"Got bored sitting at home for six months now. Can't get off a plane. It seems we missed him last week. Buddy is back with us this week. Scott Lace f the Sporting chef. Good morning, Scott. Good morning, Bob. I just couldn't take it anymore. I know that you and everybody else in California can take it because every place in California is crowded. Is it ISS but him so I flew to Houston, picked up by cameraman partner on the Dead meat show drove to Missouri. Did a ground hard and frog chauffeur dead meat. Now we're in the brass CA during a snapping turtle show this family here. They get. They go out and end of the swamp and have for generations have gotten these 25 £35 snapping turtles and they're waiting. Did you walk around in the swamp and hope to step on them and you got a pitch for So you're sticking the pitchfork Devon, but swamp and then the pitchforks. If it hits the eternal then you reach down and hopefully grab the right end of snapping, turtle. Oh, my goodness. I mean, those things are anything of bite your hand off. Oh, yeah. Those things are just like a cleaver their mouth. Oh, yeah, they're I mean, they're very prehistoric, the eating part of today. And the cool part is that we're in a town of 500 in the middle of Nebraska. There's corn. I mean, you know how we've got how we were. You know you go there and your guy can't look any grapes. Remember? They used to be a cow pasture. Now it's alright Graves. Yeah, Who's drinking all this stuff for? You know out here, it's corn as far as you can see. And you're just you know this So there, they've got corn oil refinery plants and ethanol plants and everything out So in the middle of corn, have I mentioned that there's any corn here? Well, it seems like there's corn in. I mean, South Dakota's no known for its corn, vast cornfields, too, so the pheasant capital right that that's true, But I've been to both places, but I have not seen this much Cornett and what's cool about it, though, is it? Small towns in this county here has had to cope. Bid, um cases so far. You know, they're pretty well spread out here. So I've done a recipe without Don't Also, I'm staying in a converted old farmhouse in the middle of the corn. And I can hear color dubs and Bob away. Quayle all the time. So really cool. That is cool. I'll have to come back here during quail season, but I have for a recipe. Today. I've got a grilled corn and black beans, salsa. That's really good on vision. Be great on salmon. Make that salmon a little bit spicy. Put this on top. Take some fresh, sweet corn. It's in season right now with a bell pepper couple different colored belt Tempus. If you have it from onion, rub it with olive oil and grilled the whole thing. You want those peppers to be cut black on the outside, and then you scrape the skin off. Chopped the whole thing up but some black beans and they could just be cooked and rinsed black beamed out of a can. A little cilantro, garlic, lime juice, tomato dash of the past or if you want it hot. Salt and pepper. Let that rest at room temperature for about an hour. And then when that fish comes off the grill, you get the crunchy corn peppery limey salsa You put on top of that. It's delicious. That sounds great. I mean, I often look for something a little different to put on fish course. Salmon has such a distinct flavor. I probably used it less on salmon. But a little bit of that would go a long way on salmon. Everything. It's not so pronounced in flavor. That flavor's actually pretty mild, and you can turn that same recipe. Serve it cold as a side salad, too, and that's on the sporting chef website. And it's called Grilled corn and black bean Salta for fish and on the dead meat show today at 11 o'clock in the morning, we're going to show you what happens when a bunch of drunk people go ice fishing in Minnesota. Okay. Okay. All right, Scott, enjoy yourself. Doctor. Thank you by Scotland's sporting Shiff dot com. And on that website, by the way. If you can find a lot of original recipes, and of course, thousands of people have tried him and really like him. Um, they're just consistent. They're good, common sense recipes. But you know if you have a recipe for something, and you want to improve it or or jazz it up a little bit. Go find something similar on Scott's Web page, and I'll tell you you will be happy you did because it's going to. You're going to see something is going to give you a good idea. Well, I do that all the time. Um, you know, Sly Park. You call it slight Park. Really? Jenkinson Reservoir Slide park. It's up out of, um Pollock Pines. You get the polic plants on highway 50. Turn right and go down five miles. You come to this lake. They've got a marina there, or at least a private boat ramp. And I mean a boat docks and they've got a little resort