"Throw. And I think that's why it lets people uneasy. Because it's like, all right, man, we could have just watched this going to overtime or at least that offense really earned it with a touchdown. With all that said, Bradbury came out said it was a holy thought he can get away with it. Other eagles players basically said it's not his fault. We shouldn't have put him in that position. You're never going to look at one play. And that's me all day long. So one, if this ever gets to Brad, after he's listening, bro, you're good. Do you explain it one time? You said it was a whole let it go, man. You had a good year. Don't worry about it. Because whether it's me as a wide receiver, dropping a fourth quarter pass that could have won the game or if somebody else making a mistake. I would walk into that locker room not pointing the finger at that one person. I absolutely am disgusted by teammates that can walk into the locker room and barking about one guy or go to the media and say, that guy ruined the game or blew the game for us. That just, I don't know, it makes my skin crawl, except like that's the weakest way to reflect what is the totality of the game. And in all reality, it's your team is good enough, it would have never got to that point. And I'm not talking about the eagles in particular. I'm just talking about teams that do place blame on a guy. I love what the eagles did. I love everything about how they responded to that flag. You know, and I still think with all of what happened, the eagles had an amazing year. So many guys on that roster proved to be superstars in this league. It's just unfortunate the game ended on what looked like a flag. And it's interesting, Nate, burleson, that you rope the NBA in here now because the Bradbury hold of juju Smith Schuster turned or centered was the center of NFL Twitter turning into NBA Twitter yesterday when juju Smith Schuster on Valentine's Day put out a meme of like it was a Valentine's Day card. I'll hold you and it matters most and a photo of James Bradbury up there seeing happy Valentine's Day, everybody. I saw that. I'm like, wow. And I liked juju. I think he's exuberant and I like his energy, but this is a line crossed. Don't you think? Right there? Yep, 100%. I like being honest with you, rich. Yes. And that's why I can appreciate your platform. Thank you. And I also like, I like showing the duality of how people can sing. So just like you, I like juju, I actually love them. I say, I think that type of energy on the field is necessary. And you need a guy like that. That can have fun and moments where maybe the four player you forget, we're playing a kid today. And maybe we do play, we play better when we're playing loose. So you need it for that. And on top of that, when he's healthy and on top of his game, he's a big we saw what he did in his younger days as a steeler. On the flip side of that, here's where the duality kicks in, I think that move was very lame. So, and if I saw you driving like, bro, that was lame. Why did you do that? Because, you know, you know Bradbury feels bad. Now, whether there's some beef between the two, some trash talk or they have some stuff going on in the past and you were just trying to take a dig at them. Maybe that's understandable. But if you don't know him from a can of paint, he's just another competitor. There's this, they're unwritten rules. Amongst his brotherhood, even though we're competitors, we're in the same fraternity. I'm not going to pour more dirt on you as you're laying on the ground suffering. He feels absolutely terrible for that hold. Don't go out there and retweet or repost a meme like that. And you know, I like AJ brown's response. He's like, he's like, yo, congratulations first. Let me get this out the way. And this is what I mean, this is what I mean by the duality and the respect within this fraternity and brotherhood. Hey David, I was like, yo, congratulations out the way. So nobody can say that I'm mad about the loss. And then he went on to say your TikToker and you got your career revived, but I'm a home. This that in the third and then you never liked that, don't act like you were. And then he ends with but congratulations again. That right there sums up a real mans emotion that just lost the game. And the guy that's pure heart. He's like, yo, real talk. Congratulations. I want a Super Bowl. That's dope. What you just did was super duper lane. So let's just, let's just, you know, let's leave that for everybody else. That's for that's what the guys in the basement that troll, not the ones that put the jerseys on and line up on Sunday. Plus, I mean, the whole country is talking about this hold, right? And many people think they call the penalty call was lame, or should not have been called. I had the same approach as you Nate, which is like, yeah, did he tug his Jersey? Yes. It's a hold. Bradbury even admitted to hold, but do you call it in that situation? The conversation, not like you, and part of the reason why he held his juju did make a nice move on him. You're a good move on, but read the room. Read the room before you hit send on that one. And let's just oh my gosh. What it is, rich like there's been cars throughout you just career where you didn't necessarily read the remote or read the locker room. So, you know, it was an immature model. And I just hope anybody from it. And he's like, you know what, maybe that was a bit much. He should have just like, you know what made it what made people kind of like an easy about it? It was like, well, you should be celebrating. You should be above all of this right now. Like, you're on cloud 9. You should even know what's happening happening on the ground level right now. We shouldn't even see you, bro your feet should be leaving the earth for the next week or so. Come back to earth with us and get on Twitter and be like, oh, that was funny. Do that a week later, but not like within hours. Winning the biggest game of your life. Too soon, you might not, it might be too soon, like forever more for a lot of people.

"Because we've all kind of wondered, okay, what's Patrick Mahomes going to be when the day comes that Travis Kelce is retired and Tyree kills are tired. And he's thrown into Michael Harmon and Byron Pringle. I guess Byron Pringles out there anymore. Juju Smith Schuster is in there now. Not even Byron Pringle. I know I was going to say he wishes he is Byron Pringle. But this is pretty well, by the way. This is not an ad, just how good are Pringles. I just want to throw that out there. You don't like Pringles? Oh my God. Well, let me because this is going to sound like I'm just like this is first take and I just had you on to disagree with you about everything and that's really not the case. If anybody came with Rohan took Mitch golditch in our editor Mitch golden tonight on a taco crawl through Los Angeles and it was honestly one of the top 5 most delightful days of the last 5 years. And it was just wonderful. And that was the first time I actually met you in person. That's right. That's right. Did not disappoint. It was like the whole experience was phenomenal. But I don't like Pringles. But anyway, let's just say it's okay. I might have to pop open a can later today. I was going to say, I also don't like Pringles, but I'll do it like Connor. I like Connor wear that one. So let's talk about the cheese. Tyreek hill is gone. He was there, he was obviously their biggest speed element. They still have Michael harbin. They still have some guys who can run. But hill was the guy, both downfield, out of structure stuff. And also, look, Connor, you have championed this cause. It is my favorite take of the off season. It's not a take. It's smart football analysis that the check down. The shorter catch and run opportunities, that's what is going to define offense in 2022..

What the hell? They're not Begging. They come home from school or whether they hit hard time. They have to come home. Aloha means they hold up, not calling. What happened? I I did not do anything. I did not take a two by four to may. I embrace the herpes thing. I was ready to live with it for the rest of my life. You should give him the lifetime award. If that happened, Miles gas can team announced. The five captains and tour was not one of them, and I didn't have any reaction to it. I think he's a leader. Nfl player current nfl player. I know obviously the back injury had surgery on it. Yeah i guess start there are you. Are you still looking plane or you kind of saying you know what i'm good. I don't want to do my career. Where does that stand for you. It's still a current player in the last ages of recovery. Here and you know hoping to get over this final hump. It's taking a little longer than he would have liked her. We would have liked but Once i'm one hundred percent fully ready to go. I think i can make that decision and figure out what's next for me but honestly i mean i don't know if you've ever had back pain or people that do not too and not too comfortable day to day so until i can get back to feeling the way i felt for the last nine years and and playing the kind of ball. I can't play You know it's kind of a mood point. So i guess i just kinda look into finish up this last phase recovery and then from there figure it out but i haven't you know close. Any doors haven't officially done anything. And i really just waiting for that health to kind of fully. Get back to where it was bigger win for. Patrick mahomes the super bowl buying a baseball team. Buying a soccer team or bringing. What a burger. The kansas city allow. I'd say my guess is his stake in the two teams isn't a extensive. So i'm gonna put those to the side between whataburger on the super bowl. The super bowl probably unlocked what burger saudi superbowl was joe that engine phenomena. We all necessary bullets that you know the thing that you know honestly all of us on a team minnesota remembered for you know you hear the stories from team for fifty years ago and they're still living there and it's just a review aired in the in the city loves. Anything goes pretty special to be part of that first one. Obviously we're hoping for a lot more you know it was my cheap way segue into the super bowl because that game. I remember covering from the press box when home stroz second pick in the fourth quarter as twenty ten things have knock on particularly well the niners course if a great defense you guys are gone up against and just walk me through from a player's perspective from from when he throws pick until damian williams.

"I think i am guilty of hearing a lot of people talk positive about the browns and doubting myself so i need to stay with me and to believe in me and i need to stick with the fact that even though i just pick the browns to Win a division. That's all i'm willing to do. Cleveland I love your fans. I love your franchise. I love everything about the browns. Honestly i do. It's a it's just the fact that you have. The color of your helmet is is brown. That's what you do. You're you're the browns. You've got jim brown. I love you. But i don't i don't i. I can't get there with orange. But we digress. Yeah close enough all right. I mean you know that that that works for me. It's not it's it's it's it's in the neighborhood. Nfc seven playoff teams go okay divisions washing. I've the bay this river. I'm going on the record. Washington green bay tampa bay. I'm taking seattle on the west. I you any which way they're taking the best quarterback okay. I'm taking the continuity. I'll take wilson the rams and the forty nine ers or my top two wild card teams and then holy hell a dart between minnesota dallas new orleans maybe even carolina in arizona. You any of those things. I will take minnesota and terrified of doing it. Because i can see six hundred eleven with all the craft. They've had this off season. But i'll take them all right here. We go yup. I'm doing it right here right now. Dallas let's go dak your back. Stay healthy. I'm going to take the cowboys in the east l. Take the packers in the north. The bucks in the south. And i'm going i'm buying it. Let's go come on matthew stafford. Gimme the rams. Gimme aaron donald. I will go for the high end belief. That stafford was screwed by detroit and finally on a good roster with underrated receivers and take the rams. Now my wildcards going off the board. Here.

