"I was first inspired by The Rock and shock convention and spooky world. So I thought it was only right to hold it in our home state. The tickets are selling really, really well. And we hope that this becomes an annual thing. That's the idea. And beyond that, you know, maybe we'll expand to do the silver screen con, a couple, maybe a few times a year, maybe there's one in LA or maybe there's one in Chicago, but yeah, definitely one of the first one to be based in Massachusetts. And it's danvers is right next to Salem, which obviously has a huge history of the macabre and spirits and obviously the witch trials. So we thought, oh man, this is not only a cool opportunity for people to come from all over the world, which we've been seeing by tickets from Australia and all over Europe to see the convention, but maybe stay a few days and check out Salem because there's many sites to see. And that's a great idea too, because I think it's days of the dead. They have kind of the franchise. They do it in Chicago and they do an Indianapolis and silver scream. You could do the same. If it becomes a hit, that's a great idea. Thank you. And I was excited to call it the silver screen because obviously, you know, we've got our kind of franchise albums that we're building called that under that umbrella, and I was thinking, what could we call it that would have obviously the brand name recognition for our fans, but if you didn't know ice 9 kills or know about the album, it just sounds like a cool name for a horror convention. So I was excited about that. I'm surprised no one's used it before. Me too. I remember searching. I got someone's gotta use that. No. So I was looking through the website and I saw a couple sold out things and I clicked on the first one and it's the ice 9 kills gig that you guys are doing, which obviously anytime you see sold out on any anything associated with ice 9 kills or a

"So I've been doing these horror conventions and leading not only the great fans, but these celebrities, you know, most of these people are just the nicest folks you could possibly meet and they're so gracious and excited that anyone wants to wait in line to meet them. So it just seemed like the perfect time to do it. We seem to meet enough people where the band name is known to a lot of these actors now, whether it's from fans of ours, tweeting at them, saying, oh, you got to check out Danielle Harris. You got to check out this band. I just think hills. Do a whole song about Halloween. The last convention that we did really sort of sent it over the edge for me in terms of we got to do this because we did this Florida one called schoola and we even had a show element to it where we played and we're playing in this club and I look up and James U Courtney who plays the new Michael Myers there and Ari Lehman who played Jason and we're playing these songs based on the movies and the work that they've done and just seeing that the connection to them and the connection to the audience it just seems like the right time for the silver screen con. Okay, so it's the right time. So what do you do? Location, you gotta find a hotel that has done this before. Like where do you even start? Very good question. So one of the conventions that I had done, I think it was the first one I ever had done was called astronomical, put on by this guy, George, and I like, and they manage the band twisted. And they've developed a really great setup for astronomical. I went to it. It was in Michigan, just a little outside of Detroit, and I was blown away by the professionalism of how it was set up and how the guests were taken care of and how every little logistic was great. I mean, I went into my hotel room and in there, you know, waiting for me was like a customized hockey Jersey that said my name on the back. They're like, these guys have got it down. So when the idea came to do our own convention, I was like, we got to hook up with these guys because they're pros. This is our first time doing it. And we don't want to go in and put on a mediocre show for the first one. We want it to be slick and polished and awesome.

