Young Europeans' Resistance to Rules Fuel Fears of Virus Resurgence

"For months Europe was under a lockdown during the pandemic borders were closed people stayed home and the number of corona virus cases plummeted. Now restrictions are lifting and in some places, cases are rising especially among young adults. The Wall Street Journal's boy on Pinch. Husky is covering the story from Berlin. Hey, there boy on hi there. Hello and boy on. We're seeing arising cases in Europe. Especially among young people, why is this happening? Yeah. We'll see markets been six almost six months of this pandemic and people and especially young people seem to be growing tired of the measures right? I mean they. Of course, they know what measures are. I think at some point old them have respected the measures as much as they could. But now you see sort of a widespread. Fatigue with with the restrictions and people you know are just kind of eager to get on with things. What happens here in Berlin is impacting park where Around the corner from where I live you pretty much have almost every night a legal of mass party of ranging from dozens to hundreds of young people. In, their teens or in their early twenties who kind of congregate with kind of music you know they have this Internet speakers and they play their own music and they bring their own booze and and some of them bring their own drugs. And they have these parties because the clubs are closed and Berlin is famous for its club scene is one of the sort of landmarks of the city. Really. It's one of the tourist attractions of the German capital the. Nightlife and it's all shutdown. It's been shut down since March? and. I guess young people have found a way to kind of circumvent that. And, that's also true of other cities in Germany. You know you have more or less clandestine parties some of them are not that. They take place Frankford the couple of weeks ago there was A. Big Impromptu Party. On in a central square and to the point where the police had to intervene, and there was some sort of altercation people throwing bottles at the police and so on. So we have parties taking place. We also have travel opening up across the E U people can move once again. Is. That also play a role. Well, yes authorities have said medical authorities in several countries including Germany hap- said that serve her the reopening of the border some the continent than the serve. The restarting starring of the season has played a role in the rise of the number of cases and spread of the infection. Essentially, quite quite a few of the small outbreaks in Germany. Now are said by the authorities to be due to people coming back from tourist hotspots such as Spain and bringing the virus with them and then infecting their communities. So definitely, there has been a factor I mean, if you look at Greece and Croatia to and Spain. Three countries that have major tourism industries all of them had the very low level of infection until July, when when tourism, kind of re started and all them are reporting. An uptaken figures to various degrees. G-GREE-GREECE has a smaller uptake but but Spain has a huge uptake. Angry show was down two zero before the tourist season started, and now now they also are struggling with with a resurgence of of the infection.

‘Tenet’ Rollout Set: 70 Countries to Begin Opening by End of August, Followed by U.S. Over Labor Day Weekend

"What is the latest if I may ask on movies? So the latest update is that tenant is going to come out at the end of August worldwide but not in America because we haven't earned it yet, and because all the other countries across the globe have become much safer and have gotten to places where they can get bigger crowds into place like a movie theater. And we just jump in in there. Just a quick second. Do you know what countries have theaters open by country? Just about all of them, I think I think the plan is that it's going to go to seventy countries on the opening weekend situation and then the goal is for it to open in basically whatever theaters can take it in America on Labor Day weekend. According, according to the. Twitter posts that you met re tweeted it says that the territory's will include Australia, Canada France Germany Italy Japan Korea Russia Spain and the UK. And then that'll keep growing out from there. I think China's on the list to and. Yeah, and then Labor Day weekend it should come to America and there's a lot of people talking about like, oh well, how will they decide what theaters and what cities are going to get ten like it right now they're saying like select theaters will get it in America, but that's not gonNA. Happen. To like these are still one-third filled auditoriums If you have a wall and can protect tended onto it, you will get ten because they got. They're just GONNA like try to put this ever I bet you drive we'll get it. I bet you anywhere that can get tenant and make money off of it. They will give you ten at this point I imagine 'cause they can't. They can't hold on much longer, right? No, and they're not going to have New York L. A. Most likely when it comes out because those cities are still those those cities are still kind of locked down especially in group numbers. So they're gonna put it anywhere so. And at this point I don't think they can delay it anymore I think if they do it again, everyone's just going to be like just laugh. So can have a collective mental breakdown. So it's Technically Labor Day. New Movies. Or at least new movie singular well, new. New movie move. New Movie Labor Day Wins Labor Day not for a month.

Solar Orbiter Snaps Closest Pictures Ever of the Sun – Reveals New “Campfires” Phenomena

"With summer here. Most of the news about our home star. The sun most likely will involve sunscreen right And that's something we should all be paying attention to. But scientists are also paying close attention to the surface of the sun, because despite it being so ever present, we still have a lot to learn about the sun. And they have just announced that the solar orbiter a satellite orbiting the sun has just sent back Some photos of surprising events on the sun's surface. Here to talk to us about these new images is Aneke to Groove instrument operation scientists for these solar orbiter she's based in Madrid, Spain, and joins us today. By Skype. Welcome to science Friday. No, I believe that these are the closest direct images of the sun's surface. Is that right? That's correcting the There has never being cameras actually observing the sum from that close, So we have had satellites going closer, but never with images never with telescopes. So tell us this being a radio program when you looked at those images. What air So what was that surprising thing you saw on the surface of the sun? Well, so first. We were really excited to see these first images because these are really the very first day that we got from the satellite. S so it's even just test images still, but we could already see new features. So about what we saw, Mamie was in the B imager. So that is a telescope that is looking at the Somme in extreme ultraviolet light. You cannot see that from worth because the atmosphere is blocking it. But we can see it from space. And so there you see part of the atmosphere that some the solar Corona and that atmosphere is currently very quiet. There's not that much activity on the sun. But now it turned out when we're resuming in that we see very little eruptions, which are much, much smaller than the ones we can usually see. And so this was quite a surprise because we have never seen these features before. And they were called campfires. If I'm reading this correctly, yes, because indeed they looked like this little flashes or flames off off light on DH. Actually, they they look like the many, many brothers ofthe solar flares and solar flares are much bigger eruptions off. Off radiation from the sun, and sometimes they also cause clouds ofthe solar plus muscle solar material That leaves the sun and so this thing to be And micro thin air. So to state so very small eruptions. That's kinda interesting. Do we know anything about Thies? Small eruptions? Ah, and how do we study these further? Well, so that's one of the strength ofthe solar orbiter that he does not only have these camera either has many different telescopes in total six, which will all observe the son of different wavelengths, so you see slightly different temperatures on the sun and slightly different lives. So the next bit will be to analyze these new features. In all those different types of light tto find out what exactly is happen and then we also have sensors which are measuring the environment on the spacecraft. And they can see what's actually coming out of the sun. So the effects ofthe these little activity on the environment of the sun and later also on Earth. So tell me, though, What mysteries you are most interested in and finding out more. About what? What keeps you up at night? Well, One thing that we are really excited about is that Salaam better will also look at the solar poles. So the North Pole and this house full of the sun, and we have never ever seen this before. We also don't know whether there's any activity going on there or how to some structure at these north and South pole, and this is important to wonder. Somehow, all these activity hurts. Because the sun has an activity cycles. It's not always as active. It has times several years where it's quite quiet, which is now the period we are in now and then we expect in two or three years from now there will be more solar activity. There will be some what we call solar storms. So this is the time when the sun is very exit, and then it will go back to a quieter stage. And we don't really honest that how that works, and we think that one of the keys Lie with the solar poles. So that's the part I'm most excited about. You know, I never thought about the sun having polls. I know that the Earth has polls. What creates the poles on the sun? Also, when I talk about poles, I talk mainly about the magnetic poles. So the son has a magnetic field while the earth magnetic things one me the North Pole and assess full But on the sonnets are much more complicated because there's magnetic field gets completely tangled. And this is actually what causes the activity and what causes this cycle in food.

