That would solve the problems. They saw in current dictionaries. The process of whoever was incredibly slow. It took until eighteen fifty seven to establish a committee to create a list of unregistered words. These are words that weren't in current dictionaries or were poorly defined. If this had been the extent of what the illogical society had done. I wouldn't be doing an episode about this. The man who headed up. The committee was richard chenevix-trench. Trench was an interested in just coming up with a list of unregistered words. His ambition was much greater the report he produced with something else entirely. His report was titled on some deficiencies in our english dictionaries. It detailed all of the problems with current english language dictionaries in the nineteenth century. He noted problems. With the lack of coverage of obsolete words histories of words synonyms of words in poor examples and illustrations of words. What trench propose wasn't just a dictionary like the society had considered in the past. Trench was proposing writing the dictionary the most comprehensive dictionary of the english language. It wouldn't just be a list of words but of all of the words no longer in use and the history of all the words and where they came from. This would be a massive massive undertaking in eighteen fifty-eight the illogical society formerly called for the creation of a new dictionary which they called a new english dictionary on historical principles. First order of business was hiring someone to be the editor. Trench wasn't able to take on the assignment. As he was appointed the dean of westminster abbey. The job fell to herbert coleridge. Coleridge was only twenty nine. When he was appointed in eighteen sixty he created the outline in strategy for the entire project. He began the system to categorize the hundreds of thousands of quotes which would be required.

Quick Tip: Remember to Reset Your ISO Sensitivity After Every Shoot
"Remember to reset the iso two auto after jacking. It up to six thousand four hundred the night before right. This is so common in this happened to one of our participants in the recent workshop and he actually had to go back out and shoot the assignment again because he had been doing some stuff the night before had the iso set way high goes out. The next day does a day shoot and doesn't notice that the iso was at six thousand four hundred you know and the funny thing is that when you have the white balance set incorrectly say that you correct it for tungsten The night before you're working inside with incandescent lying well when you go out the next day and you look through the viewfinder you see that the white balance is off if you have an electronic viewfinder right you see you go. Wow whoo and there are a lot of other things where we get visual cues that we have screwed up but the iso thing will get you because you don't get a visual cue. You don't suddenly when you're shooting this beautiful landscape in front of you see all sorts of grain. Show up in the shot in the electronic viewfinder. No you don't get to see that until you open it up in light room in you go even fifty percent and you go. Whoa what happened there. And why are the colors not saturated and you go. Oh man sixty four hundred right sixty four so remember whenever you wonder away from auto iso especially going up the scale. The minute you're done with that shoot return into auto. Iso returned to auto iso and there will be a day. Where you thanked me for

How a Movement of Cannabis-Fueled Athletes Is Changing the Science of Sports
"Certainly experimented with a lot more more different approaches than just ten to twenty milligram dose of of cbd in writing this book. And i i really thought jus- i like one of the most entertaining. Parts of the book in the early sections was something i was totally unaware of. And that's something called the four twenty games. I didn't know there was such a thing. But i was kind of chuckling reading that section of the book and i'm curious what were the four twenty games those kind of have to do with your initial inspiration for writing this thing. Yeah by that time. I had been using cannabis for a long time personally and had been using it As a runner for maybe about a year at that point and as journalists there been so much to cover in terms of events or news and so for the poor twenty games when it was touring around america in came through boulder was really just another assignment That i had you know. I was curious about other people doing the same thing that high abeille believed i discovered and a lot of people had that story like they thought they were the only ones who like to get high and workout but in terms of a games as competition for twenty games isn't really like it. It's not comparable to the olympics or or any sort of organized sport. It's it's it's more just a An exhibition of of kind There was a four point. Two mile fund. Run run the boulder reservoir when i went there My understanding is that they have bigger events out in la that are a little more competitive But it was there that i met a recall into a wound up being one of the central characters of my book. He's a A very accomplished ultra marathon runner here in colorado and he was kind of one of the celebrity athletes at the port. Twenty games had come out and do the fun run and talk to people and then after the run there were a lot of tables with all of these different products. Couldn't sell any thc products. But there were a lot of non psychoactive products. They're in really. It was my first entry point to this side of the industry Because the cannabis industry have been around for a few years by that point in their been loads of different types of events but a lot of them were kind of more of the high times stone or culture type events not like exercising athletes. You mean right. Even though that's culture existed at and i don't think it was quite as cohesive because of that fact that a lot of people didn't know that the others who are doing the same thing that they were But when i was out there. I met a lot of people who are like. Yeah i like to smoke a joint and then go lift weights. Or i like to take an edible and then go run a trail so that was one of the early moments where i was like may be more than just a quirky thing that i do or that a handful of people do it may be something. That's actually quite popular and profoundly under

