"I like that pick. Who do you got, Craig? I wouldn't accept money from Michael Pittman this year. I don't want anything to do with that. That was your number one guy last year. That was that was your the pendulum. You're my true love last year. Yeah, it was. It didn't exactly work out. Not exactly his fault. I still think he's a good player, but I just I don't love Anthony Richardson on the ground is maybe the best running quarterback we've ever seen through the air. He might be the worst. And I don't like anything I've seen in the preseason from Richardson passing. This offense on the Colts this year feels like the Bears last year. It's going to be like running the Navy offense. I don't want anything to do with Michael Pittman. He's way too expensive. Also, you didn't mention this piece of Pittman. I mean, not not the most durable guy. And Richardson has a couple of those throws like I'm wide open over the middle. Now I'm jumping up for the pass that's over my head and I'm getting blasted by safety. Stay away. So I really wanted to take Jonathan Taylor here. But there is the McCaffrey 2022 trade possibility where all of a sudden he's on some awesome team and somebody has him for 19 bucks and fears. So I'm not taking him. So I was really proud of this pick. It's Kadarius Toney. So there's three outcomes for a fantasy receiver like Kadarius Toney, right? One is he just never lives up to the hype and it's just super disappointing and you just regret that you take him. The second is that it's amazing and it actually works out. And he plays 16 weeks, including the playoffs, when you need him those last three. And it's just you struck while you hit a home run. And then there's the third one, which is the worst, which is the guy who tempts you, he tantalizes you with two or three weeks where he has like in week four, he has six catches for 190 yards and three TDs. You're like, oh, my God, I did it. I fucking landed on the moon with Kadarius Toney. And then in week seven, the red flags up. And then it's like he missed an injury rehab session. He's been suspended by the team for 72 hours and then he misses week eight. And then there's another injury. And then now he's just hogging my roster spot because I have no idea if he's going to come back or not. But he was the guy that had 190 yards in week three. So I have to hold on. I don't want it. I'm out. I'm just out. I don't want to deal with it. I still dream about I still dream about his game against Dallas in 2020. I believe it was week four. He had like 150 yards. He looked like the best receiver I've ever seen in my life. That one. I still think about that game and I still hope to get there one day. You know what? Kadarius Toney is a drug. He's kind of like Salvia. He distorts time because Craig and DK talk about Kadarius Toney's greatness, like Michael Thomas's greatness, except, you know, Salvia, it's like 10 minutes. It feels like three hours. I'm like, dude, he had two good games like two years ago. And I'm just I'm completely he was also like the third most important player on the Chiefs in the Super Bowl. Mind you. And she won them the game. The Chiefs played him for like five steps in the game. He was in two weeks to prep him for the game. Oh, my. Don't even get me started. You know what he is? What? He's the new Josh Gordon. I mean, different, different issues, but he's just so tantalizing and teams talk themselves into him. And you just I just don't trust it. I don't hear Josh Gordon, but he's allowed to play. But he just does it anyway. This this category is called I wouldn't take him even if he was free. He practically is. You can get him for a dollar or two. Who cares? It's worth a flyer. But it's a gateway drug. This is the problem with the Chiefs, DK, as I look at them big picture, because I talked about this Lombardi on Sunday, but I picked them in the Super Bowl last year. And the theory was their receivers are just good enough and Mahomes is so great and their offensive line is going to be good that he'll make it work. But now I feel like we've passed the point of no return to the to the degree that if they don't hit with Tony or one of their rookies doesn't actually, like, blossom into a major, major dude who's catching the ball than Kelsey? I cannot figure it out. Who's that? What receiver do you trust the most than the Chiefs? Probably Sky Moore, but again, we haven't really seen him yet. You know, he played in the Super Bowl. Yeah, he he lined up wrong in the Super Bowl and still caught a touchdown. But to me, yeah, I think so. The curious Tony thing is more of a bit than us being actually serious, but he I will say the way he moves is very, totally a bit. He's he does. He has rarely watch him play. He's like, all right, this guy's pretty special. And I was on the sideline. I think the one thing that the one actual analytical thing I will say about him is I think he's good on the scramble plays on the broken plays when Mahomes gets outside of pocket, extends plays. And that's really a huge part of Mahomes game. Tony's always seems to be in the right place when those plays happen. Maybe it's because he's in the wrong place where he was supposed to be running. But to me, that's the one like actual analytical thing I would say, other than he moves differently than everyone else on the field is. That's what gets me excited about. Craig, you know what? Fantasy football is enough pain and heartache and self-doubt and hating yourself. I don't need to also bring Kadarius Tony into that. I don't need to be tantalized by this talented dude. All right, next category.

