Jobs Report Disappoints — Only 235,000 Positions Added vs. Expectations of 720,000

"That highly contagious delta and having a major impact on the economy so many employers looking for workers yet. The new jobs report showing us. Us hiring falling far short of expectations in august. So what's going on. Our stephanie rule explains today disappointment and a disconnect only two hundred and thirty five thousand jobs created just a third of what was expected despite a record ten million job openings and employers desperate to find workers. There's no question. The della variant is why today's job report is stronger. I know people were looking at. I was hoping for a higher number the surging delta variant putting the brakes on months of strong job growth. That's pushed the unemployment rate to the lowest level. Since the beginning of the pandemic hiring had been driven largely by restaurants bars and hotels. But in all of this that came to a halt employers hired fewer people because consumers are going out less and people are not applying for jobs that could expose them to cove it. This is seven and a half million out of work. Americans will lose federal unemployment benefits beginning this weekend. Another three million. We'll see their weekly checks cut by three hundred dollars. It's an abrupt end to federal aid available since the start of the pandemic in new mexico. Jessica healthy has been receiving four hundred sixty nine dollars a week. It will drop to one sixty nine on without these unemployment benefits. What would that mean to you. That means that some of my bill won't get paid while many who lost benefits in the summer did not return to work. This fall with schools reopening a steady rise in wages and other pandemic relief ending. The hope is more people start working again. But some economists warn that it may take time. Most of those. Many millions of people are not going to be able to find jobs

"And we'll get to taste it and see what's going on all right and then what do you have a barrel plan like. Are they going to be a bunch of different types like last all different types. Okay so But i the all the new. Oh of the cabin. The new oak Got one year old Use barrels for the money and last year we aided in a poly tank. And then i put some alternative oak which is just like barrel staves oak staves that you can buy and you can put them down in the solution so as not nearly as much oak as a barrel would give you know It was really nice. It's wasn't enough okay to give it a flavor the of oak or an aroma of oak. But it's enough to give it structure right So putting it in the year old barrels is going to be more than what we did last year. But it'll it'll still be a little Subtle okay all right then. Yeah it's like I think the money is twelve percent alcohol and the cab is a very low. Eleven point eight. He's pulling it up on his phone. He's got you've got a. You've got some wet an app. That just connects you to the winery. And they all the details in there so you can keep percent. That's it point. It negative point fifty-five bricks. Yeah so the bricks. Measurement is the percent sugar. It's it's dry. There's no sugar left right. It goes into the negative because when the alcohol becomes part of the solution it's weight changes right. It's changes yeah so when you're measuring based on how much percent of the of the water has sugar in it you know. What percentage of the liquid is sugar. Yeah it's like a density measurement density measurements. So if you remove all the sugar from the water then it would be zero. Yeah but when you add alcohol than it yeah when you replace the sugar with alcohol. He goes into the negative numbers. Yeah yeah because alcohol is lower density. Okay cool what about rock and roll update you worked in the studio. We got deos exported. Rs night excellent deo says the l. You'd hear pieces of it on cosmic raffia. Yeah that's the intro. It sent off to the engineer. So looking forward to getting that project going in one more song and we're a quarter of the way down all right right one. Two three a third of the way done third. Yeah one more song. It will be a third of the way done all right. I'm hoping to get that done before we go on our trips. Go ahead yeah well. I got the crypto update. sort of. let's see. "Thousand. The unemployment rate dropped to five point. Four percent the expectation was five point. Seven in average hourly rages wages. Were a four tenths of one percent. That's four percent year over year. You don't wanna have average hourly rate is never a whole separate thing. I love it. That's a whole separate thing. So how are the markets reacting to this this morning markets are reacting mixed the dow jones industrial average up one hundred fifty one almost a half percent thirty five thousand to fifteen the s&p five hundred up nine points at four thousand four hundred thirty eight. That's two tenths of one percent and the nasdaq which sometimes because the tech stocks and their need to borrow money moves opposite of the ten year treasury the rate on the us ten year treasury interest rates nasdaq is down but only sixteen points at fourteen thousand eight. Seventy eight that yield on the ten year treasury worth looking at it hit a bottom on wednesday of one point one this morning at one point two eight. Why because of the probability that numbers like this if they continue would give the fed what it needs to start raising interest rates and the ten year treasury is a market driven number not driven by the fed west texas intermediate crude oil sixty nine dollars. Sixty four cents up fifty five cents and bitcoin this morning above forty thousand forty thousand nine hundred fifty nine jobs number key to the fed's decision on one. It will begin to move toward raising interest rates to control inflation fed chairman. Jerome powell said just what a week ago. A couple of weeks ago said he wants to see a few strong jobs reports before the fed will begin that process in. Today's numbers are the first in indication of that as kids go back to school as federal unemployment benefits end in september. Today's numbers may well be repeated and even exceeded in the fall creating an even tighter labor market. Which leads you to say okay. What exactly is a tight. Labor market a tight labor market is defined when the number of job opportunities outpaces the number of available workers again a tight labor market one job opportunities outpace the number of available workers right now employers with job opportunities can't find people willing to fill those jobs and there are well over nine million jobs unfilled. Tell me you don't see help. Wanted signs everywhere..

It has nothing to do with the esteem of being a ceo entrepreneurs because realizes sox most most months It's hard work My why is that. I have the freedom to create in the direction and the speed that i want to so if i want to start a new website. That's a private community for professionals in private equity. Then i can go test it out right now. I don't have to go ask my boss. I don't have to go to long process. I can do that now. And that creative freedom which just so happens to be in digital marketing focus on the mergers and acquisitions market that creative freedom is my why and allows me to express myself in the best way. There are other secondary reasons why you know. I'm an entrepreneur. There's a i think jordan belfort. The wolf of wall street had this instagram graphic. And it was like actually have it on my phone number. One you can't have a boss number two easily bored number three. You're to creative number four. You're impatient criminal street at not to educate that's me but you know your lone wolf etcetera etcetera and just realized just like so much of my shop was trying to fit in to somebody else's box in reality is fit into box. I have skills and interests that go across so many different things and it took me ten years of my career to finally have that. All come together. An intersect and the expression of that the combination of that is precisely what i'm doing right now. Yeah now i love that. In to the and so to the point about the ups and downs. I multiple posts where i share our stories. In fact i just shared one where i put my w. two in my wages were like sixteen thousand six hundred and sixty nine dollars. I don't like thirty five years old thirty four years old and we just had our kid and when what kind of what kind of husband. What kind of what kind of father. My i made seven seventeen thousand dollars as my w my my wife is carrying the family and she wasn't working at a you know she wasn't at top tier law for know bringing in the cash and so we're struggling together and then i realized one of the big moments that i realized i was an entrepreneur is when i was in a cafe in the bathroom and cryan and i realize like everything all the failure was coming down on me in question myself and then i ask myself. How bad do you want to keep on going forward as like. Yeah i want more. And that's when. I realize. I'm not a watch. Cryer them an actual oscar. Yeah yeah and you said something that everyone needs to hear. It wasn't about the money it is about the why that's bigger than any dollar amount..