China says it will retaliate after US orders its Houston consulate to close

"With the Chinese. Let's deal with the hacking situation and the story that broke yesterday and even before this, we had heard that the Chinese were actively trying to steal intellectual property on Research for a Corona virus vaccine and it comes down to the Chinese know that this virus originated in Wuhan. The Chinese know that they misled the world. They misled the United States they misled. Originally, the World Health Organisation, which has become complicity with the Chinese. On multiple levels and the Chinese did a disservice to humanity. Let's look at it through the prism and the lenses of us here in the United States. That if they would have let us know in December Or early January what they knew and if the Chinese would have locked down Wuhan sooner, even just a week sooner. They didn't tell their own people between January 14th in the 21st and there was a massive spread and rule on at that point. They don't even tell their own people or they didn't move to lock things down. And again the Chinese Communist government completely to blame here for mishandling and mismanaging and lying to the world. And with that said the Chinese don't want Toby. Shown up that they don't want to be behind the eight ball. They want to also be the ones that say, Hey, we've got the best vaccine against Corona virus. Instead of all of the other pharmaceutical and research and institutions around the world that are working diligently and feverishly. On a vaccine whether it's German scientists whether it's French, whether it's what we're hearing out of Oxford in the UK Fizer here in the United States and, of course, their branches all around the world, Moderna. You know, that's just a fraction of who's working. Johnson and Johnson here in the United States is just a fraction of who's working on this vaccine. And the Chinese were we heard this two months ago. I talked about this on the program months ago that the Chinese were tryingto hack and steal data from all over the world so they could be first. Was saying, Hey, we got the vaccine. And now we have two Chinese hackers that have been formally charged with trying to steal research on the Corona virus vaccine. Trying to steal from private companies trying to steal from our government agencies as well. And this is what came down from the DOJ yesterday. And these two guys apparently work that the Chinese Ministry of State Security and the Gwang Dong State Security Department To lead a campaign, which the DOJ the assistant attorney General, John Demmer said was a sweeping global computer intrusion campaign. That's the nice way to say hacking intellectual property theft just going in and stealing. Chinese are very, very good at this. That's why they've gotten so far militarily. From a industrial standpoint, they stolen countless countless hundreds of billions or trillions. An intellectual property. Lee. Zhou Yu, 34 years old and dung. Jeez, I got zero J A Z a shot. G, uh 31. According to the reports, they targeted intellectual property and confidential business information. Held by Pharmaceutical companies and those that are steaming full speed ahead toward a corona virus treatment. Treatments. So the therapeutics the testing issues, the vaccines they were trying to rip off and bust into everything. And this is what the Chinese have done again. Defense contractors. Why do you think the latest generation of the Chinese fighter jet looks just like the F 35 Because they ripped off was the Lockheed Martin or north of Groman. They They controlled her back in the late to thousands like 8 4009 And they stole a whole lot of defence information on the F 35 ripped it off. So it's defense contractors. They rip off the pharmaceutical companies. A computer high tech medical device companies. The Chinese even have a history of busting into solar energy companies here in the United States video game development They're ripping off information. They're stealing codes. It's nonstop on what the Chinese do their absolute thieves. When it comes to intellectual property. According to the indictment. These malicious cyber activities began more than 10 years ago. And were ongoing as of the date of the indictment, according to AA de MERS. During that time, the hackers stole terabytes of data from hundreds of targets. Establishing themselves as a prolific threat to the U. S and foreign networks. And these charges from the feds. They say that these Chinese hackers tried to access the accounts of other organizations that we're not government organizations. They tried to bust also into dissident organizations or actual dissidents or clergy, human rights activists. Is it trying to get Intel and so they can punish and and go after anything that's a threat to the Chinese Communist. Regime. That's what this comes down to. Yeah, Lee and Dung they were working on high tech companies. That was their focus, but they had a whole team. They work of others, obviously, but Lee and Dung they were, they were focused on busting into high tech companies here in the United States, also in South Korea, and Sweden and Spain, Australia, Belgium, Britain. Germany, Japan, Lithuania Nothing about a stony and Latvia. But Lithuania and these indictments were filed in U. S District Court in Washington. And shows that Beijing is using fight cyber theft. In a worldwide campaign. To quote Robbe replicate and replace non Chinese companies in the global marketplace. And then there's also said that China is providing the safe haven for these criminals in order for the Chinese government to get all this information that these guys were Pretty much on the Chinese kami payroll. China has not taken its place alongside Russia, Iran and North Korea in that shameful club of nations that provide a safe haven for cyber criminals to exchange or in exchange for those criminals being on call toe work for the benefit of the state. Again to feed the Chinese Communist Party's insatiable hunger. For American and other non Chinese companies. And to steal their hard earned intellectual property, including covert 19 research, according to Des Murs, assistant attorney general It's a huge problem it has been, and that's why the Chinese are as far as they are. So on the heels of that now we go to the next chapter. And that's that the Chinese consulate in Houston, Texas, has been ordered closed and, you know he's got his finger on this pulse and is spot on and is not a great job and doesn't pull punches. Mince words. And that's Florida Republican Senator Marco Rubio. He gets and has gotten the Chinese threat for a very long time. And what Marco Rubio said today in Fox Business interview is that the Chinese Consulate in Houston is a front for a massive spy organization. And the State Department has ordered that consulate in Houston. To shut down, he said. This consulate is basically a front. It's kind of the central node of a massive spy operation. Commercial espionage, defense espionage. Also influence agents try to influence Congress, according to Marco Rubio. And by the way, Senator Rubio is the acting chair of the Senate Intelligence Committee. And he said that this closure of the Houston Chinese consulate was long overdue. And he said the State Department Was completely right Team make this move, and the State Department says that this is absolutely necessary to protect intellectual property here in the United States and private information. And of course, the Chinese. They're going ballistic. They're saying that they could retaliate. That this is uncalled for. This is a gray GIs. We could retaliate. China China When you get there, try to get you to send another virus our way. Is that how you going to retaliate? And Rubio also predicted that China Would then retaliate by closing one of our diplomatic facilities. In China. And if you wanna get a snapshot of what we have in China, Of course, we have the official U. S embassy in Beijing, but we have five consulates around China. We have a consulate in Shanghai. We have a U. S consulate in Gwang Ju. We have a U. S consulate and Cheng do and Wuhan Great and in Shenyang, So we have apparently five other Consulates. On top of our embassy. So the expectation is the Chinese going to retaliate by shutting down one of our places. Hey, what about this fire? What about the Houston Fire Department being called to this embassy or this consulate? Has to shut down by end of business like 45 o'clock on Friday. So the Chinese have to shut this thing down and get out by the end of this week. By Friday afternoon, And last night, there was a fire at the embassy Smoke and Houston Fire department responded. What do you think happened? Where was the fire? What were they doing? Hold on to that thought, because we'll wrap up this whole story with that next. Here on Schmidt, I

