It's like the brave little toaster of Mexico. You know Michael. Think about the things that have happened in that. I don't think I want to hear any of the stories as bad as tell. Can you imagine near the scene. I came into this morning and the mud room. I don't WanNa know anything about. Oh my God you know. Why me I love it but yours in that very same called him a very major talent who'd been overlooked by the film Industry Kurshid continues? I was privileged to be chosen to to direct the empire strikes back. It was one of the great adventures my life and also one of the most difficult which makes it a great adventure. What a charming fellow Slough Slough? George also famously did not at least did not exclusively individually write the script for this Lebron. We're going to talk about more later. On the eight today wrote an initial version and then of course lars casting came in widely credited. Now not not only with writing the final version. The scripted ultimately became the movie but with in many ways solidifying masterpiece and altering what people thought star wars can be so in that that same conversation. Lucas explained the decision not write the screenplay directly this is fascinating really illuminating illuminating sentences process quote my opinion of myself as a writer is is less than enthusiastic and I felt that one. I didn't want to have to go through all the drafts. I respect them too. I mean frankly there's a why couldn't they have stayed in this head. Space Right in the prequels conversation. Now you don't want to be cruel cruel. I think there's a way to read Georgia's career where he starting out with kind of like experimental. Filmmaking is very enmeshed in kind of like montage filmmaking and different styles of documentary filmmaking. And he's made comments over the years where it seemed as if he kind of is intimated he felt trapped by the success of Star Wars. And I think this is a way for him to like free himself as much as he could while while still maintaining control right the product itself that came from those decisions and myriad other decisions was the movie that Star Wars Fans uh-huh absolutely cherish and adore the tone vibe. Much darker. Really this is movie. That establishes obviously a new hope is iconic a central and elemental but empire is the one that establishes really what the areas of Star Wars could be with the mythic status of star. Wars could be with of course historic reveal and clinger twists which we'll talk about length takes it to Greek tragedy levels and it's kind of those things where every aspect of the script cinematography holography the production design. Set Design. The costumes on all of it is so masterful that you have to acknowledge that. It's a great film whether or not you like Star Wars. It's that caliber of movie. Making experiences utterly innovative from a filmmaking perspective beyond the story itself and all of that translated to some serious box office success the movie made two hundred nine million domestically four hundred million. We'll ride in its initial releases in nineteen eighty dollars. After re-release it's up to two hundred ninety million domestically mystically in five hundred forty eight million were that makes it the thirteenth highest grossing movie of All time adjusted for inflation three spots higher than your king if injures endgame but interestingly only the third highest star wars movie behind a new hope in the force awakens critical and fan response highest rotten tomatoes score for both critics is an audience is at ninety five and ninety seven percent fresh respectively as absolutely no surprise won an Oscar for best sound as well as a special achievement award at the ceremony for for visual effects. And this is really the movie where it's like Star Wars. A new hope looks great empire. Strikes back looks fucking amazing. It's astonishing John. The first film should the apocalypse just before the globe. That film will be there in the vault for the aliens to discussion and cherish as it should be honestly Roger Ebert in his career review of empire and Reggie Dot Com before the prequels road of the movie quote. The Empire strikes back is the best of the three star wars films and the most thought provoking after the space opera cheerfulness of the original film this one plunges into darkness and even despair and surrenders more completely to the underlying mystery of the story. It is because of the emotion stirred in empire that the entire series takes on a mythic quality that resonates back to the first and the head to the third. This is the heart he continuous. The glory days of science fiction critics wrote about the sense of wonder that's what empire strikes back creates US absolutely Rakkli right and that ultimately me is the lasting legacy of the film that coupled with the innovation that was so fully on display their this all time love classic changing perception. Not only of what star wars series could be but really of what the genre of science fiction and fantasy big budget blockbuster movie making and really in some ways of what filmmaking story creation period could be in the feature at George Lucas on the digital revolution. George George says quote all art is based on how far you can push the technology talk about a fascinating insight into his respect the process. We really feel that throughout about the entire film. How fully he means that? It is a showcase of technological capability marvels. Ed Cap meal said quote Lucasfilm Really. It was the only place at the time willing to take a risk and George did that. And the effect was utterly revelatory as Empire Screenwriter Lawrence Kasdan says in conversation with masters quote. It was as though all the advancements George had made in Star Wars had geometrically exploded in the few years between movies while it was just what you want from movies people will rocked by it. All Right let's talk about movie cert- With Luke and Yoda and vitre because these three are linked the entire way. So so in that DOC conversation with a master's screenwriter alarms Qazvin says quote. All you're looking for in any story is for there to be a conflict and a surprise rise and a development something that you don't expect that's how all the good stories work and in that moment he's speaking specifically about the trap. That is is waiting on cloud city but his summation there. It's really the entire film. A utterly Commanding Second Act Center on a series of disclosures and a Pekingese and it also reminds us yet again one of one of the great miracles of Star Wars creating something utterly singular while abiding by such classical techniques. It's the moviemaking version of introducing using frozen nitrogen to French cuisine. We spoke at our new hope. podcast about how considerably. Joseph Campbell's the hero with a thousand faces influence. George Lucas and we see that guiding hand heavily in empire again to varying degrees the monmouth fitz aspects of each showers move. It also fits the arcs of each trilogy and indeed the entire Saga August so while you can work the entire empire plot into stages new if you're so inclined to do so the film also functions and really functions best as the continuation. Did you action the next installment of Luke's here's journey the continuation of the steps. He began to take after receiving the call to adventure in episode four with particular emphasis this year on meeting with a mentor. Therefore every system of theology there's an umbilical point and Achilles tendon and in which the finger of mother life has touched