"Community by using data? Wow, this is fascinating. So orbit love. It has integrations with slack Discord, et cetera. And then orbit dot AI. Do they have any integrations as well or is it just a little no, right now it lives on its own platform and essentially just functions through email. So it sends email introductions between members. And so basically, if we want to launch it for CMX, for example, we'll send out the link to everyone in the CMX community to sign up for that program and then that will start facilitating the interaction. Now, of course, what's really interesting in the community world right now is the data ecosystem and how it's developing for my entire career. There's been almost no developments in the data ecosystem, which is wild because there's so much interesting data and community. So now if you use a tool like orbit AI, I want to be able to port that data into orbit that love. So now orbit love gives me a centralized view of how are people participating in orbit AI in my Discord in my Facebook group in my events, bevy, right? How do I centralize all that data into one place and orbit that love, comms or common room? There's a bunch of new players in the space that are trying to tackle that problem fascinating. I'm going to check these out afterwards. Well, if this has been great, what's the best way for people to find you online? You can find me at David spanx on Twitter, my DMs are open. I do free office hours every Friday. So always happy to help other community builders and entrepreneurs. That's probably the easiest place to find me. All right, Dave, thanks so much for doing this. Really appreciate you having me. We appreciate you joining us for this session.

Whatever you wanna call them but that is simple tiniest instant tiny's communication short shop to the point where you get together with by Darlene on zumo the physically number one a daily how to lower daily scrum absolutely critical irrespective of he's obviously is and secondly you've got to have at least one would fly meeting awake at least absolute minimum and then needs to be some sort of ladyship meeting held at least weekly or fortnightly That's really looking at working on business. Which i know that you had considerable dealings within your i. I'm firm including a a significant uplifting of pluses So what are you doing in this area with your country and cons. Well we have a program called project uplift in some will step program Often do fall prices. Go up on off. Truncated beck detain for brevity. But about i would have half of my clients. He's the the uplift is suitable for by the counting and financial. Planning businesses will die. I find that is quite different. there is a lot more work in my opinion involved in a project. Play full financial planning business. Typically because financial planning has come from a background all very inconsistent processing some might be asset by some ivy fixed fee. somebody hybrid really the whole proc- model is to get to some consistent. Transparent pricing the financial planners the program or project uplift typically tixx a random twelve months from the on saddam. Coaching and and results should be. I minimum of twenty percent up to maybe iran. Thirty five percent full full very very ambitious foods on the accounting front. I find that the the pricing uplift is is a much much easier. Prices miceli. Because canton's i used to pricing In a particular whether it's time based oil whether it's up front about it it is a a much more straightforward program And in terms of uplift quite similar sort of results that on on saying coming through this this early stage. Let's take you through some particular situations if i might. So what goes through your mind when you encounter the following situations physically. A practitioner who notwithstanding affordable work expresses the view. It's quick to do it myself by probably daily guy. Probably don't have the confidence in the people around them. They probably at working models too hot. And i probably will hit a ceiling so if accounting and financial planning businesses are will about leverage. And the more people that you employ that can do work on your behalf generated face if you can manage a large number of people in by default the mole money. You'll you'll mike so it sounds leverage thighs that that struggled to to delegate work and tyco more work they will always be a ceiling and that will manifest itself in in fatih and and sometimes middle healthy shoes so really It's a good question. Then they might be very. I've been that that possibly could have some positive outcomes. But i was just dealing with a Catching claw before the some this interview. And i think a largely head that attitude that if someone had the technical skills that would type them on really no matter what and of course what we're dealing with now is cultural mismatch outside critical now that when you are on boarding people that you recruit on attitude And and they culturally So yet i'm not a great advocate of tight on anyone at all cost. Think that You need to be very careful about who you bring on board. I think that you need to make sure that the the team that you've got to pay you on board is culturally aligned and