Snyder meddled in sexual misconduct investigation of Commanders, report says
"A House report says the NFL's Washington commander's created a toxic work culture for more than two decades, ignoring and downplaying sexual misconduct. Some former female employees were asked at a hearing in February, the number of times they were sexually harassed by men at the top levels of the organization. Over a hundred, too many to count. I worked there for a year and a half, so mathematically, that would be roughly 515 times. The report from the oversight and reform committee says commanders owner Dan Snyder was involved in the behavior. Congress stepped in after the NFL did not release a written report of an independent review of the team's workplace culture. The House report says Snyder interfered with the independent investigation and the house committee's investigation by intimidating witnesses and conducted his own investigation that cast him as the victim.

And a good Friday morning to you, we thank you here at WTO P for taking us along for your 2 a.m. hour ride. That would be the local stories we're looking at for you this morning here on TOP. We begin the ride with a new report from a congressional committee that excoriates Dan Snyder, WTO Capitol Hill correspondent Mitchell Miller, says this morning the commander's owner is now accused of covering up decades of sexual misconduct and trying to obstruct the investigation altogether. The report from the House oversight committee accuses Snyder of being misleading and evasive in his testimony earlier this year, noting he stated more than 100 times he didn't know or couldn't recall information. He acknowledged using private investigators, for example, but stated he didn't remember who was targeted. Former team employees who said they were victims of sexual harassment have said they were among those targeted by the team. The commanders have issued a statement calling the investigation one sided, and noting that Snyder truthfully testified for 11 hours before the panel. It also says the team has made progress in establishing an inclusive workplace. On Capitol Hill, Mitchell Miller, WTO news. Now, two O 5. It's not the chief aim, explains showman Rogers, bankruptcy expert Michael Lichtenstein. The general purpose of chapter 11 was to allow companies and opportunity to pause their payments to creditors, reorganize, restructure their debt and then emerge as a leaner meaner operations. I've done a bunch of reorganizations where you can confirm a plan of reorganization and under that plan, you restructure the debt, you try to maximize the efficiency of the company after you go through a confirmation process. Now that the case is unsealed, the prosecutor says weapons were confiscated from Aldrich, who tried to reclaim them, but did not get them back. "Our community to come together in our country to come together and stop having so much gun violence. Stetson Miller, WTO P news. 1234. Now here at WTO fee, we turn to a congressional paddle's new report this week, the sharply criticizes the Washington commanders and owner Daniel Snyder recovering up the team's sexual misconduct for decades. This morning, WTO Capitol Hill correspondent Mitchell Miller. This is really the first time we've learned anything about that testimony, which came several months ago. You'll remember that the committee actually subpoenaed Dan Snyder for his testimony after he voluntarily didn't come forward. The committee is highly critical of him suggesting his testimony was at times misleading or unhelpful. The report sites more than a hundred times when Snyder was asked about topics where he responded that he didn't know or couldn't recall something. That includes questioning about his hiring of private investigators while he admitted he used them. He said he could not recall who they were talking to or who they would target, which seems kind of stretched credulity. One of those who may have been targeted was NFL commissioner Roger Goodell, former team president Bruce Allen testified that Snyder indirectly warned him not to expose any possible wrongdoing by Snyder and sent private eyes to his home, also victims of sexual harassment and worked for the team have indicated they came under pressure not to go public. Virginia congressman Jerry Connolly, who's a member of the committee, issued a statement accusing Snyder of stonewalling withholding thousands of documents and says, in his words, it's a sorry attempt to conceal further evidence of his own wrongdoing. Well, Mitch, what does the team have to say about this report? The team has pushed back hard on this report, issuing a statement calling it one sided and saying lawmakers are chasing headlines. They say the committee didn't specify any witnesses who Snyder allegedly prevented from coming forward, and the team also notes that Snyder testified for 11 hours before the committee, citing Republican lawmakers on the panel who have been critical of the investigation. So fans and critics of the commanders might be wondering, Mitch, if this will have an impact on whether Snyder sells. That's really the big question. The report certainly doesn't do anything for Snyder's reputation and the management of the team. But it's still unclear what if any impact this will have on getting a new owner. House Republicans, as I just indicated, are critical of the report. They'll take over the house in January. So this investigation is effectively done, Snyder and his wife, Tanya, as you know, recently said they had hired a division of Bank of America to consider potential transactions, possibly a sale, but you have to have 24 NFL team owners who would have to sign off on all of this. And there are still a lot of questions about the team's future where it's going to play. Is it going to stay in Maryland

