So where is this headed. I mean are things just going to go from bad to worse it again. Yes that's what everyone is wondering right. Crop Circles: Alien Messages or Man-Made Hoaxes?

"One of the first stories that got people talking about crop circles began one morning in january nineteen sixty six when banana farmer george pedley entirely a town in north queensland australia was driving his tractor through his farm passed a lagoon. George hurt a high pitched hissing. Sound assuming it was a pierce tire. He stopped the tractor to check but immediately saw what he later described as a flying saucer. Rise up at great speed from the lagoon and sip away disappearing into a cloud of blue vapor after registering his complete shock. He went to investigate the site from which he saw the object rise there in the lagoon. George found what looked almost like a massive nest of flattened reads fused together floating on the surface of the water spinning clockwise. It was almost thirty feet across later in the day. George called his friend albert to check it out. It seems to me if you see a flying saucer and a floating nest from where it took off you call someone immediately but george was like. Wow i just saw. Ufo oh well. These bananas are gonna pick themselves. Maybe he was a man who has priorities in order one harvest bananas to call friend about ufo citing when albert got to the lagoon. He waited out in to get a closer look and notice that the reads weren't just bent over but rather it looked like they'd been pulled up by their roots at this point. One of the men alerted the media. I'm guessing it was albert since george seemed to be taking a slightly more lazy fair approach to the whole thing when the local press arrived to more smaller circles were found in one. The reads went clockwise. Counterclockwise also found was a six by five foot rectangle of empty space in the reeds where the reads it seemingly been pulled up from their roots and were missing completely

Could the Disaster in Afghanistan Have Been Averted in 2001?

"Matter whether you were for or against the war in afghanistan. I think most observers agree that the way it's been brought to an end has been a disaster. The taliban is again in control of the country and in addition to political power. They've got their hands on. Us supplied military equipment including guns ammunition and combat aircraft. So we all agree. It's bad right now but did you know that was a good chance we could have maybe avoided all of this. That's because in december two thousand one. The taliban seemed to be on the verge of striking eight deal with the afghan government to surrender. This was at a time when the taliban itself said they were finished as a political force but donald rumsfeld the secretary of defense at the time rejected the idea and when asked about the possibility of such a deal said quote. The answer is no he wanted. An unconditional surrender. How did that work out just to be clear. No one is saying that afghantistan would have become piece floor. Violence-free only that we wouldn't have spent the next nineteen years fighting an unwinnable war more than twenty four hundred. Us service members were killed in afghanistan. So we're an estimated sixty six thousand afghan military and police and more than forty seven thousand afghan civilians over four hundred eight workers and more than seventy journalists all at a us price tag of two trillion dollars that the bush administration failed to end the war. Early on is one of the many gross mistakes that they made including allowing osama bin laden to escape afghanistan according to a senate report from two thousand nine bin laden was quote within our grasp in december two one but the administration let him slip through their hands quoting from the report the decisions that opened the door for his escape to pakistan allowed bin laden emergency potent symbolic figure who continues to attract a steady flow of money and inspired fanatics worldwide. The failure to finish the job represent a lost opportunity. That forever altered the course of the conflict in afghanistan and the future of international terrorism. That report came out twelve years

"Okay Katie Nolan before we get into the brass tacks about your father I I'm wondering as I'm a father of a two and a half year old has a two and a half year old. Are Kids are about a month apart? We both have daughters and wondering if you had vice for us as authors of Daughters God no. I have advice for you. As as I have a daughter myself, she's a dog. That's my only. That's my only experience raising anything and as I've learned. Talking to Ashleigh. My producer, who has an actual physical boy child You're not supposed to compare raising a dog and raising a kid 'cause. It's not the same thing. So I don't have any but I would say be nice to them. and and A thing. My Dad taught me was like he always made me feel like it was okay for me to fail. which is like especially for girls is like a really hard thing. We're always told to like. Keep up appearances. May Dad made me feel like you know what try it, and if it doesn't work out I still love you, and that's all it matters so like that. Just make them feel like it's okay if they try something in their bad at and when I say father's Day to. To you like what's the first memory? You think of with Father's Day Your Father Oh God I. Mean My dad is is a man of simple pleasures, so father's Day is always like he goes golfing. We alone kind of thing. Yeah, and then he comes home and he wants to watch what he wants to watch and we don't make fun of him for it like my dad loves terrible movies, he's an accountant, and for some reason I think that's the only reason. He loves the movie the Accountant. Which nobody even remembers because it's the one of the worst movies ever made. Russell Crowe I think it's Ben Affleck, who is an accountant and also a killer of some I. Guess Yes, he's quotes it constantly. He quotes a movie. No one's ever seen. But yeah, on Father's Day it's just like cool, Dad, go watch the account. Would we love? You will make you some drinks you know he. He smokes his cigars on the porch with his friend Mike. Father's Day am I supposed to do more than that I? Don't know. I can't throw him a parade. Hate it. The today get you into sports. Well so yes, and no, my mom, I think it was mostly my mom, my mom's a bartender. She would listen to sports. Talk Radio in the morning before she go to work because it would help her make more money, and then just being in Boston, and listening to enough of that kind of just gets in your veins. And then she became a die, hard sports fan, but my dad was my softball coach of for most of my childhood. He taught me how to like solo to a scoring. Scoring book like He. We would go to baseball games together. Granted we, you know being in Boston tickets were always really expensive to anything, so we didn't really