Kevin McCullough Reacts to the Kyle Rittenhouse Verdict

"I'm bringing in Kevin McCullough. Kevin, can I let you take it away? Hey, Alvin, good to talk to you. Well, I don't know what you want me to take away. We do have a verdict in the rittenhouse case. And I'm not terribly surprised at it. When you look at what happened in the courtroom when you look at the kind of tone and the general demeanor that the judge had over the course of time, you had a pretty good feeling that the prosecution had not put its best foot forward. And in similar fashion or in opposite fashion, actually, I think the jury did a lot of due diligence. They deliberated for over 30 hours asking for notes and questions from the judge from the testimony from the evidence that had been submitted, but I think there were a couple of things that they just couldn't get past. One is that one of the victims who did testify actually pointed a gun at mister rittenhouse. That's a pretty much a slam dunk on self defense cause. And the other piece that I think was really interesting in the last couple of days we learned that the prosecutors had not that they had they had made video available. To the rest of the court proceeding that was different than what they were using. And they depended on that video to make their case in very sharp contrast. And the video that they made available for everybody else was very fuzzy and very not clear, and they had an HD copy that they were working with that they never revealed. And then they said things about how the video operated and things that you supposedly saw. This was the drone footage. That's direct withholding of evidence. And that goes to the process that very easily for rittenhouse to ask the judge for mistrial on just that

So you've been calling, you've been dropping these calls for the impeachment of the man who sadly bears the title of presidents since January. Now it's a slam dunk. Is it not? Whether it's the border, whether it's inflation, whether it's China, meeting with Xi Jinping on Tuesday, who knows what deals with cut behind closed doors with, you know, hunter profiting at the end of it. You're not giving up. You're going to keep fighting. And hopefully, sooner or later something's going to happen. It should be happening, but that's how we know that our system is broken. That's how we know that everyone is failing the American people. This man is guilty of more crimes than you could add up every single president that is actually been impeached. Obama Ripped For Slamming 'Phony Culture Wars' at McAuliffe Rally

"Welcome back to America first one on one with Andrew clavin. We have a pronouncement. He's back. I don't know why, but he's back the man who was the first black president of the United States is now an expert on culture and he has something to say about those rascally Republicans cut 7 play cuts. We don't have time. You might want to go to beep. Wasting on these phony trumped up culture wars. This fake outrage, the right wing media's pedals to juice their ratings. And the fact that he's willing to go along with it instead of talking about serious problems that actually affect serious people, that's a shame. Fake culture wars. That's Obama. Yesterday, the day before campaigning for one of the sleaziest objectively empirically one of the sleaziest Democrat politicians, Terry mccaul, sorry Terry mcauliffe. And he's saying it's invented. There is no culture war at all and I guess Donald Trump wasn't canceled on Twitter either. Let me give an example of how little a culture war there is. Yesterday, Wednesday, The Washington Post lead editorial cartoon is a delightful group of mothers sitting in somebody's living room with a grill a barbecue grill in the middle and they're burning books and The Washington Post calls this the mom's for liberty book club. Which side of the political aisle is kidding. It's banning books. On Amazon. And silencing speech, we're using the corporate, the power of corporations guided by the government, which is almost the definition of fascism. You know, he is so good. He's such a talented politician, Barack Obama. And the problem with him is that all of his philosophy is wrong. And so none of his policies work, so he became president at a time when the economy had crashed, and historically an economy that takes a nosedive will bounce up just as high just as fast. He sat on that economy with his stupid ObamaCare and his stupid policies. He was handed a piece in the Middle East. And he let loose ISIS in a war that took over a territory the sizable Ohio with terrorism and this wickedness that his exist in the Middle East. He failed at everything. "Thank you. I want to begin by asking you about the headlines this morning that Democrats are attempting to write both a billionaire's tax language and an Amnesty proposal into legislation that you haven't seen I assume. What could go wrong, senator? Oh, heavens. What could go wrong? Absolutely everything could go wrong. And we have been discussing some of these proposals that the Democrats are coming up with. And of course, you are absolutely correct. We haven't seen anything in writing, which is very typical around this place. But what they're proposing is the billionaires could be taxed on what's called unrealized capital gains on their liquid assets. Meaning, wealthy, billionaires, they would be taxed on things like stocks or other assets like real estate where they actually haven't seen any money yet it's unrealized. Well, how do you do that? And what happens if you lose money in your stock portfolio? Does the government give you money back? If it's a crazy scheme and I guess we'll just have to have IRS agents living with billionaires so they can figure all this stuff out.

