"<Speech_Male> And I think <Speech_Male> that <Speech_Male> everyone <Speech_Male> or <Speech_Male> everyone has a lane. <Speech_Male> <Speech_Male> But ultimately, <Speech_Male> the code <Speech_Male> has to be in charge, <Speech_Male> because all those <Speech_Male> lanes impact the match. <Speech_Male> And <Speech_Male> none of us make money if we <Speech_Male> don't win this match. <Speech_Male> And so I think <Speech_Male> that if I <Speech_Male> did it again, <Speech_Male> it would be <Speech_Male> with a team <Speech_Male> that understood <Speech_Male> <Speech_Male> that at the end of <Speech_Male> the day, when it matches <Speech_Male> has to be the priority. <Speech_Male> And I think <Speech_Male> our team I was understood <Speech_Male> that. But I don't <Speech_Male> think a lot of people understand <Speech_Male> that. Yes, <Speech_Male> that needs to happen, <Speech_Male> but it can happen right now. <Speech_Male> Yes. <Speech_Male> So that's the biggest <Speech_Male> challenge. And I <Speech_Male> think that that's <Speech_Male> one of the reasons why you see a lot of <Speech_Male> great players never <Speech_Male> win. <Speech_Male> Is because <Speech_Male> there's not <SpeakerChange> a lot <Speech_Male> enough control <Speech_Male> in the right <Speech_Female> places. <Speech_Male> I would agree. <Speech_Male> So that's what <Speech_Female> I will notice. <Speech_Female> <Advertisement> Yeah, see? <SpeakerChange> Such a <Speech_Male> <Advertisement> teaching moment. Love <Speech_Female> <Advertisement> it. Okay. <Speech_Female> <Advertisement> Well, thank you <Speech_Male> <Advertisement> Sloan. Thanks. <Speech_Music_Male> Thanks for having me. This <Speech_Male> is how many times have you <Speech_Female> had pot bellies? <SpeakerChange> <Speech_Female> I haven't had pot belly <Speech_Female> one time since I was <Speech_Female> here. Kamau <Speech_Female> kickstarted <Speech_Female> my weight <Speech_Female> loss journey last year <Speech_Female> and I lost 45 <Speech_Female> pounds, and I'm <Speech_Female> keeping it that way. <Speech_Female> So instead of eating <Speech_Female> pot belly, I invested <Speech_Female> in potbelly. And <Speech_Female> I don't eat there. <Speech_Female> I would probably <Speech_Female> eat there before I leave here <Speech_Female> because it's the only time I can <Speech_Female> eat it in the Midwest. <Speech_Female> But <Speech_Female> I haven't had <Speech_Female> any since <SpeakerChange> I've been here. <Speech_Female> I had RPM <Speech_Male> seafood last night, which was <Speech_Female> really good. So proud <Speech_Female> of you. <SpeakerChange> Yes. <Speech_Male> I'm healthy now. <Speech_Male> Well, thank you <Speech_Male> for coming on the show. I wish <Speech_Male> you luck. I always root <Speech_Male> for you. <Speech_Male> Thanks. I always <Speech_Male> <Speech_Male> want you to win. <Speech_Male> Thanks. <Speech_Male> Always be <Speech_Male> like, <SpeakerChange> why'd <Speech_Female> you do that? That's the <Speech_Female> wrong place to hit that <Speech_Female> ball. You guys just wait. He's going <Speech_Music_Female> to try to sneak his way back <Speech_Music_Female> onto my team. So <Speech_Music_Female> this wasteland. I'm <Speech_Male> sure. <SpeakerChange> He wants to coach <Speech_Male> a girl. I know you guys heard <Speech_Male> that. I can tell you <Speech_Male> from afar. Yeah, <Speech_Male> it just texts me what to <Speech_Male> do. Exactly. <Speech_Male> And I'm like, <Speech_Male> Sloan, you know that Bosch <Speech_Male> in the winter. And <Speech_Music_Male> that one point right there <Speech_Music_Male> about to cost you this match. <Speech_Male> Don't say that. <Speech_Male> That's terrible. I mean, <Speech_Male> in the past, <Speech_Male> not future. Okay, okay. <Speech_Male> Okay. Thank <Speech_Male> you for coming on the show. <Speech_Male> It's been fun. <Speech_Male> I would <Speech_Male> have to do it again. We <Speech_Female> have more time. <Speech_Male> <SpeakerChange> I'm <Speech_Male> available. <Speech_Male> <Speech_Male> This is a tennis back <Speech_Male> town podcast. We <Speech_Male> have just had the privilege <Speech_Male> of being with <Speech_Male> the biggest personality <Speech_Male> on tour. <Speech_Male> Sloane <Speech_Male> Stephens, 