"And I wanted to talk to you more about it. Obviously, we have a Kindred spirit of horror movie fanaticism. But what led you to say that I'm going to go the next mile and start my whole new horror movie convention. Well, I remember the first time I ever went to one of these was at this convention, they used to do in Massachusetts and Worcester, I'm sure you're familiar with the palladium. Worcester. They used to do something called rock and shock. And I just remember discovering what that was and I was like, wait a minute. You're telling me, I can go into this place. And not only buy amazing masks and all this horror, memorabilia, and t-shirts, but you get to meet the people from these movies that I love. The whole concept blew my mind. And I was like, you know, a kid in a candy shop just getting to meet everyone from Kane hodder to Bill Moseley, people that we started to work with now, but it was crazy. And I remember also one of the things that got my mind on it was I love this horror theme park called spooky world that my dad took me to when I was a little kid in Berlin, Massachusetts like deep in the Woods and burling Massachusetts. And he took me when I was like 5 or 6 in the first two years he took me. I was too scared to go in. I had him drive all the way there and someone like, you know, we got there and like some guy dressed as a chainsaw maniac jumped out of me and I said, dad, I want to go home right now. We just got it. But what I finally got the courage to actually go, it was incredible and after the hay ride portion of it, the haunted hay ride. You got to meet the celebrities from the film, so I met Kane hodder, and this is back in the Jason goes to hell era. In George Wilbur, who played Michael Myers a couple of times. And I just remember the feeling of being able to interact with those people. And I thought this is perfect for what our fans love and I'm really excited. It's all come together. I remember just to jump on that when I was gosh, I was still living in St. Louis, so I was probably 5 or 6 years old and for some reason I was able to convince my mom to take me through like a haunted house and it's one of those ones where it's like a Universal Studios where you walk through and you see all the things surrounding and you walk and I remember after about three or four minutes I was terrified but you can't go back because there's too many people behind you. So remember my mom just carry me and there was this lady in a bathtub of blood. And I remember she was lying there and I was just freaking out and she looked at me and she was trying to be nice and she kind of smiled at me like it's okay little guy and it just threw me over the edge of it. She's smiling every go. But those memories have caused us to become these people that we are today. That sounds awesome. I wish I got to go to that one. I can see anyone in a bathtub of blood. You mentioned that you did the hayride and all this other stuff. So you decide that you want to do a horror movie convention. We spoke last time when you're a new record came out and just all the horror elements. We discussed maybe trying to do something together for one of your videos. It didn't work out, but it will in the future. Very much ice 9 kills is a horror movie based band, which kind of ties into all your songs and your gimmick and your stage presentation. And in my opinion, one of the best, most exciting new bands in the world today because of that. So you've always had the horror tie in. So what made you decide like I want to go do my own convention now? Well, thank you so much for saying that, man. I appreciate

What Is the Conservative Base Focusing On?

"So let me ask you Ken, what is really the conservative base right now focusing on in the last week, uptick of traffic, what are you monitoring? Because you monitor trends, you monitor what clicks are getting, what right now are people focusing on. This is kind of an interesting, by the way, for our audience, a non legacy media way of tracking public opinion, Kane. What are people focusing on right now? All right. Well, yeah, that's a good question. See if P nation has been fired up about what happened in Mar-a-Lago, obviously. And I'll get into some of the specifics of that. But I wanted to talk a little bit about that traffic chart that you put up. It's insane. You talk about it in the days of the woke left. So from the beginning, part of the point of CFP was never to be able to be canceled, which meant I didn't develop social media at all. There's no Facebook page. We do have a rock and Twitter feed now that Spencer Neil is running. He's one of the guys who works for me. He used to work for Washington examiner, was a political reporter. And he has that feed rocking. Well, we practically never linked to stories on citizen free press. So there was no sort of social media brand. And part of why the traffic blows people away is there's a huge number of conservatives who have still never heard of this site. They all know breitbart, they all know gateway. They all know Davy wire. They all know a huge number of these sites just because they have large social media presences.

