five in the locker Royal headed towards the locker room but boxers street guys, they grew up in a street up around a lot of people that walk out of the gym. It's not a big deal. You know, and they're so reachable. I mean I was having in depth conversations one on one with more of an Hagler this weekend with Tommy spent I'm sorry. Michael Spinks, Michael Spinks, buddy mcgirt. I mean some really major guys buddy being what his speech. He's also inducted into hall teddy atlas was, and so was buddy, and buddy speech, which is he broke down on the stage. It was really, really good. He's, he's a good guy. An underrated. Boxer Hagler I think back to those days was the best middleweights. Around that time. We're just wasn't my under the rain Hearns? Oh my God. And Tommy hitman how he ever to just stay away back. Then, of course, fifteen rounds. But in the fourteenth round from sugar, try had talked about him with Iran Barkley with Iran Barkley scenes. We talked we talked, we had had dinner with. But by the way, I had dinner with. I'm going all over the place. Let's start. Let's go back the bark so talk in the, the Barclay were talking about his fights that he had. I believe he said, I believe he he, he beat Hearns, but then he lost to God Panama Panama Durant. I just we were talking on the in so anyway, great conversations with him. But I had dinner with Irish Micky ward, and his brother Donnie, Dickey Acklin. I had dinner with them one night, and those guys, my guys, they're just streaked around guys what good guys, the Gaddi ward wars, they had one two and three in one round nine was probably one of my all time favorite rounds of any boxing match ever. And just just good guys from they come down to the hole every year. And you know, it's funny when we the first night that they came down. They have this big thing for the boxers that are in the hall and their families. Some of them, and there were teddy and thicky shows up, Dicky Mickey they show up and the lady that walked in and otas a little buffet. She's telling the guy that for the restaurant, I don't know, those guys they came in. They're not part of the come on. It's Irish Micky ward. Let them have a frigging piece of tuna. I mean, what are you gonna do? I mean is kind of funny, but anyway, those guys are really good knock around guys. I love them and it was a great time. They're not just me being Teddy's friend, but all of the fans, very reachable, you know, with the boxers and the people involved something I didn't like even told teddy about it at dinner one night. I don't like how they have big garbage bags full of boxing, gloves. These people to come up and asked headed assign. An in the same guy comes around again, in the sign, I said, they're going to be on EBay midnight. They'll be on EBay. These people are just they're not fans that you are. You are their job is just to get. Stuff assigned to get the Celtics out the south and it just it said me to see a lot of that, but it was true fans there too. And you really can't tell sometimes, especially if you're just looking down sign, and you're trying to get out of there signing autographs as you can and you know, but me behind teddy. I've seen the same guys coming up still buddy. How many gloves is this? You got here. He's on a midnight. They're going to be on E B I terrorize him. You know, I'm the because you're not you're not struck guy, but coolest all autograph that you ever got. I have a personal autograph from me. Amazingly was that it was at the nineteen Eighty-eight Spinks Tyson fight, Spinks ties online at, on tasha on Trump plaza, an Atlantic City convention center, going in, and I finally get to the door to go in and they put Joe the module in front of me. So they put the Maggio right in front of me and not his guy. Just his, his attorney who wind up Robert robbing, then real, nice run-up stealing about that story. Yeah. So they put us attorney right in front of me with Joe. And I got to say, you know and you know, that's before my time before all of arthritis. Really? I say, Mr. Maggio can I have you sign? My ticket my boxing ticket. So he takes my ticket and I give them a Pentagon, annoying pulls his own pen out of his pocket. Sign my ticket. That's probably the best ticket autograph. I ever had as far as meeting, I met, Mickey Mantle six months before he died. Somebody non-sports non-sports because you're a music guy. Yeah. Oh, do. I don't know motley Crue probably okay. Hanging out with my crew backstage, Keith Vickers. It's no way. No, Ed key, Keith Kate, number one. Oh, yeah. I've been the on that. That's number one. Yeah, coolest for me was doing the interviews at Venetian plots when I used to do the show, they're sold assault or Tim McGraw faith hill, Tim McGraw, this great story, Tim McGraw is publicised comes up and says, locate Mr. McGraw be there about five after seven. He's gotta leave that seven fifteen right around there it's got dinner up until Monaco's with new missile. I go no problem, you go ten twelve minutes with Tim McGraw. I love this guy. You know. So the interview was he said, like on any, any other interview, because I wasn't talking, you know, country music, but I do enjoy a lot of his songs and didn't really touch much on his dad being tug McGraw until he got into it and said he was snooping