have the like. Pick up and go to the ballpark because you know they were paying. My parents are paying for my brother and I had to play sports and our brothers. Sport was hockey, which famously expensive so we, my dad, and I have a sports connection, but I think I fell in love with them sir, my mom, but like. My Dad has always been the tortured sports fan. That is my connection with my father. That is what he passed down to me was the like superstitious to a fault. Tortured Boston Sports Fan so watching the Red Sox win their first one watching the Bruins win in twenty eleven like the best part of that for me was seeing my dad. Be Like I'm happy like not knowing how to process. Joy in the form of sports is what it was all out for me. Is there any funny stories about him as your softball coach? Funny Stories no scarring stories for sure. No I mean I. Don't look. This is no secret I got a big mouth. And I've always been one who talks back I think it's the thing I got grounded for. The most growing up was like my brother would be in the other room, just like stopped talking and they won't ground. You know my but I'm right and so get grounded for always trying to get the last word. Word in so I was a Pitcher, and my dad was my coach and you know he'd make several trips to the mound, and there would be some fighting heated back and forth. Yeah, but he would come to as my dad and I'd be like you're not my dad in the situation. You're my coach like I'm your player and he was like I. Don't have the you're still my kids. Kids shut up. You live under my roof, so we We fought a lot. He wanted me to be a great pitcher, so did I, but it just wasn't there and his best friend had a daughter who was fantastic, and so my dad was always you can be like. Kelly has gotta tell. I got to tell you that I. Don't think can't but we sure did try so yeah I think the source of a lot of our fights was on the softball field, but he was a great coach looking back at it I know it's something. I took for granted that he was spending all that time with the really really cared, but I hear a Lotta. People tell great stories about when my dad was coach and I'm like I don't really have many. Still GonNa Dan. Did he ever like throw any bases like the yelling empires like I know. We don't want paint them in a bad light, but as I. Hate him in a bad light. He a passionate man. He never like fist fought anybody, but he certainly threw down his hat in the dirt quite a few times. He would get very front, but he wasn't like A. He did it more on behalf of my teammates than for me, which is usually the opposite was like a baseball, dad or a Little League, Dad. They're like put. My kid in. My Dad was like my kids sucks. He was totally fine. He was more defending the other kids. So that's why I'm fine with. It doesn't paint them in a bad light to me..

"Is trash move. Don't need abandon ship with the skirl. I don't know what do guys you gotta help me out man. This is this read recedes is dangerous game. 'cause it's it's definitely a power move on her part to have the read receipts on and you kind of have to play the game back with her. And there are lots of ways to go about doing that. May one of them. Obviously it's an option for you to turn the receipts on your side, but I would advise against that because then you're just playing her game and she has more experience there. You want to turn the tables so that your favorite leave your read receipts off and just don't respond immediately to her texts. Like starting relationship is mostly about making the other person want you more by letting them know that you don't need them at. All right. Sure. In this read receipts thing is this whole element like the the first of data came out that had read receipts, I was like, oh shit. This is gonna be a fucking nightmare. Dude, you're going to be getting yelled that left and right by their girlfriends is just going to be utter chaos in the streets blood in the fucking streets. But it hasn't been as bad as I thought it would be that being said, when you're in Lega situation with female or. Well, whatever. And you're trying to get a few on like fuel for how they how much they like you or care about your whatever. This is a really difficult situation by the just while we're on the subject. If you're in adult that is either married or in a relationship and you have read receipts on, please turn that shit off. You're doing irreparable damage to your relationships with friends and family, and you don't even realize it if you have seen, if I can see that you have read my text message and you didn't respond. You haven't responded. You didn't respond immediately to know typing dots or whatever. I'm taking serious offence to that, and it might not even be your fault. And that's where this dangerous. Like maybe you just read my text mid workout by accident, and you can't respond to after that doesn't matter now because I've seen that you read it and because you have read receipts on, it feels like a personal assault on my very existence. And the next time I see you, I'm going to challenge you to do with Flint lock pistols and none of that would happen if you just fucking left your read receipts off. I, there is no. Oh, upside to this at all. From a long-term standpoint, read receipts are nothing but trouble. It's been said again, and again, and again, I don't have anything to add to that other than you wanna make sure if you get into a gamesmanship situation with either a member of the opposite sex or the same sex, whatever sex related gains manship situation. Never play. The other person's game, make it your game, the you're out an angle that gets them on the defensive, where they're the ones wondering, why hasn't he? Or she responded or whatever. Like that's, that's the side you wanna be on. You do not want to be the dude staring at his phone looking at the little time stamp thinking was it been twelve minutes? And she hasn't responded, motherfucker. Just put your phone down or get on another party, your phone going Instagram or whatever. Like I don't wanna say, put your phone down because I never put my phone now, but do something else on your phone. That's not the text messaging situation where you're looking at the fucking, read receipts, Mike, have you ever fucked this? Like if you return them on just to see what would happen? No, I haven't. I'm not really sure what this means. Nothing to me. I have to say that's fine. But then I have turned them on momentarily just to see what it's like. Just to see how feels just for a second, and it's too scary, man. It's not a game. I wanna play. I don't. To be a part of that too. Often, I do read a text message when I haven't had time to respond to it right then. So I gotta wait released, but my advice you'd answer question caller is flip the script somehow make get yourself in the dominant position. In that mind, game of the read receipt world..