everyone can learn pretty much. Anyone can learn technical skills time. If you've got the raw people with the broad attitude now. I know that as a practitioner yourself that you ran a pretty tight ship Says gripe prices clear on the on the classics value to and steadily growing reviewed five for a long period of time so when you encounter a coaching caught that hasn't got these aspects nile sort of any any thoughts that come to non. Well i always got back to it. It possibly will be ladyship issue. I always go back to the to the old chat. What what. I've found by moyen professional career on all sides through the coaching program and a business grows When you first start off you night you eventually have to do everything. So the skill in a growing business working out what parts of your job you can chop off and give to someone else to do on your behalf that that's the skill so letting laden go is actually quite difficult for a lot of people and that that will infect the your inhibitor oil you handbrake to To grow it so it it. They might be out of the k. Message was excellent gulled side. Good tip for anyone. I love that and you never know what you're going to get in the in the workshops but the the the the incredible thing is that it's cost him nothing to share of experience and getting value that he's combined to everyone let's layers immense absolutely and and look it took him a little while to warm up because the other thing fan and bryk y is the first four months can be heavy guy when you're talking about values and things of that nature paperwork style to lighten up when you get into your strategies and you projects but but Yes sometimes you take a few as to get into your straw. But that was a terrific workshop. Now many firms attending the breakway choose to proceed to ongoing pivotal program. Which means you get to work with them. On ongoing passes that might be helpful to the listeners. If you just a little bit of an idea of you in tim's what saudi the interaction that this program in tiles just to provide some some context well pellet bid slipstream has got the saints the three products breakaway. Which is development of the plan pillow tone which is the ongoing coaching program. And then is i personal breakaway which is looks orion personal plan side. The pillow tone is the the key offering if you like from From slipstream and and catching his all a bad accountability so full mark lawns. Coming into peleton. Once i've done they break wind up. They playing typically. I type them into now the seven steps on top of that which starts with Really looking at day governance and review looking at their factory looking at the revenue generation activities. And then they're quite a few other parts of the slipstream model. If you like that. I get firms to to work on site. If you don't have the rod paypal doing the right role in the right structure. It's going to be very very difficult to move outside. So number one firms going into peleton are really like to dig deep and just make sure that the the org structure and the delivery model but a firm has got his fit purpose. And and i've got the right people doing the right role and then we'll start to dig a little bit deeper into having a look at the factory The is working in accounting. It's looking at turnaround time financial planning. It's jobs out the door so that would be the cape parts look at in pillow tournament and look. There are lots and lots of other things through the coaching program will will deal with I guess being voice abrazen and And a professional sanding board is just some of the other areas that That gone to the coaches for supporting great. Okay terrific answer to sort of dig a little bit further that's like they with shrink cool in input so some of the activities sort of outcomes that civil you'd expect sort of people to achieve out of that indeed. So what outcomes have you. The quantifiable ad comes on. I think mashed Clients looking for is an improvement in their bottom line. That that's a financial outcome but i think My my relatively new experience to stick stream what what really looking for is that festival. Thome's astonishing to orion is if you like a starting to enjoy or get ready Energized with the business. I would say that Half off the clients coming into pill tone. I might be a little bit. I think Some k wins really is just re-energizing offense and and making sure that That i very clear about their About their future. Things like profit and revenue growth wise. Follow if you up. The bisi fan diced in the basic principles ron. Now i'm not looking. Which position of being appeared has to choose between his children for any particular situations or coaching clients. Done definitely a goldstar From local love on very much results driven as i love to see some positive results and And that my very will be in ray structuring of business side removing paypal wrought on boarding people that are gonna make a positive difference Firms that might understand that that. Go to mike some very very tough decisions around the celtic launch. I look after introducing the the project uplift which is the new pricing model firms that embrace thighs. I yes i get bearing through. Can i love working with