There is my special guest for this episode. Yes she's been on the show before a friend of the PODCAST. Spain travel consultant Karen Rosenbloom. Which we don't really need to go into. We all know what I'm talking about. So what Karen decided to do was create a special week long event in her wonderful facebook community called Travel Spain where she's been holding her own. Patio Festival Patio. "But I wouldn't do that talking to Tim Kirkman at Spain and fit Sarah Spain and Jason Fitz won't wanna get of course, to the other people who were inducted, but looking at the very small relatively percentage for bonds, you know, to to to go up, and and what we've said before about how much you need to. Increase year by year in order to make it feel like there's a likelihood you're getting in does this sort of tell you that without a total sea change in public opinion over the next three years. Those guys aren't getting in the that's what I see from today. Now, things can change cheap mind. Edgar Martinez started at twenty five percent and ended at eighty five percent. So you can make push. But there's no baggage with Edgar like there are like there is what those other steroid guys. So in the end, it's a very tricky situation. But to make up sixteen percent of the vote in three years is very hard to do. And there is still a large faction of voters who say if you have a connection to PD's, no matter who you are. You're not getting so Tim when you look at this hall of fame class aside for Mariano getting one hundred percent of the vote. What else stands out to your mind that history will remember to make this particular class special? Well, Mike Messina should have been in his first year eligible for me pitches entire career in steroid era. He pitches entire career the American. League East a D H league. He pitched two-thirds of his games that tiny little ballpark in Baltimore and still one to seventy games with a winning percentage that only ten guys have ever matched with that many wins. That's how great he was one of the smartest players have been around and ROY halladay to go in on the first ballot. I thought was wonderful again over two hundred wins with a winning percentage that high like ten other guys have done that also and one of the great BULLDOGS ever. I wrote the story it's on dot com now, but they were gonna take him out of the game after eight innings, and no one takes ROY halladay out because he wants to finish and nobody wants to finish anymore. But he did so Charlie manual and rich dooby the pitching coach and the manager had their hands out to shake his hand and say, thanks for a great eight innings. We're going to bring Brad lidge in and Halliday walks. Right by them does not even acknowledge that. They're they're not one word said, there's no confrontation. There is not an argument and. Rich dooby looked at Charlie. It's a well. I'm not taking about. I'm not taking them out. So they let him pitch the ninth because they had so much respect. "Teams fighting each other and one coach bringing everyone together next Spain Spain and Fitz on ESPN radio. Spain and Fitz. What's there? Don't always get along. Maybe we usually get along. We don't always get along. But I'm glad to know that we're better teammates than the blues. Are that's all I'm saying it doesn't take much the Saint Louis blues. And I don't know if everybody's seeing this video at this point. But the blues did something we don't see very often in hockey, particularly they went at it and practice, and when I say they went at it. I can't stress enough like they brawled in practically they give you the sort of practice fight that would make an entire arena. Go nuts. It was a full on full-fledged battle of a fight. I mean fisticuffs that I haven't seen in a long time in a fight for the blues during practice. Yeah. And it, and you could tell it had the same passion and stupidity of a game fight because there was a lot of barehanded punching of helmets. If you're in practice, and you want to and you wanna fight your teammate. And there's any Monica restraint that still within you. You're gonna stop punching him in the helmet with your bare hand, but if you've lost it entirely, which it's very clear these gentlemen did. You're just gonna keep wailing on that helmet. Even as you feel your hands starting to swell and Zach Sanford, and Robert bore two'social clearly not big fans of each other right now. Well, and you know, I think it's a little bit of the frustration from a terrible season for St Louis. Oh, yeah. Oiling over and you reach a point where they always say the training camp. You just wanna hit somebody else in the NFL? And I think there's a point me in the NHL where you just wanna hit everybody when you've lost eight of eleven you're sick of hitting other teams. You wanna hit each other? And I can't blame the emotion. I love the fact that they care so much about where it's going, but that's probably the wrong way to work it out. Right. Like, you're the you're not gonna make your team better through all of it. We I mean, we can argue about what leadership is but. We certainly know it's not knocking the snot out of one of your teammates during a practice. Right. And we do a lot of trying to use revisionist history on stuff like this. Or at least try to put a spin on it. Maybe it will give them the spark. They're looking for right. And that sometimes happens in a game when a guy engages with an opposing player, I don't know if we have much precedent for dudes fighting each other in practice, and then finding a coup by balance that propels them to victory. Well, the pools are also trying to find Coon by balancing. And I'm not sure where this comes from. I thought it was a, you know, this is the modern MBA that we live in with all the petty after the king's just whooped up on them. I love the quote, apparently as they were walking off the court one of the king's players was heard saying. Uh-huh. Another two and a half practice for them tomorrow. Half hour practice. Yeah. Yeah. Looking up at the score. I mean, this is this is where we are. And that's after a one hundred eighty nine law. So things are gotten better. I mean one away and eighty nine that's better. Right. No. No, no. That's that's doesn't doesn't help. At all. I'm more in just intrigued by the Jim Boylan quotes their new head coach not interim potentially already installed for next year. Although I think they're still chances that goes so far south that it doesn't happen Doris Burks that is much about question. Whether he'll be around next year after the start to his tenure..

