And in all reality, it's your team is good enough, it would have never got to that point. And I'm not talking about the eagles in particular. I'm just talking about teams that do place blame on a guy. I love what the eagles did. I love everything about how they responded to that flag. You know, and I still think with all of what happened, the eagles had an amazing year. So many guys on that roster proved to be superstars in this league. It's just unfortunate the game ended on what looked like a flag. I'm I'm gonna try and talk about how the 2020 Alabama club we do against Reggie Bush and Matt Line erred on those great USC teams. Like a waste time on that, however. However, I've got no problem saying this. This is something we can't say with certainty. This is not some made for TV contrived bullcrap to get reaction. I'll say this next seven, is the greatest coach in college football history. Seven national titles, six in his 14 years in Alabama. This was supposed to be the era of parity in college football. The proliferation of college football on television was supposed to level the playing field and mean them or programs had more shots at being the lead. And yet the dictator his absolutely obliterated the idea and smashed it into 1000 pieces. In fact, he doesn't just have six titles in 14 years. Obama He's got six in the last 12 years. So it's a coin flip every year Heads. Alabama wins the title tales. They come this close to winning a title. So I kind of dominance does not happen. At least it's not supposed to happen. Not in college football, not with teenagers playing and not what guys going to the league every single year. And yet, this guy this joyless wonder is doing a year in and year out and pretending like he's absolutely miserable while he's doing it. So I'm not gonna waste any time debating whether or not we just saw the greatest team in college football history, I can say this Not only see the greatest coach ever I'm going to say that that's his best team ever. I'll say that If your next saving And that's your best team ever. Then you've got a pretty good argument. Then maybe you are the greatest college football team ever. And that definitely is his best team ever. It is. I'm not even sure it's close. He's got six rings in Alabama wondered, ls you and it says here, this Alabama team beats every one of the other six national champions. He's coached. Even Nick himself would tell you that well, you know to me, this team accomplished more almost than any team, No disrespect any other teams that we had or any championship teams. But this team won 11 SEC games. No other team has done that. They won the SEC and went undefeated in the S 60. On then maybe two great teams in the playoffs with the break in between. I mean, normally you ask him a question like that, And that's a reason ago. But instead he couldn't wait to tell you that. Make sure the defense is not the best defense he's had. But that offense is saving close and the crazy thing about this team is they did all of this during a pandemic. I mean, that's crazy, but even crazier than that is they weren't supposed to be this good. Remember last year Joe Burrow and Alice, you destroyed college football. They set the court standard for offensive football. And yet months later, Alabama was nearly a replica of them. Instead of having one Heisman candidate. The tide had three inside the top five. They had three And they did it with a quarterback who was not supposed to be the guy and a wide receiver who was not supposed to be the guy either. Again. Nobody was thinking the Mack Jones was going to lead the most electric offense in Alabama history. When he showed up in Tuscaloosa. Everybody thought the tide offense was going to stagnate, too. When Jalen Waddle was injured, But thanks to Devante Smith, they actually got better. Smith was so good last night. He's gonna get his own take today, but sufficient to say that is one of the freakiest scariest dudes I have ever seen. Ever seen on the field, and if everything went to plan this year, he would have been the number two wide receiver in that offense. And then he had this one really good blitz packet by the browns defensive drop myles garrett into and then that safety to sit there like all right. Don't leave the ball mason. Rudolph shoots turner for this defense. Need mental switched sides on the field because it went to the fourth quarter and then it went to jarvis landry and the browns were up twenty four to nine not love this play. Call you kind of get. Landry sideline to sideline and you handed off for the touchdown. And then finally you get the ball out of pittsburgh's defense something that chase claypool done. So well look at his ability. Go up kind of contest for that. Catch over jumped. The fence and back touchdown pitchford. That made it twenty four sixteen and then under two minutes to go in the game and this is juju smith schuster and all of a sudden. It's twenty four twenty two dan. But when you watch the steelers play the second half against tennessee titans even watching them to send the backup quarterback gets the denver broncos or be dominated upfront defensively the way they were against the baltimore ravens but still be undefeated. I think that's the fascinating part is not just that they've managed to win. Every game is just inside of those games. you seen opportunities for them to lose. But they've made the place that they've to. I mean you can even look at a match up against the dallas cowboys and say you know gary gilbert and the dallas cowboys may have deserve to win that game. But that's what this lied about was going to come down to one possession games. He's gonna come our critical situation though football moments and at least it does far. The steelers have found answers to any questions in those important moments. And this is why you sit undefeated. So how does this defense stack up. Ryan versus the steeler defense. Is that you played for that. You helped lead. What are the holes in this defense. You know what. I don't think they necessarily have holes in the sense of of those