"And last year, I picked them to win the Super Bowl, and I'm like, you know what, Mahomes? Just give them average receivers who'll make it work because he's got Kelsey. This year, it's like Kelsey and I think one of the top five worst receiver rooms that anybody has. I don't even know if you have to say who would you want in fantasy? I don't even know who I would pick. So just at some point, they're doing a little tap dance with that that I think they're gonna go too far with. Well, let's just take, people say preseason's meaningless, right? And I disagree. There's things you can find out in preseason. For example, last preseason, the Giants. Their execution was really good. It was right there in front of us, and I refuse to acknowledge it. I just thought they were gonna be bad. They were able to, they completed passes in the preseason. Their execution was good, and it carried over. Last preseason, with that receiving core, Mahomes played last preseason, and he averaged 8.6 yards per attempt. This preseason, he was at 7-1. They struggled against Arizona the first two drives, and they were trying. They were trying to score. Now, eventually, he got them down the field, but I'm with you. I'm not sure they're as good this point of the season as they were last year. I think it's gonna take some time, and do they have that guy? They got a lot of young receivers. I don't count, you know, Scantling, you know, as being a guy who's gonna take a giant step up. Or Sky Moore. I remember the Pats put Brady in this position one specific year in 06, the Rashe Caldwell-Jabbar Gaffney year, and Troy Brown, who was pretty done at that point. And Brady, that was one of his best seasons, and nobody was open the whole season. Like, nobody. Caldwell was probably their best receiver, and he was, you know, probably like a C-minus. But I do think, like, at some point, you can throw the position away to the point that if nobody can get open against a good defense, I don't care how good Mahomes is. We'll take a break, and then I gave you an assignment, and we're gonna talk about it. Get ready for the NFL season with incredible offers from FanDuel, America's number one sportsbook. "It's our Juan morale is high. We'll talk some football with Chris Simms, NBC sports a little later on. We'll talk the new baseball rules with Jeff passing from the mother ship. He'll stop by. Kansas City Chiefs had a big parade yesterday. And they're collecting receipts on. Everybody who didn't think that they would be here. And you know what? They have a valid argument. They're taking it too far. If you still have the maybe the greatest tight end of all time and top 5 all time quarterback and you got a Hall of Fame head coach, you're in pretty good shape, but they did, you know, they lost tyreek hill. They let him go, and now I think we thought, what would the offense be like? And then I was told, well, he'll just spread it around more. You had a lot of people predicting that maybe they're going to be a playoff team. I think people fell in love with Denver, fell in love with the Raiders. I had the Chargers going to the Super Bowl, but you know, Kansas City is not a new story. Everybody's looking for the new story. And that's what happened. It felt like it was the Buffalo Bills and everybody else in the AFC. It was Josh Allen. He was going to be the MVP. But I'm going to read something to you. This is sort of an indicator. There's a lot of criticism about the chiefs when they traded tyreek hill. This is last summer. So Patrick Mahomes will continue to have to play at a high level won't have as many big plays over the top with Travis Kelce juju Smith Schuster Hardman, Marquez Valdez scantling, sky Moore is a rookie second rounder, likely have to battle veterans here. The offense struggled last season weeks 8 through 13, they scored 22 points or less, but allowed 17 points or less, but one all those contests. Furthermore, the chiefs lost some defensive backs. They lost a tyron Matthew so, you know, they were talking about all these things that they didn't have.

"Of she beats like staying in darkness. I don't want to see it. Today's guests. From NBC sports, Peter king. Emmy Award winning actor, Henry Winkler, co host of CBS mornings, Nate pearlson, and now. It's rich I saw yeah, everybody. Welcome this edition of the rich eisen show. All this news that we say today, we guarantee its realness and its freshness. And there's no fake news here. If we say anything that's not accurate, it's just we don't know. Does that make sense? Good to see you over there, Chris brockman, how are you, brother? Hey, I'm great. DJ Mikey D is indeed not good morning. Well, all the candles are pretty much done, man. I get to get amber at wood street candles to send us some more. But yeah, that would have a candle. There we go. But one of the good ones. Yeah, look. We're right here on the Roku channel. Peter king is going to join us in about 18 minutes time. For instance, the news being real. He found out from Andy Reid, not in the Super Bowl, the two touchdowns that put the chiefs up for the first time, and then up by 8, those two wide open touchdowns to kadarius Tony and sky Moore who, by the way, weren't on the chiefs at this point last year, he found out it's the play from straight from an place called corn dog. And the fact that I lead the show with this just proves to you, there's no more football being played. And wait to hear what we're really going to dig into in a second. Peter is going to join us on this program. Derek Carr as we all knew was going to happen. He's got he got released yesterday. He is a free agent right now. He could talk to whoever he'd done well, please. He won't be official to the new league gear begins. But yes, yes, he agreed to turn. Agreed to terms? Which one does the new lead? I believe it is march 14th. Yeah. Because I got march 11th march 12th. I got an email in the middle of the Super Bowl asking, can I do that show? Am I free to do that program on NFL network? Which is great after 20 years. 20 years ago, they're like, you're doing that. Now they're checking your availability. March 15th, a month. March 15th, the negotiation period. Legal tampering. That's what I'm doing. It's 13th for the 15th. I'm doing the show on the 13th. Yeah. Yeah, baby. Legal tampering. Oh, baby. Good times. Good times, right here on the old rich eisen show with Peter king. We also have on this program, the great Nate burleson, who nailed the winner of Super Bowl 57, the final score of Super Bowl 57 in the MVP of Super Bowl 57. And the final throws of the 8 and a half hour edition of NFL game day morning on Sunday and we figured he should come here and take a victory lap. We could have taken a victory lap, I can't say he's the biggest Patrick Mahomes fan. I know there's stone street, there's Rudd. There's all those Kansas City folks, but he's definitely the biggest Patrick Mahomes fan. I know that's ever kick started a jukebox into working. He is Henry Winkler. And his love affair with Patrick Mahomes became full bloom when he was on this program in June. June bloom, when he just interrupted me and asked me if I knew Patrick Mahomes, and then we all know from that appearance, Patrick Mahomes found out about Henry's love and he then invited him to hang out with his family when they came here to Los Angeles to play the Chargers midseason and then now he's the Super Bowl MVP and Patrick Mahomes is now in the Pantheon of all time greats. And I personally think Henry Winkler put him there. And that's the way I feel. You see what Henry has to say? As you know, he is one of the greatest humans on Planet Earth. And I figured what better way to set things up for the crazy ass parade in Kansas City, Missouri today than by having Henry Winkler, China. It is pretty cool that we know Patrick Mahomes, though. We do know Patrick well, it's cool. Yes. It is pretty cool. And that if somebody comes on here and speaks something into this microphone, technically it can be spoken into existence. And I think that's a very powerful platform that we have here on the Roku channel and SiriusXM in this terrestrial radio affiliate and Odyssey in our YouTube page in a rich eisen show collection video on demand service. And our podcast comes with great responsibility, rich. It does indeed, which means we better get the darkness therapy facts, right? It couldn't have been more wrong yesterday. We'll hit on that later on. Our bag. Corrections. And sorry. That'll be later on. You can't just say it's fine just because you are the most wrong out of all of us being wrong, Chris. Hold on a second. Research and things on a show that's airing. You know that as we're wearing. We'll get to that later. You guys saw me on weather. That's