"Two super bowl tickets to los angeles. What'd you do for dinner that night. Actually that night. I just have cereal. I'm gonna say oh guy. Catelli turnaround myself. That's a try to get back in the facility. But yeah i think cereals it's a it's a good plan b. You were out a while back. they're talking about. Hey everybody's gotta make their choices. But you know. I'm i'm getting the vaccine. Wh- what's it been like in the locker room so far this year with the guys making different choices. i mean it's the suicides of it. Obviously if you're not actually you have to get tested every day and you can on. This assessed There's a part where you know you get tested every two weeks if you're vaccinated Lager the weight room is different or you can lift canal if i of times Being able to eat together not being together. is very different. It's very interesting how they're treated for myself. Obviously i'm just doing what's best for my team. I don't want to be a distraction and be reason why you have close contact with guys. Because i'm not accented. Does it frustrate. You guys aren't all in unison. I guess i mean everyone is own opinion at then day. And that's dumb. And that's something i can't say either own person their own opinion. But i'm gonna just do what's best for myself entertained. Yeah so people are mad at you dude. You're that you're doing the milk crate challenge. They want they want you healthy. They're worried that you're going to fall off milk crate and not be able to play football. Which like the sky is an nfl football player. You're worried about him on. A milk crate can't do that then. You can't have them play on sundays. What did you see all that all the nerves. They want you healthy. I guess it's a compliment at the end of the day. Yeah ozzy's are fans who care obviously the show on. They're showing lots. I respect that. But i'm healthy. I'll be out there sunday. I think you know taking the head from across field without without looking harder than the milky challenge level of one to ten. How was the milk crate. Challenge in your mind to be honest for the people. Probably say it's a saw a assad line okay but for an nfl guy like yourself more like a two. Three four has very low necessary. Simple breezy okay. Back just just making sure. That was making noise. Biggest key to this further steelers. Twenty twenty one. What do you got for us. Ally says gonna come down to you. Know you know all vases but our offense. We have a brand new line switchboard talking about. So i can see lie but We have a lot of same guys who are coming. "He shouldn't be calling the plays and when he was in kansas city he really didn't call the plays a minor stretch where he did but he really lets eric be enemies. Defers guy that andy. Reid has really been like here. You have a big say in the offense weekend weekend. i. I don't know that nagy other than maybe a week here week. They're really had that and by the way that year the she started five zero and barely made the playoffs and lost a marcus mariota at home and off game so it wasn't as all like their offense is incredible that season it started out wonderfully and then tanked brutally entire rest the year off air all fair. Let's move on Juju is coming up here in five minutes but let's talk about. mvp's right. Everybody's picking patrick mahomes. I'm assuming you're doing the same thing i am. Look you have to pick a quarterback. If you don't pick a quarterback you're just trying to be interesting. You're trying to be right. I think you you have to go that direction. So mojo's mahal's makes sense in this way. Rogers is great. Won the mvp lash. I don't think he's you begin right. It's just too hard to win back to back-back and it is a narrative award to some degree. I almost want josh. How but again. I think alan statistically regresses on little bit bakers interesting like a baker could be a guy or stafford. If they're great people are going to wanna go crazy over that but yeah it behind that offensive line home. Seems like the play here. Does you throw for like forty eight touchdowns and fifty three hundred yard. Engine the out of his mind. But yeah i'd have to be out of it. Gimme your quarterback. Mvp pursue probably is not going to happen but why not. Let's go right. I mean if you're going on. I would go way off the board gives you like a defensive player. We haven't had a defensive. "Playing and he's not holding in and all of that sort of stuff. You know incredible. Show i love joe haden. I love the back end of the defense of him. Their nausea. i mean. There's there's many ways that you can massage this to say the steelers are gonna win the division. But i still think it's the browns. I am not going to sit here and say it's the browns bringing the browns are always going to be the browns. That's over how does that sound right. Say the i. I declare that over. It's just anybody. The browns are just going to be. The browns is a new another way for people to say. I don't believe in baker mayfield. That's it. that's the way. I'm putting it whether you think he's was never worthy of the first overall pick or you think he's too brash. Or he's wearing his hat a certain way or all that stupid stance and all that crap too many commercial or the way i look at it was previously too many turnovers too many And he had the wrong guy who drafted him and he had the wrong guy who then took over for that guy then he got the right guy and we saw what happened last year. And he's got the right defense and he's got the running game and he's got the right protection scheme it's all right. They've got it right and the draft is supposedly deep. And we'll see how the rookie scale cleveland. I think it's your time in the division eight four four zero four rich number. Dial we'll take your calls when we come back. We have a bit of a conundrum. How do i close out an nfl network studio. It's coming up rich another thing about the browns defense. They added cloudy us right there. They added cloudy garrett on one side. Cloudy on the side. I mean come on big divisions wide open man. You know what. I'm saying about like if it's the patriots if this was like if yeah no you're right if you put a logo on the side of their helmet me any logo right other than just an empty orange helmet with a brown right now. I feel you. They're good team man team but a lot of people can't get over that fact like brown's gonna brown a lot of people like their picks man their corner from northwestern greg newsom Allusive karam carmo of notre dame. Lot of people. Love that kid. They think he's going to be great like rookie of the year type material and what it. What if it has then. They're they're the best team in their division. All baby gives me an idea. I'm gonna write it down seriously. I'm mike my brain. Isn't sony different ways right now i. I'm literally right. You and i are walks. I think they're going to win the division. I just don't think the other teams are just going to be you know kind of average. When do i do week. "Two zero four rich is the number two dollar. Let's take some phone calls of patrick in brooklyn. New york's been hanging on for awhile. What's up patrick. What's going on not much. just dollar jets. They're like yourself. Okay all right how you feel you fired up not good no not at all. I liked that wilson. I liked that on. What's going on what's Let's turn that frown upside down. Patrick what's going on. I i saw elation for for what twenty. Romo's said and. I feel that could like but he did the same thing for sam. Darnold right and joe. Douglas may no attempt to to improve it. Team around san donald. Well because i think like glimpse and let me let me stop you right there. 'cause i i think this will help Sam darnold was drafted by the administration before. Joe douglas okay and when joe. Douglas arrived his coach. Adam gates was the one who had just drafted was allowed to draft. Who's allowed to be in the draft room and be part of the previous administration. Who drafted before. This guy arrived so the last two years. Technically joe douglas's years and as we all know that was Midway through sam darnold. And i think as you know As much as i love the pres- jamal adams Sending him to seattle for a couple of first rounders and let him go there where they're ready to win with him right now and pay somebody at that position From the back end in and utilize them in a way is better for seattle than it would have worked for the jets in rebuilding what they have done with that. Left side of that offensive. Line for zach wilson. I think this is a different and it's different coach. So don't throw joe douglas out with you. Know the previous admit. The you know the mccallion brad way. Adam gays draft or drew bathwater. Just don't do it don't do it and let's let's band together. Let's go let's go. I mean even seven even in seven and ten. Let's go patrick no you you you think. That's a possibility seven and ten What did i say them. I do think so. I think this kid pop the schedule house com to schedule. Got it right here. He's looking at the schedule. I don't i don't understand how seven wins could be accumulated like is a short. I'm gonna say sure but things like well can is a good time. Hey what you have to play defense to nine. And they've got a coach. That i think is is putting something down and i. I think there's some winnable games for the jets on the schedule. You've got a game but we don't know who who's going to be good or bad just yet. We really don't know that yet. And that includes your that includes your new york jets but we know houston is going to be bad. I don't know so that's one patrick. Thanks for the call. Let's come on now but call back. Let's let's keep on banding together in playoff so on and we're not talking. We're not although last year. "A similar It's a great analogy. That's mind jones here on the rich eisen show Alabama looked like You know alabama and then the question is is is this over. Is this thing over already. Are we done. Are we done now after this one. I don't know who. Or how like who's going to sneak the win this year. Because if you're going to beat alabama you typically go sneak a win and the one guy that can figure out how to sneak. Wall was on but he's not there anymore at auburn. And i just can't. I never thought that circumstance would come up. With what nick sabin. Would bill first and foremost it out. Obama was the do wide receiver. You and they just roll off. They all look the same. They're all built the same. They're all about six feet tall just about devante. Smith was a little smaller for this. But they're all about one ninety one ninety five they're all wrong just tanks and they're all always open and they rather rolled off two or three of them last year they could roll two or three more back yet. It's just gonna go like this every single year like they just. There is no drop off at any point with them. What did you see what. Nick sabin said about Mercer coming up this week. I did not. This is a different type of offense that trouble with that though. They play one of those years where they had like all time. Great defense i think it was twenty twelve. They play georgia southern at the end of the year. And when espn would've put up the statistics about how incredible alabama's defense was. They always had to limit it to fips competition. 'cause georgia southern gable the blues with that triple option. They're going to win but it is going to be. They're going to have some moments out there with matt. What are we supposed to do with. This is a different kind of offensive team is the exact quote from nick. Saban as mercer's the one to take him on after they just pounded miami. And i don't mean to be that way. Obviously we're going to be excited about a college football season and everybody always is and it's great fun to watch But i don't i don't know man. I maybe georgia. I mean what you just did to clemson. And they don't play each other till the sec championship game. What we're assuming is gonna already go down you know and then they though like herbie going to have to figure out that playing sabin one point was not going to be saving two point. Oh and they're not gonna have an offense that consistently scoring thirty forty points a game. I don't think they got enough. Offense beat alabama bomani jones. Here on the richeisenshow. What's the story line for you. The nfl season twenty twenty. One two days man. He me on that. That i really. I'm curious number one. I don't see how the patriots gonna look with mag jones. Because he's one of these guys that i felt like it's really hard to forecast because nothing. He did in college special not that he was not good but the things they jump off screen for you about a great college player. Not his game. It's like if it's going to work it's just gonna be the is remarkably efficient and it's hard to tell how well somebody's gonna do there in that way but if she is halfway decent i mean this is still bill belzec right like this is still the patriots. They went and reloaded a bit. Got some guys. Like i want to see how they wind up. Look the other story. Is for me sticking with quarterbacks in that division over the josh allen skeptic and i guess to degree i remain a little bit of josh allen skeptic but if he plays even close to as well as he played last year the rector that squad is loaded there right up there with the chiefs in the afc if he can maintain the level of play that we saw last year. Well we'd five in the same way that we're talking about. Hey it's all about. Who wins george alabama from you know for for a game that we are assuming will happen in december. We know week five. It's bills and chiefs and that'll be some sort of a back pocket tiebreaker for one of these teams even in his seventeen game season moving forward and Last year there was a whole cova hoo-ha based on Of the titans getting cova and it messed with the bills schedule and the bills chiefs were were reconfigured game that it didn't really feel like that was the one where the chiefs ran it down the bills throat. I think they they ran the same running play like ninety times and just jammed right down. Buffalo's throat i. I would prefer to say there could be a different result this year. But that's basically what a lot of people think the. Afc shoot match could before yet to me about buffalo is. If you get some heat josh albuquerque panicked like that's the part that i questioned whether he can't fixes paddock or to panic forever but if he reached the point where win there is heat and he could just stand there and make it happen is trouble for everybody well emmanuel sanders could be. That is well to be added to that mix. What do you think bomani jones of the browns chances in two thousand twenty one here. I mean we all got the same problem. And if they're the browns like it's not the browns all of our answers feel completely different because they feel like we've been hoodwinked just by the idea of the browns before it's like we mean the fact that you're not getting me the fall for that again i don't care how many pro bowl fifty followed for this. I've seen this before too many times But i am of the belief. Getting odell beckham. Back helps a lot and we'll make a good offense even better offense. They're really doesn't need to go. The ball very much and really should be relying on the road. And i think that's what they're going to keep doing in that kubiak types game That they run up there that plus the defense they seem to have like they should be right up right up there and i really feel like if they were any other jerseys waited. We've talked about you. Don't feel right. I mean look. You're you're you're spot on every single thing that you just said right there but it's baker mayfield World that we're living in for cleveland. And and if he shows up better this year than his improved version last year they could be very difficult to stop an odell. That was the part of the conversation last year. That just didn't compute that teams better off with odell. He was doing his own thing. Sometimes running routes that weren't really there and baker. try to force it in there in the minute he was gone. Things kind of opened up I i'm not going to buy that. I won't buy that because he's such a difference maker that odell winning comeback player of the year to lead the browns. I don't know if that's pie in the sky stuff. But i doubt it'd be something else i'll be something else bomani..

