The Left Is the Reason for the Spike in Crime

"Horrible story out of New York a 30 year old PhD candidate. I think computer science was randomly stabbed to death. A lot of stabbings to death taking place. Differently, it's an issue of knife control that we have to get engaged in. The national night association has to stop its activities. Crime in New York City is so horrific I think of deaths are up. I think 45%. And it is all as a result of the left completely 100%. So what will happen is they'll clamp down they may even elect a conservative. They might be a Democrat because it's almost impossible for Republican in New York City. And the crime will be reduced, and then they'll go back to electing leftists. That's what happens. I've lived long enough to see the pattern. Republicans or conservatives fix the destruction of the left and then people forget what the left did and reelect them to destroy once again, and it's an ever ongoing cycle of evil. Needless to say, I read about the extent to the extent that we know about the guy who stabbed him to death. This gang member, and he has an extremely long rap sheet. Why do people with wrong rap sheets? Get out of prison because of the left. Because they have this, they have this belief that people should not be put in prison for long periods of time. Especially a black and then the black, the blacks that are let out of prison or not put in prison usually hurt other blacks, in this case it was a wife student. Who was stabbed to death. Then he went over and stabbed somebody else.

"You know we discussed at length yesterday on the show How the big Moe and it's not it's not an obese guy named mo but the big mo momentum is a real thing in politics And the big mo momentum is going against Joe Biden There's not a single sphere Joe Biden is touched Immigration economy healthcare education whatever it may be that he hasn't destroyed and decimated And it's all starting to turn right now This is not good news for the country The jobs report came out today They were expecting 500,000 jobs produced The number they got 210,000 for the liberals listing that's less than half They were people on MSNBC confidently crowing this morning in case you missed it which you probably did because no one actually watches MSNBC outside of the racial madhouse show But they were confidently crawling this morning Oh we're going to get 600,000 jobs Yeah not so much

Joe Biden's Approval Rating Is 36% Because Nobody Trusts Him Anymore

"The big Moe's turning against them Another reason the big mow is turning against Joe Biden and momentum is going against It was not just because of his dreadful policies But nobody trusts him anymore Folks the guy I can't say this enough He keeps telling his autobiography autobiographical story and it's in the fiction section of the story He just keeps making stuff up every day So it's bad enough that his portfolio of policies is failing based on every available metric Labor force participation inflation consumer sentiment GDP growth It's gone down since he's gotten to office based on every single available touchable feel about metric Joe Biden is losing But Democrats usually run cover for Brad Democrat presidents when their policies blow it So why is Joe Biden at a uniquely low 36% right now approval rate Well not just his policy suck but the guy can't get out of his own way when he's telling his own life story and nobody trusts the guy anymore Listen folks one of the most damaging political narratives out there is a political narrative that changes a preexisting thought about who you thought a candidate or a person was You know it's why I make the case to you during the 2016 campaign that all stuff I came out about Donald Trump You know everybody had already heard it before They'd heard it before It didn't change a preexisting narrative about people already heard it before They already understood it all Think about Biden as Biden ran in 2020 against Trump as a stability agent As a guy who was going to level off these emotional peaks and valleys the country was going to under Trump That's what he ran on there He ran as like a man of integrity as a lunch bucket Joe was a Scranton kid Folks the reason this guy's approval ratings are 36% is because none of that's

Congress Poised to Change Tax Laws

"Charlie, you and I were emailing and the house and the senator about to change the tax laws of the United States. I've been telling people all week long as soon as that happens, they should take a number of years of their past returns, call you up and find out whether or not the right kind of client high income client. And that you've got to look at that. Am I right? They're about to change the tax laws. They're about to change a tax loss of the tax laws have wavered back and forth between various proposals, there was the wealth tax. There was the family plan and now there's build back in America. And we've been fortunate that we've had two reasonable democratic senators that have essentially allowed us to Dodge a major tax bill and I believe they've not been able to enact much of the legislation that would have affected many of our listeners, but nonetheless the Biden administration wants to substantially increase marginal rates to build back America plan has many changes in it and the reality is. I formed my CPA firm two decades ago to help clients recover dollars at the unnecessarily payment form of state and federal income taxes in most CPAs are simply historians and we do a very good job of helping clients mitigate that cost. And doing simply what other CPA don't.