things being a negative right. And so if you can do all those things on the outside like they can. You can score points. Also look at this team at critical moments though. Think about tennessee. Titans having to get a drive late in the game even though been was a reception late like they were able to the ball greg band. There's gonna prevail on the road. The pittsburgh steelers had the hold on dearly man. Hold on they do for the baltimore. Ravens they score in the second half and they were able to do that then back pop. And I guess that depends on how you categorize that type of company wage. The plenty of e Sports organizations are owned by athletes Verizon echo-fox are two big ones plenty of soccer players, including David Beckham kind of also have organizations and so do a couple of other football players wage. That's not even including all the athletes who invest in orgs most major organizations have at least a couple athlete backers some like energy have a whole roster of All-Stars regardless. This is an organization Page look out for right now. The plan is for the org is to recruit athletes musicians and other celebrities, then they plan to open a gaming house and twenty Twenty-One and that will certainly be a hub for some really interesting content for now. They've been Fielding any teams in major e sports, but they do want to put together a group of players to compete in gaming tournaments. I'm imagining they're aiming it like war zone and fortnite Pro-Am or something similar to that Juju is also keep a relationship with basically an intact according to an E Sports Observer article. Patriots may soon have to deal with their first Antonio Brown issue and it has to do with his number
"We have to talk about the biggest storyline in the NFL Antonio Brown as it looks like the saga for Antonio in some ways is finally ending and in other ways. It's just beginning for number eighty four as Antonio uh-huh Brown signs a one year proved deal with the New England patriots and it's hilarious because there is so much speculation when all his shenanigans with the Oakland Raiders for going on that really it was just a grand master plan for Bill Bella check to somehow land the all world talent wide receiver in sure enough he gets released from the raiders and later that day signs deal with the New England patriots another huge weapon in the offense four. Tom Brady and this has shades of what Randy Moss did did when he was with the Oakland Raiders. Moss spent some time in Oakland during his games he played for the raiders. You could just see that the big hall of fame wide receivers hardest wasn't in it. He wasn't really producing for the raiders he was now running routes with this full heart. You can just tell that he wasn't the Randy Moss when he was sooner in Oakland and then he goes to the Patriots under Bill Belichick and has a career year a record setting year with Tom. I WANNA be in Oakland. It's been nice that they haven't had to deal with the media coverage and hard knocks and that was really a lot more centered around Antonio Brown but he's also had a terrible example as an a way to conduct yourself as professional with what he's done with the raiders clearly didn't want to be there show the the reaction video when he finally gets released from the raiders and all of that finally goes down and I think the raiders are better off for it you if you're going to establish a new culture in Oakland. You can't have this going on in your locker room on your sideline. You need to get Antonio Brown out of out of there if he wants out all the better let him go you cut your losses just saved a lot of money by voting that twenty nine million that you would yet. Ben Roethlisberger is 'clearly a part of the problem'
"Next. Next team president art Rooney. The second said Wednesday that talks have started between the Steelers and Ben Rothlisberger on a contract extension. Big Ben who turns thirty seven in March has one year remaining on his current deal. And let's keep in mind. There's been a lot of drama and Pittsburgh fellas and Tonio Brown apparently wants out lay beyond bells that out the entire season. Not to mention that Big Ben has been going back and forth on retirement these past couple of seasons. Tedy Bruschi still here with us joining us from the Pro Bowl and Orlando I teddy. There you are. We got you got you and all your friends in the background is big and more of a problem or a solution because this franchise feels like a mess right now. Because both he's he's definitely a part of the problem because they no other men in which he's handled things. I mean, again, you know, you you've got numerous players. You've got numerous NFL aficionados that have religiously called out Big Ben for saying things in throwing people under the bubble in the fashion of the quarterbacks. Don't this is not me talking. This is basically reporting what they've said as max is done as many others. If you watch Big Ben you talking about juju Smith Schuster. We should have thrown the ball of him every time you say something like that. You've got to know you've been around Antonio Brown long enough to know, how those kind of things would affect him along with various other things in other positions that he has taken that. We don't have time to get into in the end when it comes down to is that has made him a part of the problem because Big Ben is live by different set of rules. He's a bit flagrant with it. And I don't give a. AM who you are anytime you receive preferential treatment that you are you are playing by different set of rules as everybody else you are going to rub people the wrong way, especially when you consider the individual who abuses, the privilege. That's the bottom line. Having said all of that. When you look at Big, Ben he's also a part of the solution because nobody's perfect everybody makes mistakes. And if you're willing to man up in knowledge that you could have done better in certain respects. I think that would go a long way, I think the thing that the Tonio Browns of the world and others that are incredibly frustrating