2017 <Speech_Male> U.S. open champion, <Speech_Male> 2018 <Speech_Male> <Speech_Male> French Open champion <Speech_Male> 2018. <Speech_Male> <Speech_Male> <Speech_Male> Got that part <Speech_Male> out. <Speech_Male> You know what? <Speech_Male> We <Speech_Male> almost won. I should <Speech_Male> have won. You should have mine. <Speech_Male> I shouldn't <SpeakerChange> do zero. <Speech_Female> But you know what? <Speech_Female> I was <Speech_Female> about to maybe I wouldn't <Speech_Music_Female> next year. It'll be good. And <Speech_Music_Male> then I'll be able to smoke it into <Speech_Music_Female> existence. Yes. <Speech_Music_Female> <Advertisement> 2022. <Speech_Music_Male> <Advertisement> <Speech_Music_Male> <Advertisement> <Speech_Music_Male> <Advertisement> And then as <Speech_Music_Female> <Advertisement> slowly <SpeakerChange> slipped <Speech_Music_Female> <Advertisement> out of my hands, <Speech_Music_Female> <Advertisement> but at least <Speech_Music_Female> <Advertisement> his daughter will <SpeakerChange> be able to go to <Speech_Music_Male> <Advertisement> college and his <Speech_Music_Male> <Advertisement> two sons. <Speech_Music_Male> <Advertisement> <SpeakerChange> Off that. <Speech_Music_Female> <Advertisement> <Laughter> <Advertisement> <Speech_Music_Female> <Advertisement> <Speech_Music_Female> <Advertisement> Thank you for having me. <Music> <Advertisement> Thank you, man.

"Definitely hotel. Team dinner or eat solo. I think it depends on the week, but most of the time I kind of try to do a few team dinners and then a few just in my room nights because I don't want to be bothered. You're on your own for that. Yeah, you're on your own. Don't go over here for DM 'cause you're not getting the money back. And I think that's kind of helps create because you're traveling so much at kind of like eases attention of having to be with your team every day, which is annoying. So it's nice. Roof open a closed. Like on the quarter in the car. I'm transport fans. It's not got no room. It's really don't. Okay, so on the core, I would say honestly now, I would say open because it's just so loud when it's closed. Especially like U.S. open. It's very loud when it's closed. All right, Wimbledon, court three or court 18. Court 18. That's the best court. That's the little small side court, right? Yeah. Breakfast at Wimbledon, breakfast at Asia. Well, the food is better in Asia. I mean, but I would rather be at Wimbledon. So I ask that question, no one likes that agent. I'm like, are y'all? Yeah. No, the food is better. The breakfast in Asia is like the best thing about Asia. That's the only way you can stay alive in Asia is the breakfast. And then yeah, I mean, I guess, yeah, that's struggling. Yeah, like, yeah, exactly. Over eat at breakfast and struggle with the rest of the day. Yeah, no, seriously, and then you just wait for breakfast in this morning. Okay, on the airplane. Sit together or separate. Well, when you're traveling with kamau, you need to sit separate because he will be drooling on you, sleeping on you, snoring on you. Definitely separate. And I have so many videos to prove that..

"Yeah, I was talking to Bianca and she was like, oh, I don't even want to talk about 2020. Next year is like, yeah, it's brutal. It's brutal. Yeah. So imagine came on the other side of it and now you're like, the elder statesman, player counsel, somebody that looks to that people look up to, and the voice. How many times you look back at some of the young players and they're like, you know, swagging out and doing all this other stuff and you'd be like, keep living. Remember Thomas? Yeah. So Thomas, I mean, it's famous sayings. He's every time he would do something. I would criticize somebody. Keep living youngster. Keep moving. How many times do you look back at the tour now with players who have instant success? And maybe aren't clear on how far away fourth round is from a final. You got to sim these of Australian open and 13? And didn't get to another final in 17. And you look at people who losing the third fourth round, like, oh, she's close. I was like, not quite. Yeah, I honestly think a lot of people have unrealistic expectations for tennis players and their success. I feel like a lot of people think, oh she's hot right now..