"Flip side of corruption. Yeah, well said. My first thought because reading this this morning was if the allegations against Dan Snyder are not true, then why are you going through all this work to dig up dirt on all the other owners? You know, it feels like you're doing it to protect yourself if this report is accurate. I do have questions though after chef D talking in Seth's and maybe you can answer these because you're way more knowledgeable about the situation. I think my first question was because Seth said the owners right now don't have the appetite to potentially or doesn't think they have the appetite to vote them out. I would want to know why. Why is this not at least another option to have that appetite grown? I think my next question would be if it's not now going to be talked about at the Tuesday morning meetings or Tuesday meetings, why not? Why can't this now become a focal conversation? And then again, MK, why does Jerry Jones support him so much? His support so high and now potentially waning. Is there one quick I do want to jump in with one clarification here. Just in case you don't know, Roger Goodell has made it very clear that Dan Snyder can not be present at those Tuesday meetings. Now, that's not directly related to whether or not they would vote him out or whether or not it would be a discussion. What is that point? But he's not able to be there. Go ahead, Mina. Yeah, well, Dan, I think Seth Don and tisha's reporting lays out a pretty clear rationale for why there isn't this appetite, which is it sounds like many of these owners and people in and around the league harbor fear that Snyder will retaliate. And again, that is a totally reasonable fear given, as I said, that the Washington the government's investigation into Washington found evidence of retaliation and silencing. And then, of course, it is a tremendous problem. I think ultimately owners act based on their bottom line and perhaps the lack of appetite or the lack of action is tied to the money and the money is ultimately going to be the thing that decides whether or not anything happens. As Seth said to us early on the show, he said, look, the major issue here is that financial side right from the owner's standpoint, they don't want to lose their businesses. Unfortunately, as Mina is so outlined so well, there's sexual assault allegations that should also be paramount in all of this. Marcus, let's take it to the players for a minute here. How aware do you think the guys in the locker room are of a situation like this? They're aware. I think it affects guys that potentially could be in free agency coming over to the Washington commanders, but you know, we just saw one of their budding stars signed a contract in Terry mclaurin and I hate even putting his name to be associated with this story, but it highlights the point that these guys are there to play football and that is the way they are compensated and take care of their families. And I know like, yo, this is the thing about our show and listen in the meaning and Dan talk. I can't help, but give my two cents on what just said, 'cause I had not playing on touching this because y'all know me and how I am about stuff is super black and white for me. The reason why Dan Snyder is still an owner in the NFL is because other owners won't vote him out because a lot of them probably got the same type of dirt and a lot of them are afraid of him coming out with a story. He's already been accused of sexual assault. He's already shown a bad work environment. He's already been fine $10 million for whatever has disengaged. And last time I checked, when you're the head or when you're the leader of a certain or a particular organization and all of these things happen, it falls on you. And now we will get anger, we will get this thing from the other owners in the NFL because now Dan Snyder is infringing on their money like Nina said their bottom line and the overall arching story is going to become about why 31 other owners won't vote dance night or out and that is the worst thing that could possibly happen because they don't want anybody to open up their books. That's really what this ball is down to. Again, there's a lot of football to get to and we're going to do that next on the show. But I think as all of you have illustrated here, it's important to continue to bring a spotlight to these issues. The more we talk about them, the more we put pressure on everybody to expose these reports as Mina outlined, maybe the more likely it can happen. We got more coming your way on NFL live and we're just getting started here today. Sunday Night, we'll get a true battle of the trenches as the eagles look to stay undefeated. Guys, we've begin with a developing story out of Washington, 30 plus sources have told ESPN that commanders owner Dan Snyder had been digging up, quote, dirt on other NFL owners and commissioner Roger Goodell. Tisha Thompson, one of the co authors on the story has more details on the report. In interviews with more than 30 people, including team owners in high ranking league executives. ESPN has learned Snyder has told associates he's used private investigators and other sources to gather enough secrets to blow up several NFL owners and NFL commissioner Roger Goodell. Snyder thinks he has enough on all of them a former senior commander's executive told ESPN. He thinks he's got stuff on roger. The NFL is a mafia Snyder recently told another associate all the owners hate each other. That's not true, a veteran owner told ESPN all the owners hate Dan. Sources said they've been told Snyder instructed his law firm to hire private investigations on Goodell, and at least 6 owners, including Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones. Historically one of Snyder's closest allies. Jones recently told confidants that he might not be able to protect Snyder, any longer. Jerry Jones declined to comment on the story, the commander spokesperson, also denied that Snyder hired private investigators to track other owners and commissioner Roger Goodell. For more, let's bring in one of the co authors on the piece, Seth wickersham, so glad to have you here Seth. And that was a very quick look at your vast reporting. So what else can you add? I think that this thing is just beginning. And I think it's not just that Dan has told people that he is collected dirt via private eyes. I know that he denied it and his law firm, which is usually how they go through with these things, said that they're unaware of anybody who's been tracking the commissioner or other owners. And that might be true. But it doesn't change the fact that Dan has told this to people whether he's bluffing whether it's just a scare tactic, it hasn't gone over well. There's a lot of owners who are angry at him, and we're angry at him before all of this. And I think going into next Tuesday's meeting, I don't think that anything's going to happen with Dan. I don't think some decision is going to be made. But I do think there's a chance for a conversation on him, which really hasn't happened in those meetings. Why is Jerry Jones such an important element in all of this? Well, you can argue who's the most powerful owner. In fact, there's an executive in our story who says that the most powerful owner of the NFL is Dan. Because nobody will act on him. But Jerry is the most influential owner. And when he changes on something on an issue, he usually ends up getting his way. He's upset about this. We reached out to his spokesman asking if Dan had reached out to him since we had come to Dan with some of our reporting and what it had showed. And the spokesman declined comment. That doesn't happen very often with Jerry Jones. And if you look at the pictures, they obviously were talking on the field and the commander of social media made a big deal with the fact that he was on the field talking to Jerry before they played two weeks ago. Jerry doesn't look that happy in that picture. In fact, he's not really smiling. Yeah, I mean, and a lot of times he is, right? That's a good observation. Okay, if the owners wanted to make a move to get Snyder out, what would that look like? Well, there's the easy way, which is three quarters of them in 24 owners would just vote him out. And they can do that at any time. However, it's unclear if there's the appetite to do that. And they've actually talked about different ways to address this. One of the hidden issues with Dan is that he has no prospects for a new stadium in February looked like he had so much leverage between Maryland and Virginia, all these powerful politicians lined up. There's nothing going on with that stadium right now. And the owners are thinking about ways to use that against him. This is revealing about that the ownership circle, but they care more about some of the business issues that Dan has caused the league in costing his fellow owners money than a lot of the cultural issues in the bad press. And I do think that they are looking at ways if they can't vote him out to figure out a way to transfer ownership permanently to Tanya. And they're quick to remind. Remember when Donald Sterling was forced out of the NBA for her racist comments years ago, it wasn't because Adam silver in the owners voted him out. It was actually because of his wife who moved him off of the family trust. And if there's a way for them to transfer ownership to Tanya Snyder, who they really prefer working with and have a lot of respect for, I think they'll do that. Yeah, Tanya Snyder, as you alluded to, is Dan Snyder's wife. All of this reporting in the full story is available on ESPN dot com. Very interesting. You hear some of the hard truths of the business side of the NFL here amongst many other things. Thanks so much to Seth wickersham for joining us here. NFL league meeting set to take place next week as we get Adam Schefter in here and you heard Seth referring to that Adam, do we expect this to be on the agenda when the owners get together? Well, Seth touched on a number of points and no, Laura, it is not expected to be on the agenda. It doesn't mean it couldn't come up for discussion amongst owners, but it's not something that they're planning to discuss going into that meeting, which will be a brief one day meeting. Now, that doesn't prove them from talking about it. And there are people who believe that Roger Goodell would not be the one that would take Dan Snyder's team away from him and would have to come from the votes of 24 owners. But as Seth and Dave and Ada and tisha Thompson laid out in this particular piece, the support of Jerry Jones certainly seems to be waning for Dan Snyder. And if the support from him is not there, it leads to a whole host of questions about what his future with the team may be. Adam, here's a reminder of just some of the recent events for the Washington franchise under Dan Snyder. In August of 2020, reports surfaced that 42 women faced harassment in the workplace in sexual harassment claims were made against Snyder. In December that same year reports surfaced at Washington had reached a $1.6 million settlement back in 2009 with a former employee who had accused sexual misconduct against Snyder. Then last summer, Washington was fined $10 million by the NFL for workplace culture and his wife Tanya Snyder was named the team's co CEO. Then, today's report dropped. Let's bring Mina chimes, Marcus fierce dean orlowski back in here. Mina, how does today's report fit in with all the other allegations surrounding Snyder? You know, it affirms something that I think many of us suspected, which is one of the reasons why Daniel Snyder is still an NFL owner, despite the fact that the criticisms and controversy section of his Wikipedia page is longer than the career section, is the fear of mutually assured destruction, which shouldn't be surprising, by the way, because when the government looked into Washington's culture, they found that Snyder used the similar tactics to silence and intimidate witnesses, but it doesn't make it less stunning. And I will say this, Laura, it's easy to read stories like this and hear about the reasons behind the owners in action and feel desensitized or that any of this is futile because nothing will ever happen. But I would really caution against that because the most important thing here more so than how the owners view Snyder is the fact that he was accused of enabling sexual misconduct and actually committing sexual assault himself and in my view has yet to face meaningful consequences. That is the most important thing. And it is something that the NFL can still address. When they looked into Snyder and Washington's toxic workplace cultured last time and put out this report, didn't put out the report that will consider reported was essentially covered up. Now there's a second investigation conducted by Mary Jo white and this one must come out because while we can not compel the owners to push out Snyder, all of this makes that very clear, we can call for more transparency than there's been. And we can fight off complacency, which is, of course, the