and where the possibility of perfect knowledge has been impaired. The problem of the hero is to Pierce himself and there with his world precisely safely through that point to shatter annihilate that key not of his limited existence. That's what empire strikes back is. And that's the task that awaits Luke Skywalker no longer a farm boy now. A crucial member of the rebel leadership three years of passed since the force and force ghost. Obi Wan Guided Luke to the destruction of the death. Star and quite a lot has happened. Is the battle of you have in which I will export later today in. The I temple is acting heroically emerging as a leader here at the base on Hof and for the entire rebel causing yet. We WanNA see luke learning to use his lightsaber not playing in the snow. With tontons as it's funny like watching it now with adult is and being like man should we like isn't there. Someone less crucial to the rebel alliance. That can go out there and do this. I have to send the chosen one like out on a Tonton go like stout the base and now this is of course part of the burden yes. Life doesn't wait for you and there's quite a lot of life unfolding at the moment with the Galactic civil war in full effect. The fate of the galaxy is at stake. Luke's task as commander is violence. I'm very like emotionally unavailable exactly exactly somebody who has a job like that both parties win way with the please elaborate home yeah so even when we broke up a year we are broken up the only people I ever dated Ed. We're like military people like I don't know I do not like like physical contact or like. I've just like not touchy. feely person like the further away is fine. Oh this is fascinating so I was like okay with it obviously like I've seen him only twice. I've flown down L. narrow since he's moved and he can't really leave since February at all yeah wait so Katie's t the same way when it comes to physical contact like nothing we didn't know his his I love languages fiscal contact and my last love languages physical contact so it's very much much harder on him. How do you say satisfied emotionally I. I think that's other thing like he needs a lot. I've had to work really really hard out like calling him every night because I can be like very like again like emotionally unavailable. I can go like I went on a work. Trip didn't call him for like six days days and he was like dying and I was like oh I should probably call. How do I get a little bit of what you have. Do you like take out. A couple of hair strands male ital- the latest magic. I like always been this way. I've just never been super like like dependent and I don't like I don't know if it came from like I just like up and moved away from literally everyone I knew like I didn't know had no friends no family in Phoenix at all and I just like left and so it had to really like send for myself. can I ask what kind of relationship your parents hat. Oh Yeah my parents. Here's all together. They've been together for thirty five years. Thirty five years linked together. They live together and they're like I. I don't know I am just like weird. They're still together. They're like very happy. What's Your I love language. Is it quality time or both wow but you don't spend that much quality time then right or clone and I guess how do you how do you define that. Yeah like over. The phone is fine but I don't need it like I don't know. I also don't feel like I need. I'm so like assured sound like talk all the time. What's your secret. I don't know like your relationship you like how have you guys gone this long without a lot of physical contact without you know. Maybe sometimes going six days without talking. I'm sure there's a lot of people in the country that have similar situations. There's just a first time I'm hearing of one like this personally yeah. When we are together like I have so I took two week long trips since constabulary and we really have to make the time of like while I am down there or when we are together like we knew we weren't gonNA live together for very long so we did a lot of stuff together while we were here and I know that sounds Super Cliche like is this signing like the first time like all the butterflies and exciting feelings when you see him as your vagina dance when he's on that is exactly what I wanted to say in. It's very fun and exciting. We I mean I sleep with sorry mom. We don't see each other like the outside a lot when we're like making the most of our time okay so I was GONNA ask why selling somebody who doesn't necessarily surly would have prioritized marriage. Why did you decide to get married. I so we actually so we're only twentieth. We just both turned twenty five so it was like kind of young crushing it at twenty five to be have that driving yeah keep doing that. That's awesome starting marketing. That's what I think is what I would do you can do. You know it's great. My job is great but I went to a Super Christian college and I feel like we joke about it now but I was like I sure like brainwashed into like getting married young. Yeah okay like all like my freshman. Year in college like four girls in my dorm got married okay contagious. Do you feel out of pure peer pressure but it sounds like you guys are like soul you definitely some lifelong partners. I think so I for sure like tried to pressure him when we were like back twenty now who girl hasn't been there and done me and if I had a dollar right and then I don't know it just like kind of fell into place than honestly I was like. I know like you're gonNA leave for training and like can can we do another like like year and a half apart so we're like well like so far. We both want it. You know like we both were so invested in each other and so a short of relationship that we're like we might as well just get married now. Do you have any intention on ever living in the same spot. Is that like a goal or is that like something that you're you're okay that you'll be okay without. Oh Yeah so we are moving to Ohio next month to start my business and he will join me after on what training okay which is next dog straight Yup Yup by in a blink okay. There is an end in sight. Is there something you're going to miss miss about living alone that I well. I am very messy and he's very clean so I do not enjoy loyd nagging unlike cooling but which is nice. I really like my own space like since all age. I've lived on my own for like four years before we got married. Own is great yeah so there's like. I'm ever going to say that I I. I don't enjoy that right. You're carve out. It's important Lawrence yourself like living alone. Never alone with Ashley down the street the question when you guys do together to because you love your space so much. Are you going to share a bed or do you think you'll have have your own room. We I'm sure we'll share a bad like we sleep in the same bed when I visit and stuff like that I don't think we've ever like not the same thing when we're together so I just WanNa say that before you got on. I was like this is the story on the most judgy about but now after learning about you it is it's it's just your thing and it's fine so he's not judging you any other girl to hear the story into know oh where they're coming from and what the intention is to go like what's working for now guys. Do you feel good. Pr People happy like and we can't come in with the judge in like you know. We all all do it every single one of us onto admitted before because I didn't want to think that I was above it because we all do totally. Do you have family or friends..