I'll tell you not not at all what it got annoying because it got to the point where you know blockbuster is there's only a limited amount of films really that are available to you at any one given time especially during that era of blockbuster so we literally watched everything. I don't think there is all the new releases were taking care of. There is nothing that probably like around. What like two thousand seven. Two thousand two thousand nine. "Interplay at work within order and sometimes That's so anchored in arousal whether that's arousal of fear or sexual arousal and the kind of weirdly porous terrain between the two. I think rob zombie gets that you know. Even if it's just an instinctive thing and i agree with you There's there's a strangely puritanical strain especially mainstream american horror. Now that i find really distance so yeah totally read on thing is a good word for it because it does feel like the filmmakers keeping something from yes. Yeah yeah. I think it's so vital. I think it was west. Craven who described his first viewing of the texas chainsaw massacre in having this thought like this is a filmmaker who might go anywhere. This this film is made by a madman. And i think there's something to be set for that that when you when you really get that sort of charge viewing with a good horror film you have to sort of have that feeling that you don't know where it's going to go right. The i think that's there has to be that that quality so that restraint and contemporary mainstream horror i think is to its detriment in a big way absolutely absolutely see. I think one way in which he likes seeks to evolve that hooper styles is. His movies are not even basically concerned with even hinting at having a protagonist like this protagonists are his murderers pretty much. Yeah and i think that comes from lake. We're bringing up hooper but rob zombie again when you look at his sensibility as a filmmaker. It's it's really i think. Important to to look at his love of the universal monster movies. Because i think he remembers as a kid. I identifying with These monsters on screen. I think that's maybe the foundation of his fascination with outkast mentality on an outcast figures cinema so And i definitely see that in his halloween films. Which i know. We're not talking about today. But yeah i mean like michael in those films is a lot like the karloff frankenstein in some ways. So and i think that the only way he pulled that off is because of his approach like he his movies because a lot of the same cast and the tone. They seem to strike. It always feels like a bunch of friends getting together to make another movie. There's there's a warmth and joy in these things that feels incongruous with the content. a lot of. Let's get away with a lot. Yeah well part of that. We haven't brought up. Oh yeah well. She's certainly i mean. I like his his easter eggs. To like there's things you can count on every single rob zombie movie and i think one of them is. I don't know if he's ever made a single film where you didn't see sheri moon zombies bud crack so you know it's one thing you can count on halloween to think halloween too. She issues her ghost phantom. It's hard it's hard to talk about. How with us corpses like it's hard to talk about that and rejects for me after just one viewing as like separate things because they feel obviously you know one is the sequel but they feel like just such a part one and part two. Yeah for sure. Yeah there really is like a lot of overlap between them..

"That's my goal. So i feeling mike spent doing this for a while I'm interested though mike. Have you like where were you interested like. Did you go see these movies when they came out and you immediately we're attracted to them or was it something. That brood over time. I saw i think the first roth's ambi- movie i saw during its original release was the lords of salem which i saw as a midnight movie on which was the perfect way to see the lords of salem but i was a big fan of his other films before that too But that was the first one. i saw in theaters. yeah. I've always been a fan of rob zombies films. I actually of my entry point into rob zombie and it's probably true for a lot of people. Was his music like all throughout junior high school. I had you know his cds on repeat in my desk so yet he and he also rob zombie. Weirdly was like my backwards gateway drug into alice cooper so he. He was very formative figure. Yeah for me in my In my adolescence. i've always had a soft spot for his work. It's interesting you guys brought up this splat pack concepts. There's a really good book called selling the slap pack that that's intensely focused on market narratives and the way especially the emergence of the dvd market affected. This really. What was a manufactured narrative like any of these filmmakers. I don't think there's a. There's like an intuitive alignment between any of them. Like i think eli roths. Work deserves the label torture porn ditto for the saw movies whether or not one likes them. They're not they don't really like a line with that label. Yeah i mean just looking. At the list of of directors that are usually included in that it's like at it's it's really hard to find any similarities other than they made gory horror movies in a very specific frame of time. And the yeah they. They probably did really really well in the in the rental market. That's that's pretty much it like. They all got releases on like beer. Mex- dimension extreme or whatever that label from The early two thousand. Yeah exactly and it was it. Was this kind of emergence of the possibility of an unrated cut or a director's cut that studios saw a lot of potential for sales with so i think they kind of maximized on what this particular generation has to offer on that front come and then they tried to narrative is them as a movement similar to something like i dunno you could draw analogy with the grunge movement or something. Which when you look at it. It's a kind of a hodgepodge of very different artists. Who just happened to be making like rock music around the same geographical region right well and i think it tapped into the same allure that a lot of the The band movies from the from one thousand nine hundred seventy s had when i was finally able to rent them..