Trauma Dumping (MM #3908)

"The NASA minute. With Kevin mason yesterday I was talking about oversharing on social media. And then of course, late last night, a story pops up on the Internet because you know it's listening, talking about not only oversharing, but a new phenomenon called trauma dumping. After you've had a tough day at work or had a bad day or had a fight with your spouse or something like that, people turn to friends to offload their frustrations and their anger. But that becomes problematic when they dump it on places like Facebook because they're bringing people into their business as I said their oversharing, but oversharing to horrible extremes. And what happens is what we're seeing in the world today, where people tend to act in extreme ways, and because they're looking for people to feed them to tell them they're right. It becomes problematic when people start actually acting out of those things in real life. The reality is there's a lot going on, whether it's in family, whether it's with friends that doesn't need to be shared with many people, let alone your entire social media follower or friend list. It's kind of scary to think that maybe part of the problem of what's going on in our world today.

"Okay, so you get a job on Days of Our Lives. So you are quote unquote a secular actor, but you're still very much walking with lord. Yeah. Yeah, very much so. And that's what sort of this book is about. All of the conversations that I have had through the years. Several of them I shared in my last book, which is called it's never too late. And when I was my literary agent here in New York, a person very different from myself. He's a man. Number one, he's a male. He's Asian. He's gay and he was raised a Buddhist. But he's a fantastic guy and I love him. And he told me that what he liked the most about the last book that we had all done together with the stories of like when I shared Jesus with Craig Ferguson on a set in a movie that I wrote for you. I want to talk to you about this kind of stuff. So we're going there folks. But yeah, so that's Kevin Costner or that tell that story in this one. And he said, Kathy, because you've had a different kind of life experience because of the world that you have made your living in. Right. But I was exactly where I was supposed to be. And as a result, every time I had an opportunity to share Jesus or a scripture or just anything any moment that the Holy Spirit would give me in my own spirit, I'd know say it, say it in love, say it intended to say it and humor. You know, say it in a way that will not speak gently and tenderly to people and make them laugh, too, if you can. And they will take notice. And I probably, and I thank Billie with all my heart for this, because he became a very dear friend. I have probably reached millions and millions and millions of people with the gospel. I'm not saying that like, yay, me, I'm saying, that's because I'm fulfilling my

Kathie Lee Gifford Explains Who Jesus Is in New Book 'The Jesus I Know'

"Gifford, the book is the Jesus. I know, honest conversations and diverse opinions about who he is. So it seems like already in the title Cathy, you are, you're kind of going out of your way to make a statement that the Jesus that we hear about or that a lot of people have heard about is not quite who Jesus is. In other words, a lot of people have gotten a lot of bad religious ideas about Jesus, and they have kept him at arm's length. And you, in your life, have made an effort to have conversations with people to lead him to who Jesus really is. I believe that Jesus shows up in people's lives in different ways. He's a custom made God. He loves us as individuals. That's why I can't stand this cookie cutter mentality in the culture we live in today look like I do. Breathe like I do. Worship like I do vote like I do, you know, speak just all the same mumbo jumbo. I repel it from it because I recoil from it because that's the antithesis of what God did when he created us. It's so much trouble. Snowflakes have a completely different DNA, millions and billions and billions. And we do too. And then the world tries to make us all the same. And I just believe that that's also why I left college. I went to a Christian college and I left. Because I knew I was different and I said, they should not mess with my difference. God is not pleased when we mess with people's differences. We're like, we're offending him. Wait a minute, I made Eric to be a smart butt. You know to act that way. You know, he can work on that compliment or what was that? He can work on some of it, we'll work together, but our idiosyncrasies and our piccadilly and all those kinds of things are what make us unique. And since you're challenging me now to correct you when you did piccadilly pick it up. Take a little puck a little pick a little bit.

Kathie Lee Gifford: Jesus Wouldn't Stand for Cancel Culture

"Help. But by the way, I did it. So did you? Yes. There is nobody that I love more than Martin Short. He's absolute genius. Thinking genius and one of the he was so, so good to me. He's very sweet man to me. Not like those others. Not like Howard Stern. Hey. But even Howard Stern. Even Howard Stern, after 30 years of praying for him asked me to forgive him. I know. So, you know what? I know. That's why I can't stand this cancel culture. You know what? Jesus never canceled anybody. Jesus went out of his way to find people. Find the destitute, find the broken find the ones that had been thrown out of community, thrown out of relationships, dying from disease. You were that you were the person who went out looking for. And then when he had his disciples, he said, oh yeah, and if you're going to follow me, you're going to go there too. You're going to go to the other side, where the unloved the unclean. The saved live. And you're going to you're not going to say you're going to go to hell if you don't believe in me. You're going to say, I'm going to love you like Jesus does. And that's how we're going to that's how we're going to fill the kingdom up. With people because they were loved. Jesus, and you love because I first loved you. And it all comes out of a place of love. And we've always gotten that wrong in western culture. I think the western Christian church. And that's why I study rabbinically in Israel to learn what the Bible really says.

