It was a hobby for the socially inept our dark time business activity like customer newsletter. Just as it would be ba- bad to present. Teenage pregnancy is appealing. I think it's misleading. That really nega pass up lifetime movie for rerun criminal minds or ncis or two and a half men for that matter actually respect jazz van nineteen forty nine. He logged hot in cleveland. This is another show. Yep this that was a great review. Honestly i loved it. But i i have to say it doesn't ring true for me. I thought it was slightly better than that. Yeah it wasn't the worst thing i've ever seen. I've definitely seen more boring time movies and it was like was is it necessarily cool to take a lifetime movie. No but this is like it's absolutely a job that like needs to be done and this was a big story so like when lifetime goes all in on like a ripped from the headlines story. That's actually a big deal for for them. You know though. I will say if i remember correctly when i when this was being this moving pro mode. They definitely lean into the salaciousness of more end. It's not a salacious. So i could maybe get if you watch this base off of the commercials like oh shit. Pregnancy path in. It's like okay. Like nine edgy. Sex sells ill while seyni you guys. "I mean yeah. She's good person she's like actually i. I stood up. And i saved your mom's spot on the student council like It was all me. And it's like okay way to like take that narrative i i mean it's brings us full circle to remember me right. You're still here. Remember me exactly but that's still watch and it's like it would be cute if it wasn't for everything else like in another context it would be like you know i dunno. What else are you supposed to say. Someone needs met sydney literally just like lake set off a bomb and walked away from this town. Yeah for sure i so. He's like proud of it. Sydney said that she heard bockman resigned because he'd been punished by the mayor in the school committee for the pact thing and as of now none of the eighteen girls admitted to being in a packed. There's a long waiting lists at high school daycare center and she suspects that at least one girl will drop out because she didn't get a spot at the daycare but then she also thinks that most girls will learn that nothing will turn out the way they expected and that they launch themselves journey. It's more difficult than they ever imagined. And we see. Sarah lake just sitting in the courtyard school and jesse walks by and she led lights up and he grabs girl with pink t-shirt that setting ahead of her and it's just like it's so rough out And then We see sarah giving birth playing with their baby on the bedroom. Florence baby girl They need to help. Young girls prevent pregnancy and support them. So that if they do give birth to them what every new parent deserves to hear. Congratulations on the new baby. We wish you both nothing but joy. I mean what do we think. Pregnancy part the message has been muddled. Like so i can agree with the conclusion like yes. We should do what we can to prevent teen pregnancy. In the event that a teen mother does choose to keep her baby. We need to make sure that we're able to support this person in the shout right But a- the way they got to that conclusion. I feel didn't make sense. It of it was focused on the whole like. This is a societal issue. Like what do we do. we do to prevent. What did you prevent this. It's like i don't know the logical conclusion in this movie is what sydney ends up with the end right. Also it's not really something you can finger on like. Wow considering everyone's point of views right like they barely the fact that no one in this movie got an abortion is very interesting because that's three obvious options. We saw people considering You know adoption. We heard sydney say that. She got a fake out. Abortion it felt like very much Lake like the they wanted to somehow preserver. Like have some sort of honor in it so that this would be something that like christian parents could show their children. Yeah i can see that. Yeah because abortion is never really considered to be a a real legitimate option right and everybody everybody even like you know. Everybody who abortion is is offered to is like absolutely not. I never would like you know. There's new absolutely nobody who even like takes a moment to consider. It is being an option. Except for jesse's dad but he's already set up as being asshole in the movie right and like the only character that like. It's something that you could say like. Oh they talk about abortion but like it turns out. The character didn't actually have once. She keep the baby per adoption and also abortion the abortion storyline. with jesse's. Dad is definitely like i think a way to kind of like a another know about Jesse's father's wealth 'cause specifically he will pay for your abortion so it was like set up in a way that's just seems like it seems like it but it's like well i dunno know it's it's an option right right immune it definitely is like you can see how like in a christian youth group if they watched us be like the father represents the devil right because he only cares about the greed of his. Try like you know we as greed about child like. That's exactly what they would. Yeah and and the so. I would say that this is like honestly what i watch says. If i wasn't hosting this podcast maybe if i if it happened to be on tv. Maybe definitely had seen this before. And i wanted it to be juicier in less of like a cautionary tale but whenever there's a movie about teen pregnancy the audience is primarily teens That is like who the movie is made for at like on a base level. Nine hundred hundred ten so it has to be something accommodating. I feel you know. I wish that it was more i know. I wish it was more raw. But i agree. Yeah overall pretty good. Let me check. Imdb for any leg fun nuggets who yes okay Well the only trivia is satirically based on a true story. I don't know if i would say satirically who i do know this. I don't know if this'll be on. Imdb but there is a french movie that is about the pregnancy pact called seventeen girls. Oh really and i watched it like years ago. i remember. It had definitely having a of dark tone to it in a little bit more of a juicy edginess to it. That's so interesting. did it take place in. The states was at like based off the real thing so took place in france. Actually so it's inspired more by like the event or just the concept of you know seventeen girls entering into a pregnancy pact But not specifically in in massachusetts. Why love that I love that. Okay so factual errors and reality. There was no pregnancy pact locker. High a couple girls who were friends agreed to help each other raise their babies when they discovered they were pregnant in the school. Principal in the media distorted this being agreement to get pregnant at the same time. Sydney bloom claims that teen pregnancy rates are going up across the country however data from the cdc seats that teen pregnancy is at its lowest rate since the nineteen eighties. You got that When lands the stick to the nurse read the nurses not wearing gloves and holds by both ends one of which is supposed to have been urinated on notice that it's pretty gross. Let me let me see if there's a great review they change the imdb website. a lot. And i feel like a lot of resentment about it same. It's very confusing. Oh another lifetime loser. This is by jazz fan. Nineteen forty eight. This is a gave it a two out of ten. I cannot believe. I wasted time watching this waiting for it to get better even make some sense. I'm afraid this could be a career killer for some talented people who obviously needed a paycheck. The only valuable lesson religion driven communities tend to be so complacent in smug that instead of embracing their children building values. They actually just set them adrift in life with absolutely no clues about sacks slash sexuality with or without birth control career and family life or the nitty gritty facts about pregnancy and parenthood with or without abortion parenthood with or without a. That's great it all easy to get into some sociopolitical issues here but to refocus on the movie. It's sufficient to say that. It's poorly plotted badly. Written photographed.

