"He pulled me right off. The bat he goes. That type of alarm is usually wired to a police station. This is not a good hit for you. I go listen by the time the wire it's the police station. I could go women and take that shit. That's knows things. And i'm not gonna run towards the cops. I'm going to run away from the cops to the condo. Got him in that closet. I could just go up there lot. My fuck in stuff up there and lock myself in the apartment that he cools off he goes. You got a point i go. How much response. Time i have. He goes well depending on what they're doing. I mean you could see from the jewelry store you could see the mall and the police station was on top of the mall. So i say it was. Maybe it was maybe a six or seven mile walk. Maybe a four five minute drive but if the cops are under the substation dead poesy eighty two. I'm gonna see the light coming out. you know. So he goes. That's that's what it is he goes for me. It's not worth it but if you feel you could go in there and break the glasses and take everything out. So i went up there. He didn't have cameras. I would study what i needed but the stuff to make it more efficient. My plan was to cut the wire so that would get deterred going through the back door. Comment pop the six locks and then go back with a bag and empty everything. Run out through the front door. push me through. A path takes me to my hidden condo. My little back cave. Where i put on my construction clothes and walked back down the hill past the cops like nothing happened. I was just doing some work up there for him. That was the plan. On a fucking tuesday and i was gonna stick to it because the following weekend was going to be new year's and then it was gonna be january was going to be no fucking money and fucking asked him which is ally. There's still money up there but the big money is going to be christmas fucking week. I wanna do this one. Heist lay low all of january. Fuck with the head. I bring them up to the house up in the daytime. I bring all my tools up in the house in the daytime. And i'm ready to fucking go. The only problem i should have done was actually created a diversion. I should've let some on. Fire blew up of optum. Bond was something. That's why i fucked up. But everywhere else i was okay. I had all my basis covered up. Data check sure enough. He left with some check. Left all the diamond rings and bracelets and all the other knickknacks he had in the glass. I'm ready to go here. We go now. Like i said this time i had destroyed the mall on christmas eve so cops around high end and even fucking it in the local snowmass paper. Snowmass village more terrorized on christmas eve. I kicked out a few doors. Yeah the guy's kaunda drum. I still think about the conduct drummer. Mike i have no class whatsoever when it comes to being a klepto. I'm happy. I can tell you people stories because of not. Keep them in the closet and they'll drive me fucking crazy so the day comes exciting sunday. I'm rob this motherfucker. I look out my window and snowflakes dispirit coming down that this big this fucking big is a fucking utopia a snow. It is coming down like it's nobody's fucking business. I put my boots on. I put my little winter clothing on. I take a little walk up there. They're open business. As usual people are going in the mountain is covered. Every tight is to go to. This place called the stew pot. It's still there. They make the best fucking store in the world. They used to make a burgundy beef. That would make.

I watched a movie called the thief with james caan. I was doing all these. Little klepto moves and i thought it was time for me. The pull the fucking trigger. I felt it was time for me to go packing big time so between us i always told right. The classes and i took residential wiring as an elective. I took residential wiring swipe to learn how to break into a fucking house. Make sense to you now. Residential wiring. 'cause i was crazy about being a tricia. No i took residential wiring. Because it would give me an intro into wiring and then it just so happened. I got good at it and i started working.

"Go back to Utah to continuous law degree instead. He went to Colorado with only one goal in mind to rape and slaughter as many women as he could on January twelfth. Nineteen seventy five twenty eight year old. Ted made his way to the ski town of Snowmass Village. Colorado where he abducted twenty-three-year-old Karen Campbell. From the wildwood in Karen was staying at the end while on a ski vacation with her fiance that evening. The couple was relaxing by the fire in the lobby when she left to grab a magazine from their room she stepped into the hotel elevator and was never seen again. Thirty six days later her body was found naked and ravaged by animals in the surrounding mountains and soon there were more from January to July of nineteen seventy five. Ted Killed Four more victims the same epidemic of missing women that plagued the Pacific Northwest and Utah was now happening in Colorado but before Thornton could lead. The murder stopped. Ted once again moved on. It's unclear why but Ted traveled back to Salt Lake City in early July. Perhaps it was to visit his second long distance girlfriend Sharon our whatever the reason his returned to. Utah was his biggest misstep yet on August sixteenth. Nineteen seventy five at two. Am Ted was pulled over by police and his car was searched inside. They found a series of suspicious items rope. An ice pick a crowbar and handcuffs among others but to the police officer. These weren't weapons of murder. They were burglary tools. Ted was arrested but ultimately released without bail. It was only after he'd walked back into the night that the police noticed something. Chilling Ted matched. The description of a wanted suspect Carol Tarantulas kidnapper. A few days later Ted was brought back to the station to