Stop Stepping To Your Vision

"Right but so. Most you know Rachel Pearson spoke at the last two hacking lives and she's made. She's also the Queen of Tiktok, and my daughter is her biggest fan, and anyway she's actually going to boise and my daughter so excited to talk with her, which is going to be so fun anyway, she. She, she walks me over a really cool question about you know taking things once airtime, and how you create your vision, and how you bypass things in all kind of stuff so I'm GonNa play her her part of Oxford right here, senior the question and then I'm GonNa. Come back, answer if someone called me out today, and and they were very spot on. They said I feel like you are taking the stairs. One step at a time when you are destined for greatness, so my question to you is. How did you create a vision? Did it fall into your lap? Did you read a book how you create a vision for your life in Your Business that? Keeps everything going. You know like the infinite game from Simon Sinek. Thank you so so so much. Okay, so I think it's a really good question, and it's interesting because. I think a lot of us. We get into this game and we don't really know what's possible where we're going or any of those things you know like. I didn't I didn't know what was happening. Today was possible by any stretch of the machinations. So I think sometimes you bypass your vision. In fact, it was kind of a really cool. What a really cool experience I was Remember we did. The final startup story was with mixer at this. In Utah called the drive, our comedy club and had JP sears. Come into roast me for an hour before we. We did the interview and it was so funny, but anyway at dinner I asked JP makes what's next few. What's what's the next plan? And he has smiled at me. He looks so content something that I've never been my wife and he was like It's like you know what he's like so far. Everything that's happened me surpassed wherever possible select some China just enjoy, and just like enjoy things as they. They. Come and be grateful for them. And I was like Oh my gosh. That is amazing like I need to learn that, so there's that piece of it right and he gets entrepreneur struggle with us, because because We're always looking, you know come back to my my last podcast, so talking about We're so tied into achievement achievement. She moved. Forget about the fulfillment side, so there's an apartment, the other side which I understand Moore's this goal of achieving and trying to take over the world and stuff like that and You Know I. Remember A- At the very I live in ever went to I remember I one thousand dollars to go to which is like the first step for me, my call so much money like stressed out and the speakers talking up people selling different things and and I remember. I can never Ford this thing for two grander, five, ten, grand, or all these different things kind of being like bummed out about it right and I. Remember Admits Kid and the kid was. Maybe a year, older Mir, maybe same age. I was like I was twenty two at the time he been twenty three or something but we are about the same age and and I saw the the presenters Solas Mash grouping route three signed up for it and I was like how did you? How are you for that like I can I can figure it out for that and he's like. Oh, he's like well. There's two ways to get. Get the top you can work your way, and you can buy your insights by my way I'm like well for sounds like this leap in thought I'd never have crossed my mind before my okay, it's pretty cool and then then it's more questions like well. How'd you four for this and he's like I'm actually in twelve masterminds. This time I was like what how did you do that? And he came back and said well what I did is that. What and He's like I. wanted to go these things, but I couldn't afford us as they found. People who kind of trained toss of to so I wanna go is mastermind. Groups obviously can be expensive for everyone to pay. For you for you know if you guys want to go, all this is going to be really expensive so if you're interested. I think if you pay me ten grand and I get. I don't know twenty people. Two hundred thousand dollars Algo. Join all of them and I'll come back until you cool stuff I learned and he got all these people are paying twenty grand. And he took the money, or whatever it was I don't know. And he joined all these mastermind groups, and he bought his way in, and he got up, and he built his company very very very very quickly and I thought that was just a strategic thing. You know I remember celebrity apprentice. Few Watch delivery apprentice in the past I three or four episodes, people do things that was like fundraisers. It was like Corey's money sleep while on the street and they're try. Lemonade always seems raise. Money wasn't tough. I don't know two or three seasons in when the dude from kiss. that. Yeah. Kiss Gene Simmons. GM's was on it and They do fundraising things out there trying to raise money that hustling and he just sat, there picked up his phone made a phone call and got a check from his buddies for half million dollars, and you destroyed everybody else out of the Moore. Looking at