"High. Now that's over dude. She looks exhausted so troy. Jessie are hanging out neural agreeing that they need to move on at home. Sarah's parents are exhausted in the living room She's like i'm going out to find jesse and they're like miniature. No wait a minute. You weren't just sneaking around your plotting in lying. This is like so much more than we thought there's like. Am i grounded or not nearly punishment. You heard so many people doing this. Sarah's like well you wouldn't let me be myself. I'm supposed to be a perfect girl and i'm not you know. What am i supposed to do. I am not loved to do anything. And i'm supposed to hide myself. My baby won't care if i have sex or not. My baby won't care for go to college or not. I love so if i'm not grounded i'm gonna go find him so at the summer party. The beers are flowing caruso walks up to sarah. I i do kinda like stan. How they just show. These pregnant girls getting hammered. Like the whole movie like this is so I know it happens. But like it's always a taboo like getting fully hammered like in their bikinis. Giving very strongly donell evans lives for shore in lake. Just i think back on like Breaking bad when i i watched it and like i've i've been smoking for a long time. I like smoke much less now but I was you know. I was just remember like breaking bad when i first saw skyler white smoking a cigarette it like spoke to me on so just spiritual level because like i realized it really was. I was like oh. I'm watching a show about bad people doing things that like. I totally get like. That's when it hit. I was like okay. I get it. I get what i'm watching now. It's so like i can only imagine how delicious it would be the smoke a cigarette after like eight. Nine months of just being completely repressed. That reminds me of this show. I don't remember the name of it but british show and like the thing they basically. I guess they were also hopping on like the teen pregnancy. Wave it was like them. profiling on every episode Deng pregnant woman or a teenager and trying to get hurt A healthier lifestyle and one of the episodes was a woman who or grows pregnant and was like just chain smoking her whole pregnancy in her mom and smoke with her and and so on and so forth and then going to the doctor and finding out at smoking was bad for the baby. 'cause they were under the impression that like it was good for his lungs like practice. Wait what was this. it's like british show. I don't remember the name of it. I swear it exists but like what does the trashy reality like. British shows like documentary series in like each episode featured. Another pregnant girl. And like. oh we're gonna teach you how to live a healthier lifestyle now. You're pregnant like to stop yogurt vices. Not you're pregnant. And this girl chain smoked and she and her whole family thought that it was good for the baby. I love a premise of lake. Were going to help you quit your vices during your pregnancy talking nuts. And we need more of that that's bonkers. it's amazing. i am going to play this. Little of the party. Blew my cat. Just absolutely fucking yak on my I just changed my sheets and you just walked on my sheets so clean that while we listen to this clip. Just you guys can imagine what i'm doing One seven twenty eight to one ten fifteen. Have you seen jesse williams. I need to find bad about what we did. Act what paths. There is no pants. That's not even funny. Look at her. She blames me. The pact was not my idea. i don't even know why i went along with it. I hate this war right. You know we were so dumb. We work expensive would be happening if nobody's now now. If you think that then you're still be seen rose. She cries nonstop. Her grandmother has to make her hold her baby. Well then she's the dumb one. I'm going to hold my baby all the time i got to find. Jesse helped me find him. Please please pretty play fine. You're seeing no way. Beverly would won. "Wearing a top hat. I mean jesse in a jesse engine from pollyanna remarried dating. How a steam punk wedding and it was pretty medal. What do you mean by industrial will we're having at the venue is like a chemical warehouse. Feel so it's like a lot of exposed brick and you know you know we're we're not that original it's very common Look right now but kind of like that. Industrial sort of semi rustic fallish wedding kind of bringing in lake a little bit of nature. But it's like you know we're in baltimore so i'm so happy for you guys. Thank you so fine. So yeah Let's play one. Oh one to fifty three to one or three time. I'm giving the statement today to put to rest the notion that i am foggy in my memory or that. My memory has failed since june eleventh till this day. The mayor has not called me or had any conversation whatsoever with me concerning the time magazine interview. I believe that everything. I told the time reporter about intentional pregnancies. Among a group of girls at the high school was and is accurate. Although i honestly don't remember using the word packing the last two weeks my family and i have been harassed and ranked by reporters and the press and for that reason i will not give out in the name of any of my sources concerning the pregnancy issue at the high school children need to be left alone with their parents and families to deal with the consequences of their actions. Was there a pact or not. I will have nothing more to say on this matter. But your interview with time. Magazine started all of this pact. Or wasn't there just won't stop. We'll they threw involved in these tensioness. Kids the marlins complained all i mean. I don't know what happened in that conversation with the time reporter. I do think this is like a lot of blame on bach men. But i mean yeah. The sources issue is definitely the pregnancy. Yeah it was It's interesting because it is still left as lake. I mean implications are that obviously the school board is like throwing him under the bus. But it's like where did you hear this from like he. I mean he has to protect source but even like the dispute over whether or not. He used the word packed. Like what did you say. I i just don't think that guy is privy to that too would be privy to that dialogue. Like the and i imagine is that he was bragging to that reporter in. That's why they chose like a dynamic good looking young woman. When it's movie is full of that and traditionally casting like would probably not go for that unless there was some implication that maybe he was like bragging or got ahead of himself. Because of the you know a combo of like wanting to please her and wanting to Give a great quote to time. Yeah also what an interesting crisis communications strategy from the school where to blake. The principal is foggy memory hanging inquiry way to start managing him out. I'll say that you know likes league's little senile then so sydney s sarah discerning publicly to confirm or deny the pack so that the media will leave them alone. And sarah doesn't wanna do that. She didn't want she doesn't want to deal with that and she's doing this on the side of the restaurant so then jessi comes into the restaurant and approaches lorraine about like where sarah i wanna talk to her. So they go looking for her and sydney is just finishing up saying to sarah. She can come out and she can say you know yes. There was a packed in. We can you. And she's like gets. Cut off right as jesse and lorraine here that there was in fact a packed They could have probably like backpedalled their way out of that really quickly but they both just like know. Neither of them are great liars. And jesse like you know. He's like you lied to me. You deceive me Chris's mom drops orissa off. This is like the big party ranger. yeah so This is like we're gonna play the scene. I thought this scene with courses mom's she's kind of the mvp of the movie for me And the scene was good. This party brings a lot of action. one oh four. Forty two one. Oh five thirty seven. What go have to work him troy. I don't want him to know. He has legal obligations to you. And the baby. You're such a hypocrite. You never told my father about me own it. Has it seem like. I've been having fun having a kid all by myself. Why do you want to be like me. I've worked my body off so you can have something better but you don't want to gal. Don't stay out late right. So you know chris's mom's coming at this from like a totally different angle than sarah's todd. Where she's like. No you can't don't take the high road like like this guy does have a book obligation when like i don't think there's anything wrong with that That is definitely like. I've definitely hurt like seen and heard of groups that do that intentionally knowing that they'll get child support like i've heard of that before but this is like yeah I feel so bad for chris's mom she's only thirty one. Yeah choose planning on having her hot girl summer after.

