"He's had so far winning six races so just pretty cool to see a horse of this quality debut for connections they'd probably have some cheaper horses and their hard and i mean he is the son of nyquist and we've seen these nyquist the first year that he siren runners. They can really perform run. Some faster speed figures. Obviously he's the sira breeder's cup juvenile fillies winner. V quist so. I wonder what what's going to happen with this horry. Say he's the kind that i wouldn't be surprised to see show up at a different bar next time because two horses that debut like this for low profile connections they typically do get some offers for them. So we'll see what happens but this does appear to be at worse with ability. Yeah that was my exact thought. I wonder how long the hold onto this horse when i saw the connections but you never know it just depends how ambitious they are and what kind of offers they get. But the hearst whore certainly look like he's worth some pretty serious offers coming onto our final venue of this show. That's los alameda out in california and no real stakes racing to highlight this week. But there wasn't a maiden an allowance race that we should talk about on saturday. They ran a five furlong allowance. Race on the dirt course for older horses and mr vargas who has accomplished His career highlights on the turf horse. That's handled dirt many times throughout his career as well He just ran this field off their feet. There was a ton of speed signed on could tested pace and he just kept going. Yeah this was quite a performance for him at you said most of his biggest wins have come on the turf but he got a one. Eighteen time form speed figure for the win We did have it a little bit. Slow wurley only a one. Oh seven page figure at that. I call but he just drew away from their. Nobody else was even able to give them much of a warm up and there were some pretty decent horses in here. I mean sparky. Bill's been a stakes performer. Who we've talked about many times albeit mostly on turf as well but he does have agreed to win or on dirt in the ass sand visit day as three year old. So at this was an impressive performance for mr vargas. Yes for a horse was six years old. He really hasn't raised that much in his career. i think he's only race like i wanna say twelve or thirteen times if that And he did accomplish that stakes. Victory on the turf last summer at del mar. But you always talk about how some horses to really like los alameda if you look through his career. He's actually it's done this before most alameda three there in his career and even though he might be a little better on the turf this Los alamos dirt surface to agree with them. Yeah he is free for three and the actually ran a one. Twenty six back there in july of Couple years ago. I believe it was twenty eighteen. But yeah he's a horse certainly seems to like that surface and he's actually got a good dirt record at other tracks as well so he's versatile and given the state of the sprint division out west i mean maybe he could jump back into stakes company..

"I still kicking myself for highly distorted, not that I was going to pick the horse on top, but. This is the horse that could easily. You can make a case for He had a race. Couples starts back. That was sensational did not run so well on his comeback that through a lot of people off for you know, that's one reason why you need to dig deeper into the PP's than just the horses most recent start, but highly distorted. He popped the gay and he was gone. It was impressive performance. Bet Down I think he was fifteen on the line and got that all the way down to five, so he was lives and You Know Hernandez got out of the gate on this front runner and race over so. By highly distorted, and it came a day after Mike Pisces steal. The diamonds was disappointed in the stakes race, the daisy cutter but Pipe Cambridge back in one is turf sprint phone a day with that good maiden. Highly distorted. Well and you mentioned the daisy cutter Joe Joe Air in there, for Andrew Farm and Wesley Ward. Drayton Van Dyke. Actually. The FLAVIAN Pratt aboard On Joe Joe Air and you got seventy two. You mentioned. Steal the diamonds who I originally win win. which he first showed up I, would call her stealthy diamonds. And there was also the forced fleet treat earlier on the card big sweep mark Latte for Rancho to Moscow and Red Barn a Korean bread, of course, because it's Mr Big and This philly! Kind of handled that trio in the fleet trait. Yeah big sweep ran well in the fleet traits. You WanNa, race and both. Trademark Glatt an Jackie Flooding Pratt afterward. They said she's winning races even though she's running on the surface that she really doesn't care for Pratt. Glad that this is not a dirt philly well. She's never started on grass, but she's compiling That was your second stakes went I believe and she did it, but glass looking forward to putting her on grass, and he might have an opportunity a little bit later on in the meat. with there's a cow bread grass stakes race. Up The up the road here at del Mar, the name completely escapes me, but to calibrate to learn. Grassroots and glass, considering at this point stretching her out putting her grass see if she can improve on her jerk form forms pretty doggone good, even though Pratt has said she doesn't really handle the surface all that great so unbelievable team, big sweep stretch out on graft against Cowbridge I think it's called the Salona beach later. Okay summer, but. We'll find out in the meantime glass. God has very nice Philly and by the way you know we I know we haven't talked about the read yet, but Glatt Trained Sharp Samurai. Super finishing second yesterday in the Eddie read, the trip was wrong for him. He was supposed to be for the placed instead he was laughed and he finished well against the grain of the ray shape, and he ran well to finish second in the Eddie. Read and I wonder. I wonder if Glatt might take a crazy shot if if united is going to be one of the favorites in the Pacific classic deservedly, so you can get the density trains well on dirt, but if united is going to be one of the favorites, then wouldn't you have to at least consider sharp? Samurai as a potential bomb in the Pacific classic. He is another grass source that has trained super on the main track. The question for Short Samurai, can he stay in mild one quarter, but his runner up finish yesterday and Eddie read. I thought was very very very very good. Kinda lost into Hoopla of United announced going to the classics. Well and there's that man again one. Well, yeah and you could probably say that was great. Ground saving ride and all that stuff I sense there might have been a little frustration from the Glatt camp. After the race, because Sharp Samurai the plan was not to take back and rally from last. The plan was to be forwardly placed. Pressing a modest modest pace, and then taking your best shot in the lane, but instead he had rallied from far back, and they don't think that was the plan so. In this case there probably is room to maybe second guess. Hernandez Strategy It turns out that the horse ran well. So that's all you can really hope for at this stage should Iran well. He finished second the race unfold differently than they expected, and he ran well under compromising conditions. Swell and speaking of horses. You can't question with the had J. on Friday. We were talking about the some spots and I. Couldn't. Leave the Sunday action off without mentioning. Sparky, Ville was back. WHO's one of my favorite horses in training and That was that was the best four to one you're you're ever going to get. He is he is the coolest. Well, it was the best four to one if you bet on him and Kootenai head. I did not you talk? You want to see a good ride? What go back and and watched it already, but I mean Mike Smith put up a Breeders Cup Caliber Ri-. He sat back. He saved every inch of ground. He waited got through. He angles out anyone in very clever fashion, a terrific ride by a hall of fame jockey and a tough turf. I can't get onto the same page with Sparky, though when I think he's going to run well doesn't when I think he might be four pops up with. Just the other day, so he's a good horse. There's no doubt about it. I would like to get into sink some. There's some horses where you just. In sync with the other horses were you can kind of sense there highs and lows, and you know when they're coming up with good race. You know when they might be tailing off and then there's sources like in my case Sparky Bill. Get on the same page so the next time he runs on my future attacks and find out what whether you like them or not? I just. been. I don't even know why. I latched onto him. when I did, but you know he's versatile and. Turf Sprint thing or the main track, and of course he won the vicinity. If you go back to the early last winter, he, he's just He's very likable. He's a candy Reid and J been. Clued me in and Jay Humpty frequently, listen to this show. clued me in that the dam of sparky Ville was named. For Laura Lie. Husky. or or Krona D., as it were and law rely K., and I thought that was very cool that That's very cool and obviously dismissed has turned out to be one heck of producer. I actually did I. I should clarify something 'cause when he won the San Francisco last year. I did like him that day. Last time I was right about spark, but you know as with his pedigree. He's supposed to run on anything and he does, and he's just. He's just a good good racehorse. Nice four to one in a small field, the other day I was on a different horse. Well I I want to mention one other before we talk about today and what's coming up this week at del Mar Brad free with US everybody I do WanNa. Mention the seventh race winner, and there for a couple of different reasons, the longest shot on the board sweet river veins comes running under Pereira and Tim McKenna and whenever Tim wins, and then he's one himself. Five couple of thousand races Washington Hall of Famer and. His family as well as the Holland door, fers Janet and Jerry. Have the. the farm. They ranch Up in Washington and they work with. Traumatized. PTSD the veterans, and so whenever McKenna wins I I. Always you know want to point out what good work they do and one other reason that that sweet. River Baynes had caught. My eye was bowl lane one of our favorite horsemen. Bread Sweet River Baynes fifty six to one Brad. Well fifty six to one hundred and fourteen dollars and forty cents, and the biggest bomb under under Sunday program, and it made at least one better, ultimately, very happy, a little later on in any afternoon when when that better hit the pick six, but. Kim Mechanics is no stranger to del Mar Do you remember.