"But you want to be respectful to him and sort of let him come to the realization or let him have his day where he gets to announce it, but You know when somebody said, Well, Ben's our quarterback for the time being or at the moment that doesn't have a ringing endorsement there that Ben will be back with Pittsburgh. Agreed. And then you know what I think if you're the Pittsburgh Steelers You know there are many things that they do, but they don't often stay one or two years too long with someone I think maybe in the very early nineties, they might have learned their lesson with Chuck Noll. That was a team that stayed a year too, too long and no wonder. The guy won four Super Bowls for him. He should get to call his shot. But I don't know how the Steelers with the losses they're going to have probably losing, But Dupri probably losing Juju Smith Schuster. Uh, you know, I don't know. And I don't know what they're going to be able to add free agency. They were sort of you hate to say they were a tenuous 11 and oh, but didn't have that feeling that they were a tenuous 11 and oh, and I'm not saying they got what they deserved down the stretch. It's a little cruel, but I mean, you know they they looked really bad all except for that comeback against the Colts, and I think they've got to rethink The immediate and long term future. Their organization, Pete, Thank you, as always. We appreciate your time. Okay, Dan all the best deal. That's Peter King. He's not an insider or an outsider. Maybe he's like me. He's a tweener. We'll take a break. We're gonna play the JJ Watt came. Where do we think he'll end up? Now there's Pauli have an advantage because Polly will correspond with JJ Watt occasionally. Holy did have contact with JJ want.

"Out by amazing players here now Alabama sucking down play. Matt looks wide open left side, not G out of the backfield makes the grab of the 10 pitch inside the defense. He'll fire forward. He's got a touchdown. They lost him out of the backfield 26 yards. And there was that Smith touchdown that ended the game ended the game in the first half. Max straight drop math looks long not find the bomb behind the defense. He is in for a touchdown. Thank you, Mr Heisman. Thank you, Mr O'Brien and United's Award winner. What a combination 44 Yards Touchdown, Alabama. Lear Field. I am G radio. Others that could go on. But really, I can't because I can't play all the Alabama touchdowns in this segment. I would just run out of time. And again, this was against a good or how state team Last night's not a reflection on Ohio State. Just like that semifinal was not a reflection on Notre Dame, just like the S E C championship game was not a reflection on Florida or any of the games this season. They weren't about anything other than Alabama. It didn't matter who was on the field. They were to quote Juju Smith Schuster, nameless gray faces compared Alabama. And, of course, the game like that was going to inspire the ultimate barg. You meant. Is this the best team in college football history and normally, that's like the dumbest argument in college football history. Because normally when people ask that question, the answer is no Matt Jones. Now Mack Jones has his own opinion. Mack Jones thinks that this is in fact, the best team ever. I think we're the best scene never play. I mean, there's no team now ever play as you see schedule like that again. You know, fair enough, sorta kinda like we can debate just how good the SEC was this year, But you cannot debate the fact that this team went undefeated in a pandemic and almost none of the games were close. So is this the greatest college football team ever? I've got no idea And neither do you. And neither does anybody else. I mean, could this Alabama teen beat the Tommie Frazier Nebraska teams who knows? I'm not going to get to some sort of breakdown of how Nick's saving would skim it up against new rock Me. I'm I'm gonna try and talk about how the 2020 Alabama club we do against Reggie Bush and Matt Line erred on those great USC teams. Like a waste time on that, however. However, I've got no problem saying this. This is something we can't say with certainty. This is not some made for TV contrived bullcrap to get reaction. I'll say this next seven, is the greatest coach in college football history. Seven national titles, six in his 14 years in Alabama. This was supposed to be the era of parity in college football. The proliferation of college football on television was supposed to level the playing field and mean them or programs had more shots at being the lead. And yet the dictator his absolutely obliterated the idea and smashed it into 1000 pieces. In fact, he doesn't just have six titles in 14 years. Obama He's got six in the last 12 years. So it's a coin flip every year Heads. Alabama wins the title tales. They come this close to winning a title. So I kind of dominance does not happen. At least it's not supposed to happen. Not in college football, not with teenagers playing and not what guys going to the league every single year. And yet, this guy this joyless wonder is doing a year in and year out and pretending like he's absolutely miserable while he's doing it. So I'm not gonna waste any time debating whether or not we just saw the greatest team in college football history, I can say this Not only see the greatest coach ever I'm going to say that that's his best team ever. I'll say that If your next saving And that's your best team ever. Then you've got a pretty good argument. Then maybe you are the greatest college football team ever. And that definitely is his best team ever. It is. I'm not even sure it's close. He's got six rings in Alabama wondered, ls you and it says here, this Alabama team beats every one of the other six national champions. He's coached. Even Nick himself would tell you that well, you know to me, this team accomplished more almost than any team, No disrespect any other teams that we had or any championship teams. But this team won 11 SEC games. No other team has done that. They won the SEC and went undefeated in the S 60. On then maybe two great teams in the playoffs with the break in between. I mean, normally you ask him a question like that, And that's a reason ago. But instead he couldn't wait to tell you that. Make sure the defense is not the best defense he's had. But that offense is saving close and the crazy thing about this team is they did all of this during a pandemic. I mean, that's crazy, but even crazier than that is they weren't supposed to be this good. Remember last year Joe Burrow and Alice, you destroyed college football. They set the court standard for offensive football. And yet months later, Alabama was nearly a replica of them. Instead of having one Heisman candidate. The tide had three inside the top five. They had three And they did it with a quarterback who was not supposed to be the guy and a wide receiver who was not supposed to be the guy either. Again. Nobody was thinking the Mack Jones was going to lead the most electric offense in Alabama history. When he showed up in Tuscaloosa. Everybody thought the tide offense was going to stagnate, too. When Jalen Waddle was injured, But thanks to Devante Smith, they actually got better. Smith was so good last night. He's gonna get his own take today, but sufficient to say that is one of the freakiest scariest dudes I have ever seen. Ever seen on the field, and if everything went to plan this year, he would have been the number two wide receiver in that offense. So Alabama winning a national title is the most predictable thing ever. Remember. It is a coin flip every year now for more than a decade. Except Alabama. Winning this national title the way they did in a pandemic was one of the most unpredictable things ever. The dynasty was supposed to be over and yet it's still here. And stronger than ever, and a big hat tip to the dictator. No one's better. And no one's more miserable The on Lee thing that would have made that game interesting. Is it? Nick Saban's daughter opened a new Twitter account and live tweeted some of her crazy talk during that game. That's the on Lee thing that would've made that interesting. Tip your hat. It did it again and never looked better. 1 806 368686. All right, So I've got thoughts on that Devante gets his own take. He was that good. He was that dominant. So he gets his own take. I will have that for you later on If you want to talk about the weekend, up coming in the NFL. And I want to talk about the Steelers, man. You think that if you got select You think that if you got embarrassed in prime time, you'd stop bumping your gums it stop running your mouth, Not the Steelers, not the Steelers. They're not taking that loss. Well, and you know, it pisses them off even more. That was the Browns that did them like that, because they're still talking. Doug Peterson fired Scott won a Super Bowl for Philly. They never won one before. He won a Super Bowl for the Eagles on Lee three years ago and is already out on the streets. Man That's not easy to do. One more thought about Tuscaloosa and Alabama..