"Now. Prefer private conversation. Need some of the council members asked me to speak to you. you know. we're under a microscope right now. We can't afford any more controversy. Everyone knows michael was arrested. Schopenhauer house invade our privacy and home michael wayne handcuffs. I'm sure that he was good and provoked. The thing is people know that he's married to the president of the council. And then there sarah the woman just have down. They were hoping you'd see. That was best with the council. Yes and i know that you played his full enough with your family issues I'll think about it. I'll let you know friday night meeting. Okay i mean liga headline for this whole clip. This both scenes could just be like. What did you expect. Leg of courses family values. group is going to turn on you. Sarah yeah your life is hell lake your windshield. When she's like it's all my fault isn't it. I feel like it was a total like sarah manipulation tactic. She wanted her dad to be like you told right but he was legiter walkway right like girl. No one's gonna come for you anymore. You're dodges spent the night in jail like how dare you even ask like like you entered a blood of pregnancy blood oath. I spent the night in jail. Okay our marriage is falling apart. Your mom does lost her. Cushy little council gig like yeah things are kinda rough so it's just does he can't talk to you right. So sara goes by. Sydney's plays i think sydney i guess she's renting this place like where she was. Staying was very unclear to me because obviously She doesn't have a family house or anymore and she is just like watching. Tv when sarah stops by and she's like oh thanks coming by None of the other girls are returning my phone calls And she's guy had a rough couple of days. You know things for not telling anyone you know our conversations going to be off the record right. And she's like yeah she's like what question you have. She goes. why did you get pregnant on purpose in. Sarah says it's normal to have a baby. She just had hers early. Sydney doesn't understand why she'd hurt her future so badly. Because lay she's like yeah like in the olden times like ohio how babies when they were twelve. It's not a big deal. They also live till they were like forty signal. One yelled at mary over this. I don't get why everyone's mad at me right. So oh yeah you're so true. So then she's like. Oh you know. I just want to get married and have a family with jesse like sorry if my dreams are big enough for you but it's all one i just want to get married and have kids. And then she gets a call from that. Rose had her babies so they go to the hospitals sydney. Sarah the two of them. Go and chris's taking care of rose when they get there and and and so is while she's in bad shape. She got thirty seven stitches. Sarah doesn't even understand. Like what would need stitches. She got thirty seven kids. Where yeah. I might talk to you thing. Where baby cambridge honey like. Oh my god like she's in trouble she's in trouble. So shit you can take. Sarah take me is like is the baby. Okay and our boyfriends. Like i guess they put the baby on an incubator because we know rose was smoking and drinking throttle or pregnancy chain-smoking while she was pregnant so sydney holds roses hand. And she's like get hurt so much Sarah calls jesse from the hospital. And she's like i need. I need to meet you at the restaurant. And she like looks through the little window into the you know nick. You're whatever and she sees the babies like her up that stock footage of like a preemie. No it's by the way they would fully video cam footage of is this what they screen shot to put on lake canadian cigarettes. Like what the fuck whose baby is like. What am i looking at. So sydney finds brady in in the hallway. She heard that bachmann is making a statement that afternoon. what's it about. he's like. Oh i don't know but he's been in his office all day working on it. He said listen. I was thinking about what you do. Here you talk too much but absurd. Nece- that talking about this is important. it's very lake asshole like you fucking think like after the school nurse quitting of eighteen pregnant teens on your hands No shed left on it and every last. We should do something about this. He's responsible for these kids. Okay we need to add more than just the one sex ed class. You need to have a talk about the right time to have a kid. And the right you know time to injure news prevention. And she's like gap. That's we definitely do. She's like rosetta baby. she's not doing well. It was pretty rough like wow. You're you're lucky you never had to go through that kind of fucked up. Because she is yes already. Now you mean like in a way. It's kind of like while you'll never be a mother like it's like the thing to say fuck you like i kind of don't care. If like he gives out free condoms for life lake. This man needs to go to therapy and he's just taking it out on everyone he's like. Yeah good thing. You don't have to go through that like my beautiful wife. Their two children my beautiful children. Your does your fiancee therapy. Yes he does. That's so good. How did you know he was the one. Oh this is like a kind of a lame story. But i genuinely. I genuinely believe that. I was like no. This is love. I went to philadelphia's aaron express when we were like in college. And i got very drunk. And i woke up at his place i went over there was drunk. I woke up in. There was like This hot dog and fries misplace. That i love just like waiting for me knows like this is love like he's anticipating needs right. Now that's really we need. Stock goes a long way. That's how reese wondering guys getting married next october october. Twenty ninth we. Do you have like a team. "She's planning a really romantic surprise. Close faira god. It's so lost on him. I know it's so once he knows he can be in sydney log. So that's like the whole thing she's like you can be in sydney's log to like everything coming up. Sarah charging across the field. And as you know what's his out. He's like this this guy chris's baby daddy. He's like what's this. I hear about me being the one who knocked you up. He's like. I heard you were trying to get pregnant and that you got baby fever from rose of course just wants to told them that like she won't say you know she wouldn't say something like that in these i the dad and she's like just get away from me and he goes fine for wreak which is like such a lifetime thing. 'cause he would've said Car freak like totally. Yeah so chrissa. Right away is like sarah. I swear to god tell anyone anything in sarah's like well then how did he find out so i mean that is a good question. How did we find out. How did he find out. We never get to the bottom of that we never do. I didn't say it's like It's mystery we'll never know like just never know like where this rumor started if it was well in in this movie it's real but in the real life is like was it real. We'll never know. I think i honestly think rose was the one who probably told someone. Yeah it really just takes one breach. Lay one person just in this problem too. You have so many people in this fucking packed. Like someone's going to talk to someone and it's gonna it's gonna. It's high school true. So sarah visits jesse by the dugout before she goes home and she's a can't wait to see later. So she's at the restaurant flipping through this like motherhood magazine that someone left behind and she starts to clear the table and pulls up like this side dish of onions. Basically and she drops it and bolts out the front door and just like throws up off the dock like next to our customers are eating on the dock and her mom like runs out actor and she's agree. Okay or do you have a fever. Her mom's absolutely overreacting. Like yeah people throw up. But like she's like what's wrong sara. I'm not sick. It was just the smell of those onions and nancy. Travis did you just say and like. I universals like signal for pregnancy. Like what the molly. I was watching this with my fiance. Il we both were like wait is like we were both very unsure of are we do. We just always. We don't know that that's like a common like yeah. We know it okay. Pregnant women tend to have extensive. Knows like you might get sick. But the specific -ness of the onions as like is our onions really triggering to pregnant women. Everyone knows that except for me. I feel like i've heard more like coffee. Oh really okay. Strong-smelling food yeah. Fragrant things can like like really turn people off. The onions thing freaked me out. Because she's like. Please don't be mad please. Don't be mad okay now. This is actually traumatic. this next scene. We're gonna play. So sarah's died fully drags her is coming in crying up to jesse's house to like you know explain yourself young man laid. Did you raw dog. My daughter and like steroids. Like i mean sarah just like i mean we know she's delusional so this is like who knows what this is even translating to in her mind. She's on her. Romeo.