"Did it. That way. Al Michaels always says cheeky. He wants to keep it cheeky. It's pretty good. He was great on, you know, and they're down to the ten and this might be of interest to some. But yeah, I liked it the way I would do it. No, I don't miss doing it now because no one, here's what's interesting, Jimmy. No one really yeah, and it was really letters and I'm like going back to the 80s, but even the early, oh, you told me this would win and I'm annoyed at you. I got very little at that. Very little 'cause I'm doing my best. But no one's saying that, well, because yours was, I think 'cause you did it in more of a fun way than getting a gambling segment. You weren't doing the Jimmy, you know, when Jimmy the Greek did it, that was like, you know, you're thinking, okay, this guy's in the hallways with the getting backdoor information. And you did it, it was a fun entertainment bit with little gambling mixed in. I did a little more backdoor discussions than people know, but I wasn't getting the assistant trainer to tell me on Friday morning. Of course, Friday morning, you don't know if a guy's going to play anyway, right? So there was none of that. But I have my teams. So there were certain years of my teams didn't do well, it's like the proverbial foot in the bucket. But we had, we had more good seasons than quote, bad Caesars. And it was fun making 5 picks and rooting in the room to go three and two every week. Right. Now betting on the Super Bowl is, you know, Americans, American pie and fireworks, the eagles minus one and a half against the chiefs if Chris Berman were to make a legalized wager where would he go? On Super Bowl Sunday. Well, as we speak and we should tell your viewers or listeners, it's what Tuesday. So we don't know that, oh my God, Patrick Mahomes is ankles worse. I mean, we don't think so. So we have to take that into consideration, although to try to predict what that will be 12 days from when you and our almost to his almost impossible. Well, there's no spread. The beauty is you get to pick a winner. Really? I mean, you know, Philly couldn't buy one and you don't, it could be a two point spread, but it's not going very much farther than that. I don't believe as we speak. I would lean to the chiefs as we speak, but that's not a, again. No, actually, here we are assuming mahomes is fine and Kelsey looked fine. They ended the game with one receiver. Who you know about? I mean, Tony was hurt. And juju. But truth to his hurt. And sky Moore was used as any return they used three punt returners in that game. He fumbled like three times earlier this year. Well, he had the big return that we all saw on that final minute. He had another one earlier. So do they have receivers? Do they, but it's hard to say, who will have a better game the Philly front wall, which is Reddick and my God, they play 7 or 8 deep, including Brandon Graham and Fletcher COX-2 guys drafted by Andy Reid when he was there. Like Andy still has three players on the eagles, the therapy and Jason Kelce, who are big contributors, right? Yeah. I'm digressing. So I think I would, I would, you know, Patrick Mahomes is special. We all know that. I would lean to the chiefs, but that's far from a, oh my God, why are we even looking at this game? The eagles had a walk over in San Francisco, they're not that good. I'm not saying that at all. 38, 7 and 31, 7. I don't care what you say. We put this up on the show. I don't know if you saw it, which was interesting. And I may get this run. There are only 5 teams that won the division and the championship came by, but I wish at 17 or more. I don't have the graphic in front of me. And they were some of the most legendary teams. They were the 89 niners. They were the 85 bears who shut everybody out of the NF and 46 to ten. They were the, oh, the 62 packers went 13 and one and beat the Giants at Yankee Stadium. So, and I think it was the 88 niners, which they were not well, through the 40 night of their Joe Montana, and I'm forgetting one other. Or maybe no, maybe the eagles were the and will they. So I never thought to look at that. Yeah. If you're an eagle fan, you kind of like what that looks. If you're an eagle fan, you better realize Patrick Rome's isn't Daniel Jones and Brock purdy slash Josh Johnson slash Christian McCaffrey. But they're going to have a good time thinking that he is. That's true. You're going to have a good time out in Arizona. Oh my goodness. We've talked about prime time. We've talked about the Swami. Obviously another thing you're known for with a nickname, which I'm sure you're sick of talking about. But here's my question. Have you ever had an athlete come up to you, reach out to you that didn't like their nickname? That Chris Berman nickname? Very few. Because that's a good question. So it's a funny story. So 80s 90s when I was doing the baseball time I'm not either the games or sports center at night and I did ten sports centers a week blah blah blah as we all did. They kind of like the little notoriety. You know, none of them were derogatory. That's important to know. Right. Mike witt, Mike Jim wit. No, I would never use it, you know? So Kevin bass, good guy, really good guy. You know, Houston was played a long time. They all started out dealing with Houston. He came up because, you know, of course, I'm not, I don't know if I love the nickname. Because he was large mouth bass. And I said, well, I don't mean anything. He goes, I know you don't, he was very nice. I know you don't mean anything wrong by it, but it makes me sound like a big mouth or a complainer. And I, you know, I thought for 5, ten seconds not to be flipping at all. I went, all right, let me ask you this. How small mouth bass? He goes, go with it. And so. We went with it. So not many because it was all in fun and never at their expense. Yeah, I meant it more. It was like, did someone maybe say like, oh, mine should be more fun or more, not that they were mad about it, you know? Well, George Brett came up, I mean, that story has been written. George, and I remain great friends. Early 80s, how come we don't have more nicknames? Well, the royals, and George, are you kidding? I mean, well, what's my, I said, well, George, you were already George Brett before I got on TV. I'm not calling you like wonder Brett. We're Johnny Bench, they're already Johnny Bench. I mean, Johnny Bench is a layup nickname, right? Like, you could come up with 18. Not doing that. So it was kind of like a blank canvas, but you were grandfathered in almost like an NHL player who was playing without the helmet, Jimmy. They're already playing, they get to keep the helmet off. And at some players have two nicknames, 'cause I think when I talked about watching some old prime times, like I said, I love that era with natron means. And I always thought it was natron means business. Yes. But then I think you had another one for him, because I remember watching it, now I can't remember what the other one was. It was really because it was on the delivery too, because you bold guys over as you remember, they tried means business. Now, the ones that have more than one nickname, there were a couple in baseball with perfect. That Mike Felder. Remember him, it is an outfielder with a few others. Well, depending on what position he played, he was left center or right Felder.