"Continuing discussions around sexuality day. We have one that Samantha, and I we came up with while we were having some drinks at a local. Every day every time. Yes. Spun from she's adult beverages, and or adult beverages. And it is daddy issues issues because we were talking about fetishes, and we were trying to come up with because we've felt like they weren't that many female fetishes in pop culture, right? Yeah, yeah. And somehow that turned into what about teddy. Right. I think we were just talking about some ideas, or some what you would say stereotypes for women, and especially when it comes to the sexuality, and their sexuality, or whatever, or her person of who is female. So that's one of those daddy issues comes up a lot. Yeah. I've seen it at a lot of men's columns admins magazines weird. Yes. When I was researching this most of the top results were like questionable race sites. Being Juku friend had issues. Show you tell did signs of that you need to get out, exactly when I say, daddy issues, what do you think of Samantha? So when I think, at that he issues, I'm actually just thinking in general, like people who are seeking their father's approval, essentially, and, or seeking a father figure because there was a lack of one or a lack of males in their lives. And I think that goes either way for males or females. I think it translates differently in each one when it comes to the stereotypes, I think of men meet being angry and resentful. And then I think of women as being insecure and needy and these are just the stereotypes once again. Oh, sure, yes. But that's what I think, of I think of strippers and I know that's terrible. I know it's terrible but I think it is a running joke. It is in a lot of pop culture that I have consumed that, you know, if you see the stripper, she's got daddy issue. You like her dad wasn't there? And that's why she became a stripper watching thirty rock. That was literally, one of the scenes between Tracy Morgan's character who loves going to strip clubs and one of the things this stripper is like L, you have daddy issues, or I think in the face. Character says something about. Yeah. You with all these daddy issues. These women blah, blah, blah, blah. Very yeah. Yeah filling in that. That's what the culture things. Yeah. And I feel like it was in. Kind, what is that? Called lamps shaded. I don't know if that's what it means when it's like played on people know that you think this, and then they kind of rivers, I feel like they did that independence. David has been a long time since I've seen that movie. Yes. Because will Smith's wife as strict? Oh, we did that. I think in new girl. Watch way to me. But they Nick, the new carrier dates stripper, who wants to be a stripper and takes on the fact that she's a stripper. But of course, he's plays the bad girl, you know, like a rebellious individual hard, girl. But yeah. Kind of flipped onto the fact that she's not doing it for ABC's. Right. This is her job, and she enjoys it, which you know what? Yeah. Boris. Yes. If it's done legally with consent go for it. Absolutely. When I do think about it a bit longer. I think I have a similar kind of come more on your track. I have used a phrase jokingly to refer to anyone who has a public problematic relationship with their father, and I often comes up again with DND the D And D bag world our entire everyone playing in our campaign has difficulties with their fathers, shall we say, absent fathers murderer father Slough? Slough next step. Yeah. Like where we'll father is everything good care to something going on with their dad. This might be a podcast idea for later on. But I was just recently thinking with all of the I guess, dramatizing and or romanticizing serial killers. Right. I wonder how this affects the women in the killers lives. You know what I mean? Like what happens to? How does it follow them? Do they have to like change identity? What happens to the children that are all, but like my talk about that issue right there? That's true. Or you know what I mean? But I think it is something we should start. Yeah. Podcast easter. My, my father is not a serial killer. I'm going to put that out there to know but I do have a problematic relationship with him. And I think that probably some men I dated have secretly thought to themselves daddy, right? That's not seal killer, children tone, Samantha, okay? I don't put that idea in my head because I will all be trying to sleep at night. And I'll be like where was I? Of this. I watched to any harm. Well, you know where the goes kind of comes down with people don't know this is true anyway. I. I won't be able to stop thinking about eight for me. Thank from my own relationships. I have a great relationship with my adoptive father. I don't have great. Relationships with men in general and trust. But I don't think I've ever thought been thought of as having daddy issues as much as being just a bitch. Is that daddy issues I think that it can be I think it can't be we'll get into some popular definitions in the second. It is in a lot of our pop culture. It's the name of a movie. There's so many for me. I don't think it was like two point. Name aband-, a Lana del Rey song, also pantley lawn. Delray has daddy issues herself, I don't know, Demi Lovato song, a once popular dance party in LA, the title of two thousand eleven episode of the vampire diaries, and I'm sure countless in count, so many other things, and it got me to thinking about this whole joke. That's really, really sad. When you to think about it for two seconds, but the whole thing of my dad left for cigarettes came back. And thirty rock. They have this whole somewhat racist therapy sessions. Based on this. Okay. Okay..