is not that big been mixed the mistakes, they made is that he doesn't necessarily he isn't necessarily deemed as an individual that learns from apologized showed the pope level of contrition and move forward without making sure not to repeat those mistakes again throughout the years. You've seen a pattern of behavior that has been consistent with him in that he has gotten away with it. If you listened to those NFL players Antonio Brown is one of those NFL player. Here's somebody that has said that. And as a result, you a big band you want to alleviate this situation you speak up. You recognize us where you're at fault. And I think if he did that that would go along way. So he's both a problem and a problem solver in all of this because he's right in the middle of everything as the stock quarterback of the team who obviously has is outspoken, Saddam. Well, we agree and disagree because I think he is part of the problem the solution. But for very different reasons part of the problem because Ben Rothlisberger is like a rich man's Eli manning. Drew Brees at forty then rothlisburger at thirty seven that that they realize, oh, wait a minute as beat up as he's been as much as he talked about retirement. He's still maybe has some years of football left in him. We don't have as backup. So he wields probably too much influence and he seems to at times publicly throw players under teammates under the bus. He's a problem because he's too good to get that next quarterback with the draft pick. He's your solution to the extent that you're good because he's a really good quarterback. And if you ain't got that, you ain't got anything. I'm with both you here because Big Ben has been a problem, and he can be a part of the solution. But this is what's happening here as you're talking about max. The quarterbacks in this league getting older and older and still being able to play past forty. What's happening is a generational gap. A generational gap between the quarterback and all of the younger skilled players and all of the younger players on defense that are ended up being a part of this team and the ability to relate. So they're almost these kids are coming in plan. I mean rothlisburger will have players coming in make sure that have had his poster on the wall or something like that that group as fans, and so how does that quarterback that aging quarterback you mentioned breeze Brady and rothlisburger? How was he able to relate to them and make them feel like still an equal? And as one of his teammates, this is where Ben Rothlisberger has failed has he failed. Also and other aspects where Stephen as talking about what he's calling out teammates where he's got no business when he should have when he's the one making bad plays. Also. Yes, I agree with that. But he needs to learn to start to relate to these younger generation of players because he will continue to get older, and that gap is. Real and you'll see players life Brees. How do they still have these close bonds with these young players that come into their teams and their teammates talking about them like they're best? How does that happen? There's something. You talked about him relating to the other players, and I don't disagree with that teddy. The problem is it eight the younger players complaining about him and Tonio Brown is thirty years old. He's been big big Big Ben Rothlisberger his teammate for almost the past decade. And so this is I'm not saying that, you know, the he's thirty seven thirty thirty seven like Big Ben is, but he ain't twenty eight twenty one like did you Smith Schuster? The man is thirty the last six seasons. He's had a minimum of one hundred one receptors a minimum of twelve hundred and eighty seven. Yard. He's produced. Poor Big Ben he's been a primary target for Big, Ben. And yet that's where the problem seems to lie at this particular moment in time. So how do you explain that? It's a feeling that I've had with the quarterback that I played with and a lot of the saints and a lot of these older players on these teams that are mentioning they have the overwhelming thought in their mind that my quarterbacks got my back. But it was ruled an incompletion Jon Gruden challenge. The ruling, but it was upheld. He had some guys reviewing it in New York. The raiders head coach said when asked about what happened how the hell would. I know. I can't even see the guy we have some guys ruling the game in making these decisions that you can't even have a conversation with I am not going to get fined or anything like that. But personally, I don't like the process of it. We have guys that riphil. She aiding the game we have eight officials guys in the box. I would appreciate if we had a face to face conversation. They didn't gruden's challenge was overruled as was a previous challenge. Also in the third quarter when Gruden thought that Pittsburgh receiver juju Smith Schuster stepped out of bounds. I saw the official throw his hat Gruden said that is the mechanics of a man stepping out of bounds. So we challenge. It. I'm not very good at the challenge process. I'm going to try to stay in a good mood tonight, regardless the process left Gruden with just one time out and no more challenges which could have come back to bite him. It didn't. Stephen A.: 'I'm embarrassed by what I'm seeing from the Pittsburgh Steelers