Bongino on the Reality of Our Flag and Thanking God
"So when I joined the Secret service, one of my first assignments my an agent, friend of mine mint. This is called Mike. He got sick. I've been out of training for. I don't even know a month. Not much. I mean, I was about as green as you could possibly get And I'm in the Melville Office of the Secret Service in Long Island. And boss comes in. And he says, Listen, you were an alternate on it on a trip. I'm like a trip. You know where trip to the city. I was along God, He's like no foreign trip to Russia and this guy Mike got sick. So you know you're going, Mikey B. We'll call him, he says you're up. You want to go and I was like Russia. I'm telling you, like New Jersey is, the father said, I think I've ever been outside of training. The first time you travel overseas to a country that's not necessarily a friendly and I think we flew a C five a over there, and there's these massive cargo doors and lower. I'm telling you, I want to be dramatic, but it was like something out of a movie. The cargo doors are dropping or because we fly with all the president's cars and everything you know it's a free ride. Just jump on the plane. It's going down at lands and, you know, the guy comes on board the lead advance agent He's like, you know, Welcome to Russia was seriously was out of salt Look like something out of the movies or I'm a young kid, you know, in my twenties. You know, being overseas where the rules don't matter like they do here. There's no real rule of law in Russia. Whatever works for Vladimir Putin works me. Wasn't Putin back then? But you get the point. When you fly back to the United States, you land and J B a joint base. Andrews used to be Andrews Air Force Base. And you see that flag man? Stars and Stripes. Uh, there ain't nothing like it. Goose bumps, It was the first time and you know every foreign trip I took after that we got back safe and there were no problems and you see those flags Erin Andrews. We thank God.
How To Start A Meditation Practice And Create Healthy Habits
"Of us have at least a few items on our list of things we quote unquote should be doing whether you want to start meditating or incorporate any other new habit there's amazing science that can help guide us to the results that we want. So what do we know about setting ourselves up for success. When it comes to creating healthy habits. Dr hyman spoke to journalists and the host of the ten percent happier podcast. Dan harris about his own johnny into meditation. And how just one minute. A day may be enough to get. You started with a regular practice. I had been assigned to cover faith spirituality for abc news. And i didn't want that assignment nine percent this stuff at all. It actually turned out to be great for me. And i met a lot of interesting people and that ultimately led me to reading a book by eckhart totally. He was the first person i ever heard. Describe the fact that we have a voice in our heads this inner narrator. That's diam wearing all the time at us. Mostly thinking about the pastor the future crazy and your head. Yeah or the buddha calls at the monkey mind but i had never heard that theory before. That was a major a moment for me. Because i realized okay. This is just intuitively true. A and b this theory about the human situation that we have this nonstop voice in our heads really explains why how. I had a panic attack. Because the voice in my head my ego my inner narrator Is what sent me off to war zones without thinking about the psychological conferences. And i came home and i got to press. Didn't even really know it. And that did this dumb thing self medicating so that was. That was really interesting to me. And then i started looking at the science. And then i started thinking okay. Maybe i'll try this. And as soon as i tried it. I realize this is not you know like hacky sack or you know. Lighting incense is not some hippy. Pastime this is a this is exercise for your brain. It's it's happens without effort in other words. You just have to do. The practices like exercise. You do the exercising our body shape whether you like it or not and yes it happens in that way and in a you can read about all you want but unless you begin to know your mind which is what meditation helps you do. It's like slowdown what's going on. It's not like blank slate. You closure is in your in bliss and that's not how goes right. It's a very. It's a very interesting way to sort of reset your relationship to yourself to your world experience to the meaning you give things and everything sort of shifts whether you want to make it shift not as is the act of doing
Model S Delivery Event Expectations