participate in a lineup of suspects for Carol to identify in preparation Ted entirely altered his appearance shaving his moustache and changing his haircut but nothing would Carol Forget. The face of her would be killer. Those thin lips at straight pointed knows it was him. Ted was arrested and charged with Carol. Garages abduction for months as he languished in jail awaiting trial. Ted Wasn't identified for a single other crime and so on February twenty third. Nineteen seventy six twenty nine year old. Ted was tried for kidnapping and nothing more at the trial. Ted was anything but defeated or remorseful. He felt exhilarated. He loved the intensity of the courtroom. He may not have finished law school but he used his own case as a way to flex his legal know how ted wanted to be as involved as possible in his defense. He did extensive research and frequently consulted with his attorney. He strutted around the courtroom confident that he would win the fight. He was wrong on March. First Ted was found guilty and sentenced to one to fifteen years in prison. For the first time he'd have to suffer the consequences of his actions and it wasn't long before his true crimes came back to haunt him eight months into a sentence. Ted was charged with Karen Campbell's murder for months detectives in Colorado had been gathering circumstantial. Evidence that place Ted at the wildwood. In at the time Karen went missing when they learned their prime suspect had already been imprisoned for kidnapping. They believed they had their man thirty year. Old Ted was extradited to Colorado that winter? Ted lost his biggest supporters Liz clip for and Sharon. Our listen Sharon had stood by Ted side throughout the Carol. Durant trial completely unaware that he was seeing both of them but with the murder charge. The two women reached their breaking points. They both left him and so with few supporters. Left and with the looming. Possibility of a death sentence. Ted took matters into his own hands on July seventh. Nineteen seventy seven. Ted attended a pretrial hearing in Aspen. Colorado that would determine whether or not he would face the death penalty that morning during a court recess. Ted asked to use the courthouses low library. This was not an unusual request. Just like he had with the Carol durant trial. Ted was adamant about researching his own defense. And so the deputies allowed Ted access alone and unshackled as the deputies waited in the hallway outside Ted. Open the libraries second story window and jumped. As soon as he hit the ground he felt. Us hearing pain. Shoot up his leg. The impact tore ligaments in his ankle. But Ted didn't stop. He scrambled to his feet and sprinted toward the surrounding mountains. By the time deputies realized he was gone he'd already disappeared into the Colorado wilderness. Ted's escape was no impulsive decision. For weeks he'd been planning his escape and he'd worn multiple layers of clothing for the occasion. He was going to need all the warmth he could get to survive freezing nights at elevated altitudes Ted was determined to go as high and as far as he could. Ted Remembered psyching himself up as he made his way into the mountains. He later told journalists. I was saying to myself again and again you must go. You must go. Don't hesitate. Don't stop. Don't stop Ted had good reason to keep running because very soon an army of Colorado ones rallied together to hunt him down. Authorities orchestrated a sweeping manhunt locals from the area even showed up to volunteer on horseback armed with rifles. Everyone it seemed wanted to track Ted Bundy down. Police set up checkpoints on the only two roads out of Aspen. Hoping they'd catch the killer as he tried to flee town but not a single vehicle contained the runaway murderer. That was because Ted left his first night on the Lam he broke into an empty hunting cabin only partway up the mountain. He spent every night after outside in the freezing woods trekking the wilderness with his injured ankle. Just steps ahead of team of search dogs but eventually a brutal rainstorm forced Ted from his hiding place in the mountains exhausted starving and nearly twenty five pounds lighter. He made his way to a small town below. Got A meal and stole a car. It was time to get out of dodge. But Ted's Road to freedom was short on July thirteenth nineteen seventy seven at two. Am Police stopped a car driving erratically and the highway inside a haggard looking man with wild eyes squinted into the beam? Of the officers flashlight. Finally they found Ted. Bundy was on the run for nearly a week before he was apprehended. When he returned to prison he flashed his signature grin for the cameras and reporters crowded around him. He cracked jokes downplaying his escape. He told them honest to God. I just got sick and tired of being locked up for the next five. And a half months Ted languished in prison awaiting his murder trial but he had no intention of setting foot in court with a twenty five pound headstart after his escape. He continued to starve himself until he was thin enough to fit through an opening in the ceiling of his cell where light fixture hadn't yet been installed in the early hours of December thirty first. Nineteen seventy seven. Ted made his move at less than one hundred forty pounds. He lifted himself through the hole in his ceiling and army crawled through the air shafts into the guards apartment located above his cell from bear. "I'm sitting there watching like an echo of the same fucking thing. I just saw two different people. Now as Suming that this wasn't some good spiracy. Where some weird God. Damn freakish improv on the spot people are trying to fuck with some solitary belly room comedian sitting on the couch. Then that indicates to me that there was like a kind of Eddie like a ripple that was happening there, a little fucking energetic ripple