"Very well. Thanks for chatting with me today. I appreciate it. Again, follow him on Twitter at Adam Spencer for checkout Saturday down south you guys know that obviously it's a fixture for so many SEC fans. In the meantime, he's ranked him LSU one Texas a and M two South Carolina three auburn four Florida 5 Tennessee 6 7, Mississippi 8, Alabama 9, Arkansas ten, all right? So that's a little bit of the list. If you have an issue with it, you can certainly call in and defend the ranking that you think is wrong. Tell me what atmosphere you think is the best in all of college football. All of the SEC will take more of your calls 8 5 5 two four two 7 two 8 5 8 5 5 two four two poll more your calls on the Paul finebaum show next. FX presents the old man in Afghanistan. I've been talking to you guys about pressure about the playoffs, but then I really we're all over the place with SEC football. But what does that surprise? That's what we do here. All right? A lot of conversation about the rankings. Clay in Georgia calling in to the Paul fine bomb show clay. Thanks for calling me, man. What you got? Thanks for hanging out with me. What's going on? Living that dream, brother, how are you? Pretty good. So about the rankings. I pretty much agree with him on like the first two, but South Carolina had three to kind of rack my brain a bit a little bit. You know, South Carolina besides them putting the road team in the sun and baking like a chicken on the grill. I don't understand. There's nothing about South Carolina that's really even remotely intimidating besides being hot. LSU I've been LSU is 100% a crazy atmosphere. Maybe because they've been drinking all the food who's moonshine and eating devil's breath freaking food all day and have indigestion, but that is a crazy environment. Texas a and M have never been, I would love to go, but that would be pretty intimidating with over a 100,000 fans. I've been Alabama. Yes, the team, the coach, everything about it, is 100% intimidating, but I would still say when they, when they turn dixieland and I don't at the end of the third quarter and that stadium is on all fours, I'm telling you, that is a crazy stadium. I'm a Georgia fan. I think I've been in some crazy atmospheres at Georgia. And I think it ranks up in their top 5, but auburn is another one that is pretty damn crazy, loud as hell. You can't really even think because it's so loud, but South Carolina at three is really mind boggling because the only thing they got going for them is putting their road fans and frigging the sun. Yeah, I actually, I don't disagree with you, man. Thanks for the call. I thought South Carolina was high. And I think frankly, from my experiences, Florida, a little bit low. I mean, Florida, 5. The swamp hit me. I'm not gonna lie, I was there with game day a couple of years ago. And obviously we did the show in the morning. And then that afternoon that night went over to the stadium where that afternoon went over to the stadium. And it was wild. Like, y'all know that, but it hit hard. Like, Neil and stadium obviously with me spending a lot of time in Nashville for 25 years of my life. I think I've been there a bunch of times, and I think it's a special atmosphere, also some of the nicest fans. I don't know if I just had a weird experience, but it's amazing how kind. I've been to a bunch of Tennessee games where the ball is lost and everybody's like, we'll get you next time. Weirdest thing I've ever seen. But I'm not sure anything I've seen anywhere in college football tops that would shoot. Like LSU. To me, this was a clear cut LSU one, Texas a and M two. I got no problem with that after that. It's almost like, what flavor of ice cream do you like? We can all agree that if it's Neapolitan ice cream, the strawberry is the best the chocolate's the worst. The rest of it's just the vanilla, right? So I think we all agree on that, at least I feel like in my mind, I'm in Montgomery. I'm in next call in the ball fine but I'm sure I haven't heard from you yet today. So always happy when the regulars call, man, thanks for hanging out with me. Hey, I appreciate you taking my call. I got three things real quick if I can remember them. I see the WNBA basketball star pled guilty. Have you been traveling around musically? You've been in and out of the country, right? Mmm um.

"Welcome back, talking to James comeo. Here he is. James comeo, your new book, which is about C. S. Lewis's book pair of landra. Your book is called mystical peril Indra. My lifelong reading of C. S. Lewis and his favorite book, you write about so much in mystical para landra. I mean, when you're talking about Lewis, you're sort of talking about everything. And it's kind of like what you said about what Lewis said about Edmund Spencer, who wrote the fairy queen and what we say about Louis. He touches everything. You know, Henry James said something about Shakespeare, which I think is true of C. S. Lewis. He said, the thing about Shakespeare is nothing was lost on him. And everybody who knew Louis, he had this memory filed, nothing was everything was present. Everything you ever read was present to him, you know? And a lot of it is in this book, which is almost a summa of western cosmology, theology, Lewis beliefs, it's extraordinary. You don't have to read it at that depth. You can enjoy it as an action adventure epic. Right. But once you decide to read into it, there's