"The sleazy. So he had a situation where Snyder was spending lots of money for lobbyists in Virginia and in Maryland to try to get a new stadium and one of those two places. But lawmakers were listening to their constituents and decided we are not going to move forward. As one lawmaker in Virginia told us how toxic do you have to be to have the Senate majority leader and the House appropriations chair to sponsor your Bill and you can't get a vote on it. Another lawmaker told us, I think lawmakers didn't realize this was going to be such a loser. Yeah, Don, you're painting the picture of a certain desperation here, actually. That's exactly right. And that's how it felt to lawmakers in Virginia and Maryland. There was a lawmaker in Virginia that told us all of Snyder's tactics backfired. It did lend to this feeling of a gang that can't shoot straight. Either they don't know or they're not telling the truth. Neither of which is good. And so the larger group of owners here that we've been describing, Don, what is their reaction been as they've been watching all of these misses? One of fury. These are owners, many of whom have built stadiums with far less leverage over local governments than Dan Snyder had in Virginia and Maryland, and they were surprised and bemused and angry that Snyder had managed to blow a bill that was once championed by Virginia's most powerful politicians. And now there's talk open talk among some owners that Dan Snyder's financial problems, which they care about so deeply, by the way, because the better the stadium is than the more revenue there is. The revenue there is, the more that he can share with them and they're now talking openly about using this entire stadium, debacle against him. And it very likely will be a topic when the owners meet next week in New York. So to be very clear here, the thing that owners are most angry about is the fact that Dan Snyder is messing with their money. I heard that from multiple sources and reporting this story. There seemed to be as much or even more anger about the fact that Snyder is taking money out of their pockets than there are about any of the other scandals. So the name I want to return to the giant name I want to return through here, Don, is Roger Goodell, because what are the options on the table here for the commissioner of the NFL as Dan Snyder is concerned. While Roger Goodell shown little initiative to play any role in kicking out Dan Snyder. Despite, by the way, the sentiment of league staff, many of whom are furious about these allegations of the commander's toxic environment and Snyder's own behavior, both alleged and confirmed. But remember Pablo back in June, Roger Goodell testified before the House committee on oversight and reform and at the time Dan Snyder was in the Mediterranean Sea on a super yacht, the 305 foot lady S, avoiding a subpoena from Congress, and during that hearing, a congresswoman asked Fidel point blank about Snyder's fate. Yes or no, are you willing to do more? Yes, of course I'm wanting to do more. I never said that we are going to stop. I actually said the opposite. We want to continue. Be removed as a team owner. Well, you remove him. I don't have the authority to remove him. Congresswoman. Goodell also testified that he was not aware of any option for Snyder's removal being discussed among owners. Goodell is a politician. He's always taking the temperature of owners and a big part of his job is to try to protect them. But he won't put Snyder's fate to a vote unless he knows the result that's wanted by three quarters of the owners. But what I'm curious about now Don is what Roger Goodell himself personally wants. A team executive close to Roger Goodell, very, very close to him, told me, I know roger wants this office plate. He wants Snyder gone tomorrow. So what is Dan Snyder's strategy at this point, as he is trying to stay in the league? Well, he has a multi pronged strategy. Part of it is he's trying to run out the clock on the congressional league investigations. He's hoping that Mary Jo white's investigation, which is now entering its 9 month will not do too much damage to him. A lot of that depends on that alleged sexual assault allegation by the former team employee on his plane in 2009. But you know, another thing is that Dan Snyder has told multiple people that he feels if he can just get a marquee quarterback. All of his problems will go away. And so in the off season, he had a lot to do with the trade for quarterback Carson Wentz. Despite the deal he made with Roger Goodell in July 2021 that he would give up day to today management to his wife. We have a source knowledgeable of the inner workings of the deal telling us it was 100% a Dan move. Though in a team statement to ESPN, head coach Ron Rivera insisted he had brought the idea of acquiring Carson Wentz to Dan and Tanya who supported it. And you know, when I told a veteran owner that Snyder believed that a marquee quarterback would chase away all of these problems, the owner laughed and said, Carson Wentz yeah, Dodd I'm reminded of what Ron Rivera had said this week when reporters had asked him about the biggest difference between his one and four Washington commanders and the other three teams in the NFC east, which are all like sitting astride the conference. And his answer was very blood. He said, quarterback. And so what's the forecast on four Dan Snyder owner of the Washington commanders as the standoff is high stakes, incredibly tense behind the scenes standoff continues. But it really depends Pablo on the appetite among his fellow owners for removing one of their own. I had somebody close to an owner, tell me it's really up to the owner's tolerance level of whether they want to keep around a guy who may or may not know their deepest secrets. And whether they want to pull that trigger or not. Do they want to set a precedent that they can live with knowing that at some point they might be in the same position Dan Snyder finds himself in now. And the position that Dan Snyder finds himself in now, Donna, let's be very blunt about this too. It sounds miserable. So why doesn't he want to sell? Why does he want to stay in owner? One source told us it's his identity. Remember, this is the team that Dan Snyder rooted for as a boy. And he's now in this elite club full of glass houses and Snyder has no shame another source told us. He doesn't care that he's hated. In fact, he revels in it. A senior executive knows him well, says I keep wondering why is he still doing this? Why isn't he selling the team? There's no way out. There's no endgame. But then this executive adds that Stan Snyder's character flaw. He can't look in the mirror and see what everybody else sees.