ice foams either. Each time that we're engaged in a coaching conversation. "Culture that i have. I had the pleasure waking then that actually even includes i'm business. We try right fairly highly. And it's not so much a bad improving a bottom line that that's an outcome of improving their lives but just finished chi-ching coal now with one of my Themes in ninety south two and the at the transformation of that business is extraordinary and that really does give me some pleasure that actually mike difference to they law and that definitely has flied through to bottom line improvements. I that's right. So what sort of some of the biggest things you've had to learn we'll get into. There is an enormous wealth of resources of head to try and navigate wife through the The falling system scott. But i think we've dealt with that nap but there is an enormous amount of resources. That obviously you i and probably sharon to to some extent of will have built. I've the side just understanding what size root resources out that we can use in coaching Has been probably the biggest thing i've had to get used to and i think secondly touching east quite different to consulting which is perhaps way A lot of us have come from way retained to today an advisory role so we engaged by clients to really taylor while the answers catching more bad extracting solutions from clients and that that's a very different skill set so that is something that i am still learning and have got much too and but but all cyclones appreciate sometimes being told bats. The they won't. The answer is all white learning to the cheese. A bad asking the questions and getting the client to To to arrive at the They solutions Based upon the the skill and the questioning of couch okay. So what have you encountered in your role that you didn't expect not not an awful lot. I think it's very flexible. Roll it actually. How of the one i thought. So i i For those of you. That dino may not i i have retired out of a working and and this was conned of i guess the last stage of my waking life went into this feeling that this would be relatively easy guide. The energy in the room is really really positive. I think that tom getting positive. Feedback on some of the suggestions or Projects that clients of working on completing a really good breakaway way. You've got Very engaged participants to me. That's a great day in the office. Mice dies pretty good to be almost Cass- of very fortunate a good crew of clients that very gauged in response. And my style is on on pretty happy as having seen you in action of the breakaway Program you clearly in your element and particularly like is is that. They'll they'll be just a team. How then then also might lewis is speaking about one of his experiences in and you can hear pin-drop so that is really good to say so wanted anything off of your life now. Could you possibly have imagined when you call me in that fight full. I beckon in november two thousand nine hundred not not not really because when i called you does really wanting to wha what opportunities. They were in the brazilian market. I had retired from a practice in high about and and was really just looking for opportunities and the british market not so much an opportunity to catch it was very fortunate for chose meeting very grateful that we had that meeting. Because you know you sort of cited the seed in my mind that chi-ching would be. I might be a good career opportunity for me to pursue and all being very grateful for that Full that compensation and testing. Now you've mentioned the breakway which is to Business planning which show and doesn't seem that long guy that you use the prior grant but now you're running at as if you've always been running So what do you think of the main benefits of the participants going. Through the right way will the slipstream chi-ching model starts first and four with the plan so for the new fence coming on board. The breakaway is to shop that helps you develop a plan for the future three plan and my guess the the cake and pints of that that that i'm very passionate about is that helps. Businesses determined what they k goals objectives and strategies. So that that's a big pot of of one and day two is all about. Hey you go and execute the plane It's probably with nine. I went through this program in two thousand eleven. So i've actually Lived in brave the as a student. Vicarious Visions reportedly working on a Diablo 2 remake at Blizzard

