All the biggest announcements from Ubisoft's Forward event

"Forward was yesterday a bunch of stuff got announced. We want to give you a recap of it. immortals. Phoenix rising was revealed of course, gods and monsters re renamed redone. It's covering the December third I. It's coming to deep breath playstation for playstation five, xbox one series series s switch PC. An Stadia on December third stadium however is getting demo before launched that'll be exclusive. Stadia it'll be a unique island. It's coming sometime later this year before December third busing you liked what you play this game yeah. No I enjoyed it like I've said this before, but it's basically you be Saas version breath wild and I think that very much shows each and every way where you have so many of the mechanics and ideas from breath while the climbing and like the the they have a shrine Like replacement in in Gaza and immortals Phoenix rising, they have the open world that is filled with puzzles and all this stuff play lot somewhere at ease. But then also if you'll. If. You'll structured like a Yousof game and I was actually talking to my roommate Michael about this last night. But he was very much like seems like breath breathalyzer came out and it it copied a lot of what you saw is doing and we saw Admiral Hey we can be. Doing I feel like that's a pretty apt way to put it almost when you look at the towers and stuff breath wild. Stuff manifest this. Game though has me excited. For I'm. Coming to next Gen, I think is exciting. I N necessarily expected not to, but this plus came out in. February and so I think I had the question of all right what does this release look like and so that's an exciting thing I. wonder if it looks better, I wonder how I wonder what the differences between the two skews It also coming to switch is really exciting because I was thinking they revealed that surprise me you know especially with the breadth of wild similarities that coming to switch I think is going to be interesting for that audience to see how people will take to it whether people flocked to order people are put off to put off by it. I. My my thing in this isn't me knocking it right breath. The wild part of that game I thought was the journey across the island and making it feel like you're making big steps watching What we saw last night from Phoenix rising. It seemed like traversing the island in getting around seemed quicker. Is that an apt description or is that just what made to look like? I think that's apt but I also wonder how late in the game that is because when I jumped in halfway through I, wonder if we're at the beginning of the game, does heal a lot slower because that is my thing with breath to you a breath breath the wild. One. Of The wild one. Breath wild felt like one of the biggest open world games I played even though it probably like in scale of the map, it probably isn't as like it probably isn't that big you know in reality but the way in which they approach like that journey aspect of it makes it feel like it's huge near exploring all these different things in that like you know you really feel like you're going. Through journey because you're kind of exploring that world slowly and meticulously, and you know, they give you the the paraglider thing early in the game breath wild Ryan so like they give you some of those those those tools to explorer in like go through the island quicker. But even even with that Econo, still feel like you're tracking few and You know really getting everything out of the map. Immoral Phoenix rising when I was playing did feel a bit like quicker and did feel be onto the next thing right? You feel like you are going to the next class breath while didn't really have A. The has system, but it's not as traditional and strict as. A. Lot of other similar open World Games try immoral Phoenix rising does seem to have a quest system that is a bit stricter in terms of, hey, go do this thing called the next question? Do this thing called? The next. Which? I think a lot of people who may not have liked breath wild for that are going to like a moral phoenix rising for its structure. But I think that also means that you might be exploring this game at a particular pace is probably going to be a bit quicker. I don't think it is going to be the man. What is this? What we're here I'M GONNA I'M GONNA check this out like this who unique thing that you've never seen before that that that blows your mind I don't know how those moments you're gonna get but you are going to have like open world puzzles and things that are discoverable just maybe not on the level of breath. Wow. Okay I had zero hype for this game and then washing shows like Oh shit I'd like to play that and I think December's time for to after like the run to black Friday new consoles or out every starting to chill and settle for the holidays. This seems like a game I play in Madame. On top of that, then prison persia the sands of time remake was announced coming January twenty first. Every of the current generation no Nexgen for it your Yuri Lowenthal is back. That's right. Spiderman of self animal prints the original prints from Principia. Exciting for that. Looking forward to playing that I said, every said current is it switched to I don't think I actually did I miss that I'm not sure I. Can you thank you very much check on that hyperscale got a little shoutout it's still free. They showed some stuff I didn't pay attention Rainbow six siege world got something there. But I in the Rainbow six siege way you off on twitter pointed out Upgrade Rainbow six siege. To Jen Councils at no additional cost in play in one hundred and twenty frames per second at four K.. Then, Scott Pilgrim vs the world. The game complete edition was announced. That's coming holiday twenty twenty as well washed. Prime showing WHO's the rapper whose in it? And Watch. Storms he they showed him getting more captive for his rap session. They reiterated October twenty ninth as a release date in the announced that aiden pierce the of protagonist from the originals watchdogs will be part of the season pass. You can get there if you want there is. One Prince Persia knock coming to switch it was. The XBOX IN PS four xbox and PS four. Yeah and then to I would like to apologize to date appears fans I. During the Stream I very much. That hey, nobody's a fan of aiden pierce nobody cares about eating peers. there. Weren't even that many wash dogs. One fans etcetera etcetera. And, yeah, the in Pierce Fans showed up in my mentions let me know they. Let me know they exist inside out here out here issue I like to issue a public apology to every eight and peers fan i. see you I hear you I understand that you exist in frantic. Now, frame did not pop out. There is going to be another ubisoft forward in the coming months. But before then before the end there, one more thing was writers republic Again, from the people who made steep this giant multiplayer online game, you're all doing outdoor shit like riding bikes and snowboarding and jumping off crap and doing races is coming February twenty fifth twenty, twenty one and gamespot reports even though that's after the launch of the. Series x? US. Offering free upgrades from PS four and xbox one versions to their respective next Gen versions, which is a very nice move on their part. Hopefully, they're committed to this. Yeah. Talk about this because you tim immediately lit up for this one and I mean, we started reading twitter. Yeah. I don't know exactly what it is about this game I don't know if there's one thing about this game rows like this me this is what I need but like the more and more they show during that trailer because it was it was a long trailer, the more and Morales like. No. Yeah. This seems like it has a fun like it seems like a fun combination of quite a few ubisoft games. Right has a lot of steep in. It seems like it has some trials in it even seems like it has some far cry in it. When you look at the world and you look at the some of the colors you see an almost has like some rage in it all. You know when you look at when you look at the colors i. I want to know more about what structure of the game is like. Is it battery Al is a like fog is, is it just you're doing a bunch of different activities that that scale based on how many players? There are ten players to thirty whatever I'm more curious about that. But from the stuff they show they show a game that was very similar to graffiti from Tony Hawk. Where graffiti is the game where like it's a multiplayer game where if you do a trick on a ramp or like on a grind or whatever yellow then color that the ramp or or the grind your color, and you are essentially doing as matrix all over the map as you can in order to take over the map versus your opponent almost kind of platoon ish in a way. They showed a game battle is very much that we've made me go. Oh, snap. All right. This seems like it has a lot in in terms of the different, the different ways in which you can have fun. So all about it looks cool. It looks like it's going to grow over time I'm surprised it's coming out so soon.

Will Marvel re-cast Black Panther following death of Chadwick Boseman?

"After the death of Black Panther's star Chadwick Boseman fans are taking to social media to demand that his role not be recast and future Sequels. Fill. This brings to question what the Black Panther re casting process would look like if it were to happen. Joining us with more on the KCBS Bring Central News Line is Tim Grey, senior vice president at Variety magazine. So Tim, what's your thoughts on this? Marvel is going to be in a bit of a pickle for the foreseeable future. Yeah, I mean, I think I think it's the there's an online state of mind, and it's like whenever they announced the new James Bond or when they would notice a new spider man. People online are saying no, that this person is going to be terrible. And then the actor turns out to be good, and they like the film. I cannot imagine. I've seen people suggesting that they just canceled the film supposed to be released in 2022. I think that's not gonna happen. I think I think they'll probably recast it. I mean, they could explain that by saying, you know, he is being reborn or regenerated or or they could just do like to do with James Bond. It's just he walks in, says I'm James Bond and everything's okay. All right. I'll accept that. Is. Is there anybody from the previous movie that you think might take up that mantle? Could they even put a female in the role of Black Panther? Well, I mean, that's an interesting idea. I mean, you know, again with the Spiderman into the spider verse, I mean, there were about 15 different Spider men of like all ages and races. You know, there could be that. I think you know Michael B. Jordan was was really great in the first film, thinking that he could take over. There's a lot of good actors. I think it's possible possible T catch an unknown, but I think I think you know the film will go ahead and and and I'm guessing that fans will embrace it. But People really loved that movie and and and they loved him in it. And so its people are in a little bit of shock right now. And you and you hate to be so blunt when something is so fresh like this, But Marvel is a company and it will come down eventually to dollars and cents for them. Yeah, well, I mean, the first movie made a billion dollars, so the idea that they would Just mix a sequel. I think that's not gonna happen. But I also think fans when they're over the initial shock of his death, I think they will want to see another Black Panther movie. I mean, I I want to see another Black Panther movie. Um, I'm curious to see what they do with it. But But Ryan Coogler, who directed the first one is working on the second one, and he's really smart. He's got really good taste. So I I have Ah, lot of faith in him.

Every nonprofit has its own origin story,

"Like many small nonprofits founded in memory of the loved one should we use the origin story or stay away from it? Any downsides to an origin story? Absolutely no downsides in my opinion where I think I made I think origin stories are really powerful when it's a nonprofit that was funded in memory of a loved one I. Think you run the risk depending on who is telling that origin story can get? Can can be less effective if not done the right way. So here's where I'm going with this like. So you've lost lets me right I've lost a loved one. I create you know my own little charity for it and My own nonprofit for it and Ben. Every time I'm telling my origin story I am so wrapped up in the emotion of of the origin of it that like I, the person doesn't even know. I can't get past that because I'm just stuck on. Oh, my God this tragic horrible thing that happened my tears are flowing, and this is what made me create XYZ nonprofit a wild that's passionate a think it can make donor uncomfortable or the donor wants Kinda no well then tell me more about what? You're doing as a result. How are you helping others as a result? The origin story a is is a great opportunity to lead into other stories right so so it's not just stuck on the founding founding is great and has a purpose, but it can lead to talking about the need you identified, which is why you even created the nonprofit nothing else exists like it hopefully right or whatever the case might be or or it helps lead to an impact story. So so I think you just really have to think about origin is powerful it also. It also can be really. done poorly if not, if it's not the right person the story and doing it, you know kind of leading it to a larger picture story. I think one of the things he said was, but I think the key there is that it needs to lead to the impact story, right so because as humans we we respond well to narrative like we wanted we want to know what the story is. We want to know why your organization exists and if it's your right, if it's something, that's that's GonNa that's GonNa be more make me more connected to the organization after hearing it if it's something that's going to connect with me and make me think that this is something that I want to be involved in I think that's good. But but you're right there's a sort of a fine line between. Like Like almost too much information, right like I get it, you can stop now. Like I really yeah I don't need to be that connected to you to be on its threat and connecting to that impact story where he's saying okay great I'm glad that that made you really really sad tell me what we're doing about it like tell me and give me the story of how that works. For me being super cynical. Is I think the most effective And one final thought on this I do think you WanNa look at who's sharing your stories. Obviously, I'm a huge believer that everyone in an organization staff volunteers, board members hopefully, they all have stories to pull from so that they can talk about the organization right in a compelling way but we'll share this sort of personal experience. I had a nonprofit years ago reach out to me because they're founder and is oftentimes happens with founder led organizations. Sorry founders but it basically the founder. Couldn't get past sort of it was all about I. Did this I this and it the staff and the board met board members were really concerned because they said it just feels. Kind of turning people off right and then a helping. So so if you are listening in your a founder, watch yourself a little bit on that it definitely should be larger than yourself. You can spend a brief moment talking about the I part, but it it needs to quickly turn into the we and they and you as a donor. Here's how you can help right or here's how you as a person can help. The. A good point too because the the purpose of it isn't the purpose of an organization isn't really to help alleviate one person's pain even though that may have been what started the whole thing that made have been the impetus to make a fantastic organization. Fantastic. Let's organizations I work with. We've been really clear about there is a there is a tour that you will do the bring people into especially of a space that you need to share. You'll bring people in and there's a very specific written tour that people work on that inserts places as you're walking people around the space, you're talking about certain things than having some sort of story about something. The reason that this were standing in this place, and here's the reason that this is important and here's a story that's going to give you more information. To. Help you connect this physical activity that we're doing this physical space that we're in with something that's going to help the community in a meaningful way that that can relate back to your origin story. If that's important but a Lotta Times, it shouldn't a lot of times it should be talking about what we're doing right now to solve whatever challenge that we're solving, how the thing that we're doing right now helps the community and why where you're standing as important as part of that too. So you know I think I think origin stories are. Superhero movies tell us anything people like hearing them. Over and over and over again. It seemed like nine Spiderman movies that are basically he gets bit by spider again wait you'll be surprised. It's a spider bites. Radioactive. So so like like having that next story is probably important to.

Does Halos Delay Help PS5s Launch

"I do want to jump into what is the biggest next-gen news and it's not playstation five related. Exactly. But I do think it will have an impact on Kiev's five going into this fall, and that is, of course, the news that just a little bit before we started recording which is the fact that Halo Infinite has been delayed into twenty twenty one. It's no longer set for a day at least with the xbox series X. so as xbox one empty versions are also coming out next year. Alongside, that Microsoft did kind of help soften the blow I think mentioned. Oh, by the way it's coming in November. Again, not an exact date but narrowing it down to a month and surprise surprise it's November but they also did sort of mentioned in. The outlined what their plans are for the launch window. So they said, you know there will be over a hundred xbox series acts optimize titles in between games that are made exclusively for next Jenin pc or for games that are made for xbox one as well. That will have like series ax improvements, and of course, they're also touting the fact that they have four generations of backward compatibility, and so you can play thousands of games at launch. I want to get to sort of the way that they're framing the entirety of all of this stuff but I wanna take a look specifically at Halo I. Th they they give some explanation for it. Essentially saying there's been a number of factors that caused the delay and one of them. Of course, being be impact of COVID. Nineteen on you know working from home and having to deal with such big title from home obviously three three as a huge. Studio and I think a lot of the discussion we've seen since this announcement has definitely been a whole you know trying to get in the first take of whether or not. This is good for Microsoft Japan, for Microsoft good for halo bad for halo good for Sony Bad. For Sony, I? Think we've seen like everyone trying to jump the gun whether or not it is good or bad and I think the answer is somewhere in the middle. I definitely want to hear both of your thoughts about it because I've been thinking to myself. Of course, we will be hours but Brian how did how did you take this announcement? I think in terms of means for Xbox this fall and what it means for playstation this fall so Obvious Caveat I'm not a big Halo Guy. That said I am a big video guy I'd love console launches I'm fascinated in the between a large swath of dedicated consumers becoming not so dedicated hopping from platform to platform the sort of like you know the turns throughout the time of of how People have gravitated towards systems and made them. Dominant launch console is always interesting to me. My immediate reaction was like this really sucks. Not even because I had any full intention of playing this at launch although I do have intention buying a serious a series excellent they one but because this, I think. This changes. The conversation around launch consoles, launch games. It changes the conversation around A justification people might have to gravitate towards the system which I think deflates competition a little bit and I think competition is a tremendously important thing in this and every medium and so. It's kind of a bummer. It is interesting though because I do think that like it opens up a different outlet for Microsoft, as you can see, they're already doing with that press release this morning or this afternoon which will try to differentiate their presence. This November against playstations I think playstation is going to be like. This is this big gigantic, shiny new thing with exclusive games and Spiderman and Microsoft's. It's going to be like thousands, hundreds, millions they're going to say like with playstation they were going to be like we have this. Is must have individual detail this thing, this game, this moment, this controller, this new design and Microsoft is GonNa go we have so much stuff just tons and tons of stuff, and so I think it'll be sort of a jack of all trades master of none historic. If you look back especially this generation launch game sucked like. Like it was really not a lot going on The the best exclusive for US exclusive there you know the xbox one which rolled out with a litany of its own personal problems launched a with exclusives like there was a forza obviously. Dead rising. Four. Killer instinct like. Big stuff but not logos. Yeah exactly. Not Really. Like, swing for the fences you know be the first ten, million type of situation