"so many people" Discussed on Bitcoin Audible

"This. That i really really want to stress. Because it's an incredibly important idea that so many people completely miss an particular when someone often when someone is criticizing bitcoin. They fail to make this very simple recognition of exactly how the security and the trust looseness of the system is possible and that quote is close to the end here. it says quote souto. She realized that the only real world asset that can be linked to a system in a trust lists. Manner is energy. Nothing else every other thing no matter if it's gold paper certificates real estate or strawberries. Reintroduces a trusted third party because of the inherent disconnect between the digital and the physical world so for anyone who criticizes bitcoin ford not being by something or needing a basket of goods or the plethora of other related ignorant claims about its value and or lack thereof. What they're actually arguing is the decentralized digital value digital value without an owner without a without a source of authority isn't possible on its face. That's the real disconnect. They believe that there must be something physical for any value to exist at all which means it must be hierarchical and it must have a trusted third party because there is nothing else. There is no way to connect a physical thing to the digital world. Without those the truth the obvious truth really. It blows my mind. This is so difficult for people to grasp or just to stop and look around is that we have virtual and digital value everywhere everywhere. It's astonishing how much digital value we have at these exact same people cannot wrap their heads around or stop and look around for long enough to realize an insurance contract is completely virtual. A any sort of contract or agreement is entirely virtual. How have you ever paid for a piece of software ever even once. Are we saying the bulk of apple's revenue on selling software and apps and platforms that go on their hardware. This is not real value. Just stop and think about the value of a social network or a language for that matter. What is it really was the value of a social network. Is it valuable because it's backed by. Its servers is the value of twitter. The number of servers that it runs on what is the value. What about language. What's what's a language worth. We literally pay people full-time salaries. People spend their devote. Their entire lives just to learning multiple languages and teaching those languages to others. What is the value of that. How could something completely made up. Completely virtual have attained that much value. What is it. I mean it must be physical. That's what i'm told it can't be did. The actual value of a social network of a language of these other. What i have seen is is far more of an indicator of sort of their openness. If they've experienced a lot of harm in their family from addiction it can be really difficult not to have this. Knee jerk reaction to You know what it feels like. You're saying are pain is not real or that sort of thing i would would say. No no no no. That's not at all what what i want to say. That's absolutely just as valid as the person who is sitting in jail. They're paying from being incarcerated in the family members on the outside so a caveat to that would be just that i would say no one is talking about that. If somebody steals the were commits an assault against someone. Nowhere talking about drug policy changes. Anybody saying you know what if you're using drugs you can do whatever you want. You can still. You can assault people and we're just gonna we're just gonna say it doesn't matter because you're using drugs that's not true. That's not true if you're high or you're drunk or you're sober. If you if you steal something you get arrested for not drug use. We're not talking about that and so there's accountability for hurting other people. We're talking really about the crimes that we currently consider. Crimes related to possession or should the market be underground or not so But we've just found that that so many people are open to this conversation when it's presented to them In a way that is respectful and kind and open and willing to and let people be wherever they are on the journey..

"So once you get your basic needs taken care of if you can lead with kindness and lead with value and lead with helping other people I believe it's gonna come full circle and and be able to. It's rewarding for me to be able to help other people and The people that are successful that That have have just really paved incredible path. They've been where we are and and they're willing to help other people like me. You're like anybody else this starting out in. So you try to attract this kind of people and just be around those kind of people they energize you and and they want to build you up and so this is a great opportunity to find those people that are positive throughout this. This experience that we're all going through and gravitate towards those people and and live off of that energy. And just try to maintain some positivity because in a world full of just all kinds of just unhealthy stuff healthy fun supportive relationships people want that and And if we can keep giving leading with that. I think i think it's gonna make different than everybody else. And i think it attracts attracts goo things. I'm so glad you mentioned that because we are in a world with so much noise and is so much negativity going on and it's so refreshing to hear someone say okay. Let's be positive. But i think so many times people think oh my goodness if if if i help her then that's going to take away from me. Yeah yeah yeah. And it's.