"Power here and today we are one day out from tesla's plaid model delivery event in the absence of a lot of other news. I thought today we could do what we did. Back during battery day where we kind of did a series of twitter polls to set consensus expectations ahead of the event. So we're going to go through that. We just have a couple other items of news here. I So we'll go through those pretty quickly. I up with the stock tesla today. Finishing down on pretty low volume Eight tenths of a percent to five hundred and ninety eight dollars eight cents that compared to the nasdaq up half a percent but pretty quiet day as again i think people were kind of waiting for The event tomorrow aside from that religious a couple pieces of news here so the first one here the born company. Just kind of a congratulations to them. They opened up To the public at the world of concrete event there at the las vegas convention center so an exciting milestone for them. These vehicles are still being driven by people Hopefully later this year that shifts over to being autonomous at higher speeds but definitely good milestone for the boring company there in vegas. I think he had to buy a ticket to the world. Concrete event us. I guess not technically quite public yet but is being experienced by members of the public. And obviously it's a great opportunity for tesla to show off their vehicle vehicles. Get a lot of people test drives and things like that. So it's going to be exciting to you if all that and see where that goes from there the other thing that we've got here just ahead of the event We do now have customers that are starting to receive their vehicle vehicle identification numbers or vins for the model s. so this was shared on the tecimer's club forums by one of the members there on they have there been assignment and their purchase agreement so unexciting milestone again ahead of the event tomorrow
Kamala Harris, in Guatemala, Discusses Plan to Deter Migrants
"Is in Guatemala today. If the start of her trip is any sign yesterday, Air Force to had to turn back after take off for a safety check. The assignment is going to be a challenge. Mrs Harris first foreign trip Mission, President Joe Biden gave her find ways to reduce migration to the US by improving conditions in Central America. One of the big challenges in the region is how ineffective governments there have been at solving the simple, grinding problems of daily life in their countries. Speaking from Guatemala City today, Harris said she and Guatemalan President Alejandro Geometry talked about a key issue Corruption on the issue of corruption. Uh, the conversation that I had with President Janet Today was very Frank. And very candid, and I think this is a quality that he and I appreciate in each other. Following all of this is Adrianna Beltran with the watchdog group, The Washington office on Latin America. She said Harris is right to focus on corruption. And unfortunately, over the last several years, what you've seen across the region, including Guatemala has been a backlash against anti corruption, anti impunity efforts and increasingly actions by corrupt elites to undermine democracy and the rule of law. So as long as we're on the subject, explain in simple terms how corruption actually reduces the impact of USA to Central America. When we talk about corruption in Guatemala in Central America, we're not talking about a few bad apples, a few corrupt government officials that accept bribes But what we're talking about is systems that have been put in place where corrupt elites and in the case of Guatemala, increasingly tied to criminal groups have taken hold the government institutions And have used their positions of power to enrich themselves by embezzling millions of public funds at the expense of the majority of the population. You know,

"special assignment" Discussed on News 96.5 WDBO
"Robin shelf marked on special assignment with wife baby fairies star Robbins okay looked up a fox news see another headline about Mitch McConnell's considering the kill switch kill switch with the impeachment trial that they could just move to acquit and how does that work part of the ball for one one three were have loads the bold move to do that we can just end it okay what does it mean on vinyl for that you try to figure out okay and it there was trying to explain this scene okay Mitch is reportedly close to finalizing a rule that would allow trumps team to move to dismiss the articles of impeachment quickly after some evidence has been presented they say a sort of a safety valve in case Democrats try to drag the trial for weeks okay and as we understand it I to figure out okay how does this whole thing go down there's four phases to the trial there's the opening arguments H. cash is that going to be painful on and on and on then senators questions then witnesses then the closing arguments so the question is during which phase might there conceivably be fifty one votes to dismiss the articles of impeachment may is that one do you have to go through do you get to the witnesses how does that work because there are different people's even within the GOP that have different goals there are some other GOP senators are like yes this is nonsense you saw was nonsense in the house we're going to kill it on arrival and that will be good for them politically as well in their home state but for someone like Susan Collins they it's kinda iffy she's won this to play out to say we were fair about this we heard everybody we really considered the articles of impeachment before we voted on it so that's the question of how many gonna go to him yeah are you getting more interested or less as it goes on trial I would be all for this I mean I would man you know the kill switch also known as old Yeller put out the fashion out back and voted down yeah I mean she's that's the thing there's yeah part of it I'm sure it will be entertaining but there's the other part that I get so tired of hearing the same people on and on and on and another clip of Jerry Nadler gap enough already well then he will yesterday's yapping yesterday about it and then I'll Nadler again slam Russian collusion yes I mean like it's true exactly it is never ends with this guy as I mentioned the unluckiest hunter in America yes is a crazy story man out of Mississippi fidelity's hunter in America's hunter Biden this would be the second subject in America boy that's a different conversation Biden lucky or unlucky this guy here is returning from