"If I'm Pittsburgh, and I'm gonna have that young defense again. They had all those injuries. And by the way, Juju Smith shoes to have been. I've been critical of, but he played well yesterday. And they targeting 19 times yesterday. But you know, he has to decide. Do you want to be a star? Not not a social influencer but a star because you can be because Antonio Brown and by the way, Antonio Brown is a big difference maker for Tampa. No had touched down yesterday. Chris Godwin, Hang on some footballs, man. Oh, man. Ah, but, yeah, I think if Juju Smith Schuster if there's you know, satisfied with James Connor, but that defense is really good. But I don't know about Ben is you move forward. It feels like that's a transitional period right now. For him. Yes, make love. They really can't run the ball anymore. That's weird, they broadcaster said, Like this is not the Steelers. We know they throw the ball 60 times a game, you know. And I said at the time when they were undefeated, or maybe had one loss. I said, You can't throw the ball 50 times if you're the Steelers and win games, and they prove that, Yeah, I think I'd be really frustrated if I were a Seahawks band because the first half of the season you look like you're going to the Super Bowl. Your offensive since topple they couldn't pass yesterday, which has never been the problem. They did run the ball little bit. The defense was average. I mean, they had Jared Goff with one thumb, and they couldn't win, and they got manhandled. Even when Aaron Donald's out of the game, the rancher kicking him around Jalen Ramsey. Worth the trade? Yeah, You know, Ram stole that, but good for them. Yeah, I'm Seattle. I wonder his Seattle recovered from the Malcolm Butler interception in the Super Bowl. I mean, I really wonder if you're just like, Hey, this is still haunting this franchise for some some reason. And I thought that their defense was going to be better, Uh, but give credit to the Rams because they made Russell Wilson look uncomfortable. That doesn't happen very often, but they hit him. 10 times. You saw Russell Wilson play in a way that I haven't seen him play very often in his career, and you know, the Rams went at him. You know when Jamal Adam's Knox Woolford out Only goes. I wonder if they'll blame Jamal Adams for losing this game, and I went why he goes because now golf comes in. What if golf leaves them to victory now granted, Jared Goff didn't play great, but Jamal Adams and docks Wolford out and then go off comes in. And sort of manage the game. Um, acres was great. But it was that defense. I never thought Seattle was threatening in that game. Yeah, pulling. I think you said this about a month ago or three weeks about Aaron Donald of the Rams. If you don't give him defensive player of the year, you're picking someone else just to pick someone else. Yes, that's how good he is. It really is. It is kind of silly to not give it to him. You have to just say, Well, he got his. So it's a new person. Let's take a break phone calls or welcome best and worst of the weekend. We'll get to those. We gotta play the day Stat of the day as well. Chris Simms will join us. There's um There's a whole lot of talk about do Shawn wants in. Texans can't get in touch with him. They're nice kids on the one that was just challenged by the Andre Johnson. I actually thought he was gonna go to the left. He had a single eye safety press coverage against Claypool Way was Robert Jackson over there. Karen. That's a matchup between the Steelers you have to like. Claypool was not really been involved very much tonight, Kevin. You know they're working receiver, you know, started so fast at a big game last week against his Brown's defense, but so far tonight been pretty quiet. Ben, who's gonna black under each eyeing? Looking through that black face mask. First intent from his own 45 drops back in the gun throws a wine five spiral down the middle coffin Stride 35 yard line running to the 32 the near sidelines. Mitch Schuster tumbles down hit by red wine 26 yard catch and run put him in the Cleveland 29. Counted. Brown's again that too high safety looks off zone. Smith Schuster is going to run a just across the field and just slow it down right in the middle of that zone with those puts eighties and Ben finds him. 29 in Cleveland, Ruppersberger in the gun first intent blocked by the left ankle time for bed line right down the middle, leaping to intentions from touchdown to clean pools. Princeton, either. I'm 29 yards strike by Rafa's Burger splitting two fingers in straight that two handed helmet I catch made by the rookie Claypool 11 a week to play in the fourth. It's 42 29. Cleveland's lead cut again. Yeah, he's working against Robert Jackson again. The cut Similar The look. I was talking about a second ago. Yet single high safety Carl Joseph. He's in the middle of a field. He's late to react. It's a skinny post. You have Robert Jackson on outside leverage in a bail technique, and clay pulled his beats him, and it's a perfect flow. Right on target By Ben They're going for two with 11 away to go 1 76 yards and fourth place trying for two rockets. Burger shotguns goes to the end zone patted down in complete. And the Taiwan at the Golden Gang on the far sideline, beautiful defensive plane. Then they come up short again, and they trailed 42 to 29 with a lot of time left 11 await to play in the fourth. Yeah, it's Ms Schuster. He's the slot and he's gonna run the out with Deante Johnson, one of the slant and M. J. Stewart lunges in front, one that a beautiful plants a great plane. You know what's good about that, Kevin watching it a lot of corners. What happens there? They take that off hand behind and they hooked. The receiver and a lot of times you see pass interference there, and J. Stewart good plays an outstanding job. Body control get in front of Smith's user knocking that down his left hand and his right arm doesn't engage Mr Schuester. No question of past interference. Just an outstanding defensive play by the backup nickel because Kevin Johnson out on the Copa robbers. Burger Tonight three touchdowns, three interceptions 409 yards. He's thrown the ball 56 times. He's now put on the big black stealer cape to keep warm on that sideline, and as he talks, you can see his breath. But he's very animated. The ensuing kickoff for the Steelers Ah, hi chip shot taken by Johnson at the six and the numbers that Chanda 20 goes to the 30 angles to the sideline with 35 for the Cleveland Browns returns and 28 yards..

"Halftime report with Scott Graham Scott will recap today's first game Ravens and tightens and Preview tonight's final wild card game between the Steelers and the Browns with Pittsburgh receiver Juju Smith Schuster that's coming up at the half James Loft. It is directly to my left behind us. Safe and socially distance areas are producer Tim Parker and our engineer Bob White. My name is Kevin Hoogland. It's pleasure to have you with us from New Orleans today, two minutes remaining in the first half of seventh, really, for the same sort of third and four James at the Bears, 44 yard line and a critical opportunity Because this will be your last scoring opportunity. I would believe in this half. If you're the New Orleans Saints, you did miss a 50 yard field goal earlier. What a chance to put some points on the board where it looks like points on not being given away. They're telling you to take the breakfast Saint scored 13 touchdowns in the final two minutes of half this, you're tied with Vegas for the most in the National Football League. This is 34 at the Bears 44 yard line. Shotgun snap to breathe. Backpedals has time throws over the middle deflected away from Michael Thomas, who was crossing from left to right and the ball jarred loose and a little dance being done over the football by Danny Privation who was out there? Kendall for Kyle, four, rather Is the corner that knocked it away and it's fourth down on Sean Payton going okay? That's enough way. Don't think trying to go for it on fourth down, would be smart here at midfield. This planet, then deep Make it tough for the bears to try and go after points. Once that's third part of the afternoon and movement up front by the Bears. It's fourth and four and somebody moved on the line. Somebody's in trouble. Did the Bears move and give the Saints of first down? We'll start a fence number 47 5 yard penalty for count those sneaky states. They did not. They guard moved a little bit, and then the person opposite the guard on the Bears move, And then the tackle moved and pointed at the Bears, guys so Tried to trick the officials can't trick. The officials know our referee Alex Camp was not going to be tricked by any of that noise. Alexander's Aloni called for the false start. More steady. Well, part of the way gives you more room to deaden it down inside the 10. Hangs this one up short punt. Carter peering up into the roof of the Mercedes Benz Superdome is calling for the fair catch. It makes it in the 18 yard line. So the bears who will come out with a pair of timeouts and down War with a minute 49 remaining in this first half going to work in the 18. And this is a big chance for that nagging Chicago bears because they will get the football to start the second half if they can put any kind of drive together. It's the points on.

You know, there's a whole lot to talk about with Josh Alan It's a lot to talk about with Lamar Jackson. But then we do have some teams that are in the playoffs right now. Will you just have to stop and go? Okay, just waiting for them to be eliminated. If you're a fan of some of these teams, you pretty much what the hell are you thinking? You thinking the same thing And I'm I'm talking about the Bears. Just being honest, I'm also talking about the Washington football team. Nobody in their right mind could legitimately sit down and say all Well, they're gonna win. It's just a matter of when when do they get eliminated? That's what makes the juju Smith Schuster comments about the Browns being the Browns like that Zoe overkill. Why you gonna beat up on a team with no coach dealing with covert? No practices? One practice, Baker Mayfield, Then throw a football until this afternoon. All week long Offensive line banged up like, come on. All the Browns, the Browns. You know, after you know you, you beat him up. Full healthy squad. Are you gonna beat upon the Browns while they have beat up already? Give it a break. All right. Who knows? Juju Smith Schuster might not even be on the Steelers in the future. So There you have it. He can watch the Browns from a distance. Baker Mayfield. Someone that I'm upset. This is just what we all have to deal with. You can't do a damn thing about it. This was the risk of playing football in 2020 and having the playoffs and 2021 that covert issues weren't just gonna Take place and happen in the regular season, but these issues were going to crop up in the postseason as well. In the NFL. You're not going to change the schedule around. They're not going to adjust the damn thing. And so the Browns. In my opinion, it just Kind of screwed. It doesn't matter what happens. I hope they're competitive. Hope they can win, but The I don't that I can't find anything that would be in their favor against the Steelers. Baker Mayfield. He was asked about the team's mindset. Heading into the game. This is what Baker Mayfield had to say. The key for me is to continue stressing things we've been talking about protecting the football. Putting us in position to, you know, had the most success, you know, take care of the ball. Keep the change moving. I think not hurting ourselves early on being in more manageable third downs. This is freaky. Yeah, that's all that's all good to hear. But what has he been on the sideline with Alex Van Pelt calling the place. Never Baker Mayfield. I was looking forward to him taking charge. I was looking forward to watching Baker Mayfield out on the field and helping to command the offense. Why you gonna call out the hurt? See? Why are you going to call out the covert afflicted team that didn't practice all week? Would you juice Smith Schuster be talking trash about the Browns. If they weren't in a positive space, the steel is themselves. They didn't get a chance to rest. Would he be talking all that trash, then? Are you gonna kick somebody when they're down that that's unnecessary? And that I can't get with. You know it's one thing and this is totally different than what I said last night about Chase Young. Steelers vs. Browns - Game Recap
"The cleveland browns. Two thousand two. The last time this franchise was in the playoffs but they beat the steelers yesterday's and they get in and dan. They started out running the football with nick. Chubb that power. Run game with nick chubb. You see that offensive line. Kind of changing. Denting the line of scrimmage and then chubs depth pig playmaking physical and not between the tackles but also got big enough speed and baker. Getting don is looking for tight. End up ten nine on first and goal in the third quarter this afternoon. Yeah the fact that they went back to this he missed it in the same play gets his is. Backside finds often prefer touchdown. No ben in this game mason rudolph way had some good moments. And then he had this one really good blitz packet by the browns defensive drop myles garrett into and then that safety to sit there like all right. Don't leave the ball mason. Rudolph shoots turner for this defense. Need mental switched sides on the field because it went to the fourth quarter and then it went to jarvis landry and the browns were up twenty four to nine not love this play. Call you kind of get. Landry sideline to sideline and you handed off for the touchdown. And then finally you get the ball out of pittsburgh's defense something that chase claypool done. So well look at his ability. Go up kind of contest for that. Catch over jumped. The fence and back touchdown pitchford. That made it twenty four sixteen and then under two minutes to go in the game and this is juju smith schuster and all of a sudden. It's twenty four twenty two dan. How about the two point conversion you gotta make sure at some point. This guy's got the opportunity to go high point of all scrambled around. Give them a chance to go get his hands on that. Football fewer still had chances stephen. Carlson somehow manages to come up with this on side kick. he's eighty nine cleveland. There for a moment there was kind of between the wickets. If you know what i mean. But he manages to hang onto it. And then dan baker mayfield runs with the first down the isis. The player not love the play call by defense came look at the emotion from baker mayfield. You don't kind of representing that city. Just look how much it means to him to finally get that done in cleveland. Good for him good for them. The browns are in the playoffs. The afc wild card round will kick off saturday.