"Wild Man Jack Coming. Now after Sparky Bill Sparky Bill Resilient while Man Jack here it is photo finish. That is too close to call a very very tight photo in one that I got wrong. On first glance I really thought spark even one in fact I think the sand and the angle his. I've just been off on it all weekend. There was a there was one race on Sunday. I thought for sure A horse coming through on the inside at one. And he didn't I thought sparky Ville had the nose down at the right time on this one. I was wrong. He didn't wild Man Jack Ended up getting the nose and I kind of said. I thought this was a race to maybe get a price and Sparky Ville was certainly that seventy to one and just missed mean ranch such a game rates for Giovanni Franko Jeff Body. But you're two to one favorite while Man Jack comes back for May Don Mike Smith and gets the win. Stubbins obviously had a bad trip. It was not the best weekend from a trip perspective. I don't think for Umberto Rissoli as much as I kinda heaped. Praise on last weekend tough. He had a couple of tough ones over the weekend. And this was one of and I don't know for sure I mean it's always easy to assign blame when there's trouble to the writer and it's really not always the riders fault you know could could could a horse have been put out in a better spot. Generally there's opportunities for that but you know so. It's kind of one of the things when you commit to the inside like when you get through your a hero and when you don't you're the goat not not the goat like the kids say now but the go like the actual animal And so you know you you make those decisions and he thought I was. I would guess that he probably thought okay. Well this one horse is going to give up some weight in behind the other one and when he comes back I can dive down toward the rail and then it never happened. Seventy two one shot just kept on running but Texas Wedge. Got Going a little bit late and we're just didn't really run a jump so I was definitely wrong on that one but the nice win coming back from Dubai for Wild Man Jack Just very interesting turf sprinter. He is and look forward to see more of him. The China Wittingham on Saturday at Santa Anita and Favouritism actually went the way of rock. Emperor United ended up going off your second choice. I had said I thought rock emperor was was probably a single in those late sequences not the biggest united fan in the world but he ended up going off his a very clear second choice. Those two very much dominated the wagering. Take a listen to the Charlie Wittingham from Saturday at Santa Anita. Five eighths of a mile to go in the Charles Wittingham synthesised leads the way united creeping. Closer and second originator is now clearly third with a half mile to Ron. Multiplier continues to ride the rail and rock emperors getting a little bit closer still four lengths off the lead and desert stone into the far turn still synthesis in united one to originate. Romy outside multiplier rock emperor. The running order has not changed and desert stone. United takes the lead easily passed a quarter pole as synthesis surrenders originator into second rock opera on the outside united shakes free with Furlong Nagoya. Go a link to the half originator running on gamely as as Rock Kemper outside Rock Kemper originator United Desert. Storm is.

"Because you know it's kind of a work day for me as Sunday's normally are inside just kept thinking out Sunday Sunday and then I'd remember that it's not it's Monday in it's Memorial Day. I hope you guys all had a very good holiday weekend. Joined the extra time off. I get to do a little When I little Dade Long Road trip on Saturday watch racing all day Sunday? Wash raising interspersed on the road trip Saturday. Actually a funny story about Max `field and we'll get to that but And then Monday watch racing hung around. We won't be able to recap the end of the card Santa Anita stakes races for Monday. 'cause they are going off after our normal published time. I'll shoot publish around five. Pm Pacific The night before the show comes out because I know a lot of you guys like to listen in the evening time and so we will talk about that tomorrow on Wednesday Excited for this week's guests and shows George L. Branka Join US from Texas Horse Player but owner and Works for the thoroughbred board there. We're GONNA talk some Lonestar. Some Texas racing. He had a nice He popped the late pick five. I think it was Sunday. Churchill for twenty thousand we'll talk about that too So looking forward to having him on I got to meet him at. Nhcd this past year and so we'll talk some Lonestar as I watched a fair bit of Lonestar that we kind of got unlucky with the weather. It rained most of the weekend down there so their turf races off their turf racing down there so I look forward to that. Once the weather gets a little better we'll talk with George on Wednesday show Thursday. I mentioned last week where I was going to try to put this together and we are going to do a little bit of a roundtable dedicated to discussion of watching and using the odds board. The will pays the probables I have a couple of friends who you know. Big Part of their bedding is is doing that and is watching the numbers and watching. You know how things are playing out kind of quote unquote behind the scenes. I mean I know the odds are out there public. But there's interpretation of odds more than just always taking money are always taking money and so we will talk about that a couple of buddies who we've had on here before Josh Hansen Chris. Todd so we'll have that conversation on Thursdays Horse player Thursday show in Friday. We'll be right back. I'll get into the weekend as opening tracks opening around the country. Next weekend boy the stakes drawn for next week Churchill. What was it one of the great threes just loaded with graded stakes winning horses and I forget. Was it the old something another? Forget the names of the races a bad about that. I'm HORRIB- in California. That's where I'm the worst. Add it like because they're all saying a lot of at least and it's like okay. The Santa Margarita the Santa Ana the sand vicinity which one is which is the downhill for the older horses. I guess none of them are the downhill anymore. But I wonder if that will come back sometime soon like I know Santa Anita anytime. There's an injury there. It goes on the newspapers even if it's less than other tracks. I mean they've just kind of been painted into this corner But I wonder if you know the downhill for the covert thing. I think one of the off shoots seems to have been that People got a lot of other stuff to worry about. I mean we know that this all started was when the service Navarro stuff came out. It was barely a peep outside of the racing world about that so I don't know if Cova will have the same effect if the protesters and people that don't like us we'll be Be Backup enforce or will they have to remain six feet apart? So they'll just say screw it we don't want to deal with it anymore but Lots to look back at on this so we get. Why don't we start at Santa Anita and we'll do that? The first part of the show and then we'll shift our focus over to Churchill and I don't know that we'll get to Gulfstream. We might get to the Saturday card a little bit. The Sunday and Monday cars were just total washouts there. They had huge huge amounts of rain. I did the weekend preview on Friday for Gulfstream Saturday. We luckily on the turf there and I was pretty happy with with most of my observations right in a lot of spots and wrong in a couple of spots. But I think I felt like I was reading the races more right than wrong that day. Which is always a good thing you'd never going to. You know scold an entire card but you know like I said overall I think the the thoughts put out on the show. Where we're we're decent ones so happy about that. Churchill on the other hand I mean if if you get a lot of short priced layoff horses. That were big names the year before. If they're all winning on a card I can guarantee you my days not going well and I know that it's situational but I would say that I tend to gravitate towards going against shorter priced comeback types. I mean Max feel the perfect example and I mean it just seemed like every race Churchill. That's what was winning at least on on Saturday. Saw My man Eddie. Dee gave out the late pick five on his His bet share ticket. So happy for ED. Whoever a played along in the the bet share with him on on Monday On Memorial Day so We'll We'll try to get as much of that as we can but I mentioned Santa. Anita WanNa start with the the Saturday card and we'll start with the Daytona stakes which was the fifth race on the program. Doug O'Neill obviously with a pretty big hand here. He had three runners Including Wild Man Jack Including Stubbins and the other one was Murad Khan who I kinda liked is a bit of a price option. I thought this might have been a race to to get a price home. I thought there was some reasons to think while Man Jack could be a little short you know. Texas wedge was kind of the one that scared me the most of the what I would call four logical. But let's take a listen back to Franks call from Saturday. It's the Daytona on the grass at Santa Anita in their often the Daytona Texas wedge comes out. Running Sodas Sisteron in between them wild Man Jack. They're joined at the rail by Sparky Ville in the orange sleeves and stubbins a very close fifth. Another three back to Murad Khan and blame it on the law at the back. Pass the half-mile Pole. They go. Citron narrowly sparky bill at the rail. While Man Jack. Outside of that pair stubbins on the fence. Texas wedges fit three legs off the lead another three to Morad. Khan whose foreign front of blame it on the law it sparky bill coming to the quarter pole. A neck in front of second extreme outside Texas wedge trying to get into it while Man Jack has one from the outside behind them stubbins. Top of the stretch and sparky bill shakes loose a link and a Half Wild Man Jack now takes up the chase on the outside further out is Texas wedge system a driving finish chest as expected. Here's.

