The medical examiner determined the cause of death to be natural due to complications of chronic meth and fentanyl use. However, the review, which is now mandated by state law, recommends biosensor monitoring of inmates in medical and detox units. The King County Sheriff's Office tells us close the man by lived but they are saying if they believe that U -Haul or the trash behind it is connected to his death. Yeah something went south. Gary and Susan Smith say neighbors here have been on alert after issues with people illegally dumping in the area. People just abandon cars, they'll abandon boats, travel trailer, trailers. It appears lawmakers would like to help the state patrol fill some of its vacant positions House Bill 1638 addresses what Democrat Jack phi says is a major problem. Our only pathway has been going through the academy to pick up new cadets. Meaning even those with law enforcement experience would have to go back to the academy if they wanted to be a state patrol trooper. 1638 creates a separate training program for lateral recruits the bill passed both chambers of the state legislature with only a single no vote democratic state representative Melanie Morgan of Parkland. There has been a recent surge of youth violence in the city of Tacoma and some community groups there are trying to do something about it. Coma force Joel Moreno spoke with one of the organizations that is leading the effort. A nonprofit called safe streets. It's been around for decades, but it recently launched two new programs to keep teenagers out of trouble, nor Fleming to Sandoval says one immediate need is mental health support. So kids could talk about the challenges they face at home and on the streets. A second program called jobs two 5 three involves a partnership with Tacoma public schools where teams can gain work skills and be mentored by community leaders. Federal Paycheck Protection Program Preserves 500 000 Jobs in Seattle Area
"So did the Seattle Times and the Foster Garvey law firm other local companies received under $10. We're talking about two beneficiaries of the Federal Paycheck Protection program or from Cuomo's. Update on Vaccine Administration in Washington State
"This week a lot of washingtonians suddenly became eligible for covid vaccines. But as kyw's anna boyko y rock reports the supply of doses is still limited. There are not enough vaccine doses in the state for all the teachers school staff in childcare workers right away in all that's around a quarter of a million people instead. The state department of health says there will be doses for half of them over the next two weeks. The goal is for everyone in the newly eligible group to get at least one dose by the end of the month. Snohomish county health officer dr chris bidders urges patients. You may not get your maxine today or this week but keep trying. You will get one soon. The federal government is sending doses for this new group to six pharmacy chains in the state.