"I'd say they were little less good than the preceding nights okay. I wouldn't say it was directly due to the mattress. It was just normal fluctuate. If you had had extremely good slam clinton would absolutely counted one hundred percent of course so we have to count. That drew actually feels a lot worse today. Okay yeah yeah is feet fill better. But maybe because he's not walking walking. Yeah yeah but we each got two hundred ninety nine dollars mattress cover and that kit. He gave us the patch. Kit has ninety patches in it. I believe guess how much that goes for. I've got one here. Fifty sixty nine dollars sixteen now. Oh bless him bless him so he was just a hand in us this stuff. Yeah i think maybe a partial effort justice show. I'm not trying to get money of this. But yeah he kept saying we had our best year ever last. We doubled sales right. But then you're not like making money. Yeah then you would say well. The whole market's changing and everything's topsy-turvy right. Now you're making it sound like it's bad right very much. Felt like listen. Whatever you needed to be in your head that gets me out of this jam and this sentence right. We made exactly that much to the dollar. He said he spent half a million dollars assuming bowl just to protect his patent talked about twenty million dollars put into research but then he would say well. I can't afford celebrity. Endorsements that's too much money then trying to have it both ways with the celebrities saying oh yeah there's lots of really famous people who use it. I just can't name them right. The vendors almost tempted to try to track that down. See if i can find it. Oh yeah that's right. All of the avengers scarlet. If you're listening let us know if you are using grounding mark ruffalo chime in all. He's one of the bulk and doing my whole can yet carries hulk involves her lifting her hands up in the air kind of forming them into a half claw. I guess he's like yes sure. Yeah yeah well robert downey junior out like robert downey junior okay zero tasting. Go away robert downey. Wouldn't it be great if he was like a big fan of the part. That was rude. I liked you carry. Okay if he likes the blackouts. I'm sure that would make me come around on. It just earned a few points in carries bug robert. Can i call you roberts were. Let's see who else we got. We got we think. Iran man is one of the adventures. Oh okay because i've seen ironman to then you've got chris evans. He's captain america. Okay don't who that is. Okay you got chris hemsworth. He plays thor. Oh is he married to miley cyrus. Oh that's liam hemsworth then. I don't know who he is. Jeremy renner don't plays hawkeye. Spiderman is technically in avenger. Oh okay right now. Played by andrew garfield. That was the previous one. I thought he did. Yeah yeah. I think he did a good job now. It's it'll come to me tom. Hilton is loki. Tom holland is spiderman. He's a very good spiderman. No idea anyway. So apparently they were all grounded according to clover taking that with a grain of salt. If you are an avenger please get in touch. Lots of having it both ways. Yeah a cdc. Yeah that's right. He's a c-. He goes back and forth rapidly in america sixty times per second gyory listeners. If you couldn't follow any of that part of the conversation. I couldn't either. I just listened to the experts in cases like that that negative twenty million volts thing just floored may cause like what does that even mean. Grounded you yeah right. 'cause in reference to what because usually the earth is your measurement planning level but yeah any movement of electrons is because there is a disparity It's equaling out so so. Yeah what are what are you saying that in reference to that it's negative twenty volts right and so think of a good analogy. It's like saying she's two percent tall right. Yeah and his response to my clarifying question. You back a lot of like quick talk in there. And then he went. Maybe i'm missing something here but i passed it by our buddy spencer mark. Who's been kind of my voltage trysofi expert. Friend in all of this That's what he does professionally. I've worked with him in the past. And so i know i can go to him with electricity questions. Great friend of the show also are ralian episodes. Yeah spencer's featured oh and Tony llama christian ministries. He keep us safe. All spencer references throughout our episodes. He he listened to these. Yeah no this doesn't make any sense. This sounds like someone making stuff up and just hoping he's going to kind of blind you with science sounding language but he said yeah even to someone who does this stuff everyday for years. What he said means nothing is equivocating about dc versus ac. Now it still doesn't mean anything in spencer's kind of given me helpful clarifying notes All throughout because this is not my specialty in any way shape or form any mistakes are still mine of course but he was also pointing out. That clinton keeps talking about the travel of electrons from the earth to your feet But not necessarily electrons are always just going to travel towards the positive charge. You know like it's always a balancing act. Sometimes it's going to be from the earth to us. Sometimes that's going to be from you to the earth. I hadn't thought of that spencer said that. Yeah the makes good sense so anyways. Thanks to spencer for explaining that. I'll throw in a couple of other notes. That i've heard that whole thing where we are holding the pengs and measuring our own essential closed circuit. You know there's no reason why there should be differential between your left hand and your right hand so this gets a lot of people curious. Okay yeah what is that. you're picking up of. That's one of the kind of theories about that and others that maybe it's the oils in your skin that have a slight Electrical differential and then Connecting them even that out so that could bear further study but Just throwing that possibility out there. And i noticed that clint also used a lot of i would say blinding science where he had some twenty dollar words that he would trot out and notice he talked about neutrophils a lot which are a common type of white blood cell heels tissues response to factions. Okay but you know why not. Just say white blood cells chair kept saying neutrophils. This neutrals talking about cortisol. He talked about cytokine storms. Will that that one. I hear about a lot. Yes that is one of the ways in which covid can be very dangerous is by triggering..