"As I think back, I guess the most embarrassing play was the missed passer appearance column Ramsay sculptor years ago. But this one was up there. Having to do a do over on a key third down in the AFC title game in the fourth quarter is pretty bad. Being at that rams saints game was one of the best moments of my life. Just complete and total chaos. Just absolute. Absolute. Bedlam. Oh, well, I still remember that. I still remember. I still remember standing next to nickel Robbie Coleman and I was, it was like me and two other reporters and he was like, well, let me see the play. And we showed him the play. And then he and then he goes, oh yeah, I got him. That was amazing. It's so good. It's so good. And I know you like me. Have just a part of darkness. Just a black heart. It's kind of so much more fun when it happens to the home team. Yes. And you just get all the infuriated people immediately reacting. You don't have to go to social media and see what people are saying. You're right there for the angriest people in the world being upset about that. And you get to kind of yell. Be jerk about it and be like, yeah, I have no rooting interest here. This is just funny. Yes. Oh man. A couple of a couple of ram notes on this. Number one, I mentioned the canary is Tony injury. And by the way, the challenge at the beginning of this game was pretty absurd by Andy Reid only because it looked like so Carrie stoney drops the touchdown. It took tough catch it. I don't want to overstate it like he dropped it like a bounce off his chest. Tough catch didn't survive the ground. It was really difficult to see because he was like on top of the ball and the side judge was blocked on it, it was a tough call for the officials. I think they base the call on the fact that Tony got up and started walking off the field like Charlie Brown. With the sad music playing and they were like, oh, okay, well, he must have dropped it incomplete. And the chiefs challenge it a minute later. And I just don't know what would have happened because I don't know if Tony sort of very suddenly walked off the field and then he was like, I caught it and it's like, I don't know, usually you're waving your arms and throwing a fit if you think you caught it. That was super weird. But Tony was out and they missed him as a receiver, obviously. But sky Moore ended up, you know, the good receiver ended up going back and returning punts again, which is something they got away from because he repeatedly proved unable to catch punts, which is an issue. Earlier this season, so he's taken off upon return duty. He was back on it and he ended up basically having the, we're gonna get to the other key play here on that drive, but that was the biggest play that set up the game winning field goal was his 29 yard punt return there. Yeah. Yeah. And a great game by sky more, by the way. I thought that was sort of a breakout performance and did earn him a major shout out in my Super Bowl predictions, which on SI dot com today. You, by the way, edited a just beautiful 9-1-1: Lone Star joke into my copy and I just wanted to tell you live on the podcast that that was really well done and it made me smile. It was my lone contribution to those 3000 words. Yeah, I think sky is one of those players that if jerick McKinnon didn't break out the way that he did this year, I think you could have used him in the backfield a lot more and I still think you might see that a little bit in the Super Bowl. I think that might be interesting challenge the eagles horizontally a little bit. Yeah, yeah. And obviously the play that set up the field goal was Joseph esai, who played well in this game. And I don't say that as sort of a pat on the back type of thing, but if you were sort of listing the Bengals top 5 players in this game, he was one of them and obviously he picks up the unnecessary roughness call. Good call. I mean, it would seem like a quarterback or not type of conversation. Mahomes, his almost his second foot was down on the white stripe by the time that push came. And I get the instinct that is taking over in that case where you're, you know, you see the first down marker and you're trying to keep it. But the thing, I mean, man. It's like they weren't in field goal range. The chiefs were maybe going to try and throw a quick pass to the sideline, get out of bounds, and then kick a 50 something yarder, but that would have been like a 60 yarder from where they were on the field at that point, and man, what a bummer. Yeah. I have to say this to and nobody is nobody's really going to care, but it means a lot to me and I think the fact that he talked after that game, I give him all the credit in the world to step up in today's climate and to just allow yourself to be and again, I think a lot of the reporters, like if anyone wants to read like a good column and I think our columnist Mike Rosenberg did a great job, he wrote about that. He was in Kansas City. I mean, I think a lot of us have more compassion and humanity than we're given credit for. But the players don't know that in that moment, you know, you've just done the worst thing, I mean, let's hope to God, this is the worst thing that ever happens to him in his life, right? And this is the worst moment. And you have to get up there and you got to talk to people about it and you got to be asked questions about it and you know it's going to be clipped and played on every radio station and TV station and blah blah blah blah blah. But I think it deserves to be said that that guy, anybody who stands up and talks and displays an ounce of humility or vulnerability in that moment, I give them a huge amount of credit. I think that's so hard to do. Absolutely. Good for him. And before I move on to the other game, a last thing I was gonna mention. I think the one predictable thing that happened in this game was like Chris Jones singled up on some of these Bengals walkers was just a monstrous mismatch and in the same way Jonathan Allen needs a nickname in order to sort of up his Q rating here. Christians is on prime time a lot. We see the chiefs a lot. So he's not quite as undercovered here, but man, he is, he's easily top 5 defender in the NFL, and boy, did he play like it in this game? Holy smokes. I mean, especially when he was lined up as an edge. He was just and it just goes to show like you think you need speed off the edge and quickness and it's not that Chris Jones isn't fast, but like if he's just running in right at the quarterback and he just topples the other guys over just move someone out of the way and not be slowed down in any way. Yeah, I mean that's just as good. And boy, now here's what you can do that against the Bengals, you can't you won't be able to do that against the eagles. And we'll talk a little bit about that because I charted lane versus Bosa in that game and some of the stuff that they were doing I thought was really interesting and some of the stuff that I think they will do to