"Might need to revisit my social media. Everybody has it and like. I think we're all gonna doing it. But i think that comedy you're trying to make a profession out of it so early the healthiest. That's true and if you have that perfect childhood. There's not a lot of material there. While i think specific psyche involved with the comics brain like your brain is not operating in the exact way like people who wanna do what you're doing because so many people are like i could never do that and you're like well that's healthy. It's not like a healthy thing to to want to be a comedian. I don't think yeah i think. That is part of the generalization when people look at comedians. Like right that there are people who are struggling and and not just comedians but also creatives of a of stripes the people who are trying to express themselves for a living yeah right. Comedians actors artists writers. You name it. It's all something where you're expressing yourself for doing. I find it kind of as we talk it out a little bit. I find that kinda sad. That that's the generalization that these people who are trying to bring lessons beauty into the world are tend to be the ones if we go with this generalization who are not healthy in a lotta ways well but yeah but you can look at it as a negative thing or you could say that people who've experienced pain in their are more empathetic towards others and want to bring joy to them if it's coming from a pure place and not an ego centric place it's like. Oh you have empathy for people in pain and so hopefully you have good intentions where you want to lift others up like that. So what what. I what i'm hearing. What i'm wanting to hear is that comedians and creatives are the same ones are the same are the same. These are the same ones trying to the world..

"Not what I think I could or I should be doing but what I really really want because so many people there was like this this huge wave of fear. Right? Like there's something going on. We will all die. It was like the first like, oh my gosh to bypass. Oh wow. And there was this fear that were like, oh my gosh. What am I going to do? And and what is really I get sick and I die. Right so people start connecting with people deeper calling their family right and being more connect that Zoom calls. I know we couldn't be maybe in person but we started to connect on a deeper level and asking ourselves deeper questions because there was so many lockdown depending on location, but people left that they had to spend time with themselves if they like it or not, you know be in that room with themselves be in that relationship that marriage right and they couldn't go out and they couldn't go out and them and you know be drinking partying shopping, you know, all these things like suddenly there was so many I have moments and so many moments when people realize like okay, I don't want to do this anymore and what if this will ants like if my life will end and I am okay with that. It's such an important question to ask. Yourself whether there's tons emocore notes asking yourself if nothing ever changes in my life. Am I okay with that? So many people say that they are not dead. It's such a simple question. But really you don't often think about it feel into that but drop into your heart and ask yourself if nothing ever changes in my okay, right? very true I like it. "Your greatest opportunity to succeed and it may sound like i'm giving some old you know inspirational motivational crap. And i only say something. If i've lived it. Yeah and that's the truth. So that right now is a moment where people are frustrated. They don't think there's opportunity and that's okay because there is no opportunity for a large amount of people but some people will find great opportunity. You just have to make up your mind to be one of them. Yeah i know. I like the idea that it's a choice. I think you. And i share similar philosophies in that you know we all controlled our own steering wheel right. We all get to determine which way we're going to turn the car and go. And i came to me off the top of my head. I didn't even do. I should write that down. No but seriously. Like i feel like there's a lot of mentality out there where people look for things to blame like this didn't happen because of this external factor or this thing happened or that thing happened whereas really those people who find success. Don't let that noise distract them. They just kind of pushed through it and you know go whatever direction they need to go and that's just the mindset that so many people can not adopt and i get it's hard but it's necessary right i tell people look for exclamations explanations not excuses because you learn if something that you did or something somebody else did causes some sort of a challenger negative thing you learn what to do next time but you don't use it as an excuse to say well if this is what. If this hadn't happened i would be well right. You know it's like life life happens. Yeah there will always be obstacles. Everybody has a story and it's not an excuse. No no so okay. I like this conversation on obstacles. Because i read in your bio where you said and i want to go into some depth here you said life is all about our obstacles right..

"I think it's important that we stop every once in a while and think about where we are going and if it's the way we'd really prefer to be going because from my experience most people are not going where they want to be going. They have just convinced themselves. That is the only choice for them. They've fenced themselves in. We all create these little mental prisons for ourselves. Lead us to believe that we have no way out that this is the best we can do or that. We are comfortable enough that it doesn't really seem to matter anymore and you know it's true that in life we do have some obligations and commitments and we have things in our life that you know. Maybe we wouldn't want to change. Maybe it's our families may be. It's our romantic partners or hobbies or passion. Or you know all our any of these things but that doesn't mean that there aren't areas in our life that we do want to change or that can change just because there are happy things in our life have these things exist doesn't mean that we can't redefine areas of life. We can still find liberation. We can still be our own kind of free spirit. It's strange because this whole pandemic has caused so many people to really reevaluate their lives on as devastating as this whole thing has been for so many people. I think is also again at wake wakeup call for a lot of people. It's made a lot of people really question what they value. What is actually important in their lives. And maybe what has been lacking a revelation that i had during this time is that i need to continue to put effort into making my own life and adventure to keep seeing what i can see learning what i can learn and helping out in any way i can. That is something that is extremely important to me. I think that we get or we can get so sleepy and lazy with our own lives because we are just so burned out and so uninspired a lot of.