"Line. It's Alex bregman you in Cleveland? Houston in Cleveland gave us basically seven game series threw out this season. You guys want it for three. How much does a matchup with another team that you've seen seven times during the season? How much does that change when you get to the postseason. The changes a lot. Honestly, they didn't. We won for two three and that series. And I don't know if I if I remember correctly, I don't think Justin Verlander pitch one of those games. So I think that for, for example, is gonna be a big difference for us. I think I think we did get to face each other, get to see kind of where each other teams were Abba. We played early on in the year and we weren't really clicking yet. And I think right about now is the time that this team starts to start. Click starts to turn it on and plays our best baseball in October. Realistically, I know it sounds cliche, but last year you guys went through this new master play baseball. How much does that help you this year when you go into it. I think it helps a lot. Now we, we do have a slightly different team, and I think it's actually a a little bit improved to be honest with you. We made some huge additions down the stretch with Presley on a sooner bullpen. We made we traded for Garrett Cole. So I think I think we have about this complete a pitching staff as you'll see in the game of baseball. And then offensively I think, is where we learn the most from our postseason run last year. I think I think the guys that that were in that offense that are still in the offense learnt so much of the difference between regular season abets and postseason bats. And I think we'll be able to apply that that into this year series Friday, it's going to be kluber the Verlinden the postseason actually starts tonight. How much do you pay attention to what's going on in other series other than you own? I'll pay attention to the American League. I mean, I'll watch the game tonight because we're not playing, but I'm I mostly just pay attention. The American League. See, see how teams are doing. But I I, if I had to make a prediction, I would. I would predict that we would be playing. The Milwaukee Brewers in the World Series this year. Until this very. McCain, Nicole's of cubs fans. So now she is very, very mad. Hey, Alex, you're doing great stuff on the field, but more importantly, you're doing amazing things off the field being a part of this. We really appreciate your time. Thanks for all that you do and best of luck throughout the playoffs. Thanks for having me on guys and everybody. Go ahead and tweet out that hashtag HR for HR..

"Now by speaking Astros, third baseman, Alex bregman, Alex, thanks for joining us. Mantilla mobile is bringing back home runs for hurricane recovery, five thousand bucks for every home run hit in the playoffs. Plus one dollar for every post on Twitter or Instagram using the hashtag HR for HR they pick the right guy to rep this Alex. What makes this 'cause close to you buddy? Well, last year we saw firsthand here in Houston with the hurricane and everyone that was affected, and we saw how we were able to kind of raise the city up when it was going through some tough times. So since then for about the last year partner of t. mobile and team Rubicon and able to try to help out in any way we can with with hurricane relief. And t mobile is done on believable job with home, runs for hurricane relief. And hopefully this year we can hit some home runs and raise more money to help these families that were affected. Well, obviously you've gone hot and help that. 'cause in Ben helping the cause for the Astros throughout the month of October, what's really been the key for you? Well, I think I think just really being on being on this team with the the great teammates that I have been able to pick out to as brain craze brain. And you know when when when this offense gets role in you wanna keep up and it's fun. And hopefully while I know for a fact that we're back back to full strength now everyone's healthy and it's going to be a fun run. Hopefully eleven more wins to are are back to back World Series championships fall in the AL MVP conversation. I don't know as actually the first time I've been asked that trying on on on record, so I don't know, depends on depends on what you look at. Definitely say Mookie Betts, believable year, Mike trout, an unbelievable year. So somewhere in there with those two. Well, I think we should just lobby for you. I mean, it's tumble of you, Alex, the humility. I, I want to get back to something. You mentioned though. When you talked about this, 'cause for you and what Houston sort of went through last year. It caught the nation's attention with you guys going through that run when Houston was going through so much for this year. Obviously, you know that the reasons he bias of that, it just it's not as prevalent in everyone's mind. So how do you sort of recapture that level of emotion going into this playoff often hotel you? One thing. We one hundred and three games this year. So we were able to secure home-field home field advantage for the first round and. I promise you when when when the guy's not clubhouse feel the electricity of our fans in the stands on on game one when Verlinden takes on kluber, I think I think we're well. We'll feel right back at home where where we, where we feel very comfortable in the postseason and in that atmosphere and we'll, we'll remember Houston strong for sure. Seeing teams that when the World Series one year sort of have the the World Series hangover the next year you guys you one hundred and three games, but you still had to sort of got it out and fight it out with Oakland. There was the points in August where you guys had that ten game stretch. We lost eight including two of three to Oakland during that time. What did you guys learn about yourselves at the team. I'll tell you this team. We we. We did have a World Series hangover. We we only one hundred three games. I think we're capable of winning one hundred twenty one hundred twenty five to be honest with you. If with that's how that's how confident we are in in in this team when we're pulse strength and well, two, they went down. Correa went down, Springer went down and and we we managed to win a hundred and three games. So the Oakland Athletics, they had a, they had a magical run at a division title, but they they got, they got a tough one with the Yankees coming up. So I think I think our division is is ours for the fertile for the future. And I think we're gonna. We're gonna own LS for awhile. "Twitter feed at Spain and Fitz at Chason fits at Rb underscore m. r. s to get to Nicole and look part of the conversation that everybody wants to have right now has to do with the buccaneers coming down to earth. Last night. Ryan Fitzpatrick was Fitch tragic in the first half tried to bring the magic back late. You like the Fitch, tragic line, you thank you very much it. It was not pretty and then in the end. But in the end we all thought there was going to be some magical way that he could pull it off. It doesn't happen. The bucks lose the game. And now we get into the curious window because they've told us the organization said, hey. We know who starting, but we're not saying anything, and we're all trying to speculate on whether it'll be James Winston back from his suspension that comes in and starts or whether you leave Fitzpatrick in so Nicole, where you on this one, why would you start gave us Winston? I mean, legitimately, why would you start? It's not like you're bringing back. I realized he was your number one pick a couple years ago, but it's not like you're bringing back Jay miss Winston that has the skill set and the consistency of a Tom Brady or an Aaron Rodgers, or drew Brees, or even an Alex Smith or Kirk with a k. cousins. Right? You're bringing back the guy who's been up and down at best the last three years. And he hasn't been with your team since the last game of the preseason. And he's really like, you're going to go away from the guy who's been doing really good things for you. Yes, they didn't win last night, but the first three weeks come on. It's magic. Well, I have James Winston, so there's that, oh, well, I mean, okay. That's fair. That's a fair point. I, I think there is sort of a curve though, right? You have to think about the fact that he's been away from the game. The fact that James is somebody who realistically has struggled with accuracy at times in his in his career, comes back to the game after being away from it for three weeks, he hasn't thrown any passes to any of the guys that are out there. He hasn't had any practice time practice time is limited as it is when you get into the regular season. So he's been out of the rhythm of everything and he's gonna be taking on a bears defense that frankly is great. So do you really wanna put James Winston in a position where a rusty James that has to be picked up off the ground all night by Khalil Mack all day by Khalil Mack? I wouldn't. I wouldn't No, know. no, I just I, it doesn't. It doesn't make sense to me. You stick with the guy who's at least been? Yes. Yesterday was a little ugly, particularly in the first half with all of the interceptions. But Fitzpatrick I, I really struggle getting Fitzpatrick out because it just wants to come outfits magic. But he's, he's been the guy for the first three weeks of this season that let me numbers were there and he has. He has a good chemistry there with the receivers, and I just it. It may not be the hottest hand because they didn't win last night, but ride the hot hand. And I think that the writing is a little bit on the wall in Tampa. There mean I feel a little bit like they're prepared to make a break from Jamie's. I mean, where's where's the sign? 'age if you're down in Tampa and you're looking at the stadium, where's the sign? It's not there. That's an interesting point because you're right..