"And the degree of difficulty on every play has to make is just so incredibly high and he's making them. You saw, on the other side, a little bit of canary is Tony mixed in here. And it's got to be terrifying for the rest of the NFL. Yeah, I like that he did I miss that. Did he kind of, did he just hop with one leg into the end zone to be funny or was he was something going on? Do you know what I'm talking about? Yeah, no, I think he was being, I think he was being funny. It wasn't that funny. Man, I thought it was kind of funny. I mean, so let's say that Gary Graham link catches a wide open touchdown, you got room to run. Are you doing anything? Or are you just crossing the goal line and handing the ball to the ref? I don't know. It really put me on the spot here. What would I do? I don't think I'd have a good enough idea. I think I just, I might just step out of the one because someone else might have a better celebration. Yeah. That's cool. I was going to do, I think when in doubt you always do the Willy Wonka, right? You limp with the cane, and then you do some sort of a flip. A little tumble, a little somersault, and then a little tumble and a little something. Yeah. That's what I think. That's good. Okay. All right, I'll be open to it. Yeah, other than that, Patrick Mahomes is the best player on the planet right now. The canaries Tony stuff, it's interesting because he's not tyreek hill. But he from a ability to separate and then inability to create after the catch is the closest thing they had to Tyra Kelly. You know, sky Moore and Michael Hardman can both run. And I think they're probably straight line faster than canary stoney, but they don't have that. The initial quickness, the suddenness, or the just sort of spatial reasoning that canary is Tony has. And that's why this is, this is going to be, it's going to be a bummer for the rest of the NFL. And you always have had Justin Watson receiver of the MM two B. That you can just you can plug in there too. Yeah, I think adding, it's what smart teams do, where you present something and then you are able to layer it and then you're still running your core concepts, but now it looks completely different, right? And then you layer it again and it looks completely different. And I think kadarius Tony just flavors this all in a different way. Which is why you treat it like you do if you're the Jaguars and you almost have to get spicy and like onside kick right at the beginning of the game, you know? It was neat. I think more teams should just do that. Against good teams because you're just like, yeah, I need more possessions to beat you. I have to, I have to have the ball more than more than you do.

"Obviously Brady responsible a lot of them. Seattle 94, Green Bay 92, Pittsburgh 91, New Orleans 90. There's the only teams that have averaged ten wins for the last 9 years. KC, the tyreek thing, I think, through people off, Kyle turned the TikTok camera. Not the real camera. Should I turn a little TikTok camera? TikTok. I think there's a lot of curry 2022 warriors parallels here. Talk about where it's like, in a way, this team makes more sense for mahomes, the same way that 22 warriors just building it around him and just all these guys who knew how to play with them. I love tyreek hill for the chiefs. I respected him. I feared him. I thought he was one of the most incredible deep threats. He terrified teams. He tilted the field. He won games. He won. He won games, the Chargers. He won that game. I'm also a results guy. You know, he played three playoff games last year at 285 yards, three touchdowns. In the regular season. 1239 yards, 9 touchdowns. You can replace 80 to 90% of those stats. If I'm the chiefs, I would much rather have the money in the offensive line and protect my homes and give him time and I can find receivers. We're in like the receiver boom of all time right now. Confine receivers and running backs all over the place. And I think that's I just like how they tilted the structure how now they're going to run the ball more, which is going to make it a little easier for mahomes to find seams downfield versus the way it was before. And I'm in. I think this is the best team. The communication lines in that building are wide open. So anyone can walk into anyone's office and it's a very open place and I will tell you that Patrick Mahomes was not shocked when they traded tyreek hill. Patrick Mahomes was not finding it out from a tweet. Patrick Mahomes does not finding it out from a bottom line ticker. So I assume there were conversations had. And like, hey, here's our plan. Just so you know, this is what we're doing. And I'm sure mahomes is like, gosh, that sucks. Yeah, but what did they find? We'll be okay. We'll figure it out. And they may regret trading him, but to get all those first round picks to add, I mean, we talked about Nick Bolton, this car laughed this, this rookie who is, you know, he was playing water polo in Greece less than a decade ago. He's a first round pick out of Purdue. He's been amazing this training campaign. He's a rookie. Well, that's another, that's another thing for the case with them. You have that one good draft heading into the next season on top of the talent. It seems like they crushed a draft. They crushed your app every year and Brett veach runs one of the best front offices. And it's like, you add car lap this, you add mcduffie, the corner that they got out of Washington, they've got players, Pacheco is going to play a role. Sky Moore is going to play a role. And my whole point is, this is not one of those deals where mahomes is going to feel like his hand is tied behind his back. They love tyreek and to a man. Everyone in that building wishes nothing but the best for him. But he wanted $30 million. They weren't going to be paying him that. And he turns 30 soon. They weren't going to, you know, and you could argue that they're cutting their losses at the absolute perfect. It's tyreek hill going to be better this year. I don't know. I would imagine it's a long shot to say he's going to put up better numbers and be a better player with the Miami Dolphins. What's with the chiefs? Okay. We're aligned. There are ten to one win the Super Bowl in FanDuel. They are plus 6 50 to be the number one seed in the AFC. Which I thought was a fun bet and they are plus one 55 to win the division. Which I think the ads may be dropped, maybe that's like plus one 50 now, but to me, it's Denver, the Chargers and we might as well do the Chargers now. Everyone's in on the charger. Everyone's. Does that scare you? Is your hand shaking as you pass the flag? What do you do? What do you do with the Chargers? Colin coward, I was watching his show. He has the Chargers of the third team out of 32 in the NFL. Chargers have made the playoffs once in the last 9 years. Justin Herbert for all his wonder and his greatness has not been to the playoffs yet. This is year three. They added players on defense. They have a very good team, but I'm going to wait and see. I'm not putting all my chips on the Chargers and I'm not saying I don't believe in staley or I'm not saying that. I don't think that they can get it done in a big spot because Herbert hasn't done it before. Herbert can do it. He will do it. Herbert was amazing in that week 18 game against the Raiders. They're 17 times in the final drive and got them to overtime. Herbert, not a problem. But that's a funky thing, man. And to suddenly crown the Chargers before they can even get over the hump, just based on Khalil Mack and JC Jackson a couple acquisitions. I'm not going there yet. I haven't seen it in the big spots yet and they lose too many games and too many weird ways for me to suddenly say the bad juju's gone. And the coaching thing last year was a real issue for them. First of all, stale is a defensive coach. The defensive way they were getting torched for most of the season. Not a great sign. But then the end of the game stuff, the fourth and short stuff was alarming. I actually think that team probably cost themselves more success. Than any other team last year, there may be Minnesota. Well, we celebrated that stuff early. Like they beat KC in KC and we were like, holy shit, I love this code. And then they play the Chargers on a Thursday night game. I play the chiefs on Thursday night game late in the season. I remember, we were on $1 million picks all in on the chiefs for big. And the charter skip going for it on fourth and weren't converting and we were like, we're alive. And then mahomes will take care of it from there. I've spoken to Brandon a bit this off season, like he knows he's a defensive coach and what happened last year on defense was unacceptable. And that's part of the reason they went not only got JC Jackson, who's excellent and Khalil Mack, who's finally healthy, but also this Sebastian Joseph day, the big man inside from the rams who, not a huge name, and played next to Aaron Donald, but it's a really good player. They believe that they've addressed it on paper, but I gotta see it.