"For me. The story of the week is vicarious visions rolled in spink succumb to the blizzard. Avalanche of the blizzard ebay. They need to plow basically. They need good that name again. It's fist blow to dig them out Most recently they made tony hawk one and two which i rave about last year absolutely phenomenal Release of those games. Did the crash release as well and i just outstanding studio. In my opinion. I think track record of just hits in working on some great games in now Based on the press release that came out it appears as if they are going to be a support studio for the larger blizzard instead of like. Hey go make a new ip or go work on this franchisor or elite on this they. It seems like we'll be one of the many studios you see as you're waiting to get to the title screen of a gay or when the credits are rolling. You're like how many people worked on this in support of i blizzard game. So i guess diablo's or unannounced Helping ship overwatch to maybe. But it's kind of a bummer. I think that team seem super talented. And it this seems kind of unceremonious to me. Well the rumor is that vicarious visions has been working on a diablo to re master for quite a while and that blizzard was so dissatisfied with the warcraft. Three re master which received a lot of hype and was Was a disappointment. i think. I think there's only one way to describe it. It was a disappointment to fans. It was a disappointment to the studio when it released it. Had a bunch of problems and I think they the rumor is that they wanted to date. Being blizzard. wanted to avoid a repeat of that kind of scenario and we're using vicarious visions to work on the diablo two remastered which is unannounced. Chat is saying remake is what they're polite yes. Pardon me remake. These terms should be precise and i. It's my mistake for nelson. Hasn't been out so we don't really know i mean with warcraft. Three was a master. S diablo to remake would be pretty exciting but yes supposedly that was handed over to the four-team and then than they brought in vicarious visions to offload that work as work on the before ramped up and They're they're calling it. Diablo two resurrected all again all of this rumor. But if that's the case super excited obviously victorious visions. Very good at these kinds of remakes. These kinds of taking old games and making them look gorgeous on modern technology so as a huge fan of the oslo to very excited about that prospect. Be i get what you're saying christian about it. Being a bit of a bummer. To to hear that they will no longer be the lead developer on any kind of game creation. Rob you Inside a developer. All the time what. What is your your take on. This is the kind of thing that would be disheartening to a group to to visions themselves or do they see it as potentially an opportunity to probably a little bit of both The thing that bums me out. The most is sort of losing vicarious visions v as it's colloquially known in the games industry as as a brand like air studio that has a very long history. They've been around for a very long time. One of the few coast studios in albany new york which is rare So them to sort of lose their identity and just become you know a blizzard new yorker or whatever blizzard east Is just a bummer. Just from just from a name standpoint It does. I mean they do good work though so i think ultimately for the security of the people working the studio is probably a good thing it ensures longevity that those people will have jobs and projects at work on whether or not. It's the projects that those folks were hoping to work on if they were developing internally typically studios are always trying to develop things internally especially smaller studios sports support studios. They wanna like make their own. Ap eventually that's probably the goal of every studio. Imagine sure and so losing that for now. is probably. There's probably some stink to it. But i would also say like if they continue to prove themselves doing this. There's no reason why. I wouldn't think that they might be handed. Something in the future that may be as a blizzard. Ip and maybe they make a new game with one of those ip's

On the trail of COVID-19 misinformation

"Hi. An tesha Mitchell welcome to science fiction. You are about to mate to people who have really felt the fault lines of covid nineteen in their families. But in the way you might imagine. A mother, he told me I've been on the Victorian government website and the coronavirus testing is boosted a son. That's when my father said Australian scientists have now found out that sunlight is quite effective in preventing nineteen fiction confronting two pieces of medical misinformation. When it comes to medical misinformation, that term is actually really knew what we're used to as snake oil quackery, the waves of misinformation misleading content conspiracy content. It's really everywhere in a way that's really shocking. ABC's technology reporter investigative journalist Ariel Bogle joins us. Now she's been tracking the spread of health information since this pandemic began some of its mono-, some of it easy flat out dangerous and aerial imagine the spink kind of like wrestling with the arms of an octopus. It's really out there. I've seen dodgy posts and videos about carbon nineteen everywhere, and when we put a call out on ABC News website for examples. We received hundreds of tips and that's we're investigating here in click sick this a three part series on where health misinformation comes from, and it's impacting our lives. We're going to start with a single social media post then aerial and the team going digging and found what's out. There is really confusing papal testing their relationships including this woman. We'll call her lucy she lives a life on the move. Yeah Gypsy had. For more than two years Lucy's been travelling around Australia with a small dog picks the angel in a Pink Caravan. I couldn't afford to rent a house at any of the places places near