"Resting Kuma up has a new documentary out on Amazon prime available right now. Right. When we watch it now, we knew about it, because it was do it was it was running. I can't say this anymore. This word I was gonna say running train on all the circuits, but that you can't say that this this documentary just fucking its way around town making everybody. It's. That's right. Winning award winning awards audience. Got to see a screening of eight I say it was so well done. It's so beautiful the way also that you bring in, like animation. I mean it was so surprising. What was this thing originally? I mean, I know that this is about. At first glance deserts for your birth father, correct? Which you did not. No. You always thought you had of father and that you grew up with him. Correct. When I was fourteen my parents got in a horrible fight, and I defended my dad to my mom. And she said, why are you defending him? He's not Eero dad, which is a cool way for your and tell you school. And I took it really. Well, then what did you do handle emotions? My hormones were advanced. Going through menopause. That's right. Very this whole time. I've been on. So you've run to the man who raised you, you're good. You call him your father you. Yeah. Okay. So you run to your father, you get try to get confirmation on whether or not that's true. He tells you it is. Yes. Yes. And it really shook me to my core. And then soon after I was told that my birth father didn't want anything to do with me, because he was worried I would want child support. So then I was like, I don't want any of this anymore. This was a tale to you by your mother or just you just heard this throughout my I can't remember if it was a family friend, or my mom, I think it was a family friend because there was supposed to be a meeting with his his brother and like a cousin and I had spoken to his brother and it was the thing like we'll meet at the temple in a week or two weeks. And then that didn't happen that didn't happen. And then I got that feedback and your parents had this incredible story of your father. I mean they were escaping. Slough sloughs. They have to cross the Maycock to go to Thailand and neither able to swim. Right. My, my father was able to my mom not. So she she he pulled her across in a tire. Did you what that to me sounds like the ultimate tale of love? Yeah. And it really does it sounds like I don't know many American couples would have a bond like that. Yeah. What I mean you ask your friends that like how strong is your relationship, which you pull across the MAI, Cong attire. Let me give you let me respects at the river. Okay. It's not a creek, right? Okay. It undertow. Yeah, the mighty MRs Frank. Vergerski their lives really ESN and under do you could drown but also there could be soldiers soldiers. They're hiding you get shot. There's there were dead bodies in the river. There's you know it was a bad time. This post during the Vietnam war. There was a secret war in Laos, or the CIA use it as a sort of it was a proxy war. And they that's where the is our peak to Afghanistan. What happens if we just drop ship tone of shit, ton bombs, and not put boots on the ground and train a guerrilla fighters? A lot of them were among some Lau to, to do the fighting right on the ground. But then it's just for nine years, every nine minutes bombies coming down that are still embedded in the land right now shocking..

"Like, no one. She's a great shot, and she'll carry anything on our back a lot longer than you would ever think she could calculate Zell in Dana our daughter, Sean antelope this last year and in she just because she wanted to guys with her, but she had Slough sloughed the antelope on her backpack. Here is the whole thing. Just inspected upright three quarters of a mile on her back the whole animal. I mean, it was just purely off of well, I want to do more because, you know, ham antelope punts just there's yet more kind of social and then had a great stock and Superfund and then she's like well. Can I help like this thing out? And I was like all stuff that thing in your backpack for you. If you want to do and it was like the highlight of my hunting season. It was awesome. Like, her attitude, and she's Angie strike, she gonna stop and just the pack a couple of times and lifted up and gave her a break once or twice and she said, okay. Yeah. It was so cool whole really cool sixteen. Okay. Yep. She'd been fifteen then it was awesome. When you say a women's rifle. How's it? How's it actually different than than a? Yeah. I've been talking about guns a lot Brenda. Yeah. The Camilla ergonomically is different. So the stock itself is different so shorter length of poll. Slimmer grip onto full sorry. Length of poll. So this is I'm I'm gonna probably butcher link poll. I mean, just explain it. I guess so your arms are shorter most women's arms or shorter. And so a full length rifle feels really big and feels off balanced between the but stock on your shoulder and where your finger pulls the trigger. This is from the end of the stock to the trigger. Correct. Yeah. So when we're designing it we had five different women. They're all of different kind of stature 's and we took experienced hunters and guides and stuff. And so we basically took all of our measurements. And we tried to come up with something that would. You know, it's not a custom rifle because everyone would have a different length of pull. But it was, you know, similar so it would fit the personality even just the curves of it the shape of it. The women's neck is typically longer shake wells. We the actual cheek pieces different in the actual a pistol grip is is narrower to actually and in your distance not only the link to pull back from your shoulder, if you would out to the trigger, but also that grip the grip to trigger is a different dimension. So it's it's not just what a lot of people do for quote us or women as they just change the length of postal, they hacked the but back in the bud stark off everything else is a Saint everything else remains the same. But in our experience when women go to purchase things, they don't like to buy things made for men but slightly smaller. They like things to be shaped specifically fit or organically designed for them. And so we did that in packaged it in something that is done really well for us because we're just not a lot out there. And there are a lot of women like Brenda who are maybe newer things. And so. It's we found a lot of women to really identify with a lot of different ways. I think the biggest feature is the cheek weld. So it's set cheered cheek up higher. So you're not cranking your neck down, and that's been the biggest change at least for me. You know, a lot of times you're trying to find your way your scope picture, and it's just is really difficult. And so at scope alignment for new hunters sometimes difficult right during to actually get your is the hardest thing or take forever like. Like, what are you guys taking your kids on there? I like there's a big big year whatever, and they're like dot kassy's. Go. Yeah. I feel notably discuss it. But when you're Honey with the new hunter that's typically the problem, they're lifting their head up and down left. Really right there. And so that's that's the biggest I think most women would say that's the biggest feature that they like. So we have it in a lot of calibers..