"How can brands or marketers. Get involved in audio in your mind. You're at the forefront of where audio is going some curious where you think people should be getting involved so i like to think about it as <hes>. Two types of activities. They should be included in thinking about it. As let's bit in in order and on audio okay. When i thought about in all your means they should start placing their message their brand their marketing activity within the audio dimension itself. So either if they can do it. Then i recommend produce their own podcast upload their own content so much like they've invested in creating blogs before in order to deliver the directly their message with no intermittent intimate in in between they should create a podcast where they can add their own voice in story through it. Because people would like to listen about your company if they're going to start in investigating into your product and they wanna hear about it and as audio breasts and others are gonna make all your more accessible and searchable you want your clips in your story to be heard than to be included so within the audio by producing it or by exactly like what we're doing right now being interviewed by making sure that your product is exposed to podcasters lead casses review. Your product. understand what you're doing interview you place your message within the stream of audio because it's going to be extremely popular and that's where people are going to learn and get information and would like to hear about your brand okay. That's the first level that they can do. The second is what i consider the on audio as audio becomes more and more popular more emotional people become more connected with it. It creates an opportunity to sponsor all your to support audio so and they don't have to appear in the content itself but they can place their brand around it in sponsoring playlist sponsoring podcast. Creating an audio event within their of third party of curation of content is relevant to their vertical and the topic but brought to you by this or that. So let's say that i'm an. We'll go back to the automotive industry. Let's emma brandon wants to emphasize car safety and safe a driving than perhaps i created this audio event of curation with podcasters around it or existing onto the we've selected and connected and we recommend our customers to listen to that kind of content all brought to you by my brand as an example saying goes for the running shoes same. We'll go for any other brand marketer that wants to create that brand affinity between their brand and the topic and the content that they're potential customers care about. That's the on audio marketing. So you don't have to produce it an appearance in it you can just curate. It and you can create stories around the be the content. Dj of your customer. That's the kind of refill and marketing activities can do around audio and it reminds me. I've said this before on the show but it reminds me of <hes>. Frankly like going way back in time when there were only three or four. Tv stations and the advertisers or sponsors were more intimately involved in not just being on on air so to speak sponsoring or or helping but they many times helped to craft the program itself and the being in the show so to speak or in audio and there's elements to that i think based on what you described it. I mean it's just a much bigger ecosystem to play in now and so many more different applications to do it. But i think you nailed it in terms of like just being in the program in the audio or surrounding yourself around or on the audio. It's kind of an interesting way to break it apart.

You might as well have that audio in your head because you're not really watching the screen anyway. Another application for content in general. So let's talk about like how can brands or marketers. Get involved in audio in your mind. You're at the forefront of where audio is going some curious where you think people should be getting involved so i like to think about.

They connect themselves to whatever thought is taking place at that moment. And so if you live your life just say so ideal. You will always be living in this state of never having a solid foundation because your feelings are always in and out. Is that something you have to do? In a long term relationship, like just go check into a hotel by yourself. I'm just gonna take some time for yourself. Is that like a key? What? You know, that's the person I've never done anything like that. And I wanted to do because I've been so busy running just like all of you. Are they ramping. Those up and calling it covert when it. Actually it is the flu. It's a question that remains to be answered hopefully at some point in the future. Because it's not going to happen now because people are too hyped up hopefully in the future. We'll get some answers on this. Yes and don't takes some time Some people believe that You know that that figures got funded from the very beginning. Tests were Fallible and they admit that now they they admit it now But early on there were so many people reporting and and that is that if if a person just was record as positive now that we know the tests don't mean a whole lot. You could find a lot of positive. It was always the cause of the death of reason they were in hospital. And there was a monetary incentive for that. Oh you can't. They wouldn't do that but there were doctors and hospitals and people can't claim but they were then ostracized and fired if if it were telling the truth about that.