"That's the worst place for Alabama to have it because that's the person who can do the most damage to them. Spencer hall joining us. Do you believe we saw Kirby smart in Georgia get pushed around by auburn in 2017 on the planes? They came back a couple of weeks later and physically dominated the tigers. Do you have any faith that Georgia is able to correct those mistakes and solve the problems? No, because I think there's just there's still a big preexisting issue in difference between the two teams. And it's that you have one guy that you can't defend. The numbers don't really work out for you. And at one point, you're going to have to leave somebody one on one. And when my guy is better than your dude, I'm going to spy that advantage and take it every single time. I set material. That's not like a psychological. I'm not saying, well, these guys are up for it. No, no, no, no, no. I don't care who's up for it. You up or down, if you can't defend the guy and he has an advantage, Alabama's gonna find a way to lean on it. And Georgia knows that, you know, one of my favorite stories I've ever heard is there was a division one coach. I think it was Tim levit who watched Mario Williams on tape walked into a room and he looked at his offensive staff used F, and he says, what are you guys going to do with that big joker? Good luck with that. Let's just watch the room. And that's very instructive for me because sometimes there are players for whom you don't have an answer. I think fans think a lot of the time, oh, if we just countered this or if we just had this defense or if I just move this guy there, puff, tough, come up with whatever schemes you want to. Kirby smart doesn't have an answer that will prevent Bryce young from getting his and that receiving core from getting open down the field. I've seen it happen. He's just not going to because no one else has. Spencer, can you stick around and I can ask you about JT Daniels and Billy Napier and Brian Kelly. Can you do that for me? Oh, certainly. Absolutely. Spencer hall joining us here. We'll talk up more SEC football with the great Spencer hall..

"The Paul find bomb show on ESPN radio. My name is not Paul finebaum. It is Brayton goal. You can get to me on the twitters at brayden gall filling in for Paul this week. Merry Christmas, happy holidays. The Festivus for the rest of us. Thank you guys for hanging out with us 855-242-7285. We will get to your calls coming up. But a man that I had to have on with me this week, somebody I admire. I look up to, I read frequently. I listen to talk about college football all over the place. Spencer hall every day should be Saturday on the Twitter sphere and everywhere else in the world you can find him shut down forecast all that great stuff. Spencer, welcome to the fine bomb show, how are you, sir? I'm good, Brad, and thanks for having me on and happy holidays. And to you as well. Let me, I want to go philosophical with you right out of the gate because that's what I love hearing you talk about. And that is all of these things that are happening that old folk are concerned about with college football. All these market forces, name image and likeness and the transfer portal, oh my God, and all these things, conference expansion and playoffs and realignment and everything. Do you actually believe that there will be a spreading out of the wealth and more parity in equity in the sport of college football in the coming years because of all these things happening to our sport? If it did, it doesn't be temporary. Because inevitably, I think what will happen? And this happens with most markets that there are if anytime there's an expansion of wealth or people with share, there's inevitably people who will either squander it or those who will sort of find a way to centralize it. So I think if there were programs that went off market and ended up becoming very successful, I don't know, they like BYU get the row booster here just decides to pay everybody. Just flat out pays everybody, right? And he pays more than market share. Well over time, somebody's going to find a way to cut into that in an organized fashion. I don't mean one team. I mean, a league doing that. So I think what the ambition was some in charge of the sport are, is to trim this down into a Super League and whatever it gets in the way of that will be eliminated one way or the other. Spencer hall joining us here on the fine bomb show. Do you feel that that endgame that Super League you're talking about? Are we talking about 20 teams? Are we talking about 65 teams? What does that look like and how can I still enjoy college football at that point? Well, you'll enjoy it because you'll kind of be wedded to it. And because a lot of the teams that you watch anyway, will probably be included in whatever the Super League is, whether it's 32 teams or not. I will tell you that among major decision makers, the Premier League is a very attractive model. You're not familiar with the Premier League. The English primarily specifically, the way they do soccer. And the Champions League itself are in England. And the Champions League is another model where we kind of already run a Champions League if you think about it. It's just very small. They expanded playoff would just be, okay, who qualifies for this extended tournament play out of different