way thank you our presence try to stay out in front of it and and he's out there doing a news conference every day exponentially better than what Obama did in two thousand eight two thousand nine with it with H. one N. one Obama when it's over fourteen hundred Americans then declared an emergency and the day he declared an emergency one play golf and we give you bring that up now by the way Europe and people attack you on Twitter which is ridiculous I'm just reporting facts this is what the guy did or didn't do this president has been acting very very swiftly and very quickly and bring you the updated information from doctor Burks and Dr Adam to Dr Fauci Anna from doctor Carson he's bringing you information from the different departments whether it be justice or or whether it be homeland security so we're we're at least getting as much information as were allowed to have I still think we should have more and I wish that would step up but it's interesting quandary she keep Walmart open you keep the drug stores open to keep the grocery stores open you keep restaurants open for drive thru takeout so how do you ensure social distancing their any sense the call is is basically a Petri dish I hear him is not far off to be honest we go back out and you have a line five is going to be a Eugenia in New York what's happening hi hi Joe by the way sounds good and vibrant thank you I'm doing well I love your name by the way thank you I was named after my dad he's Italian and my cousin is kind of stuck over there but they're doing well considering the situation and I did want to talk to you about a few points that you've been bringing up this is my first time listening to your show thank you and I would like to say that as far as New York is concerned everyone is being very you know well being good soldiers and trying to help each other out and with that being said SUNY new Paltz our college the science and engineering department they have three D. printers and so they have produced over a thousand shield to be used for you know first responders which we're all grateful to them central Hudson which is our electricity company for the Hudson Valley they're contributing this gal sister Carol Ian from Connecticut he had god bless her she had a role of transparent acetate which can be used there's enough of it to make another thousand shields had to artisans are contributing gloves and gowns and it's awesome it's just really awesome in terms of Walmart I just heard your other caller we have a Walmart in new Bern I think it's been nearly twenty one maybe twenty two years I watched it go up in any case where about the Hudson Valley New bird is two Air Force base west point is fully maybe seventy miles down the road and so New York is about you know maybe ninety miles depends on where you're going to work so anyway and Newburg is a major exit off of the Thruway so we get a lot of visitors and so on you know we have forces headquarters in Vanderbilt mansions across over in Texas county and whatever my point is is that the Walmart I was there two weeks ago and they had fresh air being pumped into the store they had to go into the food area click to food and if you wanted to pass through the rest of the story you were you are permitted to and then you would exit out another entrance they have places on the floor where you stand it's just a really well run so in terms of the Petri dish comment I think it's up to the individual stores and the managers and the staff and these people have been there like I said twenty one twenty two years you know them by name well I I hear you but it but it sounds like in Connecticut where he shops it's it's very different and you're right I mean if the I don't think it should be up to the individual stores it shouldn't be a problem is like that I think the company should say this is how you do it more often I can let you open up it hurts our policy do it do it how they're doing it Neuberger what which makes perfect sense to me yeah I'm glad to hear that I haven't gone to Walmart to be honest with you we've been ordering stuff that they get shipped to the house and I'm going to a drive through restaurant a couple of times but other than that we're not going into a mixing in the in that sort of way because I'm not really sure that people are following the directives I think they should be able to go out but but I choose not to that's interesting they do they're doing the right thing to in terms of the virus and where it came from there was a gentleman on at some point this past week I don't recall but anyway he spoke about and I know what he's talking about because I witnessed it in St Croix I used to be I'm in my fifties I used to be in the travel business for like twenty some years so I had the opportunity to flatter Stewart with American and you know we flew over the Caribbean so anyway we're in St Croix and we're bombing around and there's an open market so we stopped and I wouldn't go in because the stench was overwhelming and then securing chicken thing carols and anything and everything that can that needs to be butchered and prepared for consumption is done in one location okay so Peter that picture how do you see like this you know like a pole building with each and open in the Caribbean right he terms okay bacteria so it's thought it's been in per se by this gentleman where back and cats and dogs and other animals are butchered in the same location in China and that's where it stemmed from now with that being said Italy how come Italy got impacted well the thought is and the numbers say don't hold me to any of this I'm just giving you information that was passed on to me but it's something to research and think about you guys can do all that because yeah I I actually know why Italy is being affected like that because Italy has three hundred thousand Chinese immigrants than those that that are there legally no I've got it they've got a huge illegal immigrant problem with China is well and China and China took off I I ate an entire area of Italy Florence area I mean the mayor is there were all world greased the the the people who are running the joint role Greece and China came to basically deliver speak Italian there anymore in this part of northern Italy they speak Chinese I gotta run I love you and I love you called in a live you listen thank you I appreciate the information but yeah that's why Italy so heavily impacted and they actually had a program at the beginning of this call to hug a Chinese I'm not even kidding you how did Chinese this is how back where they were there because these governors in these local mayors were all being grease they're all being given a bunch of money on to pay offs and now if you go to a certain part of Italy there are signs in Chinese and people who speak the language of the Italian language they walk around they speak Chinese and I guess they re did the port there but they've taken over all the business all the mom and pops in in Italy are gone the middle exist anymore that part of Italy's basically little China now so yeah that's exactly what's going on and we actually had that that we expose.

"Media there plus the live video feed it is the the weekend with Joe pags also glad to be on the blaze radio network all yes all this was Steven Crowder over the blaze actually uncovered who this person was who she and her husband allegedly took this chloroquine phosphate which is a a fish tank cleaner in Arizona yeah no no bitbay allegedly took it because the president told them the chloroquine somehow is going to help them that's the allegation turns out they always go to the series history of of violent behavior turns out she is aid donor to Hillary Clinton and a far leftist groups turns out in twenty twelve I guess she was trying to get a divorce from his husband the husband died she didn't she claims she took they took Laura Quinn phosphate which was not ever talked about they took that because the president told them to what he said it constantly and by the way the president never told anybody to take that he said he was hopeful that it could be used as some sort of medication to help those suffering from corona virus it's a malaria drug prescribed by a doctor fish tank cleaner is not prescribed by a doctor just gonna help you out with that turns out lot of holes in that story that the big media is not covering because they like the idea that they can blame trump for the this guy's death which he had nothing to do with it but they liked that idea I think that's okay again it's hydroxy Corcoran it's a medicine approved for malaria now the FDA has approved it for use on patients suffering from corona virus so people are Gretchen Whitmer the governor of Michigan had to change her tune when she was saying all right we're going to go to make an executive order you can't prescribe clerk when well set up to use Sparky bills you your governor Nevada tons of devices name that governor also was banning the prescription of Clark when you know why because he's an idiot there are people in big government that they're making decisions that proves that you never should have elected them to begin with Monday through Friday to hear me in in Las Vegas today you hear me in Reno you should be hearing him in Reno Monday through Friday but that's another story you guys are electing these people I don't I don't get it Michigan you sure honestly I love Michigan clubhouse there right sixteen stations in Michigan Monday through Friday what the were you thinkin electing Gretchen Whitmer what exactly were you thinking what what exactly goes through your mind when you say this is the person she wasn't I don't tell me about how because you that's not going twenty seven feet leisure purposely projectile you know coughing and it's these are not people that's not the case it's so we completely debunked that immediately we should be outside outside activity should be allowed and we just stay away from each other this whole idea that we have to be locked in our houses is weird what else yeah and are on the hook for bombers biggest it got the idea that that they beat Walmart is still open I agree with it staying open but yeah there's got to be a policy in place to how you do that you have to do it and the people have to stay "Back at some of the racing action from around the country this past weekend. Of course it was Brad Cox Day at the fairgrounds but It would not be Brad Cox Day at Santa Anita and part of that is because I don't think he was running anything there but stakes action going out at the great race place. It's still. It's still kind of bizarre knowing that. There's nobody in the crowds at any of these places but like when you watch on TV. It just seems like or shrinks and it looks like a race you know what Santa Anita where they're going down the stretch and Yada Yada Yada but the San Simeon stakes grade three on the grass and the return of bound for nowhere. We haven't seen since October at Belmont. Wesley Ward Rainman. Dyke you're wanting to two favorite citron who I mentioned has found success as a dirt. Sprinter trying out the the grass which starts on the dirt. Maybe that was part of the what we call the Tim. Riff o course because it kind of came about when when writ fo was empowered but You know started out as a turf sprinter and was good but was you know. I've mentioned this many times on the show but I think it's important. Remember with turf sprints. There's very few big grade. One races out there other than the Breeders Cup it a couple of big ones in New York. So you're bigger. Races are often grade. Threes or seventy five hundred thousand dollar steaks and so- sister on while he was competing at Grade Three Allowance. You know listed stakes. He's running against conquests who Nami Haskell law-abiding citizen stormy liberal. I mean good good top level turf sprinters so you know. He made the switch to dirt and he did it so well. He won the grade. Tacona Goldie missed in the triple banned by a whisker in a race that you thought he had and then he wins the great one bing crosby so he switches over to the grass and they hammered out of nowhere down to one to two and they leave sister on at almost nine to four forty one. Let's take a listen back to the last little bit of the San Simeon approaching