thinking, he's thinking in a different level and everybody else says the thought difference, right? Everyone's like like here's the task must do the thing. And they jumped up him. Trump except step-by-step. Whereas Gene Simmons came back and said Look I can do that or I. Can just do this and we'll jump you know a thousand steps past everyone else. And I think I remember watching have now and just like okay. I got started thinking more strategically. US think tactically which tactics are so important is how we get the thing done, but it takes stopping stepping back and looking at things more strategically of okay. Here's next step next up. You want to jump five or ten or twenty tears is not going to happen by you. Doing the next step is to stepping back and saying what's the next thing like what's the? What's the big the big domino? The next I don't know there's ways to phrase. It I'm not sure the best way but conceptually it's it stopping the tactics instead back strategically and thinking different right. Click funnels I'd so many amazing strategic conversations with friends and people The worldwide software company right, if you, if you at the expert, secrets book like we talked about movement and finding a future base 'cause and like all these things that weren't. They weren't tactically like. Here's the next step it. It's like how do we? How do we? We've these things into our culture right? How do we? H-. How do you do these things? They caused these incremental big shifts as opposed to just increasing your your your ads by ten, or you're just created another friend and offer it's like. Have you create things that have mass shifts? Mass changes things like that. I think it really comes back stepping back away from the tactical, which means getting out of the day today, which means taking a vacation, which is hard for us right or or doing strategy your team, and just they look for three days, and we're GONNA work. We're talking about like what's possible. It's a future. Where could we go you know not not with Nextstep, but like if what if we just destroyed these steps and had a whole new thing like what would that look like? And how do we get there and you pull it? Poor Gene Simmons instead of fundraising. You just pull out A. Just, you know, put your phone and call buddy in and get five hundred thousand dollars in five seconds. That's that's the power of it so I. Hope it helps the no, it's not a full answer. Hopefully gets the Wilson head-spinning. Everyone else's listening help that helps as well

Recipe Developing From Home

"Big difference between coming to work at the World Trade Center and you're in this two thousand square foot kitchen with every pot and pan and spice that you need. You guys are now in your home. Kitchens with spouses and kids and pets and everything Solo. What's been the biggest challenge for you? It's just getting organized. I think I'll just I'll have a plan at the beginning of the day and then it never. It never goes according to plan. You know like today. My Pie melted. I thought I'd take your Pie. The I forgot to put an oven thermometer in there so I think the temperature was in right and then the crust. Just Chris what about you cooking in freeing up? The space to cook is a constant challenge but the hardest part is Ben when I wanNA take a great photo of something. It's like the stars really have to align like to SOLAS point. It can't be the day that you're crust decided to slump like right off. You know like into the abyss of the bottom of your oven. It can't be a day where you you have to be on my kid duty the entire day. It's like I need like the daylight I need to go out into my backyard. I need the food to look right at the right moment. I need to like have my entire setup and I've found that with certain dishes like I've been doing a lot of stuff with Spring produced and you have to start thinking like Stylus to get the best possible photo. Let's talk about that because typically when we're at work you guys developed the dishes in the bottom fifty test kitchen and then there is a photo department with professional photographers and stylists food stylists who take that recipe and then bring it to life in the form of a photograph. Now that we're all at home. You guys are the photographers. The prop stylist. The food stylists uric a one man band. How has that been working? You go ahead so well. Prop stylist have a prop cut that lockdown. Today's cloudy no photos happening today. I don't know it's just. It's just a I've realized it's a lot harder than I ever imagined to just like. Make a hard look at like every snow pea. When I'm playing something I just WanNa make a taste. Good and get it on the plate but when you're looking at it through the lens of the camera you suddenly realize Oh that mentally phys wilted this snow. Pea looks crooked This plate isn't as clean as I thought it would be. So just I guess I need to like slow down when I'm playing a little bit more. Because all of the flaws are magnified on camera. You have to build your dish in the dish on the set the way of food style would you can't really you know. Put the soup in the bowl back in the kitchen