We have a ton of Austin, but stores that are like maybe they're antique shops or maybe just art stores or whatever they may be it stores that have original stuff like original works of art, either for sale or resale places that you're gonna be able to find bad ass. Shit that fits your vibe. Maybe it's art, maybe the first of all, anytime beinart you gotta make sure the frame also fits the vibe of what you're going for and you gotta take your time with this shit, do not force anything. There's no reason for you. Just put shit up in the first week just because you own it that's not necessary feel out the vibe and then ride with like a lot of the time what I did with my first apartment as an adult. I had all this shit from college, and I was like, well, I haven't. I might as well put it up buck that you place in looking just like you're in college still, and you look immature. Sure is just not good. Look like as an adult living in an apartment. Just don't do that. Don't don't throw will be afraid to throw shit away with such a bunch of horrors in two thousand eighteen. Everybody wants to keep everything they've ever fucking owned a different box or storage unit, or attic, or whatever. Just throw shit away or give it to people who need it that aren't you. That's what I do everything I fucking have that I when I'm like, I don't need this anymore. I just give it to somebody like either my maid or whoever give your stuff to people who need it. You don't need it, take it to goodwill. I don't know what you haven't Canada. Maybe it's a. I don't know. I don't have a joke for this, but that go, go give your stuff that you don't need to people who need it. The big point being. You gotta pick the vibe and then you had to take your time. Don't force it though. Mess. Don't don't just put up posters or that clock or like if you guys are combining your collective existing shit. Oh my God, it's probably not gonna work well together. And if you have a friend who's really good at this type of thing, like girlfriend, who's great has great, I, there's nothing better you can do for yourself than watching somebody like that work and put together a good home gazelle help you kind of understand how works right? Mike, get you have any advice for this dude based on your experience. Not really. My only advice is the same thing as always like. There's difference. The only difference between posters and prints is that you frame them. Sure, because you can. You can display a poster if you have a nice frame in it, and then you tell people check off this print. So if you're poor and you're just out of college and you're looking for design tips and you find some art that you like like as long as it's not punched into the wall with four push pins and you actually take the time in the effort and the money to frame it, you have a piece of art on your will and it doesn't have to cost a lot, but this is a good way to get a, you know, get a theme going, make it happen. They go. On again, they don't. The other thing that says, don't fall in love with any of this stuff because at some points Rossa especially to give it away. 'cause your significant other or improbably your significant other is gonna come in and just say like, this isn't gonna be in our house. You can't have any of this. Yeah. Yeah, not that that's happened to me recently, but that's happened to me. It's happening you, it's happened and, but here's the thing I would argue about that. Inevitably what you'll do like with our first house, the first place will I guess I department to any the first place Taylor and I lived together..

"I'll be fine. Just don't say. Head west, Mike. I didn't even realize you're bad with directions. Is that something we've talked about? I'm not necessarily bad with directions, but I am a slave to my GP. Okay. Maybe. We've Yanshan I'm really bad with actions. It takes me a multiple number of years living somewhere before I really get the feel for it. Like I, I've been living in my new neighborhood for like a month now and finally starting to figure it out. But as a whole, it took me living several years in Austin before I really knew how to get through all the different areas of town having not lived in Houston for no. Ten years now, maybe the Levin years. It's a very fucking difficult to me to get around Houston. I don't remember how to get places. Neither of my parents live in the area I grew up anymore. I'm just not good with directions and I don't appreciate it. When people try to sit on me like head west or north, what do fuck you? Just give me the address. How about that? I'll type it into my phone and then we don't have to talk any more direction snob. Next goal, Ross Nick calling from Toronto, Ontario Canada, big fan of show than listen. Beginning just had a question just kinda getting into a new job in my field that went small for college for, and I'm looking to be moving into an apartment with my buddy also have in our field in downtown Toronto. So this, you know, you wanna start decorating. What if. Some like dope. You know, friends or like well are or like pool items you have in your house or you don't have in your house, but no of that you would recommend for us to get. 'cause we're kinda started with a blank canvas here. We're looking how adobe, Todd, yeah, big fan of the show. Really, really big fan, have a big. I. Oh, we, we appreciate it, man. Thank you, and thank you for calling. I have some tips here. I don't have any like specific objects like you gotta have this clock, but I do have some general tips that I have learned not through my own skillset, but through being married, how you properly decorate like a house or an apartment or condo, or whatever domiciles dial you have. Here's what you do. First of all, you do not go to hobby lobby or whatever you'll have up in Canada, the equivalent to that the generic shit is bad. Stay away from generic shit stay away from generic posters. Do not put up Scarface poster or whatever. The Canadian version of Scarface is perhaps it's Bieber taking into a bucket or something. Don't put up, Drake poster, don't do that posters bad, right? Maybe if you have a bad ass old like Rolling Stones, poster frame, like that's a different vibe. And that's cool, but don't decorate your place with your new roommate like you're in college. That's terrible. That's not good. Nobody digs that. It's not gonna feel homey. I would argue that the first step you should take is picking a vibe for your place. Example, my new house we have what's called mid century modern. So it's like madmen vibes. Basically, it's like the sixties early seventies. There's a lot of like exposed would you know, untreated wood and shit like that in his fun. I enjoy it. It's vibe that Taylor ni- settled on. We were like, this is what we're going to run with. And that is how we've decided on all the different art in the in the fucking furniture, we have and shit and his baller. I love it..