"Isaac doesn't have a ton of memories about Jason beyond this because pretty soon after moving in Jason moved out without warning. I think I've gotten a job in a restaurant or something I came home one night, and he was just gone like some of his stuff was gone that usually would have been there like well. And then we really kind of figured out that he was for. Sure. Gone when we got a phone Bill, and there is a bunch of like nine hundred number calls to like Grateful Dead nine hundred numbers, which I didn't know is thing until then this is part of a mostly forgotten pre internet lore among Grateful Dead followers of which Jason was definitely one. There were hotlines. You could call one was one nine hundred run dead eighty nine cents per minute. Twenty different extensions. You could do everything from order tickets to check tour dates and here last night set list. Rumor had it that the operators voice was slowed down. So callers would end up spending more the numbers since been. Connected. Has been restricted or unavailable. Maybe like he took off to see some dead shows. He had I mean, he had referenced that that was part of the deal. He wanted to do all like you wanted to go, quote, unquote, follow the debt as much as you could in like the mid nineties that wasn't just a clue for Isaac and his housemates. It would become a clue for family members and read it sloughed sloughs as they searched and crowd sourced information over the next twenty years looking for Jason a nomad with a mixed up family past whose whereabouts were unknown. When was the next time. You heard about them. I guess it was a couple years ago. Now, I don't know if it was a year ago or two years ago. And one of the guys that lived in the house with this Steve had sent me a link with like composite like some sort of computer composite picture, and it was like doesn't this look like that guy? We're coming to you from Boston's NPR station. WB you off. Emory. Let's talk about the sub read the story came from which is also called grateful. Dow this suburb community was started by a few people. But one of the most active moderators is a user called gray. Metal say, my name's Leyla bets and twenty eight years old and living Queensland, Australia Leyla got into unsolved mysteries years ago, when she was just fourteen years old one particular unsolved mystery thousands of miles away in the US caught her attention. It was a car accident in Virginia nineteen ninety-five the driver and the passenger were both killed. The driver was identified. The passenger was unknown to the driver's family mail. No identification on the body. Why was the passenger called grateful? Doe. Two different rates. The first is that he had a concert Teixeira on full the band, the Grateful Dead hailstorm had in his pockets of his James to ticket stops for a recent Grateful Dead consent, which was held in me. You'll. Over the next ten years. Leyla read everything there was to read about this case, she became an expert and then in her mid twenties she posted about the case on read it in a community called unresolved mysteries. Hoping to find new leads in order to identify this person. The passenger in the car with the Grateful Dead tickets in his pocket. The post got a huge response enough attention. That Leyla helped start a sub read at dedicated to the specific case the grateful dose Hubbard I would spend maybe twelve hours a day working on the grateful guy case I vividly remember going to a concert one night till ten o'clock at night. I came home had a shell. And then spent another five to six hours on the sub Reddit. I was absolutely obsessed with not. Only this case. But also the community that we started to grow it. It started to become almost like a little family, and we were so supportive of one. Another grateful. Dough groups started popping up all over the internet on Facebook and on site called web sleuths, but the larger grateful dough community extended far beyond internet crime solving hobbyists to actual law enforcement and some people in between one of those inbetween is Todd Matthews. He's a guy who turns out knows a little bit about internet crime solving that is a long and complicated story, but my father-in-law found a body of a woman in nineteen sixty eight before I was even born a heard about the case in nineteen eighty seven seventeen euro, and she was known as tank girl because she has wrapped in a canvas tent rapper after ten years of marriage, and the discovery of the internet. I've put a case file online for her. Her pretty much be on the look out for a Jane Doe. Did find a family that was looking for a sister contacted them, and it was her and I became the first person to use the internet to solve a homicide.