"What's up everybody is you and skipping meals David Hatfield joining this week is Tina mini everybody just Davis. Scoop and friend and SAM clayborn. We've got a great show for you this week we're going to talk about. The crazy crazy crazy deal about spiderman being exclusive to playstation. In Marvel's AVENGERS WE'RE GONNA flip through the August nineteen ninety issue of video games and computer. Entertainment. But I. Really all you need to know right now is that spunky to is finally finally coming out, September fifteenth just over month away I couldn't be more excited listeners and my friends on the show have long long heard me talk about how much I love love love spunky. Maybe my favorite game of all time cheese maybe I don't know why does it need sequel? Doesn't necessarily need one, but the like I, I. You know spunky. So brilliant and they've spent so much time making the sequel like I'm really excited to see you know how do you with with this one and what? During their, how deep they're going to get maybe they'll go so that they a lava world. You, what do you want different in this game? Necessarily different but I mean just play spunky I can't believe. We're still talking about this. You don't want the game he don't own a to do extra. This is the problem is that people like you demand sequels and they should be made everything was fine. I was I was never demanding a sequel I've been excited for the sequel though it was announced we've had to edit these episodes several times to remove your demands they're getting increasingly. Violent. My demand for this game increases. If you're if you're an Egyptian prime subscriber, you dame, it's eighteen minute weekly rant on spunky to yeah they go to edit editor. Yup you can download them. Eric while you're excited for this game looks like it has more digging. Know. It's all about systems. Interacting with each other in in unexpected surprising things on your quest to reach the end of the game. So I'm just excited for all the new stuff that they're going to add to the game. Off many many different ways to unexpectedly die during a I love spunky and. I was just joking about all that before I think the cool thing about spunky is the thing I like about Mario Brothers Games where it's like. So focused on secret stuff and as people discovered all the secrets. That that probably alone gave me hope that this game would just be like just full of like crazy cool Meta difficult things to accomplish. That that's why I needed a sequel, you catch all the seeking discover all the secrets you need more secrets. To. Shoot up date. They're like we added a bunch of secret stuff. That's the patch notes like that's the patch. This passes a secret. Good candidate for guides him. It is it is although it's kind of a it's really hard to write guides for Rogue Lakes because I'm you can kind of like classify like eventually with speeding this game became really interesting spunky because. You know there was like a type of orientation of the first level that like made sense to not restart on I think. That's really cool. Right. People basically start breaking the game to figure that stuff out but otherwise, you just gotta be like. You might see a snake. Not If. You know there's there's like a shortcuts to people could take that are built into the game that aren't yet I don't break the game. Yeah. You can tell people never to pick up certain weapons and stuff like that I. Think there is a There's an element to that type of strategy guide writing, which is interesting because there's there's a there's a public out there that I know people don't don't expect this. But it's true that just read from start to finish a game skied while they play it and I did that when I when I was a kid rock Tynan skied and didn't lessen my enjoyment of the Game I. Love The indepth page by page look at all the stuff in this game aspect that guy and people like that. So that's different from like a spunky guide readers like here's some tips. Good luck. And then apparently also. The Sony State of play today it was announced at Alan wake is coming to control DLC. Correct, but we don't have more information than that. Yeah. Honestly. I had like a I haven't been able to watch state of play in its entirety myself, but it was narrated to be my friendly gears. He makes an appearance and it has been long speculated that the DNC in meant in question would be across over with Alan. Wake. So this kind of confirms it but apparently, the trailer did not divulge much more about like. Easter kind of character or is this going to be like a playable character or villain may be and I? I guess I didn't catch this while I was playing control but I suppose or maybe I don't remember but I suppose we're a lot of references to a writer. So that's why we're the relations coming

Marvel's Avengers: Retailer Says Spider-Man PS4 Exclusive Listing Not Correct

"Spiderman may be exclusive to the playstation version of Marvel's avengers a since removed product blurb on the retail website based dot listing for the upcoming Marvel's avengers game noted that Spiderman would be exclusive to the playstation four version of the game and by extension the playstation five version when that releases. Andy Robinson reported on the detail for Video Games, Chronicle Dot, com, and wrote it's not clear if the marketing blurb was supplied by publisher square, inex- However the company has previously confirmed has a global marketing deal with playstation and that there would be surprises for playstation players. That story is linked in the show notes and would be undeniably pretty big surprise for playstation players. It would make sense to considering Sony's part ownership relationship with. The character Spiderman has been a weirdly important element of Sony's business for some time. Sony makes money off all Spiderman Marvel movies and the playstation three pretty much wholesale news these Spiderman Font established by these Sam Raimi's spider man films for its logo, and then of course, there is the INSOMNIAC developed Spiderman game that Sony published which performed so well that it led Sony to finally put a ring on insomniacs finger and purchased the studio.