Can the Pittsburgh Steelers Go Undefeated?
"Are see. We are forced to listen to quarterback so often in the world of nfl analysis. So i just wanna thank you for helping lead. The db revolution espn daily. Why does this happen. You guys finally invited me or it's your time man your old team. The steelers are right now. Undefeated and that is surprising. Let's be honest to a lot of people. So how surprising is it though to you. I think it's it's. It's more surprising when you actually watch the games It's obviously surprising. Anytime team goes through more than half of the season and their undefeated. But when you watch the steelers play the second half against tennessee titans even watching them to send the backup quarterback gets the denver broncos or be dominated upfront defensively the way they were against the baltimore ravens but still be undefeated. I think that's the fascinating part is not just that they've managed to win. Every game is just inside of those games. you seen opportunities for them to lose. But they've made the place that they've to. I mean you can even look at a match up against the dallas cowboys and say you know gary gilbert and the dallas cowboys may have deserve to win that game. But that's what this lied about was going to come down to one possession games. He's gonna come our critical situation though football moments and at least it does far. The steelers have found answers to any questions in those important moments. And this is why you sit undefeated. So how does this defense stack up. Ryan versus the steeler defense. Is that you played for that. You helped lead. What are the holes in this defense. You know what. I don't think they necessarily have holes in the sense of of those things being a negative right. He's looking to make a rush. The passer with just for the obviously can bring bring pressure make fitzpatrick ultimate playmaker on the back end and i think they have really good corners. But they don't have that great court but when you all those things together i think you get one of the top defense in the league especially when it comes to pressure and turning the ball over we. That's what football is right. Like people aren't going to hold you. Thirteen points like we did wait. Like that's not the ball we play it. You can't intimidate people like i would get fined and kicked out of every game. Five play james harrison fell six million dollars a year. You can't do those things anymore. But if you could get the ball which the pittsburgh steelers do know that really helps and that's why this team world season. Well i wanna get into the difference between playing football then versus now especially because offense is king these days as you implied right there so the defense is the big reason. The steelers are undefeated. The offense though i mean they've been relatively relatively average so can eighteen built around defense. Like the steelers are ryan. Can that sort of team win in the modern nfl. I believe they can. I believe they can. Because if you look at the individual weapons offensively like they are extremely. good I think you you're missing that one running back piece but we look at pool. Smith schuster the johnson. Eric ebron like that's a skill set or skill position that a lot of teams would love to have especially teams not named became the city chiefs. And so if you can do all those things on the outside like they can. You can score points. Also look at this team at critical moments though. Think about tennessee. Titans having to get a drive late in the game even though been was a reception late like they were able to the ball greg band. There's gonna prevail on the road. The pittsburgh steelers had the hold on dearly man. Hold on they do for the baltimore. Ravens they score in the second half and they were able to do that then back pop. For the end zone touchdown pittsburgh and all the out cut to the chase. Claypool man play. It just seems that all the critical point of the season it's offense has been able to produce down to like. I said the dallas cowboy game last week obviously exploiting a very bad bengals defense and well in a team like the cat city chiefs right and i say okay. One had the baby stopped him have to limit big play. The pittsburgh steelers can do that with rush. Plays on the back end right. Play play man when they need to stop the big click now. Let's go offensively the only time we've ever seen patrick mahomes lose. He was in the playoffs. He was standing across from another super bowl. Winning quarterback that was tom brady and rothlisburger. Isn't tom brady but he can do. Some of those things in important moments. And we've seen of do those. And so i think this team can most certainly went into as you mentioned chase claypool his nickname if catching on with you but maple tron. He comes from canada. He's this guy. I didn't know anything about. I wonder if you did because he has seven touchdowns in his first nine games as a pro. What has he brought to this offense. I mean you look at what this league is turning into. Because of the lack of physicality it's a it's a size speed league right like it's starting to they used to be. It didn't matter what happened in the shorts olympics at the combine like if a fast it didn't necessarily mean it was going to translate do can do certain things there did me but it's starting to mean that at the wide receiver position because of the rules. Like if you could flat out run you're gonna probably get open because they can't hold you. You pass five yards. They can't hit you across the middle play putin critic who has great hands he tracks the ball. Well he has a big body and so when you have all those things just translate we've seen chase claypool. You know kind of come out of nowhere. They just kinda have a knack for finding people that sit what they want to do and utilizing them in a way. That truly helps the team chase. Claypool is just another example of that

Juju Smith-Schuster Launches Esports Organization
"Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Juju Smith Schuster just launched an Esports organization. I'm a dream is the Sportsman it presented by E Sports Network. Juju is one of the most active traditional sports players in gaming in Esports. He joined Drake and ninja along with Travis Scott during that famous fortnite stream and his work closely with his clan over the last few years today. He announced team diverged. The new organization is described as a gaming entertainment and lifestyle company based on that and it's athlete owner the Oracle likely be trending towards the faith content model and not a purely competitive Focus team diverge is also claiming to be the first athlete LED gaming entertainment and lifestyle company. And I guess that depends on how you categorize that type of company wage. The plenty of e Sports organizations are owned by athletes Verizon echo-fox are two big ones plenty of soccer players, including David Beckham kind of also have organizations and so do a couple of other football players wage. That's not even including all the athletes who invest in orgs most major organizations have at least a couple athlete backers some like energy have a whole roster of All-Stars regardless. This is an organization Page look out for right now. The plan is for the org is to recruit athletes musicians and other celebrities, then they plan to open a gaming house and twenty Twenty-One and that will certainly be a hub for some really interesting content for now. They've been Fielding any teams in major e sports, but they do want to put together a group of players to compete in gaming tournaments. I'm imagining they're aiming it like war zone and fortnite Pro-Am or something similar to that Juju is also keep a relationship with basically an intact according to an E Sports Observer article. Although it's unlikely. He'll be continuing to work on any clothing lines like the one he did with phase now that he has his own Esports organization. Patriots may soon have to deal with their first Antonio Brown issue and it has to do with his number
"We have to talk about the biggest storyline in the NFL Antonio Brown as it looks like the saga for Antonio in some ways is finally ending and in other ways. It's just beginning for number eighty four as Antonio uh-huh Brown signs a one year proved deal with the New England patriots and it's hilarious because there is so much speculation when all his shenanigans with the Oakland Raiders for going on that really it was just a grand master plan for Bill Bella check to somehow land the all world talent wide receiver in sure enough he gets released from the raiders and later that day signs deal with the New England patriots another huge weapon in the offense four. Tom Brady and this has shades of what Randy Moss did did when he was with the Oakland Raiders. Moss spent some time in Oakland during his games he played for the raiders. You could just see that the big hall of fame wide receivers hardest wasn't in it. He wasn't really producing for the raiders he was now running routes with this full heart. You can just tell that he wasn't the Randy Moss when he was sooner in Oakland and then he goes to the Patriots under Bill Belichick and has a career year a record setting year with Tom. Brady Brady threw for fifty touchdown passes does that offense was just a cold plays away from being the first team to go perfect nineteen in Oh as they were trying to catch the seventy two dolphins they lose of of course the super bowl to the tremendous comeback led by Eli Manning and the New York giants. Is this going to be just like that. Are we gonNA see a patriots team. That could possibly go undefeated after Sunday night. That's a very real possibility that defense for the Patriots absolutely shut down the steelers and and if they know they're gonna get just a boatload of points on the offensive side of the ball you know Bill Belichick GonNa give all of his time and effort to making sure that that defense is ready eighty each and every week for their match. Make sure everyone's healthy ready to go that the scheme is right and we very well could see a run at history again in New England might right sound a bit presumptuous just in week one but the steelers are a classic. AFC favorite especially when they had the big three Bell Brown and Rothlisburger now with two of those three pieces Gone Smith Schuster looks to pick up the slack for Antonio Brown but now yet to find someone to pick up the slack for Juju at that wide receivers Chris to spot you also gotta be be frank here that James Connor is not living on bell. We saw that in that game Sunday night so the steelers were still a good test defensively civilly always are fantastic and brady made them just look like a peewee football team out there as he had no problem going for thirty three points in that game and pass over three hundred honored yards. You put a be in that mix with Josh Gordon Julian Edelman the running back tandem of James White as well as Sony Michelle is going to be a really tough challenge to beat this patriots team and because of that you who who's to say I mean they they could do it. They could do it you. You can't say they can't there. There is a real world possibility with the addition of Antonio Brown that the Patriots could make some history but now we gotta look back at how this came to be an Antonio oneal brown you could tell really from the Gecko once he got into camp once he started running some routes with Derek Carr in this raiders offense something clicked in his head that he did not want. I WANNA be in Oakland. I mean he did the cryotherapy happens and you chalk that up to operator malfunction with the frostbite on the feet then he goes on this insane escapade with the helmet trying to get all that taken care of in think in trying to use his old helmet. He's used forever he. He's had six months to do it and he doesn't think that's enough time to find a new helmet. I mean he's not looking for new kidney. He just needs a helmet you. There's ways to figure that out to make it fit and make it. It'd be comfortable everyone else in the NFL did it why couldn't he that becomes an issue. He's stays out of training camp. He doesn't do the walk throughs. The helmet issue did not mean he couldn't couldn't practice with the team he did that on his own accord and then he goes after the general manager of the raiders after he gets fine for actions he knows our final. He did them with that in mind. There wasn't like that fine just came out of the sky on him and Mike mayock gets verbally costed by Antonio Brown he goes on a barrage. I use of slayer of slurs cuss words to Mike May Auchan your raiders still still planned on playing him in there Monday night game against the broncos broncos that says a lot about the raiders as an organization that they were willing to take this abuse from Antonio Brown and take all this Prima Donna behavior behavior that was happening with Ab and still play him Monday night when he's barely practice with the team we talked earlier in the season here here on this show about how Antonio Brown by taking all this media attention has helped the raiders rookies developed because they haven't had to deal with it and that's still true in the lot of the raiders rookies have talked talked about in themselves and the second year players have said by having Antonio Brown. It's been nice that they haven't had to deal with the media coverage and hard knocks and that was really a lot more centered around Antonio Brown but he's also had a terrible example as an a way to conduct yourself as professional with what he's done with the raiders clearly didn't want to be there show the the reaction video when he finally gets released from the raiders and all of that finally goes down and I think the raiders are better off for it you if you're going to establish a new culture in Oakland. You can't have this going on in your locker room on your sideline. You need to get Antonio Brown out of out of there if he wants out all the better let him go you cut your losses just saved a lot of money by voting that twenty nine million that you would yet. You'RE GONNA pay him over the three years Antonio Brown you get your wish you go you get to play for the Patriots I think both sides can kind of wash their hands of the issue but now the rest of the NFL has to deal with the Patriots and Tom Brady having Tony Brown as viable and very real. You'll weapon for them