a hunt this last week name's Tyler hearty turning his dog back to his truck with his own body after in countering flooded ditch he found a place okay I can jump across right here on that before I am sure it's one side to the other says as he jumped across he suddenly felt severe pain on the left side of his head like is so massive impact like go home Jeez like he ran into something yeah said it was just a massive impact struck me so hard what was it was a snake it struck a bit more dang it like jumped out of the water was on a tree branch gosh dang and struck from the branch what are the odds I know he said I thought somebody had shot me or hit with an axe it's not the fire out of me wow I just could not believe the force the snake head when it hit me man I never knew that about so that I didn't know that either but I suppose the force of him you know you're jumping forward right as the snake is striking they a nearby emergency room they were able to prep all the necessary anti venom now so after they gave him that they had the airlift him to the university of Mississippi Medical Center Jackson I had no time to waste and so they talk to this is the Clarion ledger in Mississippi talk to a herpetologist herpetologist using on Terry van Devanter he said it's not uncommon for coverage to climb trees like in the warmer months but finding one in a tree during January is almost unheard of he said I don't doubt it went down the way it did but in doing so it made him the unluckiest guy in America home man said maybe the treat or maybe the snake climbed a tree because of the flash flooding that had been in the area but we're gonna be okay then yeah yes he's gonna be alright wow I've never heard of one striking someone in the head before but if you Google you'll find it the coverage striking someone from injuries man but it's dark and you're jumping across of that and yeah I'm done my minute version for snakes I'm not a fan at all they might scare you we go to the right store unity got people to buy sell a listener say I don't want to pay for a snake yeah would you ever have the guts to pick one "Robert show they were being kept on special assignment that hospital yeah white babies yes with wife and baby Scott robin's here it wonder shot how much lawn order is going to come into play when it comes to the presidential election is we're seeing the stores across the country more and more and especially different liberal cities are pretty lax when it comes to crime when it comes to homeless we have that peace will was Tucker Carlson that their last week talking about San Francisco and you steal anything well it's a citation still anything under nine hundred dollars citation people don't show of course not so you get another citation then they don't show up again but there's no law and order for so many different things and I couldn't believe the store when I saw it so you know six click bait click on it and KTLA had the story of this homeless guy trying to abduct his six year old girl from her mom I'll just take it from the news reporter family says that the man appeared to be on some pretty heavy drugs giving him super human strength they say they credit the little girl's uncle and his army background with saving her watch is is homeless man allegedly tries to repeatedly kidnap a little girl right into her mother's arms in Venice beach on Saturday night six year old new Vegas says she was terrified also scary following my eyes out because I was so scared and getting it taken away from my mommy and Daddy Hey man you know because this dude walks up to were I mean it's hard to paint a picture he looks like he could be a slayer tribute band and it's coming up to the kid and screaming this nonsense she's not safe I need to take her well I get back and so it was the brother in law did first kind of shoved him back to say this Cyprus families beach outing turned into a frightening evening out the V. as bawling her eyes out that she is on any ready to take career for me prior to the scene at this Washington Boulevard restaurant they say the man tried to **** the via on the beach well she was with her dad and uncle Hey you watch right up to these people have been arrested several times this guy has quite a record but they just keep letting him back out which is so infuriating and so then you get near the end of the story and you I think you saw the video yes I did with that her uncle grabbed him by the hair and took him to the ground and the two brothers held him down until police arrived and arrested him for attempted kidnapping was just so strong whatever use on it was just too much that's terrifying I mean you have to act of course my gosh this happens all the time and to me if you are one for law and order and you're running a campaign that's something you can definitely run on well because most people even those as we know on the left there are plenty but still want lawn order the select few are the quote progressive you get what I'm saying is a huge difference there and so the piece ends horrible we didn't even notice how many homeless people tell after everything happened there's a lot of homeless Venice beach yeah Jennifer just there yeah a couple of times last year do you want to go because it's beautiful but at same time what a mess and the family tells us that it actually took six the police officers to finally cuff this suspect he has to say the family does not intend to go to the beach this weekend instead they're gonna head on up to the mountains really no wonder why wonder why so many people are leaving the state well those other story today the Illinois released over one thousand illegal aliens under the sanctuary laws in cook county almost eleven hundred add that these people have by the way committed crimes as they've been here they came here legally then committed a crime got arrested now they're free