"Meaning Roger Goodell. And this sort of tactic, right? I mean, a, have you ever heard of someone doing this before at the ownership level? And B, doesn't it speak then to, I don't know, a paranoia on behalf of Dan Snyder, if this is how he's trying to protect himself. It does. So an associate who's met with Snyder multiple times recently told me that Snyder's become paranoid about owners and league office executives. He's paranoid about former employees breaking their nondisclosure agreements and talking with reporters like me about what they know. Snyder sees quote evil lurking in every shadow and around every corner. This associate told me, someone is always out to get them. And at this point, Don, do you believe that Dan Snyder has the goods? Has the stuff on all of the people that you've reported, he's been trying to get information on? I don't know, Pablo, that's the point. Even people close to Snyder don't know. They just know that he keeps saying he has the stuff. And so league and ownership sources told us there's been a lot of speculation about what his investigators could have on earth and some are even wondering if Snyder actually has anything at all and is just simply bluffing as a scare tactic, so owners won't vote him out. He's backed into a corner of veteran owner says. He's behaving like a mad dog cornered. And so have you been able to hear directly from Dan Snyder himself on these allegations? No, and not for lack of trying. We tried to interview Dan and his wife, Tanya Snyder, who is now ostensibly running the team, both Dan and Tanya Snyder declined to comment for the story, but a commander spokesperson and outside lawyers for the team denied that Snyder has hired or authorized private investigators to track another team's owner or league executives or Roger Goodell. The quote from John brownlee and Stuart Nash, who are partners at Holland and knight is this. This is categorically false. He has no dossier's compiled on any owners. And a spokesperson also denied that Snyder said any of the things that we're quoting him saying to associates and confidants that he could blow up the league, that the league can't with him, that the NFL is a mafia. They say that all of those statements are simply ridiculous and utterly false. And the lawyers and spokesperson went on to criticize our reporting, including our use of what they called unknown anonymous sources. So why did you use anonymous sources done in the way that you and Seth and tisha dip? Well, Pablo, most sources declined to go on the record for a story like this for fear of reprisal. Roger Goodell has warned owners that they could be fined millions of dollars for leaking to reporters. And yet I found it not that difficult to travel around the country, sit down with owners, get them on the phone to talk about Dan Snyder, something that's clearly troubling them. They wouldn't put their names to it, but we have team owners and executives for more than a dozen NFL teams speaking to us for this story. And that relative ease that you discovered in your reporting, Don. I mean, it does speak to at the very least, some level of fear of this man. It's true because we had a sports executive and a longtime friend of Goodell tell us about the owners. There are 31 guys who are petrified of Snyder. And what they're scared of is they don't know what Snyder might know. But to be clear, again, Don, there are seemingly a number of opportunities that have passed by that could have resulted in the pressure being turned up on Dan Snyder and this possible ouster. But now seems to be something of a peak. Why is that? Well, you know, there's a growing consensus around the league Pablo that despite the press releases that have been released by the commanders, the team has struggled to establish a more inclusive culture. Sources have told us that they wonder if Jason Wright, the team's new president and the first black man in NFL history to hold that title, has true authority to fix the team. And there have also been problems with getting a new stadium, which for many owners is just as serious to them as these sexual misconduct allegations. So what in your view would it take now to oust Dan Snyder? The NFL rules say that a vote of 24 out of 31 owners is required to force Snyder to sell this franchise. And that's a fate he's told multiple sources he will never accept. Jerry Jones, who we all know is a Dallas Cowboys owner, has served as Snyder's friend and mentor and longtime firewall of support among owners. He recently told confidants that he might not be able to protect Snyder any longer. But in the commander's statement, lawyers denied that Snyder's relationship with Jones's soured, saying both Dan and Tanya have a close and strong relationship with Jerry Jones and his entire family. And they also said, we also understand that certain people believe their own interests will be advanced by convincing news outlets like ESPN to

"Don vanada three time Pulitzer Prize winning investigative reporter, what should we know at the very top here about the owner of the Washington commanders Dan Snyder? Well, Dan Snyder does this thing when he feels cornered. He paces around in a hotel suite or on his super yacht or in his $48 million Virginia state is a drink in his hand and he tells members of his inner circle about the dirt. He is accumulated on fellow owners, coaches, executives, even his own employees. All this stuff he's learned from other sources, including private investigative firms that he has hired through his law firms. Now he never says exactly what he knows only that he knows a lot and recently he's told a close associate he's gathered enough secrets to blow up several NFL owners, members of the league office and even commissioner Roger Goodell. Wait, oh, blow up. I mean, you're describing a literally explosive allegation done. It is explosive. And Snyder has used explosive language with his confidants around him. He has told people they can't with me about the owners. And the reason he says that is because he has enough secrets to blow them up and he would do it if forced to give up his beloved franchise.

Sheriff Bill Snyder: The Success of #WrongExit in Martin County
"But you've been running this campaign for a year or two now maybe more This hashtag wrong exit Basically telling the bad guys you know don't come here to Martin county We'd rather you're not going anywhere and commit crimes but don't think about coming here You got off the wrong exit on I 95 You guys feel like you've been having a lot of success with that And the reason I ask is and I've told you before privately but I think the audience can find it fascinating is I've heard from some people who deal with criminals all the time in their line of work that the criminals know not to come up here that once you cross into Martin county you're going to be doing some jail time You're not going to get off easy So you find it to be effective to handle that and use social media Well it's been extremely effective for us You've seen the billboards long exit And we're a high house to experiment because we're sandwiched between two counties that might share some of my friends but they have a higher crime rate than us And we were easy pickings And for years they were coming in here and just picking soft targets Well I feel like I'd like to share we made a systemic change in our policy and we said we're not going to laugh at that And we watch our exits we use all types of technology and the fundamentals of what we do is we treat every crime seriously It became a vandalized car making into a car You stolen credit cards because you think you can get away in a community where you don't know You guys think again we had a recent instrument where we were interviewing a gang member who is acting really tough I mean he was all in our face not cooperating We left the interview of course we have to leave the cameras off to prove we didn't go in and touch him And he started crying Well this is a hardened criminal game guy We went back there so we'll throw he said I didn't know I was in Martin
Sheriff Bill Snyder: If You Break Into a Car, We Will Find You
"You know Rudy Giuliani at the time share of implemented with Jack maple and others is broken windows policing and it was precisely kind of what you're talking about just worded a little differently and the idea was that the guy who jumps on to the train to commit a robbery or God forbid a rape or a murder he doesn't pay for the train share of he jumps the turnstile He's like hold on let me pay here So they jumped the turnstile So if you catch the guy jumping the turnstile for the minor crime and you put him in jail even if for overnight until he gets a hearing the next day you may have prevented three or four other crimes A robbery a rape or potentially a murder And that kind of ties into this retail theft thing the way I see it If you let the guy go with a woman go for stealing whatever lipstick or a pack of gum or some protein shake from a store then word gets around that oh they're not doing that They're not forcing that And then two people show up And in ten people show up and then it's open season Is that the correct analysis Yeah you're right on the money I know that when the broken windows came out it was very effective in New York The theory basically is if you have if you have a side of a building which has a hundred windows and they're all intact nobody breaks down If someone breaks one window and you don't fix it then someone will break another one though and at the end of the day all the ones are broken So we do that here in Martin county We tow to that line And we believe that we don't look at crime as just background white noise If you break into a car here we will move heaven and earth to find you because if you get away with breaking into that car the next time you break in something it will be somebody's house And we know that And that's not just conjecture That's exactly what happens So if you catch the car burger you probably prevented Diaspora
Sheriff Bill Snyder: City Commissioners Are Encouraging Crime
"So you know we love you in this household The county loves you Because you get it you know You're a law man you take the law seriously And one of the things I wanted to talk to you about is this explosive trend is growth all across America of these retail theft sheriff where these gangs of young men and women they walk in ten sometimes 20 at a time they start bashing the jewelry cases in a place where they just clean out a store this is the kind of thing I think you'd agree that when it's allowed to fester and word gets out that nothing's going to happen then why wouldn't anyone else do with that I mean why pay if you don't have to How do you stop that Well you know what You just hit the whole nail on the head And these things kind of happen If they're not allowed to fester and they fester when people in power elected county commissioners are seeing managers just to commission the hands of the police and the message goes out loud and clear I can get away with this And that's exactly why you're seeing it in some of these though locations around the country