Antonio Brown facing possible suspension
"Antonio uh-huh brown and the raiders day got issues. Antonio brown basically came out today taunting the organization and saying that helmet thing. I made a bunch of money on it yesterday. He basically on instagram. Put out a letter. The raiders sent him about a fine in the raiders like any organization. Don't want to be taunted by an employee that stuff's discreet confidential. You know what those letters go in public so mike mayock and antonio brown got into ugly situation today. It says it looks like he's going to be suspended bended now. It should be noted. The adam schefter tweet said looks like he could be suspended. Maybe jon gruden doesn't want him suspended. So now you could have mic mac and jon gruden battling. I wouldn't have gotten maybe not into needy people not in a needy wide receivers odell beckham in cleveland. I've said it before. I think jarvis landrieu still be there in five years. I don't think odell beckham would be a not a t. O. guy. I'm not an show guy. I'm not an antonio brown guy. I'll take doodoo smith schuster and pittsburgh berg is not as good but he's ninety percent a._b. Without the nonsense so this is the very latest on this stuff as more happens. We'll discuss

Time names Christine Blasey Ford and Brett Kavanaugh on 100 most influential people list
"So one hundred of the most influential people time has their their hundred most influential people. I have heard of up some of these not all of these, you know, some of them you like like you got ninja, right? Like ninjas? The the the guy that's on the internet playing the video games. I say that he's a gamer and each one of them has has had like a forward written about who they are juju Smith Schuster big NFL wide receiver wrote his and he's in what they call the pioneers. Right. You got that? You've got people some the rock as artist Gail Gadot wrote about him, right? Like, and some most of these people I've heard of most of these people, you know, the usual Randy Malik, and Glenn Close and a few other that some of my never heard of leaders Nancy Pelosi, Hillary Rodham Clinton wrote about her, right? You got Trump and several other ones on there for those keeping score. You know who else is on there, though? And I found this to be very interesting kids. Christine Blasi Ford. What the hell is she on there for? Hey, you'll see I get right at a lot. And again, a lot of them. You're not going to know who they are. They're influential globally, whether they're titans of industry that you've never heard of or their politicians and in certain areas, but. Christine Blasi for are. You kidding me? Is this a joke? Right. What exactly did you do? I'm just curious. What did you do? Well, you know, she was setting. No, she never proved anything. She gave a half ass circus like gibberish. Couldn't remember a damn thing. Something that happened forty years ago, whatever in a place that she can't remember by people. She can't remember by people that were there who don't remember being there. I I'm curious about just exactly what it is. Right. That that to me. I just I found it to be fascinating. But I also look on here. And I said, it's exactly what you would think it would be. It's a lot of people who you don't know who are on the left side of the aisle who have all these big fancy things that a few right side of the aisle, usual cronies that are, you know, the the Mitch mcconnells of the world and stuff, but it is. I was just don't found it. I'm like. You know, I could see there are some people out there that you would say, okay. I could see why you would be on here. Influential wise when it comes to sexual assault or the metoo movement her. I don't know. I don't know. And yes that cavenaugh fellows