"My favorite people, always my favorite tennis player. Sloane, Stevens. Welcome to the show. Thank you for having me. I'm excited. You weren't excited. You got like 5 things you want to say to me to try to make this hard for me, don't you? No, not at all. I didn't really want to come, but I'm excited to be here. You don't want to come? Well, I thought this was a video interview now it's a podcast. I'm even more nervous. Sloan. I don't do podcasts. You know, I don't do podcasts. You know what's funny? So I knew you were gonna try to get out of it. And so I was gonna say, if she doesn't do it, she gonna play first. And I would have been here been waking up at first of all, can we talk about how you don't have any likes and that you're making these girls started 9 a.m.? Oh my God, come on, seriously. Was it my decision? 9 a.m.? Oh, you tell him. No. I was like, it's okay. He already said I was playing Ford, so it's okay. I'm good. You know, I'm sleeping any of them. Yeah, me too. And it's like, what?.

"Camera goes off, you're gonna tell me how those two are. I can give you the type of player. Okay. Okay. So what I don't like is someone that on their day is just what can I do? You know? That's just going to blow me off the court. Big serve. Okay, here I played Pliskova now in U.S. open and I don't know how many aces she hit. I had no looks in the whole match. And then you get nervous on your serve one, two breaks, and it's gone. And I hate matches like that where it's just kind of taken away from you because they're on. So probably just gave it away. But to be fair, she's not my favorite, but I do want to play it more and more just to figure it out. You like the third person over time that interview does that play? Like that just, you know, did it start? But you got a booth hang. Who got a big serve? So, you know, you could simulate that kind of pressure playing practice sets against them. You know what? Don't let me break you. And then put the pressure on me. I can't even practice my returns with him because my arm literally hurts. If I even know where it's going, I may contact and it's just so different. Yeah, so he hits the ball so hard. He does look good. He hits it so big that sometimes it's not fun. But we're so competitive with each other. I go out there thinking I should win two 11 without a serve. And I don't. Well, if you're definitely being a backhand backhand cross court games. 100%. But I got to take away the slice, you know? I got to take it away. So he's like one leg backhand. And then I went. I mean, he doesn't want to see that. Just take away the slice. Tell me you can't run around it. That's what we do. And that's when, you know, I also get him on a day when he's a little mentally fragile, the Italian drama kicks in. And then I got it. So do you know how to push those buttons? I mean, see, I'm hearing, you know, I'm here with my wife and I was like, you know, when I'm mentally fragile, I was going to come in and ask me for something. He knows how to press mine way better than I know because he doesn't have as many. I have more buttons. But yeah, it's just I'm not the type. I'm just about the game. I'm not about this trash talk. So when he starts it, he will win that he'll win a match like that. So I try to keep it away from that. Yeah, just tennis. So last question. Croatian. Via Australia or playing for the Australian national team living in Florida. Tell me about your tennis journey. How did you end up all these different places? So I actually lived four years in Switzerland that you didn't know when I was a kid. That was a baby. And then we moved back to Croatia and I was just a kid that loved tennis. So I would like even when I was going to regular school, I would wake up early like 6 due practices before, and then after as well..