the quarter pole surrender now just drifting out of touch bound for nowhere comes to challenge citron to behind them in third than King of speed Voodoo Song. Murad Khan and Sparky Ville. There's a furlong left to go and bound for up to take the lead Brown. Takes up the chase outside. Surrender now than sparky bill between horses far outside. Murad Khan has takes off on the outside of bound for an hour knows that knows photo-finish close sisteron and bound for nowhere third between Murad Khan king of speed and Sparky Bill. So sisteron gets the score over bound for nowhere rallies from just off the pace to to get the win surrender now broke so so sharp and bound for nowhere did not break very well star at squeezed a little bit but rushed up and you know he's not an he's not usually an on the lead type usually right off the start. Very well could have made the difference. I mean he got beat ahead but I start coming off a little bit of a layoff. I think there's room for forgiveness and I think there's reason to think he can move forward off that one. But assist Ron and Victor Espinoza with an ice win capping off thirteen thousand six hundred dollar early. Pick five the early four racist two through five paid five hundred twenty bucks so you got about twenty six twenty five twenty six times more for the pick five than you did the pick four and the horse that you needed to get twenty five times. More was a six to one fifth choice. The field of nine so not the again. The lower takeout the extra multiplier the harder degree of difficulty the payouts on the pick five can just be awesome it and it was kind of one of those pick fives where there wasn't any huge upsets but you just kind of kept beaten favorites with horses. That were not necessarily like the first choice. It was kind of a wide open race a five the two morning line favorite and after the horse that won the fifth choice it went from six to one to twelve one thousand nine hundred one so. I'm sure not. Everybody had that horse but one that you could could see folks having the second leg you get a five to one but it's a five horsfield. You not only beat the big favourite three to five all live your Oliver Viera Oliver. You also beat the two one second choice Dr Door so yes to five to one. I think that five to one played really really big and the pick five again third ratio nine one shot in a small field fifth choice out of six with a pretty low price. Six to five favorites. So those two upsets played huge. Because the fourth leg you gotta three to one third choice but a logical include. I think or at least a horse. I'm sure play people had and then yes. You beat the big favourite on the end. I think it was paying. I think it was paying three grand bound for nowhere for the pick five so a lot of people obviously Took a stand there but again. No crazy upsets just horses that we're not easy to have in legs than I think. A lot of people went narrow. And you get back thirteen thousand bucks in the Saint Louis Ray. I thought it was going to be kind of Chaki two-horse Race Well Work Jerry and Oscar to me as ran. I third as coming out of Dell power after the big long shot. Second last time finished second again. Oscar Dominguez was some traffic trouble. I think not helping his cause he probably was the second best horse in that race but foreign full finish to that one and then data Gulfstream Park. It was pocket. Oh Saturday Paco. Had seven winners. When the Ortiz brother is our way Palko will play huge huge day for him and then in kind of fashion got taken down for you know drifting on a couple of guys on on Sunday so you know Paco Giveth and taketh away. Every one of the cool things about being at Monmouth last summer was working with Brad. Thomas and I used to love to listen to him talk about the jockeys and he would often talk about you know Paco Lopez. Some of the good decisions he makes during a race and how much he'll give you down the stretch. When he's in contention. One of those winners was on strike magic mechanic. Who Will Talk to mark tomorrow? So looking forward to catching up with him. But the fifth race on the CARD SORRY STAKES. Later on it was the fifth race was Senator. Got My notes backwards. The nitrates the melody of colors and hear my prayer compensate. I I kind of said these five furlong races at GP. I just think that you WANNA be close up and not be too wide etc etc and then sure enough the to that on my optics plot who were the front runners Weren't necessarily first and second early but they were first and third and finished first and second way way clear of everybody else. That was one of those ones that was like. Oh that looks like it. It made sense but it was here my prayer for David Fisher scoring and that one and then the Texas glitter it was Cajun cazenove and begin to ask us for Michael Pinot coming from off the pace catching arm and Joe. Who was the loose leader for Georgina? Baxter in midstretch was two and a half in front but just got nailed right on the money to take home the Texas glitter and then Taco won the twelfth and final for lunch. Which was it. I thought it was luke. I guess it was somebody else. Very SIMILAR SILKS. Lucia's strange but National honor pocketing the final. Jump to win five races on this Saturday at Gulfstream so and handle at Gulfstream for the Saturday. Eleven million of doing just under a million dollars race when they were kind of the third fiddle in terms of Big Days big races etc. So it's going to be interesting to watch. How handle is you know again racing? Yes it's kind of the only game in town right now but also be you know. I'm just unsure how many people are firing away with all the uncertainty in everything going on but I'm sure there I mean there's clearly play people who are are still playing if we're still handling tens of millions of dollars on these weekend cards but so again Marquette GonNa join us tomorrow supposed to be joined by track. General Manager on Wednesday told him if he can't I understand but we'll we'll try to get that done and look forward to the rest of the week being with you guys here like I said as long as they'll let me keep doing it We'll see you guys back tomorrow. Hope everybody's have doing okay. I know this is not an easy time for everybody I know. I found myself with varied emotions from great to sad too scared to you know. Thank for C. Jason Charles Beam itchy mill dot com if anyone needs to email Whether it's horse racing related you know just needs to prevent or whatever you know how to get a hold of me trying to get back to everybody within a day or so but appreciate everybody tuning in. I mean we had you know I was. Kinda curious what the I didn't know that if everyone because a lot of our listeners. Listen in their car and so I know people and working from home so I kind of figured we'd have dip in our downloads and it was kind of the same as the week before which was very good so I appreciate everybody's still sticking with us in the happy to be providing content for everyone and look forward to talk with you guys tomorrow. "Unfolds before I get into that subject to you. I just wanted to let the folks know that You know certain things were happening here in Nevada and Eventually Governor Steve to making a address to the entire state at six o'clock on Tuesday and He was pretty adamant when he was asked to getting again about the closures. A this is a very serious pandemic and should be taken seriously by all sorts not Nevada but throughout the country. And I know from dealing in talking with Some of the casino managers At at first they tried to stay. Open up there doing everything. They could to disinfect. All the machines and the seating and the restaurants and shows one by one you can see the because of lack of people coming out Show started closing. The restaurant started closing Than the sports board went completely dark because the the league colleges suspended or cancelled their activity and I know from horse racing point of view. I was Kinda hoping going into Wednesday. Steve that We would still be able to use the phone. Apps because that's not include a social gathering It was using your your cell phone or mobile APP to continue to bet on horse racing. I think thank goodness there. Are some racetrack still operating Sans Fans but The final chip fell Late yesterday when Gaming Control Board said no When when the came down all gaming machines were to close at midnight on Tuesday that included All the cell phones and Mobile APPS that people use here in Nevada for sports in for offices as far as The Kentucky Derby moving to September fifth. That's a well I obviously. I heard determined. She seen the term used multiple times. Many Times uncharted wearing unchartered waters. And so You know I applaud the strength of the decisions by Churchill downs by Keelan to cancel their meeting. That's that's an incredible piece of news. We'll be talking about her generations on forward that Kenyans one of the strongest was popular race. Meets the country actually not run? It is a really really a cup filled us while let the you know for the Derby moved to September fifth Personally I don't have an issue with it. These are trying times. And they're doing the best they can to keep the tradition going at least having in addition to the Kentucky Derby It will obviously change the triple crown as we know it at least for one year because now the races eventually when we find out what Naira GonNa do at the Belmont stakes What the stronach group and Pimlico is GonNa do the preakness We actually the triple crown races in quote out of order. But it's not the first time the triple crowns been run out of order so Historical they in front of me but It has not always been Derby preakness. Belmont so not real interesting to see as we progress houses on the two races fit into the schedule and that I know there are certain Fluid situations with -portant three year old races. And what's going to happen with them and you know what the processes are you talking about like after the Belmont usually the the big race coming up next the hassles invitational the mom. Nothing you got the travers of course at Saratoga. They got the Jim Dandy racist like that that are going to now be an interesting situation. Churchill. I had read that. They're considering possibly adding more point races. Yeah so then. Some of these races are going to be key races and trying to make the Kentucky Derby field so there's fluid movement there. It'll be interesting to see how this progressive regimen for you. You know you've got Santa Anita even with the limited schedule that they've been running And they've got very nice card setup for Saturday. I haven't had a chance to even mentioned. And we've been so focused a little bit the starting to arc toward covering fairgrounds and the Louisiana Derby Day action but Saturday the San Simeon and the Saint. Louis Ray as well on Saturday Santa. Anita in fact is a very when you sit down to handicap You probably haven't gotten to it yet. But the the TURF SPRINT. San Simeon got very strange circumstance seven Horsfield and all but one of them making their seasonal debut and integrated steak. I I can't have it. It's what is it march it so it's ten ten eleven weeks into the season can't recall at at this kind of a juncture seeing so many six out of seven that are making a seasonal debut. Morad Khan for Doug O'Neill second of start off the claim and one nice allowance sprint shortening up to five and a half off the off the claim for fifty He's got form us. A seven year old veteran by Raven's. Pass everybody else sparky bill making the four year. Old debut for Bondi. Wesley Ward sends out bound for nowhere for his six-year-old debut. Sy- Stran- for Sadler and around making the six year old debut. Peter Miller got surrender now the morning. Line Mayor She gets in at one sixteen. She's making her five year old debut Voodoo song the Longtime Linda Rice Trainee. Very Schwartz send out to Mandela. The supposed to try to fashion him maybe into A SPRINT TURF sprinter. He's making his six year old debut and King of speed for Bondi last seen in the La Hoya So it's a weird I. I can't ever remember seeing that many horses making seasonal debuts in one great at stake like that they just unusual. I have not.