"Going to be at what 18 points heading in the halftime and we completely F that up and now all of a sudden in the fourth quarter, what blah blah blah. I just, I feel like this is going to be like his Clint Eastwood unforgiven walking into the bar year. And the fact that they can actually block for him this year, I think that matters more than any other subplot. You Ruiz, it seems like you agree. Yeah, I think it's gonna be easier for them to get explosive place too. Now that tyreek is gone like defenses aren't going to be selling out and we've already seen preseason. They're kind of going back to that old Andy offense, like two running backs, multiple times. And when you, when you play those formations, the defense has no choice but to put a safety in the box. And if they're getting one high again, I don't care if it's not tyreek hill. Like sky Moore is going to eat Hardman's going to eat Kelsey's still good. Marques? Yeah, I mean, probably some random guy. We don't even know who the guy is. Danny. Mahomes, mahomes. Yeah, I agree. There's like this weird thing this off season where mahomes is kind of underrated. And if you're like, oh yeah, mahomes is the best quarterback in the NFL. Some people will debate that. But he's the most talented quarterback in the NFL. And he has the best offensive mind. Well, I remember so like and I talked about that after the tyrique trader about basically shifting the spending, right? And instead of having all their spending on the QB and the receiver and then you just keep your fingers crossed that your line can block. They kind of went the other way and now they have an offensive line. Kelsey, who probably has one or two elite years left, depending on how you feel about tight end histories. And mahomes. And I like this strategy more. I think it's a lot easier, there's so many receivers now. The freaking rams, who would that undrafted guy at these guys? These guys fall out of the woodwork and it's like, all right, I guess this guy or the Dallas punt returner. It just seems like over and over again. You can get at least a little lucky with that with that position. And I get it. To spend $25 million a year on tyreek, how are you going to be able to address all this other stuff? So Casey, I think that's probably the safest bet for me. So their schedule, it's fine. The AFC west is going to be tough obviously. But I'm not too intimidated by that. I love that they get Arizona early. That I think would be my pick. So let's all my picks. Let's go around. I like Tennessee attending Kansas City ten to one in Minnesota 22 to one like a sprinkling. I think would be my two. What do you have solak? Who are you taking? Yeah, I like chiefs ten to one. And then I would probably also still take the bills at plus 6 50, which I know is chalk, but also in a bit like this. There's no such thing as chalk. I just think the bills are going to be very good. I mean, if you do that, you put a hundred on each, you're basically putting 200 on plus 6 50 or ten to one. So I get it. What do you got, Danny? I'm going to stick with the Chargers just barely tend to one and then I want to throw out, even though I kind of crushed my dreams on this with a repeat thing, but the cowboys at 13 to one. They're just going to run a lot of plays and Jack is still good and they have a lot of talent with CD Pollard, Zeke, I know that everyone's done on Zika but he's still good. I don't know. And then the defense. Ru is? I'll go with the bugs that are plus 9 50. And I'm going to throw out a team that we haven't mentioned. I'm going to say the packers. I think that defense is going to be really good and they might be the turnover team this year that gets that variance and then Aaron Rodgers. Packers 16 to one. One thing that is fun is if you check teams that have won this recently, very often the quarterback of this high scoring team wins MVP in three of the last 5 years that was packers of 2020, ravens in 2019 and chiefs in 2018. That quarterback, Rogers Lamar mahomes, one MVP. So for example, if plus 2200 for the Vikings just isn't spicy enough for you, Kirk Cousins baby. 41. Those are max ads. But that's the thing is if you go and you if you are like, I want to bet Patrick poems for MVP. It's plus 900. You can also just bet cheese to be the highest scoring team at plus 1000. It's not the exact same bet, but it's pretty highly correlated. There's some weird odds in here, like Cleveland was 21 to one. I was trying to think of any scenario where Cleveland, which Jacoby brisset for 11 games would be the highest spring team of the league. And literally couldn't come up with any Arizona was 20 to one, 20 one to one, which I thought was weird. The eagles at 17 right next to the ravens was also weird. Because it's like, yeah, sure, the offense is similar. The quarterback's a little different. And I don't know if we can be placing these guys in the same tears just yet. I've got to say as I was doing all my fantasy homework, I was like, mildly shocked by Jalen hurts season last year. In a good way. Like, yep. There were some numbers. In my head, I was just, I guess, maybe leaving the Tampa Bay playoff game residue of, he was just so overmatched. And it was just so clear that you're not really going that far if Jalen hurts is your quarterback, at least that last year's incarnation of him. But then you look at the actual stats and it was classic. It was like how the Wnt stats versus what we actually saw with Wentz were like two different animals. I don't trust quarterback stats the same way. Kirk, 25 minutes ago. Well, Kirk dac thing was my only point. I don't know if I trust either of those guys. Dak had one of the all time meltdowns at the end of a game in a crunch time situation that we've seen the last ten years. Everybody just shrugs it off. Deck, smiling, great guy. Third and a game on the line, you have to choose dacher curve. Who do you want to have the ball?