"Sound. You hear the sound of people's heads absolutely exploding a few times in previous episodes. I've mentioned the people auction going. On at christie's this is the first time the famous auction house has auctioned off a completely digital good. They had previously included an f. T. versions of some physical items that were up for auction but this was the first time it was just an nf tea while the final bids are in and the price paid for people's the first five thousand days was sixty nine million three hundred and forty six thousand two hundred fifty dollars first of all the folks over on wall street. Bets are in utter disbelief that the price wasn't sixty nine million. Four hundred twenty thousand and sixty nine dollars. Second of all crypto. Twitter is absolutely frigging losing their minds. This is a crescendo. Perhaps the first of many but definitely the first of the nfc mennea sweeping the world. I've given the background before but in short. Nfc's are non fungible tokens non fungible means that rather than every token being like every other token in other words each. Bitcoin is like each other bitcoin. They're mutually interchangeable. Each other is equivalent to each other. Tether these are cryptographic. Unique tokens that uniqueness lens them well to the actual owning quote unquote of the original quote unquote of creative work. Like a piece of art and of have been a part of the crypto space. For years i mean remember crypto kitties but over the last few months and especially the last few weeks they have had a major breakout. There have been two really important categories within that the first is actually in the sports collectible slash trading cards space last year. The team that brought you crypto katie's launched nba top shots in conjunction with the nba. These are effectively a new type of trading card featuring efficiently. Licensed video highlights. Now i was watching this and things started reasonably but they have really picked up over the last couple months last month. Nba top shot process. More than two hundred fifty million dollars in sales from one hundred thousand buyers more than that admitted a whole new group of wales a wall street journal article today was called the whales of nba. Top shot made a fortune buying lebron highlights. They were the early to the hottest. Nf market and their collections are now worth millions of dollars. They take a look at people. Like michael levy a thirty one year old financial analyst. Who spent one hundred seventy five thousand dollars over six months whose collection is now worth twenty million plus or andy chore. Leeann a twenty seven year. Old dev who back in his younger days traded pokemon bought sneakers but then more recently bought. Thirty eight hundred. Nba top shot moments. That are now worth a collective fifteen million. I think it's really important to point this side of the market out because in many ways it is a completely different. Demographic than the crypto punks art type people and frankly the people interested in people at least on an artistic level. But i also think it's worth noting that collectibles in general are going crazy. Golden auctions is a huge trading house for cards memorabilia. It sarah on march seventh. Golden tweeted prior to two thousand twenty. There only ten cards that ever sold for one million dollars plus in history last night we sold five cards for a million dollars. Plus clearly there is something going on in these sports card collectible market as well and on a smaller level i track a small index of magic the gathering card prices just to keep track of what older cars in that space are doing and it's up four hundred and fourteen percent in the last year. This is going to be relevant for discussion in a little bit about what's really underlying what's happening in an f. Teas but for now. Let's get back to the art. There has been a ton of focus. Here i people were gobsmacked by the price of crypto punks which are selling for thousand sometimes even tens of thousands hash masks or more of the same but all in all these things felt pretty well contained within the crypto space they were insider games insider speculation and insider collectors over the last few weeks that shifted we saw people sell on nifty gateway for more than six million. We had musicians jumping in just in blau who performs as three lau sold a set of thirty three. Nfc's for over eleven million dollars. Grimes may just under six million dollars. Kings of leon released an album last week with full. Ft's we've seen more sports stars jump in with gronk releasing a bunch of nf teas and then we've had brand seemingly determined to ruin the party for everyone like taco bell who released a set of tease last week as well. Of course alongside the hype. The backlash has increased as well. I mentioned on yesterday's show that there is a huge group. Were now fighting on environmental grounds. Just to give you a sample of some of those tweets per the biggest thing. The nfc sh tells us that we have an extremely short amount of time to destroy the capitalist system before it scorches all live from the earth in of a three percent rate of return. Here's another one the. Nfc thing has drawn a line in the sand between the artists who are annoying for evil minting enough tease and artists who are annoying for good cyber bullying people minting. Nfc's until dimensions mentions are so exhausting. They stop like we're all annoying but it's how we use our powers finally. Let's do one more tweeting things here and there but my stance on teases final. It's horrible for the environment and a very critical time in the climate crisis. Therefore if you participate in it. I will judge you freely in gladly and no longer support you so i tweeted this out yesterday and got a huge number of responses of people who have seen similar things and keep in mind. These aren't like random accounts or at least these tweets are getting hundreds of likes responses. And re tweet so. It seems clear that there is this counter lash happening even as we speak all in all the point. Is that even before today. Things in this space. We're getting pretty heated. But then the people auction closed

"Is out the door. Robots closed its first day of trading as a public company at sixty nine dollars. Fifty cents valuing the company at thirty eight point two six billion dollars quoting cnbc. Shares began trading at sixty four dollars. Fifty cents which represented a forty three percent increase from a private financing round just in january when the company sold shares for forty five dollars the reference price on tuesday of forty five dollars though no stock changed hands at those levels. The reference price tends to reflect private market trading and does not indicate where a stock will open road blocks hits the market coming off an explosive year of growth primarily from kids who were stuck at home because covid nineteen forced schools to close and sports leagues to shutdown within roadblocks which is one of the top grossing apps on apple and google devices users create. Avatars that they can move between the millions of games on the service navigating theme parks adopting virtual pets and fighting enemies with their friends. Revenue last year jumped eighty two percent to nine hundred and twenty three point. Nine million dollars still relaxes. Net loss widened to two hundred and fifty three point. Three million dollars from seventy one million dollars in two thousand nineteen as the company almost triple. The amount of money paid to develop through its revenue sharing program more than twelve hundred and fifty developers made at least ten thousand dollars last year through virtual sales in their roadblocks games and quote. Now i've said before that in the universe of unicorns among the companies investors. I'm friendly with our most. Enthused about roadblock has been at the top of that list the yardstick i'm using here to measure the level of investor. Excitement is basically when i hear investors. Say something like damn it. I wish i had gotten in early on that company. Roadblocks has been the name most mentioned in that context for about a year. Now the other one by the way is stripe which people have foam mode on forever but over the last year the frenzy around fintech has reached a fever. pitch so stripe has become the company. Everyone's still wishes they were in on early or still wants to get in on now if they can anyway back to roadblocks. You don't have to take my word for it in terms of people's excitement around this company. Here's ben thompson describing how by bringing disparate parts of gaming into one place. Roadblocks is basically created the conditions for interlocking feedback loops. That are very exciting. Quote by controlling. Everything roadblocks can bring all of the disparate parts of gaming into one place instead of one app for social interactions another app for purchases and a different app for every different game. Everything is all in the same place. This also makes roadblocks easier to develop for by constraining graphics to a consistent toolbox. It's very easy to build something new. This creates the conditions for the interlocking feedback loops that characterize transformational products by reducing the prominence and feature set of games. Roadblocks made it possible to create something. Bigger a micro verse. This actually fits the pattern of other transformational products. The feed for instance relies on reducing all types of content from post to photos to links to the same format such that they can all be incorporated into a greater whole. It's a reason why. I think that clubhouse being all audio actually gives it an advantage relative to twitter. That leaves more room for user entrepreneurship. Both in the kinds of rooms created and also norms around behavior twitter realize the same benefits relative to blogs with its one hundred forty character constraint. Similarly roadblocks games aren't really competitive with non roadblocks games. They're worse in any sort of traditional sense because the things that make them better are the parts that are enabled by imposing constraints and quote.

"Roddy so small. Watch this today. I mean the market con of played. What are we not. I mean we. We certainly saw off Throughout the session in fact from the break of yesterday's law yesterday now the die before we move roughly three percent low so you know it was continuing that selling momentum it was starting to increase in the price of which it was coming off but then it reversed and now we've got bullish candles now. The interesting thing for mayo. The most important thing for me is how far we recovered from the low. All of the die we recovered about five point four percent now as much as the only closed off what it close up one point two percent. It's way price came from. Its reading the information accessible on that shot but that candle align its tokes to make it says a lot to me and it's now bullish candle. It's in the cradles. Aren't certainly not a crime. Tried from our point of view given the fact that we do not have that wonderful. Simplicity fantastic trend. But it's there The two days also in that cradles iron as well now not decide that they want further not at all but if we were to move higher i six three. I think thousand six hundred thirty We go to break but this looks like the market is still a little bit on will at wants to do and that the guy in comes from that daily candle it was selling off it had broken. The pride is low. it was. The friday was down. Four point five percent down over three percent at one stage there yet. We bounced back. I want to look at the journey of bitcoin. What it did throughout that some threat session. All to for example there was a little high low in ohio and of course it's not the cleanest clearest transnational another trend that. I'm looking to try but a detroit. Sell off a guy from the cradle zayn and filed. It did not get to move law. The market decided out to the market saw that not. We're gonna continue to move higher. All is it just david pullback before the next ditlow these are things that are right now right now. I certainly still short tried. I have a couple of the that are their modest but a guy. It's the clarity of direction is just not really strong right now especially given yesterday's selloff in pull back up to closing strong will was closing strong close than where it was at its lows of course and of course the ball. We've got something very similar again. Bitcoin was up one point. Two percent closed. I ten thousand five hundred forty. Where now down point four four hundred and seventeen and not ready telling me too much a guy like i said the The cape point ready. The high obviously is closed. Eighteen thousand six hundred thirty bragged that with what you see it. "You're ready for black friday ready to start buying stuff. Well things are going to be a little different this year. We may not see the crowds like you've seen in. The past camped out in front of stores. The retailers say they're going to offer black. Friday deals online the entire time. And that's good for us. I've been perusing through the ads. I see a couple of things that really jumped out at me. Starting with apple airpods. The pro edition usually sells for two hundred and fifty dollars. Walmart will have them for a hundred and sixty nine dollars. That's a great savings in. May i say that of all the headphones. All the earbuds i've used in my life. I swear by these airpod pros the best sounding they stick in the ear. I just love him so if you ever wanted to buy them. That's a good time to get him. Most other stores slowing him around two hundred dollars. The apple watch series three edition which is from a few years ago is going to sell for one nineteen at walmart. Dad's a savings of over one hundred dollars. Pretty good deal. How about a nice seventy inch. Video for four seventy eight. That's at walmart or a sixty five inch samsung. That's a target moving over to best buy. They've got a seventy inch. Tv for five twenty nine normally seven hundred and fifty dollars. That's pretty great. And if you wanted to get a cheap phone. It's Our Holiday Gift Guide