Terry McAuliffe Struggles Down the Stretch in Virginia Governors' Race

"I have been talking all morning about the new Terry mcauliffe in which he says, don't believe Gwen young. He's lying about me taking out a context. It's a pretty old rule Josh that if you're talking about the other guy in the last two weeks of a campaign, it hadn't gone well for you. Yeah, you followed so many campaigns over the years. They'll find of a campaign that's struggling to calibrate its message in the final few weeks of an election. It's not a good sign. I mean, if you live in Virginia, you've seen ad after ad slamming mcauliffe on education, slamming my collar on the debate comment he made saying that parents should be secondary to school boards and school administrators. And he had not changed his position he had doubled down triple down underscore that in many interviews. I saw it in last week that they think. And now they're up with an ad trying to clarify his remarks, mcauliffe said they were taking out of context as a debate in this advertisement. But look, I mean, education is the number one issue in my reporting on the Virginia governor's race. This is something that's just rallying the Republican base, but it's moving to moderate motors in the suburbs towards the Republican side. And I think McCollum now sees that. I wrote a column just about a school closure so the fact that my call didn't realize school closures were an issue when he announced his campaign last year in front of a school that was closed and didn't mention anything about reopening schools are coming up with a plan last year to reopen schools. And then later on, he kind of addressed as his own supporters as his own voters saw that was an issue that was resonated with a lot of voters. He's been slow on the uptick and realizing these issues have resonance in Virginia. And I think it's going to be a big problem for him in the close and stretch.

"You know another example the same phenomenon and then if you wanted to criticize seats for anything it should have been that. He basically trotted out some misinformation about vaccinations and being anti vaccine mean. The greek government came out and criticized him for his irresponsible. And a scientific remarks about definitely feel like conscious or unconscious sublimate and louisa. Just how much focus. There was on this dumb non controversy controversy during the us open. Absolutely i mean. I mean it's it's hard to know sometimes when you are a semi news and semi entertainment organization You know what kind of calculus is going into. That is that they don't wanna get in legal. Trouble is that they said comfortable. For whatever particular announcers is it They don't think it's gonna be good for ratings whereas you know something as dumb as bathroom breaks is kind of captured. The imagination of skeptical logically minded immature public. I don't know. I mean it's it's hard to say i mean i i think that I think that broadcasts have an ongoing tradition of blowing Discussions about a lot of these things. I mean i think you know. In the first game of the season. Chris collins worth referred to antonio brown's million dollar smile and some quote some off the field stuff you know referring to really serious allegations against antonio brown so. I think that that works needs to do a better job at you. Know facing This public information and it does seem that this is a sort of no go area. Which is is pretty inexcusable and needs to be addressed In some way either by ourselves or by the public the forces them to do it. I think as the season goes on with the saints in with winston This will be talked about more. I think this week one storyline of i start. They blew out. the packers. is maybe going to push things in the direction that we've been talking about but we'll see i mean i wouldn't be surprised if it needs to be ignored but someone at some point or a lot of someone's at at at some point argonaut address and we'll we'll see How he deals with it. How the team deals with it. The nfl deals with it but You know steph. One of the more notable results from week one is just how terrible the jaguars looked against tyrod taylor and the houston texans and there was a story that came out by jason lockenfora of cbs sports. Before the game even started. I think there was just about how urban meyer mr raw college man Is everybody hates them. they're already i mean. Maybe i'm exaggerating a little bit but you know wanting them to take the preseason games more seriously being mad that they lost them just seems like a really really bad recipe for for an nfl team steph and just kind of like almost a cliche of like how college guys don't succeed in the nfl just like treating the players like children etcetera yeah and the inability to recognize that these are two different businesses. Whenever a college coach comes in the nfl. Very frequently is kind of amazing. It's almost as if shockingly football coaches don't spend any time reading about anything else but their own teams and preparing for the next game and even after this game. The jaguars lost people that thought. Trevor lawrence was going to be an all star quarterback and all pro quarterback out of the chute were wrong. I mean this is still a untested rookie quarterback in a very different and more advanced league and after the game urban. Meyer said it's inexcusable. The things that need to be fixed three preseason games. You'd think we'd have that fixed. So that's something we're that we're going to do. I would guesstimate. You would not see that again. that's inexcusable. That sort of garbage will not go over well in the locker room and the fact that urban meyer doesn't recognize that these are grown up adult players and not college students that he has complete and total control over is if not surprising at least entertaining for those of us who can't stand the sort of sanctimony us bullshit. The college coaches spout. I think unhinged is one of the words that came up in the. Cbs report about him. But yeah i mean. Let's not forget that he's not like he had a reputation for really knowing how to treat college students. Either i mean there were there. Were roughly can look red flags for years. I mean i do think that one of the things that's interesting. That's come come out of some of these reports and also the first game is kind of you know incompetent. You can trace back to the coaching staff. I mean a lot of the you can talk about drop passes and things like that but you know there were there were there. Were penalized for illegal formation. Three times you know. I mean there i mean there's just i mean it's just it's just a kind of in the offseason. He had difficulties figuring out the nfl schedule. Sort of overriding people. I mean it sort of it is like a joke. I mean it is funny. I mean this is the guy who brought back tim tebow. You know. I mean it's like he's living his own like hard knocks life It didn't cut. Tim tebow however and i'm sure it was very very difficult decision for him in the staff. Let's finish by talking about. I think our favorite moment of the past week which was cam newton's forty-three minute what. Tmz described in a phrase. That still makes me laugh. Every time i see it a sit down interview with his dad laughed. I laughed in that interview cam. Newton said that his alra his hairstyle the way talks way addresses and the way he dances. The reason bill belichick cut him last month. The reason why they released me is because indirectly. I was gonna be a distraction. 'cause i've been the star without being started and this was how verbally or in my aura. Okay just my own. Patriots started mac. John's the rookie lost to the dolphins stephan. Was this. Tell us a little bit more about the sit down interview. The camden had with his dad. And would you say that this actually was kind of a display of self awareness on campus. Part i mean he seemed to be pretty candid You know he. He said that they that he thinks that he would have been cut. Regardless of the fact that he seems to not have been vaccinated and had to miss five days of practice for violating protocol..