where my children live, which ones album winds up in Byron Bay. So then I was like our will all to stick to being in the caravan and and that way I can float between my children but early in the pandemic in Queensland and interstate travel bans kept her apart from the son and daughter. So when restrictions as FA- caravan parks in Victoria I really wanted to just come and see my son that was that was migraine lot and I just bugged out acquaintance. When she arrived in Melbourne, she heads straight for his sons share house. There's been a dramatic escalation in the efforts to control a spiking corona virus cases in. Victoria in Melbourne. Getting grim as the number of covid nineteen cases, Russula, large parts of Melbourne now in danger of being put into lockdown. So I, only really got to see my son. A COUPLE OF TIMES BECAUSE? I want it to be careful because I didn't know you know how well they were self-isolating and protecting themselves. Busey was more worried than most about being infected with the coronavirus as you're going to hear Ya when Melbourne look like it was heading for a second wave of covid nineteen she bio just before the city went into second lockdown she was staying in a caravan park in country Victoria when she got some bad news on he got really sick really really sick about a week after I left Melbourne a son was on the fine couldn't get out of bed aching alive. You know coughing and I was really nervous I was like honey I really think you should get tested. It wasn't clear what it was, but his son saying it's probably not covid earned. It's probably just a bad flu and I was like, yeah. But for my sake, just to reassure your Mama I'd really appreciate it. If you go get tested because if you get tested and it's negative than I, know at least I'm okay and then he said something that really took her by surprise his words on the phone were I've been on the Victorian government website and the coronavirus testing is boosted. Lucy was really worried about him, but she was also especially worried for Oregon Health I've got to autoimmune diseases and the worst being rheumatoid arthritis, which affects all the joints causes stiffness and sometimes I can't walk. So Lucy takes powerful medication, which also suppresses her immune system's ability to protect itself from infections. My immune system does not function well. Well doesn't really function at all. But I do tend to pick out coughs and colds and sniffles sore throats if I just around people. I live as a total recluse on my iron but that's what I have to do to to stay healthy. And this means contain is a big threat to. Lucy. So at this point, lucy son was feeling really sick and they was a risk he might have covid nineteen though it seems he wasn't eager to take testify doubt. It's important to say that Lucy son didn't want to be part of the story. Sorry. These impressions only. But this was a time when Victorian health authorities wanted everyone even with modest symptoms to get tested to help contain the pandemic Lucy didn't know what to do so I said well. What makes you think that it's crap and he said, well, I've been reading on the government website and it says the tests that they give you. Is just the test corona viruses in general, not specific to. Sarah's To the one that causes covid nineteen then her sunset Lucy a screen shot of a website he'd seen on facebook and it was from CDC Dot Gov Had the link at the top and pretty said what he'd said. But it had like highlights across the words and a big Red Maka pen round

"Good advice and when you're a contender do do you carry much yourself. Do you like to have some things on you. I usually have you know the sex overnight. My head to trees pretty heavy so I have and one of those Innovate race fast. And not has the pocket so on the night section I tend to somebody gives me some food instead and don't eat too old and I can just put you away and also if I'm carrying a map or anything and I've got laser pockets in school skit. Ah I wa and usually the map and food like jelly babies can go in the pockets for that overnight. I'll put it in and then sometimes times like on the patio definitely saw. I might need to carry a rucksack because if he couldn't imagine across the bow fallon and across from both are really to the finish your own fairly rocky stuff. It's fairly hard for a supposed to get near you. Because this is so a single track lucky path. And they don't gene around on the Rox as well. So that's the place where I think Might carry a bit more if you don't make but generally I carry the rucksack all the way around I mean that's one of the benefits of having the support that you've trained with a heavy sack you take off your back. Can you feel quite light. Love people cell just off on the first leg except to see how it goes and then if they find using it they keep on if they find. They're not because the support. Doing everything think they can put take offer faculty or The mail so I find most people most people try and do and also on the first leg. Ah Short support. That's where you really need one because you fairly fresh yourself fairly with it might be worth just setting off with it and saying how you feel. Well it's been really calming.