that people who weren't protected or who aren't who are a little too reactive when they were getting in it, they were acting like it, and then, you know, trying to make sense of it later. That's so many people just do shit. And then they try to make sense of it later. You know, they don't even know why they did. They just do a thing. And then later, they try to make sense of it. That happens all over the planet like you. If you've been watching this Ted Bundy documentary on yet, not yet a couple of people hit me up on. Yeah. Yeah. The ten one story where I saw whatever I saw the store was at the top of the belly room. I was Mitzi was in Japan and the main room, and I didn't wanna walk pastor. So I stood by the door watching what was on stage, and I felt energy over my right shoulder. And I kept focusing on the comic. But something was hitting. My is something was making that light not blink. But like somebody was standing in front of it. When I finally did decide the look up. It was like the person it was kennison. It looked like kennison type took his jacket spun it like a cable walked into the belly roads. Oh shit. Whatever I felt and I feel his cold whatever that was it. That was my only go sleep experience at the thing back to. The Bundy this is the really weird thing. When I'm moved to Snowmass village in eighty three. They're dry. I eighty three. You know that area within two months and one had a friend. That was a chef that certain celebrities hired him how he made his living in the winter was people would come in. And they would hire him as a chef Michael Douglas Sydney on people that share. Jack, nNcholas guy's name. Randy one night. We would just walk into a bar that was called. It was like the local watering home on Friday night Snowmass village. And he showed me. He showed me the hotel where Bundy I took a woman phone Snowmass village up and see if you can find Bundy in Snowmass village, I think I just saw it on the documentary. We get the name of the fucking hotel. This is their Horder is this the reporter. He was like she was on the news. I do not. I don't remember all the fat. And then when he escaped from Aspen county jail fucking, no fence, -ly Lee is not a criminal and Lee 'cause the skate for Madison County jail. Okay. Okay. At least not we could just walk out the door and track the wilderness in the wild would with a wild. And there you go. That's what he took two chicks from Meeks. Brought down for me. So now up at Aspen one day at banning out. The end out was a restaurant that my buddy Steven volumes. Still comes to my shows when I perform a buffalo of Florida because he's retired..

"Simple as that. So then then we have the breaking news from earlier today. That. And I I I have the print out here from various sources that the Trump administration has given the FBI. So essentially told the director Ray that the Trump administration, according to reports is leading the FBI expand the cavenaugh approp- and Trump said as much during the presser today. Trump said, hey, listen, let the FBI go where they wanna go. I don't think there's any behind the scenes wink and nod. No, I don't think Christopher Wray would want any part of that or be any part of that or Lao his agency to be manipulated in that fashion. So the indications here are that President Trump. And the White House is saying is much. Now the last couple of hours that they are allowing and authorizing the FBI to expand the cavenaugh investigation. Which means interviewing more people nine of the Democrats. So what does the number twenty four? There's this word out from earlier today that the Democrats handed over about twenty four. Yeah. I just wanted confirmation that the the Democrats wanted and the handed over list of twenty four individuals they want the FBI to investigate. And of course, by tomorrow, Ican aunt one hundred two that I'm sure the Democrats are going to want one hundred twenty four investing. And then the next day. It'll be twenty four has less. Does it escape me? I know the score. I get it. I know that the Democrats are trying to just delay delay delay run out the clock, hopefully, win the midterm elections in the house. But more importantly, the Senate since this is a confirmation under the Senate purview, obviously. And they would love to stop Trump dead in his tracks the house, I'm scared. The house could go democrat that that oh by God. But the Senate that's a tougher climb. But it's not out of the question. And then you wanna talk about just nasty despicable payback against Trump. It would be it would be it'd be like nothing we've ever seen where a president in power and his party, not faring well in the midterms and that historically has happened as we know. But if this happened now. Oh, my it's going to be. Whatever you think it is exponentially jacket up by one hundred. Grabby calls here in a second. But just expanding on this expanded cavenaugh paroled that the Trump administration has told the F B FBI have added investigate whoever and whatever you want the agreement was get it done in a week. And of course, we know what's going to happen. The Democrats are gonna start bellyaching anytime. Now all weeks not enough. We need two weeks already through. Let's get it done in a week. A lot can be done in a week. So the New York Times earlier today reported that the Trump administration is going to allow the FBI to go where they want to go investigate an interview who they want to. They think is necessary. In order to in this timeframe. Investigate any allegations against capital. And will the White House agree to concessions while the White House then on Friday because the investigation is supposed to be wrapped up by Friday will the White House then on Friday say okay, we're gonna get the FBI another week or maybe the three or four days, it'll it has to be concluded by Tuesday or Wednesday. Is that a