"Oh yeah your mom's gonna give you an amazing reception of fish restaurant. We have a fish fry. I mean he does the classic dude thing which is to shut you up to fuck home you know. It's so sad so shush stor. I wrote in my notes. This would probably haunt me as an adult but it would definitely me spiraling later that afternoon. Like i'd be calling him and being like. Hey when you shush me like what does that mean like blake were. Were you just trying to like i. Would that would never. If i would've thought that so much. I think to this day it would probably still bother me. I think i would have definitely thought it was a good thing. Oh i would like oh you see because we're talking about having kids and like our feature and then he made love to me so like he must have like. He was spell him agreeing. Really my god sooner. I would have been like sarah and like a thought. Like oh yes. He definitely wants this then because like he's he's he's hard like he likes what i said like right. It probably would have taken me like you more heartbreaks to realize like oh like to see that. Oh my god all wow so. We headed Shut you up every when you're talking about your wedding and it's so sad then. We cut to the pool bathroom. It's full of light like remember. School bathrooms like how they always had that leg Just sort of like murky window thing that what do you call that. Just like a weird lake window word. I now i should know but Yes she steps out of the stall holding her pregnancy test. Bathroom was so visceral for me. I was like oh shit. Like i know what that room smells. Lake st as like no reaction when she gets the results. You just sort of like looks in the mirror. And then she tucks the test away in leaves when a group of younger girls come in she walks up to her friends and she says positive and they were like we thought your chicken out and she goes swear to god. Known can tell jesse. I made this happen. They're like we all swear. Go sarit. stop worrying it's done. You're going to have a baby. And she goes. Oh my god. I'm going have a baby it's like duluth. It's the most emotion you hear out of her like the entire movie it's so They cut really close to her face. It's feels very like seventh heaven where it's a little bit late This is the most demonic angels gonna get but it's like a little like there's a little lake delusion in her in that moment sarah's not well especially the whole i mean okay. It takes two to tango. They both agree to have unprotected sex. But she's like this happen. And i'm like why do i feel like sarah was tracking her ovulation. Like that's kind of what. I was wondering. What do you mean like you had unprotected. Sucks you moron duh. Times like a good chance he'll get pregnant or shore But i was. I was thinking the same thing i was like. Is this little freak like on a. I know that you have apps at the time. But he knew imagine like opens her like dell mac book that's like full of spyware whatever season ovulation. I mean. i can't imagine she's an ovulation church. She's been taking lake. Like black market. Fertility draw oh she definitely has been sneaking prenatal. -t's for sure this happen. Okay so sarah is Ob get another like card letting us know that this is a fictional portrayal of a real event that we see. Sarah is in her bedroom and she gets out of bed to look at herself in her marriage. She's like just dying to be showing. She has like a perfectly flat tummy so skinny. It's insane and she arches her back. Chris's mom knows that she's pregnant now. And she's pissed this is. I have to play the scene. Because it's like fucking heartbreaking sixteen. They're giving us everything that nancy travis family is not yes. Seen forty one to seventeen twenty one hat. I don't know maybe because. I already made this mistake. Maybe because you decided to bring another mouth to feed into this house. When i can barely feed you you better plan on getting a job to support. That baby and i am not going to be your bilton babysitter. Understand what is your deal. You always turn to mush around babies. I thought it'd be kind of pumped about getting to grandma on everything who wants to be a grandmother at thirty one for thirty one. Yeah i almost bullet cheeses i. It's like this mom is exhausted. Her life is hell. She is an everything she could to keep this guy alive all these years peragon and is excited about it right i third. She's thirty one years old. She just added another. She just added another like what seventeen or sixteen years to her sentence of lake. Taking care of these kids. it's crazy. how long you when she had charissa. i'm assuming curses. Maybe the same ages ceremony little older so fifteen sixteen. Jesus christ yeah. She's a endless fucking cycle. This poor woman it right. They gave us so much more than nancy travis in her family. I'm like i'm not curse story late. What is going on this house. I know there's like fifteen years of lake. Real childhood between them like career never had a real childhood because of lake. Just i mean this poor mom anyway so at the roberge comes into the school this is. I have a huge red flag about all this. The world is a mess. Zion in this. I think it's legal to walk on school. Promise like at all like without explicit reasons to be there. The idea that this girl is just walking around speaking to the miners. Like this is insane. So she comes into the office and she speaks to this administrator and I guess you'd put in a request earlier to speak to the nurse and she's to follow up on mab but the nurses at some board meeting petitioning for condoms So she's not there so when she catches the principal when he's leaving his office in follows them into the hallway and she basically finesses him until like a soft friday meeting time and then she runs into brady and he uses that as his chance to get out of there and she is like. Hey brady what's going on. And he's like what are you doing here. She's like you're from my work. i do log. he's i know. I watch it every night. And she on okay. So he's like. I'm a teen upper da. So she's like know it's about teen issues and i'm here to do a story about the pregnancies bike and he's like oh. You're doing a story about teen pregnancies. And she's like i think it's it's pretty impactful on a kid's life don't you and he's they just do us both a favor and find other place to do your story. And then she spots imam with a stroller bringing her baby to a designated daycare in the schedule. This girl is wearing classic. This is the This is the girl whose boyfriend is at. Salem state wearing classic like massachusetts teenage business casual. When i was in college like we went out and business casual like we would straight up like a out in like some. You know a nice j. crew top like a blouse leg. This is very standard for high schoolers to be wearing an taylor Nineteen.

"Doing i mean when i was fifteen. I knew i needed money in. I knew that a dependent would mean like especially starting out with no money less money like i would think like i. I would hope that they know that. I don't know okay Yes so we see sarah's part of this group but you kinda like hangs back on the outside and i it seems like she's like i don't know a friend of a friend or maybe someone that they don't even really hang out with sort of walking around with them She's not super engaged in that actress. Who played sarah please blank a lot like yeah very blank faced which like sometimes i actually think is an interesting choice because like when we don't have a lot to work with the character you don't wanna see it all on their face you know. Yeah they're going on and on about how they're gonna address. Baby girls alike Then the newly pregnant girl comes home to tell her mom. The big news in this feels very much like this is probably the average gloucester by bright. The house isn't like it's it's not very warm. You know what i mean. There's very leg just sparse furniture. It's not really a home She's calling around for a mom but she finds a note on the table that her mom page up an extra shift and make a pizza for dinner. Rose who is the most pregnant of the crew. She gets home and like it's a house where people are smoking and living room watching. Tv she lives with her. Grandma aren't bidded living room at the height and she lives with her grandma in her boyfriend. Also like the biggest furniture. Hit everything everything in that. All of the furniture is dependent on like sponge patting and yet it's like the big comfy couch needlessly sink So you know. She takes a drag of a cigarette in the grandmothers mountain. Don't let her do that. And she's like it's just a drag. Jesus christ so jesse and sarah are having little quiet moment looking out over the ocean. And he's like. Why are you being so quiet. And she's like chris's pregnant. Needs like your friends are skanks. Okay but you know when. I'm playing for the boston. Red sox minos is going to be so up in the air and you'll be even worse because baseball players wives are always a handful and she's like wives. Which like i get that okay right away i get it like when you're when you have your i love like think everything so serious and this girl is dying to make something happen for self. I i do feel like sarah's family is supportive in lovely but there's a lot of emotional repression in that house. Oh yeah big time. Definitely i think it's like i. It's it's i actually wish we had explored that a little bit more. 'cause it's like it's it's there but i think there's a lot more interesting stuff to have done with this movie if we wanted to dig into users. We're trying to do this whole thing. Like why do teen girls get pregnant like when they know they don't have the money or the resources to raise a child. I think that would have been a lot more interesting instead of blake. I mean i get it. It's called the pregnancy pact. But i i now. We're like the family dynamics of all what's going on this fucking house like on top of your the money issues. Like is dad drinking like what's going on here while i mean. Fortunately there probably as a lifetime movie without exact plot but like hires re. Sometimes i do wanna take certain characters and just explore that. Yeah and it's so frustrating. 'cause i know it's the exact last movie that's ever going to have a sequel. But we can you imagine this family like watching a movie together. God the you know this is the kind of family where like you watch movie in like the sex scene happens and it's like the we've all been there with a parent in there's like nudity or sexy Uncomfortable but this is like the one family everything just becomes very cold and rigid. Sarah probably looks down in shame. Yes she looks away like. She actually covers her own eyes. And yeah and i feel like eight years or if it's really intense intense sarah still Like look away. When she's watching movies with her parents yeah really sick. I think i would too though i do. I mean i don't wanna watch like a hardcore sex scene with my mom. I feel like i flinch or a lake. You not mean or like look at my phone. there's someone out there who liked turns it up. I your envious of those families. That can laugh of stuff like that about stuff. I mean on one hand. I think like it so I'm like ooh that's kind of like i dunno not my style like i don't like families that love dick jokes together not too much. It blamed that's fine. But you can't joke about dick's with your parents. I would hate that. Like i literally every time mom has gone to comedy show like i i have like i have to give a disclaimer like i almost want to like. You can't laugh at this joke. Like i don't wanna know you understand this show keeping you had two children. I feel like i just choose to like. Yeah no i totally. I actually like the things. I say like on podcasts. Like my mom hasn't heard it. Even though i know sometimes she has But like i just can't deal with it. But i need to like an icee. Some people swear in front of their parents which is crazy to me. That's crazy. I do try to I try to keep it down. But it's hard. Yeah for sure. No i mean she taught me so. Nurse brings the principal all this like newest article in the paper. It's an it's an opinion piece that was written by an op. Ed sorry that was written by more Sorry lorraine dougal. I wrote maureen in some of my in most of my notes. Because i was i. The accents are a little. I thought it was maureen So is okay. She's nancy travis. In my notes okay. Good okay good. I might do that too. I might revert to that. So she's like listen. I'm not qualified to be speaking on this. She doesn't feel like lorraine goal is qualified to be speaking on whether or not these kids are using condoms at school or getting condoms at school. Did you have condoms at school. Yeah right you know. I think we did. Yeah yeah so. The principal comes in. She was saying that to brady's so there's this younger guy brady who i thought was the principal. And then they had this guy who's the Who's like an older bald guy. And he's the actual principle and he's like listen. We're not going to handle condoms at the school. The kids keep getting pregnant That means they're trying to get pregnant. Basically birth control isn't gonna make a difference and it's up to their parents. It's not worth the debate. That's the attitude at the school is i. This is a parents issue. I'm kind of surprised by that. I mean it is conservative catholic. But like i am a little surprised that in in almost the.