"On tour, hands down. That's a victory. Forever. Come on, this is like four years ago. I told you that four years ago. I told you. That's true. You did say that. I did say that? Well, I was like, you have to get the best banking on tour. We're still gonna try to beat you, but make sure you don't hit a backhand at all the whole match, 'cause if you do, it's like done, lights out. I know. The longer I'm on tour, the less back ends I'm hitting. Yeah. At least we know people are paying attention. Yeah. So last time we were together was in Australia the day after your big match against halleck. I remember you were saying, oh my God, my dad went to the wrong court and they wouldn't let him in and I tell us about that day. That day was just it started out great. I was relaxed. I was playing not before 7 at 7 on Margaret court. And I had my coach with me there. We were not working together anymore, not because of that. And my dad was there and for the first three games, they weren't there because they went to Arthur Ashe instead of Margaret court. Long story short, I thought something happened to them because it was like a good 30 minutes that I haven't seen them. So after we found it funny, actually it was the first time I left when they told me the story when we were in the car back to the hotel but that was a heartbreaker. To this day, that match and the one I lost to Sloan, like maybe 6, 7 years ago, also being up 5 three and a third. I don't know something about Australian Margaret court. We need to get on the same wavelength. Well, everybody's on the wrong way of them if your dad was up there. But you know, it's confusing because labor. Don't even. I mean, but the thing is they were on ash sitting waiting for me. And then Osaka walks out and they're like, oh my gosh, they changed the schedule. If you're sitting on Arthur Ashe, she'd be like, okay, I'm a Nash. I'm not sorry, not ash labor. Labor. I'm like, I'm not. When they were on court, just looking at the stadium. I know. It's confusing because it's the same walkway. And you go right to labor, you go, no, right to market court. It's left to labor. No. You need to take the elevator for labor. And then you go through for the stairs for a bargain. So you players know the secret way, but even as a coach, they don't let you go up that elevator so then you end up having to go outside up the stairs and you're like, okay, now I'm like running because you're already warming up. And we know how crazy you all get. See this? We know how crazy you all get. If we're not in our seats, right when the match starts, sitting in the right seat. I don't like when you use the word crazy. Oh, I'm just like, it's passionate. Annoyed. Look at that. Better. And in my mind, I'm thinking, you should be focused on the ball. Okay, but I give like I was watching a match, the day before because Mattel was playing. So I was a spectator that day before, and I found it on time. So no excuses. So how did you feel spectating? Because you always think like, you didn't do nothing. You just sat there and watched. And I'm like, it's actually more stressful because we mentally know what should be happening, but we can't take the racket out of your hand and make it happen. We want you to do the opposite of what we told you to do..

"So what's the one thing that you travel with that you just that you have to have with, you no matter what country you're going to, there's one article of clothing, parachutes, hoodie, you're like, that you always have to take with you. I would say the most consistent one is now would be a leather jacket. That's just one thing that I always kind of kept with me. It's one of my favorite things that I can wear it with the sports sportswear and I could wear it with a streetwear. So it's like one thing that kind of fits it all and super classic it's super simple. So yeah, that one. And then the last question. You are obviously a people a person that people have nightmares about playing. It all comes out. Please, when you were not ranked high and not seated when I please, please hurry up and get seated. So who's the one player on tour? Not that you never beat him, but they just sort of give you a hard time or a tricky to play. Who's the one player that before the draw comes out? You're like, eh, don't wanna play her. I wouldn't say that there's one player like that. But I think right now it's a bit sometimes you don't know which player is going to show up, you know, because you have some young players and some players who can play lights out and there is no consistency. So I think that that point sometimes you're like, I mean, I felt pretty good going into the match and then you feel like you play against another player and then sometimes you watch them again and you're like, I didn't see you missing those shots whenever I think to me. So I would say right now that and there's a lot of young players that come now with switching the generation that happens a lot. So.

"French braid, the bandana, maybe a clip every now and then to keep your hair out of your face. That's like infamous. Back when you had your Australian open run, it was like the girl with the French brave. That's when I first was like, who's the girl with the French braid? Yeah. Who's like, moving forward, all on top of the baseline. I was like, she got a backup. She's like on top of everything. All the baseline. Yeah. And then now that's like a whole style. Yeah. I feel like I feel like there's a lot of things that especially for me, someone from Belarus to kind of that there is no market for us. Pretty much, you know, and the country is not very well known. And so I was kind of a pioneer that way to make it to make it as a famous in U.S. and have contracts in the U.S., which is not that easy. So I always thought that I've always been authentic, that's just who I am, but I thought that, oh, bringing some things. People followed. I started wearing shorts, not that I'm the first one to ever wear shorts, but it wasn't coming so far. And I was inspired by Anna Kournikova, you know, that famous Australian out. I was like, I want to play in shorts. Now you see more shorts. I wanted to wear a bandana for Mary pierce, you know, from years ago, so I get inspired by other people, but I wanted to kind of bring it back with my own flair. And I think that was pretty cool. I always stand out with some little things from others. You know, one of the things that stand out when I first started training in California, I saw you with your G wagon. I was like, oh, that's being a G wagon. There's so much about your personality, just like rugged. But classic and, you know, sort of, unique one of a kind, right?.