"That's really get breaking news behind the scenes, photos and more. You can also follow us on Facebook and Instagram bed. Boyd is executive producer of the program. You gotta watch the jets. They got a good young team. You gotta watch him. And you gotta watch Nashville. And why hasn't smart? Whoever wins out of those two. I'll pick the winning your wife is a smart woman. I just heard that in the background. Yeah. Smart woman. I've been married to for forty two years. Gonna tell you about my romance, man. Mike Anderson is my and you better talk to Mark Andrei flory because he's a hell of a goalie. Bruce is here in the game like studio. He does pretty Bruce, Bruce. It is the Dave Sinclair Lincoln Ford sports open line. All right. A ruling on this. Mike anderson. Need a ruling on this? Got a text message Saturday morning. At about nine AM. And I had a great. A great weekend on Friday. I was not here. Alex, rory. O thankfully stepped in to handle the blues and the sharks. I had a couple of play by play gigs on Friday. And this. This must have been how Joe buck felt. In San Francisco. When he pulled the double header couple years ago. You know, he called. In NFL game. San Francisco forty Niners in the New York Giants. And then he took the trolley whatever and called game one of the NFL between the giants and the cardinals. So I I did a similar thing on Friday. I did play by play for the Missouri. State high school boys, swimming and diving championships followed by Maryville university basketball. Did you get to pick three stars at the swim? Meet. I did. Any shoutouts UV off to watch the stream. Yeah. But shout out to Slough Slough high. They won the two thousand eighteen Missouri class two swimming, diving championships, but not seriousness kind of a rival mine. I did Maryville hoops, which was a lot of fun. They've got a lot of talented that Friday and Saturday. So anyway, I wasn't here. And I wasn't at the blues game Friday night. But we have talked with Joey vitality about as affinity for Christmas and his affinity for the Christmas holiday. Saturday is November the tenth. So we are a comfortable forty five days away from Christmas six plus weeks month and a half get a text Saturday morning to myself and curbs. It's a picture from Joey of the vitality. Household and it looks like it's Christmas even. The stockings are up the decorations are at at full mast. They're ready to go. And I know that it's often a debate when you begin to put your Christmas decorations and your Christmas lights up. And I am someone who says Thanksgiving Day after thanksgiving. Maybe it's because usually the day after thanksgiving that Friday, Saturday, my dad, and I will go and go to tree place and pick out a tree hash tag team real tree. But this is like this dude is. It looks it looks like a winter wonderland in his house, and he said he loves Christmas so much that it's first of all a slow rollout. There is a lot more to come. But also, he just he just enjoys it. So he wants to decorations up. I thought initially as a kid and Joe got young wonderful kids. They're hanging out in the booth yesterday. As a kid, this would've been torture. Because every day. I would just be asking. Is it Christmas is a Christmas Christmas? Dude for six weeks away. He says though, it's great more time to celebrate. Maybe more incentive to keep the kids on their best behavior. You dangle a little carrot in front of them genius. Idiotic. Maybe he just likes torturing his kids. Just loves Christmas wants as much Christmas as possible. But I say you gotta give every holiday. They're just do this to me. This is thanksgiving season, man. This let thanksgiving until next late Thursday night. You're passed out on the couch after eating too much. Maybe that's when you pop on home alone or a Christmas story for the first time. Next Friday, go out start your shopping, get your tree put your lights up. This is this is thanksgiving time to shine. So I'm gonna I'm gonna mildly disagree with you here. I think one of the thanksgiving is it's so easy going, and it doesn't get a Fender love about it. If you override what do you want the stress of Christmas before I want to enjoy thanksgiving, then I'll turn my attention to Christmas. And guess what? We'll get a solid monce. I guess you could do that. But I think some people have for Christmas, the they just can't wait much longer. I think it's let me put it this way. So the family comes over to my parents house next Thursday, we do something on Wednesday night to the night before every year. I think it would be weird. If I walked into someone's house for thanksgiving. On Thursday, ready to eat ready to watch football, and there were Christmas decorations up. Yeah. I would find that really weird that would be a little strain that to me is kind of benchmark. I would assume the vitality is don't host family. Thanks. I don't know. I got a text. Do you think that changes things I need to text right now, you can sprinkle some turkeys around and your Christmas decor, and then take them down after after thanksgiving? But I don't know. I'm kind of in agreement with Joey I I I'm not gonna lie. I put my fishes Christmas tree in their tank at the beginning of October. Okay. But what I'm saying what I'm saying is if you go to someone's house for thanksgiving their Christmas decorations up isn't that weird? Also, my mom likes to decorate for thanksgiving. Cornucopia is in the Browns and reds and oranges and yellows Turkey candles. Yep. It's the holiday that matches her house best for sure and you likes to do an important question. Do you host thanksgiving? Okay. We'll sud- juice. I would think it would also add stress on the parents, though, because you know, your your kids are going to be looking for the hidden presence that much longer to well, but Santa doesn't bring them until Christmas Eve. Yeah. But those honorary kids still are ignorant to that fact, and they'll still look around, you know, kids these days, they're so skeptical. They can stand my business. Yeah. I just. Just do it after thanksgiving. I don't need frosty. The snowman while I'm enjoying the bears beating the hell out of the lions a week for an amount which by the way. This goes to the idiocy of the NFL the bears have to play Sunday night. And then after play eleven AM on thanksgiving. How is that safe? You're playing what ninety hours later cash the NFL's. How's it safe for people's eyes to watch tonight's Monday night game? It's brutal to I mean, you've you've had players they'll come out saying that having to play Sunday and then having to play the Thursday night game is already unsafe enough. If you have to play Sunday night when your body takes that kind of beating and then Monday, Tuesday Wednesday and then Thursday at eleven A m you have to play that has to be the quickest turnaround. I wonder if there's ever been an NFL team that has played Sunday night. And then Detroit always hosts the eleven AM thanksgiving game. And then his head to play on Thursday morning. That's ridiculous. But joy, vitality, fair or foul. Oh, he hosts thanksgiving. Now, see that changes things for me. You need some turkeys around that house. Joey. Gosh..