possibility? Well, it wasn't the fact that the White House and the New York Times is reporting that the White House has agreed to let the FBI go where they want to go and that Trump signed off on this. I we that shows already there concessions. Will they concede and allow a little more time with the FBI at the end of the week who knows? Mcconnell is saying there's going to be a vote this week. So that means wait a minute. The F. I I don't know how that happens at the FBI investigation concludes by CEO be on Friday. Close of business on Friday. I don't know how you have a vote. On friday. I mean, maybe again will this be that special Saturday session that McConnell told the Senate staffers and senators to plan for last weekend? Maybe they'll maybe the love begin debate and open it up on on Saturday. Maybe they'll walk work all weekend. So there you have it. That's the latest. All right. Eight hundred eight zero one eighty nine ninety nine nationwide number here on Schnitt back to phones, let's grab how about Thomas is in Snowmass village in Colorado. Hello, Thomas, Huron, Schnitt. Hi, todd. I love your your scores. Scorched earth mentioned listen. I'm just I'm just amazed that Dr Ford has been escaping do scrutiny. I mean when she got up there she lost diminished. She started reading from a script that she was terrified. I mean, it just that didn't that didn't that didn't watch with me. She showed look right into the the audience, the senators, and then she spoke like a traumatized child with arrested development. Yes. She's a college. Professor. Yeah. I mean, I I'm sure he was coached to behave as though it just happened last week. But I I am just I'm just not buying it off. I think she was traumatized. Yes. But how how Thomas he Thomas, you might be you might be the minority there and pick him county, Colorado, right? I don't know. I hope not. You might you might be a couple of things. A couple of things as far as her being terrified on this. And I believe she was nervous. I mean, anybody I would imagine testifying under these circumstances before a Senate committee under penalty of perjury. I would imagine that you'd be a little bit nervous as far as having prepared remarks and reading that doesn't trouble me because also keep in mind that Cavanaugh who certainly is more verse that public speaking. He also read from prepared remarks now as far as the demeanor the presentation, the timbre in her voice, she had that kind of squeaky little girl sound for a while she kind of moved in and out of that which was kind of odd. She also had, you know, vocal fry, which drives me nuts vocal fry is a salad where the talk. You know, the Kardashians are famous for that vertical vocal fry a lot of teenagers in the millennials these days. A lot of women are talking with that younger women with that vocal fry and she had that plus the little girl voice. It was it was odd when she opens her mouth. It was not what I expected. I don't know if that's her normal speaking voice what she coached. I do believe she was Thomas, but as far as reading prepared remarks. I think there are times where you know, what you have written, and that you could come off script and be or come across is a little more. Intimate. Come across is a little more engaged. But again, you know, she says, she's not a pro. So I I will give her the benefit of that doubt. But you raise a lot of questions Thomas, which I think are fair. What do you think about cavenaugh? I think that judicially you look at his history. And it just it doesn't lend itself to these accusations now might have been drunk or drinking a little bit in high school and college were maybe a lot of bit in high school and college, but that doesn't turn you into a rapist is is the bottom line here. It doesn't. Were you impressed with his temperament? I was not impressed with the behavior. I liked. I liked the way he came out swinging in his opening statement by appearing to defend his honor. And the accusations. I thought though Thomas you're correct times during the hearing where temperament I think he was trying a little bit too hard because the war reports also that Trump was not happy that he wasn't forceful enough during his regular questioning during the regular hearings the week prior. They'll reports the President Trump thought that he could have been a little more aggressive and tougher. And and this is according to a an interview on FOX. And I think that maybe Cavanaugh was trying to compensate a little bit for the fact that Trump wanted him to turn up the juice. But it's not just that Thomas. I think also he has been stung he has been hurt. He has been crushed his family's been dragged through the mud. So I think it was a combination of Trump wanted to see him more in a in a protagonist position as well. As I think he's deeply hurt. And I think he was deeply showing emotion. So I think that's some of the temperament issues. I don't think he has the temperament issue. I think that there were a couple of incidents last week on Thursday where it came off. Because I think he was being a little maybe a little hyped up an aggressive just in that particular scenario. One question for you. Judge be nonpartisan. Should he was he started reeling about the Clintons and all this? Would you expect somebody sitting in that position to be nonpartisan? They should be and that's an area. I don't think said I got plenty issues with the Clintons. I'll talk about them all day long. Should he brought up the Clintons probably not? But again, I think he's Alterra qualified for this gig. I he deserves this gig his ratings from the ABA through the roof. And conversely, the ABA is now said that hey, he he needs to the needs to be an FBI investigation. So a lot of folks that have come to his defense have also said, hey, there needs to be this FBI investigation as I pointed out flake might have provided..