"Spears this movie. It is so a lot of a lot of things happen in that scene. That like really. It's like whoa. Did we live in different time. The hillary clinton did the jayme lynn spears. Bit like a lot of changed but yet but that was like that was the news item of like the time like when that happened. Like i watch zoey wanna one molly as this was shocking to raise gas world psych of that era. Because i mean to me she was always britney's little sister just like in terms of sheaves so much younger than me. You know britney was older than me. So like i just It was shocking when she was pregnant but like i remember especially throughout her pregnancy in particular feeling like so bad that. Like you can't go through. I mean honestly teen pregnancies brutal is it because it's like taking one of leg the most difficult things you'll go through in your life that has like the silver lining of being very beautiful and rewarding in. Take all of the fun out of it and just make it double awful. And then i know i felt i felt so bad in. I thought about it while we were listening to that club. And i don't think just because She's helped imprison her sister. That i think she should have been bullied as a pregnant absolutely. Not but the interesting thing about it like that. She was the only link pregnant famous teen. I like i think i was aware of like our to me that lake which is so weird because obviously like teenagers can get pregnant of any status. But i think we had not seen that an obviously know. They're like pregnant teens in hollywood but they probably had abortions just never heard about but like it was one of those moments like oh like she just like pregnant and she's going to be pregnant. Let me let me look up. Because i think like i know that whenever someone is a teen parents lake. There's all they always point to like who similar like who who else did dot so let me see. They know well. Shirley temple was a teen. Mom really yacht nineteen okay. Roseanne had a baby at seventeen. It's interesting okay But i'm trying to think. I know that there must have been another so launch. Getting pregnant was pretty to raise the. That's you're right. But i think the difference is i think when salons got pregnant she still was very much just like beyond say's little sister rice's like jamie one at the time he was like she had her own lake She still has britney's little sister but she had like a career. I cannot think of anyone who was actively like a famous teenager who like surprises pregnant. And whenever when this happened it was very shocking. To go. I go through with it I'm trying to remember if there was like a pop star. Something in the eighties. But i can't. I mean yeah that's crazy so the nurse tells yet another student that she's pregnant and she seems so hurt when this girl just like skips out of her office and her friends are like on the other side And it is heartbreaking. You know like. I definitely like saw her arc like i understood why she did what she had to do later on because like that is like. That's a lot to sit at home with that every night. Knowing that eighteen students are pregnant. I know like what was her leg. Lifelike after work. Because you know she's going home alone probably getting blackout drunk. she's getting blackout drunk. For sure i would. I actually think she's probably poly or something who with all the way new rings. They always let her keep her earings in and they always tell an additional little story for her character. There was a rumor at my high school that our librarian was like a swinger. I fuck with that. Yeah mean as a sexy vibe will actually was a he. He was really annoying in. I think that was kind of what was funny to us because he was just not sexual at all. He's a hurry. Sweetener in it was like a little rumor that went around our school off that i hope he was in the hallway. This like newly pregnant girl. I think it's that tells your friends about how this is the best feeling in the world they were right. It's a rush and they're like are you going to tell the baby's father and she's like i don't know all of these young moms are basically all their own for all like for all of this already. You know like it's it's crazy that they are signing up to do this basically alone most of them yeah and lake i think definitely reflects the naivety of like that period of life just like not really real does not really realizing the implications of doing that on your own at that age for eighteen years you know. I think they're very much in the heads of having a baby and not like no. You're having a child that's gonna meet your life for very very long time. I mean here's the thing i know. Teenagers like obviously they come in with a half baked idea like i was one i was so sure of so many things that are just like absolutely insane and like the way your life moves back then something. That seemed like a good idea. Six hours ago is like just obviously like not the move. But like i feel like you're smart enough to know that certain things need to be in place and i'm wondering if they if it's like these girls actually in real life just got pregnant with no plan or if they all had some sort of plan unless there i mean what would be the thing that would make them go blind or they implying that they were like that jamie. Lynn spears inspired them to do this. I definitely feel like this movie was trying to like definitely. Were trying to tell the story of like the culture in how the culture is leading to this thing which i think is incorrect. Usually like i think that yeah are. There are there teen girls who might have been inspired by that. Of course there were. We know there's teen girls who like you know who watch t. Mom knows like. I'm going to get pregnant now. So i on their binding minority. I think that the reality is. I think teens do impulsive shit. Not even of like. I'm gonna have a baby just like i'm going to have unprotected sex. I'm pregnant now okay. I guess i'm just going to have this baby and it's like it's very like your existing in that moment. It's not even necessarily like an idea. Like i'm going to do all of these things and i plan to do it this way or that. It's literally just way your life appears like it's going to be you know like i think especially when there are a lot of them are coming from this conservative point of view. A gun mean later on oiler. When sarah she's pregnant lake by d. of an abortion is like just out of the question you know so i feel like a lot for a lot of them. It's like okay legume pregnant now and okay. Well baby i guess. I mean in real life not so much comes into question with that though because then it's like okay. Well if it's a the none of them would get an abortion anyway. Exactly what like i. It's try. I'm trying to make logic out of something that and i'm trying to also understand what this movies tell me. I think the movies definitely trying to imply that the this even though questionable this was a packed in this is like a larger societal issue. Like lifetime does lake rainbow party late. Watch your kids. Because they're probably evan pregnancy backs..