those same things going on in New York went to Bosnia just insane so if your trunk don't you say look at all the city's absolutely with the liberal policies you could say people have great intentions but this is the result yes you can't have a society this way right you have to ask yourself under what planet do you live on where this is a good idea no idea man manages over the jails let everybody out what the hell meanwhile speaking California do we heard a lot about Oscar controversy yesterday there were no female directors that were admitted at you know I don't want to get into all of that you know I brought it up yesterday and that Werther female directors that could have been nominated I guess the woman who directed little women what happened has been considered okay outside of that the list was pretty sparse and it is the belief really because she was a woman that's why I said no no thanks to her but the real listen to I guess on okay well we know one person who got snubbed was Adam Sandler and I haven't seen on cut gems as some people love that movie some people like it you're completely tense the entire time you watch the movie but everybody said Adam Sandler's grade these you know is acting is so much better than it usually is with his light stuff but he was not nominated but I love the way he handled it very much took it in stride using the water boy reference because you know who did get nominated yesterday was Kathy Bates it was his mom in the water boy yes she got the supporting actress nomination for Richard Jewell so Sandler tweeted bad news said man gets no love from the academy good news St man can stop wearing suits congrats to all my friends who got nominated especially mama which means is my I had a water boy reference earlier in the show with Bobby Boucher Kathy tweeted back I love you my Bobby Boucher you was robbed but mama loves you I learned a new urban slang word for you you did go to not the one we eat at home son that's fantastic little girls all the devil right.

"On special assignment or is this week he's fine he'll be back next Monday. and you know whenever you like break a bone something like that sort of bad happens you don't have to look too far to keep things in perspective yeah. with everything going on over the weekend of course with the hurricanes and then that California dive boat fire. dozens dead just off trapped all my gosh man. you think in Labor Day weekend. it was diving been looking for that for a long time and then. at first they were saying there was only one exit. and then too but they were both blocked his brutal absolutely gut wrenching also mentioned we were going to get to some political stuff Joe Biden. no told a story an old war stories told it several times with the details change for him and it's to the point now where what is this story but he's saying the details are relevant that's what he's saying so so just to backtrack because he's trying to defend himself after this latest issue is told the story over the years about a soldier who tried but failed to rescue is another soldier and how that man did not want a medal because he failed he's trying to talk about stories of courage and heroism which certainly I'm not gonna fall time for doing that which is that you can find real stories that you don't have to embellish if you're trying to make the point that that Joe Biden was trying to make and Washington post said look a lot of these details get changed over the years and they did a little mash up to demonstrate how the story keeps changing a two star general traveling with us perform an impromptu awards.

"Roberts on special assignment he'll be back tomorrow okay a lot to get to I did not know that is actually racist to ask people whether or not their citizens the United States but apparently hit is well of course it is right we got this big fight going on with the senses the trump administration wants to ask people whether or not their citizens it apparently they're not allowed to do that I didn't realize this at the left claims that people here illegally won't respond to the senses if the question is on there and if they're not counted in that has referred questions not only on federal funding but on the distribution of seats for the house of representatives so essentially the left is admitting they need to count people who are here illegally so they can keep power yes because remember asking the citizenship question isn't actually just targeting you know it people here illegally and if you're here legally you have nothing to hide right is it what's wrong with that there's nothing wrong with saying no I'm not but I am a legal resident all a part of the plan to decriminalize but what you write and why would but why would somebody who was here legally maybe not a citizen but here legally have a problem with saying no I'm not a citizen if you're following the rules you you're not going to be deported yes but they need people that are following the rules so that's what I mean when I say they are admitting they need to count people who are here illegally to keep power to keep money yes sometimes you know people say well this is such a political issue is it just an issue of the law it's that and it's not really even a has real refer questions again with representation yes I understand and with federal funding and if it's you know you have an area with a lot of illegals they potentially get more money them places where there are fewer people here illegally but it's hard to work with someone when you can't agree on what is breaking the law yes even though we know what the law is because bigger the house Nancy Pelosi had this to say about putting the citizenship question on the census and quite frankly if I'm putting on my social justice for your hat I think it's a little offensive if you if you want to know the truth here here you go this is about.