"snyder" Discussed on The Paul Finebaum Show
"We've already talked to Bill Snyder during this hour and let's continue with more of your phone calls and Jeff is calling next to hello, Jeff. Hey, Paul, are you there? I am. Good afternoon. Yeah. A long time listener and now new from back in the 80s, when you started, I worked birma hammer for 40 years. I'm a same year as you are not paying 55 model. Then I die hard Alabama fan for 60 years. But I like to have competition and with auburn after that iron bowl and the postgame show and it was talk Jim Donna why it was on there. I'm sure you know him. Oh, sure. And there's some others. It was on there. And it was talking about which, you know, Jackson will state, which I fly to album forward and place some other bigger teams doesn't have a coach and they were saying that. Is that right now? Yeah, pat nicks, who was a co who I think did coach there at one time. Well, I was talking about him going back there, the coach, and it was saying that time that passed through that Beau going to Jacksonville. Have you heard any of that? Well, I did hear that. And I think there was some truth to it, but Jacksonville, I believe, ended up hiring a rich Rodriguez as the head coach. I heard he knew that. And I didn't know. And that's what I want to ask. Yeah, and I happen to have a friend who's involved in that school in a position. So I vaguely remember hearing about a couple of weeks ago, but yeah, I don't know where Bo is going to go. His father, his father, I can't remember if his father coach there are not as an assistant, but that story was definitely out there, but I don't believe that would equate to where we are today. Yes. He went to school with the dedication. And I never felt like that he was getting the right coaching down at auburn, I'd like to see him do this. So I don't have the competition. I hear you. You know, you don't want to say you had maybe a little more competition this year in auburn than you wanted. Well, you know, what happened in the EM? Well, you were right about that. You got a white. You got to wait till the end. There's a reason the game does not over for 60 minutes. You're right. Hey, thank you very much. Appreciate your call. Fad is up next in Talladega. How are you? We are doing well. Thank you. Yeah, so I go back to your days in Birmingham here. Jay OX and Birmingham news and so on and so forth. And I've watched and listened and read a lot of your interviews, but graduations on their view with Snyder. Thank you. So if it was one interview Paul that you could do, you could bring back someone from the dead or whatever. The one interview that you really enjoy to do what we do. Well, it's a good question. And someone wants we were starting an interview show here a couple of years ago. And one of my bosses asked me is there anybody in the world that you would like to interview? And I mentioned the Pope, which I don't think was really within the realm of our reach, but I think if I could go back in my own career, I would like one more shot at Paul Bryant. Because I wanted an hour with coach Bryant, unfiltered, no restrictions. I got you. What's your favorite interview that you ever did? Well, I would say my favorite continuous interview is one you heard a couple of times. And that was the Monday night interview with pat dye. Because nobody in my many years of doing this has ever been more entertaining or unpredictable than coach die. All right, one last thing I know you have on the calls. But if coach Saban were to tell you Paul, you can ask me any three questions in the world if you want to ask me, including follow-ups. What would they be? It's a good. You know, what's interesting about Nick Saban and I've had the opportunity to sit with him a couple of different times over the years. It's not really the question. It's whether he would answer the question because that's what I meant by that. You can ask me anything. The one thing he never talks to, I'd like to know how he really feels about other coaches, because Nick Saban always praises the other coaches. I know that's not necessarily the case. I would like to know right now I'd like to know about the future. And I know what the standard answer is, but I'd like to know what he's really thinking and what he's really contemplating. Thank you for the call. Great, those were great questions. Andy Staples is.

And you know she figured out the things that we had difficulties with like For instance When you're tracking shuffles You want to bet The most you can bet when you're in a tract slug meaning you're in the section of the shoe where you know the high cards the faces and ace's are located you wanna bet the maximum amount and and as soon as you're out of that you know that you're there are you know there's not many tens and aces left and so you want to bet very small you know now card counters. They increase their bets and decrease servants pretty slowly. Because again..

"Job to save the owner from himself. Although on this non saying with reporters votes that were provided are are the responsibility of the pr team that surrounds him now. I've been told he doesn't much listen to the advice. He's given which is why they've seemingly been forever. You know so off kilter instinctually when it comes to public relations you know. I had somebody. And i shared this with you a couple of years ago and with With those of you. That are listening on the podcast specifically mentioning this. Because i had somebody tell me a few years ago that back in twenty eighteen or twenty nineteen That the team had conducted its own internal poll Which included some approval poll questions to the questions. Which had to do with snyder. And with bruce allen and they went something like this. Do you approve of the job. The dan snyder is doing his own or do you approve of the job. That bruce allen's doing his team president and they through those questions in because they thought the results would be decent and that they could go out and respond to media complaints about the team with the results of the poll but the results weren't very good like the approval rating for dan was like five percent. Roughly and for bruce almost the same so obviously that poll got completely shut down in terms of the dissemination of the of the results. They couldn't use the results. But i remember being told at the time that they were surprised internally with the results on dan and bruce and i'm just like recently clueless but you know again believable but tommy. Here's the thing you know for most people that seems incredible that they haven't ever had a grasp on what the fan base what the customers think of him in the team. You know. Even the poll results were probably in their own mind in that moment. Chalked up to some sort of polling error. You know oh well. That's an error Will you okay. Plus plus or minus ten percent still puts you at a bad number. But this is something that we've been talking about for years that he's never had a grasp on reality. You know even in a sweet looking out to see his stadium. Twenty percent full eighty percent empty sometimes taken over by opposing fans. You know having the poultry television ratings for some reason he's always been able to rationalize it as being somebody else's fault you know and that the fans of the team don't blame him It's always been that. They've blamed somebody else. And i'll tell you what probably emboldened him a little bit during that happy thanksgiving day introductory of of Ron rivera was the hashtag fire. Bruce you know Sentiment in campaign because that really was created this incredible life of its own and it was all about bruce so he thought it was all about bruce. I i got go ahead. Go ahead if something. I don't quite understand though about this. Not being a suspension. How do you explain. Why snyder has gone why. They've got out of their way to say in the announcement that snyder's to step.