"That tonight. Even though i have not won the match my heart is filled with joy. And i'm the happiest man alive because guys made me feel very special when the applause die down louisa. He told the crowd. You guys touched my soul. Jovic has never gotten much fan support outside of his native serbia especially compared with federer. earn doll all But he did get it on sunday. And i can't decide if it's touching or sad that it meant that much to him and i think the answer is is both i mean i found it actually incredibly moving that he was so in this moment in which you know this thing that he'd been working so hard for and was very open about Chasing he never ever downplayed what Getting the calendar year grand slam would mean to him in surpassing veteran. All and the tally for the most major. I mean he was absolutely open. This is what he was going for and this was what his ear was built around and he was denied an almost embarrassing way. I mean he played very badly and and yet at the end he was he was crying and he was smiling and he was pumping his fist and there was something there was something moving about that. Even if it also was an indication of you know how what a kind of complex position he is in in this sort of phantom people who say that the novak djokovic just wants to be loved narrative is is way overplayed and i get that but in that moment you really did feel what immense him and i was reminded of when he played roger federer half a decade ago now and the crowd was just brutal to him. I mean terrible and how hard that must have been and and to have that you know this kind of redemption moment. Even as he was losing in his press conference afterwards actually elaborated and he said he wasn't just telling the crowd wasn't just getting last series. of course. part of me is very sad. It's a tough one to swallow this loss. But on the other hand i felt something. I've never felt in my life here in new york. Crowd made me feel very special. He said that it's something over a member forever. That's the reason on the change over. I just teared up the emotion. The energy was so strong. I mean it's as strong as winning. Twenty one grand slams. That's how i felt honestly. I felt very very special And yeah. I don't know any ended up by saying it was just wonderful and i. I don't know if that's how he's gonna field some borrow that kind of moment of ovation. That standing ovation was just as good as winning. Twenty one grand slams but you know. He's a sentimental guy for all the kind of the machine like narrative that also is built around him. He is some guy he's the guy feels things really deeply and has this kind of like mystic way of mystical way of talking and and that moment did meet a lot and it was and it was the kind of Reminder of you know the how important that crowd is especially me me in tennis. Which is such a lonely sport and this year. I think you know something. Maybe we should talk about is. The crowd was more important than ever took a slightly more cynical view of what happened at at that match. Which was that. It took jovovich losing the opportunity to win the calendar grand slam the first person to do it since steffi graf in one thousand nine hundred eight only would have been the second person in fifty years to accomplish that so the crowd was almost like the crowd was pitying him. I felt like yet was a recognition but it came only when he was on the brink of defeat so from his perspective. It was definitely a little. Sally field kind of moment. You love me. You really love me but at the same time it was like oh thanks for trying novak we really appreciate your effort and you know what we're also probably glad that medvedev lot one. Yeah i don't agree with that. I think that they were actually rooting for him. The whole match but it was because he was or would they rooting for for more ten as to which is always typical in the third set when someone win the crab legs. More tennis They're rooting for him. Because they kind of greedily wanted to see history being made and the he was the guy at that match who was able of giving them what they wanted. It wasn't necessarily that. They are rooting for him. There rooting for this feat accomplishment and it was crucial that he was playing against a guy to kneel medvedev who has his own extremely complicated history with the new york crowd. I mean fans. I think have come around and like him now but he's not he's not nidal he's not somebody who is a legend of the sport and he's not somebody that in this occasion. Most people in the crowd would have been set. See leers quite the contrary. But it's just so it's so funny. Louisa this idea of like oh the rich just wants to be loved narratives overplayed that is perhaps the least overplayed narrative. I mean the novak djokovic wants to be loved narrative was i think enshrined in cement forever. And i feel like a jerk for saying this but it's just kind of. It's a little bit like pitiful to nick. Nick nick curios you now. I mean i think one of the things. One of the many things curiosity said about novak is that it's kind of pathetic in that it's it's just not cool and it's you know it's true..