around his mom's closet. He was eleven and a half years old now he's into baseball himself. He's, you know, he's been playing baseball. His step-dad is a truck driver Mississippi, Louisiana back and forth and all. But he sees his birth certificates, Timothy McGraw. And he's like, what the heck that's not my last name. You know, he calls his mom on it. She tells them, she said, look, I was going to let you know, so she recontact jug McGraw tug McGraw writes back says, look, I told you, you know, the kids, not mind that sends a picture. He's like, all right. Well, what do we need to do? Because now the kids eleven and a half years old looks exactly like them. Right. And so they end up connecting and you know, sparingly talking each other anyway, tug, McGraw, his friend owned a country station in Atlanta, Tim McGraw later on in his teens and stuff. Started writing riffs and things like that and sent them to tie because he knew he had part ownership or something in this country music station. One thing led to another at the time though. This is the credible part Bill at the time when he's eleven and a half years old. He's got three baseball cards hanging up on his wall. No way Cesar Dana, Don Sutton, and tug McGraw. Unbelievable. That incredible. Well, he never told it he said, because, you know, all his interviews had been country music based and here we are. So the best thing, though, is I said, well, I know you gotta go, you know, I took a commercial break about seven fifteen because first off, he got there, five to seventy five after like the publicist said he got there at five of we talked, he grabbed my Friday night, lights DVD, which he was in. He was great. He was drunk, dad for billings, kicks out the window and took the silver marker hit a silver, Mark. And he wrote it ended, I still have it. It's beautiful ship. All that stuff. And that was like that was that was my best. But the coolest thing was, I said, well, thank you so much. Like he goes, we'll what time you go. Well, I'm gonna go down to, you know, seven thirty and he goes by I know you have dinner with missile up the, you know, upstairs, and he said, he goes kidney, we have dinner every night, you know, because he goes show wait, she'll have some breadsticks. And he stayed till seven thirty. Just just a great guy had a great conversation, but talked a lot of sports got into some of the album's now he got into some of the songs. But the song about the people think it's about tug McGraw live like you were dying wasn't wasn't even you know heating rate. The writers wrote it, but initially was not about tug McGraw, but it kind of coincided because he ended up, of course, dying of brain cancer a few years later and but, but what a neat guy I mean he was one of one of the coolest autographs that I ever got though. You know, it's funny, I'm looking at his you notice, I'm look on my on my ipad here. I'm trying to find the show. You the pitcher. I didn't I don't really know him. So I don't know. I, I don't know country music with my parents loved the country. He's one of the best. So my mom and dad, and this is this for my dad passed. Obviously, my dad said I really love to to go. See Tim McGraw, you know, if you can get your your mom and I- tickets. So not only that I get tickets at backstage passes and. Have a really good connection for backstage passes and I was going to try to show you these pictures. I'm off on break. I again, they went to the show sat in the first row, by the way, I wrote seats set Tim McGraw was unbelievable and faith. Unbelievable. Of course, I actually new to songs, but my parents had unbelievable time. Didn't tell them. I've taken backstage to meet them, and it was just such a great thing. And my dad, he was sitting in Wiltshire at the time I had them up and Tim McGraw actually helped my dad out of the wheelchair to take pictures, like, unlike isn't that great. What a great guy. I, I had a newfound respect for them. They're, they're really good people. And, you know, I just thought I'd say that too. You're absolutely right. Great people, both of them. And and they're giant stars too, right? Yeah, that's, that's why I love having you on Andy as well, because there's so many stories that you guys have a lot of times, we'll, you know, we'll hit all the games all the scores. And folks, don't forget, I didn't forget the rich. Hear about a lot of generalizations, but almost always here as far as generalizations go as far as nice people country music NASCAR. Yes. Yes, yes, I have the bad stories too, though. But. Woods blowing everyone off in front of me. Not not signing autographs for kids. I've watched them. Do you know? So I have bad stories about people. I mean not not a tiger fans. You could tell However, I do like like Charles Barkley, nicest convy. I watched him give one hundred dollar bills to everybody one time. I mean, I'm people. They, they like him like hate him. I watch Donald Trump to the same thing. He's got valet thirteen hundred dollar bills out. Give a hundred dollars everybody watched them do it so tiger. Okay. Not Tiger Woods. But Charles Barkley, my buddy, Dave moronic, big raider fan. Big time raider fan. We get together actually today high school football brain trauma research fundraiser, a lot of the raiders forty Niners were.