there. The knothole is the bar in the cafe in a store and gas and all that. Been there for a 1,000,000 years. And they've got amounts of Mackinaw in the store. Some really nice, big Mackinaw. Um you know, the lake is a lower elevation lake. It's not all that deep, but It's always had Mac. Okay, it's always had smallmouth bass gives up in occasional big brown. Most of the people go there to catch the planet Trout. But once in a while, not for a lot of years have way have we hear of a Big Mac? An AA will last week or the beginning of this week. I think it was maybe last Saturday or Sunday or something Saturday. I think it was As we had. Kyle needs air of crystal based on tackle on and he told me later that day. This is what came in. A young man caught at £29 Mac and a lot of slide park. £29. All we know is that he caught it. He was trolling 80 feet deep, and I don't know. You know, They say he didn't have a down rigor on his boat. So he must have been using either boats are either Ah Lead core or diving planes or sinkers because he was down 80 feet, and it was using a broken back Rebel £29 Mackinaw. He got a couple of pictures of it. I've got a picture of a beautiful then he released it. So it's still in the lake you away. That is quite a story. This is one of those stories. You wouldn't believe that a fish that big comes out of that. Like, Well, this fish was not only big it was big and bright and well fed so He's got a lot of a lot of things to eat in there with all the planet trout, of course. And and even you know, whatever. Other small fish is going to swim by now. You're not going to catch a lot of Mackinaw like that anywhere, especially flied part. But it is kind of fun to know that a fish like that does exist in a local waterway that we have been just looking out for years and years and then we just can't quite believe it. Anyway. After the break, we will talk to Mark Wilson, who's still catching stripers. It takes less than one minute to take the pre diabetes quiz. Prediabetes without.

Southwest Airlines is Boeing's biggest customer for the 7 37 Max, The airline's CEO, says he hopes the plane will fly with passengers in December. But given its history of delays, he said, they may not fly until the first quarter. Our futures are down 62 points. I made Cori with a Bloomberg Business report on news 93.1 KFBK. Should be a good weekend to get out of the water ways. Let's check in with Bob sins in the outdoor report salmon fishing off the coast of San Francisco, which has been absolutely wonderful for weeks and weeks and wigs. Has tapered off this week. The scores for the last month have averaged of fish to a fish and 1/2 to 2 fish, which is a limit per rob. But this week it's averaging less than a fish Peron. Why? Well, it's hard to say, but there's a very gentle prevailing south wind. A south wind is just not a salmon, fisherman's friend. It's hard to say why, but if that wind would turn around, and it would be a nice, gentle northwesterly, which is normal. My guess is the salmon fishing will pick up And if you're smart, don't try to second guess Mother Nature. She keeps us guessing all the time in Lim Sly Park Reservoir out of Pollock pines. It's always been a great getaway for people fishing has always been okay for planet trout smallmouth bass. And a few Mackinaw. But guess what happened this week, a £29 Mac and always taken and released. Details tomorrow morning on the KPK outdoors show between five and Bob Simms. Pekka Salmon are not Beytin. Just let you know when you were just telling us a fish. I want halibut fishing one time and I caught £150 halibut. It's It's a long big. That's a big fish story, right? Yes. Yes, I do. You have pictures. There are more than a few people. Listen is going out, right? You sure you did, But, Yeah, okay. All right, Let's get off to a little. Ah, Let's see what you're what happened. I think we're in the programme. I know it's July 24th is a day. Take it away, sir. Alright in the year that I have is the year 18 47 the 1st 1 I'm coming up with And that's why I'm bringing young brought 148 Mormon pioneers into Salt Lake Valley establishing the city of Salt Lakes. What year was that again? 18 47. I'll be darned okay. The next one I have is 1974 and that's when the U. S. Supreme Court unanimously ruled that President Richard Nixon did not have the authority to withhold subpoenaed White House tapes, and they ordered him to surrender the tapes to the Watergate special prosecutor Richard Nixon secretly recorded people in the White House and that was his undoing. Oz's tapes were his undoing his own tapes his own recordings that he recorded it. Yes, I think that's something okay, that's called shooting yourself in the foot. Yes, sir. Your definition of Okay, And the last one I have is the year 1993..