She could be on for five or six so yeah that would be impressive. Say but i'm yeah. Look out that and Well there is actually a bit more before we finish. Joe because although it's very much right and garros we've got the star of the girl season happening like as we speak about tomorrow technically today rather not thing. Yeah we've nottingham. Nottingham in stuttgart stuttgart starts on tuesday. I have i'm really fascinated. See the joy out yet. Imagine there's been a lot of Withdraw rules and what no. I'm sort of curious. That draw looks like it was a grad is guy gone for the men but we do have the w. two fifty event in nottingham. Joe concer is the top seed Alison risk is the second see. Donovan catches their So yeah it's i mean it's an interesting. It's an interesting one because as the counter top seed. You would hope that she would be able to potentially do you. Well here You know there's a lot of as you can imagine. There's not a lot of big big names as it's definitely some players in there who you would say kind of strong cross risk in in vacuum which By really think the in from a content perspective. This is know this really now is the opportunity to to really kind of rejuvenate and kick start her season. She's a decent. Draw you to get the quarters for sure. But my eyes are on allison risk at the bottom of the draw. Thank you know. She has such a girl scout specialist. Lauren davis as well decent gross. I a plays radiates be very hard to predict this wadden. I see emirati cardi doll in the first round so all british in counter and it will be interesting to see how the likes of katie boulter. Get on francesca jones yet as a braids in action and it will be so nice to have girls schools back you know. We had zero girls action loss. Gsa it'll be delightful. Have it on again and got the challenger as well for the men Happening at the same time anti murray is not their most nature play But we do have data evans as the top seed for that one. Yeah and and francis. Oh so there's definitely plays there who wouldn't necessarily be playing on the challenge tour but want to start the season and get matches in potentially get a competitive advantage over those players who are still left. "I mean method could become the world number one if he does get to the final and if novak doesn't so would be quite senior day re re realistic prospects need to be the top eight wimbledon that we will the outages put federal top seed for lows. Can't that djokovic anyway. Sits pass also came through against the another big. Having a tool. American in johnny's gonna like using earlier. I think yeah isn't got first set seven five but his his first serve did go off the boil a little little either. He wasn't able to perform to the same extent on his serve as he did in the first set and i think it's pass was able to take advantage of that and see was just reading the by as much where nolan that four sacks warden join stood kind of checks out i think by then it was fat looking like a very foregone conclusion at that point yet definitely and we also had alejandro davidovich. F- akina come through against casper route. Which would have been very nice because it was on his the day before his twenty second birthday a really walled right in that match with fakih know winning seven six two six seven six love. Six seven follow if he threw in an underarm serve as well or breakpoint doubted that fifth set to win it. four hours. thirty five minutes. I mean it was a it was a match. the was just. It was a bunk as match. It was It really was. I think what you just have to be that to witness. And i think we know david deputy rich bikini player who. He's be a personality about him. he's i think so of alexander lick sort of mode of of tennis. But he's ready ready to wow this woman and you know to beat rude who has had a very very good clay season. He will be very very You know he will be very very happy with with how it's how it's gone over the first week yeah. I was a bit in their life. Because i had casper read reaching the quarterfinals in my predictions but you alas diversification oversea winning the crunch sets and points in that match. She knew the two tie breaks and then seven five and oversee kind of went off the boil in the second fourth but when it mattered. He how it is nerves and managed to come through. And i know how tied he'll be for his match with eh federico del bonus he was another sort stonewalled play quarter if ever there was one But yeah it's it's great. Actually because i think you defeated akina. We're not really talking about him as like a up and coming spaniard like in the same vein as of caller soccer is. He didn't certainly has lost to schwartzman. I think it was but Yeah what was it nope. Otc looks but that would have been