"Okay. I don't mean to wear you out on this. I this story my head her hate it. I hate it. Hate it. Nathan Peterman up forty three points on the eventual national champions in two thousand sixteen Nathan Peterman is the worst quarterback I've ever seen the NFL. Yes. It's unbelievable. I went back and look we've done this before in two thousand twelve to ask Pete Carroll O could've college team conceivably. Do it. It was because the Alabama team with AJ McCarron. Eddie lacy. Look, so good. What the conversation was mean. This is ridiculous. I mean, even going back further Matlin Reggie Bush fine players. We have that conversation with that team. Those guys didn't make a huge impact at the NFL. Nathan Peterman beat Clemson Nathan Peterman, put up forty three points. Kelvin Benjamin put up eleven hundred yards in college. He is a staff the other day spiking the football is more efficient right now than throwing into Kelvin Benjamin star. He was a star in college. That's how this works. Anyone who makes the NFL is a legend in their hometown. High school. Not everybody plays for Alabama. Is like, yeah. Kevin clark. Joining us, very funny guys. So I was saying this. What are the Panthers? New England doesn't lose like that. Saints don't lose like that. That reminded me of Ohio State Purdue this year where I'm like Ohio state's got problems in the locker room that game that doesn't happen too. Great teams right northeasterner mania only lasted about two weeks. I mean that was really there was quite a waiver. But I think generally they are what we thought they were a couple of weeks ago. They are the third best team in the NFC. I don't even see a path for them to get into sort of the mount Rushmore of the top four teams in the NFL. I just don't I don't see any improvement. I think the chargers of the NFC. The only difference though is the chargers have Joey Bosa kind of lingering he could come back and make them an elite team. Yes, the Panthers. Do not have that. They are what they are. I think that the the offense is much easier. Now DJ more is a weapon. Christian McCaffrey is a weapon Greg Olson's weapons or not just throwing Devin funchess and Kelvin Benjamin out fair. And saying, hey, make it work. So I think they're a much improved team. I think they are without a doubt probably a scary team to play in the playoffs. But I don't see them as a threat on the road. I also feel like they have to play a certain way to win. They don't play great from behind their energy team. They're sneaky good at home. If they get a lead those tricky plays play action. But if they're down like down fourteen last night with that pass rush. They're not they're not built to play from behind. You have to win a certain way New England. Pittsburgh can win a lot of different ways. Low-scoring high-scoring from pine. I say I do analogies most bad, but I was saying New England's Ali Pittsburgh's Tyson, and I always felt all he would beat Tyson. All he was always the smartest fighter including the referee in the ring, always all fights, Pittsburgh is Tyson when he's buttoned up, and he was he came to the fight in shape. It was all by God. Pittsburgh last night was Pittsburgh. It was Spinks Tyson. No penalty. Not only big Ben's arm. He was officiant. It not only their big play guys. Seven Steelers had touchdowns. Like when I watched them there. Kevin. I'm like, oh, I don't I don't want any peace of that. It's interesting. You mentioned Mike Tyson because Mike Tyson was pure talent. That's what he was Antonio Brown. Ben rothlisberger. They kind of show so many things are overrated. The Steelers never run play action. They don't do any of this modern stuff. We talk about every week is being vital to the NFL like the anti McVeigh in a way. Yeah. But they just paste teams because they have really good players. And that's it. And so Antony Brown is as good as a player as there is in the league. Ben Rothlisberger is an elite quarterback. James garner. Didn't have it last night. Like you normally does. But he's really good right now the line is the best in the league. They just have good players now. Sometimes that's gonna get disrupted know, I think that they don't have the coaching staff the superhuman coaching staff like New England. So the consistency is not always going to be there. Right. What they have is Tyson pure talent. The Troy Aikman came out this week. And he said the Cowboys are dysfunctional and they need an overhaul now I defended him on dysfunction. I said Manchester United Yankees Dallas Real Madrid fever IOC when you get big and powerful wealthy families. The DuPont's the Rockefellers dysfunctions