"For a solid chunk of his of his senior season high school, he was the number one recruit in his class. Yeah. And Jack Jones sound I don't think he was number one, but again, it's the same thing where he's a 5 star recruit and obviously that potential wasn't recognized USC in the Arizona state, but the Patriots see that and say, well, there's something here. There's clearly something here. Can we tap into maybe what that detour, the year off juco, that might have put him off the track? Can we put him back on the track? I think that's the thought process here. Again, and I feel this way with a lot of the picks. They made throughout the three days. The NFL drafts about adding good players. They added good players. The questions for me are more about the guys they did not, you know, somebody at the chat brought up collusion here. I look at this point in the draft, whether it's Jalen or morte Davis, whether it's McCollum, whether it's Tariq woolen, right? To me, it's about, you know, there's going to be this draft is the potential to have a lot of revisionist history. I think Jack Jones can play. It's just did they take, I think they took a guy, it's just that they take the right guy. Yeah, we're going to be playing that game, I think, with this draft, like you said, for pretty much every pick that they made. I would say with Cole strange is not necessarily comparing him to players at his position. It's just comparing him to players that went in there and hit daxton hill is going to be the one. Right, daxton hill went after him, quay walker went to pick after the Patriots original Duffy went with the pick the Patriots traded to Kansas City. Kair elam went to buffalo a few picks after quay walker. So those are going to be the guys that you're going to say, okay, well, you had in this ten pick range. We had all this defensive talent and we took the guard. It's not so much about Cole strange. It's not so much even about the guard position. It's just really more about who they could have taken. With taekwon Thornton in the second round, sky Moore, George pickens Alec pierce. They all went in that ten to 15 pick range. So we'll see. For better or worse, that's what these guys are up against. They're up against comparing the guys that at their position specifically in most cases, the guys that went around them and the guys that were clustered around them on the board. All right, let's move on to the running back that the Patriots selected in the fourth round, one 27 Pierre strong from South Dakota state..

"So I guess if you're going offense, maybe you're looking at the quarterbacks, if you're going defense uh, it's because they're not really married to any of these guys. It's still a lot of old regime holdovers, but yeah, I don't know, I could see them going linebacker at the spot. There are a couple of good linebackers on our board at this point. Here's what I would say, philosophically. It was interesting. And kind of digging around last off season or this past year on the coaching search stuff. Dan Campbell's name came up once or twice and as like a knot now, but probably soon kind of thing. And I just don't think, especially if you brought in like a rams, executive, to spearhead this turnaround. This ain't gonna be like a 6 year thing. I think if the lions don't win now, you know, I think it's gonna be hard for Dan Campbell to stay. So I think they're doing stuff like this needs to happen now. We need to win like 7 games this year. That would be my philosophy. So if I'm Dan Campbell, I'm pounding the door for like a playmaker, like a guy that's gonna help me score points, a guy that's gonna help me win games. So I don't know. I like to receiver for them, but you know, quarterback is interesting, right? I mean, 'cause you're gonna have a hard time recruiting, right? Yeah. You're gonna have to have a hard time recruiting a veteran guy. You know, I don't think Jimmy Garoppolo is coming there. If he has a full no trade exactly, something like that. Maybe somewhere along the line here, they end up nabbing Baker Mayfield somehow. But I don't know. And just because Christian Watson's on the board and he looks so cool, you know? He looked really cool in that offense. Went to think it's like if you need immediate playmaker, the top receivers left on our board are likely Christian Watson and sky Moore, both non power 5 guys, not that that's the end all be all, but do you want to sort of put your chips in that, I don't know what this metaphor is. On their table, is that how poker works everyone has their own table and like a little tray table and you just, I don't know. Anyways, it's Christian Watson out of North Dakota state and then sky more out of his central. No, he's western Michigan. Western Michigan. I have watched quite a bit of him. He blew people away with sort of initial quickness. I am nervous about his transition to the NFL. I think is how I sum that up. What about like, I don't know. Do you think that we could just do this for our sake because it's our mock draft and screw everybody else and we're right in there wrong. What about your boy Khalil shakir here? Oh man. Let's just, let's just take the board and like just like blow it into a million pieces, you know? In my personal mock draft. I mean, he was gone at like four. But the Gary gramling guys, the triple G mock drive. We can just do it. I mean, look, if you are a if you are a Lions fan, just know that this is, you know, sort of fill in your favorite wide receiver. So I will do that..

"That they do and I don't put a ton of stock and that type of stuff because you have tape, right? So you don't necessarily need to watch guys against air. But if you watch sky more run those routes that they did last night on the field, I thought he was the smoothest route runner out of the group and just somebody that was really effortlessly getting in and out of his cuts. He looks like a fantastic fit for the Patriots and that Julian Edelman type mold. Yeah, he also had the biggest hands of any receiver ten a quarter, ten and a half, something like that. You see it. There's a picture online of him catching the ball and you can't even really see the ball behind his hands. I have it on my combine recap on 95 the sports of dot com. Yeah, really strong night for him. I don't know that any one player did more for his stock pound for pound. I'd say it's probably either sky more or it's Calvin Austin, right? Yes. I mean, if I had to pick the biggest winner among the wide receivers last night, I would have to, I'd probably go more. It'd be one of those two, but I'd probably go more. Yeah, I think with sky Moore, a lot of people, Daniel Jeremiah said it on the broadcast. Now he's not getting out of the second round. A chance of drafting sky more, they're going to have to take them with their second round pick. The one thing that I really liked about more when you watch him is that he gets open early in the route, right? He gets such early separation where there's release package and with his stem work that quarterbacks are going to love throwing to him because you just know that he's open quickly or you can progress past him quickly if he's not getting open, but just somebody that can be a security blanket that can move the chains that can get up the field a little bit now that we know that he runs that four four one and can create with the football in his hands. Like I said multiple times now Julian Edelman, I think is actually a legitimate comp for this guy. I think he runs faster though and then Julian Edelman, Edelman was like a low four 5s guy when he worked out of the combine. So a faster potentially in a straight line, Julian Edelman is I think what we're looking at here was sky more love that Calvin Austin you mentioned him from Memphis really, really good workout. Basically the best athlete there besides Christian Watson. 5, 8, a 170 pounds soaking wet. That's the issue with him. Talk about Juan del having a smaller frame. This guy's a tight, this guy's tiny, right?.