"Club owners, drug traffickers, and Mormons taking all of the prizes. And I guess apparently strangely ran into on vacation. This is insane. That's why you never one. He had all the Winnie pieces. This is the fucking guy. Jerome, Jake notice crazy way they talk about how when he first started he, he stole like one twenty five thousand dollar thing just seen at work right. And they'd take a million one of the million dollar ones. And then by the end of it, he had like twelve one million dollar instant win coupons like in his pocket. Geez, it's just and he's just like hand out like candy. It's fucking crazy. At one point, he just made one to Saint Jude's children's hospital just for shits engaged. Yes. So he so he could help the whole thing's bananas. You gotta read the whole thing? Yeah. Go go read though. Akam as. Fantastic. Obviously, we can't run do the on air, but that's the gist of it and it's unbelievably. The details are so much fun to go. Go read that thing on the Daily Beast and good for the Daily Beast. I'm sure they're crushing it with the programmatic advertising right now. I can't imagine what the fucking traffic looks like on this thing, but crazy story, really? Cool. I wanted to talk about it. Next segment hotline calls are hotline number, as I mentioned is eight w. r. bolan you can call it anytime any day. It's voicemail. If you mess up, just hang up and call back. It's no big deal. You can ask a question gives a segment suggestion. Something you'd like to hear talk about or address on the show. Constructive criticism is always welcome, whatever you want. If you just need somewhat event or someone talk to the hotline is there for you and gannets eight WR bolan I picked five calls to run through this week or this episode rather, here's the first one, hey, Ross, my Brennan from Chicago. I was wondering when guys take on this. How do you feel about when you have a passenger in the car and they'll tell you head west instead of allows or take a right bothers me. I know as both not great with directions and use ups about everywhere. So what your take was on people using directional coordinates, a set of left and right when they're in the car given and other, oh, you motherfuckers, you know what? That's called. That's called being direction snob head west, fuck you, man. What do I look like a compass? I don't know what direction west is. I have not the slightest fucking clue what direction facing right now. And I know I have a one in four chance of guessing, I guess, but not the fucking slightest idea don't ever tell me to head west or north or south or east or south west, especially if you get into the divisions of even worse. I don't know these things. I don't understand how people do know these things. I did boy scouts. I was a fucking we below. I don't know the directions west, the. The fuck outta here that is how do you even judge this? Is it off the sun? I don't even know. Even if I'm in a car that has a compass thing on it where it says like in up on your roof or whatever. 'cause you're going north, if you say, go west. Now I'm having to think about how the compass works is the west on the left of the right is obviously I know the answer that question, but dude, that's no, that's not how directions work you are. Not Lewis and Clark just say, turn left or go straight or take a right or hang Louis or whatever you want to say, pull fucking Yui. I don't wanna hear the direction. Brinton from shy town is a great call. Very good call. I'm glad you brought this up, especially for somebody who's directionally challenged like me and I know what you're thinking. Man. Rauscher really pointing out a lot of your flaws in this episode mechanically challenged directionally challenged. Yeah, I'm challenged, but I'm doing it. I just typed the address on my phone. That's how I get everywhere I go. It's very easy. Yes, I'm fucked if there's some kind of zombie apocalypse and my phone doesn't work anymore, but you know, that's very small chance that ever happens..