shorts. You're you're right. I think up for me. He is a player is like yes. He's he has so so flight under the radar in terms of his His his his time on tour. So far i only see just thought when he came on didn't really see a lot from him in terms of you know. This player could challenge the the top ten. I just saw. He is a good spanish player and he properly plays quite well on clay. Think you will say place quite well on grass actually. I'm watching a little bit in queens qualifying a couple of seasons guy. Yeah i it's. It's i think this is a tournament was kind of showing that perhaps he is. He is better than you know. Maybe a lot of places in a lot of people give him credit for in and you know he shouted not with this win against casper rude and maybe he has a player in the future. He could be he could be like a david goffin sort of ask you know maybe top ten. Don't think he's you know i didn't. He's top five but he sent. He feels like he could be in. Maybe like eight to fifteen category. A in terms of the the rankings and property casper route sort of you know sees himself potentially at the moment but Yeah very very complete victory. I think for vicki know given you know i think given the when he kinda came onto the didn't think a lot of people were shouting his name no true he did reach. I think the last sixteen in the usa panel shakes. He beat cabinetry. Didn't he To get there. I think we should have to say and Yeah i think that brings us to a. He's really a fool for today and oversee the tennis as we're recording this g to stall in the not distant feature matches for today joe of azarenka public anchor like i launch as its pass against pcb. That we've got serena against rob akina verify. Sha corey is the night session and then along long long Sedans set kosev driss for producer. Garin medvedev and eighty f- against o. Bonus amongst those particular one that your school. They've really shunted eighty fws to the to the graveyard slot. Have they lost back to the boss. I said they know. Yeah for me. I i am looking at as an chunk. The also vary versus nishikori. Because i think that could be a very fun. I think that could be despite probably being no crowd that i think that could be a very fun night match and i think that could go very late. I would not be surprised if that goes to to five sets i think nishikori will have benefited from the fact that he was able to a his opponent withdrew after tennyson is. I think that would've helped him. Given he played two five-set matches in round one and round to say. I'm looking at that much to me as this sort of assaults astound standout. What a what about you see. I think that much be run of the mill win ferrara oven three. So yeah i take. Maybe i'm underestimating. Very story dislike the player of of yesteryear. Possibly i mean i. Do you like if pop public apis. So i'm quite interested you always talk about. Ecb i'm interested to see how he does against. Its pass win. If you'll say is going to be routine against the security of god odyssey say that surpass. Pc that families have retained three-set job for pass. Well you never say oversee azarenka that much you know vk paths that sir like my other one that i'm interest for i think serena woman comfortably as saddam's acosta. I'd expect castilla to win not. I'm hoping daisuke win against when trees. I'd like to see. I'd like to see. But i go on the run here but We take time. She's had her time and she's got fine. Let me sorry sorry marketer. We don't backing you hair policy but actually just round up some of the other events We've got some british hypes in the wheelchair as a waste outfit hewitt during the business. He's in the singles and doubles finals. So he had to save three points in his semi against gustavo fernandez. He was five one down as well in the final set. And i think he's at that. Was i think the match of his life afterwards. Say he's shingo canadian in the singles final coming up and then him and golden reader in the doubles final as well applying dan. Pifer say Hatefully alfie can bring him at these titles for great britain because unfortunately jamie murray is off the men's doubles Losing to kevin kravitz. You'll favorite s. So we take mind to march i suppose And he was in the in the mixed with bethany matic signs but joesbury is still in the mixed with disarray. Quarterback say there is a chance for joe as well. Because he'd austin the in the men's as well but Yes i still some of these brits pace to collectors update today as theresa say everyone look out for that because he can see how well you might be a red. I'll have to say. I think as people go things wrong. Safe all including me. This has been the most read. I think we've seen in collect to set in since inception it's been a very hard tournament..