Worldwide is already available in some territories as where speaking so congratulations to you on the team on that It's very exciting for to finally be out there as a fan of it and I'm sure it must be exciting for the team. Yes, it's a super exciting to have it out. There cited everybody host their photo mode favorites sin. Just enjoy the Games. I feel like an Brian I think this is true for both you and me. We could probably spend the next forty minutes talking exclusively about photo mode. Yeah, no I. Just get into that very quickly. What you've created, my favorite voted in video game history, but also. You might notice you. Create one of the most not-so-subtle advertising tools. That is perfect for this game. Because every time I seen pictures of it I WANNA? Play it again, and I think for a lot of people who were just sort of like on the outside, looking in a video games in general like people who aren't just totally head down on stuff all the time. They're like wait what that's! That's a video game. Where do I play I play it? They're going to get that so Yeah, that's a very very smart. If you guys it's absolutely stunning game. A cool. Photo of his crazy because we were one of the first, you know infamous second son was one of the first. At least I know of modern games that have put like a like a photo mode in in that game. It was just like this cool idea to show off all the cool particles and lighting. That game was a while known for. But it was wasn't crafted as a personality around. It was the cool photo mode, and then over time over the last few years. You have these games that out and Spiderman my favorite of version of this where they like adds the flavor of their game to its photos like tied to the personality of that gain. On, the building tops, doing like little cell fees and Doing it with a phone. That was awesome made it. You need to spiderman so when we were like. Hey, what are we gonNA do for voter mood? To? Whatever the ghost photo mode. One, it's gotta be way better than our first one because. Our, follow up one and two. It's gotta be semantically. You know connected to the game, so we're like. Well motion in Wind I. Haven't we like? Make it less about a static image. You can do that, too, but have be about moving frame that I think is so beautiful about our game kind of spun out from there. I didn't think it was odd that you give the main character, a Selfie, stick and the iphone. His drone that goes along with. Little you know little out of place, but I thought butyl. Oh God you know it's been incredible thing to play around with, and you can do what Brian said. Every time I see more of it. It's one of those things where I've been playing every night. Still in, it's like Oh, no, I need to go jump back in the middle of the day. Because like Oh. That's a great spot I never thought. I could take a photo of I've been a particularly obsessed with going to bamboo strike locations and trying to get all the great photos. I cannot have those spot often. You know like perfectly placed at an edge or something. I sort of wondering. Because obviously this was built more with like the photo mode in mind as you development went on, because it's become so much bigger, what was world creation influenced at all by the photo mode, or were there any aspects of designing this game that were influenced by it because it is more like prevately used feature these days I guess than back when second came out. You know. A little secret you know we. We always knew we'd have a photo modem. We knew that this ambitious version of like I. said a second ago better and more dramatically connected. Owning, really work on it until pretty late, so you know we were so. Dedicated to the stories in crafting the world, so when it came to the beauty of the world. That add add everything that's in the game. I would have to imagine that that had the most iterating over anything, because it's one of the first things you do before you have the whole story articulated and put into the game. Certainly don't have cut scenes. You know it's like you're laying out terrain and at that like how does the island look and then it gets into the direction the feeling Cutting, trees down growing trees, making procedural tools like the world is the by far the most iterative on thing now. There was a point where we're like. This is how we make our game. Look good clearings. Big giant swath of like in forests, you know that you can see for miles. Off using color as like landmarks again, the Golden Forest, or read flower fields, and then, and then a you know, certainly that sort of made its way into some of our features of a photo, but the the world designed stuff. took the lead on on end photo mode. Okay, now that we've created this amazing awesome place. How do we utilize the photo mode in like critical photo that will. Take advantage of how great our team at did at creating a beautiful world. I think one of my favorite things about this game is the sort of balanced that it's constantly striking Between being sort of completely serene, and then the music swells up and swords or out, and they're slashing against each other. How hard was it to sort of get that that tone down because I could see. You know I think in in lesser hands I could be a very kind of dangerous. Push and pull, but I feel like you totally nailed that and I think that that's like some people when they look at an open world game want like nonstop jam-packed activities in in your team made the decision to pull back and let things breath every now and then How did all that come together? Well you know for me. It's the first game that I was certainly a visual director on, and so I I would I you learn something about yourself with everything you create, and for me I personally learned that I don't have a natural tendency to like create incredible. Violence, I just wasn't that was uneven. Favor Games, bloodborne like as absolutely my favorite game. Guide. You're on this show. This is gonNA be worthwhile and. About it anytime. But no, seriously like. That's my favorite game, but. When we were crafting the world would I navigated towards with Joanna. Who's environment our leader? This did this amazing a blog post recently on playstation bar. was the beauty of it was taking taking a moment to breathe in, and then I realized that some of my favorite games that are not. Show the classes certainly embraced the idea of atmosphere in a sense of this and you know I donate Fox's is is resonates. Conversations resonated with him as well so then then the conversation shifted into. Okay well. We definitely have it. We have a summer game. So you know without saying anything else as you say Amer game, you know you're going to be hitting things with a four-foot razor blade so. You know violence is GonNa come so we certainly work on that stuff. allied and we wanted to be great and gritty, and the you know like you really WanNa feel like you have contact when you have contact but the other stuff doesn't come as natural, and you have to actually work on that stuff to balance it out, you really do, and so that means like the idea is about creating Haiku, which was actually named idea You know really. Or believe it was taking a moment to. Allow the beauty to take hold, and not what I think is cool about the ICU that I hope people enjoy about it is is that they're not tied till like progression like you're not. You're not like intrinsically forced to go, do it? You know there's a sense of you have to have the wonder and curiosity desire to do it. It's not like game telling you go do this to reach next level certainly, a lot of that is tied to corporation auto out to have to consider that, but it is. It is a work philosophy to try to get that balance of that contrast It takes years to get right for sure. I really enjoyed the Haiku sections actually He was like you said. It's sort of provided like this. This relaxing breeder and I did like the you were able to select different things who essentially collate them into one kind of fresh Haiku each time. Yeah I I mean I did every single side quests in every single objective in this game, but I I really enjoyed those wow awesome. The accuser, some of my favorite ones to the cinematography. You know it was at the moment to like. You know certainly we call them breathing. Moments definitely say that studio, but it was kind of a moment. Regis Art Geek out a little bit like the people who do the cameras. Mottaki, they can place it in to get the right motion and you know, and then the writers have an opportunity to like. Give you give you a couple of cool options. Just the beauty kinda comes through which is which in the end has been a very positive thing for the experience. Yeah, the balance that Brian was. Speaking to how you were sort of describing how that all came together? I could imagine. It's a very fine line between making sure it's peaceful and calm in certain areas, but. It's still engaging for the player because you could always run the risk of it. Being something that the player doesn't want to engage with, but as Brian. Saying like finding those high coups feels like this wonderful moment of solace after I have assassinated an entire Cam Mongols. And need to reflect on Jin's life, but also just the world I, it's this really great balanced that a I think as Brian was sort of saying you always get in games, but it feels so refreshing to hear. And it's a huge part of our philosophy. How we treat. Treat the game. Whether it's a Haiku great example, he could probably keep talking about, but you know the music style music how the music comes on not having things like combat while you're doing, shrine climbs or anywhere near them so that we can let those be their own experience, and so are these, are we? Everything wanted these features that are not mainline missions. Our conversation is like about how much combat how much non-combat and what is the purpose and what are the? What's the feeling for its existence like what what is the emotional goal for for these features and these are conversations? We have a lot and sometimes triple times over we try. We don't like it. We try something else. Well and for me, what's really interesting is sort of the place that all of these features and the things you go on, have sort of in the context of sucker punches past work, because it is I've been such a huge fan of both cooper franchise and infamous. Stir a year and. You know you get increasingly larger, but often more urban. City expenses that you're exploring a lot. In both of those franchises to certain extent here you're out in the wild. There are of course settlements and encampments and things like that, but there is a there's a lot of stretches where it can just be the world around you that you're exploring and I was sort of wondering on a world design level. How do you? How do you balance? Making all of these locations unique to explore as well and interesting. Even though you know a lot of can just be more, the environment's like what are the challenges that come with that? Yeah, so one of our. Our Contractors Jeff He. He talks a lot about content density, and what is the correct density and I really am really thankful that he brought that conversation up to light so much because It's such a you know Thinking about if you're currently doing something, you're going across the world and run into something. How much further would you have to ride your horse before you might find the next thing, or can you see the next thing from where you currently are? How how dense is it and I really enjoyed that conversation? Because it let us think about what's the right philosophy for for our game and it it certainly it allows us to you know if we want to in one place, you just completed something, and you should be able to generally speaking, look around and find one more thing on horizon or see the shrine trying on top of the mountain. It influence our world design alive, because when we first had the game built for the I you know I'd say maybe two years. It was a lot of forest. It was a ton of trees and it was cool, but you always were felt like you were in this like. Tunnel beautiful, but really deforestation. which does a couple things one is? It is very cool, but. It makes it really hard to know where you are without a compass or many map. Something telling you kind of giving you that extra information that your brain is just really needing. So what we did is we started opening up fields and I definitely some shadow, the classes photos out and was like fields as as reference vm. Because it just feels so epic when you're going through field, but but you know the criticism it could be that it's boring or something like that, and and really have to embrace a philosophy that it won't be boring because there's beautiful music. There's five things now that you can see what you want to do next because you're in a field, there's more clearings and it created a Great beauty in the game, but also more opportunity to engage with that density and I I. Really I think that that was one of the conversations that was ongoing throughout the project, but we landed in a really. I think unique spot for. When when when you? When your team was the helping this game, you obviously weren't anticipating a significant portion of the world's population to be stuck indoors for months on end, but At one I mean there were obviously there. Are you know a lot of sort of like entertainment? Things that have come out during quarantined. That didn't really. Fair as well due to their. SORT, of like the way they were delivered or their subject material something that, but this is a game that I really more than ever appreciated as a guy who's in a two bedroom apartment really appreciated huge open fields and. Mountains in like sprawling rivers and seas and stuff like that but I think one of my favorite things about the big open fields is that there's always something? Or there is like a lone tree. And you're just sort of naturally drawn towards it, and I found that like that sort of like beautiful use of negative space to be like so powerful. In terms of like never felt to me like there's nothing ahead of you. This is boring. It always felt to me like this. Is this is this is like a sort of triumphant use of minimalism and and charging towards something. To reveal that there's like one loan item in the distance was so much more engaging tomato like at a mini map that had a hundred time trials, but Hamas other stuff like I. Found Myself uncovering the dog on the entire map which. I was I was like basically riding around in spirals like in that movie alto like I was trying to. Five is in half the time I was on foot to. It was really wonderful game to explore so I. WanNa ask you about that the. The the sort of the way exploration on unfolds in this game is something I. Really Really Love and I think a lot of open world games are going to take note of following the wind and talking to people and following Fox's two locations rather than just you know overtly stating the player. This is where you're GonNa go, or you go to. The map in this big thing opens up. All that come together. What was the push and pull on that to sort of find the right way to keep players in the no, but without making like overwhelming them with information. Yeah I'll talk about kind of our studio kind of struggles, but I also kind of throw in my own, maybe personal philosophy, too. So I. I judge Games my favorite game, especially them really harshly by. How does it feel if you're? You're actually not doing anything on the sticks. I would if you're just sitting there. Just sitting in the world, you're standing in the world. You're on your horse in the world like is there. Is there a what's the feeling and some of my favorite games by just sitting there? There's like things that go through your mind. Like why do we? What are you anticipating? That are stuck on the story or like. Where's that next objective like you're just what's going through your mind? because. That's when you're not doing anything. That's what you're thinking of next like. You're just taking in the beauty looking around our game I hope that translates into that sense of exploration and sense of curiosity like if you do stop for a second yearly, you're not already on kind of a train of thought it is more. One of curiosity is one of like. Hey, what? What do I want to do next? Oh, there's something over there. There's something of their. Oh, I wonder band before, so they're having gone to could check it out and I. think that the more information you were to have on your screen compasses many maps. It kinda answers those questions before you even have time to ask the question. It's just like the dots right there. Let's go do the DOT. It doesn't matter what the DOT is. It's just there's thing let's go do it, and so that that to me is is a really important part of what I think. The Games, Tries to do in the world, and and certainly we did not have the wind when we started on this project at all. In fact, what the wind was which is has got this cool story I'll say quick is. on the first direction slides on the you know we did. A presentation is like one of the first presentation out the way look and feel and everything moves was was one of them like a wind. We're going to double triple quadruple down on win, and you know there's a lot of attack that has to go into that. He got Capes moving I gala hair moving. You gotta get trees and Bushes, and especially for procedurally generated now artistically procedurally generated world. That's really tough. Two years later. Something like that. That became true and you've standing I'm standing in this world and we had other elements we were helped. Augmenting are kind of navigation and get around the world and I'm just like holy crap. The wind is amazing. It actually works at that time. It always like went from East West or West. East or something I can't remember always just directional and it's just. It's really good. And then we started having conversations like how going to get more stuff off the screen to stay in the is like beautiful world more and more because it's just. It's really stunning even years ago. And a one point I had this idea like. The Wind. It sounds kind of crazy and Adrian is like our longtime worked on has been sucker punch. Long Time. They tried a little quick prototype with me. We had like fifteen people play at were removed all the you I just to hey. Can you just just try to follow it and just and it sounds crazy, but follow in if you can get to that hot spring or that on. And it worked like the first prototype fourteen out of the fifteen people were able to easily get there so cool. Yeah and I. I was like Oh. Yeah, we have to do this. Question. Like. This is something that is going to be unique to the game and then an analyzing. Say on them about the wind because I can do it all day, but is it had like the matic ties to the island in historical kind of. Poetic, Tian's to you know. The Mongols came in as typhoon sweeps them all out to see and. You know we name the sword the sky storm after that you know him being a storm, a metaphorical storm on the island for for the island, rooting for the island, and then it was like about nature, and then the animals came along, and I, you know it just felt like a bunch of like one of these critical pieces you don't know exists, and then you find it, and you're like that fifth straight there and does and then nearly. Oh, I, think we have a good. I can see the puzzle now so. Cool, it was cool journey. Having having that comes away. It all it feels so true to the world that the team has created in those moments. Because you know, I'm I'm a completion is player like if you give me a list of a thousand things to go collect if you give me, you know like an infamous. Charge to go collect I. Collect all of them, but there's something that I think does speak so much to this world and end you wanting to be invested in that. It is really by pulling everything. Out of the screen that you're looking at and just letting you look at the world you get more familiar with it, and you start to learn more about Oh. Yeah, I've taken that pass before. That leads to that pillar of honor or there's that cemetery over there as you start to. Trek across the land. It really gets you invest in the world in a way that I think just having a list or a neon sign to tell you where to go would. Deliver it in the same way. Yeah, that's great. That's so. That's the goal so I'm glad you had that experience. And I it's one of those things you know that the open world I think speaks so well to what the team really accomplish with this game, but one of the things I was curious about wasn't and I know. We talked about this a little bit, but released, but since we can. Talk to the island as whole, but what was the? I? Guess the poll the. The back and forth poll of wanting to make sure you stay true to the spirit of this real world location, and honor the history and the people that are but also create a world that at the end of the day would be fun to run around or write a horse around in as a game. Yeah and it's a great topic, and it's kind of been the the struggle for and I would say struggle in a creative sense. It's the creative. From from from once, we actually knew we were making Susha and we started doing all this research, and and you learn so much about the island. Like the fact that at that time it was likely to be like ninety five percent covered in dense forest. Which again I told you we tried. We tried very dense forest in. It's just hard to ride a fun horse through tree. Trees it's. Pretty tough. Also, it's incredibly hilly. We went there just like it's just hill after hill after mountain after Mount After Mountain, also challenging to create a interesting layouts in combat spaces in so. So, we worked with our team in Japan. We're like hey, this is how we were planning on You know being inspired by the shape of the islands. It looks very similar to the actual shape, but here's some kind of Ford as we'd like to take or game reasons you know, make the game more fun to to roam around. The landscapes in have layouts that have. Have Cool puzzle climbing challenges, or what have you were interesting missions, and and they were totally for it you know. And they gave us feedback of maybe when we went too far and then they also they know is in a fun way. They gave us feedback of win. Hey, you could go further with us, and so that was. It was a lot of ultimately. We're super inspired by history, and what happened and then the general beauty of greater. The greater nature of Japan as a whole, it's definitely hugely inspiring to us but we also make in a game and a PR and original story and a lot of things that. Have to Challenge it, but work in tandem with it, so it's it's definitely been a challenge I'm in a good way and we learn so much. And I will say the last thing I'll say on that. Is that within Joyon on the environment? Our team myself in the constitution. We talk a lot about like realism. And You know like A. Maybe painted realism, or maybe, how can we do it like a slightly stylized version of that? And and and you know this is not even if you've ever been to Seattle only did infamous. It wasn't really a stone by stone. Kind of recreation. Roads aren't lined up exactly. It's sort of like if you blur your eyes, you're like Oh. Yeah, that's definitely definitely Seattle like it rains. A lot of people drink coffee. PUNK ROCK and grunge music. It's You know the things that are there the spacing? Like the things you would expect, but it's not the like. Let's put a magnifying glass over, and let's get it like perfectly accurate and we take that same philosophy here. We want to feel like that. This is plausibly. Dass what it could feel like. That's what if we could do smell through it. That would we would try to. Feeling into music, we're going for a as a is a is a main heart. Smell will actually be unlocked on the playstation six. Thirty I. Have Rumor, we have an today since three. Hey listeners. The the combat in this game is awesome, and that's coming from somebody who to be completely transparent. Wasn't crazy about it. At first 'cause my immediate reaction was. There's no lock on. Think what do you mean? There's no lock on like you can't. You can't have a certified again without lock on and as as I grew to. Appreciate. The sort of dynamic happenstance of a dashing between those four stances and. Fighting different types of enemies. In synchronicity while switching and switching back and forth using my sub moves and everything I was like. This is one of my favorite combat systems interview ever But what what? How did how did that decision? Come to not have have lock on? was that was at a debate internally in the studio? Because that's to me, that's one of those things that people just expect from a video game and I found myself not even thinking about it after a few hours in. I. It's definitely debate right like it's A. It was heavily debated and talked about how you know. From all corners of the CEO there was not some like. I mean because it's a it's a standard. There is a standard anytime. You go against the standard. You need to prove it out and. I'm glad we tried something different than you know. As person bloodborne like my favorite game, I like games that allow you to really kind of hone in and focus, and and control that since a control comes, comes with locking, but and you know, and certainly as a samurais sense of control is a huge fantasy so Yeah, man. We talked about it a ton Maybe when it comes to combat, I would say it's in the top three conversations that we had over the entire course of the project while. But I have to give massive. Shout out to you know. One of the studio heads. You know I've found Sucker Punch Christopher. Men he's he's behind the core design, a lot of the combat and he he works out of the code for it, and there's another Guy Ted. Who is awesome designer? And he liked those two brains man. They worked together, and they figured out a way to create something that is first of all feels like you're hitting the person when you do hit them like it's a tandem as animation, so it's not like a hit box based. It's like these. This animation links up to this one. Is I very newbie? Animation Brain. And it's not just like the slash through thing right, and so they feel like you're hitting the person it feels. A goal is a gritty feeling, but it's also incredibly fast paced at times. You know as you get like five or six people around you you can be, you could be like. Changes. In planning, and when you're going to do the smoke bomb, go around the building and do another. Jump down from the top, you know. It's just like a it. Almost like a the style of it is is better with how the walk on. That's kind of the thing that we found over time especially when she became pro at it. And locking on actually with slow down, maybe in some ways and a sense of control will be got out of it instead was things like standoffs in duels, obviously assassinating somebody having that jump on, somebody gives you that, too, but we decided to really push that those moments or mythic abilities I think are. Usually will help take out people pretty quickly. The mythic abilities are interesting because I I think i. I I'm really glad that this game never really went like supernatural despite having the Word Ghost, in the title. There's. There's other there's an alternate version of this game. Were you guys just want preserved and people are summoning dragons and stuff like that. I appreciate that a lot of the crazy stuff that you got away with felt grounded even like the fire sort is ridiculous, but there's like. Oh there's there's sort of like a scientific explanation. Yeah. And then when you start doing some really intense stuff that feels deliberately over the top like dude, get terrified and they starts crawling away like. Is Watching people just straight up running around. Disappear and stuff like that. It's crazy like this is a i. mean even when we pitches his game. This was another heavily debated. Topic is going to be fantasy based or not, and obviously nate and I felt really strongly as well as many other people that we should not make it fantasy base in like high fantasy base because. It really those first of all there's. Several of those games out there already, and they do a wonderful job and I love neo I love sector, Oh, these games are awesome and they lean on that a little bit more as their unique. You know and so. Good. It's smart of us not to do that, but the reason why we didn't do the reason we did was because we were definitely were focusing a little bit more on the Human Story certainly one of the world to feel plausibly real. And you know if you like, I'll take the example. You just threw out there like having people fall in there, but get scared. Scoot away, man if you could just like, pull out a fucking dragon every five minutes. Scares them like I feel like a real challenge to overcome like and so you have to be constrained. So that when we do pull out something that's really incredible or scary or something like that that it actually has wait to it, you know and. I one of the things I do love about our game in might be some of my favorite content, actually mythic missions because. They. A build up the idea that people were legends like they talk about people in their connection to the island. The lightning one is a great example where you know, they burn the black sand, the sands black, which always like wire, the sands black back answer black, and it just bill out as they build up this legend of people that may have come before you, which is Kinda cool because? because. You're kind of building your own legend. To maybe one day, people talk about mythic stories of the ghost You know that humans can do maybe slightly crazy incredible in your living, example of that and people tell tall tales. I think that's cool. I love win. Jin would go around to the stories and people would be like. There's ghosts in the woods and he's like. No, there's not. Watching watching the people run away after a battle, though my favorite things in the game because it's it teeters on like on on like. Comedy, you would find in like vintage Kung Fu movies where somebody would come and kick. A bunch of Bass and one guy would be like away. Runaway ended every single time was I would let him run like maybe like hundreds of feet pull out my arrow. Cruel Man I know you you put it there. You know you gotta sit there, don't. If you give Brian the high ground. He will let them run as far as he wants to. I what I do love going back to the mythic tells them. You know maybe people one day telling the story of the Ghost I. I'm always sort of a sucker for. Stories that are about storytelling to a certain extent, because I do think you get so much of the human nature that we all deal with on a day to day basis of why we tell stories and everything and I I love that that permeates so much of this game, and not just in the quest, but on the on the ques- structure as a whole in this game I think is really unique, but it works really well. Because as Brian was saying earlier, you can go to a house in. Someone's saying Oh. There are nearby. Please help me or someone one of my favorite stories early on one of the side missions I found was. A woman send you to get food from the bandit that stole it from her. And then you bring the food back and she's like. Oh, thanks! I finally have food down. You're like. Wait a second. That wasn't yours to begin with. I just killed all those guys because you can't, there's. There's this. Stark sadness to a lot of the stories that I think really works in this game and I was just curious on like a total storytelling. Horrible 'cause there are moments of levity. You know like everything with Kennedy I think is so great, but how do you you know balance? I think this is a land and a group of people who are under siege. They're under attack by the suppressive force. At the same time. They are living their lives. There's this humanity going on the island. Hugs, what are some of the struggles that come up and try to tell those stories? Yeah, well first of all. When you started telling me, which story were, I was like racking my brain like which? It was so many. I I know it's crazy and I'm gonNA. Play through a bunch probably that I've played through in a long time, I play retail, but. You know It's balanced because you don't want it to be this like we did not want our game to be this like heavy thing that was constantly hitting you over the head with a that was just not what we wanted for this particular game. Think anybody really goes from bad particularly. I think they're always in goal, but but in it's hard, though because invasion and you wanna see desperation, and you WanNa see like these people have struggles. And frankly you know we want to. You know it's not always like dude. Go kill things, and so you WanNa hear you know people having. Their kids, or this or that like our parents like I. Don't know you just want to hear something that sounds like these people are struggling a little bit. But you know the when it comes to the writing and those stories, most of the stories do most of them do exist to try and reflect at the world has been in invaded, invaded place and. For people that are like these allies, and you engage with those those will get a little bit more in depth than traveling of their story, and for these little small one off encounters. Just say look even even the hasn't class is affected greatly by this and hopefully feel a sense of remorse for them or sadness for them, maybe a sense of duty that why you're doing this stuff, but as for the tone of it. I genuinely like a somber tone in general, I think Sambre is is not dark. Sombre is not grotesque. Sambas is just like a like A. Light sadness to things and I felt like that light sadness in a world that is so incredibly. Beautiful is kind of a nice. Balance and I think we look at it now that way and to some extent. That's a really good way putting now that now that you say that. It makes perfect sense because. You have all these incredible like you know. There's Fox's in this you know. Like. Rainstorms the beautiful trees and yellow leaves, but then you go, do these side quests on. You're like Oh. Wow, that was. Your family died and you can save them and you're like damn. That hit me hard that one. Particularly, there was one side quest for like now I know, too. Hard that one's talents so hard and You know there that one people on on the team who? Created that one, and then like you know as we get through the Polish face like Alan, somebody went through and added a bunch of extra work to that one for animation, and like kneeling down, and you know I you know in from liking that mission to really like connecting with more, and this is a small thing right like this is not a. Two hour long you know big big mission. It's very straightforward and simple cement to just reflects the tone of the world, a little bit and Alan Dow was one of the ones that, even though it's a small moment in your entire through I think improved a lot of the last course of the project I'm glad it exists. That's awesome. Yeah, I I, don't even know if I necessarily have a question about it, but I'm just curious to hear more about the the construction of the the site quests when it comes to the side tails when it comes to those the supporting cast that you get because I do I do think one of my favorite things. Throughout sucker punches, history has been that there is of course he usually a pretty great main character, but also this really great supporting cast as well, and you know going back to sign infamous now with ghost. I loved finding out more about Yuna and lady Moscow and just everyone at the pace that you want to in the world. And that balance I guess my question is because I. do think that's some of my favorite story. Telling him the Games in the game comes from those lines. How do you balance having this stuff? Be Optional I guess if you if a player just wants to go through the main story, but also encouraged people to want to keep going back and revisit these stories in these characters. Yeah Yeah! It's a question you know we From I is long as I can remember. I think I, think earliest pitches of the game we talked about. How we really wanted to create sort of this. Anthology of short stories. know these little little side branches off the main trunk. You know that you could. You'RE GONNA. You'RE GONNA get invited to them on the main truck main story. You'RE GONNA. Get invited them and maybe even once or twice in an engaged with them, but it's up to you hopefully, engaging enough for that story relates to you. It's up to you to kind of go. Finish out the rest of that branch, and we do a lot of stuff like we try to reward you for doing these things but I find that those things are They're good and I'm super glad. Glad reward you in different ways for playing these, but I find that the beauty of those those allies missions. If you will Masako. Norio characters is that they're just they're. They're far more developed in terms of like there are like what they need out of the world in their stories are interesting, and and they all have a different perspective on you and life, and you know in an what I what I think is kind of cool about creating a world like this is that you have to be okay with having content that exists. You're not forced to play. And you have to embrace that you have to because that. That is what makes it joyful when you go on your own ambition to go through it. It's not that you were told to go. Do it was in the Golden Path? And there were versions of the game earlier that a lot of these characters stories were more interconnected to Go Path. Through play, testing and feedback in her own kind of iteration process. We ended up where they are. Which I think is the right spot. which is you introduce them and then? Over your curiosity, we can push them push. You can go enjoy them your own Yossi, and there. Some of them are five or six missions long. And I think that's the right model, but it takes some iteration to get to that that that's spot for us. Even having late in the game the I think it's two missions for Eureka that pop up after you've revisited home. Just was such a such a Gut Punch. In the midst of as Jin, story is starting to come, full circle meant to have this exploration both more into him, but also into her life It's it was like as you were saying I, it felt so much more rewarding because I, saw it out that story within the. Yeah I think that that's A. It's not an easy philosophy to hold you now. as a director or as a contributor designer artist, because it means that somebody is going to get a bunch of people, not GonNa, play your mission bench people are not going to see your artwork, and and it's really hard to like talk about that because I want everyone to who worked on this game at Sakkara Punch to just like the super proud of it and love every moment that they cred tributed, too, but that's one where it's like. Yeah, but your thing is optional, and I can really bad, but it. In these cases it is for the for a greater feeling that. The people that will engage with it will probably tear out will probably love or be maybe even their favor mission of the game, even not the golden path I gave might be their favorite moment in the game nest. Because you, you let them engage it at their own will in. That's A. that's a hard philosophy to to. kind of stomach, but I think it's I. think it's a really healthy one for the type of game that ghost is. It absolutely plays into who I I think. My favorite thing about the game. Is that Me In the act of playing the game, so has to the game halfway in a presents all of these options, but I have to go exploring too, and I feel encouraged and want to explore and of my favorite times playing have just been putting a dot on the map letting the wind guy. A thousand kilometers, and if I if something stops me, stop if it doesn't I just keep going until something else. Interest me awesome. It's a calming experience which I don't often say I think about games at the moment. That's exactly how I played, too I would just put a marker somewhere completely random very far from me and just go there and see what I ran into along the what along the way with stories popped up which new characters I would meet, that would show me points of interest and stuff like that. and I think that that loop was really smart in terms of having sort of random gangs of bad guys. Patrolling the land and you'd run into them, and they'd have somebody kidnapped, and you'd rescue that person and that person would tell you another place to go. It felt like you're constantly pulling on these little threads. and I loved that so much was did that did that all take awhile to come together? Like outside of the wind is sort of the way the. The optional stuff and the sort of like randomize character you know excursions and stuff all interconnect. How how was it bringing all that stuff together to create the flow that you guys ended up with? The I I you both sound like you've played it exactly the way that I would recommend somebody to play, which is like hey, you know every now and then just throw down and go that direction and see what you find, and and if you don't find some great than go to your Golden, Pastora that's awesome, but try it, and because it's. In this is true for even when we're doing play testing that we did find that that was some of the ways that people would enjoy the game the most which is awesome. will you're talking about that? Like the ecosystem imbalance of people who tell you where stuff is in? How many patrols are there that stuff I'll tell you? We tweak that probably. Maybe until weeks before gold I think. Exactly the number on no top ahead, but is very late. We tweak those numbers because. because the sense of owning the curiosity, and like not having everything told you. was so important to the global feeling of enjoying just like exploring throughout the world, and as soon as you're told, were too much. Stuff is or too many things around your map. It becomes a different problem like you're kind of you either you either go into. Let's just go through the checklist which. Is Fine I think if you found them on your own but can be exhausting for some people because they're like Oh God. There's a ton of stuff to do, or it's kind of a turn off because you already know what it is, and you don't think of anything else over there, but they're actually might be if you if you actually went look, so we actually ramped down the people that the amount of people that would tell you where things were quite a bit. It used to be far more. part of the emergent processes I've almost everybody who talked to tell you. Something is, and it would put a thing on your map and We found that to be Super Smart System, and I'm so glad that we have it, but we put it in a very specific way in a very specific amount of things on the map total. Total that it would ever tell you about so that you still had your cool moment of like i. don't see anything over here on this. I'm going to head that way and finds things along the way now balance. It's really it's really tricky. Because again it goes up to that thing. I was talking about early. Enough loss of being okay with things being skipped and. That if you don't want to be so much that you don't have any information, that would be bad too right so it it is takes time to to work out, but the team did that. No, no a healthy fund way but I think even when you like clear. Mongol, Camp and Clears up a little bit. You still get a question mark. It's not even like yours, a hotel or something like that. And it's sort of it to me. It fell It felt like A. SORT, of natural to the universe that you guys were setting your game in this is this is like a long time ago. There is those no yelp. There's no google. So it seemed natural that you'd find a random person on the street and be like Oh. Thank you so much. There's this awesome restaurants. You should go check it out. Right I really doug. That I played a ton of the game in Kerr. Asala Mode Oh cool and that was. It was really it was really difficult for me. 'cause you made such beautiful game central? And I think it's I think it's. Beautiful in a different way in Curacao mode. But there was just something so special about about like heading into conflict or a story be or coming into a new environment. or it's all black and white, and there's that film green crackling, and a I read that you guys even did some stuff with the music to make it feel almost like it was coming through old speakers or something like that. Yeah, how how how how did how did you develop that? I I know. That's like obviously. It's something that you're studios. Really proud of especially since you've got endorsement from the family. It was a that was A. That was a I. I probably will put that in my top list of my entire career as like being apart process because. I mean it's just. It's just why just kind of a wild thing that you don't go into making video games because you expect to go through that process one day, yeah. which is probably why it's cool is that it's different. You know, but. The. We knew that we WANNA. Do Black and white mode I mean I think i. I don't remember when we first talked about it, but it was definitely really early Redo black and white vote, but again it got kind of pushed towards the end of the project, and then once things started to. You know you can sit in the world and you could be like. Oh, my goddess stunning! It's really a beautiful I feel I. Do feel like I'm. There's moments of this I feel like movie. It's coming. It's coming together. And, then we're like okay well. We definitely have that mode. Let's are planning for it. And an I got version of it in that was a very early version of it with a sliding team and Like what do we call this thing? and You Owe Samurai cinema or classic. Why can Wyatt our traditional La just things? You know cool cool names. And member WHO's I may was Brian Studio head. I don't remember somebody was like. When we see if we can call it, Chris Allen Mode. And I thought that was brilliant and I was like. Yes, can we? What was that process so I reached out to. One of the people that I think he deserves a special shout at his name as a relay Katami. He's on our Japanese producer. He's a helped us since the very almost since the very beginning, and he helps coordinate all of our feedback through Japan, and said Hey, you hey, who's now a dear friend of mine. I was like. Is this possible. Could you look this up? And he and the Japanese team reached out to their to their state across our state and worked out You know. They wanted to see video so I. Put together a video, and then I redid it like three times because enough. People on time video, but I was like Austin. Even Brian Our leauge rendering Guy Jasmine. He was not good. No. Though I kinda Redid it a couple of times and then eventually Is this. Is it I? I looked at so many movies measured the black and white. You know in our game. You know as you both played it. Daytime Times. There's indoor's whether there's rain. There's fog and so like you have to look at movies that have all of these things you can't just be like. Here's a movie. Here's a sample. It's the black. Man Like you gotTa. Look at all these because they exist in our game and it's a filter that'd be going over all of these and so I finally got to the point where I was, I had good black levels. White levels has cool noise. We sent them a video and and It took a little bit of time back and forth, but eventually we're like asses cooling reach an agreement. They were cool with it so. Yeah it was a it was a coup processing showed up. Is Mode teams all shit? It's called. Is it was pretty cool goal process. It has a dream come true. It's so awesome on a historical level. Because obviously you're seeing the game through its you know from the reveal trailer to now there's clearly a love and Joe Majd to the cinema and the storytelling that come in the John Mara, before it, and so to have that encapsulated as a mood that you can jump into starting to such a great I. Think like touchtone full circle thing as a fan of genres well. Also I mean the. The audio! From from like A. A gigantic Blue Tang Fan. It's it sounded like like RISI's sampling. VHS, tapes of sword slashes, and like there were moments. Paint that game and I was like I expect like method man rapid right now because. If anyone was intended, but that sort of got me on a very very like neural level I was like Oh my God like this is. This is quietly the best. Wu Tang game ever made since. The fighting gave. The quote somewhere I feel. That's. But. Our audio director Brad he that's all him he was like. I have an idea that guy's a wizard, so that usually meant something cool and he. It was like we have this special thing that we developed internally at Sony that replicates old processes from like you know fifty sixty s something like that radios and TV's and and And and he he kind of took that filtered it and figured out the right 'cause he was like. If you do too much over, you know, we wanted people to play lengthy amount of times and if they wanted to the Chrysanthemum. View too much, and it becomes incredibly fatiguing. Like, not watching move hours possibly thirty hours. You know so. You got a nice balance between that and something that you can you know Listen to over and over again? I- legitimated Curacao Mode for Poly Twenty five thirty hours and I think that I like maybe fifty sixty into the game. So how yeah! That's incredible. Yeah, along along with that and to me. It was surreal to play an open world game almost entirely in black and white. That was just I've never done anything like that before and. It was such a cool. It was such a cool experience. One of the challenges with eggs I would add is like since it's black and white. There's there's missions that use color as guiding, and so there are. There are a few missions of. It really struggles with, but for the most part we redesigned icons on the map so that it would work with answer, so you're not just looking at two icons ones. This color ones that color and we just changed the icon Lopate, but but yeah it, it's it's generally speaking. You can play through most of the game with it, which is just crazy. Yeah I think there was one mission where they're like find. The purple flowers was like Oh! I was to right back on, so that was good. Leads to so many great visual moments, and as you were saying I know we're running short on time I. don't want believe the too much, but I, genuinely really loved, and as pointing to earlier the the soundtrack and the way both game uses it. It comes in from quiet to loud, but also how the score changes both from the combat setting to the open world setting you know. Moments I would say not settings, but. That Jackson position as well as even on the side, the remixes that were coming out sort of in the lead up to the Games launch. There's so much great musicality and artistry. Bear that I think really. Elevate, so much of what's going on there on visual rebel to a works so well in tandem. You know there is no single discipline that contributes more to the game. The music like a known this case we have to composers, a team of people that obviously help implemented like their artistry is like. White just level things up so much like a scene without music in a scene with music. There's a world of difference in generally speaking I know it's not one contributor. There's quite a few people that make it happen. Processing and implementation, but it's insane. What music can do in for this game? It's it's. It's one of the best parts of the Game I. Think is the the the artistry behind the music in the soulful fullness in is is really I listened to it a lot. I love and then we tokens the glitch mob. Which is just? RIDICULOUSLY COOL! Yeah, it's an awesome combination i. do think as you were saying. It elevates so many great moments, but really. A drills home like the emotional undercurrent of everything that's going on in the game. Unfortunately. We're pretty much out of time. I think Brandon I could keep talking there so much. We love and really enjoyed about the experience and are continuing to enjoy. Time in this world, so Jason Thank you so much for taking time. We really appreciate it. SUPERFUND and thank thank you to your studio for. bookending this entire console generation with my favorite games. I I don't know if that was ever the plan, but the way that