We had this kind of conversation. The last time we were about things that could derail your round that you ah. You'd never thought about an and some saying what if you lay snaps on your on your shoe or something like that. How kind of belt and braces are you about spares of Kitten Extras I call it a useful back and it has stuff in it. That would hopefully fix anything. I mean. Obviously it's very right support. They gossip in it and laces string scissors needles Sewing stuff just in and and basically stuff that I think would be needed to fix even superglue Anything and then I tend to have a bad like shoes. And all you know from carrying in the way so you don't have sped up salute everything but ninety nine percent of the time you don't need them but then like on a Bob Graham cracker where my hand says thing. I also was useful superbike because I knew there was some various amounts to hide. I stayed in there as well as various amounts of like types. "And there's a good film all about it on Net flicks which will tell you more at a more leisurely pace. The last time I spoke to who you had got a place as for the Barkley Marathons which obviously since we've since we've spoken. You've you've gone and participated in but it was another Barkley marathons thousands where no one finished the second year in a row where that's happened. I watched the film about it. You know it's fixed from a few years ago just recently. Because I've heard about about having watched so I sort of feel now like I understand the eccentricities of the of the event and you taught me through some of the entry ECCENTRICITIES less time. How was it than to to go and participate in it? Yeah slightly surreal. Get that because there's so many hurdles compose before you you've got the star Star was a big huge relief. I hadn't slept the night before because he you know he's got twelve hours to blow the call eight eight in the morning so of course I always just wait most of the night. 'CAUSE WE'RE GONNA come site and sleep and I just wished we'd south south anyway. Setting is great and actually I suppose having daylight if asleep. What's the best way because at least it meant we could? I could say look about and I think all the genes try and find someone. That's done it before. So lead them around a little bit and the veterans don't mind is it was so so strange for me to be following somebody. Because I'm just so you know the rounds and on my racist I like to know where I'm going to call them. UN Human Rights and found a free to run heart in Champigny works in Afghanistan occasionally writes for outside magazine. She's at running case on twitter and she was the veteran runner. That Nikki teamed up with The Barclays fecal just go on a dive at bearing but there's also by either by the side of a stream would make big differences to rain and she knew stuff like that so we kept a company for the first time it was me billie arrayed. He was new as well to all wait latched onto Stephanie. and Go and they get the whole I together and then went out on the second Lupin. We're not spend well none of us. To take enough clothes we will absolutely ferries inside was tonto packing but we left. Well I didn't leave Steph. I was it was really hope. I really want to pack in But I just thought I'm leaving her out here on the road and since she showed us all around the loop so joking on the spot all behind Trying to make think there's just doing this because she was slightly because she wasn't it was just so cold I was trying to stay warm. And then she stopped she just said you guys could be on On absolutely frozen something we should talk in like we will just yeah. Yeah Yeah. Let's see. How long does it take you to get back to the start from where you'd me hours because it goes laws gives he these WHOA? She's the set to zero. When you self so off the twenty four hours you brains bit bottles and you don't really know what time time is self hoffe nine so you added nine foul onto what everybody said and that was the time of day so into around go more difficult? And and all those all those slightly confusing elements to food that he puts into disorientate the participants and try and make it more of a challenge. Did you did you enjoy all that. Was it out of your usual. Confirm Way. You've planned and organized all the logistics around an event. I think I just realized that the only way to sort of stay with it is to not get bothered about the lack of sleep. I know I just wasn't getting positive. Our I read my book Calill that and just rested because the more you get both about the more it will affect you it perform and how you are so you need to sell valley. Just chill kilter those one of the things I got from the film which is a nice thing to watch. But it's not a beautiful area particularly or it doesn't look on the on the film home and a lot was made of the awful brambles and things that you scrabbling soon everyone's legs get depart. Is it the worst terrain you run on. How does it compare to other places thing pete with things like the war thing runs where we go running in the dark? We've had to chase and quiet love the mentalities that you just go in a straight line some of the valleys round. It could be quite steep and you'll drop down to the river and I just just it was just about doing twenty four hours of that sold stuff but you just wouldn't voluntarily run through brambles in England and not what's what you have to do when you own a battering because you yeah bramble this is everywhere on the floor. They call them briars. So the more light rose who's Bush's they go straight up and they all have the very sharp things on the fact the worst areas where they cut down on the way up to the fire tower. 