"At one point in my life. But we don't talk about that so she's has a boyfriend jesse and she says she wants to hang out just the two of them and he's like why don't want to get in trouble again so she and her boyfriend Drive into town in his truck They put the docs and she says hydra dodd whose name i never wrote my notes. I just call him. My dad and i feel a homos. Most dads should be. You know what. I mean Like they unless they are huge part of the movie. I feel like i always just go with dad. Yeah yeah they exchanged unpleasant words. You can tell that like the dad has a decent relationship with boyfriend and he tells her before she goes inside. Your mom's cutting a path in there so keep blow and i like that felt like very they. There's a lot of things that are subtle boston to me. Like how proper she is lorraine throughout a lot of the movie like her sort of that feels very massachusetts catholic to me Okay i don't know so I singer mom says that she's late. She runs this lake place. That looks like a diner. But then i guess it's also like a full-fledged restaurant i think she owns and operates that it's unbelievable to me that these pupils struggle with money if if this is the oceanside properties. She has her runner restaurant out of gloucester. 'cause there's like an interesting like there's a very interesting class dynamic. That happened right. 'cause like jesse's jesse's obviously from a wealthier family. The friends that sarah has obviously like you know of lower as the as i was very unclear with sarah because it was like okay. We hear them talk about money issues. Like you said they have a waterfront restaurant like this. That seems to be busy all the time. Yeah it's pop in. I i don't i don't really understand either. I mean listen. There's definitely classes within any beach town. You know like there's always gonna be the sort of townie types that are like the kids of townie is whose parents were townies as well And then there's like you know sort of like the the families it's sort of like are lower middle class but stay above the fray and there's always like super fucking wealthy people that keep the town running and i think that's what jesse's supposed to be although they they sort of make mention of the fact that like jesse's dad became asshole when he was a lawyer and some wonder if they that was all from growing up together or if like he became a lawyer last year is he wehrley. Fifty five okay. There's nothing wrong. He's everyone has to choose their path and some people's path is a little bit later than others. But yeah. I got the impression. I guess they probably. I mean this is obviously a town where everyone like you. You live there forever. They probably up probably have lower middle class and then he became a lawyer now. He's like a big shot. yeah he's like. Maybe kim kardashian saw this movie in god inspired me to. Yeah i nor so we cut to a burch who is she goes by sydney in this movie. That's what she goes by she goes. We know who you are. A reporter routine up dot net. What are we thinking about this depiction of the internet. It's very funny. It's very It's very of the time they're like. It's the internet was not like this but it definitely reflects. I think what adults thought the internet was which was like 'cause she's not a vlogger. This is like okay. Susan eight where people logging on youtube yet. Oh for sure for sure there were but also like at this time but this no i think like what she's doing here is like a mixture of videography and also just like she writes articles. Or something i guess. But she's sort of like the editor at large and so she's like kind of the face and that's why she's like out there with of logging cam getting interviews and footage live like i think she's putting these clips up to help paint a story And that was something i mean. That was of the time. That's definitely in the world. I was in like how things would run lake especially like gawker early. People will just run out with the cameron like ask you know some editor on the street a question. You know ray you know. I think something about the way she exists in the internet feels like Kind of like. She's not tyra banks but i feel like it feels like the tire show in that weird way like entire would wear like a fat suit and like go out into the wild and be like yali you know. Expose on being fat in america. I'm ba- fat for a day and cry about it and then look. I solved it the issue. It felt very like that. And i don't know if teenage me if this was a real website would've taken seriously at all because it's like oh come on. What are you doing girl no. I don't think a teenager like any teenager. Who would watch us and take this literally ever like i mean i hate to be mean but like for the most part i don't i still don't think it's like cool to be looking up. Resources teenager terrible. That's that i just said that. Mike what are you doing like god. Get a life. You fucking nerd. No that's not true theaters. You should look resource. It's like you just need take talk. Just take everything on take tug at face value. It's all right yeah. Move forward with that like you'll get some pretty good information there. But like no. I definitely was not like going to someplace for like supplemental learning about how to be afraid of teen pregnancy when i was a teenager So then i 'cause i was so afraid of something like that happening to me. That's always the thing. I can't relate to some of these movies. were just like first of all. Can you imagine like you went all your girlfriends getting together and deciding to get pregnant. Like how insane. I wonder literally not you've met lauren of never happened. You knew imagine no break then. Also on top of that lake like just generally like i feel like the whole goal of your underage life is to get into college and like knock get pregnant or like od on heroin or whatever the hell lake the insane things you think of when you're a kid of lake that's the worst thing that could have happened to me. Although coding on heroin is pretty bad. That is one pretty wild But anyway back to the diner We see sara's mom in a customer are talking about the news. Three fourteen to four fifty five one a woman running for president just picked up a big state in the primary yes. The other is a sixteen year old girl pregnant shopping for now. I know what life i'd want. But who is your role model. That's the question of the day at tina dot net. I'm sidney bloom talking about the issues that you should be talking about. Post a comment. And i'll be back at you tomorrow. Come take a look at this..

"Is okay je knows. There's news definitely on the practice and not was like her big show But she won an emmy for it and she's like this one's for the fat girls at the end of her winning her emmy. I think she was like i. Don't think she would have been on touched by an angel. Like she has like twelve piercings in one of her ears. And i'm pretty sure she's like allies via and like i don't think she would have fucked with touch range all but she gives me very strong lake. I don't know she is. She's constant concern face. So i feel like the guess. She's in touch angel course. She was like braids. No she played like the really like sarcastic. Sort of county Brilliant lawyer on the practice which was a great david. Kelly show that actress. Who i love her. I forget her. Name marla sokolof. I think her name is like the bitchy friend on full house. She was a home played a bitchy. She played bitchy her entire young adult career. She was great on that. Show too lawyer she. I don't know there was a last minute. Heard of her. It was lake a viral tweet. It was like you know whenever merlo sokolow like showed up in shows gonna get like wild like in the nineties. The bad friend that's mostly bathroom. Yes she is always like. She always had that like look to her. Which is such an interesting thing to be born with ray. Because you'll like you'll always work for a certain you know in a certain way for a pretty long time but being typecast lake. That is crazy. She just doesn't like very specific. Looked are you. i don't think you could have. I think it's it's the chin. She's a very like defiant chin. Okay you know and it is not like shade of virginia's big but is that kind of like a like juts out a little bit in a way. That just feels like. Oh she's like god attitude you know yeah. I always remember thinking. When i was a kid that she was like one of the most beautiful girls that i like seen on tv was so interesting looking like very olive in had like greenish is and she like she smoked. And i thought that was very cool. Dad did not work for me. I was like i like this. I mean that's something. One thing i want to talk about this. This came out. You know this happened in two thousand eight. That's obviously a big movie for lifetime. They got all of these people together. This seems like this was Let me see. I think this might have been a full blown lifetime original movie. They shot it in new orleans. Not very obvious not massachusetts. I did kind of actually pass for. Yeah for sure because like it. Like ashore town. Yeah i thought because like these are sort of like swamp lake religious past for marsh Like the doc had that feel as well. I don't know it felt the parts. They showed in than it did. Seem a little bit like a sleepy shore town just in the way that like the real estate was represented. Right do you think at any point. Production like toyed with the idea of having the actors like dude accent or they just like. We're not even did to accent. Some of them did. And then there was like the The admin lady who had a full on southern accent. Where'd you come from babe. Yeah i mean. I assume she just moved to town please ago but yeah definitely. I feel road but like honesty. She could be that type that she's so the school office lady is so interesting like they are so set in their ways the the same lunch for like fifteen years you know. So they're like. I feel like she could have moved to massachusetts when she was five and she would still have that accent. She seems like she would never unlearn i. Can you know. God forbid so. Yeah what was like your sex education stuff in school. I weep first of all i wanted to say. Do you think the show inspired or this event inspired teen mom sixteen recognizing i think it absolutely did. I think i think all of these things happen lake okay. So i'm a little bit of a statistics. Nerd and i love to debunk shit. So whatever anyone's like this does things on the rise. I'm like okay. I need like doolittle pew research center. Like we're going to look into this. 