and then walk it outside. Yeah you know I mean it would be nice if we could but unfortunately that's just like not how great food photography works right. It's like you need to construct your dish. You need to construct each pleading of something and then you have this window of time. Clock is ticking. You know the colors are going to be vibrant and pop for some window of time and then you're going to start to lose it you know what are some of the dictates you received from the photo department in terms of how to shoot for a website like monoply dot com. The biggest thing for me was simply the idea that we need to shoot everything landscape and portrait like. I know that sounds silly but if you are somebody who uses instagram. And you use your iphone camera. Whatever your phone camera on your phone. Chances are you're used to thinking of food like as a vertical kind of proposition but a lot of the crops we need for our websites are landscape sort of orientation and that means you need to sit there and get both orientations and and I know that sounds like okay. Well that's just easy. You turn your phone but man. You'd be surprised how easy it is to forget. You know like taking like multiple orientations of something so those a lot having to do with kind of leaving negative space. When you're taking photographs making sure they can see plenty of surface to that they can crop in with different dimensions and different sort of aspect ratios but then yeah just the simple fact of a landscape and you had mentioned taking your food out to your backyard or you guys trying to shoot everything and natural light. Yeah I mean I don't know about you sola but I have to like the the light in my apartment you know like I don't have any kind of lighting setup you know so we're really behold into to natural light whether that's like a great window location indoors or really in my case it's got to be outside so the weather has to definitely cooperate. One day the wind was blowing Chili flakes off of my plate into my eyes all over my surface. It was. It was pretty extreme which photos just so the listener can get a sense of what it's like for you guys to shoot something at home. And then I know you work with Lower Murray and our footer department to help sort of tune up the the finished product. What photos are up now on site that each of you have shot that the listeners can go take? I don't think anything from me. I think soon you're gonNA see some dumplings. That was fun because I had to get my husband to help me He was the chopstick hand model. And then it was kind of interesting trying to like. Get the right angle to somehow. Like get where. He is. Get the camera where he is critical about you. Anything up on side right now the listeners. Check out what I have done. Let's see spring hot and sour soup. That's unhealthy ish. And then I did a pantry pasta recipe. That was tied to the youtube videos. We did of all of us doing pantry pastas. That's going to be basically. I think it's going live today but it's like a Pantry. Pasta with anchovies peas. And then yeah how this oxtail recipe. I'm going to be working on from chef. Kwami on at Kith and kin. So yeah excited to get going on that. But everything's been slow. You know getting to groceries this stuff that we need has been slower. We have to plan so far ahead so it's not just the weather it's like literally what's in the fridge typically Solo. You are someone. How should I put this? You can be rather meticulous with your testings and you can go through multiple iterations of a dish till you get to a point that you're content with it so I know you've been developing this. Is it a peanut butter and Jelly pies academic helping this for Ba from before quarantine like it feels like? I spent my entire life making this guy and I don't know why so. Are you just ordering lots of peanut butter through through five peanut debriefing or five jars of peanut butter? My husband just got sixty ounces of frozen fruit this morning from target. It's due on Thursday. Wish we look how. How many versions of the Pie of you created so? I guess the hardest thing is because I don't have everyone's feedback. I just keep going back and forth so I made some hand pies and then I did some pop tarts with an icing did pie pie and then for fun. I just thought I'd try slap pie but I think Chris. I think Pi Pi Regular Pie might be the way to go really so this is so interesting. Because this recipe and like this development process has taken a journey that really started back one World Trade Center like six weeks ago. I WanNa say and I feel like we've been sort of responding almost in real time with this recipe to like what's going on in the world in terms of like the ability of it right so like I like. This was like okay. This is like kind of an opportunity to do something. That's like not crazy difficult but like a little bit more of a showstopper you know. Maybe there's like a kind of fruit meringue situation happening on top lot of color and then it was like ratcheted right back to this needs to be like a hand pie like literally make some dough slap peanut butter slap some some jelly in their closet up boom done so. I think it's been interesting to sort of see the evolution of this recipe. And you know how it's almost like kind of just responding to like. What do we think people are up for now you know? Do they need a project or they just want something. That's kind of simple and delicious. You know what I think. I think that there's that saying whatever I it's not about the destination it's about the journey. I think with Sola. The recipe is always about the journey. You leave no stone. Have to make it as bad as possible. I need to get the depths of hell before I can see the light. I basically I think that if I don't like try it with all of the flowers and know what's terrible than I. Just don't feel good about it