"Bachelorette season premiere tomorrow. Eight seven central on abc. This is the passing show with joel and kim supported by down tennis dot com. And now we're gonna move on to looking at fridays. Ten of events from girl's day six the tournament and the stall the third round said this is a bit of a rainy day is but if interruption but we still had some absolutely cracking matches and walk because the remaining top seed in the women's drawers thirds eight lenka. She lost her anaesthesia. Jank for quite a bizarre school. I actually she was bagel. Did not lost sad and really her game competely when of boyle and engaged so now like it was upset it went south so quickly adds up eight eight six four two six six love and suppling off to a good start i think she went three level and then pops just kind of fired back and then he thought supple ince you sorting sourcing yourself out and i couldn't second-set sixty. Hey we guy you can share what you're made off show you ready to deepen a slab windows matches the you know the tricky ones and yet just completely yup. We'll we'll we'll so for me. What was so bizarre about it. Was they played each other. In madrid in the semifinals. And although i think of was i think she was. One hundred percent match fit in in that match but salamanca just wiped her off the court and from that from that match i was just there was no hope in. Hell that the pathogen cover will be able to to current events that and get her revenge but she was eight she was able to and again. She's older she's no. I think the she has been around. She has been around for a while. Now pathogen cover. And she's got a lot of experience behind think she used in her a victory against saba lenka. She converted five of ten bright points. She fired twenty two winners. Only sixteen unforced errors and it was impressive. How how it came back. And i think it adds i think to the fat. The madrid plays very differently to very low garros and perhaps that you know the conditions in right on garros because they're different to to madrid made. That didn't help. stop lenka pump. The tank was as a rank next Who came through a very dominating fashion which i think surprise surprise me. Surprised people think jens madison keys six to sixteen. So i mean. I still think as a rank is very good shout. Hearing in going potentially to quarter-final semifinal maybe even a final But yeah that's another fascinating match up. That's that's on the cards in round. Four yeah i think that's i on today so i shall be having a another pano shock on a nice cup of tea to that one. I've gone down the power producer shock. Reach since i mentioned the other day. I've gone out and got some say is your. You're following the elite elite athletes elite producer. Dieter yep i will be back in the day. I didn't know if he still has. It refers quite a fan of light teller and chocolate so it oversee works for elite level elite level spaniard. So i'm i'm taking a leaf out of that book bobby jennifer. She did have a medical timeout in that much. So i take no. She was much in this one. I take notice. Apple inca underestimated the match in the run-up based on that prior showing madrid because they need to look like she had a plan bay. And i really think she needs to work on adding a lot. More variety 'cause she call it just blast the board and expect that to always work. Say maybe that's why she lost that dot third-set six love. You know she. She was like you know it's issues of realizing nothing was working and she didn't have anything in ahead to to to to kind of change and even though she won that second set. Yeah it perhaps is something that she needs to address. Because i don't think. I don't think having just one sort of game will will win. You win your competition. I mean we'll come onto it. But i think john isn't it kind of shows that against conscious passed in the sense that we know he's got a very big serve and he can he. He can hit some groundstrokes hearing that but he's quite relying on his serve. And that might get you to the second week of a grand slam but it's not gonna win the competition absolutely yeah hundred percent groove that one publishing also doing quite well in the doubles She's with elena rob akina. They're still in the in the draw in the women's doubles on rubber. kena is going strong in the singles. as well. she's got serena williams next. She came through against bush nina. I think it was the one. That benefited from kavita withdrawing. If i'm right so you know. And obviously the machine is kind of newly comeback from like batanes e- essentially say. Yeah rob akina doing quite well. We'll see i think. Last year at the start the season she was on the right route and we were talking about having since then it's kind of stagnated debate. So it's kind of nice that she's pulling together by a string of wins by calling. I called and see how beating serena williams. I think serena's beating in actually like much better form than i thought she was going to be and she came through collins in straight-sets and i thought that one could have been a bit of a three-set tussle. I was quite impressed. Actually with serena especially. I heard two leaves in the first round tournament say. She's definitely exceeding my expectations. I think we say so. Far with the three serena williams. She's been getting better and better and better with each match and what was so impressive about collins. Victory was the fact that she was. She was four one down in that second set and she wanted into and it was you know it was a point in the match where i think. Even someone as great serena williams. I think regular fans were looking at it like own collins could could go and run here and potentially win it. In three but serena williams again just put in a very very strong performance from a situation that that did look a little bit powerless in that second set and you came out with twenty two winners Twenty twenty unforced errors and she's still in the competition and i think that's the i genuinely think for a lot of the top seeds that has been the name of the really his genuinely. I think thou- like last last women seed standing because everyone is is sort of dropping like flies always withdraw rose very balti soccer kavita. Whoever and it's just about getty through one match at the time. And i think you know you look at how it's unfolding came. You gotta think that. I can't genuinely think of a draw that has been opened up this much for her in terms of have reaching a final and if she has got serious serious ambitions of of of winning a slam twenty four. I with this drawer. That she's got left. You would say that it's it's it's a better chance than is a better chance than the than the other jurors. She's she's potentially have gone so far since you know this. This quest is become a thing. Yeah i i feel like could be a and tech serena final in which case i think that'd be fascinating because you've got this sort of like oversee the defending champion new kid. It on the block. Still against serena on her quest for twenty four and that would be a real I i'd still probably give sean take the edge. But if serena it got to that point still and was playing really well. Then i'll just be. Yeah very intriguing. But i'm getting ahead of myself. I mean serena's are in is still bobby serena serena's had had record his rule pretty good against as a rancor assuming they've come through that round full matches we'll just have to kind of wait and see but i certainly think things. Opening up the serena williams she can continue on this upward trajectory of playing better with each match particularly i think coupled with know experience obviously the latter ends of of talk at the latter ends of tournament. I think that experience will really come in to come into the four in in this in this half whereas all the those big season dropping and in in a way not getting household names kind of coming through and you know one of those names that potentially might might come through. The tournament is is is powder producer because we got to talk about that barbosa dr match because i think that for me was was botched if the back to the total cost. Pay the the men's on and women's draws besa came out of it to six seven six six four. The final sat both players. Were playing.