'cause i everyone just gets a little bit too so this happened and i'm going to tie it back to like my sex ed because i went to a pretty progressive school district. I grew up in montgomery county maryland. Right outside of dc so we got like a pretty comprehensive sex education. It wasn't absence. Only it was like you know the full the full monty but i distinctly remember this time. They're being this like general feeling of like okay. Like teen girls getting pregnant at an alarming rape and i didn't really bad Assume like okay short. Around this time i remember seeing like i said earlier tons of nick news stories about not just gloucester but just like other stories of teen girls. Getting pregnant talk shows teen mom came out jamie. Lynn spears got pregnant. It was like a lot of stuff that just happened. That was like okay in girls getting pregnant. Then i dug into it and it's like teen. Pregnancy rates have been on a very consistent decline since like the eighties and like every few years is like a random spike but it still lower than the previous years so this weird like false fear like moral panic that happens and i think we're due for another one like soon like based off of the trends. I'm sorry i'm like getting ready mean same thing because like are in Like you know on one hand we're in a pandemic on the other hand. I feel like you know equals. Baby is also like recessions always equals babies. I feel but it. I kind of feel like i'm always seeing jansy. Be so vocal about birth control or like least handling their. You know what i mean like. I'm seeing beyond the feed every exactly. I think that they are definitely going to be fine. But i think because this weird lake statistical anomaly happens like is like every like fifteen years or so. There's a little spike. It happened around the same time in two thousand eight were due for one years i- Hands down. I bet you in a couple years. We're going to suddenly start seeing stories about like teen pregnancy on the rise. But it's like you're spike but it's not actually on the rise at all. Yeah other things. So i wonder if hamas wrongfully taking credit for clearing up so much of the teen pregnancy stuff in our country on easily..

"There are new developments tonight. New details a shocking story about sex and status and possibly statutory rape reportedly gave as many as one hundred fifty pregnancy terrif- gloucester massachusetts says. There's no have not been able to confirm the existence of a path would girls so young wanted to have a baby in the first place and should the school system the media or society shoulder any of the responsibility for what happened. Hello everyone welcome back to. Mother may asleep with podcast. Molly makhalira guest. Today is a member of the salt. Listen network one of our amazing host. Say neak smith of everybody wants something. Hi how are ya. Hey molly this movie came to us because you know i watched the first movie that we picked deadly influence our and it was one of those movies that maybe it'll hit different if i were to watch another time but it was giving me very much this movie party mom that we watched on here and in it was like the whole episode. I felt like i was apologizing to suggest my audience. The actors like i was so bummed out because it was like the worst movie i've ever watched and i was when i was doing my nose for the episode. I was like wow. This is just remarkably bad But i like. I didn't th- i kind of want against my instincts and did it anyway. I was like we cannot do deadly influencers so then used throughout the pregnancy pact and this is a banger. do this is like an alzheimer. This is one from the very beginning. People have been asking me to do it. It is a massachusetts movie based on a true story although we get these title cards throughout the entire movie like every commercial break. It says the same thing. This film is the story of a fictional pregnancy pact set against actual news reports from june. Two thousand eight in the love. Some of the locations in public figures are real any resemblance to actual persons is purely coincidental. i mean that is not like i mean. Is it possible with teen girls like that. I mean how do they. I i even if even if they put the like the way that. It's so heavily advertiser out that this is a depiction makes me feel like there was a legal reason for that for sure for sure like Lifetime did not want the heat at all because I did a little bit of deep diving in this. Because i remember when the story came out 'cause i was in high school when like the pregnancy pack happened around his time. A lot of like a talk shows were talking about teen pregnancy. Lot the show. Doing a few episode oprah like it was a big deal but i was digging into it. 'cause i realized i didn't actually know that much about the back story. And it's still like disputed whether or not there even was like a pact. Which for me. In my opinion. I feel like it's very At a no you have to have a lot of faith teenage girls to think that we could coordinate that well like pregnancies a case of teens being horny at around the same time. Yeah i mean. I could see like baby fever and i could see the appeal of like maybe you know. I think that is a thing. A lot of sure definitely like to get pregnant pretty much right outside a high school in like trap. The guy. I know that sounds awful but it's just true it happens it happens in this movie. Yeah and it's also like i think very much may be not part of massachusetts. Maybe that is true. It is like a beach town on the north shore. Gloucester is a gorgeous town Okay it's really considered to be a beautiful town in also Like pick blueberries areas to go there and pay blueberries with my grandpa sometimes. That's like amazing. Yeah yeah. I like love picking fruit. Do i've never done. I've never picked fruit But very much as a tourist. And i feel guilty about that because i know i. I say that i would love to pick fruit for a job but i just wouldn't. Yeah i doubt it. But like it's it's pleasant to to like fantasize that like i play the sims a lot and a recent expansion of the sims four has a really nice like cottage core aesthetic and my sims are picking through all day and right living vicariously through the I'm afraid of bugs. So i'm like you know i can't pick fruit but my can. Yeah i don't need to woke five fruit. Picking for myself like i can just enjoy it apple picking. I don't need to like go down. People pick fruit. Okay molly. it's not a big deal. I was a total. Hr h collection. Like i do want you know that crazy. Check her age collection. Sometimes i do like. I see myself in her a little bit. Especially when i yell at myself like that like who were you talking to molly Okay can i this. So all of these movies around teens Big go like her of two ways right. The teens are either clearly older or they get actually like age realistic teens and have them play super small and naive right yen. Sarah the lead in this is barroux. Doll do you think she feels too old or too young now. I think she feels too young. And you're like is this character so naive so like with her being so young looking and also this naive. I'm like this is that shit is dark. Regrettably dark yet like that. If that was my kid. I would take her to the clinic without a second thought lake. She this of all late show. This girl is really live on like slow time. Like i was really surprised by how life really didn't hit sarah at any point during this. This was an all-star movie too. They have nancy travis than this. My favorite from three men and a baby greatest movie of all time. Wasn't she also the mom in the binge drinking movie. either party never stops we have clear birch. yes who thawra birch. I was She didn't like she didn't meet to anyone but she would like basically did an article saying she left. Hollywood because like men are disgusting right. I think so. And if i'm not mistaken. I think there were issues with her father as well lake Weird stage parent who. I don't know the details. But i distinctly remember reading years ago. That lake one of the reasons. Why a lot of her roles kind of dried up was because like her dad. And just like weird dealings in hollywood so right right and then we have camera mannheim as well yes such by angel touch touch was she untouched financial. I thought she was on the. I know her from the practice is she not touched by a angel. Lady are you thinking of roma downey. Irishwoman is that not. Is this not touched by an angel no honey. She's on what brian enjoy. Maybe she was. But i don't think so i don't know like color.