"Eighty nine and two thousand one, which is a twelve year span after he obtained more than a decade. Yeah, that's. He scammed the McDonald's monopoly game eighty nine to two thousand one after he obtained a job as a private security officer, overseeing the production of the McDonald's monopoly game pieces. So this guy, Jerome Jacobsen he gets a job, overseeing the production of the physical little game pieces that you would get distributed you at McDonald's and you rip off the thing and you stick them on the board. Everybody's played this game, everybody. He was in charge of that and he's the guy who did the scam. So in his position in Jerome Jacobson's position where he oversaw the printing process, this reportedly allowed him to access the winning monopoly pieces which he was tasked with hiding in McDonald's packaging factories across the United States. And in nineteen eighty nine just quote to see if I could do it in quote Jacobson gave his brother-in-law a winning game piece were twenty five thousand dollars at a family event in Florida. Twenty five. He just handed it to his brother-in-law Hayes or twenty five thousand dollar monopoly. McDonald's monopoly game piece years later in nineteen ninety-five actor Jacobson claimed to witness Simon marketing, redo drawing that randomly selected winner in Canada. He said the company didn't want the bigger prizes sent up north. This guy, he realized the game was flawed and he decided, fuck it. I'm going all in. I'm sending the winning pieces off to acquaintances and friends of friends who can redeem the prizes and give me a cut. So he cra- he has his the scheme in over the following years, his crime network encompassed quote, a sprawling network of mobsters psychics strip club owners convicts drug traffickers, and even a family of Mormons who had falsely claimed more than twenty four million in cash prizes. As a collective whole that group of people, the mobsters psychics strip club owners, the convicts traffickers the Mormons. They, they claim more than twenty four million in cash and prizes with obviously, Jacobson getting a big cut of this and. Eventually what happens is in the year, two thousand and anonymous tip leads the FBI to begin investigating Jacobson and with the help and cooperation of McDonald's, the chain win ahead with two thousand one, monopoly promotion at the behest of the FBI even though exects initially wanted to cancel the whole thing Jacobson and his cronies were arrested for mail fraud and conspiracy in the summer of two thousand one. He was ordered to pay back twelve point, five million dollars. And serve just over three years in prison. All of this actually happened. And what the Daily Beast report suggests is that because the trial began the day before nine, eleven? It was largely forgotten. Now for whatever reason, this whole story is kind of exploded back onto the scene in all over the internet. This week with people asking what they want more details. They want to hear about this. That's the reason it's become this hot button story again. And the crazy thing about it is Jacobson guy who pulled all this off. He's now seventy six years old. So he was over when he was all when he did it. Now he's seventy six reportedly living a quiet life in Georgia according to the Daily Beast, and it's just a fantastic. I mean, I wish there was a way to make it into an exciting movie. I don't know that there is, but to go all in and just be like, you know what? I'm going to defraud the McDonald's monopoly game. When you're in charge of the printing process is fucking hilarious..

I need to understand. All right, please help me. You know, just a couple of headlines I've seen recently I went to share why is Nicki Menaj co-signing, convicted sex, criminal. 'cause she six one nine two, good question. Or how about this one. There are plenty of fish in the sea for Nikki, but she went with the goblin, shark. Okay. Basically the gist of these pieces is Nicki Menaj the most powerful or one of the most powerful woman in in rap. If not would Cardi b. right on her ass. Right with longer tracker. She could do a song with anyone she wants. Yeah. And yet she chose the twenty two year old sex convicted. I won't these criminal sex criminals. He's been convicted child sex offender. Now, criminal now look and I'm not going to sit here and pretend to know the fucking circumstances. Of course there are circumstances in which you wouldn't like something terrible could happen, but a thirteen year old girl you all question gets removed. If if you're in a situation where that could happen, even you're a terrible person right or the very least you're moron. And I just that Nicki Menaj thing. Thank you Mike, because that's exactly what really made me like I finally had to say something about this and I actually considered waiting until episode sixty nine which will be next week. And then I was like, you know what? Fuck that. I'm not using this dudes name in my sixty. Nine. Oh, here's a tear his this fucking his singles, his hit singles, all of the singles that have charted for him. I'm gonna read off the names of them. Good. See if you notice a trend here, the first one was called gum. Oh. Kuda. KiKi Godley. Those aren't words Patty, what an fi, fi. Those are all just made up names and words, and some of these gone platinum. Some of them have gone gold. All of them are upsetting and they're all very, very bad. Please stop supporting bad music. There's so much good music out there that doesn't get enough shine and love. I, I understand that when guys like this happened, typically it takes time for people to understand them. Like when Tyler the creator came out, a lot of people were hesitant to call him rap artist or musician at all, and obvious migos at a sure people's call him mumble rap for long. Right. And do I, I wouldn't even call this dude. Mumble wrap too cautious. Six, nine. I know he's classified as such, but he doesn't even mumbo is not even mulling screaming nonsense words and just is just so fucking bad end of sets me to a very great degree. In this dude somehow as accomplished that with some of the worst songs I've ever heard he has a hit right now and I mean hit a legitimate hit that he's going to get rich off of did I believe debuted at number one, it's called the-they or faith fief fucking FAFB and it's featuring Nicki Manashe what the fuck, NICKY. What are you doing? What are you doing? Why are you supporting this chaos, disguise. Awful. I. I just don't get it. He's from he's from New York, New York. He he claims to be the king of New York City now regularly. He actually went on Angie Martinez show yesterday and straight up admitted to being a hip hop troll that none of this is serious to him that it's all just a joke, and he's just having fun just goes in the studio and like makes up shit. And honestly, I, I'm not even knocking him. It's us, it's society. What are we doing? What is the deal with this man? Why are