"He's qualified four five of them got a lucky loser into one of them as well. He's made four. Atp quarterfinals you look for in in his career in terms of atp quarterfinals. He's made four of seven. He's made his career have come this season. He won two challengers at the end of twenty twenty. Unequivocally they helped twenty-seven-year-old now and you look for him. Twenty seven years old given the extended primes and the extended age range of what it is now to be prime player in professional tennis. The extended physicality that's needed. Which is why you see. A guy like vodka. A guy like a fujita vich continue mackey mcdonald. Marcos garrone tennessean grin play. Their best tennis in their late. Twenties is because there is a physical component. That for some guys just comes a little bit later and for ivanka. It's absolutely come this season. You look at the success. He's had across the board here this year. Twenty two and twelve overall in atp level matches outside of qualifying. You look for him. You know just in general here In twenty twenty one. Four ilia ev- asca. I believe this season. And i want to be incorrect here. He is thirty four and sixteen overall. I mean he's gotten it done in qualifying he's gotten it done in. Atp level matches he's had success on hardcourts. he's had success on grass courts. He made a semi-final in munich. On the clay courts as well where he beat reuss ivorian mackey and zero in three sets before bowing out tian leonard. Struve you look for ivanka. Overall this season against top fifty players. He's five and six against top twenty players three and five. That's the profile of top fifty player and he looked for iliad joschka now in the atp rankings up to a new career high of number fifty seven. You look for him in the race to the year. End finals ev- asha currently sits at number. Forty seven overall. You look at the advanced metrics elo rating wise ilia vasha currently in terms of overall illo number forty three twenty twenty one specific alot his Twenty nine and sixteen record. Good for thirtieth you look at how his numbers would translate again over these last fifty two weeks overall thirty four and sixteen is ilia adagio. You look for him here Again i wanna make sure. I'm not incorrect. For ilya of uscca over these last a fifty two weeks. Hold percentage eighty three point one. Break percentage twenty six point five that eighty three point. One hold percentage would trail chore rich for seventeenth overall amongst top fifty players. I mentioned again. The break percentage for ilia of varsha twenty six point five percent. That number would rank behind casper. Rude a good for about seventeenth again. So he would be a top twenty club now. You'd probably have to adjust for competition and a lot of his has come at the atp to fifty level but when you're winning two thirds of your matches at the two fifty level you're going to become a top fifty player particularly when you're doing it across surfaces as elliot ev- ashby has done quietly one of the best stories of this twenty twenty one season guy. I would want no part of early in the first few rounds of new york. Big sur again. He's your modern player. Six.

"Now she's got a really good chance tomorrow against as corny because corner of course doesn't have that huge weapon that can disrupt the pace of stood italina that can force her to get a little bit error. Happy and and cronyn played some physical tennis over these past couple of days. Not that fiddling didn't in her three-set win over. Rebecca peterson but look for alina. Civita lena she wins this title that's nine titles in nine seasons intense nine years in ten nine of ten years third as leave it all in west off with a w t tour. Title that ridiculous consistency. I'm not like saying she's a hall of famer yet. But let's be clear. Fiddling is still twenty. Seven years old irks us. Turns twenty-seven on september twelfth. She's got a good five years left in her of her prime and there's no reason with the openness of the wti to her. she gets hot. She gets his fit in for the right two weeks. Say it's australia states. May maybe even a wimbledon given the lack of sample size on grass courts for so many of these young players. They're is still a window first. Fiddling it's i would say it's even more open than the caroliina plus window now course. Plus cobas elite has been better than fiddling as elite throughout the course of their careers. Thus far but i still think the windows a little bit open for both of them so this is a good run for fiddling. I'm not saying she's going to win new york but this is a much needed. Confidence booster for her heading into new york. Of course now in the final she is going to take. Oh and by the way alina not fifteen in three in her career in w tate tour level finals. that's clutch. It's pretty damn clutch. She's the favorite tomorrow ticket on alisa cornell book for cornell nineteen in nineteen here in twenty twenty one. This was not only This was her first final. Excuse me is her first final of the season first. Final since luzon in july of twenty nineteen first hardcourt final since brisbane twenty seventeen looking for her first title since gustad twenty eighteen. That was a clay court event. You look for corny. I mean this was a big one for her up. to number fifty six twelve spots in the rankings. Just means you don't have to usually play qualifying at at the premier mandatory now one thousand level events the miami's at the world the indian wells of the world still in strike zone and for thirty one year old alisa tornado..