"Fucking Armani exchange garbage. The thread count ten kingpin. Drops that bomb that Spencer Spencer. Smythe is not dead but Spencer. Spicer's not lost what you might as well look at the cameras. Pretty good twist but you did see that coming. He's very proud of himself. Super Weird this whole bit. I don't I don't think any of it hangs together together when you think about it. 'cause kingpin says that he found Spencer Smythe in the ruins after the explosion and then but he literally means himself else they should they animate ing been walking around in this exploding on fire lab for some reason. Why would he ever go himself? Why would he ever ever do that? Also how long was smyth sitting outside of those ruins just crying then. Qingping comes in. They're just like I've got something for you to suck on wheels marriage out a week ways I don't know probably probably not And then also mentions that he thinks that Spencer's my's would be unwilling to work for him. It just slides unwilling to work for you. Why specifically quickly and then why did you freeze him at all? What affects did that? What benefit did that have to you? I guess it kept him away from his son. Could've killed him. They showed him killing his dad. Yeah and he has this freezing technology. Why wouldn't you use that to make billions of dollars? There's tons of you probably WANNA freeze themselves and wake up in the year three thousand. It's Walt Disney Philip. J Fry the Encino man from the movie CDO Man Oh man from the movie Bio Dome they inhale in May animate at least four of these tubes. Yeah so does he do this often I guess he does. I wonder who else. Maybe his father is down there too. And maybe Vanessa's there till time where she can get being a CO bitch show. It's not gonna be any less frigid frigid. Hey so linen goes and tries to revive Norman Osborne and he just has this weird boiling vile his pocket. It which I guess is smelling salt. But it's but it's like yellow and buoying no well I'm pretty sure. The principal component of smelling salts like ammonia. And you know where else you can get ammonia urine urine mutated year. That's what that's what I'm getting at. That's his body. That's what is getting fucking to. It's also weird. That they gave smyth. The full run of this building is just never checked the basement like he. It only takes two button to pull up. A picture of his dad. Graduate stays is down there like. I'm pretty sure by had control. The computers doesn't hang together. Great Kingpin told them that the homework file was his porno and that he is not allowed to click on it or something. Spice you have access to everything but this folder you can't open open the label. There's something he really doesn't like like. I Dunno haircuts. Osborne's making some good points here just like wait. No Oh this is all your fault and your fat and with the help and inspire matrix like in the corner just like Nodding okay okay. Yeah he's like don't you keep talking keep talking actually like this. He's very spider. Ask in the sea. And he's just crawling around in the ceiling. Yeah but he's not very stealthy because spider-man's noticed by the guards and then Smith is immediately reanimated to fight him. They give smyth this new chair and together. That's too much for spicy. But our hero uses his brains to get out of his foes crushing grip he reveals the kingpin has been deceiving. SMYTH which causes might've crashes chair and started the building on fire before turning on I landon and then the kingpin though. He keeps his fucking cool. He's just like whispers to the other guy check out the authorized saving and instead of just being like oh my fuck spiderman shoot them. I'm going on my break. BEAT UP BY SPIDER head. Kick me in the back. That's going to cause problems for the rest of alike spider straight kicked back. That's going to separate a couple of fucking vertebrae. Yeah for sure. It's also weird that Osborne Yells Spiderman quite angrily angrily considering all Spiderman has done for him and his son. Yeah just set it out of like. Oh Shit it's spiderman not like but that's not as tone like what I mean. He's just like Spiderman. You Really Mad. Because he's being caught red-handed doing bad stuff so he's like accent. Oh yeah he doesn't WANNA normally associate with criminals. I suppose spider-man's Minnesota's But he knows better came then goes and tells land into revive live Smith.

"Nightmarish rush android. That they know that it is because they even add that like echo to the voices of the bad guys here and it's just really well done. Metal is the way of the costs for Nash. Mutated only the key to the future. Yeah it was pretty good. It makes you. You have Empathy for Smyth in this situation. Even though this entire time we've kind of been making fun of everything it makes you feel bad for him as carries like well shit. Like what else could he have done. He was trying to get out of this shitty situation and he'd still did hold Spiderman accountable for his father because he didn't know any better yes. Kingpin does have a point here spice sucks. I know I was like pretty empathetic earlier but come on. Yeah I mean he does have a pretty long history of failure. I it's like there's no they don't even mention the human robot like again. It was so pathetic it broke up. Kingpins pins marriage. If it's that bad. Yeah you would've factored into all of this. It's like Oh yeah my wife left me you Dick and my son's now in jail. How do you think they would tell land? Put a shoe on. Yeah why the Hell is the only wearing one shoe. He's got that weird talent foot with the claws on the floor. Put a CD on them. Thing it's disgusting shoot like your legs be different lengths as well. If you're one shoe thought that you will look do he. He just constantly hear him. Walk like Click Clicks does he. You know what I mean like the step of the shoe and the scrape of the talent. That'd be enough to drive you new bananas on all these metal floors. Yeah Yeah and you know that king things. It's gross because when they get in the elevator together he's specifically stands on the side with the normal liberal side of a space probe move right there. Yeah he's like I don't WanNa look at your other side but good on them for not making him him like a to face kind of character where the mutiny. "How am I supposed to know what that busy bodies talking about? And why should I care. That's right Spiderman. I agree with you super smyth returns to base for treatment. He balks at first but his programming forces him to obey and keeps him from attacking his his captors. We then get an explanation for what happened. Kingpin Fed up with spice failure to kill spider man and bungling of the treason. Affair Hires Herbert Landon as his new lieutenant his first order business do grotesquely mutates might using his secret formula. So as anyone else wondering why smyth is self fucking shredded. So you think it's a byproduct of the mutation that he's that fucking jacked when he fights spiderman but then when they show how he was transformed you see him on a Gurney with a very conveniently placed called peace. And he's still almost as jacked. Then what the fuck is he doing now. They even showed his legs being jacked. Yeah weirdly huge size that I am not jealous of I. Don't there's no atrophy there is no none of that. FDR atrophy maybe he's got that like electrical stimulation pads the they got him in the hover chair and it just shocks legs into the being beefy. Oh and his ads and his shoulders and his and his arms. That's why kingpin can't wait to Rascic them ahead try diet. I can't wait. Go ahead try it. And then he doesn't like this workout kingpins rips off his fucking triple breasted suit two and he's got the Leotard underneath he's ready to workout has begun. Maybe that's why he wanted him mutated because he always wanted a workout partner. None of these goons are up to the task. AIDS that level of Pete he's Peop- smyth without assured on. He knew he was packing packing. He just needed a little bit more to get them over the hump legs. I like the kingpins punishment to smythe is for him to watch on on. TV His greatest failures he has them. Queued up. Was Landon splicing that earlier backstage. Like all right. I I want you to reveal this big montage. Yeah his his real first order visit. Make Me Smythe blooper reel man land. Intel's tells me that it's time for another treatment like that's what happens in this show and Smith.