"Welcome back. Welcome back. No, I went up, Tio. I think I mentioned a couple of times before on Father's Day, I took a ride up in the Crystal Basin. I went through the campgrounds at Union Valley. I went up by Girly Creek and I went up but to Ah Loon Lake and never have I seen more people. At any time in my life in the Crystal Basin area. Unfortunately, the people that have got the new contract from the Forest Service operates two campgrounds. Well, they just were overwhelmed. The restrooms were terrible. All the Containers for trash were speak. People were supposed to dump trash were filled to the max. And it was not a quality experience at all. I mean, every nook and cranny was filled with somebody. It was that way. A Memorial day, the fourth of July and it doesn't seem to be letting up. It's hard to catch fish. In those lakes were not many people are there and on the water and doing everything else. The guy has been fishing for years and years and years. It has been on the programme off in this Kyle Naser of Crystal Basin tackle. I asked him to come on and talk about it. He's with us now, Kyle. How you doing, Bob? Good, good. It's got to be a disappointment to you to see that. Ah, so many people crammed into that area. Oh, yeah, It's a big disappointment, not just just to me growing up here my whole life, But most everybody in the community also Yeah. Ah, all of a sudden, it seems like it's not their backyard anymore. Somebody else's But but the fishing you know you've guided on these lakes for years. You've always done well, whether it be for Coke. Une for trout for Ah Mackinaw likened Union Valley. It's the fishing has taken a hit. Now the department official wildlife have been planning him. Uh, smud has been planning it. For example, this week, there's a plant in all three lakes. And yet the fishing remains less than what you would think. Any ideas. I honestly I don't know other than theirs like you. Like You said earlier. There's so many people just hitting those legs and pound them on the water. It's kind of just shutting the fish down. Um, I know the fishing is a little bit better during the week, but not a whole lot did did hear there was a few fish caught from shore over the weekend. They're sly Park Lake. Nothing, nothing big to speak of. You know typical planners, but nothing. Nothing big anywhere. It's not like they put the fish in and they take off and go hide. Yeah, it is strange that I know you were one of the few guys. I know that last year we had you on a couple times to actually get some limits a trial on the sly park even this time of year. But even slide park is overrun with people, huh? Oh Sly Park. It's so bad that on Saturdays and Sundays, especially when it gets really hot. They actually closed the gate down. Do not let people back into the two go into the light because they met their quota. Um it's closes early is 9 30 in the morning. My God, They're not letting people and they turn people away and tell so many people leave them. They let someone people back in, but I've seen it deserves 9 30 in the morning. They closed the lake and say Sorry we're full. No. Well, Kyle, let's let's put that studio. Let's change tactics here. If you were going to go, let's say Fish Union Valley. Now there's they are catching coca, neither their small Koko ni. They don't average 15 and 16 inches like they did for years there, and it's still a mystery. Why? Because The Mackinaw population doesn't seem to be that high in union. But if you're going just after the rainbow and smudged planning some decent fish one and 3/4 pounds on the average, So you're gonna go out on target trout? What would you do it Union Valley. It would be the same in any of these lakes once once. If you go right after they plant fish, it's usually at least a day. They kind of dispersal little bit that first day they're really piled up in there. They're lethargic, and they don't want to buy in. Of course, they don't want fish and game and smoking. Those guys don't want you pulling the fish out right by in the truck either, right? But I'm gonna be I'm gonna be trolling some something. It's bright, you know, bright silver spoon or cast master on Something real small, bright right close to service because the fish haven't acclimated yet started to know dive into the thermal client stuff, but once they start Really scattering out that I'm going to go back to traditional trout fishing, controlling and I'm going to be pulling Dodgers and my collars and Flashers and night crawlers. Ah, maybe even some small spinners. With just like coconut here, Except I'm changing from corn over to nightcrawlers from my bait. Okay? And once a acclamation, what would you guess this time of year would be the depth. Affairs. If you're a nice house, and, uh, Union Valley, you're going to be in that right around that 30 35 foot range usually where they hang out, depending on the water level, our houses down a little bit. So you know, but still we got enough cold water still trickling in there to keep Keep those fish, right. Is that 30 35 foot mark? Yeah, it's hard to know the cocaine E that you know as well as I do. They got a mind of their own. They could go down 70 80 feet if they want to her. Okay. Kyle will thank you for filling us in and we'll check with you again when the crops thinned out a little bit. And you can get back on the water. Okay, you Khun Guide Now, if you want a ride Yeah, the force just kind of put a few rules on earlier in the year. They actually.