"Okay gel so. I think we better start with a nod ben calendar. I mean. it's the most classical gift you could give somebody. I mean i just love this trend that started probably like five six years ago but the beauty advent calendar. So there's so many out there. I just want to highlight one. Though that i think is really good value for your money and that is from the body shop. It's the make it real together advent calendar. Sixty-nine dollars in it's worth one hundred and thirty seven dollars on the outside. It looks like a house like an a frame house in it's purple kind of cardboard packaging. So i like that because it's actually paper so at the end you can recycle it. It's not going to be a ton of waste very beautiful illustrations on the inside and there are twenty four. Little doors that are filled with mini goodies. Yes so i like that you get the full twenty four door experience. Spot is on a lot of bulk and it's not a lot of waste. Yeah so you get everything in there from their lip. Bader is to scented lotions handcream. Shower gels body scrubs. And i like the little extras that they've done. They have a festive nail file. They have hairclips. They have a bath. Lilly in there and bath gloves so these are just like the little things that are like. Oh yeah. I do need a new house. And they've included them in this particular thing so i think it's great bang for your buck and we're spending so much time at home might as well have something to open every day while you have your coffee. Yeah hell yod surprise and delight me every day. You know but. I love the body shop around the holidays because it's great for all ages. It's just so giftable and it doesn't break the bank. So i think that was a grapevine gel. Now i'm really excited to tell everybody about my fine from sephora like i said i crunched all the numbers i put my lake analytics hat on and the winner was the first aid beauty. All that fab five piece holiday sat so this is forty nine dollars. Us with a hundred and twenty seven dollar values. So they're seventy eight dollars in savings. So i know that's a lot of numbers. I just threw out you but basically you're saving more than what you paid for the box. So that's pretty aussie. That's awesome math. It's going to be sixty four dollars. Canadian with hundred and sixty seven dollar value. One thing that i really like about this five piece set is that four out of the five pieces are full-sized. They're not just many. So that's great because you hear a great value. You think it's just going to be the travel size and then has every step of your routine as well. So it's got a cleanser moisturizer cream lip product and exfoliating toning pads. So it really. Has you like completely taken care of all season long. And i'm a fan of i aid beauty anyway because it's great for sensitive skin you know. They don't add a lot of the product. It's been dermatologist tested. I think even if you don't have sensitive skin going into the winter you need that like bare your repair and they have all of these ingredients. That are going to help with that. They've got glycerin to hydrate. Nyah cinema. that's going to help with texture and tone as well colloidal oatmeal. That's going to help to soothe irritated skin and then in the exfoliating toning pads at scott. Aj's going to give you that gentle expoliation. This is a kit. That's great for all genders. All ages all skin types. You know it's just basically like soothing. Brightening doing everything you could ask for mainly hydration so this is a win for me joe. Yeah and no hate no shade to first aid beauty. They're not necessarily sexy looking packaging or products. But they've dressed them up right on this package. I have it right here too. So kind of like an art deco vibe on the front of it is really fun. Ads like silver and gold and black with celestial stuff on it. I mean anybody wanna open this for the holiday awesome levitt. If you guys are on a budget you know when you're not willing to pay the the triple figure price tag. I know you found a kit that was like sitting right around twenty five dollars with some products that we also love right. Yes so this is from bioscience. It's their lives glow kit. It's twenty five. Us dollars with a sixty two dollar value. That's thirty three canadian. Seventy nine canadian value so this includes two products. The scaling and lactic acid resurfacing nights serum plus the scaling and vitamin c rose oil. These are both like smaller. They're not full sized. Get the full experience using these products and for me that squealing and lactic acid. Resurfacing night serum. It's one of my favorite products. I've tried in all of two thousand twenty and the reason is you put it on before you go to bed. You wake up. You're so glowing. It's insane you get those instant results. But there's no irritation and then the vitamin c rose. Oil smells amazing. And it's not greasy at all and it really. I think is a great product to use in tandem with that exfoliating. Yeah i love a face oil. When i'm using heavy duty exfoliating because my skin just got so dry and it just feels like It needs that like give me that oil. After you know so i love this little combo. It even has the gift box like you. Just write. someone's name on the top. You don't even need to give perfect perfect. Yeah love