leagues? And honestly, I don't think that's a terrible model for the sport. Especially given how successful and popular soccer is and how people still manage to follow their team. When you say, well, how does a little guys get a shot? I hate to tell anyone. But if you're there to see, I don't know, let's say the potato bowl right now can stay in Wyoming or playing. If you're here to see Ken state in Wyoming, win a national title, you're going to keep waiting. You're going to die waiting. But that's not happening. But you can enjoy them and understand that your fandom might not include some of the bonus packages that say being an Alabama or an Ohio State fan would. Spencer hall joining us here. I agree with you, and I think and I think you're sort of a big believer in celebrating the finer points of college football that don't involve the playoff. I think most people that are Alabama fans or Georgia fans, Ohio State fans, that there's this cross section of fans of college football that are in it to win national titles. And I get that. But it's also about a group of people, a kid ex stadium turning around to wave at sick children. That's also what college football is about. And I think trying to find the balance between those two things, maybe that's a Kentucky team that gets into the playoff as a 12 seed. Sure, they're not going to win the national championship, but we celebrate that Kentucky team for the next 50 years, right? Yeah, this is, by the way, a lot like being a Leicester City fan. Like, okay, they want a title once. That's it. That might be your whole career, the electricity fan. That's what you do. It's like being the fan of a small market team in the MBA. If you make it out of the first round of the playoffs, hey, that's your whole year. I think it's much less me saying, wow, what a great system. What a fantastic sport. I think it is a great sport. I think it's a terrible system. It's also as terrible as a lot of the way we've organized the sport before. The little dude was never had a chance for this sport, especially within the last day, 60 to 75 years. But they've managed to cope and find ways to enjoy the game. You know, enjoy the occasional conference title you get. That's just a matter of what kind of fan you want to be. I can only explain the way that the powers that be are probably going to build this system. Spencer hall joining us here every day should be Saturday on the Paul 5 mom show brayden gall in here, which brings us, of course, the Cincinnati. And I think that they have some unique pieces that will challenge Alabama, but in the grand scheme of things, when you talk about the little guy not having a chance, aren't you talking about Alabama Cincinnati? Pretty much. I think Cincinnati is the best possible model of that team. And maybe in 9 out of ten matchups, Alabama wins the Cincinnati polls one. You're really hoping to see that 10%. You're hoping to see a very good symptomatic team that honestly, if you talk about playing as a team and playing within a system, they're a better team than Alabama. Well, who plays as a team better? It's demonstrably Cincinnati. However, the outstanding talent at certain positions across the board, there isn't a position at Cincinnati where you would say, I would take that guy over X on Alabama. If you did, you lying. You take the Alabama dude. Every single time. Am I going to take the whole? I mean, maybe if you said who's playing better as a team, but frankly, if it comes down to a one possession game, do you have any confidence that anybody on that team could stir Bryce young in the pocket with those lineman blocking for him? And prevent the ball from getting to jamison Williams for a small down the field. I don't. That's an ATM. Go ahead, hit it up, hit it up all day. Jason Williams will be open. Yeah, no, unfortunately, I tend to agree with you. I do think Cincinnati if they were matched up with a Georgia or a Michigan, would give them an interesting test. I think Bama with the Williams young combination is uniquely qualified to beat Cincinnati and also beat Georgia. Ten days, whatever two weeks, three weeks removed from that SEC championship game. I don't need time as a flat circle Spencer. Now that you've had some time to digest that and do an autopsy on George's performance, do you have any insight as to what took place in that game? Yeah, one quarterback is better than the other. That is not an insult to set to benefit. That's just fact. The position where the guy types of the ball every single down for Alabama is better than the guy who touches the ball every single possession for Alabama. That is no insult. This has been Ben. Who I think has been really, really good for them. Throughout the year. He's not. Fresh onto that defense what no one else has. No one, don't get close to doing that. No one can close to doing half that. Again that defense. So I can't that's not me saying that's not me insulting death and but in belief, but if it comes down to those two teams playing each other and I have to go point for point and say, well, where is there a weakness? Where is there a serious advantage? That's it. And that's the worst place to have it for Georgia, right? That's the worst place for Alabama to have it because that's the person who can do the most damage to them. Spencer hall joining us. Do you believe we saw Kirby smart in Georgia.