"Us at Bob Solas ministries dot com. We just revamped the website. A couple of hours ago prices are lower and we have a few extra products and a little bit more variety and we're going to have hats coming soon. Tumblers we are excited to be able to partner with Corn Burien pat full in my life and ministry and we just WANNA show stands out as much as possible so so first off because you just assume everyone knows and they should know what five solas ministries so. Why don't you explain what five Solas Ministry is your podcast? What it is that you're selling for folks that they could get you you mentioned tumblers but talk about the rest of stuff that you guys have there and then you know how much of that again is going to Karm? Yes so pasta was ministry. Is it's always been Kinda my goal to branch off in have my own ministry and reason being because I was under the Prosperity Gospel for quite a while once out saved and other ministries as seen have an impact on people's lives like Karm striving for Eternity Justin Peters ministries. I want to who create a ministry where I was providing people with theologically rich content at a level that they could understand so I wanted to break everything down to a level so this really catered to new believers but I also I think there's a lot of edification for more mature believers. We have many guests that come on the podcast <unk> podcast and I just didn't episode on suicide and Depression in the church because that's the way that Lord drew me too himself was through a near suicide attempt so I'm very passionate on that topic and really really mob ideology behind it as I want to be as transparent and openness possible in my ministry with the struggles ruggles face on a day to day basis still a depression hits me. Take Me Kinda hard right now but by God's grace I get through it and really see the light of Christ and that's what I want to share with other believers but right now ministries and really the products that we offer just the way to help provide the website around the web hosting calls. That's the way that we pay for everything through the shirts that we create <hes> which we have a five solar shirt series right now matt has one coming to him that as well as some of the Gospel try that we have because you large Oh yeah it is well met probably needs an extra extra large but I'm glad you're sending Him Gospel Muscle Cramps Send Him Lots of Gospel Tracts. Maybe he'll read them and get saved. We've had such an outworn we haven't had as much of star was due to the holiday but <hes> we have had a lot of orders for the Gospel so much that we've sold out a two of ships come true but you know we do a lot of custom sub to we <hes> we've had gospel try go into Scotland into Poland across <hes> in just about every single state so far so we're excited for God allowing us to grow and I am very grateful for allowing me to Gospel throughout the world. which I think is the biblical Kodama for every Christian? That's a new concept. Where'd you get that out of sounds very familiar like Matthew Twenty eight nineteen right? Oh that's what that is you know it's not talked about enough another and I think I think every believer has their own set of gifts and it's really trying to identify what gifts are in I in the love writing the Gospel out in the simplistic way that people can understand Andrew has some of the Gospel try. It's do not know his failing him so I wanted to create it where people could easily real well I you're saying I have some it and I get a correct you on that <hes> so you sent me a whole bunch to take to California with me when we were out going out there to do some evangelism and you're right that I have a few because literally that's all. I have left these three now. I don't know how many you sent me but that's all I got left. Is these three so here's some of them in and Matt Yeah. You could probably read them from here. If you you know the Gloria there you go like that yeah well. He's trying to say he wrote it for my eyes but we all know who's older and it's older. That's for sure definitely definitely and uglier. I'm definitely older and uglier. Hold on you. Want me to ask your wife. My Wife's getting she'll have my back. So how old are you forgot. You like fifty fifty one twelve years or eleven. I've eleven years okay. That's right yeah and you got way more than eleven years on the ugly factor so I'm just just saying don't