"Out he's a pretty decent trip sprinter. Yeah. He's a horse who really turned a corner when a moved to the. Barna caught at cloudy Ogunsanya as he went from, you know, he could barely crack ninety speed figure. Suddenly he, he has run under one fifteen in four starts in the new barn. So I don't know what he's found. But he's been fast on now. He's been fast on turf. I was kinda early in the stretch. I look like he was running sideways the hallway through the lane, but he was so much better knees. It, it didn't seem to matter. He was able to hold on a not even hold on one fairly easily in. He was six to five in the race. So nobody was old. But good effort, you don't see many Indiana breads with this kind of speed figures. He may be the fastest one I've ever seen this off the top of my head curious where he shows up next Zeke run on third on earth in Aachen, these one twenties. I got a one six noon on Friday may be part of that was due to running sideways. I'm sure but hopefully they get them straightened out in and he could be a factor. He certainly has the speed to be. Good against anyone. Yeah. He was part of a pretty fast opening quarter mile in this race. So it seemed like just getting a little leg weary lay. It's heat like you were saying he was on the wrong league for the stretch run. He was also wearing those front wraps on the turf which you don't often see intersted races. So not the prettiest mover, not the prettiest horse to watch, but he's pretty fast. And like you said, I'll be interested to see where he goes next. That was all the racing from Pimlico last weekend. We'll touch upon some stakes races took place at other venues as we wrap up the podcast this week, beginning with the Louisville handicap from Churchill Downs. It's a mile and a half race for the older is on the turf some lower level graded stakes worse is in his a slam. Got the job done here, just kind of Lulling this field asleep on the fraud and really never gave him a chance from the quarter pole because it just turned into a sprint to the wire. Yeah, this is I believe the only race. I bet outside of Pimlico in Saturday, and I bet Nessie a horse we had talked about on a previous podcast. And you know, I just think he was up against it with the pace, I think he ran well at I don't regret. The bet went the winner, just had it always own way, we have the fractions all coated in blue. It was a glacial piece for this class, but you know, he won easy enough. Got a one twenty time for MU as figure as the runner up. Nessie Enda fourth-place finish or go, both got one twenty Twenty-one which kinda is because of at slow pace, we're talking about so no regrets on times racist. Don't go your way. But Nestle's the one I'd still want. Have it here. I'm sticking with my thesis on Nessie, which is that it was the turn back distance that really got him to wake up at allowance race at KEMA last time. And maybe he wants to go a little bit short in the mile and a half these days because these mile averages just often turn into these payslip situations in it really does work against like Nessie just going to keep getting in the wrong trips in these sorts of races. Because he's got that one run closing style as for his a slam. He had run deceptively well in his prior start in the elk horn. Quesnel. And that was a much tougher field. And he was one of the horse to survive the pace of that race. So he made sense in this race. He was pretty short price so much, anything clever, the runner up shar rose. I thought he arguably could have won this race. If his writer, Chris Landeros had sort of kept him in that spot just behind his slam on the backstretch whereas instead he gave up position at that point in the race than had to go around towards the top of the stretch. Maybe that cost him the victory all these, though, they ran pretty well. It was just sort of a blanket finish at the end. Yeah. One thing you see what Tisza slam as last three races. Looking at our chart eastward, one twenty one twenty one in one twenty the really consistent horse, but is this shows the strength of the fields in the trips with those figures? He's finished six or thin in I in basically races of similar quality. I won't said the others were a little bit tougher but they was more effector trickier in. He always runs the same race as has to get the rip in may be a week or competition. Yep. For sure. Somewhat weaker spot out. We'll move down to Florida and check out the major state alstreet last weekend. That was the musical romance, which is local prep for the Princess Rooney on that summit of speed, carved out of Florida last winner of the Princess Rooney, some stormy embrace. She won this prep race. Did it price of late in the way she did it last year? She also took down, the, the musical romance, Prentice really double in twenty eighteen but this performance, one of the best of her career she won nineteen time from your speed figure in visually impressive performance to watch anytime you win a seven furlong race. I believe it was by ten Lenz, you're doing some serious running. It was pretty sure it was the best of array of career by a few points as she look good doing admit it was a race. I didn't see you. I wasn't really paying attention the Gulfstream when you put it out in the rundown for today, I had to go and watch it. You know it was super good. I really fast rates. One nineteen not quite Kofi level. I'm not sure he's going to be able to get this kind of trip against better competition, but she really good curious where we're going to go with her. Yeah, I'm sure it's going to be onto the Princess Rooney and she'll probably be pretty Ford in that race, depending on who comes forward. I'm not sure if she's a horse that can take her format side of Florida. We'll see if she's able to do about because this was the best performance of her career both stick with the sprinters on the dirt didn't go to Santa, Anita to see the last Barreiras stakes which is won by Mu-chou Gustavo. This is one of these horses of turning back from triple crown prep races for Bob Baffert. He had been successful sprinting earlier in his career. They got him back to sprinting, which is probably where he's going to be most successful moving forward. And he looked okay. I wasn't all that. Impressed with them to be honest. You only got a one. Oh, wait time for US speed figure it midway. He did it easy. It's on track. We have coded as red as favoring this case, where I'm not sure how actor that is. I'm going to have to go book at 'em again. All the dirt races. There weren't very many of them. I think there were only four maybe five on the card were won by short price horses who went wire-to-wire we do try to take that into account that rating. But when every single where races won by short bridge favorite. You can't eliminate it completely so not really blown away the disappointment. This race was sparky Bill who had tried synthetic last time out thought he'd run a little bit better moving back and he was just a complete no-show much running at all. So I'm just gonna draw kinda ignore this race going forward. I wasn't impressed by anyone in here, even the winter. Yeah. I know what you mean watching the Mason actually Lucho Gustav was. Briefly in deep water at the top of the stretch because he had a bunch of horses ranging up around him. Sparking getting a good trip inside of him before angling out. But I do think his bottom from participate in all of those stamina oriented, route races really kicked it at the end of this race because he was drawing from this fields like he had something left in the tank at the end. I know that Joe tell had asked a little bit to get them there, but he was finishing off this rates pretty well. So we'll say I portraying him as a sprinter in this race. But maybe a mile is fine for him. I wouldn't be surprised to get that distance as well in the future. But like you were saying he's not the fastest horse overall. So I wonder how good he really is. He was beating weaker field in this spot the wrap up the show with to race from Bill on park last weekend. One of which was the only stakes race. I believe it was run this past week at Belmont that was the great three soaring. Softly at seven furlongs for the three year old fillies on the turf and no surprise that Chad Brown. Won the race a bit of supplies. The Chad route one, the long shot and caused an upset you often see. Happen under. No, you see more often than you think with the, the, the other Chad Brown as many people like to say, but she ran. Well, I think it was her first time on turf. If I remember, right a which inserted expect some jumped from Chad Brown. When they moved the earth at the ant on verdict clearly in maybe people were looking at the speed figures that ran as a two year old. But that's the thing to do when horses comeback as rear OJ almost always have them the run faster if the trainer showing some confidence in him. And he clearly was in this spot. We actually gave a better figure to michelina who weren't run a real fast race. First time out, he said a fast paced

Donte I believe so he worked fine here. He said he couldn't find a plane, but then when Baffert agreed to go with the much much better. I think that must be room for for von D on the plane. He's running isn't he running Baffert a horse in the in the know and not in the would he's not running. Desmond is not running. Even like the way work the other day. I think. Okay. No. I mean, he he worked average. I didn't. I didn't know if he was running or not it's he's just sending much better. But so now, so you're talking sparky Ville, much better. Call Paul Mu-chou and mind control. Yeah. Cuff rise tough race. You know? I mean. Call paula. He won the Swail. He wasn't cranked for it. The I guess he's trained very well for this race. "Racing director and. The most respected drek super in the in the game. That that's your. That's your starting point. So from there everything else that contributes you have to do exactly what was done in New York and. Effect real changes that address the issue as opposed to. Column b the Chinese menu of of reforms, quote unquote that are. You know being being thrown out there to create havoc. And that's exactly what they've done as opposed to coming at this with a the same rational. Why is this happening? And how did you know, what were the factors and how do we stop it? Instead, you know, you've got. You've got something that feels like it. It's. Just out of control and has no. You know has no rational direction just. Lots of. Lots of sound and fury. And that's why there's been any number. I think of very measured and. And highly appreciated. Presentations, including yesterday, what if you've been listening straight through from the replay, you you have to be still. Off wrinkly of Nick, lachey, and and his. Remarkable ability to. Layout. Series of thoughts that that. Comprised the response to. This situation, and and in particular, the from the animal welfare side of things. And I couldn't have been more. More pleased to have been able to get Nick on. And in addition to the you know, the do by recap. He had. He tweeted on Saturday that. I think Theresa Genero had. Tweeted a Peter. Soundbite or quote, and Nick. Riffed off of that. And so that's why that's why I brought that up, and he he was obviously, you could tell you thought about it extensively as he said the last couple of weeks and. Heard from so many people that. Appreciated? Dick's. Salient points similarly, J Humpty if you and I tweeted Jay's link the link to Jay's column he talks about the. The whip us and he brought Trevor Denman to the table because Trevor Denman has been warning about it for thirty years. And was viewed as a as a as a heretic when he when he first started talking about it that it was a lightning. Rod would be a lightning rod. So there have been there have been some sage profits on on a lot of these topics. But the Jay Jay's always got a calm and. Soothing. Way of of delivering messages. I I I don't want to acquaint it to Mary Poppins. Although I think I think. If I'm not mistaken, I think their daughter Julian and Jay's daughter may have may have been in Mary Poppins at summer. I think as it happened. The the rest of the morning, Brandon Walsh. Back from Dubai and the UAE derby victory for plus get Marseille one a here from Brendon Andy surly, our to they'll draw the Wood Memorial card tomorrow. And the wood is the would it'll be it'll be great. The bayshore. Is going to be tremendous Lucho. Mind control. Call paul. And now. Much better for Baffert Baffert is only sending one. That's man, not coming both been considered for either or the Bayshore and the wood and Baffert f- yesterday's workouts. All things go for game winner, but less happy it seems with Desmond. And so he's going to hold back with somebody's not sure what he's going to do next but much better will come for the sprint. And I'm wondering because there's a plane, obviously, if that's going to help Jeff Bondi. Ship sparky Bill because he wanted to come for the Bayshore. And if if sparky they'll shows up. The Bayshore war that that'll be unbelievable still about I think nine for the the Wood Memorial. And we still we also have to talk about. Got to talk about. Ben glasses terrific. Visit. I hope a lot of you appreciated is some some of the backstory on maximum security. And the dam that they basically gave away and and the stallion that they. That they shipped off Brazil take a quick break back after.