"All the stages and points of her life and say this happened, then this happened and this happened. Camilla Parker Bowles is very much a figure in this story because she's very Diane is very aware of her and very aware of this relationship that Charles has with her, but they didn't really explain. I don't think they even say her name. They don't really say who she is. They kind of assume that you know that. They kind of assume that you know where Diana is in her life at this point where she's already been beloved and is kind of facing this ultimate tragic end. Like I was glad that there wasn't like a closing caption that was like, of course, she died, not that long after. You know, I felt like that was a good thing. I do want to talk a little bit more about Kristen Stewart. To me, you know, one of the things that was difficult for me about Jackie was I think Natalie Portman's impression of Jackie Kennedy was very accurate and I absolutely give her full points for what I think was an effort to just down to the breath trying to capture the way Jackie Kennedy spoke. And yet, to me, it was incredibly distracting. Yes. And it was the only thing I could pay attention to in that movie. I do think Stuart makes a good decision here. There's one moment early on when she goes into this little cafe, looking for directions. And everybody looks at her and she does that little eyes down, smile, that Diana often did. And in that moment she looks so much like Diana to me, then it kind of welded them together. I mean, obviously she's speaking in an accent. I think the accents roughly correct, although yes, she's an American doing a British accent. You don't have to at me. It's not perfectly correct. But after that, I don't think they're trying to do as spot on either of an impression of Diana or of a recreation of reality the way that Jackie recreates so carefully those like black and white videos of the Christmas tour and all that stuff that is in Jackie. Where do you guys come down on Jackie and Diana in that kind of comparison? I like Jackie, but not as much as other people did. I think I also found Natalie Portman's acting in it a little distracting. I think part of that is because I don't think Jackie Kennedy really spoke like any other person in human existence. And so, you know, I think Kristen Stewart's performance is much more down to earth. Even if this movie is not quite realistic, I think it is a more holy embodied person..

"And I think those kinds of things to me are very effective, and it didn't bother me that it's not, it's definitely not realistic at all. And I think, you know, I would go farther than to say, I think it's clearly almost completely not true with the exception of the broadest strokes of how this marriage played out. I think some royal watchers have sort of said, there is no such Christmas when all these things would be happening when all of this would make sense, particularly not even her hair wasn't even like that at the time that this would have been happening. She would have already cut her air. So I think it's not real, but I liked that it wasn't real. Yeah, I think that makes it holy fabricated in an interesting way that it's completely an invention of the screenwriter. It's funny that you bring up a couple of symbols and then I have a different list of totally different symbols that it's just like an inexhaustive list. But you know, one of the first things you see in this movie is a sign that says keep noise to a minimum they can hear you. And the opening shots of this movie look like a military invasion where the British royal guard or whatever is bringing in food for this Christmas. And you sort of get the sense that this is like an inhospitable environment for anyone to live in, especially someone who is not a part of the family by blood and was not raised in it. That's sort of heavy handedness. I thought, was befitting the tone of the movie. And yes, I really think that she does come across as a horror heroin. It's a good, it's a good take on it. But can I say horror comedy maybe? Because I was actually laughing out loud at certain moments here, partly because it's so heavy handed, but, you know, partly because, you know, Diana is so unhinged and the way she is depicted as unhinged is sometimes just so over the top. Who can forget that moment in the movie? She's at the dinner table. She's eating her own pearls after ripping them off her neck. The music is getting louder and wilder and louder and wilder, while she's looking around and the camera's moving in and out. And then the camera pulls back and we actually see the music is live next to the 50 foot dinner table. There's a string Quartet. I was so funny. There were moments like that where I was just like, I can't tell is that supposed to be a horror comedy. I agree with you when you sort of think you're getting horror movie music and that it turns out that it's live. You can laugh at that. That's almost like it could be airplane or something like that. I totally had the same reaction, but it worked for me because it's all the same movie. Maybe with the exception of one very late scene between her and Sally Hawkins, it didn't strike me that it really had any moments that were meant to be straightforward closely observed drama. It felt to me like it was all supposed to be big. That Timothy spall character to me is not only is he like a horror movie figure who seems like he could be about to throw you in the dungeon, but he also to me comes.