A Look At Apple's Hi, Speed Event

"Few huge surprises at apple's high speed event though. There were some unexpected bits. Did. Anybody. See The verizon thing coming? Did we have any idea what? MAG SAFE WAS GONNA turn out to be. There we'll get to those. Most of today's presentation is drawn from a couple of viewings of the Apple Park presentation. We'll also pull from the usual suspects doing their usual bang-up jobs. Tuesday's high-speed event presentation started with Apple CEO Tim Cook welcoming viewers back to Apple Park than throwing the presentation almost immediately to others to give the INS and outs of home pod. Many. Bob Board richer's apple VP worldwide product marketing listed the company's desires for home pod. Wanting. The device to have amazing sound to act as an intelligent assistant to serve as a smart home hub all while protecting the privacy and security of the user. This, they say they do in a smaller spherical unit that costs less than one third of the original home pods original asking price. On the amazing sound side company bragged on the devices ro properties as well as how well it plays with others. Others being other apple devices. Users can apparently sink home pod many's either a stereo pairs or to play the same audio throughout the home. The. Inclusion of apples you one processor makes handoff easier to handle according to the company. For what it'll play. Well, there's the usual stuff apple music, apple podcasts, iheartradio radio DOT COM tuned in with Pandora and Amazon music on the way in the coming months. As for the smart part Home Pod, many will handle or interact with messages. Calendar phone calls maps music because. The. Weather reminders and find my feature. There was also an interesting demo where users ask for personal updates and got them. personalized. So he you know multiple voice recognition is key. Now. One new feature mentioned and de Mode was intercom. This is basically what it sounds like. You tell home pod to deliver a message to everybody and the various apple devices in the house including other home pods, iphones, apple watches air pods, and even carplay units play or display the message. I have heard entercom will work with the original home pods as well though not seeing that confirmed. Addressing. It's smart home hub nece home pod many integrates with apple's home APP that lets control home connected accessories said scenes and stuff like that. Covering User Privacy Apple, says no word spoken to Home Pod, leave your home until you touch home pod many or say he. S I are. So, yes, it is always listening but what it here's goes nowhere until you give it the command. Request. A home pot or not associated with apple ID. You choose whether recordings are saved by apple personal requests only work when the associated iphone is home with you. And communications with smart home accessories used strong encryption according to the company. Now I, said earlier that the unit is spiritual. If you've seen a home pod, there is no mistaking what this thing is. Same sort of light up display on the top same mesh wrapping it's roundedness and the same white and space grey options as the original home pod. Coming soon to flat surface near you. Orders for home pod many began on the sixth of November unit, start, shipping the week of the sixteenth of November. Not Price, to beat an echo but not a device that will break the bank. Home Pod many will sell. For, Ninety, nine bucks. Okay. I pretend to hear you say but I'm worried about breaking my home pause many. Not sure why but better to be safe in your case. To that end apple care plus we'll be available for home pod. Many. A piece from macrumors says, that will run buyers fifteen bucks. When Tim Cook was back on camera, he took a moment to Brag on iphones past noting the iphone eleven has been the number one smartphone in the world since its launch and that I phone has led the industry in customer satisfaction every year since it's Get ready to hate all of them as the iphone twelve line makes the scene bringing with it five G. Connectivity. Which one? All of them. Had Been Rumored Apple announced four iphone phone twelve models and has had also been rumored. Each can support five G.. Cook says, five G. Brings A new level of performance for downloads UPLOADS, higher quality video streaming, more responsive gaming, real time interactivity, and more. The CEO says five Jia superfast, which he actually pitched as a security feature speeds are so good. He says you'll be less tempted to sign on the public WIFI limiting exposure to the dangers that lurk there. Every decade brings new technology that provides a step change in what we can do with iphone said Cook. Today. A new era begins for iphone. Today we're bringing by G. to phone. Then began the verizon commercial. Hans Fest Berg Chairman and CEO. Verizon took to the stage talk about big reds five G. offering. Verizon's by ultra wideband with large quantities of millimeter wave access will be live and sixty cities across the US by the end of this year. In ideal conditions, Best Burg says the carriers seen four gigabits down and two hundred megabits up. The four gigabits is kind of funny own Antonio Guy says an ideal conditions. Well it doesn't sound like you're getting four GIGA beds but we'll get, him. The other thing best Burger announced was flipping the switch on Verizon's extensive five gene nationwide network. That apparently went live yesterday. Boy would I like to know the terms of the deal worked out between, that bill and Verizon? Emphasis on particular carrier. I did not see coming. Now I said iphone twelve comes in four models here the rumor mill rang true. The phones are iphone twelve iphone twelve many iphone twelve pro and iphone twelve pro, Max. Starting with iphone twelve, remember the squared off edges of iphone Four. The new design returns us to that. Squared edges that meet flush with the devices front and back glass the front classes something special though. Working with corning delay, this display is protected by what apple. Calls Ceramic. Shield. It is said by the company to be tougher than any other smartphone class with four times better dropped performance than iphone eleven. The display it's protecting is apple custom Ole ed providing truer blacks, better contrast and two times the pixels iphone eleven or four, hundred, sixty pixels per inch. While that displays the same six point one inches iphone eleven, apple shrank the surrounding enough to make iphone. Eleven percent than her fifteen percent smaller and sixteen percent lighter than iphone. Eleven Choice of colors is not huge but they are pretty. With options and black. White Product Red Green. And blue that. Does things for me. I shouldn't talk about in mixed company. The candy coating is nice. Let's talk about. It's Chewy. Chocolate center starting with the phones five Genus Apple says, iphone twelve has the most five G. bands of any smartphone for better performance in more places. Additionally the company's silicon, the software approach. Let's apple make the best use of available five G. including choosing to not use five. G.. It sounds like iphone defaults to lt e tapping into five G. when it's both necessary and available. That is great for power consumption according to the company. Apples tested the new phones on over one hundred carriers and over thirty regions. In ideal conditions iphone twelve gets up to three point five gigabits on. which is what makes the Brian Bragging about four gigabytes down kind of funny yesterday. It does support millimeter wave those so. got that going for it. As, for the phones on workings iphone twelve powered by apple's a fourteen bionic, the first phone powered by the five nanometer processor technology packing eleven point eight billion transistors roughly forty percent more than eight thirteen. A six core CPU that's up to fifty percent faster than last year's phone and a four core GPU graphics that are up to fifty percent faster than last year's model. Machine learning also gets a boost iphone, twelve packs of sixteen coordinator and Gen that's up to eighty percent faster than iphone eleven capable of eleven, trillion operations per second. Company bragged on Games claiming console quality for the phone. To Demonstrate and executive from riot games showed off League of legends wild rift a mobile, only game due out later this year. Well phone twelve is not the phone photographers would choose. There's plenty of improvement and it's cameras. Apple says the phone has a twelve megapixel ultra wide camera and twelve megapixel wide camera. It said the sport, the fastest aperture yet it also features a seven element lens that apple says offers twenty-seven percent improvement in low light performance. Mag Save is an internal thing. Rather than a name for a connector is in days of old MAG. Safe today is a collection of magnets and charging elements that help line up the phone for proper charging. When it's not charging those magnets go to work holding on cases and wallets and third party stuff. Apple expects a thriving ecosystem of third party doodads take advantage of the newly introduced MAG. Safe. Ness. Mag Safety. Safe thing. Anyway. It's a thing built into iphone twelve. Every model in the line. Now's probably phone twelve many. Except for the size, you can take everything I've said so far about iphone twelve and play it back. iphone twelve many has the same specs as iphone twelve though in a slightly smaller size. The company says the mini is smaller and lighter than four point seven inch models like iphone eight but with a bigger five point four inch display. Apple says, this one is the smallest thinnest and lightest five G. phone. In the world. Talking about last night with Frederik, Van Johnson, and a few other folks on Chuck joiners Mac. Voices. We came to the conclusion that the pro phones for two groups, people who wanna spend as much money as they can afford. Or people who really care about the camera. There's nothing wrong with the camera functionality and the iphone twelve or iphone twelve many. Unless you count they're not being as high end as the camera on the high end. No I'm not a high end photo guy. So there was a lot set around iphone twelve pro, an iphone twelve pro Max that escapes me. The camera on iphone twelve pro boxes said by apple to have a sixty five millimeter focal length from fifty two millimeter focal length and last year's counterpart. It's got five times optical zoom range and the set to support an eighty seven percent improvement in low light versus last year's top of the pro line. I do know enough to be impressed by one thing. The pro line can shoot an apple pro raw. or it will be able to with a software update. Later, this year photographers will also be able to edit those images. Directly, in the photos APP. The pros can also handle. HD are video recording catching seven hundred million colors. Sixty Times, the number they could capture before. Apple, said they also sport the first smartphone camera that'll record in dolby vision hd are. And just like the apple pro raw functionality users will be able to edit the dobie vision HDR video in the photos APP. Finally the light are rumors were finely true the twelve pro and twelve pro Mac speech or a world facing light detection and ranging scanner. That let folks scan and modeled their surroundings. Apples Demos showed that put to use for placing objects in an augmented reality environment performing improved autofocus and low light and improving camera that perception in low light for night moat. Working our way out of these phones, Greg, Joswiak, apple's newly minted senior. VP Worldwide Marketing talked about a few of the pro lines features. It's got mad safe. It's got ceramic shield. It's got a Super Ratna FDR display. As for sizes iphone twelve pro gets bumped from five point eight inch display display size of six point one inches the pro Max meanwhile goes six point five inch display to a display size of six point seven. All of it is bound by the same squared off edges as iphone twelve, the with a couple of distinctions. I. The outer band is stainless steel on the pro line and second the colors are a bit more refined. Coming in silver graphite a gold that looks seriously golden. And the Pacific. Blue that doesn't do as much for me as the blue on the IPHONE twelve. Not that I'd turn it down. If cost is your primary concern. Here is what you're looking at across the whole line of iphones. iphone se. Start Three, hundred, ninety, nine dollars iphone ten are starts at four ninety, nine iphone eleven starts at five, ninety, nine iphone many starts at hundred ninety, nine dollars iphone twelve starts at seven ninety, nine, iphone twelve pro starts at nine, ninety nine. An iphone Pro Max starts at one, thousand, ninety, nine dollars. For the new phones though those prices are only Kinda SORTA true. Peace, from the Mac Observer says iphone twelve many an iphone twelve do start at six, ninety, nine and seven, ninety nine if you buy them as a t and T or verizon phones if you buy one is either a sprint or t mobile phone or as an unlocked phone. The starting prices are seven, twenty, nine, and eight, twenty nine. With no indication as to why. While it's great that ceramic shield means less of a chance of broken display. The chance is still there. If that bugs, you apple care pluses there for all of them. macrumors says, two years of coverage will run one, hundred, forty, nine dollars for iphone and twelve mini. Adding loss or theft protection will up that price to to nineteen buyers can get ongoing coverage for seven, ninety, nine per month or eleven dollars and forty nine cents with loss and theft added. As for the higher end phones, the pizzas, two years of Apple Care Plus will cost one, nine, thousand, nine or nine dollars ninety nine cents per month. Theft. And loss coverage bumps that price to two, hundred, sixty, nine dollars or thirteen dollars and forty nine cents per month. Ongoing. As for availability, apple is starting in the middle. And working out. Would owners can order iphone twelve and iphone twelve pro this Friday the sixteenth. October. They'll be delivered the following Friday the twenty third. If you're targeting either end of the range. iphone twelve, many an iphone twelve pro Max will go up for order on the sixth of November. With Jockstrap-Scented Candles, Babe Wine Wants to Bring the NFL Home