"He's having a good having a good tournament. Lost six one six four but also sake of secon split up with her adad as a cage so that something something interesting that it's happened you know. This is just the first time it's happened and we shouldn't be surprised that she's in round four because you know she's shown in the past the when whenever she's been playing terribly or we think she's been playing terribly in the the woman she's able to bring it out on the on the biggest stage of all and thing that shows a lot about her her mentality in our approach. The fat i think she is a big game player. She might not necessarily be like a a caroliina fishkhabur for example. Who normally sort of racks up the. Yeah the the the titles on the on the on the w. t. a tool but not necessarily as able to translate that to slams. Well it feels. Like kenan is the the complete opposite end of the spectrum. Yeah that's a very good point. She she knows when to bring it doesn't shave at the she. She brings a when it matters. And that is the slams. I think also you know she. She kind of has it where she wants it because she doesn't like tapping the pressure in the tool can expectation on her. Say the fact that she's the fourth seed and we're not really talking about her Perhaps now it's probably what she wants. She doesn't need tension a now. I don't know if i was her. You know i'd want to be in that situation. So yes she may. She flounder the radar but she may go deep. She's got maria sakari next He came through against the lease martians. Anything kenan could could win that one Having a great tournament she actually said she went away for a holiday before coming to paris. Which i think is obviously done done. Wonders pops up the recipe for success. She went to a nice little greek island which sounds ovallis so can her ideal kind of lead up to talk lose really badly to play but sakari approach is having a have a nice little holiday have unless the whole lay destination and chill out is at the is that the is that the approach. Yeah i mean if i had cheese one approach definitely gave call reason. Yeah beach not playing tennis for five days that that will definitely yeah perhaps work. What magic. But i'm also you just mentioned creek. She she beats. Serena in straight-sets Yesterday which was perhaps a bit of a surprise at the school. I and it was six. Three six t But see she's playing really well. She had a good good running ramos. Well say off to see. See how she She how she continues going through the drew. And then just the night on sloan stevens. Well who's say still going strong at much too. I think most people surprise as she came through against carrying a merkava. He was it. All collector set at the wrong in my prediction as a result of his match. But yeah it's nice against cease slain putting some much wins together and she is a great move on clay like we know she can play like streaming you well on this surface. She's been to a final and It's a long time coming. The she's kind of back in this kind of vein of form is perhaps. I think she's actually across. Both joel's is perhaps the most pleasing is the most pleasing victories. i think i'm seeing a founded. The movement is is this rise of saint stephen's and again. She looked very very good against carolina. Macabre six three seven five. She's reached the fourth tau fourth round here for the seventh time she loves you. She's think movement is one of the biggest strong points and it's it helps have in paris and although record has been not kind of yeah coming into the classes and she's really been able to build up a head of steam and it's really been great to see. I think she plays cocoa gulf next. Who came through jennifer braid age brady unfortunately had to retire. I think her movement was hump to pampered by her foot. Took golf won. The fess at six one and brady kind of cool there day but yet coca gulf slain stevens that is going to be another blockbuster encounter from two players. Who will i think. I think that will be very. I think i. I'd actually know how that is gonna go but that is going to be another really match up because i think st. stephen's somme has got the bit between the teeth at the moment but i think i got golf as as the same so you know that. Sort of trying to make the make the most of of ashkenazi with earlier on. Yeah and if it wasn't for rafeh against sinner i'd say that that would be a great shout for the night match but i feel of say they'll probably gave her for but yeah we're gonna take a quick break now but do join us in the second half will be looking back on the results from day. Six french open to go.