Is it possible for the Rockets to beat the Warriors?
"Want to buy. Aids. Is it possible? The rockets could get it together by the Western Conference fund where they're better than they were last year. Is that possible? I don't think so it's not possible. I don't think so I think that's poss- adult at the sixty five wins as good as they looked last year. I don't think it's possible for most teams to be better than they look lashes out. But what I mean is actually better like the the warriors one seventy three games. Yeah. And then they got better because they added the rent their regular season record wasn't as good. But in the moment of truth, they were clearly the best team. And of course, they should be big favorites. Again, the way they've been looking recently. And the talent we know they have my point is if you believe it's possible for the rockets to actually in the moment of truth now that they have the experience of last year be better than they were last year. They only need to be that much better by the snow. You don't think the lawyers? Got you go, Molly, I'm trying to make. It's just interesting doing down that ladder. They had no man that tell C P three got hurt. I just. Very very very clear. My reservations for Oakland have already been made. There is no there's no issue. Here is your I will be in Oakland at oracle ju- where where are you going to be on the east coast with us? I'm hoping I'm hoping today Milwaukee. But only for you know, I may wanna socialite that's all your team because a lot of drama goes another day in more support coming out for Pittsburgh's Antonio Brown. This time for fellow wideout juju Smith Schuster crazy stuff about AB. You gotta fill in a law firm. If you come back, you guys welcome. And they man he may he's guy. Yeah. Well, I wonder what his teammates feel about this tweet from AB who usually says businesses Bowman and right now, Stephen he's open for business. It'd be over for whatever you want still is Abbas right to say other so exc- he could be open to whatever he wants. I don't give a damn about Antonio Brown's feelings right now I wanted to stay with this. These that great. And really, by the way, I'm not telling you anything. I haven't told him. Yeah. If a damn by his feelings, I want him on a steel course. I don't want to Steelers to trade this, man. He's great. He's too. Great figuring it out. I'll give it there. You gotta give them a massage pedicure. You gotta take them. You gotta have sports therapy sessions with you gotta go play with his cage got treated to dinner for the next day. What you gotta do. Now. I will say this. I want him to apologize to Mike Tomlin to for pudding that coach in that position. But particularly considering the paucity of African American coaches, so only two and NFL it'd be three by the time. New England wins the Super Bowl, I guess unless they lose the bottom line is is that I don't like the position. He put my Tomlin. And that's about it outside of that. He doesn't want get Tomlin put him. That's fair. That's fair. Let's get over it and figure that I or Rooney is saying I don't see how you can be on the team next year. Yeah. And all the press all the chirping out of the Steelers negative towards the future with Antonio round. Like, we don't we don't see it, basically. Now, all of the sudden juju Smith Schuster, though, watching his body language and his and hey, Derek Carr. Yeah. I'm I'm inferring. What I see? That's true. I didn't seem to me like it was in juju Smith, Schuster heart. But you can't know another Mantar all you can do is inferred from what you see. Didn't I don't know? If he if those words that are coming out of his mouth reflect the way, he's feeling, but I'll let me read between the lines a little bit. It seems to me Stephen A that at the point that they were saying all that stuff. They were probably thinking we are going to try to trade him. And probably I imagine started to kick the tires on some trade ideas like one could they get back for him. And I think what I read this. As is. Maybe what's happening here is they're not liking what they're hearing in terms of the return on moving Antonio Brown. And that they're better off with him. That's my sense. If they don't if that is true, then the Steelers would have everything to do with that. Because how do you want to trade such as surreal asset and command top dollar a top cash eighth for him? When in fact, you've served a role in excoriating, correct? So what you do don't they say this is what happened with Kyrie? Right. When the whole world. Knows he's outta there. Or you're gonna get the best offer. The worst offer at the worst offer you have to make people believe that he's going to stay whether that's because you don't get the offer you want. It's going to snake or to make people believe it. So they come with a better offer before we move onto LeBron. I just have to say this quick. I don't think I ever gave you props on this. When lady on bell was sitting going to sit out. And I was like there's no way he sits out. You're like, no he's probably going to sit out and he sat out the entire season. I think you're the only person that actually believed that he would do that. When we think he could do if you wanted the gold at the end of the grandma never would his type talent on that team. But happened LeBron James on this is fifteen straight game with the Lakers take on the Timberwolves tonight. But he hasn't been ruled out for Sunday's matchup with the sons, according to coach Luke Walton when he was injured on Christmas day the Lakers weren't fourth place in the west since they injury, Los Angeles five and nine they've dropped to ninth plates in the west, Stephen A. How bad is what bronze injury for the Lakers of worry. I was told not to be worry if LeBron James Levy reading. Needed to he could go out the plate, and he would be ready, but I find this to be the most significant injury of his career I'm incredibly concerned because I want the Lakers to get a big time free agent. I want them to make some noise in the summertime, and I think that obviously when you took thirty four years of age, they are going to be people who are going to question your ability, even the great LeBron James almost never hurt. So the fact that he's outright. Now, you have to wonder whether or not a potential free agent is going to look at that. And question how much time does he have left at this level? That's when I'm not saying there's any legitimacy to that. I'm simply saying that that's a reasonable cause for concern. And so the bright lights LA Tinseltown palm tree. So the California weather notwithstanding. You'd never know what some marquee free agent is going to look at when it comes to Magic Johnson. Lincoln picking up the phone to call them and say come on L A what I man the Bron. When in fact, they're wondering about LeBron. More. I look at this more. I think Jerry's going to be a Laker. Yeah. Because I started to run down the scenarios if it's not a Y, and it doesn't look like it'll be why I wouldn't put anything past magic he landed. Lebron after all if it's not going to be K D or someone like that if Kemba Walker in fact wants to stay where he is. And they work that out if Mike Conley is not the answer in a trade. And if the Celtics don't wanna give Kyrie a supermax like why would we want to stay in Boston, not only that they're extremely talented coach the whole thing, but he'd get a supermax deal. Then I think kyri and LeBron could come around in their own minds to seeing a reconciliation as hey, what if Kobe and shack worked it out what if they parted ways? But then they said, you know, what we messed this up. Let's work this out and that eventually the Lakers would be Kyrie's team that's got to be very appealing. We know kyri has relationship with Kobe. And could you imagine if the Lakers didn't have to give up any assets at this trade deadline, if they kept Ingram and Kuzina and. An and heart and all these guys and simply added KYW read or run Bill that happens where are they in the west for ten Kyrie's there right now with LeBron and LeBron's healthy. And assuming Ingraham continues to improve and mom gets a little better share, maybe one more acquisition the right acquisition. Lakers can win the chip next year. If kyri is there, you do not need Lonzo ball. They're correct. And that means you might get something for Lonzo. Then you might not need Brandon Ingram either. Say that happening playing with LeBron listen, I'm told that is far fetched kyri is happy and Boston. He has no intentions of leaving. But Kenny had ever go around not shutting. I don't have to pretend I'm not sharing anything anything's together. Anything is they get back together for now. Sure about that. Thanks. Mitch listening to the podcast gets. Ben Roethlisberger is 'clearly a part of the problem'
"Next. Next team president art Rooney. The second said Wednesday that talks have started between the Steelers and Ben Rothlisberger on a contract extension. Big Ben who turns thirty seven in March has one year remaining on his current deal. And let's keep in mind. There's been a lot of drama and Pittsburgh fellas and Tonio Brown apparently wants out lay beyond bells that out the entire season. Not to mention that Big Ben has been going back and forth on retirement these past couple of seasons. Tedy Bruschi still here with us joining us from the Pro Bowl and Orlando I teddy. There you are. We got you got you and all your friends in the background is big and more of a problem or a solution because this franchise feels like a mess right now. Because both he's he's definitely a part of the problem because they no other men in which he's handled things. I mean, again, you know, you you've got numerous players. You've got numerous NFL aficionados that have religiously called out Big Ben for saying things in throwing people under the bubble in the fashion of the quarterbacks. Don't this is not me talking. This is basically reporting what they've said as max is done as many others. If you watch Big Ben you talking about juju Smith Schuster. We should have thrown the ball of him every time you say something like that. You've got to know you've been around Antonio Brown long enough to know, how those kind of things would affect him along with various other things in other positions that he has taken that. We don't have time to get into in the end when it comes down to is that has made him a part of the problem because Big Ben is live by different set of rules. He's a bit flagrant with it. And I don't give a. AM who you are anytime you receive preferential treatment that you are you are playing by different set of rules as everybody else you are going to rub people the wrong way, especially when you consider the individual who abuses, the privilege. That's the bottom line. Having said all of that. When you look at Big, Ben he's also a part of the solution because nobody's perfect everybody makes mistakes. And if you're willing to man up in knowledge that you could have done better in certain respects. I think that would go a long way, I think the thing that the Tonio Browns of the world and others that are incredibly frustrating is not that big been mixed the mistakes, they made is that he doesn't necessarily he isn't necessarily deemed as an individual that learns from apologized showed the pope level of contrition and move forward without making sure not to repeat those mistakes again throughout the years. You've seen a pattern of behavior that has been consistent with him in that he has gotten away with it. If you listened to those NFL players Antonio Brown is one of those NFL player. Here's somebody that has said that. And as a result, you a big band you want to alleviate this situation you speak up. You recognize us where you're at fault. And I think if he did that that would go along way. So he's both a problem and a problem solver in all of this because he's right in the middle of everything as the stock quarterback of the team who obviously has is outspoken, Saddam. Well, we agree and disagree because I think he is part of the problem the solution. But for very different reasons part of the problem because Ben Rothlisberger is like a rich man's Eli manning. He is too good for your team. Just to stink almost no matter. What's going on? Right. You're good. A win some games. Maybe make the usually make the playoffs. So how do you get his successor? There's no succession, I just talked about how you know, unless you're Bill Belichick level. And it's not so easy to find a quarterback when you're not drafting up high. You know, it's more of a crap shoot. They don't have the person there that they feel can take the reins of the team if they're truly grooming. It doesn't seem to me on the other end. Therefore at the moment. He reads a lot of power because when you don't have that. But you do have a talented team. And you have a quarterback who's shown he can still play at a very high level, and we're in an era. That's right teddy in an era where older quarterbacks are clearly protected in ways. They've never been you look the level. Tom Brady is still playing at forty one. Drew Brees at forty then rothlisburger at thirty seven that that they realize, oh, wait a minute as beat up as he's been as much as he talked about retirement. He's still maybe has some years of football left in him. We don't have as backup. So he wields probably too much influence and he seems to at times publicly throw players under teammates under the bus. He's a problem because he's too good to get that next quarterback with the draft pick. He's your solution to the extent that you're good because he's a really good quarterback. And if you ain't got that, you ain't got anything. I'm with both you here because Big Ben has been a problem, and he can be a part of the solution. But this is what's happening here as you're talking about max. The quarterbacks in this league getting older and older and still being able to play past forty. What's happening is a generational gap. A generational gap between the quarterback and all of the younger skilled players and all of the younger players on defense that are ended up being a part of this team and the ability to relate. So they're almost these kids are coming in plan. I mean rothlisburger will have players coming in make sure that have had his poster on the wall or something like that that group as fans, and so how does that quarterback that aging quarterback you mentioned breeze Brady and rothlisburger? How was he able to relate to them and make them feel like still an equal? And as one of his teammates, this is where Ben Rothlisberger has failed has he failed. Also and other aspects where Stephen as talking about what he's calling out teammates where he's got no business when he should have when he's the one making bad plays. Also. Yes, I agree with that. But he needs to learn to start to relate to these younger generation of players because he will continue to get older, and that gap is. Real and you'll see players life Brees. How he still it seems like medicine Brady and breathes? They're old. Okay. How do they still have these close bonds with these young players that come into their teams and their teammates talking about them like they're best? How does that happen? There's something. Character wise that breeze and Brady has right now that Rothlisberger is lacking. I need your help with something here. Because here's what you lost. You talked about him relating to the other players, and I don't disagree with that teddy. The problem is it eight the younger players complaining about him and Tonio Brown is thirty years old. He's been big big Big Ben Rothlisberger his teammate for almost the past decade. And so this is I'm not saying that, you know, the he's thirty seven thirty thirty seven like Big Ben is, but he ain't twenty eight twenty one like did you Smith Schuster? The man is thirty the last six seasons. He's had a minimum of one hundred one receptors a minimum of twelve hundred and eighty seven. Yard. He's produced. Poor Big Ben he's been a primary target for Big, Ben. And yet that's where the problem seems to lie at this particular moment in time. So how do you explain that? And I'll put it up put it simply then because I agree with you there. It's a feeling that I've had with the quarterback that I played with and a lot of the saints and a lot of these older players on these teams that are mentioning they have the overwhelming thought in their mind that my quarterbacks got my back. No matter what that's what I think's not there in Pittsburgh. It seemed like it seems like if something happens the quarterback isn't there to either bail you out off the field the Bill you out on? That's what it is. I don't know if they feel the same way some of these saints and other players that this quarterback. He's got my

Antonio Brown refused to practice in Week 17 after heated dispute with Ben Roethlisberger
"Internal rift in at first I thought what could make Brown so mad like what could have happened and you re morning allegedly there. There was the situation in practice where missed the hot route and been said he wanted to run it again, and he just lost it. What is going on with Antonio Brown? Round got upset this. According to Jeremy is reporting that rob Berger wanted to run a hot read over again during a walk-through so coaches sent another player into run the play a source close to the situation told Adam Schefter Brown got upset left. Practice and talked with rothlisburger afterward telling the quarterback that he felt underappreciated and had issues with people in the organization Emmett the Steelers locker room dating all the way back to a couple of years ago and the Facebook live incident with. Yeah. Forgot about that. You've got the lady on bell situation. Then you've got weird blow ups and just the dynamic within that team for his talented is they were to not make the playoffs. It just seems like a really toxic place to be right. It sounds like everybody's getting tired of each other. Like they've just been around each other for too long in the the Antonio Brown feeling under appreciated. What do you need to fill? Appreciate money back. Like, he's looked at his arguably the best receiver in the NFL. And I'm sure his teammates and his quarterback in his coach and everybody in the organization agrees with that statement. So what else do you need baby doesn't like the fact that juju Smith Schuster and and James Connor some of the other players on the offense. We're getting some run this year wasn't juju voted like team MVP. So maybe, but I