"I'm on the freshman now that They just don't think it matters that much. I mean how much like this goes. Back to. The whole argument of snyder being defamed. I mean you know with with the so-called smear campaigns by white shar and the legitimate defence. I would say as how can you possibly defame a guy who with with this kind of reputation. That's true so what. What more damage could they do. Then what's been done. The people who believe what they believe are going to believe it. And they're the the the nfl and the washington football team would just as soon move on with all the great changes they've made. They've made some oppressive changes along the way let's go i don't think i don't think it's that damaging so i don't think they did him at the service and i just think it's insignificant and they don't particularly care. I don't know that i'm going to agree with you on. They didn't do a disservice. But i'm not like adamant that. Somehow this will manifest itself in a in a hideous way because they didn't Three things one Dwight shar i've heard Essentially is no longer allowed to have any association with the nfl and that the team Actually wanted that story to come out last week Right but you know right after the tonya. Snyder stuff Dwight shar obviously was involved. It's you know. I shouldn't say obviously has certainly been accused of being involved in that inaccurate internet speculation campaign against snyder prior to the post piece almost a year ago to the day that included claims of jeffrey epstein ties and sex trafficking and drug trafficking and the whole thing Number two that I think two things one. I think first of all not having any sort of teeth to the punishment. I'm not gonna say it incense anymore but it keeps the post and others that are like dogs with a bone on this one point six million dollar settlement story on what happened on that plane They're going after big time I've heard that It's not just them. It's others may be even the new york times But they wanna find out even though there's confidential confidentiality included in that settlement. They wanna find out what happened on that plane. And i just interrupt for a minute. You know who's probably not going after it. They'd time the journal not the journal. You had the journalism. I bet they're not going after a big time. But i think i think the ten million dollar fine on the team was probably too harsh. I think the outrage last week from a lot of people on how the league handled this and then maybe even some outrage that dan was sending either. Pr firm after people to get it straight like. Hey he already one but he needs to win more you need to understand. He wasn't find the team was. He's not suspended. He can go back to work whenever he wants. Okay you know. Take the victory You know enact like you've been there but it's never their style but the the the combination of things that happened You know is a for many people a slap in the face of the forty plus women many of whom didn't care about anonymity many of whom who were already not anonymous. A many of whom probably would have been okay with not identifying information in a public. You know Reveal what beth wilkinson learn. But i think that there are people that are going after whatever happened on that plane. I have no idea. I've heard a lot of stories. But i have no idea what happened on that plane. But i do know this that wilkinson and others wanna find out what the hell happened on that plane because there are people that believe that if there is some sort of smoking gun on him that it may have happened on that plane on that ride back from the Country music awards in vegas in two thousand nine whatever year that was but lastly tommy. I wanted to just say this the going after reporters for not getting this right is another indication of just how numb they are. You know. it's it's the typical day didn't get this right i talked. I was totally vindicated. I didn't get suspended. Why didn't get find the team. Got a ten million dollar slap on the wrist because there was nothing there you know and it's another indication just how off they continue to be with their pr instincts you know. He and this organization continued to be their own worst enemy. They never learn. You know in everybody who's around them knows that they never learned and they say they never. Will you know it was the The fact that tanya was named co-ceo was another like just so obvious transparent. Move how incredibly out of touch. Do you have to be Whether it's him or as pr people to think that this clearly This clear layup. Puff piece where you know. He claims that he wasn't involved enough in needs to be involved. More is going to be well received. How out of touch do you have to be from a relation standpoint. Really i mean i. It depends on who their audience was for that wall street journal piece if it was. Nfl owners if it was the league office just to show them. Look we've got this under control I don't know what the purpose of it was but it it. It seems a little bit simple like you said that. Think that the average the average washington football consumer is going to read that and not choke on it in in these discussions. Why doesn't you like to somebody say Can i just weigh in for a moment. If you actually have a quote in there that you weren't involved enough No one's going to believe that. And then to furthermore add. Insult to injury to suggest that you need to be involved. More is not also going to be well received My suggestion is both of those.

"Interested in the pick of who survive. Cf cyborg you have the aquaman female era you have slash. Who's like who wouldn't is because you have put come Last point to come back in time because that batman v superman. That's the suit he popped up in. And then you have joker slade yup and man in harley quinn which is cool like dat. She's dead harlequin wasn't a no she was dead does he said because he. Because that's how bad got him was. He said something about harvey e says something about the boy wonder. And then because joker does kill robin. And i think there was a comment about harley. Yeah and that because he said something about harley that that's so much like the video game injustice in the video game lowest. The joker killed lois. Lane and batman or superman came in killed the joker. And that's what like and they became this in when he's dead. He became this totalitarian like evil. God but. I don't think that's the story that zack snyder's telling him what i've heard bruce wayne and his story. Bruce wayne got lois lane. Prego and notice. Ma'am freaking losses. Notice that the end of the movie when they're moving back to marquess. She's supposedly carrying a basket. That looks like a little. And you hear bruce. Say congratulations as to. So when they do then. I i'm assuming but it doesn't make sense because in this one. They really show her morning more than in the other one because in eighties. Maybe it was like a. I don't want to ban on there but or like a like a grieving sex or something but it was a drunken night that they yeah. You know thinking about superman. Superman one thing leads to another by in and in also an injustice jerry really liked was Superman wonder woman and one other person like all decided to be the lords of the were okay. We haven't really talked about the cyborg finally getting into down movie which was valve in heart of the whole film man even his his dad getting more than he got in the other. One we are which I don't know if you know that's the dude who immunity to not let that guy around sort of cyborg robots but that did such a good actor too man. I know and i feel like joss weeden just like they made him weird but they gave him a real part him. Real part and I saw on twitter the the lady that he gives the money to in the movie she posted on twitter. Like i haven't seen it yet. And i make it into the movie because her whole story out and he liked to back. How'd you get away. He decided to do that with like the standing in the desert like looking. I thought that was an interesting choice of how to jump into the into the box. Or no no when he just would like when he was like imagining. Yeah though i heard another podcast. So i can't take credit for say and i thought it was good like he can do all these things he doesn't just immediately like level out everyone's wealth and everyone money like why not like he whatever he wanted to they were like. Why would you give. Why don't you ease them into don't tell a teenager. He has to all the nuclear codes because teenagers get pissed off sometimes not only being able to get all the story leading characters breath and getting their stories but they didn't rush to. Oh we got a broom of may now halfway into the movie. Yeah and it wasn't like a a light decision liquid is like you know we're all thinking but i'm not gonna say it and they you know cyborg has him so and when he comes back they like cut that up you know when he's walking through the ship. Yeah in the voice of russell russell costner talking about these people and the planet earth and everything else. I'm like you. Why did you cut this out of the movie. Like i got chills. When that's half what do you think about all the hate. That draws wade's thinking about this movie like and how much he cut out of it seeing it now. I think it's deserved. Why did you do that. I don't think it's all of his. I don't think it's all his fault. I think the studio stepped in as well saying okay. You get two hours. Here's what snyder shot. And then put some humor to lighten it up a little bit. This is a little dark. I mean does point. He was like okay. He has stripped it down and said here's the basic story like basic story of the boxes and then we'll k. We'll just kind of that And then it didn't work but like other. I was telling talking to great now it. Could you know if you were big. Conspiracy theorist you could say that zack. Snyder's four hour movie was never gonna get seen. But what if we made a really crappy movie and that really crappy was so bad later on could make more money on the same film that we already have footage of later Because i don't like. I was trying to think if i just saw in the theater. I mean we've been four hours. Would i have liked it without if the knowing how bad the original one was the original one being bad. Make this one la better. I was thinking that same thing. Like did i enjoy this more because what we've seen before going. Oh my god that's crap now compared to this or if this would have been the only version we saw would we would we both given it five stars. I i probably would've but that's me Did you see the martian manhunter. Yes yes yes. I gotta help me. Some man's green green lantern ring barely. Snyder wanted the green lantern he did pop in at the end to talk to you one or two man. He wanted john. Stewart screen lantern day at the end instead of martian manhunter. But warner brothers said no yes. They have plans for greener and so unfortunately now. Did you like how. Marshall manner hunter came in basically being you know. I thought it was cool. Aren't the at these been slinging around the earth along. How can we help you help it. Yeah exactly you're not gonna help anything. Do you're like superpower. that's a character. I've always thought was way overpowered. He's like super strong. He could walk through walls. He can shape change. He's basically and read your mind and tell tell lp till tell 'til 'til telepathy and that was like but like he's not as strong as superman or one of them they always like take them down a notch. Yeah he's the guy that's supposed to just stay in the base and communicate everyone four. We wrap up talking to this. I we all it. The the last thing. I want to talk about that. I loved was how the final fight. How they actually came together. As a team worked together to steppenwolf i thought flashes with so good the the setting-up flashpoint now where he basically they lost. Yeah the boxes. United and the way that it happened where he had to run really fast then everybody gets put back together. Yeah just to see can bring back time. Yeah so that's every dc whenever they have a storyline running that sex every now and then. There's getting one sucks they'll be and then suddenly grabble. You're reading it sucks. Jalousie flash popout. I mess up time again..