"In sydney my name is yon should op so we have an excellent show few today but to be honest we always do but this time around we have two guests so this means less chat up from me and more from them opening the show. We have multidisciplinary artist and founder of honesty policy. Podcast honesty policy is a podcast about what happens when people get real about things that matter and closing us off. Odd the organizers of comedy slam on what is that you ask while you stick around to find out. But i stopped. Let's hear from sarah from honesty policy. Podcast my name is rock. I m a artist I just wanna create stuff. And i want people to feel listen to without having to talk to him in person. That was that way saying that. Yes oh you being honest honesty policy so just before we went to air. I was asking year. How do you pronounce your name. And you're kind of like it's a complicated answer. Do you mind getting into that. Yeah sure So because i was raised in australia I had to like simplify the pronunciation of my name so that it could be said by everyone. Easily so My mom would say That it's rock rhymes the mark which is incorrect. Itsy rock it doesn't with mark does not run with mark iran with c. I forced you to think on your feet. You will like to sit up. Sit up barack. So the reason i brought you on is to talk about your wonderful podcast on a state policy honesty policy. Is it just the podcast. Or is it a platform So what i want. Honesty posey to be is sort of like a badge. Like a almost like how nowadays when people say that christian They still do all the things that are not very christian. But there's still there's still a christian and they try and that's that's what's important honesty policies just kind of saying i'm trying to be honest. I'm not going to be honest all the time because i need to be safe in some situations. Ain't to not say everything that's on my mind but i'm going to try to be honest. That's what honesty posey means to me. And i want that to be spread. Because i think the more we can just be honest with each other the more we realized. We don't actually care about the things that we think we care about You just said now that you want to be as honest except in circumstances where you could get into trouble over its save you saved. There are some things that might happen in your life where you don't want to talk about it because it will make you like physically breakdown you make you really upset to talk about it so when ask you What's going on and you're not very close with that person or you don't feel like you don't feel the trust in that person you actually have no need to tell them. You have no obligation to be honest with them about that. You can just say. I don't wanna talk about it and that's being honest because it's still being honest it's just not telling the whole truth is is telling what you need to not You know to keep yourself at a same level. 'cause that's also important otherwise you can't speak. Yeah i'm glad that's a really good point because i'm the complete opposite. I say way too much. And i don't know where it comes from leaders means you trust people. That's fine..

"All right this is dj well figured why do this now? Because there's not this Sunday I thought so much slam was tomorrow. But. It's not this Sunday. It's next. Sunday. And I thought to go through this now. You know the predictions on who I think are going to win some slam. And when their matches and everything like that. But there is a funny story does floating around involving the big show. And a slam he's. And when I'm at the store is light. I have got to do this at the same time that we talk about some slam. So. I'M GONNA I'm GonNa read the story and then I'm GonNa give my thoughts on what I think about the story. So let me just go ahead and pulled that one up before I do the Summer Slam as of. The Summer Slam at. Some slam predictions. Okay. So WWE took back all. Out The big show slamming award. Now this was now I don't know why does until this week to come up on on one of the trending feed, but it was already posted Friday I wanNA say Yeah. We're posted yesterday. And It will don bleeding. Bleeding. Bleeding something not calm. And Kinda see the name of the. newspaper. Okay so it wasn't coming. But let me go ahead and read the article anyway. If wwe star, the big show may be one angry giant, but that didn't decide the scoff wwe fun taking away his slamming award. The big show have won slamming on several occasions throughout his career, and you would think that winning a an award as prestigious the slamming whippy something, you would want to show off to the company however. The big show. Big Show has no slamming a war on display at his home. Pico. WWe. Took it all. and. The big show had won slamming for tag team of the year with Chris Jericho in two thousand nine. He won in two thousand eleven for collapsing the ring with mark. Henry, that was a memorable one I I've seen that couple of time and especially during some promos. That was memorable. I mean the whole the whole deck Berggren collapse. And it was doing a. Doing a super at WWe vengeance that was the pay per view in twenty well. big show won a slam slamming for knocking out John Cena at the limit and again in twenty twenty thirteen for knocking out triple. H. He was part of teams Dina when day. When they won. March the March of the year in twenty fourteen for survivor theory. His final slamming you would but unfortunately, he didn't get to keep any of them. What? I when I was like. Okay. Okay. Because I I watched the slamming award wanted time and one of them have my other favorite lady sable one time, and of course you undertake well. But I thought, they keep them after they walk off the stage, and if you made tell me that they were you want, they will use the same. For, felicity article. In a recent interview TV guide big show revealed that wrestlers who win the slamming have to immediately immediately give them back because w wait a minute. Wait a minute. Wait a minute. Wait a minute. Wait a minute because wwe only have so many slam awards and they needed to keep. needed to keep reusing reusing down yet. So wait a minute. So it's not like the grammy the Oscars or Yeah. Now like the Grammy or Oscars or the Double Awards for Gospel or any other type of award already had so many wars you mean. What I would like. To this correctly. was I re- really reading this correctly where okay. Like. Say Like Table One award let's say like Oscar won an award a slamming ward. And and as she did give a speech and everything like that, and then go back to back whatever like that whatever they do. You mean to tell me what? Debut. Really. Because usually when these awards show they, they get the award and they get the person, the letter that or the car that said the name and everything like that that they wonder ward. When I read like, no, the GATT way not cat way. So I'm Reid University, the article to be told, you have to give your slamming back. I still. Can't believe. To be told, you have to give your slamming back once you Once you exit the state because they only have. They only have a certain number of slam he made. They didn't have enough for the ceremony. Wait a minute. Wait a minute. Wait a minute. Wait a minute wait. Wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait. Remember Way Way Way Way Way way hold it, cut hold it. You tell me a big wrestling promotion like the wwe. What ought to pyro with all the WRESTLEMAINIA moments would all the big name moment even even a big fancy wedding with a snake evolved and now in the Macho man and Elizabeth Story. You mean to tell me. that. They had no budget. For Enough Slam you wars. They had to reuse. What the person have one. We've done. Yes sold big show Theh was the not enough slamming made. But they're more than happy to order you want to put on your mantle. On the I'm I'm I WANNA know. I just find it funny that there's a person weighed in Lynn. You'll get offstage to take your stemming from you and walk onto the other I of the stage took to pretend it for the next award. Person probably had to work out. How the be show just. Mainly ESPO. The. With that comment. Then again, he big Hollywood star now and with his own Netflix show. Yeah. Yeah. A lot of Russell's are coming up with big. Show, and and and Of course, the wildcats this big thing with the movie and he did The case show that he did I liked it a lot something like what the gladiators or something like that or But anyway I like to that show was already but a Titan Titan that's what was thank you. CEO Will Tighten The CEO just gave me the name of it was Titan. Can't I can't think. So Now for the main event. I'm out of we'll do this now. So I won't forget just more FR happens and find out more stuff throughout the week. And then. Tired by the time I, get back tomorrow. At yes. I did say get back tomorrow because. If you didn't hear the last segment. Finally. Prince TJ. Be going back. To Church. At long last, even we're going GonNa get me used get used to get. It's GonNa take a while to get used to. But like I said in another segment, I will be fellowship in our free. Freeway, crossway Baptist Church. And? So. Don't be alarmed morning and then as both behind again, eighty seven. So I got to be very careful. Anyone they all want us to ugly math what I gotta get out the House I mean what can I do? I gotta get out the health but. Anyway I, wanted to do this before everything else happens or guest the case path out. You know trying to get used to everything. But anyway. So some a slam. It is the next It is not this Sunday. But the twenty third the matter of fact, I think was the week before the week before the anniversary almost I believe yeah. So. All right. I'm just GONNA, lead them at the comes by and I'll just make my prediction. Now may have trouble on because one of them is going to be the good one. I'm talking about the wwe championship through my McIntyre versus Renae Orton. Both. Very. Good Better Ran, your is from GonNa. As from where Popley will be moved to with the Saint Louis. Drew McIntyre our the WWe champion. and. Part of me. When, mine if? One wins. What mine is either one land? Now. I would say. That the do McIntyre is a already the champion. And ran your evolving been I believe he's already happened champion and he's destined to be in the wwe hall of fame. I'm GonNa Cordis draw because you never know what these two GONNA do at some slam. and. I mean many off your is definitely going into the hall and through McIntyre still have some time with the company. So that he still has his time in moments to shine. I want to say to McIntyre a win, but then again so can ran Yordan. is going to be a draw in me and draw. Though That's my thoughts on that. Okay. Universal Championship. Here we go. And it could be will be known at the few the dispensary. On. Braun Stolman..