we supporting this shit? The guy has a fucking multicolored. I just I just have a really hard time figuring out what the fuck is going on here and on top of all that the guy has pled guilty to a felony count of use of child a sexual performance. I'll say that again, that's not funny. One Bellany count that he pled guilty to of using a child in a sexual performance. He argues that he was hanging with some dudes and they had a girl and he didn't know she was underage and he just happened to be there swept up in it. The video, this child, the stir teen year old in distributed videos of this incident. Online in this guy is getting off doing fucking songs with Nikki Moniz. It's just it's a mess. The other thing I spent a ton of time doing when I was little kid was playing with tennis ball against the brick wall and pretending I was like a good game, Derek, Jeter some shit. That's that's a fun game to, but I'm so pumped on this basketball goal if you're ever in my neighborhood and you walk by and you see me and I'm up there and I'm putting in work and I'm sweating. If don't look at me, don't look at me. Just keep going. Next. Too cautious. Six. Nine is trash personified new looking forward to this one? Yeah. So I I became aware of the man that calls himself to kasha six. Nine. The six nine is there's no ass. It's the number six. I x in the number nine, I any, which is. That's just that's just stupid. I, I became aware of this dude on Instagram. In fact, the the post that I saw was one that was actually making fun of him. It was video that this dude created. He's actually a very funny content creator in it was a video that to caution six nine had put on his own Instagram. This dude took it and dubbed it over and it was hysterical, it was like him and his manager and some other ass clown. And the the little that I know the funny man who did the dub over actually was just saying the exact same things that six nine and his crew were saying with higher pitched voice like a funny high pitched voice, and it was fantastic. That's all became aware of this dudes existence, right? I didn't hear any of his music. I didn't see him in concert or at a music festival. I didn't watch YouTube videos. I'm not part of the generation that that this guy is most popular with. I'm not. I'm one above y'all and for the first time in my life because typically I live by this rule right. Everybody knows that the generation above them is gonna hate on their shit. Like my dad doesn't get rap music that I get right. I don't get some of the shit that he got. Like, I don't find the, you know, certain bands that he likes red hot chili peppers a lot. I don't. That's not a good example. But point being every generation looks at the the next generation's music and says, that's not music. That's terrible. And I- void making judgments like that because typically is incorrect. It's just something that you either don't get or you don't feel or does it doesn't vibe with you. This is the first time in my life that I'm going to step out on a limb here and say, this really is into music though. This is terrible. This dude is the trash personified. As the segment title pointed out. This dudes awful at everything and should be clear about something. I understand why people follow the guy on social media. I get it. He's very obnoxious. He has multicolored hair is got ridiculous. Tattoos all over his body, he says, and does ridiculous things. He's a trash human, a train wreck. You can't look away. I understand the social media follow hundred percent. But what I don't get in what really fucking blew my mind. Last night when I sat down and I finally said, screw it. He puts up a lot of videos, and these concerts are packed with people. People are showing up in droves in paying hard earned currency to see this dude perform worldwide, not even just in the United States. I get it when we're stupid enough to put somebody like this on a pedestal. I don't get it when it's like he's he's feeling so that little venues in Amsterdam in Europe and shit. "Dot. Com are BP checkout. Next segment. Ball is life. So I got a basketball hoop in in my driveway now I bought it on Amazon. I'll tell a quick story. I wasn't going to do this, but I'm gonna tell it. I went to academy. I grew up on academy, sports outdoors, right academy, the right stuff, the right price. They're not. That's not they're saying anymore, but it used to be. Yeah, there now knows academy sports and outdoors, Ross e at whatever. And. I went to a kademi and I went to location south Austin and attempt to purchase a basketball goal and be supportive of a business that has been a large part of my life in. I'll just say, didn't go well, there the it was maybe it was rush hour, two kademi. I don't know. It was like a fucking Tuesday. Any point being I ended up having to go through Amazon which bummed me out because I wanted to kademi. I bought this goal on Amazon. It's a Spalding. I have it shipped to my house. I paid nineteen dollars for stranger to assemble it because I am mechanically challenged. Everyone knows that about me. I cannot build things cannot hang things. I cannot install things. I cannot fix a car. I can't hang TV anything. Mechanical I'm out in. I've learned about myself that it's not even worth trying because I get real frustrated and angry. I started throwing break things. Fuck that. It's not worth it and you can call me a girly man or whatever you want. I don't give a book. I've made more peace with this than I have with my chicken legs. I'm not putting together. Shit ever. Again, I'm not hanging anything up ever. Again. It's never going to happen. I will find someone and pay them to do it every single time. This deal, this guy, assembling it something Amazon made a mistake or some shit was supposed to be one hundred fifteen bucks. I got charged nineteen dollars for the do a symbol, and it was a three hour install job that's worth it. Yeah. So I hope he got paid, but I certainly did not get charged enough point being from the moment. The install was completed in the goal in all of its glory, the hoop, if you're, why don't we call it a goal. Sometimes this apparently is a problem in the south. I've always called the basketball goal, but everybody up north in like will. One of our buddies here for Michigan hosts the touching base podcast. He says basketball hoop, and I'm trying to say that. So I'm going to say it since the moment the hoop is finished being installed, my life has changed completely and I'm like three days into this life. This new basketball hoop Boehner life. That in. It's just fantastic. I find myself having a completely different swagger. I'm constantly looking for the opportunity to cross people over even when I don't have a ball, which frankly is almost all of the time. In this is just a whole new outlook on life that I've been gifted with this with this. It's one of the best purchases of ever made a highly recommended. If you have a.