"So this seems to be stemming from some doubt that he is injured. Is this a I Leonard team meeting situation where guys think he should be out there and that he's. Making this up. I mean, I know our own Jesse Rogers who covers the cubs, says, an MRI hasn't showed anything's and even Darvish admitted today. And one of his better interviews that he's kind of a mystery to him what he's feeling and why you still hurting. I, it surprises me that this cubs team would question his desire to be out there. I've been part of the their series, the Darvish on the whole to the cubs clubhouse is still a mystery. They don't know him really well. He signs his big money deal, and you expect him to go out and produce on the mound. And that hasn't happened. And, and this is what happens every time, any athlete signs a huge contract and doesn't initially live up to experts. Asians, guys start to go. All right. Is this guy for real, but as far as the personal attacks or personal questions about his health, I'm sure that the cubs players are still trying to figure out all right. How well do we know this guy and and is it something that that we can even talk to him about at this point? So such frustration is felt within. In the fan base for certain the differences. The Rick Sutcliffe still talked to plenty of people within the organization on a regular basis and has a much closer relationship with those people than most analysts would throughout the game. Yeah, we, of course, you know, have to wonder if he's got a the year of somebody who, or I guess that they that, that he's the one listening to somebody in the cubs organization, whether that's a teammate or a manager or a front office, who's just frustrated with the whole situation. And you mentioned that when you've got a deal as big as the one Darvish God, there's going to be so much more of a spotlight on you to produce the. That's that's just part of the business. And there's been a, it's been a rocky road since the beginning with Darvish teammates saying that you Darvish feels like Chicago fans hate him because of social media people absolutely attacking him with every bad outing and then the flu Darvish when people made fun of him for being ill. So it has been a rocky road and certainly commentary from Sutcliffe not going to make him feel any better. Here's a little bit more of what Rick said on Waddle and Silvy when you feel pain after one page, why? Why do you continue to throw it? Just honestly sounds like more of the same to me. I I don't. I don't expect anything out of end this year. I really don't. You know the the plan was I talked with pitching coach, Jim Hickey earlier today. The plan was for Darvish to go down there supposed to throw thirty pitches on the side. Yeah, it's. It's a interesting conundrum for the cubs and Nick. I never want to question a guy's heart, and so that's what makes this tough for me. I'm I, I would love there to be a little bit more information about what's going on in Chicago. And of course hamels arriving. Maybe we'll help old teammates..

"Darvish you've, of course heard about the a. rod comments. Well, these take it another level get into that next Spain and fits. We were just talking to Jerry Crasnick about about all the moves at the trade deadline comes. Got a little jump on the deadline by adding Cole hamels. And of course that's slightly offsetting the acquisition of you Darvish that has not yet panned out for the cubs injuries, plaguing his season and just not not good pitching when he is available and Nick, we all have have heard about a rod, making some comments on Sunday night baseball about you Darvish they, they were showing shots of Darvish rehabbing an hanging out in the cubs dugout and Rodriguez kinda said he should be in Mesa. He should be working out a somewhere else. He's a distraction. And when you've got a guy, that's got a big money deal like that, and he's hanging out in the training room and watching video and hanging out in the dugout. He's a distraction. He should instead be in Arizona getting treated, even though it's perfectly fine within his contract to be getting treatment and working in Chicago. Ago, so era a pretty critical of you Darvish and sort of hinting at it being a guy who has lost respect in the clubhouse because of his decisions during this rehab and you Darvish agent coming out and kind of attacking a rod saying, he's not a guy who should be talking about it. He certainly is a guy who knows about losing respect in a clubhouse, right, Nick. But what do you make first of all before we get to Rick Sutcliffe piling on of the kind of interaction between a rotten and use agent, sir. This is what happens in the world of sports when your client is being attacked on a public national level in it. And when you're making a ton of money when you're making a ton of money and you're not living up to that contractor. And the other key part to this is in in this goes back to two last week as well. Tim, Kirk, John, our colleague here at ESPN. He made similar comments on the Waddle and Silvy program on ESPN. One thousand here in Chicago, basically saying that this is becoming more of a distraction within the clubhouse and players while they're not making their feelings public on that, you know, people are starting to look around and go, all right. What are we going to get from this guy? Or are we going to get anything from this guy to begin with? So when you start to hear those rumblings and then a rod. Obviously talked to whomever he spoke to in the cubs clubhouse and and made his feelings public on it as well. When you start to hear that everything blows up to a higher level and that's where we are now in this kind of standoff, between some in the media, you Darvish Darvish his agent in his production or lack thereof on the field. Well, we, we heard the reaction to a rod, not as many reacting to Rick Sutcliffe because his commentary mostly locally here in Chicago. I say here even though I'm in LA right now, but you know what I mean? And let's listen to a little of what Rick Sutcliffe who is a part of the cubs in sort of an ambassador role. Is that right? He's working with them in an ambassador said to Waddle and Silvy on ESPN one thousand. Feel pain in there, but I know that the cubs have done everything they possibly can. They've looked at that in every single way possible. I know that they they had the physical before they signed him. There's just a lot of things that go into that too. Where in my mind right now, the signing of Cole hamels is we're not even counting on Darsch he, you know, he go ahead and he can go home right now. We, we, we know what we've gotta do. We don't count on him for anything over the course of this year. I don't know. Maybe you can come back and and pitch out of the bullpen late in the year. I just don't know any of that. Yeah. So he he kind of, you know, not particularly invested in believing in what Darvish has to offer. I'm just kind of fascinated for Dell because I never liked criticism of guys for injury. You can't prevent that..