Theaters are open, even like playgrounds and parks are available again so there's definitely a lot of progress. There are days where things field totally normal where people are kind of in that normal summer swing of things on there are moments that fuel super strange still. But Yeah I think southern. Oregon? You know we don't have the same. Density that you have north, so our community is is normal in a big way, thanks. Did you guys take up any hobbies during this shutdown? Or. Is it pretty? I mean I think I really got into gardening more than anything. To the point where we just there's no no weeds to be found. So I think that's been a big outlet monthly according to saying. We have a lot of space, so we could still go hiking and find some space outside that. Social distancing to the Max, there's nobody out there which is. We just got a puppy in January of this year and so with the shutdown. We've spent a lot of time with COSMO. He's very happy He gets all of our attention. He's almost never left alone. So, he has been very spoiled just. Like all the animals are like this is great. Headed pesticide. Well we could get right into the questions. Did you guys wanted to describe who you are and what you do, so? I'm Travis in smaller reporting. And where creative directors of Orchard Slam. The LLC based out of Medford Oregon and we host creative events for models photographers in local businesses kind of bring all that together at a unique location. And we host events in southern Oregon, but we also travel, so we've gone as far as salen down to Sacramento California and something we're excited about continuing to explore new cities and continue to travel while still hosting at home, the events on for those who are not familiar are really unique in that is sort of similar to taking a social media community, and then like bringing everybody together actually in person, so the people who. Are Collaborating together have an opportunity to get to know one another push the envelope a little bit more bears like a kind of like a social dance element to it where you're meeting. New People in really rapid succession, and so it pushes people creatively and really helpful way and establishes relationship that can then kind of continue on beyond the social network. Right where? People are actually connecting in person and enhancing their art in a way that is really real, and we've seen so much progress from a lot of the artists that have come to our events on photographers models. Those who take it really seriously and have thrived by the opportunity provided free events. It's really. It's really cool. It's really gratifying to see that kind of growth remain. Hide you guys. Come up with the idea are. How did your business come about emissions? Elks Lodge in Medford I was the first one that we ever did. Was this massive building that nobody had been in many years it wasn't elks lodge in with just under the was getting renovated by an owner that I needed to recording Get the permission shoot there with a model. And was really overwhelmed by the Space Hal amazing was estimates would be okay if I invited other person kind of did a group thing, and he's bringing the space back to life in a by now it's it's been space so he was interested in getting models and photographers in their kind of making a splash on instagram, getting it out there, that is being renovated coming back to life, and it was a fantastic reached out to I don't know. Maybe you'll get a group about twenty models and photographers, and we had a theme, and it was really loose. We didn't have much direction was Kinda trial, but somewhere within I. Working with each other and having a blast and I was looking around I was like this is this. Is something special like this? This could this. Yeah, this is this could go a lot of different regions, and what was really powerful as you know after that share experience in person, the way that the community of people who had participated in the event can continue to be connected. and provided positive feedback to the work that came out. Out of it, and then they collaborated together on future things, and so it felt like a really powerful moment that we wanted to replicate and the I mean. We did it again pretty shortly after and the same thing happened like I felt really magical, or so had bill. Yeah, I had grown, and so then it was kind of like okay..