"Is a K. P. K. outdoor show I'm Bob zooms thank you for tuning in this morning let's see we've been waiting for the salmon for about six years now at least that's what it seems like but it's still not happening in reverse I mean yeah there's a few salmon being caught and there's a good signs just the last couple of days in the feather river but that has not equated to great salmon fish mouth of American pretty boring here so far up river much better those fish kind of shoot through not in big schools but they do accumulate and there are some nice big bright fish up there but not necessarily in big numbers show let's go over to the coast and on the Klamath river well we should be catching salmon by now but we're not catching salmon bina I mean we had last week we had a little spurt in the estuary down by Rockwell and that's usually a sign of you know good schools of fish moving up river now next weekend eyes Labor Day weekend and that is a huge weekend up there Ellen the for all the guides from you know all the in tyre lower section of river I mean all the guides are booked I remember a few years ago when the department of fish and wildlife just a good example of just awful management open up the tide water and by the time of the Labor Day got him here they have their quota of salmon for the whole lower river before Labor Day weekend arable management which just awful so what what happens this year now this is this is the tribe general of the Xerox and you know the everybody gets together and they make these arrangements and they're supposed to be self policing Ellen you know they have a commercial season then a subsistence fishing season which is really all the same anyway so when do they open commercial season yesterday so that means the nets we'll be across the lower portion of the river five days a week which means it's very unlikely that enough fish will get through and on up to blue creek for the traditional great fishing on Labor Day weekend now this is this is the tribes this is the US fish and Wildlife Service I'm not sure to what extent the state has any say in this but it's been a mess for years and years and years the tribes are supposed to be self policing they weren't supposed to have nets out until yesterday but there was nets earlier in the week and nobody enforces it so you know the two days a week you're supposed to pull their **** they'll do like they do every year and they won't pull all the net so the whole thing's a mouse it's always been that way and probably always will because nobody is willing to do anything about it but so we'll just have to wait and see what happens on the Klamath is a mystery right now so basically inland salmon fishing is not what it normally last not great this time a year usually but it's a lot better than what it is now we just think they're late so what we'll try to figure it out any Giuliana will give us an update of the ocean fishing this week and from what I hear it's been pretty good another thing to happen down in the bay this week is Jonathan Smith who's the grand son of Jim Smith on the happy hooker and the son of Chris Smith now Jonathan and Chris operate the happy hooker in there another new boat at now that Jim is retired and Jonathan was out with a small load I think eight people and three crew and they got some hello bit and a few stripers but you know what else they got they got Levin limits of White Sea bass in San Francisco Bay I never heard of that before so that's kind of a unique thing we'll tell you about how they did it little bit later but they were targeting halibut and they got in this one place and he started catching these White Sea bass so they just stayed there and they limited out for the boat crew amazing hi no do they come up the coast or do they did a few come up years ago and spawn and bay and they've just been self sustaining because they catch a few every year but that was pretty good fishing and they're great fighter I've never caught on always wanted to but never have everybody says are tremendous fighters so we'll get an update on the ocean and the rock fan well hello bit down the stripers the whole works down and berries been a terrific year down there it will spend a little time in the mountains we'll we'll kind of double check in on the ice house in Union valley and loon lake and on the sly park Leon you don't think the slide park is a good place to Fisher's time you're but it's actually a little bit better than the others right now because the the others of just went into other deep funk for summer but will explain that they would check down a Bridgeport reservoir Anna catching fish down there of the east fork of the Walker river which isn't a trophy rainbow and brown stream it's not been an ideal shape all year long because of this tremendous winter we've had and so Britain Bridgeport reservoirs