"Joining me is Kristen mines are she is the co host of the podcast movie therapy with rafer and Kristen. She's also a royal watcher and co host of the podcast when Meghan met Harry. What a set of credentials. Welcome back, Kristen. Thanks so much for having me back Linda. And also with us, this is always so exciting, making his pop culture happy hour debut. Is Danny hensel, Danny is a producer at NPR's weekend edition. Welcome. Thank you. Thank you so much for having me. This is very, very exciting. So Spencer is one of those films. It entered a lot of people's field the vision I would say because of casting news that Kristen Stewart was going to play Diana. But just as significant is the fact that the director here is Pablo Lorraine, who, among other things directed Jackie a few years ago, so he knows his way around a famous actress tackling a tragic woman from history. The screenplay here is by Stephen knight, and the basic story is an imagined one with the on screen type calls a fable about Diana's spending Christmas with the royal family while she and Charles were separated, but before they were divorced. So she's in this very big house on the royal estate. She's out of favor with everybody. She's really only there for her kids who are somewhere around 8 and ten at this point. I would say, the cast includes Timothy spall as a very, very scary guy who works for the queen and Sally Hawkins as one of the royal dressers who's just about the only person Diana trusts Danny, I want to ask you, how did you react to this somewhat unusual movie? I really liked it. I've been a bit out on Paolo Lorraine's last couple of movies. You know, I like them, but sort of at a distance. And I think this is the first one that I've really liked. I think it kind of struck the right balance of having a distinct style, having something to say that I found interesting and also being pretty accessible. I liked that framing of it being a fable, not everything you're seeing is quite realistic, but it's going to tell you a story. It'll be a little bit didactic, but as long as you're sort of up for that, maybe blunt use of storytelling technique, then I think you're on board for the ride. And I think Kristen Stewart is really, really good. Always sort of admired her as an actress, but I've never quite see her do something this transformative in a way that did not really feel like an impression, but really felt like she was totally embodying a different person. Yeah. All right, Kristen, you have spent a lot of time as a royal watcher. You pay a lot of attention to this family. How did this strike you? Well, I just want a second two things that Danny said there. Yes, Kristen Stewart is fantastic in this movie. And even before the movie came out, you know, those stills that were initially released, I thought, yes, she is the right person to play this role in this movie..

So i would always eat offered these parts and i would politely turn down because i was a professional. I couldn't mix it up. I mean what you more. Well exactly what do you call that. Yes sexy indifference sexy indifference. Yeah so i'll bet you having seen everyone come through the door it It made you feel a little bit more confident Each time you were on the other side right because you know the the the imagination goes to a place where like everybody is better than me. in in general in life but then when you see people come through like oh i can compete with that you know. I wish more actors could be on the other side and see that. You're plenty talented honey. I have to tell you that. I would recommend it but now with everything being the way that it is. People are putting themselves on tape and won't ever get that experience but totally demystified. What happened in the room for me. So i i would say to anybody that can help cast a student film just to see what different actors do. Because here's the interesting thing when it's written out in the breakdown in the script enough description all of that people come in and a lot of people make the exact same choice. Because it's it's worded that such and such does this. We're looking for a thirty to forty year old. Who has this well heights and weight or whatever and this look and it has to act this way to fulfil that instead of just bringing themselves. They're unique quality of choice. Make a choice. And i i find myself sometimes. I thinking when. I'm reading something now to make sure to make choices that it may be maybe wrong choice but just to have something completely unique that no one else will do you own that you're able to to to execute. Yeah now. when is the last time you auditioned Oh man it's it's been. I feel like every day dishes honestly but it's been it's been ten years. I'm going to start making choices. Like imagine a scene where you've got to deliver some bad news. But i'm just like well. We just got the report back. It looks like i'm not gonna who different. There's a song from les mis hold on. That's called empty chairs empty tables where my friends are dead and gone and you just think with a huge smile on my face. So wait octavia. You