'cause then they will be tangles and they go background he likes but I also like Oh some orienteering gators from bashes they call them and while they were in tears too and they were and they just saved buttons on my legs and then my thighs got trashed. Because I wo- shows during the day when I put my lungs or that wasn't too bad the night you know the broncos in the brambles dig into the LYCRA but that didn't seem to they seem to brush off so so I was really bad and I've got all cycling gloves on Manhattan's life. English ones see no the people on photos doing not not helped law because as you as we were sliding down the hills you need something to stop here so you were grabbing hold of whatever switching out and grabbing home sometimes if you go Bryan that that would've been really painful but they cycling cycling clubs as well. It seems like you've learned law and would you do again. What go back I'd like to? Yeah I mean it's funny as we were walking down off. Do we decided to quit. Steph said to me you know you coming by knows no rubbish race on the show. She says wait. Wait till next week and it didn't even take a week the next day I was like. Yeah but if I'd taken can more wool clothes and we would have done this and now I know the rue and now's ace and I should try. Give those guys. It's all down to laugh. The weather we get in again so to go through the process again and there is that sort of tantalizing target of the fact that so far no woman is as completed a nice a nice ago for you would think the first go be the fun run under three loops and then yeah 'cause like says he's not making. The statistics are less and less people the finishing yet. Listen to this noise. Sound off some of the soil.

"Episode should be quite straightforward. We'll keep up. Today's with those springtime training. Diaries of Mark Beeney Tim me plenty of people. Remember to record this month and I finally get through you too nicky spinks to talk to her about another of her remarkable double rounds. Nikki please thank you. And those Barkley Marathons. Hi Nikki. Is Bob Sorry about that. No that's all right now. You've worked on a farm. I guess things running time all the time looking around. The cows is all well on the farm to a weaker or so ago. You did the Double Patty Buckley. How are you failing a little bit because it now I've been for two runs? Yeah the first one was sally nice and then last last night I felt fairly heavy but usual really sound doing doesn't salaries tomorrow and not fat tests all just self respecting eighteen miles and two thousand two client maybe shop to the body. Which of the running cycle will do enjoy? Most G love the training of the event. How do you feel post event? Which of the whole cycle of things you probably feel most comfortable excellent trainings? Good I really enjoy going to Wales and and McCain and the same with the rooms in the BJ. I I really enjoyed the racking. You never feel like you've done. Enough wrecking the two weeks. Before you actually attempts he's always a little bit not pleasant And then offshoots yeah. It's a great feeling now to be tired but now you've done it Y- satisfying when we last time you'd said the Potty Buckley was as your favorite round is it still Yes yeah is an anti clockwise isn't bad there's a couple of horrible sense but Are Quite pleasantly surprised that it's not just really the hills at that but it's a lovely inquire most of the hills apart from snowden Wales alike as well lovely postseason get your everywhere and the thesis fish and chips shops in the free parking. No I I love uh-huh North Wales and and the potty book clear route it so so different every like you get the really long like knowledge colleagues had to be bulky lakes and then the shore shop like like until rich up down up down all the ways only about fourteen eighteen miles. But it's a package little punch in now and it's really beautiful on the rich out. Probably my least favorite because you meet more people. Haven't it's just taking them. It's new and exciting. When you first go explore things like quarries that you don't find the Lake district but she just had this a huge diamond show history onto it and you were the first to do a double Ramsey? has anyone done a double patty before the I know over anyone else no in particular another i. Do you feel that you cited your appetite for doing that. Length of you've saying or you still looking at those sort of enormous endurance things for you And then to the towards you setup even longer the Va ah you got one hundred. Eighty three hundred kilometers. And you got one hundred fifty hours to finish which is why what done so far. Twenty four thousand house need to climb so I did seventeen thousand on the patio. The climbs not really freaking me out. Because I could have done not off to the party but like some feel too must state where little bit about it but then again you've got to manage my feet and it's a race so it's not the same help support helping me. All the way around they kept going. Okay myself downs. Run on hunting down about halfway through. Today's twenty twenty five miles so far so good engineering I someone I know rain making progress. Everything's would still stick still doc realizing that just this was quite boring and hard work just keeping running actually some of the uphill welcome relief and it might be kind of the pace of the day when you make an attempt. Uh rundown woke up by the south downs way so gentle that you could really run lots of most of it you can get very statement but undulating Roth Quad long way longer than there's also dishonest shortening and feeling optimistic hypo update number two..