"That would just be my thinking 'cause I wouldn't necessarily want to come down here into Bob Baffert, Jerry, Holland or for territory at Santa Nita. And there's I don't think there's really any reason to have to go to Oakland. I mean, they could. But I that someone derby sitting there with that eight hundred thousand dollar person the derby points for that race, it would just seem to me to be a very good spot. So I'll be very interested to see if they have made a decision if I were to make the decision that's the race. That would really be at the top of my list to to go back to the dirt with another twin? Fate. Well, the timing. The timing would be quite good as you're looking at at March twenty fourth and your coming off of what February last Saturday was the sixteenth. So looking at twelve days, look, exactly six weeks, really so five and a half. Plus weeks have perfect. I would imagine. So. Yeah. So the timing is good. I think you know, it's not gonna be as scrums some of these other get derby racist. Like, I say like the Foudy youth is shaping up. And of course, the that the Florida derby will be salty down the line, and you know, the rebel and Arkansas derby, you're going to be very tough. I would imagine with million dollar purses. And and I say you come down here to Santa Anita. And I mean your face. You know, the eighteen from two of the most powerful Barnes that we have here in the Bob apper barn, Jerry, Hollander, burn. So to me that just seems to make sense. So we'll see what they decide to do whatever they decide to do. He's just, you know, an interesting coal because you know, king lease not exactly chopped liver. I mean, I know he's way down the list on Bob Baffert three-year-old ranks. But by the same token to just bury that or like he did. And I mean, you can only defeat the horses that you're running against. And I just I really did like the way he did it quite a bit. So he was very visually. Impressive to me. And. And I'm just excited for blaming. 'cause it sure is neat when we can get somebody like that on the Kentucky, Derby trail, that's for sure. Agree, and that that's part of the appeal, and we do get we do not only. Do we get it? We've had we've had a lot of successful. Kind of smaller names, and and you know, lower-profile successes on that front, and, you know, whether it's Barclay tag or John service at saturates. Already sherman. Exactly me. They're the perfect. It's it's funny. How how the derby can be an equaliser on that on that front. John, you know, a few of the the performances from the last really the last two weekends to touch on. And given that we were. We were on hand that both the h c and and fairgrounds last week some of the things that that went on including Marley's freedoms performance in the Santa Monica now, she's looking to get around to turns. It looks like for the beholder mile as target Baffert heading in that direction. We also actions related see the follow ups to platinum warriors. True valour and even sparky villas sparky Bill came up earlier this morning when mentioning that Desmond is going to run back on fairly short timing to that allowance unless Baffert the Vitas it possible that. Baffert after Desmond to help make that race go. I I suppose that that's a possibility with roadster on the comeback trail. You have to being as well. So wouldn't be the shock of the century. If we saw Desmond coming out on the other hand, it seems to me that this is a pretty good spot for Desmond, you know. Go to to turn for the first time in his career..

"Nikko? He was pretty disappointing. You know, I think he really looking for Nikko to rebound from that poor performance at Churchill Downs in the slob in the Kentucky jockey club. And it's just starting to make me wonder, you know, was he ever really that good or did he just gone wrong or or the trips not working out for him these last races? I'm not really sure. Yeah. And you mentioned last week two reservations about the Breeders Cup juvenile. And I think that just starts to add to it. I was willing to put a line through his racing Kentucky. I think it had a wide trip that day was drawn way outside and just didn't show up at all. He ran a little better this time. But certainly nothing like is Breeders Cup performance. And just not a whole lot of upside that I can see from here unless he can get a clear lead, which generally doesn't happen. If you stay on the Kentucky, Derby trail things only get tougher from here. Yeah. I don't wanna make it sound like I'm just knocking game-winner because I mean game wonders probably gonna come back and win both of his preparations pretty easily. Given where they're gonna run him that that's just the reality of it. But I mean, I think you do have to question a little bit the competition that he was facing last year. Just given the way that Knicks has come back, given the way the gun metal grey has come back and not really move forward, and perhaps taken a step backwards. Well-defined did come out of the Cup juvenile's. Well win this race. But I don't wanna put too much stock in horse. That was a non factor in a race like the Breeders Cup and elevate the the race because of that. So we'll see I'm not really sure where these orces stand moving forward because the performances have been all over the place. I think there will be some other words come into the Tampa Bay derby some allowance horses that will discuss and a little bit that'll make that that raise a little more interesting than this Davis was, but we'll see if these factors moving forward. The other race that I think we have to discuss just in terms of graded stakes events for three Roach. When the past weekend was the San Vicente out in California where Coliseum I think it's safe to say at this point. He's been exposed. Yeah. He was another one almost like so of I've I mean, I have no idea how you can make this worse. Three to five. He was twenty two to one in the derby future writer at the close of bedding. I mean, it just like boggles the mind. Yeah. I mean, I don't know that I'd want them at two hundred twenty two one. There's nothing to see here. I guess it's the Smith Baffert thing, and it's hard to fall people. I mean, they basically win everything out there. But this just goof off last time out he just didn't look competitive at all. And I didn't see much of the same. There's no I saw much of the same this time others there's no figures in our chart ship, but my assistant southern California. He did he know the winter sparky Ville is gonna get it'll be around the one oh nine which is solid. But I don't know that any of these are really derby horses. He looks like a sprinter. Good effort by him. He did get a little bit. Nice setup. The pace was pretty quick imagine. At least one of the fractions will be coded and read when when the figures make it to the charts. But other net is not a whole lot. That talk about here. I think we're looking more at sprinters than anything else. The one who is that. I do want to follow a little bit moving forward is actually Bob efforts other horse Desmond. Because within the context of the race. I'm not like you're saying, I'm not sure how strong this really is. But within the context of the race. I think he did run the best because he actually broke a little bit slower than Coliseum out of the gate and had to rush up to contest that pace. That was definitely a least honest, maybe fast. And I thought he battled back really gamely when sparky Bill came to him in the stretch. If you watched the forces crossing, the wires sparky Ville actually was lucky to just get his head in front of right at the finish. Because soon as they gallop out Desmond runs right ahead of that horse and gallops out ahead of them. He's got some pedigree to stretch out. He's by union rags? He's out of a damn that's a half smokin frog who want a bunch of route races on the dirt. So maybe he does better moving forward. You know, maybe he just like the wet track union rags to they seem to like sloppy tracks. I'm not really sure if he's that good just based on what he was. Facing in this race? But he's the one horse that I would be a little bit interested in moving forward. And for those familiar with our speed figures, we actually it's not just final time. We look at the pizzas. Well, and just looking at the worksheet I sent to my assistant there. I'm pretty sure he's going to get a higher speed figure than sparky Ville by pointer to just because of being a little bit closer to the peace battling up front of little bit more. So you know pointer to not a huge deal, but he would be the one to get to look at going forward out of here. All right. Well, those were the two graded stakes that run for three roles last weekend. But one of the most talked about races with actually I'm allowance race the took place at Gulfstream Park. We just mentioned how call him off at twenty to one of the derby future raider, actually, another horse who wasn't participating in graded stakes. Also went off at that price when they closed wagering for this round of the future wage, and that was global campaign who won his second start in. I believe the tenth race at Gulfstream on Saturday going Milena sixteenth. You know, what were your impressions of this performance because I got some feelings about this horse. I mean, it looked good visually. But you know, when I sat down to make the figures, and for the workout I gave them a higher figure than buyer when you of look at the two scales we use by good ten points. But it's still not that great. And you know, I get a lot of the people saying, well, you know, he was eased up Lii. And and while it's true. Maybe he could have run faster. He probably could have that doesn't necessarily translate the meaning he could run faster with a tougher trip. Which is almost sure to have next time. He comes. I mean, it doesn't get a whole lot easier. Nece he was three to five standard deviation. Look to be only real competition. And I wasn't overly impressed with that one coming in. He ran just okay, not not a horse. I'd won't go and forward being you know, Chad Brown, he's probably always going to take money. So that just definitely not blown away by this race. I'll be looking to bet against him wherever he shows up. Next. Yeah. I mean, I guess you're not going to get some of the hate mail that the buyer people get that speed bigger because it seems like people really love this horse. Yeah. I think the one oh seven to speed figure. It makes it makes enough sense. I I don't think how I don't see how you could go any higher than that. As you were saying just based on the fact that standard deviation was second. I mean while he did or net. Great one placing a two year old. He just never ran a really fast race. Maybe these horses are improving at this time of year. But you look at the third place finisher to actually another son of curl. And it's funny. If you look at the top finishers in this race there all by curl out of Apia delined dams. I guess they're all print run all day. And that's one of the reasons that people are so excited global campaign because he's got his pedigree, the