don't blame the Messenger sounds good all right James you're going to be you're going to be donating this to Karm for the for the rest of the month so folks checkout five solas ministries actually check as if I solo or Solis Bob Solis minutes five Solis his ministry's Dot Com not dot org which was I kept trying to look for yeah and we're doing the twenty five percent donation now until the fourteenth and then after that it'll be fifteen percent for the remainder of the month so <music>. I'm really I'm really. I really want to bless those guys this weekend so I'm going to really push as hard as I can to to get it done for them all right call up on the radio show and give a plug for it. Yeah sure sure yeah sure anymore it because you like mad have a perfect face for radio so I just couldn't help it. You know you can't help yourself in a lot of areas all right well and we may be bringing someone mad if he's been seeing in the chat someone who's been <hes> getting a little bit impatient here in able to speak. We'll see how the conversation goes and let me see what the name is Ed. Let's at its it at. It's so edits you can mute yourself and ask your question you know some of the stuff he was saying while waiting from Tim you themselves <hes> wanted to argue against a simulation mutilation viewpoint so I don't know why what is it now now. The saying Mike now working had all this time. Here's your chance so I don't know let's let's see if he says so. Try To reread what he was saying and maybe you can answer he says how can we argue against a simulation viewpoint when I try to reply to the question region VI observation and science they ask. How do you know your observation are not part of the simulation so I guess the simulation viewpoint of be well yeah like the Matrix tricks movie which I actually had to go watch understand why everyone kept referring to it where we live in a matrix? We live in some great simulation yeah so how would you argue against that. I already have written articles on this article on on Solipsism you that it is a variation of the same thing but the laws of logic are one thing and <hes> and and what are some of the arguments that way it's been a long time. The Laws of logic cannot be produced in your own mind in an absolute sense and you violate them and yet they're also the same laws and went through that issue and it was some other things about self reputation so contradiction. Let's see solipsism. You're you're you're. You're really should just notice that <hes> Charlie already posted the that article. You just know that Charlie is always going to beat us to posting links to Karm. I think he knows Karm better than you met. I think so is getting there. He finds articles at carn faster than you do. Well here. We've got a lot of little points are lot. There's a lot here <hes> in an inconsistency in solipsism and maybe in the similar view depending on what he means at this at this person tries to convince someone else that is his view correct and isn't he arguing his own mind since he's arguing with someone who doesn't affirmed at this all just mind is all there is so there's in assimilation trying to convince in assimilation is arguing against that <hes> that assimilation assimilation view that wouldn't apply to that apply to a solid cysts yeah. I'd have to go through it again. It's been a long truly also dropped an article here to <hes> an article I guess he had on <hes> simulation theory natural truth so are we living in a simulation and the nature of truth so you have an article there <hes>. It looks like you go through a discussion with someone called brother didn't even know I did that says what I say. Charlie Charlie knows the website better than you and you wrote the article St users a search engine or maybe you should do that once in a while I was I didn't know bus simulation issue too. That's a long time ago all right so let us move on the next person here would be mark so let's add him in here and bring in him his volume up mark. You're on with Matt and Andrew Unapologetic Live. What questions do you have for us? Angel I'm learning so much of this <hes> socialism and the link between <hes> the view in Christianity because I started a started listening to J._d.. Hall and he's really into this Social Marxists idea and what is actually doing so would <hes> an element you said you you you do some homeless on this <hes> but I was just curious to know both of you like in terms of richer. How far apart is this this ideology and waste rich? What's the distance is is in some ways and close to what the Bible brings? I'm not the following year so market. You're you <hes> some with your connection. You keep freezing up so maybe maybe turn your video off and that way there'd be a little bit less and end with U._N.. With problems and then maybe we can get the questions tried against oily. Don't know okay. You're on your on your phone. I think right on a wants to tap the phone. You should see a camera button. That'll just turn off the camera. Try that try and do that. Sorry guys now where you're coming in good now to try it again. Let's see if <hes> just maybe that'll be better nail.