"That's like, that's nothing. It's just crazy. Eight is the age in years of the girl whose father the chairman of Bloomsbury publishing in London made her read the first chapter of the manuscript. So she loved it and demanded more. This little eight year old might be a big part of why Harry Potter came to be five hundred is the number of copies in the initial Bloomsbury print run of Harry Potter and the philosopher's stone. Now, what that means is when they decided to release the book, it's finished. Final copies been turned in and edited and copy edited, and there's. A cover and all the all that shit's done. They decided how many of these do. We think we can safely print without wasting a bunch of paper and money on printing ink and all that shit and the number. They chose five hundred which again is nothing. I think we started with thirty k. thirty thousand copies the PFM book. If I remember correctly, three hundred fifty is the number of copies from that initial print run ended up distributed to libraries, so nobody bought them. Three hundred and fifty. The five hundred just got into libraries, forty thousand dollars. Forty thousand rather is the value in dollars of a Bloomsbury. I addition of Harry Potter and the philosopher's stone today. Again, that's the first book in the series. If you were to find a first dish in right now today the monetary value of that would be forty k. she got paid twenty four hundred bucks in advance for this thing. You could get forty thousand dollars for one copy of the first addition now, because again, there's only five hundred three hundred fifty a which ended up in libraries. I'm sure all of those are now. Either been stolen or or placed in a museums or something. I don't know, but surely they're not just sitting libraries. The first additions. Another number eleven million. That's the number of copies, the first installment in the series. Again, Harry Potter in the I'm sorry, the final installment in the series. Harry Potter and the deathly hollows. That's how many copies sold on the first day of release in the US and the UK eleven million copies on day. One of the final books release four hundred fifty million is the number of Harry Potter books in print worldwide today after that five hundred initial print run four hundred. Fifty million of these books are out there. Seventy three is the number of foreign language translations of the Harry Potter books. So they've been printed in seventy three different languages. Now, one point five billion is the amount in dollars of the total budget of all eight. Harry Potter films, seven point, seven billion the amount in dollars of combined worldwide grosses of the Harry Potter movies, seven point, seven billion. Sounds like a good investment turning. One point, five billion to seven point. Seven billion. What's interesting to me is I'm wondering how much Bank this publishing company Bloomsbury made off of this. Clearly, they're the ones who went on a lamb and said, yes, we'll give this a shot even if it was a small shot at first, I wonder how much they benefited as a result of it exploding, very aware of how much JK Rowling benefited being the author and the creator. I just that's one of the things I I would like more information on how much money did Bloomsbury make off their investment. You know what I'm saying? Anyway, hundred sixty is the number of prop glasses worn by Daniel.

"It's been their longtime seeing when has referred to me as an athlete. Right, right. And yes, so I'm not preparing to to go to war in division. So who who is this guy, Sean, Clements, Sean Klein's. You know, I tell you to find him on social media, but his his Instagram is it's awful, his private. So I think he's hiding things, but I'm not gonna speculate. Sean Clements is a professional cage. Go three and one record he has fought in Bela Tor, which is for those fight fans out there once essentially, one step below the UFC. Right? This is not just like some guy who's like fighting in bingo halls or like middle school gyms like this. This is, yeah, we're going to do three rounds of MUI Thai kickboxing, and then three rounds of jujitsu. So won't be a true cage. Fight necessarily. Won't be true. Emma may match. Ch- but there will be a lot of competition and I will punch him in the face Letsie. It's good to hear. I'm looking at the section of the site that has the tail the tape where there's a photo of you shirtless wearing gold boxing trunks. I really think that that, well, those are those are matai kickboxing onsite? Yes, it's okay. I, I would say that if you're still looking for reason, visit on dot com, slash chump to champ. Just go for the photo just the tale of the tape photo of me and Sean, we did a professional photo shoot last week at on headquarters. Yes, and it was lit and the whole thing, not well, it was lit, but also cameras literally lit- just that page of me next to him. Yeah, my zoo on if you ever saw FIFA goes west, how the large cat who's attended to be a sheriff and his name slips. My mind at the second he does crazy is to to freak people out to freak out the other animals. That's what Mike is doing. This. Photo. He's also displaying the size of his hands by. You got to look at the picture. It's Mike shirtless potentially oiled up if not sweaty as standing next to a man who shaves his stomach and chest, which by the way, I have to say Sean, that's that's not. That's not good. That's too much. I don't know why you're doing that, but you need to stop doing that please? It makes his all uncomfortable. It just would be nice if you'd go more natural. Look at the guided lefty mica that guys more natural looks. Real man looks like you look like a Ken doll that has failed to ever hip Uber. Now. I don't know what else to say about this other than I've never been more excited about anything we've put together at grand x. honestly, for me personally, it's not even as much about the fight, although I'm sure it will be the exhibition. I apologize the exhibition hashtag exhibition. It's about all of this amazing shit that we're gonna get to see leading up to which. Includes, as I mentioned the video that's already available to four more that are coming. I live for this. This is seen you in your element attempting to make a radical life change by fighting a cage fighter. This is the kind of shit that I've, you know, compete in an exhibition. Yes, yes. An exhibition hashtag exhibition. Well, I appreciate the Russi I, the goal of this thing is to make a lot of compelling fun content between now and August thirty first that will entertain the audience, and then you'll be able to chuckle out of and you know, along the way you might learn thing or two about on it and what they got going on over there. It's it's their coal company. And yeah, on dot com. Slash jump to. Champ said, won't drop it again. How does your family feel about this? You girlfriend, your sister? What is the girlfriend? Doesn't really care for it much. She is, I'm told will be prominently displayed in episode, two of the documentary series all yes, so we'll, we'll hear from her. She's not real into it. She's doesn't like how sweaty..