"Me let me to just a little bit allow me to express to you the alarming level of frustration that I on questionably feel at this particular moment in time. I cannot put into words how disgusted I am. That the Pittsburgh Steelers ended up losing this game. I can't even put it into words. Ben Rothlisberger four hundred sixty two yards passing wasted. James connor. He's no Le vian bell. Juju Smith Schuster, thirteen receptions, one hundred and eighty nine yards wasted. For two reasons above all else. Big Ben Rothlisberger leading the league in red zone interceptions. Do another one yesterday was Shelby Harrison defensive lineman getting blocked in the coverage. And ultimately Ben Rothlisberger throwing the ball right to. Now. We can make the argument that it's the freakish interception that Ben Rothlisberger may have ever thrown as he so eloquent it in the aftermath of their twenty four to seventeen loss to the Denver Broncos yesterday. Denver Broncos team. That's now beating the charges in the Steelers in back to back weeks, by the way, we could go that route. All we can state the obvious. If you watched it throw, ladies and gentlemen, it was an interception. No matter what. Whether it was Shelby, all whether it was Roe. I'm sorry. Shelby. Harris. Oh, whether it was Roby who had. Antonio Brown completely covered. I don't know what the hell big. Ben Rothlisberger was thinking throwing that pass made absolutely positively no sense. No doubt about that. Yet despite case keenum only one hundred ninety seven yards. Despite the fact that Denver didn't have the most formidable run a game to speak of. It was turnovers from Connor. It was a drop touchdown pass from Washington. I mean, I'm just looking around right now at the Pittsburgh Steelers. And I can't even express. The level of my frustration. Because you see regardless of how. But thank Pittsburgh secondary looked earlier in the season. They had got things together. They were looking a little bit better. But now, I'm of the monster. They lost that game yesterday. And I said, dammit, they just lost a trip to the AFC championship game. Now. Now, I'm not saying that laser gentlemen, mama's saying that it's a very simple explanation. And you know, what that explanation is? It's the fact that the Pittsburgh Steelers now dropped to what is it a fourth seed. Or at least a three seed in the AFC that means Kansas City and New England both ahead of you. That means to get to the AFC championship game. You're going to have to be one of the other one a row, and I don't think they're going to do that. Now had the Steelers and all likelihood possibly fighting for birth to the AFC championship game at Arrowhead stadium against the kids City Chiefs. You know, what if you had home games prior to that one could stand the believe who knows what kind of upset could transpire maybe I'll get lucky. Now, it's no way in hell.

"Steeler nation does out. And so was the over in play last night. We'll watch the beginning of this game. We had three touchdowns in twenty four seconds three touchdowns in a span of twenty four seconds. The panthers. I touched down to the game. Followed up by juju. Smith Schuster seventy five yard touchdown one. Dr one play for the Pittsburgh Steelers. Followed up by Cam Newton pick six to put the Steelers up fourteen seven. The Steelers also scored two touchdowns as ban of twenty four seconds later in the game seven touchdowns by seven different players for the Pittsburgh Steelers. And it was that kind of night. It was the start of the game that was really emblematic of both teams. And you thought we would get the strength of both teams to begin with the Panthers opened up their opening drive spread out. Lots of Christian McCaffrey breaking off big runs. The Steelers defense looked noticeably frustrated as they're getting some of these read option looks, but they can't seem to defend in Carolina goes down scores with relative ease. And we thought all right. We're gonna have a ball game. The Steelers on the other side come back instant offense. Exactly who this team is that seventy five yard touchdown pass to juju. Smith Schuster long touchdown passes to end Tonio Brown later in that game. These are all things that are expected in this Pittsburgh offense

"Why? If you're the newer jets, aren't you trying to come to some agreement in some kind of middle ground with Sam Donald on this because that means every other contract that comes to be, you have to come to every other every other contract, but Sam Donald doesn't play every other position he plays the quarterback which is premium change in any way. Now you're seeing more guarantees. And one of the few teams though that have this language in their contract, and this is this happened, Jill votes with the with the chargers chargers as an organization in the NFL our they regard. They're actually picked to win the AFC how the organization regarded around the national football. Everybody says that the charges are one of the worst organizations and football in terms of how they deal with contracts, how they relate to their players. So I don't think the charges are the model for what you wanna do. If you're the New York Jets, this all aside week one who's the starting quarterback for the jets, I would like it to be teddy Bridgewater just because the jets have three games in ten days. They've got a Monday night game Sunday night game in Thursday night on the road in Cleveland. I would like it to be teddy Bridgewater just because I think that's a lot for a rookie quarterback to digest. But I think that we'll see Sam Donald sooner rather than later. I think the last time we saw first round draft pick not play at the quarterback position is what he sees and was Aaron Rodgers back in two thousand five. You don't think Josh mccown. Listen, I love Josh mccown, but I think we saw the best of Josh mccown was last year being five and eleven journeyman quarterback for we all agree on that. So I think I would air on the side of going with a team that's more veteran ball club. They've got a veteran, quarterback, fetch skill position players. They're not going to be relying on this to be a number one or number two option for that matter because they got juju Smith Schuster. So I look at the Steelers situation, say what that probably fits Dez a little bit more than the Cleveland Browns. And plus we know that Ben Rothlisberger. Has been known to pay backyard football a little bit. Being able to add live run the scramble drill pretty much better than anybody in the NFL. I think Dez Bryant would fit that style more so than the Cleveland Browns and what Hugh Jackson wants to do with that offense. I get where you're going and where you come in from. But I think that das- wants to have a great year wherever he goes. He only wants a one year deal, so he wants to put up some type of numbers.