JuJu Smith-Schuster Apologizes for Fumble vs. Saints: 'I Let Everyone Down'
"Juju. Smith Schuster is a guy who last week before the game sad big week coming up. I know it's fantasy football championship week. I'll do my best and all that stuff. Well, if you're watching the Steelers game the other day, it looked like after the saints took the lead late. The Steelers were going to have a chance they were moved the ball downfield got into getting into field goal range and juju Smith Schuster at the ball pulled out from him. And he fumbled. He was on top of the Tacna underneath him. And they pulled the ball out fumble saints get the ball game ends juju Smith Schuster tweeted when I'm at my lowest. I'm not going to hide I'm sorry. That loss was on me. I let everybody down it won't happen again. I it's hard to imagine the NFL playoffs without the Pittsburgh Steelers. But that's what you

San Francisco Chronicle Sports - Spoken Edition
Oakland Raiders ponder an issue of respect for respective quarterbacks
"You're listening to the spoken edition of the San Francisco Chronicle. Oakland Raiders pondering issue of respect for respective quarterbacks by an Killian in the third quarter of Sunday Steelers raiders game. There was a sequence that seemed to reinforce everything that Oakland fans believed the league thinks about the two franchises going all the way back to the immaculate reception in nineteen seventy two the Steelers get the breaks the raiders never do on third in nineteen from the twenty two. Derek Carr went back to pass. But the ball slipped out of his hand. It looked many like an incomplete pass. But was ruled a fumble recovered by Pittsburgh. I thought for sure I was throwing it car said it just slipped out of my hand as I was throwing it. I didn't get hit. So I knew for sure that it just slipped out as obvious trying to throw it going forward car tried to get clarification from the officials in those intense situations, they think you're trying to come at them. And they're like, it's confirmed already car said. You don't get to converse about it four plays later Pittsburgh quarterback. Joshua Dobbs did almost the exact same thing. But it was ruled an incompletion Jon Gruden challenge. The ruling, but it was upheld. He had some guys reviewing it in New York. The raiders head coach said when asked about what happened how the hell would. I know. I can't even see the guy we have some guys ruling the game in making these decisions that you can't even have a conversation with I am not going to get fined or anything like that. But personally, I don't like the process of it. We have guys that riphil. She aiding the game we have eight officials guys in the box. I would appreciate if we had a face to face conversation. They didn't gruden's challenge was overruled as was a previous challenge. Also in the third quarter when Gruden thought that Pittsburgh receiver juju Smith Schuster stepped out of bounds. I saw the official throw his hat Gruden said that is the mechanics of a man stepping out of bounds. So we challenge. It. I'm not very good at the challenge process. I'm going to try to stay in a good mood tonight, regardless the process left Gruden with just one time out and no more challenges which could have come back to bite him. It didn't. But the process left. The raiders frustrated is in Oakland quarterback not as respected as a Pittsburgh quarterback. And let's not even wonder what would happen. If the football had oddly slipped out of say, Tom Brady's hand way. We already now.

The Stephen A. Smith Show
Stephen A.: 'I'm embarrassed by what I'm seeing from the Pittsburgh Steelers
"Me let me to just a little bit allow me to express to you the alarming level of frustration that I on questionably feel at this particular moment in time. I cannot put into words how disgusted I am. That the Pittsburgh Steelers ended up losing this game. I can't even put it into words. Ben Rothlisberger four hundred sixty two yards passing wasted. James connor. He's no Le vian bell. Juju Smith Schuster, thirteen receptions, one hundred and eighty nine yards wasted. For two reasons above all else. Big Ben Rothlisberger leading the league in red zone interceptions. Do another one yesterday was Shelby Harrison defensive lineman getting blocked in the coverage. And ultimately Ben Rothlisberger throwing the ball right to. Now. We can make the argument that it's the freakish interception that Ben Rothlisberger may have ever thrown as he so eloquent it in the aftermath of their twenty four to seventeen loss to the Denver Broncos yesterday. Denver Broncos team. That's now beating the charges in the Steelers in back to back weeks, by the way, we could go that route. All we can state the obvious. If you watched it throw, ladies and gentlemen, it was an interception. No matter what. Whether it was Shelby, all whether it was Roe. I'm sorry. Shelby. Harris. Oh, whether it was Roby who had. Antonio Brown completely covered. I don't know what the hell big. Ben Rothlisberger was thinking throwing that pass made absolutely positively no sense. Whatever you can point to that specific interception. But it was going to get into septic. It was going to get into septic. There is no doubt about that. There's absolutely positively. No doubt about that. Yet despite case keenum only one hundred ninety seven yards. Despite the fact that Denver didn't have the most formidable run a game to speak of. They still ended up winning the game. I mean Lindsay did have one hundred ten yards on fourteen carries. That's almost eight yards per carry. I got it. But the real culprit and all of this was bent. It was turnovers from Connor. It was a drop touchdown pass from Washington. I mean, I'm just looking around right now at the Pittsburgh Steelers. And I can't even express. The level of my frustration. Because you see regardless of how. But thank Pittsburgh secondary looked earlier in the season. They had got things together. They were looking a little bit better. But now, I'm of the monster. They lost that game yesterday. And I said, dammit, they just lost a trip to the AFC championship game. Now. Now, I'm not saying that laser gentlemen, mama's saying that it's a very simple explanation. And you know, what that explanation is? It's the fact that the Pittsburgh Steelers now dropped to what is it a fourth seed. Or at least a three seed in the AFC that means Kansas City and New England both ahead of you. That means to get to the AFC championship game. You're going to have to be one of the other one a row, and I don't think they're going to do that. Now had the Steelers and all likelihood possibly fighting for birth to the AFC championship game at Arrowhead stadium against the kids City Chiefs. You know, what if you had home games prior to that one could stand the believe who knows what kind of upset could transpire maybe I'll get lucky. Now, it's no way in hell.

Steelers score 3 touchdowns in 24 seconds
"Steeler nation does out. And so was the over in play last night. We'll watch the beginning of this game. We had three touchdowns in twenty four seconds three touchdowns in a span of twenty four seconds. The panthers. I touched down to the game. Followed up by juju. Smith Schuster seventy five yard touchdown one. Dr one play for the Pittsburgh Steelers. Followed up by Cam Newton pick six to put the Steelers up fourteen seven. The Steelers also scored two touchdowns as ban of twenty four seconds later in the game seven touchdowns by seven different players for the Pittsburgh Steelers. And it was that kind of night. It was the start of the game that was really emblematic of both teams. And you thought we would get the strength of both teams to begin with the Panthers opened up their opening drive spread out. Lots of Christian McCaffrey breaking off big runs. The Steelers defense looked noticeably frustrated as they're getting some of these read option looks, but they can't seem to defend in Carolina goes down scores with relative ease. And we thought all right. We're gonna have a ball game. The Steelers on the other side come back instant offense. Exactly who this team is that seventy five yard touchdown pass to juju. Smith Schuster long touchdown passes to end Tonio Brown later in that game. These are all things that are expected in this Pittsburgh offense

First Things First
Antonio Brown pitches Dez Bryant to the Steelers
"Why? If you're the newer jets, aren't you trying to come to some agreement in some kind of middle ground with Sam Donald on this because that means every other contract that comes to be, you have to come to every other every other contract, but Sam Donald doesn't play every other position he plays the quarterback which is premium change in any way. Now you're seeing more guarantees. And one of the few teams though that have this language in their contract, and this is this happened, Jill votes with the with the chargers chargers as an organization in the NFL our they regard. They're actually picked to win the AFC how the organization regarded around the national football. Everybody says that the charges are one of the worst organizations and football in terms of how they deal with contracts, how they relate to their players. So I don't think the charges are the model for what you wanna do. If you're the New York Jets, this all aside week one who's the starting quarterback for the jets, I would like it to be teddy Bridgewater just because the jets have three games in ten days. They've got a Monday night game Sunday night game in Thursday night on the road in Cleveland. I would like it to be teddy Bridgewater just because I think that's a lot for a rookie quarterback to digest. But I think that we'll see Sam Donald sooner rather than later. I think the last time we saw first round draft pick not play at the quarterback position is what he sees and was Aaron Rodgers back in two thousand five. You don't think Josh mccown. Listen, I love Josh mccown, but I think we saw the best of Josh mccown was last year being five and eleven journeyman quarterback for we all agree on that. But teddy Bridgewater we don't know how healthy he is. I mean, three games in ten days is a lot. You almost feel like you throw Josh mccown to the bulls. Let him take a beating then Bridgewater and then eventually late in the season. You get Donald up and going get what you're saying. But Todd Bowles has got to win more than five. Your. Chris, we're making stick around even long. Could Dez Bryant teaming up with Antonio Brown and Pittsburgh AB. Sure. Hope. So that's next on first things. First. Back here with Chris Canty and we are talking Dez Bryant a few days into most NFL training camps. And Brian is still not on a roster while the Browns and Bryant reportedly have mutual interests. Steelers wide receiver. Antonio Brown took to Twitter to recruit Dez. Brown tweeted, come play with me, does Bryant. Let's get the chip, eat greedy, big plates, see better option for Dez Steelers, Browns would go Steelers just because it would seem like if you add to that Brown's receiving group with Josh Gordon Jarvis Landry seems like that would be a combustible mix. So I think I would air on the side of going with a team that's more veteran ball club. They've got a veteran, quarterback, fetch skill position players. They're not going to be relying on this to be a number one or number two option for that matter because they got juju Smith Schuster. So I look at the Steelers situation, say what that probably fits Dez a little bit more than the Cleveland Browns. And plus we know that Ben Rothlisberger. Has been known to pay backyard football a little bit. Being able to add live run the scramble drill pretty much better than anybody in the NFL. I think Dez Bryant would fit that style more so than the Cleveland Browns and what Hugh Jackson wants to do with that offense. I get where you're going and where you come in from. But I think that das- wants to have a great year wherever he goes. He only wants a one year deal, so he wants to put up some type of numbers. So next offseason he can get a big contract in Pittsburgh. I mean, obviously got Antonio Brown. You got juju Smith soocer levian Bill catches a lot of balls like he got one hundred and thirty two targets lash..