almost impossible to avoid you have so much money mean a couple of years ago. The Lakers made a decision to sign Kobe because Time Warner said we're not gonna give you the money. If you don't have Kobe, and I think dysfunctions hard to avoid when you're a massive brand. It's some point there's too much money too much leverage too much power overhaul, though means we gotta start over. I don't feel like that with Dallas. I feel like they need a new coach. And I don't like calling for coaches jobs, but it's flat. It's a flat. Am I wrong? What do they need? First of all indeed, a coach you can come in to find out. What Dak Prescott is? Because you start to hear these. Things know Louis Riddick yesterday. Mark Cooper is no league route runner and can get separation. They just need to play caller, and they do need to use play action more than they currently do that sort of thing. The problem is the time is ticking on Dak Prescott substantial and if that press it's gonna make fifteen sixteen seventeen million dollars. He's no longer valuable. The point of Dak Prescott is he's gonna make seven hundred and twenty five thousand dollars against the cap, which is what he makes this year, and you're going to build an infrastructure around him if he's going to eat up a lot of cap, he's no longer valuable because he's not a top to your guy there guys like Matthew Stafford in this league who were much better than Dak Prescott whose contracts are killing their own team. And so if Dak Prescott it's going to be the guy who's killing your cap, that's a really bad situation to be in. So I think you need to sort of make the decision. Don't don't extend Dak Prescott right now. Bring in a young, maybe a Lincoln Riley. Maybe here's your first call see what happens with innovative schemes get into the twenty first century, and then figure out what that Prescott is Zeke Elliott is what this infrastructure looks like going forward. Kevin Clark, great NFL writer. Very funny guy on social media for the ringer used to be the Wall Street Journal. I also believe that if Dez clicks withdrew that's another warning signed, Jerry, bro. How do you think doesn't the saints works? There's going to be a dense Bryant game in New Orleans. I mean there's going to be a hundred and fifty yard touchdown game. And the reason is because of drew Brees. He lost a lot of vertical explosion Dez Bryant lobster. We sell at the foot injury has lingered. He's not the same guy. He was. But if anybody can make any player in the league, look like a superstar through breeze right now. I mean, he he's connecting with Michael Thomas. What eighty eight percent, isn't that amazing? He's rewriting norm slave. I don't even know what I look at drew Brees in those data can't believe he was completing sixty eight percent passes. If you just take away passes within the first ten yards. So just just deep boss. It's unbelievable. I've never seen anything like this. And so yes, he's going to be able to get the ball to Dez Bryant doesn't matter. If does Brian create separation doesn't matter if you can go vertical IQ used to. So there's going to be in the next couple of weeks. And I think Sean Payton is petty enough to try it against Dallas to try to make it a Dez Bryant breakout game. The timing works out. I didn't give Sean Payton never got the big job in Dallas. You never got the big job in Dallas. He never got. Bella. Check does to Cleveland. He he always calls Cleveland, I on trades to make a bad executive, Jamie Collins, exactly. And so I just think generally I would not be surprised if a game plan to get a huge game against Dallas. Okay. So I throw this out there in listen Packer fans think I hate Aaron Rodgers. But I don't I think he's amazing. But I do think some of their issues sometimes he can be a bit condescending he's getting overly exasperated. And it's like, you know, he and Big Ben sometimes we're a little dramatic for me. I'm more like the LOC. Russell wilson. You know, Brady head down to your stuff. Right. But he not only leaves the NFL throwaways. He's got trouble everybody, and he's going to now in Philip rivers led the league in that. He didn't have that year. He's not a mobile guy and their offensive line was a rack Aaron still mobile. Offensive line's fine. Davante Adams, very good Jimmy grams. This I believe he was ticked off coming into this year when they let go of van pelt who's now Cincinnati, and I believe Aaron's looking around this league breezes about on ever Brady's than ever. And he's thinking come on. Now, I do believe he came into this league. I think these throwaways are not just throwaways. It is a signal