But he's not a Slough Slough slouch. But the Rams had literally more. I mean does like they had more. But if Carla Shiv Todd Gurley is not getting off the Rams gonna struggle if he's not seen that yet the season. He hasn't number four against the run has he hasn't struggled. If for some reason he runs into a bus all they're going to struggle. Sure. Because. For him for Jared golf to be good and do all these. He needs guy behind him to be efficient in in New Orleans. Got your back. He got you. The man would not be the worst thing in the world for the Rams to have a couple of games where they have to get through a struggle. Like, they would not be the worst with that. In fact, I'm a huge proponent. No. You're not of taking ELS. Well, one only one team has been has managed to go through the entire season without taking one right? So it's not like. It's not like I'm teams have done it. Well, I mean ended his season they ended and then it goes into the play in the postseason with that L. The biggest game of the games. Now, they did the reboot that ELS happen. When you take an now, you regroup you go. Okay. We not where we thought we were you get you get the feel bad. You get to be exposed and address things. So that that L that is eventually going to come doesn't come in the postseason comes in a regular season where you can address it recover. Yeah. You're gonna lose. So I don't I don't mind Mississippi taking the L. I just wish that the Elden against this team is actually because vision because. What it means? Even though the saints, even if they were to miraculously beat the Rams there any of the season with Carolina Steelers and then Carolina. So chances are they're gonna get some more elephants sales. Yeah. It's all a matter of trying to get home field throughout the whole thing. And how you're gonna end up jocking up against each other this weekend. Saturday Lakers have a big. "How do you shift your focus from one. In person when you're used to getting it all the time, anytime you want from multiples, will I miss things about being a free woman, like being able to flirt with anyone I want when I go out, please help Imus loot and I don't know how to not be all my love a day one Cruella DeVille. That's right. And it's loot to boot. I would never call her sloughed. I was just reading that Email. Of course, I would never Sloot sham anybody either. It's for me not to Slough Slough shame, but I had to read it as as scripted. So you empathize with their dilemma. Right? Especially as a twenty two year old. Yeah. When you're twenty two and you can get it all the time, it is fun. But at the same time you can't lie to your heart. So if she's catching feelings, I don't think it's bad to see them through. It's only bad to not listen to your heart. Yeah, she's like this guy is clinging needy, and I feel like I wanna take care of him even though I wanna see other people, but I feel too bad telling him, yeah, then it's like no, go out and like fuck as many people as you want, but she's like accidents like somebody. That's okay somebody. Yeah, you can like somebody, but I fear that she'll want her cake and eat it too. She'll want the relationship and the flirting, she'll she'll never wanna stop flirting with people and. Sometimes that flirting comes into other things, and then it's like, oh, how do I have a relationship and the flirting sexy, happy time flirting? I think flirting is just like some people's nature. It's my nature. I still flirt with people. Yeah, I can't even help myself. I'm floating with right now. You coy definitely. Talking about other giggle, funny fun. How'd you like me to tickle your own off me? Oh, oh. It's legal. Yeah, I think it's, I think it's okay to like somebody's. You can like it's just you can see where it goes and you don't have to write it off before hand because you don't trust yourself to be a good girlfriend. Yeah, you're allowed to see if your girlfriend and that's fine too. And if you decide that you're not, then you can break up with somebody but don't have it both ways yet a lot of people like self sabotage before they see what they're made of, you know, why do they do that? I don't know. Maybe because it might be because they don't trust themselves because they're insecure or maybe maybe it's because they actually do know themselves really well, everybody's so different eight that about if they were all just the same everyone would get along with, and then we wouldn't have an advice show because we would have given one episode of advice and everybody would kind of get it. It'd be cool. It's a utopian future six billion people, but they're all the same. That's utopian to you because you are a robot. Yeah, that's right. And everyone would, I guess, be made in my image loops. So utopian future where your God and you have everybody under your control. And we're just. It's fine because everyone's a twin and everyone's a clone in everyone's alone and everyone's a win that actually does sound pretty solid, really future were I don't care if you're God is long as I'm getting sucked in daily. Well, it wouldn't be you. It would be your brain in my body. It would be like that last page in that WALDO book where everyone's WALDO, and he's the one without the shoe. So you're heaven. Your ideal future is where your God, everyone looks like you. They're all fucking. When you say like not even like you fucking a lot of people know you fucking and sucking a lot of yourself, but everybody's still them. Everyone would be sort of a gay version of me, which I think is the perfect person because you got my looks my attitude, but then your little bit gay. And you're fucking come in for. So you walk down the street and it's a lemon party over here, and it's a sixty nine on the side of the road.