finally dropping a little bit but they're still drawing water for irrigation in the end the flows are up over three hundred feet per second I think ideally they should be under a hundred and fifty feet per second but you can still catch Fisher it's just a little bit you got to do with the high water little different technique so we still have the best fishing yet to come well one of the great trophy fisheries in the state and we just have to wait for the water drop a little bit but would do a little quick check on the twin lakes and up at Virginia lakes of the Welsh Walker river is fishing well all up and down it because of the trophy plants that plants they make plus the state has been planning it home so we get a report they will also get a report on the mark the ville area and what kind of shape the west you know the west fork usually starts dropping pretty dramatically this time of year quarter to short drainage goes through beautiful hope valley but when the water goes down the the question on how much they should plan up there and the counties doing that and of course a department official while I suppose to planet next week but we don't know because red lake up but the the near the headwaters of ones for because they had water is really got a bad algae bloom this year and the release and watered down that and that's kind of transferred to the west forks off I don't know rollers comes from all of a sudden but we just have to wait in the east fork is in fine shape and plant mac okay plus they released some water from Kenny reserve war up near if it's passed it cooled everything off and had put a little boost to the fishing and silver creek offered some pretty good Fisher so that whole there is doing really well on the other end we're gonna get a report from the Yuba gold lake starred in lake fishing game finally planted that they don't plant very often if plan everything south of us every single week a plan I think Golec twice a year two or three times a year I mean doesn't make any sense we offer no explanation for that but anyway the river itself is running good water while physician in the north Yuba river and it's worth going right now it's a it's a morning and evening deal at all until it cools off a little bit then it'll be pretty much an all day thing or just look out for the hatches whether your spin fishermen fly fisherman you could take advantage of it is where we talk about fly version you can usually accomplish the same with the lights spinning out food and a fly in bubble I would have done that my whole life very effective way to catch fish so up eagle lake fission tastes pretty good not great by any means but you go out Ellen you can catch some nice fish a few up to four pounds but they are deep now they're down you know twenty five to thirty feet deep right now and they do recommend that you keep the fish because the water temperature up a little bit and the PH is creeping up a little bit and it does stresses fish should get a good fight but the question on survival if you release some after a hard fight is there so for right now they suggest you you keep the fish to catch an eagle lake you get your limit let's see well we will check with Kenny priest about the lower Klamath there's a big derby coming up next weekend the first ever Klamath river derby he can explain that a little bit of don pagan only will be calling he has he finishes with full of play to talk about the fishbowl fulsome Berryessa and the delta for black bag so you know those three areas we will get a report there also I checked out with the bill McDaniel over the limit out bait and tackle it Clearlake fissions pretty good at Clear Lake sure warm over there it's warm everywhere but well we're not catching a lot of big fission Clearlake you know that means like eight or nine or ten pounders catching a lot of fear Ellen you know if you can use some adult to work change you're going to find something because our hidden a whole bunch of different things they just may not hit it every day but bill will explain that to us we will check with with Clyde of the old timer and see what's the latest on the on the delta stripers as of last week there seem to be plenty of fish between Rio Vista and broad flu will see if David expanded the range a little bit you know I started slow with those school of smaller fish and then each subsequent school seems to have slightly larger fictional so you know once you get up in you catch if you're good fisherman can go out and catch maybe a couple of you maybe fifteen or twenty Fisher twenty five fish today you know a lot of those will be shaker size or close to it but if you can get for five fission a six to eight pound range that's a good day are you having fun out there okay rob rhymer to check whether this and he's been playing with his underwater camera up on the feather river.