Be warned there will be some spoiler fil talking here if you haven't played through the game if you haven't. Checked out everything you want to in the game beforehand. Please do that first and then come back. There's a lot to dive into. We're going to be jumping into as much as we can. Of course if you want spoiler free impressions. We did record episode that a little earlier. Even can go check that out, but. There's so much that we can jump into this game I off. Jason I. Just want to say congratulations for recording this on the day. The game is starting to roll out on launch. Because obviously this was built more with like the photo mode in mind as you development went on, because it's become

Spider-Man: Miles Morales PS5 Trailer

"Sony had a big event. Abra field the play station five. PS five is out and a couple of games That are going to be a launch before we get into what it looks like because it's kind of a neat design, looks kind of like a sculpture. One of their launch games will be. This is either a sequel or spinoff of the twenty eight. INSOMNIAC AWESOME SPIDERMAN PS four game. It's called Spider Man Miles Morales gig wounded Holy Shit. It's coming to the playstation five this holiday twenty twenty. In they had a trailer in fucking looks amazing. This. Here's some spoiler. The about the first game, which is two years old in that game, you do get to play miles a little bit here and there he's in there. He also gets his powers during the game. And there's little clips of Peter Training him so by the end of the game. His story is that he's got powers at so this looks amazing. What this trailer Anthony! I thought it was awesome. I mean I haven't owned. A system since playstation three three. Yeah, I don't know if I had. Maybe two! I don't know if I even had. Not GonNa. Look what a playstation three looks like. Forget what the three looked like. It was black with a right with the playstation three three thousand popular yeah. So, but I haven't own I'm not a big Gamer, not because I don't think I would like I, think I get to win to it. But this trailer was freaking amazing the way they cut it with a music. I don't know there was a good fun i. mean the Mo the first off. It looks great at. The move the the music. The R&B or Hip hop that the playing with it. I don't know they have. They do a really good job of fitting it with miles, rallies and just. was pumped watching the miles model like the way he looked is great, and it looks a lot like the Spiderman game, so I was like Holy Shit. This is great except I. You have playstation four against patron saint of awesome. So you know what I can wait wait. The PS five is backwards compatible that but I also wonder will there be a sequel to the other Spiderman, game is the sequel I still want another one with Peter and like venom. Because they didn't introduce the kind of hinted at it at the end, we'll have to have rugs on and to really like dive into what is cool about the playstation five well. Let's click that link. Take a look at. It looks like isn't so. It's white and black stormtroopers. Like start. Vertical it's it's two toned. It's got these. It looks like retro futuristic like what the future looks like in the sixties. Design but it's pretty sick. It's like it's not flat. It's very organic. Will have a version with a BLU ray, drive and one. That's just digital. So I guess it might be cheaper. They did not release any prices. What's the difference what I'll digital without a disk drive? So you download and install your games off like the playstation store? And of course, the dual sends controller is enhanced wireless headphones in a remote in HD camera, but I like the way this looks it's. Dated, not the only thing they said was when it's coming out now if they're saying, this game comes out holiday twenty twenty, I would imagine. There's probably coming up for Christmas. If they're ready, showed this now. This is going to be like Christmas launch. I mean I have to say the trailer for the Spiderman. Just going back to that was. Really