"This feels like a team that has done everything at every step of the way to make themselves have a better chance to get through that final game of the year and come out on top. What do you make the move they made today? Yeah, you know, it's funny because I was in touch with the dodgers person when the Machado thing was going on, and I remember saying, hey, if you don't get Machado, would Bryant dosier be sort of a good plan b, you know, a guy who could go off in the last two months and it's sixteen home runs, and the person said, yeah, you know, that might be something that if we don't get Manny, you know, could be a fallback well, who would know, but they want up getting both of them. You know, which to me is a pretty big coup. I mean, obviously you'd like to get an impact starting pitcher, but there just weren't any of them out there so for Chris Archer. And so to get a second. Basement of Doges caliber Amini Machado who is having a huge impact on their, you know, mentally there and and just the product they put out and the lineup they put out and you know, actually the veteran guy, you put him in the National League West and those bigger parks. He's gonna help. He's not a huge impact guy, but hell help eat some inning. So on a good trade down the line result all around for inner Friedman in his group in Los Angeles, jury, aside from the flurry of moves, at the end of today's tread line trade deadline, the big news in the last twenty four hours was the Astros decision to to trade for Roberto. As soon as you talk to people around the rest of major league baseball. What are their feelings after the Astros front office statement about zero tolerance for domestic abuse in trying to give people a second chance in the process? You know, I think. Pharrell mayors from other teams. Probably think you know what better them than us. I mean, it's just this is a headache. Nobody wants. And this is a clubhouse that you know, you could drive a wedge in that clubhouse your fan base. I just think that Jeff Luneau had to think this thing through long and hard before he did it and he seemed comfortable with it. But boy, a lot of other people, darling. And you know, I was in that group that thought, hey, you know, they, if they needed a closer go on and get Zack Brenton. I mean, the guy is a model citizen, you know, he's, he's been through the wars. He's he, he could be closer for you. You know, they wound up getting Ryan Presley who's a nice arm, but this to me is just one of those things where, boy, you're a winning team and I, it's just a huge issue. I mean, he's gonna have to go before a clubhouse of guys. Some of whom like Justin Burland have been very outspoken about domestic violence, and you know he, he's gonna meet with a tough. Crowd. So I'm not really sure if Jeff moon out, forget out all the internal clubhouse dynamics, but it's going to hit them in the face pretty soon pretty hard different than some of the other times we've seen this too is that that trial is ongoing murders, still information that could be revealed in that trial and punishment. That could be levied criminally. So it'll be a, it'll be fascinating to see how that goes and affects the team that's coming off World Series win. Hey, thanks so much for your time. Jerry really appreciate it. Thank you guys. Have a good night. "Performance line where Jerry Crasnick ESPN MLB insider joins us after a frenzy of activity at the trade deadline and Jerry. Let's let's talk about the moves today of all of the moves that you saw go down just before the deadline, which impressed you the most or do you think will affect a team's chances? The most. Well, you there? Yes. Oh, sorry. I'm well the one I think that I was surprised the most by think was the pirates picking up Chris Archer, you know, he's a guy who just such an interesting case because he's been the face of Tampa Bay and his alarm contract. He's not a guy who's going to be a free agent this winter. He's, he signed for two thousand through two thousand twenty one at very reasonable price. So you know, I don't know how much of an impact it's going to have immediately, but for them to trade away, Austin meadows and Tyler glass. Now too big prospects and meadows is still a kid that people expect really big things of to get Chris Archer to be the face of their franchise. For the next few years, I thought was the boldest move of of all of them. We saw, obviously, Atlanta picking up Kevin Godsman from Baltimore late and Milwaukee picking up Jonathan scope, sorta picking through their character of that. What remains of that Orioles roster? Pretty impact moved to Jerry. We know the moves that were made. The biggest move that wasn't made was Bryce Harper stain in DC with the nationals. There were some rumors about whether he was on the block or not. And Mike Rizzo comes out and says he staying here, do the national still believe strongly that that they can keep Harper for the long haul after this winter. Well, I'm not entirely sure about that. I do think that the sense though is look, they're six or seven out, you know, behind Philly in Atlanta, too young teams. And I think the chances of them keeping him probably better if they keep him and he has a big couple of final month leaves them to the postseason they make a run. I mean, that would be a feel good story at the end. I think dump them now and and pretty much give up on the race is not the kind of signal that Mike Rizzo ever likes to send. I mean, he's Syria, you know him, I think, right, he's he's Chicago guy. He's a, he's gonna fight till his last breath and you know. So I just don't think that was ever real serious consideration even though people mentioned Harper rumors. And finally, he just felt compelled to come up this morning and squash out stuff because we're starting to get out of hand a little bit. So you know, I just think they, they just need him to start playing better and get this free agency out of his head and and give Philly. And Atlanta better remnant given them because they've been a huge disappointment. So far rizzo's last breath with the NATs might come sooner if he keeps trying to fight through situations that don't seem to have a reasonable end successful. And I guess so I, it's interesting at one point I was one hundred percent against the Harper traded nam very concerned. They're gonna lose him for nothing and look back on. Well, yeah. I mean, look you. The thing is whoever gives them the biggest stuck Scott Boerse's agent and whoever's gonna you know, pony up and give them the biggest contract is gonna get them probably. So there is much of a team in the mix for that as anybody, and you know, they can always get a draft pick if they, you know, from a qualifying offer, and he goes somewhere else. But I honestly don't think that re-signing him really makes a whole heck of a lot of difference whether he's there or not. You know, in the winter once the money starts flying, the teams that are willing to pay the teams that are going to get these guys. Jerry Crasnick ESP. MLB insider on the shell Pennzoil performance. "But I understand there are a lot of people and Ramona. Makes it very good point. You don't wanna doubt LeBron James look at what he's been able to do the last seven or eight years, but guess what the Golden State Warriors were not in the Eastern Conference, and the Golden State Warriors aren't going anywhere anytime. Soon on top of the fact that the Houston Rockets still feel like they have a legit claim that if Chris Paul doesn't get hurt that they would have been in the finals this season and they can still do better. They feel this year than they did a year ago. So I know that everybody wants to believe that LeBron can take whoever is around him and make them significantly better. And as a group, they can get to the next phase which would be the finals yet. Again, that's not gonna happen this year. The Lakers aren't good enough and certainly not in a conference that has one of the best teams we've seen in NBA history in the warriors with all their guys still in there. On Nick Fidel filling in for fits that Spain and Fitz on ESPN radio, the espionage and Sirius XM channel eighty. While I set up the question and I'll give you the answer of what he said to to Rachel Nichols about spending another year in quote, unquote, his prime building a team with the Lakers and one of the one of the things he said, I found interesting. He said, I don't even look at it like that because I don't feel like this is one of the last years of my prime. I think that's another statistic number and I've always been part of beating the odds in life being around my kids allow it gives me even more and more time in my youth. So he starts out and then he gets into, I don't think this is rebuilding. We've got an opportunity to something blah, blah, blah. But. Listen being around your kids may make you feel young. It doesn't make you NBA young, right? There's a big difference between I'm light hearted and then watch Dora the explorer and topics role, and I can get my entire body off the ground and dunk on fools anymore. You know what I mean? Like he in some of his answers surrounding this Lakers team, whether it's the compatibility of all the island of misfit toys guys, there signing to their ability to win a championship to how young you feel. He's reaching a lot and I don't blame him. He's got to find answers, but some of them are suspect. So we're going to look back on this year with LeBron moving to the Lakers with the roster they built around him in this is going to be the year where reality hits him harder than it has in a long time and hit him with that west conference. That's what's going to hit them. Right? It's Redel for Spain and Fitz on ESPN radio coming up. Next, we'll talk to Jerry Crasnick about all the big moves at MLB, trade deadline, Spain, and Fitz. "But I guess the question. Nick is, do we view LeBron's prime the same way as everyone else? Because we always argue, father time is undefeated, are we making up new rules for the Tom Brady's and the LeBron James the world, or are we going to find that his expectations for his own body might be off when things finally start to slow down, he might be making career decisions based on a time line that isn't gonna play out, Sarah, and this is actually a topic I've talked to LeBron about as well in the last few months and that he feels like he can change that clocked that every athlete, in this case, every professional basketball player has he thinks he can bridge it so that he can get multiple max contracts. In this case, a different mex- contract at what will be h thirty four than anybody else has ever seen because he can still pointed this high of a level and that's great. And it's great to have that kind of confidence, but. But he will not be good enough for that long at this level in won't be much different than what we've seen from anybody in the past. I understand how unbelievable he is, but LeBron James is still human in to your point at some point in the near future to me, he's going to have to realize that he can't do everything that we're so used to seeing him do over time the Lakers. And that's why there's so much pushback on this roster. The roster surrounding LeBron to start this season just is not good enough, and this is part of what Rachel get into. And I, I give her a ton of credit for asking that question to fetal away Bron, but it shows the trust that's built up between journalists and player in this relationship. But I never thought in a million years LeBron James would redshirt season in that he would go to a new team. Believing that he didn't have a chance to win. And I know what he's trying to say publicly. Let's be real clear here though. The Lakers have no chance to win a title next season. And for LeBron who has been so many finals in a row, that reality is gonna hit home a lot harder in March and April than it does right now at the end of July when everything is still fresh and everybody's still happy, I agree with you that I don't think they've got a good shot of winning Ramona Shelburne was on sports nation with me today. And she said, I'm not in the habit of doubting LeBron says, if he doesn't view this as a building year, I believe him and you look at all the things he did in the east with a ragtag bunch of players. I just don't agree that that is going to work at the same way in the west and alsi grant a Granderson said, you know, you look at the guys that he's adding to him. These are proven winners. These are shooters these guys who can create their own shot. Yes, that's true. But a lot of the guys that got sent to the Cavs midway through last year were being praised for their. Offensive abilities, their defensive abilities, their ability to spread the floor and shoot the three before they got there. And once they got to Cleveland, all they did was get ragged down for not being effective and they went back to the guys that had been on the roster all along. Is that because they choked or is it because sometimes playing in LeBron's orbit makes people not know their role. There's no real buying into a system there floating around trying to do whatever they can't based around what LeBron is doing and aren't able to play the game that they expect or think they're supposed to. I'm curious to see how this works out with some strong minded veterans. Maybe they'll hold true to the system a little bit better, but we'll LeBron buy into it. I think that makes a big difference when we're looking at what the realistic expectations for this team are not only the veterans in this case, Brandon Ingram, Lonzo ball, Kyle Kuzma. How will the younger guys try to adjust to what he's going to do in the style he's going to want to put into place..