She had no problem. Decapitates steppenwolf both but in one eight. Four she was like nine back. God this making all those decisions. Which is i'm just gonna like around the beginning just wondering i'm sure time will tell us not the same nudie right. This is a different. You know this was done before that was done. They've already decided to change up but also like with lows saying chambers a different someone who's bragging his slaughtering people who massacred worlds whose whose whole purposes the served basically the devil. Sorry you know murdering people whose compared to someone that you can actually see redemption in. Who is human that you're trying to save hard from gal. Gadot disclosure giant crossland. Gal gadoe this pain huge huge amount of money for a wonder woman to gaul. And we're erasing wonder woman nineteen eighty-four from existence. Young girl. i should just want to say. Do you know that same. Where where superman punches steppenwolf. And he flies free when she said off. He's head flies for the puzzle a- dossey stumps on if you play that scene with multiple combat theme brought the goes very solid city fasting. I've been trying to edits old together. You don't think gossip's cutting great now. The see that the indian better actually. The ending was my favorite part of the whole movie. Happen not truth. For what what. I mean by that like when the movie stops and it goes back to. Hbo screen saying you want to watch something else. That morty rick. And morty we are this is the economic question of the entire experiment. Want to what something else in. Hbo accident say. Nah i had to go throw up. So i didn't watch that is up. Problem aren't clicking. I would like to say you enjoy the original version of justice league right over this one. The original you. Basically looking at suits heads in thinking which one's the shiniest would need chapters in this version because that was that was nice natural like stopping points. Because you're throwing up so much in the back of your mouth. You need to like our whatever that was a nice touch but we're looking pretty good guys slap himself in the basic couple of your time just like this so i i don't understand. Why zack snyder. Keep eating the keys to franchises than drive them into the ground and then gets more keys. And i think that he should go back to be making a Don't even get me started. I've never even seen the end of that movie because you can't finish it. I mean that's the point. Lewis made little. You said that a couple of weeks ago. Years like who who. Who decided zack. Snyder was going to be universe. This is the problem. Is that marvel and he actually knows what he's doing and the exact cider and he does not on pretty sure nolan victim in. Yeah i'm just saying if you're comparing if you have one of the creative director of the other is a producers so there's like i needed a good screen whole series. Though he was setting up they told him. We want the marvel thing. We want this eighty billion different movies for every character gets their own series. Then we'll have the group series. It's all going to be connected in. You're going to be the one that's gonna be doing. He said i'll do five movies. I have a five movie art. And that's why and that's what everybody signed on for like that's what afric- said that's what you know all these casting signed on for us okay. Five movie like arco deal. Bbs justice remind justly to mansfield understood. Good showrunner do seinfeld gonna get a standard. They were gonna all have standalone locos. They were that was later. That had that was going to be outside of snyder's should've came erecting. Say about blue. The just the fact that cider was so opposed to boo and wheaton was like okay. Find who the fuck gares ozark was. Just the idea. That snyder was so opposed to this guy who is supposed to be a twenty year. Old college kid saying booyaa at some. I have a moment of victory talking. Crazy why volley anti. It's anti fan when i'll say it's anti fan wear piloting cultures. Though there you go commerce on i love. I love berea great but looking at szabolcs character in the movie. His big marvin is kind of that. We vision. He's having his parents at the end and if he's just like That'd be pretty weird. Like i just couldn't see them putting in Letting his cigarettes laser beam it could simple. Yeah i may be because he was he was sir happy before then nagara through the whole movie. I don't know if it's just the tone of ways. The actor agree blackmail one now. He's press he's never gonna have like his normal human life back to israel. You better have robot young. You.