Marvel's Spider-Man followup on PS5 features Miles Morales

"INSOMNIAC tweeted today. Spider Spiderman Miles. Morales is the next adventure in the marvels. Spiderman Universe we will reveal more about this. Stand alone game at a future date Hashtag. Miles, Morales ps five Jason Schreier of course from Bloomberg still doesn't feel right to say added this on Twitter News Spiderman Miles. Morales is not an expansion or enhancement or re master. Despite a Sony executives comments this morning, a source tells Bloomberg News Nor is it Spiderman to it is a brand new standalone game similar in scope to uncharted loss legacy. which makes sense is exactly what I wanna hear I think that's exactly what we all expected. They announced were now state yesterday right like it. Being called Marta Man's spider man miles, morales it, not necessarily having a to in the title and it also like showing off that trailer that had if had no Peter Parker to. Where if you finish the first game, you'd understand why that feels off in terms of Peter Parker being nowhere in the game or in that first trailer. He's probably going to be in the game. that does that doesn't necessarily feel like a spider man to like feels like some some sort of spinoff. Offshoot title, but like not off shoe or spinoff in a bad way right like my brain Amelia went to try to las. Vegas I think that's where we all kind of done to if. Out and it's like a forty dollar thing and you get like what like ten to fifteen hours worth of story and Gameplay and like New York and even if it is the same, New York from spider man twenty eighteen. That is maybe slightly altered it in some ways to bring up the speed like that's all i. that's all I really expected. I think that will be like a really good satisfied experience. All I want more hours in this in the. Went Back and watch the trailer again last night. Right seeing miles. play a far different than what spiderman does seeing him. You know swinging in a web in a webs- seeing him swing in a way that is not the exact same web-slinging. We saw from Pete in Spiderman like that's what I'm looking for I. Want a thing and if it's going to be on par with loss, legacy beautiful perfect. That's all I need. I understand that and I. Think it's a smart way to do it of. What we're talking about right where Spiderman to was not gonNA, be ready for launch, nor should it be necessarily right in so rather than rush that put out this experience something like first light something like a loss legacy something where we can getting moved exist back in this world. move the plot forward. figure out what's going off miles in then get nutty with responded to. Assume setups about him into. How. How different are let me ask you this? How much of an upgrade you think is going to be from Spiderman twenty eighteen like You New York is going to be that different is the main difference going to be like more story and a different like different abilities man I think the main difference. Will you ask two different Russians? They're the main difference gameplay. Yeah, be that miles feel distinctly different than Peter. Did with his Venom Strike and all that jazz? I think he'll play different. Feel different, obviously new story now I'll be awesome I think the other part of it is that this will finally be. The chance for playstation two flex. The muscle talked about in every one of these wired articles. Right of Lookit Spiderman. There's no more load times you can swing over there on the draw distance in like it'll be taking spiderman PS, four, which already beautiful game putting it onto playstation five putting ray, tracing on all those buildings, putting reflections into all that pudding the surround sound into all better, the Three D., whatever the hell sound. They're calling it. Your ear putting all that in. Whatever putting all that all those bells and whistles onto a game that was already gorgeous in then releasing that

Senna: The Early Years

"Dan Pass Gas. We're talking about the early years of Ayrton Senna. You know him as the legendary driver famous for winning multiple Formula One championships in nineteen, eighty, eight, nineteen, Ninety and nineteen ninety one he won an incredible forty one gram freeze on seventeen different tracks over the course of nine seasons. You probably also know how the story ends. At the age of thirty four while racing at the nineteen ninety four, San Marino, Grand Prix Senna crash on lap, set on leaving the track and a speed over a hundred eighty miles per hour, slammed into a concrete wall, killing him on impact. The. Final Jenny home two with L.. Tragic death cut a storied career short and much like Kurt Cobain, Heath Ledger or to park. It froze centers, accomplishments, and magnetic personality in amber. Deprived of the slow decline to any great talent at the top of their profession will eventually fall. Victim to these names are instead forever frozen their lawyers, and so they remained. Forever Young. Senator is now a legend. But where do legends begin with an origin story of course? So what senators version of being bitten by a radioactive spider, finding a weird lamp, genie or floating down the Nile in a basket made of Reeds? Well like Spiderman Aladdin or Moses Senna his monogamous, but before Senate was sent off, his last name wasn't even Senna at all. His parents worry that he was uncoordinated and even had him test report. He was born into wealth, but although wealth can definitely give you access to the world of bracing, it can't make fast and Santa wasn't just fast. He was the fastest. So what was the moment Senna truly became Senate to answer that we need to start on March twenty first nineteen sixty the day. When in Sao Paulo Brazil. Ericsson senator silver was born. Welcome to pass gas. That was a long intro. Great Man I'm. I got a little choked up there for a second. I mean this guy is so important and just such. Like I, don't know he's just a legend, and he's just like so important to so many people, and I'm really excited that we're going to die, have really deep into his life, but I mean just. A man just. I got a little teary eyed. When you're talking about the forever, young stuff is yeah I sure. Senna is a like I said an intro. He's a legend. Almost like a mythic figure at this point. Just such a hallowed name so revered in in in motor sports and the car world in general. Just like Oh yeah, you hear senators like he was I mean he was the greatest, but like it's just like an instant assumption of just like. Perfection basically right. Yeah, he's like Michael Jordan. Yeah, no thought given to, and we're going to see why that is because. There's a lot of good reason for that I. Think the moment where it hit where I was like Oh, damn was when? PS5 Games 'Soon' - What Is Sony's Next-Gen Lineup

"We do have a lot to talk about actually this week even though again soon he will not give us specifics about the. Ps Five chances are the specifics will go live twenty minutes after we record but we did get a decent amount of information thankfully after the. Gosta of Sushi mistake play. Thanks to an interview. We were able to do here. Jan and we got a little bit of a teaser about the. Ps Five and games coming soon. We'll get to that in a second but if you are wondering why we're not going super in depth on the go sushi. Maceda play itself. It's because we recorded a second so last week so if you happen to catch that episode you're not subscribe to any of our feeds. Go check that out. Go subscribe go here all thoughts about that and we will have some of your thoughts later on in this episode. But I I did WANNA talk about. That nebulous announcement. That news is coming so we got word from Sony. The parent company Wide Sony. Ceo Saying that quote we will soon be announcing a strong lineup of PS five games. And that's pretty much it We don't have a date or any sort of window or how that will come about but we know that they are now saying. Sony will be announcing a slate of PS Games soon. And so that could mean first Party Games. It could mean exclusives multiplatform games. We don't really now but I don't know how you guys feel but being stuck like it's nice to hear that the top of the company is acknowledging the five but it still in this weird nebulous soon way right. Yeah I think I think our best bet is to jam together a whole bunch of third party and First Party announcements at the same time. I don't really see them coming out with like this gigantic lineup of First Party. Stuff announcements like that feels Well first of all you have to of their biggest studios are still shipping product in the next few months. Then you have you know what Santa Monica's it's GonNa Take Them I. I honestly don't think we're going to hear anything about a new four game for a while or whatever. They're working on And then you have like media molecule with dreams and stuff like that like there's a bunch of stuff that just happened and even you know a Sony. Bend like I feel like they're gonNA. I don't think that they're ready for any announcement. I mean we really just got. It wasn't too long ago we got days gone. It's still getting updated Like I have a feeling we're GONNA get a lot of sort of like. Here's the special edition five additions. Type stuff like there'll be a lot of like. Ps Four Games on steroids. There'll be a lot of like here's confirmed third party stuff. There'll be a lot of games as a service stuff that we expect launch already Someone else since we know someone else since we don't think the best idea for them is just jam as much information as possible. But I'm not really expecting a ton of big first party stuff right now. I think the The announcement that they plan on announcing things is sort of sort of infuriating. I I feel like we see this. A lot from CEO's Bob. I was always doing that. Whereas like yeah we got the damage show in the works or whatever and people are like what like blurt something out in earnings call. And it's like there's no. There's no podium Ryan show that I'm aware of I was thinking of Kassian Indoor but anyway I you know his stuff out. And it's like you're the head of the company if you want to announce some stuff maybe you know. Kick marketing the ASS and be like how do we? How do we raise brand awareness? And how do we get people excited about working on 'cause to sort of being like older? Han? It'll be ready in a minute as like a non announcement yet again. Yeah I would. I would take anything at this point. I think any any kind of teaser. I would take some Sicily logo reveals you know. Maybe we got. We got our first look at the playstation five in the form of a still image of an obvious logo and A A three two and a half pictures of controller. Like maybe maybe video of literally anything like we got that that sizzle like playstation studios or Sony Studios or whatever and it's like just just make something did make some mixim. Buzz make some higher. They just get us excited about literally just like any little thing. What you said about First Party Studios I think is is kind of a given I I mean I imagine they're probably GonNa Buddy up with with a few third parties and do some exclusive reveals and like you always say yeah just like for the love of God. Just give us anything just any anything. The first party be That both brought up is really interesting because I was looking back at it the last time. We got like really big proper far-reaching sort of announcements about first party games was twenty seventeen We got games like concrete. Genie was announced that era. Ghosts Sushi was announced that year. And then of course On the loss legacy and less partout were both announced twenty sixteen. Same We Got Spiderman and God of war at the same time. I believe Sony really put everything out there between two thousand sixteen in two thousand seventeen and so it has been years since most of their First Party. Stable safer of course. Mlb and stuff like that that we've seen anything from them new it really been sort of. Alec. The final three ish years of the cycle have been what I party has been working toward announced this weird quiet mystery of do they go next. I think that's good to a point like I've I've praise them for this. Because I think if you if you do a little info drop and be like. Hey it's a it's almost ready if you know announce a game three years in advance and then pop up every six months to be like check it out. Here's another trailer people just lose interest whereas if you if you don't have anything to say people don't have anything to look forward to. I totally agree with both of you. Guys I feel like in a normal era Like in a random ASI three year It's it's kind of a Faux Pas to just show a a logo for something that doesn't really exist yet or won't for a while but I think that at the dawn of the new console when you WanNa get people invested in this ecosystem for the next few years. That's sort of okay. It's still cheating and it's still kind of dirty but it is. I do think that it's yeah. You're going okay like if you if you get this thing in November. You're buying a new assistant will eventually deliver X Y Z Z and like to clarify record said earlier. We we we named a few studios their own like I didn't even scratch on INSOMNIAC or anything like that had nothing. I'm expecting them to deliver a launch game But I think that if they say hey were working on something that could happen in the next year year and a half or twenty twenty one. Then you know all right. I'm buying this thing in November and I'm GONNA kick around place in my favorite games on some games of his service. Third Party stuff But in twenty twenty one. I'm getting Spiderman than whatever

Why not Fandom? The Random Dude Josh

"Josh what is your Phantom five all right so we're GONNA kick this off with just indie comics in general and the reason why I've selected. That is one. We don't have to worry about continuity within Deco X. because any book it's creating its own universe so what about like the walking dead that had what three hundred ish episodes or issues that was released. I mean they create their own continuity right the the do they do so. But if you compare it to say and I'm going to reference the big to DC and marvel where there's always continuity issues across the board and you don't necessarily have to do that Just some of the books that I've been geeking out over lately Morgan's organs. Which did you ever watch the movie inside out? Yes yeah the Pixar movie about all the all the emotions. Yes so that taking that concept. Except it's the organs within Morgan. They have their own personality. Now I will note. This is not necessarily a kid from the book. While you have Brian the brain and pepe the I'll I'll just let your mind. Yeah another a couple of easy to it yes exactly yes But it's it's hilarious absolutely hilarious. You've got Franklin and ghost who you know these two characters again out so much kid-friendly one but The Creator who has created this universe. Gary Gun has these amazing characters with amazing writing and with this universe. He's also created the war war coins combat UNICORNS for higher and that's awesome combat UNICORNS for higher. I mean who doesn't want fighting UNICORNS and the fact that he's got all these books. Yeah he's he's well all these together so it's fantastic but he's kind of his own comic universe with this he has and it. It's absolutely amazing. Absolutely amazing at you know. There's their studios like upshots studios. Who have just recently come out with a whole new line of books. And it's not your stereotypical Superhero Bucks. So so if somebody is used to reading the stereotypical superhero books now. What would be a good indicator comic for them to bridge them over into the world of India because Indy Comics are great? Because there's no one telling you what you can and can't have but that also means that there are things that people who've who've just read the big two publishers. Their entire lives are not going to be prepared for to see on the on the pages of their comic book. Is there something that you would recommend? Jump from Marvel and DC. I mean one of the big ones just comes to mind spun off yeah the Todd McFarlane Yep which his kickstarter I don't know if you've noticed He's doing a kickstarter right. Now for the seven inch figure like our revised version of what he made back in ninety five in the first two days made over a million dollars on kickstarter. It's kind of Nice to have the celebrity that todd McFarlane has to promote things like that. Yeah well instead of going to retailers for this he's making this specifically for the consumer so some years ago I was able to ask Stan Lee in. He would work with a modern artist. What artist would he want to write the story for Spiderman for asked Specifically Spiderman? Because that's right right now and his response was todd McFarlane so so I mean yeah it was a Stanley Todd McFarlane story would probably be kinda crazy but the yeah but I mean just those sorts of things but I guess going back to the question on a bloodshot by which I mean. They're just released. The movie with Vin diesel playing and because of the current cove nineteen lockdown. They made it available online. So the studio upshot. They put all their comics online They've got one where it's called the resistance which really made things real because a virus play the earth and out of it came people with superpowers. Signed me in little ironic. Well are you saying that? Are you breaking some news here? That people are getting superpowers from this. I'm guessing not but I can neither confirm nor deny this all

The Dark Knight Trilogy (Nolan #4)

"Welcome to film spotting so Josh. We've arrived at the stage of our Nolan who've review where we've actually reviewed the films on the show previously the first three films in the series following Memento and insomnia all predate film spotting this week. We're revisiting Nolan's dark knight trilogy. Two thousand five's Batman begins which started. It was one of the first films reviewed on the show. Way Back in two thousand five. That movie came out in June. The show began in March of. Oh five unfortunately. Our Review on episode eighteen of the show has been archived in the basement of Wayne Industry headquarters along with all the other films. Spotting PROTOTYPES COW. Can't hear me out among the disappointed listeners. Who went to search for that review? Just today thinking I'd be able to hear Sam. I thought it would be good preparation you know like to do. My homework. Couldn't find it so we'll have to unearth that at some point. Yeah I'll have to give you a tutorial on searching the archive film spotting website. Because it's there but you can bet. I did not seek it out interest in listening to the archive that I found only went back to. I forget what show but it wasn't this one so yeah I'll have to get to to`real but with that review lost a time. I guess the best thing we can do for now is move on to version two point. Oh world like to disappear. Barron staff was not for the parents to serve. Justice cannot let pass. If you yourself and you become something else. Dialing our Christopher Nolan overview stays on chronological track at least for the moment with two thousand five's Batman Begins Adam. This is Nolan's big-budget high profile. Follow up to insomnia which itself was a medium budgeted studio. Follow up to his indie breakout. Memento what did I expect from Batman begins in two thousand? Five Nolan was already on my radar as a special talent superhero movies. Were something I enjoyed but aside from Tim Burton's Batman Installments and Sam Raimi's Spiderman Efforts Spiderman. Too by the way came out in two thousand and four I felt Comic Book Films. Usually fell into a fairly predictable box. The question for Batman begins then was whether or not the John. Laura would bend to Nolan's promise or Nolan would bend to the genre in two thousand five to my mind. Nolan's will one out even next to Burton and Raimi's Work Nolan's take on the superhero film stood out as distinct. It was dark. It was intense and above all it was rooted in a real world. Specificity that was recognizable while building his costume. I love that Bruce Wayne Orders some ten thousand bat ears that turn out to be unusable. This Bruce Wayne and even Batman could exist just like us he had to do Amazon returns. That first impression of Batman begins makes me think that I watched it through the Lens of a Superhero Movie. Perhaps with tempered expectations this time. Though in the midst of our review I was decidedly watching it through the Lens of a Christopher Nolan movie and from that perspective keeping in mind masterful later efforts like the prestige which was Nolan's next film the Dark Knight which doubles down on much of what made Batman begins so throwing inception and dunkirk. That begins played as far more conventional. It has Nolan touches to be clear deception traumatized characters narrative twist but they each seemed a bit better towards the genre this time around something of a compromise. If in understandable one given where Nolan was in his career ultimately I think my original impression is probably the correct one and we can maybe get into a tangent here atom on whether or not a films original context matters. Most I think that's especially applicable. Maybe to dark knight rises but either. Way Adam. I'm curious what frame of mind you're in while revisiting Batman begins for our Nolan overview. Did you approach it as a superhero movie which in twenty twenty means contending with the reality of the MC you or did you assess it more? On a Nolan scale you know from interstellar on the bottom to the top where you'll find dunkirk. How dare you? I love how you unnerve me heading into my reply here and maybe that's appropriate because even though you answered it. I see what you're trying to do I'm onto you. You're actually previewing are pending discussion of the Dark Knight by presenting me with a joker like Dilemma Harvey. Rachel press the button and kill the other passengers. Risk them killing me Nolan movie or Superhero Movie. Your just an agent of chaos. Josh always knew what do I look like a guy with plan on one hand? I wasn't looking at this film. This trilogy of films as a Nolan creation consciously and I am it would be happening unconsciously of course just by the nature of this little project that we have set out on at the same time. I was eager to see this origin story again because just like I suppose bruce being forever scarred by his encounter with the bats I'm gonNA forever be blessed with the memory of my first superhero movie. Richard Donner's Superman. It's been talked about a little bit over the years here on the show and among its many thrills it shows us who Clark is how we got Earth those early discoveries of his gifts running alongside the train kicking that football. This first demonstrations of his abilities and helping people as Superman. That's the stuff I ate up. Then that's the stuff. I still eat up now. The Fun stuff. I guess that equate with Superhero movies. That is lost the darker. You alluded to this the darker. The more realistic the more serious. These movies get honestly the more these films feel less like Superman and more like James Bond. And that's definitely the case in this trilogy. I think this is where we really see. It happen right. Where Superhero Movies did turn into? Something else became something else in pop culture. We watched it unfold over the course of these. Three movies didn't we? I think that's fair. I think you could roll in watchmen there but that was two thousand nine so this was ahead of that.