"Weighing. Big, come out. Yeah, early eighties, maybe definitely. That was like when I came to FAO Schwarz to dance on that Pano that would have been like mid eighties. Yeah, I'm sorry. What do you know in that movie? He liked he dances on a huge piano sixteen for big. Yeah. Yeah. Then at Schwartz they did that all the kids would line up. Yeah, it was really hard to get on it, but I got on look, it's no burning man, but you could dance on piano. Okay. Okay. Now, I know you down on burning man, but imagine that all you do is dance on giant pianos. That's yeah, it's just like an adult playground where you find your soul mates and you stick things up your butt and. I down on it. I think Jen might really like it. We'll find out on the next to what was the show. We came up with psychic, exclude CBS. No, we're gonna find out and fifty one weeks when you go to Bernie men. Okay. There should be a children's show called the sleuth sloth. I would be. Oh my God. You're on two percent. Correct? Very slowly. And a door ably usually pitch that. That's a great idea. You heard it here guys, you heard it here. All of you should pitch it. Yeah, everybody knows. Yeah. Why are you telling them to pitch in this? Is your idea the south? So no one gets the idea to work. Don't you try to take my Slough Slough right? Should we talk to our guest about dragon Dick's speaking of sleuth slots. I wonder fuel can fuck sloth dick on bad dragon. Oh my God alley. It'd be a slow. Fuck. Okay. Sorry. All right, everybody it is time you've been asking for this for a long time. It is officially that moment. We're excited to have on the line, Derek young administrative manager with bad dragon, welcome Derrick. How's it going? Good. How are you? Doing? Great link. All right. We've so many things so many things, but before we get to far field, what isn't administrative manager, what do you do with bad dragon? Part of the job responsibility is I speak on behalf so bad dragon, soy conduct like interviews such as this podcasts and represent bedrock knows a whole, but also in my office time, I handle a lot of things with marketing as well as our social media. So things such as Twitter, Instagram, an even the Arcus service Asians, and I handle a lot of policies and procedures with our general manager, Mike Sullivan over your bedroom. Great. Can you take us back and tell us what is bad. Wagon and how to get started. So bedrock is a fancy toy company based in Phoenix, Arizona. It's a sort of the creation of our, our Vega's, the creation of one of our owners and our CEO. John Mulder's also known as Farka fantasy toys. They can mean so many things to different people, but what they really relate to his any kind of personal fancy might have had a aided by mythology, history of videos, media, all good. Jess, how the company started was back in Scotland, win yon, a was in storms goods. Sex preneurs begin in their term Roy's to sex partner. Just happen to pretend like that. Okay, grind. Never heard that weren't allowed. Okay. Thank you. She she coined. It's hang dorm room as all those young Nelson dorm room, and he was like, he wanted to, he's an engineer by heart us. We want to create something that like he couldn't find. And he Xining created a dragon, a dildo based off just like a fantasy that he had of like, you know, hey, imperious. Like, what would this actually look like? He showed it off to friends of his in close acquaintances, and they said that it was really, really cool and like they never even like actually make something like it back. What was the impetus for like, you know what? I'm gonna make a dragon bit. Like what happened more information. Not in your dorm reading content and you're like dragging dick, you know what I mean? Like what's not. Fired by specific story or something. Yeah. So this actually is a perfect segue. So the company was founded in a community called furry. It's a community based on individuals like art stories and characters, and a part of what you can have is your own personal persona of a character yawns or Varga as his online handle is is a dragon for his. She thing there and also please refer to it with the correct terminology. I Sony it's up Assocaited. Two girls one cast is furry. We know what's up and listeners goalless nips at one. If you need a little refresher. That's awesome. Persona was a dragon, although that's really not very furry. Absolutely right. Then that's the thing is like it's any kind of anthropomorphic. Character doesn't have to be something that's like fuzzy necessarily. It can be anything anthropomorphized. Can people completely customize what they would like. It can't be totally based on their own fantasy or does it always have to be based on fiction that's already written and out there. So we on the website of characters that we've designed some also community designed as well that you can purchase either like dildo, masturbaters sleeve on even wearable. Currently, you can't completely customize the toy itself regarding the actual thickness or the girth or like the the like entire dimensions of the soy, except for like, you know, the sizes that we offer, but what you can do customers coloration. And we have probably one of the best custom color rations on the market currently for, especially for fans toys out the right now. But