"Well. My favorite is a arthur landing on the batmobile and going because if you watch the snyder his mouth moves but there's no the comes out in the audio because i was like a minute. Where is this. I watched it again. Like oh his mouth is moving. He's not saying it kind of makes you realize how cheesy that moment really was initially. I mean yeah. It's stuck out always like other parche was love. The dress like a bat like And then batman does the him. There may be temporary. I feel like god. I was just gonna say i feel like those moments right there like the yet and the dress like the bag i dig. It was like the studio. Like hey jason. We want a couple like funny lines right here and like just be yourself you know. And he's just like just like a jason momoa. I don't think he acted this entire movie. Jake yourself man was so. They said that's what they said about his. His wardrobe just came on set with whatever he was wearing that day. Yeah you're good to go right. Just go out on set. He even said that. Michael wilkinson really included him in the whole costuming process and taking his ideas and personnel. He was like. hey. I like this outfit. What do you think mike. Yeah all right. You can wear that jason. Go ahead out there. It's kind of like the studio. Wanted him probably to be surfer dude because of his You know polynesian background. Yeah and he was like going for underwater biker into water. The logo meets aquaman right there. Yeah where can i work. And i signed up to be in a biker and like so like house like house it bike work was was it run on like like do i thought paddle in the ocean and like you know. It's like six call. You can vote alec underwater so here. Here's something i thought was interesting. Have all these countries so brian. I watched manage steel s and they said was the codex was supposed to play into the man was brought back to life. The code has had no point in any of these movies. Really didn't didn't man steals part but other than that like it didn't serve as any plot point for justice. Was that something that glare had in mind i mean snyder's before like about the codex being part of what would bring him back so i don't know i mean the only thing the only thing about the codex that would have been someone interesting to bring back would be heck to the heck skull that was because the codex for kids encoded. In superman's dna is just a partial skull bike. Who the heck skull. That is yeah. I mean that have been like manna steel tube or something. Because that's what we were saying like. Okay that's definitely the skull with. Let's figure this out a little bit veteran. See what's going on with this. I definitely think that there are some things. That snyder had planned for this movie that he decided not to do because they use them the theatrical cut like i'm really curious about certain edits or beats that were present if the actress really felt like snyder. That is kind of feel like..

"Today. We're discussing zack. Snyder's justice league premiering on hbo. Max i just want to throw this out there. This will be a spoiler field episode but also out there that i do know that this film was radar. I do think that they could have worked around the language and the violence a little bit. I also as a respectable parent screened the film Search information to find out what content was in the film with that said. My children did see it. My son has been a very huge advocate wanting to watch this since the first trailer dropped and then of course my daughter does well. The violence was quicken up in a lot of the scenes that they didn't notice and it was very video gaming at the same time so that there wasn't anything too harsh for them and as far as the language i'm not a huge fan of but they do have a very loose tongue ain't whom they love who is around a lot whom they hear such words from home with that being said. I just wanted to put that out there before getting had criticism for allowing my young children to see this because i do think that these characters are appeal to children. And it's something. That should be considered. I do you understand artistic integrity and i do understand a vision and i get all that and i just wanted to put that out there. So enjoy the discussion in here with their quick thoughts are my loving children. Who are excited to talk to you. Patrick.

"Actually followed up with actual action. As far as making you know tie that it it was it was relevant to you. The story and it wasn't just like a lot of talk and we didn't get any too. I mean i guess instead of getting all the talk that we had in the weeden cut of justice league insider cut all that exposition was in was now spread out in the in the first six years Neither loves his action. Sequences that i i could care less about. I'm not. I'm talking more about when when he in your dialogue you reference things to characters. Tallying the character you sh- like you should understand this because this this happened historically with his character. And you're just like okay. So i'm being told to Have have empathy for a character. As opposed to being shown and so that i can experience that loss in pain with the character and have wore relate more to it true but yeah i get your point there and i and i and i think that's like for example with the flashes storyline in this In this hour cut actually has gotten me excited for for that film because the way That he was fleshed out and how the introduced improperly the Really i am and also how he was very pivotal again to the whole saving the universe of me like you know as we saw the climax of this felony he had to run and running around the russia town to create arc. That would power cyborg to Open the mother box and the separate of the boxes. And and so again it reinforces the notion that the reason why. The justice league in dc comics world is so important is these are pivotal characters. Who who really do. Have a role in shaping the larger multi verse an an flashes case. Obviously the way they build the the satter cup really does a good job of of establishing the story moving forward that will see an in the movie as far as his version. The movie version of flashpoint. So because we saw that power him like reversing time though so in order to say things so sweet. This movie made me like to berry allen a lot less i'm i'm not sold and And he. I don't say this often so take note everyone Part of the reason. Why is because i kept comparing it to the flash tv show and The flash did it better on the cdoe. I especially his relationship with his dad. Not relationship during the snyder cut and really kind of i need to buy into that relationship and i understand it. You can't also have shipped play by really. Shouldn't they shouldn't. Yeah though. "In the full four hour. Five hour cut of that story line. Because we want it won't yes it's like and that's that's the criminal s the sassa criminal thing about this whole i mean god blesses asandra cut fans for you got what you want it but then you get what you want it but did you like didn't get what you wanted. You got part of you want it but then things that you would love to see one day but then now you know used up all your capital on releasing the center cut but you save a little bit in a big for restoring the snyder use me. Yeah yeah because they still is the batman going to redeem it in come out with the death in the family are in the last like trilogy part of their chillingly because somebody's gotta tell that story. Yes yes. I wanna see it too and now like i said they spent all the capital owned releasing this matter cup but save any for restoring the snyder verse and now i mean. Granted obviously we. We both can't wait for for matt re reasons version to to come out and and and we'll see some of these some of the you know. I guess this latter verse will live on. Andy standalone films but I think batman clearly is going to go in a different direction We'll see what happens. I mean maybe we'll get some into flash. Maybe well we know we're not getting keep them food. I just the lesson that i want. Dc to figure out is. There's a difference between an easter egg for the sake of an easter egg and an mcu easter egg. The mcu we we. We break spend hours analyzing every single frame in one division for better or for worse because we know when they put something in there. They're going to deliver on nine times out of ten. But now that i'm thinking about the snyder cut and batman v superman. I'm just like but wait a second. You you clearly understand these characters who clearly understand these are. But why are we having so much of it. Just delivered via dialogue. Why why show is bruce wayne. Losing his parents. At the beginning of batman v superman maybe not losing his adopted son. Whatever you wanna call him. Lay i just i just there. There's a lot more talion instead of showing. And i think that's that's what i continue to have trouble with with both zack. Snyder's vision of this universe in just the dc universe's a whole. Yeah yeah yeah that that. That's that's a fair point. But i do think there was at least exposition in. This snyder cut.

I think that this is significant episode for a lot of people. I mean I mean this is not a good guys clearly. You know they clearly the episode but this is big because this has been something that started off as a nothing more than a rumor then. It was known that okay. So zach did finish the product but we never gonna get it. And then momentum started rolling. There was a petition that seemed to go nowhere. And then eventually we got the news that hey with the hbo. Max it's not gonna be able to finish his Project we're gonna get the snotty could of justice league and now here. We are three and a half years after the original justice league movie and there is a lot to say about this movie. You got a preface pretty much everything. I'm going to say here tonight with this. I'm not that guy who was like. Oh my god. I can't wait to see this matter as a matter of fact when i heard that one brothers was going to spend seventy million dollars. Zack snyder finish this thing. I think prior to this movie. I thought she was like the best dc film. I think this. I think that's fair. I like i like segments of other dc fans. But i guess it's a whole piece of a work art.