"Camp is off on special assignment. He'll be back on Monday, Scott Robbins in for David wick, the Notre Dame cathedral fire somebody having my tinfoil hat. Thank you. Let me put that on. Go ahead. Investigators in Paris are saying they believe an electrical short-circuit is most likely to cause behind the massive fire at Notre. Do you believe in it? No. That's why head on. That's what I thought since you're wearing that his blinding me. I know the French. That's just my regular ahead. Yeah. The French judicial police. Said they were talking about that they're sifting through the rubble right now. Authorities say was an accident. Probably the result of restoration work at the what was going to be a fix of the ceiling of this thing, some fist fifty investigators are actively working on the case they have yet to finish. All their interviews with workers that were there. That's where it started in the roof of the cathedral. That's where they had been working. And they're saying now, it seems to be electrical in nature. Okay. Which of course, means that that no one set fire to it like, they're setting fire to other churches and Christian organizations around the country. This one's different. It was done by electrical fire. Okay. All right here. Move on. But they can't quite get it at totally investigate because it's unsafe unsafe to enter, and they have tracked down all the workers that had been involved in the process either. Okay. So is it safe to say just how much conspiracy or after here is it that I know in my heart someone set that fire or you sort of like what I think is a lot of us saying it could have been. But if we find out in the end it was set on purpose. I wouldn't be shocked. I don't know if we're ever going to find out whether it was set on purpose or not. Yes. Because I mean all hell can break loose. If that were the case, there's always going to be out in your mind. Well, yes, yes. But I prefer to go tell you what that was not electrical fire. Yeah. Yeah. Well, I don't know if you saw this the Washington Post. Yes. They sort of feel good about all of the fundraising. That's been done. Should. I mean, I mean, despite the fact it's a lot of money. And despite the fact, there's other things I suppose that money could go towards people feel that way about it. They feel generous to get it restored back to the tourist attraction was and and for the symbolism represents. So they're writing their own checks. Well, nothing wrong with that, man. If you if you've got a little extra money, and you want to give it to that then far bid for me to tell you. Otherwise, you have it for some this is an example of everything wrong class warfare to ethnic identity. Oh, Mike all points in between. Yeah. You got French billionaires coming to the rescue of a French national wonder. Isn't that sort of white privilege? No, upper crust nutri. This from hot air. Part of the peace talks about a leader from the yellow vest movement, those guys protesting inequality a lot of demonstrations since the middle of November, right? Saying, you know, the donations essentially confirm their broader social critique saying if they can give tens of millions to rebuild Notre Dom the nation. Stop telling us there's no money to help with the social emergency. You're not buying into that. No, I'm so bored with the whole idiocy of that those remarks in that conversation. Okay. We can't simply just be people want to rebuild the structure that means a lot to them. Whether it's because of the religious part of it, the nationalism the historical part of it architectural don't care. Nobody's going to yellow jacket and going give me some money, and I'm going to hold a gun to your head until you do or anyone else for that matter. People are freely giving it up and saying this is what I wanna do it. My money. Fired up today, man, I'm telling you, I know woke up this morning. I stood in a corner. Beat my head against about ten minutes before even got here today. Oh, man. There's a lot of good things happening in the world. I really are. Good Friday and Easter Sunday, and well, listen. And if you just go about your business most days. Yeah. You see a lot of good people in the world. You really do. I do you pay attention to news too long without a sense of humor. Oh, geez. No. I try to maintain it even with the mullahs report coming out yesterday and switching gears here, there's massive amount of fighting both sides, and you know, there are some people working today democrat or Republican, and they're just going back and forth, hoping hopefully good-naturedly sometimes doesn't work that way. But in the end, we just try to boil it down to who does it help politically in the end because that's what it sort of comes down to. But then we always wonder about the marriage of George Conway Kellyanne Conway, I do. And I know the easy take is that's their marriage is none of our business. And I get it. That is true. But is it improper to wonder how that works because they seem so opposite in their opinion of the president. Oh, I think one works for one hates. We getting played Scott being married is hard enough hard enough when you get along on certain things when you do collectively believed. I don't know. Here's the thing. Man. I can tell you that right now you're gonna probably be with someone at some point in your life. If you aren't already who doesn't like some of the same things you like in terms of music, and pop culture, and and other things two things, I think you have to agree on you have to agree on religion, you have to because that can tear people apart. If one is in one isn't as the kids. Oh my God. Forget it. And number two is politics. I mean, I could be with a vagina hat wearer. I mean, I'm serious. But it wouldn't work for me. Right. But you would work for her either. So you have people that are married, and then one finds faith and the other one doesn't that? And they did it, but it's difficult guess or once political views of all over time, and they're not on the same this. This is a little different when you're telling the world screwed this. My wife's an idiot. I'm going to do what I want Kellyanne Conway out yesterday. And we both admired what she says accepting apologies and people should feel good about this report and its conclusions. Make people feel very good about feel really great that campaign that I managed to successful end did not collude with any Russians..