"Now. It's thanks for doing this, man. Oh, yeah. I've watched a like so many other people free solo about a week ago and never sat through a movie in like, I just kept and emailed you guys. Jimmy like my hand it, dude. It was how the fact that you know, the ending. And yet you still are like, yeah. It's kinda. Remind won't let you know by the state is gonna fall while Bank. I didn't know you're here, right? But it does bring me to this. My my ultimate question, which I'll start with which normally not supposed to is there. No eighty year old free climbers or seven year. There's there are few there. Few older dues that the freeze. All I mean. That's actually one thing in the film that I think is a little overstated maybe wouldn't talks about free solo all sort of dying because a lot of the Solis that they mentioned, you know, worse significance all this. But they died actually base jumping or doing or sort of freak accidents. You like one sort of conspicuous SOLAS from the last decade died in like a rogue wave took them out to see basically. And then, you know, then found the body so that doesn't count when. No, exactly. But so then a couple of the other guys died base jumping and then a couple of SOLAS have died under easy terrain. Just sort of falling off things that should be kind of casual. And I like to say that no SOLAS has ever died doing anything cutting edge. That's the that's the real statistic right there. Wait, let no no free Solis has ever died. Doing anything cutting edge like pushing the actual, you know, edges of reselling. Yeah. So I mean in some ways that's how you can kinda judge. How dangerous sport is if if the people at the elite are dying doing the league thing, and they're also beginners. I'm basically like if you look at sport like beige, I mean, people die all the way across the spectrum beginners. They've never done a diet. And then people who are the best in the field. Also, die doing it. And you're in between. It's just like everybody does free sellings not really like that. And base jumping is this squirrel thing or base jumping off of squirrels yellow, actually, it was that's called wing suiting. And so that's normally the base rate is just like the parachute that used to jump off. It's an acronym. Sensor buildings antennas spans earth. So like bridges cliffs things like that. But the base pretty it's way more hardcore than skydiving skydiving. You have two parachutes and there's way more time, and you have a bigger canopy. And it's all it's all safer. What struck me is that you know, because as the film goes on obviously you're getting higher and higher L cab is three thousand vertical..

There's a there's a bureau of the kid from from American Beauty just watching. It's so beautiful. He just flaps about in the wind. It's the most beautiful thing I've ever seen. And okay. So then I'm a sucker for a doomed romance. Solis? So this is a doomed guy. Oh, yeah. So first of all he's spoiler alert for the ending which confused the hell out of so many places. Yeah. Because here's the thing. Most players are like me where like if you're talking about fucking. It's fucking. So you'll like skip almost all the time. This. "Well, really wanted to prove that malaria was caused by the anopheles mosquito which is and no one will believe him. And so he got full into called Mr. Sola to be locked in a room in a tiny box for eleven days filled with malaria infected mosquitoes. Until. Jeez. Yeah. Yeah. I mean. Oh, wow. And this thing is we know that he got malaria because it was his accessible experiment. So this guy dot degrassi was thrilled. He was like now, I've proven that the most cures malaria. And in his case notes. He writes, the rest of the history of Mr. SOLAS case has no interest for us. But it is now certain that mosquitoes carrying malaria, so Mike did not care. Wow. I was looking into the idea of all these old. You know suggestions for how you cure things outside malaria, everyone every single disease seem to have an eccentric thing assigned to it. And one of my favorite ones is if you had swollen is the way that they suggested doctors suggested that you cure. It was that you tied a live crab to a necklace on your chest. And you just let it live there. And I mean, nobody will notice your soul of is ever again. Probably around your that. Could you just have a live crap in that will cure it? Cool. I didn't know swollen is was thing around this Krupp kill that was so successful. That's why everyone is getting wiped it out. Yeah. I was just saying before about these mosquitoes in Townsville, the goodness send them out to have sex with the mosquitoes, and I looked into how mosquitoes have sex one interesting thing, I found is the females that bite you, and so what some male mosquitoes will do is they'll find a human, and then just hung around the human waiting for females to come. So the human is just like a singles bar or something. Likely you might just have a little mosquito flying around you off God's sake and these just waiting for of lady mosquito. It's quite