half dible Doro. He's just bred to get the classic distances. But you know, it's hard to justify based on the time speed figure being anywhere close to exceptional. He's going to have to run a lot faster to be competitive in the graded stakes races. That are going to be running. Or he's going to have to earn his points to get into races. Like, the Kentucky Derby, and I've seen some people talking about comparison to the slower allowance race that always dreaming grand before he won the Florida derby. But I think there are some major distinctions to make before you kind of condone a comparison like that because always dreaming Reynolds low-speed figure because he set a ridiculously slow pace something you can't do on dirt and earn a fast speed figure. They went the half and like fifty one this report is one sixteen when he won that allowance race, which just ludicrous. If you're trying to run a fast final time, it's impossible. Global campaign Seddon on his pace he was sort of geared down at the end. But like you were saying, I don't think he could have run that much faster. I didn't like that standard deviation who had been in a drive for threes of a mile was getting him at the end of that race. Even though he was kind of the winner was being eased up under the wire. Yeah. I don't really buy into the back that he's that. He's run a lot faster. And to me this worst does a lot to prove. And if he's gonna get bed the way, he wasn't this feature worshiping forward. I've got to be against him in the future. Yeah. And I'm with you. And especially when I look at a horse who I think we're going to talk about next dream maker who won an allowance rates at the fairgrounds, which I personally thought was way more impressive than global campaigns. And I haven't heard a whole lot about this. He got a one thirteen from me in his first rate since back in October. But he just looked really good doing it. He was wide throughout the race. Especially on the first turn, which is usually a tough trip to overcome. He showed he's able to rate. And if you just gave me these two courses and said you had to pick one next. I would take dream maker every time I am totally on the same page issue. I had not even really been aware that this horse was returning. I didn't I didn't notice this race ahead of time. It was just kind of combing through some of the charts to talk about for the podcast and I noticed this race. And I remember this horse from last year at Saratoga. I think he read in the hopeful. And there's a lot of hype around him. I think he was originally got around the Saratoga special before they changed course. Maybe there was. Setback or something. But I remember Mark Cassie had really liked this horse. There was a lot of hype around him. The hopeful didn't play to his running style because dominated on the front end. And if you watch his Futurity from last year, his final starts Chiro. He just got completely eliminated at the start of a slam between horses had to steady really badly. And just in that thirteen Horsfield or whatever it was. He had no chance after that. So his two year old campaign was just kind of a bust, but they had really liked this horse. And I thought the same thing you did. I love the way he was powering the stretch at the fairgrounds in this race. You know, he was up stalking pace that you know, it wasn't slow, but it was honest enough. And I think it's worth noting the torture finish second and third. They came from last and second last I mean, it was a pace that pretty much fell apart behind this horse. And I mean, he finished up really strongly over track seemed pretty dead at the fairgrounds that one thirteen time former SP figuring what stacks up very well against some of these great stakes horses at this time of year. And he's got an awesome, pedigree that second beautiful pleasure. She was a champion back. In the late nineties. I think this one's got some real potential. Am excited to see where it goes from here these horses actually global campaign and maker they might meet up next in the Tampa Bay derby because given the way the timing works. I think Marquette even mentioned that raises a potential target. So it'll be interesting to see if we get to compare these horses in the future. Yeah. Well, I think we have risen star's obviously too too soon. That's next week. So yeah. Hopefully, that would be I like that as a better, you know, you always wanna see if you can validate your opinion at the window. Yeah. Well, that was the three world cult action. But there was a pretty exciting three year old filly in action at santee on Saturday, and that was Bill FINA, and she was super impressive and her return going seven furlongs at Santa Anita last month. I was really impressed by race. And I believe she got pretty high speed figure for that performance. She came back and stretch down to a mile in the Las Virginis, and she wasn't quite as visually. Impressive speed dropped off a little bit. What were your impressions of the race? Because I know some people came away a little disappointed. I thought it was just what she needed to be honest. I I wasn't blown away. But I didn't have a problem with the race. I mean, she won pretty easy. I was pretty impressed with the runner up. I think she's a horse. I'm going to guess at how you pronounce it L RAB. I don't know if that's right or not. I should've watched a replay. And seem would Frank said, but. Yes, she's an improving horse. So either one of those two going forward I like maybe at the longer distance next time, if they meet up, I might go the other way just based on price. But I think it's too promising Phillies there to both Trine by sharp guy. So I wouldn't be surprised to see both of those two in the starting gate for the oaks. I was probably a little bit too hard on this horse. When I I watched the race. Because initially I mean, she was what I think she was one to nine. It just seems a little disappointing that she had to really got out the victory of win by a little bit less than a length. In retrospect, you know, she did have a she did dole. With mother mother on the far turn. I doubt the pace was color coded ran. But you know. Yeah. They were going an honest cliff are walking on the front end and she did put mother-mother away. And like you said the runner up is a horse that could be improving seems like a horse that's gonna get better with distance. And that might be what's happening. My thing with Bill. Athena, is she's obviously very talented. I just get the sense that she's really just naturally fast horse. She's a horse that in the future is probably going to be best going like seven furlongs. Maybe like a one turn mile in the corn. I'm not yet convinced that she's really Kentucky oaks kind of horse. I don't know if she's going to want the to turn mile on an eighth. I know she's like this bigger impressive billion people just generally think that would get more distance and she's bread to do it, I suppose, but just give them what I've seen of her. I've seen so much brilliance in sprint races. And just not quite the same level

"Ninety buyer in the Las virgin sounds like the top two. They will have another date on April the sixth and Senate oaks now that wraps up these two big reviews, it will do Nell throat into the quits stakes. Montage, we'll go through a number of different races. You've got San Marcos out at Santa Nita. You get the endeavored down at Tampa. Tampa Bay down at Tampa, the Suncoast you got all sorts of good stuff in there. So we'll go through will rip through the stakes. Montage. I'll come back with some quick hits. We'll get you into the weekends. Best force Beyer. Speed figure performances are concerned. Lead at the top of the stretch and quickly opens up to on Roman. Russell unapologetic had a good trip on the far outside comes beach, view and dab. Stor epochal is coming alive in the center. But in the meantime, platinum or your has a four link lead epochal is closing stoutly beach view on the outside with a late bed. It's going to a platinum warrior to win the San Marcos Epoca was second special event is backpedalled after that mitt race move as valedictorian tries to do it. Every step of mild ago, valedictorian by three and a half in high gear, but running ground peach of a gals now third vagabond Princess van that's up front valedictorian. She at all the way valedictorian Gaito wire to win this one. I'd open as they fanned across that trek along the heart Dardis taking in game Ray Irish straight, his third leader second. Here's inspector Linley. Ortiz works at a toward the rail and up on the outside with a late run. Is diverse Darrow and on the outside. Here comes in a blanket finish out again going after the leader second buddy arch is there toward the rail now racing on third they straightened away in the render the way it's conquest. Hard candy Stellan, here's Oxmoor charging down the center of the racetrack and way on the outside the Vegas that gray horses. Absolutely fine. Huck s'more take it by diminishing three. They'll cut loose at the top of the stretch up to engage Ken with a furlong left ago. Just behind them river Boyne trying to negotiate a very narrow holy and get through and on the outside. True. Valour driving finish Ohio. True valour in the Ken fights on true valour takes the lead. And it's true valour. And Andrea said he told win it from the inside of biding star. Mister Cobb needs out. He gets out. He's up about a challenge for the laid down the center from last. It's every finally of a mile be tries to hold them off here. Henry done center. Mr. cub from between, horses and minutes. Cramps and tape stretch Henry from way back up in time. Second, mr. Continues to grind away third and they straight away and cut to the Meyer in the Suncoast up on the outside point of honor explodes. And now moves to the me along the lady Kate but point of on her in front impressively under heavy air Castellano by widening three lady Kate was seconds week. Diane third winning envelope. We'll try to keep pace with them. But desperate has the upper hand coming to the eighth bull drifts in opens up to sparky. Bill switches to the outside. He's running a giant rates. Dennis sparky Bill. These are the two definite digging sparky bills trying to run him down. Sparky Bill has the momentum desperate as the leave. Sparky gets up to win the same vicinity in a thriller. Desmond thought. In front splashy kisses. There's room at the rail for patchy Princess, and she takes off a patchy Princess quickly puts two links on thriving and splashy kisses. The disarma- brothers will strike in the suite life stakes as patchy Princess is very impressive in victory. She strolls in by three and a half. It's an extremely quick some quick thoughts. Then we'll go into the buyers which the dwarf TV schedule of events, and then we'll get outta here. We'll get you on your way to some quick rips, San Marcos finance for from the top two finishers, platinum Maurier epical, even if you want to include beach, you there third I think the horse that you're most interested in or you should be most interested in coming out of that