"Looking at my box, and I'm looking at that red prism, needle fish. And I'm saying man that was hottest lure for thirty five years. Sooner got it in the water. And bam rod down. Yeah. Red prism, number two needle fish. And so that would that was actually my hot one today. Red dog yesterday. Like I said, I didn't run the red prison yesterday because the red dog was so hot. So anyway, but yeah, I mean if there's one consonant for me, it's been orange oranges eagle lakes, color, isn't it? That was Val. Aubrey her website to get the latest eagle lake fishing dot net. I talked to Kyle neither of crystal basin. Tackling guide service about. Well is house union valley, loon lake and sly park Kyle the crystal basin. A great destination for a lot of people, you guide their your coca ni mackinaw rainbows, Browns, the whole gamut. I know you've been fishing ice house, quite a bit. How's that been doing? Has been real good. The last few weeks. It's slowed down the last day or two. But I expected the around after the holiday weekend, I would think and the boat traffic. Yeah. That vote traffic in that whole area kind of puts the fish down a little bit. Yeah. Even there, it's live part, which is right here near where we are that guys like to fish there. And it's one of the things you've got to be there early because the boat traffic, otherwise you just gotta deal with everybody you haven't fun, instead of fishing. Sure. So when you're fishing sly park, the fish, just scattered over the whole leg. No, they tend to want to get away from the boat ramp and get to that far side of the lake just because that seems to be where everybody plays with their boats is interesting. And the that one side lake where the boat ramp. You know, the fish kind of scattered to the other side, even the Bank fishermen do better on that side than they do close in. Well, that's where the all the open water is for the both of play around big. Yeah. So, so, but when you get out, there, are you catching some decent fish. There's some really nice fish coming out of.

"Cave outdoor show. I'm Bob SIMS. Thank you for tuning in this morning. Well, there's good news, hopefully that the wind will be stopping. The wind has blown since last Sunday in the high country, I know it's also been blowing in parts of the ocean really hampering fishing, but there's no shortage of fish. We know that. And now we've got fish from San Francisco will from below San Francisco salmon we're talking about clear up new Eureka area. And, you know the what's been hampering the fishermen up north since their season, open and may has been the wind. You know, these sustained periods of this north northwest win, which is very, very healthy for the sea because it creates this upwelling that kind of basically, spreads the nutrients and makes a very healthy ocean of things. However, the downside is the boats have trouble getting from one point to another you go up there during a heavy north win. And you don't wanna head south because that means you have to come back north and it is brutal. So with that being said, when the boats, do get out, there's been some very, very nice catches, Eric cited about their season in the Klamath basin. We really haven't talked about this much year because of that wind, but we will be a lot more now because things are cooking. And also when because of this upwelling it just seems to, I don't know what it is. Really put a bug in Iraq vision. The Lincoln, they really go on the bite. So when the boats consult in without the wind fishing for both those species, or the rock fish and Lincoln is really good too up there a little different not like San Francisco, Marin and. Sonoma's county, coz words, all rocks of their they have vast areas of beaches. You don't find rock fish there. So the books after travel, little bit depending on what you're going out. Plus, on top of the good ocean salmon fishing, Monday, July. First. The climate river opens so they have a the fish and game commission just completed their decision on the season in limits. I think yesterday or the day before. Anyway, what they're gonna do. Everybody up there wanted an extended season got quite a good quota this year. But they didn't want it just to be wiped out in a couple of holiday weekend. So everybody there wants to limit to be one adult salmon, and one Jack salmon. There's nothing wrong with that. I mean, that's a lot of eating right there. Okay. And plus, if you stick around for a few days, you can keep your possession limit will be three adults and three Jack. So that's so we'll see what happens. Another thing. That happens July first is the very controversial no lead in California as of Monday. You're not allowed to hunt anything. I don't care if it's non-protected species. You're not allowed to use any bullets with Lebanon. Or I think it's like less less than one percent. Let something like that. But you know what I mean, basically, it's lead-free free. And then this fee Lasko that happened this week with the governor Justice department. Well, we'll talk about that later but that just leaves all the law abiding citizens in California in a state of confusion, because the people that run the state don't know what's going on. Even though I mean, I think Newsom what he does every time he opens his mouth. He thinks whatever he says is law. It doesn't work that way. So anyway, maybe they'll get it worked out. I have my doubts if you'll recall Newsom sodas of July, you'll need this license