risky them landing on either going to that bar is a risky affair because I didn't really have the dating scene. You're gonna put yourself out there, and they do, but the reason they suck blood is to feed the eggs. So that's why it's only the females. But they as soon as they've sucked it there. So they can't move anymore. So every time mostly just sucking on your blood is risking so live because if you split it, and it's what it in time. And that's why you often can it can't really fly away. It's got this giant sack of blood now inside it really worse for them than it is we're gonna have to move on in the second. Or next fact, do you wanna say something, Andy or no? It's just a follow on from that ready, but it's not relevant enough to to end the second. Oh god. It's not good. It's not good. It's just the mosquitoes victims as much as we are because they're carrying the malaria parasite, but there's a theory that mosquitoes are actually made a bit crazy by having the parasite inside them. And it makes them extra keen to suck blood. Yes. It anyway, but the parasite makes them basically like vampire mosquitoes interesting is they get sick mosquitoes get sick. So it's a bit harsh on them. If they've got this malaria parasite, they're sick. And also, we blame them for kind of spreading it. But mosquitoes don't aeroplanes and fly around and stuff like that. Tito, stay near a little place where they live. Well, happens is humans get bitten humans go somewhere else, and they get bit and again and make Paul mosquito sick. And then that mosquito gets other people say, so it's the humans who are doing all the spreading around the pole mosquitoes it just playing around getting sick. And then get squashed. The real enemy is..

"And then finally one of the things that we think is really important are who is actually reaching out to you people who is trying to talk to you people are campaigns trying to and what we're finding is that those numbers the number of young people the percent of young people saying that they've been reached out to buy campaign is the same as this point in the two thousand sixteen election, which is remarkable. Now that differs amongst young people quite a bit. But those are just some of the examples of. We're seeing this year do young Republicans feel like they're being reached out to because I know there are lots of efforts on the democratic side to try to reach younger voters, but on the Republican side somewhat less of a priority. Is that one of the divisions that you're seeing where are there similarities between young people of both parties? That's a great point. And it is one of the gaps that we're seeing we're absolutely not seeing young people who registered Republican party saying that they're contacted as much as young young Democrats. However, it is at the same rate that we saw in two thousand sixteen the real drop that we're seeing is the rate that young people who identify as independent unaffiliated are saying that they're being contacted which is dramatically different than it was interesting. I wonder if this is people talking about this midterms is really being a base turn out election. If that's sort of a reflection of campaign strategies, we got to focus on the people. We know are with us. Interesting. Interesting. Well, sort of might my last question, then is around weather. Young people actually think their vote can make a difference. You know in. 2016 you had a lot of young people turn out. But maybe maybe not as many given how much that election. Just seemed crazy dominated everything, you know, younger voters may not have turned out in as big numbers as other generations. Do have their views on whether their vote can have an impact hasn't changed since two thousand sixteen election in short. Yes. Okay. And it's remarkable one of the things that we did again is to use some of the questions that we use post-election in two thousand sixteen to try to understand do young people feel a sense of that they're with other people, you know, in being engaged in thinking about issues, what we call a culture of engagement, and we are seeing increases since post-election two thousand sixteen in young people sinking. That civic engagement is important thinking that as a group young people can make change in this country and that crosses political parties. So not only did we see a majority of young people say that young people can create change, but we saw both Republicans and young Democrats saying that which is really remarkable. And I think really important that all young people have an opportunity to have their voice. Heard very recently. We had Taylor swift come out make a plea to her followers for them to vote. I am skeptical that there is going to be a strong causal relationship there between Taylor's call and increased use voting in part because I think young people were already primed to turn out in bigger numbers expected. Thank you so much Abby for joining us. It's been wonderful having you this has been a head of the trend. I'm Kristen SOLAS Anderson.