Bands People Hate That Are Crazy Successful: Nickelback

"Bans. That are crazy successful. And let's start with nickelback really one of the most accessible bands of all time how the Let's see here under ten. Nickel bag sold over fifty million albums. Okay they rank as the second best selling international act in the two thousands. Who Do you think behind the Second Best International Act of the two thousand? The only by one act I I. I know who. You're GONNA say thousands. Yeah one-two-three radiohead the Beatles. Oh more than two more than really had more than is this factual I look at my. He confirms through nearly a decade pop up. Culture has been incredibly cruel to nickelback. I've always been a lover of them more so than I think I would be because of all the hate on them like I would just kind of sit at six point five normally because they have songs we know unlike but because everybody hates him mechanical bad for them so I put them at like a seven point three because of that. Sometimes I think we get. Tricked me liking something. What do you mean? The songs are good. Sometimes I think that they're just on the radio so much that we're like all right whatever it has like uses uses. IRA's all right. It's not a bad song but if you heard that once I think ninety percent of the people that heard that once we're like this I don't think so I think a lot of songs only heard wants back. The other are lot. Yeah human number ones so many number ones. How many do we need to look at the Louisville eight nine ten eleven all right? They even had songs on super soundtracks Spiderman. I remember that one so you just want to be a hater because no croakers Kroger's hair. Yeah you I don't understand the hate like. Tell me why you're hater. I just at the time that came out to me that was was like it's easy music. Sometimes it's just like everybody doing it if it's so it's like Sam Nunn backward people go that song so easy to then. Why don't oh you write it? I think no. I don't think I can right but I think that most people don't try to do that because they don't want to get stuck doing that like our is easy music like like where where are where's the nickelback. Now there's longevity and nickelback there's no longevity and almost any of those bands the two thousands or any decade the longevity fifty million albums nickelback nickelback does a tour. Again they sell out. Yes touring this area. They do. I don't know they don't know where my mind is with them. Just like because you've been tainted by the media. No I love the media. I'm not a listen to people. Say otherwise they would just go away and they didn't care for at the time but why are are they. The most despised man as it became a thing it became like its cool to hate nickelback and I probably would to experiment hating on them to defend them. Yeah all right They won't even do interviews because they know half the questions to be about everybody hitting them. Imagine that was that'd be terrible. They still sell out of God's our tickets and we'll probably still be laughing ten years from now because of all their money billionaire. Yeah Right. Yeah

What Next-gen Console Feature Is Most Important to You?

"What's up? Everybody welcome Digesting Games. Muros Daemon Hatfield joining this week. Is Tina Amini. We switch seeds. Okay and Jefferson Davis goop now. I'm all messed up and Betty and we've got a great show for this week. Big Show show so much talk about Next Gen console features. We're GONNA talk about a new mortal Kombat collection. But I sam is something you'd like to share. I don't know if I have something that I'd like to share. Keep hearing every week on game scoop that if you turn on recurring segment your final fantasy seven game and hit a button. It tells you where the heck to go. I'm just going around here in this game. There's no door anywhere I know what the heck to do. So what's the tip it on the original game you would hit select. But I don't know what he's pursue I think now there's a little arrow on my guy and then it highlights exits isn't there we'll be era. I don't have have to believe we say bleeping You can't even you know it's so blurry that's fine inside okay. Well we believe you. I'm we're glad that you can finally are you in disc to navigate around. This is why you wanted to switch to or not. There's so many things going on. This is very helpful. Thanks everybody nobody we did it and thanks for nothing game scoop we told you twice. Yeah well until somebody tweeted at me I remember see. There's a thing that happens is called game scoop and show Amnesia and everything we talk about on the show. I at least don't remember we just scout right after this. That's the thing with some off with the version of it. I get is people like tweet me some some funny quote or something that they like from the show and then I'm like what's that and they're like you said it my. I don't have any memory of that. What happens with that too is that it's usually something that I said when they say that to you and you're like I definitely remember saying that I'm like I said all right? Let's get into it. Let's get into it next. Gen Consoles cels their top of mind with everyone. Everyone's excited about him. I like him Your for them. Yeah you think they should happen. Has Several of them at home. How he doesn't they were action? Our friends over at Games Industry Biz ran a survey of eight thousand gamers aged eleven to sixty four across Germany Spain and France and Italy asking them what next Gen console feature is most important to you to the people that took the survey. And we've we rent service similar GM. But I thought this is interesting. It's a pretty good sample size. Eight thousand people in the in in Europe. What do you think is the most the most wanted next? Gen Console Feature Agra compatibility roller. It's not I think that was our whole the result when we were in that poll on our homepage also We Will Dan Stapleton random feature around how backward compatibility is basically the trend for next Gen. It's become the standard was subscription options service on there. That was not on there. It's gotta be no it's gotta be like power it was it was better graft who can forget better graphics there's the fullest hold on. No no I just think it's amazing that people could look at AAA Games today and be like insistent. I just can't can't we can't get here fast. No but you gotTA gotTa War. No but look. That's the kind of quote in like ten years gets brought backup like think about. Ps Three Games compared to now and like there's probably some from games give two thousand eleven. We like Video Games canton. Don't look at Asai said before era is why we need games to look better than this and I I mean they came. Looks Amazing still. There's handles on like a big part of it is like frame rate right right. So it's like maybe in level of detail and quality to your earlier point maybe we've picked out a little bit like the. PS three xbox one the big debates where like the relief relief finite amount of differentiation between graphical fidelity. So maybe that's just a carryover. Yeah well better. Graphics was far and away the most desired next Gen console feature feature in this survey the only other feature to get anywhere close to that level of consensus was shorter load times Eight K. Resolution was less important than motion motion controls backwards compatibility and ability to play physical games so they want better graphics but AK resolution they. Yeah uh-huh deprioritization. Just means you have to buy another expensive television. I don't even have a fourteen. TV At motion controls were important to forty nine percent of all survey gamers and fifty ninety seven percent of console gamers. That's weird really a new over that I thought so too must controllers like the playstation four controller that have slightly augmented motion controls. Charles like those are almost entirely abandoned. Now there's like an spiderman it had a little bit of that but like it's never it's never used anymore. It's really funny to go back and play like older like like when that was a newer thing and launch. PS Four Games. I think it's uncharted for where it's like. You shake the controller to throw the grenade and they have the They always added balance. Beams in every game. Amy Add balance. Meet Him. Yeah didn't need that. But you know you gotta have the controller valid on it Backwards compatibility what's important to forty eight percent of all surveyed gamers and fifty nine percent of the the console crowd and playing physical Games was important to forty seven percent. Surge surveyed gamers fifty eight percent of console. Gamers the situation for backwards compatibility where when when it was taken out of consoles a lot the reason ing was always like we have data and nobody uses it or it's actually it's only the parents correct career. It's a selling point for the parents. Oh they'll get to use all their old games. Okay I can justify the or for a kid to say that to the point that it is such a Trojan horse thing. I don't think a lot of people keep their collections. Enes and Dipak in they. Just don't because we're on Vega cops. I've talked about this on skip before but the backwards compatibility on xbox xbox live ecosystem is such an underrated. Did it's so incredible like those games the fact that you're not booting into some separate weird. Og xbox or xbox three sixty interface. It's like those games are just there and you can buy them and play them like you can buy symphony of the night on Xbox one it's like you're sx. I bought sx three. I just had a desire to play it ten dollars. It was installed and played. It was all beautiful like cool. My Hat's off to them for that. You can donate your former councils who need those anymore. Yeah I'd I just I just do it. A normal person does and they're just sitting under arrest office like this you can just bring them in and put them under your desk. Yeah that's my new under the bed. Yep to just hide it. They're just storage. Now Y- true I was just. I was stunned by how different. These poll results are from from what we would find if we surveyed the audience I think graphics is that it's been that that's been the Super Nintendo. It just sounds so funny to me more pretty better graphics wchs load times like are they really. That long like both Sony and Microsoft are talking about load times and demoing them and then it was. It pulled second here behind graphics. Yeah exactly bullets. It's because they've been talking about them. It's almost like a marketing trick. I I would assume but it. It's dependent on the game in terms of times. Yeah Control was pretty insane. I mean I play mostly I have the choice. I play most P. C.'s. So maybe I'm not I don't know how long. ps four times are for a typical game. These days The lowest priority features were virtual. You'll reality compatibility and hand-held motivational. Sorry Nintendo. Yeah it's cool that after you know I guess seventy years of area or so of video games existing. We're finally solving load time. It's been a while I like. We got through all that stuff though graphics will we're we're still tweaking. I understand that's an ongoing issue. We're almost done with graphics load to previous generations. But but we're GONNA fix ex- load times. That was just low on the list for a while. Low Times weren't a problem. At the beginning. It became a problem two decades. That's true except for like fifty four stuff like that but yeah pc gaming what about when you're waiting in line editor came to play a game time. You didn't put your quarter down Yup and then you gotta

Xbox Series X Will Not Have Exclusive Games When It Comes Out

"On the XBOX side. We saw that first image of the xbox series acts are xbox one xbox series x and it now there's an interview that says xbox series x won't have exclusives next exclusives for Weil goes with their. This goes so the story is games that come with xbox one series x also will work on the xbox one and xbox one x so what are the incentive for people to buy a series. Well if you have a gaming. Pc You don't have one right because everything's come to Windows store and game bass so like I don't know who buys this console unless it's just people who buy xboxes but they're not gonNA have a halo game. They're not gonNA have anything exclusive to xbox series x Soda All work on the Xbox and all those you might you might not get this crazy feature in this a high frame rate feature or some type of Ray tracing thing I it but even if I use the controls the example you have the experience on xbox series actually. Don't don't have that experience on extra. That's not compelling enough to buy a new console. Well I mean what their bet is that they're saying hey. The Console Council market has changed and the model that has worked since the end sixty four launched with Super Mario Sixty four a game that people wanted to badly. They bought a console for. They're saying that those times names are passed and now people are buying the console to make the services that they pay for better. So if you pay for game pass ultimate where you get A re. There's a bazillion games on the service at any moment for are you then. This is going to be the best way to play that unless you have spent fifteen hundred dollars or a thousand dollars on a PC and this is the first party titles wrong Kahlo. And but no third party would well console exclusives. Yes so like Sony Spiderman game from a couple years ago console exclusive Solta Brazilian copies Nintendo Microsoft. You're saying hey we don't need any of this business Nintendo's still basing their entire model on only selling shit that people buy from Nintendo. Yeah I mean this is the most curious about because I I don't know where it really belongs. Haven't turned on the only time I turn on my xbox one now is to play xbox. Three Sixty Games also four K.. blueberries no just xbox three sixty games for capabilities only also work on xbox playstation