"Front of a live crowd. And just to be clear your FICO experience amounts to what I have very little combat experience, none. I have not none zero. So I came off the couch is kind of a fat guy share, and now I'm three months into my training. I'm of lost some weight. We'll get to that. I guess. Been doing training last week. I did thirteen hours of workouts inside of the gym, including our excavating another hour, some additional yoga, and some other things swimming. You've been doing swimming. I do swim. Yeah. Just kind of dance around the pool for those who are thinking like is funny. Yes, it is. It's very funny. It's incredibly funny if you know Mike a well and many of you who listen to the show, you probably feel like you know him well, you do just from having spent considerable amount of time listening to him talk. But this is something that while extremely entertaining and potentially humor on the outside on the inside. Mike is taking very, very seriously, and I can attest to this having seen the results of these workouts like this is legitimately training. Why keys Innova fighter in. I don't know how much weight you've lost it and I don't even you don't have to share the particular number if you don't want to. But it's it's a substantial amount. I feel good very different than you did even before we started as of my way in the smarting my way, and I just stepped on the scale, it's not really an official way in but doubt about twenty five pounds in the three months. And that's a lot of weight for three months. I got another. Other another seven, eight, five, ten pounds, something like that to to get down to before exhibition night. Yeah, it says here on the on the website. First of all, you guys gotta go. You have to go to on dot co in an IT dot com. Slash chump to champ. And that is not like some type of marketing ploy. It's legitimately every piece of content that they've put together for this thing so far has blown my mind with its quality and it's its you gotta give serious props to these on a guys because the first video, the first episode of I believe, a five part little YouTube series at they're making called chump to champ is available to watch on that web on right now. Go to go watch it there. It's like four minutes in change, and it is so good that I am still kind of in shock at the level of production value Micheals incredible. He crushes it, it's this is really something thank you Ross. Yeah, it really is. And the team over, there's been pretty awesome, but you know, I'm ready to, you know, show this fucking guy when I'm all about and I try to like put this in, do you know like I wish there was an easy way to to, to give an image of what the on it Jim is like, and I'm gonna try here, but we're good on it as a whole is made up of very, very serious fitness people that are working out multiple times a day. I would argue that the majority of the people you see in their Jim are extremely attractive where whether they're male or female, they're all impeccable shape. And now Mike awhile, I'm not in any way knocking. You certainly are more normal average guy, then a lot of the freaks they've got rolling through on it. Would you agree with that? Yes. I feel like a lot of the appeal for this promotion is that I am kind of an average dude. I, you know, I'm in my thirties, I, I wouldn't say I'm inactive, but I had been training. In for anything. Right? Yeah, I'm not as I wrote yesterday on on post grad prompts I come. I'm not..

"Com. Shout out to Chris Turk, Roman and exhibitor. I'm not really sure why ex-man. It puts a shout out to these four guys because they're awesome happy. Early birthday to Christian, a proud ginger. His birthday is August twelfth. That's like two weeks away, but I, you know, buddy asked me to do it. Now. We're doing it now. Christian happy birthday buddy. Quitting day's coming. You're aware that we've got two days left. I'm scared. You're scared world all scared, but it's happening and we're going to do it. We're gonna do it together. I'm gonna talk a little bit more about that towards the end of the show. Let's get into it. I segment mica the IMI exhibitionist. Now this is something that we've waited a long time to announce. It's been a grueling few weeks for Mike, and I did not speak more specifically to exactly what is going on, but here's the rundown essentially one month from today. I believe August thirty. First two thousand eighteen our own. Michael whiner producer mica. We'll be participating in an exhibition against a professional IMI fighter right here in Austin, Texas at the on it gymnasium. So I have some questions that's correct thirty one days four hours fifty three minutes and thirty seconds. You've got it down to man. That's something Mike. I guess my first question is this what the hell is going on here? Well, it's, it's, it's a fair question Ross. The easiest way for people interested into know what's going on Goto on it dot com. Owen an IT dot com slash chump to champ. That kind of explains what's going on. But basically couple years are actually last year ready year about this time at ACL music festival, which we talked about quite a bit on this podcast. Do some members of our of our company were were at at the festival and they were, they weren't toxic aided. And they saw someone and and Madison see goes and went to high school with that guy. He's a cage fighter. He's a professional, intimate fighter, and one of the guys not me who we worked with said kick that dude's ass and that person doesn't work at the company more. But an idea was hatched, yes. And so we, we've done some stuff with on it. You you've heard us talk about here on this podcast and in many. They're, they're a big company. They do supplements. They do food, they do lifestyle. They have an online workout program that do all sorts. Their whole deal is total human optimizations. That's what they're known as the total human position company. Our man, Joe Rogan is the I can't ring the bell right now is the co founder and he's probably the most famous ambassador they have, but there's always pro athletes anyway, it's it's a very well known company, especially in the community. We reached out to, we said, hey, we'd like to to do this thing where somebody fights, this guy who went to middle or went to high school with his name is Shawn Clements. And so we pitched it and anyway, long story long. Anyway, it's happening. It's happening. It's happening thirty one days, four hours fifty one minutes and thirty seconds from now. I have been training for about three months now to compete. Against a professional cage fighter with bell tower experience in.