race from a trip standpoint is Chicago style who never got a chance to run at the top of the lane stacked up behind horses. Finally got a little bit of room late, but it was far too late. Then I thought he he's the one that to me out of that race that you want to give another opportunity to nothing anything from the top two or. Three. I think they all ran quite well thunder road the obvious trip for river Boyne. There's just a part of me though, that looks at. I don't even if he gets through is he really that much better than everyone else from a number standpoint. He's not and I maybe he wins that race. Maybe he doesn't. But if he wins. I don't think he wins by four put it that way. I think he's a nice horse. I just I have a difficult time seeing him as a grade one caliber miler, I think he is sort of living in that range along again, you look look at the horses that were there at the wire, I think that's kind of where he lives right now. Let's he takes that next up forward. I'm not sure that he can run with the best milers. Maybe he would have been best in their if not for the trip, but at the same time, I don't know for certain that he would have been river valedictorian. She absolutely walked the dog in the front end. You like the downgrade that effort a little bit just because of the pace dynamics. On the flipside you'd likely want to give rim ska a little bit of the benefit of the doubt. But to be Frank. I said it when I did the Tampa pick for video if she were to go there. I'm not. Totally sure how good she actually thinks. She's fine. Don't get me wrong. But I don't think she's great one raid. Two caliber, I think she belongs in these races. The figure kinda bear that out. But again, it's very difficult to earn a fest figures for his buyers concern, given a lack of pace going to be difficult for fast final time. I just again, I'm not sold on her better worse against that level with a better pay situation. She can certainly get the job done. I don't know if she's still grade one caliber, the L pro wicked pace helped the horses come from way off cowboy culture of force to wait a little bit before he was able to be produced. He came out with a little bit of a belated bid finish fourth the horse that I absolutely didn't run a lick or never got a chance to run. And I don't know that he would have been a threaten this race. I don't know if he's good enough. But he is the kind of horse that in a little bit of an easier. Spot holiday stone had zero chance go back and watch that tape you can wash the stretch run. He's down there on the inside and those orange and pink silks and he legitimately has nowhere to go. He can't run one. One step at all. He's one that. I think you want to keep an eye on because I wouldn't be crazy. I don't think to see him show up in a non stakes event next time out, but he still might offer a decent price because that running line at face value. If you don't see the trip is gonna look dreadful can ever picked his feet up. He didn't. But for reason, I think he's one that you just at least wanna throw in your force watch one. Keep an eye on going forward base stakes. I don't know that heart can run anymore. He's the kind of horse that in his best form. He would accounted that field given the trip. I only went faster early. But this is hard to heartens is his game. You saw how eager was done the frontside. I just makes me wonder if he's lost a fair amount on that fast. Ball inspector Linley shot up the rail. It was a perfect trip for him saving every of ground the entire way in the pocket. Then he's able to go through down the inside again from a trip standpoint, you probably want downgrade him slightly on like you're gonna work out an ideal trip again, you're next, but the sun coast, I tweeted about it. I'm quite high on point of honor. I thought that was very impressed. Effort from her I'll beat likely on the best part of the race track. As opposed to the Philly that ran second. They're lady Kate. She ended up down on the inside to maybe her effort could have been slightly better. Had she been out on a more favorable portion of the track. But I really was impressed with point of honor will find out alternately where she goes. I think she's a solid one. And I think she could be illegitimate three year old filly here. She's one that we may may still hear some things from her may may I don't know that I wanna go as far as to pin anything on anyone boy early on if I could take a future bet on a horse for a race. Like the oaks, I wouldn't be opposed to taking a look at her. I think point of honors nice Santa Sunday sloppy track. Obviously wanna take everything with the grain of salt, especially in southern California. The fact that sparked Bill was able to overcome being down the inside having to steady at the top of the lane sharply-angled out four five path and still going rundown. Desmond it makes me think that that field. Just is not very good spark villas, a nice horse. But I don't know that. Anyone is looking at him saying he's going to end up being a grade one caliber sprinter Coliseum was disappointing. Again, Desmond thought I thought he ran find. You gotta beat spark Ville, given the trip and sparked feel head. Left something to be desired there and sweet life a beautiful trip for patchy Princess, great ride from Kent. Oh, she's able to shoot up the inside. Like, I said with all those Santini racists on on Sunday with that rain. You gotta just take it all with a little bit of a grain of salt because some of those horses some of them never even seen a wet track before so take all those a little bit of a grain of salt. But perfect trip for Apache Princess, and again, perhaps, you know, usually you don't wanna be betting perfect trip horses back in their next race. But there are different circumstances. Just something to keep an eye on. So there you have some quick hit some quick thoughts from the stakes. Montage this week sick. A look at the weekends best. From a buyer standpoint will go right in order, the three year old males sparky villain, Desmond disarm ninety four buyers at face value. It looks good. I just again, I have a difficult time looking at that saying how how good could that feel be spark Ville, really no business winning that race unless he's just completely turned corner. And now he's turned into a. Potential star who knows three-year-old Phillies under Bella FINA. We talked about her she on ninety in the Las virgins three year old males on grass valid point in eighty one in a maiden special Gulfstream three year old Phillies on turf clause in eighty two in a maiden special weight down at Gulfstream older males on dirt heavy roller a ninety nine in an allowance at Oakland older fillies and mares bluegrass jamboree ninety five an one x the big a older males on grass inspector Linley. We saw that with the one on one buyer in the Tampa Bay steaks, and then older fillies mayors on turf hawks more than ninety five in the endeavor. Don, Tampa there you have two weekends best as far as Beyer. Speed figure performance are concerned the quick look at what's on deck this week for Diaw TV. You're gonna have plenty of stakes previews you've got the risen star coming up on Saturday afternoon. That is a Kentucky Derby points race. Big fulfilled should be a good race good betting races. Well, you'll have steaks preview. Derrick Betts races the day. You'll have added the gate. You'll have the preview dishes of the map Bernier show. You have number different. Things. "They're gonna be out well off the rail just because that's that's the MO at low Salvatori rarely DC horses down on the inside. It's gonna take some token. From this to horse. We're going to fast forward slightly here on the far turn he's moving very very easily, very sweetly and kind of at this point. It started to make me think that okay, we might have something here they paid over six hundred thousand dollars for this horse ears are up. He's loving life. Everyone else is starting to feel a little bit of pressure. Particularly that two-horse then again about five off the real Turnham for home. When Joe Talamo asks him to go, he extended levels off nicely and finish his very very well when I look at this horse. I see that pedigree. And I think okay. Well, maybe maybe distance is really what he wants. When I watched this replay. Especially with the gal about gal solid. I don't think it was outstanding. But I do wonder maybe he is going to be sort of a one turn type, and it's too early to tell only race once and we'll find out what we get here off this little bit of a layoff haven't seen him since the middle of September UC's geared down at the wire. I thought it was very impressive effort and again Baffert first time star two year old who's bet down even money. He was supposed to do. Well, gal out Saal. Did to me. He's the other horse in this race. If I like, the two horse. I kinda have to look at this one and say mutual Gosto to me he is the alternate. He's the alternative is the horse that I want running in second the four horse savagery and the number six horse sparky field. They both come out of that sunny slope. Now, we did that racist preview. I went over. I thought savagery was going to be loose on the front end. And that didn't quite work out that way or didn't play out quite that way. We're gonna take a look here at this race. Then again, you can find this replay over on YouTube. You can also find this inform you later, and again, that's where I would suggest you find all your replaced. But again, just for this exercise makes it a little bit easier. When I pull up different things, you're gonna see savage on the far outside, and you're gonna have the number three horse in this race anyway, sparking Ville sparky Bill actually outbreaks him here in these green silks on the far outside in those Rockingham. So that's where you've got savagery now savage is eventually going to go up and pushed the pace he's gonna be about a head off this thing throughout but really the thing. I'm most interested in taking. Look at the three horse gonna be under a pretty snug. Hold from Gary Stevens, give it a moment. Give it a moment. He doesn't want this horse to go. Just yet. He's got to fistful of dynamite. He's saying not yet. We've got some time coming around the far turn they're going to really continue to pick things up and for a moment here. It looks like the five savagery is just in cruise control. He's going off win for fun. I love what Stevens does get them out of the clear. Sparky Ville sets him down and takes dead aim now. Keep in mind the other thing about this race. And we'll take a look at it. When I pulled the PP's up again savagery had just most recently broken. His maiden was infra sixty two thousand five hundred dollar tag. He was taking winters for the first time, and he's getting back into really legitimate quality, the horse sparky Ville some of the horses. He had been facing. They were ten times the ability the horses that he faced here in this restricted, sunny slope stakes you're gonna see just briefly with Gallup out, everything looks good savagery actually out Gallup them..