"I think it's very likely that despite his conversation with Rizza where he got all those assurances that does not mean that there were no conversations being there's no question sir, and that as an onlooker who is followed Harper's coming to the league, that is most telling me that they let the rumors play up for awhile wasn't like Rizzo came out and said, instantly none. He's not going anywhere, which leads me to believe that the nationals at least are discussing and thinking about the possibility that Harper may indeed walk at season's end and they may get nothing forum. So it's all a fascinating topic. But what is in arguable is the nationals were supposed to be at the forefront of these conversations at the deadline and the nationals. Are not very good and have never turned the corner this season the way. So many people thought they would well in dusty Baker sitting at home thinking to himself how many wins they got last year, how far they made it last year and you get rid of him and it's a disaster in that clubhouse and their record is terrible and they're only getting worse. Let's hear from Bryce Harper one more time talking about trade rumors and how this is part of the business for him to hear those rumors about himself risen reassured me. On yesterday that I wasn't going anywhere. So. You know, I was. I was very happy about that and got him suicide, Scopus. Yeah, glad you're still inside a clubhouse that has had multiple fistfights between teammates that doesn't seem to have anyone that's really in charge. And that is, is a struggling to stay above five hundred. But hey, he did win the homerun derby. So that's a good memory for every Nick, right? That's right. We've heard of coachspeak that's player speaker there. Hey. That he got his first rodeo man, but it might be one of his first five hundred seasons Spain bits, Sarah Spain with you. Nick freed l. filling in for Fitz on ESPN radio and the ESPN app coming up next LeBron James versus father time. Is there any chance all of his success might actually be bad for him going for? We'll talk about it next Spain and Fitz LeBron James had that sit down with Rachel Nichols yesterday shortly after announcing the opening of his school in Akron, and it was pretty wide ranging. It wasn't just about the school. It was about as moved to Los Angeles. And what's next? And one of the noteworthy questions from Rachel to LeBron was one that kind of free Dell. I actually watched and cringed a little bit mainly because Rachel was sitting what two feet away from LeBron James. When she asked him, you're going to be thirty four during this season. How do you feel about one of the last years. Of your prime being spent on a rebuilding year. And I was like, oh, no, lookout, Rachel. You just said his prime is ending soon, right? And that's something that LeBron doesn't seem to have had to reckon with in the same way that other players have. He is about to be thirty four. And yet if you look at the statistics, if you look at his health is ability to play full seasons. Last year was the first time he played every game of the regular season plays deep into the postseason the Olympics, everything else, and his body has not betrayed him..