They bought spiderman rights for two hundred twenty five thousand dollars back in the eighties so those guys i didn't really get spiderman and in one draft of a script spiderman is literally an eight legged monster hear me out yeah spider so the mustang just a spider with the mustache winning powerball candidate and end up making a movie they sold the rights to carolco which is is the studio that made the terminator and rambo they hired james cameron to write a treatment jim cameron wrote rambo too by the way <hes> but cameron's cameron treatment for spiderman included violence swearing and a bondage sex scene on top of the brooklyn bridge or spiderman restraints mary jane with his webbing a peter parker the virgin mary jane doesn't even know who she is having sex with washing way way out of context yeah they don't tend to obviously mask on that was like a classic eighties movie tropes guy with mask on has sex with woman who doesn't know who he is that was revenge rovinj of the nerds that one for laughs yeah old l. and you imagine if that spider man had been made with bondage webbing sex fucking on the brooklyn bridge. I love this scene yeah. I wish i was in it. That changes the whole trajectory of 'cause i mean like the way they started was with basically the timber that man and like that a lot of those things hold. Did you know like having it like being artistically like sort of dour but like very beautifully shot there be a way to do a tasteful beautiful bondage bondage sex scene where the woman doesn't who's having sex with on the brooklyn bridge probably not not dan the whole tim burton maybe did it. She yeah she will happy yeah do you. The character will have to have some kind of knowledge. You have to consent yes yeah but otherwise unless the whole things that come on spiderman who doesn't want folks spiderman on the brooklyn bridge <hes> <hes> yeah freezing up spider man. He's like an awesome director and writes like a five of your old. I was really fucked up five year old. You guys really into bondage <hes> so anyway late nineties sony approached them wanting to buy <hes> the rights to make a spiderman movie marvel's counteroffers sony could have all their characters for just twenty five million dollars. Sony refused is the offer because according to one sony exac and this is a quote. Nobody gives a shit about any of the other marvel characters this dude. I hope his fucking. I hope i hope that i am leaning on his fucking tune tattooed on his fucking face <hes> so instead marvel agreed to sell them just spider-man for ten million dollars and then they made some pretty class that we know who that guy is that executive. I'm sure i'm sure they do but i kept tipped right kept from us. He's like i never said that. Shit is fucking law man. I knew i was saying you know the z. I just have to read this one part from one of the emails from executives discussing despite this is an executive talking about what he wants to see incorporated in the new script. "He is wearing if you're watching on barstool gold the barstow goal dot com slash k._f._c. He's wearing his what i call his a._k._c. radio uniform every time he comes in here. He needs to suit up in a black windbreaker because he's too called. Bob said he said i before we get my jacket and i figured he was gonna get. I'm maybe a denim code. Does something really a little light. Maybe a spring coat. <hes> something something like this. This looks like when you're trying to make weight. I think you look like you're going to the inception to kill that guy in the mountains yeah you're you're one of the guys park tackling the because i think they wore white to get in. I believe the bad guys were black and that seen you like the bad guy protecting the place in the swedish albums so wherever they are. I have a condition raynaud's arena. You're probably what that that. Tweet was talking about the other day. What do you think if your thermostat o no. I actually keep my thermostat sixty eight all right. Yeah it makes no sense. Sixty s pretty pretty chilly. You don't get caught doing that. You guys keep this fucking studio. Fifty five live studio is the most insane room and they'll bring the heat bro. Yeah i look at them. They're actually going a little bit already. My fingernails dna orange spots to already planning. I used to get that. I actually don't get i get like playing hockey and it was like a government like inbetween periods so the so much but i would have it'd be white and orange splotches warned and then it would have like blue. If i touched my hand it would just stay forever era anymore. I used to play roller hockey outdoor in the winter and i used to buy my mom would buy in bulk like the hand warmers but she would just like by the package that they come in that they ship them and just the worst yeah and we would put one in each finger of my hockey gloves. We would use like an allen key wrench to push them down into each finger. It was intense pain in the ass. You are yeah if my kids like that and i'm like well. I don't know then you don't do things outside anymore. Stay inside during the winter doing pretty much the white house hand warmers for individual fingers exile outside in the winter do it. I mean i'm all i'm all set on very much outside ever done with the summer. It's too hot. Sam winter's too cold those two weeks a year in the spring and fall. It's all i got but i liked the. I like the uniform so suit up and talk a little spiderman here while all we have bob here. I had a dream last night that i was iraq. That's pretty cool. Really i love you like i looked like him or you. Were you as popular as it looked like. I just had the rocks body ready. Did you have his fame and success and stuff or i was shooting a movie. I actually i don't know those really movie. I couldn't figure it was moving so i had the rocks body but i guess i could have just been in the n._h._l. But i was really not realistic. I was having back surgery but also big game so i had to go back out. They do a little bit of surgery. The locker room uh-huh skate like this golden back against the maple leafs and i was just laughing and it was like this is so easy to have back surgery right now. This is a big deal though john john just started dreaming like last year for the first time ever finally like these things are like wild and wacky to him and it's like yeah no this dreams work woke up and i was scared i might have had the back surgery so i woke up just really stiff like just sat up in bed. It's like yeah. We're going for the record. You do need back surgery but whatever that conscious need to do this. If you do this. Maybe you can be as big as the rockville actually healthy spiderman yeah. This is wild this new the only news. I don't think it's going to have well so do i but i but i think that they're going down the fact that went as far as the kirkman a hand quit premature i. I don't think it's i think it's <hes> sony sony is like that's it. We're breaking up and you know it's like you'll be back at my door soon but with the help of like maybe they'll be compromising the relationship here i think they're i think disney will probably just call their bluff but i think it will work you know so. The deal was so only on their way around two. Thanks might be calling disney's both. I don't know what's really happening from what i understand. Sony owns spiderman. They own all his stuff because when more of a went bankrupt in the nineties they they tried to sell all of their characters movie rights. I can't believe that so incorrupt so what they did was. They tried to sell them on and sony said we don't want any of them except spiderman. They said iron man hulk thor you could you could keep those. We'll just take understand that logic by the way yes back. Iron man was never know dude until it was robert downey junior the whole kind of like never really worked in movies and four. I didn't think too much of either has like a whatever spider-man was like that dude. They let them keep all the avengers everyone that we we know now in the n._f._c. you they take spiderman. They make the tobey maguire movies. They make the andrew garfield movies eventually they were not doing too well. Are you laughing at me because i'm wearing a coat. No did the coat and i was just laughing anytime then spiderman and it's like my uncle ben again right thing as like i that's why i don't know if it's going to happen because i think everybody's like i are we can't we can't have another one and at least for like ten years the andrew garfield ones. It's actually amazing spiderman two so bad that like almost killed the legacy spiderman vitamin in terms of like you could have put another movie out might have bombed because the last one is so bad i toby maguire ones were at the biggest movie ever right after movie movie or like superheroes superhero spider-man to still the tobey maguire with dhaka colds up very well. I one dozen moments in there yeah so so they made a deal with disney disney earned five percent of the prophet to share spiderman and use spiderman in their universe so they got to use awesome in the vendors civil war on loan. Yes now they come time to renegotiate the deal and the girl at the head of sony there kevin kevin feige is kind of the worst and always makes these bone headed decisions so she goes. If far from home doesn't make a billion dollars. We have to renegotiate far from home makes a billion dollars. She said fuck it were renegotiating anybody who and disney x. for an increase from five percent to fifty at that point. They didn't even make a counteroffer offer. They said we're taking spiderman. Forget about and they five percents. A fifty percent is a maybe. I don't know they deserve it. They would but going going from five to fifty and it's like yeah. I don't care what you deserve. That's just an negotiation. That ain't gonna happen. You know i i could be worth. I could be worth five million dollars. A year of ourselves sports like you're you're. You're not gonna get that big of a race. It's just like they don't they. Don't have to in logically. It's just not gonna go you know in that. That could be the first thing i number you. Put out there trying to negotiate. Ah the weird thing is i've seen some people say disney was also offering to put up fifty percent of the budget and marketing for all that they would be like putting money in to get their money back and dan would a lot of people are saying is an anon- spiderman movie might not meralco hundred percent of that might make what you would make with fifty percent right if the actual m._c. You gresh at this point is what six hundred thousand dollars so the m._c. You convert millionaires are are are so much better than the movies and the old kind of movies and even the ones do they have specific writers or better like what is it all boils down to kevin feige having like one guy at the top like overseeing everything making sure in his nose comic books or he knows movies or both yeah and he also not just him but his his team and and they also know that their formula works have formula ever stray from it d._c. Just using it and it's like this you're making making a bad cake formula though because all of their movies wound up being a mess they wanted to put in like too much in this that the next thing but are there at least like they're dark and it's always manning manning andrew. That's that's the formula reading and i don't even i haven't seen any of the movie since i don't even know the last one i saw but i hated it so i haven't really seen any everybody suicide squad and it's just was like always raining and the the joker so that independent and it's like separate from everything it's technically d._c. But it's not like part of the dc universe. That's a d._c. D._c. property route. It's topic man joe d._c. Comics they're not. It's not like the same guy who did batman versus superman. The joker completely separate team doing that one and that one on his. I'm like a little afraid that that was getting over hyped to a certain extent because everyone's saying walking phoenix is going to get nominated for best actor at the oscars. They're saying it's gonna get everyone's certain legs late. Yeah comic book movies are not going to win oscars at least for like a little. I don't think this is i don't think i would you know be so different. I get that but it's still like instills. Comic book characters a precedent for joker being an i mean i guess you oscar for bob. Did you see what andrew garfield said. I don't think he said it recently but it's recirculating leading now. Because of the news now he gave a a bite <hes> and he basically was saying he was so disappointed because sony he was like his very very evident that sony does not prioritise story. He was like yeah they think of it as a superhero movie and they're like we're going to have some big broad action scenes and it's going to be the the divers. The villain sell a lot of toys and he was like he's like during production. He was like he became evident. Well really care about the story. That may all be true but you also stink into garfield. He was all right. I mean to say that is key like yeah. Every everybody gets blamed for that that should sucked docked but sony does have that issue where like with a bunch of their stories where they don't care like the leaked. Sony emails cannot years ago the girl that's their kevin fight. He was on all those it was. I was talking to jeff deal about it and he was like yeah. She thought it would be good. If spider mak could connect to the children meaning they want him to vape and go to like ray ceases and they wanted spiderman like ripping on a jewel all these scenes that was sony's idea of what spiderman ask kevin dyke's departure. Is tom hall yeah and it's the greatest spiderman formante anyone's ever see. That's what sucks is that this is all happening with. Tom holland coming into his prize his contract with marvel or sony. He doesn't have a contract with either technically. I believe i believe he's just signing. Running on movies must be. They're saying he's expected to return. I don't believe that i just don't believe that hill sony they think they're gonna crossover him and like venom venom. Tom hardy which like that holland has. All i saw i was actually pleasantly surprised. I didn't see it in theaters. I saw on demand free on demand h._b._o. Or something like that one nine years ago i was maybe this movie tomorrow. Okay so yeah okay. I'm confused but like a marvel entity but that movie was made by sony. Okay yeah not not disney. Fights enjoyed it everyone else. I've talked to you about the movie. That's terrible right at least i..

"Why don't care about that? It's like bullshit. You what you care about is making green yet. Like, he's just he's just lying. So he can get this job because he knows what was going mean for. But over time. I I know he needs to make that money, and they did a good job showing why he needs to make his money. But at the same time, I don't think that he would have been I think he would have been more resistant to work in for a black person. Especially when you're talking about like the impression that he has to make it from his boy 'cause you working for me work here. We'll give you a job where you work with the monkey over there. I thought like you wouldn't want to suffer the embarrassment. I don't think that was convincing in the movie how he went to work for this guy in but just agreeable right off the bed with that. Say that it took them talking to it. Oh, yeah. I guess I mean, he was he was pretty resistant in the beginning. You think so? Yeah. See that's where we're going to disagree because I did not see that. But you, but you did that's cool. I think the biggest surprise, oh at it was at the end of the movie Spiderman popped up. You know, the always, you know, I was surprised at the end of the movie to learn before I say this. It'd be let me before I say this. Let me just say this. I think that. A really enjoyed this movie more than these type of race films. Because is I think it's putting something out there that a lot of people don't realize this is this is a this is a really educational movie for a lot of people, including myself because I didn't know about this. "I'm curious if what's happening here is that he says to Peter, like, hey, look, you know, you can't be running around as Spiderman every time you're as Peter Parker somewhere because you kinda barely got away with showing up in Washington right s. Spiderman when you just so happen to be on a field trip there. And now you're on a field trip it in Europe and spider Spiderman just so happens to pop up everywhere you are and it's like, yeah, you kinda got to play low key. So. Maybe this is some kind of shit where it's like, we're going to give you this so you can still do your Spiderman thing, but not destroyed up, be looking like Spiderman everytime Peter Parker somewhere spider-man's in that same place even when you've left a country. Right? Because Spiderman is usually mainly in New York for the most part. So for him to pop up in Washington, and now Europe and shit like that. It's gonna be like, yeah, what the flex going on. It's not gonna make a real difficult for your Valence to figure out your secret identity at that point. Right? But the other costume, this one. This is the one that you don't care for. No, no. Go back to the other black picks the other black Cockayne going. Oh, here this, this this. No, that's the only that's the suit is just a different drawing. But yes, this is from the comics. This is this is yes, God, I cannot say, superior spider man. What don't you said it I know right. You're not getting what I'm seeing here. Let's go back. Oh, that that is that that's the Spiderman to are costume. Yeah, I don't like that. That's what is it looks similar to his tactical. I think that's what they're going through, paying homage to it. We're not gonna just straight up. Put him in that costume and shit, but I think that tact cool sue is kind of especially with the black mask and the white goggles and shit, I guess, but that look stupid. Well, let's Marmon wars from nineteen thirties, come home, and he looks like fucking the shadow or some shit. That's what we're eating. But this is, I mean, it's this reminds me of like they said in article. He looks like when doctor octopus kill Spiderman and takes over his body and he's saying, I'm going to be a better Spiderman than you ever where he starts to change the costume, and he's more like violent and shit like that. But I like I like this black too, like they were saying it looks like really dark navy. I'm like, no, that's a straight up black. I mean, I guess it can tend to sit sit and where I'm at. It kind of looks navy, but no blood ash takes your right there that looks black. And I like what they did with the Hanes where it's kind of like the thumb lists, glove thing, you know thumbed sleeves. I like you. I'm curious as to the story reasons of why he has so many different costumes, especially when he's in New York because it's like, okay, when does this take place? Because again, this movie. I'm assuming takes place before Infinity war because Peter dies at the end of Infinity war. So I don't know how they're going to make that make sense and or work. So I'm curious as to what you know what's going to happen with that. But. I don't know like now I know you're not a shoe Spiderman fan, but what how do you feel about any of these? Like the ones that we've seen so far? I mean, we don't know why it's happening, but just looking at it. It really does nothing for me. Would you just rather prefer just traditional blue and red in don't fuck with it. It's not a matter of sticking with tradition. It's a matter of how you incorporate that. And from photos alone, I, I can take it s phase value and say, it does nothing for me either way. I won't know until there's some context as to why it looks the way it looks sure or I guess I'll just aesthetically. Do you like the design or would you rather just like looking at it almost looks like a rubber suit to me. Oh, well, yeah. Yeah, yeah. And that looks cheap. Yeah, and I'm like, I'm like, I realize the economy might not be the best what to be fair..

"I think twain Johnson's going to bust through the wall next to you say how dare you in a second. You're welcome. Onto other ruby trailer. Just released today, believe we have a new trailer for probably the my most highly anticipated Spiderman for sure movie this year in definitely not venom. It's into the spider verse. This is the animated film nation studios, and it looked so I was super excited about it at first, but now this trailer got me all kinds of confused. So hopefully you hopefully you. I mean, did you even know they're going to be? Yes, alterable spider people. So the first trailer had to Spiderman in it already. I missed that entirely. The first trailer is the main character smells Morales, and it looks like it's going to be the telling of how he becomes Spiderman in the world where Peter Parker already exists, right? This is what happened in the comic books when when miles Morales which came out of the ultimate marvel universe when the when that universe collapse, he was one of the surviving members who got brought into the marvel six one, six universe. And so you have an adult Spiderman that we is, which is technically the same around that we all grew up with, you know, with time line shift here and there and events condensed here and there. But with a younger kid, New York who also has spider powers and some other powers wells. You can also cloak. Yes, some shocking stinging powers by the general. The gist of it is the also got bit by some type of mutant spider and he has spider powers. No, this movie's called into the spider verse because as readers of Spiderman comics. No, there's more than just MAs Morales and Peter Parker. There's all. Also a whole universe of different spider people, Spiderman famous for having clones the Ben Reilly clones. There's also spider Gwen and you're, you're overloading, you get you get out or spider ham every week, and it sounds all these characters are making have some place in this movie every week. You guys come up with a major new change to the marvel universe spider ham. Wonder if you just sitting there like these of lying. Like how long talking with confidence and there's BSN and if to compete, it's all Jeremy. I will make an agreement with you that one of these weeks coming up in the next month, we will do that. We will just straight up lie. If you can figure it out, tell the truth. The radio gelling me that all these spider people actually ties in with a comic book series or many. Many of them Spiderman to are, for example, where believe is voiced by nNcholas cage in this movie. Like that's an alternate reality spider man, that's gonna goals. He's he's all black and white. I think that was created for an old activision game where you played on new war spider-man's zero, nine, nine. There's a pigs by person ham, dude. Seriously. Yes, you know his name. Yes, yes. And the new trailers also because it's also self aware about the past Spiderman movies like the opening sequence, the the adult Spiderman who I believe is played by the actor from new girl who's traffic world. Forget his name. Very. Recognizable voice. He talks about he's the spider man that we're supposed to soon like the grownup Tobey Maguire Spider-Man prime Spiderman prime shore least in cinematic, universe wise is gorgeous. The look really good. Yeah, and it really looks cool. I've never seen animation quite like this. It doesn't feel like directed DVD movie. It looks like, you know, do you know anything about the production of it is? Is it there a three d. element to the animation or is it strictly cell-based? Oh, I mean, it's all shares to create that affect. There's no selling emission, their computer graphics, all computer graphics with with shades to make it look shaded as opposed to handwrite. There's don't think there's any hand-drawn there. So as it is three d. it's all thirty, it's all not thirty in the sense that you were thirty glasses, but it's all modeled. Yes, Pixar style, big hero, six style really not hand-drawn introduction. This is one of the first comic. Book, movies, quote, unquote, that actually looks a little bit like a comic book. And I think that's why I'm so excited about that sort of art style to it..