"Wouldn't want to spend twenty nine dollars on a candle that smells like a jockstrap well, plenty of people. But Hey, if that's your thing now you can babe wind. The official wine of the NFL has launched a line of Senate. Candles intended to bring the entire football experience including the locker room into your home. The twenty twenty NFL season kicked off last Thursday night, and with only a few exceptions, fans can't be there in person this year. So what better way to experience the joys of life football from the sweaty jock straps to the smell of overpriced eighteen dollar Nachos then to invest in Sports Senate Kennels at least. So goes the thinking of the marketing folks at bay wine babe is a can wine owned by anheuser Busch inbev parent company. Of Budweiser, when founder Josh Ostrovsky started the company back in Twenty fifteen it was his goal to make babe the bud light of the wine world know Somalia needed here guys behind the cheeky ads. Is a strategy intended to pump up online sales and the funny bones of Anheuser Busch's most coveted hard to win over market of millennials. As we've reported here before beer sales have been flat lining for some time younger drinkers in particular are increasingly turning the cocktails hard seltzer wine and wine spritzers although it's still the tiniest of all spirits, categories, sales of canned wine or bubbling over over the twelve months ending this June off premises canned wine sales grew by almost eighty percent according to Nielsen off premises. Sales are all those purchased outside bars and restaurants by the way clearly where all the action has been happening the last six months. All these stats are serious business for Babe wines huge parents searching as it is for ways to continue growing as its core product beer struggles. But let's go back to the locker room. Shall we examined the connection between Anheuser Busch's falling beer sales and candles that smell like musk and men's deodorant? Well, no one's buying the bud light of wine for the way it's grapes are grown now they're buying it 'cause babe wine is an instagram hit Ostrovsky is better known by his instagram handle the fat Jewish. He has ten million followers. The brand has one hundred, eighty thousand. So far Ostrovsky is nothing if not both funny and provocative, the brand partnered with dating out, bumble this summer to pay the moving costs to people sick of the X.'s they got stuck living with during the pandemic the two companies mocked up a bright pink truck emblazoned with the sign, your XS canceled babe and Bumbler here to help you move on literally. To enter the contest participants needed to what else tag themselves on the Instagram Post like the signature background in all of its ads, babes, stunts, or designed for instagram especially to attract younger women market anheuser-busch fervently wants to grow. If it's not obvious by now the candles themselves may makes some money. You can buy all three for sixty nine dollars, but they're primarily an attention getting device it to get you to stop scrolling in hit the buy button on a box of canned rose eh read or Pino Griego it's online marketing shrewd. You might say but it's not like babe wind has the wind can market to itself. There are at least one hundred brands of canned wine as makers scrambled to get a sip of this growing market while no single brand stands out as the most popular one that poses a challenge to babe wine is yes. Way Rosa like babe wine. Yes. Way Rosie was launched on Instagram in two thousand thirteen friends Eric Blumenthal and Nikki Hugo near started as an instagram account celebrating Rosie wine. Selling actual y came later the fashion editor and art director soon had a hit on their hands in twenty eighteen there bottled Rosa caught on at target just this year they began selling their grenache blandon Pastel pink cans. Yes Way Rosa doesn't have the NFL stamp of approval minds you but with almost no one in the stands that stadium branding is far less valuable than it would have been pre pandemic and that gives the women behind Guess Way Rosaiah a lot more runway. But they're going to have to come up with something pretty startling to steal attention back for turf, Nacho and. jockstrap scented candles.