which is really that's the call no motion. Again. I'm watching McVay. I'm watching golf. I'm watching how open people are now. Again, maybe I was a massive reach. But this number is going to be exponentially bigger than everybody. There's something with McCarthy and Raj. Kevin. It's not right. So here's the problem right now in twenty eighteen there are ten or fifteen offenses that make any player looked like Aaron Rodgers and Aaron Rodgers is not one of them. He's the one guy who doesn't look Aaron Rodgers this year he has under a hundred quarterback rating, and he has highest quarterback rating for a career in the history of football. That's him. He's one hundred and three first career. He's below that in a year where there are record numbers guys above one hundred rating, anybody can get a hundred rating these days anybody and Aaron Rodgers inhabit. So it's the play call and they have to modernize throwing guys open is very twenty twelve. And that's what they're asking Rogers to do. I think it's just a lack of separation. He just doesn't have the weapons. I also think you know, I I really like Aaron Rodgers. And I think that one of the things that he's really good at its trusting his guys. And so if he's not throwing it into tight spaces. Maybe he doesn't have the same trust. Maybe doesn't have guy like Jordy Nelson. Who we can just knows they'll come down it's younger receiver. Yes. Its younger receivers. And so maybe he doesn't have that chemistry built up where? He says, you know, what it's a small window. But I'm going to go for it. Anyway, because we've seen that so many times from Aaron Rodgers over the past decade. I don't think McCarthy is the coach next year. I would tend to agree unless something miraculous app and we've seen it before the second half of the season with with Rogers release gets on a heater. But if that doesn't happen. I I agree with you. So great NFL writer can you pick any game to go to every week? I tend I liked to just watch every game on the same way..

"I don't even see a path for them to get into sort of the mount Rushmore of the top four teams in the NFL. I just don't I don't see any improvement. I think the chargers of the NFC. The only difference though is the chargers have Joey Bosa kind of lingering he could come back and make them an elite team. Yes, the Panthers. Do not have that. They are what they are. I think that the the offense much easier now DJ more as a weapon. Christian McCaffrey is a weapon Greg Olson's weapon. They're not just throwing Devin funchess and Kelvin Benjamin out there and saying, hey, make it work. So I think they're a much improved team. I think they are without a doubt probably a scary team to play in the playoffs. But I don't see them as a threat on the road. I also feel like they have to play a certain way to win. They don't play great from behind their energy team. They're sneaky good at home. If they get a lead those tricky plays or play action. But if they're down like down fourteen last night with that pass rush. I'm like they're not they're not built to play from behind. You have to win a certain way New England. Pittsburgh can win a lot of different ways. Low-scoring high-scoring from pine. I say I do analogies most bad, but I was saying New England's all e Pittsburgh's Tyson, and I always felt all he would beat Tyson. All he was always the smartest fighter including the referee in the ring, always all fights, Pittsburgh is Tyson when he's buttoned up, and he was he came to the fight in shape. It was all by God. Pittsburgh last night was Pittsburgh. It was Spinks Tyson. No penalty, not only big bands arm. He was officiant. It not only their big play guys. Seven Steelers had touchdowns. Like when I watched them there. Kevin. I'm like off don't auto want any piece of that. It's interesting you mentioned, Mike Tyson because Mike Tyson was pure talent. That's what he was Antonio Brown. Ben rothlisberger. They kind of show so many things are overrated. The Steelers never run play action. They don't do any of this modern stuff. We talk about every week is being vital to the NFL the anti McVeigh in a way. Yeah. But they just paste teams because they have really good players. And that's it. And so Tokyo Brown is as good as a player as there is in the league, Ben rob Pittsburghers and we quarterback James CONNER. Didn't have it last night. Like you normally does. But he's really good right now. The offense have line is the best in the league. They just have good players now. Sometimes that's going to get up to you. I think that they don't have the coaching staff the superhuman coaching staff like New