"Hello and welcome to our fifteenth and final edition of Roland Garros relived Catherine feeling when I say that. Wistful. I'M GONNA I'm GonNa stop missing the past sort of like A. Double again I will. Note that is. Are You you're right I'm all right I can believe it's the fifteen. Well when I came up with the idea, let's just keep doing the daily podcast. Slams that we promised we would at the start of the, even though there's no tennis by watching lots of action, the past I thought it'd be easy. Turns out then we got lots of ideas about how to do it. Including interviewing everybody, we possibly could find relevant to each match, and that's what we've done again today. for Simona halep against Sloan Stevens 2018 final, and we've got down K. Hilas special guest coach to Simona Halep, and yes, it's been a long and tiring journey to get through today fifteen of these podcasts. We've enjoyed it immensely. I think it's fair to say. So let's get cracking with this one. <hes>. This match has a lot to it. Doesn't it the whole saga because? Simona. Is it three Grand Slam. She already played. At the to that point and not. Finals yeah, yeah. She played the two, thousand, fourteen and final, and lost in three to Sharapova. She'd played the two thousand, seventeen, French Open final and lost in three Ostapenko, and she played the twenty eighteen Australian Open. Final just a few months before they send those to Wozniacki all three senators. She played well in all of them. She had a lead in all of them and lost all of them. And it was becoming a real. Saga actually. Can help get over the, line. 2018, you say. You want some facts about two thousand eighteen. We. Well, it's not long ago, so you can probably remember most of this Prince Harry and Meghan markle married. Thing right I hosted a semi. Gathering in the garden, did you did you was on the invitation? To, clarify with a few friends and family that I wasn't like a rabid royalist, and it was just an excuse to make some cake and sausage rolls. The I remember seeing the pictures. Wasn't invited that. We can handle it. aretha Franklin and Stephen Hawkins' both died toys. R.. US went bankrupt. Not Quite sure why that to my list, but it is. I'm not sure nothing either. Toys R. US went bankrupt and student Matt's became Grad Matt became Matt. Two thousand eighteen was a big. And formation. Toys R. US, they might. How do you feel about that? No I think it was pressed. Until Lo que, but so I was reading it. I won't saw. Phillips scattered toys R. US In writing when I was about five. States have good stories. Did you speak for? Him! I remember being very excited because it was circuit in the gopher. Time, I was at my dad. That's a long time ago yet. Longtime Gay and I think it was. Joseph in mazing technical latrine time as well right Matt, wasn't even Baby Matt at this point. He's never even heard of these people. You don't know Gordon the gopher is Dima. No. Right so. Just, minded ninety correction. You didn't mention that freedom got promoted into anti eighteen. Thank you for pointing that out. Rather than to. And it didn't last long. It's as relevant as toys R. US, thank you I so. Yes, so we have this final on our hands between SMYRNA HALEP and Sloan seems and it was one that. I was I was looking forward to. A tennis match in. It's just in its own right of these two players battling it out because I thought it could be a really good final. And, should he? I think it ended up exceeding all of those expectations <hes> and You're quite right Catherine when you talk about the number of finals, the the salmon halibut already been in, and it was similar to play as we think of that. We've already covered here in this running relived series like even lendl trying to win. A A I slam Andy Murray course. It took him a few guys. <hes> Goran Ivanisevic but Simona Halla. Yeah, she already had three. She'd had Darren K Hill by his side for awhile by this point, so let's hear from him about the journey that led to this moments. Together for about three us before she played that particular foreign against flown in two thousand and nineteen and I guess the memory of what happened in two thousand, seventeen, against Ostapenko, as well was brought in the full fun of Amazon so for her to go out and do what she did. And now they say that <hes> both of you most destinations. You can't get there unless you go to refund pain a tough road and that was kind of the journey that some had had even before I came along. She might the final. Open and lost Marie shower. Piping, a great match on six four on the third added chances in that one, and then to lose to paint code and then the Knicks Jay come back, <hes> an inbetween that of course remember the final that she applied at the open against the Yankee which was another great match, and just even getting to the final at the Australian Open was itself, so I I think that helped a lot. She learned a lot from that particular tournament, and when she got to the final at a French. Against Launch, he had a little extra confidence and belief in a self to finally get it done.