"He has never lived up to that high level promise that so many people thought would happen when he was with the raise for all those years. Now he gets a fresh start going into the last couple of months of the regular season. And if you're Pittsburgh, so often they kind of fall apart down the stretch end or make those moves. To sell off that we mentioned. Now you've got this piece and you have him under team control for the next few years, which will help you rotation. But you've got this piece who can help push you potentially into the playoffs and for a team, a fan base that has been starving for years and years to not only get there but make some noise once they get in there. Again, this is a good day should be celebrated its neck Redel filling in for fits Spain and Fitz on ESPN radio, the espionage and Sirius XM channel eighty. Cameron may into the Mariners also caught my eye. We will talk to Jerry Crasnick in about twenty minutes about the biggest deals at the trade deadline where he thinks the teams got a significantly better where teams may be missed an opportunity. A couple of notable names, not traded today. Matt Harvey staying put Bryce Harper. Also, Adrian BELTRAN, Adam Jones. So a couple of guys that maybe there were rumors about them heading out and Bryce Harper. The biggest among them free down. What's interesting is when you hear. Here, someone report sources are telling me that the nationals are open and willing to sell. And then after the fact someone from the nationals comes straight out, not through a source and says, no, no, no. He's staying around to me that immediately points to they were looking for what we like to call the godfather deal. They were looking for someone to come bearing all of their top prospects, throw everything at the nets, and then it would be worth it. But just in case, no one showed up at their door with that godfather deal. They've got to come out publicly and say, oh, we don't want to get rid of him. We would never want to get rid of him because they want to preserve the opportunity for him to stick around and sign when he goes into free agency. So to me the fact that they didn't move them in the fact that they came out and said, they weren't planning to doesn't mean they weren't float in that out there. I agree with you completely. If you're Bryce Harper, you've got to be kinda looking around shaking your head going right. Do they really want me? Is this something that that they were really serious about it? And this is pro sports in general? This isn't just the Washington nationals. When you hear the rumors when you see the smoke and you see all these GM's and presidents go through the motions of, well, let's let's see what's out there, and let's see what the possibilities are and then you get the denial twenty four hours later. So where there's smoke sarahspain there's usually fire and I don't doubt for a second at the nationals at least gauge what was out there potentially for Harper and a good news for them is Bryce Harper, at least publicly is saying all the right things about the reports that he was on the trade bloc going into Brazil manage yesterday early this morning. Man, knowing that I was going to say here and I was going to be here. And you know, it's, I took that as you know, I have great relationship, and you know RAs, one of the best teams and all the baseball. And I think he would be straightforward with me if I was on the block or anything like that. So I think that just goes to show how good our relationship is. And. Nicely? Yeah, of course. In sports, Nick, if you of a star player that goes and talks directly to one of the people in the front office and says, gonna get traded. They never get traded right after that. Just ask to Marta, Rosen. Oh, wait. Hold on. Wait a minute. It's a business. They are treading around five hundred. They might lose them for absolutely nothing. And I can guarantee you, well, I can't guarantee it..

"ESPN. Radio is presented by progressive insurance. And the big names of course, are the teams that were already pretty active, but the dodgers going out and getting Brian dosier from the twins, sending Logan foresight than a couple of prospects to Minnesota. They also. Go out and get veteran right hander John expert to put another arm in their bullpen. They send a prospect to the Blue Jays in exchange for Axelrod. He is an impending free agent. So just a rental, there has got a four forty one ERA with fifty strikeouts in fifty. One innings this season dodgers have made a lot of moves. We sometimes forget about Machado because it feels like it was forever ago, but Nick, how do you see this new look Los Angeles team after the trades today they're going for it and if your fans there, that's all you can ask for. If you have been following the dodgers last few years, they've gotten real close. Certainly less season game seven at home, but they gotta find a way to get all the way there. And it is very clear that ownership front office, the players, everybody's doing whatever they can to try and get over that final hump and you've got to be pleased with the moves they made their trying is best. They can to fill up what was already a pretty solid roster. They've gotten rolling here the last month or so. And you. Never know what kind of other moves can be made in the next few weeks before that final deadline at the inaugural. But Sarah, if you're the dodgers not only were you feeling good because you've been playing pretty well over the last few weeks, but you've got to be feeling really good about the jolt that this will give to your clubhouse. Yeah, absolutely. You mentioned last year they fell just short. Haven't won a World Series since eighty eight. They lead them last year. The majors in wins. They let him in payroll. And if you're a fan, you can't really ask the team for much more than what they've done in terms of trying to build on last year and give themselves a good shot. I would say everybody and that includes you and I who are quite biased, kind of just have the NL as coming down to the dodgers and the cubs and the cubs not making any really big name deals right now. They've gotten a couple of guys to add in sprinkle in, but it's gonna come down to some questions of health with guys like you Darvish and also what he can contribute and Cole hamels what he's got left weather, taking him out of the. Texas ballpark and putting them in in a in a Wrigley ballpark that he's pitched well and of late, whether that makes enough of a difference to make him a a real piece of the cubs team. Also some big news coming for the pirates at the trade deadline, Chris Archer to Pittsburgh Pirates and raise agreeing on the deal with a couple of former top prospects going to Tampa in the deal. And hopefully for the pirates Archer, moving from the alias to the NFL central should help him. He's kind of been average since two thousand sixteen but could be much better and is still obviously one of the bigger names that was out there free dollars still amazed that Pittsburgh is a buyer right now, and you have to wonder if you're that team. If you're looking back on the move heading into this season and thinking, maybe we shouldn't have. We shouldn't have sell their selves sold ourselves. So so short when we're entering this season because they certainly didn't think they'd be here. Goodbye, Garrett, Cole. You wish you might. That one back there. But you know, anytime you hear the sentence in, it starts with big news for the pirates at the deadline. Usually you're thinking the other way, right? Usually take everybody's go. What happened now? The sell off continues year after years. So all those fans as long-suffering fans in Pittsburgh. You've got to feel really happy that your team went out and tried to do something positive, and I'm with you. I mean, there's so much hype around Chris Archer and has been for several years. And you mentioned that all star season, but you know, this is a guy right now with any IRA over four. He's got a whip of one point, three nine..