"I like the the whole fight like the the thing, like where he sees the reflection of a car being thrown at the restaurant for Mary Jane's is that sets a whole fight like that whole thing's in Saint there actually, but also makes no sense. Like what was what? Dr? Whatever's whatever octopus plan Spiderman to like, hey, what's up spider, man. I'm here. I what he Spiderman. He thought that was Peter Parker Spiderman. So he threw car Peter Parker to get his attention. But Peter Parker was dude has been killed by a car. He says, Spiderman, that's an Octo is they call that there's a wonderful moment in the video game that references the train scene for Spiderman. As if it is canon for the video games delight, which is, which is really great. It was like us. I happen to really vehemently disliked that train sequence from that movie. But I understand people have a soft spot in their heart for it. I will take the Otto Octavius from the video game over over Molina's Otto, Octavius any day of the week. But I, I understand your enthusiasm as they're both. Great. And but you know, putting aside the action scenes, I love that Spiderman two is about identity. It's about this character grappling with who he is, who should be and whether or not he's willing to make the sacrifice to be the hero that Gotham. I mean, you know, New York City needs. And so I think it's, it's still a brilliant superhero films. One of the best ones and I, I would say the tone, the music, the feel of Spiderman. Two is very similar in a lot of ways to the Spiderman game is probably the biggest. The biggest direct inspiration is from the film. My like my read on it, but they're both awesome. They're both us and you know, you brought the music in the video game and it's worth, I think, underscoring just how wonderful all of the sound design is. Of the video game. The music not only is excellent, but it also comes in just the right moments. It it swells as you as you swing through the city. At every time you leap into the air, it it, it lifts you, you know it is. It is really well orchestrated and and score to the action that you are actually performing in the game. And they do a lot of really clever things too. With all of the dialogue, there's a lot of storytelling as you're progressing through the city. It's not just cut scenes, although there are a lot of those as well. It's also storytelling as you're playing as you're swinging the through the city, and they actually recorded all the dialogue, multiple times to dynamically switch between if you are standing still as Spiderman or swinging so that the actor who played Spiderman recorded his lines, sort of out of breath as if he was strenuously swing through the city so that it made sense, didn't sound like this call guy, but then. You know, not knowing if the player was listening to the cut scene just standing still or perched on top of a building. They also recorded it calmly. So the game actually dynamically switches out, so it all sounds right. And those subtle things go such a long way in making it all feel like it's actually happening. Agreed. Agreed. A lot of nice little subtle touches that make the game extremely Mercer, strongly recommend game marvel Spiderman for PS four and also recommend the film Spiderman two as well. But by the way, just briefly, well, around the topic of games. I wanna say Shehdeh to all the folks from telltale lay. That is a sad, sad story. They've made some of my favorite narrative games over the past few years that I Walking Dead is one of my favorite games of all time..

"I know a lot of people have compared to to the Batman Arkham games, and I will say that I kind of agree. The combat is very, very, very, very reminiscent of the Batman Arkham games. Boy, that being said, I mean, all the way down to the gadgets and the, you know. And this is spider sense, but the kind of like, you know, oh, someone's gonna hit you. You need to dodge stuff like that. Like the waves of enemies and how you find them. I, it feels a lot like that, but I will say that it makes more sense in this game than it did in the Batman games. This feels like this is the combat system that makes sense for Spiderman and some of the other Spiderman games in the past that was one of the weaker spots was that web swinging fund the stories cool, but fighting isn't the greatest. This utilizes Spiderman and his powers probably the most. Effectively and creatively that I've ever seen, for example, there's a move that you can do where you kick an enemy and then you can while you kick them. So it's more like not just a standing up, kick butt a, you're kind of jumping off your back and kicking them with both feet and you can stick to them and then pull them back with you and in throw them with your feet because obviously Spiderman can stick to services and shit. So it was the first time I think in any Spiderman game or any anything actually comics or movies or otherwise that I've seen, at least. I mean, there may be some out there, but I haven't come across it, but it's the first time I've actually seen someone used spider-man's ability to stick to surfaces as a part of his fighting style. Like the first time I saw in the move list and actually purchased it, and you know. Able to execute on an enemy character. I was like, this is like the coolest thing ever. I mean, it's quick. It's short, it's small, but just the idea behind it that you could kick somebody in than stay stuck to them and then throw them with your legs because they're still attached to you. Like the idea of that was so fucking cool. Now, the spider since is invaluable in this game. I'm playing it on hard mode. So the enemies put you down in like three, fuck and hits if you're not careful. So having these spider sense in the wage you can buy once you're alerted to an incoming attack is just it's really fluid. And initially it can be a little bit difficult. But if you play any of the Batman Arkham games, your muscle memory kind of kicks in and you just kind of do your thing. You can tell that there was a lot of TLC that went into designing this game and that the people over. Insomnia games really took the time to go into the lore and make the story their own and as well really get down to the core elements of what makes a Spiderman game fun..

"I'm more than certain Salem Steph talking, probably, yeah. See witches warlocks to basically would have. I can't think of the name of them, but like pets, not. The United, be pets, but then they're like guide guys. Sure. Helpers, spear animal. Yeah. Okay. Okay. Salem is going to be like, oh yeah, I'm sure, I'm sure. And or maybe even they, maybe they won't necessarily have. Maybe it'd be like a telepathic connection that they have an speak to each other through dot in the NATO half to see g the cat. I mean, who knows? We'll see. But like I said, I haven't read the comic so I don't know how they communicate with each other in that. Dr do type shit only. She pretty much. Dessange daddy's doctored Hulu on this today. Sabrina, the teenage which either like this should is going to be dark commute. Whoa. As good, I don't think is right to make sex jokes about a teenage protagonist, maybe. I don't know. I don't know if the actual actresses it's all fictional show. It's fine. Somebody will probably get mad, but it'll be fine. Oh, somebody will always the internet too. It's like you just the fact that we spoke in somebody's probably mad. And it will continue being the internet unless the EU pass this resolution next year. So for real, I'm not bullshitting you if you live over in any of those countries in the EU contacted him peas, you're an Pige MVP's your prime ministers government officials, whomever they are over where you are, tell them to vote this down. Seriously. This is bad news for everybody who's on the internet. Everybody who will ever get on the internet. Everybody who's listening to this right now. I can't stress that enough. No, you are. Absolutely right. It's sad, but you're sad, but you're. It's going to be a special thing here at the end just getting little me Mike, c. squared. I wanted to take some time to talk about something very, very important to me. The fucking Spiderman is for. So I, as you well, know if you've listened to this for more than like half an episode, I'll fucking low Spiderman, Spiderman as has down my favorite superhero. I've probably played almost every Spiderman game since the first movie came out now, the older games, the older councils like the s. and she'll like I never played those. But from Spiderman, the game on from the original same or Amy movie. On forward. I've played every single one. And this I can probably honestly say, is hands down the best one I've played today eight for a multitude of different reasons. First and foremost, this is probably the best Spiderman movie that has never been made the story in this. Oh, and by the way I do my best to try and voice spoilers for anyone who has had a chance to play chat. There'll be some minor spoilers some things to happen towards like the first hour of the game. But I'm sorry, I have to explain it some kind of way, but. Yeah. The story in this is really, really good. It takes. Everything that we love about these Spiderman universe and not only. Infra sizes and flushes it out, but it kinda turns on its head as well. The characterization of Peter Parker and Mary Jane and aunt may and a lot of his rogues gallery..

I want to phrase where I would refer everyone bud and guy. You're, you're a big guy along. Yeah, a part and the robot nesh. He's didn't like it at all it like Sidney down. I like, yeah, you got a cellphone people. To complain about. I was gonna say, what's what's more anticipated something about you calling yourself, Spiderman. I like like, you know, it was categorized us into different cashiers and you're always the best one, Spiderman or your Batman, your the Ron Spiderman Batman are kind of the counterparts for DC Morville. We make sense it on both of them. I like seeing the whole MBA kid more than seeing Spiderman do move and website tricks that's false. What he say. No, I like seeing the hulk HOGAN out rather than seeing Spiderman do as Spidey tricks and I'll tell you watching the whole coke out is one of the great cinematic things too. Yeah, it's always phone, Catherine. Naga just owner shield, Liger frisbee bouncing around, but that's why I found it. So funny, Infinity war where you just couldn't get it out and hit in like, I hated it. On teddy had his whole cancer. Hoax. Too big, I, but the night they fucked up doctor, strange factors arm up. Who was he? The villain. Oh, yeah. The black war for whatever you call up city and hope would fucking body him. And this is sucks. Knowing that we didn't get it until bed that Thanos had to give them the hands like that. You did Thanos ahead man. That I leave out the s well, that's all right. It's that oh plural. Be here forever. Seeing Donald's Duke it up. Well, the Spiderman game. I mean, are you guys both getting it. I haven't gone Spiderman game since let's spike like Spiderman. Two were one or the amazing Spiderman. It was for place Spiderman to place Asian. Is that what it was? The amazing spider man on the first level three was the first level is like you swinging like on top of the buildings, and then you go into the Bank robber ultra, but it was an actual was big bird. I believe that you played a shocker in that game. I feel like it'd be cheating with the on the Arkham series if I play these and that's ridiculous. You're always like that too. Man. See, I have a bone to pick with you too. You have this weird brand loyalty both digging today. Oh, you're both like that? I don't like I don't like you move your movies your basement now..

"I'll give it a try but I'm not. Really excited about it but this is an? Alternate universe where there's more than one Spiderman, and so he's an older Spiderman and he's. Trying to train a. Younger kid to, become Spiderman in Spiderman into the spider's Spiderman into the spider verse it's. Peter Parker at forty. It's Peter Parker kind of. Tired of being Spiderman but needing help from a fourteen year old kid who might be more talented than him which. Is a tough pill to swallow for anybody who knows what it's like to get a little bit older generations here and they're kind. Of. Thing. It, seems like your version of, Peter? Parker. Is I mean you're not a slob you're almost a homeless Spiderman I like to view it as. The very, realistic Peter Parker it's. The next morning Peter Parker Yeah it's pretty funny he's he's a total slob and. He doesn't care anymore and he's trying to train to fourteen year old, really looks, great? Luck you can. Only be a superhero for so. Long before it starts to you know right Milana fighting troops all we love her so much we love her so much and she was. Talking to us and she squirrel girl in marvel rising and. I didn't necessarily nail. Her name Take it from from top Tiga it's Milana I've never said this, before, but gives, us a spin because that's oh that's really, that's something she's wearing a squirrel squirrel outfit and she has a giant, tail goes from like the bottom, of her but to, maybe? Her shoulder. Blades she's a squirrel Kevin. Right I know but. Then I wasn't expecting this attack is permanent I. Have sown into my butthole now. I can't. I can't. Do nothing about it. It hurts I'm committed that's anything. For marvel Craziest she she's the, best? Soda into. Rebuttal all right so I'm. Positive that you're going. To be able to see all of these interviews. And their full length okay I. Have no. Idea when. I've no idea where Get information we'll get that. To you. "PS four and this big announcement of the PS four pro bundle with the cool Spiderman branding unread. It's got that icon a video game, Spiderman white logo because I think white kind of carved out for the video game as being the the differentiator there is that that spider. His white in the video game. And so it is also on this cool console at the whole top is spider logo. It's got a red dual shock controller in that looks really slick when the blue light on the front lights out, it's got red and white, and then that blue light shines looks very Spiderman. You're digging this one, I love it. I mean, it's, I normally don't like these kinds of just prefer regular vanilla consuls and I don't put stickers on my consuls, but I just love how restrained they were with their design. I mean, it's just like big, bright screaming, candy, apple, red with a logo, a nice Spiderman logo. There's not like, you know, thirteen spider-man's crawling around it or cobwebs everywhere, or you know the green goblin flying around. It's just like the simple cool design, and I think I love it. I think it's great. Yeah, it doesn't link the site of somebody's van. Those those custom things will just look to like too far too much. Yeah. It doesn't have like wizards or anything on it. Or a pack of wolves running through the forest chasing demon? Yeah. When when this was announced Christian, you and I were in the same room, we were talking about it and I actually voiced feelings very similar to what Mark just said about how I don't usually go for stuff like this, but man, that one, that one for some reason. Got me kind of excited. I don't. I don't really care about the branded halo XBox and the branded Star Wars PS four and none of them have really floated my boat, but that's Spiderman logo. Something about that Spiderman Logan, the bright red like Mark was talking about that feels different and you are not so certain right. Why just got upset for my own personal console center, right? Think the comment I made to you as is going to have to be vertical and I'd have no space for vertical console, like it's so icon EQ. And I think part of it the reason why tempt out to you and I is we both love the character so much, and I imagine same for Mark as well. I mean such an iconic character and this is a clean representation of that and to know that I would have that slid horizontally in an entertainment center. It was just like, kind of like the same thing with the collector's edition for the game. I really want this. I have. I literally have nowhere my house to put the little scope that it comes with, but I really want it and same with consul it was like, this looks really nice really clean, and I would never see it because it would just be an close entertainment center. So I think it's good because it saved me four hundred bucks, but it's a really sharp design, especially control. You're right. Like at the end of the day, I love it, but I wouldn't buy it. I mean, unless I was actually really in the market for pro. Oh, and I went to the store and there it was because it doesn't cost any more. Right, right. Yeah. You know, I feel like this is the early adopters cross to bear is, you know, I got the first one and so I got the, I got the one, I guess..

"Lot about it because it's a dan slot thing so i haven't read a lot of so let's but the idea of it makes more sensitive movie because it's she gets she doesn't ever have to meet spiderman but he's bitten by the same spider and they can allude to that someway without actually having spiderman there they can do clever things familiar with silk at all i know who she is but other than her being bitten by the same spider i think she came out of the storyline with the watcher it it was before spire verse in after but it was like the where the watcher like all his secrets were oh that's right i'll expose so everything came out where people realized yes so store had had there's female thor and all the silk is cindy moons he's a korean american and she was bitten after the spider bid peter when he was in high school it crawled off and bit her her powers are similar but they're little bit different her spider sense is a better she she has a photographic memory like she remembers everything and then the weirdest thing was when the two met they were really sexually attracted to each other like right away they just they to mate every time they were each other they start making out it was hilarious so they try to stay away from each other but her her spider senses a little bit stronger that we've seen cindy moon in the city she was in of homecoming there is a character named cindy i don't know if they gave her last name in the cat in the cast list she may be sending money it was it was an asian girl and she was playing semi bone that's still so here's the fun thing they could do if that that would would not meet for a while or you're she's like in like in like in jail or something zeki remember zeki from the spider totem guy he locks her away because like the weavers and morlin but that doesn't make sense that she's in homecoming it makes more sense that they start here with her being confined in some kind of underground base so she may not be the and she doesn't even know where she came from but you can all point back to the fact that she got bit by simpson like she's locked in this box literally for decade and peter freezer and then like morlin in the weavers and they find her and now she's in danger but now she's out and about and she works at the bugle and she's like a reporter also here's a fun thing they can do they haven't shown us the tom holland's origin of spiderman yet nobody wants to see right now what if in the silk movie you do the flashback to her origin and you see tom hong bit and then you see her get bit and that's the only cameo and her story goes off there that be kind of fun i don't know well if they don't have a spiderman in venom they're not gonna do it here do you think he's gonna show up in venom harling i don't can't jesus okay look say this i i like the idea of a silk full film i don't like the idea of sony doing it without spiderman yeah yeah well we'll we'll get into why in this next news bit you're not gonna like this next thing like this next one is more concrete than the silk thing they said all the to be fair they said they were into a black silk black and it's been poached back and they said craven the hunter and they had all these other if and when venom bombs because i i'm predicting that right now that he's gonna bomb oh boy i don't think they're going to be moving forward with a lot of these plans hairs a movie they're moving forward very quickly they have a script director and a start to starring in a more bs movie which is another spiderman vampire character jared lead hid set to star as he got to suck as the joker and now he's going to suck as more bs boo was horrible sorry it's a pet you as more as a science vampire now okay first of all let's break this out gerald had a lot to live up to playing joker worse joker ever this i feel like maybe more possessively he's a creepy looking motherfucker he kind of looks.