The checker with one to go and can't have enough gas to get to the end hands that s- third winning a year for Justin Haley who puts to geometrics we had Johnny solder on last week. And he said his goal was to get Justin Haley into homestead boom, nothing. He had anything to do with it. But man, he's right there. Christopher bell. Who's won more races this year? Wrecks on the first lap starting on the pole. You'd think hey, I'm going to be on the poll. It's going to be a good time. But that new treacherous turns one and two in Texas really make it difficult to get going on on newer tires recalled or tires. It. Just doesn't offer the grip as we've seen a couple of last races in Kansas. We saw big wrecks off return to this took not Christopher bell out. But he definitely got squirrelly early. And then couldn't make it back up. Cole Custer gets back to homestead to raise for a championship. Who won that race last year? Yeah. Cole coaster dominated by fifty are thirteen second lead on second. We finished second with the Penske car with Sam Hornish, and he dominated. So that'll be curious turn of events to see him go there and. As for a championship for his first fulltime year in the expanding series. Yeah. But obviously the main event yesterday in Texas was the monster energy NASCAR Cup series. It came down to a final into the ratio between Ryan Blaney. Kevin Harvard for the wing Kevin Harvick picks up the victory. The eighth of the year. Like you said, and this is what he had to say..

"Organization can only consume so much change at district can only consume so much change in. I've heard many, many stories of that first day back at school where you get the fire hose of initiatives and it's three or four initiatives this year we're doing this and this year we're doing that. We're completely changing something here. Oh, and by the way you're going to have to update these forms that you're going to be doing new expenses, all that all that sort of stuff. And you just came back from your from your summer off, and I put that in quotes because I don't know of any teachers that really take the whole summer off. I didn't saw you. So it's and so now all of a sudden, oh, and then you have to teach. Yeah, right. You, you have to get your kids ready. You have to get your classroom or do you have to do all the stuff that you would normally be doing? But now there's these other, you know these three or four other things? Yes. And there's that's. That's where you get people right teachers or people. We forget that often, especially outside of education. There are people that have jobs, they have kids, they have families, they have. Interests. They have hobbies, and now we're now we're bombarding them with stuff that's going to interrupt that. And so you have to be really sensitive to how much change your district can can take on. And I think that that's really incumbent on leaders within the district to be very, very aware of that. I think that's their job and that's I would I would throw, you know, teachers on special assignment. I would say directors of PD, certainly system superintendent superintendents, those folks that really have to be sensitive to that. Because in the end you want to be successful with these things. Right? You wanna you wanna change your district, but you have to if you overwhelm them, then you're then you're going to just end up with a lot of failure. So speaking of awareness, Damon, and administrators, and being sensitive to PD in an overload. One of the most relevant parts of this article for me was when you spoke about administrators who insist on continuing PD initiatives insist on doing all of this PD even though they know. No, that there's no buy in and they know that it's not affective. Why is it? Why is this happening? Why did they insist on continuing to pound educators with the stuff when they know it's not working? Well, I don't want to come off as having those solution here. So give you my kind of take on it, but it's and I'd be interested in your perspective on this, but I think there's there's a couple of reasons. One is it's often just innocence, right? They're, they're, they're super excited about whatever their initiative is. And when you're kind of that early adopter that go getter, you kind of want everyone to have this new thing, and that could be technology or could be a new way of teaching or whatever it is. And so you're like, why isn't everyone so excited? Like, I'm excited and we forget, we forget that that you have teachers in people have limited amount of time and and it is a job and they still have all these other things that they want to do with their with. Their day. You know, they're got spouses. They've got kids, they've got whatever get the kids to soccer practice, all it sort of stuff..