The Global Economy: US manufacturing survey shows worst reading in a decade and the WTO downgrades the trade volume

"We begin today with the aforementioned slice of the American economy manufacturer ing the Caveat here is that you can't can't tell the whole story of this economy from just one number of course but a report we got today about. US manufacturing is causing a little bit of Aga it comes to was from the Institute for Supply Management. It provides an index or whether the manufacturing is expanding or contracting from month to month. That's Sharyn o'halloran. She's professor of Political Economy at Columbia. The manufacturing index came out. This morning is pretty straight ahead. If it's above fifty fifty manufacturing is expanding below that it's shrinking what we've seen in this latest report is that the index spell below fifty forty seven point eight to be precise signifies. A worsening of manufacturing tring conditions in the in the United States that is manufacturing industries are facing a downturn. Today's number was in fact. The lowest is the index has been in more than ten years manufacturing is not the largest component of the economy is a significant component when there's a contraction in manufacturing other types of sectors will probably follow because it could be layoffs it could be different types of negative activities that are going to happen as a result of it so what is going on here. You know really indicates to me that what's driving. This is our lack of new export orders. That's Timothy Furey. SM He chairs the committee that puts out the survey in question this is more of I think it's more more of a trade throttling it's it's caused a lot of bottlenecks across the global environment not good for the manufacturing economy yeah not good for the manufacturing fracturing. Konami all spink trade bottlenecks and throttling of the global environment let us turn now to the WTO the World Trade Organization. Shall we twice a year the economists honest the WTO get together and go through their models in their crystal balls and tell the rest of us how much trade they're expecting in the next couple of years and you know where this is going right. Their latest I forecast out today shows a sharp drop in the growth of trade from where they were expecting just six months ago in April. Thinking was we'd see trade volumes grow two point six percent this year now just one point two percent its backdrop so we asked marketplace's. Tracey Samuelson to figure out what has changed in the past six months this forecast is downgrade from what the WTO was expecting in April and that was a downgrade from what it was expecting last September Coleman knee and economist in the research in statistics division at the WTO says we're already seeing slower trade growth show up in the data. What's happened is the trade growth in the first half of the year of Twenty nineteen was much listen we expected so we were forced to revise our forecast down pretty substantially. He says there is a number of reasons why there's slowing economic growth in major economies uh-huh and regions in Asia and Europe a bit in the US and that reduces demand for it for all kinds of goods including imports. It's lying. Economic growth doesn't totally explain the slowing growth in trade volumes. There's something else what could it be since April. The trade dispute has only escalated. Fan Vino is the US chief economist SNP Global. We've had the United States add more tariffs on now three hundred billion of Chinese products and still more tears to take effect in December. Eastward facade is a trade policy professor at Cornell has been a fundamentally evaluation about what the prospects for dissolving the retention. It's become clear that the US China trade tensions are here to stay so precise says businesses are reevaluating their supply chains and putting investment plans on hold which can ultimately mean less trade.