And it's been pretty slow of light has been in a building positions really and I've done that now I want to get back to the business of trading, which is the one that on the most familiar with. So bitcoins now one point, four percent for two hours forty into tried to diet ten, thousand, three, hundred, seventy, I don't WANNA say ten five by the end of the day. A theorem yesterday it closed up four percent against I. Having a good start to the five point three percent were three, hundred, sixty, nine dollars and thirty three cents that weeklies looking rather lodge rather sexy chops can't looks like the four hours a matter of fact, this is looking really nauseous broken above that three hundred and sixty della barrier that was sitting around for awhile now as I see this and I go through this with my two eyeballs on looking at the region roughly ramble yes. Three sixty, three, fifty, nine, sixty, two now looking at that on the one, our CIA because why didn't you say if I can get a booster in there? I want not yet. Yes. It out point nine to two point four, five per cent. The weekly doesn't look very good to be fair. The Latest Pandemic Shortage: Dumbbells

"Perhaps, you've spent the summer exercising outdoors, and now you're starting to wonder whether you'll be able to keep that up when winter hits after all even though gyms may have reopened where you are many of us are skittish about exercising indoors with a lot of other sweaty hard breathing people a set of weights for home gym or garage or basement more likely seems like a great solution. Yeah. How often do you have a great idea only to realize everybody else's having the same great idea that's what's happening here folks since the early days of the pandemic stationary bikes, treadmills and streaming workouts have been hot commodities demand for one item in particular has driven scarcity dumbbells just try and buy a set the goods a newsletter published by Vox, says, we're in the midst of the great American dumbbell shortage. All right. So it's not like we're talking about a shortage of life saving drugs but if staying fit means not just health but sanity to to you, a dumbbell shortage could be a very serious thing. We feel your pain. Here's what happened according to the fitness fanatics experts at box think way back in your memory on March fourteenth the president declared the pandemic, a national emergency that was A. Friday the very next day ushered in the weekend that America changed. Colleen. Logan. Of icon health and fitness told Box Logan is vice president of marketing for the company which owns nordictrack other fitness brands that weekend they started seeing what she called crazy crazy sales every day in March sales doubled compared to March twenty nineteen. They quadrupled in April and were up six hundred percent higher in May Logan said. Rival bowflex was also inundated like Nordic track. bowflex sells weights along with bigger, more expensive equipment like bikes and treadmills less well known businesses that specialize in strength training are also struggling to meet demand. Visit S PRI site and you'll see sold out labels on Dumbbell after Dumbbell try to buy kettle bell iron balls with handles, and in many cases retailer rogue fitness won't even give you a ship date instead up POPs vague. Notify me button. The level of demand is unheard of as inside Hook writer Tanner Garrity noted people don't even buy this many dumbbells in the middle of winter when they're cooped up and drafting fitness resolutions. The result of these shortages predictable prices are high according to vox a pair of fifteen pound rogue dumbbells that usually costs forty dollars is currently listed on Ebay for one hundred, sixty, nine dollars. The shortages point to a much bigger issue in the American economy before the pandemic, the vast majority of Kettlebells dumbbells and other free weights were made guess where China? That's right China closed factories and highways from January to April when the sudden unexpected surge of interest occurred here. America's existing supply of weights went fast due to closures in China. Well, no new ones could be made much less ship to America. Now, Chinese factories are open again, but they can't keep up with the outsized desire a few companies including. Rogue. Have turned to small American iron foundries to make them here. But few of those foundries are interested in making consumer products like kettlebells. It's expensive and difficult for them to gear up and they fear retailers will give the business right back to China. Once the global economy is fully open again in the meantime experts say the boom and at home. Workouts is no flash in the PAN ninety percent of Americans who work out say they'll continue exercising at home according to a survey by Wakefield research for some those at home workouts will continue to replace the gym. Others will simply add Jim visits to their routine. Regardless that means booming sales and continuing supply chain headaches for Nordic track bowflex and the light. For the lowly exerciser waiting and waiting for that adjustable weights set to arrive it can also mean getting creative. What else can you pump besides iron weights? Well you could try the technique. One robust dad showed off a photo featured by vox lying on the floor. He's balancing his two little girls on a piece of plywood and he's holding over his body. Just, be very careful with those willing little subjects. Okay.

Samsung's Galaxy Buds Live are clear winners with a unique design, strong sound and long battery life

"Lose Samsung unpacked event was just yesterday but if you believe Chris Welsh over at the verge The surprise breakout announcement from yesterday was for something that a lot of us kind of ridiculed those galaxy buds live. Those things that look like actual beans that you put in your ear. Well. Welsh says maybe they're cool beans an unconventional design for God's might actually turn out to be a winner quoting from his review. The one, hundred, sixty, nine, dollars, ninety, nine, Cent Buds live have a style all their own and they're super reflective in the bronze color which can look more rose gold and some lighting but I generally liked the look and the fact that Samsung is experimenting. You've never worn ear buds quite like these, which means putting them in the first few times feels a bit foreign and. You might think it turns out they slot into the culture of my ears quite naturally the bean design works and are both comfortable and stable once they're there are no silicone tips, the speaker points directly into your ear canal. The Buds live have silicone stabilisers near the top, and there's a slightly larger set included in the box if those buds better sit in your ears contours. The tap controls work just like those on the galaxy buds plus single tap to pause double the skip three to go back and you can customize what along press does the Galaxy Buds live carrying case which has a USB port and wireless charging support is wonderfully compact though the ear buds will definitely go flying out if you drop it since they don't have a very deep cradle with three total beam forming Mike's to on the exterior and one inside the galaxy. Buds live have performed just fine during my zoom meetings and Voice Calls Samsung. says. They also have a voice pickup unit in the hardware for improved speech detection you can use either. But independently while the other is charging in the case taken as a whole package, the Gazi Buds live, exceed what I came in expecting based on the leaks and the uncertainty I had about what the bean shaped would mean for comfort and sound quality neither wound up being a concern after actually using them. If you're okay living with a healthy dose of outside sound while listening to the Galaxy Buds live, there's a lot to like and quote.

PBA DOT com slash B W daily the UH from wondering I'm David Brown and this is business wars daily on this Tuesday September tenth hot out there well well if you're a skier no matter whether you're sweating and turning up the air conditioner as you listen to this. It's time to think about buying your ski pass. That's because the ski industry he has been consolidating over the last few years. Colorado giants Vail Resorts and Altarum Mountain Company has been doing two things each has been buying up resorts across the country country and abroad and they've been creating huge season pass programs the give pass holders access to the mountains they own as well as to partner resorts all over the globe globe as the two fierce rivals focus on selling more and more season passes daily lift ticket prices get ever more jaw-dropping last season season daily passes to vail or beaver creek another high end. Colorado resort broke two hundred dollars for the first time making those to Vail owned resorts the most expensive in the US. That's a hefty fee especially. If you want to bring the kids why so pricey will impart the strategies to force you to make the comparison and determined that a pass is far more economical than buying daily lift tickets why spend two hundred nine dollars to ski for a Single Day at Vale when you could good spent about a thousand dollars to ski all winter whether you're in Vermont or Utah even Japan for people who are sure they want to ski at least a few days this it's winter a pass from one company or the other can save you a bunch of money. Veils epoch pass is good at sixty nine different resorts the icon which Altera Tehrik created just last year will get you into forty one resorts from Colorado steamboat to the icons newest European Destination Zermatt in Switzerland. It's not easy to give a head to head comparison on prices because the potential combinations are dizzying. Do you want ski in only one state while there's a price for that. I want unlimited skiing including over holidays everywhere. That's different current prices unveils season passes range from about four hundred dollars for local resorts to nine hundred sixty nine dollars to ski anywhere including new resorts in Japan and Australia. Alturas cost around five hundred dollars for local resort pass say Colorado's winter park to just over a thousand bucks for access to all forty. One destinations and there are discounts for veterans teran's in children and for people who can skip the most popular holiday times. If you're shopping get actress spreadsheets depending on how much you ski either pass could save you megabucks compared to a single day lift ticket but you knew this was coming. There's a catch to get these discounts. You have to be a planner owner low prices and before Thanksgiving that's because a few years ago the rivals parent companies realized it would be smart to book revenue while Violets still warm out there rather than waiting for unpredictable Mother Nature to deliver customers early season pass revenue wooden just smooth out the bumpy nature of the ski a business it would give each company predictable revenue stream and for Vail boost share prices just like subscription businesses everywhere of course if you're an individualist. They're still bumper stickers on old vehicles in the Colorado rockies that say F- Vale you can still find an independent independent mountain or to those family mountains whether in Colorado or any other mountain state or often more down to earth not to mention cheaper than the glitzy resorts. It's being swallowed up by Vail and Al-Tara so grab that icy drink soak up just a bit more summer and start dreaming I mean but you you for the winters from wondering wondering this is business wars daily listen to like our show. Everything we still want to see in the OnePlus 7 Pro