England. So that consistency is not always going to be there. Right. What they have is Tyson esque pure talent. The Troy Aikman came out this week. And he said Cowboys are dysfunctional and they need an overhaul. Now, I defend them on dysfunction. Because Time Warner said we're not gonna give you the money. If you don't have Kobe, and I think dysfunctions hard to avoid when you're a massive brand, it some point there's too much money too much leverage too much power overhaul, though means we gotta start over. I don't feel like that would Dallas. I feel like they need a new coach. And I don't like calling for coaches jobs, but it's flat. It's a flat. Am I wrong? What do they need will? I vote indeed a coach you can come in to find out. What Dak Prescott is? Because you start to hear the. These things. Louis Riddick said it yesterday. Mark Cooper is no leaf route runner and can get separation. They just need to play call, and they do need to use play action more than they currently do that sort of thing. The problem is the time is ticking on dot Prescott extension and if deck press out it's gonna make fifteen sixteen seventeen million dollars. He's no longer valuable. The point of Dak Prescott is he's gonna make seven hundred and twenty five thousand dollars against the cap, which is what he makes this year, and you're.

"Okay. I don't mean to wear you out on this. I this story my head her hate it. I hate it. I hate it. What the conversation was. I mean, this is ridiculous. I mean, even going back further Matlin Reggie Bush fine players. We had that conversation with that team. Those guys didn't make a huge impact at the NFL. Nathan Peterman beat Clemson Nathan Peterman, put up forty three points. Kelvin Benjamin put up eleven hundred yards in college. He is a staff leather day spiking the football is more efficient right now than throwing into Kelvin Benjamin. But star he was a star in college. That's how this works. Anyone who makes the NFL is a legend in her hometown high school? Not everybody plays for Alabama is like that. Yeah. Kevin Clark joining us, very funny guys. So I was saying this. What are the Panthers? New England doesn't lose like that. Saints don't lose like that. That reminded me of Ohio State Purdue this year where I'm like Ohio state's got problems in the locker room that game that doesn't happen too. Great teams, right? North Turner mania only lasted about two weeks. Now, I mean that was really there was quite a waiver. But I think generally they are what we thought they were a couple of weeks ago. They are the third best team in the NFC. I don't even see a path for them to get into sort of the mount Rushmore of the top four teams in the NFL. I just don't I don't see any improvement. I think the char the chargers of the NFC. The only difference though is the chargers have Joey Bosa kind of lingering he could come back and make them an elite team. Yes, the Panthers. Do not have that. They are what they are. I think that the the offense is much easier. Now DJ more is a weapon Christian McCaffrey is a weapon. Greg Olson's weapons are not just throwing Devin funchess and Kelvin Benjamin out there and saying, hey, make it work. So I think they're a much improved team. I think they are without a doubt probably a scary team to play in the playoffs. But I don't see them as a threat on the road. I also feel like they have to play a certain way to win. They don't play great from behind their an energy team. They're sneaky good at home. If they get a lead those tricky plays action. But if they're down like down fourteen last night without pass rush. They're not they're not. Built the play from behind. You have to win a certain way New England. Pittsburgh can win a lot of different ways. Low-scoring high-scoring from pine. I say I do analogies most bad, but I was saying New England's Ali Pittsburgh's Tyson, and I always tell all he would beat Tyson. All he was always the smartest fighter including the referee in the ring, always all fights, Pittsburgh is Tyson buttoned up, and he was he came to the fight in shape. It was oh my God. Pittsburgh last night was Pittsburgh. It was Spinks Tyson. No penalty, not only big Ben's arm. He was efficient. It not only their big play guys. Seven Steelers had touchdowns. Like when I watched them there. Kevin. I'm like, Aw, I don't. I don't want any peace of that. It's interesting. You mentioned Mike Tyson because Mike Tyson was pure talent. That's what he was Antonio Brown. Ben rothlisberger. They kind of show so many things are overrated. The Steelers never run play action. They don't do any of this modern stuff. We talk about every