to purchase ammunition. In addition to your background checks, and the Justice department came out right after and said, no, you don't and they, they declined to name, the Justice department spokesman now there is a governor. -ment that has got its hands tightly clasped around its backside. Well, if they find out I disagreed with the governor, he'll see that I'm fired. I mean that's stuff. Goes on everyday. Anyway. So as of now, I guess, you don't need a license. But don't don't count on me. Who knows that this point? Anyway. So that's what's going on. What's going on fishing? I took a trip over the east side through Markley Ville checked out Mark levino creek, the east fork of the Carson, the west fork of the Carson, I went over monitor pass into the west Walker drainage that I went over up to twin late down to Bridgeport, reservoir down below Bridgeport, to the east fork of the Walker river. And checking all those waters backup. First of all, I gotta tell you, it is beautiful on the east side. Everything is green nothing has dried out yet. The all the metals. You find are just lush this deep green is beautiful. We're snow on the mountaintops. It's just a just invigorating to be over there. The water's are high, but they are dropping and we have good news for all the people that plan to trout fish over there over the fourth, because there's going to be trout and all those strange. So we'll get into that as the program goes on. Anyway, up at lakes like, stampede, lots and lots of cooking up there. But you gotta really we'd to small ones to get the fourteen inches or bigger. It's tough to do fish awhile up does not manage that as a fishing lake. They manage it as a brood stock, as like a hatchery to the department official wildlife, so that's why you don't get the bigger fish there. But coconut fishing down at new us little different story. Just don't go out in automatic catch thirty or forty fish. You may have to work for, but you can get limits of beautiful fish up into the seventeen inch read on now. You're, you're talking. Good coconut. Okay. Also at bullard's bar will get a report from rob Reiner's. He was up there this week and limit fishing is the rule there. Now, these fish aren't as big, but they're still in great shape up around thirteen inches. We'll see what, what the bigger fish were when we talked to rob just after six o'clock Davis lake Davis, leg is really kicking out some nice, nice rainbows, and elast week, Frenchmen's reservoir Frenchman's is like, not that far away from Davis. But it looks like it should be Nevada. That's, that's how different the terrain is, but Frenchman's was really kicking out some beautiful, beautiful fish Davis is, is off to a good start this year. And we'll get reports on both of those places up to crystal basin. The is house and union valley and even loon leg will get reports there, even reports on sly park, reservoir, trout fishing, it can be pretty good now in lakes, like ice house, and sly park. You gotta get there before the, the crowds. Okay. You've gotta get there before. Four it's just pushed the fish down. You know that does that everywhere. But there could be pretty nice fishing those legs. And I talked to Kyle Nisar crystal base, and tackle and tell you exactly what he's doing to get the fish eagle. Lick eagle lake is it's off to a pretty good start to usually by this time of year. The water is warm, you have to fish deep but they're still fish right on the surface early in the morning. And during the day, you rarely have to go any deeper than fifteen feet, and there's some really nice fish being caught up at eagle lake this you're, you know, you don't hear of many four pounders early in the season at eagle, but I have this year, not every time out by most of the Fisher two and a half to three pounds. That's a nice nice average. But then you get these fish are up three and a half and occasionally four Pounder. Those are due to what's out of eagle lake. They will set you free. As they say, okay, we'll give you a very interesting take on the sly park campground, and how they run that different than any campground I've ever seen before. But as I said, rob Reiner's would join us Andy Juliano's join us in about fifteen minutes, bringing us up to speed on the ocean and the bay area and Alabama which is just going. I'm just crazy. It's just one of the best seasons ever. And then, of course Scotland Seth CLYDE ones found some stripers in the delta. He said, he would and he did Don pag. Anneli is gonna join us at seven fifteen. There is a fishing in the city program today and Gary, coz, going to join us just after seven o'clock talking about the upcoming derby, and also the number of coconut and king salmon that. Department of fishing wildlife has put into various lakes this year. So you'll know what to expect for the future. Now it is a little confusing Kasese fish were actually hatched in the fall. And by the time they caught him in February, they're considered one year old so. It's hard to keep track one of these fish well, when they're three years old, they're going to be available to be a. Well, what does that mean? Really does that mean two years old anyway? We'll try to straighten all that out where so all that. And more coming up on the cave Piquet outdoor show in the next two hours and Forty-five minutes, thanks for being here. Trust Christine, and I've been doing this for a while. Sam Shane news. We have a pretty good idea of what you're looking for..