said casting made want to start acting. You had no interest before that and you just got that as a job or what was it like as a kid. Well i always wanted to be a producer honestly and i love acting but you know. I'm from a very practical household. And my mom would have been supportive actor but You know she really liked. Wanted me to be a doctor or a lawyer. And i'm a germaphobe so i knew doctoring was not in my future because everything anybody came into the room with. I would probably didn't get it your home. I got catching salesman sean. Just describing describe it. And i get it. You know you're talking to a couple of world class djerma folks. Here with me so octavia. What's tell me your. Let's let's let's let's open up. This germaphobe thing. What is because Because i've got an answer for me. We'll go around the horn. What is what grosses you out. What will you not do because there's too much germ potential most start with mine. Uh so you know what i'm talking about. I will never walk barefoot on a hotel floor. Look good ever ever. I will never go to very famous. Theme parks Do you want even entered the grounds. I don't think i need to go. Got it That's aggressive octavia. I will never sit at a on a plane without wiping. And i've been doing this year's wipe it everything down so definitely the headrest right. Yeah ooh head resident anything that my hand has to touch has to be wiped down the seat crack button. You gotta really get that one touch point touch point. I will never. I will never have gazpacho soup in october after october. Now barry won't do it even now. No even if i'm even if i am in the south of france do it even be know what you gotta do. Is you got to do because it's cold. So all the bacteria can lip hano. This is more. No it's just more out of a sense of decency. Yeah now so. I wipe down the plane i wipe down the planes the seats to as well. That's that's kind of a newer thing to me. I remember like january twenty twenty. I flew to london right before the lockdown. And i went back and i looked at my Search retirement search history before. I looked at my Amazon order history ordered masks in january. Twenty twenty. I was so nervous about everything coming to re seeing on the news and had to fight london and i wiped my area down and wore a mask and everybody looked at me like i was like look at this nut job..

"He's also one of the most thoughtful interesting players in the league. He is spencer dinwiddie. Currently of the brooklyn nets. I say currently because as we know spencer is a free agent this summer. And he's gonna be in high demand and to his point. I think he is the best free agent. Point guard available because the best threes. Your point guard will be chris. Paul who i think is going to stay in phoenix. Thus unavailable spencer was really candid about what he's looking for in free agency and about.

They don't want somebody 'cause I if you don't have that confidence you kind of like the boxer that's on his heels Dakhla you're like You came to maybe throwing a jab or a pickup line here there it just that you have to have that confidence and like you said that quick. Yep It's almost wittiness like absolutely and you make them laugh. It's funny because it's it's like I when I tell people. Hey know. I know it's hard going up to somebody and saying something for guys. It's actually the pain centers in the brain kick in when they're Rejected by women. It's actual physical pain registers. The same way. Sure so it's like. Wow you've got to get over that. "Like this next place going six. They they knew it same thing with Lsu. This is the kind of thing you can do. When you're playing at full capacity of talent and execution when they came out and then scored and Clemson by the way doesn't just come back like you know they they go they go down they come up at seventeen seven at one point and that seventeen seven seven? LSU special teams out there like fanning the ball and dancing because they know that offense is coming they know by the way defensively LSU made clemson punt nine. That's been Nana's trevor. Do Travel Ours is like I've never had to do anything this hard before my life on a football no like I imagine. He played Varsity as as a freshman in high school and he still never had to do anything as difficult as that. No in by the way they got off your chance like in astonishing running back brilliant talent. It's just a player. Who in five ers can go from sitting still to twenty miles an hour? Nuts the acceleration on the transit model is just other-worldly worldly and they had four dudes on him. The whole time my favorite sequence in the whole game. I believe it's an end of the first quarter. He dodges three tacklers three and then turns and there's a defensive tackle who falls on him. It's just not fair right like you did everything you're supposed to do. I made three elite defenders defenders. Miss me and the fourth is a three hundred pound man fell on me. We'll be back with more Spencer Hall but I is a New Year. Perfect perfect opportunity to take your business to the next level by hiring the right people but.