week is being vital to the NFL. Yeah. Like the anti McVeigh in a way, but they just pace teams because they have really good players. And that's it. And so an Tonio Brown is as good as a player as there is in the league. Ben Rothlisberger quarterback James CONNER. Didn't have it last night. Like you normally does. But he's really good right now the offensive line is the best in the league. They just have good players now sometimes that's gonna get disrupted. And I think that they don't have the coaching staff the superhuman coaching staff like New England's consistency is not always going to be there. Right. What they have is Tyson asked pure talent. The Troy Aikman came out this week. And he said Cowboys are dysfunctional and they need an overhaul. Now, I defend them on dysfunction. I said Manchester United Yankees Dallas Real Madrid fever IOC when you get big and powerful wealthy families. The DuPont's the Rockefellers dysfunctions almost impossible to avoid you have so much money. I a couple of years ago. The Lakers made a decision to sign Kobe because Time Warner said we're not gonna give you the money. If you're gonna have Kobe, and I think dysfunctions hard to avoid when you're a massive brand, it some point there's too much money too much leverage too much power overhaul. Though means we got to start over. I don't feel like that with Dallas. I feel like they need a new coach. And I don't like calling for coaches jobs, but it's flat. It's a flat. Am I wrong? What do they need? First of all been need a coach you can come in to find out. What Dak Prescott is? Because you start to hear these. Things. Louis Riddick said it yesterday. Amari Cooper is no le- route runner can get separation there just need to play caller. And they do need us play action more than they currently do that sort of thing. The problem is the time is ticking on Dak Prescott substantial and if Dak Prescott is gonna make fifteen sixteen seventeen million dollars. He's no longer valuable. The point of Dak Prescott is he's gonna make seven hundred and twenty five thousand dollars against the cap, which is what he makes this year, and you're going to build an infrastructure around him if he's going to eat up a lot of cap, he's no longer valuable because he's not a top tier guy. There are guys like Matthew Stafford in this league who were much better than Dak Prescott whose contracts are killing their own team. And so if Dak Prescott going to be the guy who's killing your cap, that's a really bad situation to be. And so I think you need to sort of make the decision don't don't extend back Prescott right now bring in a young, maybe a Lincoln Riley. Maybe here's your first call see what happens with innovative schemes get into the twenty first century, and then figure out what that Prescott is what Zeke Elliott is what this infrastructure looks like going forward. Kevin Clarke, great NFL writer. Very funny guy on social media for the ringer used to be the Wall Street Journal. I also believe that if Dez clicks withdrew at another warning sign of Jerry. Bro. How do you think the saints works? There's going to be a dense Bryant game in New Orleans. I mean there's going to be a hundred and fifty yard touchdown game. And the reason is because of drew Brees. He lost a lot of vertical explosion Dez Bryant. Last year. We saw the foot injury has lingered. He's not the same guy. He was. But if anybody can make any player in the league, look like a superstar breeze right now. I mean, he he's connecting with Michael Thomas. What eighty eight percent, isn't that? I'm may he's rewriting norms. Like, I don't even know what I look at drew Brees in those stats. I can't believe it. He was completing sixty eight percent of his passes. If you just take away passes within the first ten yards. So just just deep boss. It's unbelievable. I've never seen anything like this. And so yes, he's going to be able to get the ball to Dez Bryant doesn't matter. If Dez Bracken create separation doesn't matter if he can go vertical like you used to. So there's going to be in the next couple of weeks. And I think Sean Payton is petty enough to try it against Dallas to try to make it a Dez Bryant. Breakout game the timing works out because they didn't give Sean Payton ever got the big job in Dallas. You never got the big job in Dallas. He never got bell does to Cleveland. He he always calls Cleveland, I on trades to make back bad executive, Jamie Collins. Yeah. Exactly. And so I just think generally I would not be surprised if a game plan to get a huge game against als. Okay. So I throw this out there in listen Packer fans hate Aaron Rodgers.