"B, even like maybe he's more like a Dion brancher or a Troy Brown type, right? Bigger than those guys, I think, a little bit in terms of height. But those are the things that I think are interesting conversations to have if you're the Patriots is a down the field vertical receiver really what you want to pair with a guy like Mac Jones. So a couple of things then. It's an interesting question. It's a very good question. I think there's other opportunity. I don't think you need to use if you're talking about getting Mac as Julian Edelman. I don't think you need to use a first round pick on that guy. Right. That's fair. This class is so deep in the slot. From sky Moore to Juan Dale Robinson, Bo Melton, who is one of the few wide receivers who actually had a good way in and we'll see what he does in the four day tonight. Bo Melton stock may be about to skyrocket boat Melton might be like zoomed in stock market in February of 2020. You like that one? The other thing about it is you talk about not wanting to get Mac a vertical receiver, but then you bring up matchy or sorry Williams the way Williams won down the field. Williams, a good amount of Alabama one down the field out of the slot. And they used that vertical slot. I almost feel like going off of Alabama's offense and kind of the personnel, the Patriots have now. I almost wonder if you flipped if they could flip the traditional roles. I wonder if that's the best fit for.

"That sort of gadget player. You can line up all over the formation that devil's Samuel type, I think Wanda Robinson really fits the need of that explosive bulk area. And they'd have to cut coach them up a little bit on the finer points of being a receiver again. He did just switch to receiver two years ago. So he's new to this. And I know we have our, you know, we're worried about certain areas of the coaching staff, but I think him working with Troy Brown, that would be a great fit. Basically the parts of the game, I think Robinson is missing the parts of his game. I think he needs to, not missing, but needs to really round out are what Troy Brown was so great at as a player. So I see that as a mix. So I think either one is a great addition, I don't know that either one on their own is the difference maker, you want to pair this guy with an X, whether it's a first round pick, you know, one of the true X's I guess not your haunts and their system, but or probably more likely a free agent or a veteran acquisition, like the Mike Williams or maybe a Calvin Ridley, but I think either one of these guys can give the offense a dynamic they really need. Yeah, so this is a conversation of an explosive, more explosive ball carrier and Wanda Robinson versus the route runner in sky more, right? They both win, they both win in similar fashion, but they do in different ways. Similar areas of the field, right? Where they are targets were and where their touches were. It would be very, there would be a lot of overlap, but they do it in different ways, exactly. Sky Moore has some of the best feet that I've seen of any wide receiver prospect in this draft. He can get off press coverage really sudden quick movements at the line of scrimmage to get off press separates well at the top of the route. And although he is not game breaking like wandel is in the with the ball in his hands, I like how he slithers with the ball, right? I think he has that kind of Julian Edelman like duck and weave in and out of contact. Maybe not somebody that's going to run away from the whole defense when he gets in the open field. But certainly sets up blocks well down the field kind of navigates and alludes tacklers and wiggles in and out of contact. I like those elements of his game, but it's his route running that really stands out. The concern that I have with one day is the same as I have in the first round version of this is treylon Burke's, right?.

"So this is a ridiculously explosive, good athlete, but all of his targets in college. His average depth of the target was a little bit over 9 yards because he's either getting balls at the line of scrimmage or near the line of scrimmage and asked to run with the football or he's getting contested catch targets down the field. There is nothing else, right? It's either behind the line stuff or the deep ball. There's nothing else in between. That obviously worries me a ton about his projection with the Patriots. Yeah, I get it to patriots thing. I like him as a player, but you know, is he gonna kill Harry as he AJ Brown, this is where it's something I said I'm gonna make a point of focusing on this off season. Nature versus nurture. I think trail on Burks, a lot of his success is going to be predicated on where he lands. We've seen the Patriots struggle to develop that kind of wide receiver. If they draft trade on Brooks, it's a Mulligan on the kill Harry. And Brooks may be a better player, but they've still got to be able to maximize them and use them to his strengths, which they couldn't do with tequila. So trelon Burke's worries me. Can we bring up there's been a lot of comments about sky Moore. Yeah let me get to we got a lot of receivers. Everybody wants to talk more as a receiver. Yeah, I haven't started. I know he's a receiver, but I wanted to do a few others, I'm going down here. I'm back away. There's a lot of comments. We appreciate you guys. George pickens. From Georgia. Probably a first round top 50 talent if he stays healthy the entire year last year at Georgia and doesn't have some of the speed bumps. Let's call him in the road earlier on in his career. Really, really talented guy. Easy, easy speed. And when I watch him run rats, if you watch any receiver run routes, you can just tell, by the way, that defensive backs play a guy if he's got real speed, right? If you feel it, you can see it. And when you watch George pickens run, whether it's running a vertical over the top or then running the vertical rad tree at the intermediate level where he's snapping routes off and creating separation at the top of the route by pushing vertical. He's got the full repertoire of downfield vertical brakes or the intermediate stop routes, comebacks along the sideline where he loses coverage because of that vertical stem. Yeah, I like pickings. He's fast. He plays the game with the nasty streak, which you love, especially you know, the Patriots love that at the wide receiver position. So yeah, he might be in between. I don't know that he's the best receiver on the board at 21 and I think he's off the board. By the time the Patriots make their pick in the second round, he's maybe a guy they trade back and grab maybe like in the early early portion of the second round would be probably how they end up with them..