"One plus seven pro is coming at the end of this week to North America may seventeenth. It's going to start at six hundred sixty nine dollars or not going to bury the lead. This is the most expensive one plus phone ever released. We'll sort of but. Let's let's dive into why. Because this is definitely the most impressive phone the company's ever put out, Alex. What have you taken away with your from your few days with it so far? So the first thing to sort of understand is that we have two phones, but it's not a one plus seven on a one plus seven light does a reason why it's one plus seven out of one plus seven pro. So you have the rails, which will talk about an aside. But it's regular is pretty much the phone that you would expect one plus to release this time of year. The reason why the pro is because they're actually taking a step beyond that place that you would normally expect to won't plus fun to occupy. So there are a lot of significant hardware improvement. So we'll have design improvements. The phone is just a lot more impressive attack level and will competitive with the likes of Samsung an app even apple on this is one plus taking to the next level in the pro Monica really means is that it's than Olonga just sort of scrappy upstart company that will sell you something. With the latest Snapdragon new stock Android for reasonably affordable price. They were actually sort of taking it to the big players in the game. I think with the pro. Yeah. It really feels more like an actual direct competitor rather than just talking about the the whole further price thing. Yeah. Where especially when you when you look at things like what they've done with the display. We'll talk about the display a ton and the design and just a few of the the additions all around it doesn't feel so much a bare bones kind of reference designee type of phone. I mean, even the six and six T, which you were the best designs. It's definitely gotten better with each generation and even their half generations of the T models. The seven pro feels like dramatically different device on a completely separate track and level from the phones before it in terms of hardware. Just. Design wise, you can stick any premium small manufacturers logo on the back of this thing, and it wouldn't look out of place. Absolutely. All right. So this is the company's first phone with triple camera setup. It has a ninety hurts display. It has arguably one it's it's gone from having some plus phones have gone from having some of the worst hap- deke's to having among the best haptic. So everything in here has been improved. It has obviously the latest Snapdragon processor up to twelve gigs of ram up to five hundred twelve gigabytes of storage, stereo speakers. Yes. Dairy speakers. What it doesn't have off the bat. We it does not have wireless charging, and it is not technically water resistant. It doesn't have an IP certification. If you've seen the bucket promo that was released a guess now just under two weeks ago. You'll know what that means the company does not like paying for that. IP certification. But it's also saying that it'll withstand some ingress, you shouldn't probably swim with it. So these are the compromises that plus made to keep the price at a relatively low number six hundred sixty nine dollars is still wait Scheepers than even the galaxy ten e and yet this is clearly aimed at the top of the line products on the market, and it's got carrier partnerships, or at least partnership in the US to boot. So Alex where where does this place one plus in the ecosystem now, especially in the west, I think you have to treat them as as of much table manufacture, right? They've been they've been a long time. It's been a long time coming, but I would have -solutely in terms of the market presence that the the maybe not quite right up with with. Aung maybe this is me of having blinders on little bit in this small phone enthusiasts spice, the we all live in. But I think we in terms of the quality of the products, the price, you have to treat them as one of the plays out that especially if you look at what people

In Test of Boeing Jet, Pilots Had 40 Seconds to Fix Error

"During flight simulations? The New York Times is reporting recreating the problems of the doomed lion airplane pilots discovered that they had less than forty seconds to override an automated system on Boeing's, new jets, and avert disaster. The the more. We learned about this by Kel. It's is if the planes were made as the president said, you know, the planes are too complicated. And the pilots didn't get the training the hands on training that they needed before. They're putting people's lives at risk. Yeah. It's starting to look like that. Which is certainly the crashes could have been prevented with more training. And the question I think now starts to become whose fault is that is it the airline's fault is it's Boeing's fault. Is it some combination and what really happened in the frugal process for this? I mean, you have forty seconds. Yeah. In the testing here, they might have been able to figure this out. But I mean, if you're in at Boeing right now testing this system, you know, what's going to be thrown at you. And you know, what's what's going to be expected of you, forty seconds. I don't know. I'm not I'm not sure, but that doesn't sound like a lot of time it doesn't and the the thing that makes Boeing look guilty here is they were selling that. Upgraded system. Right. You could pay an extra two million or three million dollars and get the system that was not quite as complicated. And they've acknowledged that in tacit acknowledges again from today's New York Times in a tacit acknowledgement of the systems problems. Boeing is expected to propose a software update that would give pilots more control over the system and make it less likely to trigger erroneously my God. I mean, that's that to me is an acknowledgement that they were just trying to juice another two or three million dollars a profits out of these planes. And yeah, you know, maybe we lose a couple, but you're going to pay that extra three million dollars per plane. I it's not in my opinion. That's not a very good look for Boeing now. And I still think that we do not have nearly enough of a PR approach being done by Boeing to address these issues. They've started to come out with a few comments here and there, and maybe they just really can't say anything until the the final. Studies come out about what happened with the most recent crash, but I really think you need a BP level of investment in PR campaign to turn this story around because I think, you know, the average person. Personally, you know flying. It doesn't really make me nervous. I'm pretty okay with that. But you know, you have some people find them planes. That are nervous already this this could create a lasting issue for airlines and therefore BP especially for for Boeing, well, especially if they lose another plane, even even beyond that if they don't lose another plane, and they don't come out in dress this issue head on and go to the public and explain to them the change that they have made to make this plane safer than initially was right, then there's doesn't need to be another crash. People have lost faith in this already. They've no margin for error. Now on this the there's no margin for error because the it's not like they can say, well, it was a terrorist act or blatant pilot fell you had two of them go down for the same reason. And again that's damning evidence against Boeing their stock right now is trading it three hundred and sixty nine dollars. I'm actually somewhat surprised that it's held up as well as it has. I would I would have expected this to go down. It was lower in price. Michael around Christmas. Yeah. I mean, we're at what's that three seventy off at four forty. That's that's a sixteen percent price drop. Yeah. I guess that's not quite as huge as a quite possibly
